What I love about your character in this movie so much,
is she really represents this conflict between perception
and identity for the characters.
Have you ever had that inner conflict?
Oh, God, I think I feel that every day.
I mean, don't we all? Don't you?
It's just sort of like,
who do I want to be today
and what does it mean? And who am I going to be for
whom and what and why
and what do I want and what does the world want
and I just want to go back to bed. At least when I think about my work in terms of
what is success to me.
I think about it mostly when I do a play,
and you know we think, oh, there's just an audience of living
breathing humans out there and what if they don't like it?
But what if one person does.
Just one person walks away from this having a

When you were growing up,
who was your superhero?
Probably my grandmother.
My mother moved away from
where I was born when I was really young,
and so I had to be parted from my grandparents
and we were at their house all the time.
And they practically raised us
and so and you know she's just a wonderful woman
and always so kind
and you know never not kind,
before she's anything else so I always admired her,
so much. I still do.
