Drunken neighbors roll large boulder in front of geologist's car - Daily News - Duration: 3:10.
A California woman got the ultimate revenge on her neighbors who parked a large boulder in front of her car.
Melissa Scruggs, a geologist studying a PhD, came out to her car to find her 'drunken' neighbors had rolled a large sandstone boulder in front of it.
The position of the boulder would have made it difficult for her to maneuver out of a parking spot.
But her neighbors forgot she is a 'tiny geologist' who managed to drill the massive stone down using an auto-chipper.
In a tweet which went viral and garnered much reaction, she wrote: 'In which my asshat neighbors decided to be complete drunken fecalwads by rolling a giant boulder in front of my car, but forgot that I am a tiny who has access to a VERY loud auto-chipper at 7:30 am: a story in 4 pictures.'
She then posted several pictures of her wearing protective gear as she uses the auto-chipper to decimate the large boulder into tiny pieces.

Social media users found her problem-solving attempt hilarious and thousands of comments and memes ensued.
One named Elaine Smid wrote: 'If that isn't PhD level problem solving right there, I dunno what is. Give this tiny geologist a doctorate!'
Another claimed: 'I think I'd be more terrified if it was a silent auto-chipper, and I just woke up to find that you'd crushed that rock with your brain powers.'
She included the hashtags #problemsolving and #NowICanWrite, referring to what appeared to be spelling mistakes in her initial tweet.
Scruggs later claimed she didn't think her action would be the source of so much discussion.
She said: 'WHOA. I had NO idea this was going to blow up so much!! I'm glad my fit of tiny red-headed rage made y'all's day!!
'Neighbor update: I have made eye contact w/ 2 of the guys. One gave me a nod, and the other looked at me with wide eyes like I'm a madwoman.
'I'd like to think that we have reached a mutual understanding.'
Scruggs told Dailymail.com: 'I'm definitely not used to this sort of fame, but I'm hoping to use it to influence future scientists in a positive manner and encourage learning about Earth Science.'

A HANDFUL OF ARUGULA. 70 ML. MILK.
1 GARLIC CLOVE.
And the same measure of milk of oil. Which I'm going to use half that amount of olive oil and half of sunflower oil.
I am doing that so that we don't use all olive oil because it has intense flavour.
We don't want olive oil flavours to be so present in our alioli.
So the amount of oil has to be divided into olive oil and another oil with less intense flavour.
35 ML. OLIVE OIL.
35 ML. SUNFLOWER OIL.
This immediately thickens up.
And let's finish it with a PINCH OF SALT and 1 TSP. LEMON JUICE.
Take a look at this beauty. the thickness is up to you and your preference.
If you thick it's too thick you can add a bit extra of lemon juice.
Hot pan, olive oil.
Now, HALLOUMI CHEESE.
It's important that these cheese do not looses the cold chain.
So it must go directly from the fridge to the pan.
So the shape remains intact and it develops that beautiful characteristic crust.
And in side it will be melted and wonderful.
Lovely crust in the outside and melty heart in the inside!
This is ready!
Now, cherry tomatoes, onions, lots of delicious touch to finish it.
Now, time to add the alioli.
This is melted and hot, and we will add some cool down and crunchy ingredients to surprise our mouths.

Some lovely cherry tomatoes. Because they go wonderful with cheese and arugula.
I have some pickled onions.
You can use caramelized onions or any pickle you like.
Of course we will learn how to prepare pickles.
In future vids. Is important to add a more acid ingredient to balance flavours.

I am your host Rebecca Felgate and today we are talking about the Top 10 Scary Frozen
Theories – Before we jump into this video though – I
want to ask you guys if you are excited for Frozen 2 and what you think will happen in
the Sequel…
I mention one thing on this list that could well happen and if it did…well… it would
be a can of worms!
Stay tuned for that.

10 - The Cell It seems that Elsa's parents weren't so
great after all.
Sure, they kept her in her room, but that was for her own good and her sister's safety…or
so they probably justified it to themselves.
Buuuutttt did they have a much darker plan b.
So this theory centres around the cell in the royal family's castle that Hans locks
Elsa up in.
It has special chains that lock her hands inside special made handcuffs that stop Elsa's
powers.
The only thing that Hans doesn't know about Elsa's hands at this point…so he couldn't
have been the one that commissioned that design feature.
Were Elsa's parents beind the custom cell?
Were they planning on locking their daughter up and stunting her powers if she ever got
out of hand?
If so….that is pretty dark.
9 - Tarzan is Elsa and Anna's Brother Apparently this insane theory has been confirmed!!!
So the theory goes that instead of dying in a Shipwreck as we believed, Elsa and Anna's
parents survive and are washed up on an Island.
Their mother didn't realize she was pregnant when they set sail, but she soon realizes
she is carrying a baby when they reach dry land…their dad, the King of Arendelle, no
longer concerned for titles.. just wants to keep his family alive.
He builds a tree house in the jungle and his wife gives birth to a baby boy – younger
sibling for Elsa and Anna.
Just when you thought that actually this sounded like a way happier ending, let me interject.
They still die.
Instead of drowning in a shipwreck, they are savaged by a leopard.
Which is worse?
Drowning…..or being shredded by a wild cat.
La la la la la….DISNEY!
8 - Joan of Arc Joan of Arc was just 19 years old when she
was burned alive at the stake – a similar age to Elsa and Anna.
In Disney's Frozen, we can see a painting of the fearless Joan of Arc on the wall that
has lead a lot of people to speculate they may be linked.
The theory goes that magic runs in Elsa and Anna's family but manifests in different
ways.
Joan of Arc had visions and may well have been a witch, but she was burned at the stake.
Elsa also has magic in her blood but her ice powers developed as a protection for her skill.
Had Joan had the same powers, she would never have been burned.
When it is ice versus fire - ice will keep you safe….especially when a witch hunt is
on the cards.
7 The Trolls are Evil Traditionally trolls aren't seen as good
guys in literature but in Frozen they seem like friendly fellows.
They raise Kristoff, help Anna and advise her parents.
But wait….
Did they or did they not steal a baby and a reindeer – they could have returned Kristoff
to his family but they didn't.
They also are the inspiration behind Elsa's parents locking her up.
Did they inspire fear in her parents, knowing it would lead Elsa to have a breakdown one
day?
Some even go as far as to say that they turned Hans evil.
The theory generally goes that Hans WAS actually a nice guy when he met Anna and stopped her
falling into a Fjord but after meeting the trolls they made him a bad guy because they
wanted Anna to love Kristoff and not him.
6 - Hans isn't Real So Frozen is based on a book by dark fairytale
author Hans Christian Anderson.
In the story, the ice queen has a mirror that is used to obscure people's perceptions.
The theory here goes that Hans is a play on the mirror of the original story and never
really existed at all.
When he is interacting with other characters he is not really there, he is just reflecting
the mindset of the people he is talking to back at them.
When he first meets Anna, he seems just like her.
Awkward, sweet, dreamy.
When she sees him after her blow out with Anna, she is hurt by her sister and wants
a relationship to heal her, so that's what he is.
There is a moment in which Elsa and Anna exchange glances as she unleashes her power in which
their expressions totally match.
Hans paints Elsa as a monster because she sees herself as a monster.
The theory goes on – its posted in Imgur by TastyBrainMeats…it will mess with your
mind but it is worth a watch….
5 - Anna Has Fire Powers, She Just Hasn't Used them Yet
This theory goes that a sorcerer gave Elsa her powers – whether it was a curse or not
– you decided….
This theory seems to think so.
Anyway both Elsa and Anna were gifted with powers, only Elsa has realized she can use
them.
Elsa has white hair – icy – Anna has red hair – fiery!
Elsa is winter and Anna is summer.
Cool…the only thing is that these powers are…well..powerful/ We already know that
chaos ensued as she Elsa learning to use hers – she accidentally froze people.
I think… in terms of retaining my facial features – I would rather be frozen then
burned.
Can you imagine what will happen when Anna finds she has fire powers?
She could burn all of Arendelle down!
Maybe the Frozen sequel will be called burned and it will focus on Anna's struggle not
to blaze the place.
4 - Arendelle Fought the Clans of Brave Some super deep divers have concluded that
Brave and Frozen not only exist with the same universe, but at around the same time.
Redditor The Jarvey says that Arendell, which is likely on the Norwegian Coast, is a new
settlement that came after a war with the Medieval Scotts.
The theory says that the Kingdom is so sensitive towards Elsa powers because they had a run
in with the sorcerer who used her magic for bad.
The theory also says that the medals worn by Elsa's father and the Duke of Weselton
were gained during the war mentioned in Brave.
It is not nice to think of Disney characters fighting and killing one another, but it could
have happened.
Norway and Scotland do have a lot of historical beef.
3 - Spiderman and Elsa Are Brainwashing Children Elsa practically became the most popular Disney
Princess overnight.
The success if Frozen, however, paved the way for Elsagate….which was a dark Youtube
trend in 2017.
Basically there was a Youtube Channel enacting Spiderman and Elsa fan theory scenes, but
these involved them kissing and him getting her pregnant….which….
well it is confusing for kids really isn't it.
There is a dark theory out there that the channel was specifically aimed at children…which
to be honest doesn't seem like much of a stretch of the imagination considering the
colours of the channel and the way the thumbnails were created.
The darker extension of the theory says that the channel was specifically created by dark
minds with the intention of sexualizing young kids.
Awful.
Luckily the Spiderman Elsa content seems to have died down after Youtube waded in a bit.
2 - Hans escaped and can time travel Hans breaks Anna's heart and tries to murder
Elsa.

Hi guys! My name is Emily. Welcome back to my channel. Today I'm gonna be talking
about 2019 reading aspirations. These are the books that I say I want to read that
I probably will not want to read three days from now. But what I want to do is
actually come back to this video at the, like, halfway point in the year (and maybe
at the end of the year) to see how I'm doing, because right now I have some
specific interests and I'm hoping that I'm able to follow through on those. So
let's start with this first pile here. So I have a couple of things that I'm
interested in right now -- the pillows are attacking me -- one of my things has been
fairy tales for the last little bit. I've been really into fairy tales and I ended
up picking up a couple of collections over the end of last year because of it.
And so I'm just gonna share with you the collections that I want to get to and I
want to get through (opposed to just flipping through). And so one of them is
Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic by Leigh Bardugo. Now I
heard that this is a -- I actually bought this without doing any research. I have
been led to believe that you don't need to read the Grisha Trilogy. But I'm not
sure. The next book I have here is Louise O'Neill, The Surface Breaks a reimagined
Little Mermaid. Let's just take a minute to appreciate
this book. Like, the cover is fantastic, the naked hardback is gorgeous. I bought
this with the money that my grandfather gave me for my birthday.
He would definitely not approve because it's shiny and it's a book and it's not
the Bible. And I want to read it. The next book I have here is Angela Carter's Book
of Fairy Tales. I am excited because Angela Carter is
sort of heralded as this writer of feminist fantasy -- not fantasy -- feminist
fairy tales. I'm excited to read her alongside the original Grimm's. This is a
Complete First Edition The Original Folk and Fairytales of the Grimm Brothers
translated and edited by Jack Zipes, who is a huge name in, like, he's the name
basically in a fairy tale scholarship. I want to read both of these. The next book
I have here is Russian Fairy Tales which has shown up a lot.
I am interested in exploring Russian and more wintery northern fairytales because
I personally find that fascinating and I just want to read through the rest of
this collection. Like, I've been poking at it, but I think it's time to, like, make a
real effort of getting through more of them. So those are the fairy tale books
that I want to get to this year. The next secret stack, whoo! Which I'm not going to
talk about as much number one is Cujo by Stephen King
because one of my lovely co-workers, this was her first Stephen King, and I have
said I'm gonna read it and I should read it so that I could talk about it with
her. I have Dumplin' go big or go home by
Julie Murphy. I have read Puddin and Ramona Blue and I loved them. And I
watched the movie and I want to read the book. I have Son of a Trickster by Eden
Robinson which Hannah McGregor recommended on the podcast Secret
Feminist Agenda. I love Eden Robinson's work. I've read
Monkey Beach by her. She is an Indigenous author and this is the start of a new
trilogy. Also, I have bought this to buddy read with my best friend so that we can
stay in touch while she's off in Ottawa being a professional and I'm here. And so
I'm looking forward to buddy reading this with her. I also have on Hannah
McGregor's recommendation The Marrow Thieves by Cherie Dimaline. Just, it
sounds so fucked up and I need to read it. I have A Winter's Promise: the Mirror
Visitor book one by Christelle Dabos and this is a piece of translated fiction. I
have her Jean talk about it. It sounds wonderful and I want to get to it.
I have Arcadia by Iain Pears. This has been on my TBR for a while and it is
huge which is why I keep avoiding it. But it sounds right up my alley. It is
playing with fantasy literature and I love books that get meta. And then I have
Fire and Blood by George RR Martin. This is the first book in a duology that is
looking back at the Targaryen family. I pre-ordered it and that is a habit that
I'm trying to break in 2019. I have set a goal for myself of no longer
pre-ordering books. This is a book that i pre-ordered
so this is a book that I want to read in 2019 because if I paid
for the fuckin pre-order, I should read it before the mass-market paperback
comes out and I could have paid $10 for it opposed to whatever I paid on this so...
The next stack I have here is in regards to my learning German. And so I want to
work my way through complete German grammar and verbs and vocabulary because
I'm sick of Duolingo. I have decided to restart Die Mitte der Welt by Andreas
Steinhoffel from the beginning. And I want to read one German book every two
months so that's hopefully six German books and I'm starting with this one
because I've already started it and I'm gonna read the next two that I have here
because I've purchased them. But I think I would also like to make the other
three books that I read this year more middle grade. So I have Der Marchenerzahler
-- oh that's a good pronunciation -- by Antonia Michaelis. Okay, hmm,
this is why I'm learning German. And then I have Harry Potter und der Stein der
Weisen. So this is what I mean by more middle grade. Like, a lot of children's
literature is German. A lot of, like, folk and fairy tales -- like the Grimm brothers
and stuff like that -- exists in German. A lot of fairy tales scholars actually do
German as a second language, a lot of children's lit scholars do German as a
second language (which is maybe why my interest is partly in German as well
because, you know, if I want to do that PhD I need a second language). What was my
point? I have no idea what my point was... But these are the three pieces of German
fiction that I would like to get to in the first six months of 2019. And then I
have yet to decide the other three, but hopefully this goes well. And the last
two books I have here are in preparation for NaNoWriMo because I do want to do
NaNoWriMo again. I found the process of writing a novel really good for my
mental health. I like writing. I did not think I would ever say that. I feel like
there's a video on this channel somewhere way back in the day where
somebody asked if I would ever write a novel and I said that I didn't feel that
calling, that I preferred being, like, more scholarly and deconstructing texts. Which
is true. But I do also enjoy fiction it turns out. View from the Cheap Seats by
Neil Gaiman. And so Neil Gaiman is quite established in the fantasy/sci-fi genres.
These are just essays on a broad range of interests and topics including, but
not limited to, authors past and present, music, storytelling, comics book shops,
travel, fairy tales, America inspirations, libraries, ghosts, and the touching title
piece which recounts the author's experience at the 2010 Academy Awards in
Hollywood. Some of it may be not relevant for writing but some of it will be and
I'm excited for it. And then the other book I have here is Ursula K Le Guin's
Conversations on Writing with David Naimon. Again, Ursula K Le Guin is well
established in the genre that I want to write: science fiction and fantasy. (More
so fantasy.) I'm just excited to try and read things from writers that I respect,
writers that do the things that I am interested in doing. So those are some of
the books that I want to get to in 2019. Obviously I'm going to make it a
priority to shop my shelves. I wonder if I could turn that into a little video
series? Like, I already sort of shopped my shelves to pick these but maybe every
month as we go through the year I can flip the camera around to my unread book
shelves and we'll shop these together to pick my TBR. There's an idea. Let me know

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I know What You Are: Geek Books for Kids - Duration: 2:52.
Hi my friends, CA here and this week's book pick is the picture book
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I Know Exactly What You Are. A classic nursery rhyme that I'm
sure you remember as a child and it probably shared with your own kids. Now
you can expand upon the nursery rhyme about stars into really understanding
what those stars are, still in the same nursery rhyme way. The pages are filled
with illustrations of the stars and constellations, the atmosphere, taking
your child from thinking of just that 5-point star that they sort of drawn
pictures, into what they actually are. Partnered with the rhyme of Twinkle
Twinkle Little Star but with words that better explain to a child what those stars really are.
"twinkle twinkle little star, I know exactly what you are. Opaque
balls of hot dense gas, million times our planet's mass. Looking small because
you're far, I know exactly what you are."
And all of the pages in the book follow
that similar sing-songy rhyme of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star but
substituting in the words into expanding your kids to think about
the universe beyond just a fairy tale star. Working in lines around the Milky
Way and black holes and the Sun as a way to get your kids to think about stars
sort of differently when they look up in the sky. If you have a child who's
looking to dig even deeper or has a fascination there are pages at the back
of the book that goes into more detail about constellations and a black hole
that you can sort of add to the conversation or build upon your child's
enthusiasm and interest. So that's this week's a book pick, the picture book

eclipse and we saw a streak of light and then we got a message on our Apple

here to Big Bear because everything we've done with the snowflake emoji has
been up here in the snow now to hear that we were going to play room this
sounds exactly like what happened when we had the supply drop on our rooftop
mat what if there's a supply truck here wait you should look through is there
anything was that a Supply Drop did you see that oh my gosh its snowing hey this is
probably why the game master wanted us to come up here he has to send up some type
of spy gadgets that's what he did last time when we set up the controller it's

Covington Catholic High School, SJWs Sabotage Aussie Fish-n-Chip Shop? - Duration: 13:13.

Hello and welcome to This Week In Social Justice
I'm Daisy Cousens and I'll be discussing all the biggest and baddest social
justice fails of the past seven days. This week we have the Covington Catholic
school boys and the major media blunder, the Australian fish-and-chip shop which
is being forced to close down because activists don't like the name and
depending on how long I feel like talking about the first two topics we
may even have time for a bonus topic so let's get started. but while I have your
attention the good news is that Subscribe star is back up and running.
This is perfect timing because as I've mentioned I will be deleting my Patreon

justice this week is of course the Covington Catholic school boys.
On January 18th a group of boys from Covington Catholic school attended the
March for Life in Washington DC. After the event footage emerged of what
appeared to be the large group of boys, many of whom were wearing red MAGA hats
harassing and mocking a Native American elder who was there attending the March
For Indigenous Peoples the initial reports looked something like this.
- We are hearing from a Native American elder in Vietnam War veteran speaking to CNN
after a disturbing viral video shows a group of teens harassing and mocking him
in the nation's capitol. Here's the video sparking 'outrage' on social media right
now, Nathan Phillips was beating his drum and singing an American Indian protest
song and this was on Friday on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial when he saw a
clash erupting between a group of teenage students and four African
American young men preaching about the Bible and oppression, well Phillips says
he immediately sensed danger. - This young feller put himself in front of me and
wouldn't move and so I could if I took another step I would be putting my -- my
person into his presence into his space and I would have touched him and that
would have been the thing that the group of people would have needed to spring on me.
- However it emerged very soon afterwards that this wasn't in fact the
whole story. Raw footage revealed that the boys
hadn't antagonized the Native American at all in fact he had approached them
while they were waiting on the steps of the Lincoln Center for their bus with
what appeared to be the intent of protesting and antagonizing them.
The elder whose name is Nathan Phillips and is a known activist and agitator got
right up in the face of one of the boys beating his drum inches from the boys
nose. Rather than approach or surround Phillips, or hustle him, or threaten him
with violence as was implied in the original reports the boy simply stood
there smiling and chanting along with his song. Their intent was not to
ridicule Philips on grounds of race. According to an email sent to the media
by one of the boys - "We were approached by a group of adults led by Nathan Phillips,
with Phillips beating his drum they forced their way into the center of our
group we initially thought this was a cultural display since he was beating
along to our cheers and so we clap to the beat. He came to stand in front of one of
my classmates who stood where he was smiling and enjoying the experience.
However, after multiple minutes of Mr. Phillips beating his drum directly in
the face of my friend (mere centimeters from his nose) we became confused and
started wondering what was happening. - In addition it turns out that prior to
being low-key harassed by Phillips the boys had been harangued by a group of
Black Israelites, who were there *ironically* to protest the March for
Indigenous Peoples. - Before you started worshiping totems *some other hate* about you
worshiped the Living God and this is the reason why this land was
taken away from you because except *even more hate* the most huh you're not supposed
to worship Eagles buffaloes - Rams right all types of venom that's right."
- A statement from student Nick Sandmann the boy who was confronted by Nathan
Phillips described the behavior of the Black Israelites towards the boys.
- "The protesters said hateful things, they called us racists, bigots, white crackers,
the f-word and incest kids. They also taunted an African-american student from
my school by telling him that we would harvest his organs. I have no idea what
that insult means, but it was startling to hear. Because we were being loudly
attacked and taunted in public a student in our group asked one of our teacher
chaperones for permission to begin our school spirit chants to counter the
hateful things that were being shouted at our group. the chants are commonly
used at sporting events. They are all positive in nature and sound like what
you would hear at any high school. Our chaperone gave us permission to use our
school chants. We would not have done that without obtaining permission from
the adults in charge of our group. at no time did I hear any student chant
anything other than the school spirit chants. I did not witness or hear any
students chant "build that wall" or anything hateful or racist at any time.
Assertions to the contrary are simply false." - Nevertheless between the initial
report and the release of the contextual footage the regressive-leftist universe
and indeed some conservatives went berserk. They were calling for these
schoolboys to be hung from the highest tree. Normally I would have more of a
selection of tweets for you but in this case there were so many of them I
actually didn't know where to begin. The amount of social media hate that these
school boys copped is worth a whole video in itself. So if you want a really
good account specifically of the social media firestorm Sargon of Akkad made a
really good video of it I have linked it in the video description. Now you'd think
when this contextual footage came out that those media organizations who had
been reporting this fake news would issue retractions and that those who had been
baying for the boys blood *literally* on social media would take a step back and
take time to review their conclusions, right?
*wrong*
While there were a couple of lukewarm apologies from journalists and the odd covert correction from various
publications, there was no mass media retraction, no mea culpa, nothing.
Instead the media simply brushed it under the rug and the Twitter squadrons
actually doubled-down in their attacks on the boys. Since their narrative about
the boys harassing Nathan Phillips fell through they did what they always do.
They shifted the goalposts and started attacking all of Covington Catholic
school and everyone in it. For example this photo and video which
some obsessive social justice enthusiasts from the New York Daily News
dug up from 2012 of Covington Catholic students apparently in blackface at a
basketball game, abusing the black players on the opposing team. Even though
the New York Daily News admitted the photo was unverified they still
published it and they still pushed narrative. As it turns out and according
to a tweet from former Covington student Ryan Tola - "I was at this game seven years
ago. Seven. I'm shown in the background of this image it's called a blackout theme
we had school spirit we do this to every school no matter the race or ethnicity
stop trying to force a fake story to drive your false narrative." - In other
words this photo does not even depict the Covington boys at the heart of the
story, in fact they would have been about nine years old when it was taken.
This whole kerfuffle is representative of what journalism and the media has turned
into it's no longer about being the best it's about being the first. In the age of
the internet when the transfer of information is instant and anyone can
take and upload photos and videos the focus is now on being the first news
outlet to do it. This comes not only at the sacrifice of principal but of facts
as we can see in the case of the Covington Catholic school boys. Of course
it's actually not surprising that the media did this the narrative was just
too juicy. Young white teenage boys from a Catholic all-boys school, some wearing
MAGA hats, attending the March for Life, with a
Native American elder thrown in as the cherry on top. However this is now the
accepted modus operandi of the regressive-left so long as you're
pushing the narrative that you believe is morally correct then facts can be
damned. It's very very Machiavellian and very dangerous so ginormous, huge social
justice fail on this issue. For a bit of Australian social justice madness a fish
and chip shop in Far North Queensland is being forced to close its doors after an
abusive online lynch mob harassed it into oblivion. The shop is called
"The Battered Wife" which is obviously a play on words between the batter used to coat
fish and of course DV. When the shop first drew eye of three months ago owner
Carolyn Kerr explained that as a former police woman who had witnessed DV
firsthand and also as a victim of DV herself, she wanted to use the name to
raise awareness of DV and help to combat it. In fact the motto of the shop which
is displayed on the front window is "the only battering anyone need know".
Nevertheless the squawking social justice hordes kicked up a stink
including a number of politicians. They claimed the name trivialized DV despite
Carolyn making her stance on the issue and her personal context very clear.
After three months of abuse which was ironically led by anti-domestic violence
organization the Red Heart Campaign and its leader Sherele Moody, Carolyn released
this statement on Facebook - Hi everyone my name is Carolyn Kerr and I'm the
owner of The Battered Wife fish-and-chip shop
At the moment, however with deep, deep sadness that I inform you that we will
cease trading mext week. - This to me is heartbreaking
here you have a small business run by an honest woman who is a victim of trauma
and who has created a number of jobs which are so vital in small country
towns, beaten into submission by people who have nothing better to do than tear
other people down to prove their virtue. They are the worst kind of people, those
who pretend to be moral and righteous but are actually trolls and online
assassins waiting for any opportunity to strike.
Fortunately a GoFundMe campaign has been set up for Carolyn, I have linked it in
the video description if you would like to take a look. Enormous and very sad
social justice fail on this one bonus topic I have been informed by my

Spanish American Dream Burger Challenge w/ Magic Mitch!! - Duration: 6:41.

Burger Challenge, the base burger for the challenge
there's about 2.3 kilos, you can do it solo or as a team rather than solo which
you have 30 minutes to do we've got four people here two teams each going
to do it as the team challenge, so we've got Raina up on a team with our friend
Lydia, who is from the trip and then it's going to be Magic Mitch and I.
Each team has 15 minutes to finish the entire thing, and the thing with this
challenge is you can only finish your side, so it's split into two, one person
can finish all the fries, but each person has to finish their own individual half,
and the 15 minutes if the team fails the burgers cost 30 euros but if we win
we'll get the burgers for free, we will get sweet t-shirts and we will get on
their Wall of Fame! Are you guys ready? oh yeah let's get this challenge started!
Two individuals have beaten the solo challenge here at the American dream and
then five teams of Raina, myself, and Magic Mitchi
we all did a burger challenge earlier in northern Spain today so we're doing it
as a team at plus we wanted to involve our friend Lydia, so we appreciate her
doing the challenge with us but I'm going for overall win number 631 we
don't know what the record is but let's dominate! 1, 2, 3. . . Boom!
Just over eight minutes in Raina finished her half in seven minutes and 45
seconds, great job right in there, but we still

What is Jon Shafer's At The Gates? A First Look | Basic Game Concepts - Duration: 17:46.
hello everyone welcome to the channel today we are going to look at a new game
Jon Shafer's at the gates it's being released today on January 23rd and I had
the pleasure of getting a pre-release copy of it last week so in the past week
I have been playing a lot of at the gates and it is a really fun game and if
you want a short version of this review well I can tell you that I had a lot of
fun playing this game and it also has a ton of replayability potential so let's
look at what the game is about Jon Shafer's at the gates is an indie game
designed by former civ5 lead designer so you might think this game will be sort
of like civ5 and yes it is turn-based as well but that's basically
where the similarities end I mean at the gates is also a 4x turn-based strategy
game so some aspects will overlap but the game mechanics are quite different and
some aspects of it are very well put together the backstory of the game is
that we play as a minor tribe or a nation in Europe set in the Roman Empire
times and the victory condition of the game is to defeat the Roman Empire the
eastern or the Western Roman Empire you can defeat them by force or diplomacy
but that comes much much later first let's fire up the game and go through
some basic details on how the game works so I'm playing this game on version zero
point nine point nine point two which I think is the alpha version I should also
mention here that I haven't found any game breaking bugs yet which is a
pleasant surprise I mean today even some of the finished games are really subpar
and has a lot of bugs so it's nice to see an indie game alpha release being so
good so we will start a new game and each game has a map that's procedurally
generated which provides a lot of replayability as resources and other
tribes around you will vary game to game we can only play as the goths in this
version and they have some unique abilities that they start with 15 food
and 100 treasure and each of the other tribes will also have some unique
abilities so let's start as goths and get in the game
and here is our map and I really like the 2D watercolor style of art here it
has a sort of indie vibe to it but it also looks really good I mean compare it
to some of the premier studio games such as civ6 which has great 3D models and
animations and other games like endless legend that has some fantastic artwork
but this watercolor style has a certain charm to it that I really like and that
could be just subjective so let's look at what we have here the map is divided
into tiles these little hexagons and this tile right here is our base or
settlement in this game we cannot build another base we can pack it up and move
it around but we will only have one base all game the base project some borders
which is the blue outline you see here and these borders are where we are
allowed to build more structures or buildings in game which then further
extends our borders but that will come a bit later first let's look at the top
left of the screen these are the resources we currently have so we have
100 gold or treasure and 15 food we also have a score of 9 and above them is the
number of clans our tribe or nation has right now it's 3 out of 12 so the game
starts with 3 clans and in this game the clans are your units you cannot build
new units you can only train these clans in different professions we'll
come back to what professions are in a little bit
but if you mouse over the clan number we will see that the fame stockpile is
increasing by +4 per turn fame is the resource that will attract the clans to
us and it will determine how soon the next clan joins us so right now we have
+4 per turn so the next clan will join us in 1 turn you can also see that
here and while they're talking about clans let's look at the three clans that
we have right here is a section where you will see all your notifications so
we have three clan notifications for the three clans that just joined us and this
button here is our next to do button our like the end turn button so we can either
click on this one one of the notifications icon to see the
clan let's just click on this one so our first plan is clan Manheim and this clan
has couple of traits each clan will have two traits and these are randomized and
you will get different traits in different starts oh and by the way
there's a setting in game for the first couple of games or maybe three games you
will get a very ideal start ideal in terms of resources and enemies nearby so
you can get a hang of the game before the game becomes too difficult I have
played it a few times now that I sometimes get some pretty difficult
starts one time I started in a Tundra region with very scarce food nearby and
another time I had this huge tribe next to me which neighbored me on three sides
and they had watchtowers and a lot of army so they were very advanced compared
to me which meant if they decided to attack me I was dead so you will
eventually get a lot of different starts which is a great feature to have alright
I got a little sidetracked let's get back to the clans so I was saying each
clan has two traits each clan also has a happiness level that will show here
later and this happiness level affects their resource production or morale
depending on what they are trained on let's look at the clan training next it
says here at the settlement is idle and if you click on it it opens this window
you can also click on not training clan if you want to train a clan so we can
train clans in different professions or disciplines let's look at what they are
the game has six disciplines these are honor agriculture livestock
metalworking crafting and discovery and within these disciplines are the
specific professions so to simplify it this is your tech tree and disciplines
are the six tech categories we will close that for a bit and close that one
too and let's go to not studying profession which will show us our tech
tree so here are the same six professions that you see or tech
categories we are also producing 4 knowledge per turn which is how soon we will
research the tech and if we click on show more we can see the professions
that belong to each category or discipline so honor
is where we can train hunters or military units agriculture is where we
can get resources from plants obviously like food livestock is where we can get
resources from animals metalworking is for minerals crafting is for forests or
wood and discovery is for training explorers or some different things such
as to increase your fame or to increase your knowledge or even traders which can
increase your treasure directly and if we click on show all here there are
actually a lot of professions and most of the professions have three upgrades
so that is a huge tech tree and even though I haven't played a full game yet
I mean I have played maybe two or three hundred turns each game I just kept
starting a new game to see more things but I can imagine that a full game will
take a while to complete and you will have to manage a lot of clans like I
mentioned you can train your clans in all these professions you can't build a
unit as a gatherer but you can train a clan to be a gatherer and you can train
a clan only in one profession you can't switch the training from say gatherers
to something else but there's a penalty if you switch between different
disciplines but again you can only train them to be in one profession there are
so many professions here and we only have three clans so we have to decide
what do we want the most right now one of the most important things is food
obviously as here it says we are losing one food per turn so clans consume some
food and they grow in size and consume more food with time and if you don't
have enough food they will starve and then well bad things happen and I found
that in most games you would want to start as a Reaper or a gatherer and
which of those you choose will depend on what resources you have near us so let's
get back to the map and see what we have right next to us as a food source with
animals so we can train a hunter and they can collect food from that other
things nearby we have a beehive which also produces some honey
which can be used as a food we have this thing called unidentified mineral and
we actually have a lot of them here we have some more unidentified animals we
have patch of berry which we haven't explored yet but we know it's there it
says rumors of a vast patch of berries so we can send a gatherer to collect
berries there and then we have more things here these are rumors of a
deserted farm which means it's a ruin and you can send an explorer there and
they'll find some random things sort of like in Civ same here it's ruins we
have some wheat plant here and here is a rumors of a bandit camp which are our
barbarians in this game and we have more animals and some more bee hive so
unfortunately we don't have plants near us that will give us food we'll just
have to do with deer so we will start trading one of these clans as a hunter
now which clan you choose to train in what will depend on their clan traits
there are a lot of different traits and some of which will direct you to a
certain profession so for example this clan Manheim have a trait called brown
thumb it says training time doubled in agriculture and if you look here it says
likely to get upset within a year if forced into a profession in the
agriculture discipline so if you train this clan in one of these disciplines or
in any agriculture discipline he will get very upset so let's not do that we
can actually train them as a hunter so we can start collecting food now and you
can only train one clan at a time this clan will take two turns to complete
their training as a hunter so another example here is if you look at our third
clan clan Hulbert they have a trait called Marshman that is no extra turns
needed to enter marsh tiles no extra move points needed to enter heavy rain
tiles and doesn't become trapped in flooded tiles so they have some movement
bonus so they might be good to train as an explorer which will help us explore
the map they're also a very important early unit to have one other thing is
that clans can also gain experience in game and if you see this one they are
disfigured which means experience gained in all disciplines is doubled discipline
it says none here but as they are trained in a certain profession
and they get some experience it'll show a level here as the level increases their
training time is reduced and I think at level 10 they get a free tech upgrade so
one other thing I wanted to show you guys is desires so I played one turn and
now we have a new clan with us and this clan has a trait loyal their mood is no
worse than happy which is great and never has desires so each clan could
have a desire and it will depend on some of the traits that they have one of the
most common desires I have seen in game is that they would want to be in the
settlement during winters and yes this game also has some seasons and you can
check that here it's late April in 400 AD and the winter comes around I think
October and lasts till February which is about 10 turns but it's slightly
variable during winter you cannot collect food from most sources such as
wheat so if you only have plants nearby you cannot harvest them during winter
and so you want to make sure that you have enough food stockpile to last the
winter you can still get food from I think berries and definitely animals
there are also changes to terrain during winter as the unit's might take longer
to move and they might even get snowed in and get immobilized the game also has
rains which can cause flooding and similar movement and harvesting
penalties the clans also interact with each other and we got lucky that we see
here a major feud has broken out between the two clans because of repeated
clashes caused by spending too much time together
and they're demanding that we punish the other clans so here we can punish this
clan by clicking on this button and they are now upset because their desire is
not being granted and once their mood becomes upset they get penalties to
morale and resource production and all that so there are lot of interactions
between the clans as well and then you have to keep in mind that they have some
traits so clans are sort of the center point of this game which actually
makes the game really fun there are a lot of different interactions and there
are a lot of different layers to how you will play the game we also have a
caravan in this game or it is like a marketplace where you can buy and sell
your things you can buy certain things for gold or you can sell your stuff for
some gold but this Caravan is not available all the time it arrives
after certain turns and I think it arrives less frequently in winter all
right now I played a few turns and I wanted to show you guys a little bit of
warfare so here is our Archer who's your basic military unit warfare is pretty
straightforward in this game it's basically decided by four factors
there's power health morale and then defensive bonuses that you get from
terrain power is how much damage your army does to the enemy health is obvious
and once health goes down to zero your unit will die morale is also affected by
battles so if you lose a battle your morale will go down and morale also goes
down with supply limit so right now we don't have any supply problems because
it's not winter but in winter there are supply problems and the unit losses I
think 10% health and morale with each day if they are in a low supply area so
here is a barbarian camp and you can click your archer and if you hover over
here it'll tell you the battle forecast where the enemy is left rattled and your
army is bloody and sore so it'll show your attack power and then enemy's
defense power they have hundred percent extra defense from digging in which also
something you can do by digging in you get more defense your units can also
encamp which will increase the supply limit there and it's very helpful during
winters where you're losing health and morale so you can just encamp and get
some extra supply but it also decreases the power of your unit so don't use it
as a defensive tool so those are really some bare basics of this game I didn't
want to get into too much details in this introductory video
this was more meant to see what the game is about and what are some interesting
game mechanics and I think clans are a really cool feature and there are a lot
of other mechanics that I haven't covered in this video such as you can
declare yourself a kingdom which will give you extra fame and extra border but
then your settlement is fixed in one place and you cannot move it around and
from little what I have played I think moving your settlement is kind of
important in early game and then you can also ennoble a clan which also increases
their happiness and increases the fame production and then there are other
things such as diplomacy once you meet new tribes
and I'm sure there are a lot more features that I haven't discovered yet
either so I'm thinking about starting a let's play series on it for at least a
few turns and try to explain some more game mechanics in details and we can
discover new features together and see how the mid and late game plays out so
to summarize this video I would recommend getting this game I am
recording this video before the release date so I don't know how much it costs
and I cannot tell you if the game is worth the price but I can tell you that
it is a neat game with a ton of replayability potential and it's also
likely a very long game I was pleasantly surprised by this game especially
because it's made by mostly by one guy and the three-person team in conifer
games by the way you guys should check out their site there's some more

about his journey on the game I think a lot of independent artists will relate

Is It EASIER to Stick to the KETO Diet? - Duration: 4:04.
One of the biggest selling points made by proponents of the ketogenic diet is that it's
supposedly a lot easier to stick to than other diets.
If true, then the keto diet will improve the crucial element of ADHERENCE.
Although a great marketing soundbite, whether evidence of improved adherence exist is another
matter.
In that case, does the scientific literature show greater adherence with the ketogenic
diet?
Let's find out.
First, I want to give a shout-out to the guys at SCI-FIT.net.
It was their amazing review that provided the information for this video.
So, a big thank you to them.
To analyze keto adherence, the guys over at sci-fit.net first searched for the relevant
studies.
In doing so, they made sure to exclude metabolic ward and feeding studies.
Studies where participants were given pre-prepped meals.
Such studies are great for observing specific ketogenic elements but does not mimic real-life
adherence.
Thus, the exclusion.
Accounting for this and other criteria, like prescribing subjects to eat at most 70 grams
of carbs daily and the goal required is weight loss, it came down to 10 suitable studies.
As far as measuring adherence, one method is to see if participants remained in ketosis.
A blood ketone level of 0.5 millimoles per liter or higher is commonly accepted by keto
proponents as being in the state of ketosis.
If subjects were not above this mark when they're supposed to be, thus not in ketosis,
then we would assume they were eating too many carbs thus lack adherence.
Now, let's get to the findings.
Out of the 10 studies, only two groups ever actually achieved ketosis at any point of
the experiments.
Others were within borderline ketosis but ketone levels decreased over time.
Now some have theorized, without clear evidence, that keto adaptation will naturally decrease
blood ketone levels, thus lower levels don't necessarily mean a lack of diet adherence.
However, if we do look at those metabolic ward studies where diets are more tightly
controlled, we should see a decreasing ketone effect if the adaptation theory is true.
But, we do not.
We instead see ketone levels remaining high throughout the experiment, contradicting the
adaptation theory.
But, beyond blood ketones, we can also at look self-reported carb intake data.
If subjects reported eating above their carb limit, then clearly, they did not adhere to
the diet.
That being said, in long-term studies, it was common to see groups break well above
the 70-gram carb threshold, at times more than double.
Short-term studies at 13 weeks or fewer, though, did show better adherence.
However, self-reported data isn't exactly the most reliable information.
In fact, studies on the self-reported intake show that people typically think they eat
less than they actually eat, especially when trying to lose weight.
Something to consider.
Luckily, there's one more factor to observe that's also a bit more concrete for measuring
adherence.
We can look at drop-out rates.
The guys at sci-fit.net pooled together 1,307 experimental keto participants, of which 319
dropped out, versus 1,294 control participants, where 311 dropped out.
That's 24.4% of dropouts in the experimental groups versus 24% for the control groups.
AKA, dropout rates were virtually the same.
Now with scientific data, it looks like keto advocates might not have been entirely accurate
with the "easier to stick to" agenda.
But if you PERSONALLY feel that you can stick to the diet without much problem, then by
all means continue with it.
For those that repeatedly struggle eating so few carbohydrates, you might be better
off trying something else.

Right now in Davos, Switzerland, you have the World Economic Forum.
We've got millionaires and billionaires, financier's, hedge fund managers, and other people who
have devoted their entire life to chasing dollars at this world economic forum and you
know what's on their minds according to interviews they've given to reporters, representative
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, these powerful men and women over there, the millionaires, billionaires,
they fund political parties all over the planet, including here in the United States, both
Republican and Democrat, and they are all freaking out right now because of Alexandria
Ocasio-Cortez is proposed.
I mean her idea, it's not even proposed, but her idea to raise marginal tax rates in the
United States to 70 percent on any income earned over $10,000,000.
That terrifies them.
She terrifies these elite financier's meeting over in Switzerland right now.
They can't stop talking about her.
They can't stop talking about her proposal and not because they think that she is, you
know, some idealistic person, but because they understand that she hit a nerve with
the American public and they actually support it.
Fifty nine percent of people in this country, including 45 percent of Republicans do support
raising the marginal tax rate to 70 percent.
They like that idea.
They liked the idea of millionaires and billionaires having to give a little bit more in tax money
to help protect this country, whether it's increasing funding for EPA or FDA or police
departments, teachers, medicare for all debt free college proposals like that, food stamps,
all of that.
We could fund a lot of it by just raising that marginal tax rate to 70 percent, which
is actually lower than it has been historically here in the United States, but that's what
they're talking about.
That's what they're telling reporters right now.
And again, this is not just republicans who are saying this.
There are some Democrat donors over in Davos right now who are telling reporters that they
don't like this and that I've given a lot of money to the Democratic Party and trust
me, this isn't ever going to happen.
If a, if a Democratic candidate runs on this in 2020, it's going to be a death sentence.
Ain't gonna happen.
Um, specifically here, uh, we're talking about Glenn Hutchins actually is the man who said
that, uh, he is a founder of a private equity equity firm called Silver Lake.

But i want to show you that you live better than the richest King in the world's richest city of its time,
arguably one of the richest guys in history, who lived in a pompous palace
and who had 498 full-time servants who did everything for him
probably down to wiping his royal butt!
Wait ... did they have toilet paper back then?
King Louie had us dinner every night served on gold and silver plates,
and could choose between 40 freshly prepared different luxurious dishes.
How do you beat that? You don't have a single cook.
No you don't ... but you have a supermarket with fresh, frozen, canned ingredients, pre-prepared meals,
hundreds of exotic ingredients that Louie had maybe never seen or could rarely afford,
like prickly pears and pepper.
And all in sanitary packaging and screened for salmonella.
If you want to cook from scratch, the meat and vegetables are already be cleaned and pre-portioned.
But if you prefer to sit down and have the food brought to you
you are able to choose between far more than 40 dishes from far more kinds of cuisines than just French,
by picking a nearby restaurant and ordering something from their menu.
And it will take hardly half an hour until it's served to you by a smiling waiter.
King Louie had his OWN tailor!
But you have hundreds of stores and websites with clothing in every type of material,
for any imaginable occasion and taste,
and probably much more comfortable than anything Louie was wearing.

And crews of people maintaining cell phone towers, internet infrastructure, and satellites

with a variety of drugs developed by expert chemists and bio technicians,
and can pick between many eager and way more qualified doctors and clinics
than Louie ever had access to.
King Louie had government ministers.
But you have a host of reporters, foreign correspondents, researchers, intellectuals,
comedians, bloggers, and youtubers, who are eager to tell you about everything
from elections or war in a foreign country, to the Queen's new great-grandchild
and how to power a rocket with soda pop!
If you think about it ... you have WAY more than 498 servants
who are eager to help you at a moment's notice!
They are also way more trained and knowledgeable about the services they provide you.
Sure they also work for other people ... but does that really matter?
Now you say: "But he didn't have to work! I DO!"
But ask yourself ... is that really true?
Think about it for a moment.
Do you think he would have remained in power if he had
just sat on his throne and let other people wipe his butt?
If he hadn't known how to negotiate and
navigate the alliances and coalition's of the court and elite of his time?
That might not sound like a job to you, but it was probably way more stressful
and less enjoyable than most of the jobs we have these days
So the bigger question:
What happened since Louis' time to make this possible?
Well, division of labour and exchange made all of this possible,
fueled by a set of favorable institutions that provided a framework for people to cooperate
in ever more efficient and productive ways!

Days went by with him talking about methods for us to protect ourselves against evil
and how evil comes into our life
and honestly, I hadn't been understanding much
so I asked him:
"But Gabriel, why does evil exist?"
And do you want to know what he did?
He laughed!
And his response was "Evil exists to help you."
I tell you that I've spent many years to understand "Does it help me? How come?"
and only later, when I understood the concept that there is only God
and that all this - the arid, the desert,
or that vastness of green that we see in Hawaii for example,
such strong contrasts in the world
the elderly, the young,
the very rich, the very poor, miserable,
all this is part of one only thing
because anyway
Is there anything at all but God?
Is there is something that can be different from God if God is all there is?
But for us to understand this concept of Unity of everything,
for us to understand the concept of the green that spreads everywhere,
for us to really appreciate this,
for us to understand the concept of being healthy, feeling our body and well-being,
What needs to happen?
Our mind
which is like this, right? Two pieces, two hemispheres of the brain
our mind can only understand when we feel the opposite of it.
So we feel the doenรงa and when we become healthy, we feel the health.
Or we feel like something is lacking in life
lack of goods, lack of food, lack of ownership, lack of money
by the time we have it, it has its real the value.
We notice the desert
there is a beauty here, we notice this vastness, the desert, the nothingness
and when we see the forest,
the Brazilian forest for example,
we feel the forest.
Human beings understand things by having polarity
and what happens when we realize the evil and the concept "this is evil" comes?
We immediately conceive the good.
Then evil exists to help you in the sense that through it you realize the good
and through the evil, you make your choice
for good.
But then here there is an ace up its sleeve that I'm going to show you.
If you choose good and deny evil
evil keeps coming to you.
it continues to come to you more and more because you are in polarity.
You only get rid of this polarity of good and evil
not only by understanding and feeling the good,
but when your consciousness rises above good and evil

and the desert is beautiful
and the illness has its beauty
because it has a teaching behind it
and the lack of something has its beauty
because then you realize that nothingness has everything and so on.
There is only Unity

NUTS is a joke WAD for Doom II created and released in 2001 by B.R.P.D that puts the player against nothing
less than 10617 monsters separated in two huge rooms, without any place to hide nor sufficient ammo.
Listed in Doomworld's Top 10 Infamous WADs, NUTS is a practical demonstration of the infighting's
importance. The player must force it in order to keep monsters engrossed in killing eachothers,
managing the invulnerability spheres available to avoid being slaughtered in few seconds.
According to its author, NUTS needs Boom, but it ran good here only in GZDoom 1.8.2. In newer
versions of the port, I had an unbearable frame rate drop. The mod also requires the IWAD from
Doom II: Hell on Earth, from Freedoom's phase 2 or a Final Doom's one.
You can see that there are all the monsters except the flying ones.
Well, let's see what is going to happen here...
Using an advanced port that disables monsters' infinite height, NUTS is actually relatively easy
to beat. Simply run over the monsters' heads and reach two switches. You can even relax
and play it just to see how many demons you can eliminate.
When using this tactic, I kill the Heavy Weapon Dudes first, to avoid the hitscan if I can't get the
next invulnerability, then I focus on the Revenants, as they are a bunch of pricks.
The deal now is to pull a Ronaldo Gaucho's and dribble the projectiles and enemies, without
let them accumulate on the Invulnerabilities' way, so you can collect them whenever you need.
This level only has a Plasma Rifle, a BFG 9000, two Megaspheres, a Backpack, some Cell Packs and some
Invulnerability spheres. It is absolutely impossible to kill all monsters without cheating.
At best, a bunch of Cyberdemon will still be remaining in the second area.
Seriously, someone must be neutered to think that doing this here is harder
than Chillax. In fact, if it wasn't for the absurd frame rate drop, it would be cool to make a mess here
matching it with other mods, forcing more infighting, etc.
The NUTS' plot is as follows: your mission is to destroy the final hellspawn army in Litrivin IV. The
sent sent you alone, because you got drunk on last year's General's birthday party and he never
