Battle of the Ports - LED Storm / Mad Gear (マッド・ギア) Show #209 - 60fps - Duration: 11:56.

Now this is a confusing game in understanding where it came from.

The Japanese title is known as Mad Gear.

There's also a US version of the game with English text going under the Mad Gear name

too.

Then there's the US title version known as LED Storm which is the same game as Mad Gear.

But wait, the original version of this game was actually called Rally 2011 LED Storm and

that's the better version in my opinion and it's also the version you are seeing now.

In this futuristic looking game you can transform your vehicle from a car to a bike.

In the final released game which came out a year later in 1989 you can't change your

car during gameplay.

You must choose one of three vehicles before the game starts.

Personally I don't think the game is as appealing either plus that cool talking intro is missing.

Let's take a look at the final version of the game before looking at the ports.

Now here's something odd, the home ports use the original game's assets, the assets from

the "beta' release.

I'm not surprised as they look much nicer.

The only thing they don't include is the transforming car.

So how good is the Atari ST port?

Well, one of the highlights of the arcade game was the awesome music.

I have to say that despite the simple sound chip of the ST we do get some nice tunes.

It's just a shame the same can't be said about the game play.

This port is notoriously difficult.

The time allotted to complete a stage basically means you have to a flawless run.

I couldn't even complete the first stage!

I got so close a few time but could never do it all because of the kamikaze AI that

rams the shit out of your car.

Some really nice music from the Follin brothers in this Amiga port but sadly it's just the

same as the Atari St when it comes to gameplay.

Strangely, the lower frame rate at which the game runs actually makes it easier.

That's not to say it's not without its problems.

The energy bar seems to still deplete the same amount on a stage no matter how fast

you drive and if you come off the track, God forbid you need to get somewhere in a hurry

because the elevator that brings you back is powered by snails.

Why oh why are European home computer arcade ports developed by numbuts?

This Speccy port could have been fantastic if it wasn't down to one stupid gameplay flaw.

The energy power ups appear off track most of the time meaning they're impossible to

reach which in turn means you can't collect extra energy most of the time resulting in

a first stage that's harder to complete than it needs to be.

It really is a shame because this moves fast, sounds good and even looks good.

As you may have guessed by now, Software Creations are responsible for every port so far and

they've all had something wrong with them.

In fact most games they develop are poor.

Anyway, this Amstrad CPC port looks more like an early build of the game it's that bad.

No music, crappy graphics, horrible scrolling, no indicators during game play to tell you

how much energy you have left and the power icons being off track most of the time just

like the Speccy port.

Truly an awful mess.

How about this.

The Commodore 64 port actually allows you to transform from the car to the bike just

like the early version of the arcade game!

Not only that but its stages resemble the arcade more closely too than any other port

developed by Software Creations.

I'd even go as far as saying it played well too if it wasn't for the overly strict energy limit.

Thankfully in this port the energy puck ups float on to the track area as they should do.

The latter includes 600 cans of food to keep four from going hungry on a 2,000 calorie

per-person, per-day diet.

The cheapest kit has 96 cans of food to feed one person on a diet of 1,200 calories per

day for one year.

Costco's doomsday diet consists of freeze-dried broccoli and dehydrated apples, which can

last up to 25 years.

It also includes instant lentils and instant black beans that have a 30 year shelf life.

Here's how the mega-retailer marketed their survival kit.

Enjoy the comfort in knowing you have the essential foods your family will need to survive

an emergency or natural disaster!

Seems like a very chipper way to go about a future catastrophe.

Fornite Mobile, New PUBG Maps, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 -- Weekly Download #84 - Duration: 4:50.

Hey welcome to Zach's Tech Turf and Weekly Download #84.

Today I'm gonna be playing some Destiny 2 while I give you this news, I'm honestly

not playing anything else this week because it's Iron Banner week, sorry, but I also

got my cup of coffee right there, make sure you guys let me know in the comment section

what you're sippin' on.

Let's get into it.

First up we got some very juicy Ryzen + processor leaks this week, and once again they look

pretty legit.

They are coming from AMD slides on a spanish website, and they show the specs and prices

of the upcoming Zen + line.

In there's a slide there's a Ryzen 7 2700X for $369, a Ryzen 7 2700 for $299, Ryzen 5

2600X for $249, and a Ryzen 5 2500 for 199.

The Ryzen 7s are both 8 core 16 thread processors and the ryzen 5's are 6 core 12 thread processors.

Just from the prices alone you can clearly see that AMD is trying to compete with Intel's

8700k and 8400, only time will tell if it's actually good competition or not.

Next up some Newegg customers are gonna be or already pretty upset if they purchased

items while living in Connecticut.

The State has demanded that the sales tax be paid for all orders made on Newegg if you

were living in the state of Connecticut.

Even though we see that buying on newegg has 0 sales tax, that doesn't mean that you're

still legally obligated to pay those taxes.

If you're living in COnnecticut I would highly recommend watching JayzTwoCents video

on this, as it's like 15 minutes long and he goes really in depth about it.

And to already wrap up the tech news for the week before getting into the juicy PC gaming

news, NZXT has developed two knew All in One CPU coolers to their Kracken line.

The first one is the Kraken X72 which is their first ever 360mm AIO.

And the other one is a budget friendly M22 which is only 120mm.

They are priced at $200 and $100 respectively, and you can preorder those now and they should

start shipping next month.

Alright so to start off this PC gaming news for the week, Epic Games announced this week

that Fornite, the 100 player battle royale, did I really just explain what Fortnite was,

anyway, it's coming to iOS and Android.

Epic Games says that it will be the entire battle royal game, no dumbed down version

for phone, AND it will be crossplay enabled with PC, Mac, PS4, and iOS.

No announcements have been made as to when the mobile version will be released, but signups

do open over on their website on Monday.

And in even more Fortnite news, Epic Games also just unlocked their new limited time

gamemode.

It's 5 teams of 20 players where the last team standing is the winner.

I actually just jumped into a quick game before writing this, you know, I gotta give you guys

first hand experience, and honestly I didn't really like it.

It felt really weird having that many teammates running around the map, constantly checking

them first to see if they were on my team or not, but I don't know, maybe you guys

will like it.

Moving on past Fortnite, Brendan Greene showed us a 2018 roadmap for his popular PUBG and

there's some pretty cool stuff coming.

There's 2 new maps being developed, one of them is a quarter of the size of the current

maps which I'm super looking forward to, there's more player customization and emotes

coming, as well as new vehicles, weapons, and an improved ballistics system.

I don't know about you, but the super small map with the same 100 person game mode sounds

amazing cause honestly the main reason why I don't play PUBG is because I get bored

sometimes.

Next up H1Z1 has officially beocme a free to play game this week, meaning that if you

didn't already buy the game, you can hop right in now and give it a go for free.

For everyone that purchased the game already, you'll recieve an Appreciate Pack which

contins some pretty cool items and 10,000 skulls, and there's also of course more

microtransactions coming to support the new Free to play model.

Ubisoft officially announced The Division 2 this week, but we really won't get any

information about it until E3.

I'm personally very interested in how this new game does.

The Division launched horribly but has since progressed and a lot of people are enjoying

the game now.

Hopefully Ubisoft starts out Division 2 on a good note, but when you look at how Destiny

handled literally the exact same situation, you just never know.

And finally to wrap up the news this week, Activision has officially announced the new

Call of Duty, and it'll be Black Ops 4.

Other than the name, Treyarch being the developer, and a launch day of October 12th, we don't

know anything else about it.

peep this out guys it's Ian K back again with another one for ya this time headed

into Dickey's Barbecue Pit for the first time on the channel to check out the

latest version of their pulled pork sandwich and it looks like this one

could be a little spicy guys as in jalapeno cheddar spicy so let me run

inside my local Dickey's since they don't have a drive-thru and then we'll

definitely peep this out

well I think I'm in for a treat over here at Dickey's Barbecue Pit today guys

because the smell in my car is pretty insane thanks to this all-new jalapeno

cheddar spicy pulled pork sandwich and man that is really piled high that

slow-roasted pork aroma is lighting up my car pretty ridiculous right now let's

pop the top of this very shiny bun here and see what we've got underneath plenty

of chopped jalapenos and guys a mound of that slow roasted pork and like I said

that smell is so insane right now I am absolutely salivating waiting to get

into this right now on the bottom looks like we've got some cheddar cheese and

I'm thinking there's gonna be some barbecue sauce under there as well as

supposed to have a spicy barbecue sauce but guys a very nice sizable sandwich

and plenty of the good stuff in the middle guys it's just falling everywhere

so let's not waste any more time on this one guys it's the jalapeno cheddar spicy

pulled pork sandwich here at Dickey's Barbecue Pit let's peep out this flavor

loaded absolutely loaded guys we are most definitely diving in its the

jalapeno cheddar spicy pulled pork sandwich here at Dickey's Barbecue Pit

and man that is a mouthful of a title for what looks like pretty much a

mouthful of a sandwich let's go mmm instant heavy smoke on very very tender

pulled pork that is absolutely delicious super juicy and a lot of heat coming up

on the back end from those jalapenos haven't got to the barbecue sauce yet

I'm going in again mmm mmm Wow my mouth is completely sizzling right now because

of the jalapenos and unfortunately guys know spicy barbecue sauce on this as

it's supposed to have but man the flavor is crazy good that cheddar cheese is

most definitely doing its job trying to hold everything together on the bottom

of this one guys but unfortunately no spicy barbecue sauce as this one is

supposed to have what this one is relying on right now is the very heavy

smoky flavor of that tender pulled pork and man it is an extreme highlight on

top of the spicy jalapenos which are really delivering that heat and that's

all on top of a very soft and inviting brioche bun guys it's super fun to hold

and I got to say I think I'm gonna invite myself in again mmm so while I am

sorry I don't have the spicy barbecue sauce on the sandwich as it's supposed

to have the heat from the jalapenos is adding just the right amount that I

think that it's not drowning out the flavor of the meat because the smokiness

is very strong guys so I think the balance is good as-is

this has easily got to be some of the most legit pulled pork I think I've had

in a very very long time the smoke is so crazy and it's marinated so deep into

the meat that you taste it instantly not just smelling it guys

instantly when you take that bite super delicious well worth the price of

admission on this one guys and like I said I'm not missing that spicy barbecue

sauce one bit thanks to the slow smoked pulled pork in this one and there is

plenty of it as you can see this is gonna satisfy even the most heartiest

appetite just because of the size of it alone but of course that's just my

opinion based upon my first experience having one of the pulled pork sandwiches

over here at Dickey's but I got to tell you guys they definitely serve with a

heavy hand over here you get what you pay for and this is easily worth the

money easily but what do you guys think drop some comments down below let me

know what you guys thought of the jalapeno cheddar spicy pulled pork

sandwich over here is this something that you think you'd want to try based

upon what's on it already or do you wish that it actually had a little bit more

of that barbecue sauce as its supposed to drop some comments down below and

definitely let me know and as for the overall score I'm gonna have to give the

jalapeno cheddar spicy pulled pork sandwich here and Dickey's a rock-solid 9

out of 10 and the only reason it's up that high guys is because the flavor of

the pork itself literally sends this one into the stratosphere aside from

anything else this one has on it that slow roasted pork is pretty amazing and

it's well worth the money and your time if you've got a Dickies in the area and

even though like I said this didn't have that barbecue sauce it does have some

nice heat thanks to the jalapenos the cheddar cheese again kind of the glue

holding it together decent but still the flavor is all from the pork as it should

be highly recommended on this one and those are my thoughts on the newest

pulled pork sandwich here at Dickey's Barbecue Pit as we close out another

The Post • Best Picture Movie Review #JPMN - Duration: 2:02.

Underwhelming.

This 116-minute biographical drama by director Steven Spielberg shares the real-life story

of the Washington Post's battle against the US Government to expose a decades-long scandal

involving the Vietnam War.

The PG-13 rated film was well on its way to tripling its $50 million dollar budget two

months after its December 2017 release.

Unless you lived through this tumultuous time in history, I fear most audiences won't truly

appreciate the scope or importance of this film's story; as the script fails to adequately

explain why the 'Pentagon Papers' were significant to the future of American journalism and politics.

Spielberg's mobile-filmmaking style is always moving; with the steadycam hovering behind

people at waist height as they briskly walk down corridors.

It's the most kinetic film the acclaimed filmmaker has ever done.

The ensemble cast is led by Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep, as The Posts' editor and publisher,

respectively.

Predictably, Streep earned yet another Oscar nomination - her 21st! - with a dependably

excellent performances here.

A sequence where Hanks' intrepid team of reporters furiously pours over stacks and stacks of

paper in search of headline stories is the film's most effective moment.

Hanks is warned that publishing could lead to a conviction, and the Washington Post would

cease to exist.

Hanks immediately fires back, "If we live in a world where the government could tell

us what we can and cannot print, then the Washington Post as we know it has already

ceased to exist."

This fierce line of defiance perfectly encapsulates the tone and energy of the film.

Serving as a perfect mirror of today's sociopolitical landscape, this movie is the one America needs

right now...

I only wish the entire film was more engaging.

Unfortunately, this powerful scene is surrounded by forgettable moments and tired journalism

tropes we've seen a dozen times before in a dozen better films.

And given the immense level of talent in front of and behind the camera?

"The Post" is a bland misfire, and a criminally forgettable disappointment.

I thought it was an GOOD film.
