News on the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 is now rapidly appearing as we get closer and closer

to its April 23rd worldwide release date.

However, there's one region in the world where the title won't be releasing April 23rd - nor

will it be released at a later date.

This region in question is Japan, where a localized version is noticeably lacking from

any pre-release info, there are no pre-orders available on any services and Steam already

has Japan geo-blocked from purchasing it, a restriction that no other country around

the world has.

All Japanese language sites are instructing Japanese fans to purchase the overseas version

when it releases in a few months time.

And this is something that Japanese gamers will likely be well used to, as no Mortal

Kombat games have been officially released in the region in many years.

Mortal Kombat X, for instance, was also completely absent in Japan.

And this isn't due to lack of people interested.

The series does still receive quite a lot of Japanese media coverage and checking sites

like the Japanese version of Amazon, you'll see that Japanese players will import the

Western versions.

Searching for the games on YouTube in Japanese will also result in many videos uploaded by

Japanese gamers, with some having millions of views.

It turns out however that even if the publishers wanted to release the games in Japan, this

wouldn't be possible due to the rules of Japan's age rating system CERO and the game's graphic,

over the top violence.

As the channel as covered numerous times in the past, the Japanese rating system has various

rules in place, where even if a game gets the max rating, there are still certain levels

of violence that are forbidden from being shown.

Human decapitations are commonly caught up under this and so are the depiction of things

like human internal organs.

There's no real cultural reason for this, however, and you can find many graphic scenes

of violence in things like Japanese manga, anime and movies.

Back when the Japanese video game rating system was created in 2002 however, there was actually

a growing controversy in Japan over violent games being responsible for some occurrences

of real life violence that had been occurring in the country around the time and thus these

are just the rules that were decided by the organisation back in 2002 that are still in

effect today.

It goes without saying that Mortal Kombat has violence as one of its most central themes

and so, due to these rules, the game would have to be entirely changed for the Japanese

market to make a release possible.

Unbeknownst to many, it actually would be possible to release the game in Japan on PC

though.

CERO is actually only responsible for console games in the country and PC gaming is often

left unregulated.

It's also not a requirement from platforms like Steam to have your game rated and thus

an uncensored, unrated release would be possible via PC distribution methods.

It must be felt by the publishers however that the costs and effort involved in making

and releasing a localized Japanese release for just PC and not any consoles would make

it not worth it.

PC however is still used as a big loophole by some publishers to get there games to fans

without the changes required by CERO.

For instance, in some examples where games have had to be censored in Japan on consoles,

the games are then released on PC uncensored and without the changes.

This was seen with Grand Theft Auto 5 for instance, which had scenes of nudity as well

as violence censored in Japan on consoles but not PC.

Quite a few publishers don't do this however and will still release the same censored versions

on PC, despite not needing to.

There isn't really a clear reason for this but it just tends to depend on the specific

publisher in question and their own internal policies on the matter.

Top 10 Scary Magic Tricks That Fooled The World - Duration: 10:45.

Who liked magic?

Well, good - this video is for you - but this video is for anyone who likes having their

mind blown and being a little bit freaked out in the process.

After working on this channel for a few years now, I think that perfectly describes most

of our subscribers.

If Im right, then this is the perfect video for all of you.

Lets see if Im right, my name is Danny Burke and this is the Top 10 Scary Magic Tricks

That Fooled The World

up here - I know its not real magic, but, I mean, even real magic isnt real magic - anyway,

check it out of you want to, right after this video!

Starting off at number 10 we have Buried Alive[a].

On April 5th 1999, David Blaine performed his first ever public stunt - and it was one

to remember.

He was buried underground in a plexiglas coffin that was put under a 3 ton water filled tank

for 7 days and 7 nights while surviving on nothing but liquids.

It took place at Trump Place in New York.

All Blaine had in the foon was 6 inches of headroom and two inches of room on either

side.

Over the course of the 7 days, 75,000 people came to watch.

Even Marie Blood, the niece of Harry Houdini came to visit.

Thats a huge honour considering Houdini is considered the greatest escape artist.

Nobody understood how he did it.

Generally speaking, a human can go weeks without food but less than a week without water.

Was he just able to hold out?

Perhaps.

Some people have suggested oxegyn and water being fed into the box.

Then theres the whole issue of urine.

Whatever he did - it fooled everyone …

Moving on to number 9 we have Cyrils Head[b].

Cyril Takayama is an American Musician who used to busk on the streets of Tokyo, using

magic tricks to earn money.

He became very famous in Japan and then famous globally when his tricks were shared online.

One of those tricks was him removing his own head.

Take a look.

There are many theories about how Cyril did this incredible trick - some people may have

it right - but for the most part, everyone was totally baffled.

Coming in at the number 8 spot we have Flying[c].

For those of you that don't know, David Copperfield is an American magician, often described as

the most commercially successful magician in history.

You might think, OK, but that doesn't necessarily mean his tricks are insane - but youd be wrong

- he's definitely baffled the world.

One of his most famous times doing this was his flying trick - check it out.

TELL ED SHOW RINGS BIT.

It still impresses me, even to this day.

David has been performing this trick since 1992.

In that time, some people claim to have figured it out but many people are more than content

to just sit back and enjoy the show …

Next up at number 7 we have Russian Roulette[d].

Derren Brown is one of my favourite magicians and illusionists of all time - Ive actually

been to see him live 3 times - Im a fan.

Perhaps his most famous stunts was his Russian Roulette trick.

In a secret location, a member of the public chosen from a UK wide search, was told to

load a revolver with a real bullet.

Derren then took the gun and played Russian Roulette on live television.

If you don't know what that is, its a lethal game of chance in which a person places a

single bullet in a revolver, spins the cylinder, places it against their head and pulls the

trigger - if the bullet was in the chamber, they die.

Sound terrifying?

Well thats exactly what Derren did on live TV in the UK.

When he felt that the chamber had reached the one with the bullet in, he was to fire

it at a sandbag.

I remember watching this as a kid and I had to watch from behind the sofa.

Terrifying stuff.

Coming in at number 6 now we have The Vanishing Statue[e].

In one of David Copperfields specials from the 80s - he did something that sounds so

ridiculous - youd have to see it to believe it - he made the statue of liberty disappear.

Yes - as in the famous New York landmark.

They constructed two scaffolding towers on liberty island in front of the statue and

had a helicopter to give an aerial view of the statue.

The live audience on liberty island was seated 200ft in front of the statue.

A curtain was to be raised to hide the statue from view.

It sounded crazy - but then this happened.

CLIP.

If you go out there online you can find peoples theories on how he did this - and you better

hope theyre right - because I don't wanna live in a world where a guy can vanish buildings

at will …

Moving on to the number 5 spot we have The Bullet Catch[f].

This is a trick thats been done for a long time.

It usually involves a magician attempting to catch a bullet in their mouth.

For many people, the most famous example of this was done by legendary magic duo Penn

and Teller.

They got members of the audience to sign a pair of bullets.

They then loaded them into two magnum guns equipped with laser sights - and you could

cut the tension with a knife … ED 4:25.

At the end of the day, this, like so much else weve talked about, is a trick - many

people have theories on how its done - but heres the scary part - magicians HAVE died

in the past attempting this trick which makes it seem a lot more impressive when its pulled

off ...

Moving on to number 4 now we have Switching Bodies[g].

This was a bizarre trick by Criss Angel in which ripped apart two strangers bodies and

put them back together - but the wrong way around.

With the help of some people in a park, he pulled pulled the people apart by their ankles

and wrists.

He then picked up their top halves and swapped them over.

Take a look at this clip - its quite a lot to stomach, even if you have figured out how

its done ...

At the number 3 spot now we have Drowned Alive[h].

Thats the name of David Blaines 2006 special in which he was submerged in an 8 foot diameter

water filled sphere in front of the Lincoln Center in New York City for 7 days and 7 nights.

During that time, he used tubes for air and nutrition.

Doctors became concerned when David Started showing signs of liver and kidney damage.

He decided to conclude the stunt by attempting to break the world record of holding your

breath underwater which stood at 8 minutes and 58 seconds.

The crowd couldn't believe what they were seeing.

CLIP.

He didnt manage to break the record, but he still amazed the world.

That last minute was equally disturbing and impressive to see …

Moving on to number 2 we have The Frog Trick[i].

In 2016, David Blaine started performing a trick that has become something of a signature

for him.

One of the most famous examples was done for Drake, Steph Curry and Dave Chappelle and

their friends.

David Blaine asked Drake to think of a small creature that could fit in the palm of his

hand.

Dave Chappelle was then asked to guess it and draw a picture of it.

He chose to draw a frog.

Thats when things started getting weird.

CLIP.

Since then, David has been performing the trick all over - even producing frogs from

his stomach on the Tonight Show - and the reactions are usually the same: shock, horror

and disgust …

And finally at number 1 we have Death Saw[j].

This is probably the most famous magic trick ever done by David Copperfield in which he

sawed himself in half in front of a live audience of thousands of people.

David was strapped face down onto a board.

Then, a huge circular blade is slowly brought down towards his body.

At first, it looks like a classic escape trick - he has to get free of the shackles before

he's cut in half by the blade.

Then, it seems as if something goes wrong and he is sliced in half.

His two halves are then pulled apart.

At one point, a sceptical audience member even tells him to move his feet, and David

obliges.

CLIP 4:20.

If that wasnt enough, David then reverses time and puts himself back together again.

Truly one of the most shocking and impressive tricks ever performed on TV …

My friends said it was true and if you see them go tell a teacher that something is in

the bathroom then it should disappear.....

I never saw it .... My friends told me only people who went to kindergarten in the district

would see it....

I actually joined the district in 2nd grade- … wow, a ghost kid appearing in a mirror

asking for help to escape a fire - yeah, you win the creepiest story in the comments section.

I like it though - it makes me think that we really should just do a video based on

scary stories from you guys.

How to Make This The Year You FINALLY Get A Happier Teen {SO EASY!} - Duration: 7:14.

useful strategies that you can start using today

to get to where you wanna be,

So today is all about how to make this the year

that you finally get a happier teen.

I'm going to be sharing three,

yep, that's one, two, three different ways

that you can start finally getting a happier teen this year

and make sure you stick all the way to the end

because I'll be sharing a bonus technique as well

but before we get started, if you're new here,

don't skip this part.

This is just my little mini disclaimer to let you know

in the state of Connecticut, this information right here

is only being provided to you for educational

based on your own judgment.

Alright, so let's get into it.

Strategy number one, stop talking and start listening.

One of the magical things that happens in counseling

and therapy is that this is the space

where you can freely share

all the stuff that's coming at you

and floating around in your head

and as teenagers, our teens need that time and space as well

so it's totally normal as a helper or a parent

or even a friend.

You just wanna jump in there and help them feel better

and like hey, I know what to do, have you tried this

but most of the time they don't need that.

They've probably already thought of it

and they're just needing to sort it out

and some of us are verbal processors especially teenagers

so being able to just sit back and listen and let them talk

is probably one of the best things that you can do.

It will help them learn to rely on their own intuition

and gut and help you be able to look for

and listen for key nuggets that they may not drop in

unless you stop talking and start listening

a little bit more.

Number two, let them know they're not crazy.

We all have all sorts of complicated thoughts,

negative thinking.

I mean, the way we talk to ourselves is ridiculous.

I would never talk to a friend

the way that I talk to myself sometimes in my head

and with all these thoughts and feelings

and hormones coming at you when you're a teenager,

you just wanna know that you're normal,

that you're not crazy for feeling this way.

Even if you think it's ridiculous to get upset

because that girl Chelsea thinks that green pencils

aren't cool anymore, it's important to your teen.

So if you just hang back

and let them say what they need to do

and be like, you know what, it makes sense

that it's important that Chelsea

thinks that your green pencil is cool

and it makes sense that you'd get upset that she doesn't.

That's it, just validate them.

Let them know that they're not crazy.

Alright.

Strategy number three, practice what you preach.

We've all heard of monkey see, monkey do.

This holds true for teenagers too.

Think about when they're toddlers

and you'd be talking on the phone in the next room.

You really think they're not paying attention

and then like five minutes later,

they're repeating your conversation verbatim.

Teenagers do the same thing.

They're always on the lookout to see can you be trusted

to say what you mean and mean what you say?

So if you're talking about

have some fun, don't stress out,

don't make it all about schoolwork

for your stressed out teenager,

make sure that you're doing the same thing too.

So you can't expect to be a workaholic

and expect your teenager not to follow suit.

So if you're telling them to have more fun,

make sure that you are too.

Alright, before we get into the bonus,

Alright, here's the bonus.

If you do these three strategies around their friends,

it will magnify the results 'cause here's the thing.

As much as teenagers are looking

to the adults in their lives to practice what they preach,

it's what their friends think and say

that's really gonna make the impact.

So if you are listening more and not talking as much,

if you are letting them know that they're not crazy

for having their feelings

and experiencing what they wanna experience

and if you practice what you preach

all around their friends,

their friends are gonna pay attention and listen to that too

and then when Susie Q is out and about in the world

and venting to their friends,

their friends are gonna be like, hey,

have you tried such and such?

They may not give you credit.

They probably won't but they're paying attention

and they're taking that information in

and so if their friends say the same thing,

they're gonna listen that much more

and that is the magic of group therapy.

This is why I love running groups

because I could say these things,

you could say these things,

other people could be saying these things

but until another teenager says the same thing,

it sometimes doesn't land the same way.

News on the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 is now rapidly appearing as we get closer and closer

to its April 23rd worldwide release date.

However, there's one region in the world where the title won't be releasing April 23rd - nor

will it be released at a later date.

This region in question is Japan, where a localized version is noticeably lacking from

any pre-release info, there are no pre-orders available on any services and Steam already

has Japan geo-blocked from purchasing it, a restriction that no other country around

the world has.

All Japanese language sites are instructing Japanese fans to purchase the overseas version

when it releases in a few months time.

And this is something that Japanese gamers will likely be well used to, as no Mortal

Kombat games have been officially released in the region in many years.

Mortal Kombat X, for instance, was also completely absent in Japan.

And this isn't due to lack of people interested.

The series does still receive quite a lot of Japanese media coverage and checking sites

like the Japanese version of Amazon, you'll see that Japanese players will import the

Western versions.

Searching for the games on YouTube in Japanese will also result in many videos uploaded by

Japanese gamers, with some having millions of views.

It turns out however that even if the publishers wanted to release the games in Japan, this

wouldn't be possible due to the rules of Japan's age rating system CERO and the game's graphic,

over the top violence.

As the channel as covered numerous times in the past, the Japanese rating system has various

rules in place, where even if a game gets the max rating, there are still certain levels

of violence that are forbidden from being shown.

Human decapitations are commonly caught up under this and so are the depiction of things

like human internal organs.

There's no real cultural reason for this, however, and you can find many graphic scenes

of violence in things like Japanese manga, anime and movies.

Back when the Japanese video game rating system was created in 2002 however, there was actually

a growing controversy in Japan over violent games being responsible for some occurrences

of real life violence that had been occurring in the country around the time and thus these

are just the rules that were decided by the organisation back in 2002 that are still in

effect today.

It goes without saying that Mortal Kombat has violence as one of its most central themes

and so, due to these rules, the game would have to be entirely changed for the Japanese

market to make a release possible.

Unbeknownst to many, it actually would be possible to release the game in Japan on PC

though.

CERO is actually only responsible for console games in the country and PC gaming is often

left unregulated.

It's also not a requirement from platforms like Steam to have your game rated and thus

an uncensored, unrated release would be possible via PC distribution methods.

It must be felt by the publishers however that the costs and effort involved in making

and releasing a localized Japanese release for just PC and not any consoles would make

it not worth it.

PC however is still used as a big loophole by some publishers to get there games to fans

without the changes required by CERO.

For instance, in some examples where games have had to be censored in Japan on consoles,

the games are then released on PC uncensored and without the changes.

This was seen with Grand Theft Auto 5 for instance, which had scenes of nudity as well

as violence censored in Japan on consoles but not PC.

Quite a few publishers don't do this however and will still release the same censored versions

on PC, despite not needing to.

There isn't really a clear reason for this but it just tends to depend on the specific

publisher in question and their own internal policies on the matter.

Tattoos for me, one of the reasons I started to get them is because when I was in prison,

when you go to prison they completely strip you of an identity.

You don't even have a name anymore.

You're given a number.

My number was SK931.

That means I was the 931st person sentenced to death in Arkansas.

To the state of Arkansas I was not Damien Echols.

I was inmate SK931.

They take your clothes, they take your name.

There were even times when I was shackled to a chair and had my head shaved against

my will just to make you look like every other prisoner in the prison.

They don't want any form of identity, any form of humanity.

So I learned that pretty much everything can be stripped away from you except your skin.

That was why I started tattooing things that were meaningful to me, bonds I shared with

other people, friends, anyone from Johnny Depp and Peter Jackson.

We got tattooed together to just people that were friends of mine in the tattoo shop.

It's like if you have a photograph you can lose that photograph.

It can be torn up.

It can be disintegrated through time.

But whenever you carry something on your body it's almost like you have a suit of armor

made out of the things that are meaningful to you.

So a lot of the things I have on me were not only things that I shared with friends like

representative of bonds that I had with other people but I started to also use talismans,

sigils.

What talismans are we were talking about thought forms a while ago.

Well some things are really hard to visualize.

If you want to put energy into manifesting something say, for example, happiness.

So you don't know what will make you happy.

You just know that you're not happy at this particular time in your life.

You're not happy with your job but you don't know what job would make you happy.

You're not happy in your relationship and you don't know exactly what sort of relationship

you want to be in that would bring happiness.

You can use a talisman or a sigil to take a concept like happiness and break it down

into a symbolic form that will bypass the conscious mind and can be fired directly into

the subconscious because it just looks like a squiggly line for the most part.

It looks like an alphabet that your conscious mind doesn't read.

So it bypasses all of the thought processes, goes deep into your unconscious psyche and

can then work in whatever way it works down there.

I don't know how some of this stuff works.

I just know it does work.

If you break it down into just a symbol and then put the energy, put the chi into that

symbol you can manifest something that you may not necessarily be able to picture like

happiness or protection or love.

I even have one of my favorite ones is probably the one on the side of my neck and what it

is is a talisman that represents New York City because to me this is home.

His is the second I landed here, the second I stepped off the plane I knew this was the

place I wanted to live and this was the place I wanted to die.

I want to be buried here.

So and like I said earlier if you react to something, if you interact with something

as if there's an intelligence behind it, it will react to you in the same way.

So you can do the same thing with not only concepts but places.

We think of for some reason people have come to think of natural places or wooded areas

or deserts or whatever as being somehow more sacred or more holy than urban environments.

And that's not true at all.

Everything is made out of the same divine substance.

So either everything and every place is sacred or none of them are.

For me I choose to approach life as if they all are.

So if you interact with New York City as if there's an intelligence behind it the same

way the Romans did, the same way the Greeks did then it will behave towards you the same

way.

So I will do things like some people in different traditions like say Native American shamanism

will interact with spirits of animals.

For me it's more along the lines of spirits of particular trains.

You burn blue candles to communicate and link yourself to the spirit of the C train or the

A train then it will respond to you as if there's an intelligence behind it.

So the tattoo on my neck what I wanted to do was sort of enshrine New York City, the

spirit of this place.

Sort of ask for its blessing, as for its favor as I go about day to day life here.

Top 10 Scary Magic Tricks That Fooled The World - Duration: 10:45.

Who liked magic?

Well, good - this video is for you - but this video is for anyone who likes having their

mind blown and being a little bit freaked out in the process.

After working on this channel for a few years now, I think that perfectly describes most

of our subscribers.

That Fooled The World

Starting off at number 10 we have Buried Alive[a].

On April 5th 1999, David Blaine performed his first ever public stunt - and it was one

to remember.

He was buried underground in a plexiglas coffin that was put under a 3 ton water filled tank

for 7 days and 7 nights while surviving on nothing but liquids.

It took place at Trump Place in New York.

All Blaine had in the foon was 6 inches of headroom and two inches of room on either

side.

Over the course of the 7 days, 75,000 people came to watch.

Even Marie Blood, the niece of Harry Houdini came to visit.

Thats a huge honour considering Houdini is considered the greatest escape artist.

Nobody understood how he did it.

Generally speaking, a human can go weeks without food but less than a week without water.

Was he just able to hold out?

Perhaps.

Some people have suggested oxegyn and water being fed into the box.

Then theres the whole issue of urine.

Whatever he did - it fooled everyone …

Moving on to number 9 we have Cyrils Head[b].

Cyril Takayama is an American Musician who used to busk on the streets of Tokyo, using

magic tricks to earn money.

He became very famous in Japan and then famous globally when his tricks were shared online.

One of those tricks was him removing his own head.

Take a look.

There are many theories about how Cyril did this incredible trick - some people may have

it right - but for the most part, everyone was totally baffled.

Coming in at the number 8 spot we have Flying[c].

For those of you that don't know, David Copperfield is an American magician, often described as

the most commercially successful magician in history.

You might think, OK, but that doesn't necessarily mean his tricks are insane - but youd be wrong

- he's definitely baffled the world.

One of his most famous times doing this was his flying trick - check it out.

TELL ED SHOW RINGS BIT.

It still impresses me, even to this day.

David has been performing this trick since 1992.

In that time, some people claim to have figured it out but many people are more than content

to just sit back and enjoy the show …

Next up at number 7 we have Russian Roulette[d].

Derren Brown is one of my favourite magicians and illusionists of all time - Ive actually

been to see him live 3 times - Im a fan.

Perhaps his most famous stunts was his Russian Roulette trick.

In a secret location, a member of the public chosen from a UK wide search, was told to

load a revolver with a real bullet.

Derren then took the gun and played Russian Roulette on live television.

If you don't know what that is, its a lethal game of chance in which a person places a

single bullet in a revolver, spins the cylinder, places it against their head and pulls the

trigger - if the bullet was in the chamber, they die.

Sound terrifying?

Well thats exactly what Derren did on live TV in the UK.

When he felt that the chamber had reached the one with the bullet in, he was to fire

it at a sandbag.

I remember watching this as a kid and I had to watch from behind the sofa.

Terrifying stuff.

Coming in at number 6 now we have The Vanishing Statue[e].

In one of David Copperfields specials from the 80s - he did something that sounds so

ridiculous - youd have to see it to believe it - he made the statue of liberty disappear.

Yes - as in the famous New York landmark.

They constructed two scaffolding towers on liberty island in front of the statue and

had a helicopter to give an aerial view of the statue.

The live audience on liberty island was seated 200ft in front of the statue.

A curtain was to be raised to hide the statue from view.

It sounded crazy - but then this happened.

CLIP.

If you go out there online you can find peoples theories on how he did this - and you better

hope theyre right - because I don't wanna live in a world where a guy can vanish buildings

at will …

Moving on to the number 5 spot we have The Bullet Catch[f].

This is a trick thats been done for a long time.

It usually involves a magician attempting to catch a bullet in their mouth.

For many people, the most famous example of this was done by legendary magic duo Penn

and Teller.

They got members of the audience to sign a pair of bullets.

They then loaded them into two magnum guns equipped with laser sights - and you could

cut the tension with a knife … ED 4:25.

At the end of the day, this, like so much else weve talked about, is a trick - many

people have theories on how its done - but heres the scary part - magicians HAVE died

in the past attempting this trick which makes it seem a lot more impressive when its pulled

off ...

Moving on to number 4 now we have Switching Bodies[g].

This was a bizarre trick by Criss Angel in which ripped apart two strangers bodies and

put them back together - but the wrong way around.

With the help of some people in a park, he pulled pulled the people apart by their ankles

and wrists.

He then picked up their top halves and swapped them over.

Take a look at this clip - its quite a lot to stomach, even if you have figured out how

At the number 3 spot now we have Drowned Alive[h].

Thats the name of David Blaines 2006 special in which he was submerged in an 8 foot diameter

water filled sphere in front of the Lincoln Center in New York City for 7 days and 7 nights.

During that time, he used tubes for air and nutrition.

Doctors became concerned when David Started showing signs of liver and kidney damage.

He decided to conclude the stunt by attempting to break the world record of holding your

breath underwater which stood at 8 minutes and 58 seconds.

The crowd couldn't believe what they were seeing.

CLIP.

He didnt manage to break the record, but he still amazed the world.

That last minute was equally disturbing and impressive to see …

Moving on to number 2 we have The Frog Trick[i].

In 2016, David Blaine started performing a trick that has become something of a signature

for him.

One of the most famous examples was done for Drake, Steph Curry and Dave Chappelle and

their friends.

David Blaine asked Drake to think of a small creature that could fit in the palm of his

hand.

Dave Chappelle was then asked to guess it and draw a picture of it.

He chose to draw a frog.

Thats when things started getting weird.

Since then, David has been performing the trick all over - even producing frogs from

his stomach on the Tonight Show - and the reactions are usually the same: shock, horror

and disgust …

And finally at number 1 we have Death Saw[j].

This is probably the most famous magic trick ever done by David Copperfield in which he

sawed himself in half in front of a live audience of thousands of people.

David was strapped face down onto a board.

Then, a huge circular blade is slowly brought down towards his body.

At first, it looks like a classic escape trick - he has to get free of the shackles before

he's cut in half by the blade.

Then, it seems as if something goes wrong and he is sliced in half.

His two halves are then pulled apart.

At one point, a sceptical audience member even tells him to move his feet, and David

obliges.

If that wasnt enough, David then reverses time and puts himself back together again.

Truly one of the most shocking and impressive tricks ever performed on TV …

My friends said it was true and if you see them go tell a teacher that something is in

the bathroom then it should disappear.....

I never saw it .... My friends told me only people who went to kindergarten in the district

would see it....

I actually joined the district in 2nd grade- … wow, a ghost kid appearing in a mirror

asking for help to escape a fire - yeah, you win the creepiest story in the comments section.

I like it though - it makes me think that we really should just do a video based on

scary stories from you guys.

hello guys welcome back it is Sunday I am vlogging on a Sunday it's super weird

because I normally don't do this Sunday's like my pamper routine day so

I'm actually gonna be washing my hair soon I'm doing a math taking care of my

blackheads I'd love to do that too I'm actually going to show you guys a brand

new shampoo and conditioner I've actually used before but it's brand new

because I just bought it right I just never rebaudioside it at winners for

such an amazing price someone actually gifted it to me and

then it's funny because when my sister Jessica used to live here she washed her

hair with it and she's like okay what's that shampoo and conditioner I was like

girl you're not supposed to use my shampoo and conditioner don't be using

my expensive shampoo conditioner because stuff is not going to be buying that

again like I'm not we're also gonna be cooking a delicious meal you guys see

inside of the thumbnail it's a Thai curry chicken dish we're gonna make it

for lunch I'm so super excited but I'm gonna show you guys a bunch of new stuff

that I recently just bought that I have to show you guys because guys we're

always playing huge Styles like we just okay so this is our conditioner in our

shampoo caviar anti-aging infinite color world conditioner and then I got caviar

anti-aging replenishing moisture shampoo so I got one of each they actually had

the matching one to each of them but I kind of wanted the conditioner to have a

color hold inside of it because that's where it kind of bleached my hair and

everything I don't really die the top of my hair and over here with the shampoo I

wanted it to be moisturizing because I find that shampoo actually does dry all

my hair a lot and then if you see at the bottom here free of parabens sulfates

and synthetic color which is so important that's why this thing makes

your hair feel so good I'm gonna open it for you guys so you can see what it

looks like it's just white on the inside there's no color and it smells so ups oh

God oh sorry about that let's just stick that back in there yeah that's right

believe me we don't want to waste any problems over here guys watch yourself

for each of these it was $39.99 these are normally so expensive if you get so

the bottles normally this skinny and only this tall and it's like I believe

it's like $30 each and it cost you like $60 in total so in total both of these

were $80 $40 each and to be honest with you

for a shampooing conditioner that does this well for your

hair and that's free of all the harsh things for your hair it's actually

pretty affordable to be honest with you I like getting the ones with the pump as

well I find that there's smaller bottles their nozzle you have to turn it and you

have to really squeeze I kind of find it a little bit hard I didn't really like

them but I love the product so it was so hard but then me and my sisters saw

these at winners then we're like oh my god just gonna absolutely loves this

shampoo conditioner like raves about it too so I'm so excited to be washing my

hair with these but I definitely recommend that you guys tried these out

if you're looking for a brand new shampoo or if you guys color hair very

often if it's damaged you guys will notice that this will change your hair

in one wash this sweater over here that I got from forever 21 because Amy gave

me a gift card for Christmas I got this from them it is so pretty it's like this

cardigan I talked to be honest with you has this deep v-neck I got it in a size

small and I got it in a size small and it's nice for the springtime when you

don't want to go out in a coat or a jacket even like kind of spring/summer

where it's a little bit chilly has a really deep v-neck but I just absolutely

love it you guys I don't have anything like this I'm gonna do a look with this

where I do jeans a black heel and then this on the top oh my god I'm so excited

it's very like casual and lofty sort of feel but still very feminine because of

the v-neck and I will leave a link down below to this exact one or similar ones

that I can find okay then over here you guys I'm so excited about this one

because I got it from H&M and it goes off the shoulder

this one was 30 4.99 and I got it in an extra small it's the most beautiful

beautiful like creamy stony beige color you guys can see in comparison to my

counter which is like a fresh fresh white but I saw it on the mannequin and

I'm like oh my god that's just so feminine soft and pretty and it's just

screaming my name this would also look so cute in the

springtime with a pair of wedges oh my god a pair of light jeans and of course

with my gold necklace from German go like hello I will leave a link below to

that you guys can also check out too okay these I have to show you guys I

just recently went to winners when I got my travel bag that I'm gonna show you

guys next and then I found also these kind of timberland looking shoes but

it's definitely a more feminine look to the timberlands because I would never

wear those they're just a bit too masculine for me you guys are in the

most perfect like sand color I posted a photo of me wearing them at home 'sons

and I was like sitting on a fur chair and I had my fur coat on actually this

faux fur coat that I have over here from Topshop which by the way I got for $75

instead of 150 you guys I saw the price tag and I actually had like a gift card

with them and I'm like you know what I'm gonna get it forget it like I'm just

gonna get it this is a piece that I'm going to use year after year I guess to

the cache and he's like it's for 75 now I'm like we're like what I've been

looking for this jacket for the longest time I've been seeing everybody wearing

it on Instagram and I'm like where is this jacket in Canada I can't find it

so you guys I got it for $75 this one is a size mus six it's just the most

beautiful beautiful cream faux fur coats US size six and I will leave a link down

below for you guys make sure you guys pick this up for next winter because you

will definitely not regret it but anyways back to my little feminine

timberlands over here so these ones I found for $49.99 not a bad price at all

I've never seen anything so cute like this in my life and it comes with a

zipper so you don't always have to kind of do up the laces so I kind of just

double knotted it so it doesn't come out so you have the zipper on the side super

convenient it's plain on the side like you guys this is such a cute shoe I'm

gonna see if I can find you guys some similars I don't think I can find the

exact one I consider myself the link Queen so you know why I'm going to try

to find as a similar for you guys and these are perfect for the springtime

when it's like raining a lot so I'm gonna be using sneakers and I'm also

gonna be using these so this is one of my favorite like recent purchases when I

was out winners with my friend I found this travel bag I've actually

been looking for a really small travel bag if I go to New York let's say for

like another two days I really don't feel like I need that big luggage that

I've been bringing if I'm going somewhere like if I'm sleeping over

Ami's this is absolutely perfect because to be honest it's getting quite

expensive to take your own luggage with you they're charging like $60 now so

this one was $59.99 a really nice Bay like this to be honest with you is like

$100 and over so I was really press with the price this one is by

Madison West Los Angeles travel collection so it's in this very gorgeous

like black croc skin so if you unzip the first front area over here this is where

I would keep like all my facial stuff all my beauty products anything that I

need to kind of pack that's a little bit more slender I would put all those

products in the front here then this other pocket so you have this front one

and then you have one over here and then you have the main one that you pack like

all of your clothes in this one I just realized what this is perfect for so

guys if I grab my laptop and my put it inside of here it's absolutely perfect

and I'll put my charger on the side I can take all my text up with me so this

is very like business savvy to which I absolutely love if I don't bring my

laptop or anything this is great for like sandals and flip-flops all your

shoes in one kind of compartment and then over here this is like the main

area where you kind of pack all of your clothes of course and I love how it kind

of zips really nice and low over there as well

so it kind of opened like this and you have this whole entire area for you to

pack all of your clothes plus it has a back zipper which is really important I

find it put a lot of like tiny things inside of my luggage and I don't know

where to put it and luggages don't come with this that's but not least but the

most important part of this that made me say you know what that said I'm getting

this it has this little zipper at the bottom this little hidden sort of

trolley that you can kind of take out and roll it out I'm gonna put on the

floor so I can show you guys like look how cute it is you guys it looks so

adorable so over here it has this little zipper this little hidden trolley at the

bottom that you can close and zip up but what happens is you pull this out and

voila you have it on wheels like guys this is absolutely perfect or you guys

can also bring it down like that and kind of put it on the floor like this

and be like boom Airport photo what what what now I'll also try to find a few

links to something that's similar I might not be able to find the exact one

but if I find some similars for you guys I definitely would recommend something

like this while you guys are traveling just for like a weekend or something

like that and another thing I love is that you guys can put this in the

overhead bin inside the plane and you don't have to check it

in as luggage okay by the way you guys you have to download this song over here

it is called one love and it's a Zumba song that I found on Instagram oh my god

it is so good just have to show you guys that song because they just might go too

right now when I want to feel good feeling a really good mood

salsa definitely helps you do that I got on does that for me too so make sure you

guys check out that song mama you look great but there's just one thing um

might mic word go in your spot he knows what that means but he's just being you

know the belly that he is no go in your spot that's right yeah you look quite

comfortable mama everybody is still so confused why I

and we're gonna be making a Thai curry chicken dish oh my god I had this dish

in Toronto and ever since then I've just been like non-stop thinking about it

we're gonna be using some jasmine rice and already pre-washed over here we're

just going to dump or rice inside of here I do my rice by eye so I can't

really say how much I'm really putting inside of here and then the end it

always ends up working out but then when I played up my meal of course I measure

how much I'm putting inside my plate and generally my serving is 1 cup of rice

which is about 200 calories and I kind of just go by I with my water as

well we're gonna stir it up and put it on cook I just got this black & decker

white one not so long ago Oh funny enough I think this is the right amount

of water just a little bit of olive oil I kind of like to use my spray you don't

always have to put it from the bottle a little bit of salt just to kind of give

it a little bit of flavor so that's basically done and we're just going to

close it up now and let it cook I've never made this before what I do is I

kind of just find new dishes that I love when I go out and stuff like that or

things that I've seen on Pinterest and of course as you guys know I like to

make my super healthy low-calorie versions of these recipes you use this

all the time as Portuguese oh my god and every single thing that we do this one

is pimento paste I'm just gonna put a tiny bit I just want to see a little bit

of those red pepper bits coming through inside of the recipe of course we're

gonna be using some curry powder you guys can grab any curry powder of course

we're gonna use some of our olive oil that's the one I love to use and then we

have some coconut milk you guys I've never used coconut milk to do anything I

think it just looks so cute so I got the light coconut milk this is more calorie

friendly instead of getting the original one this is 60%

fewer calories than the other original ones this is only 40 calories per a

quarter cup so in this entire can I actually calculated it it's 264 calories

so make sure you guys go for the light ones so that you guys are not consuming

too many calories just in your coconut milk because it is a big part of this

meal I'm gonna use a little bit of my liquid soy seasoning we have chopped

onion I like to chop it into bigger bits like this because I like to see inside

of this dish we're gonna put some broccoli and set it here we have orange

and yellow sweet peppers we have a ton of spinach over here because this is

going to shrink to like half or a quarter of this bowl and then we have a

ton of cilantro you guys I'm so excited for all these veggies and then of course

we have some chicken breast strips so it came in strips and I kind of just cut

them with my kitchen scissors so you're gonna put about a tablespoon or a

teaspoon of olive oil we're gonna put in our onions put in our peppers broccoli

and we're gonna kind of cook down all of these veggies I'm gonna add just a

little bit of water inside in here just to let these can

a little bit I'm gonna close this up and wait until these veggies kind of get a

little bit cooked all right I'm gonna want to add in all of our spinach I

really want this to kind of shrink down so I'm gonna close that up a little bit

longer to let the spinach kind of steam down in the meantime I'm going to show

you how perfect our rice turned out look at our jasmine rice oh and by the way

this is nonstick so this pan is absolutely amazing there's nothing stuck

there on the bottom the right amount of water I love just kind of doing it by

eye but my general rule for you guys with rice I like to play double water of

the rice that you're putting so if you put one cup of rice I like to put two

cups of water and we're going to add in our chicken because we want to get this

kind of cooking down I'm gonna add a little bit of garlic powder inside of

here this dish is supposed to not obviously be very very curry but have a

little bit of sweetness and creaminess from the coconut milk as well I've been

thinking about this for such a long time and just the other night I'm like why

don't you make a recipe on your channel since you love it so much a little bit

of our soy sauce of course we haven't added any sort of salt inside of here

you guys then we're gonna put a little bit of our pimento paste I'm just gonna

put about this much I would say about a tablespoon you know what maybe just a

little bit more because it was going to be it's gonna give a lot so it's

tablespoon and a half of this kind of just add as much curry powder as you

want you to be on whew I like to do everything by eye so I would say this is

about four tablespoons especially because we're doing about four to five

sort of meals now we're gonna add in the entire kind of can of our coconut milk

this is so good I've never cooked with coconut milk but this is super exciting

you guys I add a little bit of water inside of here stir all of this up again

I have this on low right now okay the yellow color is coming through

oh you guys how does that look it looks so good this looks just like the one

that I had except I can tell that they use the more thicker creamier coconut

milk and even have coconut cream watch yourself like be careful without coconut

cream you guys before I forget for that

intense kind of color we're gonna add some tumeric inside of your as well and

of course tumeric is just really really good for you too and I'll close this up

and kind of cook it down and then reveal what it looks like look how beautiful

our sauce is I'm gonna need to add a little bit of salt you can either add

the regular salt or you guys can put in a little bit more of the liquid toy or

if you guys have liquid aminos last thing we're gonna do is of course ID in

our cilantro right now cilantro is gonna give it so much flavor too

you guys know how big I am on my cilantro just have our regular plate

over here and I also have a little mini bowl we're gonna use this mini bowl as

like a mold for our rice kind of rotate the bowl and pack it this is gonna make

it keep its shape and jasmine rice is already like really sticky going to flip

this over and drop alright so that is our serving of rice on our plate so

we're gonna put our mix inside of this bowl over here make sure you get some of

that chicken and also all of them veggies and then of course you want to

grab a bunch of that sauce at the bottom okay look at that you guys this is gonna

give me for about like five meals and it's so easy because actually five to

six like look how good this looks you guys it has a ton of veggies inside of

it it's really low calorie you get coconut also inside of there I'm gonna

put the approximate calories over here on this side so that you guys know how

much this meal is have to like the zoom in for you guys I love to put a little

bit of that beautiful curry sauce on top of my rice so this is all meal preps for

me for the rest of the week and I almost forgot you guys you can also sprinkle

some extra fresh cilantro I have the rest that I chopped up inside this

little container over here I'm gonna go and wash my hair and kind of get all

pampered up for my Sunday evening everything that I showed you guys in

this video I will leave a link down below I have left a link up to shampoo

Alright, so let's get into it.

Strategy number one, stop talking and start listening.

One of the magical things that happens in counseling

and therapy is that this is the space

where you can freely share

all the stuff that's coming at you

and floating around in your head

and as teenagers, our teens need that time and space as well

so it's totally normal as a helper or a parent

or even a friend.

You just wanna jump in there and help them feel better

and like hey, I know what to do, have you tried this

but most of the time they don't need that.

They've probably already thought of it

and they're just needing to sort it out

and some of us are verbal processors especially teenagers

so being able to just sit back and listen and let them talk

is probably one of the best things that you can do.

It will help them learn to rely on their own intuition

and gut and help you be able to look for

and listen for key nuggets that they may not drop in

unless you stop talking and start listening

a little bit more.

Number two, let them know they're not crazy.

We all have all sorts of complicated thoughts,

negative thinking.

I mean, the way we talk to ourselves is ridiculous.

I would never talk to a friend

the way that I talk to myself sometimes in my head

and with all these thoughts and feelings

and hormones coming at you when you're a teenager,

you just wanna know that you're normal,

that you're not crazy for feeling this way.

Even if you think it's ridiculous to get upset

because that girl Chelsea thinks that green pencils

aren't cool anymore, it's important to your teen.

So if you just hang back

and let them say what they need to do

and be like, you know what, it makes sense

that it's important that Chelsea

thinks that your green pencil is cool

and it makes sense that you'd get upset that she doesn't.

That's it, just validate them.

Let them know that they're not crazy.

Alright.

Strategy number three, practice what you preach.

We've all heard of monkey see, monkey do.

This holds true for teenagers too.

Think about when they're toddlers

and you'd be talking on the phone in the next room.

You really think they're not paying attention

and then like five minutes later,

they're repeating your conversation verbatim.

Teenagers do the same thing.

They're always on the lookout to see can you be trusted

to say what you mean and mean what you say?

So if you're talking about

have some fun, don't stress out,

don't make it all about schoolwork

for your stressed out teenager,

make sure that you're doing the same thing too.

So you can't expect to be a workaholic

and expect your teenager not to follow suit.

So if you're telling them to have more fun,

make sure that you are too.

it will magnify the results 'cause here's the thing.

As much as teenagers are looking

to the adults in their lives to practice what they preach,

it's what their friends think and say

that's really gonna make the impact.

So if you are listening more and not talking as much,

if you are letting them know that they're not crazy

for having their feelings

and experiencing what they wanna experience

and if you practice what you preach

all around their friends,

their friends are gonna pay attention and listen to that too

and then when Susie Q is out and about in the world

and venting to their friends,

their friends are gonna be like, hey,

have you tried such and such?

They may not give you credit.

They probably won't but they're paying attention

and they're taking that information in

and so if their friends say the same thing,

they're gonna listen that much more

and that is the magic of group therapy.

This is why I love running groups

because I could say these things,

you could say these things,

other people could be saying these things

but until another teenager says the same thing,

it sometimes doesn't land the same way.

 Roberto Firmino has revealed the secret behind Liverpool's astonishing campaign so far as the Reds continue to battle for their first Premier League title

 After scoring 27 goals last season as the Reds reached the Champions League Final, to some it appears he hasn't lived up to the same standards this season

Chris Brown to sue French model for defamation over rape claim - Duration: 13:02.

Chris Brown plans to sue a woman for defamation after she accused him of raping her in a Paris hotel

The American R&B star was released from prison on Tuesday without charge after being held for questioning overnight in Paris following the rape accusations

 The 29-year-old's French lawyer, Raphael Chiche, said Brown vigorously denied the allegations and he is preparing to file the defamation lawsuit on behalf of his client

'Chris Brown is free. No lawsuits were filed against him. He vigorously challenges the charges against him,' Chiche said

 'A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed tomorrow with the public prosecutor of Paris

' A 24-year-old French model, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told police that she was raped by Brown and two other men during a drug-fueled party at his hotel a week ago

The ordeal allegedly happened inside Brown's hotel room at the Mandarin Oriental where suites can cost more than US$21,000 (£19,000) per night

   The woman alleges she was attacked by Brown, his bodyguard and a family friend on January 16

Brown and the two other men were all released from police custody on Tuesday.An examining magistrate decided to end the initial period of custody without taking the matter further but this does not mean that the case is closed, according to French law

 Prosecutors have indicated that they will continue to speak to the alleged victim and to try and gather more evidence

 The Paris prosecutor's office said the investigation is ongoing, while the singer's lawyer said his client 'energetically' proclaimed his innocence

In a post on Instagram following his release, Brown denied the accusation saying it is 'false', 'disrespectful' and 'against my character and morals

'  In an interview with French Closer magazine, the woman said she met Brown 'through a friend' who works at the Crystal Lounge nightclub on the Champs Elysee

'This friend asked me what I was doing the next day, and if I would like to meet Chris Brown,' said the woman, who finally met the rapper on January 15

'I said yes and the next day, on Tuesday, I had an appointment at 11.30pm at the Mandarin Oriental hotel to meet the rapper

At the reception of the hotel, I found myself with friends of his and other girls

We went up to his suite to pick him up and we all went to a nightclub called 'The Quay'

'Everything was going well. Around 4am, they decided to go back to the hotel. I wanted to go home, but someone in Chris Brown's entourage took me by the arm and said: 'Come on, we'll have a good evening

' 'Leaving the nightclub, there were two Mercedes vans that were full up. So I said, 'There's no place, I'm going home

' Then I was told, 'No, come on!'. And I was put in Chris Brown's car with another girl

'The group got back to Brown's rooms at the Mandarin Oriental.The woman told Closer: 'Before entering the suite, the bodyguard took all our cell phones

It didn't seem surprising given the artist's notoriety and I didn't worry. Once in the suite, we were offered drinks

There was cocaine and cannabis.'There were about fifteen girls, friends of Chris Brown

The music was loud, people were coming in and out . It was a bit chaotic.'Asked if prostitutes were present, the woman said: 'I don't know

There were only very pretty girls.' 'At one point, I went to the bathroom. Chris Brown followed me and took me by the right arm

He made me enter a sort of dressing room. He closed the door.'Speaking of the alleged rape, the woman said: 'It lasted 25 to 30 minutes

It's still too difficult for me to explain in detail what he did, but it was brutal and violent

'He was threatening and aggressive. I was very afraid. Once it was over, he opened the door

I told him that I wanted to pick up my cell phone and go home.'Chris Brown went to see one of his friends

I thought this person was going to accompany me to the bodyguard for my cell phone, but that's not what he did

'He took me to his room, he locked the door and he abused me too. It was the same with the bodyguard All I wanted to do was go home

I was too scared. There were three muscular men, aggressive and menacing. I couldn't do anything

I'm traumatized, I can't overcome what happened to me and resume my habits. It's horrible, I'm lost

'Asked how she managed to escape, the woman said: 'I said that I had to go to bed, that I had classes the next day

I cried. When he saw me like that, he returned my cell phone and I left.'The woman reported the alleged attack to police two days later on January 18

 Confirming she had been hesitant, the woman said: 'Yes. I was scared. They have my address, my cell number, my picture

 But I didn't want them to be able to do the same thing to other girls. 'Chris Brown is the kind of person who thinks himself powerful and thinks himself above the law, but no

I'll go to the end. Abused three times in the same evening by three different men – it's unbearable to live with

'The woman said she didn't know if other women claim to have been raped that night

'I don't know,' she said. 'Sometimes girls do not dare to speak. They are scared and I understand them, but I want them to stop doing this to girls who have not asked for anything

'I just thought I was having a good night with a star. I didn't imagine that I was going to find myself locked up with aggressive and menacing men who forced me to do things I did not want to do

' The three men, including Brown, were arrested at the hotel on Monday, and face charged of 'aggravated rape' and 'violation of drugs legislation', including using a 'banned drug'

The initially custody period can last 48 hours, after which an official investigation can be launched, or they can be freed

Referring to Brown, a prosecuting source in Paris said: 'He is accused of a rape and is being held at the judicial police offices in the 1starrondissement

'He was arrested with two others on Monday, and interviews and other inquiries are ongoing

All three men can be held for a period of up to 48 hours.'The musician has been seen in the French capital in recent days attending events in the city's fashion week

 In 2009, Brown was charged with domestic violence in the United States against superstar singer Rihanna, his then girlfriend

He admitted the offences, and was sentenced to community service.Model Liziane Gutierrez also claimed she was punched in the face by the father-of-one, but this never led to court action

Serena Williams into second round of US Open after dominant win - Duration: 2:56.

Serena Williams' comeback to top-tier tennis continued on Monday, with the first day of the US Open

Williams, the 17th seed, took down the unseeded Magda Linette in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0

The match was close to start, with Linette keeping games close and looking good for the most part, but she simply couldn't keep up with Williams in the end

Williams will go on to the second round, where she'll face Carina Witthoeft. Caroline Dolehide was Witthoeft's first-round opponent, but Witthoeft won in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6(6)

Monday's match was the first time Williams Linette, 26, have faced each other. With the first set tied at 3-3, Williams broke Linette on her second try and then held serve (Linette made her work for it, getting to deuce but not to advantage) to go up 5-3 in the match

Linette held, but Williams held serve to take the set. She had three aces, won 73 percent of her first serves and 77 percent of her second serves in the opening set

She also had 13 unforced errors. In the second, Williams hit her stride and it was nearly impossible for Linette, who again was playing some of her best tennis, to keep up

Williams broke her in every attempt and finished the set at 6-0. Williams returned to competitive play earlier this year following the birth of her child, and the health complications that surfaced as a result

She's had a couple poor matches, but by and large has looked good, if a little more inconsistent than she has in the past

She made it to the fourth round of Roland Garros before having to retire from the tournament, but made it to the final of Wimbledon in July, losing to Angelique Kerber

She bested Daria Gavrilova in the first round of the Cincinnati Masters prior to this tournament, losing to the very tough Petra Kvitova in a three-set second-round match

Serena's sister, Venus Williams, made it past her first-round opponent at the US Open on Monday, besting Svetlana Kuznetsova in a hard-fought three-setter, 6-3, 5-7, 6-3

Serena and Venus were drawn into the same portion of the singles draw, and could face each other in the third round

US Open WTA Betting Preview: Analyzing Friday's Early Slate - Duration: 5:02.

Favorites continued to handle business on Thursday sans No. 2 seed Caroline Wozniacki losing in straight sets to Lesia Tsurenko

Today we get two popcorn matchups on Arthur Ashe Stadium: Victoria Azarenka meets Sloane Stephens for the third time in 2018 during the day, while Serena and Venus clash tonight

We'll get to that highly anticipated night match later today, but let's first take a look at a few of the early WTA matches today at the U

If you want to sit back and enjoy a potential three-hour grind fest, this is your match

Considering the heat will be down, these two could go on forever. Both play an ultra-defensive style

Strycova has a little bit more craft to her game, but Mertens is quicker and plays better angles (at least in 2018)

Mertens should be favored, but -220 looks quite high for someone that is not great at finishing off points

I would look hard at the over 21 games, which should hit unless one of them doesn't show up

I expect plenty of live opportunities as well. Despite a disappointing 2018 season, Makarova is rounding into solid form

She's won six of her last eight matches — all against decent competition. Makarova seems to thrive in NYC, having made the round of 16 or better in three of the past five years

Sevastova is also a player that has really taken to the courts in Queens — as she seeks a third straight quarterfinals appearance

However, I've been much more impressed with Makarova's game so far this tourney. The players split two matches this year, though Sevastova's win came on an indoor clay surface in Fed Cup action in her home country

I'm not one to back Makarova often, but she has a real chance to pick up major ranking points this week

I also think she's the better hard court player. Considering her confidence level and 3-0 head-to-head record on outdoor hard courts, Makarova is a solid play as a small underdog

This is turning into one of the better WTA rivalries. While Vika leads the head-to-head, Stephens has won both 2018 meetings, including a comeback victory in the Miami semifinals

Vika has looked solid in New York, as I now believe even more that she was prepping all year for this tourney

Her aggressive play against Daria Gavrilova was a most welcome sight, but this will be a major step up in competition

Meanwhile, Stephens struggled mightily versus qualifier Anhelina Kalinina, hitting only 31 winners to 42 unforced errors

The American was spraying her forehand and backhand and will need to be much sounder to get through Azarenka

This line feels like a bit of an overreaction to each player's last match. Coming into this tournament, I would have expected Stephens to be about a -200 favorite over Azarenka

Stephens tends to struggle in early rounds before gaining momentum and playing flawless tennis later in tourneys

Perhaps she got her poor level out of the way on Wednesday. Regardless, this line is simply too short

After a shaky first round, Svitolina easily moved past a tricky Tatjana Maria. Wang is a much different opponent who will hit flat and try for more winners than Maria

Svitolina does hold the 2-0 H2H advantage, but both matches went the distance. Wang has two top-10 wins in her career — most recently over Venus Williams at Roland Garros (although Venus on clay is hardly an upset nowadays)

She won't be too overwhelmed by the spotlight. Svitolina played very aggressively versus Maria, coming the net 25 times and winning 17 of those points

I don't think she will demonstrate a similar game plan versus the more offensive-minded Wang, but having that in the repertoire does not hurt

I expect Svitolina to get through, but I don't see any betting value for a player that has never gone too far at majors
