can you believe this is naturally colored wood

the red heart shavings came

from the Christmas bowl I made and the yellow heart shavings came from the rim

of the purple heart and yellow heart combination I made

the idea here is to

make them look like flames inside of resin

this will end up being the dome

for a tea light holder

and the smaller container will be the stand that holds the actual candle

once everything was poured it went into a pressure pot and stayed there for about 18 hours

taking the second mold off was a little bit more difficult because

it got deformed inside the pressure pot which I kind of expected because it was

just a plastic cup but it came off in the end

here I'm just flattening out the end of the base so I can cut the mortise here

and that's where the candle is going to sit

and here I reverse mounted the base and I'm working on the foot to keep it nice

and wide and kind of dome out the bottom

this week I want to show you with permission from his mom what one

particular very talented young subscriber has made

there's quite a few of you that have sent pictures in

I just wanted to give Evan his own special stage today

because I'm really impressed with him

okay so I've started working on the top piece the shade or the dome of the tea

light holder and obviously I'm working on the top and outside first

and here it looks like I'm putting a mortise but I'm actually just starting

to hollow this thing out which I thought would be pretty challenging but it went

pretty smoothly

I went through a series of tools doing this I used the 3/8 bowl gouge and then

I switched to the 5/8 bowl gouge but what I ended up using and what worked

the best was this multi tip hollowing tool which is not carbide tip it's just

high speed steel but this is a tool made by Sorby that I've had for a long time I

just don't break it out very often and there's a good look at it slo-mo

incidentally I did all of the turning on this piece both the base and the dome

here at about 850 rpm I think I could have turned it faster

but this was where it felt the most comfortable to me

OK let's shine a little light on this

this is looking pretty good I think it's it's starting to develop the flame look

that I was going for but the jury's still out we'll see we'll see

I'm sure it goes without saying but before I stopped working on the base I

sanded it all the way up to 12,000 and grip as well using you know wet sanding

with micromesh

and I'm doing the same thing here to the to the dome inside and

out before I flip it and work on the underside

and after sanding I just touched it up with a little bit of Renaissance wax

those little boards are just there for spacing between the piece and the chuck

what I have written on the screen is very true and I can't overstate it

I'm amazed I I'm so grateful for all of you by the time this is published on

down the street this holographic fabric is kind of a hip new thing or maybe it's

resurging now I think it looks really really cool like this is cool if I was

going out to the clubs of course I don't it fits like a glove I'll show you the

back yeah Wow anything futuristic really for people or

especially girls that were around in the 90s like myself we pretty much always

say it reminds us of xenon girl of the 21st century which was a really good

Disney movie you know I suggest you check it out if you haven't already and

there's music in it too they sing songs zoom-zoom-zoom

make my heart go BOOM BOOM my super in don't fuck up something funny I found

out about recently is that most of them up it's up Twitter accounts so I started

following Miss Piggy we have Kermit the Frog this guy called Pepe and he's like

a Pepe he's like I like it's like she's like a shrimp he's so funny I follow him

Rizzo's on there oh my god so I found one of these tweets and I tweeted my

friend and it was something that Kermit the Frog had posted from New Year's Eve

and it cracked me up I don't know things crack me up my friend I don't even know

why he's really my friend because he does not have the same sense

of humor as me because as I expected when I asked his reaction later he just

kind of read it and was just like yeah that's cute cute what are you talking

about tell me if you think this is funny Kermit the Frog had tweeted here's to

all the tadpoles getting their legs in 2019 no one deserves to use the match or

a new year new me more than them it's funny to me because it's so random

I mean yeah I do laugh at myself but at least somebody does number one and

number two if you don't laugh at your own jokes that's pretty sad because even

you don't think you're funny it was fate that had me find these I was

putting something away to drawer I haven't seen this in a million years

this is actually like a thing it's a makeup brush holder from some makeup

brand but like hello beer coasters are you kidding me oh Jesus Christ I almost

oh my god getting to know you getting to know all about you getting to like you

getting to help you like me beautiful and new things I'm learning about you

okay so very quickly want to show you another kind of look with these paths oh

these things it's all in the pants all and the pants

there was a seventies party that I went to when I was younger and made my friend

dressed up in 70s clothes but mine really was just like kind of metallic

pants sort of similar to these and there was a competition at this party and me

and my friend were kind of both vying for this like best-dressed kind of most

70s costume and I guess I had thought that I should want it because my pants

were expensive and I bought them at the mall but my friend had actual vintage

70s clothes from her mother I had started this chant for my friends to

chants they chanted it's all in the pants it's all in the pants for my

metallic pants and I ended up winning this come competition and my friend it

was like we kind of got into a little tiff that night but thinking back on it

it's like who cares if I spent I should have spent thirty dollars on metallic

pants for this party she was wearing actual seventies clothes you know what

I'm saying anyway I think this is very cool to you thank you so much to the

generous viewers like who gets to dress up like this is my camera in the shot oh

Paul Gilbert String Skipping Arpeggios Tutorial | Quick Guitar Tricks - Duration: 10:02.

Jack here JBF music and guitar lessons, in this quick guitar tricks we're looking at

some of Paul Gilbert's most common string skips arpeggios shapes; each example will

have a 16th or 8th note version, triplet variation and I'll chuck in any relevant bonus tricks

I can think of as we go.

First up, This D minor arpeggio; link to jam tracks with the card in the top right there.

This shape goes [play] D, F, A, D ,F and back down D, A ,F, D. So this one falls nicely

into an 8 note group, just going up and down it [plays again slower].

The picking on this is probably going to change depending on your idiosyncrasies and preference,

so all I'll really say on that is go with the smoothest cleanest, natural way for you;

also you might want to pick more notes, like you could pick the F on the high E and that

sort of thing [play]; so again just experiment with it.

There's loads of patterns you can do, I've gone for this one for the triplet version

[play slow a few times].

Essentially 2 patterns in one [play 1st half or bar] and this one [play 2nd half of bar],

so bonus trick here I suppose, you could mix and match them.

[play]

Ok, so I'll also be looking at an F major, a D minor 7 and an E diminished; just to keep

things in the same sort of key.

These shapes will work between the D and B strings or the G and E; obviously you can

move them around if you want to play in a different key.

F major going [play] F, A, C, F, A and back down F, C, A, F- the same idea as the minor

one we just looked at [play] And so is the triplet variation [play].

Bonus tip; this will harmonize the d minor in 3rds; will sound quite cool.

Obviously, you can make more patterns from these shapes; something which I would really

suggest doing!

So on that note, here's another bonus trick of sorts, say we were playing over an [play]

F, Fsus4, F, Fsus2; which has a Paul Gilbert Mr. Big pop era vibe we could follow those

chords by adding in notes [play]:

So that 18th fret, suggested the Sus4, 17th is the standard major and the 15th suggests

a Sus2.

So you can sort of hear it outlining...

D minor 7 [play] Here we have: C, D, F ,A, C, D and back down;

C, A, F, D.

This example is quintuplets; 5 beats over 4; lesson card in the top right for more on

that; it's cool but not the most intuitive grouping; Paul Gilbert will use groups of

5, so seems worth suggesting it as an option.

To get a 16th note version I've had to create a more elaborate passage [play]:

And a bit slower [play] Again, I'm just picking where it feels right for me; you might

want less or more picking.

For the triplet version I've added in a tapped note; F; 18th fret on the b string.

this one rolls quite nicely.

Bonus Trick you could tap or slide tap the 22nd fret; which is an A, so fits into

the arpeggio.

As a secondary bonus trick; you don't have to stick to a strict arpeggio, so why not

try adding in other notes from the scale as see what cool sounds you can get?

You might want to mix this one up with the D minor shape, bonus tip there I suppose [play]:

Also double bonus trick; remember you don't have to go up and down them; like that last

group of notes I'm going [play].

Although this will give a more spacey sound, rather than a more clear arpeggio; so it just

depends what vibe you want really.

As as bonus within a bonus, within bonus, you might want to try hybrid picking ones

like this; you can pick the D string, middle finger for the b string and 3rd finger for

the e.

Totally legit way to play this, or you could just use your finger for any other string.

We can add in the F on the low E string for what is probably his best known string skip:

I've actually covered this pattern and other uses for it in another video; card in the

top right.

So I'm not going to spend much time on this one, but for good measure here it is slowly

again [play].

If you were playing this up a string set; which would make it a G minor 7 [play slow];

you can still put that low note in; in this case it would be a B flat; the flat 3 of G

minor; just like how F is the b3rd of D minor.

Finally, E diminished: [play]

The notes being E, G, Bb, Db, E, G, Bb (tapped), G, E, Db, E, G, E, Db, Bb, G.

So a bit of a longer twiddle on the E string to make up the bar, and to highlight you can

spend more time on one string like that; rather than just going up and down relentlessly!

The triplet variation [play]:

E, G, Bb, Db, E, G, G, E, Db, Bb, G, E- Doubling up notes; that 15th fret G so is rolls a bit

better; another thing to consider there; doubling the notes.

One last bonus trick for those who are still watching, thanks for that, shout out to the

supreme lick squad elite!

This arpeggio is made up by going up a minor 3rd interval, so we can tap any note that

follows that same rule.

18th fret, 21st fret, 24th fret on both the E and G strings.

You can really do nuts with this and have a full on legato tapping spree.

Wild and crazy option; 6 finger tapping; which I'm not very good at so bear with me!

Cool, so those were what I think of as Paul Gilbert's

most common sting skip patterns, this has been quick tricks that's the play list up

Pokimane Falsely Accused By Repzilla - Duration: 9:54.

I'm saying a video by a close friend that's about Pokimane and by a youtuber

called Repzilla if you're new here or aren't aware I was friends with him for

a bit he taught me a lot about YouTube but we've since had a falling out but

we're kind of civil anyway I was watching his Pokimane video, saw the title

I was like alright seems like we've come to a general consensus and have similar

views on the topic this could be interesting wonder if he'll looking to

bowblax's messages or what he'll choose to focus on, he chose to focus on

the copyright side of it which is fair enough but what wasn't fair enough was

where he went with it he states that he knew who her MCN was

who is Omni media and that he'd talk about it later in the video

so after focusing on not much with the video we get to the point that I want to

talk about mainly and that was the copyright strike situation now it

wasn't a copyright strike he received there was a comment about it

and he responding saying that he often gets copyright strikes and claims mixed

up which is fair enough I do too sometimes but in this case it

was neither, it was neither a copyright strike or copyright claim here's a clip

where he starts to talk about the copyright situation regarding his Pokimane video

he made a couple of months ago got a copyright strike by her too, I did I really

did I'm not joking I will show you here the copyright

strike says a copyright owner using Content ID claims some material in your

video I don't know if he only plan to go into the exact detail that he did or not but

based off what I said and presented he is incorrect unfortunately let me

explain why this screenshot from his video is essentially all you need to

dive into the specific details of what's being explained here what is shown in

the video by Repzilla is a Content ID claim all the ones I

have received to being automatic so most of that I would guess that this was to

here's what a Content ID claim email looks like here's an email regarding a

notice that they're all different during my research I tried to find

instances of manual Content ID claims and I'm not sure that they exist as

Content ID claims runs your content audio and visual through a YouTube

system for matches it only matches if something is registered so if there's an

obscure song like for example I used a song called Pinot Noire by navyblue

in a video for like two minutes straight and it didn't get claimed because they don't

have it set up to do so navyblue that is I'm not sure how it works exactly but

that's just an example I also had visual content claimed for using footage from

at the end of the f'ing world for an edit with the music from Mars Argos roadtrip

video also here's YouTube's official explanation about Content ID first

content owners give us audio or visual reference files that identify their

works we keep these fingerprints in a database of hundreds of years of audio

and visual contents Content ID scans videos on YouTube against these

fingerprints to see if there's a match a main issue with this video though is that

Repzilla is claiming that this is hypocrisy from Pokimane but in this

instance i don't feel like it is and as the details aren't shown in the video

like the time in the video that matched the footage there isn't all that much to

go on but what I do know is that there's generally a 15 second rule for Content

ID if you play in excess of 15 seconds of the song that

gets recognized or a video in this case then it gets claimed this doesn't give

you a strike or anything just that the revenue goes to the people who claimed

it according to YouTube's database and in the initial video he in fact show

over 15 seconds of one of Pokimane's Twitter videos completely uninterrupted

sure it's an odd thing for someone to make it be available for a Content ID claim but

it does make sense given that she had taken down a video that featured the

whole thing previously it is a measurement that essentially says if you

want to show this footage that I at one stage wanted taken down then

I'll get the revenue it can also happen if you're commentating over a piece of

footage or music as long as it plays for 15 seconds or more without interruption

and you may be saying that if you commentate over at that's interruption

if the footage plays for 15 seconds just non-stop regardless of if you're

commentating over or not it is likely to be claimed for example that happened to

me with my Poppy - Time Is Up reaction whether or not that is fair is up to you

to decide but that's just how it is Repzilla says in his video that he's

worried about all the other potential people that Pokimane has claimed videos

on but I would suggest that the case of the video that bowblax showcased

that was taken down is potentially the only video in which a Content ID claim

happens I mean why would she be complaining about all these Twitch

compilations if she was getting the revenue anyway as I said earlier he

claims that this is hypocrisy on Pokimane's end when really it's not if it's

anyone's fault its YouTube's it's an automated system that's like saying no

musician should have their music be able to be content ID claimed he also says

that his video got taken down multiple times which it didn't that then says it

also didn't get taken down saying the video got claimed in the video got taken

down they're kind of similar but they mean completely different things

this is also interesting someone who claims to do lots of research and I'm

worried that his followers will take his word and not look into it further I

don't think that they would spread hate towards Pokimane for it or anything

but there's a difference if someone is claiming to do all this research then

why would you yourself even think to need to look into it further I mean you

wouldn't would you and that's kind of an issue but you know

people will people do what they want end this video on an interesting note if

you've been around here for a while you would know this already but as this guy

is talking about how Pokimane did him wrong and such

turns out he's no stranger to false copyright claims either well towards me

at least an earlier screenshot I showed with the takedown request was in fact a

takedown request from him because he didn't like a video I made he claimed

the whole video was his I think I used maybe 10 seconds and his footage in the

entire video but don't quote me on that because I haven't seen it for a while

this wasn't an automatic thing by YouTube this was him being malicious he

also threatened to take down my channel with false copyright claims because of

that video I made the one that he sent a takedown notice about or takedown

requests this didn't eventuate but what he did do was get another video of mine

taken down. I uploaded a video entitled a lot can happen in a day

it was a bit of an apology clarification and such of the events that happened

the day of me releasing the video about him it was taken down for breaching

Community Guidelines which it of course wasn't one of the strangest things that

I still don't understand is that it didn't give me a guideline strike so I

couldn't appeal it either I never re-uploaded the video to youtube it is in a

Dropbox that's public though so I'm not exactly sure he has much of a leg to

stand on unfortunately but we do agree on Pokimane being a bit hypocritical so

that's something it just wasn't for the same things really have a nice day

I'm already close here to get on Google's building. Caio doesn't have a clue that I'm coming.

The people over Google is having lunch with him. They set up some computers to play a CS match

So its gonna be a big surprise for Caio and I'm hoping that he'll be glad with my presence

Because I'm glad to be able to make Caio's dreams come true

Make a Wish is an organization that fulfill dreams from childrens diagnosed with life threatening diseases

Because we believe that when a child that sees his dreams come true, becomes a fuel for them to continue their treatment

A treatment that most of the time is painful and a lot of heavy work

And Caio is a 14 years old boy, he'll be 15 next month

Like he made clear - Fallen: His getting a lot of presents - He already got a lot of gifts

So since he got ill he stayed a great time in his house so he started to play CS:GO

He started to like everything about games, programming and coding. He's a big fan of Fallen

He always wanted to meet Fallen, crazy to meet him, and he also wanted to know a great technology company

because that's his world, that's what he likes. We make this surprise with Google

We got in touch with THiago that is our friend, and he got us in contact with Google

And Google was amazing helping us
