Hi I'm Erin.

The goal today is to get this lettuce transitioned into being ready to be planted in the high

tunnel.

For that to happen there's lots to do and several steps to take first on Our Wyoming Life.

This is the second spring that we have grown lettuce, spinach and radishes well before

our last frost date.

Our last frost date in this part of Wyoming is right around the 20th of May.

It worked so well last spring that we even grew spinach all winter and harvested our

last crop of radishes in November.

Warmer temps have returned this week after some bitter cold weather has been hanging

around for the last 3 weeks.

We're behind our target date of planting the lettuce in the high tunnel on March 1st

but there's no point in arguing with mother nature.

Today is just one step in the journey of the lettuce from seedling to harvesting for farmers'

market.

Growing crops for farmers' market while there's still lots of days of cold weather

and I'm sure more snow on the way is definitely not ordinary here in Wyoming.

The winter spinach growing went really well with one exception.

Aphids.

They attacked the spinach and now we have to deal with them before we try growing more

crops that the aphids will be sure to love.

Today we're doing everything possible to ensure the success of our transplants and

hope the aphid problem can be solved.

Aphids are small sap sucking insects.

Aphids can be hugely destructive to crops and are a nuisance to gardeners.

I hate them.

They reproduce ridiculously fast through asexual reproduction and before you know it one aphid

that you didn't even know was there can turn into thousands or millions of the bugs.

My guess is last fall there must have been a few aphids on the tomatoes.

Not enough to even notice.

This winter with the addition of crops, water, sunshine and warm daytime temps they got busy

on the spinach and radishes and wreaked their havoc.

I'm definitely not an expert on aphid lifecycle and all I really need to know at this point

is how to kill them.

So this what we are going to do.

We're going to burn them first.

The bed where the radishes grew before they froze when temps hit 15 below and the rest

of the high tunnel except where the spinach is still growing is going to be hit with a

propane torch.

This will hopefully kill any living aphids, their eggs if they laid any, and also get

rid of the weeds.

Mike fires up the propane torch for me and I get to work.

I am doing a heavy burning.

If I was just doing weed control I wouldn't have the flame up so high or hold the torch

as long over the weeds.

But I really want to kill the aphids so hopefully it will be beneficial to be through with this

step.

All of the spinach gets cut.

I snuck out when I had an hour of free time and cut all of the spinach.

I didn't film it and I'm sorry.

The reason I decided to cut it is because aphids live on the underside of the plant.

It makes it really difficult to get rid of them and cutting the foliage will hopefully

help us eradicate all of the aphids.

A couple days after the first burning warm weather is back and it's back to work searching

and destroying aphids.

With temps in the low 30's outside it's a nice 80 degrees in the high tunnel and a

perfect day to work.

The Hoss wheel hoe that Mike built on Tuesday's project list video is ready to be put to work

for the first time.

A majority of the weeds have died from the first burning and we run the hoe through the

tunnel with the oscillating blade attachment on.

It's like a giant stirrup hoe and it worked great.

It cuts through the soil nicely and pops the roots loose on the weeds.

The hoe was really simple and nice to use.

It's so much faster than a traditional stirrup hoe.

I can definitely see that we will be using this wheel hoe a ton this summer.

The only draw back is my arms get tired.

I guess I'll get in shape this summer!

Mike takes over the hoeing and again fires up the propane torch and everything gets burned

one more time.

Back in the shop I mixed up the chemical we are using today.

We are using a Take Down Garden Spray Pyrethrin and Canola oil pesticide.

It kills all stages of insects including eggs.

Which is going to be key in our aphid killing success.

Pyrethrin is now days chemically manufactured but it is naturally found in chrysanthemum

flowers.

The spinach gets sprayed as does the rest of the soil in the high tunnel.

We don't want to miss even a single aphid.

The peppers from last summer still need to be dealt with.

Today is a great day to take care of them.

All of the row cover and plastic that we have been using to protect the crops from the cold

has to come out.

There's probably aphids on it, so out it goes.

The dead pepper plants are pulled out of the plastic row cover and tossed into piles.

Then the row cover can be rolled up and Mike finds a wheelbarrow that makes getting the

row cover and pepper plants out of the tunnel much easier.

The next day we're back at the high tunnel.

There's still a few more things to do before the lettuce can be moved from the basement.

The soil where the peppers were at hasn't been tilled since last spring so now is a

great time to go ahead and get that done.

We might end up planting some stuff over there and its easier to till now instead of later

when there's lettuce everywhere.

Now that's its been 24 hours since we applied our aphid spray we can water everything.

A sprinkler gets set and a hose gets run from my mom's house and we're in business.

A yard sprinkler makes watering large spots of the tunnel go much faster.

The soil in the tunnel is very sandy.

Which is fine but it does take a lot of water to get the soil damp.

We will need the soil damp for when we transplant the seedlings and direct sow more seeds.

We have a few days until the lettuce will be able to be transplanted.

We might as well warm the soil some while we are waiting for the lettuce to harden.

Clear plastic gets laid over the freshly watered soil and it will raise our soil temps 10-15

degrees in just a few days.

This will make the transplanting more successful as the roots won't go through so much shock.

Now the moment we've been doing all this hard work for.

The lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower and kale can be moved from the basement into the high

tunnel.

We can't plant them yet but they can hang out here in the tunnel and become acclimated

to their new surroundings in a process called hardening.

The seedlings are under lights but it's not the same as direct sunlight.

Also the temps in the basement are a consistent 60-65 degrees.

It doesn't get cold at night and hot during the day.

The hardening process allows the plants to get used to the sunlight and temperature swings

while they are still in their original pots and we haven't disturbed their roots yet.

There's also a few things we can do to help them transition better.

Gallon bottles have been filled with water and are placed around the trays.

The water will become warm during the day and release it's heat during the night.

It's simple and cheap and it really does help the seedlings harden gently.

Because the plants aren't ready for 11 hours of direct sunlight everyday we will use frost

protection row cover to shade them.

Hoops get placed in the ground around the water fortress and the row cover can be draped

over the hoops to help shade the seedlings.

We make sure that it's vented so things don't get too hot underneath the row cover.

Every day we can increase the amount of direct sun the seedlings receive and at nighttime

the row cover will be doubled or even tripled and we will tuck the seedlings in so they

adjust to being cold but aren't shocked by it.

Now we're finally done with this phase of the lettuce seedling journey.

They're not in the ground yet but we are a heck of a lot closer to accomplishing that

goal.

Early next week we will be ready for transplanting.

The weather forecast is decent.

One day of snow but otherwise very warm and sunny for us for this time of year.

It's a great feeling to be back outside with the sunshine and gardening work happening.

It's time for winter to be over!

It's not over.

It's going to snow again but we can pretend for a couple of days that it's spring time.

Mike has a new video out on Sunday and even though we've already started calving Mike

is going to finally get ready for calving and show you everything he might need to help

have healthy calves on the ground.

How Super Castlevania IV Was Censored Outside Japan - Duration: 3:51.

Today we'll be taking a look at Super Castlevania IV, a game that is commonly cited by critics

as one of the best games of all time and, also, the first Castlevania title released

for Nintendo's SNES system.

Super Castlevania IV, as well as other Castlevania games released for the SNES, and earlier NES,

received numerous censorship changes when released outside of Japan.

This video will be taking a look at these changes and How Super Castlevania IV Was Censored

Outside Japan.

The first change made to the game can be spotted right when booting up the game on the title

screen.

It is only in the Japanese version on the left where you will be able to see a puddle

of blood at the bottom of the screen and blood dripping from above.

When the screen then finishes panning up, you'll see that this blood is coming from

the game's logo and that the English version on the right was completely redesigned.

The next screen, the game's intro, also faced changes overseas and this sets the scene for

a lot of other changes that were made to the game.

If you notice, you can see a cross at the top of the grave, as well as on other graves

in the background.

These crosses were removed due to Nintendo of America's strict policy at the time against

showing religious themes in games, due to not wanting to offend Western audiences.

With the exception of a single instance, all crosses in the game were removed outside of

Japan.

Also, rather interestingly, if you look closely you'll be able to see that the English version

removed the English text displayed on the grave.

The text is supposed to say Dracula but instead the L has been replaced with an R.

This is due to the Japanese language not having the "L" sound in their language and that it

can be hard for them to distinguishing between the L and R sounds.

And so, this type of mistake is extremely commonly made in Japanese media, as well as

real life.

Another cross was removed from the top of the password screen and also, if you look

just above the cross, you'll see that a religious figure was removed as well.

A few more examples of removed crosses include the crosses in the background of the stables

section of the first level.

The coffin enemies that can be found in various levels were also redesigned so that the cross

across the front of the casket was removed.

And then the graveyard section of the second level had all crosses on the graves removed

as well.

These are only just a few examples though, as remember, all crosses were removed outside

of Japan with the exception of only a single instance.

This exception is the Rosary special item, which, when used, destroys all enemies on

screen.

It's not known why this was for some reason missed when all other crosses were removed.

Moving away from the religious changes though and on to some more changes to blood.

In the Japanese version on the left, you'll be able to not only see that the pits of liquid

are red blood but that there is also red blood on the spikes coming from the ceiling as well.

In the English version on the right, all blood as been changed to green throughout the entire

dungeon level.

That's about it for the extent of red blood in the Japanese version of the game though,

with it being kept quite tame even in the Japanese version.

That's not all however for the changes to the Western version of the game.

Alongside blood and religious references, some slight artistic nudity was altered as

well.

A nude statue in level 6 was made to cover up outside of Japan, due to Nintendo feeling

this was too inappropriate for younger audiences.

Strangely, the Medusa boss battle was not altered in the West.

Here Medusa is depicted completely topless and Medusa has actually been censored various

times in other games in the series, due to this very reason.

In the previous game, Castlevania 3, for example, Medusa had her chest size noticeable toned

down outside of Japan.

So it's not known why this element was left intact in the English version.

That's all for Super Castlevania IV though but, as mentioned, this was far from the only

game in the series to get changes outside of Japan.

Let's get going heavy snow is still possible over some of the northern New England states the heavy snow is possible also

over the Cascades and the

Northern Rockies and have the lake enhanced snow downwind from the lower Great Lakes

Expect that to be coming in nor eastern

winds down as a low pressure over northern New England slowly fills through tomorrow and

Saturday now heavy snow will continue over northern

Maine through Friday morning the snow will continue over parts of the Northeast through Saturday lake

Enhanced snow will develop

Downwind of the lower Great Lakes as an upper level energy

circulates around the

Associated upper-level low through Saturday meanwhile upper level energy will move inland over the Pacific Northwest

moving to the northern high plains by Saturday

Associated onshore flow will stream moisture into the Northwest Coast through Friday afternoon

the system will produce rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Pacific Northwest and

Snow over the Northern Rockies that will end over to the northwest by Friday evening and the Northern Rockies by

Saturday morning

Overnight Friday snow will move into parts of the Northern Plains

Upper mississippi valley and into parts of the central Rockies by saturday morning in the meantime

moisture from the Western Gulf of

Mexico

Will begin to float northward over the Western Gulf Coast into parts of the southern plains by Friday morning

The moisture flow off the Gulf will intensify over the southern plains and move into the lower, Mississippi Valley

overnight Friday into Saturday

in addition overnight Friday showers and

Thunderstorms will develop over parts of the western Gulf Coast that will expand and move into the lower

Mississippi Valley by Saturday morning

additionally overnight Friday rain will develop over parts of the southern, Ohio Valley

Tennessee Valley and into parts of the mid-atlantic by Saturday and Sunday

Erie tonight and by Friday that low will move away from the area and lake effect snow

Will continue into the snow belt into the afternoon the heaviest period of snow is expected this evening

Localized amounts around a foot are expected and some of the higher terrain

South of Erie and Crawford counties now the heaviest snow will occur this evening through early

also, Ashtabula in

Inland counties. It's going to last until you're under this warning. It's a winter storm warning until 7:00 p.m.

Friday and of course the travel is going to stink be careful

It's gonna be a mess out there. You guys are used to it

I know, but be safe make sure you take you an extra flashlight with you wherever you may go

Accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, okay, it's gonna last all around 7:00 p.m.

Prepping the High Tunnel for Seedlings - Duration: 9:34.

Hi I'm Erin.

The goal today is to get this lettuce transitioned into being ready to be planted in the high

tunnel.

For that to happen there's lots to do and several steps to take first on Our Wyoming Life.

This is the second spring that we have grown lettuce, spinach and radishes well before

our last frost date.

Our last frost date in this part of Wyoming is right around the 20th of May.

It worked so well last spring that we even grew spinach all winter and harvested our

last crop of radishes in November.

Warmer temps have returned this week after some bitter cold weather has been hanging

around for the last 3 weeks.

We're behind our target date of planting the lettuce in the high tunnel on March 1st

but there's no point in arguing with mother nature.

Today is just one step in the journey of the lettuce from seedling to harvesting for farmers'

market.

Growing crops for farmers' market while there's still lots of days of cold weather

and I'm sure more snow on the way is definitely not ordinary here in Wyoming.

The winter spinach growing went really well with one exception.

Aphids.

They attacked the spinach and now we have to deal with them before we try growing more

crops that the aphids will be sure to love.

Today we're doing everything possible to ensure the success of our transplants and

hope the aphid problem can be solved.

Aphids are small sap sucking insects.

Aphids can be hugely destructive to crops and are a nuisance to gardeners.

I hate them.

They reproduce ridiculously fast through asexual reproduction and before you know it one aphid

that you didn't even know was there can turn into thousands or millions of the bugs.

My guess is last fall there must have been a few aphids on the tomatoes.

Not enough to even notice.

This winter with the addition of crops, water, sunshine and warm daytime temps they got busy

on the spinach and radishes and wreaked their havoc.

I'm definitely not an expert on aphid lifecycle and all I really need to know at this point

is how to kill them.

So this what we are going to do.

We're going to burn them first.

The bed where the radishes grew before they froze when temps hit 15 below and the rest

of the high tunnel except where the spinach is still growing is going to be hit with a

propane torch.

This will hopefully kill any living aphids, their eggs if they laid any, and also get

rid of the weeds.

Mike fires up the propane torch for me and I get to work.

I am doing a heavy burning.

If I was just doing weed control I wouldn't have the flame up so high or hold the torch

as long over the weeds.

But I really want to kill the aphids so hopefully it will be beneficial to be through with this

step.

All of the spinach gets cut.

I snuck out when I had an hour of free time and cut all of the spinach.

I didn't film it and I'm sorry.

The reason I decided to cut it is because aphids live on the underside of the plant.

It makes it really difficult to get rid of them and cutting the foliage will hopefully

help us eradicate all of the aphids.

A couple days after the first burning warm weather is back and it's back to work searching

and destroying aphids.

With temps in the low 30's outside it's a nice 80 degrees in the high tunnel and a

perfect day to work.

The Hoss wheel hoe that Mike built on Tuesday's project list video is ready to be put to work

for the first time.

A majority of the weeds have died from the first burning and we run the hoe through the

tunnel with the oscillating blade attachment on.

It's like a giant stirrup hoe and it worked great.

It cuts through the soil nicely and pops the roots loose on the weeds.

The hoe was really simple and nice to use.

It's so much faster than a traditional stirrup hoe.

I can definitely see that we will be using this wheel hoe a ton this summer.

The only draw back is my arms get tired.

I guess I'll get in shape this summer!

Mike takes over the hoeing and again fires up the propane torch and everything gets burned

one more time.

Back in the shop I mixed up the chemical we are using today.

We are using a Take Down Garden Spray Pyrethrin and Canola oil pesticide.

It kills all stages of insects including eggs.

Which is going to be key in our aphid killing success.

Pyrethrin is now days chemically manufactured but it is naturally found in chrysanthemum

flowers.

The spinach gets sprayed as does the rest of the soil in the high tunnel.

We don't want to miss even a single aphid.

The peppers from last summer still need to be dealt with.

Today is a great day to take care of them.

All of the row cover and plastic that we have been using to protect the crops from the cold

has to come out.

There's probably aphids on it, so out it goes.

The dead pepper plants are pulled out of the plastic row cover and tossed into piles.

Then the row cover can be rolled up and Mike finds a wheelbarrow that makes getting the

row cover and pepper plants out of the tunnel much easier.

The next day we're back at the high tunnel.

There's still a few more things to do before the lettuce can be moved from the basement.

The soil where the peppers were at hasn't been tilled since last spring so now is a

great time to go ahead and get that done.

We might end up planting some stuff over there and its easier to till now instead of later

when there's lettuce everywhere.

Now that's its been 24 hours since we applied our aphid spray we can water everything.

A sprinkler gets set and a hose gets run from my mom's house and we're in business.

A yard sprinkler makes watering large spots of the tunnel go much faster.

The soil in the tunnel is very sandy.

Which is fine but it does take a lot of water to get the soil damp.

We will need the soil damp for when we transplant the seedlings and direct sow more seeds.

We have a few days until the lettuce will be able to be transplanted.

We might as well warm the soil some while we are waiting for the lettuce to harden.

Clear plastic gets laid over the freshly watered soil and it will raise our soil temps 10-15

degrees in just a few days.

This will make the transplanting more successful as the roots won't go through so much shock.

Now the moment we've been doing all this hard work for.

The lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower and kale can be moved from the basement into the high

tunnel.

We can't plant them yet but they can hang out here in the tunnel and become acclimated

to their new surroundings in a process called hardening.

The seedlings are under lights but it's not the same as direct sunlight.

Also the temps in the basement are a consistent 60-65 degrees.

It doesn't get cold at night and hot during the day.

The hardening process allows the plants to get used to the sunlight and temperature swings

while they are still in their original pots and we haven't disturbed their roots yet.

There's also a few things we can do to help them transition better.

Gallon bottles have been filled with water and are placed around the trays.

The water will become warm during the day and release it's heat during the night.

It's simple and cheap and it really does help the seedlings harden gently.

Because the plants aren't ready for 11 hours of direct sunlight everyday we will use frost

protection row cover to shade them.

Hoops get placed in the ground around the water fortress and the row cover can be draped

over the hoops to help shade the seedlings.

We make sure that it's vented so things don't get too hot underneath the row cover.

Every day we can increase the amount of direct sun the seedlings receive and at nighttime

the row cover will be doubled or even tripled and we will tuck the seedlings in so they

adjust to being cold but aren't shocked by it.

Now we're finally done with this phase of the lettuce seedling journey.

They're not in the ground yet but we are a heck of a lot closer to accomplishing that

goal.

Early next week we will be ready for transplanting.

The weather forecast is decent.

One day of snow but otherwise very warm and sunny for us for this time of year.

It's a great feeling to be back outside with the sunshine and gardening work happening.

It's time for winter to be over!

It's not over.

It's going to snow again but we can pretend for a couple of days that it's spring time.

Mike has a new video out on Sunday and even though we've already started calving Mike

is going to finally get ready for calving and show you everything he might need to help

have healthy calves on the ground.

How Super Castlevania IV Was Censored Outside Japan - Duration: 3:51.

Today we'll be taking a look at Super Castlevania IV, a game that is commonly cited by critics

as one of the best games of all time and, also, the first Castlevania title released

for Nintendo's SNES system.

Super Castlevania IV, as well as other Castlevania games released for the SNES, and earlier NES,

received numerous censorship changes when released outside of Japan.

This video will be taking a look at these changes and How Super Castlevania IV Was Censored

Outside Japan.

The first change made to the game can be spotted right when booting up the game on the title

screen.

It is only in the Japanese version on the left where you will be able to see a puddle

of blood at the bottom of the screen and blood dripping from above.

When the screen then finishes panning up, you'll see that this blood is coming from

the game's logo and that the English version on the right was completely redesigned.

The next screen, the game's intro, also faced changes overseas and this sets the scene for

a lot of other changes that were made to the game.

If you notice, you can see a cross at the top of the grave, as well as on other graves

in the background.

These crosses were removed due to Nintendo of America's strict policy at the time against

showing religious themes in games, due to not wanting to offend Western audiences.

With the exception of a single instance, all crosses in the game were removed outside of

Japan.

Also, rather interestingly, if you look closely you'll be able to see that the English version

removed the English text displayed on the grave.

The text is supposed to say Dracula but instead the L has been replaced with an R.

This is due to the Japanese language not having the "L" sound in their language and that it

can be hard for them to distinguishing between the L and R sounds.

And so, this type of mistake is extremely commonly made in Japanese media, as well as

real life.

Another cross was removed from the top of the password screen and also, if you look

just above the cross, you'll see that a religious figure was removed as well.

A few more examples of removed crosses include the crosses in the background of the stables

section of the first level.

The coffin enemies that can be found in various levels were also redesigned so that the cross

across the front of the casket was removed.

And then the graveyard section of the second level had all crosses on the graves removed

as well.

These are only just a few examples though, as remember, all crosses were removed outside

of Japan with the exception of only a single instance.

This exception is the Rosary special item, which, when used, destroys all enemies on

screen.

It's not known why this was for some reason missed when all other crosses were removed.

Moving away from the religious changes though and on to some more changes to blood.

In the Japanese version on the left, you'll be able to not only see that the pits of liquid

are red blood but that there is also red blood on the spikes coming from the ceiling as well.

In the English version on the right, all blood as been changed to green throughout the entire

dungeon level.

That's about it for the extent of red blood in the Japanese version of the game though,

with it being kept quite tame even in the Japanese version.

That's not all however for the changes to the Western version of the game.

Alongside blood and religious references, some slight artistic nudity was altered as

well.

A nude statue in level 6 was made to cover up outside of Japan, due to Nintendo feeling

this was too inappropriate for younger audiences.

Strangely, the Medusa boss battle was not altered in the West.

Here Medusa is depicted completely topless and Medusa has actually been censored various

times in other games in the series, due to this very reason.

In the previous game, Castlevania 3, for example, Medusa had her chest size noticeable toned

down outside of Japan.

So it's not known why this element was left intact in the English version.

That's all for Super Castlevania IV though but, as mentioned, this was far from the only

game in the series to get changes outside of Japan.

It's a beautiful day for fishing in sunny Florida.

A beginner angler and his best gal are setting off to the beach

to try their hand at catching a fresh fish for dinner.

Equipt with the Senko Skipper Surf Fishing Adventure Kit,

His rigs are tied and he's ready to go.

But, lookie over here,

Now let's take a look at the setup.

Tom is using a 12' surf pole, designed to cast bait out further than your grandpa's bamboo stick.

Look out ladies! That's one impressive rod!

Easy there, Casanova.

Salted squid, eh? That's a fine choice.

The salted baits are tough so that small fish can't nip them off.

Fresh prawn, another choice bait.

Tom has decided to try a combination of fresh and salted bait on his rig.

And the game is on!

Tom's an eager beaver and can't wait to cast out.

Watch your shoes there, Tom.

He casts out all willy-nilly,

not paying attention to any of the instructions in the [patented] Senko Skipper Guide.

Now he's snagged a rock.

Careful there.

--Uh oh!

Now you're in bad business!

Now it's up to Sally to catch dinner.

She chooses to bait her rig with fresh prawns on the top hook,

and then uses a strip of the salted squid on the bottom.

Let's see what happens!

She checks the Senko Skipper Adventure Guide again to make sure that she is casting in the right place.

The Guide teaches her how to spot a sandbar and--

There it is. She believes she's found one.

Here comes Tom to pass to buck.

That's alright, Sally has found a good spot to cast

and she's going to give it a try.

After casting into the trough, the waiting game begins.

A quick scan of the Adventure Guide and she learns that

moving the bait will entice a hungry predator looking for an evening snack.

Let's catch up on Tom.

Sen. Jeff Flake's bill to enshrine the DACA program in law would also make the illegal

immigrant "Dreamers" eligible for Obamacare — including perhaps hundreds of millions

of dollars in annual taxpayer subsidies to buy health plans, Congressional scorekeepers

said this week.

Mr. Flake, Arizona Republican, tried to power his bill through the Senate on Tuesday, but

was blocked by another senator.

His bill would offer those who qualified for the original DACA program a new, three-year

legal status, which would include permission to work in the country legally, in exchange

for $7 billion — or about three year's worth of funding — for President Trump's

planned border wall.

Flake says Trump will face a challenger from his own party in 2020, per The Hill:

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) said Friday he wouldn't rule out a 2020 challenge to President Trump

while predicting that the president "will have a challenge" from someone in the Republican

Party.

Flake, an outspoken critic of Trump who is not running for reelection to the Senate,

told CNN's David Axelrod in an interview that while he is not "planning" to run

as an independent, he "wouldn't swear it off."

"I do think the president will have a challenge from the Republican Party, I think there should

be," Flake said.

"I also think that there will be an independent challenge, particularly if the Democrats insist

on putting somebody up from the far left of the party."

It's as if liberal Republicans think helping the left will make them more likable to the

uninformed.

That's not how this works, Jeff.

Flake duped his constituents for far too long.

This is not shaming.

This is not blaming.

A little eye opener here.

I'm getting a lot of messages.

I get about two dozen a day from people.

"Help!"

I love to help, trust me.

I live to help.

That's why I do all this free stuff.

You've got yourself a nine week old puppy,

10 week old puppy, German Shepherd.

You're askin' a lot of questions

about basic stuff.

Whining, crate,

mouthing.

No disrespect.

But,

what were you thinking was gonna happen?

Again, no negativity down in this thing.

If you're gonna get a puppy,

any breed,

I want you to first know how to raise it

for the first six months of its life.

So, do your research.

Before you get the dog,

get yourself how to raise puppy videos,

how to raise puppy books.

There's a lot of great information out there.

It's so important, because when you're

eight, nine, 10 weeks old, and you're getting

all these issues that are normal,

you're frustrated, you're stressed,

you're thinking about getting rid of the dog.

Guys,

you got the puppy.

100% responsibility.

You got the puppy.

It's not easy raising a puppy.

So, be as prepared as you can,

before you get the dog home.

You should literally know all

the different stages of puppyhood.

The fear stages, how to potty train the dog,

how to stop biting, when to start basic obedience,

about markers, about different training modalities.

Do your research.

Do your research.

Older dog, it's not as challenging,

believe it or not, but a puppy,

puppies can be a pain in the ass.

So, don't be surprised.

U.S. is 'long ways' from negotiations with North Korea: Tillerson - Duration: 0:48.

Despite the apparent breakthrough on the Korean Peninsula,...

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson isn't getting too carried away.

Tillerson, speaking on Thursday while on his first trip to Africa,... said while the signals

from Pyongyang may be positive,... direct negotiations are still a long way off.

He noted how President Trump said there were positive signs coming out of North Korea.

In terms of direct talks,... Tillerson said the first step should be "talks about talks."

He added that Washington needs to be "very clear-eyed and realistic" about the prospects.

His comments come after South Korea's Presidential office said the Kim Jong-un regime "clearly

stated" it's willing to discuss denuclearization with the U.S.

I've been wondering...

What would happen if you have only one person in your village?

Chickens and cows and the like breed when there's only one of them.

So I'm wondering if that will also work for humans.

Alright.

Let's see...

We don't have much food.

We're going to start by building a tent.

The tent is so we won't have many people.

... to be able to eat and stuff.

Huh, children die quickly.

I guess that's because they don't exist if there's no house.

They don't have a character.

Speed it up.

These are two adults.

Two women.

So I guess we'll have a woman to be our first test dummy.

Why are they in there? (in the warehouse)

I'm just giving them stuff to do.

In the hopes that they'll die a little faster.

The reason I picked a full village instead of just one hut is...

...so they would be able to build more stuff.

Just to give them something to do.

Otherwise we just have a hut and a small warehouse.

And there we go.

Now we have two people.

And this is where things start taking a while.

I'm just going to walk to the other side of the island,

Hoping that that's the fastest way.

Then maybe pick out a big tree...

I recorded for a total of 4 hours...

I've never tried to kill a person in this game before, heh.

Waiting for her to starve to death...

Aaand she's gone

No happiness at all?

Alright.

Now I'm gonna have to build...

Can we build a house?

I'm building a house because it will make new people come faster.

Or not at all, we'll see.

Just giving her a few different jobs.

I'm not really paying attention to placing so much right now.

I'm going to do the same thing...

My worry with this hut is, what if it automatically puts women in there?

So I'm going to

have all the women die separately first.

Or at least until there is only one left.

Okay I have a guy, that's good.

I just hope it stays that way.

And now everyone but the main man is dead.

Gradient Stamping Technique - Duration: 6:01.

Welcome to Ink It Up with Jessica TV! I'm Jessica Taylor and in this episode I'm

going to show you how to do this cool gradient technique with your stamps

and ink pads so that you can go from a light color all the way to a dark color.

So the first thing you're going to want to do is pick your stamp set. I recommend

that you use a bold stamp as it really makes the colors stand out more. I chose

to use a celebrate stamp and this is actually from the February 2018 Paper

Pumpkin Kit. As soon as I saw this stamp, not sure if you can see the stamp set

very well, as soon as I saw this and saw the bold images here: thank you, friend,

and then celebrate, I knew it was going to be perfect for this technique.

The first thing you're going to do is pick your stamp, then you are going to pick

your colors. I really want to encourage you to play around with this.

There is no right or wrong color combo and sometimes you have to figure out

what doesn't work before you can figure out what does work. This does happen

to be the first color combo that I tried but I just literally was grabbing Blues

off of my stamp pad shelf because blue is my favorite color.

I started down in this corner with tempting turquoise then I added some

Bermuda Bay then I went to Pacific Point, then Dapper Denim and then finally

when we get to the top here I used Night of Navy. Let me go ahead

and show you how to use your stamps and ink to make this cool gradient stamping

technique. I'm going to start with a piece of three-and-a-half inch by 5 inch

Whisper White card stock and to get this on a line like this I actually

didn't use any special tools. No stamp-a-ma-jig or Stamparatus or any kind of

stamp positioning tool. I just eyeballed it but I started by making a template

out of just computer paper and it's not fancy at all. I literally just kind of

folded computer paper along my white cardstock and kind of decided where I

wanted my line to be, so that's why I did this. I folded a piece of computer paper

that I can slide my card into and this is just going to give me a line

that I can follow with my stamp. Super easy.

I'm going to start with my lightest color which is Tempting Turquoise and to

start with to get the lightest color I'm actually going to ink up my stamp and I'm

going to stamp it off on scratch paper and that wasn't very good let me try that

again. Stamp off on scratch paper once and

then I'm going to stamp it onto my paper so that's going to give me a lighter color.

So if you only have a few colors of ink the way that you can get more ink colors

out of them is to stamp them off. To get the next image I'm going to ink it up,

I'm gonna stamp it off again and then I'm going to ink up just the top half of

my stamp to give the top half a little bit darker color and then I'll just

stamp that right above my first image. So you can see it's just starting to get a

little bit darker. Now I'm going to fully ink this up again with my Tempting

Turquoise and I'm gonna stamp it again.

Next I'm going to go to my darker color so I'm going to ink this up with

Tempting Turquoise and then I'm going to move on to Bermuda Bay so I'm going to take

this and ink up just the top half so it's already Tempting Turquoise. I'm going to

ink up half of it Bermuda Bay and then stamp that again. The next thing I'm

going to do, and you can clean your stamp in between because I'm using the same color

I don't feel that I really need to, then ink it up full strength Bermuda Bay and

stamp it again and then I'm going to ink it up full strength Bermuda Bay and I'm

going to move on to my next color and then I'm just going to ink up just the top part

with Pacific Point, stamp it again, and then I'm going to ink up full strength with

Pacific Point, stamp it again, ink it up with Pacific Point and then do just

the top in Dapper Denim so it's giving me a two-tone look. Then we'll go full

strength Dapper Denim

and that wasn't the best stamp. I could probably fix that if I really wanted to.

I'm going to ink it full strength Dapper Denim and then finally just the

top half with Night of Navy.

And that's how you do gradient stamping! So I want to show you just a little bit

of difference between the two that I made and that is on this one I went all

the way up to Night of Navy. I didn't do the extra lighter, I didn't do this

with Tempting Turquoise, that's stamped off once and then full strength so you

can see how it's just a little bit different but I really hope that you

will give this gradient stamping technique a try. So just a quick recap.

You're going to want to use a bold stamp, that's going to give you the best look for

gradient stamping. You want to pick your colors and really play around with them.

Don't be afraid to get creative. If you want them on an angle like this just

create a simple template with your computer paper. Always start with the

lightest color and then move to the darkest color and finally if you'd like

to get surprise stamp sets like this in Paper Pumpkin kits you can find more
