What Should I Save Each Month? - Duration: 4:09.

Sean Cooper paid off his mortgage in 3 years at the age of 30.

Firecracker and Wanderer from Millennial Revolution, a couple in their 30's have retired with

a $1 million investment portfolio and are travelling the world after saving aggressively

and foregoing home ownership in downtown Toronto.

Both media stories have gotten a lot of attention as well as negative feedback for their feats

not being realistic.

But are they that unrealistic?

While I'm not suggesting you do the same as they did, we can all learn something from

these stories.

I'm Susan Daley and this is Your Money, Your Choices and today, I'll be giving a

lesson in savings.

Wait!

Don't leave!

It's more fun than it sounds.

[musical interlude]

Most people can't or don't want to make the extreme sacrifices that were made by Sean

and the folks at Millennial Revolution.

Some might not even want to achieve what they did, frankly.

While I really enjoy travelling, I also love my job, so it's not my goal to quit work

in my 30's and travel the world non-stop.

But what they did was figured out exactly what they wanted and set their

minds to getting there.

Personal finance goals are different for everyone.

While some might prioritize travelling, or being mortgage free, you may place higher

value on other things, such as living a balanced lifestyle, having children, etc.

Now, a few excuses made for not saving as much as we should are that either there's nothing

leftover to save, or we don't want to sacrifice our current lifestyle.

So then, in order to save, we either have to earn more income, or spend less.

I'll focus on the latter.

I follow Carl Richards, an advisor in the US and author of Behaviour Gap and The One-Page

Financial Plan.

In July and August of 2015, Carl wrote a number of blogs around aligning your spending with

your values, something that really hit home with me.

The idea is: many of us continue to spend money, but the way we spend that money often

doesn't add value in our lives.

In his blog, he suggested going through your credit card (or debit) statement, line by

line, and checking if each item you spent money on aligned with your values (which of course

you need to determine beforehand).

Line by line, I drudged through this tedious task, but it was worth it.

I discovered I was spending money on material things and take-out food that weren't adding

anything to my life, which meant I didn't have as much to spend on what I really did value:

learning, exploring, and connecting with family, friends, and the community.

Around the same time, Cait Flanders (formerly known as Blonde on a Budget) had just completed

a year-long shopping ban and was embarking on a second year.

I thought this would be a great way to jump start my values-based budget by eliminating

spending on material items I didn't value.

At the same time, I allowed myself to spend on experiences I did value, as long as I could

continue saving for my long-term goals.

I finished my year-long shopping ban at the end of August this year.

I can honestly say that it wasn't very hard to cut out the non-essential material spending.

I managed to save over 35% of my income, while still including a non-budget trip to Chicago,

lots of eating out, and replacing my car after it got totalled (but more on that another time).

Shopping bans and extreme saving don't have to be part of your plan, but stepping back

and making more deliberate choices about your money, might mean making your own dream come true.

What are the things that YOU value?

What are YOUR goals?

Why Weed Edibles Don't Work -Brittany Smokes Weed - Duration: 4:52.

the way that it is a 1 Mama crack every

now when i'm on the floor don't thinking

damn this shit gets 0

what's up guys things come back for

another video I was gonna take this dad

before the video but i decided to do

with you guys just so we can all like

have a hit together before we get

started today and if you don't have

anything smoke i will take this down for

you

everybody was dry right now this is for

you guys

alright so today's video is going to be

all about edibles and why they don't

work for some people as you guys know I

love edibles I think that they're really

great for people that have anxiety or

have told managing their pain and the

effects of edibles tends to be a lot

stronger than just smoking flower which

is why they're more desirable to a lot

of people that suffer from different

medical conditions there are a lot of

people that have reported that they

don't get any effects from having

edibles and there are couple different

reasons why this can be happening i'm

gonna tell you as a few this reasons

this first reason that i'm going to talk

about is super simple and it's really

easy to fix

so when people make edibles at home like

in their kitchen sometimes they miss one

huge crucial step not is the carving

their cannabis most likely whatever kind

of canvas you're using to make your

edibles going to have to BD card before

you actually use it in your butter your

oil or whatever extraction process are

using i'm not going to go too much into

d carbon i think i have like a video on

what it means to heat your cannabis

whenever you do heat your cannabis what

you're doing is you're basically

converting non psychoactive compound

thca into psychoactive compound THC

which is what you need in order to feel

the effects from credible THC is what

you want so skipping out holdy car

process can result in either really

really weak edibles or edibles that

don't even work at all

so those are just some of the things

that can happen if you don't the card to

read that's really easy to fix so if you

have any card to read and made edibles

and you think that they don't work

go ahead and the car to read and tried

again another reason edibles may not

work is if you have stomach or intestine

problems

ok just bear with me obviously I'm not a

doctor or anything like that but this is

just based on like what I've researched

personally like online you can like

research it for yourself if you're

curious about it but basically what i

found is that people would like stomach

problems such as like IBS or stuff like

that don't usually feel effects of

edibles this could be because their

bodies don't do very well absorbing

thing

it's like to see or anything like that

their bodies could just have a problem

absorbing things in general so it does

make sense that it would absorb the

audible correctly but there are also

people not have something problems and

actually use edible soon like treat them

and medicate so so I really think it

depends on like the person in their

condition when it comes to that i've

also heard that eating a meal like hind

that before you have your canvas edible

will help your body to absorb the THC

better so so that's something that you

can also try out if you don't have the

best luck with edibles another thing

that can affect how you react to edibles

and general is your tolerance to

cannabis as a whole for example if you

smoke a lot of weed like really heavy

smokers most likely need a higher dosage

out of wool rather than someone who just

smokes occasionally or like just maybe

like on the weekends or something out

here in Colorado the edibles are marked

off and select 10 milligram dosage which

really isn't a lot i think even feel

like occasional smokers you want to have

like at least like between 15 and 20

ultimately I think you just have to play

around with it like dosages and

different edibles and just how your body

works with certain things those are

really all the reasons that I could come

up with as to why edibles may not work

for some people but if you can think of

anything else let me know in the

comments

ah i'm gonna go don't forget to like and

share also don't forget to subscribe

I make new videos all the time guys stay

educated stay medicated and i will see

you guys later life

How to Turn Off the Notes (from Printing) in SPSS Output - Duration: 1:17.

In this video I'd like to show you how

to remove the notes from your output. And

if you've seen those before, the notes

are that giant table that comes out in your

output that really can be a great waste

of paper when you're printing your

results. So let's see how to do that.

Thankfully, it's pretty easy. So just to

show you what I mean here, if I run

descriptives on SAT here, click OK. Notice

these notes I get, in fact they're much

bigger than my one table of output. I

don't want to see this thing every time

I run an analysis and I certainly don't

want to print it out because it wastes a

lot of paper. So there's an easy way to

turn that off, but first let's go ahead

and delete this. Go to Edit and then go

to Options. And then if your Viewer tab is

not selected, make sure that you select it.

Go to this third option here,

Item Notes. Notice it says contents are

initially shown. Go ahead and click

Hidden, click Apply, then OK. And then now

let's rerun our analysis and click OK.

And I no longer have those notes. So that

really can help in terms of printing the

results and just trying to read the

results as the notes are so large.

OK that's it. Thanks for watching.

How to create a repository in GitHub - CM005 - Duration: 4:52.

Hi, in this video it's time for us to put our code into a Git repository.

In this video, we're going to set up a new repository with our source code mostly from

the command line.

If you're already used to using git, this will be review.

In the next git video, we'll go over the development process.

And then we'll connect this together to automatically add Git versioning inside our microservice.

But we have to set things up first.

A best practice is to get all of this in place early in the development process.

We're using GitHub, because it's the one everyone is familiar with.

Feel free to use any other Git repository such as GitLab or Bitbucket.

This tutorial also assumes you already have Git installed on your machine.

Git is a version control system, that tracks the different versions of our source code.

Every time we make a change and save it to Git, a new version of our code is stored.

Not only can we get the most recent version of our code, we can also reference previous

versions.

This will be important for when we need to know what version of our code produced the

microservice in production.

Right now, we just need to move our code into Git.

Here's what we're going to do.

We'll create a repository on Github, initialize a repository on our machine, setup the ignore

file and readme, and check our code into GitHub.

Don't worry if that all didn't make sense.

We're going to cover each step in detail.

Let's get started.

Our first step is to go to Github.com.

Click on the Repositories tab and click on the New button.

You can also click on the plus in the upper right corner and select new repository.

This will take us to a page that looks like this.

We'll want to give the repository a name.

The description is a good idea, especially if we have many repositories.

We do have the choice of making it public or private.

If we're considering making it private, I'd recommend using GitLab.

They have free private repos.

Since we're going to bring in an existing repo, skip adding a readme.

We'll add that later.

We'll skip the gitignore and license for the same reasons.

Once we're done, we'll hit create repository.

We now have a repository in GitHub.

So let's go back to our machine and connect it with our code.

First we need to initialize a git repository on our machine.

We'll navigate to our code directory, and enter the following Git commands.

First we want to do git init.

This initializes our code directory as a git directory.

What it does is creates a directory inside our code directory with all the information

it needs to track our changes.

Next we want to link our repository to the one on GitHub.

We'll do that with the command git remote add origin https://github.com/deege/test.git

This tells git that there's a remote version of our code, and the URL tells Git where it

is.

Once we're done, we can verify the remote is added with the command git remote -v.

This will list all the remote repositories linked to our repository.

Now before we check in files, we want to let Git know which files are important.

We do this by telling Git to ignore some files by adding a .gitignore file.

The file just lists files and file expressions to ignore.

So we'll create a file, and then add the following to it.

Anything between hash marks are comments.

For now, we'll just make sure nothing in the compiled is added.

Next we want to create the README.

This file is named README.md.

The MD stands for markdown, and you can find many resources on formatting the document

using markdown online.

Check the transcript for links to learn the markdown syntax.

In this file we'll add some simple text for now.

And finally we'll add the code to our remote repository in GitHub.

We add it with the command

git add .

That adds everything.

Then we'll commit it with the following command.

git commit -m "first commit"

This command commits our changes to the local repository, and adds a message about what

we changed.

Usually you'll want to include more information, but since this is the first commit we'll just

say that.

Finally we want to push our changes into GitHub.

We'll do that with the command

git push origin master

And our code should be in Github.

We can refresh the repository and we should see our code.

So that's how we get our code into GitHub.

GitHub is free as long as your repository is open source and public.

If you need a private repository, you can pay GitHub for private repositories.

If you don't want to pay, Bitbucket is free for academics, and GitLab allows free private

repositories.

That might be the best option if you're indie and not an academic.

In the next tutorial, we'll want to go over how we track changes in our code.

Thanks for watching the video.

You can find the source code and the complete transcripts on DeegeU.com.

Next we'll take a look at our development process in Git.

If you like what you're seeing or have any questions, let me know in the comments or

on DeegeU.com!

See you in the next tutorial!

How to be MORE PRODUCTIVE and GET SHIT DONE! - Ep. 3 - Duration: 6:27.

Welcome Gary, thanks for joining us here on SEO CheatGuides, the "Getting Shit Done" show

and, without further ado, I'm gonna ask you what I ask other entrepreneurs that

we've been kind of interviewing: how do you manage to get stuff done? all of your tips,

your tricks, your strategies.

Share with us and help us get more shit done [Gary:] Yeah, yeah.

Well, I appreciate being on the show, I appreciate all you guys are doing, it's a great resource

SEO CheatGuides just continues to bring stuff that I love so, part of getting all of that

done, getting the array of stuff that we have to do, done, is: First, finding great resources

like what you're putting out that cuts a lot of noise out so there's a lot of very important

websites that you need to go to.

You know, Stuart, you're putting out great stuff, Neil Patel, some of these other guys

that are really well-known, Backlinko.

Find great resources and just continue to feed yourself knowledge, that would be one.

The second thing to do that's really going to help people get things done would be: Find

the right people.

Hire the right people.

So, pretty much on the list of non-negotiables would be: get a good CPA.

You can't do it all.

Get a good CPA, the sooner you get that done, the less headache you're gonna have down the road

The second non-negotiable is: If you're an SEO or online marketing, I would suggest getting

a quality developer.

Everybody outsources to like, India for $5 Dollars an hour, and they end up investing

all this money; but if you get a good Developer, door open in unbelievable ways, we've had

some amazing doors open, so, that's a non-negotiable, for me, in terms of if there is an array of

things that I need to get done, I need a good Developer.

The other thing would be a Project Manager, we have a Project Manager that is a VA, they're

in Malaysia but they're friends of ours, they went from America to Malaysia, so they're

very versed in English and there are some time differences that we have to work around,

but, she knows what she's doing, her name is Hellen, she is amazing, she does a really

great job, that's a non-negotiable, because that's a huge part of getting stuff off my plate

Another thing would be a good sales person, you need somebody that knows sales, they know

how to call.

I had an interview with a friend of mine, actually, last night, we had coffee.

And he's been looking to get into some commission-based sales, today, by 9 AM, he called me with a

huge steel company here in Michigan that we are already setting up a meeting for and,

that's a non-negotiable, I mean, that's growing the company, those possessions CPA, a Developer,

a Project Manager and a Sales Person are kind of your core support, they can really take

the vision that you have as an entrepreneur in a brand new direction and they can run

with your vision while you begin to do things that you love to do.

So, if there are things that you need to get done, you need to recognize what you're good at

and then you need to hire out the things that you're not.

So, the other hard part is try to be creative with payments because you can't just come

out and hire a developer for $100,000 dollars a year, you know?

But you can have a buying option, you can have, while I'm looking for a partner and

this is somebody that I would be willing, CPAs, you're not gonna want to do that so

you can do some other things that way.

Proejct Manager, there is a commission-based aspect, you can do that, we have commission

based on every sale we get, you know.

Monthly residue income comes to them and even our sales person is the same so, those are

just some creative ways to try and take as much off your plate as possible and do what

you're really good at and then you can see your business really begin to explode.

[Stuart]: Fantastic!

So, in your week, when you get up, Monday morning or Sunday night, how do you plan your week?

[Gary]: Great question!

It depends on the workload, there are some things that are obviously replicable,

that I do every week.

Usually on Sunday I plan all the big projects, two or three main things I wanna get done

every day, that I know "these are things that are non-negotiable and I have to get these done",

making sure that everything is delegated and this is typically Sunday night.

Monday morning, if I don't do it Monday morning, I don't do it Monday morning, I won't do it

any other day so Monday morning is really my "Knowledge Day".

I think, in order to have a good business and to be growing you have to increase in

knowledge, so you have to be reading things like Search Engine Journal or Entrepreneur.com

or whatever might be, and so I just go, I got my Feedly account, and I got all these

different resources loaded up on there, so I'm scanning all the blogs that came out over

the week and just seeing as is there anything that I need to know?

And then Tuesday through Saturday are just project managements and delivering on those

deliverables.

[Stuart]: So why don't you just tell us a little bit about your back-story.

[Gary]: Sure!

Yeah, so, I've been in marketing for 14 years, actually, no, 16 years.

14 years at one company, I had a marketing company and then 2014 started GraftedIn Software Design:

-I'm thinking about starting my own company, and this is actually a resignation.

And it wasn't because I was unhappy I loved my job but I knew that his was the next angle

I wanted to go and he said: "You know?, I always knew you were going to do this!"

[Laughter] And I kinda kick myself looking back because I knew I wanted to do it, but,

I didn't feel that I knew everything and it really held me back!

And once you jump in, there's no way you can learn what you know unless you do it.

There is no other way! you can read it all you want, but unless you experience it, you

really don't know it.

[Stuart]: Thank you very much for joining us, before I jump off, I just wanted to see

where can people find you online, what's the best place to send people?

[Gary]: Sure, they can find me at our website GraftedInDesign.com

[Stuart]: Perfect! I will make sure to link below.

Vegan en vintage met modezeemeerminnetje Stephanie Broek - Duration: 8:00.

Arty Farty with Nellie Benner

Hi. My name is Nellie and this is Arty Farty.

Today cutest fashion mermaid: Stephanie Broek.

Hello.

Steef?

You're a fashion journalist for Glamour magazine.

But can you make this painting glamorous?

That's a good question. I don't think so.

The first question.

Okay. Let's go.

We start with the paintings base.

What is your foundation?

My foundation? In life?

Yeah.

Good question.

I quess my boyfriend.

We have a relationship for eight years now and we moved together to Amsterdam.

We met in my first year of college.

He's my best friend and everything at the same time.

What are the essentials every girl should have in her closet?

That's hard to say.

I don't think you need necessarily a specific item.

At the runway nowadays everything is mixed.

You see the 90's, 70's and even 80's. Everything is possible.

It's more how you combine al those pieces I quess.

Wear clothes that makes you feel comfortable. That's what I do more and more.

Art or junk?

Most likely art.

You stand there with a look of disapproval.

No, no. Definitely not.

No. Surely art. It has to be something in between.

And fashion wise.

Designer clothes or no brand?

No brand.

Really?

It's so not important.

I don't like logo's. Perhaps only when they made it really funny.

No, I don't care.

I like to go vintage shopping more then go to a big department store.

I love you more and more.

Continu painting. I blow some bubbles.

You blow a bubble. I like that.

It's more boxing then painting.

What makes you happy in life?

Travel and love.

I love to travel. I spend a lot more money on trips then clothes.

Really?

Yes, more important.

Cool.

I take a blueberry.

You take a blueberry.

What's your favorite outfit?

Favorite outfit...

Oh. God. I have to choose between my children. No!

Crops flared.

A 70's flared jeans only a bit shorter.

A turleneck jumper.

And a nice coat.

And kitten heels. Something like that.

Kitten heel?

That's a very short baby heel.

Really? Is that fashion?

Yes. I wear them now.

You can't wear that!

It's fun. A bit like the 60's and you don't walk uncomfortable.

It makes you stand up straight and gives you confidence.

Often we can recognize artists by something specific. For example their specific art or how they behave.

What identifies you?

Now I have to say those glasses off course.

People recognize me by my glasses.

But it's funny, it was never my intention. I started to wear my glasses, because my lenses were irritating me.

And then suddenly everybody loved my glasses.

So I thought why torture myself by wearing those lenses again?

So it was a practical consideration?

Sure. Very practical.

And in the end it is good people can recognize you easily in my industry.

Which fashion designer is a real artist?

Alessandro Michele.

Creative director of Gucci.

He came from nothing.

He was working a really long time behind the scenes as the right- hand men of the former creative director.

His first collection was so refreshing.

It's very much in keeping with my style.

Glasses, earrings, men-suits and very feminine shirts all mixed up.

All kind of styles mixed to something so new. That is really skillful.

Got you a question!

I love the Gucci loafers. But they're made with real fur.

Yes. Kangaroo fur.

Not cool.

You are vegan.

Yes.

What view do you take?

That's difficult.

Aesthetically it is really beautiful. Not in particular those loafers.

Even when I think something is pretty, I certainly wouldn't sell my key principles for clothes.

No fur, no leather.

Are you allowed to buy leather in a vintage shop?

Yes, but real vintage. Vintage is not two years old.

Something really old is permitted?

Yes. I do have real vintage leather.

I got the question if I don't inspire people to buy real leather.

That need some thought.

I would struggle with that.

But I highlight the fact that I am vegan.

People can see at my Instagram that I am vegan and don't buy leather myself.

A lot of people know that Stella Mc Cartney products are fake leather.

I hope my message is clear.

Let's go.

I feel like Jackon Pollock with glitters.

Those glitters are great.

Great.

What will be the name of this painting?

Eden.

Feels like the paradise of Adam and Eve.

Good?

Yes.

If you want to win this painting Eden...

Sounds also like that Dutch pornstar Bobbi Eden.

But we mean this painting!

Leave a message in the comments!

Thanks!

Thanks! Bye!

How to Make a Great LinkedIn Profile - 6 LinkedIn Profile Tips - Duration: 6:35.

Hi, it's Linda Raynier of LindaRaynier.com

Career Strategist, Speaker and Coach.

And in this video, I'm going to teach you six tips on how to make a great LinkedIn profile,

so that you can get noticed by recruiters and hiring managers

and literally become a magnet for new job opportunities.

You may not realize this,

but aside from your resume,

your LinkedIn profile is being carefully reviewed by the recruiters and hiring managers for the jobs that you apply for.

So if your LinkedIn isn't on point,

you may not even make it to the first round of interviews.

So it's extremely important to pay attention to how your LinkedIn is being presented

and that it represents the best possible version of you.

All right so let's dive into LinkedIn tip #1 and that is to have a photo that sends good vibes.

So aside from your name,

your LinkedIn profile picture is one of the first things that recruiters and hiring managers look at

as soon as they look you up on LinkedIn.

So you want to have a photo that's recent and of high quality.

You don't want to be using any old or dark, grainy photos

and you definitely don't want to be deceiving anybody by using a photo from several years back.

So make sure it's bright, it's clear, and that you're smiling and looking professional.

So for the guys, perhaps wear a collared shirt and a suit jacket and if you can, a tie as part of your LinkedIn profile picture.

And for the ladies, I would suggest wearing a blazer or a nice fitted top that is appropriate for the office.

Also, try to have a LinkedIn-specific photo

instead of using a picture from a recent family wedding or some other occasion.

And the reason for this is because you want to give the sense that you're serious about your career.

So, using any photo from any situation and any setting can cause some people to potentially question how serious you really are.

That's why I say if you want to put your best self forward in your job search and career

then that also applies to your LinkedIn profile photo.

Tip #2: Use an appropriate headline.

So, I've seen different opinions on what people should put as their headlines.

I've seen people say that you should have multiple description words that are high value and high impact.

But to be honest, I completely disagree.

I feel that you should just put your job title as your headline.

So if you're a Senior Financial Analyst, put that as your headline.

If you are a Finance Manager, put that as your headline.

And the reason for this is so that recruiters and hiring managers can find you easily.

If they have a job opportunity and they're looking for someone with your type of experience, your title specifically,

then they'll be able to find you.

But if you put in all these complicated words and vague descriptions

in your headline, people don't know what your title is and they don't know who you are and what you do.

So I highly recommend using your job title as your headline.

All right, onto tip #3.

Tip #3: Have a "What I Can Do For You"-Oriented Profile Summary

A lot of people don't even write up profile summaries in their LinkedIn profiles

and I think that's a shame. Because when you do have a profile summary

it helps you get noticed by recruiters and hiring managers for buzzwords that they may be looking up.

So, in your profile summary you want it to be short and sweet, but

at the same time, you don't want to just be talking about you, you, you

and instead, talk about what problems you help to solve.

And an example of how you would write your profile summary would be...

So that's an example of one sentence that you would have as part of your profile summary

and you would have probably, I would say about 3 or 4 of those and that'll make up a full paragraph

and that will be your little intro for anybody that lands on your LinkedIn profile.

Onto tip #4, and that is to make your work experience short and sweet.

You don't want to lay out all details and your duties and your achievements

onto your LinkedIn profile because that's what your resume is for.

So your LinkedIn profiles should just have your job titles,

your companies that you've worked at,

the exact months and years that you've worked in each of those roles,

and maybe, maybe have one bullet point that kind of summarizes

the overall responsibilities within each of the jobs that you've held.

The reason why you don't want to lay out all your goods onto the LinkedIn profile

is because you want to pique the interest of the recruiter or the hiring manager.

If they see that based on the titles that you've held and the companies that you've worked at

that there's a potential fit for an opportunity they have on the go

there's a greater likelihood that because they don't know everything about you,

by just looking at your LinkedIn profile,

they will then reach out to you and ask for your resume.

So that's how you then become a greater magnet for job opportunities.

A lot of people seem to hesitate to ask for recommendations from their old managers or bosses,

but I say, get over that fear and ask for those recommendations.

Because that's one simple way that you can get your LinkedIn profile to truly stand out

from other profiles out there.

And you want to make sure that these recommendations are coming from people that you worked for

such as an old boss or manager,

as opposed to a peer.

And the reason is, getting a recommendation from a peer is fine, but

it's still not as effective as if you can have it from someone who you consider a reference.

And finally, Tip #6: Put out your contact details.

This is something that a lot of people forget to do,

but I say, always remember to include some sort of contact information

whether it's an email address, and if you're comfortable, a phone number

somewhere that is easily visible on your LinkedIn profile

so that any recruiter or hiring manager that really wants to speak to you right away about an opportunity

can easily find it and reach out to you.

So now you have it, 6 major tips on how to make a great LinkedIn profile so that you can become a magnet for new job opportunities.
