El motivo radica en que Barceló ha desautorizado a sus subordinados en plena investigación judicial contra el ex responsable de la Policía en la comunidad, Antonio Cerdà, que acaba de ser imputado por un juez acusado de cobrar sobornos de narcotraficantes de Mallorca

Así, mientras los fiscales que han participado en la investigación consideran haber reunido firmes indicios de que Cerdà estaba a sueldo de los vendedores de droga, Barceló ha asegurado que la investigación no tiene fundamento

En declaraciones a este periódico asegura que el ex comisario es "un gran policía" y que no piensa autorizar una acusación contra él porque, además, es "amigo" suyo

Estas sorprendentes declaraciones han descontrolado un incendio que ha venido alimentándose desde hace meses al hilo de la que, en estos momentos, es la investigación de mayor repercusión de cuantas se están instruyendo en los tribunales de Baleares

Se trata de un caso impulsado por el departamento de Asuntos Internos de la Policía Nacional tras detectar "firmes" y "del todo verosímiles indicios" de que el antiguo jefe de la Policía Judicial de las Islas, Antonio Cerdà -un histórico integrante de la lucha anticorrupción que estuvo al frente, entre otras causas, del caso Nóos-, podría haber estado cobrando 10

000 euros al mes del mayor clan de narcotraficantes de etnia gitana de las Islas a cambio de protegerles y advertirles de las redadas policiales

Cerdà lleva 10 meses siendo investigado tras detectar la Policía que, estando ya jubilado y viviendo en una pequeña localidad rural del interior de Mallorca, había estado manteniendo contactos con el denominado clan de La Paca

La Policía detectó conversaciones entre los propios miembros de la banda de narcotraficantes en las que se aludía literalmente a que tenían que movilizar a su tesorero para desenterrar el dinero y "pagar a un pez gordo de la Policía"

Estos indicios han sido suficientes para que el juez instructor, Juan Manuel Sobrino, haya citado como investigado el próximo 8 de octubre por un presunto delito de cohecho al ex comisario Cerdà

Una citación que ha sido apoyada y solicitada por escrito por el fiscal que lleva la causa, Eduardo Navarro, progresista y representante de una facción de fiscales jóvenes que desde hace meses apoyan la necesidad de llegar al fondo del caso Cerdà

Su posición se ha topado, sin embargo, con la resistencia interna de fiscales más veteranos, como Miguel Ángel Subirán o Juan Carrau, quienes compartieron años de lucha contra el crimen organizado de la mano de Cerdà

Estos fiscales defienden en privado su inocencia y critican la investigación. En este contexto se produjo un movimiento entre bambalinas que ha acabado de dinamitar la situación

La maniobra fue protagonizada personalmente por el fiscal Barceló, que ha intercedido ante el juez Sobrino por el ex jefe policial Cerdà

Tras conocerse la imputación, Barceló habló personalmente con el magistrado para pedirle que adelantara la fecha con el fin de no prolongar la situación de Cerdà

El fiscal superior admitió estas gestiones a preguntas de este periódico. Incluso llegó a declarar que Cerdà es "amigo" suyo y que "ha sido un gran policía"

Esta gestión directa con el juez ha provocado un terremoto interno en la Fiscalía, especialmente intenso entre los fiscales del entorno de Eduardo Navarro, que le dan apoyo y que, aunque no quieren pronunciarse públicamente, consideran la maniobra del fiscal jefe una injerencia inadmisible, "la gota que colma el vaso" en una escalada de presiones y movimientos subterráneos encaminados a proteger al veterano ex comisario de la Policía

Es más, esta facción de fiscales no va a acatar la previsible orden de Barceló de pedir el archivo de la causa

Fuentes próximas a la propia Fiscalía han revelado a este diario que Cerdà ha amenazado con aflorar irregularidades de algunos representantes del Ministerio Público si finalmente le acusan

Asimismo, existe malestar en el seno del Ministerio Público en las Islas por que las conversaciones intervenidas al ex comisario durante la investigación revelan un serie de precauciones que atribuyen a que sabía que estaba siendo investigado

La existencia de esas pesquisas fue comunicada en tiempo real a Barceló, del que se sospecha que avisó a su amigo y frustró la investigación

Esta situación cuenta con un precedente similar. Barceló ya intercedió hace varios años en favor del ex presidente balear Jaume Matas, en estos momentos en prisión, y de Maria Antònia Munar, ex presidenta del Consell de Mallorca que también se encuentra privada de libertad

welcome to my channel

in this video i'm going to show you how to re-pot the peace lily plant and care

peace lily is excellent and lovely houseplant for the home or office

and low-maintenance houseplant

and now

this peace lily plant needs to re pot

because the pot is very small and signs that a plant has outgrown its container

to re pot the peace lily i just select clay pot with big drainage hole

this clay pot is 3 inches larger than its current pot

here the big drainage hole

i'm just covering the drainage hole with a piece of coco husk to keep the soil in the pot

water can drain out and air can get in

and then

putting some stones for better drainage

next soil mixture

this plant prefers well-drained soil

making soil mixture for peace lily

just adding

sand, compost, garden soil, saw dust and charcoal

overwatering and poor drainage are the most common reasons for a peace lily to die

charcoal used for the well drained soil

and

charcoal helps plants by improving soil pH, increasing water absorption

i'm going to take out the plant from the pot

i'm just pressing the pot to release the plant

now i'm putting some coco coir in the pot

this will help to keep the soil moisture for long time

so we don't need to pour water frequently

you should never water peace lily plants on a schedule

and check them once a week to see if they need to be watered

now i'm placing the plant in center of coco coir

and then adding the soil

in this stage almost potting is finished

i'm going to cover the top soil with some tree bark pieces

because in hot summer this will help from soil dryness

now summer season so i just adding the tree barks on the top of the soil

now repotting finished

keep the plant in brighter location

and peace lily don't need direct sun, preferring bright, indirect light from a nearby window

peace lily doesn't bloom in insufficient light

so keep in window area

and water the plant touch the top of the soil to see if it is dry

Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, former Sokoto governor, who is aspiring for the PDP ticket to contest the 2019 elections, says he would not leave the party if he loses in the primary election.

"I will remain in the PDP even I do not emerge its presidential flag bearer; as a democrat, I allow the people's will to prevail. In every race, there is always a winner and loser," Bafarawa said on Monday in Minna.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Bafarawa spoke at a meeting with the Niger State delegates of the party ahead of the PDP national convention slated for Oct. 5-6.

"I am a democrat that believes in playing according to the rules of the game. I am not a desperate politician. "There are people that joined the party to become State Governors or President. That, to me, is selfish.

"The interest of Nigeria and the PDP must come first. My personal ambition is last. Whether I succeed as PDP presidential aspirant or not, I will remain in the party and support the winner to ensure success," he said.

He called for unity among PDP members, saying that only a united front could defeat the APC and move Nigeria forward.

Bafarawa cautioned Nigerians seeking political offices against seeing such bids as "a matter of life and death", saying that making Nigeria a better nation should be the principal concern.

The aspirant urged the delegates to vote for him during the national convention, and promised to implement policies that would make Nigeria a great nation.

Responding, Mr Tanko Beji, PDP chairman in the state, said that there were 202 delegates from Niger, and promised to consider aspirants based on their individual merit.

Other PDP members seeking its presidential ticket are former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna and Kano governors, Ahmed Makarfi and Sule Lamido, as well as the governors of Gombe and Sokoto States, Dankwambo and Aminu Tambuwal.

The Wrong Pensioner To Rob

It's fair to say most people enjoy a very special bond with grandpas and grandmas.

They are kind, thoughtful and usually a little less strict when it comes to the rules than

our parents.

My grandparents were always on hand to help me bake, let me eat as many sweets as I wanted,

and take me on exciting trips.

It might only have been into the woods behind her house, but my grandma was able to turn

a little walk into an amazing pirate adventure, where treasure was hidden behind every stone.

As I got older, I realized there were no pirates behind grandma's house; no treasure behind

the stones.

But the fact that she could take the ordinary and make it extraordinary stuck with me.

Something else you learn about grandparents from an early age is that there's no point

trying to mess with them.

You know how it's going to end.

That's certainly the case if you encounter 77-year-old Winifred Peel from Wirral, UK.

One day, pensioner Winifred went to a cash machine to withdraw some money.

As she stood there, shielding her pin, she noticed someone coming up behind her.

Before she had time to act, two men had pulled her off balance.

Then, another man appeared.

One reached over Winifred and tried to withdraw £200 from her account.

Acting fast The men were thieves, and if Winifred did

not act quickly they were going to drain her account of all its money.

But when one of the men tried to take cash out, Winifred put a plan into action.

She grabbed the man's collar and slammed his head into the ATM with all the force she

could.

She managed to knock the man's head against the machine three times before the robbers

were forced to flee, running like dogs with their tails between their legs.

Winifred then placed a call to the police and the assailants were arrested later that

day.

One of the reasons the police were able to identify the men so easily was head wound

one of them had sustained as a result of Winifred's defensive action.

They were identified as Piper Dumitru, Florin Gebelscu and Felix Stoica.

All three later admitted their guilt in court and were jailed.

According to the prosecutor, the robbers drove to the village to find easy targets.

"They did not care about how this would affect me," Winifred said, as per British

source Metro.

"I would definitely say this has changed my life, I will never have the confidence

I once did."

Due to the fact that she had grown up with three brothers and went to the gym four days

a week, Winifred fortunately had a doggedness the robbers had not counted on.

Go Winifred!

I hope she taught those guys their lesson.

Of course, one should never aim to rob anyone, but three young men taking advantage of a

77-year-old grandmother?

That's simply beyond shameless.

Arsenal players were encouraged by Unai Emery's attention to detail in the lead up to Sunday's defeat to Manchester City

It is becoming increasingly clear to Arsenal players that their new manager will adapt tactics according to the opposition, a philosophy that represents a significant step away from Arsene Wenger's regime

Emery suffered a difficult start to life as Wenger's successor in losing 2-0 to the the champions, but the Arsenal board will remain patient as the Spaniard puts his stamp on the team knowing full well the size of the rebuilding job in front of him

Similarly, the players have found Emery's approach to games against Arsenal's closest rivals a refreshing change

Wenger was so convinced by his team's attacking capabilities that he'd often send teams out with an overwhelmingly forward-thinking strategy regardless of the opposition

The approach would often see Arsenal win handsomely against lesser opposition.Equally, though, the Gunners would lose convincingly - particularly during the closing years of Wenger's reign - against Europe's top teams

However, the current Arsenal squad were left encouraged by Emery's tactical adaptability ahead of the loss to the City

Emery spoke to his team about remaining compact in an effort to stifle City ahead of Sunday's fixture - a clear move away from Wenger's commitment to attacking football

And while Arsenal ended the game with a 2-0 loss, Emery's players believe the clear intention from their new manager to tweak their possession-based philosophy according to the opposition will be of long-term benefit

Meanwhile, Petr Cech believes the position as Arsenal No 1 is still up for grabs despite winning the race to start against Manchester City on Sunday

The former Chelsea goalkeeper's role as first-choice appeared to be under threat after the summer arrival of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen

But Cech started in the opening day loss to Manchester City to make a number of crucial saves to ensure the Gunners weren't embarrassed against the rampant champions

Nevertheless, the experienced shot-stopper is adamant he is not in permanent possession of the shirt, insisting new manger Unai Emery could yet make a change

'The manager has not told me I am now first-choice,' said Cech.'I was told I was starting the game (against Manchester City) and it will be up to me how well I play

'It was a challenge and obviously I was happy to get the nod today but nothing is finished

However, at times Cech appeared to be uncomfortable with Emery's instruction to play out from the back - nearly scoring a bizarre own goal in trying to pass out wide to a team-mate

But the keeper is adamant he is at ease with the philosophy of building from defence, saying: 'I'm comfortable with playing from the back

'You play the best way for the team and I think that in a way if you want to dominate the game through possession you need to use every player

'You can see at this level that one versus one is difficult to play so you need to use the goalkeeper as a spare man every time you can - that is the role of the goalkeeper

Designing Tracer's Blink Ability with Everyday Objects - Duration: 5:37.

Hello everyone, good to have you here. So this video is going to be a sequel to

the Designing Explosions with Cereal video I did a few weeks ago.

If you haven't seen it yet go check out because it's really cool. So what I decided to do for

this video was to gather other sounds from those 30 sources

and try to design the blinking ability from Tracer from Overwatch. This video right here.

And the sounds that I chose for this were the microwave, the traffic light buzzing,

the spring and the vacuum cleaner.

Now, what I wanted to do for this video was to challenge myself

not to run the sounds through a sampler, but just use some

plugins and layering to try to come up with something cool. So for the microwave,

all that I did was apply an EQ to cut off a little bit of the nasal frequencies

and boost the highs just accentuate the attack.

Now, for the spring, I didn't do anything to the sound itself,

but I created a new track and duplicated the files 2x

then a reversed them, time stretched them a little bit

and ran both of them through GRM Warp to warp the frequencies a little bit

and give them a different tonality.

And then I applied the built-in Pro Tools plugin, Sci-Fi, to give the sounds and more futuristic tonality.

And what they're doing is specifically is emphasising whenever she goes up and down,

but more specifically whenever she goes down to follow the trace as she goes down.

Next was a traffic light. Now, because the sound already has this texture of a futuristic gun,

it was the perfect sound to emphasise whenever she stops in the air and starts to fall as well.

So the first layer was a very sharp and high-pitched sound and I ran it through GRM Warp again

and the sci-fi plug-in. It was great.

As for the second layer I just put a limiter to make it louder,

followed by Waves H-Delay just because I loved that plug-in,

followed by GRM Pitch Accumulator just change the texture a little bit.

Now for the vacuum cleaner, I thought it was too empty. It was just a whoosh,

it wasn't adding anything special to the sound.

But what I wanted to do was to create this stutter effect with that more harsh windy sound.

So what I did was I applied a limiter just to make it louder

and then I ran it through an EQ just to cut off a little bit of the high-end not to be too aggressive,

and then I ran it through Waves MondoMod

to give the impression that is going like: doo-doo-doo. Something like this.

And finally, I just needed a low-end layer to accentuate the attack.

So what I did was was create a square wave out of the signal generator plug-in in Pro Tools,

applied some harmonic distortion, accentuated the low-end.

Just a reminder though: you're gonna hear it much better with good speakers or headphones.

And this is how the final result sounds like without and with all of the processing and volume automation.

And that's pretty much it. What I'm trying to do with these videos is to help you realise

that you don't need the highest and fanciest equipment in the market to do something cool.

You can just grab your phone or your pocket recorder and record your home

and try to design something like this.

You can do it. I know that you can do it and just be creative, you know?

Try to break it through the myth that you cannot achieve something great

by being limited to your budget. That is just not true. You're only limited by your creativity.

Emery Reveals Why He Picked Cech Ahead Of New Signing Bernd Leno ● News Now ● #AFC - Duration: 1:55.

Unai Emery has revealed why he elected to start Petr Cech ahead of Bernd Leno in the

2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

After a summer during which several first-team players were signed by Arsenal, just one of

them made the starting lineup on the opening match of the season.

Bernd Leno was perhaps the most surprising omission from the starting lineup after making

his move from Bayer Leverkusen.

Petr Cech started in his stead and captained the side but appeared to struggle at times

with the Gunners' buildup play.

Now, Unai Emery has revealed why he elected to start Cech over a goalkeeper who is perhaps

better known for his ability on the ball.

"We want the competition between the goalkeepers and also every player in the squad," Emery

said after the match.

"Despite the position, it is the same opportunity and the same chances for all the goalkeepers.

"We spoke also and Petr Cech, he is doing very well.

Today as well, I think he played well also.

He has this experience for continuing to defend our goal.

"Also, Leno is starting with us.

He is working very well, he played well in pre-season too but he has to wait for his

chance to arrive."

So, it doesn't seem like we can expect to see Leno in the starting lineup anytime soon.

Perhaps the German will act as the club's cup goalkeeper for his first few months at

Arsenal.
