Youtube daily report w Jan 22 2017

Alright guys, we are currently at Dongmen station (東門) here in Taipei (臺北市)

and everytime we come here we are tempted by these amazing desserts that they have advertised

all over the walls.

I'm going to show you what it looks like and then I'm going to tell you all about it.

So they clearly do not skimp out on advertising.

Like that entire station is plastered in ads for this dessert.

And apparently this is called Mango Iced Snowflake (Baobing - 刨冰 - 礤冰).

And they have two shops right outside the station so let's go eat.

Let's go do it.

And like most places worth eating at here in Taipei (臺北市) there is a huge line

but we're going to go stand there anyway.

Alright, so our dessert has arrived.

And it is standing room only at this particular spot.

So they've got like this little bar outside where you just bring your dessert, you eat

it here but check this out.

Yeah, because all of the tables are full.

I know it is packed with people and there is a huge line of people ordering.

So this is it.

This is the Mango Snowflake Ice (Xue hua bin - 雪花冰).

It is a mountain.

Like this is huge.

And we went for the classic so it is just mango and panna cotta on top.

But I mean they probably have like ten different flavors with like strawberries and chocolate

and red beans and you can choose anything really.

This is also called Ice Monster in some places as well.

Okay, yeah so there is two chains.

There is Ice Monster (芒果冰) and Smoothie House (思慕昔本館).

We're at Smoothie House (思慕昔本館) right now so let's just dig right in.

Dig right in.

That is amazing.

Guys we're sharing this.

Like apparently at this serving size is enough for two to four people.

Yeah, Sam was like we should each get our own.

Horrible idea.

That would have been awful.

That would have ruined dinner.

Mmmmm.

Brain freeze.

Brain freeze.

Did you take too big of a bite?

That is amazing.

The Mangoes are so sweet and ripe.

Yep.

Mmmm.

What else are you tasting though?

Oh man.

It has got the mango has kind of this glaze almost.

Do you taste like ice?

Ice and the panna cotta?

Oh yeah.

You've got your ice.

Your ice mountain.

Mango flavored.

But seriously, the fresh mango that is like my favorite part so far.

It has got like this syrupy sugar that is amazing.

And I love panna cotta.

I love ordering this dessert whenever we're traveling in Italy.

It is just so creamy and milky.

So yeah, I'm really really pleased with this dessert.

Mmmm.

Alright, so Sam finally gets to dig in.

You've had about five bites and I've had none.

So someone has to film and somebody has to eat.

I've got a bit of catching up to do here.

Okay, so I'm just going to try and get a bit of everything.

Oh wow.

The ice is melting a bit already.

I know you have to be fast with this because it just starts melting on the spot.

Okay, I'm going to get some mango.

So I've got a little bit of everything now.

Mmmm.

What do you think?

Oh yeah, that is really sweet.

You taste.

You really taste the shaved ice, you really taste the syrup and the nice big chunks or

mango.

Fresh mango.

It reminds me of something we had in Korea not too long ago called Sulbing (설빙).

Yeah, which is their shaved ice dessert (Bao Bing - 刨冰 - 礤冰)) and yeah it is really

good.

Um, I think I would enjoy this even more on a hot day as opposed to a cool one like this

but it is still a lot of fun and still really enjoying it.

Okay, so how would you rate your first mango ice snowflake experience?

That was really good.

Really filling.

We needed the two of us to finish that off.

We probably could have used a third spoon in there.

Yeah, I kept getting brain freezes like every second bite.

That stuff was so cold.

I know it was really cold.

Eating cold shaved ice on a cold day.

Probably not the best strategy in life but anyways yeah it was two hundred and ten Taiwan

dollars which is under just under seven US dollars.

So I mean if you divide it by two people it is like three dollars and fifty cents.

Not bad.

Not bad value.

It is not the cheapest dessert but I think it is really good.

It is really filling.

It is one of the top 40 things you've got to eat in Taipei (臺北市) according to

CNN.

Well there you go.

So yeah, it is worth trying and yeah let us know what you think when you give it a shot.

Hey y'all, I hope you all enjoyed that video.

It was really just a fun little video to show you what

I and many mixed people are kinda tired of hearing.

Now obviously we're really happy if you have questions

or you want to know a little bit more about what it's like being multiracial.

But many of the questions that we get are just kinda

framed in an invasive way and are just generally quite ignorant.

Down below, I've put the links to some other really good videos about

what it's like being mixed race as well as the video that inspired this (video).

I hope you have a fabulous day, and as always, I want you to remember to

I Want To Die!!! - Duration: 3:41.

I want you to take a quick second to think about what you're considering in doing.

If you choose to take your life and realize that you've made a mistake in the last minute,

there are no second chance, there is no next time, understand that it's a permanent solution

to a temporary problem.

Listen I could imagine how you feel right now, but most people that think about taking

their life don't really want to die, they just don't know how to live with the pain.

I've learned that the phrase "I want to die" is really a metaphor for "I want

to live" Yes, suicide will end your end your pain here on Earth, but it will also

end the possibility of you ever being happy, it will end the possibility of things getting

better.

I'm telling you today, please, don't give up, don't be remember as the person that

quit.

Don't end your life, change it.

Regardless of your situation, everything changes over time, the pain you're feeling now will

not last forever.

Every problem has a solution, you just have to go out there and find them, but don't

end your story early.

When you read a book that is good you just don't stop at the 25 or 75% mark, you want

to know how it ends, and if you don't enjoy it, you stop and switch to a more exciting

one.

I'm asking you today are you willing to change your life to a better one?

Because if you end your story now, it will ruin your life and of those that love you.

Don't let the Devil fool you by trying to convince you that suicide is the only way

out, because trust me you won't know how bad you want to live until you're seconds

from dying.

There is always someone that is willing to help, you don't have to suffer in silence,

there are thousands of people going through the same pain, and you're not alone.

I want you to think about this example.

Have you ever watched a fly against a window, trying desperately to get out but only going

one way, the same way, trying to go through the window, only to bounce back off it, hurting

themselves each time yet returning to the same spot with more and more desperation to

escape the pain and the entrapment?

Even when you try to force the fly to the open window, they fight against it.

If the fly will stop and take into consideration his surroundings he will see an open window

to a world of endless possibilities.

I want you stop what you're thinking of doing right now, take a second to consider

changing your path, consider talking to someone about your problems, your situation will get

better the moment you seek help.

Your life is valuable to discard.

Please, love yourself and work on yourself spiritually and mentally.

Know that there are people that love you, I love you, and you're worth more to God

than you will ever know, so let him help you and May the Gospel give you life.

i'm lonely and that's okay! - Duration: 26:41.

Hello!

What is up?!

I'm trying not to look at myself 'cause, you know, like I feel like I mentioned this in

another like, vlog before but I always like look at myself instead of the camera.

I'm trying to look at the camera, but I will be - my eyes will be over here throughout

the video *sarcastic voice* because I am vain and I love my beautiful face!

I'm only half kidding.

Um, hello!

I just made myself dinner.

I don't make myself dinner a lot, but my parents are out of town, they are on vacation, and

I am not because I have school.

But yeah, my parents are out of town and I just have to look after myself for like the

first time.

Ugh, I'm such a baby!

I mean like I've made myself dinner before, it's not like I haven't, but like - that's

my dog - um, but like I don't know they went to, they're in Hawaii, they went to Hawaii

like last year or the year before, and I don't remember like feeling this lonely [laughs]

Um, but yeah, I'm living.

Um, I made myself dinner, I had frozen pizza an- well, I baked it but, you know - um I

had pizza and this like caeser salad - they're both from costco, my mom went to costco before

she left to like stock up on like easy foods to make because I like don't make time to

make myself food.

She got this like caeser salad kit, and it like has leafs or whatever in it and it had

in little packages the dressing, croutons, and cheese, the

like parmesan.

And like, I didn't know how to like equally just like take some leafs and get a little

bit of dressing and cheese and stuff in there.

I didn't know how to like do that proportionally so that I would like have enough for like

other salads I'm gonna have, so I just like mixed it all in the bag that it came in, it

was like really messy [laughs] like the salad like wasn't very good, um I think it was just

really cold 'cause it's been in the fridge all week, I haven't like had some - I was

gonna like have salad, that was gonna be my vegetable, so that I'm not just eating junk

food.

But yeah, I have to keep drinking water because my lips feel so dry, my mouth feels so dry,

like...

I'm sick.

Well, like I'm not really, like I have a cold but it's like not that bad, it's just that

my nose will just like not stop running.

It's like, girl take a breather like please like stop ugh.

I mean right now it's okay but if I like bend down or something it'll just be like alright,

here we go [imitates snot coming out of nose] So, so annoying.

But yeah, so that's my night, that's how my nights been.

Um I just spent like at least an hour um looking up or listening to royalty free music so that

I could potentially play that in the background of this video, I'm listening to it now, but

I don't know if you can hear like if it were any louder I wouldn't be able to focus on

talking because I would just be like listening to the music.

Um, but I kind of just have so that the only thing I'm hearing isn't just my voice, but

I might like actually edit it into the back of the video.

I have to take this [the necklace] off, it's like itching my neck.

It's a really cute necklace, but - this isn't even the original chain that was on it, um,

it's from a different necklace I have, which is also a cute necklace or cute pendent.

But yeah it itches.

I didn't notice that before, like I didn't notice throughout the day but now it decided

to like give me a rash or something.

But what was I saying, oh yeah I was looking up this free music and like, this has really

like improved my mood like before I like started looking it up I was like all sad and lonely

feeling.

Um my dog is like barking at nothing, I don't know.

But I was all sad and lonely feeling, but like after watching this youtuber's vlog and

after - oh he [my dog] is actually just biting his bone - um after watching this youtuber

vlog and after um listening to this music I just like feel.. less bad [laughs] I mean

I still feel lonely like, I just like... ugh this is making me so scared for college 'cause

I'm a senior in high school and like once I'm in college I'm going to - like, I'm not

gonna have friends when I go to college, like none of my friends have the same interests

as me like we've been looking at completely different colleges, like I'm gonna have to

like start from scratch, and that's like really hard for an introvert with like generalized

anxiety [laughs].

But yeah, that's- like it's making me scared, because like, I go to school, where there's

like all these people around and it's good, and then I come home and it's just like silent.

And at the beginning of the week I was like ugh, peace and quiet, yes!

But like, now I'm just like oh my god I just want someone to talk to me, someone to bring

me somewhere so I can just like not be alone!

But, I mean, I kinda have to be at home, 'cause of the dog-o, and the cat-o... and the cat

as well.

Um and yeah, that's like really been annoying this whole week, that like there's no one

else to watch my pets, because otherwise I would like take the bus places, like I really

wanted to, after school today, um go to uptown because I've been wanting to go to American

Apparel, because they're like closing down and they have a 40% of sale, and I've like

never shopped there, but with this sale I feel like I would be able to afford some things,

and like I do like their clothes, and I like that they're made um in the U.S. um, I know

there's been some controversy over like... something, I can't remember exactly what it

was, but like the owner of the store did something, I don't know, but like... like there's no

like pure store.

Like everything that you buy, everything that you do like is going to hurt someone, you

can like be ethically like 100% ethically pure when you're purchasing something because

like that's like the flaw of capitalism and like our society blah blah blah [laughs] I

don't need to talk about that.

But yeah, I wanted to go do that but I didn't because this morning I was like feeling really

anxious and scared because there was like possibly going to be a walkout at my school

today because um it's inauguration day, and I like...

I was like really scared to do that especially 'cause like I knew that none of my friends

would like - mean I would have some friends that would do it but most of my friends like

wouldn't, just because like my best friend like - or one of my best friends is like super

academic... whatever, um so she's always really focused on school, and then I don't know,

I don't have a lot of friends, so that's like the only person that really matters to me,

and then my other best friend is not in town, um she's touring a college or something- or

a college interview!

Anyway, I'm getting way off topic, what was I saying?!

Um, oh yeah I was having anxiety about that this morning so I like gave up that little

dream to go to uptown on the bus 'cause like *that* has been something I have been like

working towards, or like working up to do, 'cause I've been like scared to do it like...

I dunno it's hard for me to like bus places and... like I don't have my license and like

*that's* hard like I never practice driving like I only practice driving like a half hour

max per week.

But I haven't at all this week because my parents aren't here.

[Sighs] I just really want to get my license before I go to college, even though I probably

won't be driving during college- or at least my first year 'cause like most colleges don't

let you have a car when you're a freshman.

But um yeah, so I just gave up on that dream of going to uptown and I was like "I'm not

gonna bring money to school 'cause I'm not gonna do that, I'm just gonna go right home,

or I'm gonna go to the walkout, or something's happening."

So yeah, what ended up happening was that there wasn't really a walkout, or at least

like- there might have been like a city-wide- there was like some walkouts I think- or like

state-wide, but like at my particular school, no one was organizing one so that like didn't

happen.

So I really like could've went to uptown after school, and like I wanted to go there specifically

because it's like a really straight shot like bus ride there from my school and like from

my house too, but like it's just taking the same bus I would take to get home except the

opposite direction.

But yeah I didn't do that so I just went home, 'cause I didn't have money with me.

And I'm thinking I might try to do that monday even though my parents will be home - I don't

know why I'm trying to like do a bunch of stuff when my parents aren't here like I can

do things when they are here like that doesn't matter, it's not like I'm not allowed to do

things.

I mean the left me, a 17 year old, alone in this big house where there's like alcohol

and stuff, but they know that I'm such a nerd and such a loner that like nothing's going

to happen, oh my god.

It's kind of been making me wish that I like had a significant other or something so that

we could like fool around but yeah I'm.. forever alone, that's my life.

What else to I wanna talk about?

[laughs] yeah that's how this video basically started, I basically was like "I'm lonely

I'm gonna talk about it in a video that's super low quality because my- I'm using my

computer's camera and those are always shit."

But I don't have a better camera , like my iPad one is better, like that's what I've

used in the past, but it's just so- like my iPad has like no memory even though there's

like nothing on that iPad.

Like, ugh, I hate Apple products, they give you like no memory and like so many apps that

you don't need are on there.

Anyway, so I'm not using my iPad and my phone's not better, and I don't- yeah, I can't take

video's on my phone anyway because there's not enough memory, except I have like a lot

of things on my phone so that's understandable.

Um, and I have a camera but it's like a camera not like a video camera, so it doesn't have

like the little- like I need to get a camera that has the little like window thing so you

can see yourself, at least to that I can like, you know, set it up so it like sees me right,

'cause I think one time I tried to use it and I had like a mirror and I was trying to

like position it, and I was like taking pictures and then looking at them and I'm like "no

that's wrong" ugh, it's just too complicated, so I'm just using this, event though it's

shitty quality.

But you'll deal with it, my... non-viewers [cringes].

Here I am, looking at the camera- I mean looking at myself again instead of looking at the

camera, ugh, I'm like having a conversation with myself, you know, it's like I wish I

had like a generic like person face like on my screen that I could like talk to, you know,

but I mean I just wish I had someone to talk to, but I don't so that's why I'm making this

video.

Um, like I said, uh one of my best friends is like super busy with like school and stuff

so she is never available, and then my other friend is not in town this weekend, and my

parents aren't in town, and then I don't know what my sibling is doing, I think they're

working or something, I don't know maybe they're not but it's too late to have them come over.

[Sighs] *sarcastic voice* The world is against me!

But like, that's like legitimately how I felt like before I started listening to music and

stuff.

I was like "oh my god" like "why don't I have more friends" like "why this, why that."

And like I still feel that way, but at least I'm like not like in a rut anymore I dunno.

I do wish I had more friends that like I could hang out with.

Like, I have friends at school that I talk to, I have classes with, like we eat lunch

together, but it's not like I can just like text somebody and be like "hey are you busy,

wanna like come to my house and eat junk food?"

like, I mean maybe if I texted that to them they'd be like "yeah!" but like...

I don't think- I don't think so.

I mean, if I were talking to my therapist, she'd be like *weird voice* "I think maybe

they would" or something like that - that's not how my therapist sounds - um but my anxiety's

like "don't do it!

don't initiate hanging out with people!"

And like, I don't *need* to, I don't need more than 2 friends.

[shakes head] yes I do.

Maybe I do, maybe I don't.

But 2 is better than zero right?

At least I have some kind of support system.

Except when none of the 3 people I care about are available, I end up here, alone sad, etc.

I don't know where I'm going with this...

But going back to the topic of like college and this is what it's gonna be like in college,

like I'm so!- oh man I'm not ready.

I haven't decided [burps] 'scuse me.

I haven't decided where I'm going yet, 'cause I haven't heard back from all of the schools

I applied to, but I just- I don't feel like super attached to any of the colleges I applied

to, like I just have this feeling that like I'm gonna regret my decision no matter what

it is - I think my dog just farted, Anyway!

But yeah, I just like... it's really overwhelming, like I shouldn't have to plan out the next

10 years of my life when I'm 17 and don't know anything.

Um, but that's how our society works, so that's my life.

And like, I dunno, I'm trying to enjoy senior year and not like be super stressed about

it, and like honestly this is like the least I have cared about anything like in my whole

life.

Like senior slide is real and it's really- it's really taking a toll.

Like grade-wise I'm like doing the same as I always do, like mostly A's, um, I think

I have all A's and like two A-'s.

And like that's always been who I am I don't know like I've never taken like super hard

classes.

Like, I took a hard class last year which was physics and that like kicked my ass!

And I guess I could've tried harder 'cause like you could retake tests as much as you

wanted - you couldn't see what you go wrong!

But, I don't know, that class was just real hard for me, and I ended up getting like a

C+ one semester, one quarter, and I mean- I know I never got an A, I might've gotten

like a- at the most a B+ but I think I just got like a B. Um, but like this year I'm not

taking any hard classes like that.

I mean my math class is like much harder than it was last year, for me, 'cause last year

I did a lot of the same things I already knew, 'cause I took the like kind of less advanced

class compared to like, some of the other kids that were in my previous class, because

I didn't wanna like over-stress myself, and I don't care that much about ba- math [rolls

eyes] - and I don't care that much about math and like I'm gonna be an english major so

like I don't need that as much.

So yeah I didn't take the hard math, I took like the medium math basically, but yeah it's

been harder this year, but I'm like managing.

But I mean I just did this math project that was like The worst paper I've ever written

in my life, but, I mean I haven't gotten the grade back yet, obviously 'cause like I just

turned it in like a week ago, and it was like this big project, but like yeah that was bad.

What other classes...

Oh yeah, senior year I like wanted to take this computer science class because, you know,

I've been- I wanted to take this computer science class because like coding is a hobby

of mine.

I like make themes for tumblr, which like- a very select amount of people use my themes.

It's like all like Dan and Phil blogs that like use my themes and that's like really

weird like I don't know how they found my themes but like they're like the only blogs

that use them.

But, I'm not mad about it, I guess, I just like, like making themes and I just like post

them and if someone wants to use them awesome, if someone doesn't then like it's whatever.

But I dunno, it's kind of relaxing.

So I wanted to take a class on it before I went to college, because you have to pay for

classes there, but this class has been like harder than I thought it would be- or like,

more stressful is really the case, like it hasn't been very hard and I'm not like- I

don't have like a bad grade or anything, but like right away, like first or second day

of school he [the teacher] was like "this is gonna be like all group projects!" and

I was like "wait what???"

I was like "computer science... you work on your computer... by yourself" like I was not

expecting that, I don't like group work, especially when it comes to coding.

I was like "noooo!"

And I mean I could've like switched out but I didn't really have an alternative that I

wanted to take, so like I've been sticking with it, and like I considered dropping the

class next semester, 'cause this semester ends in a week, but I think I can handle it.

And like, I kinda wanna just like stick with my decision and..

I dunno, my teacher's really routing for my 'cause I'm like one of two girls in the class-

or at least I think so, I don't know everyone's gender identities.

But yeah, like towards the beginning of the year he was like "yeah, I don't know what

girls don't take this class, like it makes me sad!" and he's always like telling me - my,

I don't know if you just heard that but my dog like whined, I don't know why - but yeah,

[A segment of the video was accidentally deleted??]... getting some IB thing, but it's just 'cause

my school offers basically only IB classes, or like the only like higher level classes

available are the IB classes.

And there's like a couple AP classes, but like they don't fit my interests.

And like, I am interested in the classes I'm taking, mostly, but they're all so focused

on like teaching for the test, and I just think that's so bogus like I don't know, learning

shouldn't be about like always talking about this test that you're gonna take like, that

shouldn't be the main motivation factor for like doing assignments and learning and like

studying for things, like I dunno I would really much rather take a class that isn't

like that.

But I mean, maybe that'll be what it's like in college, it's like they won't stop talking

about the final exam, in the same way that my teachers won't stop talking about the IB

exam, but at least with the college classes I will be taking those final exams, whereas

in the IB classes, I am not taking any of those exams, so all of their preparation and

stuff is like meaningless to me.

And that's why I think it's annoying like I have to hear all of this and listen to all

this and sit through all this when it's not applicable to me.

Okay, my dog has to go outside so I think I'm gonna like wrap up this video that's 27

minutes long already.

[to my dog] I know Axel I will bring you out in just a second!

Um, thanks for listening if you did, um I really just rambled for a good half hour.

But, you know, that was nice.

I encourage you, my singular viewer, to also vlogs, and if you enjoyed this video- i mean

I'm gonna tell you to like it 'cause I don't care but like, if you enjoyed this video and

you want me to watch your videos, I might be interested but, no guarantees!

Yeah, I dunno, I don't really have like an exit- like I don't really have an out-ro or

anything either so, bye!

I Shaved My Head - Duration: 19:40.

Hello ladies and gentlemen and everyone too cool for this binary. My name's Ben, and it's

been a while. I don't think I've made a T update since I was about five months in, and

I'm over nine months in to this whole spiel now so it's [laughs] it's been a bit of time

but hey, I'm here now. I'll probably make a proper T update soon. But for now I shaved

my head a few weeks ago. I had dyed my hair like a really bright blue and I let it grow

out really long and the hair dye faded and it was just too long to suit my style right

now, and I decided it was time to cut it. I decided to shave my head sort of impulsively

but not really impulsively because, I don't know if there's a good way for me to articulate

this, but I grew up watching all of the men in my life shave their heads and it was always

this thing for me that was super symbolic of something that I desperately wanted but

I didn't know how to articulate that I wanted it and also something that was completely

forbidden to me because I was supposed to be this, like, stereotypical embodiment of

"femininity," you know, whatever that means. And I knew that cutting all my hair off was

just something that I couldn't do. Even as a small child, I understood that it wasn't

- it was something I wasn't supposed to do. But it was something that all my friends could

do, and it was something that my family could do. It was just something that I couldn't

do. Once I got older and realized that I was trans and put all the words to it, found all

the language to describe what I was feeling, I was still afraid to take that step. Not

just because of, like, what other people would think of me because - like, whatever, right?

But because - and this is not the way that I think now, you know, I've evolved in my

way of thinking - but at the time, I felt really self-conscious about my hairline. And

I knew that if I shaved my head, I would have a hairline that read to other people as "female."

And that was going to bother me. And so I just didn't do it. And again, that's not how

I think now, you know, you can be male and have that type of hairline. You can be female

and not have that type of hairline. But at the time, I just couldn't reckon with that.

And so I've been on T for a while; my hairline has receded. I'm pretty confident in the way

that I'm going to be read by other people, and I felt content to take that step that

had felt so far off for so long. That's what I did, and that's why I did it. And I recorded

the process, so without further ado, here is video of me shaving my head and making

a complete and total mess. So I don't know how much of this you can see. I know that

the camera's at kind of a weird angle. It's the only way I can position it, and it's as

tall as my tripod can go. But you can see, kinda, my hair's really faded since I dyed

it. It was like a bright, vibrant blue, and now it's kind of green, kind of blonde, really

brown at my roots. And it's time for it to go. I've only ever cut my own hair once. But

now I'm gonna try and shave my head because I'm a little bit impulsive. I'm gonna start

with a bigger guard, though, so wish me luck. I really hope this records; I checked the

camera before and it stopped recording automatically. And there's no way for me to see from this

angle whether or not it's recording, because my camera is a little sad despite the fact

that I'm a cinema major. [sighs] Let's do this. [laughs] I'm gonna have hair all over me.

So I definitely need to switch to a different guard. The floor is gonna be covered in my

hair. I probably should have, like, cut some of the longer bits before I started this,

but we're just winging it. I really should have cut the longer bits. But it's too late,

we're here now. Executive decision while I already look real dumb and am covered - absolutely

covered - in hair... The struggle is real when you, uh, when you bind. You can't exactly

do a video shirtless. I guess I could, but it'd be uncomfortable for all of us, and I'd

have a lot more editing to do. Anyway, while I look real dumb, let's break out the scissors.

That's gonna make this a lot easier. [singing] My camera's dying, this is a problem. There's,

uh, really no going back now. I don't know how this works. How do you cut hair? Don't

ever, ever, ever let me do anything in a salon. Holy shit. [singing] This is a lot of hair,

and it's really blue. There's one thousand percent no going back now - oh, there's my

binder. You know that scene in Mulan where she cuts all her hair off with scissors [I

meant to say "a sword" whoops] that's kind of badass? I don't feel like that. Maybe it's

'cause I'm not going off to war to save my dad. Take two. Right now I just look hella

dumb. I hope this gets better. I'm covered in hair. Hair for days! I need one of those,

like, those things that barbers have. They wrap around you. But then how do you cut your

own hair with one of those? Can you cut your own hair with one of those? I don't know how

hair works. This is going... About as well as I'd hoped. Well the good news is so far,

I seem to have somehow given myself a part in my shaved head. So I'll update you on that

situation. I may have a parted shaved head. I hope I can fix that. Probably shoulda gone

with the four. But, uh, no backing out now. I'm gonna switch out the battery. Back to

work. I'm gonna see if there's any way I can fix this, uh, accidental part situation [laughing]

I got going on here. What am I doing? What am I doing? It's just hair. It grows back.

Alright, let's, uh... Maybe if I get it wet, kinda move it around a little bit. That's

doing... Something. [laughing] Oh god. My roommate doesn't know this, but - my roommate

Melissa, the roommate who is not currently here - but hey, Melissa, hi, if you're watching

this, I'm so sorry. I borrowed your mirror for this shit show. [laughing] You still love

me, right? [Singing] I don't know what I'm doing; I'm just kinda doing it [laughs]. You

know, if ever there was a - oh my god, I'm so covered in hair, ahh - sorry if you, uh,

keep seeing my binder there (you're not lol), um, if ever there was a [laughs] trans guy

stereotype, I think it might be the, uh, starting-T-and-then-shaving-head stereotype. See, this side of my head - listen,

I know most of this video I'm facing away from you, but it's 'cause I need to see myself

in the mirror. Not that I'm vain; I just can't tell what the fuck I'm doing. I have a guard

for my ears, I'm just not using it. I'm a hundred and ten percent certain that I'm not

doing this properly. But, like, then again, I'm just shaving my head. I'm just removing

all of the hair. Is there a proper way to remove all of your hair? Probably. I didn't

[laughing] go to... Beauty school? Cosmetology school? I'm so sorry. I am so stereotypical

today. Toxic masculinity. How are my ears doing? That's a weird question. Not too bad.

Again, I have a guard that does this. I'm just not using it. God, I'm never going to

get the hair off of this shirt though. Let's... Let's investigate this. I can probably do

a little more on the sides? Maybe? How does it look on the side - wait! I don't know how

mirrors work. Alright, I got this. In theory. I realize you can't see anything I've been

doing this whole time. Just, just roll with that. And take comfort in the fact that you

can't watch me fuck up. Maybe I'm not fucking up. This is honestly really fun. Even if I

do have a few weird patches of hair now. It'll grow back. It'll grow back. I can see that

there are bits and pieces that are still blonde or blue. I don't think there's really anything

I can do about those. I'm gonna have to clean this fucker. Alright, let's try to get the

back of my neck. This is the hardest part for me because I just really don't know what

I'm doing. I can't really see it as well as I would like to be able to - ah shit. Well.

I fucked up. I can fix it. It's fine. Everything is fine. How do people do this without mirrors?

Do they just not grow hair on the back of their necks? Am I just really gross and hairy

back here? I need to turn this way. I'm sorry. You see nothing. Here, this is what it looks

like so far. I'm stepping all over my own hair. That's pretty squared away, right? I

don't know how anything works. Let's see if I can get this side even. This isn't professional

in any way. That's not even. I've told like one person I'm doing this and it's not a person

who lives with me [laughs]. Whatcha think? I think it's probably time for me to shower.

And clean up this mess. I guess I'll check the mirror one more time? Make sure I didn't

miss anything absolutely crucial. Seriously, how do people do this without a mirror? I

don't, I'm - my dad does this without a mirror. I don't get it. How? You know what, I might

fix my hairline a little bit. But that might get, uh, dicey. [singing] This is a mistake,

I'm making a huge mistake, boy I made a mistake. Also, alright, so note that I haven't shaved

that much off of this side. This side of my hairline has receded more than this side.

Like, that's just a fact about my hair. And I don't know how to feel about it. I'm assuming

it's gonna change with time, and this side'll match up... This side of my face also grows

more hair. Actually, this side of my body grows more hair. Is that supposed to happen?

I mean... I guess? [sighs] I don't know that I wanna mess with this too much, you know?

'Cause, like, then I'm gonna look dumb... er. But at the same time, Currently I'm uneven.

I made a mistake. Well, it is now exceedingly obvious that I shaved a little bit right here,

too. And unfortunately, that's where my camera cut out. But you know, you can see sort of

how it turned out. I mean, it's grown out a bit, but I - I like it okay. I think it's

pretty cool. I'm content with it. I don't know what I'm gonna do when it grows out.

I'm probably just gonna have to develop a lot of patience, because I don't think I want

to shave it again immediately - though probably at some point in the future, you know, I'll

shave my head again. It's whatever. It was an experience I wanted to have at least this

one time. And I'm happy that I gave myself the chance and the room to do it. Yeah, that's

about all I have to say on the matter. Like I said, I will try to make a proper T update

video at some point in the near future. A lot has happened, but life got kinda crazy,

and I just - I - I wasn't really feeling the [laughs] the video making. But I think I'm

back now. So hopefully I will talk to you real soon. Bye YouTube.

Shawn Farquhar Card Trick Revealed - Duration: 3:16.

how's it going and today i'm going to show you how to do the shawn farquhar card trick

I don't know if i'm saying his name right shawn farquhar i'm not to familiar about him

but he's a card magician like shin lim but anyways i'm going to teach you how to do one

of his tricks witch he tough in a video and i'll link it in the description so you can

watch it yourself now so take the 2 top cards cards witch is the king of hearts and the

four of spades so were going to take the king of hearts four of spades were going to put

one right there see that and another one right there so we got both cards right in there

right in the middle of the deck with one little move lets see if i can do this really fast

check this out the king of hearts and the four of spades come right back up now to do

this trick is very very simple all your doing is taking the king of hearts and four of spades

and your taking the opposites of them so for the four of spades I would actually get out

the four of hearts so let me go back in here and get the four of hearts this might take

a second for me four of hearts and now I get the king of spades so let me grab the king

of spades out of here right real quick king of spades king of spades right there now what

i'm doing is lets say it's going to be the king of hearts and the four of spades so i'm

going to put the that's what i'm going to say at the beginning i'm going to put the

king of hearts on the bottom and the four of spades on top you can do it the opposite

way if you want but they don't half to be there two exact cards now your going to out

the king of spades on top and the king four of hearts on top as well and your just making

it so all of the cards stay in the same spot make sure the bottom one stays there and the

three that are right here now as you pull the cards up they can your going i's going

to the king of spades and the four of hearts but you want to say the king of hearts and

the four of spades kuz when you put them in the middle there going to look it's going

to be like this see see it's on the bottom right there when you put it in the middle

those cards are gone but when you go like this the cards that you said will be there

and they there mind will just get cough up on it and they will be like how did you do

that the kings of hearts and the four of spades now I personally think this is a really cool

trick I please check out the shawn farquhar video i'll leave the link in the description

TRUMP VS AFICA - Unpredictable Trump could prove a game changer for Africa! - Duration: 6:42.

Unpredictable Trump could prove a game changer for Africa

With his win of the White House, president-elect Trump has made no secret that his electoral

college mandate to "make America great again" should apply to US foreign policy as well.

During the campaign and after his victory, Trump has unabashedly and unpredictably turned

US policy on its head with a cascade of jaw-dropping statements about Mexico, China, Russia and

Putin, ISIS, Muslims, NATO, Israel and more.

There is, however, one area of the world Trump seems to have eschewed altogether, an area

where his skittishness could prove a boon.

For the past eight years Africa has been relegated to the back burner of US foreign policy.

President Obama, whose father hailed from Kenya, elicited high expectations when he

came to office and was seen, initially, as a potential champion for African causes.

Yet, aside from his struggling "Power Africa," a $7-billion presidential initiative launched

in 2013 and aimed at doubling Africa's electrical grid by 2030, Obama has little to show for

when it comes to Africa.

Unlike his immediate predecessor, who morphed into a staunch Africa supporter with several

African programs to boot (including his Presidential Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, PEPFAR), the

first black president departed from the White House in January 2017 with a legacy of soaring

rhetoric and lofty slogans, but no tangible and successful African signature policies.

Enter Trump: bombastic and volatile, with neither affinity nor proximity to Africa,

but a brazen sense of unpredictability.

Collective speculation, as echoed by University of Johannesburg professor Peter Vale in a

CNN opinion piece, holds that Trump's foreign policy on Africa "is likely to be non-existent."

Because Trump favors protectionism, the argument goes, he will turn his back on Africa and

will happily don Obama's mantle to continue Washington's minimalist involvement in African

affairs.

Trump, however, might just do the opposite and, just as George W. Bush, surprise many

critics by implementing sensible policies vis-à-vis Africa.

One may wonder why.

Why would Trump care about Africa?

Why should Africa matter to a Trump administration that has pledged to build roads and bridges

in North Carolina, not in South Sudan?

The answer to these questions is simple: China.

If Trump is serious about China, as he has ostensibly touted on the campaign trail and

via twitter, if he is determined to flex his muscles against China, he should first challenge

the rising power of the Red Dragon in Africa.

That's because Africa has served as China's economic launching pad for over two decades.

Africa has fueled and will continue to fuel China's booming industries for several decades

to come.

With the US economic presence in Africa receding, China has occupied the void and driven competition

out, including many European companies and investors.

The Chinese are building infrastructures at a dizzying pace, from Cairo to Cape-town,

in exchange for Africa's rich mineral ores.

Buoyed by state subsidies, Chinese companies are outbidding competition with many shoddy,

built-on-the-fly construction projects, and take a disproportionate role in Africa's extractive

production and industries.

Thousands of Chinese companies are doing business in 50 African countries, down to some small-scale

businesses operating in Africa's remotest villages.

Chinese state-owned companies are buying vast swatches of Africa's arable land to set up

large-scale agricultural projects.

Together, they contributed to the estimated $300 billion generated by China-Africa trade

in 2015.

In addition to trade, China relies on loans to buttress its presence in Africa.

In 2015, during the sixth Forum on China-Africa Cooperation held in Johannesburg, Chinese

president Xi Jinping pledged a whopping $60 billion loan, aid, and export credit package

to Africa.

Then there are America's national security interests that should also matter as Trump

is assembling his team.

Islamic terror groups, including Al-Shabaab and Al Qaeda operate cell groups in Africa's

rogue states.

They are after American soft targets and it's just a matter of time, if the trend is not

reversed, until we see the kind of acts that targeted American interests in Nairobi and

Benghazi.

The Chinese, of course, prefer not to interfere with what they consider to be African states'

internal affairs.

African dictators are leery of a Trump presidency, and for good reason.

A new sheriff is in town, and unlike the one he will replace in January he may not be all

talk and no cider.

With his penchant for contumely and tit-for-tat escalation, Trump might be the game changer

that shakes things up in Africa and disrupts corrupt political regimes that have quietly

survived and thrived under Obama's two terms in office.

They have largely ignored Obama's paper tiger rhetoric, but Trump's iron fist may well be

what will compel them to get in line and relinquish their illegitimate power.

Why?

Because dictators and failed states are bad for business.

They feed on corruption, serve as breeding ground for terrorism, and have no qualms about

letting their nuclear raw materials fall into wrong hands.

Democratically-elected African leaders, on the other hand, may find in President Trump

an unlikely ally, a more decisive and unfettered leader to work with to advance an economic

and political agenda that could benefit both the US and Africa.

As the global spotlight shines on his presidency, Trump might prove his critics wrong by dealing

differently with Africa and restoring America's clout on a continent that cannot afford to

put its eggs in the same basket and should not let China's monopolistic drive dictate

the terms and pace of its development.

Far-right French presidential nominee lauds Trump at 'counter-summit' as she foresees European 'a... - Duration: 1:53.

French far-right presidential hopeful Marine Le Pen praised President Trump on Saturday and said 2017 will be the "year of the awakening of the people of continental Europe."

Addressing an unprecedented meeting of European right-wing populists in Germany, Le Pen said Trump's victory along with England's shocking departure from the European Union have unleashed an unstoppable wave of "all the dominos of Europe."

"His position on Europe is clear. He does not support a system of the oppression of peoples," she said of Trump. "2016 was the year the Anglo-Saxon world woke up.

I am certain 2017 will be the year when the people of continental Europe wake up."

"It's no longer a question of if, but when," she added as she railed against migration, the euro and open borders.

The event was billed as a "European counter-summit" attended by anti-immigration and anti-Islamic groups from across the continent.

Many in the crowd praised Trump as a harbinger of change.

"Yesterday, a new America. Today — hello Koblenz — a new Europe!" Dutch anti-Islam leader Geert Wilders said as he opened his speech in the German city of Koblenz on the banks of the Rhine River.

Populist parties have been surging in polls in Europe and the mood of the leaders was celebratory as they came together in support of one another the day after Trump was sworn in.

Trump's election followed a heated campaign rife with anti-establishment and protectionist themes.

Le Pen, head of the far-right National Front, is among the top contenders in France's presidential vote.

She denounced the 28-nation European Union as "a force of sterilization," and assailed Germany's Angela Merkel — whose name was booed loudly — for allowing in large numbers of migrants. "Everyone sees that this migration policy is a daily disaster," Le Pen said.

A stolen blade has found its way back to a worthy owner, but she's reluctant to wield it.

At the rebel base on Atollon, Fenn Rau (Kevin McKidd) has been summoned by blind Jedi Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.) to discuss the Darksaber after its recovery from Maul's hideout on Dathomir.

Assisted by a really cool graphic, Rau recalls the legend surrounding the weapon: it was created more than 1,000 years ago by Tar Vizsla, the first Mandalorian to join the Jedi. After he died, the Jedi kept it in their temple on Coruscant until members of House Vizsla stole it back. They used the blade to cut down any rivals and unite all of Mandalore.

Some fans will note that the art style here is very similar to the one used for Anakin Skywalker's dark vision in the 2004 "Clone Wars" series.

Rau remembers that Sabine Wren (Tiya Sircar) told him that she was a member of "Clan Wren, House Vizsla" during their first encounter and wonders about her reaction to finding the weapon. Kanan notes she simply handed it to him and hasn't mentioned it since.

Sabine Wren takes the spotlight, and the Darksaber, in this exceptional episode.

"She doesn't want the responsibility," says Rau. "Kanan, if Sabine can wield this saber then she can reunite one of the most powerful houses in all of Mandalore."

It would appear that Rau wants to see Sabine to leading an army.

Chopper brings Sabine to meet the rest of the Ghost crew, but she immediately refuses to take the weapon. When Kanan suggests that she reconsider, Padawan Ezra Bridger (Taylor Gray) pipes up to remind everyone how difficult it is to wield a lightsaber.

When Rau pushes, Sabine highlights the fact that she isn't very popular with her family (finally giving us some hints about her past).

"I have a family, here on this ship," she says forcefully. "I don't need them."

Captain Hera Syndulla (Vanessa Marshall) adds her voice to the mix, imploring Sabine to do it so they can use Mandalorian warriors in their long-planned assault on Lothal.

She finally agrees and Kanan announces that it's time to begin her training.

Sabine, Ezra and Kanan take a speeder out to Bendu's desert hideout, with plenty of fun banter between the three. The elder Jedi throws a training stick to Sabine and she lunges at him, only to find herself getting knocked to the ground effortlessly.

The Mandalorian trains with Ezra Bridger, as she prepares to take responsibility for her home planet's future.

"And that's your head," says Kanan. "Every mistake is a limb lost; the blade is never at rest."

He walks away and leaves the teenagers to run through basic forms, which makes the episode seem like an old-fashioned samurai movie. Hera contacts Kanan for an update and they discuss the challenge of training someone who can't use the Force, especially someone as "tightly wound" as a Mandalorian.

Rau arrives with supplies just as Sabine over commits to an attack and falls to the ground. He quietly gives her a pair of Mandalorian vambraces and informs her that they contain a grappling hook, paralyzing darts and a repulsor — all specifically designed to counter Jedi powers.

"Go take Bridger down a peg or two," he says with a smile.

When Sabine and Ezra battle again, she uses the repulsor (which acts like a Force push) to knock him to the ground. She gets cocky and decides to take on Kanan, immediately binding him with her grappling hook like Boba Fett did to Luke Skywalker in "Return of the Jedi."

Much like Luke, Kanan cuts himself free and knocks her down, before angrily lecturing her on the ineffectiveness of such tricks on fully trained warriors. After all, the Mandalorians lost their war against the Jedi. Sabine slams his teaching ability before storming off.

Ezra follows her and she tells him that she knows she can learn to wield the Darksaber, but doesn't want to accept the responsibilities that come with it. As far as her family are concerned, she's a traitor to Mandalore.

"At least you have parents to go back to," says Ezra, before walking away.

Before she is taken down a peg, Sabine gloats in victory.

Feeling guilty, Sabine kicks a nearby rock and goes her own way. She doesn't see that the rock is a part of the hidden Bendu, who gazes quietly at her (suggesting that the Force is guiding her path).

Via holo, Hera encourages a crestfallen Kanan and convinces him to let Sabine use the Darksaber in her training.

"I know what it's like when people you love don't believe in you," she reminds him, continuing the episode's trend of bringing up Ghost crewmembers' family problems.

Sabine apparently finishes her soul searching that night, when she returns to her allies and shares apologies with Kanan. Interestingly, the Jedi has taken off his helmet to reveal his sightless eyes — making him seem more human. He hands Sabine the Darksaber and she ignites it dramatically.

Ezra reminds Sabine that she can still make things right with her family.

When she points out that it's heavy, Kanan tells her that she and the blade have a symbiotic relationship, before swinging his lightsaber and forcing her to block. The sequence that follows is beautiful, with Kanan adopting an elegant fencing style — Form II — that resembles the one used by the late Grand Inquisitor.

The Jedi's blows come at increasing speed and Sabine easily blocks each one, but is ultimately knocked to the ground. When she gets up and blocks the next series of blows, she realizes that the Darksaber feels lighter.

"You're connecting to it, it's becoming a part of you," says Kanan. "But cannot rely solely on the blade — you must use all your skills together."

When he knocks the saber from her hand, Sabine uses her grappling line to retrieve it — much as a Jedi would with the Force. However, she loses this ability as she hits the ground again and her wrist brace is damaged by the weapon.

Kanan taunts her and Sabine attacks with greater ferocity, talking about how she sacrificed her relationship with her mother, father and brother to save them and her home planet.

"I built weapons, terrible weapons, but the Empire used them on Mandalore, on friends, on family, people that I knew" she shouts, finally revealing the guilt she feels.

"They controlled us through fear — Mandalore feared the weapons I helped create. I helped enslave my people."

Sabine says that she spoke out against the Empire, but her family failed to support her and she was forced to leave.

"The Empire wanted to destroy worlds," she says. "And they did. They destroyed mine."

This gripping exchange stands out as one of the finest moments in "Star Wars" animation, as the Ghost crew's most mysterious member simultaneously tells everyone about her past and accepts her responsibility to her people — with a spectacular performance from Sircar — in a beautifully choreographed sequence.

Kanan tells Sabine that her family is in a prison "of their own making" and she must free them. Rau and Ezra say they'll both follow her on this mission.

"This family will stand by you, no matter what you choose," says Kanan.

"Star Wars Rebels" returns on Saturday Feb. 18 at 8:30 p.m. on Disney XD.
