and we're gonna test it
one of the naked most powerful on the market
and the most ignorant
or at least one of the most ignorant
in terms of aesthetics and power
The ratio weight-power
makes it really one of the most ignorant bikes

to turn it on, you have to press this button
because we have the key inside our pocket, here we have the revs
fuel, engine temperature, mode, km,
temperature, here the Km / hr,
and the gears on the top right, to access the menu,
like on the 790, you click "set",
the driving mode can be set up in three different
positions, as you can see: street, sports, rain
this will affect the engine output
which from "sports", the most
aggressive, so what we give the handlebar
will be given directly to the throttle valve,
while "street" and "rain" will be modulated

so on "sports" it will give you

Ok guys I'm gonna do an acceleration test
we're in sports mode but the controls are on

the gas fully open without the bike

stays on the ground
while if we turn
the controls off, look how the situation changes
A much more fun driving mode
but less practical, because if you wanna do a start
in this case you can't accelerate
because the bike is constantly wheeling
while with the controls on I have to say
you can
use it at full power
now let's do a braking test
You could hear that the braking was really effective,
the tires screech even with the ABS
but it works perfectly, look at 50
how much space there is left
there's a meter basically, a really powerful braking
of course this kind of bike needs brakes like this
we have a double front disc, 320mm,
with two calipers M50 by Brembo
4 pistons,
and now let's go take a few turns
we'll take the highway for a short way
so we'll get to try also the cruise control
ok so the fact that the gopro is still attached
is a good sign, because of the powerful
acceleration and braking... in fact it's sort of leaning forward
due to the braking
Ok we're on the highway, now I'll show you how we can activate the
cruise control
the limit here is 90km/hr
so we're gonna set it like this
so we won't have problems with the Speed Cameras
because usually the cruise control is used
during long trips, so usually
on highways, were you can hit 130km/hr
you just set it to 130 and you're good
for a few hours, because rest assured that
that holding for long periods of time the right throttle
can be tiring in the long run
we reach the optimal speed
that is, the one we want to keep, we push
this button on the left
press down
as you can see here we set the speed we want to keep, that we can increase
by pressing up, 1km/hr at a time
and decreasing, 1km/hr at a time
and the bike will adjust accordingly
as you can see we've set 90km/hr now and the bike
goes at 90km/hr
the moment we press one of the two brakes
as you can see, it deactivates.
Guys, the GoPro was turned off but I think I just hit little bird
it just crossed in front of me, I think I hit it
so I think it's dead...
after doing a few kilometers I can tell you that the seat is really comfortable
the part of
the saddle and the butt
you don't get tired
the position of the back is only slightly leaning forward
so it does not tire the back
the only part of fatigue is the impact with the wind
because obviously we do not have a big coverage
actually, there's no coverage
I'm very used to it since I have a motard anyway
which has no cover, but it does not
reach these kind of speeds. Despite having 177HP
twin V cylinder,
and a big couple, it's a pretty
manageable bike, if you keep low revs
like now I'm at 5th
and it's still every elastic
so it can be used both in
a sport configuration and
in a slightly quieter and more relaxed mode
also for a more touristic drive
in the last period I have tried many naked,
of about 900-1000 displacement
and I must say that many
(not all), but some,
feel very heavy when doing curves,
until you get confident with the
bike in general
while with the 1290 I felt good
right from the start and this is a feeling
I have with basically all the
KTM I've tested. This has a capacity of 1300
but gave me confidence from the start nonetheless
Trajectory change is rapid
the front is really precise
traction control and ABS work really well
Regarding the suspensions,
we have a front fork with
125 mm of stroke
and the rear
156 mm of stroke
having a twin cylinder engine, very powerful,
and being it very light
as soon as you open the gas you feel
the front totally emptying
this initially might seem like the bike is
unstable
since you feel the front moving, but actually
it's all taken into account in this bike
you might get that effect
of exiting the curves in Marc Marquez' style
when the front tends to move from its trajectory
but which instead will go back in place
perfectly on its own
I would like to thank once again
Ferrando motor that gave me the chance to try this bike out
with them I did already the test of the 790 and the
1290 adventure, if you wanna watch them they're on the channel
the sound of this bike is already beautiful as it is
you insert
a complet akrapovic with
mapping, etc, you reach 190HP
and you have an awesome sound
but I have to say that the original sounds
through the GoPro are not as good
not even the modified ones are conveyed correctly
but they can be heard very well
while the original ones might come off as silent
but rest assured that this is one not
as for consumption, now that we have done a few km
we can check
via the TFT display
which shows us the average consumption,
right now we're at 6 lt/100km
so about
17km/lt
which for such a sporty and powerful bike
that we've always used in sports mode
is not much
I want to do a test with the bike
while driving not on a straight road
turning off the traction control
to see how manageable the bike is
without the controls

It's almost basically impossible to use on the road
this bike, because

being this motorcycle so powerful, performing, and bad
