Roll Hunting Nickel Boxes in Michigan - Road Hunting Trip - Duration: 13:48.
so we're at the airport and we're getting ready to go to Michigan and
hopefully I get tsome coin hunts in while my son right there plays a little hockey
and he wins but if not hopefully I find some good coins at least
getting ready for take-off - see you guys soon!
So I'm on the bus on the way to go to get my rental car but the
family decided since it's snowing outside they would stay in the terminal
while I go get the car gotta love it so we're getting ready to
go to a couple of banks I've got a Bank of America about a mile from my hotel
and I've also got a Chase Bank about a mile and a half of motel there about a
half mile apart figured we'll try to get a nickel box and some ones at this B of
A and man enough cash to get another nickel box at the Chase Bank now I'm not
gonna roll the coins back up guys we're gonna hunt them tonight and I'm probably
just gonna dump in a coin star I know but it is what it is figured have a
little fun last the Moe's in Detroit I had some seriously great nickel boxes I
can't really ship them back in my luggage so we got to do something with
them and I don't have time to roll so here's the first B of a we're driving by
let's go all right we got a box of nickels from B of a and I got 401 s they
didn't have new ones I was hoping to press my luck on some great sale numbers
I checked the ones on the bottom of here for the holes and it is circulated
nickels I'm not gonna open them till I get to the hotel room cuz I don't want a
chance spilling them as you guys know so I'm gonna go ahead and go through one of
these traps from right now good in here I'll show a cute otherwise we'll slip it
back in the pocket now we're gonna go to chase and buy another box of nickels for
a Detroit nickel box hunt well good news is that was a dud strap so it's easy to
take it into another bank and buy us a box of nickels with it the bad news is
it was a dud strap hopefully those aren't duds either there was not even a
trinary in here or an old bill all 2009's in 2013 it happens all right
let's go to Chase Bank next Wow as you can see back there we just left a Chase
Bank I do have a nickel box normally I didn't want to open it before
I drag it into the hotel but I do want to make sure
before I get back then it is circulated because if it's not that's no bueno
and it appears yep circulated nickels so we got a Detroit box of nickels from
Chase troit box of nickels from BMA and I'll
tell you guys I'll put a link above here to the last time I did a road hunt in
Detroit we found some early ones and we found out some foreign ones as well so
I'm pretty excited all right let's get him to the hotel and let's get him on it
Lighting's not gonna be the best my discard bins gonna be a ice bucket from
the hotel room and guess what I don't have a nickel mat I forgot to bring one
will quickly start off searching these bills and with star notes low cell
numbers fancy seal numbers you name it mate sir than old and once that finish
that will kick off time with the open chase box and then we'll go ahead and do
the second box second if that even made sense so the star notes aren't rare
they're both part of 3.2 million print runs but we didn't come to Detroit to
look at just bills we came here to see if the nickels are as good as they were
last time I've already opened this chase box so we're gonna start with this chase
box and let me get these three situated make sure we have 50 rolls and we'll get
the Sun started we have the right number of rolls 50 so we're kicking it off with
chase let's do this we're on a roll number five and that's not gonna be a
nickel so let's see what it is
are you kidding me I pot of Buffalo right next to whatever that was
well that's let's look at the buffalo nickel that's in 1934 1934 buffalo with
a denver mint holy cow that's crazy we were coming in here to get this penny
and it is just a co penny it look different size in the in the wrapper and
next next to it is a buffalo nickel and it's a 34d not in the greatest shape but
legible date legible mint and the backs looks pretty clean
I guess I'll point out that the 34d buffalo nickel is hard to find and
uncirculated condition it's one of the more valuable ones if you can find it in
high grades this one right here the back is probably too fine but the front is
probably a vg8 very good aid it's definitely better than good but it's not
quite fine still a buffalo nickel on the board in
the 5th roll that we still have to hunt rule number eight I'm gonna have our
first 40s nickel of the Box 1940 I believe Philadelphia I'm not wiping
that away right now rule number 16
got another 40s nickel here a 1941 philadelphia it's our second from the
40s to go along with three from the 50s and that buffalo number nineteen now
we've got a 1939 here can I get a D in Detroit nope just the 1939 but you know
what I will take it and dirty Jefferson on the board as well rule number 30
we're gonna get our first Canadian nickel of the box I thought I would see
a lot of these up here but I haven't finally got one 1999
rule 31 we got another 40s nickel here this one's in 1940 Philadelphia rule 32
another 40s nickel this one's in 1941 San Francisco rule 36 and another
Canadian nickel that's too for the box this one is a 1998 rule 43 another 40s
nickel this one's actually in 1946 out of Philadelphia rule 45 guys and we've
got a second buffalo nickel of the box and it's got a legible date in 1930 but
it's out of Philadelphia no mint mark still nice find two buffaloes in the box
so obviously chase is not letting us down with buffalo nickel so far five
more rules to go rule 46 and we've got a 1942 nickel but it doesn't have the
silver look and it's not silver but it's out of Philadelphia as well so that's a
good find a lot of good early Jefferson fines in this box plus a couple of
buffaloes maybe we could squeeze out one more good find all right we finish tying
that Detroit box of nickels from Chase and it was a pretty good box we got
quite a few in the 50s the find of the 50s was a 52 Denver semi key date we
also got a couple of 54s as I got a look at when I get home for the s / D mint
mark we got six in the 40s of note was a 42 Philadelphia we got one 39
Philadelphia which ought to check for the double die reverse when I get back
home and then the stars of the show were the
1930 Philadelphia and 1934 Denver minted buffalo nickels so it was good to find a
couple of those no 2009 switch my friends up north usually tell me they
don't find a lot of them so I wasn't surprised that I didn't get any and no
Silver's in this box however it's a two box hunt and tomorrow we'll crack into
this B of a nickel box and see if they can beat out the box will chase figure
before I get into that second box we take a little intermission in the snow
at the hockey game all right it's just no all right we're
on box two and this is the Bank of America box figured I doing live opening
on this one even though we already saw at the bottom of the other side with the
holes ain't anything special but you never know what's on top all right
that's been standing out is great it doesn't mean there's not something good
inside the rolls so let's go and get this started
and look you guys in if I find something we're showing old number seven got our
first find of the box 1983 Canadian Walton for nine at the box and we've got
ourselves a 39 well I have a D or an estimate mark on the back it doesn't
still brilliance fine of the box happy to have it roll number ten just pulled
it out and we've got ourselves a 1941 Endor
it's a 1941 philadelphia same roll towards the back of the stack another 41
and it is a philadelphia as well we also found a 2009 my first here in Michigan
roll number 13 sending a couple of finds I've got a 1948 Philadelphia here and
then I believe I have another Canadian right here and it's a 1988 roll number
30 got another Canadian nickel here this one's in 1996 third of the box we're all
32 we've got our 4th Canadian in the box and I think it's our oldest 1982 roll
number 34 is gonna give us one of the rarities of the box a 40s nickel don't
have a lot of those it's a 47s though
look in the 40s we've only got a handful a lot of 50s though it's been a while
but role 44 is gonna give us another 40s nickel here 1940 Philadelphia I'm gonna
point out that I did find in 1955 D I don't have my loop or my microscope but
that certainly looks like it could possibly be a deal ver s so awful look
at that when I get home but I want to show that one off as well roll 46
towards the end of the rule another 41 nickel this one's a Denver roll 40 it's
gonna have a 1948 out of Philadelphia all right we've completed that box of
nickels from Bank of America here in Michigan and no silver no Buffalo's in
that box a lot of Jeffersons though pretty happy
about that we got quite a bit from the 50s especially got four Canadians a
couple of nickels a popular upgrade but I don't have my books here of course so
I'll take these guys home and see how they do
we did find 109 a nickel with a hole in the head crazy and then we've got this
one 1955 that I'm eager to see under a microscope because it looks like it
could be a deal over s rpm we did find that 55 D that I thought might be a deal
brass I went ahead and looked at it under the microscope man it's hard to
tell if that's dirt or damage or what but that's kind of reminds me of what
the deal were s would look like so I probably need to wipe that down load
better to see if that's just dirt that's got humilated but it sure is
accumulating where the s would be overall not as good of a nickel hon as I
had last time I was in Michigan but that first box with a couple of buffaloes
really made me happy hope you guys enjoyed this road hunt
with me if you did I appreciate a thumbs up and as always happy hunting and
thanks for watching well the bad news is I had to redeem all those nickels of a
Koi star so I paid about $20 in points our fees from what I had left and what I
redeemed the good news is and the Coinstar been we've tried a wheat penny
take a look at this so in the Coinstar there was three pennies about 1969
denver an 89 trashed one and a wheat penny so you can't get mad at that if we
flip it around for you
1940 Philadelphia so we got some of our money back in finding a wee penny that
makes me happy and the nickel boxes are empty gotta take them to the trash it's
12 degrees here in Troy it is cold all right
I wanted to show you that

Evonne: "I Feel That My Girls Have Been Raped By Their Father" | Iyanla: Fix My Life | OWN - Duration: 5:00.
I have been listening to some of the craziest mess I have
ever heard in my life today.
Mom, talk to me.
What is going on here?
EVONNE: What's going on, from my perspective,
is that I feel that my girls have been raped by their father
and they haven't that difficult time
of really knowing the truth.
Who do you believe was raped?
Whitney and Nichole.
- You believe that? - Yes.
So how did you come to that understanding?
When Nichole was two and three years old,
she would go stand by the bath--
by the [INAUDIBLE] and scream and holler
and use the bathroom on herself.
And when Whitney was three years old,
she would hide up under the bed when it was time
for him to get off from work.
I missed paying attention to what was going on with her
because we were married.
But after the domestic violence that I
endured, when I moved out and move to my own apartment--
IYANLA: So you left him. EVONNE: Yes, ma'am.
Why-- why?
Was it because you--
It was because he beat me down, drug me across the road,
and strangled me.
After that incident, during that year,
he had called and said he wanted to get the girls.
However, when he came by to get them,
he said he just wanted Whitney.
And nevertheless, I told him, make
sure you bring her back because they have to go
to a vocational Bible study.
And of course he was late.
But when Whitney came in, I wanted to get her
dressed and ready.
And then when I pulled her panties down, there was blood.
And when I saw the blood I just--
I instantly picked up the phone and dialed
911 said their father--
he had Whitney and she was there back at my house
with blood in her panties.
And so, what happened then?
EVONNE: Police came and got him, and arrested him,
and we all went down.
So everybody had to be examined.
IYANLA (VOICEOVER): Your memory may not be
your best witness to the truth.
IYANLA: When I start hearing stuff so crazy--
you know, like, the young people say,
I had to go look up the receipts.
Some of them from just public records.
The other medical reports that I have here,
do not conclude it was rape or molestation.
Did you know that?
Mm-mm.
IYANLA: We have one document that it was indicated that what
was originally reported to be blood in her panties
was actually Popsicle stains.
Mm-hmm.
IYANLA: Did you know about that?
Yeah.
IYANLA: If it was Popsicle stains,
what was the conclusive evidence that this man
sexually molested his children?
When I pulled her panties down, I saw blood
and I took her to the hospital.
And a lady came in to examine her and she took the panties.
When we made it back to court, they were similar,
they were brand new, and they had
Kool-Aid in the seat of them.
I think it was switched.
Hm.
Then I have a complaint taken out by you against Darcy
Moselle Hughes that--
"Intentionally caused bodily injury to the child
or has sexually abused the children--"
Read that line right there.
"--by sleeping in the bed with a child and asking
her to open her legs."
That would have been Whitney.
IYANLA: But then, help me understand this.
I have here--
"To grant custody of Britney to the plaintiff, her father."
Yes, ma'am.
So if I'm to understand this--
in one year, you get a protection order
because the man is sleeping in the bed with the children
and asking them to open their legs.
And then, 10 years later, you send her to live with him?
I just really need to understand how it is that you've got three
girls that you believe were sexually
molested by their father, and you let
them go spend time with him.
EVONNE: They wanted to spend time with their dad
because they felt like I was keeping him from them.
They wanted to go stay with the man that molested them?
Then that was something that I didn't want.
They were teenagers and I felt like that they
could protect themselves.

Beginning Contemporary Dance I Follow Along Class With @MissAuti - Duration: 12:11.
- Hey friends,
today I'm gonna be teaching you
a contemporary dance routine,
and this is geared more towards beginners.
So I'm gonna be teaching you every single movement
one by one just like you're in class with me,
and then I'll show you the whole combo
at the end with music.
This way you can practice at home, and learn a dance.
Alright guys so, I know that some of you have been
commenting about wanting the videos
mirrored from behind, but the problem with that
is that filming through the mirror
kind of makes me look a little bit smaller,
so it would actually be harder to see the movement.
So I'll make sure I explain it super clearly
so that you know what's happening.
Alright, so we're gonna start parallel,
and you're gonna start with a rounded back over.
We're gonna come up to our knees,
and then stand all the way up,
your right hand crosses to your left shoulder,
your left hand crosses to your right shoulder,
then you pull them apart,
and you release your right arm out with your palm up.
Let's try that again.
So we go round back,
seven, eight, we go knees,
stand, right, left,
open, extend, and look.
From here, I wrote toss a coin
in my choreography book because
(distant chattering)
before we rudely interrupted,
we are tossing a coin.
So our right arm is extended,
we're looking towards that palm.
We toss the coin, follow the arm
until it frames your face, okay?
And from you framing your face,
you pull up to your chest.
My right hand's on my chest,
my left hand is kind of on my rib and belly button.
Okay, so let's run that back from the tip top.
We're in a flat back, we go knees,
up, that reminded me of like
♪ Head and shoulders ♪
(laughs) okay, alright, and we're back.
We're here, flat back, we go knees, up,
cross to your left, cross to your right,
open, extend, look to your right,
toss your coin, frame your face,
plié, chest, belly button, kinda?
Should we try that with music?
I'm like talking to you like you're gonna answer me (laughs)
let's try that with music.
(lighthearted guitar music) five, six, seven, eight.
Knees, stand, cross, cross,
open, arm, toss,
frame, lay up, good.
'Kay, (snaps) where are we?
Where are we?
Oh, we're here.
'Kay, immediately after you lift,
you step right, and then your left foot's
gonna cross in front when your arms drop, okay?
So we went
step right, cross left.
We're doing a chaîné which you should know people, yeah?
A chaîné, and then you press down with your palms,
a little bit of drama.
Okay, so we're here.
Step right, cross left,
chaîné, push down.
My left foot is up on a nice, steady point,
I'm gonna open across, and open up to the ceiling
with my left arm.
So one more time, we went push,
left arm threads and opens,
and then we push back down with our palms.
Okay, from here you really have to squeeze your booty
'cause you're gonna fall over if you don't.
You squeeze into a nice grand plié, you're gonna push,
and lift to an enveloppé.
Let's rewind, okay?
We went palms, open,
palms, grand plié,
I'm using my left foot to push into the floor, and up,
and my right leg is going straight to a passé.
Straight, to a passé.
My arms are going out,
and out.
Out, and out,
all together is grand plié, out, and out.
You're gonna step in front,
turn over your left shoulder,
and reach your right arm up.
I think I'm gonna show that,
rewind, what do you think, Brae?
- Yeah, it's rewind time!
- Rewind!
Okay, (exhales) I'm out of breath.
Let's go from the top, okay, we're here.
Five, six, seven, eight.
Knees, stand, cross, cross, open, arm,
toss, frame, plié, lift,
right, left,
chaîné, palms,
open, palms,
grand enveloppé,
step, extend.
Whoa, let's try that with music.
(lighthearted guitar music) Five, six, seven, eight.
Knees, up, cross, cross,
open, and toss, frame,
plié, up, step, chaîné,
push, open, push,
grand enveloppé,
step, reach.
Try that a kajillion times.
Okay guys, so you're now facing the back.
You have your right foot as the primary supporting leg,
you're reaching with your right arm.
I'm now gonna tuck my left leg,
from here, you sit onto your left butt cheek,
'kay, you roll to the front,
you roll onto your knees facing the back.
From here, you sit right butt cheek,
right hand, lay all the way down.
That's an easy part (chuckles)
okay, let's try that again.
So you have extension facing the back,
tuck left knee, sit left butt cheek,
roll right-left to the front, sit on your knees
facing the back, right butt cheek,
right hand, lay down.
From here, from here,
you're gonna curl in like you're having a little moment,
a little drama moment to yourself,
you're gonna extend back out,
you're gonna curl back in, I'll show you what I mean.
So you curl in, extend out, curl in,
then you're gonna roll on your back,
the left leg goes up, right leg goes up,
left leg tucks, right leg tucks.
So now you're facing the front, okay?
Let's stand up and try it again.
We are somewhere.
Okay we're here,
tuck in the left butt cheek, roll to the front,
face the back, butt cheek,
right hand, lay back,
in, out,
in, left, right, lay on your left side.
From here, you're just sitting up
by pushing on your right hand,
and you're coming out like this with your,
what are these called?
Your feet. (chuckles)
Your feet flat on the floor.
Now this next part looks kind of complicated
if you haven't done a shoulder roll before,
but it's not that bad.
So, here's what your shoulder roll looks like.
First of all, you're gonna extend straight out
before you roll, and then you're going to roll back,
tuck your knees,
tuck your toes, stand up.
So I'm gonna break that shoulder roll down for you.
I go over my right shoulder, but you can go over
your left shoulder, so whichever way feels better
for you to tuck your neck in, do that way.
You don't have to do right side,
do what feels better for your body.
Again, straight legs,
so the first movement is to roll back.
It's really hard to do slow, so I'm gonna do my best
to teach you.
But you need to roll into the teeny tiniest
little rollie pollie ball you possible can.
Then when you're rolling,
you tuck your chin into your chest,
and your eyes are supposed to look at your belly button.
So think of yourself going from here to here.
But you're rolling over your shoulder.
Just try it a couple times.
If you have mats like those ones,
or just a carpet, or something that's not like cement
(laughs) I recommend practicing on that first.
So remember to just keep it as tight and compact
as possible, and just
send your body backwards, okay?
Let me know how that goes, so we're here.
We push out, we tuck and roll,
I'm landing on my knees first, putting my hands down,
tucking my toes, coming up straight.
Where am I going?
I still have the rest of the dance to teach you.
Okay, we are almost to the end guys.
So we come up, we're beautiful, we roll,
we might be dizzy, it's okay, don't show fear.
We're here, we roll our shoulders forward,
and push our palms down.
Now, I'm gonna softly wave to the left,
wave to the right, and I'm gonna come up here,
and then I do two sinks,
one, two.
Then, I extend my left leg into a big lunge
as my hands kinda pull like a curtain open.
Lunge, come together with other foot, and stand up.
You've made it to the end,
let's try that again.
So we went shoulder roll, stood up,
roll, push, wave left, wave right,
right hand to your chest,
left hand up, two sinks, one, two,
open the curtain, lunge with your left,
right leg comes into your left, and we stand up.
Let's try it from the tip top.
You guys, if there's any parts that you
are kind of having trouble with, go back and rewind them.
This is YouTube, this is 2019, you can do this class
as many times as you want.
But if you're ready, let's go from the tip top with music.
Alright guys, good luck,
don't forget to breathe.
(lighthearted guitar music) five, six, seven, and
Easy peasy, you guys,
I hope that you liked that, it was fun,
it's a little tough to talk and dance, and you know,
be a...
Brae, help me out.
Be-- - A YouTuber.
- Be a YouTuber (laughs), my life is so hard you guys.
But seriously, I'm excited to be dancing with you
every single week,
please practice that, let me know if you guys do it.
Post on your IG stories,
I'm getting a lot of messages from you guys.
It's getting really hard to keep up,
but it's super fun to hear from you,
and all of my friends from around the world
so thank you for watching.
We have a new dancer's corner every single Monday,
and new dance vlog every single Wednesday,

How to talk about your job in English: 10 Key Verbs - Duration: 25:19.
Hello.
My name is Emma, and in today's video, we are going to teach you 10 verbs that you can
use when you're talking about work and jobs—okay?—and careers.
So these are 10 very important verbs that you will hear a lot in movies, and on TV shows,
and maybe even your professional life.
Okay?
So, let's get started.
So, for each of these verbs, I'm going to tell you what they mean; I'm going to tell
you the grammar of the verb, because that's also very important; and I am going to talk
about pronunciation, so: "How do we say it?"; and spelling.
Each of these parts, so meaning, grammar, pronunciation, and smell…
Spelling; not smelling.
Spelling can really help you remember these verbs better.
Okay?
So, my first verb: "to be hired".
What does it mean: "to be hired"?
Well, this is a very good meaning; this is something very exciting.
When you are hired, it means you get a job.
Okay?
So, it's: You've given your resume to a company, you've done the interview, and
guess what?
You are hired.
Okay?
That means: "You've gotten the job!
Well done."
So, I've drawn a smiley face here, because this is very exciting.
So, let's look at an example of the verb "hired".
A long time ago, when I was a lot younger: "I was hired by Blockbuster."
Okay?
So, a company, I don't know if it still exists, but: "I was hired by Blockbuster."
Okay?
So you'll notice something about this verb.
We have here the subject, which is "I" – "Emma", and we have the verb "hired",
but you might also notice this word "was".
"I was hired".
This means that this verb is in what's called the passive tense.
Okay?
So, when we're talking about maybe our friends or our family, or people we know who got a
job, we will say: "My friend was hired by", and the company.
Or, you know: "I was hired by this company."
Okay?
Now, this is a bit different.
So this is in the passive and it's very important to remember the word "was".
We have here our…
Our same verb: "hired", but in this case it's in the active tense.
And if you don't know what I mean by passive or active, that's okay, because we have
a video on that which will help explain that; but the point here is that: Usually when you
use "hired", you usually have a "was" in front of it or a "were", depending
on if you're saying: "he", "she", "we", "they".
We usually have it like this.
If you're talking about a company or the boss of a company—a manager—and we're
talking about their role and that they want to employ someone, in this case we would use
the active, which is this sentence: "The manager hired John."
Okay?
And so you'll notice here…
I could also say: "Blockbuster hired me."
You know, if I was a famous actress, I could say: "Universal Studios hired me for their
next movie."
Not true, but just an example.
So, the key here is there's no "was" or "were" in the active form.
But for you, you will probably be mainly using the first form – the passive form.
Okay?
And if you have questions about this, you can watch our videos on passive and active
tenses.
So: "I was hired by Blockbuster."
How do I pronounce this word?
Well, the first thing is: It is two syllables.
So, we say: "hi-er".
Okay?
So I want you to repeat after me: "hi-er".
Okay.
And so it's kind of like the word: "hi", "er".
And in terms of the spelling…
One of the great things with verbs that have to do with jobs is a lot of them are spelt
very similarly; they have very close spellings.
So, for example, we have here: "hire".
There's another job verb that we'll be talking about soon that does not mean the
same thing, but it also has "ire".
Can you guess what that word is?
"Fire".
Okay?
"Fire" rhymes with "hire"; they both have similar spelling…
Spellings.
And we also have another word: "retire".
Okay?
So, "i-r-e" you'll see are very common with job verbs.
All right, so let's look at another verb: "to earn".
Okay?
This is a great verb: "to earn".
It means to make money.
Okay?
So you've gotten the job, you have been hired, so what happens now?
The best part: You start to make money.
You earn money.
Okay?
So, I've drawn a happy face here because this is also a very good thing about jobs.
So, here are some examples of using this verb in a sentence.
I have my friend Jack, here…
Or Jake, sorry; not Jack.
"Jake earns well."
This means…
This means Jake makes a lot of money.
Now, compare this to Ben: "Ben doesn't earn a lot."
So that means Ben does not make a lot of money.
So, in terms of the pronunciation of this word, I know a lot of students want to pronounce
"ea" as "e", which usually is right; but in this case, we don't pronounce this
as "ern", we pronounce this as: "urn".
So, like this: "urn".
And if you can't really remember, just think of the word "learn", because we have the
word "earn" in it.
Okay?
So that should help you with pronunciation.
So, I want you to say it with me: "earn".
Okay.
Great.
So, now we have another verb that means the same thing as "earn", and that is "to
get" or "to be paid".
Okay?
So, when we're talking about "pay", we're talking, again, about making money.
So, again, I have a smiley face because this is one of the best parts about working, is
getting paid.
"I get paid every week."
This means I make money every week.
"Sue gets paid every two weeks."
You might also talk about how well somebody gets paid.
Just like "earn": "Jake earns well.", "Jake gets paid well."
Okay?
"Ben doesn't earn a lot.", "Ben doesn't get paid a lot."
So they have the same meaning.
So, in this case, like we've talked about the passive before with up here: "I get
paid" or "I am paid", this is a passive sentence.
Now, if you don't know what that means – don't worry.
Okay?
You can watch a video, again, on that.
But the main thing is: When we're talking about ourselves and how much money we're
making, we usually use this: "I get paid a lot of money.", "I get paid, you know,
a little money."
Okay?
We can also talk about companies, so when I worked at Blockbuster, I was working, you
know, the front desk, so the company at that time paid well.
Okay?
"The company pays well.", "The company doesn't pay well."
So, in this case, when we're talking about the company, we're using the active voice.
Okay?
So, we're not using the word "get", here; we're just using the word "pay".
And you'll notice that the spelling of the verbs, even though it's the same verb, they're
spelt differently.
Okay, so in terms of pronunciation: "pay", it rhymes with "day".
And we have: "paid".
Okay?
So this is not pronounced like: "said".
It looks like "said", but it's not pronounced like that.
It's pronounced: "paid".
"Pay" and "paid" when we're talking about it in the passive voice or in the past
tense.
All right.
Now let's look at some more verbs that have to do with jobs.
Okay, so, so far you have been hired, you have earned lots of money, you've been paid
really well by your company – so, what happens next?
Well, the next verb we're going to talk about tells you just that.
"To be promoted".
Okay?
So, when you are promoted—there's a happy face here—this is a very good thing, to
be promoted.
This means if this is you down here, you're moving up and up and up in the company, so
you're going from your position to a higher position.
Okay?
So, imagine if I was a police officer, and I was great at my job, I worked there for
some years, and suddenly…
This might be a bit of a jump, but suddenly: "I was promoted to Chief of Police."
It means I've moved from my position to a higher position.
Okay?
And this new position, I'm going to earn more money, probably.
So: "I was promoted to Chief of Police.", "I was promoted to Principal.", "I was
promoted to Head Teacher."
Okay?
"I was promoted to Professor."
So, these are all examples of moving up to a higher job.
And so, again, like we were talking about with some of those other verbs, like: "hired",
we have here the word "was".
Okay?
And then we have "promoted" with "ed", it's the past participle of "promote"
– this means this is a passive sentence, because the promotion is happening to us.
Okay?
So, we're using the passive voice here, and we're saying: "I was promoted to Chief
of Police."
So, if you have a job and you've moved up in the job, you can say: "I was promoted
to ________."
Or maybe you know a friend or your family, when they move up at work, you can say: "They
were promoted.", "She was promoted.", "He was promoted.", "We were promoted."
Okay?
And then here is the new job title.
Now let's look at the active voice: "The company promoted me."
So, the company is doing this.
They're helping me move up.
Okay?
So I could say: "The manager promoted me.", "My boss promoted me."
And so, in this case, we don't have the word "was" or "were"; we just have
the verb "promoted" because this is the active voice.
So: "I was promoted to Chief of Police.", "The company promoted me."
Okay, so now let's look at pronunciation.
"Pro" is kind of like "progress", okay?
That's what "promote" reminds me of; it reminds me of "progress", and it has
the same prefix to it: "pro".
"mote".
Okay?
So this is two syllables: "pro-mote".
And when we say it, we put the stress…
Or we say the second part louder and longer.
"I was promoted".
"Promote".
Okay?
So now let's look at some more verbs.
Okay, now we have the opposite of "promoted", which as you can see a sad face here, this
is: "to be demoted".
"Demoted".
So, what does it mean "to be demoted"?
Well, here we're going up, up, up in the company; whereas when we're demoted, we're
going down to a lower job.
Okay?
So this is not a good thing.
We're going from our high position to a lower position.
Okay?
So, for example, maybe I made a mistake at the company.
Okay?
Maybe I was Chief of Police for a day, and then I made some big mistakes, and because
of those big mistakes, I was demoted.
So, I went down maybe back to my old job, or maybe even lower.
Okay?
So, "demoted" is not a good thing.
And, again, we have this in the passive voice: "I was demoted.", "He was demoted.",
"She was demoted.", "We were demoted.", "They were demoted."
Okay?
Now, if the company, like here…
If the company is doing the demotion, we would say: "The company demoted me."
Okay?
So: "I was demoted.", "The company demoted me."
So, very similar to "promoted", except opposite meanings.
And, again, this is two syllables: "de-mote", and the stress is on the second syllable.
"I was demoted".
"Demote".
"The company demoted me."
Okay?
So, we have a positive thing; we have a sad thing – what's next?
Okay, this is a scary thing: "to be fired".
All right?
This is probably the job…
The job verb you're going to hear the most.
Hopefully it doesn't happen to you, but we hear it a lot in movies and TV.
I hope it doesn't happen to you.
"To be fired".
So I've drawn here a very angry person, because usually when you are fired, you are
not happy.
It means you lose your job, and it's usually because the company thinks you did something
wrong.
Okay?
So maybe you were fired because you stole a lot of money from the company.
Maybe you were fired because, you know, you made a lot of mistakes on the job.
Maybe you were fired because, you know, your boss didn't like you and maybe it wasn't
fair.
Okay?
So, "to be fired" is that you lose your job in a very negative way for a reason.
"Jim was fired.
He stole money from his company."
Just an example.
And, again, we have here…
It's in the passive form, so that means we have the "be" verb or "was", and
"fired" with "e-d" or the past participle.
So: "Jim was fired.", "I was fired.", "He was fired.", "She was fired."
It means lose your job.
So, now…
Now let's talk about the active voice.
So, we can talk about our boss.
"My boss fired me.", "The boss fired Jim."
So, because the boss is the one doing the actual saying: "You're fired"…
If you think about Donald Trump from his TV show, he used to always say: "You're fired".
"The boss fired Jim."
Okay?
So this is not in the passive tense; this is in the active voice.
This one is in the passive voice.
And hopefully, you know, you don't get fired, so hopefully you won't have to use this;
but if you ever do, you can say: "I was fired."
Okay, so in terms of pronunciation, "fire", it's two syllables.
"Fire".
And it rhymes with: "hire" – "fire".
Okay?
And just like the verb we looked at before: "hire", it has the same "i-r-e" spelling,
and in this case we just have the "f" for "fire".
All right, now let's look at some more verbs that have to do with jobs.
Okay, so we've talked about getting fired or when, you know, people are fired.
So let's look at some other reasons why we might leave our company or our job.
So we have the next verb: "to be laid off".
So this is not the same thing as being fired.
When we're talking about being fired, we're usually talking about your company thinks
you made a mistake or your boss didn't like you, or there's some reason why, you know,
you're getting fired, and usually it's a negative or a bad reason.
When you get laid off, a lot of the times…
You lose your job, but you know, you didn't make a mistake or you didn't do anything
wrong.
It could be because the company is closing a factory; maybe the company has too many
people working there, and so, you know, they're getting rid of some jobs, but it's not because
you made a mistake.
Okay?
It's something to do with the company needs less workers.
So, it's still a sad thing, though; I've put a sad face.
With "fired", I put an angry face because usually you're really angry when you're
fired.
When you're laid off, you know, a lot of people feel really sad.
Here's an example of the verb "lay off" in a sentence: "I was laid off because the
factory is closing."
Or: "I was laid off because my office needs less people."
Okay?
So, again, we have this in the passive voice, meaning we have the "be" verb or "was",
and then we have "lay" in the past participle: "laid".
"I was laid off."
Okay?
"People were laid off at my company because we had…
We didn't have enough money to pay them."
So, here I said it's in the passive form.
We also have in the active form, when the company is doing the action.
"The company laid off 20 workers".
"I was laid off.", "The company laid off", so you'll notice here we have the
word "was" because it's passive, and here we don't because it's active voice.
So, in terms of pronunciation: "lay" rhymes with "pay".
So, again, we see a connection with job vocabulary.
"Lay", "pay".
And just like we had "laid off", where we spell it: "p-a-i-d"…
Or, sorry: "paid off", we have "laid off", so it's the same spelling: "a-i-d".
Now, compare this to when we're talking about a company, we have this maybe in a different
form, where we have "l-a-y-s".
So, be careful here because a lot of people make spelling mistakes when they spell "laid
off".
This is how we spell the past participle.
Okay?
So, be careful when you're spelling this word because it's tricky.
Even for regular English speakers, "lay" and "laid" is one of those really confusing
things for spelling.
Okay?
So now let's look at some other verbs.
We have here: "to quit" and also "to resign".
So these mean almost the same thing.
When we quit, it means we don't want the job anymore, so we tell our boss, you know:
"I quit.
I'm leaving."
It means you don't want the job; you're going to find a new job.
Or maybe you already have found a new job.
The word "quit" is a bit informal, though.
Okay?
So, I wouldn't…
If I was quitting my job, I'd tell my friends: "Yes, you know, I quit today", but I wouldn't
write to the company: "I quit."
I would use the word "resign", because this is the professional word.
So, these have the same meaning, but "quit" is more informal – it's how we talk to
our friends in conversation; whereas "resign" is what we would write to our bosses.
"I resign from my position."
So, here is an example: "She quit because she got a better job."
Lucky her.
"He resigned because he found a new job."
Or: "He resigned because he didn't like the company; he didn't like his boss."
Okay?
So, this is different from being fired, because it's your choice when you quit.
You make the decision; it's your choice.
And that's why you'll notice it's not in the passive form, we don't have: "She
was quit."
No.
This is always active.
"I quit.", "You quit.", "He quits.", "She quits."
In terms of the word "quit", this is one of those irregular verbs in English where
we don't use it with "e-d".
So, if you're talking about the past, you know: "20 years ago, I quit my job", we
never say "quitted".
Okay?
What we say is "quit" for the present, as well as for the past tense.
This is different from "resigned".
"Resigned" in the present, we can say: "resign"; and in the past, you'll notice
it's a regular "e-d" verb: "resigned".
So, in terms of pronunciation, let's just practice this quickly.
A lot of people, they don't know how to pronounce this word because usually "q"…
It's not really a letter that comes up a lot in English, so let's say this word together.
"Quit", "quit".
Okay?
And in terms of this sound: "resigned", you'll notice it's two syllables.
"Resign".
And even though we have an "s" here, it's pronounced like a "z": "rezign".
"I resigned from my company today."
Okay?
So, be aware of those pronunciation differences.
Okay, the last verb you are going to learn today from this lesson is a really happy verb;
we're ending on a very happy note, and that is "to retire".
So, what does it mean "to retire"?
Well, when we retire from our job, it means we're leaving work, but it's not because
we don't like the job or because a better job comes along – it means we're finished
work forever.
We don't need to do any more work.
We're older.
You know, depending on your country, there's different ages to retire.
In some countries, maybe it's 60, maybe 70, maybe 65.
Okay?
So when we're older, we retire, and that means we're finished work; we're finished
for good.
So, for example, my father…
When he retired: "My father retired at 65."
Okay?
I want to retire at 40.
I don't think it'll happen.
I think I will retire probably at 70, because…
Actually, you know, I love teaching, so maybe…
We'll say 70.
I want to retire at 70.
Okay, so let's look at the spelling and pronunciation of this word now: "retire".
So, we have three syllables: "re-ti-re", and then when we say it quickly: "retire".
Okay?
So you'll notice: "retire", I say "ti" a little bit louder and longer.
"Retire".
Okay?
So be careful with the stress, where you put it.
We don't say: "re-tire".
We say: "retire".
"Retire".
And you'll notice, like "hire" and "fire", we have the "i-r-e" spelling again.
"ire".
Okay?
So, be careful with the spelling.
I know a lot of students, the spelling is the thing they don't really think about,
but it actually is really important because when you can spell something, it helps you
to remember it better.
Okay?
So practice your spelling, practice spelling these words, practice using them in sentences
and in conversation.
Again, just, you know…
These words do come up a lot.
We hear about people being fired, people quitting, people being retired, people being hired,
and so these are very important verbs, especially if you're looking for a job or you know
people who are working – we use this a lot.
So, I wanted to thank you for watching this video.

OnePlus 6T vs iPhone XS Max: In-Depth Camera Test Comparison - Duration: 9:44.
Hi guys, it's KJ the MiTechGuy here, and today I have another interesting camera comparison
for you guys.
I will be comparing the cameras found on the OnePlus 6T and the iPhone XS Max.
This is actually a pretty interesting camera comparison because the XS Max literally costs
twice as much as the 6T does.
In this video, I'll be comparing the cameras in various lighting conditions, both indoors
and outdoors, and I will also take a look at the video and audio qualities of both phones.
Make sure to stick around to the end of the video to see how the OnePlus 6T's night
mode performs.
Huge shoutout to Xcentz for sponsoring this video.
Let's get right into it.
The OnePlus 6T houses a main 16 Megapixel sensor that has an aperture of f/1.7.
Its second camera is 20 Megapixels, but has the same aperture and focal length as its
main sensor.
OnePlus says the 2nd camera helps out with portrait mode shots.
The iPhone XS Max has a dual 12-Megapixel camera setup with a main camera with slightly
smaller aperture at f/1.8.
It can capture portrait mode shots with the help of its 2x optical zoom telephoto camera
that has an aperture of f/2.4.
Both phones are capable of shooting 4K video at 30 and 60 frames per second, whereas the
XS Max is also capable of shooting 4K at 24 FPS.
In terms of the front cameras of both phones, the OnePlus 6T's 16 megapixel camera actually
has more than double the megapixel count of the 7 megapixel TrueDepth sensor found on
the XS Max.
These cameras can record 1080p video.
Now I'm going to get into the side-by-sides.
I'm going to start off with pictures taken in ideal lighting scenarios and then I'm
going to look at images taken in progressively worse lighting scenarios until I get to night
time shooting.
And finally, I'll test the video and audio.
This first image shows right off the bat that both of these camera systems are really good.
Somethings I do notice though are the facts that there is a bit more color on the building
and overall, highlights are better exposed in the XS's image.
The XS does have that telephoto lens, so if I had to zoom in and just take a picture of
the building, I would have to just software zoom on the 6T, which results in a good picture,
but noticeably not as detail as the XS's.
Here, the pictures captured by each phone are fantastic.
There are tons of detail and colors look great.
The only real differences arise from the fact that the XS will tend to take the warmer images,
whereas the 6T tends to take the cooler images.
Again, both images are excellent, and the only real differences come in how the colors
are processed.
The 6T clearly has the more saturated image.
Some people love this look, while others hate it.
Let me know where you stand on image saturation down below.
Apple really stepped up their portrait mode game with the XS and XS Max, and a lot of
people really love how the colors turn out on the XS's portrait shots.
OnePlus also really stepped up their image processing on portrait shots and the 6T also
takes very high quality portrait pictures.
All of these side-by-sides were taken from the same vantage point, and right after one
another.
In my opinion, the XS takes the more detailed and overall more visually appealing pictures,
but I also know a lot of people who would really take advantage of the wider-angled
portrait shots taken by the 6T, which aren't bad at all.
The selfie camera of the 6T picks up a ton of detail because of its high megapixel count,
but it also manages to wash out a lot of the colors on my face and in the sky.
The XS's selfie on the other hand, is clearly not as detailed, but the colors look so much
more flattering.
Looking at portrait mode selfies, I can see that both struggled with my hair, as expected,
but at least the XS Max was able to maintain all of the colors in the image.
The 6T's image is bright, but everything is overexposed.
So the two cameras, for the most part, performed pretty good in ideal lighting, which was exactly
what I expected.
So now I'm going to start looking at images shot in non-ideal lighting inside and outside.
This first scenario used to be a very challenging lighting scenario for cameras.
Light is coming in from the background, but both phones do a great job with maintaining
the details in the foreground.
Again, the 6T has the more saturated image, so you can determine for yourself the image
that you prefer.
This lighting situation is interesting because of the fact that the skylights are the only
real light sources.
The 6T actually did the better job of properly exposing the skylights themselves, whereas
the XS kept the entire foreground brighter with help from its Super HDR feature.
On the other hand, this image shows how great the HDR features of the 6T are.
The sun is coming in through the trees, and while the XS was able to maintain more of
the color in the sky, the 6T was able to keep the foreground brighter, while still not allowing
the sun to overpower the image.
Here, the sun was setting and again I was really impressed with how both cameras processed
the image.
The colors are different because of the warm vs cold trends I mentioned earlier, but both
phones were able to pick up a ton of detail given the lighting situation.
Previous OnePlus phones never really performed too well in low light, but now with the 6T's
new night mode, I'm curious how the two phones stack up.
These two pictures were taken in the automatic modes of both devices.
The 6T's image is good and has minimal noise, but the XS I think, took the more natural-looking
picture with colors that are more like what I saw.
With night mode turned on, I am honestly underwhelmed with this shot.
It seems as if the image got even more washed out on the 6T's image.
Let's look at some other shots though.
Now this is the type of shot I expect from a night mode picture.
The longer 3 second exposure was able to get much more information in the shadows of the
image so the 6T was able to pull out more of the colors.
Still, I'd like to commend the XS's ability to take pretty good pictures at night almost
instantly.
The 6T's night mode isn't the best implantation out right now, but if you stay still for those
three seconds, you can get good shots.
I just wish, it did a better job of maintaining the colors on illuminated signs.
Nonetheless, the night mode on the 6T will result in pictures that are overall brighter
because it was simply able to take in more information due to the 3 seconds it takes
to capture each image.
Now for video.
Both phones are capable of shooting 4K video at up to 60 FPS, but I set both to 4K at 30
FPS because that is what this video was uploaded at.
From my experience, the iPhone XS actually has 4K video that is more on the saturated
side when compared to other camera systems.
But when I look at the XS's video next to that of the 6T, the XS actually seems like
the much more naturally looking video.
I don't know what OnePlus was thinking when they made the 4K video this saturated.
The stabilization is decent and it does pick up a lot of detail, but it is impossible to
look past the fact that it looks like there is a fake filter placed over the 6T's video.
As I've said in previous camera comparisons, it is a lot harder to remove saturation than
to add saturation in videos.
Nonetheless, there are people out there that like the colorful look of the 6T's video,
and I respect that they hold that opinion.
It just isn't what I prefer.
In terms of the front camera video qualities of both phones, I'd say that the 6T actually
picked up more details on my face and hair, and also had better image stabilization as
I walked.
Both phones didn't really get my skin tone right, but both phones actually did pretty
good jobs overall in terms of the quality of the video itself.
But when I talk about audio, there is clearly an advantage with the XS.
My voice sounds so much fuller on the XS when compared to the tinny audio on the 6T.
Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.
Before I give my final thoughts about these two camera systems, I wanted to talk to you
about a cool product from Xcentz, who made this video possible.
I even have a coupon code for you guys.
No matter what device you own, you're probably used to carrying around a bunch of these wall
adapters.
They could get bulky, and only some can charge your device fast.
The Xcentz 5-port USB charging station changes the way you charge.
You can set this up on a table, or throw it in your bag, and now all you need is this
one charging station for all of your devices.
It can charge your devices very fast and takes up such little space.
You can expect to top-up your devices' batteries in as little as 35 minutes when using quick
charge 3.0.
It even has advanced safety features like short-circuit and overload protection.
Top this all off with the fact that it looks good and has a non-slip bottom, and it's
clear why I use this every day.
Use the discount code below to receive 27% off of your purchase.
For the most part, I think the OnePlus 6T put up a decent fight against the iPhone XS.
And we cannot simply gloss over the fact that the XS Max literally starts at a price twice
as much as the 6T.
I know that more times than not, the XS's images were better than the 6T's, but it
is impossible to say that the XS produced images that are twice as good.
There were even some images where I can totally see a majority of people choosing the 6T's
image in a blind test.
There's just the little things like proper exposure, 4K video saturation and audio that
are holding the 6T back from more expensive devices.
But the nice thing is that a lot of these issues can potentially be solved through software
updates.
If you haven't already, make sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter and DM me on those
platforms and I will try to get back to you.
As for this channel, make sure you're subscribed and have the notification bell clicked to
stay up to date on my latest videos because I do have a Note 9 camera comparison planned
for later this week.
As always, thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next video.

How To Remove The Effect Of Bullying & Bullies || SugarMamma.TV - Duration: 12:40.
Hi everyone, welcome back to my channel Sugarmama TV. My name is Canna, and today
we're talking about something I've never spoken about before on my youtube
channel. And that is bullying. A couple of weeks ago I went to an amazing Gary Vee
event. And during the presentation they put this amazing quote up. And that was 'You'll never meet a hater that is doing better than you.'. Now I shared that quote
on my Instagram account and I had an overwhelming number of likes and
comments. And I asked you guys whether you would like to see a video around
bullying. Because bullying is something that I have been impacted by. I
experienced in my past, and I still experience today. But it's something that
I have learned with a lot of professional help, and a lot of great
advice from family and friends. As to how to be more resilient around bullying. How
to not let it impact us as much. Now having said that, I'm not completely
immune. It does rattle my cage, it does upset me and hurt me. But I'm finding I'm
able to get over a lot quicker. And I thought it was really important that I
try and share these ideas and tricks with you. So if you know someone that's
impacted by bullying, or you're impacted by bullying yourself this might help you.
Because if we can show that bullies don't impact us, they have no effect on
us. We remove their power and hopefully we can stamp out bullying for
good. Because our world does not deserve to be bullied. Now before I start this
video. I want to make it perfectly clear I am NOT an expert, I'm not a counselor,
I'm not a psychologist, I'm not a psychiatrist. I am just a normal human
being that is also a very sensitive person. But it's something I'm really
passionate about, and I want to focus on solutions. I want to focus on building up
our resilience and strength when it comes to dealing with bullies. Because we
take away a bully's power, Now something really funny is I just went to film this
video about ten days ago. And just before I was about to start planning and
preparing for it. Something happened out of the blue. And I myself personally was
attacked by a really mean, dictating bully. But it got worse the person
was with me, who I love so much and is so incredibly special to me was
also subject to the bullying. And it was actually because I was able to deal with
a lot better than the other person. It really made me realize how serious and
passionate I am about this. And we need to focus on solutions around building up
our own inner strength and confidence. So that bullies can't impact us. Now the sad
thing about bullies is, they don't realize what they're doing. They have no
idea that they are actually being a bully. They're completely oblivious to
the impact of their words, of their actions, of their venom, of their detest
and hatred. It's that's actually incredibly sad when you think about it.
Imagine not being aware of how mean you are. That is just so heartbreaking. So
we've got to remember that is actually the sad thing for bullies. They have no
awareness of the impact they're having on other people. And a bully over a long
run it's gonna end up with no friends and no one really loving them. If they
have friends it's probably coming out of a place of fear, rather than actually a
true genuine authentic love. Now this technique was taught to me many, many
years ago. By an incredibly wise and very spiritual person. And they said when you're
being bullied imagine this huge, large mirror in front of you between you and
the bully. And the mirror is reflected towards the bully. Now the mirror is what
you use to stand strong, so you are protected by it. And you stand there with
your shoulders back your head up high. You know staying centered, connected and
grounded. You just hold that mirror strong. What happens is is you imagine
that mirror, as that bully is like smashing and saying all these hurtful,
mean, cruel, narcissistic, evil, hatred things towards you. It's bouncing off. It
hits the mirror, and because the reflection is the bully. It bounces back
off the mirror straight back to them. But it gives the opportunity for the bully
to see the ugliness and the meanness of what they're doing. And hopefully if
they're a good person, they'll stop dead in their tracks.
See the impact of what they're doing and how hurtful it is. Because it's actually
being bounced or repelled back off the mirror back onto them they get to that
sense of empathy, that sympathy. They get to almost step into that person's shoes
that they're trying to direct that meanness and that hatred to.
In the meantime you're protected by this big strong powerful mirror which is
your emotional shield. The next thing is to give no reaction. Be calm, breathe be
present. Now this is what I did the other day when this happened it was almost
like an out-of-body experience. I was actually like stepping out and watching
this situation play out. And because of that I was able to act in a very calm
and rational way. I was able to step in and protect this person that was with me.
I was able to stand up, I was able to state calm facts. I was able to give
realistic strategies and advice to help try and defuse the situation. Now these
things are all great and good, but sometimes in the heat of the moment we
can fight. We can flight, or what's worse which is what I normally do. Or used to
do in the past, and then is simply freeze. But one way I found to really help
overcome this situation, is to roleplay. So if you know that you're going to be
going to an event or being a situation that's coming up. That you're nervous and
anxious about where you're going. They're going to be bullies around you
or this a chance someone might attack you or bully you. You role play. So you sit
there and imagine all these situations where someone's doing it. But you
roleplay and you see yourself handling the situation with dignity. You see
yourself coming back with the strong come back, so you see yourselves sitting
tall, Standing strong. You see yourself, you role play yourself not reacting. You
think about how are you going to respond back to that person. That typical
predictable mean comment. You role play so you actually almost like an actress
or an actor stepping in. So that you can nail your scene and they have no impact
on you. Because you're so, you planned and prepared so well they just cannot rattle
you. They cannot get that reaction they're desperately trying to get from
you. Now to help make that role play and oscar-winning performance. What I suggest
you do is you jump on YouTube, and I do this all the time especially a really
nice way to end the day. And I will look up on YouTube funny comebacks and you
will see the most amazing comebacks from people like Sofia Vergara, Hillary
Clinton, Taylor Swift. All these amazing empowering women they're having the
wittiest funniest smartest intelligent comebacks. And they do it with such poise,
such elegance, such dignity. But they don't actually bring down the person
that that's trying to attack them or bullying them or criticizing them. They
do it from a place of empowerment where they elevate themselves up, so that the
bully actually shrinks and becomes small and actually really quite irrelevant.
Because they stand there sitting strong and proud. So jump on YouTube. I'll even
link a few videos that I love watching down below. And watch these smart funny
comebacks. And you'll see text message comebacks, you'll see celebrities,
you'll see everyday people. It's actually really incredibly amusing and you
realize that you can actually turn a situation. Where someone's trying to bully
you and actually make them laugh and actually turn that bullying and stop it
dead in its tracks. And actually then start actually projecting love towards
that bully. Because if you can make them laugh, you've got them. And then you can
realize that they're human just like you. And you can actually you start feeling
sorry for them. And as I said project love back to them because really bullies
are just scared cowards deep down. Now the next thing
that I personally do that also really helps. Especially after you know a
situation where you've been bullied. And I would say to myself how would my
friend Sarah react in this. And I know how my friend Sarah would react. She's a
really strong and resilient person. She's like 'Oh well, oh how silly their loss.'.
And just thinking about how they would react. I start to adopt it and I start to
take on that energy and that strength that they have themselves. Another
technique that I learned many years ago. And that is to take an image in your
mind all that mean nasty bully. And strip them, get them in their daggy underwear
looking embarrassed and naked. Then shrink them down in your head make them
really small and if you like even distort their image. Make them have a
really big like, nose or really big ears. Something really unusual, weird about
them. And shrink them down so much so then there are size of an ant. What that
does is makes you realize how small and insignificant they are in your
own life. That they actually, it's no big deal you can just literally look back
you just flick them away. Because they're just irrelevant and insignificant. Again
that helps you deal with when you see them. Because they don't have as much
emotional impact or trigger or reaction within you. The next thing is is talk to
people when this happened. Ten days ago I picked up the phone and I called two of
my closest friends. I explained to them what happened and they were there to
reassure me. To let me know that I handled the situation really well. I did
the right thing and that I'm okay and that I'm gonna be okay. And then I was
able to realize that actually I came of that out of that unscathed.
I came with that yes a little bit rattled a bit shaken up, but I came out
stronger and wiser. And because of that out-of-body experience, by applying these
ideas and tricks that I have learnt in the past. I was able to realize how
messed up and how unhappy and how toxic the bully was, that was directing this
towards me and this other person. And that was very powerful because it made
me realize how far I've come. How much survived, grown as a person. I
used to be a shell of a human being. I used to be incredibly insecure. I used to have
horrible nightmares. I used to sleepwalk, I used to have horrible anxiety that was
just debilitating and I would just freeze in panic. And it made me realize,
wow I have gotten so much stronger. And that makes me want to let you know
anyone can learn to become strong. Anyone can be learn to become resilient. Now
the next thing that it comes to dealing with bullies, and this is why those women
in those youtube videos, and those people replying back to those text messages
is. They have strong resilience. So make sure every day you invest in yourself
and you make yourself become stronger. Focus on the positive things that exist
within you. Focus on the skills that you already have. The skills that you're
strengthening. Focus on the people you've got around you and how much they love
and support you. Focus on your goals, focus on your own motivation. Bring
the energy back to you. Because when you hold your energy, you don't let bullies
take it from you. Now to end this video I want to talk about one final last
thing. And that is the truth. That famous saying by Eleanor Roosevelt 'No one can
make you feel inferior without your own consent.'. If someone called me a green
ugly monster. I am gonna laugh and go that's ridiculous, because I know I'm not
a green ugly monster. However if there's just even a teeny tiny like 1% within me
that thinks I might maybe look like a green ugly monster. That's gonna impact
me. If a bully says that to me it's going to make me feel insecure and worried and
stressed and anxious. So if you feel that make sure you go into that feeling and
question that. Just because you might think that a worry that might exist.
Does not mean it's the truth. So if something gets triggered within an emotion.
Learn to explore it and go through all those feelings. If you feel something
that doesn't feel right don't try and mask it.
Don't try and distract yourself. Feel that emotion, process those emotions that
you come out the other side. And experience that personal growth. Now for anyone
out there that is experiencing bullying and is feeling insecure. Please know that
you are not alone .And please know that I want to be part of the solution in
helping you heal and grow and become stronger in handling and dealing with
bullies. And as I said if you ever see someone being bullied make sure you step
in there and help them. And share with them any techniques or steps that you

Royal Az - Prince William chokes up talking about his children - Duration: 5:38.
They might live in a beautiful palace and have access to anything they could possibly want, but the royal family really are humans, just like the rest of us
They have ups and downs, suffer from stress and anxiety, and ride the emotional rollercoaster that comes with being a parent
That's why the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have made it their mission to use their public profile to talk about mental health issues, and donate generously to charities supporting their cause
Prince William created mental health charity Heads Together in2017, along with his wife the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, to help combat the stigma of mental health
But as the Duke told at panel at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland this week, it was tough to get people to support the charity
He said that every celebrity they approached to back the initiative refused to be involved, because they preferred not to talk abuot "horrendous" events
"What was interesting, when we set up the campaign was that not one celebrity wanted to join us, not one person wanted to be involved in the mental health campaign Heads Together," Prince William said
"We went out to a lot of people and nobody, before we started, was interested in being part of Heads Together, because it was mental health… that was three years ago
And that was a big deal."Now, William says things have slowly begun to change. "Once we started showing people a lot more of what we were going to do, people realised Catherine, Harry and I put our necks on the line here – that actually maybe it was OK, we could join
"The Duke of Cambridge also opened up about his own struggles with mental health, revealing that during his time working with the air ambulance service, some of the scenes he encountered were "very difficult to talk about" and there was one incident so traumatic he didn't think he would "ever get over" it
He said it was especially horrible because it was "related very closely to my children", Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, and choked up at the mention of the three little ones
William said he sought professional help following the incident. "I know that if I hadn't taken the action I that did then I would have definitely gone down a slippery slope and I would have been dealing with mental health on a different level," he said
He said despite being a royal, he was "only human.""You put a suit of armour on… but one day something comes along closely related to your own personal life and it really takes you over a line
"Prince William said it is a particularly British quality to not openly discuss emotions, meaning many people "suffer in silence"
"For some reason, people are embarrassed about their emotions - British people particularly," he told a packed audience at Davos
"A whole generation inherited [this way of coping]. This was the way you deal with your problems: you don't talk about it
"But he said "a new generation knows that's not normal" and is becoming comfortable with the idea of sharing your emotions
He also urged companies to take the mental health of their staff seriously. "It should be so much easier to go to HR and talk about it
It has to come from the top," he said. This isn't the first time the Prince has opened up about his own mental health
Last September, William spoke about the impact his career as a pilot had on his emotional state
His job saw him attend to patients injured in a range of circumstances, including road traffic accidents, fires and even poisoning
"If you see sad things every day, you think all life is like that, you're just seeing all the sad things, all the pain every day," he said during a candid public speech
"I think that for the medical community, particularly, that must weigh a lot on their minds
That you're always dealing with despair, sadness, injury, things that are really quite troubling
"The attrition builds up and you don't really have the opportunity to off-load it
"Just another reason to add to the list of why we love Prince William!
