Minnesota and Wisconsin

Two bordering states in these United States.

Both in the Upper Midwest. Both get very, very, very cold in the winter.

Grumpy Old Men clip

And are still pretty cold in early spring and late fall as well.

But the summers in both states are nice.

Except for the crazy terrorist mosquitoes.

But yeah, both have humid continental climates. Wisconsin gets a bit more precipitation, though.

Both are great. And Great Lakes states.

Minnesota borders Lake Superior.

Ah, but Wisconsin borders Lake Superior AND Lake Michigan, so does that MAKE it superior?

Sorry about that. I'll stop now.

But yeah, both states don't ever have to worry about having enough access to fresh water.

Both have similar populations, although Minnesota is growing at a faster rate.

Both states are more heavily populated in the southern portion of the state, with large areas of wilderness covering the northern portions.

However, Wisconsin's population is a bit more spread out throughout the state.

About 2/3 of the population of Minnesota lives in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.

Both have similar size economies. Minnesota's GDP per capita is higher than Wisconsin's though.

Since the Great Recession, the economies of the two states have been compared a lot, and while there is a debate about the "why," there is no doubt Minnesota's economy has grown more.

According to Forbes magazine, Minnesota is a better state for business, but both have similar unemployment rates and projected job growth.

Wisconsin's biggest industries include manufacturing, agriculture, and healthcare.

And yep, it holds true to its stereotype.

It's the biggest producer of cheese in the country.

Boy do they take their cheese seriously. Like, really seriously.

There are cheese snobs everywhere man.

Anyway, Minnesota's biggest industries are also manufacturing and agriculture, but also professional and business services.

The biggest religion in both states is...you guessed it...Christianity.

Minnesota appears to be a bit more religious than Wisconsin.

Both states have low crime compared to the rest of the country.

You know, because they're too cold to commit crime there.

The majority of residents from both states have ancestors from Europe.

While humans have lived in both areas for thousands of years, the first Europeans to settle both were the French.

For the most part, the French got along with and traded with the various American Indian tribes in what is today both states.

The largest tribe was the Dakota Sioux.

The Ojibwe also lived in and continue to live in both states.

Other tribes native to Wisconsin include the Ho-Chunk, Menominee, and Potawatomie.

After the French lost control of the area, several American Indians there continued to resist the rising number of first British and then later Americans

encroaching on their territory.

After the United States was established, both states were once part of the Northwest Territory.

Much of modern-day Minnesota was once part of Wisconsin Territory after folks created it in 1836.

Minnesota folks formed their own territory in 1849.

Wisconsin is older than Minnesota.

It became a state almost exactly ten years before Minnesota.

Early industries in both states included logging-thanks to those mad forests in the north amiright?- mining, and agriculture of course.

The earliest European settlers in both were mostly Yankees from back east.

During the Civil War, both states actively supported the Union.

After the war was over, as industry grew and cheap land became available in both states, a flood of immigrants followed, many of them coming from Germany and the Scandinavian countries.

That's right. People from colder, dark places seemed fine with cold, dark Wisconsin and Minnesota.

But those Germans. More of them settled in Wisconsin, which, coincidentally, also became one of the brewing capitals of the country by the end of the 1800s.

In the early 1900s, Wisconsin also became one of the progressive capitals of the country with dudes like Robert La Follette.

After World War II, Minnesota became known for computer technology with companies like Sperry Rand and Control Data.

Both have a lot of good rock bands.

Now, let's have a rundown of the differences between the two states.

Minnesota has more citizens who have at least a bachelor's degree or higher.

Related to this...Minnesota has a lower poverty rate.

Minnesota leans more to the left politically than Wisconsin.

Residents there tend to vote more for Democratic Party candidates, and haven't voted for a Republican for President since Nixon in 1972.

Wisconsin has voted mostly for Democrats for President in recent decades, too, but they did surprise and vote for Trump in 2016.

But yeah, Wisconsin is a swing state, meaning people's votes go back and forth between the two major political parties and their votes actually count in presidential elections.

Minnesota tends to be more independent minded when it comes to elections, and is not afraid to take chances on outsiders running for office.

Minnesota is about a third bigger than Wisconsin. Not that size matters.

Residents in Minnesota tend to be a bit younger.

Minnesota does not have taxes on basic need items like food and clothing.

But while residents of Wisconsin have to pay taxes on all clothing, they pay less taxes overall compared to residents in Minnesota.

As matter of fact, Minnesota has some of the highest tax rates in the country.

But they do spend more on education than Wisconsin.

It's more expensive to live in Minnesota, mostly due to housing.

Related to this...Minnesota has a higher minimum wage.

Minnesota prides itself in building public structures using stuff actually found in the state.

For example, Target Field, the ballpark where the Twins play, was partially built with limestone from the state, and features native spruce trees near center field and local producers of food and drink in its concession stands.

Minnesota is the only state in the country that currently has a split in its state legislature.

The Democratic Party there currently controls the House, while the Republican Party controls the Senate.

Minnesota may be known as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes," but they actually have 11,842.

But Wisconsin has more lakes. Supposedly 15,074.

But here's the thing. Wisconsin calls almost any thing slightly bigger than a pond a lake, sooo….you know...

Minnesota has a national park.

Wisconsin? Nope.

In fact, Minnesota has more than 10 times more wilderness than Wisconsin.

Minnesota has pretty much the best hospital in the world- the Mayo Clinic, founded way back in 1864 in Rochester.

It seems like I'm bragging on Minnesota so much, so let me brag about Wisconsin.

Wisconsin has Wisconsin freaking Dells, the 14th happiest place on earth.

Seriously. I love that place.

Other random yet interesting differences.

Wisconsinites call drinking fountains "bubblers."

Minnesotans call this "pop" but Wisconsinites tend to call it "soda."

Apparently some Wisconsinites also call themselves "Sconnies."

And finally, recently more Wisconsinites have been moving to Minnesota than Minnesotans moving to Wisconsin.

And this has worried several politicians in Wisconsin.

as you could imagine.

But don't worry, Wisconsin. Minnesota might be all cocky right now, but I'm sure this trend won't last forever.

By the way, I can't wait to see all the trash talking in the comments from people of both states for this one.

Sooo many people requested that I compare these two states, and I am a big fan of both, so I'm glad I finally got around to making this video.

If you are from Wisconsin or Minnesota, please feel free to let me know what I got right and definitely let me know what I got wrong.

After days of research, I love being told I am utterly wrong.

Also, which states should I compare next? Let me know, eh?

And finally, I can't believe I haven't announced this yet, but I started a Reddit page.

So if you Reddit, subscribe to the sub and upvote and stuff. Don't downvote. That's unethical.

Thanks for watching, and go Chiefs!

Light Body Mantra Meditation for Enlightenment & Divine Intelligence - Duration: 9:00.

Vallalar or Swami Ramalingam is a 19th Century Tamil Siddha Master who in 1874 turned his

body into light and disappeared.

Stopping the mind is enlightenment, according to some people, or just God-realization or

whatever that one means by that, or attaining the highest intelligence. There are many,

many ways of defining it in different religions, and everyone dies at the end whether the enlightened

or the unenlightened. But Vallalar, "If you die, you have failed." That is his idea

of what enlightenment means because for him enlightenment literally means turning the

body into light.

Ramalingam says that it is only through the Grace of God that the body can turn into light,

not otherwise.

God is infinitely merciful. Ramalingam became infinitely merciful as well. He said that

you should not even hurt a mosquito. That is the kind of love and compassion he developed

towards, even the plants. When he saw a plant without water he cried. When he saw people

hungry and not being fed and he cried.

That was the kind of compassion that he had. Siva appeared before him and gave these 2

lines, Arut Perum Jothi Arut Perum Jothi Tani Perum Karunai Arut Perum Jothi What this verse

means is "Arul" which is divine intelligence, which is omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence

can be attained by simply understanding this one little word "Arul," A –R – U – L,

and that's the state of consciousness. If that consciousness comes to you, then you

realize that and you become that light. This Arul is God and that Arul, Arut Perum Jothi

Arut Perum Jothi Tani Perum Karunai Arut Perum Jothi was given to Swami Ramalingam by Siva

Himself. He said this will do it

and you don't have to worry about anything.

Arut Perum Jyoti, Arut Perum Jyoti, Thani Perum Karunai, Arut Perum Jyoti

Arut Perum Jyoti, Arut Perum Jyoti, Thani Perum Karunai, Arut

Perum Jyoti Jyoti, Jyoti, Shiva Jyoti, Chidambaram Jyoti,

Chit Akasha Jyoti, Arut Perum Jyoti, Arut Perum Jyoti, Thani

Perum Karunai, Arut Perum Jyoti

Ultimately you just want enlightenment which is realizing who you are; realizing who you

are is just light and that the body can turn into light. That miracle happens only when

the God of Light decides to give you that.

Pasta ceci e cozze di Felice Sgarra - Paste Speciali | Gluten free - Duration: 5:07.

Nice to meet you. My name is Felice Sgarra and I'm patron chef of the restaurant Umami

in Andria. In this case, today, I want to present you a recipe that talks about

pasta. A pasta from the pasta maker "La Pasta del Maestro", gluten-free

and this might sound strange to you, as it's a pasta made with

chickpeas flour. In this case, we have a mezza casereccia with chickpeas flour, black

chickpeas, a potato from Zapponeta, a sand type, and black mussels from Taranto.

Some acidity from the lemon and ginger peel, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil,

the very emblem of Andria city. Let's start with the recipe, from stewing the

black mussels, so a drizzle of extra

virgin olive oil in a pan, the mussels right away, on a

medium flame, covered. A minute cooking and we'll practically obtain the opening of the

valve of the mussel bivalve. And we're cleaning them.

So we'll obtain the net fruit and we're keeping a bit of the cooking

liquid. With the potato from Zapponeta, instead, we just have to cook it

in a pot with vegetable broth for 30 minutes, covered. We're peeling it and pressing it

lightly with a potato masher, in this case, seasoning it with a drizzle

of oil. But we'll go through it later. For what concerns the black chickpeas,

they need to be soaked for 48 hours, not longer than a single night.

These chickpeas are extremely cooked through boiling only, without mirepoix

or anything, in a vegetable broth for about 30-40 minutes.

We need to be careful not to stir them with steel ladles or tools,

but with a wooden ladle only.

At this point, after the cooking, we'll obtain a cream with one part, and

we'll keep the rest of the chickpeas whole to make it possible to feel that

sort of crunchiness of the legume itself. So, once we develop the three

processes of mussels, potatoes and chickpeas, we can proceed with the cooking of pasta.

We're cooking it in boiling water, lightly salted, for 7/8 minutes.

In the meantime, we're keeping the black chickpeas cream hot, while the pasta itself is cooking.

When the cooking is done, we're straining the pasta and moving it in a further pot.

Now we just have to thicken it all. So, in the pasta

we're adding the black chickpeas cream and the black chickpeas itself. We're adding, in this

case, extra virgin olive oil. We're thickening with a small leaf of

rosemary and a small leaf of sage, that we're adding.

Let's go on to the plating. We're placing some of our potato at the base, as it

is a mirror of our territory and will act as an adhesive element. We'll take

a lemon peel that we're adding out of the flame, giving it

an acidic persistence at the base. A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil

and, lightly, some hints of salt. At this point, we're placing the pasta.

We can also notice the small chunks of chickpeas.

We'll serve it with the mussels and their liquid. We're adding them in the end, so

to show the net fruit of the mussel.

As a finishing tone, before getting to the extra virgin olive oil,

we're lightly adding a bit of ginger. Ginger, as it possess that particular

acidity, different from the lemon one, that gives to the seafood itself

and to the legume itself a better digestibility. We're adding the vegetable

hint, with sage and rosemary.

We're finishing it with our extra virgin olive oil, and it's done.

The plate is ready. Enjoy the tasting and have fun,

by Felice Sgarra.

Pasta ceci e cozze di Matteo Torretta - Duration: 4:41.

Hi everybody, I'm Matteo Torretta, executive chef of Asola, in the center

of Milan. Today's recipe will be a pasta with

a chickpeas purée, crispy chickpeas and mussels. A traditional memory with a hint

of innovation. With a slightly more modern touch. The ingredients for the recipe:

chickpeas, chickpeas purée, mussels, candied tomatoes, parsley, chili, salt, pepper,

sugar, oil, mussels water, shallot, basil, lemon, garlic and

our gluten-free pasta. Let's start with the recipe. In salted water,

we're adding our pasta. Et voilà! In the meantime, we're preparing our

candied tomatoes. We're taking some cherry tomatoes,

cuttng them in half and place them on a tray, scattering them, together

with basil, shallot, lemon, so they can absorb all of our

fragrances. We're adding sugar, salt, pepper,

extra virgin olive oil. Et voilà! And we're moving it to the oven

at a temperature of 80°C for about 3/4 hours.

While our pasta continues cooking, we're stirring it

lightly. This is a pasta with a strong note of toasted aroma,

of chickpeas smell that reminds of wood. I opened in a simple way

our mussels with garlic, parsley, chili, until we obtain a perfect

mussel, our shell, that is dribbling and poached. In another pan,

on a medium flame, I'm adding chili, oil.

I'm adding a generous handful of the chickpeas I blanched before. Parsley,

mussels water.

Let's continue with our peculiarity: a pasta blanched for 5 minutes

in water, then cooked in the pan as a risotto in mussels water, so that it

can release its organoleptic features, its fragrances and its

flavors. Very important, guys, is the quantity

of our portion, as this pasta has a protein percentage that is

very high, so we're not considering the usual 80-100 gr, but

our portions will be from 50 grams to 70 at most.

Let's start adding our confit tomatoes to give flavor, parsley that

gives that balsamic scent, herbaceous. Extra virgin oil, again, and pepper,

I'd say more than usual again, in this case, as chickpeas are

very good with pepper. As you can see, in the recipe

I didn't use salt. Why? Because I used the sapidity of mussels water,

so the pasta will already have a very important saline mark.

I'm adding a drop of oil again. I'm sautéeing it.

I'm adding our mussels as well, so that they are soft and dribbling. As you can

notice, it's a pasta that is also rich in taste, delicious, yummy. Pasta is ready,

let's plate it. Let's take our chickpeas purée

and spread it better.

We can help ourselves with a ring. We're distributing our pasta in an

unorderly and scattered way. We're adding candied tomatoes on top, in this way.

I'm adding more mussels. I'm taking some cress sprouts, all chefs love

them. A grate of pepper again, et voilà! You've watched my personal

interpretation of pasta with chickpeas and mussels. Enjoy!

HAWK MOTH IRÁ FUNDIR OS MIRACULOUS DO PAVÃO E DA BORBOLETA?? - Duration: 4:54.

Ladybug and Cat Noir are getting stronger. If Hawk Moth doesn't do something fast,

his dream of saving Emilie Agreste will never happen.

The villain has had no luck in the last two seasons, imagine it now that the duo

learned how to fuse their miraculous?

But the butterfly guy does not sleep on duty. He already has plans to get stronger than the heroes,

and the peafowl's miraculous is involved. How will this work? Did he learn how to fix the jewel?

Stay right where you are because everything will be explained by Pamy in My Favorite Show.

Remember the episode Syren, when Hawk Moth realized that Lady and Cat had awakened new powers

and right after that he forced Nooroo to confess how to get them?

The villain could not get anything out of the poor kwami

because only the guardians have the knowledge of creating magic potions.

In Sapotis, when Renna Rouge appeared, he found out that there were other miraculous in Paris, and possibly a guardian.

In Sandboy, when the Kwamis tried to contact Nooroo, the villain was able to

briefly feel more or less the location of the other Miaculouses.

From there, Gabriel began his silent search for the guardian

and for the various secrets that the miraculous jewels guard.

Snake Noir and Dragon Bug are two confirmed fusions and we could even take a look at their visuals.

But will the two heroes be the only ones to use more than one jewel at the same time?

Or will we also have fusions with Queen Bee, Renna Rouge, Carapace, or even... Hawk Moth and Mayura?

We know that the peafowl's Miraculous is defective and that anyone who uses it can get terribly sick,

or even be in a coma, unless it's a single, temporary use.

But Gabriel has already discovered a lot of new information, he still has the book of miraculous

and is wide-eyed in search of this guardian. Sooner or later, he may discover another secret in his favor.

He can figure out how to fix or use the peacock's miraculous without getting sick.

Or perhaps, by using the butterfly miraculous at the same time as the peafowl,

it can nullify or lessen the side effects caused by Duusu. And who knows?

It may be in this situation that Duusu and Nooroo end up turning against the villain, as I said on the theory of my last video.

But before thinking of conspiracy from kwamis, what will be the powers that... Hawkyura...

Hawkfowl... Papaon...

Wesley?

I couldn't decide of a name yet

what will be the powers that this super villain would bring to the series?

Hawk Moth has the power of transformation. He sends his akuma to his victim

and turns them into a super villain, more or less like the metamorphosis of a butterfly.

Mayura has the power of personification. Some idea or emotion takes the form of an allied creature,

as we were shown on "Heroes' Day Part 2," when she used the despair of her boss

to bring to life an enormous butterfly to be his guardian. The two mixed powers could work like this:

When a person feels strong negative emotions, their feelings can be used to give life to an object.

Jeremy Zag has already confirmed to us that Hawk Moth would become stronger in season three,

and that one of his new powers would be to akumatize objects. So this may be one way of doing that.

By bringing together emotions and powers, even a huge furious Eiffel Tower can become an ally of the villain.

That's crazy!

The theme of this video and the theory of his powers have been suggested by some of our subscribers,

their names will be available in a comment fixed below, so be sure to check it out and leave your comment too!

Did you like this theory? Don't forget to leave your like and share with your friends Miraculers to create even more amazing themes!

A kitty's kissy, and see you next time!

How to Learn English For FREE - Duration: 6:58.

Hi, I'm Vanessa from SpeakEnglishWithVanessa.com.

Can you learn English for free?

Let's talk about it.

Today's video is a little heart to heart conversation between you and me.

I get a lot of emails from English learners who tell me, "Vanessa, I'm so sorry that I

can't buy your courses.

I don't know what I'm going to do."

A lot of these people, maybe you, come from countries that can't make online payments.

Maybe you don't have access to international credit cards like Visa or some of these people

tell me "I'm a student.

I don't have any income right now."

Or "I have three kids.

I have to provide for my family.

I just don't have enough time and money to be able to spend on English."

I understand.

As I mentioned earlier in this vocabulary quiz, I'm frugal.

That means that I'm really careful about what I spend money on.

And especially if your finances are tight, this means that you don't have much money,

you need to be extra careful about what you spend money on.

The question is, can you learn English without spending any money at all?

Yep, totally, but there is a slight qualification.

You need to be extremely motivated, organized, and willing to get outside your comfort zone.

Let's imagine two different scenarios.

Here, we have Chris.

Chris is extremely motivated.

He has three kids so he works hard all day and is saving up to pay for their education.

He really needs to improve his English so that he can get a promotion.

How can he do that for free?

Then we have Anna.

We're going to talk about Anna in just a moment.

Number one, Chris needs to be motivated.

I need to be motivated?

Yes.

He needs to be motivated.

Even when he's had a really long day at work, he still needs to turn on an English podcast

on his way home from work.

Number two, Chris needs to be organized.

I need to be organized?

Yes, he needs to be organized.

Because he doesn't have a teacher or a curriculum guiding him, he needs to create his own plan.

Personally, I think this is one of the most challenging parts of learning English for

free, but you can definitely do it.

Chris needs to plan out his monthly goal.

Maybe his goal is to learn 20 new vocabulary words and improve his accent.

Well, how is he going to do that without a teacher giving him that material?

He needs to go online, probably online, because there's the biggest resources there, and find

some vocabulary lessons, maybe some YouTube videos and study those again and again so

that he can really learn those 20 words.

Then maybe he'll shadow some native speakers' pronunciation so that he can improve his accent.

This takes organization.

Number three, Chris needs to get outside his comfort zone.

I have to get outside my comfort zone?

Yes, maybe on Saturday there is a local pick up tennis game.

Pick up means it's a spontaneous game amongst people who maybe they're friends but maybe

they're strangers and there are some international people who go to this pick up tennis game

every Saturday.

Chris needs to get outside his comfort zone and take the courage to have a quick conversation

with them, maybe some small talk before and after the game.

This is his only chance to use English with someone else who doesn't speak his native

language, so he needs to get outside his comfort zone and try those new things.

Let's go on to our second scenario.

Our second scenario is Anna.

Anna decides not to go out to eat for a whole month and not to buy any clothes so that she

can save every penny for an English class.

I understand that not everyone can do this, but Anna believes that she can so she's going

to give it a try.

Anna decides to enroll in a local English class.

On her first day in the class, she realizes, though, that the teacher just lectures the

whole time and the other students aren't at her level.

So she decides to drop out of the class and search online for something that will be a

good fit for her.

Then she finds my course, The Fearless Fluency Club.

To succeed and improve her English, Anna needs the same qualities as Chris but it's a little

bit different.

Number one, she needs to be motivated.

I need to be motivated?

Yes, she needs to be motivated.

She had to go online and try to find a course that was a good fit for her.

But now that she has the course, she can just follow the material.

Number two, Anna needs to be organized.

I need to be organized?

Yes, she needs to be organized.

Remember Chris?

He had to look all over the internet to find the lessons that he wanted and to create his

own study plan.

But Anna, she can just follow my recommended study guide with the new lessons that she

receives every month.

She needs to plan and organize her time so that she can study them but she doesn't need

to spend time finding the material and organizing how to study it.

Number three, Anna needs to get out of her comfort zone.

I have to get out of my comfort zone?

Yes, she has to get out of her comfort zone.

She wants to improve her speaking so she needs to speak.

But she doesn't have to really search too hard to find someone to speak with because

members of The Fearless Fluency Club often speak to each other each week or sometimes

daily and practice together.

Anna still needs to get out of her comfort zone to talk with those people but she doesn't

need to worry about finding someone to speak with.

So in conclusion, do you think it's easier to learn for free like Chris or with a course

like Anna?

Well, it's a little bit easier with a course because you have a guide and a teacher to

give you feedback, but Chris can still succeed.

If you are Chris, you can still succeed.

You need to be motivated, organized, and willing to get out of your comfort zone.

In fact, Anna needs to do those things too.

If you don't have money to pay for an English course, I hope that this video helped you

to realize that you can be like Chris and you can improve your English.

You're here on YouTube.

Right?

You're learning for free right now.

So now I have a question for you.

I want to know in the comments, have you ever paid for an English course like Anna?

Or are you learning for free like Chris?

Thanks so much for learning English with me and I'll see you and you and you next Friday

VILLA ABBANDONATA RICCA DI TESORI [Urbex Italia] Ep.3 - Duration: 10:25.

Look at this bed and this cradle

imagine it just abandoned ...

Guys, do you realize how many paintings there are here?

This is a note written in 1924

VILLA DEL MATEMATICO TUSCANY, DECEMBER 2018 (Part 3 of 4)

This is the last calendar: 2003

15 years

There are not too much , but it is reduced just bad

Azkaban, I've never seen the film, do not insult me

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. How many? They are 3

They should be 7 or 8. In my opinion there are all of them

That's mouse poop. Is this rat poop? beautiful!

All right

here is something from '93

Painting Trophy

Guide to the exhibition

Yes

I can not turn the pages because I have gloves

All right... I'm upset by this

In my opinion there are only 3

Because it has been abandoned since 2003 and the others were written later

Could be. He finished the collection otherwise he would have bought them all

There is also a book about the story of the church

There was also a missal from there

He was passionate about anything

... of religion ... of art ... of nature ...

everything related to art

he liked it

What a bad noise

Guys is ....

Beautiful, there are no other words

that's gorgeous!

this was a bathroom, empty.

Davide? tell me

What's this?

Spiritual gift. is it like a gospel?

Perhaps they were prayers

maybe they are the ones you read before you sleep

I do not know... this is from 2002 ... it's an agenda

there are also written things. Oh yeah

Riddle? it's Harry Potter's

Tom Riddle ... Here are all his notes

let's close it because there are also phone numbers

Prayer ...

of the Parrocchiano? Maybe he was one of the sons ...

maybe

it is absurd to find all these things

Here is our worst enemy: the balance

let's see the other rooms.

however here we stay all afternoon

there's too much stuff. however we are happy to have understood the history of the place

here there are other rooms

this is a disengagement

is this a fridge?

It looks like a closet. with the key?

mah

a white canvas

Ah OK

what's this? They are bird feathers

there will have been a war between animals

Those are the colors he used to paint? Yes

Are they tempers? No, it's acrylics

Acrylics? Yes, yes

You realize??? It is fantastic

it's really absurd

But how many things are there in this villa?

I can not believe it

look at how many things, it's absurd

it's really absurd

these trunks are full of other things

yes, they are very full

there is another collection of butterflies

cockroaches, beetles .... Turn off the light

come here

Look, they're all insects

there is a reflection of my hair.

Yes, yes..

there are paintings everywhere

is fantastic

this person took his whole life to paint these pictures

and, unfortunately, they stayed here

It's really sad

Are they x-rays? No, they are negative of photos

Also here

They are landscapes, there are no people

there is a horse and a carriage

there? I would like to go there, but I can not pass

I want to see this box

They are chalks and ...

I can not remember the name

in English they are called "Crayon"

the ... wax crayons !!! Ah OK

brushes ... the ink !!!

artists lived here, not a mathematician

ink !!!

these windows? to let the light enter the other rooms

look what they did .. what?

carved the wood .. But this is the Tower of Pisa?

see if the year is written

look back

no...

how cool this place is ... Do you want to know something?

there's my neighbor ...

he also did these things with wood

I have so many at my house, then I will show you

ok ... it really matters to those who watch the video

I show them to them too!

all these books are new

is absurd... Davide, have you seen?

Every time I try to continue, Elisa calls me

in this room we must waste time

Beautiful, you are right, are all wax crayons? Yes...

when I was a child, I used them too. I was scarce, but I tried

when I was a child I used a beautiful technique

I used first a light color to make the background

for example: yellow, pink, orange

red, purple ...

I used all colors up to black

and then I would draw with a toothpick

and the drawing came with all the colors I had used

what a good girl ...

these are letters, look

really? Yes, letters and postcards

What's written? "Dear Dad

we come back now to be gone from the station to get Aunt Maria

you can imagine our joy in seeing her again after 2 years "

Wow ... Life was very different in those days

seen what I found?

the Smorfia

what? The Neapolitan Smorfia, the numbers of the bingo

23: the fool You were right that he came from the south

Yes, I told you so

22: the madman 16 should be the ass

no ... the naked woman

it's there the ass !!!

ah 16

but that's 21, I can not read any more

however, 71 is the most beautiful

the shitty man

there is also in English: the Shitty man

I do not believe it!!! these are the folders of the tombola

they are to be cut out, it was new

they never played it

how many things we are finding

It seems the house of the accumulator seen in Veneto, do you remember?

Yes, it's true. It was full of objects

at least here you can understand the story

if they did not arrest us ...

if the carabinieri would not have taken us ...

guys, write in the comments

if you like that we look for information

and we look at all the objects

or if the video is noisy because we are too slow

let us know because, thanks to your criticism, we improve our videos

and leave a "like" and a comment

let's go here

this room is too dark, I have to turn on the light

there is a wheelchair ... it's true... So, my hypothesis is this:

the father lived in this house.

the daughters, when he was in a wheelchair,

they came here to tidy him up

and they stayed here. And they were the ones who did not have heirs

maybe ... maybe ...

I think you are right

here too there are paintings

this is a picture

maybe him when he was young

maybe, he liked motor racing

so, recapitulating, he was the mathematician

in my opinion, this house belonged to several families,

among these the mathematician lived there

many people with many passions

we are careful because it is very dangerous

they put a beam, look at the floor ...

let's be careful. we walk slowly

Impressionist Gouache Background - Duration: 5:41.

Hey everybody! In today's video I'm going to do a quick impressionist style

gouache background on some watercolor paper to get the look that you see here

on this card. I also will be on the My Sweet Petunia

blog today with this adorable new die set from My Favorite Things so be sure

and head over there. I'll include a link. I have a paper plate set up here and I'm

using some Arteza gouache for my background today. You can

also see my grocery list on the mat. I've got a lot going on this week so this is

just real life! Gouache is a sort of a hybrid product between watercolor and

acrylic paint. I don't typically paint with gouache because I like transparent

mediums, but what's cool about it is since it has some of the properties of

both watercolor and acrylic paint it can make some fun effects for your

backgrounds. So I have a piece of watercolor paper here

and I also have a very wet sea sponge. I like the texture that a sea sponge

brings as opposed to a synthetic sponge, and I've also put a little bit of water

onto the plate, and you'll see that in some ways this does go down onto wet

watercolor paper like watercolor, you'll see it spread out like watercolor does

but the acrylic component of it gives it an opacity that is really nice for

layering like I'm going to be doing here.

I've chosen one of their neon colors the neon pink because I think that always

looks so good with the orange and I'm just going to build up a series of

colors that layer on top of each other and then I'm going to sort of blend them

into the impressionistic look with a little bit of titanium white. I like the

irregularity of this sponge and I'm just using one small sponge for this whole

thing it's okay if some of the colors mix on

the sponge, I'm just sort of folding it over to find a new place. One of the

things that I loved about Monet is if you look closely at one of his paintings

you can see hundreds and hundreds of different colors whereas if you step

back from his paintings you'll see they're dominated by one or two colors

like a purple or a pink, if you're looking at his water lily paintings or

the haystacks but he puts a lot of different colors into his paintings and

then softens them down which is the look I'm going for. So I put the blue on and

because it has that water media property I can remove some of that and make it a

little bit less intense just with a paper towel,

and I'm also using the paper towel to apply the titanium white to soften some

of the darker areas of this little background.

There's another reason that I did this on watercolor paper. Obviously I'm using

a water medium and I'm using water so that makes sense but I'm also going to

be embossing with the die into this paper and I've found that that works

better with watercolor paper or cotton paper and so I knew that I wanted to

have a watercolor friendly background and gouache seemed like the perfect

thing. This is great because you can get these big sets of this gouache, and one of

the things that you need to remember about gouache is you can't save it in a

palette like you can watercolor. Watercolor you can rewet endlessly but

because this has an acrylic component only squeeze out as much as you're going

to use because it won't be usable after that, so it's nice that Arteza has a

nice big collection box that you can buy that has a ton of colors in it and it's

a reasonable price. I will have a coupon code for you over on my blog this week

so check that out after you're done here. So once again I lighten the blue a

little bit to make it more harmonious with the other more pastel colors and

you can see I'm using a lot more white than I'm using anything else, and then I

go smooth it all out with the white. I wanted to be sure and leave the center

with the lightest of colors here because before embossing this with a die I am

going to be stamping a sentiment right across that middle section and so I

wanted to leave that lighter so there was a little bit more contrast that

you'll see in the finished project. This dries very quickly so it makes for

a fun technique you don't have to sit around and wait on, and this is what the

background looks like embossed with that beautiful little heart die. Here's what

the card looks like in a little less close-up because the embossing is hard

to see. This is the Nugget tag that I made with the new dies and this is what

the back looks like. It comes with the die so that people can pop out their

little treat. So head over to my blog for more information on this, and thanks so

much for watching!

Tanki Online V-LOG: Episode 199 - Duration: 6:59.

In today's episode we'll be discussing the status of overdrives.

We'll also be telling you about development plans for this year,

and challenging you with a Mega VLOG Stunt.

Hello tankers!

Holidays are over and we're all back to school, or work.

So, how's it going for you?

And how's it going with the challenge?

Tell us in the comments below!

Last week, we promised you that in upcoming episodes

we'd be sharing more development news with you,

and telling you more about overdrives.

Sooooo… it's not looking good.

Overdrives are still causing problems.

With each new test we run, we're finding more bugs to squish

We know many of you are eagerly awaiting this new feature.

The few who aren't, either don't know about it,

or still haven't understood just how cool Overdrives will be for the game.

But while you wait, here's some new information,

specifically related to Viking's Overdrive

the increased firing rate.

It turns out this effect

will not be as crazy as we saw in episode 194 of the V-LOG,

due to technical issues with displaying too many shot effects,

which is decreasing FPS.

So we've had to tone it down.

That said, the increased firing rate

will still be enough to wipe out an enemy base or a crowd of tanks on a gold box.

Moreover, we're compensating for the reduced firing rate

with a significant increase in damage for the duration of the overdrive's active time.

Let's all be patient and wait together!

And let's hope the gods of coding decide to smile upon our programmers soon.

Global development plans.

There are loads of ideas flying around here,

with new and interesting proposals for both gameplay and visuals.

But we'll be talking about them later, when we get closer to the actual releases.

Our main goal for Tanki this year

is to minimize the number of tankers playing the Flash version,

and get them to shift to the HTML5 and mobile versions.

To do this, we need to improve the html5 version

to a point where it is far superior to Flash.

At the same time,

we'll be updating the game interface in the browser version,

because it's been long overdue.

Then we'll be able to implement the optimization developments from TO Mobile

into the desktop version.

This should improve performance significantly.

And by that we mean an improvement of 2X or more.

Some of you may have noticed a tiny mistake in one of our Drone descriptions,

or rather, an inaccuracy.

The Engineer drone

not only increases the active time for any supplies that you pick up.

When you grab a supply box,

all teammates on the map will ALSO get the powerup for a brief time.

Cool!

The mistake has already been fixed, so now the description is correct

If you've been playing Tanki for any length of time,

you're probably familiar with the Beginner's Tips that show up while a battle is loading.

Here's where we need your help.

We want to include even more tips on this loading screen.

Do you have a special gameplay tactic that you've learned from experience?

Or maybe an unusual way to perform a common maneuver?

Share it with us and let's help educate new tankers together.

Submit your ideas in the special form.

The link is in the V-LOG's description.

Video of the Week.

Last time we gave you the freedom to shoot anything you please,

but you had to do it on a winter map while wearing the Black paint.

Let's watch the best video!

For next time, you're going to have to undertake a MEGA VLOG STUNT!

Here's your task.

On the matchmaking version of the Future map,

launch as many tanks as you can onto the tallest building.

The more tanks you get on the building, and the higher you get them,

the better your chances of winning.

Each tank that lands on the building

is worth a number of points depending on where it lands.

Tanks on the lowest level are worth one point.

Those that land on the mid-level are worth three.

And finally, those that make it to the topmost level are worth five points.

Let's say a team has 5 participants.

Two of the tanks reach the topmost level,

two reach the mid level, and one lands on the lowest level.

This gives the team 17 points in total.

Here's one more example…

and another one...

The team with the most points at the end, wins.

Now the rules:

Use regular gravity

Team size is limited by the map's capacity - 16 people.

So in theory, the maximum number of points you can get is eighty

if you participate with 16 tanks and get them all on the topmost level.

The video must show the whole process of performing the trick.

There is no time limit for the video, but please try not to make it too long.

All team members and their nicknames should be clearly visible

so that the organizers can calculate points accurately.

It is forbidden to use the Plasma Torch Alteration on Ricochet.

Deadline for the videos is 9:00 am UTC on January 23rd.

That's a Wednesday.

Remember, no need to rush.

This time, the number of points is all that matters.

Now, the reward.

The team that scores the highest number of points

will receive ONE MILLION crystals to share between themselves,

plus a weekly container for each tanker in the team.

So if you've got the guts to try it with a team of five tankers and actually win,

you'll be getting 200 thousand crystals each.

But that won't be easy.

Anyway, the detailed rules are in the special form.

The link is in the description.

Good luck!

That's all for this episode, tankers!

Remember, the Challenge is ending soon, so keep collecting those stars.

See ya!

Last week, Hammer fired at three tanks simultaneously.

You had to guess in which sequence the tanks would explode.

The correct answer is C... B... A.

That's option F.

Let's welcome our winners and watch the new question!

How many shots will it take to destroy Mammoth?

Minnesota and Wisconsin Compared - Duration: 8:36.

Foam rolling routine for swimmers. Recover faster - Duration: 3:45.

If you have a foam roll or are considering buying one, but you don't know how to use

it or how it can help, this video is for you.

Here is a short routine you can follow to release tight muscles.

But first let's understand what foam rollingdoes, how it helps and what mistakes to avoid.

If you want to skip to the routine go to this minute in the video.

When you swim you muscles constantly break down.

As Coach Jeff from runnersconnect.net explains

"Over time this causes the muscles to become tight when the fascia, the connective tissue

that surrounds the muscles, starts to thicken and shorten to protect the underlying muscle

from further damage.

Sometimes the fibers and fascia contract so much they form trigger points, which manifest

as sore spots needing to be released."

"Foam rolling, also known as myofascial release, is the application of pressure to

eliminate scar-tissue and soft-tissue adhesion by freeing up your fascia."

So, now that we understand what it does, it is important to avoid these common mistakes.

Firstly, don't foam roll too much in one place.

This can cause bruising and can create further damage to the tissue.

Go a maximum of 20 seconds on each area.

Secondly, don't foam roll directly on an injured area.

Go lightly on the area of pain.

Sometimes the area where you feel pain is not the problem.

For example, sometimes my knees hurt and it is because my quads are really tense.

So work on the surrounding areas and opposite group of muscles.

Thirdly, don't foam roll too quickly.

Sometimes if it hurts you want to foam roll quickly on that area, but it works better

if you do it slowly.

Having said that let's do a full body foam rolling routine.

We will start from the bottom.

Sit down and roll slowly on your calves.

You can put more weight on your leg if you want more pressure.

Then after you do each ankle go to your hamstrings.

Our glutes often get tense too, so try doing this.

Then work on the quads.

First do it straight down, then go a little to one side and then to the other.

Roll slowly on the trigger points.

You'll notice them when you get there.

The abdomen and lower back are vulnerable because there is no rib cage, so we will move

up to the upper back.

Move your arms as you do this to target different areas.

Finally, go to your lats.

This muscle gets really tense, specially for swimmers.

Remember go slowly and move your arm to target different points.

If you want to buy a foam roller like this one, I'll leave a link in the description.

And If you want one of our swim caps visit skillswimming.com or click here:

See you there!

Swim fast!

Can Hawking's Black Hole Paradox Be Solved With Fuzzballs? - Duration: 5:05.

So admittedly, we don't have a lot of concrete information about black holes.

We have a lot of ideas, but we've mostly been quite literally shooting in the dark

when it comes to figuring out what would happen if you went in one.

Now, some theoretical revelations open up a new line of thinking, and all I can say

is whooo boy here we go--black holes and string theory, time to rock'n'roll!

Let's review the pieces: black holes are objects in space that are seemingly infinitely

dense and swallow everything, including all kinds of radiation, including visible light.

Past their event horizon, or the point past which you can't escape their pull, they're

so dense they seem to warp gravity.

And theoretically, they have a point inside them called their gravitational singularity:

the point where that density coalesces into its infinite-ness and space and time as we

know them no longer exist.

Ok, casual.

Then we have string theory, which unifies our conflicting understandings of the quantum

world and gravity.

In the string theory, the particles we think make up the standard model of physics are

actually all just the same kind of string, vibrating at different resonances to give

each 'particle-like entity' its unique characteristics.

Black holes are also gravitational puzzles, so string theory seems like a natural fit

for helping us understand how they work.

Because that's the thing about black hole singularities, too.

The point at which time and space cease to exist has obviously never been physically

observed, it's just the point at which our math breaks down.

Which is also the point where we start to identify paradoxes presented by black holes,

and the many theories that set out to resolve those paradoxes...start to get a little wild.

We're still constrained by the math we DO have.

The way we primarily try to describe the physics of the world is through the laws of conservation,

things that can neither be created nor destroyed under the conventional laws of the observable

universe...like information.

In this context, information means quantum information--the characteristics of a particle

that make it what it is.

Its fingerprint, if you will.

And black holes, those tricky guys, present problems because they seem to subvert at least

one of these--the law of conservation of information.

Resulting in the information paradox, first put forward by Stephen Hawking.

See, black holes are supposed to swallow everything that gets too close because they're so dense,

but Hawking showed that they're also radiating energy.

This thermal radiation, which we now call Hawking radiation, means black holes could

eventually waste away to nothing, radiating out all the energy and matter that went into

them....but none of this matter would contain its original information, meaning all that

information is just gone forever, violating that law of conservation.

And this leads to many fun lines of inquiry.

Since black holes were discovered in 1916, physicists have been trying to figure out

what would happen if you went in one, like with your human body.

Y'know, 'cause they're quirky like that.

Theorists a few years back put forward a new idea that actually resulted in the identification

of another related paradox.

The prevailing idea has been the 'no drama' theory, where if you're an astronaut who

crosses the event horizon of a black hole, you wouldn't notice.

Until you reach the singularity, that is, and you are quite suddenly 'spaghettified'

by the impossibly intense gravitational pull.

Which sounds very pleasant indeed.

But then where did you go?

To try and rectify the information paradox, physicists have put forward a newer, more

dramatic theory about what happens to you--the firewall.

They argue that you, the astronaut, must be incinerated as you pass the event horizon

and that's how your information is conserved.

Cue the fuzzball.

By replacing the particles in a black hole with strings, you get a theoretical black

hole model called...a fuzzball.

Very scientific.

Instead of the membrane of an event horizon, past which you'd get pulled into a point

of infinite density, the fuzzball model has no event horizon, and no singularity.

It's...a fuzzy ball.

A tangled ball of strings that looks a little more like a planet than our current typical

imaginings of a black hole.

And those strings, vibrating with the possibilities of multiple dimensions, make up a hot, vibrating

extremely dense mass that would incinerate you on impact.

This is where the string theory fuzzball model of black holes and the relatively new firewall

paradox meet and may have common ground--some theorists think the firewall is the hot fuzzball.

And are very put out that it took the rest of the physics community so long to catch

up.

But here's the thing.

All of this is conjecture.

Big conversations are still happening in the physics community about how to think about

black holes and the many problems they pose.

String theory is still just a theory.

And the applications of string theory in this particular case are very general--in any of

these models, we still don't have any clear way that the information of that astronaut

entering a black hole is conserved and then recycled...but string theory is a fun--and

useful--voice in the loud symphony that is theoretical astrophysics.

While we're speaking, scientists are hard at work taking the first photo of a black

hole that would totally change the way we think about all of this.

So where's the photo, you ask?

We've got a video all about that here.

Don't forget to subscribe to seeker for all your black hole needs, and I'll see

you next time on Seeker.

T-Shirt English Shorts 1: Obsolete Technologies - Duration: 3:16.

Hi everybody, welcome to RAD English and, let's see what's on my t-shirt today.

Okay so here is a floppy disk. A floppy disk. And this is an old way to store

data from computers. In the middle, a VHS. VHS stands for

Video Home Systems.

But normally we just say a video or a video cassette. Next to that, a tape. A tape, or

you can say a tape cassette. Or you can say a cassette tape. And underneath

it says never forget. Never forget - always remember. So why does it say never forget?

Well it's because these types of Technology are now old. So here's a word

for you: These types of Technology are obsolete. Obsolete.

Obsolete is an adjective, and it's an adjective to describe a type of

technology which is no longer used. For example, if you have a computer and it's

running Windows 93, then I'm afraid your operating system is obsolete. You can

still use it in your house, but if you want to download any new software or try

a new game, it won't work, because Windows 93 is obsolete. And here's something else

that's obsolete. In this box is my old mini disc player. This is a mini disc player,

and I've got also lots of these mini discs.

Minidiscs. I used to listen to mini disks before I had an mp3 player.

I bought this minidisc player in about 1998 and I used it until around 2003.

And now I don't use it because, it's obsolete. Nobody uses a minidisc player because

everybody has mp3 players.

So that's it for this episode of learn some words on

my t-shirt. In the comments below, as a homework, tell me if you have any

obsolete technology in your house. Do you have any obsolete technology? let me know.

Bye. : ) Rob.

Arsenal told to take serious action over transfers because club are 'an absolute joke' - Duration: 2:38.

That's according to former Chelsea star Craig Burley who has hit out at the Arsenal transfer policy

Arsenal handed Mesut Ozil the biggest contract in club history last year - he is now on £350,000-a-week - but is now frequently left out the matchday squad

What's more, boss Unai Emery has admitted the club can only do loan deals this month because the cash isn't there for permanent signings

"They gave him a contract and now they're saying we can only bring loan players in in January," Burley raged on ESPN

"I don't think January's a great time to sign players, the odd time it is, but if there's no money for Unai Emery in the summer then the fans want to get on that board because they're a joke

An absolute joke." Emery has insisted Ozil is still in his plans despite not making the 18-man squad for last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at West Ham

Discussing whether the German could leave, Emery said: "I am not thinking about that

I am thinking about how he can help us. "He has helped us sometimes this year with good performances and others not good

After these two weeks working, maybe he can be okay for us."  Although Emery has admitted the pair have held talks to discuss the situation

"I've spoken to him because I want consistency," he added. "He's had injuries and these injuries mean sometimes he is okay and sometimes he isn't okay

"I want every player to give the same work everyday to be okay for every match. With Mesut it's the same

He didn't play the last matches but to me he is just like any other player. "This Saturday he can be with us if he's okay

Now? He's training consistently with his work over the past two weeks and I think he can be

Minnesota and Wisconsin Compared - Duration: 8:36.

The (Simple) knife for Shoemaking Craft [Multi Use] - Duration: 5:16.

In shoemaking craft, there are so many different knives that

you can use to make your shoes, but in this shoemaking making me video I

want to show you one simple knife that you can buy in your local store that

will help you in your craft. I want to show you how to sharpen this

knife because it's super important to have sharp knives.

Don't forget to subscribe and click the bell to be notified when my new video

will come out, so let's see how to do it.

In your shoemaking craft you need to cut different materials:

cardboards, leather.

So to cut all these different materials you can have a special knife,

but you actually can work only with one knife,

the utility knife that you can buy in your local store to cut all these

materials. I work with this knife,

the utility knife. What is important here is to have good

blade. The blade that I use in my work is BD

100. This Japanese blade it's an excellent

blade with very sharp edge, but what happens is that the edge of his

blade gets blunt very frequently. So I need to change this blade very

often and to use it in your craft, you should have a big amount of the

blades. So now I want to show you this,

the craft idea that will help you in your craft,

so you will not need to change your blade very often.

Now I want to show you how to sharpen the edge of your blade that you will use

in utility, what you place in utility knife.

To sharpen the blade you should have sandpaper with grid number 180.

Cut small piece of this sandpaper and attach it to some piece of wood like

this one and attach with nails to change it.

Place it almost flat to the surface of sandpaper and lift it a little bit to

create an angle of 30 degrees

and than sharpen it like this. Once

You will sharpen this side of the blade, then turn over and place it in the same

angle, and sharpen

the other surface

of your blade. It's enough to make few strokes,

to have very sharp edge of your blade. After you sharpen the edge of your

blade, you will be able to work with this

blade. It is very sharp when you can card

boards or leather, and if you will break the edge of the

blade. Don't change it.

You still can sharpen it. So sharpen it until you will have enough

space on the edge to cut it to use it. Okay,

and then just break it here to change the

blade and you will have sharp edge again.

And after it will become blunt, sharpen

it and work with this blade in your craft.

If you don't have this blade and you have ordinary blade like

this one, you also

can sharpen it working with sandpaper in the same

way. Place it almost flat,

make few strokes on the sandpaper attached to the piece

of wood,

and than cut card boards very easy or leather.

That's it. I post new shoemaking tutorial every

week. Make sure to subscribe to my channel and

Click the bell to get notified when my new video comes out.

Thank you. See you in the next video.

Bye.

Mohamed Salah: Why Barcelona are BANNED from signing Liverpool hero in January - Duration: 2:37.

Mohamed Salah has been linked with European heavyweights throughout his time at Liverpool after a sensational 2018 for the forward star

Now the Egyptian hero has been tipped to join Barcelona or Real Madrid by fellow countryman Mido

The former Tottenham striker insists Liverpool will have a tough time holding onto their prized asset if the La Liga giants firm up their interest

The January transfer window is now officially open but Salah will not be making a move to Barcelona as they are prohibited from buying any of the Reds' stars

Liverpool inserted a clause in the deal that took Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona stating that no more players could swap Anfield for the Nou Camp until 2021

The only way the clause can be broken is if Barcelona pay an additional £89million on top of any transfer fee they agree with the Reds

Therefore, it is extremely unlikely that the Catalan giants will consider a move for Salah, especially during this January window

However, Mido still believes it is only a matter of time before they come knocking for Liverpool's main man

He told CNN: "You never know in football. If Barcelona or Real Madrid come for you your head is going to flip, all the players are like that

"Barcelona and Real Madrid are different – no disrespect to Liverpool. "I think Barcelona and Real Madrid were waiting to see how Salah would do this season; they don't buy players after only one good or great season

"I think if Salah scores 25-plus goals, I think they will come for him and it will be difficult for Liverpool to keep him," he added

Salah has already recorded 13 Premier League goals this season with 18 games left to play
