A Chat with my Italian Grandma (with subtitles!) | doyouknowellie - Duration: 5:12.
Hi everyone! Today I'm here with my paternal grandma
on the channel
I'm making this video in Italian, which I NEVER do, because I can't really ask her to speak in English yet
Eh, I'm too old, I never learnt English
So...
I can only speak Italian and... Venetian!
I'm really useless at speaking Venetian
I'm a disappointment for all the Venetian people in this country
It's a precious language, you know, it's... it's pretty old.
It's really... really old
Yep
I'm here with my nan today because i already brought my dad, my sisters and I though I'd talk to her about how I once was and how I am now
I used to spend a lot of time at her house when I was little
Tell me a bit about how I used to be
A jewel (italian saying to say you're something precious)
But like... a real jewel
A jewel at maximum
A jewel at... maximum (?)
At maximum
What did I like to eat?
A lot of sweets and cakes
I remember "Cuor di Mela" (cookies)
The cookies
The coffee nan!
(fuck the coffee) And then you liked
Potatoes with tomato sauce and the meat with it
and tomato
Then you used to make rice with ragù
Yep, risotto with bolognese sauce
Gnocchi with ragù sauce
Eh yeah, you really liked those gnocchi
... The coffee
Yes and the coffee
You used to have chickens!
Oh dear, so many!
I remember them!
The chickens... they all flew in the sky
And now that I'm in London?
And now... now i'm here all alone
No nan, don't say that!
You know what? - What?
I watch a lot of TV!
I'm not sure that's a good thing!
What do you watch?
Political debates!
Oh my god so boring nan!
Until midnight, quarter past midnight!
Oh my god, all that time?!
Yes of course- oh wait no, I watched... a crime film the other day
Politicians, they all suck
And if my nan says so...
Then yes
They suck for real
Yes
What do you remember of me when i was little, what did I use to do?
Ooooh, you used to run around this table
Singing
You used to make up poems
Really?
Eh yes
Look at that!
Where are you going?
You were in the first year in primary school! - Yeah you can see thay
Look at this flower you gave me!
Look at how beautiful it is!
When you were 6 or 7
And now grandma, do you know what job I'm doing?
Oh god
Why
Film producer?
Was I wrong?
Well, i'm not a film producer
But you make films!
I work ON films
You work on films
But I don't produce them
But what about when you got a prize for one of your films?
it means you made it, right?
I wrote and directed it, but I didn't produce it
it's not my job
But you made it with your own brain!
yeah
So I'm right!
is that a videocamera?
yes
So not a photocamera
Yeah I'm not taking a lot if photos nan
But that's small, the ones I used are much bigger
Like the ones you see in movies
yes yes
And I work to make films
And commercials you see on TV
it's been a while since I drank coffee made on a moka
I'm talking in Dialect
I'll put subtitles
And how was it when you were young nan?
How was living?
Bad - Bad?
Why? - We lived in poverty
We were at War, you know?
Ah yes, when were you born? 1939?
1935
I remember we used to play cards
And you'd always let me win
Oh yes
And I used to get upset cause I knew you were letting me win
yes, that I did
See? Now you admit it but once you wouldn't!
Cause I wanted you to win!
But I thought I was good while you were just looking at cards and choosing weak ones!
You're not a kid anymore
Now I've got boobs
*she checks*
Yes they are there
So this was my video with my nan
who saw me growing up
And she still sees me when I come home cause I always visit her
If I'm alive
Fuck, nan!
It's easy to go, you know!
I was waiting for this, you say it EVERY time I come here
Everyone is gone, there isn't many people my age left!
yes but don't say that!
Wait is that recording?
yes!
It was beautiful because you were like "everyone's dead I'll die soon too!"
Every time I see her she tells me she's going to die!
Just to remind me!
Wave to the camera, nan
bye camera!

★Reaction Boys Opening★
준영:This is so cute. When did you buy this?
민국:One of the subscribers asked me to write this rabbit hat.
준영:oh really?
민국: anyway
민국:We listen carefully to the words of our subscribers.
창훈:Now the cat is looking at you as if it is pathetic.
민국:anyway
민국:We are going to react to the songs of the singers we loved in the past.
민국:I hate that this singer has become a singer in the past.
준영:Because you can not meet them again?
민국:It may be.
민국:A group that has become a legend now
민국:2ne1
민국:We had a lot of trouble choosing 2ne1 songs.
창훈:That's right. I've been thinking a lot.
민국:What is their best song?
민국: so..
준영:Can not count
민국: i don't care!
준영:wow..!
준영:Let's all remember!
창훈:It's a real memory.
민국: where are you now ??!
창훈: hello?!!
민국:It's an opening with a very old style.
창훈:I miss those days.
민국:When we were young, we listened to this song in school, right?
준영:Yeah.
민국:This dance used to be very popular in the old days.
민국:Sandara Park was very popular at that time.
준영:I love pineapple hair.
준영:Palm tree hair style
준영:What time is it now?
민국:5:30 a.m.
민국,준영:Wow, that's great!
준영:I love this part.
민국:DAEBAK..
민국:This song reminds me of the old days.
창훈:Right. I remember my childhood when I watched this video.
준영:It reminds me of the days when I was in school.
민국,창훈:Sandara is so cute.
창훈:Oh, Lee Jong Seok!
준영:Oh! Yeah.
민국:OH ,REALLY?
준영:Oh, I really didn't know.
준영:Oh now!
민국:Oh, really Lee Jong Suk!
준영:Wow, I really didn't know!
준영:Wow, he appeared in this music video.
창훈:that's amazing!
준영: good at singing.
민국:They are the best.
민국:CL is expressive
민국:This song is awesome.
창훈: SO CUTE ㅠㅠ
민국: OH,credit cookie
창훈: The last scene is so sad.
민국:Yeah...
민국:It's really good.
민국:I'm speechless.
민국:When I was young, I thought I could see 2NE1 forever.
준영:How many years ago was this?
창훈:A long time....
창훈:Of course, the songs are great, but it's really good to be able to listen to songs and remember the pThis song was sophisticated.ast
민국:right. It was good to remember those days.
준영: I...
준영:The moment I saw Sandara Park hairstyle, I remembered the days.
민국:First of all, the famous song "I DO NOT CARE" was made easy to dance and sing along.
준영:I don't feel like this song is old. (This song is refined.)
창훈:I remember this song topped the music program in Korea for a long 많이 들려주었다 time.
민국:There are so many sensation singers out these days, but 2NE1 was a really shocking group in our time.
민국:The most shocking thing was the appearance of CL.
준영:Yes, of course!
민국:CL was a character that did not exist in Korea.
민국:CL's father is a professor at Sogang University.
민국:Her father often traveled abroad to study academics.
민국:He gave CL a lot of good music from each country.
민국:Therefore, CL seems to have excellent musicality because it grows in contact with much more various music than ours.
창훈:Park Bom went to Berkeley College of Music.
민국: Oh really??
민국:Yeah. They're all excellent.
민국:Sandara Park was a huge star in the Philippines.
민국:Gong Min-ji is the granddaughter of Kong Ok-jin, an Intangible cultural property
민국:So she has the best DNA about dancing.
준영:I think we're going to move our necks all day today.
준영:The song is turning in the head.
준영:This song was written by Teddy, right?
창훈:Everything
민국:Perhaps Yg is very much influenced by Teddy's music.
준영:Teddy is a great composer.
민국:So I feel 2ne1 when I see Black Pink.
민국;I don't like black pink because I feel 2ne1 when I see it.
민국:I think it's a fan's heart.
민국:Because they are the same group, they have the same tendency and the same number of members.
준영:Oh really!
창훈: and Same composer.
민국:So my heart is a little...
창훈:It could be.
민국:So I hope all idol groups will be active for a long time.
민국:So I think Shinhwa or God is a great group.
민국:It's really hard to keep a team to the end.
창훈:yeah
준영:His ears drooped.
민국:Today, I listened to 2ne1's song, and it was a great time to my ears.
창훈:I could recall the memory.
민국:Next time, we will listen to Kpop or singers we liked.
민국:ok?
준영:Very good!
Let's meet in the next movie with us!

Communication Problems Between Developers And Non-Developers - Duration: 4:30.
Hey this is the daily overpass my name is Eric and I make apps. Now today I want
to talk about communication problems between developers and non developers.
All right so today I wanted to talk about something that happened earlier
today which was kind of funny and kind of annoying but it has to do with the
communications between developers and non developers. Oh and let me start off
by saying that I try to keep these videos a little bit more varied so every
so often I go outside to this big field outside the office so if you're ever
wondering why I'm always walking around in the woods like some sort of serial
killer it's not because I've just buried my latest victims and decided to talk
about apps afterwards it's just because it's outside right, Anyway so we had
this issue with the communication and I pride myself at being able to
communicate in technical and non-technical ways I mean we all do in
some respects so able to explain things to our clients in a way that they
understand a lot of times using metaphors or you're explaining you know
an example this this sort of works in this way imagine if it was this and that
right so I pride myself and a lot of times the clients really like to work
with us because of that reason they don't you know we don't they don't feel
like we're dumbing it down or we're looking down on them because they don't
speak the technical lingo but then also to be able to talk to the developers
about you know how this should work you know what types of technology we should
use the structure the variable you know that kind of stuff the typical coding
standards type of stuff so I pride myself on that but sometimes we get it
wrong so here's the issue so we have a project that we're just finishing up
it's a browser-based project and we're just doing the final stages that we have
an issues list of certain things that we have to check and we have so
basically we're testing it on all the different types of browsers so we
have some things that are done and not done and the process is that the
developers they do the work they tell the QA tester that it's done
she'll test it she'll set it from you know unresolved to resolved or set it
from yellow to green or to red if it fails the test and and that's how it
goes so they've come to her weeks ago and said the site is now responsive and
she looked at the spreadsheet and there was nothing on there so that's fine she
didn't change anything but the spreadsheet says it needs to be
mobile-friendly and it didn't say anything about responsive and it was
just this disconnect right so I was getting annoyed like why is this
still not resolved right because and because she didn't know that by
mobile-friendly we met responsive and vice versa and I mean they're not
synonyms really if you're a proper CSS person responsive means that the the
site just responds to the changes in the screen size but most the time we when we
talk about mobile-friendly websites we talk about them being responsive so
that was it so anyway with just a little thing that even the client was saying
why isn't this resolved yet and and so it was done it was like a
nice easy all we had to do is get the people in the right room she was so
apologetic about it saying I'm sorry I didn't know that and I thought well that
really her job to know that I mean I specifically don't want technical people
or developers being QA z' because I know from experience myself when I'm testing
something and developers should test it anyway but when I'm testing something as
a developer a lot of times I go straight for the I try to get really clever with
it I go straight for the sequel injection things or I'll type in funny
characters and I'll try to do all this stuff too or stress test the
app and I'll miss something completely blatantly obvious like a button has the
wrong text on it or it's not lined up or something like that so it's good to have
somebody from in my experience my QA tester I want them to be as close to
the end user as possible so I wasn't really upset that that was done but it
was just one of these kind of things where you learn about it and it's funny
just as a developers we have to be multilingual we have to think in two
different languages and I suppose doctors are the same doctors have their
technical language we have our technical language and anyway just something to
think about that I tell you guys about that today I thought it was kind of
funny even maybe a little annoying but still kind of funny anyway that is it
for today I'll talk to you guys again tomorrow

luxury purchases without being broke okay guys item number one I have talked
about these shoes about four times now yes we're still here we're still talking
about the Versace chain-reaction sneaker but there is a reason I haven't got it
yet and that is I saw this new print she is fabulous
she is so Versace that classic baroque print the white and the yellow I'm here
for the light colorway I'm here for the light color story it matches this will
go super well with jeans you know me you know I'm a jeans gal you now keep it
simple from the waist down the ankles down it's a different topic there we
keep it fire but from the waist down to the ankles you know it's pretty simple
okay means we can match lots of stuff you know me
I need these shoes don't I you don't need these shoes I know I need these
shoes I need the sodding shoes item number two on the
topic of shoes so these are very guys I think I think it gonna be a little bit
shook by this discovery these are surprising because these are
not something that I would usually like but I saw them in a teal I love a good
teal my only issue is is this little heel it is neither here nor there I mean
the flats are on heels and when I'm heels and heels we don't do no kitten
heel some small little black heel around here so I'm still deciding whether or
not I'm this kind of person imagine this think with me high-waisted
blue denim jeans rolled up at the ankle these on my feet let me go with like let
me go with a white oversized semi sheer t-shirt I'll be there oh and then
we hit it with some fire shades but are we there I feel like this is like
Riviera nice San Tropez south of France loving life I feel like this is that
vibe and that mood let me know I'm undecided Item number three okay I am
trying to rein myself in 2018 was the year of the bag for me so I'm trying
trying to scale back but I have seen this Louis Vuitton I think they're calling it
a little duffel bag and it is so cute have you seen this have you seen its
little circular what is this cylindrical body it's a little cylindrical body I
tried it on the little closure is like a two little flaps and it and it's got
like a little a little hardware fastened at the top there it's got a tiny you
know me I'm dying for a top handle and a crossbody moment if I'm monogram till
I mother effing die I think I so this would be perfect for me anyway it's on my wish
list it's on my wish list I can't take it off its there now I am just moving on to
this like phase of just like elevated chic I'm still you know me I'm still a
casual I still here in my denim I am loving it but imagine this Jacquemus
white shirt imagine her with wait for it denim shorts in the
summer Oh make even with maybe even with those
little Chanel shoes that I'm undecided about or even guys we could hit it with
the Versace chain reactions I love this shirt don't you love this shirt I love
this shirt I think it's crisp I think it's clean she looks tailored
maybe I'm just here for this Riviera chic I don't know but I am feeling this
shirt and I'm feeling her deep in my veins my last item okay which isn't it's
not like the biggest item in the book but I'm like maybe I should you know be
grown-up and buy something like this for practicality reasons and that is this
Gucci wool scarf if we cast our minds back to when I did my come shop with me
video in heathrow I saw the like Navy and orange version this looks like an
indigo an orange version of this anyway I've been thinking about it ever since I
saw this gray and pink colorway and I'm still undecided as to whether I'm trying
to make a statement with my scarf or whether I'm just trying to make like a
subtle Gucci mood with it not sure still undecided on the colorway but I think I
need it's huge it's thick it's warm the weather here in England is the worst so
it'll be a very much used what is all your luxury wishlist let me know in the
comments I just need to know if I need to steal any ideas from you I need to
know roughly how much all these things are going to cost me so that I can
decide which organ that I'm going to sell in order to pay for all of this but

Put you in a better mood.
Ha, ha, ha, yeah, dude. Check out these pants.

It's been there for a while.
Check him out. He's flexing.
Hey, hey. Hey, girls. How you doing?
Dude, you're from Boston? Dude, how's Kelly doing?
Yeah, I'm from fucking Jersey.
Every time I eat these brownies I just feel super, super horny.
I don't like Jack Hills, but I love watching this show.
You're my favorite. You just tell it like it is
and that time that you wanted to get in a fight with
[Nunez 00:01:02], oh, that was a great one.
No, that was Count [dumbar 00:01:06].
No, that was you. I remember. Ha, ha, ha, ha.
Hey, can you tell your dude to shut up. I'm trying to work.
Put your arm out. Left right, left right.
Real fruit, real shit. Amazing.
Yeah man, I'm just fucking, I can't deal with drama.
Come on, dude. What the fuck?
Which is kind of where country music is right now.
Fuck. So, then fucking, fucking,

I fucking hate storage units.
Fucking, fucking, fucking, fucking, like holy fuck, man.
Fucking, fucking, fuck it. Are you fucking kidding me?

I don't give a fuck. Fuck yeah. Fuck yeah. Fucking amazing.
Fucking, fucking, fucking, fucking, fucking,
like who the fuck is this?
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Ha, ha, ha.
I feel like I've tamed down quite a bit
in my old age, though.
Yo, yo, yo, give me some of that bactin, baby.
Give me some of that A and D. What you got?
Come back tomorrow. Come back tomorrow.
You guys want to meet my uncle. Oh, he's right there.
Fucking, fucking, fucking. Ah, ah. Come on now.
I'm telling you, that's my fucking uncle.
Everybody was like what the fuck, dude?
What the fuck? Eight o'clock. Eight.
Eight o'clock. Fuck you. Give me a dollar.
Why don't you love me enough to marry me.
No, came all the way from Saint Louis.
How's about that place?
The best fucking smoothie joint in town.
It's not far if you drive fast.
[inaudible 00:02:45] cleans badass.
I love getting tattooed by him.
The worst part is him just screaming in your ear.
Dude, fucking Jimmy and Joey, bro.
Fucking, this is the neighborhood
for that kind of business. Ha, ha, ha, ha.
Mom, come on. Keep it down. I'm trying to work.
From now on, everybody gets motherfucking rice.
Fuck all this extra meat shit.
Bullshit. Bullshit. Helicopter, helicopter, helicopter.
Back in the day, you had fucking six bolts
and you bolted on and you got fucking
instantly add 70 horsepower.
So, Chrysler, they basically built a better block,
bigger piston, better crank, better rods,
which created the 331 fucking Hemi.
Back in 1951.
Hello, hello.
Where is the fucking black and orange taffies.
I can't hear you. You're so full of shit.
I want my popcorn bowls.
All right, man. I think that's it.
All right.

Firefly - Feng Timo cover (with Lyrics/Subtitles) - Duration: 2:59.
When I said go I never meant away
You ought to know
The freaky games we play
Could you forgive
And learn how to forget
Hear me as I'm calling out your name
Firefly come back to me
Make the night as bright as day
I'll be looking out for you
Tell me that your lonely too
Firefly come lead me on
Follow you into the sun
That's the way it ought to be
Firefly come back to me
You and me
We shared a mystery
We were so close
Like honey to the bee
And if you tell me how to make you understand
I'm minor in a major kinda way
Firefly come back to me
Make the night as bright as day
I'll be looking out for you
Tell me that your lonely too
Firefly come lead me on
Follow you into the sun
That's the way it ought to be
Firefly come back to me
Fly firefly through the sky
Come and play with my desire
I can't wait another night
Make the night as bright as day
I'll be looking out for you
Tell me that your lonely too
Firefly come lead me on
Follow you into the sun
That's the way it ought to be
Firefly come back
Firefly come back to me
Make the night as bright as day
I'll be looking out for you
Tell me that your lonely too
Firefly come lead me on
Follow you into the sun
That's the way it ought to be
Firefly come back to me

The Pain That Started Pathways: The Pain Relief App - Duration: 4:11.
Repetitive strain injury, I'd heard about it, but little did I know that it would soon
take over and change my life forever.
It's 2010, and just like any other day, I'm hard at work typing away at the computer,
when all of sudden I feel pain running up from my right hand and throughout my forearm.
I think, "Hey, that's strange.
Maybe I overdid it at the gym."
But in reality, this was the first sign of RSI, and the pain would soon intensify.
I lasted a few more weeks, powering through my work and through the pain, knowing that
I had deadlines to meet and I couldn't afford to take a break.
That's until the pain spread to both my arms, and got so bad that each keystroke caused
a ripple of pain.
And it wasn't just work that I was missing out on, I couldn't drive, type a message,
or even flick the page on a book.
I believed that any fine use of the muscles and nerves in my hands and arms would cause
pain, and that's exactly what happened.
Then, followed years of desperate treatment.
I tried resting for months, I spent a lot of time and money on massage, acupuncture,
diet changes, stretching, yoga, decreasing and increasing sports activity, and finally,
two invasive surgeries as a highly credential doctor believed it would solve the issue.
Once I recovered from the trauma of surgery, to my horror, the pain returned in the exact
same way and with the same intensity as before surgery.
I felt like I had exhausted all options.
I reluctantly went to see what I thought would be the last doctor I'd visit.
After a couple of examinations, the doctor explained that there was nothing wrong with
my arms, mechanically they were fine.
But, due to years of desperate treatment and anxiety, my pain system had become overactive
and oversensitive.
My brain was now in the habit of creating pain whenever I feared and expected it to
come on.
She explained how the brain can sometimes create pain, with little to no stimuli, like
in the case of phantom limb pain where someone will feel 100% real pain in a limb that isn't
there.
I went home and digested all the pain sites that I could, knowing that if there's a chance
I could influence the pain, I'd do it.
Within two months I was 100% pain free.
Life changing, and still something that amazes me to this day.
I now realize how many people suffer from chronic pain that will not find permanent
relief unless they perform brain retraining techniques.
This is the case for all types of pain that outlasts the normal healing period, which
for almost every major injury is a maximum of six months, from back pain, to shoulder
and neck pain, and other joint pain.
It's also the case for conditions such as migraines and Fibromyalgia, when there's pain
but no injury.
Brain retraining techniques could offer massive pain relief, like it did with me.
All the techniques that desensitize your pain system and response to pain, could take you
from experiencing a horrible pain day, to being able to continue doing the things you
love.
The brain retraining techniques don't make you immune to chronic pain.
Every so often I'll have a minor flare up, and feel pain in my arms, or it might migrate
to other areas that I've injured in the past.
But, I can always link this back to stress and anxiety, and once I address that, I'm
back to normal within minutes.
Research shows that some people are more prone to having stress and anxiety manifest as real
physical pain, I'm one of those people.
Chronic pain is the biggest global health burden.
There are billions of people around the world living with pain when they don't need to.
That needs to change, and I created Pathways, a chronic pain therapy app alongside Pain
Patients, and with the influence of some of the most respected pain scientists in the
world.
The Pathways app, uses scientifically proven techniques to reduce, or in some cases, eliminate
chronic pain.
If you are someone you know suffers from chronic pain, download the Pathways app for free.
Truly understanding pain science and practicing our techniques, could change your life.

Three Reasons You Are Lying To Your Therapist - Duration: 4:38.
hey everyone today we're going to talk about three reasons you might be being
dishonest with your therapist
alright guys today we're gonna talk about three reasons you might be lying
to your therapist so have you ever left out seemingly little things that might
make a big difference or big things that might make a big difference if so this
one might be just for you so number one it might be scary it's personal right it
can be awkward to share intimate details with your therapist especially if you
haven't known him long so embrace the safety net of your therapy session
therapy sessions are confidential so make sure you're talking to your
therapist about this what does confidential mean who gets to
know in most therapy sessions and with most therapists there confidentiality
policy will say if you're an adult the only way that things are not
confidential is if your harm to yourself or others meaning you're actively
suicidal or homicidal so know that some of those details that you're worried
about sharing probably aren't gonna go anywhere but inside that office if you
only share half the information you only get asked to help number 2 afraid of
judgment so sometimes we give like a little tiny portion of the story to feel
the reaction and then we give a little bit more to feel the reaction and a
little bit more to feel the reaction and as soon as we feel the reaction is too
much we stop and we don't tell the whole story probably not gonna happen in
therapy guys therapists are highly trained to not overreact or not react in
certain situations and also we're highly trained in accepting that people get to
choose the lifestyles they live we meet them where they're at and we encourage
them and whatever it is that they want my goals are not the same as somebody
else's goals and if we line a hundred people up in this room their goals
wouldn't be the same either we all have different goals and that's good and
that's a pain it should be that way because we're all different than each
other so it's beautiful so if you're afraid of the judgment I would ask you
to ask yourself if you're worried about your therapists judgment because you
felt like they might have judged you before are you afraid of their judgment
because other people judged you about this situation before are you afraid of
the judgment because of remember judged you a certain way when
you said this before or have you told nobody this and you have kind of
conjuring up in your mind what this judgment light might look like so I
encourage you and I urge you to pull out all the courage you have and try this
relationship differently then past relationships are what your mind told
you because therapy is a totally different relationship than any other
one that we've had it's a safe environment that you've probably never
felt before safe from judgment to the last is your
not ready to make changes right so just because you have signed up to go to
therapy and you've met with your therapist doesn't mean you're ready for
change at least in the category that your you're concerned about or that
you're being dishonest with your therapist about so there's lots of
people that come into therapy and it is a huge first step and it's just that a
first step so there's lots of things to work on in therapy but if we're not
ready to make a change it's just not gonna happen
so if I have something kind of brewing inside of me that I'm scared to say or
I'm worried about the judgement of I might just not be ready to make that
piece of change quite yet that doesn't mean we can't work on change all over
here but that piece of it you might not be ready for yet and that's okay we're
not all ready to make all the changes all the time right so sometimes people
just aren't ready to make changes and so that's fine
yet they're not ready to make changes so maybe in the future you'll be ready to
make a change on that and and if not just tabletop it for right now and do
some really deep digging unto what it is that's kind of causing you to not bring
up the topic or to be quiet about the topic or to be dishonest when your
therapist is asking you about a topic so again guys if you like these videos like
and subscribe down below I will continue making them I'm trying to make them and
produce them every Wednesday so please be on the lookout for it if you have any
topics that you want to hear about please comment below and I will be sure
to get to them thanks guys
you

My 2018 Rewind. 🎬 - Duration: 14:41.
Just going for a bit of a walk i'm just down here Bell's Rapids. Being summer, not alot of water. There is
actually a perfectly good path to walk to get upstream and there's a bridge and
everything but no I'm just walking up the river .Argh look theres a thong from the last bloke that walked
through here. I'm guessing something terrible must have happened to him.
It's 31º today say good day for a swim just not sure about the
quality of the water. Ducks are in it. Don't come to Western Australia to go
bushwalking and wear thongs because we do have some of the world's most
deadliest snakes. It's really hot it's January and it kind of smells very
bushfirey. Now I'm really not equipped so I might go get some water some sun cream my
phone's in the car so really umm yeah I'm an idiot I'm
gonna head back to the car. You know that moment that you're unsure of where
you're going and then you're sure of where you're going and then you're
unsure of where you're going again? Sort of where I'm at now. I'm sure I know where
I'm going. So I've just worked out the place that I thought I was that I meant to be... This isn't it.
But I made it to the bridge.
There we have it. This is the mighty Bell's Rapids which in January becomes
merely a token gesture of nature's way to provide fresh water to humans.
Now I'm well aware that I'm well past the due date for a New Year's Eve video
however, with it being the middle of January nonetheless here's a quick look
back at twenty eighteen. Twenty eighteen was ... EPIC!
A bit of an incident this morning at the petrol station filling the car up. I
drove into the bollard as I was pulling out to sneak past a truck that was
parked in front of me. I've done a fair bit of panel damage. Fortunately it's still
drivable so, where still going.
So you know a fourby tracks pretty bad when they put up a "danger do not enter"
tape on it
What a year 2018 was, 2019... I cannot wait. I'll see you again very soon on Epic
Drives Western Australia, catch ya!
