Youtube daily report Mar 24 2018

While automakers love to fit aggressive-looking rear wings to their cars, and often claim

that they help them stick to the pavement, the reality is that few street cars generate

much downforce.

The all-time champion was the Dodge Viper ACR, the sorta-streetable special that wowed

us at Lightning Lap a couple of years ago, and which we're told could generate up to

2000 pounds of downforce with its wing turned to its most aggressive angle.

More recently, McLaren has said that the upcoming street version of its Senna hypercar will

make up to 1764 pounds.

But now there's another member of this aero club in the considerably more svelte form

of the Dallara Stradale.

This wind-tunnel-tuned Italian lightweight can produce 881 pounds of downforce in its

standard form and a massive 1808 pounds when wearing its optional rear wing.

All while still being street legal—in Europe, at least.

HIGHS Brilliant steering, amazing downforce, makes

a McLaren seem common.

LOWS Doorless ingress and egress; low-rent engine

sound, obnoxious exhaust note; not homologated for the United States.

The Stradale is Dallara's first road car, and it may well be the only model the famous

Italian motorsports engineering concern ever sticks its name on.

Its creation was the result of company founder Giampaolo Dallara's long-held ambition to

make his "own" car.

Its finished form is elegant confirmation that, as Dallara himself told us last year,

despite having worked for both Enzo Ferrari and Ferruccio Lamborghini, his greatest engineering

hero has always been Colin Chapman.

There's something very Lotus-y about the finished Stradale; indeed, it bears a strong

similarity to the current Lotus 3-Eleven.We did a technical story on the Stradale when

its maker first showed it last year, and now we have driven it, both on some of the more

demanding roads of the Italian province of Lecce and also on the handling course of the

vast Nardò test track.

With or Without a Windshield While the basic Stradale is a windshield-less

barchetta, buyers will also be able to add optional weather protection in the form of

a heavily curved windshield reminiscent of a Group C racer (called the roadster configuration),

a central roof T-bar (the targa), and polycarbonate gullwing-opening "doors" (the coupe).

These can be added or removed by owners with minimal tools, as can the vast, carbon-fiber

wing that is also on the options list.

(It's anticipated that most buyers will spring for all four items.)

The two cars we drove in Italy were roadsters with the windshield but no roof bar or doors;

the track version also had the wing.

Fripperies are kept to a minimum.

The Stradale has no real doors, for instance, so climbing in means throwing a leg over the

low body side and onto the helpful STEP HERE legend at the seat's base before wriggling

behind the steering wheel.

The driving position could be politely described as cozy, with all but the shortest drivers

likely to have the adjustable pedal box and steering column moved to their most generous

positions.

The seat itself doesn't move.

Apart from some modest padding panels, pretty much every surface is carbon fiber.Power comes

from a version of the Ford Focus RS's EcoBoost turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-four.

Reworked by Bosch, it produces 395 horsepower when High Power mode is selected; it defaults

to a gentler 296 ponies at startup.

There's no shortage of performance in either mode, given the combination of the engine's

solid low-down torque and the Stradale's light weight.

But although throttle response is keen and the engine pulls hard, the powerplant lacks

the sort of manners we would expect to find in an Italian thoroughbred.

Power delivery is boosty, as it is in the RS, with a swelling sensation as turbo pressure

builds.

Our test car also exhaled through an optional sport exhaust that bordered on the boorish,

being notably loud and with a fusillade of pops and bangs accompanying every lift off

the throttle.

The street drive took place on the busy SP358 road from Porto Badisco to Castro Marina,

a tight, narrow coastal byway right at the tip of the heel of Italy's boot.

It turned out to be a magnet for locals on high-powered motorbikes, many of whom were

happy to take crazy risks to get a closer look at this exotic interloper.

The Stradale coped well with the challenge of a real stradale, with impressive ride quality

for something with such a hard-core mission.

The steering is brilliant—unassisted and with copious feedback, growing stiffer as

speed builds and the downforce starts to come into play.

Even with minimal aerodynamic assistance, grip levels are high, with the front biting

into tight turns at high speeds without complaint and the rear axle able to digest big throttle

applications in low gears with almost no slip.

There is stability control, but it rarely intervenes on the road.

There are some complaints.

First is with the brake pedal, which is overassisted and lacking in feel.

Retardation is plentiful by way of the cast-iron rotors—Dallara does not believe that carbon-ceramic

discs would make a substantive difference—but the car would be far better suited by a firmer

point of contact.

The gear selector for the standard six-speed manual gearbox also is a mite too far back

in the cabin, cricking elbows during shifts into the even-numbered ratios.

It would be nice to have something better than the Focus RS's shift knob, too.Track

Time Such niggles are quickly rendered insignificant

when we get to drive on the track, in a bewinged prototype sitting on more aggressive (but

still street-legal) Pirelli Trofeo R tires.

Downforce, to paraphrase the late Rick James, is a hell of a drug.

The handling course at the Nardò test center has been a playground for generations of chassis

engineers, with its 3.8-mile-long circuit offering a far trickier challenge than the

typical proving ground.

Yet it's one that the Stradale makes feel far too easy.

It's soon obvious that the primary limitation for the Stradale on track will be the driver

rather than the car.

While the Stradale is only getting close to peak downforce at the end of the main straight—at

150 mph or so according to the digital instrument display—that's more than enough help from

the unseen hand of God to allow it to negotiate the ultra-fast Turn 1 left-hander without

lifting, although it took several laps to build up the confidence to do so.

But even on the slower parts of the track there is enough aero assistance to allow impossible-feeling

entry speeds and huge lateral loads.

Dallara claims the Stradale develops up to 2.00 g's of lateral acceleration.

The ride gets firmer as the car is squashed closer to the asphalt; the development team

says that under full aero load the car is pretty much sitting on its bump stops.

The steering grows heavier, too, becoming an upper-body workout as speed rises.

The car we drove on track had the optional automated manual gearbox with steering-wheel-mounted

shift paddles, and it seemed to be defter in its shifts than is the norm for an automated

single-clutch transmission.

The brake pedal still felt too soft, though. The overall experience was close to that of a

full-fledged race car, only in a vehicle wearing a license plate.

The Stradale might give away several hundred horsepower to brawnier supercars, but it will

almost certainly obliterate most of them on lap times.

The No-Dealership Deal Dallara plans to produce no more than 600

Stradales over the next five years, with roughly 70 already ordered.

The company looked seriously at offering the car in the United States but decided the costs

of federalization were too high.

(Doing so would have doubled the roughly 25-million-euro development budget.)

European buyers will have to deal directly with the factory as Dallara doesn't have

a dealership network; customers also will have to pay something close to Ferrari money

for the privilege.

Load a Stradale with the optional windshield, roof bar, doors, wing, adjustable dampers,

and a set of Trofeo R tires, and it will run €191,000 (approximately $236,000) before

Italy's 22 percent sales tax is added.

Yet, providing they take their cars on the track occasionally, we don't think buyers

will feel short-changed.

HOLY CRAP! It's Official! Look What Trump Just Did With Kim Jong-un! - Duration: 5:23.

HOLY CRAP!

It's Official!

Look What Trump Just Did With Kim Jong-un!

Political tensions with North Korea and the United States have been heating up for years.

Discussions over whether nuclear war would eventually come were already taking place.

Shortly thereafter, the Trump administration was able to make a deal with North Korea after

the 2018 Winter Olympics whereby they agreed to sit down and discuss peace talks.

Details regarding this meeting are beginning to emerge.

South Korea, a staunch and loyal ally of the United States, has been playing intermediary

since the Winter Olympics where they agreed to have a one Korea team.

Something that had not been done in decades.

They recently made the United States aware that Kim Jong-un agreed to high-level discussions

with South Korea in Panmunjom on March 29th.

It is a small border village that provides intimacy and quiet in North Korea while straddling

the Demilitarized Zone.

The U.S. – North Korea talks are being finalized as well.

The Daily Star reported,

'Its announcement comes ahead of the highly-anticipated talks between Donald Trump and Kim.

The rogue state is expected to release three US prisoners as a goodwill gesture before

the May meeting.

Captives Kim Dong Chul, Kim Sang-duk ad Kim Hak-song, were all accused of so-called "hostile

acts" against Pyongyang.

US-North Korea relations expert, Frank Jannuzi said he "would not be surprised" if Kim

released the prisoners.

He added: "I don't want to get their families' hopes up but I would not be surprised if the

North Koreans take that step.

"It would send a very positive message.

The North Koreans have studied Donald Trump very carefully since he was elected in 2016.

"We have to remember that these three are of no strategic relevance at all.

They know that to release them would allow him to claim a victory.'

But, there are fears the talks could collapse following the US' statement it would carry

out intense military drills on Easter Sunday.

Seoul and Washington said in January they would delay the annual exercises, known as

Key Resolve and Foal Eagle, until after the Olympics and Paralympics held in South Korea.

North Korea sees the drills as a rehearsal for invasion."

The meeting between North and South Korea in March is expected to be followed by President

Trump sitting down with North Korea shortly thereafter.

If this were to occur President Trump would be the first American president to sit down

with the leader of North Korea.

Something which is very symbolic because North Korea and the United States are still technically

at war, because the 1950-1953 Korean War was ended in a truce but not a peace treaty.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in recently said the following regarding how important

the venue is to their meeting,

'The North Korea-United States summit, which will follow the inter-Korean summit, will

itself be a momentous event in world history.

Depending on where the meeting takes place, it will look even more dramatic, and depending

on progress, there can be a three-way summit among South and North Korea and the United

States.'

While South Korea has agreed to meet North Korea in Panmunjom the United States probably

will not be.

The town has a historical significance to the United States because North Korean soldiers

murdered two U.S. Army officers in 1976 with axes.

Discussions about talks taking place in Sweden and Switzerland have been rolling around but

nothing has been confirmed.

The New York Times reported,

'South Korea proposed holding high-level talks at Panmunjom on March 29 to discuss

the agenda and other details of the inter-Korean summit meeting.

North Korea has yet to publicly announce that Mr. Kim has invited Mr. Trump to a summit

meeting, and its state-run news media has not reported on Mr. Trump's acceptance of

the offer or the agreement to hold an inter-Korean meeting.

Analysts said the silence was not unusual for the North Korean regime, which could fear

raising expectations too early among its people.

United States officials have been reaching out to the North Koreans to hear directly

from them about Mr. Kim's invitation and learn more about his intentions, particularly

since he was quoted by South Korean envoys as telling them he was interested in discussing

denuclearizing his country.

Officials and analysts remain unsure whether Mr. Kim's offer signals a fundamental shift

toward dismantling his nuclear arsenal or represents a short-term ploy to confuse his

enemies, ease sanctions and buy time to further advance his nuclear weapons and intercontinental

ballistic missile programs.

The plan to hold summit meetings within just weeks of each other is presenting unprecedented

challenges to diplomatic officials.

The leaders would most likely face each other without first having lower-ranking officials

work out nettlesome details of an ambitious agenda, particularly how to end the North's

nuclear weapons program.'

Regardless of how the meeting will actually take place, it is clear it will take place

and both countries are stepping closer to actually making it come to fruition.

Whether it is in North Korea or Europe, it will happen, but what comes about as a result

of the meeting remains to be seen.

WORST Rappers in the Game? - Lil Skies (Episode 21) - Duration: 18:17.

Clip: Lil Skies "Nowadays" feat.

Landon Cube

Hey guys, today in Worst Rappers in the Game (QUESTION MARK), we will be looking at Kimetrius

Foose, more well know as Lil Skeet-skiddidy bop bop Skies.

Now to prepare for this video I listened to Good Grades Bad Habits 2, Alone and Life Of

A Dark Rose to see how I feel about his music.

So is Lil Skies one of the worst rappers in the game?

Or will I end up liking his music in the end?

Well this is CDTVProductions, and today we will be answering those questions.

Is Lil Skies one of the worst rappers in the game or not?

Let's find out.

Part 1: Voice

It's been a while, but I think we've found another rapper in this series with an above

average voice, what a nice way to kick this off.

For how his actual voice sounds, I kinda feel like sometimes he sounds like NAV, if NAV

wasn't boring, he has the same type of nasal voice but like I said Skies is much less boring

with his vocals.

Skies is one of those rappers who can pull off melodic sing-rapping, which he usually

does without any overt auto tune, which is usually found with the melodic style, so I

appreciate that he doesn't use it often, and just some straight up rapping which is

something I like, and he mostly does both of these things well.

The first thing I have to mention is his harmonising and his hooks, because that's probably one

of the most enjoyable aspects of his music.

Seriously one of the best things about The Life Of A Dark Rose is the catchy hooks, and

his other two projects have great hooks too.

Whether it's the auto tuned singing on Big Money, the wonderfully harmonised vocals on

The Clique, or the hook on Garden which is backed up by these kinda distorted vocals

in the background and it sounds great.

Clip: Lil Skies "Garden".

Not to mention, the insanely captivating hook you heard on the intro for this video with

Nowadays.

That song has been on repeat for me ever since I started researching for this video, Skies

and Landon Cube kill it with that chorus.

But like I said, Skies can also rap too, and i love his melodic songs, but I almost like

his voice more when he does some straight up rapping.

When I hear these really uplifting songs like Some Kind Of Love or Life, it makes me wonder

why he doesn't make those type of songs more often, because his voice fits right in

with the inspirational tone of those songs.

Clip: Lil Skies "Some Kind Of Love".

For the most part, Skies has a more than bearable voice, it's actually pretty enjoyable.

However of course there still are some downsides.

Sometimes, especially on his most recent project, he can be a bit monotonous during the verses.

I guess it's to fit the emo aesthetic that a lot of the songs have going on, but all

I'm asking is that you just switch up your delivery slightly to keep me interested.

I mean the song Red Roses was an absolute drag for me, because he uses the same low

key delivery for so long during the verses, the best part of that song was Landon Cube

for me, who turns in another amazing performance, because he completely switched up the sound

of the track, for the best.

This also happens on the first 2 minutes of his song N.E.W.S, the auto droning he does

on here is incredibly boring until he decides to switch it up with some rapping in the second

verse.

Clip: Lil Skies "N.E.W.S.".

Sometimes he just has an issue with either using a boring delivery, or keeping the exact

same tone throughout the majority of a song and it does make some of them kinda tedious.

But I mostly enjoy what Skies has to offer vocally, I'm gonna give him a 7.5/10 for

his voice.

He's got some stuff to work on, but there's definitely some real talent here vocally.

Part 2: Flow

As for his flow, this was another segment where I can say I was fairly impressed.

As I mentioned, Skies can make rapping tracks, and some tracks that lean more towards a singing

style, and this of course shows us that he can pull of a few different flow styles.

If we're talking about his rapping flows, my absolute favourite has to be on the song

Russel.

I did not expect to hear Skies over such a dark, looming beat, but he actually sounds

great over it and his flow matches the vibe perfectly.

Clip: Lil Skies "Russel".

Then there's the song Some Way, which starts off kinda average in terms of flow, but he

really goes off in the second verse, picking it up with a bit of an aggressive tone.

As for his singing flows, he also does these quite nicely.

Songs such as Lettuce Sandwich and Twenty Sixteen show some really catchy autotune laced

flows, and then you've got songs like Always Lit which have a very low key and smooth flow

that fits the beat perfectly.

I definitely think Skies performs pretty well in both of these aspects.

One big issue I have with some of his tracks though is that he just refuses to change up

his flows on some of them, and this can result in boring tracks.

This appears to happen the most on his Life Of A Dark Rose project.

Songs like Boss Up, Strictly Business and Lust have so much potential, but his flows

remain relatively same-ey throughout the verses, and that makes them kind of uninteresting.

Clip: Lil Skies "Lust".

That's really his biggest issue, because he honestly doesn't flow badly 95% of the

time, it's just it can get boring sometimes when he doesn't change it up, and that does

ruin some tracks for me.

Im still gonna give Lil Skies a 7/10 for this segment.

I do like that he's shown he can provide a variety of flows, and he does so fairly

well.

He knows how to kill a beat when he needs to.

Part 3: Lyrics

Now lyrics is Lil Skies weakest point, I know who saw that coming, that's pretty much

to be expected in this series.

But he's not super weak lyrically, he's just one of those mid range rappers for lyrics

in my opinion.

The song I probably enjoyed most in terms of its writing was Life found on his Alone

mixtape.

It doesn't feature high level wordplay or anything like that, but it's basically him

telling us how he came to be the person he is, telling us about how his family and environment

influenced him to become a more successful person and a better human being overall.

I also like the maturity he commonly shows in his lyrics.

In Welcome to The Rodeo he acknowledged that he's very aware he won't be able to get

a job with his face tattoos, so he uses that for motivation to make a living through his

music.

Clip: Lil Skies "Welcome to the Rodeo".

I like that, because I rarely ever hear rappers talk about how their face tattoos could affect

them getting a job if they ever needed to.

Then there's the line on Fake about everyone around him telling him that college is necessary

to succeed, and he tried to go down that route but it wasn't for him.

I can really relate to that as a YouTuber, that just makes his family proud, uh, every

single day.

Yeah.

I also like how he often talks about the fact he doesn't take xans, because too many rappers

promote that nowadays.

I like all of that, but I don't think there's enough lyrically to warrant me giving him

a super high rating.

I do like that a lot of lyrics are focused on motivation and achieving your dreams, but

I feel like sometimes he talks about that a little too often.

I don't think he's ever made me cringe with his lyrics, but he's never done anything

that's blown me away either.

There's also some occasions like on Kill4u, where I feel like he starts talking about

an interesting subject that he could talk more in depth about, but just moves on from

it too quickly.

I'm gonna give Skies a 5/10 for his lyrical ability.

Like I said, he's just in the middle here for me.

Part 4: Beats

And again, instrumentally there wasn't a lot from Skies that disappointed me.

Even though the production definitely had a bit of a cheaper vibe to it earlier on in

his rapping career, there's a lot of catchy beats on Good Grades Bad Habits 2.

The initial track, Some Kind Of Love, really surprised me with this vocals sample and a

very uplifting sound as a whole, it sounds great.

He also raps over some fantastic banger beats which I thoroughly enjoyed, because at first

he didn't strike me as a rapper that could go off over some hard hitting beats.

But just listen to Drift or Pump 93 and tell me the beats alone don't get you gassed

up.

Clip: Lil Skies "Pump 93".

He also sounds fantastic over these more moody, emo type beats, such as Cloudy Skies or Kill4u.

A problem I have with some of his beats though is that, like his flow, they sometimes just

don't change up enough to stay interesting.

The beat for Strictly Business is basically the same throughout the whole song and the

same can be said for Signs Of Jealousy.

Theres also the beat on The Clique, a song which I enjoy but it basically just switches

between one reversed string instrumental on the verse, to another slightly different reversed

string instrumental for the hook.

Clip: Lil Skies "The Clique".

It just sounds a bit monotonous to me.

I do feel like Skies picks a lot of great beats, but I wouldn't say they're the

main attraction to his music either.

I'll give him a nice 7.5/10 for this section, as I was still pretty impressed by a lot of

his beat selection, and it's not like there's a lot of beats that I thought were mediocre

or bad.

Good stuff so far still.

Part 5: Enjoyment

Well I'm pleased to say we've found another rapper that gets a big CDTV stamp of approval.

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this, the fact that he's got Lil at the

start of his name kinda brings connotations of being generic and nothing different, but

I'm happy to say I don't feel like that is the case.

Out of the 3 projects I've heard from him, surprisingly my favorite is the earliest one

from him that I heard, Good Grades Bad Habits Volume 2.

Speaking of that project, I have no clue where the hell volume 1 is, but it's a really

dope mixtape in my opinion.

It shows a fairly decent range of sounds.

You've got bangers like Twenty Sixteen, I Know and Da Sauce, and also some laid back

tracks like Always Lit.

It's just so solid, even if the audio and production quality isn't super high.

The only tracks I didn't like on there were Palace and Regular.

Next for my second favorite, I'd have his Life Of A Dark Rose project.

This was a good project, but on some of the songs Skies was a bit boring or just continued

the same flows for too long.

On my first listen I even had this as my least favorite project from Skies, but that has

changed over time as there's so many songs I replay from here.

Not to mention it's the albums where his vocal harmonizing really takes center stage

so I like that.

Pretty solid album.

Then for my least favorite we have Alone.

I still enjoyed a lot of the tracks from this tape, and we get to see Skies rapping talent

on tracks like Life and Pump 93, but this one definitely has more songs that I don't

care for than his other projects.

But the key thing to note is I still like it.

Guys I really enjoyed listening to Lil Skies, and he has gained a fan.

I'm gonna be eagerly awaiting his next project because he really has impressed me overall

so far.

I'm gonna give him an 8.5/10 for enjoyment.

Ive seen some people say that he's just a typical new age rapper, but that's an

assessment I really don't agree with.

He's got some real talent.

Part 6: Verdict

So overall, Lil Skies scores a 35.5/50, which is a pretty high score for this series and

places him very marginally above Ski Mask the Slump God and just below Migos, meaning

Skies takes our number 4 spot on this list.

In case you don't know, that means I really like his music.

He's probably one of the most well balanced rappers I've looked at so far here, and

I cannot wait for him to release more music.

I've legitimately been listening to his music non stop for about a month since I started

researching for this video.

Great stuff, and you can definitely consider me a fan now.

ALEXANDER NEVERMIND: FUNKY 'IT' PARTY AT A 'M.F.' TEMPLE (LIVE 1992) - 1958/2018 (60TH ANNIVERSARY) - Duration: 4:36.

Alexander Nevermind: "Kicking me in my heart... (kicking U in your heart)...

Tearing, tearing, tearing, tearing me all apart... (tearing him all apart)

Because me & U... me & U, baby... me & U, could have been a work of art...

Somebody say: "All right, all right..."

I think about U baby all the time, all right...

Because when we did IT girl, IT was so divine, all right...

I might be guilty for my honesty, all right...

But I've got 2 tell U what U mean 2 me...

I wanna tell U what U mean 2 me, all right?!

U seem perplexed, I haven't taken U yet...

Can't U see I'm harder than a man can get...

I got wet dreams comin' out of my ears... I get hard if the wind blows your cologne near me, baby... I CAN'T TAKE IT!

I said I want the whole nine... this ain't about the body, baby, it's about the mind...

Somebody say: "All right, all right..."

I might be guilty for my honesty, all right...

But I've got 2 tell U what U mean 2 me...

I'VE GOT 2 TELL, U!!!

Better than the thieves in this temple... tonight."
