What, sir? I've been calling you but you're just going.
I'm jogging, sir.
You're jogging? If you had told us, we too would've joined you.
Park your bike. Come, let's run.
Oh, now you're kidding!
Well, sir, you look so smart.
You have a nice physique. Why not try as a hero in a movie?
Will do.
Well, you should then. Talk to somebody,
like, there's Yogaraj Bhat, 'Duniya' Soori, Guruprasad, 'Villain' Prem...
Talk to someone and become a hero.
Let's do one thing. I'll become a hero.
You bring a producer.
Oh, you're good at joking!
If I knew a producer, why would I tell you? I would become a hero myself.
-You're like... -Please don't irritate me.
It's like stopping a runner and ask, "Are you running?"
Waking up a sleeping person and ask, "Are you sleeping?"
-Just leave. -Comedy? Sir, I'm serious...
Listen to me, sir. Hello!
Are we not your fans?
Why do you keep irritating me calling yourself as a 'fan'? Get lost!
What, sir? Are fans so worthless to you?
Understand one thing, sir.
You are nothing without us.
You exist only because of fans.
You exist only if we applaud. Understand that!
-Always remember that. -Yes, I will.
And one more thing, sir.
Today is the last day. I'm unfriending you from Facebook.
I will unfollow you from Twitter and Instagram.
I won't put any of your memes.
OK, don't do it.
If I asked any other hero for one selfie, they will give two.
If I ask one, you act like this showing so much attitude!
Then go ask them. Why are you irritating me?
Why do you condemn us?
You are nothing without fans, understand that.
You said you won't talk to me and unfriend me, right? Go ahead.
-Go do it. -Hey, buzz off, man!
-Who are you talking to? -Get lost, man!
Get lost, dude!
This is exactly my problem.
My joy, anger, and all feelings
are controlled by this Selfie.
A lot of things like this control us unknown to us.
The reason behind this is our mind and intelligence.
'YOU ARE THY MASTER'
One example.
Our brain is like a new smartphone.
Lesser the data and apps, the better the phone works.
If the apps increase, the phone slows down and hangs.
That's how our mind works too.
A phone has its own laws.
What about our intelligence?
Nityananda.
There's only a minimal connection between his mind and body.
His body doesn't listen to him.
He had a desire from childhood.
To study.
He loved school.
It's the school his elder brother went to. Vasavi Vidyanikethan.
He wanted to join there.
He was very sharp.
I converse with him just like I do with others.
-When he tries to say something... -What has he studied until now?
-Tell him what you have studied. -M.A.
In what?
ಸಮಾಜಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ.
ಸಮಾಜಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ? ಅದ್ಭುತ!
Starting from zero level-- From nursery to M.A.
He studied it completely in Kannada medium.
ತುಂಬಾ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು.
Having so much of a desire,
and unable to secure a seat in an English medium school,
when the mind is confused and disappointed,
someone had said that it is important for the child to blossom.
ಮಾಧ್ಯಮವೇ ಅರ್ಹತೆಯಲ್ಲ.
Nityananda's mother is like his arms and legs.
They're like two bodies and one soul.
How do you show you love to Mom?
Then you should hug her.
ಹೋಗಿ.
Come on.
For me?
Everyone's mind and body has a connection.
Like, this ball must pitch right here,
only this much salt for food,
sing at this tone, and so on.
For some people, that connection does not exist.
We have given them several terms.
We say they have no or lack intelligence,
we call them mentally disabled, and so on.
What according to you is the difference between us and them?
When you said this, I remembered an incident.
I had been to a friend's house one day.
It was their farmhouse.
His son was trying to shoot with a large double barrel gun.
He came up to me and asked me to try.
I took it, and far away...
It was twice as far as that tree you see there.
It was so and there was a tamarind tree.
I was not clearly able to see the tamarind bunch.
It was vaguely visible.
That boy told me to shoot it.
I held the gun and shot at the bunch and it shook around it.
He said something shook there.
He asked me to shoot again and I shot thrice.
I didn't know where the bullets went.
But I shot at it in order to hit it.
And then their servant brought that branch.
You would have been shocked if you saw that.
It was an Olympics gold medal shot!
It was one tamarind branch
and within that, one tamarind seed was shot.
Another seed was shot next to it.
And another has gone through it.
You see I'm not trained for that.
I'd never touched it but that was the first time.
Well, for me,
I was fixed in my mind that I had to hit only that and shot it.
What do you call this? Intelligence? Concentration?
Is it something that can be learnt?
It is something unknown.
They called it 'zero', actually.
The creator lies in zero.
The purest form is 'nothing'.
It contains everything and everything is created out of that.
I was inspired by that and had said in a movie,
"Who thinks he knows it all knows nothing."
"Who thinks he knows nothing knows everything."
'I know everything'...
A little ego that I am smart is within all of us.
It ruins the innocence of our life.
I realized this because of Sandhya,
Karthik, Ram, Mrityunjaya, and many more.
See for yourself who they are.
You are your master
Life is a school, dear sir
Keep looking for the connection Between your mind and body
Even if you are losing everyday
Yet keep looking for victory in defeat
Why tomorrow? What is today for?
Your journey starts today
You shall be a leader
Spread courage everywhere
Never step back for challenges
And keep leading in every step you take
ಸರ್, ನೀವು ಮನಃಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಜ್ಞರು, ಆಪ್ತಸಮಾಲೋಚಕರು.
We want to understand one thing.
From your experience, does living really require intelligence?
Is it required?
Intelligence means being able to earn your food lawfully,
fulfilling one's needs,
living without harming others...
To achieve this, it's enough even if one is below average in intelligence.
Many mentally challenged children visit us and they are able to live well.
And they live more happily than us, in fact.
-So, intelligence... -Intelligence has a few components.
One is the ability to think,
Second is reasoning.
Being able to assess logic.
Learning and memory.
Communicating with others.
The ability to learn different languages.
And the ability to take right decisions.
Being able to differentiate right from wrong.
Lawfulness and unlawfulness-- all of the above come under intelligence.
Otherwise, how will one survive in this world?
Like this, there are many components of intelligence.
Intelligence is not just scoring 100 out of 100.
Many toppers have turned out to be utter failures in life.
Everyone should have goals-- Short term goals, long term goals, and life goals.
Many people just wake up, eat food, go to work,
later some entertainment for the day and then they go to sleep.
That's how 60-70 years of their lives pass by.
In between, they make some money for their children and grandchildren.
95% of people are just living for material needs.
The other 5% are called mentalists associated with creativity,
or a sense of aesthetics,
or having understood the infinite,
being in pursuit of answers to several questions,
pondering about life and death, questioning our existence after death,
and having spiritual thinking.
Everyday, they all work just like us and earn.
In order to shape their lives, they struggle beyond their capability.
If they are taught something, they learn and sincerely work as told.
They are happy in their world.
The reason for it is their innocence.
As we grow older and gain intelligence,
what we lose gradually is our innocence.
How hurt our ego would be if anyone called us dumb!
None of us want to be called dumb in life.
So, we are trying to make use of everything to become smart.
What do you think, sir? Is intelligence necessary to be happy in life?
Like I told you, calming this is intelligence.
That is real intelligence and real happiness.
When you are in the present, you realize the happiness.
To put it simply, say you go home.
It's the same house you go to everyday.
You are not married, but for a married man, it's the same wife.
The same food and the same life.
That becomes repetitive and starts to kill the happiness within you.
But by being in present, if you observe, every time it starts to look new.
Each plant or leaf starts to look wonderful.
That's what's respect. It's respecting the whole world.
When I become nothing, I can see everything.
When I think I am here, I only see myself. That is hell.
Once, a Hyderabadi writer was narrating a story to me.
He was telling me about our past education system.
He narrated with respect to each timeline.
Tritayuga, Tretayuga, Dwaparayuga, and Kaliyuga.
The education system in Tritayuga was like this...
They would make a small child sit under a peepal tree.
All the adults would come and watch that child's face.
They would watch for an hour or so and go back to their business as usual. That was it.
That was the education. What does it mean?
The innocence and joy in that child was it.
But the mind's problem is like this.
Memories are created, things occupy our head.
They would erase all that by watching that child.
Wow! What a sight was that child!
Taking that happiness was life.
Meditation is life.
But along the way, competitive education came,
bringing the urge to learn, to just memorize things,
and the desire to be number one, the topper of all.
Only then you can earn more money.
Then you can buy a car, a bungalow,
and be on top above all is what we feed into our children.
Sometimes we are such fools, you know,
because that child would be born to achieve something great.
But we change its direction.
According to me, learning is actually unlearning.
ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುವುದು.
You have to keep constantly learning. No amount of learning is enough.
Learning is easy. It is difficult to forget what is learnt.
Right from childhood, we learn a lot of necessary and unwanted stuff.
Only when the unwanted rises does our intelligence start to hang.
If a phone or computer hangs, we restart it.
What if our life hangs?
What would you do?
Keep thinking.
I'll see you again with my last story.
Until then I'll keep running in your thoughts.
