Youtube daily report Jan 4 2017

My name is Jordi Bartra

I am 19 years old

I am 20 in December

Well I'm in Cork

in Ireland

I'm at the UCC, which is Cork University

and I study Film and Screen Media Degree.

I'm doing an internship for Catalan television at the same time too

and I record some reports for it

so I'm working too

but my Catalan college approves this internship by ECTS credits

and therefore I also do my college internship at the same time.

The truth is that when I saw Cork

on the paper from the college list of Erasmus countries

I had no idea about where it was

And so…

I guided myself to the country because it was English speaking

for example, I also liked Italy too

but it was not the same because I had to speak Italian

and although I like Italian it is better to learn English first

so I just saw Ireland

and I said to myself: look!

it will be easier to communicate there

and then I just said: don't care, let's go there!

I've been here for two months

and I'll be a couple more months

I would like to stay more but

I have to do important reading and lessons in Barcelona

I have been abroad but typically

as a tourist to travel,

nothing about going alone or working or studying abroad.

Just that as a tourist and that's it.

There is a good vibe with my housemates

the truth is that I have colleagues in the university too

but after all I end up going out with my housemates who are the people

that I am always relating with

and it has been generated a very good atmosphere among us

So, we are talking about that I will go to France and Italy to visit them

and then with my housemates everything's perfect.

And that's something that defines your accommodation

I think above all social life

social life inside your own home

I came mostly not for studying

because the level of films studies degree its lower here in comparison with Spanish one

but in other respects I have gone perfectly especially in English

taking care of myself outside my parent's house

cooking, cleaning my clothes

taking care of myself if I have any kind of problem that's above all.

The other goal would be also visiting placesto know what it is travelling, right?

From now on I will travel much more after this and basically meeting people too.

And I dont know, In many ways it is very enriching, isn't it?

And I think I'm getting it here.

Yes as I was telling you before. I believe that yes

I'm getting what I wanted, I'm practicing English

I am meeting people, I feel more autonomous now

well, for example

I am learning to cook Carbonara and Bolognese sauces thanks to my Italian housemates here

and I have already told my mother when I come back I will cook all this for her

because she always cooked for me so now I'm going to do some Italian dishes for her

Obviously I think a lot of people will tell you: Freedom

Freedom of eating when I want, going out when I want

I organize everything by myself

simply, above all that and the fact of

to be closer to the people you've met

who you have started to be friends with them very early

you have very good vibes with them

and you always have them close

and they are like your new family

I like that a lot too.

An adjective which can define EazyCity? It would be fun for me

Especially finding accommodation in Ireland because is extremely difficult

and when I saw this opportunity was by the Agency of EazyCity

while I was looking for a house from here because I was told it was easier

but when arriving here the truth is that

I would tell them if they are afraid to move to start their trip

If you are undecided just decide and do it

Because before you go on Erasmus you feel afraid

You are lazy to move and change your life

but when you are here you thank yourself and you say:

I'm so glad I decided to come here

Đổi mới sáng tạo và giá trị gia tăng trong cuộc sống | Đoàn Đức Thuận | TEDxBaTrieuSt 2016 - Duration: 21:11.

Good afternoon everyone. I've been observing the audience for a while

and I realized that 90% of the crowd here are really young.

which makes me kinda sad when I belong to the remaining 10%.

So, in this talk, I would first want to pose a question:

What is your opinion of traveling and experiencing?

As I belong to the older 10% here,

I have spent a lot of my life traveling it's one of my guiding principle.

I have been to 30 countries around the world, and although I did travel to the North End of Europe, I sadly never had a chance to see an Aurora.

There's a saying that "The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."

I am lucky to read 30 pages of this book, and I don't intend to stop.

On my journey, I observed and noted down many surprising and interesting things.

When I visited Copenhagen, Denmark, I was told that this is one of the happiest countries in the world.

The welcome sign said so, loud and clear, right after I landed.

But when I arrived at the center of the city, I saw so many bicycles, which reminded me of my time in high school.

I told myself: "Oh, so it's not luxurious sport cars that bring happiness here, but simple and ordinary bicycles."

That's one thing that took me aback.

Moving on to another Northern Europe country, Sweden.

When I got on a bus to leave for the city center, I bought a ticket and tried to pay in cash as I have always done.

But they denied. They said: "We don't use cash here; you have to use credit cards."

I was surprised and said: "But cash is king!" "But not here! You need to use credit cards" they said.

I was impressed by the diversity and difference between countries, and it excited me to discover creative ways in which people design accessories.

Let's talk about a really familiar one: THE TOILET

I have spent two years in Italy, and this is what I found when I was there.

There are two components: the main one on the left which we use to "do the business", and the one of the right to do the cleaning.

The second one is pretty similar to a face washing basin, so I'm not sure if anyone has ever made that mistake.

The next stop is Austria; I had a chance to travel to Vienne, the capital of Austria.

As you all know, Austria is the homeland of Mozart.

Many great musicians and artists come from Austria, and so it seems that even their toilets remind people of this fact.

Don't worry, people don't get caught up in the music and forget to do their job.

As for Japan, where I just spent two months there,

the toilet here is a condensed version of Italian toilets. Japanese people integrated both components into a single product.

That toilet even has a heater to warm users through cold winter nights.

These examples convinced me that creativity has no boundaries.

So if you can choose one of these toilets and install it in your new home, which one would you choose?

Pick one, and remember your answer.

Now I want to introduce to you two of the countries I love most: JAPAN and ISARAEL.

There are certain similarities between these countries.

They are famous for their rapid development and are not blessed with positive natural condition.

Japan is subject to many natural disasters, and three fourth of Israel is desert.

However, these countries are both well-known around the world for their innovations.

In Japan, Kaizen or continuous improvement, is not only the guiding principle of multinational countries, but of ordinary citizens as well.

Did you know that instant noodle was invented in Japan?

And Israel is perhaps too famous in Vietnam thanks to the book "Startup Nation".

But to Israelis, Israel is an innovation nation, not a startup nation – of course, startups cannot survive without innovation.

This country is known for leading technologies in many fields, such as drip irrigation on deserts, USB or camera of mobile phones.

So both Japan and Israel emphasize on innovation. But what exactly is innovation?

So now, have you managed to choose one out of the three toilets? Let's look at another example, and go back to Italy.

The first picture is the first-generation of Vespa, but it was not for commercial use – probably because it was unappealing.

It is ugly on its own, not because of the model sitting on it.

The second one was too long and not suitable for use it was made purely for a special anniversary.

These two motorbikes are both completed product, but not commercial product; I doubt anyone would buy it.

The final Vespa on the right is one of the well-sold motorbikes which have retained its top place for years in Vietnam.

So what is the difference?

The first two motorbikes are examples of creativity, and the last one is a product of innovation.

Creativity is the connection of seemingly unrelated factors to create a new product, which may have potential but is not yet accepted by consumers.

Only when it is accepted by consumers and create added value is the product considered an innovation.

In other words, the customers are willing to pay for it. Innovation must come with financial benefit.

Regarding the toilets, whichever toilet you chose would be considered an innovation by you as a consumer,

and the other two, however amusing they might be, would only be product of creativity.

So now can you distinguish between innovation and creativity? Okay, move on. So what makes an innovation?

A lot of ideas are creative, but only a handful of them are innovative.

An innovation must be creative, but not all creative products can be considered innovations.

Some ideas might be interesting on paper, but if they cannot be commercially successful and make an impact, they wouldn't be innovations.

A creative idea must be refined, edited and implemented to turn its potential into an innovation with values.

To judge if an idea is an innovation, there are some criteria.

First, it must be new. iPhone is a new idea because it was the first cellphone without a keypad.

It must solve a problem. For example, USB solves the problem of portability.

Finally, it must possess an added value; this is the most important criteria.

For example, using Uber service saves us a lot of effort, and buying Coke cans with our names on them makes us happy.

Or purchasing in a virtual store with our phones makes shopping much more convenient.

In short, if a creative idea can satisfy these criteria, it can be considered an innovation.

I have been traveling and do you know what the foreigners' impression of Vietnam is?

One word: war. Vietnam means war. Specifically the wars we fought in the last century.

And did you know that in war, we Vietnamese had many great inventions?

We invented "Hoang Cam stove".

Some of you might be too young to know this invention but imagine this: when we cook, the smoke flies up and can be detected by enemies' aircraft, causing huge casualties.

This "Hoang Cam stove" dissipates the smoke and so the smoke is indiscernible – the generated value here is simply humans' lives.

We also effectively implement guerrilla warfare, contributing to current peace.

What about now? Innovation is an important part in Vietnam's plan for development up to 2035.

Even just a month earlier, Vietnam has cooperated with the USA and Israel to promote innovation.

But have we had innovative products? Do we have product of creativity, or product of innovation?

The fact is that we possess many creative ideas: we built a submarine, a helicopter, a game which can teach students literature lessons in text book.

These are not bad ideas, but they need much more support to be put into use and create values,

much more implementation to become a solution, a commercial service for consumers.

An example of innovation would be the Tosy toys, a product Vietnamese people are proud of,

not because of the Guinness records, but because of its commercial success.

Not surprisingly, Vietnam is ranked average on the scale of innovation.

We ranked around here (the size of the circle signifies the size of population), higher than Indonesia but lower than Thailand, Malaysia, Mongol.

Therefore, it is vital to discuss about innovation in Vietnam, especially when we try to participate in globalization.

So what is the role of innovation? Taking fashion as an example.

From start to finish, added values focus mostly on the beginning stages – the design and the final stages – marketing and customer services.

There is little value to be gained from the actual making of a shirt in factories.

Sadly, Vietnamese companies mostly participate in this middle, low-value stage.

So how can we participate more in both ends of the process? Innovation is the key.

There are plenty of chances for innovation in both ends, but there is not so much to innovate in the physical making of a shirt.

Innovation vastly improves competitiveness of companies by making a difference, simple as that.

So we just discussed about our current situation, so how can we promote and support innovations, given that they are so important?

From both the macro viewpoint of an economy, or the middle viewpoint of a company

and a micro viewpoint of individuals, there is one single approach to promote innovation.

Innovation is like the fruits of the trees.

To harvest the fruits, there are a lot of factors to account for: soil, seeds, wind, etc.

After these factors are connected, flowers will bloom, and some of them would give fruits – which is innovation.

Similarly, our economy needs to develop an innovation ecosystem (a term you might have heard before).

The cooperation of public and private companies, universities, communities, startups

would give birth to an ecosystem just like how seeds, soil, water combined would give birth to a healthy tree.

As for companies, with the same approach, it is hard to expect some employees suddenly come up with an innovative solution.

We must create a favorable environment, an innovation culture where everyone understands that we need continuous improvement.

This spirit is demonstrated in Japanese Kaizen we discussed earlier.

There are some companies in Vietnam that have done a good job of creating such an environment, like Viettel, FPT.

So what about individuals? How can a person come up with good novel ideas?

If you google the term "INNOVATION", eight out of ten results would be an image of a light bulb.

And the inventor of the light bulb – Thomas Edison once said: "Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration."

There is no exception. To innovate, we must work hard.

We must learn, work and experience. Of course, the human brain can be overloaded and so we not only work hard, we must also work smart.

Sometimes, the brain is inundated with too much information to make a meaningful connection between bits of information.

There is a helpful technique, however, which is called visualization.

We should draw and doodle our disconnected and random ideas, and put them all on papers.

This is a technique that Ford Company, which is famous for its innovations such as voice control system, uses extensively.

We should also "think out of the box", seeing things from new perspectives.

If everyone saw objects the way they are, cell phones would be limited to calling and messaging - there would be no integrated camera for example.

And without innovation, companies would be left behind and forgotten – Motorola, Kodak, Nokia.

So that is the grand picture I just shared with you guys, and I really hope that young generation of Vietnamese would be able to innovate and contribute.

Just remember that you are going to need a lot of experience.

If anyone wants to hear about my stories of traveling to 30 countries, I am more than willing to share. Thank you for listening!

Новогодняя Съемка, 30-часовая Пьянка и немного Герды. New Year Shooting, 30 hours of drinking. - Duration: 9:04.

Fedor, what do you want?

Maybe you wanna see my booty?

Once again, I am shooting a girl who looks like she's in seventh grade

But, she's actually 20, so everything is legal

And I'm not in prison, everything is fine

Mind the amount of whiskey on the set

It all turns into shit

Hey, what's up?

Welcome to the Fedor Shmidt's channel

Once again, Happy New Year everybody!

I'm glad that we all came out alive

But let's see what could stop us from it

Every time when I get mentioned, I get an enormous amount of new subscribers

Compared to what I had before

And then it takes time for people to understand what is going on here

Today is the New Year's Day

Fireworks are set off outside

Even the dog is too scared to take a shit outside

I'm going to the party

Honestly, I don't really have this "newyeary" mood

The same was for the last 10 years

I didn't really have this mood

But, what is the better time to party than now?

It's 2 a.m. right now

There is a mega ultimate party in "Standard" tonight with a bunch of chicks in costumes

All girls from Moscow are going to be there

That will be cool

First, I will stop by my friend's place

I haven't seen him for 3 years

I need to grab a bunch of chargers for at least 10 days

I don't know when I am going to be back home

Dress code in "Standard" is ridiculous

You should be in the gayest costume or in furry clothes

In orange ones

But fuck it, I hope my bathrobe will save my ass once again

If you want to be trendy, wear bathrobes, folks

Did I forget anything?

I should take some cash and that's it

See ya

Actually, that was the vloggers' party

They all have YouTube channels

I think nobody has less subscribers than I do

They have a little bit different content, you will see

I will put links in the description, if I find any

They help each other like a real mafia

So what were we up to?

I'm filming you from the worst angles

I don't know these people

Louder, louder

I have never taken birth control pills

Everybody took a shot? Ah, only girls did, right?

Never have I ever had a relationship for more than 4 months

Drink

I got to "Standard" hotel, and I am waiting for the free tickets to get in

I don't really want to pay 7000 rub at 5 a.m.

Also, Timati dipped

So, I don't know what to do here now

This dude in the red trench coat is Timati

Okay, we're in some kinda...

Some kinda closed backstage

*Cheering in Russian*

Walk slower and slower, you do it too fast

Fedor, what do you want?

Maybe you wanna see my booty?

It's hard to see in the dark

That would be better if you would do it to the mirror

Easier to see with the sidelight

Yeah, something like that

Dear Lord

I think it became better since the garage, yeah?

Right, it became better long time ago, Fedor

Did you start eating meet?

I ate meat all my life, you probably mistake me for somebody else

It's just my guess, vegans around could influence you

By the way, I am vegan and I don't affect her in any way

*Cheering in Russian*

Hey, look at this dude sleeping

At 2 p.m. we didn't lay down even for a bit

I'm in the huge, HUGE apartment

In the downtown

I'm not sure if it makes sense to film anything here, thus I won't

8 p.m. January 1st, I am tired, hungry and angry

I thought about getting back to Gaz, because I can party for 50 hours straight

Carefully

But most likely I will get home and eat some chicken hearts

Walk the dog and fall asleep

What is this?

Who ate my shoes?

Who ate my shoes?

Who

ate

the shoes?

Gerda

What's there?

Hmm, yeah it's hard to run in the snow in Nikes

You ate my winter shoes!

Gerda, check out this hill, come here

The king of the hill, like last year

As the tradition, Gerda likes being dragged

Since I was a kid, I got used to dragging this animal

I have fucking mutants with heterochromia in my house

I will never forgive you for eating my shoes

Now he's my favourite different coloured animal

Once again, I am shooting a girl who looks like she's in seventh grade

But, she's actually 20, so everything is legal

And I'm not in prison, everything is fine

We got a couple of shots in, and didn't even start shooting

So, higher or no?

Oh, God, everything is askew now, see it in the mirror?

Guys

Mind the amount of whiskey on the set

It all turns to shit

So, we planned to shoot something Christmassy

See ya in a bit

Maybe, I should ask you something too

In this, are you serious?

Yeah, in deer costume

the symbol of dudes

Deers? Yep

So, yesterday we didn't shoot much and we decided...

Can I tell them what happened?

Yeah yeah give me a sec

We decided to shoot more in the daylight in the morning

But unfortunately, Kate has exams week right now

And she went to write exams and locked me in there apartment

I slept for the whole day

That's why I didn't do and post anything for a couple of days now

My dad called me and asked:

You were offline for 10 hours, what the hell happened?

Now you can tell us about your exam

About how you showed the scared rabbit

She's in acting

Or whatever you call it

So again it's dark outside

This is the story, it's been 24 hours

NO!

Show me again this pretty face

It's a rabbit!

That was a horrible rabbit

And you're surprised that...

That was an okay rabbit! Everybody laughed

He said I look like a rabbit

But you have to use your other talents

People shouldn't laugh, they should get horny by looking at your rabbit

Powerful Panel Discussion Tip #82 with Susan Morris: Audience Q&A - Duration: 2:09.

Susan, how do you conduct your Q&A sessions with the audience?

So I've done it a couple of different ways, and I actually have done panels that are just

Q&A as well, and when I do it, it's just Q&A, and especially if it's one person.

Like I did one with a literary agent on what literary agents are and how to get one, and

that was just him, and it was a Q&A.

And so I asked him his preference and I gave him a couple of options.

My preferred style for that one is to have the audience members write on pieces of paper

their questions ahead of time and pass them up at the beginning.

And the reason I really like that is that a lot of people have the same question, and

it kind of allows me to put a priority on questions.

It also allows me to word the questions in a way that covers the most space and that

isn't offensive and that kind of gets at what they're actually asking.

Because sometimes people ask the question, and because they don't know the space, they

don't know how to phrase it such to get the answer they want or they're looking for.

On the panels where it's multiple speakers, we usually don't do that, even though sometimes

I think that would be good, but because they've listened to 30 minutes of speaking already,

usually their questions would have changed.

So usually what happens is that I'll call on someone, and, you know, before I start

that section I remind them, "In the form of a question," and then I'll call on someone,

they ask their question, and the panelists take turns answering.

And sometimes only one or two will answer, and that's good, and we'll go to someone else

and we'll make sure the other two answer that one.

I always keep count in my head to make sure I'm calling on a diverse number of people,

and like not all men or something like that.

Because I've hear that there's actually an unconscious bias that causes us to call on

the same kind of person over and over, so I actually really do keep a count in my head

to make sure I'm covering a swathe.

Do What You Love And The Money Will Come - Duration: 2:42.

When you do what you love, the money will come.

In this video, we're going to talk about some ways to make sure that happens for you.

My name is Kamala Chambers.

I'm an Online Course Launch Strategist and I'm here to tell you that you can absolutely

do what you love and easily make money doing that.

I haven't had a job since I was 19 years old.

For the last 14 years, I've been living by the principles "If you do what you love, the

money will come," and now, I co-own a 6-figure business with my partner Luis Congdon and

we make money while we travel the world.

The very first step is knowing what inspires you.

What is that thing that you absolutely love to do?

If money wasn't an issue for you, what would you be doing?

50% of this is just knowing what you want.

If you know what you want, then it's so much easier to get what you want.

Now, 40% of this is taking action.

Now, if you know what you would love to do and you merge that with action, it's incredible.

You stay motivated.

You stay focused and you do whatever it takes to get to your goal.

Now, the last 10% is trust.

It's the ability to let go and trust that the money will come when you do what you love.

This way of being is not common but to me, it's the most normal way to be doing what

you love every single day of your life.

Trusting that the money is going to come and being an action to get to that place.

When you merge knowing what you want with action and blend that together with trust,

the money will come.

Here's an example.

Let's say, I wanted to be a writer and I've written lots of books.

One of the things that got me closer to that goal is that I knew that I wanted to be a

writer.

Then I sat down and I started writing every single day.

I studied about how to be a better writer.

I read more and then, when I merged that with the trust that the money would come, miracles

happened.

Make sure to check out the link below.

I've got some really special resources for you to help you on your journey to doing what

you love and making money with it.

Where do I go from here?

Can anybody ease my sorrow?

PoorTalks Just How Broke Am I? | #withcaptions @paulidin - Duration: 10:01.

Hi! I'm Paul and I'm bad with money. I'm

not going to be stealing Gaby Dunn's

title or tag line but it's just true. It

is currently January second. I was

thinking about my financial state right

now and how much I hate it and how much

I've gotten myself into exactly this

position. It's all my fault! Nobody else's.

My fault. But I thought that I would

listen to Gaby Dunn's podcast bad-- Bad

With Money, and if I were so inspired by

what she does that maybe i would also

share what's going on with the reality

of my life, financially speaking. I'm going to

try to each of these episodes short and

I don't know how often i will upload

them. ...I had a reason that I wanted to say--

Oh! I know. One of the core things

that I want to do with my channel is to

battle stigma in discussing important

topics. Like, I'm opposed to stigma when

it comes to talking about vaginas and

abortion and reproductive health in

general and mental health. Of course,

mental health is a big one! Feeling like

we can't talk about these things keeps

our civilization's progress from moving

forward. And why are we always so afraid

to talk about money?

Well, Gaby has a podcast all about that

and she goes into far better depth than

i will, so I re- i refer you to her

podcast, please check that out. It's

excellent. In my show, i'll just talk

about my experiences.

Let's go!

[music]

Hi PaulTalkers and other viewers, my name is Paul,

I'm based out of Los Angeles, I'm 41,

years old, I currently do not have a

full-time job. Um.

This is normally where PaulTalks, so I

thought I would go with a different

title for this little series within my

channel. In 2016

I decided that I wanted to move to

California. That's it. Didn't prepare

for it, didn't plan for it, just wanted to do it.

Came out to California once, in advance,

to find an apartment.

The travel expenses and everything were

paid for by my boss, because my boss at

Chesapeake Systems in Baltimore, Maryland

is flipping awesome. He's great. And i

thought when i get out here i'll have a

place to live, so i'll be able to find a

replacement job while slowly easing out

of working from my old job as a remote

contractor. And I did keep on getting

paid for my old job for a couple months.

And even now I still do contract work

for them. But as of this moment, I have

maxed out my credit cards and I have

zero dollars to my name.

What is going to happen to me in January?

I'm not, i'm not sure. I'm whispering less

because I'm afraid of sharing this with

you and more because i'm afraid that

somebody in my building will hear and, I

don't know, i'll be evicted for not being

able to pay the following month's rent. I

can pay January! Yeah. My monetary needs

for this month are this: I need 300 and

some dollars to pay my monthly car

payment.

I've got a few recurring bills, like my

internet access, my google fi smartphones--

cell phone service those total up to

about a hundred, let's say a hundred fifty

dollars.

Let's say nine hundred dollars for rent

all paying-- all utilities and everything

included. Those are all the things i need

to get this month. And the car payment I need to

have by the middle of the month because that's

when it automatically deducts from my

bank account.

I'm not, I'm not proud of these things,

and in fact I'm horribly ashamed of

these things, which is why I don't talk

about them to anybody ever.

I hang out with my friends right now in

Los Angeles on occasion, and I act like I

I can do it. I act like I'm financially

ok, or at least not desperately afraid

for my financial life, when in fact i am

afraid for my financial life. Currently,

in terms of food, got some tea. Bag of

rice. I have a couple of packets left

of oatmeal.

I have this much bread. I have some ramen

noodles and some packets of seaweed. I

have... That's a burrito, some rice cake

slices i can put it in soup, some

hashbrown potatoes, soy milk, kimchi, miso

paste-- that's gonna be a life, lifesaver

right there. Some tofu that I've cut up and I

put into that tupperware container. A few

eggs, jam, and a little bit of soup. That's

all the food that i have, and i have no

money right now to get any more food. I'm

not sure what I'm going to do. *blows air* Between

yesterday and today, I've been job

hunting a little bit.

A friend of mine, Jessica, might be able

to hook me up with a job working for

Time Warner, which would be great if I

could do that! But I was also looking on

craigslist in the gigs section, GIGS, for,

like, part-time, remote, temporary, easy

fast, possible jobs. What I have not done

is: I've not submitted, like, a resume to

any, like, real job websites. Like a

monster or a job or career builder,

anything like that. And the reason for

that is that I am afraid to. Like, it

doesn't feel like fear, but it's like

somewhere between fear and shame. I had a

really good job in Baltimore where I was

the chief info-- chief information

officer for a small company. I headed up

a department of 0.

It was just me and I got there by

basically progressing through the ranks

within the

company for 13 years. But I always just

worked on getting the things done and

never getting certified and stuff, so i

have no certifications. I'm a pretty

decent wiz at Salesforce

administration but i have no certifications

to prove it. So I'm afraid that i can put

together a resume and submit it to, like,

tech companies, aiming for high-end

positions, and that i will just be

horribly, pathetically under-qualified.

And the thing is, I've no, I have no, I have no

actual evidence that that is the case.

Like, no one has rejected me saying, "No,

Paul, you're unqualified for this, so it

is absurd and we are laughing at you for even

applying to this." Nobody has done that.

But again, there's, like, a fear and shame inside

of me says that that is what's going to

happen and I find I don't do anything. I

don't, i don't do anything about applying

for jobs, which is horrible.

However, i'm gonna, i'm hoping that this

project of mine, PoorTalks, is going to

kick my butt into actually applying for

both the big jobs, and the quick jobs,

every jobs. I should tell you this: in my

13 years of working at my last job, I

never, ever shied away from doing the

hard things. I always took on the hard

responsibilities, I was financially very

careful and sound. I made very good

decisions and I did excellent work

developing software on salesforce and

filemaker for my company for 13 years.

Why I don't think I can translate that

track record into working for another

company?

I don't know! There's some sort of weird...

weird mental block that I have. I

actually feel that if I got into another

company, i could do them proud, and I

would do a great job!

It's just the stumbling block of getting

there in the first place. So this project,

this idea, is that i will talk to you the

internet about how horrible my financial

situation is, in hopes that i will take

effort, take steps to improve my

financial situation, so that i can report

back to you about how i have improved

things. It's holding myself accountable.

I mean, I've never been in a worse

financial situation since just out of

college. Just out of college I was also

horrible and it took a long time for me

to get out of that bad position and I'm

back in it now. I'm back in it now in Los

Angeles! I know i can get out of this.

Not sure how. i know i can. i'm going to

work at it. I have some ideas for other

things I want to talk to you about in

this series, my PoorTalks series, and again

i'm not sure how often these will go up, but if

you have any questions you'd like to ask

me about my poor situation in Los

Angeles, please ask me in the comments

below. Or tell me anything that matters

to you, because I want to know what

matters to you. If you'd like to leave me

a tip that would be great! You can go to

paypal.me/PaulRoth, all one word,

and you can leave me a tip. That would be

wonderful! There's also going to be a link to

it in the cards up there. Or you can

support me on Patreon and send me a

small amount of money every month. That

would be great!

There's going to be a link to that in the cards,

also, as well as in my end card. If you

think there's some value in this video

that I'm making--

I hope there's some value in this! Then

please feel free to share it on Twitter,

Facebook, Tumblr, wherever. And subscribe

if you haven't subscribed yet. Thank you

for watching all this way!

What am I even doing? Thank you for

watching all this.

*sigh* I just have to believe that somehow it's

all gonna work out. And that's why i say at

the end of my videos, all my videos:

Tomorrow

will be even better!

What Should I Save Each Month? - Duration: 4:09.

Sean Cooper paid off his mortgage in 3 years at the age of 30.

Firecracker and Wanderer from Millennial Revolution, a couple in their 30's have retired with

a $1 million investment portfolio and are travelling the world after saving aggressively

and foregoing home ownership in downtown Toronto.

Both media stories have gotten a lot of attention as well as negative feedback for their feats

not being realistic.

But are they that unrealistic?

While I'm not suggesting you do the same as they did, we can all learn something from

these stories.

I'm Susan Daley and this is Your Money, Your Choices and today, I'll be giving a

lesson in savings.

Wait!

Don't leave!

It's more fun than it sounds.

[musical interlude]

Most people can't or don't want to make the extreme sacrifices that were made by Sean

and the folks at Millennial Revolution.

Some might not even want to achieve what they did, frankly.

While I really enjoy travelling, I also love my job, so it's not my goal to quit work

in my 30's and travel the world non-stop.

But what they did was figured out exactly what they wanted and set their

minds to getting there.

Personal finance goals are different for everyone.

While some might prioritize travelling, or being mortgage free, you may place higher

value on other things, such as living a balanced lifestyle, having children, etc.

Now, a few excuses made for not saving as much as we should are that either there's nothing

leftover to save, or we don't want to sacrifice our current lifestyle.

So then, in order to save, we either have to earn more income, or spend less.

I'll focus on the latter.

I follow Carl Richards, an advisor in the US and author of Behaviour Gap and The One-Page

Financial Plan.

In July and August of 2015, Carl wrote a number of blogs around aligning your spending with

your values, something that really hit home with me.

The idea is: many of us continue to spend money, but the way we spend that money often

doesn't add value in our lives.

In his blog, he suggested going through your credit card (or debit) statement, line by

line, and checking if each item you spent money on aligned with your values (which of course

you need to determine beforehand).

Line by line, I drudged through this tedious task, but it was worth it.

I discovered I was spending money on material things and take-out food that weren't adding

anything to my life, which meant I didn't have as much to spend on what I really did value:

learning, exploring, and connecting with family, friends, and the community.

Around the same time, Cait Flanders (formerly known as Blonde on a Budget) had just completed

a year-long shopping ban and was embarking on a second year.

I thought this would be a great way to jump start my values-based budget by eliminating

spending on material items I didn't value.

At the same time, I allowed myself to spend on experiences I did value, as long as I could

continue saving for my long-term goals.

I finished my year-long shopping ban at the end of August this year.

I can honestly say that it wasn't very hard to cut out the non-essential material spending.

I managed to save over 35% of my income, while still including a non-budget trip to Chicago,

lots of eating out, and replacing my car after it got totalled (but more on that another time).

Shopping bans and extreme saving don't have to be part of your plan, but stepping back

and making more deliberate choices about your money, might mean making your own dream come true.

What are the things that YOU value?

What are YOUR goals?

Drop me a line with any questions or comments you have and don't forget to subscribe for

future episodes!

As a single dad, I had to work and enlist my family to help me for the first few months - Duration: 2:34.

The hardest moments of being a single dad were the first couple of months after he

was born. I provide the entire income for the household because it's just me.

So I couldn't be away from work too long. My work situation was such that our

brand new boss was starting up literally the week that he was born.

And literally the day, couple days after Nolan was born,

they laid off 11 people in my department, almost everybody that I had

been working with knew about me. So I knew that I couldn't take paternity leave that

I would like to take, you know. I couldn't lose my job. I had to get back to work.

I took two weeks of paternity leave and even then, I felt like I wanted...

and that was actually the new boss was telling me, "At least take that."

Because I was, I mean, you know, and obviously,

the earliest a child can go to day care, I think was like three months.

So I was very lucky that my mom came out stayed with me for those three months and

stayed up and, you know, we were a tag team. If it had been just me,

I'd probably would gone absolutely crazy. I mean, I was, the first couple of days I

was by myself because my brother, who came back with me, caught a cold and he didn't

want to be around a newborn with a cold. And so that was on like a...

he was born on a Thursday, and we came back on Saturday. By Sunday,

I'd been 24 hours by myself and this brand new newborn that I did not know

much about and trying to be a dad. And so I was literally like going on fumes.

I don't think I'd slept at all. I had some friends come over. But my family,

my mom and dad, didn't get into town I think until that Monday or Tuesday.

And then again, once they got there, it was like such a relief just to have

somebody around who'd had a kid before and knew what they were doing.

I was doing okay in retrospect, looking back at it, you know.

But it was so exhausting for those first three months because I...after two weeks,

I went back to work. Luckily, they were okay to let me come in a little

later and leave a little earlier. But still I had to work.

2016 Review + 2017 Goal Setting - Duration: 14:28.

Hello friends! My name is Marines and today I'm going to be wrapping up my

2016 goals and talking about what's coming up in 2017.

My goals in 2016 were the following: to read 72 books in a year;

to read less YA; to use the public library more and buy less books;

to read unread books on my shelf; 1 to 2 review videos per month;

4 video collabs for the year; post regularly; and vlog more.

Let's go through those one by one. Number 1 was to read 72 books in a year and

probably by the time you're seeing this video, I will have accomplished that.

I am sitting right now, like a day before the end of the year, at 70 books but I am

more than 70% through two remaining books so I know confidently

that I will reach 72 books. This is the year that I've read the least amount

since I started tracking my reading on Goodreads. I believe I have always kind

of set around 72 but surpassed that, usually around 80, and this year I'm like

squeaking into 72. I don't want to get too down on myself for the lesser amount

that I read this year because 1-- I met my goal. I set a goal. I met it. That's great

and 2-- because I... I was... it was a crazy busy, year. It was just... it's over.

My second goal was to read less YA and I believe last year I read about half my

books in YA. I think maybe a little less than half, about 40 to 50 percent

were YA and I just realized that I was getting burned out. I wasn't finding a

lot of quality things and it was kind of reading a handful of bad ones to find

like the one standout and I just got to a place where I wanted to mix up my

reading and read less YA. Of the 72 books that I read, 18 were YA

so 25%. I definitely lowered it from where it was last year and I'm very

happy with where it is and how my reading breakdown turned out overall.

Number 3 was to use the public library more buy less books and I'm already like

laughing at myself because I'm going to say that I failed hardcore at this goal.

I also set up like really wishy-washy goals. With the exception of 72 books, all

of them were like do something more or less without hard numbers to it and I

did that purposefully because I wasn't in a very strong goal-setting mood last year.

I just wanted some kind of guidelines to direct my reading in what

I knew would be a very tricky year. So, I just said use the library more and buy

less books and I will say that I did use my library plenty. I'm still at a point

where I check out more than I consume. It's like, you know, going to supermarket

hungry basically and you just like [SOUND EFFECT] take all the stuff. Um, that's how it is

with me and the library. Anytime I'm watching a video and somebody's like,

"this book was great!" I was like, "does my library have it?" And I would check it

out and put it on my Overdrive. So, I'm using my library plenty. I'm not sure

that I'm using it efficiently or effectively and, that said, I spent

a lard-ton of money on books last year. It was the first year that I tracked it,

so you'd think that tracking it would slow me down but no no no. And the problem there

again is that I would just go on Amazon and one-click things for my Kindle and

then when I would come and like put it into my tracking, I'd be like, "oh! OH."

Like $3.99, $5.99, $9.99 adds up when you're doing all of this one-click buying

I did a quick little Twitter poll of like, you know, a range. Do you spend like 1-- $0 to $100 or like $101-$500.

Or $500, you know, whatever it was and then the last one was like $1000 plus and basically

everybody was in like the $100 to $500 range... I just spent a lot of money on books

last year and... that's a fail on that goal

The next goal was to read my unread books on my shelf and this is also a fail.

I have such a hard time reading physical books now. I read so much more

on my Kindle and it's difficult for me especially because I had so much less reading time in 2016.

I was reading a lot of things either in bed, before bed, like lights out or like

in between things and my Kindle is just so much more convenient for that kind of

reading. I didn't read a lot of physical books like at all throughout the year so

reading the unread physical books that I have just was not a priority for me like

I thought it would have been or should have been.

My next goal was to review at least 1 book per month for a total of 12

and I did 6 review videos last year so half my intended goal, so that is

also a partial fail. This is not counting the little mini-wrap-ups that I do, which

I'm not sure if they should count because I feel like I put so much more

into those mini-wrap-ups then I was-- then when I was doing monthly wraps because I

had to get through so much so quickly. I do essentially full little reviews on

every book that I read, up to the middle half of the year. After that, I really

fell off pace, but I did review a lot of books, but as far as single standalone

review videos I did 6. That is definitely something that I want to up in the next year.

My next goal was to make 4 of those big video collabs that I do, one per

quarter, and I ended up making 5 overall so I surpassed that goal.

My next goal was to post more regularly with a schedule of 1 video every 3 days.

It didn't happen. I posted 42 videos last year, which I think is great, you

know. That works out to a little less than one per week, but I was talking

about one every 3 days. I really thought I had it in the bag at the

beginning of the year but... it's not only that I posted less videos than I want to,

my my posting schedule was all over the place and I think that it came to a

point-- some point in 2016 where I gave myself permission to make videos as I could.

Putting pressure on myself to, you know, record and to edit and to you know be so

rigid was putting a lot of stress on me and I would go and like not record for a

long time because I felt that stress. So, I gave myself permission and this is the

way that I figured that I would be able to actually make material, was to give

myself permission to do it when I could. Of course, regularity is a thing that I

would-- I'm always going to strive for. I want you guys to be able to depend on my

content and on this channel, but I also think that if you're in the same boat

and you don't know how to fit making content into your schedule, the best

thing that you can do is to give yourself the ability to make it as you

can and to publish when you can and to do these things as they fit into your schedule and as they give you

pleasure and don't add to your stress or mess with your mental health or do anything like that.

My final goal is another fail and that was to record more vlogs. I have so much

unpublished footage from my travels and things like that but and I also did

a bunch-- I started a bunch of like times that through read-a-thons or weekends,

I was just like I'm going to blog my reading and I have like all of these like

hey guys it's Mari on my phone where I start the process and... I don't know what

it is about vlogging that makes me super self-conscious and I'm still not able to

do it and I just didn't do a good job of that at all I [SOUND EFFECT] talking in public and

like remembering to capture certain things or... I don't know. It just is not-- I'm not very good at it.

Some of these goals are going to kind of continue in 2017 in a general mindset of,

you know, things that I keep in mind regularly, that I do without it having to

be a goal. Reading diversely is not necessarily a goal for me. It's just

something that I do and I do regularly and that I'm mindful of every time I

pick up a book or set up a TBR so that's not something you're going to see

necessarily on my goal list but it's just part of my habits. Reading less YA is

going to be the same now. I've just changed the way that I pick up books and--

and what I reach for so I don't necessarily have to make it a goal but I

want to keep up with this breakdown where, you know, 25-percent of my reading

is YA and the rest is broken out between adult fiction graphic novels and things of that nature.

I'm going to continue making video collabs in the next year and I

know now that I can. They are a lot of work but I can church out about 4 to 5 per year and

I always-- now for two years running not always-- but for two years

running I've done the favorite and least favorite collab so that's something

that I'll do it again next year. So, again this has become more of a habit than

something that I need to focus on making my goal in the next year.

So, for actual 2017 goals, I'm going to set the bar again at 72 books in a year. I explained

this last year and I think it is a very good way for me to think about it but

the reason that I set a reading goal, I know a lot of people are like setting at

0 or 1 because they don't want the pressure of the reading goal. To me, I

think 100 percentage, I'm of the mind, that we have a lot of time that we can

do things with and that we make time for the things that we give priority and

that's not to say that if you don't do something that I do that, you know, you're

misusing your time, but we just give our our priorities the time. We allot time

for what we have. After working more than full-time and, you know, taking

full-time classes, I really learned a lot about time management so for me a

reading goal is really about making sure that I am carving out enough time for

reading, I'm giving reading the priority that I want to give it. If I'm falling

behind a certain amount of books read, I feel like I know that I'm not giving

reading the time that I want to give it, where I feel comfortable with it and

that is 52 books a year. If i'm reading a book a week on pace, that is the place

where I feel like I've carved out enough time for reading. That is the very bottom

where I will feel satisfied, for me, personally about my own reading 72 books

72 books per year is like the next tier of what I know I can accomplish comfortably and

what I've been able to accomplish comfortably without any major kind of

changes in my life. So, 52 is the bottom 72 is the middle, and then 100 is

like the stretch goal. I've never been able to read a hundred books in the year

and I'm not sure that it would be a comfortable pace for me at all.

It might be the place where I'm like okay now I'm reading

too much but I always kind of strive for that stretch goal. I think it's good to

have stretch goals and to challenge yourself and even if you fall short or

a little short of that it's still good to say that, you know, you put in the extra

effort. So, my goal is always in in those three tiers but 72 is what I set my

Goodreads at and that's what I'm going strive for.

Next, I've set up a challenge for myself to read from two genres

that I don't normally. I really value reading widely and reading diversely so

I picked two places where I haven't focused any of my reading I'm going to

make it a project to kind of document my way through them and pick up

recommendations and try out and they are manga and romance.

So, you guys will get to see my experience experiencing those two in 2017.

I also am doing a book tuber recommends project. I've seen a lot of

different people try this and it's basically that you collect

recommendations from other book tubers and then you read them throughout the

year. I did collect 12 recommendations and you guys will see from who and what

they picked throughout the year as I read and review these. Also, I'm going to

go ahead and set up that goal of making more review videos, standalone review

videos. In general, I would like to do 1 per month-- realistically one per month is kind of

where I am, but I mean like, 20 in the year was the first number that came to

my head and then I had to be like woah girl you made 6 last year like be real.

I'm gonna recycle two goals from last year being a little more specific as

well. 1 is to restrict my book buying for sure and I've started with a like

first level goal here of not buying any new books in the first quarter of the year.

I have an accountability partner and everything. Max is-- we're holding

each other accountable here and he's not and everything Max's that were holding

decided that quarter one I was not going to buy any books. That's going to be

where I start and from there we'll see how I manage my book buying, but I really

want to be specific about not spending so much money on books.

And my read my own books. #ReadYourOwnDamnBooks is a

hashtag that I know that people participate in every year and I kind of

want to set more specific goals about that. I think I'm gonna pick like maybe a book or two a

month from my own shelves to put in my TBR and then I kind of want to end the

year at like maybe 30 unread books on my shelves and if at the end of the year I

haven't read it I haven't made an attempt to read it, I'm not interested in

reading it then it's going to get donated and just moved off where-- and I

have 30 books on my shelf that maybe I haven't read but that I actually have

interest in reading so I'm not just taking up precious space with things that I

don't like and don't want to read. I think that it for 2017 goals.

I'm sure, like I said last year, that as soon as I finish doing this

editing and publishing it, I'll think of like 37 more things that I wanted to say

but it's always best for me to keep my goals simple and this is where I'm going

to start. I want to thank you guys for being so patient with me in 2016 and

through all of the craziness and like I said I wasn't as consistent as I wanted

to be but I was putting out content as I could and you guys were always so great

about backing it up when it did appear so thank you very much. Thank you so much

for watching this video and I will see you guys soon!

The best hotel lobby in Mexico City - Duration: 0:53.

I'm in the Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico and check out the glass.

Built in 1899 in downtown Mexico City.

It overlooks the Zocalo, which is their Times Square.

The rooms are advertised as 5 star.

I got upgraded to a junior suite room.

It was okay.

It's most famous though for this view as you walk out.

Look at that stained glass.

It really is immaculate.

The best I've ever seen.

This is art nouveau style at it's absolute finest.

I enjoyed walking around the hotel.

The feeling of space here is quite fantastic as I walk into the 2nd floor lobby with these

enormous ceilings.

When you go to Mexico City you've got to come inside this lobby.

Thanks for watching!

Adios!

Roy CrossFit - Francisco Talks About His CrossFit Journey - Duration: 2:31.

Alright, my name is Francisco.

I'm 33 years old and I started this whole CrossFit journey about seven or eight months ago.

That a, oh man that first day, it's funny because I can look back at it now and it's

actually kind of nostalgic.

It's like one of those memories where you look back and you're like "Oh man, that was

a really good thing."

I think Jody was the coach that day.

And um, I knew that I got a lot of attention just to make sure I felt comfortable and I

was doing stuff that I hadn't normally done.

It was like instant at ease.

In that first workout, like I just, I didn't lay there, but I was just definitely sitting like,

"What just happened?" And ahh

Then after that, I definitely remember going home and talking to my family and I'm like,

"Ok, well I, I did this today."

and they were like, "Are you going to go back?" and I'm like, "I think I am."

That wasn't as bad as I thought.

There have been so many things that have happened at the box that have, for me, affirmed this

empowering community and some of the people I've developed relationships with/friendships

with, you know, you call them friends, but the only reason you don't call them family

is because they're not directly family, but you still get that feeling when you're with

them.

I've had days where I am the last to finish and the very first person that finished is

going another round to help me, you know, to get me through the last little bit of workout.

You know, you don't see that a lot of places.

You know, some places you go to and it's all about competition and people thrive on that.

Here it's not.

We want you to be your best.

People just kinda get you.

Roy is not just a place to go workout, Roy is not just a place for you to make friends.

It really is, you know, your family outside of your family.

It really, like being here for however long I'm really is the best part of my day.

Death Rides a Horse 1967 HD COLOR 1080p - Lee Van Cleef, John Phillip Law, Mario Brega Movie - Duration: 1:54:58.

We better watch out. That gang's around here.

With what we've got in the cart, 200,000 dollars,

we'd better keep our eyes open.

Here, this will warm you up. - Great. We can use it.

I'm going back. You stay on guard. - Don't worry.

He goes to his warm house while we... - Shut up.

I wish it was tomorrow already. - Let's have a drink.

Did you hear anything? - Yeah, you gurgling down that bottle.

I heard it. Let's go take a look.

Jack? Pat?

No.

John? John.

That's all. Let's go.

Well, let's get going.

Yah. Yah.

15 years, ain't nobody seen you laugh.

I understand. Ain't no laughing matter to be in jail.

But you can laugh today because today is a big day for you.

But you go out of here with that face, you're gonna be right back again.

Come in.

Come in, Ryan.

It doesn't seem so many years have gone by.

At least, not for you.

It seems only yesterday that we met for the first time.

Here's the 83 dollars you had in your pocket 15 years ago.

Yeah. I hope it helps you get started again.

My gun.

Thank you.

Now the bullets. - The bullets?

27.

15 years ago, you put 'em in one of those bottom drawers.

27.

You have a good memory.

Well, sometimes it's not difficult.

I still had 6 in my gun and 21 in my belt.

If they hadn't double-crossed me, the count would be a little bit different.

Here. Beautiful horse, isn't he? Take it from me, he's worth the 60 dollars.

Hey. Come back here. Hey.

What can I do for you?

I haven't been around here in quite a while. Everything's changed.

Your parents?

That was my entire family.

I'm sorry.

I heard about it some time ago.

Ah. Hi, Bill.

I'm glad you're in town. I wanted to speak with you.

I've just been talking to the judge. How would you like to be deputy sheriff?

The job doesn't pay much, but I'm gonna retire before long...

...and you'll move up a step.

It's time you settled down. I've noticed something between you and Betsy.

I've got other things on my mind, Sheriff, for the time being.

Bill, no one knows you better than me.

I was a good friend of your mother and father.

I know what's on your mind, but don't you think it's time to forget it?

Thank s anyway, Sheriff.

Over here.

What's going on? Who's doing that shooting? Open up.

Come on in.

What's going on? Night target practice? - Oh.

Somebody tries to shoot me in the back, I defend myself.

You defend yourself almost too well, mister.

They're both dead as doornails.

They came in the window. It wasn't to wish me pleasant dreams.

OK, OK, self-defence, I guess.

But in this town we don't like violence.

I'm asking you to get out of town as quickly as possible.

Good morning, Bill. How many glasses have you got?

A couple. - Can we dirty them?

I want to have a little talk with you.

What brings you all the way out here?

What's on your mind?

This.

What's that supposed to mean? - That my memory is pretty good.

I've thought all night about whether what I'm about to do is the right thing.

But I've known you for too many years to keep quiet.

Where'd you find them?

On a dead man's feet.

Who?

Last night, two men were killed. Those were on one of them.

Who killed them? - A stranger.

A certain Ryan. He went west.

All right, stand up. Don't turn around.

Keep your hand away from your gun.

If you're gonna follow somebody, do a better job of it.

This world is full of nervous characters.

They shoot you in the back first and then introduce themselves.

Tell me what you're after.

15 years, there's been no new track.

Only a spur.

Then you come along and there's three spurs.

If you know the story, then you can figure out what I'm looking for.

We've both got an account to settle with the same people.

Only I want to take first crack at them. - We can go on together.

No, son, you got too much hate in you. That's gonna get you in trouble.

Hate's hate. There's no two ways.

Somebody once wrote that revenge is a dish that has to be eaten cold.

Hot as you are, you're liable to end up with indigestion.

No, I'm going on alone.

You better shoot me. - Do I have to?

If you don't, I'm gonna end up on your heels again.

Yeah, I suppose so.

Important thing is to get there first.

That's why I'm gonna leave your horse at Red Rock, ten miles from here.

An advantage you're gonna have to give me. Good luck, son.

You might need that.

Whiskey and water.

Where do I find Cavanaugh?

Another drink?

I'm looking for Burt Cavanaugh.

Look, friend...

...I'm selling whiskey.

Thank s for the information.

Hold it. What do you want up here?

Ryan.

Well, this certainly is a surprise.

Was it a good surprise or a bad surprise?

Why? Did you think I wasn't happy to see you?

How much did you give those two to get rid of me?

I don't understand.

It doesn't make much difference. Whatever you paid, it was a bad investment.

I should kill you.

Or maybe I have learned something after all these years.

As an example, even a rat like you...

...can be worth more alive than dead.

I know it was not a nice trick walking out on you at the trial, but...

No, no, no.

You didn't walk out on me, you sold me. You turned me in. There's a big difference.

It was a long time ago. Why don't we drop it?

Here. Here's 100 dollars.

I know it's not much, but business hasn't been good lately.

100 dollars? - Yes.

100 dollars for 15 years in jail?

Maybe I was right in the beginning.

Maybe a rat like you is better dead. - All right, don't get excited, Ryan.

What do you want? - 15,000.

What? - 1,000 for every year in jail. Cash.

Where am I going to get my hands on that kind of money?

Oh, you'll find it.

I'm sure you'll find it.

I'm not in a hurry. Tomorrow morning will be all right.

It warms my heart to see all my old friends doing so well.

You're all pretty well established, aren't you?

I'm gonna visit our friend in Lyndon City.

See what the first citizen has to say for himself.

Till tomorrow. Oh...

Watch out for these things. Wouldn't want you to get hurt.

Not yet.

Bad luck at the table, friend? - Not bad luck, mister.

It was robbery. They took everything I had.

You look like you need a drink.

You don't understand. That was just a warning.

They got all my money, but I wanna keep my skin.

Sure you do. Who said anything different?

I can't go back in there. - Come on.

No. I don't want to. No, no, no.

I don't wanna get killed.

Listen, they'll kill me. Do you hear?

Two whiskeys.

How much did you lose? - 30 dollars.

What are you doing? Are you joking?

Drink.

Thank s.

Well, take the dough. And beat it.

I never leave without finishing my drink.

That should take care of it.

Stranger, I'm putting you under arrest, charged with attempted homicide.

Means you can be put in prison for ten years.

When can we try this man, Judge? - Tomorrow.

Take him to jail.

I'm sorry it turned out this way.

Hold it.

If I'm worth anything as a witness, I'd say this is a case of self-defence.

More than anything I've seen in my life.

Based on the personality of the witness, the charge is withdrawn. Cards.

You were lucky. Get out of here now. I want to talk with our friend here.

Young man, you're a faster draw than all those stupid idiots.

If you're looking for a job, I may be able to help. Come up to my office.

Hands behind your head, son.

Now let that hammer down. Slow.

At ease.

You still got a lot to learn, son.

This time you got something to learn, too.

Oh?

What?

Cavanaugh's paying me 500 dollars to kill you.

Another bad investment. - You think so?

Maybe I didn't take him seriously. - If you didn't, you'd have been right.

But tell me, why does he want you killed? And who is Cavanaugh?

You ask too many questions.

I can pay for the information with his 500.

He's worth more than that to me. 15,000.

So I suggest you keep your distance.

'Cause if you don't,

I might get mad.

That's a warning.

I'll find out who he is. And if he's who I think he is...

...get ready to get mad.

Hey. Hey, wait a second.

Wait. I wanna thank you. Yes, sir.

I ain't worth much and it's been a real spell since anybody's done anything for me.

But if you asked me to walk on fire, I'd just started walking.

I might ask you a lot less.

Like what you know about Burt Cavanaugh.

How long's he lived here? - When I got here, he was already boss.

But if you want to know more about him, I know the right man.

Get a good, strong bottle of rum,

'cause the more this man drink s, the more he talk s.

All the sheep are gone, and the pastor lies sleeping alone.

The bottle. The bottle.

Better drunk than dead. Here's to you.

Bottoms up. Now tell me about Burt Cavanaugh.

That's my drunken wife. Shh.

If there's any alcohol a mile away, she smells it.

The bottle. Where's the bottle?

There isn't any bottle. - Where is the bottle?

I know you've got some.

There it is. - But it isn't ours. It's his.

My good man, forgive the impression you're getting of us. It's just that she's my wife.

She's a bit... The poor woman's a drunk.

Uh... Before you finish that off, tell me about Cavanaugh.

Cavanaugh. I'll tell you. He's a scorpion, he's a snake, a beast.

All right, let me tell it.

When I arrived here, the church was in good order.

I was an upright preacher then.

But what about him? - What about who?

Cavanaugh. - Oh, Cavanaugh.

All he had was a pistol and a pack of cards.

You know, now he's called... Four Aces.

Full house. Queens. - Not enough. Full house, aces.

Poor man. The ladies love you but not Lady Luck.

Give me another chance. - What security have you got?

You know I've lost it all. You've taken everything.

My farm, my cattle, everything. You know that.

Then get out of here. You're using space.

Only 500 dollars.

Just give me a chance, that's all I ask. Just 500 dollars.

Who wants to come in the game? - I do.

My employees don't play.

Deal the cards.

How many?

I stand.

I'm happy to take your 500.

Four aces.

Me, too. Four aces.

Look, young man, I'm afraid I don't feel like joking.

Neither do I.

Remember, Cavanaugh, 15 years ago at the Mesita ranch?

You and your friends killed everybody. But you forgot one thing:

To kill me.

Give him a gun.

Get up.

Piano player, hit three notes.

Two lessons, my son.

First, watch behind you. Second, count your shots.

Four bullets for one man, that's a waste.

I'll go and drive away his horse.

Hey.

Damn.

Hey.

Are you in charge here? - Yes, sir. What is it?

What time's the train for Lyndon City? - It left 15 minutes ago.

What time's the next one? - The day after tomorrow.

Keep calm. Your pal left your horse with me.

He took the train, huh? - Sure. But that's not all.

He said a pal of his would be coming along.

He said I should give you the horse and a kiss. The horse is there.

Now, where do you want that kiss?

No, thank s. I'll settle for the horse.

I am proud indeed to be here today, and I consider it a great honour...

...to introduce to you our leading banker, Mr Walcott.

There is more. Senator Carlyle has kindly agreed...

...to have the Atchison-Santa Fe line pass through our growing little town.

Which augurs a fine, prosperous, up-and-coming future...

While I'd be delighted to continue to address you,

I must go because duty calls me.

Hooray for Senator Carlyle. Hooray for Lyndon City.

One is here and the other will be here very soon.

That's the one who killed Cavanaugh.

Go and get Pedro and Paco and the others.

Just say that I decided the party is for nine. Hello.

Nothing else. The boys'll get it.

Walcott, a stranger's asking for you.

Show him in, then.

Easy, friend.

You're all alike.

Years go by and you all do the same things.

Gun in the drawer, knife in the back. Lies.

You were afraid that I wouldn't receive you?

Quite the contrary.

I expected you to receive me too well.

So I figured it's safer to come in from behind.

Walcott, that stranger's gone.

I'm already here, friend. So you can go on out.

Close the door behind you. This is a private talk.

The door.

Well... look s like we've become important.

And rich.

You've changed your old clothes, haven't you?

But you still haven't been able to change your face.

You still got the meanest-looking face I ever did see.

Now listen, Ryan... - Shut up.

And I can tell you where I've been all these years, because of you.

I've seen some mean faces. Plenty of them.

Things aren't the same as they used to be.

Because I can pay now.

Just sit down. We'll talk about it.

There isn't that much talking to do.

Just five words.

Fifteen thousand plus fifteen thousand.

15,000 buck s doubled?

A lot of money, Ryan. It's a pretty high figure.

But not for 15 years in jail. And you'll have to pay Cavanaugh's share.

He was killed right under my nose and I didn't get a chance to collect the money.

I'll give you an advance now. How about... 10,000 buck s?

All right.

The rest tomorrow.

Now it's my turn.

All right?

Hold it.

Don't kill him yet.

He's useful to us for the time being.

We could finish you off now. But that would be too simple.

Let me tell you this, boys.

Ryan was sent to us by heaven.

Good old Ryan is going to be helpful to us like in the good old days.

Wait.

I've been working at this for years, building their confidence in me,

the citizens as well as the governor of this state.

But the most important thing is I have in my bank more than a million dollars now.

The funds the state deposited with me in view of our future public work s.

What do you think?

Should I build their stupid old public work s...

...with this mountain of dollars?

They don't think I should.

I guess I'll have to go along with their idea.

Whoa.

You make sure you don't lose him.

Mr Walcott. - Yes. Good evening, Frank.

Some extra work? - Open that door while I close this one.

Who's there? - Me. Mr Walcott.

Good evening, Mr Walcott.

My God, look at that. - A million dollars.

Hey-ah. Hah.

Untie him.

Throw him out.

Let me get through here. - Get back.

He was with me for ten years.

A loyal man, a good worker.

And a friend.

They killed the other guard and blew up the safe.

They didn't leave a penny. - They caught a bank robber.

Hey, they caught one.

Hey, they got one.

Hang him.

All right, out of the way. Let them through.

I recognise this one. Yesterday he was in my office.

He robbed the bank, he and his men.

Calm down. Take it easy. This man has a right to have a regular trial.

Killers and thieves don't have any rights.

Calm down.

Don't you worry. He'll be hanged.

But first he's gonna tell us who his accomplices were.

Walcott, don't you wanna get back what they stole?

Listen to me.

Give me some time, then tomorrow you'll see.

The sheriff's idea is good.

I lost my temper for a moment, but now I see he's right.

Don't worry, he's going to be hanged.

Put him in the jail. There's something funny going on.

On your horses. Let's go. - Sheriff... I'll go with you.

Whoa.

The prisoner escaped. He must have had help.

This is your fault. You were against us. Dead men don't escape from jail.

Now this man is a danger for us all. You catch him.

You're gonna pay if you fail.

Let's go, men.

I'll go back to Lyndon City. I'm anxious to meet Walcott face to face.

What do you say, Grandpa?

You'd be making a mistake, as usual. - Why?

Lyndon City's all excited right now. They're mad at strangers.

You get recognised, you'll get a rope around your neck.

And Walcott isn't there any more.

What makes you think so?

I'm in the habit of using my head. You should try it.

Walcott had a good plan. Thank s to you, it failed.

Now, with me free, he's had to go...

...and give up playing that honourable-citizen role.

Which way you think he's headed? - Same way as the gang and the loot.

Which is?

After criss-crossing their track s to add confusion and gain time,

they went to El Viento.

That's a village in Mexican territory. Walcott's favourite hang-out.

Boy, you really know everything, don't you, Grandpa?

Except that now you'll stay here quietly.

You can go ahead and finish your shave.

This time I get there before you do.

Course, I'll leave you on foot, just like you taught me.

Except I won't leave your horse ten miles away, so look for another one.

Don't you wanna try some of this meat? It's just about ready.

I'll see you around, Grandpa.

Bill.

I was thinking.

I'd like to have had a son like you.

'Cause someday I'm gonna wind up with a bullet in the back.

Ah, forget it. Get out of here.

Might need that.

<i>Senorita por favor tengo sed</i>

I'm thirsty.

Why did they run away when they saw me?

What are you afraid of?

You... you aren't with the others?

I'm on your side.

Run away. Please. - Why?

They'll kill you.

Before anybody kills me, they got to get my OK.

And I don't think I'll give it to 'em.

Glad to see me, eh? I came as fast as I could, little one.

I figured you were worried about me.

Kiss me, little one. The whole time, I kept thinking about you.

'She's grown up, she's a woman now.'

Was I right? Are you a woman now?

You dirty little...

You. Who are you?

Someone who takes his anger out on men.

What are you trying to say? That I'm afraid?

You've got a stupid face, but you get it.

Come on, hero. Let's you and me see which of us is afraid.

Something the matter? Did you change your mind, hero?

Yeah. I've decided to kill you.

Unlatch your pistol.

The other hand.

Remember 15 years ago at the Mesita ranch,

another time you took it out on a woman?

That woman happened to be my mother.

I want to deliver him alive to Pedro.

He ought to revenge his own brother.

Hey.

OK.

All right, let's roll it.

Watch out.

You stay here. Whatever happens, wait till you get relieved.

Where is Paco?

I asked you where my brother was.

Who did it? Who?

We have him, Pedro.

Alive.

You rotten murderer.

You rotten murderer.

You killed my brother. You dirty rat, you're still alive.

Murderer.

We must find out who he is. - He's the one who shot Cavanaugh.

Well, that's interesting.

Then you're tied up with Ryan.

As his pal, you must know where he happens to be now.

Men, prepare a deep hole outside.

I'll make you talk, boy. Be sure of it.

Because we are very interested in where your pal is at present.

And my men want to surprise Ryan.

Talk. Do you want to finish your life by dying of thirst?

Or chewed up by ants? You've got a handsome face.

It would be a shame for it to end like those mummies outside.

If I talk, who'll stand good for my life?

Tell me where Mr Ryan is and you won't die by these methods.

Pedro will kill you in a regular duel.

Do you agree?

All right, then.

Ryan thought you wouldn't be back yet.

He headed for Redstone Pass to meet friends who'll help get rid of the lot of you.

And when is he supposed to meet these men?

Today.

Redstone Pass is 20 miles from here.

We better be on our way.

For your sake, I hope you told us the truth.

Bring him outside.

This is gonna be fun.

All right.

All right, shovel it in. - That's right. Go on.

That's better. Go on.

I see you're a man of your word.

We should be back in ten hours.

But you'll probably think it's longer, out here in the sun.

The honour of serving the salt... is yours.

Let's get going.

Hey. - Yah.

Let's see them. - Here they are.

Hey, look. What's that?

<i>Hombre what are you doing here?</i>

You better stop there. The next one I'll aim at your head.

You had to get here ahead of me, didn't you?

Idiot.

Are you on your way in or out of that hole?

You remind me of a groundhog that couldn't make up its mind.

Now, let's see.

I'll just leave you there for a while.

Hey... stop joking around, will you, Grandpa?

Here, don't give him too much.

Or too fast.

Give me that, please. Here. Please.

<i>Senor I don't know who you are, you and your young friend,</i>

but I feel you were sent by God to help us and to protect us against the evil ones.

Actually, I don't think I'm in that close a relationship with our good Lord.

And I don't recall receiving any messages from him.

But I am here for personal reasons and they may just coincide with yours.

I think you've invented some tall tale that sent Walcott on a wild-goose chase.

Yeah. - How soon do you think they'll be back?

Eight or nine hours.

That gives us time to prepare a nice, warm welcome.

All you men, listen to me. You must dig a ditch from there to there.

I want it this wide and this deep.

Fill it with dried branches and anything that'll burn.

Then stand by with your barrels of oil.

It must be done within a few hours. Now go.

Is there a safe place for the women? - Yes, outside the village at the old mission.

<i>Take them there. - Vamos</i>

Pour that over there.

Go there.

I guess Ryan is at El Viento...

...and that he's had enough time to prepare his reception for us.

How do we fight him? - I'm taking four men and attacking the rear.

You take the others through the front.

Come. - To El Viento.

<i>Vamos.</i>

Here they come.

<i>Vamos.</i>

You should've knocked first.

They'll leave us alone.

For tonight.

The night is going to be long for them, I think.

A little music might soothe them.

It's an old Mexican custom.

They play you a funeral march to wreck your nerves.

But don't listen to it. Go to sleep, son.

You gotta be well rested tomorrow.

That's good.

We'd better get to them before the wind comes up and hits us.

We've no time to lose, men.

Ah, good morning. I hope.

You were there, too.

There weren't four, there were five of us. I came in late.

When I saw what was happening, I was too late to stop it.

All I could do was save a child and now that child is gonna kill me.

All right. I've been waiting for that.

But let me help you first.

There's too many of them for just you alone.

When it's over...

...I won't run away.

Manuel.

Pedro.

<i>Vamos. De prisa De prisa Anda. Anda.</i>

Out the back.

How many bullets you got?

Three.

This time, I'm out.

I can see that, you don't even have your razor.

Turn around, Ryan.

Defend yourself.

Turn around, Ryan.

Turn around, Ryan.

Thanks for leaving me my horse.

Good luck son.

La experiencia de Jordi en el extranjero con EazyCity. GO FOR IT! De España a Irlanda. Erasmus - Duration: 5:45.

My name is Jordi Bartra

I am 19 years old

I am 20 in December

and I come from Barcelona.

Especially finding accommodation in Ireland because is extremely difficult

and when I saw this opportunity was by the Agency of EazyCity

from Barcelona I just went ahead for it and

while I was looking for a house from here because I was told it was easier

but when arriving here the truth is that

it was not what I expected because people drew it badly in reviews

And criticism that they made

And finally I liked it and here I am

I'm going to stay all my stay here

I don't know, in general there are a lot of things that need to be repaired per month

but it is true that when you talk to the agency

they come and fix it for you after a week or so.

I would tell them if they are afraid to move to start their trip

If you are undecided just decide and do it

Because before you go on Erasmus you feel afraid

You are lazy to move and change your life

but when you are here you thank yourself and you say:

I'm so glad I decided to come here
