Hey there.

Last week US bombs rained down on a school bus in Yemen, killing at least 50 people,

including dozens of children.

The US forever war is filled with horror, but this one is worth focusing on, because

it's so, so pointless.

We're not fighting ISIS here, we are supporting the invasion of Yemen by Saudi Arabia and

the United Arab Emirates.

It's just US supported murder, pure and simple.

For no good reason.

The Saudis and Emiratis are reliant on the US for intelligence, aerial refueling, and

all the military technology they are using.

We could stop this immediately, possibly saving millions of lives.

The Horrors of Yemen are especially frustrating because they are so easy to fix.

Much of the US forever war is justified as an attempt to fight terrorists like Al Qaeda

and ISIS.

As an in-depth report from the Associated Press underlined last week, in Yemen, the

United States is directly allied with Al Qaeda.

As far as I can see, that makes this war illegal.

In Yemen, the United States is acting as a state sponsor of Al Qaeda, the organization

that brought down the twin towers on 9/11.

Though they wouldn't put it in those terms, a bipartisan group of US legislators has been

trying to end this illegal, horrific war.

This March I hopefully documented the efforts of three US Senators to end the war.

This effort failed.

To add to the frustration, it failed quite narrowly.

Because nobody paid attention.

Unlike many issues, it wasn't the US congress that failed here.

It was us.

The American people, and the people of the world, failed the US congress.

It's easy to blame the media.

The war in Yemen is barely covered, and when it is, the stories often fall for the "It's

all About Iran" lie that the US and Saudi governments are selling.

But I think there's more to it than that.

Our cable news channels are a business.

They cover what we want them to cover.

And unfortunately what we want them to cover today is Donald Trump.

It's pointless to hope for anything worthwhile from the two Trump channels.

They are now making more money than ever, and they're not going to risk that by covering

some boring war that makes the US look bad.

But I think people are right to expect more from MSNBC.

It sells itself as the "progressive" news channel.

Historically, back before the days of the Russia panic, Progressive used to mean anti-war.

But MSNBC is failing as well.

They almost never mention US participation in Yemen.

Last month Adam Johnson, a left-wing Journalist, found a clever way to make people aware of

this.

He used a Stripper.

He pointed out that as of July 2nd a full year had passed without MSNBC covering the

US participation in the war on Yemen.

Over the same period they had run 455 segments talking about the stripper Stormy Daniels.

Trump cheated on his wife with Daniels, and his botched attempt to pay her off has been

a big part of the media's Trump bonanza over the past year.

Johnson's insertion of Yemen into the main money-making story was a great success.

The story was picked up everywhere and was very embarrassing to MSNBC.

It worked.

5 days ago, prompted by that embarrassment, and horror at the school bus bombing, Chris

Hayes of MSNBC ran a powerful two minute segment on the US War on Yemen.

He's right.

Our government, our public dollars are paying to kill Yemeni children.

And it's our government, and our representatives that can stop it.

See what I mean?

Great stuff.

Emotional, moving, great production values.

Those two minutes should be worth more than the hours of amateurish YouTube videos I've

put together on Yemen over the past year.

Or at least they should be.

But they're not.

Because we are failing MSNBC just as badly as we failed those heroic senators back in

March.

MSNBC has posted this video on YouTube.

And it hasn't done much better than my videos on Yemen do.

Of the 26 videos that MSNBC posted on YouTube on August 9th, the Yemen video is the worst

performing, by a lot.

At a little over 10,000 views it underperformed a video about Wookies.

Four videos that covered the Trump Russia investigation all broke 100,000 views, and

the video that included the crucial key words Mueller, Russia and Julian Assange broke 300,000

views.

With results like this, how many more Yemen segments do you honestly expect MSNBC is going

to produce?

Congress is trying to do the right thing here.

Even the US media is occasionally trying to do the right thing with Yemen.

We just aren't paying attention.

But we can fix this.

As I said at the beginning, Yemen is the easiest problem in the world to fix.

All the pieces are in place.

More people just need to know about it.

Because to know the war in Yemen is to oppose it.

So please, take that great MSNBC clip on Yemen and share it.

Share it right now.

You don't have to be from the United States to make a difference here.

If MSNBC gets a spike of views on this clip, I assure you they will take notice.

Because I, over the summer get so flip flopped around that I like sleep in until like 10,

but I stay up until like 2.

I have a hard time adjusting when the kids go back to school.

6am, 6am is a tough one.

I am not a morning person.

Even when we are tired the house still needs to get cleaned up and taken care of.

Different Ways to Say "Sorry!" | Useful English Expressions - Duration: 9:37.

Do you keep saying sorry but no one forgives you?

Find out why in this lesson because today I'm going

to teach you about different ways to say "Sorry."

Okay, so listen.

Sometimes saying "I'm sorry," it's just...it's not enough.

Or maybe it's just not appropriate.

And in English this is also the case.

There are different ways to say I'm sorry for different instances.

But how do you properly express yourself in English

if you truly are sorry about something you did?

Let's find out.

So first I want to look at how do you say you're sorry when you've made a small mistake.

So these are things like maybe you spilled a coffee on someone's paper.

Or maybe you've stepped on someone's shoe.

So these are smaller mistakes.

They are not horrible, life-changing kind of mistakes.

So just use them on small, small, tiny mistakes.

Number one is the simple "Sorry," or "Sorry about that."

So if you just say "Sorry about that," it's kind of an apology you do in passing.

So that is when you use this one for small mistakes

Number two..."My bad."

My bad is a very informal way to apologize.

It's almost like a non-apology.

It's kind of like saying "Yeah, I've made a little mistake.

But I don't care enough about it to apologize."

So you just say, "My bad."

The cat is mischievous.

He didn't carry he peed on the couch.

Number three..."My mistake."

And this one kind of means like a breakdown in communication.

Again, it's not a very heartfelt or deep apology.

It doesn't apply to a very, very, very big mistake that you've made.

It's just something small.

This can definitely be used in work context.

So you can say "Oh. My mistake I forgot to call you."

Or "I didn't give you the the right number." or something.

It has to do with smaller mistakes that you do.

But that you're still kind of taking responsibility for.

Okay, so the next set of apologies is for more serious mistakes.

These are mistakes that definitely impact someone's life.

Or really impact your life.

Maybe you've done something really bad at work.

Or maybe you've messed up something in your life or someone else's life.

These mistakes carry a little bit more weight.

So this is when it becomes important to make sure that you use the right kind of apology.

Number four is kind of a simpler one, and it's just really "I'm so sorry."

Just adding that SO there in the middle,

it just expresses that you care a little bit more.

That you've done something, and then it's just

it comes off as a lot more genuine than "I'm sorry."

Generally speaking, "I'm so sorry" conveys

a lot more emotion that "I'm sorry."

It's also not as strong as some of the other ones we'll see down this list.

So it's kind of for like a medium-sized mistake.

Number five is "I'd like to apologize."

Now this one can be safely used in a work context.

If you make a mistake you can always say "I'd like to apologize."

It's sincere, it's professional, and it gets the message across.

I'd like to apologize.

Number six..."I take full responsibility."

This is probably as professional as it comes.

It's definitely work approved, so you can use this at work when you've made a mistake.

And many times you can continue it with...

I take full responsibility for my actions.

I take full responsibility for my behavior.

I take full responsibility for any damage I may have caused.

The reason why I'm adding all of these is because this is

probably one of the more formal ways you can apologize.

You are being honest.

You are being serious.

You are willing to admit your mistake.

And you are doing it in a professional way.

Something I have also wanted to mention, especially if we're talking about work.

This is a very appropriate way to apologize even in a writing context.

So this being a more formal apology,

you can use it in writing like in work emails or letters.

This is appropriate. I take full responsibility.

Number seven..."It's all my fault."

Now this one is definitely about a serious mistake.

It's just not as formal as the previous ones.

So you might not see it in writing, but just speaking.

You can use "It's all my fault" in different kinds of relationships usually in close relationships.

Like a relationship you may have with your spouse, your husband or wife.

Or maybe relationships you have with your family or close friends.

If you want to express how you feel, and if you

want to truly apologize from the heart, this is a good way to say it.

It's all my fault.

Number eight is "I regret."

Regret means feeling sad and repentant and

kind of wishing you'd never ever done this mistake.

So you've done something so wrong that you just

regret all of the events that led to it and the event itself.

And you just kind of wish it never existed.

Now this we hear all the time in connection with romantic relationships.

It's one of those words that just comes with it.

I regret.

But it can also be a reflection, like things that you've done in your life that you regret.

That you wish you hadn't done.

Number nine..."Forgive me."

Now again, this is usually said after making a bigger mistake.

We hear this a lot in the context of family or the context of a romantic relationship

where there's potential for many, many mistakes.

Many serious mistakes of that.

Sometimes we can find it as "I hope you can forgive me," or "I beg you to forgive me."

Okay, so now that you know how to apologize for different situations

I want to practice what we've learned.

I'm going to give you a situation, and in the comments

I want you to respond with the appropriate apology.

Okay. Any one of the nine we discussed in this lesson.

Here is the situation.

You borrow your friends expensive new iPhone,

and you dropped it on the ground and it broke.

How would you respond? What would you tell your friend?

Use one of the apologies that we talked about in this lesson

to properly express how sorry you are for destroying your friend's new expensive phone.

And this is good practice for everyone reading.

How Stormy Daniels Can Help End The Yemen War | Yemen 12 - Duration: 7:28.

Hey there.

Last week US bombs rained down on a school bus in Yemen, killing at least 50 people,

including dozens of children.

The US forever war is filled with horror, but this one is worth focusing on, because

it's so, so pointless.

We're not fighting ISIS here, we are supporting the invasion of Yemen by Saudi Arabia and

the United Arab Emirates.

It's just US supported murder, pure and simple.

For no good reason.

The Saudis and Emiratis are reliant on the US for intelligence, aerial refueling, and

all the military technology they are using.

We could stop this immediately, possibly saving millions of lives.

The Horrors of Yemen are especially frustrating because they are so easy to fix.

Much of the US forever war is justified as an attempt to fight terrorists like Al Qaeda

and ISIS.

As an in-depth report from the Associated Press underlined last week, in Yemen, the

United States is directly allied with Al Qaeda.

As far as I can see, that makes this war illegal.

In Yemen, the United States is acting as a state sponsor of Al Qaeda, the organization

that brought down the twin towers on 9/11.

Though they wouldn't put it in those terms, a bipartisan group of US legislators has been

trying to end this illegal, horrific war.

This March I hopefully documented the efforts of three US Senators to end the war.

This effort failed.

To add to the frustration, it failed quite narrowly.

Because nobody paid attention.

Unlike many issues, it wasn't the US congress that failed here.

It was us.

The American people, and the people of the world, failed the US congress.

It's easy to blame the media.

The war in Yemen is barely covered, and when it is, the stories often fall for the "It's

all About Iran" lie that the US and Saudi governments are selling.

But I think there's more to it than that.

Our cable news channels are a business.

They cover what we want them to cover.

And unfortunately what we want them to cover today is Donald Trump.

It's pointless to hope for anything worthwhile from the two Trump channels.

They are now making more money than ever, and they're not going to risk that by covering

some boring war that makes the US look bad.

But I think people are right to expect more from MSNBC.

It sells itself as the "progressive" news channel.

Historically, back before the days of the Russia panic, Progressive used to mean anti-war.

But MSNBC is failing as well.

They almost never mention US participation in Yemen.

Last month Adam Johnson, a left-wing Journalist, found a clever way to make people aware of

this.

He used a Stripper.

He pointed out that as of July 2nd a full year had passed without MSNBC covering the

US participation in the war on Yemen.

Over the same period they had run 455 segments talking about the stripper Stormy Daniels.

Trump cheated on his wife with Daniels, and his botched attempt to pay her off has been

a big part of the media's Trump bonanza over the past year.

Johnson's insertion of Yemen into the main money-making story was a great success.

The story was picked up everywhere and was very embarrassing to MSNBC.

It worked.

5 days ago, prompted by that embarrassment, and horror at the school bus bombing, Chris

Hayes of MSNBC ran a powerful two minute segment on the US War on Yemen.

I've linked it here, and I suggest you watch it.

Seriously, press pause, click the link up here to my left and watch it.

I'll wait.

He's right.

Our government, our public dollars are paying to kill Yemeni children.

And it's our government, and our representatives that can stop it.

See what I mean?

Great stuff.

Emotional, moving, great production values.

Those two minutes should be worth more than the hours of amateurish YouTube videos I've

put together on Yemen over the past year.

Or at least they should be.

But they're not.

Because we are failing MSNBC just as badly as we failed those heroic senators back in

March.

MSNBC has posted this video on YouTube.

And it hasn't done much better than my videos on Yemen do.

Of the 26 videos that MSNBC posted on YouTube on August 9th, the Yemen video is the worst

performing, by a lot.

At a little over 10,000 views it underperformed a video about Wookies.

Four videos that covered the Trump Russia investigation all broke 100,000 views, and

the video that included the crucial key words Mueller, Russia and Julian Assange broke 300,000

views.

With results like this, how many more Yemen segments do you honestly expect MSNBC is going

to produce?

Congress is trying to do the right thing here.

Even the US media is occasionally trying to do the right thing with Yemen.

We just aren't paying attention.

But we can fix this.

As I said at the beginning, Yemen is the easiest problem in the world to fix.

All the pieces are in place.

More people just need to know about it.

Because to know the war in Yemen is to oppose it.

So please, take that great MSNBC clip on Yemen and share it.

Share it right now.

You don't have to be from the United States to make a difference here.

If MSNBC gets a spike of views on this clip, I assure you they will take notice.

Holybro Kakute F7 - CAM, VTX & SmartAudio - Duration: 4:23.

Hi everyone, I'm Mirko, and today we see how to connect the FPV camera

and the Video Transmitter in the Kakute F7 flight controller

For this tutorial we use the ATLATL V2 that comes in the stack and a Foxeer Micro Arrow

After making the connections we will be able to set the OSD to Betaflight

to display telemetry and adjust VTX settings directly from FPV goggles

Before making the connections, we check the voltage required to operate FPV Cam and the Video Transmitter.

As regards the FPV Cam, now almost all of them

works with a variable voltage that starts from 5 up to 36V.

As for the VTX this ATLATL V2, as well as most models on the market,

requires a power supply that can be between 7-28V,

Others, on the other hand, need a constant power supply of 5V

The pads dedicated to the FPV CAM are these 3 above,

connect the ground in pad G, the power supply in pad 5V and the signal cable in pad VI.

We connect the Transmitter Video in these side pads.

We connect the ground in the GND

power supply in pad B+

The signal cable in the VO

and the telemetry cable in pad T1, which corresponds to the TX of UART1

If your VTX can be powered only at 5V

Solder the power cable in the 5V pad together with the FPV CAM cable.

After soldering the VTX and CAM we can connect the Flight Controller to the PC.

to configure the OSD on Betaflight

Click on connect and go to PORTS

Since we have connected telemetry of the ATLATL V2 on the UART1 port,

here in peripherals we choose TBS SMARTAUDIO

We go into the Configuration and scroll down,

In "Other Features" we activate OSD.

So let us save.

Now OSD menu has appeared on the left where we can make all the configurations.

In the left column we have all the elements we can display on the screen,

We choose to display for example the RSSI and the battery voltage.

Once selected we can take them and place them where we prefer.

On the right is the OSD configuration,

where we can choose the video format, units of measure, timers, alarms and post-flight statistics.

After configuring everything we can save

Finally, I would like to remind you that you can access the Betaflight configuration directly from the OSD,

To activate, simply send the throttle to the center, the yaw to the left, and the pitch up.

Once inside the menu we can do all the configurations we usually do in front of the PC.

To configure the ATLATL V2, once you get to the main menu we go in features.

Now let's choose the VTX SA menu.

This is the Smart Audio menu where we can set the band, channel and power.

Once configured the VTX we save going to SET and confirming with YES

I usually don't reapply makeup throughout the day

so I might add some color to my lips throughout the day

and moisturize it

I lick my lips a lot,

so they get really dry easily

is a perfume from atelier cologne

I usually don't wear perfume much

because strong scents easily give me a headache

so I avoid it

but when I want to feel a bit special and smell extra nice

ill use this

its an orange scent, I've recommended this to a lot of people

so far they've all loved it (boys and girls)

my wallet is a small one

since I usually carry smaller bags

I got this in London back in 2014

I don't have anything really special inside

some good luck charms

from friends and family or ones I got from temples

thats it for my wallet, not a lot

this last item is really fun

its a giant Oreo ( gift with my Oreo purchase lol )

I use it as a box/organizer

to store headphones, chargers, etc

I think its quite clever

last I love gummies

so any new packaging or ones I haven't seen

I'll get it to try

Tony Adams has harshly criticised new manager Unai Emery following Arsenal's opening weekend Premier League defeat by Manchester City on Sunday

Emery took over from long-serving manager Arsene Wenger at the end of May and would have been hoping to get off to the perfect start against the reigning champions

But his first competitive game in charge of Arsenal ended in a 2-0 defeat at the Emirates as he tried to implement his different style of football on the team that has become accustomed to Wenger's attacking philosophy

And former Arsenal skipper Adams, who uniquely captained the side to four league titles in three different decades, has slammed Emery for his poor preparation during pre-season

Adams told talkSPORT: 'I don't know what he has been doing for the last five or six weeks

We're going to talk about that today.

Hi there, I'm Angela Brown, and this is Ask a House Cleaner.

This is a show where you get to ask a house cleaning question,

and I get to help you find an answer.

All right, onto today's show which is from a homeowner, and she's decluttering her life.

And she says, "But what about the free stuff?"

All right, there are rules and regulations that go along with accepting free stuff.

Now, the word "free", it's a four-letter word.

I want you to think of it as a curse word.

Okay?

Free.

Free is usually not a blessing, it's usually a curse, because when you start taking free

stuff, there are usually strings attached on the other end.

Now, the strings sometimes are used for marketing purposes, and sometimes it just declutters

your life and it gets out of control.

So, we're going to look at it from a couple of different angles.

When someone gives you something for free and it has a business attachment to that,

here's how that works.

There's a business, and they want you to sample their wares because they want you to buy from them.

I give you my product, you fall in love with my product, and then you want to buy more

from me, okay?

So it's a sample, it's a free trial.

They're giving you something with the strings attached that you're going to come back and

buy from them.

And so when that happens, you have to ask yourself this question.

Do I need the freebie?

And then is this a company I would ever buy from?

Is this a product I need, want, or would use?

And if the answers to those are no, don't even take the freebie because then it just

becomes clutter and junk in your house.

Or it becomes clutter and junk on your computer.

A lot of people give you a free eBook.

And it's on a topic you're not interested in.

But yet, when you download it, that takes up hardware space on your computer.

And we don't often consider that our computers are as cluttered as our lives.

Okay?

But a lot of people have gobs of extra emails.

They're storing freebies that they've downloaded that they've never wanted, they've never read,

they've never used, and it's on topics of none interest to them.

So that's junk, okay?

Freebies, for the most part, can be junk.

The next thing I want you to look at is somebody puts an ad on NextDoor or somebody puts an

ad in the neighborhood swap page, like maybe a Facebook page or something like that.

And they say, "Hey, I have this free mattress that I'm giving away."

And you're like, "Oh, it's free.

I think I'll go get it."

Do you need a mattress?

Because if you don't need a mattress and you go pick up the free mattress just because

it's free, then that's a disease, okay?

That's a disease you have called freeitis or something.

This means you just collect stuff that's free.

And then you're not going to use it.

There was one lady that collected, I'm not kidding, 30 cases of light bulbs from a company

that switched from incandescent lights to fluorescent lights, and they gave away all

the free light bulbs.

And this woman who just had a house with maybe, I don't know, 20 light bulbs in there, went

and collected 30 cases of incandescent light bulbs that she was then storing in her house

in the event that a light bulb ever burned out. Okay?

That is the disease of freeitis.

Okay?

That's not cool.

It's not cool for the fact that she didn't need that many.

Therefore, it became wasteful, and she ended up paying to store that stuff.

Okay, so the next thing we have to think about, what are the freebies that you're accepting?

When people give you stuff and you just take it because, like, "Oh, hey, this is really

awesome," there's a lot of stuff that you end up with that has all the wrong meanings.

Like, there's a buddy of mine that had a conference.

And at the conference, this buddy of mine gave away all these things.

Now, to me, they were useless things.

They were things I didn't want, I would never use, I'm not going to promote their products

because it doesn't fit in with my business.

And it's not to my audience or to my market.

And so all of the stuff that they gave me was nice, and I didn't want to throw it away

because I knew it was expensive and I knew they paid a lot of money for these ad specialty

items, and so I hung onto them longer than I should have.

But the answer to the question is if you don't need it, you don't want it, and you're not

going to use it, don't ever bring it home.

So you go to the conference, you're like, "Oh, that's so lovely.

Here, save this for your next conference."

Give it to someone else because if you know you're not going to use it and you know that

you're not going to use it to promote that person or that product, whatever it is that

they're selling, it doesn't help you in any way.

All it does is become more clutter that you have to store.

Here's the problem we have with clutter and freeitis.

Eventually, you have to start making choices.

There are things in my life that are valuable, and there are things that were free.

And so I can save and store and protect the things that are a value to me, but I have

all this other stuff that I'm storing as well.

And so you make a decision that, "Oh well, I need another shed in the back of my yard."

And so you pay to have this enormous shed built in the back of your yard to store the

free stuff so that you can keep the things that are of importance and value inside your home.

Now, you're paying to store all the stuff that you didn't really want in the first place.

You've got six mattresses that you collected on Next-door.

And every bed in your house already has a mattress.

You're never going to use them.

There are a lot of people that have storage units.

The storage units are a curse as well because while they store stuff, and the intention

is that while you're moving to a new city, before you get settled and before you have

all the deals worked out, somebody bought your house prematurely, you hurry and put

your stuff in a storage unit, and it holds your stuff until you get the bugs worked out.

It was never meant to be a second garage or a third garage or a fourth or fifth garage.

I was working with a woman who has five.

Five storage units.

She has two sheds in the back of her house, and she has a home she lives in and another

second home where she stores all of her stuff.

Her second home is not a vacation home.

It's a storage unit.

And it's got electricity and bathrooms and internet access, which is super expensive

to have all that stuff at another storage unit.

So the reality is why do you have all this stuff?

In the course of any given day, you can only use one set of dishes at a time, you can only

use one mug or one drink cup at a time, you can only wear one set of clothes at time,

and if you spread this out through the whole course of a week, that's like seven outfits.

Okay?

Seven outfits.

And we end up wearing the same clothes over and over again.

I don't know why ... well, I do.

I wear the same stuff every day but ... Suppose you have a favorite go-to outfit or you have

a favorite pair of shorts or favorite set of jeans or favorite T-shirts or whatever.

Yeah, you may have a whole closet full of clothes, but for the majority of us, we have

the same five or six outfits that we keep recycling through.

So we have a bunch of other stuff that maybe somebody gave us, maybe we acquired it inexpensively,

or we got it on sale, we bought it on a clearance rack or it was a discount.

Having free stuff is not necessarily a blessing.

It can often be a curse.

Especially when you are paying to store free stuff that you don't want, don't need, can't

use, and will never use.

So it's time to go through all of our closets, all of our toy boxes.

If the kids have outgrown toys that they no longer play with, we need to give that to

someone else, discard it, send it to the Goodwill, it doesn't matter where we send it.

Let's just get rid of it.

If there's free stuff that you collected and you have dozens of mugs in your cabinet that

you're never going to use, or you have lots of sets of dishes or you have too many pots

and pans, lots of times when you get married, you will inherit pots and pans from your aunts

and uncles and mom and grandma and stuff like that.

And then as the elder folks pass on, we inherit their stuff.

It came to us free and we end up with all this extra stuff.

So now is the time to just stop and say, "Hey, it's free.

But do I have freeitis?

Is this something that's consuming my life instead of something that's creating space

and harmony?"

And so it's free, yeah.

Should I take it?

Not always.

Mm-mm (negative).

No.

Learn to say no to free stuff.

All right, that's my two cents for today.

How Stormy Daniels Can Help End The Yemen War | Yemen 12 - Duration: 7:28.

Hey there.

Last week US bombs rained down on a school bus in Yemen, killing at least 50 people,

including dozens of children.

The US forever war is filled with horror, but this one is worth focusing on, because

it's so, so pointless.

We're not fighting ISIS here, we are supporting the invasion of Yemen by Saudi Arabia and

the United Arab Emirates.

It's just US supported murder, pure and simple.

For no good reason.

The Saudis and Emiratis are reliant on the US for intelligence, aerial refueling, and

all the military technology they are using.

We could stop this immediately, possibly saving millions of lives.

The Horrors of Yemen are especially frustrating because they are so easy to fix.

Much of the US forever war is justified as an attempt to fight terrorists like Al Qaeda

and ISIS.

As an in-depth report from the Associated Press underlined last week, in Yemen, the

United States is directly allied with Al Qaeda.

As far as I can see, that makes this war illegal.

In Yemen, the United States is acting as a state sponsor of Al Qaeda, the organization

that brought down the twin towers on 9/11.

Though they wouldn't put it in those terms, a bipartisan group of US legislators has been

trying to end this illegal, horrific war.

This March I hopefully documented the efforts of three US Senators to end the war.

This effort failed.

To add to the frustration, it failed quite narrowly.

Because nobody paid attention.

Unlike many issues, it wasn't the US congress that failed here.

It was us.

The American people, and the people of the world, failed the US congress.

It's easy to blame the media.

The war in Yemen is barely covered, and when it is, the stories often fall for the "It's

all About Iran" lie that the US and Saudi governments are selling.

But I think there's more to it than that.

Our cable news channels are a business.

They cover what we want them to cover.

And unfortunately what we want them to cover today is Donald Trump.

It's pointless to hope for anything worthwhile from the two Trump channels.

They are now making more money than ever, and they're not going to risk that by covering

some boring war that makes the US look bad.

But I think people are right to expect more from MSNBC.

It sells itself as the "progressive" news channel.

Historically, back before the days of the Russia panic, Progressive used to mean anti-war.

But MSNBC is failing as well.

They almost never mention US participation in Yemen.

Last month Adam Johnson, a left-wing Journalist, found a clever way to make people aware of

this.

He used a Stripper.

He pointed out that as of July 2nd a full year had passed without MSNBC covering the

US participation in the war on Yemen.

Over the same period they had run 455 segments talking about the stripper Stormy Daniels.

Trump cheated on his wife with Daniels, and his botched attempt to pay her off has been

a big part of the media's Trump bonanza over the past year.

Johnson's insertion of Yemen into the main money-making story was a great success.

The story was picked up everywhere and was very embarrassing to MSNBC.

It worked.

5 days ago, prompted by that embarrassment, and horror at the school bus bombing, Chris

Hayes of MSNBC ran a powerful two minute segment on the US War on Yemen.

I've linked it here, and I suggest you watch it.

Seriously, press pause, click the link up here to my left and watch it.

I'll wait.

He's right.

Our government, our public dollars are paying to kill Yemeni children.

And it's our government, and our representatives that can stop it.

See what I mean?

Great stuff.

Emotional, moving, great production values.

Those two minutes should be worth more than the hours of amateurish YouTube videos I've

put together on Yemen over the past year.

Or at least they should be.

But they're not.

Because we are failing MSNBC just as badly as we failed those heroic senators back in

March.

MSNBC has posted this video on YouTube.

And it hasn't done much better than my videos on Yemen do.

Of the 26 videos that MSNBC posted on YouTube on August 9th, the Yemen video is the worst

performing, by a lot.

At a little over 10,000 views it underperformed a video about Wookies.

Four videos that covered the Trump Russia investigation all broke 100,000 views, and

the video that included the crucial key words Mueller, Russia and Julian Assange broke 300,000

views.

With results like this, how many more Yemen segments do you honestly expect MSNBC is going

to produce?

Congress is trying to do the right thing here.

Even the US media is occasionally trying to do the right thing with Yemen.

We just aren't paying attention.

But we can fix this.

As I said at the beginning, Yemen is the easiest problem in the world to fix.

All the pieces are in place.

More people just need to know about it.

Because to know the war in Yemen is to oppose it.

So please, take that great MSNBC clip on Yemen and share it.

Share it right now.

You don't have to be from the United States to make a difference here.

If MSNBC gets a spike of views on this clip, I assure you they will take notice.

FabScraps Technique Tuesday Faux Stitching 2.0 fantasy stitches - Duration: 3:29.

Hi I'm Gerry from Gerry's Craft Room and welcome to my channel

In this video I'm going to show an easy faux stitching technique that you can use

on cards and other craft projects I've done another video on this technique

with some easy stitches and I will link to that

today I want to show you some new stitches you need 2 fineliners in different sizes

0,1 and 0,6 go nice together, 0,2 and 0,7 or 0,3 and 0,8 those are the ones I'm going to use

this is the first stitch I'm going to do

and I'm using the lines on my ruler the long and short ones

I make dots every half centimeter with the thick fineliner

and I do that in 3 rows next to each other

This faux stitching is a sort of more organized doodling

and very safe no needles and you get a really fun result required

then you swith pens and start connection 3 dots leave one open and three dots again

do this all the way down

the same on the other outside but start one

dot down and connect the three dots again

then you connect 2 dots in the middle next

to the top of the right row and bottom on the left row

of the first lines you made and do that all the way down

then connect the lateral lines if you turn the paper connect two dots on the top

another two dots on the bottom and three dots connecting top to bottom and repeat

now the pens I'm using are black but you can also use a coloured one for the faux thread

the next stitch is straight with zigzag it's only going one way

so maybe it's just zig or zag

and you make dots every half centimeter

again using the long lines on my ruler

then swiths pens and connect 3 dots and skipping

one and 3 dots again until the end

you can make all dots first too but this way it's easier to see

then move the ruler a bit up and put the long lines of the ruler in the middle off the open spaces

switch pens again and then make your dots

in the middle of the open spaces

then connect the dots to make V shapes

and finally some simple back and forward stitching just make three rows of dots

move the ruler a bit to get three lines and connect the rows of dots

When it comes to making a choice about their interests, women are ruthlessly efficient.

I know a dozen decent women who can turn down the advances of rich and powerful men but

they are the exception, not the rule.

And if the boss wants to marry her, she will leave the poor husband without blinking.

But always there is an excuse of, "he cheated", "he is abusive",and her army of "go-go-girl'

women will cheer into the jackpot.

So many men in Nairobi have lost their women to well-endowed(money-wise and otherwise).

I want to tell men here today that you can lose your woman at any time.

There are men who are turned on by married women.

And they have made it their duty to entice them as far as possible, tempting them with

every charm, goodie at their disposal.

I will urge the men, treat your woman right, so that if she has to leave, you should not

be the excuse for her leaving.

Let her leave for her own reasons.

What I am telling men, is that you can't own a woman or police her.

Millennial women hate that very idea.

You can only leave it to God to do the work for you.

In the likely event she cheats or leaves you, count your losses.

It doesn't matter how much you have spent on her.

My readers from 10 years ago know my position on educating your wife.

I have met very many men who circumstances never allowed them to go to school.

But they got a job, or started a business that became success.

They married a woman from a poor family who had passed her KCSE but never got a chance

to go to college.

Or they marry a college educated woman, and they decide to sponsor her for Master's.

Once done, the women start disrespecting the men and some leave the men altogether.

Some men always go for revenge.

Some resign to fate, shocked at the human capacity for disappointing.

Those in the millitary often kill their spouse and her lover before turning the gun on themselves.

I know of folks, men who go to States, struggle so much to get papers, come back home pick

their wife from the village, and go with her to States.

They do everything for her but five years down the line she is no longer the woman they

married.

With the freedom and the way women are empowered, the women start going out, sometimes even

with the male friends of the man, openly despising the men.

Some men can move on.

But some mostly kill or come back home, looking for books to study human nature.

I have never advocated for violence, no matter the reason.

I always tell my friends that human beings have an infinite ability to shock and disappoint.

I always take my time to tell them to learn to deal with the fact that their wives can

cheat, have cheated or will cheat on them in due course.

They should not beat themselves too hard about how life unravels.

If it was bound to happen, it will happen.

My lady Nikki Giovanni says that mistakes are bound to happen.

How we respond to them is what matters.

I know to be jilted is a bad thing.

To be jilted when you have an ego, is doubly dangerous.

But don't broadcast your problems.

Just gather a few trusted friends, drink together and share.

Then go to Church or Kneel down and ask God for strength.

I would love to break protocol and quote myself from a column I did for the Nairobian at the

beginning of the 2016.

"Sometimes, the worst things that happen to us often turn out to be the best thing

that could happen to us."

I live with that.

So can you.

Being left by a woman, or a man is not the worst thing that can happen to you.

Death is.

So live while you can.

There are always better people out there who deserve you.

If there aren't, there are still many good distractions to savour as you match towards

your death.
