If you set the onPressed callback of a RaisedButton to null, for example,

it becomes disabled.

But if you have a complicated subtree of widgets

and just need a simple way to wall them off from touch events,

try AbsorbPointer!

Just put it at the topmost point in the widget subtree you'd like to block,

and even though you can't see it,

it'll keep touch events from getting to all the widgets below.

You can use the absorbing property

Powerful Panel Discussion Tip #182 with Patricia Fripp: How to Answer a Poor Question - Duration: 1:19.

What is your strategy to answering or avoiding poor questions?

Okay, well you can say, "Kristin, what I believe you might be saying is" and you

rephrase it with some clarity, or "Kristin, I expected you would have asked me a tougher

question such as this."

And again, this is part of your preparation in your back pocket.

And very often, of course people don't ask questions, they say "well I think bah bah,

bah, bah, what do you think?" and then I would say "I can understand your point of

view Kristin, however, there is a much bigger question that we don't ask because it's

tough" and then you lead it that way.

So you acknowledge it but you really don't respond to it.

Don't Ever Say These Words On YouTube - Duration: 5:34.

Swearing on youtube is a risky business. And it's a business where the exact rules on

what you can and cannot say without getting demonetized has been pretty unclear. Until

now. On the creator insider channel, youtube has laid out the exact rules on what profanity

you can use on youtube, and I'm going to tell you everything you need to know, right

now on IO. What is happening good people of youtube,

this is IO where we talk about whats happening on the internet, and that includes this platform

we love called youtube. I'm charlotte dobre, smash that subscribe for daily news updates

that are actually relevant to you, and follow us on social media, our handles are posted

in the description. Alright, I'm going to be real with you guys

for a quick second. On this channel, even though you might not realize it because you

don't see our backend, we sometimes have issues with demonitization. It is honestly

the worst. Those yellow dollar signs are the bane of my existence. Sometimes we do a topic

and we know for sure it will result in demontization, but we do it anyway because it might be worth

it for the views. But often times we'll do a topic that we believe is completely advertiser

friendly, and all of a sudden it has a yellow dollar sign next to it and we have no idea

what caused a video to become demonitizied. I'll give you an example, The video that

we did last week, Scary urban legend about the the boogey man turns out to be true, got

demontitied. But another video we did, scary urban legend about the bunny man turns out

to be true, similar topic, almost the same title, didn't get demonitized. ITS LIKE

WHY? When this happens, sometimes you can troubleshoot in the backend. Change certain

words in the title, take out some tags. But 90 percent of the time, the problem is the

thumbnail. Youtubes AI will scan a thumbnail and be like ahhh that's blood, even when

it isn't. Youtube gets it wrong a lot of the time, even when we request a video for

manual review. This is a huge issue for creators of course, We spend a lot of time, and put

a lot of thought into our content. Well, for the first time ever, youtube has

been relatively, though not completely, transparent on what causes a video to become demonitized.

Haaaaaalellulia, hallelulia. According to youtube, there are three main things that

will affect your monetization status. The video's title, the thumbnail image, and

how often profane language is used at the beginning of the video. As in, within the

first 30 seconds. These rules are not set in stone, they might change over time.

So here's some examples of profanity that you can use in a video. You can say those

words as often as you want, throughout your whole video, without worrying about getting

demonitized. Well heck, I'm just going to start saying those words unnecessarily now.

So what about actual swear words. Well the thing is, and this is something that I didn't

know, you can say words like. Occasionally, you can use words like the word without getting

demonitized. But, not repeatedly within the first 30 seconds of the video. You should

also make sure profane words are not included in your thumbnail or your title.

And words you cant say without getting demonitized? Moderate and strong profanity. I mean, im

kinda worried about saying the exact words for obvious reasons. Its honestly up to the

advertiser. Sometimes an advertiser will be okay with profanity, and sometimes they wont.

Its probably just best to stay away from profanity altogether. I know that a lot of school teachers

show IO in their classes as a way to make current events fun, so we usually stay away

from profanity when we can. And lastly. The words that shall not be said.

EVER. You absolutely cant use content directed at an individual or specific group of people.

It should also be noted that bleeping, will not save your . Of course there are certain

situations where it might be okay. Comedy, parodies etcetera. Context is key. But at

the same time, to be safe, its probably better to avoid using this kind of language entirely,

even if it falls in a grey area of context. Alright guys, I hope that was helpful. I'm

going to wrap up this video with some comment replies from our recent blooper reel. If you

haven't seen that, make sure you check it out, its clickable on the screen right now.

Uniqueley evil – LOL for some reason I didn't think id laugh at this but I was dying.

Thedesheanallen – im black, we naturally look serious all the time so this is no sweat.

Mega pelotes – words that mess up charlotte sometimes, anything with a c or an s

Crazy bro – be honest do you have like markers on the floor for where to stand? Cuz you stand

in the center every time. A mark on the floor is called a mark and we actually don't have

a mark on the new set. We stand in the center of the stage because that's where the lighting

is best. The editor can move us to the side if they want.

Emotional – wow charlotte please do more. I didn't now you messed up that often. I

do mess up, just like anybody. I film 3 videos a day sometimes more, and we don't practice

our scripts, we kinda just get up and do it.

I Didn't Buy Fabric For An Entire Year - What's the 2019 Challenge? | SEWING REPORT - Duration: 14:12.

can you go a whole year without buying fabric welcome to the Sewing Report I'm

Jennifer Moore helping you discover your love of sewing crafts and DIY projects

and one year ago I pledged not to buy any fabric for the entire year did I do

it what did I learn and what is this year's challenge going to be we're gonna

be chatting about all of that and I've got some updates for you if you've been

following me for a while you know that I did not buy any clothing in 2017 and for

the most part I did actually carry on that pledge into 2018 I bought a few

items of clothing but I was much more mindful about what I was doing and

that's kind of the point of all this it's not to deprive ourselves it's to

learn what we what we do need what we don't need and trying to figure out what

a good balance is so I did go the entire year without any fabric was it difficult

I gotta be honest with you not really I thought maybe there would be a specific

project that I would need something for or you know I'd be like see some print

that I had to have and I did avoid looking at a lot of websites for fabric

and you know looking at a lot of blogs so that was that kind of helped the

other thing now I did say that if I got like fabric is part of like a PR box

like I sometimes get or as like a gift I just had to get rid of an equivalent

amount of fabric by selling it by giving it away so I did do that I did a little

little bit of a like sewing report sort of like a like a little sale early last

year and then I did a garage sale at whim so doodle that went pretty well I

definitely held up that end of the deal by not bringing more fabric into my

stash that's something that's been bothering me for awhile

I didn't want to have those crazy hoarders stashes and in fact I would say

that throughout the entire year and going into 2019 now I don't feel like I

made that big of a dent in my fabric stash I will be honest I still feel like

I have a way too much fabric so I think going into 2019 I'm gonna try to

continue to not really buy anything new use what I

have and try to be purposeful because I still have way too much stuff in here

and we're gonna be moving in the next few weeks so I want to have as little

stuff as possible even though that's still an insane amount of stuff in here

so there's been some changes this uh this contraption here this is my husband

James's new 3d printer so that's gonna be going with us when we move and we may

be making videos for his channel more proof I don't really understand 3d

printing I tried to use it one day while he was at work and it didn't go super

well but you know that's why I have a sewing channel and not a 3d printing

channel and for the record I was having a pretty good hair day but the rain like

it just got totally wrecked so here we are so yes no fabric and a funny story I

had bought like a bunch of fabric from fabric wholesale direct right before my

self-imposed fabric ban thinking hey this will give me a good stash of new

stuff to work on throughout the year I don't even think I've used any of that

forever so I spent about a hundred bucks on fabric and it's still just sitting in

the closet I did cut out some of the fabric to make some girls dresses with

but that project is definitely not anywhere near finished so I think it's

the thing I thought I was gonna need more fabric than I did you know I don't

know I guess I just had much more than I realized in my stash is it just me or do

I feel like we have a lot to catch up on why not make this like eight videos all

rolled into one so recently I got the new max email box

and mood fabrics which I have done a review on before they sent me another

sample box so in the spirit of fabric why not open these up during this video

so this is the designer fat it's like they're designing or swatch club this is

very cool thank you very much mood although I'm gonna need a lint roller

there's just a lot of random lint on here and like little fuzzies so okay

this is the new whoa new mood swatch club

samples okay so basically how it works is if you do sign up for this they send

you new swatches every month and then I think you get a discount on any orders

you make and they give you a little booklet of all the swatches okay this is

cool but mood man there there is a lot of debris in here previously I did do a

review on another swatch box I think it's a cool idea although I'm finding

with this one too the swatches are still very taste specific and a lot of the

fabrics are like pretty out there so it's not real neutral stuff think like

stuff that you would see like a fashion designer use on Project Runway okay Wow

I'm gonna close this there's like little hairs everywhere okay yeah there's a

piece of faux fur in here and I think this is where a lot of this is coming

from we're gonna put this back in the box

Thank You mood fabrics I always keep a couple lint rollers in my sewing room

because you never know when you're gonna like I feel like you need one all the

time maxie makes subscription sewing box for

december yes I realize it's mid-january so forgive me here I got the box a few

days ago and I've just been so wrapped up another stuff like looking for a

place to live that I haven't gotten a chance to get it out of the car oh this

is neat okay it's got oh this month's project is a needle book there's so much

more needle book and this is neat because it fits stuff that we've gotten

in previous maxy makes boxes like the little pins and some of the some of the

Wonder clips stuff so this is cool thank you so much maxi wow this one does a lot

of stuff in it I've really been enjoying these projects and I did make these

scarves in last month's box and I gifted them oh love me some fray check some

cute scissors in here embroidery scissors hey this will go great with my

new embroidery machine right you can always use another good pair of scissors

I love scissors there's quilters dream batty and probably for the needle book

oh this is cute look at all rights got more batting and it's got some fabrics

in here it's got some scissor fabric yes now that I'm now that my fabric ban

is over you know I can go hog-wild here it's got some more tea this is cute oh

and the ribbon that'll be used to close the needle book this is very cool that

in a useful project is and it's got some elastic this is a really good idea and I

think I could definitely use something like this so thank you so much Maxie for

thinking of me again these things were sent to me and I very much appreciate

them and I will link everything below if you are interested but again no pressure

here I almost didn't see this it's a super cute hummingbird needle threader

how cool okay so let's get to some other business what is gonna be the challenge

for this year and I'm gonna tell you it's going to be sewing for other people

sewing gifts that's what I want this theme to be and I'll tell you why I've

been doing a lot of sewing for myself in the past couple years but I also really

love gifting things whether it be to a close friend a family member or even

someone I barely know or don't know I just really like giving things to people

and I almost enjoy it more than getting gifts in return so I thought this year I

would focus on doing things for other people

of course you're welcome to do this also along with me because you know why not

do it with some friends here and I've been doing a lot of thinking lately and

also chatting with a friend of mine and I feel like I see a lot out there in the

sewing and making community of just making stuff sometimes it doesn't really

have a purpose it's like a little tchotchke I mean don't get me wrong

those things are cute everything you see on Pinterest but at the same time a lot

of it to me just doesn't seem practical and I really want to make something that

has intent meaning and purpose behind it rather than make something that is

adorable for five minutes and then you forget about it I also again I'm really

trying to purge things out of my life and and really kind of edit some of the

things I have possessions clothes whatever whatever you can think of

and I think that really goes along with everything I'm doing so I'm gonna try to

do as little selfish sewing this year as I possibly can I mean every once in a

while you never know if I'm gonna need something for myself but as I've learned

from 2017 you really don't need that much clothing I mean I wear the same

like three t-shirts just over and over again and pretty much just two pairs of

pants so it can certainly Bennett be done especially if you work from home

like me and a friend of mine who I did a shot of vlog with her for my channel Jen

talks forever and we also shot one for her channel Allison Moore oh she's a

friend of mine she's a TV reporter and she's probably one of the only known TV

reporters who focuses solely on environmental issues now I'm not the

biggest tree hugger on the planet but from talking to Allison it's really

gotten me I guess just maybe more interested or at least more feeling more

relevant to do things to at least cut down on my own carbon footprint I mean

you don't have to be like insane about it but at the same time I don't want to

be I don't want to be that jerk ruining the planet if you get my drift she talks

a lot about sustainability and one of the things that she feels is really

important is not only to like use green products and environmentally friendly

stuff but one big thing we can do as individuals is to simply consume less

buy something and use it as many times as you can get something that lasts

longer so you don't have to keep replacing it and I think that that just

really applies to the sewing community and the the crafting and DIY community

because I see a lot of projects out there and yes we can make we can make

something every day but at the same time I don't want to just make stuff to make

stuff I really want to make things with with it with a meaning behind it with a

purpose something practical so I'm gonna take this year and I am going to be for

the most part just sewing things for other people

and I want these things to mostly be a surprise and I've been doing this over

the past couple months and I just love surprising someone with like hit you

know monogrammed towels or handmade stockings or their own monogrammed

pillows and especially when the person's not expecting it so I'm going to be

documenting projects I make for other people I've been kind of doing that in

the month of December with some Christmas gifts I made but I want to

continue doing that and also telling you more about the recipient without really

giving away their identity but just kind of sharing more why making something for

someone and and just sharing that with you

and let's face it I don't I don't need any more stuff so that is my pledge for

2019 is sewing for others so if that's something you'd like to join in on feel

free to let me know in the comments because I I don't know it's just been

something that's really been weighing on my mind so I thought why not and I'm

probably still gonna continue to not really buy fabric if I do buy fabric I

will I will let you know but I think I could probably go for quite a while

without buying more fabric and if I did it would be like a small amount or

something very specific for a project but I don't I don't want to keep going

on this wheel of just buying fabric because it's cute without a project in

mind I think that can be potentially wasteful and I mean I could have fabrics

sitting here until after I die and then what do people do with it then I don't

know so if you have an opinion on this also

let me know but that's what we're doing this year folks also in in other news I

have found us a place to live so we're not gonna be I'm not gonna be doing this

on your part for my cardboard box yet we have found a condo for rent so I'm very

excited and we should be moving in in the next three to four weeks so I'm

pretty jazzed about the location and I think it'll have a good setup for

filming I'm probably gonna ditch this backdrop I really don't like it I don't

know I don't know why I thought it would be cool but it's got like I couldn't put

it up without there being a semen middle and I think that looks kind of

ugly so we'll see and also I should be able to take some really awesome sewing

pictures with with the setting so I won't give too much away yet but I think

this will be really cool so anyways I just wanted to catch up a little bit let

you know about how I did with the fabric challenge which was I think pretty I

think I did pretty okay and if you did enjoy this video be sure to hit that

like button and consider subscribing to the sewing report for everything sewing

crafts and DIY projects i'm jennifer moore i'll see you again in the next

Look at and look in there

And look what he's doing is doing

What am I doing?

He's unscrewing a bolt, what is that?

What is that?

What does it do? a crankshaft

Kind of not really, were getting to, this is the front cover

Oh

remember I always said we're taking the front cover off today, huh?

So right now we're taking the front cover off

See boys and girls don't look down here. I bet Roadkill is going to like this show

You think so?

Think they don't want to collaborate and make a cool show together?

Like they did with ah, Who are those guys?

Um ah, Lucky and a oh

I'll get it that's why we have the tool right?

yeah

So do you want me to use the tool?

What tool?

The..

No, you can just pick it up, that's fine.

OK

But we could use it. We could use it

Here

That bolt right there? Yup

Do I push it, dad?

Yup

That's good. It did it? Yup.

Get that one. Ok

That's good. That's good

I got it.

So

I'm going to go out of this car.

Wait what is that?

A cam button

wow look at that

Look how much that changes the timing

This is why we're doing the button watch this

So this is what caused all the issues right here, This gear right here, watch

when you push this in

See how much that turns

So that why, where our trouble was?

That was pushing out and wearing the gear funny, right

What are you doing with that?

I'm cleaning the gaskets up

I'm taller than this though.

Yeah except for the roof

Your taller then the roof

but your not

Your not even as tall as the tool box

I'm up right here

That's not bad

Right there

I only have, 1,2,3,4,5

5 inches to go.

OK

I'm in the engine and it's awesome, right? It is awesome.

7 things we spotted from Liverpool training ahead of Crystal Palace clash - Duration: 4:53.

If Liverpool's players were disappointed at Manchester City's failure to drop points on Monday night, then they weren't showing it at training on Tuesday

One of the most fascinating Premier League title races in years tightened up again as City swept past Wolves to move four points behind the Reds

But Liverpool can move away from City again for 24 hours at least when they host Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday

And as Jurgen Klopp put his players through their paces at Melwood ahead of the game, there were plenty of smiles on show as well as a welcome return

Here's what we spotted. Read More Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea latest and done deals 1

Even Klopp is limbering up for the battle   And it wasn't just the players who were looking to get into shape for the visit of Crystal Palace on Saturday, with Klopp seen on a treadmill as he watched his star men in action

The Liverpool boss will know that the season's marathon is now veering towards sprint territory, and the pace that both title challengers are going at is quite remarkable

2. Practice makes perfect  So it turns out that it doesn't all come naturally to him

Alisson was seen honing his skills on the ball during the session, on the same day that it was revealed that James Milner considers him to be Liverpool's player of the season

Is he right? Read More James Milner names his Liverpool player of the season so far - and it's not Virgil van Dijk 3

Robbo's got Salah's back  Liverpool's players have been quick to have Mohamed Salah's back amid recent, fairly hysterical suggestions that he's a diver

One of those players has been Andy Robertson, who quite literally had it here.   "Every time it happens then we go back and everyone looks at the video and you go, 'well, it's not a dive' so how many times is it going to happen?" said Robertson after the Brighton game

Has he got a point? Read More Liverpool transfer news: Adrien Rabiot latest as Reds eye Holland international 4

A welcome sight  It was great to see young talent Rhian Brewster out on a treadmill and observing the session, with the forward having missed the entire campaign through injury

When he signed a new deal in the summer the England Under-17 World Cup winner was seemingly promised some first-team minutes, and while it would be a shock to see him get them this season, could he earn the fabled 'like a new signing' status? 5

How far are you from fitness, Joel?  With the news that Trent Alexander-Arnold now faces a spell on the sidelines, any defensive reinforcements will be a welcome boost for Klopp

And so it was good to see Joel Matip at the session after he was deemed fit enough for a place on the bench at Brighton

He's likely to challenge Fabinho for a start in the Palace game Read More Trent Alexander-Arnold out for FOUR WEEKS as Liverpool star suffers knee injury 6

Down but not out  Back in August there wouldn't have been many Reds supporters willing to put money on Divock Origi still being at the club come January, but suddenly he's got an important role to play

The Belgian has arguably fought his way to the front of the queue to be considered as the first reserve to Liverpool's front line, and you can expect to see him make several cameos in the season's closing weeks

7. Shaq attack  We're not quite sure what has gone on here, but Xherdan Shaqiri looks like he's really, really enjoyed it

Perhaps this has been the key to Liverpool's impressive season so far: complete and utter chaos!

'Africa' by Toto Will Play 'for All Eternity' in the Namib Desert Thanks to Namibian Artist - News T - Duration: 3:01.

Everyone likes the song "Africa" by Toto — but have you ever thought about listening to it on an endless loop forever?  If so, you're apparently you're not alone

A Namibian artist named Max Siedentopf has assembled a sound installation in the Namib Desert of (where else?) Africa to play the classic 1982 hit on an MP3 player through six speakers on raised pedestals

Thanks to solar-powered batteries, the Toto jam will echo throughout the unforgiving 55 million-year-old sands "for all eternity

" Get push notifications with news, features and more. Follow Following You'll get the latest updates on this topic in your browser notifications

"[I] wanted to pay the song the ultimate homage and physically exhibit 'Africa' in Africa," Siedentopf said in an interview with the BBC

"Some [Namibians] love it and some say it's probably the worst sound installation ever

I think that's a great compliment."  He admits that maybe the whole "for all eternity" thing is a little optimistic

"Most parts of the installation were chosen to be as durable as possible, but I'm sure the harsh environment of the desert will devour the installation eventually," he adds

Superfans hoping to commune with the ultimate "Africa" shrine will be disappointed to know that Siedentopf has not disclosed the location of his art installation

However, some Toto groupies have chosen to show their admiration in other ways

Last May, Weezer recorded a cover of "Africa" as the result of a fan-oriented social media campaign

Their version quickly went viral, reaching number one on the Billboard Alternative charts that summer

The band then released a video in September, with Weird Al Yankovic standing in for lead singer Rivers Cuomo

Toto returned the favor by covering Weezer's 2001 track "Hashpipe" in August.

Consumer Spending Could Shrink As Shutdown Drags On - Duration: 3:45.

Economists are starting to get worried here in the United States that economic growth

for this year is going to slow to a crawl.

Thanks mostly to the ongoing government shutdown just this week.

The White House has already had to adjust their estimates of how much damage the shutdown

is going to do to the economy.

In the beginning, they predicted that it was going to slow growth by point one percent

every two weeks.

They have now adjusted that and said, uh, looks like it is causing and will continue

causing point one percent, uh, drop in growth per week.

So literally the damage that they predicted, it has now doubled what's actually happening.

Double double the economic damage.

And for those of you who think that point one percent of our economy shrinking is not

that big of a deal.

Consider the fact that when the economy grows by one and a half or two percent were out

there celebrating in the streets, like we've just had some big accomplishment and we're

inching closer and closer to slowing.

So far this year by an entire point to start 20, 19.

Yes.

This is a big deal point one percent is a fairly large number when you're talking about

the entire US economy, so economists are out there right now trying to warn us that this

is not sustainable, this is going to have ripple effects and it is already having ripple

effects throughout the entire economy, specifically what it's hurting right now as overall consumer

spending, and that's obviously not just the people, the 800,000 federal workers who aren't

being paid, it's everybody else as well because as uncertainty spreads through the economy,

people don't know if they're going to get paid.

People don't know if the shutdowns going to end.

They don't know what it means for their job.

If they're dependent upon government contracts, they don't know what it means, so they stopped

spending as much.

They try to put some of it away.

You know, even people who do live paycheck to paycheck, they're now going without necessities

just because they aren't sure that a paycheck's going to be showing up in two weeks.

They don't know what's going to happen to their job and that's what happens.

That's why every little tick, every talk of the economic clock can have such a massive

effect throughout the entire economy.

Wall Street is starting to freak out a little bit too because again, a lot of the big stocks

here in the United States, those are government contractors.

You know your Boeings, your lockheeds, your people who profit off war with the government

shutdown.

They may not get those checks.

They may not be able to do all the things that they think they're going to do, and to

be honest, part of that is pretty good thing, but overall, the slowing of economic activity

in the United States precipitates more slowing.

That is what happens.

That is how an attire economy eventually starts contracting and that is what economists are

warning us has happening right now, and as I've said multiple times, we already have

an economy that's built out of Straw, right?

It doesn't take much to knock this entire thing over a government shutdown as the kind

of thing that could do it.

Donald Trump's trade wars were something that could do it.

When you add all of these little bitty things together that each in their own had the ability

to destroy this economy, you start to get a much clearer picture of the fact that this

economy, at some point in this year, and this is what economists are telling us, is about

to all come crashing down.

Championship Sunday: Ranking head coaches based on trust - Duration: 7:46.

Taking team allegiances out of the equation, the two matchups set for Championship Sunday are a football fan's dream

Why? Because they feature the best teams in the league on paper: the Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs

This group is made up of the league's four highest-scoring offenses of the 2018 season

It has an unbelievable mix of talent, leadership and records -- lots of records. I'm not focusing on the players this week, though, as I'm turning my focus to the four head coaches in the spotlight -- Sean McVay (Rams), Sean Payton (Saints), Bill Belichick (Patriots) and Andy Reid (Chiefs)

LATEST ANALYSIS   ▶ Schein: Why Mahomes will beat Brady   ▶ Divisional Round shatters narratives   ▶ Pats like movie monster you can't kill   ▶ Saints' Thomas lets record day do the talking  Payton, Reid and especially Belichick are anything but beginners when it comes to coaching in the postseason

Belichick, who has led the Patriots to five Super Bowl titles, has the most playoff wins (29) of all time among coaches, while Reid is second among active coaches with 12 playoff victories

Payton joins Belichick as the only other head coach in this group to win a Super Bowl

Reid has made one Super Bowl appearance as a head coach -- his Philadelphia Eagles lost to Belichick's Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX

Meanwhile, McVay is just 1-1 in playoff games as a head coach.  This season, each of these four coaches has been exceptional and helped their teams combine for a 49-15 regular-season record

Heading into Championship Sunday, I decided to rank them based on who I trust most at this stage in the postseason

Here's how I stack them:  1) Bill Belichick, New England Patriots: The most successful teams this late in the season have coaches who are great at game-planning, preparation and situational football

Belichick has been the best at all those things -- at least that I have seen -- in the last two decades

His teams are always prepared for any situation that could arise, and Belichick is also good at clock management

It helps that Belichick has one of the best quarterbacks in history -- and a lot of other talented players -- on his side, but I firmly believe the longtime head coach's decision making in the postseason is the main reason why the Patriots have been to eight straight AFC Championship Games and won five championships in their eight Super Bowl appearances during his tenure

Belichick is a master motivator, too. My colleague and former New England Patriot Willie McGinest can attest to this

Even Brady, who still has a huge chip on his shoulder from not being picked until the sixth round of the 2000 draft, still feels like an underdog at times

This was on display again in his postgame interview Sunday with CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson, when TB12 said, "

I know everyone thinks we suck and you know, can't win any games. So we'll see." It's clear Brady still has something to prove

STILL. After everything he's accomplished. No matter how Belichick motivates his players, it's clear that they still respond, as we saw in Sunday's rout of the Chargers

 2) Sean Payton, New Orleans Saints: I trust the Saints' head coach for a lot of the same reasons I trust Belichick

Payton excels at situational football and has the same aggressive mindset, which we saw on Sunday with the successful fake punt and TD pass to Keith Kirkwood on fourth down

Payton might take more make-or-break chances than the rest of the coaches on this list, but from a quarterback's standpoint, I trust that he'll put me in the right position to succeed

With Payton calling plays, the quarterback never has to question the game plan and knows adjustments will be made if necessary

Sunday was a perfect example of that. As bad as it looked in the first quarter, when New Orleans fell behind 14-0, the Saints were bound to make it competitive because Payton makes the needed adjustments more often than not

He is also a great motivator, as players always seem to play hard for him. I guess that's what happens when you put the Lombardi Trophy, more than $200,000 in cash and a Super Bowl ring on display during a players meeting

 3) Sean McVay, Los Angeles Rams: I love McVay, but the reason he's third is because he still has the tendency to get caught up in the "I'm a good play-caller" trap

What's that, you ask? It's when you get away from what you do best in favor of showing how creative you can be

He wants to go shot for shot against other great play-callers, trying to outwit and out-scheme the opposition

It might work sometimes, but more often than not, McVay should drop the smoke and mirrors and stay true to what got the Rams to this point -- running the ball

We saw McVay try to go blow for blow against both Matt Nagy and Sean Payton in the regular season, and it didn't pan out in either situation

As good as McVay is, he can easily get caught up in his own Xs and Os, and this happens to a lot of good coordinators

It happened to Kyle Shanahan with the Falcons in Super Bowl LI. Being a great play-caller can be a blessing and a curse

 4) Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs: Interestingly, Belichick has coached 342 games with the Patriots and allowed more than 40 points just seven times, but three of those were against Reid

Statistically, Reid's offenses put up gaudy numbers, but my concern is that he hasn't been the best coach when it comes to situational football

There have been instances where his teams played with zero urgency when losing -- like in Super Bowl XXXIX -- and others where he's done a poor job with the clock

As brilliant as he is at the Xs and Os, Reid has lacked in other areas of game management

As a head coach, that's the one area where you must be great and he isn't. Reid has had many opportunities to lead his team in situational moments in big games, and he's often come up short

That said, all four of these coaches have a chance to win the Lombardi in February

Even though he's the coach I trust the least from this group, Reid has the X-factor with Patrick Mahomes, who possesses qualities defenses can't account for (SEE: no-look throw)
