Beyoncé may be a proverbial queen, but that doesn't mean she's above throwing a little
shade every now and then.
Get your band-aids ready, here are just some of the celebrities that Queen Bey has stung.
Ouch.
Tiffany Haddish
You can always expect a good joke, or at least a juicy story, from Girls Trip actress Tiffany
Haddish.
Unfortunately, her loose lips regarding a story involving the notoriously private Lemonade
crooner caught her some major shade from the queen herself in 2018.
In a February 2018 episode of TV One's Uncensored, Haddish recalled how Beyoncé shut down an
unnamed actress who touched husband Jay-Z's chest after his concert.
"I was talking to Jay-Z for a little bit.
And there was another actress that was there and she, and she touched Jay-Z's chest and
Beyoncé came walking up."
Haddish went on to explain: "… her demeanor, her body from the way she walked up on her
was like, 'Get your hands off my man's chest.'"
Though she told the story in a joking manner, it prompted an apparent clapback from Beyoncé
through DJ Khaled's "Top Off," which was released just weeks later.
On the track, she rapped:
"If they're tryna party with the queen / They gon' have to sign a non-disclosure."
No hard feelings here though, as Haddish later said on Twitter that she would be happy to
oblige.
And, honestly… who wouldn't?
Destiny's Child
If there's anything we all can agree on, it's that Beyoncé was, hands down, the leader
of '90s girl group Destiny's Child.
Behind the scenes, however, Kelly Rowland was the "second lead vocalist."
At least, that's what she said in an old interview, per Business Insider.
Following this grandiose claim, Beyoncé quickly leaned forward to give her a surprised look
before coughing and rolling her eyes.
While fellow bandmate LeToya Luckett maintained the moment wasn't as shady as people thought
in a 2014 interview with MTV News, you can't deny the scathing look Beyoncé gave former
Destiny's Child member Farrah Franklin in another old interview after she said, well…
"Kelly and Beyoncé and I became friends.
And, when push came to shove, I was able to sing and dance."
Judging by Bey's facial expression though, she disagreed.
The Jackson family
Every celebrity has their foot-in-mouth moment, and Beyoncé's came in a 2008 interview with
Elle magazine while promoting her third solo studio album, I Am…Sasha Fierce.
After detailing her upper-class upbringing, the "Sweet Dreams" singer said:
"We're African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we're like The
Jacksons.
But I didn't have parents using me to get out of a bad situation."
Janet Jackson apparently didn't take the comment too well.
A source told the National Enquirer that the "All For You" crooner didn't understand why
her family was brought into the conversation to begin with, explaining:
"Janet wanted to know why Beyoncé had to mention her family.
They're not friends and barely know each other.
She feels Beyoncé went out of her way to tell the world she's from the upper class
and the Jacksons were like a bunch of dirty gutter rats."
Yikes.
Kim Kardashian
If reports are to be believed, the relationship between Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé has been
totally messy.
"Beyoncé, and maybe even Jay-Z, not a fan of Kim Kardashian."
Though they've been spotted together publicly on various occasions, from award shows to
concerts, it's been heavily speculated that Bey isn't that fond of Kardashian.
In 2012, an insider told the New York Daily News that Beyoncé ignored the reality TV
star during the Made in America Festival at which both Jay-Z and Kanye West performed.
She was also a "no-show" at Kardashian's first baby shower, as reported by Cosmopolitan,
despite having been invited.
She was also nowhere in sight when her longtime friend Kanye West married Kardashian, with
a source telling the Daily Mail that "she didn't really want to go."
For what it's worth, Kardashian and West have both pushed back on the beef rumors, with
the latter even insisting that Beyoncé has gotten inspiration from his wife.
While Beyoncé has never explicitly discussed her relationship with Kardashian, she seemingly
threw shade at the beauty mogul and her famous derrière in 2018 on the track "Top Off,"
in which she bragged about breaking the internet herself, an apparent reference to Kardashian's
infamous "Break The Internet" Paper cover, and having a, quote, "real" body.
Oof.
Donald Trump
While former President Barack Obama basks in the love of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, President
Donald Trump hasn't been so lucky.
"You don't take the trash out."
"You know, as those things grow, you create a 'superbug,' and then now we have Donald
Trump, the superbug!"
Aside from his many controversial policies and stances, Trump has taken aim at Mr. and
Mrs. Carter on various occasions.
In 2018 alone, the business mogul blasted Jay-Z after the rapper criticized derogatory
comments Trump reportedly made about other countries.
According to CNN, he also slammed Jay-Z for his language during a 2016 rally in support
of then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, calling his lyrics "filthy" …
"I actually like Jay-Z, but you know the language last night.
Ohhh…"
… and he implied that he was more popular than the Carters, declaring that he draws
bigger crowds, according to The New York Times.
Spoiler alert: he was wrong.
Evidently, the Carters are tired of Trump speaking ill of them because Jay-Z took a
swipe at Trump on the 2018 track "SALUD!", a bonus song from his joint album with Beyoncé,
Everything Is Love.
Seemingly on behalf of him and his wife, he rapped: "Your president is tweeting 'bout
Hov like he know us."
