I'm Too Old for This Sh*t Book Club ANNOUNCEMENT! - Duration: 4:20.

Sometimes do you feel like you're just too f*cking old to be in this platform? Or do you

tend to feel out of place in this predominantly young platform that

focuses on young adult literature? Or are you just really f*cking old? Well, now I've

got the book club for you! So if you don't follow me on Twitter then you

would not have seen this announcement we have officially launched the Too Old for

This Shit Book Club. We are already midway through our

January read which is Beneath the Scarlet Sky by Mark Sullivan. I am doing

this alongside Sam from Sam's Nonsense so you should be sure to check out her

channel. And to be honest, I think I bit off a little bit more than I could chew

which is adulting at its finest! I highly suggest you go to the Twitter and

follow us there because that is where most of the updates will be coming from

and it will give you a little bit more information of what this club will

entail. Briefly, I will tell you a little bit about it.

I don't have my life

together, clearly, because this video is a hot mess!

And upon editing, I realized I didn't even talk about, like, why, like, why am i

doing this? Why are me and Sam doing this? There were some discussions on Twitter

about how as almost 30 year olds with, you know, some life behind us we have

just a different perspective on how we approach booktube and how we deal with

things and how we just sometimes we just feel, maybe we don't fit in to the

booktube norm because, you know, booktube is predominantly, you know, early to mid

20s (female) with a lot of emphasis on young adult literature. Mainly contemporary and

fantasy. And sometimes, like I said, we just don't feel like we fit in and we

just wanted to have a place where it felt, like, just our own. We were able to

kind of talk about those adult things that maybe the younger audiences may not, you know?

I don't know, relate to? The plan was to read one book every single month

but as I mentioned before I think that I just bit off a little bit more than I

could chew. Maybe later on in the year when I get more accustomed to a schedule

I will change it back to once a month but I have decided to make the executive

decision ??? to actually change it to every other month. What's

genres shall we be reading? Honestly all of them question mark?? It

really depends on what you guys suggest which brings me to my next point "how do

we determine what books we will be reading for that month?" or bi-month-----ly? Hmm

We will make a post on the Twitter account where the club members will make

suggestions and from those suggestions the hosts and I will actually choose

three or four options. From those three or four options we will then put a poll

back up to the group and then the group will decide out of those options which

one we will read. We currently have a poll going for what was going to be

February but will now be March's pick. I'm really unprepared for this video, guys@

Sorry, but I feel like my life and myself is a hot mess right now!

The options for the March book club pick is Children a Blood and Bone by Tomi

Adeyemi. Emipire of Sand by I can't remember the author's name. The third option ,I

think the title of the book is At The Big End, no. The Ship at the End of the

Universe? I've got my shit together, clearly! Be sure to go to Twitter to vote

on that option Also, there is a Goodreads group down below where we will be

discussing throughout the month when we are reading our book pick. There also will

be live discussions. We're going to have live shows but honestly with our

schedules I'm not really sure if that's going to work out very well. There

really sure, I'm just not sure what I'm doing! As I mentioned I don't know what

I'm doing! So if you're a part of any book club and you have any suggestions,

Notwithstanding the cultural sensitivities attached to it, I think it

is one of Australia's pre-eminent tourist attractions. I think that there is enough

respect paid and people can make a determination whether they want to

observe the cultural sensitivities or they want to take the risks themselves

that's attached to climbing Uluru. And I just think we're cutting off our

nose to spite our face. Why is it such a problem to not be able to climb? Well I

think it's just one of the opportunities that makes it a really special event for

people if they choose to do it. Now I understand the board's made a decision

and they can justify that decision on health and safety grounds, on cultural

grounds and on the environmental grounds. But equally there's another school of

thought that there are still tens of thousands of people who enjoy climbing

Uluru, want it continue to do it. The environmental issues that are

attached to some of these people doing this can be mitigated in other ways. And

that having had people climb it for such a long time, the cultural sensitivities

can also be respected and accommodated. 37 people have died trying to scale the

rock. Is it not reasonable that it is closed given those serious risks? Well

there are serious risks attached to almost everything that we do in our

day-to-day lives more people drown at the beaches and we're not proposing to

close beaches because people pass away. We're adults. People should be able to

determine for themselves the risks that they want to be able to take. We don't

need the nanny state, what we need is opportunities, economic opportunities for

Australia to be the greatest possible place it can be. The ultimate

opportunity though, is that people should have a freedom to choose whether they

want to participate in these sorts of pastimes or not.

How The Far From Home Trailer Proves A Big Avengers 4 Theory - Duration: 4:19.

As you probably already noticed, the Far From Home trailer doesn't even slightly acknowledge

the titanic events of Avengers: Infinity War, in which half the population of the universe

succumbed to sudden death, at least temporarily.

It also seems to sidestep the events of that movie's forthcoming follow-up, Avengers: Endgame,

which is set to hit theaters only a couple of months before the release of Far From Home.

To the casual moviegoer, it's as though the fight against Thanos didn't even happen.

But for dedicated fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's pretty weird to see Peter Parker

just suddenly being alive again.

"Peter, you have to tell me what's going on."

Instead of walking around looking shell-shocked and traumatized, the Far From Home trailer

seems to show the people of the MCU being back to business as usual.

Happy Hogan is there, Aunt May's there, Nick Fury's there, and Peter's biggest concern

seems to be his crush on MJ.

Instead of going through an existential crisis after everything he's seen, Peter is back

to being his plucky self, and has no problem suiting up to go on an adventure with Nick

Fury.

Both of them seem to have recovered from their deaths incredibly well.

What's going on?

"Why all the secrecy?

Why not just tell us?"

"Any attempt on the director's life had to look successful."

"Can't kill you if you're already dead."

The tonal whiplash has led some viewers to craft theories about why Spider-Man's corner

of the universe is so happy-go-lucky, just months after everyone on Earth went through

the most tragic events ever.

This doesn't feel like a world that's been through the apocalypse, so what if it isn't?

What if the world of Far From Home never experienced Thanos' Decimation, because the Avengers managed

to go back in time and stop it from ever happening?

We all know in our hearts that the heroes who died from Thanos' snap will be coming

back to life one way or another, if only because the world demands a sequel to Black Panther.

The default assumption is that the Avengers will beat Thanos, revive the trillions of

dead people, and then proceed from there.

In that potential sequence of events, everyone would still have knowledge of the Decimation

happening.

People would be back to life, but the pain of loss would linger.

So far at least, that does not seem to be what's happening in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

There's another theory out there: Far From Home might secretly be a prequel to Infinity

War, taking place after Homecoming but before Peter ditched his school bus and saved Iron

Man from getting beaten up.

But according to the filmmakers, this doesn't seem to be the case.

According to Amy Pascal, one of the producers of Far From Home, the Spider-Man sequel will,

quote, "start a few minutes after Avengers 4 wraps as a story."

And it's not just her saying that.

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has said the same thing, promising audiences that Far From

Home is indeed set after Infinity War and Endgame.

According to the MCU producer, Peter will return to a, quote, "normal life" in Far From

Home.

Of course, it's always possible that the producers are straight-up lying.

"Alright then, keep your secrets."

"Hnuhmm?"

If it's true that Far From Home takes place after the events of Endgame, then we're left

with one big question.

How will the story wrap up in a way that fits with the lighthearted tone of Far From Home?

Reversing the Decimation by bringing people back to life in Endgame would presumably leave

the people of Earth feeling pretty shaken up at the start of the Spider-Man sequel.

Even if Thanos' victims didn't remember being dead, the loved ones they left behind certainly

would.

If that were the case, then forget about going to Europe, Aunt May probably wouldn't let

Peter leave the house.

"And if you die, I feel like that's on me.

I don't need that on my conscience."

"Not a fan of that Tony Stark."

All this adds up as evidence for the theory that the Avengers will spend Endgame altering

the timeline to ensure that Thanos never accomplishes his genocidal goal.

Some believe that the Far From Home trailer all-but-confirms this theory, which is going

back to basics in a way that seems impossible in a world after the Snap.

There's already a lot of evidence that Endgame's plot will heavily involve time travel.

Looking over all the information that we have at this point, a timeline reset seems more

plausible than ever.

Of course, all of this could change.

Maybe we're being played by the marketing, and Marvel has a huge surprise in store for

us that no one will see coming..

Welcome back everyone, have I ever been in any of your dreams?

I know thats a weird question to ask but todays video is about dreams and nightmares so yeah,

just thought Id ask.

I mean, statistically - one of you has - Id love to hear it - but thats not quite why

were here today - in this video were gonna take a look at some of the scary things you

dream and figure out what they mean - you wont wanna miss out on these lessons, they

could change your whole life.

Starting off at number 10 we have Death.

I think its universally agreed that death isnt a nice thing to have in your dreams - except

if its the death of a sworn enemy - and even then you might want to talk to someone.

When it comes to death dreams though, there are many different types and psychologists

treat them differently.

New parents might often have nightmares of the death of their children - a sign of their

anxiety of being a new parent.

The death of a partner might be someone unconsciously admitting to themselves that they are lacking

in a certain quality that their partner possessed.

Of course, the one I imagine you all want to hear is the death of yourself - thats a

scary one.

A lot of people say that this dream means youre going to die in real life but ive heard

other opinions.

Some say that this could mean you feel like you are always making sacrifices and no one

notices, or that its time to put yourself first.

In this way, you can consider it a wake up call … even though its an unpleasant dream

to have …

Moving on to number 9 we have Being Naked.

Be honest, for a lot of people - being exposed in front of strangers is a pretty scary thought

and sometimes it bleeds into peoples dreams - they find themselves suddenly naked infront

of 1 or many other people - at best its incredibly embarrassing - at worst its terrifying.

Some say that nudity symbolizes being caught off guard.

Being naked in a public place may suggest that you are unprepared for an upcoming task.

This makes sense if you think about it because clothes are a literal barrier between us and

the outside world.

In our dreams - the loss of clothing represents our protection from the outside world being

stripped away - we feel mentally exposed and so our mind presents that as us being physically

exposed.

Wow, I think I kinda broke that one down entirely by myself.

Maybe Im in the wrong job …

Moving on to number 8 we have Falling.

I hate this one.

Youre fast asleep, youre having a nice dream and suddenly - youre brain decides to throw

you off a building or a cliff face.

I dunno about you guys but normally, by this point, I wake up - I always wake up.

If you keep sleeping though - firstly - good job - but secondly - what does it all mean?

Well, according to experts, it may be your subconscious way of telling you that things

are getting out of control in your life - this could be relate to fear of not achieving success

or just simply fear of failure - specifically a fear that your riskier choice in life may

result in your downfall.

If you keep falling in your dreams every single night - this is probably your subconscious

telling you to address your fear of failure and the associated anxiety.

Next up at the number 7 spot we have Being Chased.

You ever had one of those nightmares?

Youre running from something - a person, a monster, a family member thats become possessed,

whatever, and they wont stop chasing you.

You know if you stop for even a second theyll find you.

Eventually, you manage to find a hiding place or you think youve lost them - and theyre

suddenly behind you - its not fun - but what does it mean on a deeper level?

Well, some say that being chased could be a sign that youre being overstretched at work

or school or perhaps feeling pressures in your relationship.

It could also mean that you are having trouble dealing with reality or being in denial about

something.

Don't worry - you can deal with it though - it cant be scarier than being chased by

a monster.

Moving on to number 6 we have Teeth.

Have you ever had a scary teeth related nigthmare?

The most common one by far - is, of course - teeth falling out.

There are many different theories about this one.

For Sigmund Freud, teeth falling out was a sign of sexual repression - of course - classic

Freud.

Other psychologists take a different approach and say that teeth falling out could be a

sign of insecurity, especially about a personal loss.

It makes sense really - your teeth are such a solid part of you - theyre also what we

see when people smile - losing teeth in a dream is like youre losing some other solid

part of you and youre scared of being exposed.

It could also mean youre going through life changes, growing pains or youre worrying about

getting older.

Yeah, turns out teeth falling out could mean a lot of different things …

Moving on to number 5 we have Fire.

Personally, I don't think Ive ever had a dream with fire in - I don't know why - but other

people have reported nightmares where everything around them is burning in an inferno.

What does that mean?

Well, one interpretation is that fire is a symbol of strong feelings or passion.

If you dream of your childhood home being on fire then that could be a symbol of emotional

chaos you may be currently experiencing because of childhood events.

There is some good news though, some people say that fire in dreams is actually a cleansing

process.

It might seem scary when youre in the dream but the fire may represent getting rid of

the old and entering a new phase in your life - and that sounds quite nice.

Next up at number 4 we have Killing Someone.

This isnt a very common dream but a lot of people do have dreams where they physically

hurt someone.

They may not be a violent person in real life and they may not even have a problem with

the victim in real life - but for some reason they find themselves being violent or even

killing someone in their dream.

If yovue had this happen to you then youll be pleased to know this does not make you

a killer in the making.

Its much more likely that you feel like something in your life is ending or should go, perhaps

theres a dramatic change happening in your life, maybe you feel hostility towards another

person or you could even feel guilt … or … or … maybe you really do wanna kill

someone.

You should probably see someone about that if thats the case.

Next up at number 3 we have School Drama.

For those of you still at school - you may not understand this - for everyone else - this

is one of the scariest dreams out there.

Ive not been in school for quite a while now but still, every once in a while - I have

a nightmare where Im back at school.

Usually, this involves me realizing I have an important exam in a few hours and Im late

for it or havent done any work - actually I have a few memories like that … the point

is, adults report having dreams like this for decades after they leave school.

Why is this?

Well some says its linked to your job situation.

Our brains form deep links with school from a young age - it can become the basis for

all work related anxiety later in life.

So, if youre out of school and keep having nightmares about scary teachers or exams - maybe

have a think about your job and career choices …

Moving on to number 2 we have Need The Toilet.

OK, so as nightmares go - this might not be the worst.

Theres not terrifying monsters or death - but its still a terrifying feeling.

If your dreams regularly involve you running for the toilet then there may be something

to it.

Some psychologists see the toilet as a symbol of release for a person.

If youre dreaming about needing the toilet but not being able to find one - it could

be that youre looking for this release in your life.

Theres something in your day to day life that needs to be dealt with but you cant find the

right outlet for it - just like needing the toilet when you cant get to one.

The good news is that if this is the case, dealing with this blockage in your real life

can bring an end to the toilet nightmares for good!

And finally at number 1 we Being Trapped.

Nightmares where a person feels trapped or unable to escape a place are quite common.

They can also come in the form of being buried alive or being unable to scream.

A lot of people think these dreams indicate feeling trapped in real life, whether it be

work or a relationship or something else.

The person may feel like they have no choices in that area anymore and this is manifested

in the dream as having nowhere to go.

It may be terrifying to have a dream about being trapped but ultimately, this one may

be one of the most useful indicators to have when it comes to fixing problems in real life.

hello my friends, good evening

it's 9 pm

but that doesn't stop us from studying

so today i am- oh my god my friend keeps-

i don't know when this is going to end but-

aw that's a cute picture

so currently i am studying korean

just because i'm not in school yet

i have a week left of my break

so i get to study what i want to study

of course when i get back to school i'm studying other things but

for now i get to study korean

hopefully along the way i can find tips and stuff to tell you

but this is just a chill video of me studying korean

i'm basically showing you all the methods that i use

so hopefully this video's kinda useful

but let's just get started

the website that i use currently is howtostudykorean.com

i've also mentioned talktomeinkorean.com in the past

i'm not using that lately just because

i have a bookmark saved for howtostudykorean so i just keep going to that

but both are good websites so use whatever you want

so right now i am studying

lesson 27 on howtostudykorean

now the thing is

i'm not going in order

and that's a bad thing that's not something you should do

howtostudykorean.com has like hundreds of lessons

technically it's a good idea to go in order

but for me personally

i have a habit of jumping from lesson to lesson

because i just want to learn what i want to learn

so before lesson 27 i was on like lesson 85

and then lesson 10

lesson 40

lesson 110 so i'm just all over the place

the sad thing is i'm korean and so i have the context but

sadly i'm not fluent

but because i have the context i have the habit of just wanting to learn what i want to learn

like for instance if i wanted to learn

something that i heard in a conversation

then i'm just going to search it up on google and

see what lesson that is

and sometimes that will be like lesson 100 or something

like lesson 40

but for now we are on lesson 27 and we are learning

using ~던 and ~었던 to describe past tense

i already wrote the vocabulary now i'm just going in with the actual grammar

now i've been meaning to learn this because i hear ~던 and ~었던 a lot so

it's good that i'm finally getting into that

in regards to my notes it's pretty straightforward

it's just all the vocab and then notes on the grammar

i don't write it word for word i just write what i need to write

i used to put vocab on quizlet but now i write it out just because

handwriting's pretty important in korean so

i want to be able to practice my handwriting and so

vocab, easy way to practice your handwriting

and also

kind of memorize because

it's better to write things out

this is pretty straightforward

i just remembered i have another book dedicated to korean

and it is this notebook where i write down song lyrics

i get the lyrics from colorcodedlyrics.com

colorcodedlyrics hasn't failed me with the translations i think they're pretty accurate

it might not be 100% accurate but it gets the idea

so i write the korean lyrics along with the translation

and then the key part to all of this

is that i underline words that i don't know in red

and then i add them to the end in the new words word bank

the words that i underline will obviously be words that i don't know

so they are new words

it's kind of for me to narrow down what i don't know, what i know, that kind of stuff

and so it's pretty helpful, you know

lyrics

it's poetry and so

sometimes the lyrics might be complicated

and the words might not be words that you use in everyday language

but it's still nice to know and sometimes

you learn a lot

i've collected a lot of useful words and they've just appeared everywhere else once i learned about them

you can also write pages from books and whatever

but lyrics are available on the internet for you

and if you listen to kpop

if you listen to music that's sung in korean

lyrics are all there for you

but that is a method that i like to use

also recently i did switch to naver dictionary

in my last video i talked about google translate

but i finally moved on to naver dictionary

and i definitely like it a whole lot better

the translations have been great

but i would definitely recommend that

if you don't have anyone in your life to speak korean to

because i have my parents to speak korean with

if you don't have people to speak korean with

korean dramas korean television

korean music all that

incredibly helpful

and the reason why it's helpful is because of context

recently i learned about this grammar structure called ~다시피

and it's lesson 85 by the way

but the grammar structure ~다시피 has like a meaning of

as you can see or as you know

if you connect it with 알다 or 보다

like there's 알다시피

there's 보다시피

아시다시피

there's 보시다시피

like i've been exposed to korean all my life

but i don't recall a moment when i heard

알다시피 in a conversation

but after learning it i suddenly started hearing it everywhere i went

well that's not true i don't really go outside a lot

but when i watch a korean drama

i hear it

all the time now

the grammar structure's everywhere but

i heard it for the first time

at least consciously

in a drama called "what's wrong with secretary kim"

i finished the drama it's great love it definitely recommend

but after i learned it i finally recognized the grammar structure and i was like

oh that's when you use it

because i'm sure i probably heard it

in conversations all the time but

i probably didn't notice it but now i notice it

i also heard it for the second time

in another drama

i'm watching encounter

and i heard it and i was like

oh my god

this word is everywhere

but now i understand the grammar structure and now i can use it in my everyday life

sorry my camera died the angle's probably different but who cares

but anyway back to our regularly scheduled program

i have a friend who is kind of learning korean

she only learns korean when she's with me

but she is learning

but my friend is german

she has literally nothing to do with korea

but she's still learning

and she's actually pretty far with korean in my opinion

she can read and write hangul

and she can kind of understand some words

and she can recognize a lot of words

and i just taught her how to form basic sentences

so hopefully she remembers that but i don't know

but my point is it's not impossible to learn korean

it doesn't matter if you're korean or not

anyone can learn it

our favorite thing to do is watch bts videos or

especially run bts because that's a variety show

which by the way

a new episode's coming out tomorrow as i'm filming this

but when we watch run bts she actually recognizes a lot of words

and that makes me feel proud

that she actually knows these things

so it's definitely helpful to have some kind of media to consume

whether that's tv whether that's a book

whether that's songs, whatever you want

it's just helpful to be able to hear what you learn in context

oh my gosh i just remembered

another tip that i have for you guys

another habit i have is writing down words on sticky notes

you can also technically type words out in your notes app

but i'm emphasizing again how important it is to practice your handwriting

and so i have these sticky notes

and i'll literally, if i'm watching

a variety show or if i'm listening to a song

or if i just hear a word that i don't know

i'll jot it down and i'll find the translation

and it's there for you

i like to stick them right into my notebook just so i have them for later

but it's just very helpful to have a sticky notes pad right next to you

as you're watching something or listening to something

so you can just write down words as you go

one of my favorite korean variety shows is called the return of superman

it's about celebrity dads taking care of their children

it's really cute

but also it's very helpful

especially for people learning korean

with this show in particular the way that the children speak

is actually very helpful

because not only do you hear casual conversation

but you also hear how children speak

and so it's going to be easier grammar

and easier vocabulary and all that

and because of the editing there's always like words that pop up everywhere

and then you can just copy it down

like i said with the sticky notes

but you can actually learn a lot from these kids

and in my opinion

these kids speak way better than me

so i think it's very helpful

and it's also nice to see how

people speak to each other especially

like seeing the children speak to adults and seeing the adults speak to children

it's a nice kind of look into real life sort of

but there are a lot of variety shows and i

definitely recommend watching a variety show

because although dramas are helpful

it's also nice to hear people speak

in their vernacular

it's just nice to hear people speak casually

and also you can hear their immediate responses to something

i watch a lot of variety shows and korean dramas

so if you guys want recommendations and all that let me know

so with the examples i like to write them in red

just because it helps my brain to see things in different colors

it's also helpful to pronounce everything as you go

assuming that you already learned the pronunciation and all that

which i would recommend studying first

don't be afraid to talk to yourself

attached to a verb to describe a noun

where the action is recalled to have occurred in the past

but has finished occurring and currently does not occur

and then finally

this one

i'm emphasizing right now

it's so important to practice your handwriting

the more that you practice writing in korean

the more muscle memory you'll build

and the faster that you can write

like super past past tense

but that is all that my brain can do right now

i literally just did one lesson

but that's what happens when you start at night

don't start studying at night

that's not a good way to study

WestJet 787 team trip to Boeing Delivery Center - Duration: 2:39.

This trip to Boeing for me personally is extremely gratifying

I'm a 15 year WestJetter

It's just really exciting to be able to at the place

where the product that we offer our guests is created

We walked in from the parking lot and I could see it out on the pad

It was a pretty surreal moment.

It's something I've looked at in in pictures

and manuals for almost a year now

That emotion that you feel in your chest of pride.

Live, standing out there in the beautiful rain

it was a lovely thing to see to see.

To see the actual, physical aircraft in front of me...

is a sense of amazement.

Jeff recently mentioned that this aircraft is for all WestJetters

and when I saw it and was in the moment

I truly felt that. I truly feel like it's my aircraft

and it's all WestJetters' aircraft.

I'm here on the 787 FAM trip

and I'm validating cargo standards.

I'm an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

and I'm one of the members of the 787 Entry Into Service team

I work in the Flight Ops department,

specifically Inflight Standards and Procedures

and our team writes the Flight Attendant Manual

There were so many departments to collaborate with,

everybody has something that they bring to the table

and we really had to work together very closely

to make sure that we were supporting each other

and that this dream that we have could come alive

I think for all the teams here in Everett,

this is just a final check box

to make sure that when we receive this aircraft

that everything's gonna run smoothly

and that we're going to be successful with this

I think what WestJetters will find most interesting about the 787 is

how all the parts are networked together

to communicate with the CCR cabinet

It's a flying network computer, basically.

The level of technology that they've used

is beyond anything I ever dreamed of when I started fixing aircraft.

This process has been extremely rewarding.

I've been able to collaborate and

bring my expertise to the table

It has been challenging.

There's been a lot of travel involved.

a lot of long hours,

a lot of repeat work,

just to make sure that we're getting everything right

but it's probably been the best experience I've had here at WestJet.

I know that when I see that aircraft

in Calgary or Toronto or wherever end up seeing it first in Canada

that feeling is going to be the same or or even better.

Graduation Rates Climb to Record Heights - Duration: 1:42.

They're for Denver Public Schools high school students – who are posting some record-breaking

graduation rates.

"Our four-year, on-time graduation rate increased to 70.2-percent in 17-18… that's

a 3.5% increase from the previous year.

I think that's really amazing.

If anyone wants to cheer about that, this would be a great moment to cheer!" (cheers)

It's even better for those students who start with DPS in 9th grade.

The school system credits rigorous course and program offerings, like concurrent enrollment,

CareerConnect, Early College and Ascent.

There's also a sense of ownership from student leaders

(Applause)

whose leadership, feedback and voice help close the gap, especially for our students

of color.

And then there's new state and DPS graduation requirements, which aren't just about pushing

students a little harder.

They're about inspiring them, and meeting them where they are.

"Now, more than ever, learning feels relevant for our students."

Finally, there's the commitment of school social workers and counselors, who support

students every step of the way.

"It takes all of us to ensure our students leave us with choices and opportunity."

There's still work to do, to close the opportunity gap, and new Superintendent Susana Cordova

says there's a lot of evidence as to what's working best.

"And so as we think about the coming years, it's the incredible hard work and best practices

that we see represented here that we want to make sure we're doing across the city."
