Dolan Crew re-enacts some of the best true stories from our subreddit about our weirdest

dreams.

I'm Melissa, and today, I'll be your narrator.

Number 10 was Submitted by A_Toxic_Melody Grgak

Grgak had a dream where he was trying to impress Vladmir Putin so he could go to space.

And throughout the dream, Putin was slowly turning into Kim Jong Un.

Grgak and a bunch of cool-looking teens that belonged in a 80's sitcom were playing paint

ball with Putin, and he was like "hey man, you're some pretty chill dudes, you can go

to space."

So Grgak got a jank-looking space suit, and went to the space station.

The space ship turned out to be a huge ceramic piñata with a pentagram on it.

Soon, common sense kicked in, and Grgak realized he probably shouldn't be hanging out with

communist leaders, nor getting into a demonic ceramic piñata space ship with a bunch of

80s sitcom characters.

So he said to Putin, who now looked more like Kim, "Look man, I've thought about it, I don't

want to go to space."

Kim said, "K," then all the other people turned into cats, and apparently that was as far

as his imagination could go, so then he woke up.

Number 9 was Submitted by RellinMurDeath Froggy The weirdest dream Froggy ever had was when

she was walking to a friend's house.

She was halfway there when all of a sudden, she turned into a doll and fell to the ground.

She started to panic, but couldn't move.

Soon, a little girl walked over and picked her up.

She took the Froggy doll back to her house and began playing games.

One of those games led to Froggy's head being taken off, and the shock of that woke her

up.

Number 8 was Submitted by some-dead-guy Hellbent In 9th grade, Hellbent worked out every morning.

One day, he had a dream that he was trying to do push ups, but every time he would go

down, a little monkey would run in to put a tiny chick under him.

Hellbent didn't want to hurt it, so he would go back up.

When he did, the monkey would grab the chick and run away.

Then when he'd go down again, the monkey would come back.

This went on for about five minutes.

Then the monkey ran away again, only to come back with a cake.

Hellbent woke up very confused.

He stopped working out after that.

Number 7 was Submitted by MichaelJCaboose0804 Tolop

Tolop was in his school's band, and had a dream that the band was going to Mexico for

a concert.

For some reason, his friend saw it as the perfect chance to smuggle cocaine INTO Mexico,

which doesn't even make sense.

He wanted Tolop's help, and without a second thought, Tolop accepted.

They hid their stash in several clarinet cases.

That made sense to him at the time, but he later figured out he could have used one tuba

case.

In his dream, a bus ride from Washington to Mexico is about ten minutes.

But they didn't even get to complete their smuggling operation.

Tolop woke up just as they reached the border.

Number 6 was Submitted by weirdlife-story SweetCommando

When SweetCommando was 14 years old, he dreamed that he was an army dude going on a mission.

But his mission was a bit unusual.

It was to go and rescue a cell phone that had been dropped in a toilet.

When he woke up, he found himself asleep on the toilet with his phone dropped in it.

That was not one of his better days.

Number 5 was Submitted by WWDMMax Dolan In Dolan's dream, robots had taken over the

world, Terminator-style.

Dolan's dad came to him, telling him that their family cat was the key to saving humankind.

His dad didn't tell him WHY, but she was the key to the survival of humans, and Dolan had

to protect her.

As he was carrying the lazy, fat cat that was somehow humankind's salvation, he randomly

found himself snowboarding!

This itself was strange, as he had never been snowboarding before.

He got off the board and scurried into a treehouse that resembled a church.

There, he was told that he somehow saved humankind.

Even in the context of his dream, he was totally baffled.

Number 4 was Submitted by Elf_Pyro Andiemations Andiemations once had a dream where she was

in a train station sitting on a bench.

When she heard the train come, she got scared and hid under the bench.

But when she looked at the bottom of the bench, there were centipedes and spiders crawling

all over it.

Then when she looked at the train, it was Thomas the tank engine, which for some reason

made her even more scared!

She had the dream again but instead of Thomas it was Percy.

Still scary.

Number 3 was Submitted by MuffinTime0630 SaltySquid SaltySquid had a dream where a giant banana

grabbed him and ate him.

Just swallowed him whole, for no reason at all.

While he was in the giant banana's stomach, a small banana walked towards him and asked,

"how do you like being eaten?" over and over again.

It got so annoying SaltySquid just broke down and decided to eat the small banana.

When he ate the small banana, he woke up.

Number 2 was Submitted by StarryCroissant Doopie

Doopie had a dream as a teenager where she was playing a Nintendogs-esque pet simulator

on a Game Boy Advance.

Doopie's pet was a little brown dog.

His health meter, went down every second.

Doopie didn't know how to play, and there were only 3 or 4 hearts on the screen, so

she didn't know what she needed to do to get his health back up.

When his health ran out, the screen flashed red before fading to a fuzzy image of the

grim reaper holding the dog's disembodied head.

Years later, Doopie found out about a game called Can Your Pet?

In it, you take care of a baby chick.

Just like her dream, the food and water bars drop quickly.

And clicking on the bike seems like it would give the chick exercise, but it actually turns

out to be a grinder and it kills the chick.

Then you're forced to look at a series of pictures of miserable or cooking chickens

as the credits scroll.

The game reminded her of her dream from years earlier – about a simplistic pet simulator

with meters that go down too fast, a lack of instructions, and a bloody death sequence

to make the player feel guilty for unintentionally letting their pet die.

is considered to be the biggest and richest temple in India

Only Hindus are allowed into it

And before going in all footwear must be off

One of India's biggest festival - Laksha Deepam

takes place here once every 6 years

Under its chambers

There is a treasure of approx. 18 billion dollars

Amount gathered over time by the royal family

They're really honest here

Any other touristic place

They would probably take advantage of tourists

And probably rip us off!

today we will talk about a subject that looks like science fiction, what are the black holes

this idea of black holes begins in the years 1915

What is the year that the famous physicist Albert Einstein published his most famous work

What is the theory of general relativity?

predicted that if a star had so much mass it could tear the tissue out of space

This gravity would be so intense that matter would be compressed to a size zero

It would have an infinite density thus generating a singularity in the fabric of time space

a singularity is a singular thing, that is, there is nothing like it

this singularity generates a black hole

that is, black holes generate from very massive stars that collapsed

These stars tear the fabric of space

And they create singularities that would be like holes in space

this distortion of space is so sharp that not even the light traveling 300,000 kilometers per second

can escape this distortion, so the black holes are black

because even the light can not escape them

and already how space and time are interconnected if we twist the space we also distort the time

so next to a black hole time dilates until it basically stops

the center of a black hole is a singularity is a region so peculiar to space

that our laws of physics stop working

Quasars are much more abundant in ancient times of the universe

formerly the universe was smaller and denser

so the probability of a black hole turning into a quasar was much greater

our solar system is one light year in diameter, that is, there used to be 300 black holes in that space

They only had some differences between size, mass and rotation

that is, there is a high probability that one black hole is exactly the same as another

they have no hair differences, black holes would be like fundamental particles

which only has some different characteristics

such as mass, rotation and electromagnetic charge

one of the most famous theoretical physicists on the subject black holes

It's Stephen Hawking who is currently 76 years old.

and realized that the black holes are not so black so they emit radiation

there is a physical law called the second law of thermodynamics

she says that entropy always tends to increase

that is, if matter fell into a black hole

the entropy of a black hole should increase

grossly entropy is disorder in a system

the heat is roughly entropy

So if the matter falls into a black hole

and increases its entropy, so its temperature should increase

A black hole should then have a temperature and give off heat

others like Stephen Hawking himself say that it disappears along with the black hole

This is an extremely interesting topic.

however he has some additions and caveats

the first is that astronomers have never taken a definitive picture of a black hole

they have always detected black holes by indirect observations

that is, stars orbiting places that there was nothing

Hawking radiation to date has not been detected

This video is all about St. Patrick's Day in Dublin. So if you're looking for local advice for your next trip to Dublin for St. Paddy's Day, this is the video for you!

I'm Veru, an Italian living in Dublin and in this video I'll give you some tips on how to plan and enjoy your trip to Dublin for st. Patrick's Day.

Let me clear. Dublin at St. Patrick's is super confused and confusing!

That's just a joke! For us, locals, it can be hard but for tourists is a dream! (and it is for us, as well, since it's big big celebration of all things Irish!)

There are many hotels in Dublin and sometimes choosing can be hard. At St. Patrick's the hotels are completely booked and they cost also a bit more than the usual

That's why I suggest you book an accommodation a bit far from the city centre.

The main areas where "things" happen around the 17th of March are, in fact, Temple Bar and the city centre

But can you imagine how chaotic the entire area can be? People around day and night, music, chaos. Are you sure you wanna suffer?

and do not forget: prices in the city centre can be crazy!

For this reason I suggest you avoid the areas around Temple Bar, Grafton Street and Parnell.

And instead, I suggest you choose the surrounding areas, close to the center but not too crowded.

If you move from the city center, you'll find many more hotels and accommodation and even if you'll end up paying the same amount (or even more) at least you'll sleep!

You can walk around Dublin, take public transports or a taxi: no need for a car, especially at St. Patrick, trust me!

The week of the 17th of March is one of the busiest of the year and having a car is seriously annoying and useless.

That's why I suggest you walk or take a cab or use public transports

If you decide to use public transports, make sure you buy a Leap Card for Tourists (link in the box below)

You can buy it at the airport, recharge and use on every single public transport for the entire duration of your trip. Easy and super useful!

Since there are many many people around those days, I suggest you walk a lot (and i this way you'll see also the city!)

The main event of the 17th of March is the St. Patrick's Parade

The parade always starts at about 12pm and the starting point is always the same location

The main starting point is, in fact, behind Parnell Square

I suggest you go there to watch the Parade so to avoid the multitude of people and have a look at the backstage as well

How to dress at St. Patrick's Day? Green is mandatory (even if at the very beginning everything was BLUE!)

The weather is particularly strange in Ireland and Dublin so you can have 4 seasons in one day (or also in 1 hour!)

With rain most of the time

I suggest you dress in layers

Waterproof shoes (and comfortable as well, since you'll have to stand for quite a while)

Waterproof and warm coat, preferably with a removable pile in case you don't need it and a hoodie

DO NOT BRING AN UMBRELLA WITH YOU! It could be useful but usually, there's also wind so the umbrella can be really really annoying

What happens after the Parade?

At St. Patrick's Day, before and after the Parade people go to the pub.

The majority of the pubs open earlier in the morning and they become full pretty quickly!

You can decide to watch the Parade on the street or in the pub

Many pubs also allow people to go inside and watch the parade at the television

Many pubs offer Irish live music but it's mostly the beer to occupy the main stage.

So if you don't like music, chaos, people DON'T go to a pub at St. Patrick's Day!

But if you wanna go to a pub, you need to follow at least one rule

YOU DON'T GO TO A PUB IF YOU DON'T DRINK (NOT NECESSARILY BEER OR ALCOHOL!)

If you go to a pub, you need to order something

If you're with a group of people, every single person of the group has to drink something. Again: not necessarily alcoholic!

People offering you live music and people working in a pub, deserve to be paid by their customers.

And the way to pay these people is by buying a drink if you stop by to listen to some music.

Prices are something you need to consider when planning your trip to Dublin!

Dublin is not a cheap place and prices can be very high. There are many things to do but you need to spend money.

And of course St. Patrick's Day makes everything more expensive.

The area around Temple Bar, where the majority of tourists are, can be super expensive.

You can also pay a pint 9 euro (2018)

I suggest you to move from that area to less crowded and touristic places (leave a comment and I'll suggest a few places!)

I'd say avoid the Temple Bar area (but as a local for me I think it's easy to say!)

I know it's pretty hard for a tourist

So if you wanna stay in the Temple Bar area, be prepared: you can end up paying a lot for having food, drinks and fun.

What's the story with the St. Patrick's Day Gadgets?

I know you guys love to buy green and orange accessories to be used during St. Patrick's Day.

I'd love to stop you but I know this is part of the fun (even if it's almost only for tourists!)

So if you wanna buy green stuff, you can find gadgets everywhere in Dublin

Usually Carroll's is the main choice for tourists

Carroll's is the main souvenir shop in Dublin and Ireland and sell everything for Paddy's Day (quite expensive)

Just so you know: you don't need anything to celebrate, just a big big smile!

Where to go for cheap gadgets?

(Here I'm complaining about the gadget. Sorry about that! :O))

Penney's is the choice if you want gadgets but you don't want to spend a lot of money

In Dublin there's a vast choice of food and drink... and you'll find some great St. Patrick's Day offers!

Make sure you try the Green Guinness (which is just a normal Guinness with a splash of green)

Not every pub sells it, but probably in the Temple Bar area it will be easy to find.

Last but not least: be ready to have a lot of fun!

Make sure you smile, you have fun, you are not afraid of being photographed and to take pictures.

Don't give a S**T (but always be polite and respectful!)

Sing, dance, dance, sing. Make new friends

Enjoy the celebrations a lot 'cause this is one of the best things to do in life, at least once.

Despite it's a celebration where tourists are the majority of the population, it's something unmissable

Enjoy and make sure you experience a bit of the famous irish hospitality!

The blank spoke about the speculations to Brisbane radio station

But he totally understands. Why fans want to see their loved characters back?

He continued telling the radio station. I understand that people really want to see that reunion

Dolan Crew re-enacts some of the best true stories from our subreddit about our weirdest

dreams.

I'm Melissa, and today, I'll be your narrator.

Number 10 was Submitted by A_Toxic_Melody Grgak

Grgak had a dream where he was trying to impress Vladmir Putin so he could go to space.

And throughout the dream, Putin was slowly turning into Kim Jong Un.

Grgak and a bunch of cool-looking teens that belonged in a 80's sitcom were playing paint

ball with Putin, and he was like "hey man, you're some pretty chill dudes, you can go

to space."

So Grgak got a jank-looking space suit, and went to the space station.

The space ship turned out to be a huge ceramic piñata with a pentagram on it.

Soon, common sense kicked in, and Grgak realized he probably shouldn't be hanging out with

communist leaders, nor getting into a demonic ceramic piñata space ship with a bunch of

80s sitcom characters.

So he said to Putin, who now looked more like Kim, "Look man, I've thought about it, I don't

want to go to space."

Kim said, "K," then all the other people turned into cats, and apparently that was as far

as his imagination could go, so then he woke up.

Number 9 was Submitted by RellinMurDeath Froggy The weirdest dream Froggy ever had was when

she was walking to a friend's house.

She was halfway there when all of a sudden, she turned into a doll and fell to the ground.

She started to panic, but couldn't move.

Soon, a little girl walked over and picked her up.

She took the Froggy doll back to her house and began playing games.

One of those games led to Froggy's head being taken off, and the shock of that woke her

up.

Number 8 was Submitted by some-dead-guy Hellbent In 9th grade, Hellbent worked out every morning.

One day, he had a dream that he was trying to do push ups, but every time he would go

down, a little monkey would run in to put a tiny chick under him.

Hellbent didn't want to hurt it, so he would go back up.

When he did, the monkey would grab the chick and run away.

Then when he'd go down again, the monkey would come back.

This went on for about five minutes.

Then the monkey ran away again, only to come back with a cake.

Hellbent woke up very confused.

He stopped working out after that.

Number 7 was Submitted by MichaelJCaboose0804 Tolop

Tolop was in his school's band, and had a dream that the band was going to Mexico for

a concert.

For some reason, his friend saw it as the perfect chance to smuggle cocaine INTO Mexico,

which doesn't even make sense.

He wanted Tolop's help, and without a second thought, Tolop accepted.

They hid their stash in several clarinet cases.

That made sense to him at the time, but he later figured out he could have used one tuba

case.

In his dream, a bus ride from Washington to Mexico is about ten minutes.

But they didn't even get to complete their smuggling operation.

Tolop woke up just as they reached the border.

Number 6 was Submitted by weirdlife-story SweetCommando

When SweetCommando was 14 years old, he dreamed that he was an army dude going on a mission.

But his mission was a bit unusual.

It was to go and rescue a cell phone that had been dropped in a toilet.

When he woke up, he found himself asleep on the toilet with his phone dropped in it.

That was not one of his better days.

Number 5 was Submitted by WWDMMax Dolan In Dolan's dream, robots had taken over the

world, Terminator-style.

Dolan's dad came to him, telling him that their family cat was the key to saving humankind.

His dad didn't tell him WHY, but she was the key to the survival of humans, and Dolan had

to protect her.

As he was carrying the lazy, fat cat that was somehow humankind's salvation, he randomly

found himself snowboarding!

This itself was strange, as he had never been snowboarding before.

He got off the board and scurried into a treehouse that resembled a church.

There, he was told that he somehow saved humankind.

Even in the context of his dream, he was totally baffled.

Number 4 was Submitted by Elf_Pyro Andiemations Andiemations once had a dream where she was

in a train station sitting on a bench.

When she heard the train come, she got scared and hid under the bench.

But when she looked at the bottom of the bench, there were centipedes and spiders crawling

all over it.

Then when she looked at the train, it was Thomas the tank engine, which for some reason

made her even more scared!

She had the dream again but instead of Thomas it was Percy.

Still scary.

Number 3 was Submitted by MuffinTime0630 SaltySquid SaltySquid had a dream where a giant banana

grabbed him and ate him.

Just swallowed him whole, for no reason at all.

While he was in the giant banana's stomach, a small banana walked towards him and asked,

"how do you like being eaten?" over and over again.

It got so annoying SaltySquid just broke down and decided to eat the small banana.

When he ate the small banana, he woke up.

Number 2 was Submitted by StarryCroissant Doopie

Doopie had a dream as a teenager where she was playing a Nintendogs-esque pet simulator

on a Game Boy Advance.

Doopie's pet was a little brown dog.

His health meter, went down every second.

Doopie didn't know how to play, and there were only 3 or 4 hearts on the screen, so

she didn't know what she needed to do to get his health back up.

When his health ran out, the screen flashed red before fading to a fuzzy image of the

grim reaper holding the dog's disembodied head.

Years later, Doopie found out about a game called Can Your Pet?

In it, you take care of a baby chick.

Just like her dream, the food and water bars drop quickly.

And clicking on the bike seems like it would give the chick exercise, but it actually turns

out to be a grinder and it kills the chick.

Then you're forced to look at a series of pictures of miserable or cooking chickens

as the credits scroll.

The game reminded her of her dream from years earlier – about a simplistic pet simulator

with meters that go down too fast, a lack of instructions, and a bloody death sequence

to make the player feel guilty for unintentionally letting their pet die.

6 Supplements That Might Actually Help You - Duration: 10:54.

Supplements are super popular.

One recent survey estimates that more than half of Americans use them, and we spend billions

of dollars on them each year.

The truth is, though, most people don't need any supplements, unless they're deficient

in a vitamin or mineral.

And even if they are, they should probably switch up their diet instead of buying pills

or powders.

That's because when these chemicals are eaten in food, your body can absorb and use

them better.

Plus, it's much harder to overdose.

A surprising number of supplements have actually been shown to hurt us.

In fact, every year, about 23,000 Americans head to ERs because of adverse reactions.

All that being said, there are a few supplements — in the right situations — that might

be worth it.

Before you take anything, though, you should definitely talk to a doctor, who will look

at your personal situation and help you make an informed choice.

We're not doctors.

So, that being said, here are 6 supplements that scientific research seems to give a green

light to.

At least… in some cases.

One of the clear winners in the supplement world is one that might look kinda sketchy,

since it's all over bodybuilding powders and energy bars.

But creatine is the real deal.

It's a molecule that you naturally make in your liver and kidney, and mostly store

in your muscles.

And besides workout supplements, you can get it from foods like beef and fish.

Not everyone responds to extra creatine, but studies have shown that many people see improvements

in sports that require short bursts of power, like sprinting.

People can run faster, lift heavier weights, and build more muscle.

Creatine can also help with muscle recovery from intense workouts, but doesn't seem

to help with endurance sports, like long-distance running or swimming.

Scientists think that the extra creatine gets modified by your body and helps make the main

molecule that cells use for energy: ATP.

That extra available energy lets muscles work harder than they normally would, especially

in bursts.

Outside of weightlifting competitions, creatine also can help people with muscular dystrophy,

a genetic disease that causes progressive muscle loss and weakness.

These patients tend to have lower levels of natural creatine.

And, in certain forms of the disease, supplements increase muscle strength and let patients

go about their daily lives more easily.

Didn't think we'd mention a trendy juice, did you?

But beet, or beetroot, juice seems to actually do something!

It's made from beets — no shocker here.

And in multiple studies, researchers have found that it can improve athletic performance,

specifically for aerobic sports, like running or swimming.

While the juice has a lot of potentially good stuff in it, scientists think the part that's

most beneficial for exercise is the nitrate.

Beets are chock full of it, and our bodies will turn it into nitric oxide, which triggers

blood vessels to get wider.

This allows more blood to flow, so more oxygen gets to your muscles.

Your muscles use oxygen to break down food to create energy to contract.

So, with more oxygen around, you don't tire out as quickly.

At least, that's the working theory.

For those same reasons, beet juice might also help lower blood pressure.

If you drink a lot, though, just be prepared for some pink or red pee.

Now, like we said, you typically don't need supplements unless you have a deficiency,

so there's no real good reason to take multivitamins.

And non-food antioxidants generally don't help either.

But there is one exception, for people with age-related macular degeneration, or AMD.

People with this condition are usually over the age of 50.

They slowly lose their vision, because of damage to the macula, which is the central

part of the retina — the light-sensitive cells at the back of your eye.

The basic idea is that because cells in the retina absorb light, which can excite electrons

and create reactive molecules called free radicals, they could get damaged.

So antioxidants, which sop up free radicals, might help.

And some of the most familiar vitamins, including vitamin C and E, are antioxidants.

There's been quite a bit of scientific debate and lots of clinical trials to pin down which

vitamins and antioxidants are actually helpful.

The general consensus is that certain combinations do work well enough to slow the progression

of AMD.

They don't prevent eye damage, but slowing it down is still good.

You've probably heard about this one, but it's worth mentioning because it's one

of the few cases where we have pretty indisputable evidence that a supplement does some good.

Folic acid, or folate, is a B vitamin — B9 to be exact.

Vitamins are compounds that your body needs to work and grow that you can't make on

your own, so you have to get them from somewhere else, like food.

Specifically, folic acid is important for making red blood cells, and thymine and cytosine,

two of the four bases that make up DNA.

If that sounds kind of important, let me assure you: it is.

You can't make new cells without it.

So, while everyone needs folic acid, pregnant people really need it, because they're rapidly

growing a whole new human inside them.

That means the usual folic acid that we eat, either naturally in leafy vegetables and other

foods, or in fortified things like breakfast cereal, may not be enough.

Doctors advise pregnant people to take folic acid supplements, both before and during the

pregnancy.

Without enough folic acid, they can develop anemia, or too few healthy red blood cells.

That can mean their tissues don't get enough oxygen, making them tired.

And deficiencies can affect the baby's growth too, since they're getting the vitamin from

their parent.

Not enough folic acid can cause a neural tube defect early in development, which can be

serious.

In one defect, known as spina bifida, the baby's spinal column doesn't close all

the way, which can damage nerves and sometimes leaves kids paralyzed.

In another, called anencephaly, the baby doesn't fully develop its brain or skull.

Most of these babies die before or just after birth.

Melatonin is sometimes marketed as a cure-all for sleep-related problems.

Its track record is a little spotty, but studies have found small benefits in certain cases.

It may be most useful for people who have abnormal or disrupted circadian rhythms — like

people with jet-lag, night shifts, or a condition called delayed sleep phase syndrome, which

is when your biological clock is perpetually several hours behind.

And that's because melatonin is a hormone that helps control our cycling in and out

of sleep.

As it gets later and dark outside, the pineal gland in your brain starts to release the

hormone, and it binds to receptors deep in the brain to help usher you into dreamland.

So when your body isn't naturally making melatonin — like if you've changed time

zones — taking some could help 'reset' your internal clock, and let you get more

rest than you otherwise would.

And some studies support this idea, while others find barely any improvement.

Also, melatonin might help people with insomnia fall asleep faster, and increase the total

amount of time they sleep.

It's typically only about 10 extra minutes, though… and in some experiments, those gains

aren't there.

Last year, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine even revised its guidelines to say that they

don't recommend melatonin for insomnia.

Although they also admit that's based on relatively weak evidence.

So the scientific community isn't positive about this one.

Part of the problem is that even though melatonin is relatively well studied, researchers have

tested different dosages at different times and for different things.

So we can't be too confident about what it can do.

The other big thing worth mentioning is that even though people may use melatonin like

a drug, basically to treat or prevent a condition, the FDA doesn't classify it as one.

So it's regulated in the US like a supplement.

Which basically means... it's not very regulated.

A study published in 2017 found that 70% of melatonin supplements have 10% more or less

melatonin in them than their labels say, with some falling in a enormously wide range.

The supplements can also have other things that aren't listed on the label, like the

neurotransmitter serotonin.

And this could get dangerous, like too much serotonin can lead to overactive nerves and

a bunch of potentially severe symptoms, like seizures.

Last but not least is one of the oldest supplements in the world: St. John's wort.

The saintly name comes from the fact that the plant's yellow flowers bloom around

the birthday, and feast day, of John the Baptist.

It's been used for lots of maladies, going back at least to the ancient Greeks.

But it's most famous for its effects on mood.

Modern scientists think that's because of the chemical hyperforin.

Hyperforin prevents neurons from taking up certain neurotransmitters, like serotonin,

norepinephrine, and dopamine, which leaves more of them in synapses between cells.

Scientists aren't sure why this helps, but having more of these neurotransmitters around

may let neurons communicate better, and strengthen the circuits in the brain responsible for

controlling mood.

Many standard antidepressants do the same basic thing, even if their mechanisms are

slightly different.

Now, St. John's wort has been tested in multiple placebo-controlled trials.

These are clinical trials in which some people get the substance being tested, and others

get a placebo, like a sugar pill.

That way, researchers can tell if a drug or supplement does anything.

And those experiments showed that it helped people with mild to moderate depression.

The best case for St. John's wort is a 2008 meta-analysis that included 29 different studies.

It concluded that the supplement does better than a placebo and is just as effective as

standard antidepressants, but with fewer side effects.

But that meta-analysis also included a lot of studies from Germany, where St. John's

wort is popular and tends to do well in trials.

And other studies, especially those outside Germany, have sometimes failed to see St.

John's wort doing much more than a placebo.

Regular antidepressants sometimes fail in those same tests too, though.

So really, it goes to show how strong the placebo effect can be.

A huge downside of St. John's wort is that it interacts with a lot of other drugs and

makes them less effective — like HIV antiretrovirals, birth control, and organ transplant rejection

drugs.

And we're not even close to listing them all.

Researchers think hyperforin triggers the liver to make more of an enzyme that breaks

down certain medicines, so you go through them more quickly.

And you most definitely should not combine St. John's wort with other antidepressants,

because those drugs can also increase serotonin levels, which can lead to a serotonin overdose.

Because of other mechanisms, St. John's wort can also make you more sensitive to the

sun, and it can lead to miscarriages, so pregnant people should avoid it.

Not to mention, some people are straight-up allergic.

So even the best-of-the-best supplements come with some pretty huge caveats, or are very

specific to certain people.

And… that's the biggest lesson here.

In recent years, study after study has debunked any benefit from a lot of supplements that

we assumed were good.

So, unless you work out a specific plan with a medical expert, resist the urge to pop vitamins

and botanicals to get healthier.

Usually, you're better off without them.

while her husband was president started to slip away at the end of his second term as

their eviction dated neared.

Every chance she got to make disparaging remarks about the country, she took, which has been

a habit that's only gotten worse in her post-presidential life.

Dr. Lauren A. Wright, PhD, who is director of investor relations at NV5 Global, Inc.

and a member of the White House Transition Project, shed some light on why Michelle did

this as result of what she unofficially diagnosed her with.

Why is First Lady Michelle Obama suddenly appearing so many places disparaging the country

in the last days of her husband's presidency?

Dr. Lauren A. Wright, PhD, who is director of investor relations at NV5 Global, Inc.

and a member of the White House Transition Project, recently wrote a book entitled, "On

Behalf of the President: Presidential Spouses and White House Communications Strategy Today."

Wright diagnosed Mrs. Obama's recent behavior.

She has become an attack dog in an effort to help Obama build his legacy as the last

days of his presidency slip away.

"She's in legacy building mode.

She doesn't have to worry about the implications [of her remarks] for months to come," Wright

said.

"This is the time she's most free to say what she feels, what she believes, and what

she wants the message to be for the public."

As First Lady, Obama has given more public speeches and indulged more appearances than

any First Lady in history, Wright reported in her book.

"I think what surprises and upsets people most often is that first ladies give more

public remarks than vice presidents, and that's been true over the last three administrations,"

she wrote.

Of her biggest, and most disturbing claims she made in her campaign of hate against the

country was that America is a racist nation, who needed her husband in office and that

she's now suffering a feeling of "hopelessness" with Trump in office.

Doubling down on that disrespectful sentiment is that she said she was never proud of America

until her husband got elected to the White House.

It's ironic how Michelle says Barrack was successful in inspiring hope in the nation

after everyone overwhelmingly voted Trump in, desperate for the hope his predecessor

promised and failed to deliver on.

The best case of revenge was how miserably she failed at building her legacy and trying

to save it in the final days, especially now, that Trump just took the final sledgehammer

to her most beloved project.

After her disastrous lunch program crumbled around her and even her biggest supporters

were critical of the changes she made to school meals, her nemesis, Trump, came in and reversed

all she had done.

He then topped it off by giving kids back their chocolate milk that she had ridiculously

robbed them of.

about our country she's more than profited off of:

So, Michelle is out there claiming that we are all racists and with Trump taking the

White House the nation is in a state of hopelessness.

This coming from someone who said she was never proud of America until her Muslim, racist

pathetic husband was elected.

Hey lady, I hate to break it to you but your 'husband' has destroyed America and has

left the entire planet in a complete state of chaos.

The only reason he was elected is because he is black.

The truth of her desperate attempt to make America and President Trump look bad before

she left was nothing more than a temper-tantrum by this entitled woman, who knew that Trump

was actually about to bring real hope back and in doing so prove what a failure his predecessor

really was.

Mass Optimizer Review & Custom Bonuses - Duration: 11:20.

Hi there, Kevin Barham, all the way from snowy Ireland. I've got a review for you

today on a piece of software for adding metadata to images to give yourself an

advantage in the search engines. So I'm going to head over to my computer as

soon as I get back in and I'll show you exactly what I'm talking about. See you

in a minute.

Okay, so the software that I was talking about is Mass Optimizer and

what it does is, it gives you the opportunity to bulk optimize your

metadata in your images - and if you're wondering what that is, I'll show you.

If I go to an image I'll just pick any image and if I right click on it I can

then come down to the bottom and select properties and then if I go into the

details you'll see that there's other information here title which, unless you

do this, will be empty. Subject is empty. Rating it's on nothing at the moment

but you could have five-star rating. Tags where you could input keywords, up to 9

and comments where you could put in your NAP, the name address and phone of

a business if you're trying to do it for local or where you could put in your

keywords if you're doing affiliate marketing or some such thing as that

So you'll add all your content in here and that can then be indexed by Google

Now Google don't say categorically that they do use it but people say, "well you

know, it's an extra ranking opportunity". Well I was looking at this software

because I was interested in using it because I do an awful lot of work with

images where I am changing metadata manually. Now you can do... I could

select a group of these and I could right click and go to properties and

then Mass Edit all of them, but the data would be the same across all of them

So that wouldn't be very good. So in contrast what you really want is unique

content and that's what this tool promises and so I'm going to show you

the tool quickly here. You've got the opportunity to select your image or

image folder. So if you had a folder with hundreds of images in you can just

select the folder, add in your keywords, making sure that you've got sufficient

keywords, keyword variations, to cover the number of images that

you're optimizing and an output folder so it will then optimize those images using

random combinations of your keywords. It's absolutely brilliant, but I was

wondering, having read about Google and do they use that data? And so I thought,

well I'll go and check - so what I did was I went to Google and I searched for this

phrase "bulk image optimization and geotag software" You'll see why I chose

that in a moment but what I did was I searched for that and you can see Mass

Optimizer, which is his software, is number one, two, three and four if you

count Facebook, but you'll also see here that they've got images ranking on the

first page of Google as well. This one in particular, we can click on it there

and I could show you it or we can go through to Google images and you'll see it

is indeed number one in Google Image Search as well - so if I click on this

(excuse me) there's the image. I'm going to download this image, so I'm going to

right click and 'save image as' and I'll just pop that here. You can see the file

name it's not the phrase that I put in the 'bulk' with the 'geotag' and everything

so I'm gonna save that and then, of course, this is giving you a link through

to your asset whether it be a full website or a youtube video or anything

you can be linking through to that, of course, with this

method and you'll see that, if I just remind you what we're doing, I searched

for this "bulk image optimization" etc this is the number one image. I've downloaded

that image which is here and as you can see the keyword phrase, that we searched,

isn't in the file name. If I go through to the page that it's on you'll see, there's

the image there, if I look at this image I'm going to inspect it (right-click and

inspect) and I can see that, there we go, there's the image filename, the alt text

is different to the keyword phrase that I was looking at, as is the title. So that

keyword phrase, that I searched, isn't anywhere in the image filename, alt text or

title text - so where is it and why are they showing that image? And the answer is

it's in the metadata and I'll show you... this is the image I just downloaded. I'm

going to right click and I'm going to go to properties. I'm gonna go to details

and here you've got these words appearing but very specifically if I go

into the comments, here is the exact phrase that I just searched, so that is

absolute proof that Google is using that data to index images, so a very good reason

to use it. So that's that out of the way, the next thing I wanted to talk about

is a couple of bonuses that I've got for you on the sales page over here and

Clive McGonigle is doing the sales presentation on behalf of Lloyd, and I

can't remember his name. Isn't it dreadful. I've got it written down here

Lloyd Farrell. Lloyd, I do apologize sorry. So Clive is launching Lloyd's product

here and if you look on the sales page there's a bit here where it's talking

about WordPress where you can re-optimize images

and so when I read this I thought perhaps there was going to be a

wordpress plug-in included to do that on the fly. There's not. I believe they are

trying to work on some easy solution where you can do it for images

that are already on your WordPress website - but in the meantime the solution

is to connect to your host using an FTP client like FileZilla (which is free) and

to then download each folder, because you can do each folder at a time. You'd have

to understand the WordPress folder structure as well but, you download each

folder and you'd optimize it and then you'd upload it and so bonus number one

I'm actually creating a tutorial for you, (sorry my battery just warned me). I'm

producing a tutorial showing you how to do that exact process. How to get

FileZilla, install it and then how to connect to your host using FTP then

how to bring the images down, what to do with them, and how to put them back, just

so that you can't make any errors. Because, even if you don't buy through my

link, and you won't get those bonuses, I do want to give you a quick

warning about WordPress. If you decide to do this on your own, you download all

those images.. Do not, under any circumstances, select the option here in

the software which says, 'Renamed images as Keyword'. Because if you rename your

images, even slightly, it will break the link that is held in the database for

WordPress to display that image in the correct place. So, under no circumstances

rename images that are already on your WordPress website. It's fine to do new

images that you're going to upload and I would suggest you do that, so that you

get keyword rich titles etc with all the metadata - but don't do it on old

images. The Second bonus that I've got for you

is keyword research. It's absolutely essential when you're using this

software that you come up with lots of alternative keywords for your product

niche, whatever it is that you're targeting and sometimes you can be

struggling to do that so there's a couple of free keyword tools that I'm

going to introduce you to and I'm gonna walk you through how to put in your seed

keyword and then come up with alternatives that you can use in this

process for optimizing your images. So I think that's basically it... one other

thing I will just say actually, thinking about it, there are no upsells with this

product but it is on launched at the moment for the next couple of days so if

your going to get it get it now because afterwards, this is a one-time fee now

but I think it's going up to an annual fee which doesn't bother me generally

because it means they're gonna continue to develop the software which is great

but if you buy now is a one-time fee and your benefit from ongoing further development

Price for Pro is $67 and the price for lite is $47 and the difference

is that the Lite just does images and the Pro does images and video. Now I

think I'm right in saying that if you're doing video for youtube then obviously

you put in all the appropriate metadata in the YouTube interface, so you wouldn't

do this but you would use this of course to optimize your YouTube video

thumbnails to make sure that that's all optimized so those are things. No upsells.

There's FAQs down here at the bottom that you can read and understand. It is

Windows software, you can run it on a Mac if you're running parallels
