Magical Girl Eudaemonics

By myself, I always Marberica

Taking a swing in general, a boring miracle

Chances to save people and do mischief,

Anything will be granted, Magisperica

Avoiding even plainness, Soliterica

Why do I need to hide it? A tragic law, flawed convictions and restraints

Things like that!

Everyday I'm sick of getting bad grades

TV and weekly magazines, yes

The future, my expectations, are all shaking

But if I don't change my answer, there's no meaning to it

Just for today, it's fine if I break my promise

Selfishly changed happiness wars

For example, if the world ended overnight

and I could use a little bit of magic

I know I shouldn't be able

to be tricked by such jokes, but

Let me be reborn

Always as a child, Malberica

Bare steel frames, a garden neglected at 3 A.M.

I'm scared of becoming an adult

and I'm scared this long night will be interrupted

saying "it's like magic!"

Immersed in this sensation, even if I try wishing for it,

I know it's nothing but playing with dolls

However, even if I bear the burden of sin,

I won't, even if I hate it, throw away and bury the future I want

Even if you say you won't let me forget about this day,

even if you make me known it'll blind me

Only this night, my pulse is cruelly changed

scorched with envy

Urging that this satisfaction will never be filled

There's nothing like noble love there

Saying that I want to forgive that kind of me,

I continue to believe in

the promise I couldn't keep

Like always, even my emotions are unsightly

the illusions of the blindly believing girl brought up with care

Will certainly splinter off without her realizing

That miracles no longer rain down from the skies

For example, if even magic that disturbed the earth

couldn't break the crystallization of my feelings

Someone who lost themselves in a universe

wrapping and sinking in a maelstrom of desire,

An invader of love!

The world ending just overnight, among other things,

being able to use a bit of magic, among other things,

In wanting to try loving within that kind of joke,

I want to hear

The world's everything within you

Thanks for watching!

THE GENERATION OF THE WOLF - MINI WILDLIFE DOCUMENTARY - Duration: 10:45.

they were watching yellowstone in depth

kids today rule their world and it's a

new world unlike anything that's come

before a world where science has

replaced many mysteries a smaller world

where the most feared and exotic

creatures are right at kids fingertips

of visual world where they can see what

others could only read about form and

savvy world where they can see it right

in front of them with a mouse click

is it any wonder then that the world

outside is ruled by youngsters as well

there's a new generation in Yellowstone

wolves were first reintroduced from

Canada 1995 but not a single one of the

original wolves is still alive in the

park every wolf in Yellowstone today was

born here and this new generation is

making its own rules

likewise there's a new generation of

people in Yellowstone and for them the

story of the wolf reintroduction is old

news many adults remember the return of

the wolf controversy that tribulations

and the eventual success but none of

these kids do in their lives

Yellowstone has always had wolves and

what the wolves are teaching us is

transforming human understanding of how

the natural world works call this

generation w the generation of the wolf

the Yellowstone most adults knew and

loved as they grew up wasn't a natural

ecosystem as it evolved it was missing

one crucial element one of its top

predators and that absence rippled

across the ecosystem affecting animals

plants even the landscape itself they

have restored this predatory influence

on the animals that live here and that

has been something that's beyond old and

so we really can't have naturalness

without that it Yellowstone is a

different place with Wolves that it was

before without them the return of the

wolf presented an opportunity the likes

of which scientists had never seen

before

a rare glimpse into how ecosystems

recover how balance is achieved how

animals interact with each other and the

rest of the environment

to get a better understanding of how

wolves are changing Yellowstone doug

smith is working with a new generation

of scientists he heads a small army of

field biologists many of whom are

students are volunteers to monitor the

Wolfpack's and record what they are

seeing each team is assigned to a

different wolfpack the start of each day

is pretty early for the Sun comes up

when you study last for 30 days it's an

intensive study particularly during

March you have the days keep getting

longer so 1213 hours and feels every day

for six days kind of a lot and we're

assigned to a particular pack and so our

priority is to locate that pack so we'll

be checking signals along the way if

everything goes right we'll have them in

sight as soon as it's light enough

scientists try to collar at least one

wolf in each pack by following a radio

signal that the color transmits the

field crews hope to locate the pack it

gets a little complicated because

signals will bounce off of wall faces

and so you can every mean the landscape

but the primary just event is that

wherever it's coming allowed us is where

they're probably be while the crews work

from the ground they have help from the

air

Doug Smith uses telemetry equipment

mounted on a small plane to help

pinpoint the location of the wolves and

to record their behavior by using the

plane the team saves valuable time and

locates wolves that are far enough away

from park roads to be out of reach of

the ground crews

go ahead down

shot

where

provide cover in that right

yeah we can definitely try showing up

there for all right three up a clear the

wolf Cruz don't just focus on the Wolves

they're working to understand the

relationship between wolves and all of

the other species in the ecosystem

particularly one very close relationship

with their main prey elk the crew takes

general notes on the animals sighs and

record the gps location for the kill

they also take a bone marrow sample to

study the animals health when it died

mostly kills that we go to that our wolf

kills the marrow and usually is pretty

poor healthy marrow will be the

consistency of peanut butter and not

great Merrill with me what it looked

like today very gelatinous

jellyfish-like can almost basically pour

it out of the femur so the bone marrow

is a good indication that it was a

pretty hard winter for her she was

pretty old her teeth are worn down a

little bit we've seen that wolves will

take older individuals especially cows

so they're not the prime animals in the

population

biologists had definitely expected the

Wolves to make elk a main part of their

diet and they predicted that wolves

would target weaker members of the elk

herd such as older elkin calves in this

way they are reshaping Yellowstone's elk

population in ways that are playing out

right before our eyes but this new

generation of wolves also had some

surprises up their sleeves now they've

recolonize is completely there are some

very new things that have never been

seen before that we're learning about

wolves and one of them is in the past

the amount of competition between

Wolfpack's we think because the density

of wolves in the northern portion of

Yellowstone is so high that this inter

pack fighting is is causing the

population to decline a little bit and

so that has really never been well

documented anywhere else

scientists were also surprised to see

wolves preying on bison animals that can

easily wait 20 times as much as an

individual wolf Bisons stand there and

kind of a pugnacious way and dare the

Wolves to take them on

and they just sit there and stare at you

and even charge you

so when the Wolves killa bison it's a

huge ordeal it's a big battle and it can

last all day

grizzly bears are interesting because

there's just not very many places at

least at this latitude where wolves and

grizzly bears in Iraq Yellowstone's one

of the few places and like the Bison

bears are bigger than wolves but they're

not as quick so that pretty much defines

the interaction between bears and wolves

and so they have this game of chess

the wolves are much better at getting

meat and the bears eat mostly vegetation

want to take the meat from the Wolves so

they tend just to walk in and push the

wolves around but the wolves they can

hover around the Bears acting like a

mosquito pulling back quickly because

they know the Bears are as quick as they

do to just trying to harass the Bears

out of a bite of food I've seen as many

times as a fascinating dance to watch

what we've seen with bears and bison is

just the beginning in a long list of new

things we've learned about wolves each

year

biologists are getting a closer look at

how generation w that generation of the

wolf is reshaping our world

in Yellowstone we can learn a lot from

our youngsters perhaps because they

don't know what it was like before they

are looking to the future not the past

exactly what that future will look like

is anyone's guess but you can bet that

this generation of wolves like our youth

will make it unlike anything we've seen

before

ok

VOICES OF YELLOWSTONE - WILDLIFE DOCUMENTARY - Duration: 11:29.

they were watching yellowstone in depth

it's been just a couple decades the

National Park Service has identified

that natural soundscapes are really

important and I think that's a big

reason why i was hired the door carrying

helstone my name is Shannon person i'm a

bioacoustics ologist Yellowstone

National Park acoustic monitoring is

just trying to understand the soundscape

of Yellowstone

the person I'm taking is using automated

systems that collect sound levels and

this recordings

so I'm setting up a new system here and

I've never use this microphone setup

I've had one somewhere this is a a

stereo mic sure right channel heading

north

people have been interested in sounds

and parts now for decades by they really

came to the forefront probably about 20

years ago when people started those

things mostly human-made sounds are

starting impact people's experiences and

then there's a concern of what i was

doing to wildlife this is the heart of

the system a digital recorder collects

the mp3's or wav files depending on what

I want and I'm just gonna hook this

microphone right into the this

so this is a record that will just do it

will be can turn now on for the next 30

days it'll just be continuously

recording whatever these microphones

here and what I'm trying to do is get an

understanding of what what the different

sound sources in the park both natural

sounds as well as human-made sounds and

find out how much they can be heard and

where their herd right and more or less

what the effect is of of especially the

non-natural sounds on the natural

soundscape

I've heard soundscape to find somebody

to a landscape where landscape 'used and

review she had what you can see if you

look out over the land and a soundscape

is basically where you can hear if

you're in a particular place bigger time

natural sound is any sound that's not

made by humans so all animal sounds

biological sounds insects birds mammals

amphibians as well as physical sounds

waterfall wave Thunder things are all

parts natural soundscape

acoustic ecology is a relatively new and

emerging field as we start to recognize

the role that sound plays and survival

reproduction of animals most mammals

vocalize and many many other species of

different taxa mobilize and it's really

important for their natural history for

attracting mates for repelling

competitors they use their ears to

identify by sounds where three species

are and prey species

likewise use sounds of predators to try

to avoid them

ok

over some vehicles are vehicles that

transport people on the top of the snow

snow surface

National Park Service Yellowstone wanted

to know more about the impacts are the

effects of personal vehicle noise on the

park and not only on natural the natural

soundscape but on visitor experience

visitors are starting to complain about

natural sounds and if we have a lot of

non-natural sounds human-made sounds

that starts to really restrict what a

particular and welcome here because

these motorized sounds or not natural

sounds start masking communication

one of the satisfying things of both

working here is that the data on

collecting I think it personally is

important but also the park thinks it's

important because they have modified

some of the winter use plans for the

managed use based on data I've collected

at this point there's a restriction on

the maximum number of over snow vehicles

both snow coaches and snowmobiles are

allowed in the park estate

I just set up a sound monitoring system

and just south of the headquarters of

mammoth with canary springs behind me

i'm setting the system up for several

reasons one is I wanted to get what the

visitor experience is in mammoth area as

well as road traffic sounds and so this

site fit the bill quite nicely

it's a beautiful sunny day in the middle

of winter i think it's gonna be a good

site

yeah i would like to ask visitors to

take a short period of time and actually

listen to be quiet in the place and

still and listen to the sounds of

Yellowstone I think that'd be really

impressed and excited about what they

hear although many people don't come to

Yellowstone with the idea that i can't

wait to get there to hear natural sounds

that it makes a big impression on them

when they're here

DISCOVER MOUNTAIN GOATS AT YELLOWSTOINE NATIONAL PARK - Duration: 6:41.

they were watching yellowstone in depth

mountain goats in Yellowstone

it's plain and simple Yellowstone is an

exciting place people travel here to

experience nature at its purest and here

in the northeast corner of the park at

its wildest the preservation of this 2.2

million acre winners ensures at this

park will remain one of our national

legacies the ability to watch as the

drama and the beauty of this naturally

regulating ecosystem unfolds makes this

Park one of our national treasures

Yellowstone's beauty reaches well beyond

the geyser basins in the canyons much of

that beauty here lies within the

competition that occurs at every level

of the wilderness we are easily excited

about the struggles between bears and

wolves but are those battles more

important than the effort it takes for

an Alpine plan to survive it is the

daily interactions between the different

elements of nature that makes this place

so special

one of our main jobs in Yellowstone is

to preserve and protect the natural

features and processes found here when

those processes involve a non-native

species it draws attention Yellowstone

is being invaded the mountain goat is

moving in for visitors a chance to see

your photograph these charismatic

creatures is a rare but treasured event

mountain goats are beautiful but here in

Yellowstone they are exotic for hunting

purposes

mountain goats were introduced into the

Absaroka and Beartooth Mountains during

the 1940s and 1950s those mountains to

the north along with a Gallatin

mountains to the west of the park

provided pathways for the migration of

goats in the northern Yellowstone it is

believed that by 1990 mountain goats had

successfully colonize some alpine

sections of the park

the first and most obvious concern with

the arrival of mountain goats was their

interaction with native bighorn sheep

the Greater Yellowstone region is

considered one of the most important

core areas for bighorn sheep in north

america and sheep are highly susceptible

disease transfer from other species in

1982 an outbreak of pink act killed

nearly sixty percent of Yellowstone's

Bighorn population maintaining a healthy

sheep population in Yellowstone is

essential

could the added competition and

displacement by mountain goats be

adversely affecting the rebounding

Bighorn population wildlife managers

have been working to develop an adaptive

management plan that best protects the

park in 2007 researchers from the

Yellowstone center for resources began

working with dr. kinaho to research the

effects goats are having on the alpine

regions of northern Yellowstone between

2002 2003 dr. aho now a professor at

Ohio State University conducted his doc

torial research in the park he

established and sampled 110 plots on

nine high-altitude mountains in the

northeast portion of the park and

adjacent national forest land that study

look to describe the plant species found

within Yellowstone's Alpine environment

he also looked at the different plant

communities and how those were

distributed across the landscape

anecdotal data from this research

indicated that in areas of high goat use

vegetation cover was lower and barren

areas more abundant along ridgelines

well how it's windy up here the latest

study which began in 2007 use three

alternate sampling techniques to assess

the potential effects of mountain goats

on alpine vegetation areas of both high

and low goat use we looked at

secondly in 2008 and 2009 dr. aho

collected vegetation and environmental

data at 152 sights on eight different

mountains those plots were in five

different habitats north face South face

ridge snowmelt and plateau plots were

established along a gradient of goat use

from high to low

thirdly dr. aho resampled some of the

plots he had studied between 2002 2003

returning to those plots provided

measures of change over time

during this study a few things concern

dr. aho from the start

one was the fact that there was

considerable trail building in areas of

high goat use this can lead to erosion

he noticed goats like the area's just

down street from the lingering snow

cornices the melting snow provides water

for the goats but it also creates

important habitat for some of the rarest

plants found in the Northern Rockies

some of which are endemic to this region

also the amount of plant disturbances at

goat betting sites was significant a

major concern is a rapid expansion of

the goat population into fragile alpine

habitat and estimated 178 goats live in

Yellowstone in 2010 compared to 54 back

in 2002 maintaining a healthy and native

Alpine environment is essential for

Yellowstone's future alpine ecosystems

in Yellowstone are important for two

reasons first of all the park is

intended to be a place where natural

systems are preserved intact and the

Alpine is certainly an important part of

yellowstone national park

secondly all the climate models that

have been recently published concerning

ella stone predict the tree lines will

move up an altitude and cause the Alpine

to be increasingly fragmented and made

vulnerable overtime this research will

help the National Park Service as they

create an adaptive management plan that

is based on science

it will also aid state and federal

agencies outside the park as they

develop guidelines and hunting quotas

for regions near the park

INSIDE YELLOWSTONE: BISON OR BUFFALO? EXPLAINED - Duration: 2:35.

you're watching inside Yellowstone you

will never forget the first time you see

a bison in the wild they seem to conjure

up some deep-rooted emotions from our

past it maybe just one lonely bull

walking through the fog early one

morning

it could also be a few hundred cows and

cat stretching out as far as the eye can

see

however your first encounter plays out

it will remain a part of you

bison have always had that magic taking

time to slow down and watch these

magnificent creatures could be the

highlight of your next trip to

Yellowstone remember they're fast they

can run 30 miles per hour

watch from a safe distance bison are

well-adapted for Yellowstone's harsh

winters their large heads are used as a

shovel they sweep away the snow to reach

drag grasses below in deep snow bison

break trail for each other and following

a straight line to save energy

adult blue bison spend most of the year

alone or in small groups Cal bison live

in herds that include calves and young

Bulls mature bowls join those herds in

late summer for the mating season during

this rut Bulls engage in ritual battle

for the right to mate with a female

calves are born nine months later

usually in April or May bison are social

creatures the reddish-colored calves

often gather in small playgroups where

they learn the social ins and outs of

bison life when crossing a river adults

cross downstream from the Cavs to ensure

the current doesn't wash the young ones

away i once watched a pack of wolves

attempting to take down a lone bull

bison out of nowhere

45 other Bulls came running up in a line

and ran the Wolves away wildlife

researcher marymar notice that bikes are

always on the move

stay alert and if they move toward you

back away

it is illegal to be closer than 25 yards

to a bison elk or any other ungulate

THE NEW WOLF HUNTERS - MINI WILDLIFE DOCUMENTARY - Duration: 10:43.

they were watching yellowstone in depth

Yellowstone's wolves are back and

biologist Doug Smith is hunting them

with a camera

70 years ago hunters silence the last of

Yellowstone National Parks original

wolves today their howls once again echo

through the valleys as new wolves

reclaim their voice in the park how

successful has wolf restoration been to

yellowstone I think the best way to

think about it is when we did this no

one knew what was going to happen

there's so much will feature that we

thought all the walls would be shot and

killed and so no one knew and i remember

a time when I was wondering what was

going to happen one day her the wolves

howling Lamar and that sound to me was

the sound of success success is starting

to sound a little different

wolf watchers hundreds and thousands of

them have transformed Yellowstone's

once-quiet northern range into a wolf

watching metropolis

oh so now it's become best place in the

world to be wolves not just united

states with the world we had started the

wolf watching when the packs were first

introduced in 1995 and just got glimpses

of them in 95 and 96 but then starting

97 making more serious school vouchers

and we were really hot this year be

about seven years we've been out

watching walls this point I'd come about

once a month and i'm here for the whole

summer now

I've been coming out every day for

almost five years now that started on

jun 11 2012 I'm jun 11 2005 will be

everyday for exactly five years you just

can't wait to read that is on the

internet at home and you're you know you

just you just think I need more

what are they doing today i will be back

in full camber and then again during

winter yeah this will be a this will be

a lifetime deal for us

sure some people warned that the

constant presence of people is making

wolves lose their natural fear of humans

you can't have the most visible group of

wolves in the world and not have some

people problems

I mean with some national resources

certainly pristine ones everybody deals

with the issue of loving it to death in

the northern range all the walls are

exposed to people especially that you

repeat back there they're marinated in

people and so we've we really had

actively manage the people the first

couple years we had a hard time and I

didn't know what to do because i didn't

think that was going to be that visible

and I didn't think that this many people

would would come in to see him and

persevere to see him and the tour guides

would come and so we do walk a tightrope

quite often trying to protect the Wolves

to maintain their wildness at the same

time provide for visitor enjoyment

she was if roles become too comfortable

around people they might become bold and

hurt someone if that happens wolves

might face the firing line once more

it's up to duck to make sure that

doesn't happen you know now that wolves

are phenomena here and people come to

see them that's going to be another big

part of my role and and keeping the most

loved wolf population in the world safe

free Wolves can be wolves because

they're getting hemmed in by people

there isn't enough wrong or enough

wolves to go around so we at the same

time have to promote and restrict wolves

are the only animals to get a little too

comfortable around people with over

three million visitors to the park every

year a lot of animals have become

unafraid of humans with potentially

dangerous consequences

but wolves are different with passion so

high about the Wolves the animals ride a

very fine line between love and hate and

it's Doug's job to make sure that that

balance stays in the Wolves favor he

turns to scientific research to protect

both wolves and people routinely boards

a small plane and tracks the wolves from

overhead via their radio collars to make

sure they're staying safe and out of

trouble

Radio colouring maybe one of the most

important tools to modern-day well I

biologists it may be the most single

most important technique for studying

walls

unless we know something about wolves

the controversy is going to grow but if

we know it was really like what they do

how they behave what they eat what they

don't need how much they need all that

comes from Radio college

country's big

dude

do

like

we doing

because adults

from the air

Doug can not only spot the wolves but he

can sometimes even find their den back

on ground he and deb guernsey a member

of the Yellowstone wolf project set out

to find one of the dens that Doug is

seen from the air

I think this is it but we can ultimately

compare this against photos but the

reason I think it's it is because look

at how much more dirt is thrown out Doug

record the size depth and location of

each of the dens that he finds 35

centimeters tall x 37 centimeters wide

the information provides valuable clues

as to why some wolves might be getting

so tolerant of people if adult wolves

are used to people enough to dig their

dens next to the road then their pups

see people from the first time they

emerge from the den by documenting the

movements of the Wolves Doug hopes to

give future scientists the background

information they need in case they have

to start managing wolves more

aggressively while the ultimate fate of

the species is unknown

one thing's a given the new wolf hunters

are here to stay

well I think people are fascinated by

wolves because

people don't really have direct contact

with nature anymore we don't have touch

with wild things and wolves may be the

defining feature of wildness and further

there's something we can't have wolves

won't succumb to our way of life and as

humans we want everything our appetites

are insatiable and so it's that not

letting us have it is what makes wolves

loved and hated

DISCOVER GEYSERS AT YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - Duration: 6:13.

there is a lot of discussion nowadays

about why yellowstone was made the

world's first national part put yourself

back in 1865 and you come into this area

is the remoteness what is unique know

when you find the town in 1865 in the

rocky mountains that was unique where

the wildlife know you lived off the

wildlife was a spectacular scenery know

Rocky Mountain area was known for its

seeming what was unique in the eighteen

sixties eighteen seventies to the people

who came here were the thermal features

mmm

there's approximately 950 900 geysers

worldwide we have over 500 of those in

Yellowstone this is a geologic part

first and foremost that's why it was set

aside and today it encompasses 2.2

million acres of pretty wild land more

geysers in this smile and a half or so

than any place else in the world

Yellowstone is a great place to see

geology alive and in action

daily we need to have places where

people can experience these unique

natural phenomena for themselves

I live in Minnesota and this is not

something I see every day so I enjoy

coming out here just to see something

different something that's part of

nature and something that's a lot bigger

than I am when you see boiling water

shoot a hundred and fifty feet into the

air on its own accord

then you're like wow that's that is

definitely something that we're just a

small piece in this really cool world a

geyser is basically a hot spring that

erupts it acts like a pressure cooker

and so when that pressure is released

all the water underneath flashes to

steam pushes the water out and do a

geyser eruptions so it's basically like

nature's natural fountain

every eruption is unique and beautiful

in its own way

geysers have their own unique

personality some are very unpredictable

if you are predictable depending on the

wind and the pressure of the water and

how much you charge you get different

eruptions

geysers are what we call mathematically

chaotic systems slight variations and

the amount of cold water coming in the

amount of heat coming up a change in the

plumbing system can give you

dramatically different results and what

I enjoy seeing is not the

reproducibility of geysers but the

infinite variety even within a single

geyser we're lucky we can predict the

five or six that we can that can vary

from year to year whether or not we can

predict maybe we have bigger window

around them i think it teaches us to

respect natural systems that don't

operate on our timeframe guys are like

old faithful has a name for a reason and

it is fairly faithful its period between

eruptions as lengthen from 60 minutes to

about 90 minutes over the last 30 years

will that continue we don't know someday

may Old Faithful stop

yes but the main point of this National

Park is to let natural geologic

processes go on without we as humans

affecting

we preserve them not for what they can

do for us in terms of something economic

but in terms of what they do for our

hearts

ok

PREDICTING GEYSERS AT YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - Duration: 5:05.

normally go on vacation they have a

schedule that they use so we're going to

have lunch at noon or one o'clock we're

gonna go scuba diving at three o'clock

and were able to use the clock to base

our activities on but here at Old

Faithful we don't use the regular

12-hour clock that everyone else uses

it's all about Old Faithful so when

people choose to have their lunch or

their dinner for their nap or their walk

through the geyser basin all is based on

when the old faith was going to wrap so

they can be sure to see it

old faithfuls getting ready to erupt

so I am trying to time it up and their

goats so meaning the stopwatch and I'm

i'm noting the time on the atomic clock

at 1258 which is pretty good considering

that the prediction was 1259 so we're

getting closer and closer now I'm going

to measure all faithful so as the plume

of water gets higher and higher and the

window i'm comparing it to this tree

right over here and i'm using this

picture which has a triangulation set up

to identify how high the water went on

the tree and what i figured out old

faithfuls hit its peak already was that

it came to about right here which is

about a hundred and forty feet so in the

logbook in addition to the start time

i'm going to record a hundred and forty

as the height of the soulful which is

the tallest one today just a nice

and then all i need to do is keep an eye

on the timer and see how long Old

Faithful ass and that's all going to

determine how we predict the next one

also going to record the interval

between people in this one which is 89

minutes we take those intervals and we

use those to make our average basically

use observation all faithful to figure

out how to predict it and it changes

through time just a couple weeks ago we

were using eight minutes for a longer

ruption and now we're using 90 minutes

because we figured out that was going to

give us the better average so old

faithful is now been going 41 minutes 48

seconds it's still going strong

if it lasts longer than three-and-a-half

minutes then we have what we call a long

eruption which is the most frequent form

of Old Faithful eruptions it's a bimodal

geyser it has long and it has shorts if

it's going to have a short i would

expect that any minute now it would just

suddenly stopped if it were to do that i

would go ahead and predict it for 62

minutes but it looks to me like it's

probably going to be a long still a lot

of water coming out of it were two and a

half minutes now so we're going to wait

another minute and make sure that Old

Faithful is a true Long we're going to

the point where the water is pretty low

right now so I'm gonna be using the

binoculars to determine the difference

between the water and the steam we will

consider the eruption done until there's

no more water coming out you're still

getting kind of big spurts of water

coming out of old faithful

most of the people have turned away now

we are at three and a half minutes so

we're going to consider this to be a

long eruption but i am going to wait in

record okay and it's done so three

minutes 42 seconds star start time was

1258 so our next prediction would be go

158 and then go to 220 alright 220 in

the book and then the next thing I have

to do is tell the world this is 74

victory with your faithful prediction

old faithful geyser is predicted to rep

at 28 p.m. just minus ten minutes

DISCOVER YELLOWSTONE BEARS - Duration: 2:39.

you're watching inside Yellowstone

Yellowstone is home to two species of

bears many visitors are rewarded with

sightings of black bears and grizzly

bears in the wild though it's dangerous

and unlawful to feed bears

this used to be a common practice in the

past in fact bears often waited along

the roadsides for handouts from passing

motorist and entered campgrounds in

search of food

there's fed nightly and open garbage

dumps in the park visitors watched the

close proximity of humans and bears was

dangerous for both species many park

visitors were injured by bears or

suffered property damage and many bears

were killed or removed from the park

eventually the park decided that human

foods should not be available to bears

now we have special bear-proof garbage

cans and visitors are very good about

keeping a clean camp and not allowing

bears to get human foods the number of

injuries and incidents of property

damage due to bears has plummeted and

bears are safer now as well

the bears no longer line up along the

roadsides are congregated open garbage

dumps many people still see them from

their cars

it's all the more exciting to glimpse

pairs in their natural habitat foraging

for food and interacting with their

young in 2006 bears caused over 700

traffic jams while visitors got to peak

at bears in the wild doing what they do

naturally if you would like to see a

bear think like a bear Grizzlies often

forage and open meadows while black

bears prefer to stick to the trees or

the edges of forest where there's more

cover during the summer months

there's often a nap during the heat of

the day and more active at dusk and dawn

think about what foods are searching for

in the spring it might be winter killed

animals newly-born elk calves and

flowers they may be fishing for spawning

trout are rooting for grubs and insects

roots tubers and other vegetation or

small mammals berries and white bark

pine nuts are tasty treats in the fall

as our army cutworm moths and the high

elevation talus slopes

they're amazing to watch just remember

that Yellowstone's bears are wild and

you should never surprised or approach

them keep at least a hundred yards from

bears at all times and do not disturb

the natural behaviors they have a lot of

eating to do in the summer and fall to

be healthy enough to have Cubs and sleep

all winter long

DISCOVER THE NORTHERN RANGE AT YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - Duration: 6:16.

the northern range is the hub of

wildlife and Yellowstone so much of the

wildlife and Yellowstone lives here

it's ten percent of the area the park

yet half the wolves live here it's

arguably the most carnivore rich area in

North America and it's been studied a

lot the northern range has been referred

to as the Serengeti of north america and

that's because of the vast numbers of

angular species mostly and so when

people look out they may in one

afternoon in the valley bottom of

northern range valley they may see bison

elk pronghorn mule deer wolves and bears

and all of these species interacting

with each other

well the northern range is the northern

area of the park where the northern

Yellowstone elk herd spends the winter

so it's winter range for the biggest elk

herd in apart and it's probably the

densest year-round wolf population at

any location in north america we roughly

have 35 to 40 wolves year-round in the

park portion of the normal range but

we've been as dense as a hundred walls

just in the northern part of Yellowstone

and we have pretty high bear densities

and currencies as well so we have a

great mix of carnivore species and we

have high density you know 50 years ago

that was not the case

we came into the northern range as

Yellowstone was designated a park and

changed a lot of things so wolves

coyotes mountain lions bears to some

degree were all being removed in bath

numbers walls were eliminated by people

directly in the early part of the 20th

century

so what happens when you kill off the

Predators well the prey increases to

very high levels and starts impact on

the environment and by doing that the

Elkhorn shot up and no one really knows

how high they shot up twenty thirty

thousand was the estimate figure and

they were degrading the environment

our policy on helping restore nature's

fairly clear if humans did it will help

the system get back on the right track

so what was missing all these carnivores

and so they were not performing their

ecological function

Cougars came back to lesson on their own

through natural dispersal we start

seeing signs of that in the eighties and

we reintroduced wolves in the

mid-nineties and now that wolves and

cougars have been restored and bears

have increased the new story is about

what happened to all the l and what is

happening to the willow and aspen now

that the Elco declined and these

carnivores are back

willow is relied on by a lot of animals

and so it's kind of a positive feedback

loop the more willows there are the more

moose and beaver and the healthier the

ecosystem because of those animals being

involved too and so beavers are of

course nature's engineers and they'll

build lodges and dams that will help

raise the water tables and raising the

water table is one of the things that

the Willows rely on the most they can't

deal with cut banks and swiftly moving

creaks they have to have that slow

moving water so the smaller elk herd is

more natural

we're seeing a responsive will own Aspen

will choose to be suppressed

we've got wolves and cougars back we've

got more bears so Yellowstone system now

is a national parks of a success story

I think the northern range is incredibly

unique not only for the Greater

Yellowstone Ecosystem but for the world

protecting Yellowstone is important to

just protect the species that live here

but also provide people a place to be

able to see natural processes and use

that throughout their life for making

decisions on what they think is

important i think a huge value of the

national parks is to instill all of

nature into people going out on

landscape filled grizzly bears is not

the same as you know going to the mall

and seen wolves bring down an elk or

seeing to wolf pack's clash right in

front of you are life-altering events

there's no question we are changing

people's lives by having places like

Yellowstone and the northern range is

probably the heart of the park and the

parts the heart of the ecosystem so it's

all built upon each other but it

ground zeroes in northern range

How to Make Thai Chili Frog (ผัดเผ็ดกบ) — Delicious Village Thai Food Eating! - Duration: 12:10.

- We're all sitting down for lunch now

and they also have a couple of other dishes

that Ying's mom and aunt made.

I'm gonna start with the frog though.

(cheerful ukulele music)

Hey everyone, it's Mark Wiens with migrationology.com.

I'm in Nakhon Sawan in central Thailand

and today for lunch,

Ying's aunt said that she's gonna cook up some frog.

So stay tuned for some delicious frog.

And also I wanna remind you,

if you're not already subscribed,

make sure you click subscribe

for lots more food and travel videos.

Okay, now I'm kinda squatting in the banana field.

Let's go see what she's cooking.

She's getting ready to cook right over there.

Right now at first she's just pounding up

some chilies and garlic.

Oh yeah, there's a whole bag of green peppercorns here.

Oh, these are one of my favorite things

in the entire world.

I love them so much that I need to

take a bite of it right now.

And then she's pounding it now with the--

(speaking in foreign language)

Now she's pounding it up with the curry paste.

(loud crunching and pounding)

(package rustling)

(speaking in foreign language)

These are some big meaty frogs.

You can see those muscles on those hind legs.

(speaking in foreign language)

(cheerful ukulele music)

(loud pounding)

(speaking in foreign language)

I think she's not gonna mince it fully

but just kinda chop it up

into little bite size kinda pieces.

That is some really meaty frog.

Okay and as she is finishing chopping the frog,

I'm gonna snack on some green pepper.

(loud crunching)

I love it.

Oh, it's so spicy

when it's fresh like this.

And so much of a like pure pepper flavor.

Oh it's wonderful.

I can snack on this like popcorn.

It's so good.

And this one is spicy

but sometimes it can be spicier.

Like sometimes it can really,

oh okay, I can feel that burning down my throat now.

Lighting up that wok

and first goes in a bunch of oil.

Oh, a bunch of oil.

And then in goes all of that curry paste

and chilies and garlic that she pounded up.

Oh, that's like a, an oil bath.

That is gonna bring out some serious flavor.

(loud scraping and sizzling)

That curry paste and chilies is just kinda

sizzling in that oil for a little while

and she is washing some of the green peppercorns.

(speaking foreign language)

(loud scraping and sizzling)

This aroma of frying chilies and garlic and curry paste

just never gets old.

It's one of the greatest aromas on earth.

And now goes in the frog,

all of that frog.

(loud scraping and sizzling)

(laughing)

(speaking foreign language)

And as that frog is cooking away

she's taking the leaves off some bai kaphrao

which is holy basil.

I'm gonna go ahead and stir up the frog.

Oh, this is gonna be oily and delicious.

(loud scraping and sizzling)

And she just said that if you add a lot of the holy basil

it will smell really good.

It will have a really nice fragrance.

And then in go all of those green peppercorns.

And then the final step is to add in all of the basil

and you always wanna add the basil at the end

and then immediately turn off the fire

or not cook it very long

because it will start to lose its flavor

as it cooks longer.

So you just wanna basically throw it in at the end

let it use the heat from the preexisting meat and oil

and things inside of the dish

and just let that holy basil wilt into the dish.

(loud scraping and sizzling)

(speaking in foreign language)

That's a countryside style hot pad.

And it is ready.

She said it's fully cooked

and all that basil has just wilted down.

We're all sitting down for lunch now

and they also have a couple of other dishes

that Ying's mom and aunt made.

They're a selection of fried meats and fish.

This is the dried fried catfish.

This is another dried fried fish.

Some moo tod, which is fried pork.

And then I'm gonna, I'm gonna start with the frog though.

It's definitely on the oily side

but it looks and smells so good.

Oh, I gotta get some of that basil though too.

Big chunk of basil there.

Alright, let me start with this.

And I'm not sure, I think the best way

will just be to bite it, eat it,

and then remove the bones.

Oh yeah.

Or maybe you can just bite right through the bones.

Or maybe not.

It is pretty oily but that flavor is incredible.

The red chilies.

What I really like are the green peppercorns in there.

The garlic, the basil.

It's just a harmony of wonderful flavors

and even as much chili as is in there,

it's not extremely spicy.

But it just has a really wonderful chili fragrance.

(cheerful ukulele music)

Okay, I'm gonna start next with this fish

and even (speaking foreign language).

Yeah it is pla salid, which is some type of gourami

and fried like a chip.

Oh, like a serious chip.

Yeah, it's like a salty fish jerky.

You gotta really chew that up to get through those bones

but it is really good.

(cheerful ukulele music)

It's so good but

frog is something

you don't really wanna eat when you're in a hurry

'cause you have a lot of

eating around little bones to do.

But every bit that you get tastes so good.

Do I have some?

I'm trying to look at that screen.

I think I might have some chili oil on my chin

that got stuck on my chin.

But that was delicious food.

Eating frog is kind of like eating crab.

It's one of those things that you wanna leisurely eat

and you have to take your time eating.

You don't wanna eat it quickly

due to having to navigate your way around the little bones.

But the flavor that comes out of it,

frog is just delicious.

I love eating meals like that

where you're just sitting here.

And also just a quick cultural tip.

Often times in the countryside in Thailand,

they will cook up some dishes in the middle of the day

and then you'll eat

and then that food,

they'll save that food for later in the day,

maybe the next meal

or whenever you get hungry next.

But I am stuffed and ready to relax.

That was a great lunch.

Thank you very much to Ying and her family

and her aunt especially for cooking up that frog

which was especially for me, she said.

She wanted to cook it for me.

And my mouth is on fire.

That was wonderful.

And then right behind the house,

there are a bunch of fruit trees

and I'm not sure of the name of the fruit in English

but it's a little berry like fruit.

And let me see if I can find one.

Oh there's one.

There's one right over there.

(speaking in foreign language)

In Thai this is called dakob.

Oh, it's so sweet.

And the only reason I know what it tastes like already

because I've been snacking on them before lunch.

But it explodes very similar to a blueberry

But it explodes very similar to a blueberry

with all those little seeds.

But then it has a taste

almost like a really really really overripe mango.

Really sweet and like pulpy.

Micah wants to quickly say goodbye to all of you.

Micah, say goodbye.

Micah.

He had a good lunch while I was eating as well.

While I was eating that frog.

Micah, I can't wait 'til you can eat some frog too.

Oh, he opened his mouth.

(laughing)

Oh, he drooled when I said frog.

I'm gonna end this little lunch video

in Nakhon Sawan right here.

Thank you all very much for watching.

Please remember to give this video a thumbs up

if you enjoyed it.

And also make sure you click subscribe

for lots more food and travel videos.

Thank you again for watching.

Hope you're having a great day

and have a delicious lunch today.

I will see you on the next video.

Magical Girl Eudaemonics Osomatsu-san English Sub (Mahou Shoujo Koufukuron) - Duration: 3:20.

Magical Girl Eudaemonics

By myself, I always Marberica

Taking a swing in general, a boring miracle

Chances to save people and do mischief,

Anything will be granted, Magisperica

Avoiding even plainness, Soliterica

Why do I need to hide it? A tragic law, flawed convictions and restraints

Things like that!

Everyday I'm sick of getting bad grades

TV and weekly magazines, yes

The future, my expectations, are all shaking

But if I don't change my answer, there's no meaning to it

Just for today, it's fine if I break my promise

Selfishly changed happiness wars

For example, if the world ended overnight

and I could use a little bit of magic

I know I shouldn't be able

to be tricked by such jokes, but

Let me be reborn

Always as a child, Malberica

Bare steel frames, a garden neglected at 3 A.M.

I'm scared of becoming an adult

and I'm scared this long night will be interrupted

saying "it's like magic!"

Immersed in this sensation, even if I try wishing for it,

I know it's nothing but playing with dolls

However, even if I bear the burden of sin,

I won't, even if I hate it, throw away and bury the future I want

Even if you say you won't let me forget about this day,

even if you make me known it'll blind me

Only this night, my pulse is cruelly changed

scorched with envy

Urging that this satisfaction will never be filled

There's nothing like noble love there

Saying that I want to forgive that kind of me,

I continue to believe in

the promise I couldn't keep

Like always, even my emotions are unsightly

the illusions of the blindly believing girl brought up with care

Will certainly splinter off without her realizing

That miracles no longer rain down from the skies

For example, if even magic that disturbed the earth

couldn't break the crystallization of my feelings

Someone who lost themselves in a universe

wrapping and sinking in a maelstrom of desire,

An invader of love!

The world ending just overnight, among other things,

being able to use a bit of magic, among other things,

In wanting to try loving within that kind of joke,

I want to hear

The world's everything within you

Thanks for watching!

Jim Rohn: How to Attract Wealth (Law of Attraction) - Duration: 23:44.

this is a good list that i put together

inspired by a couple of others and my

own contribution and i'd like to share

this list with you first learning the

power of purpose a person who has

purpose in their life they have

something to go for some meaning one

writer described it for some people it

becomes a magnificent obsession and for

you and I maybe it doesn't need to be

that dramatic as a magnificent of

section but it has to be something that

does something to us something that

pulls us especially into the future you

know there are many influences on this

one is the influence of the past some

people are always pulled back back back

by the past

some people are always pulled aside by

the distraction of the distraction but

here's what's powerful if you have a

list of high purpose in your life

it pulls you toward the future and the

more powerful the purpose is the

stronger it pulls and here's the other

great advantage if you have purpose for

the future

it pulls you through all kinds of

challenges and all kinds of difficulty

if you don't have the strong purposes

for the future

it's easy to get swallowed by a bad day

it's easy to be almost annihilated by a

poor month and it's easy sometimes to

almost disappear beneath the waves of a

a year that goes backwards if you don't

have something to pull you beyond that

year so if you want something to pull

you through all kinds of challenges all

kinds of difficulties and things that

come at you you've got to have something

on out there beyond today beyond next

week

beyond next month beyond this year that

pulls you into the future and the

clearer it is the stronger it pulled the

board the more dynamic it is the more it

affects your life your spirit your heart

your soul

it also creates imagination it gets your

mind working on how to achieve

that purpose and if your mind will work

if your heart work with your spirit work

and if you have good input like good

ideas i'm feeling that there isn't

anything you can't accomplish so that's

one of the great powers that will make a

variable of you and that is perfect

here's the next one self-confidence

where does self confidence come from and

this is the best advice I can give you

on that not neglecting first of all the

small daily discipline self confidence

really comes from feeling good about

yourself and one of the best way to feel

good about yourself is at the end of the

day to know that you poured it on you

did your best if you conducted a meeting

you did the best you could if you made a

phone call it was the best phone calls

you could probably make if you wrote a

letter it wasn't a casual letter it was

your best later at the end of those kind

of days when you feel good about

yourself self confidence starts to rise

you know that if you can have this kind

of a good day you can have another one

the next day and those days become the

week the week's become the month and the

month becomes a powerful year self

confidence comes from the lack of

neglect

if you will not neglect to do small

daily discipline that's where

self-confidence coastal part of good

health and self-confident i know i'm

going to be healthy i take the herbalife

product i eat the apple a day I walk

around the block

I do the jogging on the beach at the end

of the day when you really poured it on

and you've done all the stuff

self-confidence growth that

self-confidence affects your health that

affect your future defects your psyche

so this is true one of the great powers

is self confidence self confidence means

willingness to do whatever it takes to

achieve some people say we'll all do it

for a little while and see what happens

you know i'll try a couple of things

that doesn't work I'm out of here and

all of us knows that that's kind of

person doesn't have much of a future but

if you're willing to do whatever it

takes if I have to learn a couple of

things i will learn those things I got

to learn five or six things I learn all

six if I have to take an extra class

i'll take extra classes I've got to read

the books i read the book if I have to

consult with people who know more than i

know i will do the necessary consulting

whatever it takes I will do that starts

to develop unbelievable self-confidence

self-confidence also comes from the

ability to rise above your circumstance

to rise above what happened

the petty little thing the discouraging

things that would think everyone else

ship except you that would cause someone

else to quit early in the day but you

keep going

that kind of willingness to overcome all

circumstance whether it's a little

challenges of the big challenges if

you're willing to do that I promise you

this kind of power will work for you and

then use a variable it'll make a

difference

the third on the list i had was

enthusiasm and here's what i wrote about

enthusiasm Susie azum that's powerful is

mostly enthusiasm that is enthusiasm

inside ninety percent ten percent

outside we all know what the enthusiasm

is like when somebody lets us see their

enthusiasm which isn't like the ninety

percent and only ten percent of this is

inside but the enthusiasm that really

affects people it's not just being loud

but the enthusiasm that runs deep the

enthusiasm that comes from deep inside

created by self-confidence created by

purpose created by genuine willingness

to help other people that kind of

enthusiasm knowing that you're going to

get the job done knowing you're going to

affect people knowing you're going to

have testimonials flowing in from all

kinds of a direction that kind of

enthusiasm a lot of it is quiet a lot of

it is unheard and the 10-percent the

turd it rings a bell people call it

genuine enthusiasm because they know

that what you say in the outward display

of your enthusiasm is only a small tip

of the iceberg of the enthusiasm you

feel inside that really motivates you to

do the best job you can

next on my list to help you become the

powerful variable is expertise wanting

to excel in all of the skills and

settling for nothing less than an

outstanding performance if you're

willing to be the best in your field if

you're willing to demand of yourself

excellent excuse

to be the best that you can possibly be

in the training do the best you possibly

can in doing our workshop do the best

you got to begin developing the skills

of using your personality developing the

skills of language developing the skills

of influence developing the skills of

organizing if you're willing to be an

expert in all of the skills

herbalife has the way for you to invest

those fields and not only make a chance

of living not only make a lot of money

but if you was so desire and if it would

be your purpose a chance to make your

fortune expertise excellence in skills

here with the next on my list making a

powerful contribution to use a variable

and that is preparation well prepared in

preparation of course involves a whole

lot of thing a big share of our life is

preparing getting ready when we go to

the first grade in school were just

preparing for the second grade after we

finish to grade the two grades for tear

us for number three

sometimes it seems like a long

excruciating time and the time will just

thing like it'll never come when we can

finally have the performance that we

really want but it takes time to prepare

take time to get ready and the decisions

you make in the preparation time

those are the decisions that last for a

lifetime preparing to have a good day

it's that preparing maybe the night

before maybe a couple of days before the

day that you're going to put everything

together the preparation for a meeting

means that you've taken a serious the

preparation for doing a workshop mean

you're serious about the workshop you

want to make the best contribution that

kind of preparation is important but

here's preparation is very violent and

that is to prepare yourself for success

life seemingly does not wish to waste

except on the unprepared life says why

waste the fortune on this person they're

not prepared to do the right things with

they're not prepared to use it wisely if

a fortune was bestowed upon this

unprepared person it would probably be

wasted the people that could have been

text will be touched

what could have been done will be done

because this fortune will have been

wasted on the unprepared person so not

only look for fortune not only look for

the promise but prepare yourself and

asking yourself what can i do to make

myself ready because remember life was

designed not to give us what we want not

to give us what we need but life was

designed to give us what we deserve

every value in life must be paid for and

those that pay are the ones that get it

it says those that give receive such as

I wish to receive I wish to receive you

don't have to concentrate on receives

just become a good giver it says those

that search will find someone says I

need to find some good ideas to help

change my life for the future then to

find good idea that doesn't come because

you need to this because it comes

because you search for them if you want

good ideas you've got to go after you've

got to go to the class you got to go to

the workshop you got to go to the

training go to the book right you've got

to go to the journal right go where good

ideas are being taught those searching

go looking because good ideas are not

going to be wasted on those that are not

seeking searching well prepared so

prepare yourself to be ready for fortune

when it comes to be ready for a

challenge when it comes to be ready for

opportunity when it comes

opportunity comes along and passes by

the person that is not well prepared

I want to prepare myself this year for

next year

yes I wish to be affected this year but

i'm also thinking of wait how could i be

better how could my ideas be more

powerful how could they be sharper more

clear how can i reach some people

next year that I craft can't reach this

year I haven't reached deep enough into

my own soul to effect some people some

people just pass by and say hey what a

good speech but how can i make it

stronger the net deeper than that more

powerful to them i cannot be as powerful

as I could be next year you know you

can't go to the to the 10th grade in the

fifth grade

you just got to go through the grades

but the more you are prepared when the

10th grade finally comes now you can

cash in and get 2 times 3 times 5 times

more value from it by being prepared

I want to do my best this year for

herbalife but i also want to get ready

for next year 1999 and then when the

year 2000 comes at the turn of the

century

I want to be well equipped by language

by instinct by temperament by

personality by influence to really be

valuable the year 2000 2001 2345 that's

my goal

I'm sure that your goal now here's the

next one

there's great power in self-reliance

self-reliance means you simply look

mostly to yourself it would be nice if

someone just gave you this gave you this

gave you this it would be nice if

everyone did their job exactly as

they're supposed to do it but here's

what you got to do primarily rely on

yourself primarily say I'm the person

responsible and i will learn the

necessary skills so that I can help

people learn their skills if I need lots

of people to do certain things to build

my organization that is what I must have

but I've got to be the final backstop

I've got to be the final one that people

can rely on so that this is missed and

this is missed

I can catch up i can fill the gap i can

do the job we have to do it when we

conduct meetings we have to do it when

we conduct training we have to do it

when you're in a class of just a few

what someone might have missed

we're there to fill in

self-reliant primarily we're learning to

count on yourself so that you can do

this

never complain never explain

here's the next keep our net image

there's many parts to image the image

that others see you add the image you

have with other people and it's very

important how other people see you if

they don't see you as a leader chances

are they won't pay attention that they

don't see you as being in control

chances are they won't have the truck if

they don't see you as knowing where

you're going what you want to accomplish

they probably won't follow but if people

can see you if you have the image of

someone that's in charge in control in

control of your life your future your

destiny in control of the situation if

they see that that kind of image is

powerful

it helps to win the day it attracts

other people people want to be around

people that are in control that are

powerful but they know how to use their

power influential but they know how to

use their influence that kind of image

is important but here's a very important

image and that is your image of your

self the way you dress the way you talk

the way you think

your capacity for learning all of that

is an important image that you have of

yourself

the image that you have that it needs to

be learned you could learn it if there's

a book that needs to be mastered you

could master it if there's a skill that

needs to be learned why couldn't you get

busy now and learn that field that kind

of self image that I am continually

trying my best to be the best I can

because one of the most important places

you have to look because into the future

yes you've got to look into the past

yes you've got to look around yes but

one of the most important places you

have to look at in the mirror you know

how I appear to other people that's

important but how I appear to myself is

the ultimate important that kind of

image the where you'll develop the

self-confidence to develop the

self-reliance

now here's another one

in my rather short list the next word is

character becoming a person of high

values a person of principle a person of

honesty a person that earn respect

that kind of character and character

when Mark started to put the marketing

system together

how can we have a system that will build

in the integrity that people will know

that if this happens when this will

happen and if this goes wrong here's the

way to fix it unless you have the

principles and the character and the

integrity to put together a viable plan

for a wide variety of people then the

system is not going to last very long

and I've been around long enough and i'm

sure you have been around long enough to

see a lot of systems that got started

but they failed and the reason is

because they were not constructed with

integrity they were not constructed with

character they were not constructed with

doing the right thing they might have

been constructed to take advantage you

know cash it out as quickly as possible

and leave mark was involved with others

took advantage of him all those years

ago before below when someone took

advantage and didn't have the character

didn't have the principles and didn't

have the the character to stay the

character to see it through the

character to do the right thing

so this is important to develop the

characters within yourself that people

see you as honest and fair willing to do

the right thing willing to be helpful

but always willing to walk the

centerline not to pass the line when we

come to an opportunity like Herbalife

especially multi-level network marketing

it is so dynamic it is so powerful and

it is so possible in fortunately that

sometimes people want to speed up the

process by cutting the corner by

neglecting to do the right thing you

know to cheat a little here cheat a

little here you know across the line

just a little bit because then you know

it'll grow faster and you can cash in

quicker not necessary here doing

herbalife right we'll build your fortune

longer and stronger than trying to cut

the corners and not doing it right

if you'll have will have the integrity

that Mark had when he started it and

keep perpetuating that that we will do

the right thing by the marketing system

the right thing by a distributor who has

a customer and they take care of that

customer that customer belongs to that

distributor that kind of integrity in

the marketing system the kind of

integrity we have among each other the

kind of character we have to rely on

each other because here's week what we

cannot do we cannot do this by are

clearly marked up to count on me I've

got to count on mark we've got the count

on the president the president team have

to count on the Chairman's club for

advice and counsel we have to count on

The Millionaire team the tabulator King

the world team we've got to count on the

distributor we've got to keep count on

the distributor giving the right message

to the potential customers we've got the

account on the distributor giving wise

counsel to the new recruits teaching

them the right way the herbalife way the

principles way the character would

vitally important building and

developing your own carrot

now here's another one called

self-discipline

self-discipline all of us have a

challenge with that because sometimes

it's easy and efficient if you're

working hard doing the best you can it's

easy sometimes to let up and let it go

but remember so many people especially

now that we're as big as we are around

the world are counting on what we do at

home office they have to be careful they

have to be disciplined it's easy for the

person who shifts the product from

herbalife those oh well I'll wait until

tomorrow to ship it and then they go

home and sleep like a baby but the

distributor who's waiting for that

product doesn't sleep that or doesn't

sleep when the product doesn't show on

time but if everybody will have the

discipline to say I will do the best job

I can i will make mistakes of course

because we're all human but i'll try to

remedy those mistakes and do the best

job I can't that kind of self-discipline

that understands how important your part

is in all of the functions that work

coming to work on the set here

hbn there's so many people that play

apart and each one of the parts that are

played is necessary to put on the

broadcast make it viable make it real

make it powerful any couple of the

missing and it would be a disaster but

all of it put together and it works like

a charm

each person developing the

self-discipline to do their part do

their job

here's one more

and that is the power of extraordinary

performance and demanding of yourself

excellent results this is so important

if you want to live

extraordinary you must do extraordinary

if you want an extraordinary income you

must do extraordinary things if you want

an extraordinary fortune

you must go with the demand of what it

take to have that fortune mark is made

such an unfortunate it's almost beyond

comprehension but the numbers really are

but guess what he has the satisfaction

of knowing he earned at all if he'd have

been laxing the performance herbalife

would not be here these 18 years later

herbalife would have been a footnote in

multi-level history but because he

performed year after year the third year

in the 50 years and the seventh year and

the tenth you and the 12th year in the

15th year and now performing well in the

18th year i'm telling you that's what

makes it such a viable fortune for Mark

personally of course because he did the

job if we would ask of ourselves that

kind of performance and you've got to

ask it of yourself you know I can't ask

it of you i would try to inspire you I

would through try my bestest share with

you what it might taste like what it's

like to finally make your fortune that

happened for me but here's what you must

do you must demand it of yourself

society does not demand that you not

have a heart attack but if you want to

escape having a heart attack you must

demand it of yourself

society doesn't demand that you take

herbalife and improve your health you

have to demand it of yourself

society doesn't demand that you jog

around the block every morning but if

you want good health you must demand it

of yourself

society doesn't demand that you read a

couple of books a week and improve your

intelligence and your knowledge that you

must demand of yourself society does not

demand that you build a financial wall

around your face

only nothing can get through that's not

a demand of society but you must demand

it if you wish it you must demand it of

yourself

society doesn't demand that you learn a

list of ten skills

[eng subs in progress] 孟瑞+王博文 不可抗力网易哒哒Meng Rui + Wang Bowen Netease Dada Interview - Duration: 56:32.

ok dear viewers, after such a long foreplay (notes: yes that's exactly what the interviewer said), we are finally ready to start the interview formally

foreplay

ok, can the both of you please say hi to our viewers?

Hello, viewers of Netease Dada, I'm the person who plays Shu Nian in Uncontrolled Love, Xiaobai Wang Bowen

Hello everyone, I'm the one who plays Xie Yan in Uncontrolled Love, Meng Rui

Meng Rui~

hello everyone I'm the host for today

actually we have prepared many questions today, but the question I want to ask first is, Shaoye, what do you think of Xiaobai's hairstyle today?

actually I feel... it's a different style

because he had done white previously

and I feel that he looks pretty good with white hair

and then..

this is grey

ah grey, yes, it's a grey-ish tone

he can change it up more often. Just like me, I have changed my hairstyle today too, right?

actually mine is not dyed

it's also not because of any hair wax or products. it's because I got too angry last night that my hair turned white.

why?

He published a post on weibo

ah, it's that "hubby" post

I don't know what post it is

In any case, I don't really like that post

I have already placed him in my weibo's blacklist

so now I can't see his posts

why don't you like that post?

it's because he's too..

do you not like it because of the comments or?

too many people calling him hubby?

no no, it's because he's too...... messy!

I don't like people like that

ok, so now let's start the q&a section formally

so because we have got strictly only 1 hour allocated for this interview today

even though we would really like to do this for the full 24 hours / W: strictly 1 hour only....

so you are placing the blame on us, is that it?

you wanted to do this for 24 hours but we can only stay for 1 hour and have to leave, is that it?

it's that we wish to do a 24 hours live stream of you both, because if that's the case, we'll have no problem getting the viewing rates

so now we have 17 questions, and these were picked from the questions posed by the folks on weibo

so now we'll start to ask

the first question is we would like to know how did the two of you feel after watching the second part to Uncontrolled Love?

because someone discovered the key phrase, which is "watching the movie while huddled together on the bed" on Shaoye's weibo post

how did they know that?

so, let's start by talking about your thoughts/feelings

fought with each other

after we watched it

actually I feel, with regards to the movie, after watching it, we did have quite some reflections and thoughts

after all we have filmed it together, and we can still recall all the scenes vivdly

and now, this is presented to us, after putting back together all those bits and pieces

I heard that, that night, a lot of the fans, netizens etc after watching it, commented on not being quite as impressive

it's not quite as impactful as they thought

because they felt that a lot of things were cut

But what I want to say is that, if we are to give this work its due respect

we should focus on the character and the overall plot

of course, those things do add to the movie

but it doesn't affect it even if it's not there, that's how I feel about it

that is, what you all wish to see, will eventually be given, right?

it will be given?

yes

will there be a third part?

let's keep that a mystery first. Please look forward to things

there will be a surprise

then I'll suggest to my editor to play this part repeatedly

ok

so Xiaobai, what's your view?

After I finished watching it.. well he hit me

he hit you

can you go into more details?

he feels that, well.. because a character appeared in this second movie

and then he feels that I spent too much time with that person, so he got angry

and then he hit me

actually let me tell you, that's not exactly right. It's just that when he's with that person

"that person"

I just really

he has really become "that person"

he's really angry

I just really couldn't continue watching it

I don't know why

he wants to..

he behaves like this both in and out of the movie?

yes, he wants to fast forward through those parts

but we were watching it together, so out of respect for him (Xiaobai), I didn't fast forward through that part

and then I discovered as he was watching it himself...

he was also

do you think that I'm very happy to watch you with those people?

but it's purely for the sake of the story, when I'm with those people

so are you totally at odds with those people?

yes!

is that so?

totally at odds with them

ok, then our next...

ah we cried after watching it

you guys cried

yes

both of you cried

so that means you both cried facing each other?

no, we cried silently

face to face? no we cried with our backs to each other

so the fans can try to imagine how that must be like

don't do inserts (i.e. commercial inserts)

ok, I won't

ok, so let's move on to the next question. we would like to find out how did your parents react after watching the movies?

because I know that Shaoye's mum felt that Xiaobai's acting was very good after watching the first part to Uncontrolled Love

of course, your acting is good too and then..

really? did your mum praise me?

yes, my mum did!

really?

my mum said that..

yes, and she's on the side of your CP

my mum said that the little boy is simple and innocent; because that's the way you are in the movie

she said that the little boy is so simple and pretty adorable in the movie, and that she felt that both of us acted well

because my mum has watched all my movies

so she feels that this is the one I which I'm most serious in my acting

and she feels that it's my best role thus far because she's also..

the most serious, so are you not serious in other projects?

no, it's her opinion

W: so the feeling that this movie gave her is that you were much more into it / M: yes

and then she felt that the movie's pretty good

that is you have really fallen for me, is that it?

seems like you have gotten the in-law's approval

no, it's like this, my mum has finished watching...

she didn't want to meet with me after watching it

no, after my mum watched it, she said

it's better that what she had expected

after watching the second one?

when she watched the first part

she said that it's better than what she had originally expected

and then after watching it, she's like, eh? that's it? she hasn't had enough of it

she had that feeling

and then after my dad watched it

well, because I got my mum to watch it when she was with me

but my dad watched it at home

he watched it alone

yes, he watched it alone

after watching it he called me up and said that my acting was bad

and said that he (i.e. Shaoye)'s good and that I should learn more from him

he said that my acting wasn't explosive/energetic enough

I told him that he didn't get it at all, there's no way that I could be that way

but he complimented him and said that his acting was good

his acting was on point and he's handsome, stuff like that

and then he.... sigh

after that, his mum came to Beijing, you see

after the end of the first movie

and so I told him, I said this to you for at least 3-4 times

don't!

pull

it's okie, we can give it to you as a present

and then I said I'll like to treat his mother to a meal

and then he asked me this, should the meal happen before she watches the film or after

I said, after, because she might get more into it/understand more, after watching the film

so she agreed after watching it

and then after watching it she ignored me

his mum doesn't want to eat with me

no, my mum didn't even eat with me

she went out with her best buddy

and then she went home

W: totally didn't... /M: in any case we didn't meet at all

I didn't even got to meet her

what about after watching the second movie?

my mum hasn't watched the second part yet

neither has my mum

because they have to watch it on the app

they don't quite know how to do it

yes, those that are slightly older

show it to them when we're back home

let them watch it when I'm back home in person

Xiaobai, do you think your parents will think that your acting has improved if they watch the second part?

my mum felt that there's improvement in my acting, because she too, has watched the other things I have acted in

she felt that for this movie, the main thing is that..

the main thing is that I was there to lead you

yes, perhaps that's the reason

feels like I had learnt a lot from Teacher Meng

Are those your mum's words?

no, didn't you put it that way

yes, and it's not just in acting, (you have learnt a lot) in other aspects too

actually I feel that you really do get influenced

I'm the sort who doesn't quite give myself... or rather I care a lot about the feeling that the person whom I'm acting with is giving me

that is, my subconscious reaction that's triggered by the other party is always going the most real/true one

that is my acting skills is not at that level where I, for example

when we are rehearsing scenes or running through the lines, stuff like that

if the person with me isn't that great at acting, or if it's someone else, and my conviction isn't quite as strong

that the other actor is that character in the story

I will be influenced by that person

so he does stimulate me in a way

and make me believe in myself more

and make my acting more real

how do I?

but for some other people, when I'm rehearsing with them, the reaction they give me is such that I'll get influenced..things like that

so how do I normally stimulate you?

how do you stimulate me, well...

that is... in the way you look at me..

and some of your scents

and then there's some..

and then you...(trails off)

and some physical contact

it stimulates my trigeminal nerve

and then you'll react honestly, is that it?

yes

based on what I know, sometimes while filming, actors might rehearse or go over scenes repeatedly

so you'll run through the lines, things like that

I feel that that's the time whereby you slowly get your emotions invested into the characters

actually those rehearsals are still fine

because this is how it is between the two of us, since we have more emotional scenes together

it is after all, not a big action film

if it's action, we require precision

but actually for emotional scenes, we..

it will become fake if we do it too many times

we much rather hope that..

that one take would be it

yes, just get it through straight away

because the emotions etc portrayed is more real that way

yes

with real emotions coursing through, and real reactions, the things that your eyes portray are also naturally different

so fans can go through these scenes repeatedly

can you see the comments in the live broadcast chat?

yes, I've been looking at it

really? then are they criticizing my hair?

No!

they all say it's rather handsome

yes, they all say that it looks good

really?

You? did you see those comments? whoa, you are so fake!

see? that's how fake your Shaoye is

host: they are saying that you are very handsome, that the emotions in Shaoye's eyes are very interesting..that's basically it

ok, let's move onto the next question

he's getting impatient~

a lot of the fans would like to know, every time, after the "lights off" (la Deng) comment in Wudong, there's that "love's education" that goes on

of course, sometime it's "lights off" and other times, the camera suddenly moves upwards

just what is that "love's education"

and everyone wants to see it live

L.I.V.E

actually for Wudong.. because when it comes to our assistants, Heimapangzi (i.e. Milkey) is the one who's usually there

she's also the one who understands both of us the best

but because of other uncontrollable reasons, such as us going overseas, she might not be able to make it there in time

in which case we'll have a lot of other assistants

as for the difference in the way the camera behaves

for example, "lights off" is something which Milkey likes to do

but for example, our Yuanyuan will turn her head up (i.e. camera goes up), which means she's rolling her eyes

M: so they are using the camera to show their reactions / W: when they are nodding, the camera goes like this

M: they use the camera differently to show their reactions, as to the "lights off" bit you are referring to I feel.. / W: and then when they are shaking their heads it's like this.

that part after "lights off"

after "lights off" it's should be when the one-on-one fight starts

so you guys will be doing the action scenes, is that it?

yes

those are it

ok, so we probably won't be able to see a live version of that

a live version.. that's...

it's a bit hard to surpass

Unless you switch off the lights now and I'll show you how it is?

and there's one more thing, it's because the range of our movement is somewhat large, so if you..

usually how long does it last?

as long as you want it to be

it usually happens only when the light it off

we won't do it when the lights are on

only when the lights are off

yes

it lasts for very long

so you want to..

after that you'll be very exhausted

do you want to go to that room over there and try?

ok, let's go over there together

#9 Wiring Contactor Unit to On/Off Switches #9 / C-Beam Lead Screw CNC / Control Box - Duration: 11:13.

Ok in this video I am going to wire the contact up to this on off switch here.

I will zoom into the different components and just talk about them for a little while now.

I am not sure if I bought the right circuit breaker.

This is a 16 amp breaker.

This is the first contactor that I bought and it has two normally open channels and

two normally closed.

And for what I'm using this for I can still use this, but a few days ago I got a little

bit worried that I might have bought the wrong one, so I bought a second one that has all

normally open channels going through.

I think I might actually just use this one.

For what I'm going to be doing I'm going to only need the open and at least this way

around I can put my live and neutral wire through to normally open, plus the wire that

will go to the on and off switch.

With this particular switch I would only have the live going through and the neutral would

come around this.

So I don't know if that's necessarily the right thing to do.

So the thing to mention about the switch is it has one set of normally open

which is this side here the brown one.

And one set of normally closed contact, as well as contacts for the light

which is this thing here.

I'm not sure how good this thing is.

This section of the controller will be where the main source of 240v power enters the enclosure,

and is sent via the contactor to the VFD and PSU.

As I have not wired a contactor before, I drew some references diagrams from sources

I found online.

There seemed to be slight variations but the main similarity was the on switch should be

normally open – meaning its two terminals are only connected when the button is pressed.

And the off switch is normally closed which means the two terminals are connected until

the button is pressed, breaking the connection.

I will reference all these sources in the description below.

I am going to test as much of this build out before placing things into an enclosure.

I am making a test board with a terminal to feed power from, and a place to mount the

switch and contactor unit.

I'm going to plug it in and see what happens.

I think I have wired it up correctly.

This is obviously the exciting bit.

Definitely not wired it in correctly.

Ok here goes the second attempt.

Woh

Ok this is the third iteration of the wiring.

I am now using a third reference source.

I haven't wired the light which is in this particular switch.

I am going to plug it in and see if it works.

So that tripped.

So I am obviously running into problems, with the contactor either remaining on, or tripping

the circuit breaker.

Eventually Nathan (who I share this studio with) popped down and noticed I had an 110v

coil on the contactor.

I got a bit stuck because it didn't seem to be doing what I thought it would be doing.

And it's turned out that the coil requires 110v as opposed to 220v which is what I'm

supplying it with.

I only noticed this because Nathan can down from OpenTronic and asked me why I was taking

so long to do this, and he had a look,

and there you go. (facepalm)

He suggested I could swap the front panel out with the 220v coil on the other contactor.

You should really check his channel out – he actually knows what he's doing.

After doing this, I was still having problems and a quick check with the voltmeter revealed

a surprising problem with the on/off switch itself.

Ok that says NO, normally open which means these two terminals should not be connected,

but they are.

This says NC, normally connected which means these should be connected and they are not.

In the same way the contactor unit has modular parts which could be swapped, so does this switch.

But before anyone starts complaining about cheap Chinese parts, these components are

designed to be fixed by a person.

You are not designed out of the component, which is why it is easy to make such a mistake.

Maybe the assembler had a hangover as well.

Often items for western markets are made so the user can't even open, let along fix them.

And in any case, if everything worked perfectly how would any of us learn?

I could take it apart and re-wire it but instead I'm going to just swap the connections so

I can finally check my wiring.

Off switch, should have a contact and the on switch should not.

So I think the rule is with whatever component you buy, especially if they are second hand

or on ebay just go over them with the voltmeter to check that they have been assembled correctly.

So I've wired the light on the actually switch onto the l1 and L2 terminal, which

go to live and neutral.

I them have a live wire coming into the normally open terminal at the end of this unit, and

it comes out to – really thing should be red – to the off switch which should be

normally closed.

And then carried on going though the switch which is A1 which is the entrance terminal

to the coil, and then A2 goes directly back to neutral.

This isn't going to look like it makes much sense from your perspective.

So the on switch which is normally open has a wire coming in from live, then going from

the next terminal along back to the 4th normally open terminal at the bottom side of the contactor.

So that creates a latching circuit – I think it's described.

When I know what I'm actually doing and I'm confident the circuit is correct I'll

tin these or put crimps on them, and do it properly.

So we're looking at these lights here, these LED's

Thank fuck for that it turns on.

So the last thing I've is put this circuit breaker in between the live coming in and

going to the switch.

If that is off, pressing the buttons does nothing but I've wired the light ahead of

the contactor unit, so at least I know there's power coming into the unit.

If I turn that on and press the button, the contactor activates.

So I am getting a new switch sent to me, but the main thing is I know how this now going

to be wired into the enclosure.

I cut slots in some trunking to make cable tracks for a mock up panel mount.

It's going to be a really tight fit with little room to upgrade so I have to think

about this a little more carefully.

In the next video I will either work a little more on the layout, and I have an idea about

a modular control box, or I may test another component such as controller which I have

yet to turn on.

When I began designing this machine I wanted to use proximity sensors to measure the minimum

and maximum distances between the x and y axis, so it may be prudent to work that out

before put thing in an enclosure.

Anyway thanks for watching.

These Are The World's Oldest Countries - Duration: 3:45.

In the scope of human history, most countries are fairly young.

For thousands of years the world was divided into empires and kingdoms, ruled by monarchs

or theocracies.

In fact, a vast majority of modern nation-states only became independent after the year 1800.

But there are a few that mark their independence centuries or even millenniums before then.

So what are the world's oldest countries?

Well, one country that is considered among the oldest is San Marino, a tiny republic

in the mountains of central Italy.

According to legend, San Marino was founded in the year 301 by a stonesman who was escaping

religious persecution in a nearby city.

He hid on the top of a mountain, built a chapel and formed a community of people who shared

his Christian beliefs.

As Europe's first city-state, San Marino hung on to its independence even as Italy

unified around it and other small republics dissolved.

In 1600, its leaders drafted what is now believed to be the world's oldest constitution.

Even older than San Marino is China, which celebrates its founding year as 221 BC.

Civilization in China can be traced back roughly five thousand years.

The region began as a collection of tribes, which then divided into seven walled states—each

governed by a different dynasty.

After a nearly 200 year war between these states, one dynasty, led by King Qin Shi Huang,

emerged victorious.

Qin[CHIN] knocked down the dividing walls and built one Great Wall along the northern

border of his newly unified kingdom, and became China's first emperor.

His dynasty strongly advocated for law and order, centralized wealth and collectivization,

a philosophy that paved the way for modern, communist China.

Even the name "China" is derived from the name Qin.

But China's neighbor, Japan, might be even older.

The country marks its founding at 660 BC, when according to legend, Emperor Jimmu conquered

the region's most powerful province and established a central government.

Jimmu is believed to be a descendent of the Sun Goddess, and the first ancestor of the

country's royal family.

However, many historians consider Jimmu's reign to be a myth, and instead place the

country's origin roughly 1,200 years later.

Either way, Japan is still considered one of the oldest countries in the world.

Very few countries consider their independence to have taken place more than 500 years ago.

One exception is France, which has been a country since the year 843.

Denmark and Austria's independence came roughly a century later.

In fact, even though Europe is not the cradle of civilization, it is home to many of the

world's oldest countries.

This is in part because for centuries, much of the world was owned by European powers.

The British Empire alone laid claim to India, Australia, much of Africa and North America

as well as countless small islands.

Many of these nations didn't become independent countries until decolonization after World

War Two.

Many of the countries we think of as ancient may not be as old as we think.

China, Japan and San Marino have thousands of years on most countries.

In fact, some of the youngest nations have been around for less than a decade.

So what are the newest countries?

Find out in this video.

Sudan and South Sudan had been at odds since Sudan originally formed in 1956.

The conflict was due to a largely Christian and non-Muslim south feeling unrepresented

and oppressed by the Arab and Muslim north.

Thanks for watching seeker daily!
