Youtube daily report w Mar 5 2017

Nepal is a beautiful landlocked country

where seven of the highest mountain peaks

can be found. Nepal is not only beautiful for its

incredible scenery, but because for its people.

The Nepali people are generous, kind and resilient.

On the 25th of April 2015

the Nepali people's resilience

was truly challenged; a devastating earthquake

ripped through Nepal. Families lost loved ones,

communities lost houses and schools, and some

people lost everything but hope. I stayed up until

1:00am in the morning, researching what can I do and

then the very next day I had two

meetings with university staff; within five

days we ended up raising over $500,

a week later we raised another $1000

and I am extremely happy to say that within seven

months we raised over $11000.

We were able to help thousands of

Nepali people throughout Nepal during this earthquake relief time. So I started to think,

my goal is to have The Help Nepal Appeal to become about empowerment

and sustainability

I didn't want to just give resources

anymore but to do so amongst an

empowering and sustainable program

where we can help communities to become independent and

not dependent on our help so one day we can one day

leave and these communities will

keep flourishing. The Help Nepal Appeal is a social platform, that brings

people internationally as well as nationally

together, to work as a team and to help in locations that

really need help. The ones in rural locations. We rely

completely on social media; the team and I, our goals for social media is to

increase our Facebook likes to increase

the followers on Instagram and to bring

more people to our website, because we want to

show the power of storytelling, the power

of simply connecting and to tell a story

and to be transparent.

We have also started a Special-Needs

Program in a rural village called Shishaghat. We want to empower the teacher and empower the community

to bring them together with our initiative called

The Student Leadership Council, to change the culture to help Special

Needs children in this village and to eventually be able to

spread and help Special Needs students around Nepal. Our goal is to be transparent, is to be storytellers and to

share our story and to help in places that

really need help. That is what THNA aims to do.

The Original 'Dream Team' Make Their Mark in Barcelona | Olympics On The Record - Duration: 6:16.

Summer, 1992.

Barcelona was all set.

Ready to welcome thousands of athletes and the world's media.

Ready for the biggest event it had ever hosted.

Ready for three weeks that would ultimately change the city forever.

Yep, Barcelona was ready for its very first Olympic Games.

But was it ready for the Dream Team?

The Dream Team - the finest collection of basketball players

ever assembled.

Superstars and superheroes, playing together on one team

for one reason and one reason only -

payback.

You see, despite the USA's dominance of Olympic basketball,

the Olympic Games in Seoul, 1988 hadn't exactly

gone according to plan.

Team America was used to winning at the Olympics,

particularly in basketball.

Especially in basketball.

Winning an Olympic bronze medal would represent

a landmark achievement for most athletes.

Not for the USA basketball team.

It was time to call in the cavalry.

How are the cavalry going to help?

If anything, they should call more basketball players.

When Team USA decided to get the NBA professionals involved,

it was Magic Johnson...

I couldn't pass up that opportunity.

It was the greatest moment of my life.

..who sensationally came out of retirement to answer the call,

and Boston Celtics' legend Larry Bird got on board first.

Other big names were quick to follow.

Scottie Pippen, one of the toughest defenders in the game.

John "The Pastey Gangster" Stockton - widely regarded

as one of the best point guards of all time.

The 14-time NBA all-star, Karl "Mailman" Malone.

New York Knicks' legend Patrick "The Warrior" Ewing,

who was coming off one of the best seasons of his career.

David "The Admiral" Robinson, who had played as an amateur

in the 1988 Olympics.

And the prolific Charles "The Round Mound of Rebound" Barkley,

an 11-time NBA All-Star.

But it was one player, the most successful and gifted of all,

who was one of the last to sign on -

Michael "Air" Jordan, at the summit of an extraordinary career.

In 1992, he was working towards his hat-trick of championships.

I never had the opportunity to play with Larry Bird,

never had the opportunity to play with Magic Johnson, Karl Malone,

Charles Barkley.

And while cynics would argue that a Mongolian fruit bat

would have been able to manage their interstellar collection

of talent, Chuck Daly, who was appointed coach,

was no slouch either, taking the Detroit Pistons

to back-to-back NBA titles a few years prior to Barcelona.

The question was not if they were going to win the Olympic gold,

it was more - by how many points would they crush the competition

on their inevitable swaggering stomp to victory?

It was like travelling with 12 rock stars.

They stayed in a luxury Barcelona hotel, instead of with the rest

of the athletes in the Olympic Village...

to work on their moves.

A-list off the court,

A-list on the court.

First up was Angola.

Team USA blew them away, winning by 68 points.

It wasn't about them being close.

We didn't want any close games.

We wanted to go out and just put it to them, to really show them

that we were the world's best.

Angola don't stand a chance!

He is on fire!

Team USA steam-rolled their way to the gold medal game,

beating every team by over 40 points en route.

Spain...

Puerto Rico...

Lithuania...

They scored 100 points in every game -

the first team in Olympic history to do so.

Coach Daly enjoyed the view from the touchline.

He didn't bother to call a single time out throughout

the competition - another first.

Rival teams had their moments.

They were trying, they really were.

But some players were more concerned about getting their photos taken

with their basketball heroes.

The gold medal match threatened an upset.

No, seriously, it really did.

Towards the end of the first quarter,

Croatia held a respectable lead.

And then the Dream Team found its groove.

Gotta make it interesting, right?

Jordan piled in with 22 points, his highest score of the tournament.

Seven American players scoring ten points or more.

They won all eight games, with an average winning margin

of 43.8 points.

The sporting success was followed by the commercial success.

The 1992 Dream Team triggered basketball's switch

from American enterprise to global marketing phenomenon.

Across the world, TV rights exploded.

Sneaker sales soared.

And international participation leapt.

The presence of these professional superstars

on the Olympic stage would be a game-changer,

bringing other sports into the Olympic family.

The Olympics Games would never be the same again.

And nor would basketball.

That's the highlight of my career. It always will be.

Zeiss Planar T ZE 50mm F1.4 vs Minolta MD Rokkor X 50mm F1.4 - Duration: 3:04.

In this video, we'll be comparing the

Zeiss Planar T ZE 50mm F1.4

with the Minolta MD Rokkor-X

50mm F1.4. The Zeiss ZE is a

little more modern than my Minolta but

both lenses are superbly built.

Let's take a look.

As we've already seen, Minolta lenses are

an incredible bargain when it comes to

price to performance. They're relatively

inexpensive and compete with some of the

best lenses out on the market. You can

expect to spend about $100

for a good Minolta Rokkor,

whereas the Zeiss Planar T ZE 50mm

F1.4 costs about $725

brand new and about $500 used.

Both lenses are built exceptionally

well. The Zeiss Planar T is built completely

out of metal which is a lot heavier and

bigger than the compact Minolta Rokkor made

out of both metal and plastic. The focus

rings on both lenses are incredibly

smooth but the Zeiss Planar T feels a

little bit better with a more even

resistance and longer throw. It's

important to note here that the Minolta

lens is entirely manual with an

adjustable aperture ring whereas the Zeiss

ZE lens that I'm using for this

comparison has an electronic aperture

adjustment. For this test, I used a Metabones

Canon EF to micro four-thirds speed

booster for the Zeiss Planar lens and

and a Fotasy Minolta MD to micro

four-thirds adapter for the Rokkor.

The Metabones adapter widens the focal

length 0.71 times, increases the maximum

aperture by one stop, and increases the

overall sharpness which should provide the

Zeiss lens with a significant advantage

over the Minolta MD. It's apparent from

my tests that the Planar ZE is much sharper

at wider apertures than the Minolta MD,

yet on every test the Minolta MD improves

dramatically at F2.8 and above and the

differences between the two lenses

become almost negligible.

I was really surprised to see the

significant improvement. Overall the

Zeiss Planar lens handles itself

much better in bright environments due to

its anti-flare coating on the front lens

element. This creates a much higher contrast

at wider apertures making the image appear

much sharper. Without an anti-flare

coating the Rokkor allows more light to

enter the lens creating less contrast

and a significant vignetting effect that

doesn't correct itself until stopped down

to F4 and above. Another thing to

consider is the bokeh produced by both lenses.

The Rokkor has six aperture blades as

opposed to the Zeiss's nine blades. Against

the right background and under proper

lighting conditions, you will not notice

a difference, but sometimes the Rokkor

can create hexagonal shapes within the

bokeh of an image.

Overall, the bokeh of the Zeiss lens appears

much smoother and more pleasing. I'd have

to say the the Zeiss Planar ZE seems to

perform much better overall than the Minolta

MD Rokkor. However, if it's not that

important to you to have a sharp lens

below F2.8, than the Minolta MD is a much

better investment in my opinion.

more about these lenses and as always

and tutorials from yours truly.

England is a country that is a part of the United Kingdom and shares land borders with Scotland to the north and Wales to the west.

The Industrial Revolution began in 18th-century England, transforming its society into the world's first industrialised nation.

England's terrain mostly comprises low hills and plains, especially in central and southern England.

Geographically England includes the central and southern two-thirds of the island of Great Britain, plus such offshore islands as the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly.

As the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, England was home to many significant inventors during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

With over 53 million inhabitants, England is by far the most populous country of the United Kingdom.

Christianity is the most widely practised religion in England as it has been since the Early Middle Ages.

The culture of England is defined by the idiosyncratic cultural norms of England and the English people.

England has a strong sporting heritage, and during the 19th century codified many sports that are now played around the world.

Will Cops Bug Out In Emergencies - Duration: 3:05.

will cops Bug Out in Emergencies

Can I depend on police in an emergency

will police help me

can I trust the Police

hi it's AlaskaGranny the other day one

of my friends asked me do you think cops

with bug out in a big emergency

situation can I trust the police and so I started wondering

about if the police would really help me have you ever been at work and

then some emergency happened

what was the first thing you thought

I need to get out of here I need to make

sure that my family is safe I need to

get home

those are just natural reactions of any

individual I want to be away from this

emergency I want to make

sure that myself and my family are safe

well law enforcement emt firefighters

and all of those types of people who

protect us during an emergency situation

are human too

I don't think they're going to run away

from their job but if they're not on

duty

they may not be in a big hurry to get to

their duty if there is rioting or a huge

storm look at some of the things that

happen in say for example New Orleans

after Hurricane Katrina it wasn't safe

for any body to go there if you were a

police officer would you leave the safety

of your home or your community to go

into a city where you probably don't

even live knowing that is a very

dangerous place and you may not even be

safe

personally or be able to protect anyone

else

one thing you need to think about is in

a large emergency situation where

things are very dangerous and are out of

control you need to make sure that you

have already made decisions on how you would

protect yourself if you are at home

make sure that you fortified your home

and you tightened it up so that the security

is the best that it can be

do you have a way to protect yourself if

you're away from your home and you are

at work do you know how to get to your

home and what decisions you would

make if you were threatened along the way

what if you're out in your car and

you're caught up in a civil unrest

situation or a terrible storm

do you have the things you need to take

care of yourself and even protect

yourself if there's no one else there

that can do it for you know that we're

all human and in times of emergency

people panic and they may not make the

best choices so you need to be prepared

ahead of time so that you do not panic

and you're able to take care of yourself

no matter what comes your way

Surviving Pollen Allergy Season - Duration: 3:54.

Hey, everybody. How's it going? If you are

living in the northern hemisphere, you

may start to notice signs of spring

approaching. If you are an allergy

sufferer that may bring with it some

unwanted symptoms.

I'm based in Tokyo, Japan, and we have

quite a problem with allergies related

to cedar trees that give off a lot of

pollen. There's a whole lot of them planted

in and around the city. It's a major

problem. I've always suffered from

pollen allergies even growing up in

Australia. Here's what I'll be doing

in terms of taking measures so that I

can maintain my productivity, continue

working out, and so on during this trying

time. If it wasn't for the pollen, I

tell you, I really love spring. Apart

from that, it's a beautiful season.

The first thing is these glasses

you see I'm wearing. These are actually

a kind of goggles . They have a special wall

that goes around the lens. It's not

perfectly airtight and you couldn't wear

them as swimming goggles. They wouldn't

be waterproof, but they do deflect

about 99% of pollen particles that would

otherwise irritate your eyes when

you're out and about. I bought these

and they're pretty good.

Another thing you can do, which is a very

common practice here in Japan, is wearing

a special mask which is designed to

filter out pollen. They look like a

surgical mask, basically, and a lot of

people wear them here. They don't look

cool, obviously, but they work. The

challenges when you're wearing one of

those marks with glasses is the steam

from your breath rises up into the glasses

and fogs up the lenses, so that's a

bit of a problem. You have

to make a choice; you go with the

mask or the goggles, whichever

is going to work best for you. I tend to

go with the goggles.

Another thing is I am keeping my

windows closed.

I would prefer to have fresh air, but

unfortunately it's a trade-off I have to

make during this season.

another thing is not hanging my clothes

outside, so that will hopefully avoid

them getting covered in a thin film of

pollen. You can buy these sprays.

They're basically alcohol-based sprays

and you can lay down your clothes, spray

on one side, flip them over, spray on the

other side, turn them inside-out, repeat,

and then hang them up. That will

hopefully mitigate the issue of them

developing a smell that they get from

drying too slowly indoors. I guess it's

caused by mold or something that you get

when closed indoors.

I also make sure to hang

up my coat in the entrance at my

apartment rather than bring it into the

main part, and bringing pollen with it.

Other than that, I'm just trying to

stay indoors, which again I don't like

because apart from the pollen issues

Spring is a beautiful season. Also, I am

taking some anti-allergy medicine which

I don't like. It gives me a dry throat

and thus the difficulties I'm having

speaking today. I'm just grinning and

bearing it.

Hope you're all doing well and if

you're suffering from allergies,

let us know how you deal with them.

Post a comment below. Thanks

always for watching.

Cheers.
