How to Get Rid of a Double Chin Permanently In 1 Month -- Remedies For Double Chin Removing - Duration: 4:35.

How to Get Rid of a Double Chin Permanently In 1 Month.

We've all tried tricks to hide a double chin—wearing a high-neck top or scarf and

tilting our heads just right when our photo is taken.

There's no denying it.

The extra layer of fatty tissue under our chins is most often caused by being overweight.

Sagging skin under the chin can also occur as we age and our skin loses elasticity.

For a few, it can be genetic.

While there are surgical procedures that can eliminate a double chin, they can be expensive.

There are many simple home treatment options to get rid of a double chin that are pocket-friendly

and painless.

Here are the top 6 ways to get rid of a double chin.

1.

Cocoa Butter:

When cocoa butter is used regularly, it will improve the elasticity of your skin and help

get rid of your double chin.

1.

Slightly warm a few tablespoons of cocoa butter in the microwave.

2.

Gently massage it into your neck and double chin for several minutes.

3.

Do this twice a day, before taking a bath in the morning and every night before going

to bed.

2.

Wheat Germ Oil:

Regular neck massage with wheat germ oil is another effective way to get rid of a double

chin.

Wheat germ oil has the goodness of vitamin E oil that will nourish and help tighten the

skin.

1.

Before going to bed, rub some wheat germ oil gently around the chin area.

2.

Gently massage upwards from the bottom of the neck to the chin for 10 to 15 minutes.

3.

Leave the oil on your skin overnight.

4.

Repeat regularly to soon notice improvement in the appearance of your double chin.

3.

Egg Whites:

An egg white mask can be of great help in getting rid of a double chin because it has

a skin tightening effect.

Egg whites are also good for the overall health of the skin.

1.

Whisk together two egg whites, one tablespoon each of milk, honey and lemon juice.

2.

Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil.

3.

Apply this mask to the skin around your chin and neck area.

4.

Leave it on for 30 minutes.

5.

Rinse it off with lukewarm water and pat dry your skin.

6.

Do this once daily for quick results.

4.

Glycerin:

You can also make a natural mask with glycerin to get rid of a double chin.

1.

Make a mask by mixing one tablespoon of glycerin, one-half tablespoon of Epsom salt and a few

drops of peppermint oil.

2.

Use a cotton pad to apply it on the neck and chin area.

3.

Leave it on for several minutes so that it absorbs into the skin.

4.

Wash the area thoroughly with cool water.

5.

Do this three to five times a week to get positive results.

5.

Milk Massage:

Milk massage can also be used to tighten and tone the skin around the chin area.

Plus, applying milk will also keep your skin soft and beautiful.

1.

Apply milk on your chin, massage for a few minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm

water.

Repeat several times a day for several weeks.

2.

Another option is to make a mask with milk and honey.

Mix the ingredients well and apply it over the chin area.

Leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.

Follow this remedy once daily.

6.

Sugar Free Gum:

To get rid of a double chin, it is essential to keep your facial muscles toned and give

the muscles in your jaw line a workout.

One of the best ways to do that is to chew sugarless gum.

Sugar free chewing gum can even help you maintain healthy teeth and gums.

Simply chew sugarless gum several times a day to reduce your double

chin as quickly as possible.

Gouache Illustration - Gathering Beauty - Duration: 20:56.

Hey everyone!

I am back with a new video and this one is another artwork.

But before I get started with my process, especially how I approached turning inspiration

into an idea and into an artwork, I just want to put up a quick warning that this video

and this artwork do contain nudity.

So if you're uncomfortable with female nudity in particular, then by all means, you are

free to click out of the video.

I don't really know if this warning is necessary, but just to be safe, I'm putting it out

there.

I don't know, maybe you weren't expecting this kind of content from me.

So I'm giving you a fair warning.

Speaking of, it's just that there's this whole issue and discussion about art and nudity,

which is quite interesting.

It made me think about why artists tend to paint or draw nude figures.

So I guess I'm asking anyone out there why they paint nude people or why they think artists

like to paint nude people.

I think it does have to do with celebrating the human body, and it can also very empowering

for women, and I guess unless the art is a depiction of or is a clear depiction of erotic

subject matter, then I think that the intention of drawing a nude figure is less likely to

be sexual.

I'm not really sure.

So let me know what you guys think.

For me personally, it has come down to whether or not clothing adds to the narrative of the

art I want to make.

So usually I would have this internal debate before, during and after creating the artwork.

I find myself asking if the clothing I will draw is necessary or if it will contribute

to what I want the artwork to say, which might feel a little pretentious.

And might actually be overkill and I might also just be over thinking small things and

maybe I shouldn't be focusing on that, but it's just – I don't know.

That's why I want to know what you guys think about art and nudity.

For example, with a pervious artwork that I created, and I'm talking about the artwork

called 'But that's How We Grow', I felt like that was about personifying an idea,

which is why I made the decision to paint her nude.

With other artworks, I felt like it's more about creating characters that are meant to

live in this world or in a made up world.

They might have a personality that maybe strengthens the narrative and also why they're painted

in that scene or with those other elements.

And one example of this is my artwork called 'You Were Once My Lover.'

I specifically made her outfit fit her character.

And another example would be my artwork called 'Built as Warriors' because they also

had their own identities, and so the clothing tried to reflect that.

Whether or not it was successfully, I don't know.

But that was kind of what I tried to do.

So whenever I create art, I tend to think if the clothing will contribute to who this

person will become because like I said, for me, clothing creates a personality.

I mean there's a reason the idea of costume design exists and why it's also important

because clothes say just as much of a character as it does with other things.

But like I said, if I do feel like it's necessary for the character I'm depicting

in the artwork to have a distinct personality because I feel like it contributes to the

narrative I'm trying to tell, then I'll often choose the clothing carefully.

But if I want to say that this is a girl, and I don't want to say that this is a specific

type of girl – but more like it could be any type of girl – it could be any girl,

then sometimes I do feel like I don't want to add clothing.

I don't even know if I'm making sense anymore.

For this artwork, it's a bit different in terms of the approach because initially I

wanted to add clothing to the figure, and unfortunately there's no footage because

I just forgot to film that part.

I don't even have an excuse; I just forgot to film that part.

But yeah, I added it to the sketch and eventually decided against it before moving on to the

painting.

And the reason why I didn't go through with it was because it felt like the clothing could

become a distraction or that it could compete with the other elements in the composition.

So for this artwork, I eventually decided against that.

I mean I kind of knew how I was going to paint almost everything with the gouache.

Or at least I knew that I would use a lot of layering with the gouache, and that the

artwork would have a lot of lines because of the layering, especially on the skin and

the hair, so if I added the clothing, it might look busy.

At least that was kind of my hypothesis.

I don't know whether or not it would look busy because I never really did it.

This was kind of fairly spontaneous in terms of the process, but I'll talk about that

later on.

So moving on, but still on the topic of art and nudity, I did notice that in the previous

year or two, the figures that I have been drawing are nude or at least the majority

of them.

And it's kind of also what made me ask the question why I draw nude people, especially

coming from someone who loved drawing clothing on women, and becoming this person right now

who is drawing a lot of women without clothing.

So it just made me question that.

And I guess what I just said before are the reasons that I could come up with.

But aside from this, I also do want to celebrate the human body because I fell in love with

the beauty of the human form, especially when I did practice drawings and trying to improve

my skills in drawing anatomy.

I love seeing the curves and continuously trying to grasp how the body moves, because

every time I draw a figure in a different pose, I always find that even if I have done

these said studies of the human body, it surprises how much I still don't know.

And it's such a great slap in the face, and a way of my art telling me that I shouldn't

feel competent of my current abilities.

Like okay, there are times when I feel like my skills are really bad, but then there are

also times when I feel like my skills are really good.

And it's just about finding the right balance, because I don't want to feel cocky, because

I know that in reality I am actually not that good, and that I shouldn't ever feel super

confident with where I am now if I want to continuously grow.

So I take it as a sign that I should continuously expand my knowledge and my skills of things

that even I thought I was "finished" doing studies of or "finished" learning.

I guess that's also one of the reasons why it's so interesting to draw the human body,

because for me, that's still one of the things that I don't think I will ever stop

learning, and something that I will never really fully grasp.

But yeah!

Now, I would love to know what you guys think.

If you draw nude people, let me know why.

That is really something that I want to know, because it was pretty cool kind of to sit

down and think about the reasons why I do the things that I do.

Moving on to the process of this artwork.

I am so sorry if I went on a tangent there, I was only supposed to give a quick warning.

But like I said, this artwork is made with gouache and I am really happy to finally be

able to produce my first gouache painting on this channel – and not just a sketch

because I have done a video where I painted with gouache on my sketchbook, but that was

a practice sketch.

This one is more of an artwork or a finished artwork that I put more time and effort into,

and something that I am happy to make prints of.

Which by the way leads me to saying that there are prints sold for this on my society6

And you can also purchase at my storenvy, but I should stop right there because self-promo

and self-plug in happens at the end of this video.

For this painting I did enjoy this.

Like oh my gosh it was so much fun.

I don't know if you know about gouache.

I know some of you have heard of gouache.

People often describe it as something between watercolours and acrylic paints because it's

opaque like acrylics, but when watered down, it's transparent like watercolours, and

it dries matte.

That's pretty much I guess the general description of gouache.

I don't know, I'm not really an expert or I haven't' used gouache for that long

to really be talking about it, but I am still going to be talking about it.

So yeah!

Layering with gouache was really fun, you could just get lost in the whole process like

I did, which can be risky because you can end up overworking the painting.

But then again, I don't really know if that's really possible.

I feel like maybe you can just go places with gouache paints.

Maybe it's not like watercolours, which you can easily overwork.

I don't know I am still yet to find out.

But yeah!

It's so very therapeutic especially when I was colouring in the skin and the hair.

That's probably my favourite part of the painting because I just had so much fun with

that.

And I've been wanting to use gouache for a while now and I kind of procrastinated on

that because I was scared that I wouldn't create something that would satisfy me or

that I wouldn't create something that I would be proud to share, especially here on

YouTube and on social media considering that I do share my art.

So that was kind of what stifled me from using gouache especially on a finished artwork.

And I really shouldn't have procrastinated or let fear decide for me.

But that's over now and I was finally able to create a finished artwork with gouache

and I am super happy with how it turned out.

You really just got to go for it even if you're scared.

You have to push yourself I guess.

Anyway, this artwork doesn't really have a deep meaning or whatever.

It's definitely not like the previous ones that I have put up here on YouTube which are

more centred on an idea that I wanted to get across.

This one is more of an artwork where I just wanted to draw what I wanted to draw because

it was pretty.

I've always wanted to draw a girl carrying flowers on her head, because I really like

the pose or that the pose is really nice, and eventually that turned into this.

That was pretty much my inspiration.

It was a girl carrying something on her head, and I wanted her to be carrying flowers in

particular.

So with that, I did set myself a goal once I had the inspiration.

And I asked myself what I wanted to achieve with this because like I said, there's no

meaning to this artwork, and so the goal wasn't about getting the idea across or trying to

tell a story or whatever.

And I've drawn a lot of girls as well, and I've drawn a lot of flowers, so it also

felt like I was still very much in my comfort zone, and that's why I set a goal where

I would also explore something new.

And I decided that I would draw different kind of flowers that I've never drawn before,

because for someone who likes to incorporate flowers, I kind of just have a go-to flower

that I draw, and yeah I guess I just wanted to expand a little bit on that.

I didn't want to get stuck drawing just one type of flower.

I chose to draw flowers from my childhood, because back when I was still in the Philippines,

I pretty much was born and I grew up there.

My mum loves gardening a lot and so we had a few variations of flowers in our house in

the Philippines.

I kind of just remember our house being really colourful in terms of the garden because there

just were so many flowers and it was really nice.

And it was also kind of weird that I haven't drawn them at all considering that they are

part of my childhood.

Like I played with flowers a lot with our neighbours and cousins.

And doing that actually made me miss those days and I kind of just became really nostalgic,

but that the same I was really excited to be able to incorporate that part into this

artwork.

After I've set my goal and decided what I wanted to achieve with this artwork, I then

did some research or at least for this particular artwork I looked up reference photos for the

flowers that I would draw.

And they also had to be to scale with the girl, because a lot of the flowers that we

played with when I was really young tend to be really small, so it would be really hard

to paint them with the gouache on that scale and on that size of paper.

So yeah!

And with the reference photos of the flowers, I actually didn't practice drawing them.

I didn't even draw them on the sketch, I just went straight for it with the gouache

paints, which is probably why they don't look as close as how the flowers look in real

life.

But I was still really happy that I was able to expand on the kinds of flowers that I draw.

And of course after I've done the research, that's when I draw it.

And that's pretty much the approach I had for this artwork in terms of turning inspiration

into an idea that could become an artwork.

I had the inspiration, which were flowers and wanting to draw a girl in this pose, and

then I set my goal which I feel like is really important.

And my goal was wanting to draw these specific flowers.

And because this artwork isn't about getting an idea across, then I skipped some steps

like brainstorming symbols and colour choices, which I would usually do for the previous

artworks that I have done.

For example, the most recent one, which was 'I Dreamt of a Universe'.

Yeah I am skipping those steps in this artwork.

And I went straight ahead to doing the research and I also skipped the step of testing out

choices, which I also did in the previous artwork called I Dreamt of a Universe',

because like I said this one is fairly spontaneous compared to the other ones.

So I immediately drew and painted the artwork, and was really happy that it turned out the

way that I wanted it to, therefore I didn't have to repeat it or do more tests and mock

ups of the pose or of the flowers, or of the colours, stuff like that.

And yeah!

I'm planning to make a more elaborate video on how to turn inspiration into an idea and

into an artwork, so watch out for that, but for now, that is only the basic idea.

And that is it for this video!

I hope you enjoyed this.

If you did, please don't forget to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe if you

[EPISODE 14]

Then...

Who was the real culprit that framed Park Sun Woo?

[FEBRUARY 2000]

Synced & ripped by bozxphd Subtitles by DramaFever.

Injoo Cement President Jang Sung Chul's son.

Jang Tae Jin?

That's right.

It was him.

It looks like Sun Woo can't make it today.

You should just go, I have a guest over.

Okay.

Is this the girl that Park Sun Woo is tutoring?

What?

Yes.

Why? Are you planning to go to Seoul University?

A pumpkin can't become a watermelon, you know.

That punk Park Sun Woo sure is annoying

whether it's in school or outside.

Are you two really just studying?

Or are you up to something else?

And what makes you so great?

You're only in first place because of all the tutoring you get.

What?

Sun Woo is in third place at school even though he studies by himself.

So the actual smart person...

aren't the ones who rely on their dads.

It's people like Sun Woo.

Gosh, I'm going crazy here.

The son of Injoo Cement's president, Jang Tae Jin.

That's who it was?

Yes, it was.

Jang Tae Jin.

It was him.

That was all you had to say.

That was all you needed to say.

How could you?

To my innocent brother?

That's enough, Park Hae Young.

You know what happened to my brother.

The real guilty person is living his life as if he's done nothing wrong.

My brother did nothing wrong.

He died at that young age.

Sun Woo...

Sun Woo died?

That's right.

He committed suicide.

What do you mean suicide?

That can't be.

That can't be possible.

After I pulled myself together, I went to see Sun Woo.

Hae Seung.

I meant what I said before.

You didn't do anything wrong.

The ones who did this to you are out there.

So forget everything and start over.

It's okay.

I'm going to start over again too.

I'm not going to give up on my life.

Sorry.

I'm sorry.

When I last saw Sun Woo...

he didn't come off like someone who would ever commit suicide.

He had a bright expression on his face and he consoled me.

I held on all this time because of Sun Woo's words.

I forgot everything.

I thought I forgot everything.

I believed that and tried to endure.

I'm sure that's how you lived.

But it wasn't like that for my brother.

As soon as he got out...

he slit his own wrists.

That can't be.

It's not too late now.

Please reveal my brother's innocence.

In order to do that, we need your testimony.

No, I can't do it.

I have a husband and a daughter.

It was so hard for me to get that family.

I can't lose my family again.

It wasn't your fault, Kang Hae Seung. You were a victim!

Do you know what the hardest part about it was?

It wasn't my fault, but people pointed their fingers at me.

"How did that girl behave and how did she treat her body that this happened?"

It's the same now as it was 15 years ago.

I can't go through that again.

Then what about my brother?

- That's enough. - Kang Hae Seung!

- Kang Hae Seung! - I'm sorry.

Stop it, Park Hae Young.

The statute of limitations on the rape case has already expired.

Even if she testified, there's nothing we can do.

Do you know who Jang Tae Jin is?

His father owns Injoo Cement and his uncle is Congressman Jang Young Chul.

He still lives in Injoo as if he's a king!

My brother died so young.

He was framed and he died so pitifully.

The real culprit is living as if nothing has happened.

What kind of...

What kind of justice is this? Huh?

Park Hae Young!

[FEBRUARY 15, 2000]

Hey, what the hell?

Wow, that's a nice car.

You did great on the Injoo case.

You must be doing really well

with your promotion to Chief of Detectives at Seoul Metro.

What's a person like you doing in a place like this?

You must have been busy, digging up dirt on me for a year.

You must have someone in Internal Affairs too.

And you sure received a lot of bribes here and there.

Yes, I gave Internal Affairs some information.

Even the very high up people won't be able help you this time.

Lee Jae Han!

It's not just you I'm looking into.

Injoo Cement President's son. Congressman Jang Young Chul's nephew.

You know him well, right?

The principal offender in the Injoo case.

The culprit in that case was Park Sun Woo.

Don't you remember?

Right, that's what everyone testified.

Just like you said, everyone in that city kept their mouth shut.

So the only person who will tell the truth...

is you, Kim Bum Joo.

I'm going to make you confess all the dirty deeds you've done.

That includes the Injoo case.

All right.

Let's wait and see who dies first.

Yes, this is Detective Kim Hyun Chul from Seoul Police Task Force.

What happened to those files I sent you?

Where have you been all day?

- Taking care of business. - What business?

You can't sit down. We have to head back out now.

The Chief wants us to stake out on the Yeonwoo-dong burglary case.

The Yeonwoo-dong case? That's not my case.

Hey, there is no your case and my case here.

This guy has hit over 20 places this year.

We have to catch him.

Yes, we have to get him.

Let's go.

Follow her. Get going.

Okay.

But I thought another team went on a stakeout already.

Cha Soo Hyun is very worried.

Because of Jae Han?

He's been strange since he got back from Injoo.

He doesn't laugh or talk much.

At times like this, it's best to just work and not think.

What is he going around doing, and where?

His face doesn't look good either.

What kind of justice is this? Huh?

What do I do then? What do I do?

There's nothing we can do.

We still have a chance.

Maybe not now, but in the past.

I'm sure that there's a way.

If they can catch the real culprit back then

my brother and Detective Lee Jae Han can both be saved.

Park Hae Young!

Maybe not now, but in the past.

I'm sure that there's a way.

If they can catch the real culprit back then

my brother and Detective Lee Jae Han can both be saved.

Please, please.

Please...

Synced & ripped by bozxphd Subtitles by DramaFever.

Detective. Detective Lee Jae Han.

Detective Lee Jae Han?

Detective. Detective Lee Jae Han.

Detective. Detective Lee Jae Han.

Detective Lee Jae Han.

Detective... Detective Lee Jae Han.

Detective, it's me.

Detective Lee Jae Han.

Lee Jae Han?

Detective Lee Jae Han?

Hey!

Hey!

Detective, are you listening?

Detective Lee Jae...

Hey, is he gone?

Just because I'm sleeping, does it mean you stop paying attention too?

I'm sorry.

I thought I heard a radio transmission, so I was looking to see what it was.

A transmission?

Your good luck charm.

I'm sure it made a sound, and there were lights too.

Why would that old thing make a sound?

Stop losing your focus and go that way to find him.

This is...

What is this doing...

[CITY OF INJOO]

Gosh, I lost again.

You little punk.

You knew from the start that Jang Tae Jin was guilty of the 1999 case, didn't you?

You knew that my brother was framed and dying away.

Yet, you just watched and did nothing, isn't that right?

So what?

Yeah, so what?

It's been 17 years.

Why is there so much fuss over it now?

"So much fuss"?

Did someone besides me come looking for you?

That man. An older detective.

Was that detective's name Ahn Chi Soo?

Wow, I guess the police world is small too.

What did he say?

I asked you what did he say?

He wanted me to testify about Sun Woo having that scarf.

I heard that you told Park Sun Woo about that red scarf.

The evidence that will prove Jang Tae Jin is guilty of the Injoo case...

Why are you suddenly bringing that up?

And you were the one who brought that scarf to Park Sun Woo.

So what about it? Huh?

Whether Park Sun Woo has it or not, the statute of limitations has expired.

So what are you trying to investigate now?

That's not the case that I'm looking to investigate.

I'm not trying to expose the Injoo case.

He wasn't looking into the Injoo case, but another case?

That was everything.

He asked me that and left.

Do you know where Section Chief Ahn Chi Soo went after that?

Synced & ripped by bozxphd Subtitles by DramaFever.

This is the file that Section Chief Ahn Chi Soo requested few days ago.

[PARK SUN WOO DEATH INVESTIGATION] The copy machine is that way.

He didn't ask for the Injoo gang rape case files?

You're sure he asked you for these files?

Yes, I'm sure.

Section Chief Ahn Chi Soo requested the investigation files before his death.

It was the files for Lieutenant Park's brother's suicide 15 years ago.

You remember that radio

that Detective Lee Jae Han carried like a good luck charm?

You stuck that yellow smile sticker on there, right?

Did you find a radio among the Section Chief's belongings?

With a yellow smile sticker on it?

This is definitely Senior's radio.

That's odd.

I know it made a sound.

Hey! Who said you can touch my stuff?

Is this really broken?

Seriously? Look, none of the lights work.

Then why do you carry it around? It's heavy.

What?

I heard it's like your good luck charm.

Why is it your charm?

Why do you need to know that?

Why are you being so bothersome?

Hello, I'm Cha Soo Hyun from Seoul Police Task Force.

You're the detective

in charge of the attempted rape case in Kangyeon-dong.

Yes.

We looked into it and it turned out to be her boyfriend.

It didn't have any connections to Yeonwoo-dong.

Ah... I see.

If you're in Violent Crimes Team 1, you must know Lee Jae Han.

Do you know Senior Lee Jae Han?

Oh yeah. I worked with him at Yongsan Precinct.

You don't have to do this.

Oh no! You helped me with my case, so it's the least I can do.

If you were at Yongsan Precinct, you must know Senior Lee Jae Han well.

Yeah, pretty much.

Then you must know about that radio.

Radio? What radio?

Oh, that thing Jae Han always carries around?

It's broken and doesn't even work, so why does he carry it around?

That thing?

I heard it's related to his first love.

First... love?

His first love died.

That's why he carries it around.

He's as big as a mountain, but he's a total romantic.

He still doesn't go to the movie theaters, right?

When that girl died, she left movie tickets for him.

Oh, this is good.

Senior, what are you doing on Christmas?

I got these free movie tickets.

You should go watch it with a friend.

I don't watch movies.

What?

I don't watch them.

Yeah, that was months ago!

Did I do that? I'm just doing what I was told.

I told them already, but it's been two, three months now.

You should have told me back then.

I'm going insane here.

Fine, I got it and I'll pass it on. Just wait and see then.

What, what?

They're bringing up the files now. It's been so long.

Me too! I want the udon noodles.

I want udon.

Here, you eat some too, Soo Hyun.

- Let's eat. - This is like the old days.

You should eat.

What's she doing? Hey!

- Hey, what... - Hey, hey!

Hey, what are you doing? What's wrong?

Get it together.

I'll do it.

Is something wrong?

Now I can't even drive.

I think riding a bike would be okay.

Hey!

What was that? Is the women's bathroom broken?

Synced & ripped by bozxphd Subtitles by DramaFever.

Hey! Did you get hurt? Are you okay?

I'm sorry. I'll put it up again.

Hey, don't.

I'll do it. Just sit down.

Let me see.

It looks swollen. Will you be all right?

I'm fine.

What's wrong with you lately?

How are you supposed to work in the field if you're so unfocused?

Do you want to cause a big accident out there?

Have you still not forgotten her?

What?

Your first love.

That person who died.

I guess you're not too hurt, seeing as how you're talking nonsense.

Make sure to ice it, just in case.

You were in charge of this case, weren't you?

Park Sun Woo's suicide in the year 2000.

Who are you?

I'm Park Sun Woo's little brother.

I know it's odd to show up suddenly like this.

It's very important to me.

Here you go.

Was there anything off about the investigation back then?

Anything that seemed suspicious to you?

It's exactly as I wrote here.

If you're the brother of the victim, you must remember, since you were there.

Sun Woo, Sun Woo!

Sun Woo!

Open your eyes, Sun Woo.

Sun Woo!

Sun Woo.

Sun Woo...

Sun Woo.

Sun Woo...

Synced & ripped by bozxphd Subtitles by DramaFever

I'm not getting a pulse.

Get the crash cart.

Excuse me.

I'm looking for a boy who got brought in by a 911 call.

Hae Young!

Mom, Sun Woo...

Sun Woo...

Sun Woo!

Sun Woo...

I'm sorry.

There were no signs of struggle in the room

or signs of physical altercation.

Sun Woo!

Sun Woo!

It seems that your son was depressed.

The injuries he had were consistent with that.

It's almost certain that it was a suicide.

But if you still want an autopsy...

No.

I don't want anymore knives on his body.

Park Hae Young.

Dad.

Don't think of seeing your mom or brother again.

But...

Mom!

I'm not trying to expose the Injoo case.

This is the file that Section Chief Ahn Chi Soo requested few days ago.

If you think you can handle the truth

come down to Injoo.

What was the Section Chief looking into?

[FEBRUARY 17, 2000]

Hey!

You suffered so much.

Chul Soo.

Synced & ripped by bozxphd Subtitles by DramaFever.

Mom.

Let's just go quietly.

You're hungry, aren't you? Eat up.

Put the plates in the sink once you're done.

I have to go to the restaurant.

What about... Hae Young?

Where is Hae Young?

Don't think about seeing Hae Young again.

Lee Dong Jin.

I didn't come here to get mad at you.

I heard everything while I was inside the youth detention center.

About who's really guilty.

You don't have to do anything.

I'll take care of it.

Just tell me where that is.

Wh... what?

The red scarf.

Where is it?

I'll be going now.

What are you doing here?

Oh, do you know this person?

He said he's here to fix his watch.

So this person is your dad, Detective Lee Jae Han?

I'm so sorry, I didn't know who you were.

I'm Kim Bum Joo, I used to work with your son.

Oh my. I didn't even realize that.

I'll get you a cup of coffee.

- Just a moment. - It's okay, Dad.

Come out.

What's the problem?

It would be rude of me to refuse your father.

Just come out.

What is it?

The busy Chief of Detectives is here to get a watch fixed.

You must have something to say.

Say it.

You're his one and only son.

You should pay attention your family.

Your father's watch business is going through some hardships.

If he's not careful, he could lose the store.

It's a store that he devoted his life to.

You should be considerate of your father too.

You did a lot of investigating.

This must be your method.

You find peoples' weaknesses and exploit them.

But you must be under some pressure to come all the way here.

What is it?

Is the great Congressman Jang Young Chul

not helping you with the IA investigation?

Stop pretending to be so much better than others.

Whether it's justice or sense of duty, do you think I don't know those things?

Nothing changes even if I try to protect those things.

The world will still move on just the same.

Don't be this way.

Take this opportunity when you can.

Jae Han, you're still young.

This is the right path for you and your father.

The first... that first time. That's how it starts.

If one starts falling for money little by little like that...

I would become like you.

A hunting dog that you use and throw away.

An expendable thing that you toss when it gets old and useless.

Rather than become like that...

I'm okay if things are a little...

No, I'm okay even if things are really hard and difficult.

Living this way is better than that.

Synced & ripped by bozxphd Subtitles by DramaFever

I need to speak to the Congressman.

The Congressman is busy right now and won't be able to speak to you.

- Then... - Goodbye.

Hello? Hello?

Synced & ripped by bozxphd Subtitles by DramaFever.

What is this? Wait a minute.

Wait! I just need one moment.

Just get out of my way, would you?

- Hey! - Congressman.

Just like I did in the past, I will live for you, Congressman.

Please help me with the IA investigation.

Hurry up and stop him!

I was the one who helped you with the bridge news issue.

I protected that gold badge of yours, Congressman.

As always...

Japanese meat is good.

Do you know why this meat is tasty?

They are very serious about the pedigree of the cows starting from their births.

They are quite different from other cows.

They listen to music in case they get stressed.

They even receive massages.

For a mere cow, it is quite the life.

What is the reason for doing all this for just a cow?

To make them delicious.

And slaughter them to eat.

It's the same for a hunting dog.

However...

The hunting dog has gone crazy and is now useless.

Then what should I do?

Should I throw it away or...

beat it to death?

One of the two.

It depends on you which of the two I choose.

I'm telling you to stop running around like a crazy dog.

Why don't you go to the hospital or something?

Yes, this is Lee Jae Han.

Detective, this is Sun Woo.

Sun Woo? Park Sun Woo?

Yes, I got out today.

Okay. Hold on.

Okay, let's talk.

Yeah, I see.

Are you feeling well? How is your health?

I was planning to head down to Injoo anyway.

I have something I need to tell you too, Detective.

Something to tell me? What is it?

I have evidence for Hae Seung's case.

Are you sure? What is it?

It's a red scarf that Hae Seung was wearing on that day.

A scarf?

I can't trust anyone else.

I want to give it to you myself.

All right, I'll be there soon. Stay home and don't go anywhere.

Okay.

- I have to leave the city. - What?

I need to take a day off.

Okay.

Hey, the Yeonwoo-dong burglar is making a move!

Let's get going. Hurry!

- Cha Soo Hyun's hurt. Take care of her. - Okay.

I thought you were leaving.

What are you doing? Let's go.

This way.

Are you okay?

Get him, get him!

Cha Soo Hyun!

Are you okay?

- Hey! - Blood...

- You got stabbed. - I'm okay. It's fine.

Take care of Cha Soo Hyun and get her gun.

Synced & ripped by bozxphd Subtitles by DramaFever.

Does it hurt a lot?

Of course it hurts. Do you think it tickles?

Stop crying. I'm not going to die.

How do you know if you're going to die or not?

I'm going to tease you about this for like 30 years.

Once I get out of the hospital...

I like you.

What?

I... like you a lot, Senior.

You can like another woman.

It's okay if you can't ever forget your first love.

Just don't get hurt, and don't die!

Why is she doing that?

[PARK HAE YOUNG]

There was some semen and evidence found at the crime scene.

But they were all deemed unusable.

After that, it was based on witness testimonies.

The statements the witnesses made match to the detail.

But there is one statement that was omitted.

The red scarf.

Red scarf?

A friend I'm close to was part of the team in Injoo at the time.

The victim mentioned something about a red scarf in her first statement.

She was wearing it when she got assaulted.

She left it at the crime scene.

And the results of the investigation into that?

The investigation into that piece of evidence didn't happen at all.

What do you mean?

I'm telling you that it was completely omitted

the part about the red scarf.

The most important piece of evidence mentioned in the first statement

was not investigated at all, but omitted completely?

I think Park Hae Young might be right.

There's something off about this case.

The Section Chief called Park Hae Young to Injoo Hospital, right?

The Section Chief tried to tell me something.

He told me to come to Injoo Hospital.

Sun Woo!

The place where my brother took his last breath.

The place where the Section Chief died trying to tell me the truth.

Injoo Hospital.

There's a good chance that the secret he wanted to tell me is hidden in there.

I need to know what his purpose was and where he was going.

Park Hae Young.

I know why you're hung up on the Injoo case.

I feel regret about your brother's death...

The sirens of the ambulance cars that seemed nearby.

- That case is much more dangerous... - The sound of the stretchers.

If you find out the truth, you'll be in danger like your brother.

Elevator.

The sound of the radios that the ambulance workers used.

He had to be around the emergency room.

If you think you can handle the truth...

come down to Injoo.

Get additional witnesses.

Look through all the black boxes and other videos too.

What about Park Hae Young?

We had someone on him.

Elevator, stretchers, emergency room...

What is it?

Emergency stairs.

Where did he go from here?

Blood lab.

They took my brother's blood back then.

Sun Woo slit his wrists and committed suicide.

There were no signs of struggle.

But, it can't be possible...

It can't be.

The blood sample from 15 years ago is gone, of course.

However...

the report of that blood sample should still be here.

The report from 15 years ago.

[PATIENT RECORDS] The place to find that record.

When I'm done...

I'll call you back.

How can I help you?

Hello. I'm from the Seoul Police.

A few days ago...

Did this person come here?

I already told the detectives that came by.

He came by a few days ago and asked a blood sample.

Which blood sample?

Sample 0035Z04.0.

What's the name of that patient?

It was a male patient that came into the emergency room.

His name was Park Sun Woo and he was 18 years old.

What were the results?

The results of a drug and alcohol screening found...

There was a sedative in his blood.

A sedative?

Yes, there was a sedative of 28 milligram per liter found.

Can a person lose consciousness with that amount of drug?

It's hard to say.

It depends on if that person had been taking them for a while.

And you'd have to know if he had any other illnesses.

If he were an average person...

I would say there's a chance he would have lost consciousness.

Sun Woo...

Sun Woo.

Park Hae Young, what are you doing here?

I told you to watch where you were going.

Don't you know the situation you're in?

If you behave rashly, more suspicion will come your way.

It wasn't...

It wasn't a suicide.

- What? - My brother.

It wasn't a suicide.

What are you talking about?

They found a sedative in my brother's blood 15 years ago.

Someone fed my brother a sedative.

And made it look like a suicide.

The Section Chief wasn't trying to expose the Injoo case.

It was the fact that my brother got murdered.

Who would do that?

Why?

[LEE JAE HAN]

Lee Dong Jin wanted me to give this to you.

Dong Jin's going to study abroad.

He's not coming back.

He wants me to tell you that he's sorry.

The scarf... It was because of the scarf.

The scarf?

The Section Chief was even trying to prove that my brother had that scarf.

He wanted me to testify about Sun Woo having that scarf.

Someone was after that scarf that could prove who was really guilty.

It's okay.

I'm going to start over again too.

When I last saw Sun Woo...

I'm not going to give up on my life.

He didn't come off like someone who would ever commit suicide.

He hadn't given up on hope.

The police, his friends, and all the adults around him had given up.

But he was the only one who didn't.

He tried until the end to prove his innocence.

And I thought...

I thought that my brother had committed suicide all this time.

Park Hae Young.

My brother...

I cannot let him die again.

I have to stop it.

What you said before...

Is that what you're talking about?

You said maybe not now.

But you could save them in the past.

Is that what you're talking about?

I need to ask you something.

Why do you have this?

I know better than anyone.

This radio belonged to Senior Jae Han.

So why do you have it?

Hey, 0.5.

I like you.

I... like you a lot, Senior.

What?

You can like another woman.

It's okay if you can't ever forget your first love.

Just don't get hurt, and don't die!

Hey.

She's totally knocked out.

Get up.

Man.

It's hot in here.

Oh, my stomach hurts.

My stomach.

Hey you...

Oh man. My stomach. I have to...

Hold on, I have to...

Wait now.

Gosh, what is this?

This hurts.

I have to take this out.

Okay, hold on now.

I thought I was going to die.

Answer me.

Why do you have this?

I talked to you about it before.

I asked you what you would do if you got a transmission from the past.

What do you think it would be like if you could get communicate with the past?

Back then, you said...

I would ask someone to protect a person important to me.

You'd ask someone to protect a person that's precious to you.

I feel that way too.

Even if everything becomes a big mess...

I want to save my brother.

What are you talking about?

During the Kim Yoon Jung abduction case

you asked me how I found Seo Hyung Joon's body, right?

Detective Lee Jae Han told me where to look.

He said it was in a manhole behind the Sunil Psychiatric Hospital building.

He said Seo Hyung Joon's body was there.

Lieutenant Park Hae Young. It's me, Detective Lee Jae Han.

This is the Sunil Psychiatric Hospital in Hanjung-dong that you told me about.

There is a corpse in the manhole behind the building with noose around his neck.

It is Seo Hyung Joon, the suspect of the Kim Yoon Jung case.

Detective Lee Jae Han told me from the year 2000.

Through this radio.

That is nonsense.

That's not all.

Gyeonggi Nambu, the larceny case, and even Hongwon-dong.

The past changed.

And when the past changed...

the present changed too.

Through those transmissions

people who should have died came back to life.

No!

And people that had nothing to do with anything ended up dying.

And the life of a person...

[OH KYUNG TAE] was completely ruined.

If you change one thing with the transmissions

there was something else that changed in exchange.

No!

Everything can be ruined.

That's why...

I couldn't tell Detective Lee Jae Han about his death.

On August 3rd...

He will die at Sunil Psychiatric Hospital.

I couldn't tell him yet.

What...

What are you saying?

The year 2000...

Before Detective Lee Jae Han died...

he sent me a transmission.

I think this might be my last transmission.

It can still change.

Don't ever give up.

Stop talking this nonsense.

How can that be?

How is this... how...

This...

How is this happening?

Lieutenant Park.

I found out the real culprit of the Injoo case.

It's not Park Sun Woo.

I will see it through. Don't worry.

Detective, it's me. Please save my brother.

What? What do you mean?

My brother was framed like you said.

And he will die on February 18, 2000.

He's going to be murdered.

February 18?

I though it was suicide all this time, but it wasn't.

Someone murdered my brother and made it look like suicide.

Are you sure it's February 18, 2000?

You're certain?

Yes, it's that day.

Detective.

Are you listening to me?

Detective Lee Jae Han!

What are you doing right now?

Detective Lee Jae Han!

What is all this?

Park Hae Young, answer me.

That person just now...

Who was it?

I have evidence for Hae Seung's case.

I can't trust anyone else.

I want to give it to you myself.

I said answer me!

That person...

Who was it?

You know who it was.

It doesn't make sense.

Senior Jae Han...

Senior...

is dead.

He is still alive.

Through this radio.

I told you, didn't I? I won't let you get away with it.

Why? Is there something I can't see?

Get a warrant then!

You're more narrow-minded than I thought.

- What happened? - Find Kim Sung Bum quickly.

You have to find him on your own.

I can't get you involved in this, Detective Cha.

The past could already be changing.

Senior?

You do it. You can live.

Don't hold back. Use any method possible to get it.

There is only one method.

Even if everything gets ruined, that's what I'm going to do.

Park Hae Young, you're under arrest for the murder of Ahn Chi Soo.

That's ridiculous.

If you don't give up, that's what happens.

For both you and Senior...

I will not give up.

Nuclear Future Does Not Require Science Fiction - TR2016c 5h26m08s07f - Duration: 29:32.

Electricity can be a byproduct of providing industrial process heat.

-A byproduct of desalinating seawater.

-A byproduct of reducing the lifespan of nuclear waste.

-And a byproduct of valuable fission products.

This is an energy revolution to be driven by manufacturing,

a need for clean water,

and the anti-nuclear movement's

own fear-mongering over spent fuel rods.

Such a future isn't very hard to imagine.

Just as Kennedy could easily articulate broad mission parameters for Apollo 11, by saying

"We choose to go to the moon", a future of energy abundance is already part of our pop-culture.

It is called Star Trek.

First airing in 1966, it took the concept of abundant clean energy, and ran with it.

The thing I liked about Star Trek was that it gave you hope that there was going to be

a positive future.

Because it was taking place, you know, 300 years in the future.

I mean, at the time there were race riots that were going on in my town of Cleveland.

Strife and pollution.

And here you had this civilization that was really healthy.

It was exciting and they were pretty much at peace.

Do you inherently become a better society just because you have access to a more advanced

form of energy?

I've read some a Gene Roddenberry's writings and some of the other writers and their feelings

when they were doing the show.

Yeah, they were talking about dilithium crystals and warp drive for the starships, but basically

it was a nuclear-powered society.

And that's how we were able to become peaceful and live with each other and be able to develop

civilization.

Miss Nichols, there's someone who wants to meet you, he's a great fan of yours.

And I expected to turn around and see some young person, uh, and I turned around into

the face of Dr. Martin Luther King, and he said, yes, I'm a big fan of yours.

And I said thank you very much, and I'm of course I'm leaving the show after this first

year and he said- You cannot!

...And I was taken aback and- Uh, I- I beg your pardon?

He said- Don't you know who you are?

Don't you know what you have?

A character with dignity and beauty and intelligence?

He said- Your most important input is for everyone who doesn't look like us, who sees

us for the first time as we should be seen.

As equals.

As equals.

In peaceful exploration- Michelle, you cannot leave.

Every time mankind has been able to access a new source of energy it has led to profound

societal implications.

You know, the Industrial Revolution and the ability to use chemical fuels was what finally

did in slavery.

You know, people- human beings have had slaves for thousands and thousands of years.

And when we learned how to make carbon our slave, instead of other human beings, we started

to learn how to be able to be civilized people And how to use machines to do what we need

to do, instead of make other people do it.

Based on a utopian future of the 60s, this was where some of us were convinced we were

headed.

Technical realizations we've made since then are pretty simple.

Fusion is hard.

Fission is easy- it can even happen in nature.

Coolant choice is important.

Nuclear fuel can be liquid.

Aye, the haggis is in the fire for sure.

It is hard to create a TV show about space exploration without breaking the rules of

physics... the stars are just spaced too far apart.

But manned exploration of our own solar system, permanent outposts on the moon and mars, and

sending a probe under the ice of Europa, those are all doable with everyday fission of a

non-water-cooled variety.

Extract the water from the soils of Mars.

Separate the hydrogen and oxygen.

We now have a supply of rocket fuel on Mars!

A filling station.

So you don't have to carry all your fuel with you.

Back on Earth, Star Trek features high density human population, unspoiled nature, access

to ridiculous amounts of energy- And apparently, no resource constraints worth fighting over.

Give me a martini, straight-up, with two olives.

For the vitamins.

Gene Roddenberry had a vision of the future where mankind had overcome many of its problems

and desired nothing more than a peaceful quest for knowledge.

Must be kind of boring, ain't it?

A lot has changed in the past 300 years.

We've eliminated hunger, want.

Then what's the challenge?

The challenge is to improve yourself- to enrich yourself.

Is this vision of prosperity and nature as doable as sticking a nuclear reactor on a

probe and melting thru ice?

I've said this many times before, I want to go ice fishing on Europa.

It has had an ocean of liquid water that's been liquid for billions of years.

And every place on Earth we find liquid water, we have found life.

I want to go ice fishing on Europa.

Lower a submersible.

So is this doable?

Is an ecologically sound Earth compatible with 8 billion people living healthy, dignified

lives, chasing their full human potential?

Or is this just another fantasy component of Star Trek, like warp drive, and teleportation?

We're going to exhaust every option until we finally get clear that actually what matters

is making clean energy cheap.

So that we can live in a world where we mostly live in cities, we have high intensive agriculture,

we've got clean energy, we've got clean water, we got recycling your materials... that's

a vision of a world where we can all live modern lives, and it does not- it's not- It

does not require any uh- It does not require any science fiction.

Human beings have done amazingly well over the last half century.

In 1950 there were just 2.5 billion people on Earth.

Today there's more than 7 billion of us.

Everywhere infant mortality has been going down,

and almost everywhere people are living longer lives.

Unfortunately, all of our success has come at a high cost to the natural world.

The number of wild animals on planet earth has declined by half since 1970.

It seems like we're always using nature in some ways,

but, human save nature by not using it.

It's the part of the Earth that we don't use that we leave to wild nature.

Humans use about half of the Earth- half of the land surface of the Earth- The part of

the Earth that's not underwater or under glaciers.

Of that half, about half of the human impact is meat- or 24% of the Earth's surface.

Another 10% is crops.

Another 9% or so is for wood production.

And this is really amazing, 3% of the Earth's surface we use for cities and suburbs- for

the places that we live.

And what's important about that, is that now half of all humans three-and-a-half billion

of us, live in cities and suburbs- and this is going to prove to be a crucial part of

how negative impact will peak and decline in this century.

If we take the right actions today, the overall size of the human population, and our overall

negative impact on the natural world could peak and decline- not by the end of the century,

but within a few decades.

Many of you know that whaling was a huge industry in the early 1800s.

Mostly we hunted whales for their oil.

We used their oil as energy to light up our lamps.

Grand Ball given by the whales in honor of the discovery of oil wells in Pennsylvania.

We save nature by not using it, we save nature by not needing it.

We didn't need the whales anymore, we had a better substitute.

It was kerosene, made from abundant and cheap petroleum, and, we didn't save the whales

by using whales more sustainably, we didn't save the whales by having more efficient lighting

to burn the whale oil more efficiently.

We saved the whales by not hunting them.

This is New England in 1880.

There was only 30% of it forested at that time.

Most of the rest was farmland.

This is New England today.

80% forested.

Martha's Vineyard was really a large sheep farm in 1900.

Today, it's mostly forested.

The forests are growing back, why?

Farms went bankrupt.

We mostly didn't need them for their land anymore.

We became more efficient at growing more food, we grew more food on less land.

We saved all of that nature, allowing the forest to grow back

because we didn't need it.

Look at this beautiful green forest that surrounds Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is only able to save that beautiful nature because it doesn't need it for growing

food or for using it for energy.

And they've made an incredible city, and people worry, you know, they say- Well, if you go

to the city you're alienated from nature, but look!

They can walk into nature from Hong Kong.

Nature's right there.

That sounds nice for Hong Kong, but what about poor countries?

What about developing countries?

What about all the slums?

And- We're talking about industrialization, about factories, where the conditions are

terrible and people are treated miserably.

That was certainly my view.

20 years ago I was involved in an effort to hold Nike and other corporations accountable

for their labor practices in other countries, particularly in Indonesia.

It was a successful effort, and Nike did make some improvements,

but 20 years later I wanted to go back.

I wanted to see what happened to the workers.

Had their lives really improved materially?

I met this young woman, her name is Supartie.

She makes four times more money than the people back in the village, farming rice.

We're growing much more food on much smaller amounts of land, it's one of humankind's most

extraordinary achievements, with great benefits to the natural world.

We use half as much the land, per person globally, to provide our food.

It's only possible for Supartie to live in the city, as long as she doesn't need to make

her own food, and we're making more food for more of us.

In the countryside, when you're a poor farmer you need a lot of kids to you work on the

farm, you need a lot of kids to help you in your in retirement.

In the city, you can invest more in fewer kids.

And that trend is consistent around the world- As women become more powerful,

more educated, as they have more income.

Her grandmother had 13 children, her mother had 6, and you can see it right here.

We don't know what's going to happen next.

There's one scenario that we keep going up, and another scenario we go down.

The high population estimate, where the world goes to 16 billion or more by the end of the

century, is a world of low energy, wood energy, wood, dung and charcoal, and large families,

mostly in the countryside.

A world where the population peaks at 8.5 billion, and then declines by the end of the

century- is a world like Supartie is living.

Higher energy, smaller families, more development, and more opportunity.

This is Maiyishia.

She is one of the 900 remaining mountain gorillas left in the world.

She, as a baby, grew up in Africa's oldest national park in Congo, called Virunga.

In 2007, her parents and much of the rest of her group were killed- by men making charcoal

for energy.

Since then, there's been well-meaning efforts to plant trees, to help people in the region

burn wood more efficiently, and the situation has only gotten worse.

When we visited it in December of last year, this is an aerial photo

that we took above the park.

You can see here, here, here, and here- illegal charcoal burning in the park.

Why?

Because people need it.

Over 90% of the people depend on wood for fuel.

We didn't save the whales by using whales more sustainably, by using whale oil more

efficiently, we saved the whales by using a different kind of energy, by using a substitute.

Supartie uses propane- what we use as camping fuel, similar to natural gas that we all enjoy;

it's an important substitute for the 3 billion people that still depend on wood and dung.

As more of us move to the cities, we're going to consume more energy.

For everybody to live at a moderate living standard, a basic material-needs-met, the

world is going to need to triple, perhaps quadruple the amount of energy it produces

from today.

Propane is a fossil fuel.

What are the clean energy options?

There's not many.

There's solar, there's wind, there's a little bit of geothermal, there's hydro-electric

dams, and there's nuclear power plants.

And- Solar and wind are wonderful; I've spent much of my professional career advocating

for more solar, for more wind, including a wind farm off the coast of Cape Cod.

But solar and wind alone cannot power Shanghai at night, and there's a lot of exciting development

in batteries, but we're so far away from being able to power cities on batteries.

Geothermal is great where it's available, and it's not available in many places.

Hydro-electric dams have mostly been built in the rich world.

We've mostly dammed the rivers, and even in places like China,

many of the rivers have already been dammed.

That means we have to take a second look at nuclear power.

When I was boy, my aunt took me every August to Bittersweet Park, where we would remember

the Hiroshima bombings.

We would light candles, and put them on paper boats.

I saw a television movie about the aftermath of nuclear war.

I was anti-nuclear my entire life.

A million people dying right now, or have died, because of Chernobyl.

You know, I found myself quite disappointed in myself.

And, honestly quite angry at others who were propagating that myth.

More people have died from Chernobyl, than in the black plague.

Fear is a really important emotion, but if we allow fear to drive us, we can end up making

up decisions that actually put us at greater risk.

What's so striking is just to go read the original World Health Organization documents,

and read the public health reports.

It was a complete shock to me.

I mean, I'm reading all the Chernobyl stuff and I'm- I'm- I'm kind of not believing it.

Because it was so out of sync with what I had come to believe.

The biggest medical conspiracy and coverup in the history of medicine, George!

In order to believe that a million people were killed by Chernobyl, which is what Greenpeace

and Helen Caldicott, a number of other people claim- You have to believe there was a cover-up

of just massive proportions by the World Health Organization, by the United Nations, by literally

hundreds of the world's top public health experts.

Close down all those reactors, now!

With solar and wind and geothermal... ...forget about all of the

data and the figures and stuff.

Listen to your intuition, and you'll know what you've got to do.

And then I confronted this data, and the challenge of meeting global energy and development needs,

and also dealing with one of our most serious environmental problems, and I've changed my

mind.

On top of that rock there must be 500 sea lions on top of that rock right now.

This is a nuclear plant in California.

You can see here all around it, natural life, sea life exists,

because nuclear power is zero-pollution.

And- One of the things we've learnt about energy production is that what you want from

an environmental perspective, you want the least natural resource in, the least amount

of fuel in, the most amount of energy out, and the least amount of pollution and waste.

You can't walk alongside a coal plant and not be affected by the smoke.

You can with nuclear.

How do humans save nature?

Moving people out of their dependence on wood and agrarian poverty; Moving away from large

families to medium-sized families; Access to the modern energy so that the forests are

spared, so that forests can grow back from agriculture; the final step, moving toward

small families, universal prosperity, and nuclear energy.

Today we leave half of the Earth for nature.

Can we leave 75% for nature?

We're going to need more lands for cities, but given current trends, higher energy, smaller

families, more development, more opportunity, we can drastically reduce how much of the

Earth we use for wood, crops, and meat production.

Can we do it?

I think we can.

Why am I so confident?

Because we've done it before.

Thank you very much.

Split, don't emit.

Split, don't emit.

What you see behind you are real environmentalists.

We're not caught in some dogma from 40 years ago, and that's why they place the goal of

beating climate change above the goal of building a bunch of solar and wind.

Today, the case for nuclear is being made by environmentalists, engineers, scientists

and specifically- climatologists.

I thought nuclear power was dumb.

And I was an anti-nuclear campaigner.

I found out that it is a zero-carbon power source.

I thought the opposite.

I was wrong.

I used to be strongly opposed to nuclear power.

I was appalled by it.

Well, nuclear power was evil.

I didn't want to go there.

I do have empathy for the people who disagree with me, because I was that person.

People who once opposed nuclear power are the ones speaking the loudest, and the clearest.

I understand where you're coming from because I went through the same process.

You can reach people.

And their message is resonating.

On opening night, I polled the audience, and I asked the same question after the film.

And that was the response.

Common sense says...

I'm Robert Stone I'm the director of Pandora's Promise.

...explaining the value of nuclear power shouldn't be this easy.

If it was, the industry would have done it already.

Have you received any funding from the nuclear industry at all?

No, absolutely not.

But the nuclear industry is not properly incentivised to solve obvious problems like- explaining

what fission is to the public-

I would be a complete idiot to have ever taken a dime from the nuclear industry or anyone

associated with the nuclear industry.

It's an industry that's forgotten to sell its product.

And no other industry acts that way.

You know, there are- There are natural gas advertisements on TV all year long encouraging

me to buy their product.

Airlines, you know, show you pictures of people on beaches.

Part of the anti-nuclear narrative is the big, bad, nuclear industry-

Doctors can't lie.

We would be deregistered.

I would be deregistered.

I would be deregistered.

I would be deregistered.

And they haven't sued me.

And they haven't sued me, so I'm right.

-however...

In my experience in advocacy and outreach, actually standing up for yourself and being

proud of what you do tends to work quite well.

-making it clear that nuclear power is a carbon-free energy.

Nuclear power is essentially carbon-free energy.

-or even addressing people's concerns about fuel rods.

For example, nuclear power plants have been paying into a DoE nuclear waste fund for 35

years.

Permanently housing nuclear waste was not the responsibility of utilities or the nuclear

industry.

It was the responsibility of the Department of Energy.

Nuclear power plants paid into the waste storage fund, based on how much energy their reactors

produced, not how much waste they produced

That's like trying to reduce pollution by paying a head-count carpool tax,

instead of a per-gallon gasoline tax.

How effective in fighting pollution would a carpool tax be?

There's no nuclear industry incentive for addressing the public's fear.

No incentive to communicate that solutions even exist.

Instead, put nuclear plants into early retirement, and free up the billions locked away in their

decommissioning funds.

Such perverse incentives have turned an industry once capable of crystal clear communication

into the punching-bag of fake environmentalists.

Nuclear power produces a substantial amount of global warming gas.

Nuclear power produces massive quantities of global warming gas.

In fact, a nuclear power plant will produce the same amount of CO2 in-toto, as a gas-fired

plant- So you might as well just use gas.

Carbon footprint of nuclear is much higher than wind and solar.

Everything pales in comparison to nuclear!

If the nuclear industry wants to correct misinformation directly, they can do it.

Up and atom!

Up, and, at them.

That is a hundred-million dollar communications challenge-

Up and atom!

Up and, at them!

-for a multi-billion dollar industry.

Up!

And atom!!!

Up and at them!!

They haven't sued me.

So, I'm right.

But they haven't done it-

An AP1000 it's called an eggshell reactor in the industry, so it could easily have an

accident, it's very dangerous.

-and I don't think they're going to do it.

There are growing markets for conventional nuclear around the globe, and we are not living

in one of them.

As everyday middle-class citizens, we can still advance the cause of clean, abundant

energy, without the help of the nuclear industry.

That's because anti-nuclear propaganda depends on a single, easily discredited message-

Safe and sound! -that all nuclear power is the same.

Thorium.

-reprocess -then make the fuel rods with Uranium-233 and put them in the reactor.

As if all cars were wood paneled station wagons.

There she is!

Where?

Right here, it's a wagon!

Correcting that misconception takes people to a new space-

-it convinced a lot of people that thorium was a safer alternative.

Who presented that?

-One they haven't yet explored, and where they haven't yet formed a strong opinion.

I assumed, like most people, the existing Light Water Reactor was a kind of static technology,

and there would be some incremental improvements to it like we improve all kinds of things,

but there wouldn't be a fundamental change in the reactor concept itself.

And when you present that to somebody who's been anti-nuclear their whole life, they go,

huh?

And they think.

That's why thorium, like, do you know you can power a reactor with thorium?

They go what's that?

Well, they don't know what it is, but they know it's not uranium and it's not plutonium!

It's thorium.

Oh, that sounds nice.

And, people are generally open to something new and better, rather than- Oh, the thing

that you've been hating for so long, it's really not that bad?!

I think it's an easier sales pitch.

And also, quite frankly, the Light Water Reactor isn't like, a horror show- by any stretch

of the imagination.

But what we have is something- Molten salt is just so much better.

There's nothing taboo about Molten Salt Reactors.

People don't realize that water is just a choice- And that Molten Salt is already used,

today, in solar energy collecting towers.

Anti-nuclear groups, the thing they most- attack most vociferously, if you see the attacks

against my film?

It's about the fourth-generation stuff.

It's like- This is bullshit!

It doesn't exist!

It's all exaggerated!

It's all problems!

It's like- They've built- tried this for years, it's always been a disaster.

They go after that because it's the most effective deconstruction of all of the things we object

to with nuclear power.

Helping people identify exactly which component of existing nuclear technology is responsible

for their concern, and how we can build something better than what they fear, speaks to everyone's

faith in our ability to solve problems.

Talking about advanced nuclear is not doing the same thing, and expecting a different

result.

It is a new approach, driven by people outside the conventional nuclear industry.

And we're finding- that it works.

We're all part of this broader movement that's changing the way people perceive nuclear technology-

that's redefining what nuclear power can be.

I think in a 5 minute conversation, I can open somebody's mind.

And talking about next-generation reactors is the way to do it.

Some folks can start off simultaneously opposed to nuclear power- and, advocates of thorium

energy.

This contradiction sorts itself out, the moment they start fact-checking a Caldicott.

Thousands of people learn about Molten Salt Reactors every day, in somewhat excruciating

levels of technical detail.

The PDFs are all public domain.

The technical lectures are all free.

The molten salt research conducted in our national labs can be piggybacked on by anyone.

I started learning myself when I stumbled upon some Google Tech Talks in 2009.

Casually, part-time, for the next 2 years of my life- I tried to figure out why Molten

Salt Reactors were a dumb idea.

Eventually, I realized not only were molten salt reactors a pretty good idea, but nuclear

power itself was nothing like I'd imagined.

To anyone concerned about the environment, poverty, exploration or just untapped human

potential, this stuff is inherently compelling.

People are drawn to it, just like every other source of clean energy.

I'm a huge advocate of geothermal.

Also a long-standing environmentalist- and was very against nuclear until quite recently,

when I started to realize all of the renewable energy in the world doesn't even come close

to stacking up to our energy demand.

Then the final tipping point for me, actually, was the opera singer singing about thorium

reactors, and I was like- Wow, these guys care a lot about nuclear energy!

There must be something behind that.

We could have far more clean energy.

We can have next-generation nuclear.

Thorium reactors that have no risk of meltdown.

The energy department are just committed to regulating existing nuclear.

There's next generation nuclear!

Thorium reactors!

That could be encouraged.

And market-based, American solutions that clean the air, reduce emissions, and grow

jobs, make us a more secure country.

Thorium has the potential to make nuclear energy much safer, and more efficient.

I think it's natural to re-examine your beliefs as you age up.

Nuclear's the best way to go for energy for the future.

You and I are religious fanatics- have been- about nuclear.

Nuclear's bad.

And we're the ones then who should lead the discussion.

I remember the intensity of the nuclear debate, I was on the other side of it...

This administration does not support the Department of Energy's Advanced Liquid Metal Reactor

program, and will oppose any efforts to continue the funding for this reactor project.

...but given this challenge we face today?

And, given the progress of 4th Generation nuclear?

Go for it!

No other alternative, zero emissions!

We all know there isn't 4 hours of sun here in Michigan every day, and so on those days

there's no sun... how am I warming up my pizza?

You don't have to explain what the promise of abundant, clean energy means.

Everyone understands this concept.

We're just introducing a very real technology- that can actually deliver.

Republicans have not postponed a vote in the House of Representatives to repeal and replace

Obamacare. This decision was taken mid-Thursday after the conservative Freedom Caucus members

said that they couldnt get behind the package.

*** This is a slap in the face to Donald Trump!

The spokesperson for the bill boasted that he was changing minds just before they called

for a postponement. At the same time that they called for the postponement, Trump was

meeting with Truckers.

Here is what Trump was doing during the announcement:

Ryan the the Republicans are traitors to Trump and they dont want to fix our healthcare:

With no policy changes Im a no, said North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows.

We believe that some of the text and some of the things were being asked to consider

at this point are not in enough of a form to make a good informed decision, he added.

Does it actually lower premiums for the people that we serve?

The vote was due to start at 4 pm but was pushed back because the Republicans couldnt

get anyone to vote on it.

Thats because Ryan Care is a disaster. The Senate Majority leader says that the vote

is postponed till Monday and leaves the opportunity open for more deal-making.

Let me ask you this, though

What the hell of have the Republicans in the Senate and the House been doing all this time.

They knew that Obamacare was a failure. They wined about it. They moaned about it and said

that they had a plan to get rid of it, but when the time came to fix it, they had no

plan.

Thats because the swamp needs to be drained. Lets get rid of all these assholes.

actually buy it if you do buy it guys it

costs you the same price and I do get a

small sales commission so it does help

me and I really appreciate that and

let's check out the options of losing it

because it looks awesome this is both

does not float so he does come with a

little odd capable of firing missiles up

front

then the trunk open and it looks like

the boat shoots out of the trunk looks

like a little jet mobile or something

little Jets I mean yeah little chickies

about that okay ah so let's go ahead put

this together check it out and have some

fun okay let's check out and what would

in the block awesome so it looks like

you got two sets of instructions here

I'll book one book you've got some

stickers if you check in here usually

booked to they'll show you the other set

q

okay so here's some of the other sets

I've already done reviews and speed

builds with stop motion and also stop

motion videos of the Joker one and of

clay face okay let's see what else is in

here so you got bag number two big bag

of Legos in bag number one big bag of

Legos so this is a 305 feet set so it's

nothing too bad let's go ahead and check

it out okay so now we know why the

penguin is so angry looking if I got ate

by a dinosaur in the morning and pooped

out I would be pretty angry looking too

let's go ahead and take a look at the

penguin first so there you could see I

he's got his hat umbrella he's got like

some type of a shawl around his neck and

there's a look at the back you seen me

put him together so you got a better

idea of what he looks like and then

here's a good look at that man he's got

his uh batarangs he's got his off ha

long and everything his utility bill you

could take off his mask and then he's

got like where am I ty blach and on the

other side like serious look so there is

that man

and then he's got his cape of course

that car kind of slippery and then of

course let's take a look at the main

event which is the car this is the

awesome looking car off they made it

look almost like Cruella De Vil the car

if you ever watched a 101 dalmatian the

animated version this looks just like

her car so it is hilarious but ah I

don't know where to start I mean there's

so many options on this car first of all

he's got this cool like fish light type

thing which I really like the tires are

real rubber tires so that is cool nice

detailed windows here move back and

forth you can see like part of the

engines sticking out there big rubber

tires in the front this here is what you

would push down to shoot the missiles

off the front of the car I'll show you

that in a little bit and here's a good

look at the front of the car you got

lights here big oversized light there

you guys are two missiles law that fire

out at the same time when you push the

button over there ok then going down

this side of the car you got the big

fender here which I really like that

looks really cool movable mirror on this

side two rubber tires removable top and

here's a good look at the back of the

car it says high flyer on the license

plate the trunk as like a spare tire and

it swings open and this is where you

rest a little like getaway vehicle so

penguin fits right into that and he

could make it get away so it is it is

almost it almost looks like some type of

like little jet ski with some type of

flipper in the back of course because

penguin is athletic and then ah here's a

look at the trunk so this thing just

slides right into the trunk for a nice

d storage so that's cool here's a good

top view of the car and then let's go

ahead and take the top off so we could

check off the inside because I do like

the insides of the LEGO sets I mean they

they do usually do a really good job of

decorating it so you got a little

steering wheel here that actually move

the penguin fits right in there like

standing up to drive the car the roof

would go right over the top of it got

like a little instrument panel there and

the back there's like a little orange

grab bar and everything back there so

it's not as detailed as the Joker's car

inside if you took a look at the Joker's

ah my lego set with the Joker that one

is really cool also guys if you do like

this set down below the video I got a

link to it will take you to Amazon which

DID THE SENATE JUST SELL OUT YOUR INTERNET PRIVACY ? - politics - Duration: 3:48.

DID THE SENATE JUST SELL OUT YOUR INTERNET PRIVACY?

The U.S. Senate approved S.J.

Res. 34 today in a 50-48 vote, and the bill would roll back FCC rules setup by the Obama

administration.

Known advocates for civil liberties from the Democratic and Republican parties faced off

in an ideological debate to repeal the FCC legislation.

After a heated debate, the vote passed 50-48.

It was first introduced by 23 Republican Senators which sources have claimed are lobbied

by the telecoms and ISPs. American Civil Liberties Union representative Neema Singh

Giuliani agreed that they were protecting broader interests, reportedly saying:

It is extremely disappointing that the Senate voted today to sacrifice the privacy

rights of Americans in the interest of protecting the profits of major internet companies, including

Comcast, AT&T, and Verizon.

Opponents argue the bill may allow companies to collect consumer data to target with advertising.

This brings the worry that Internet service providers could assemble detailed dossiers

on their customers without their consent storing everything from browser history to what apps

you download and use on mobile phones.

The legislation was supported by a full Republican vote while Democrats and independents opposed

the measure.

REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRAT RESPONSES: During the debate, Florida Democrat Sen. Bill

Nelson had a strong message in support of FCC privacy rules.

Seven hours and 30 minutes into C-Span coverage of the debate, he described the negative impact

that this bill would have on personal privacy by saying:

Broadband providers, unlike any other companies in the internet ecosystem, are uniquely able

to see every packet of information that a subscriber sends and receives Thats

not the case if you go to Google, because Google only sees what you do while you are

on Google, but the internet [service] provider, the pipe that is carrying your information,

they see everything that you do. Republican Senator Rand Paul was one of the

co-sponsors of this bill, hoping to remove the FCCs privacy protections.

According to a Breitbart report back in 2015, Senator Paul doesnt want the government

involved with the internet at all, furthermore saying that calling it a utility and getting

the government involved is exactly the wrong thing to do.

Advocates of the bill claim it repeals economically harmful broadband regulations issued by the

Obama administration, and would change or lessen existing consumer privacy regulations.

The bill may block an attempt by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to expand

its regulatory jurisdiction and impose prescriptive data restrictions on internet service providers

which may negatively impact consumers and the future of internet innovation.

The focus is now directed at H.J. Res. 86, the House of Representatives draft of this

bill.

Of course, the legislation still has to pass the house, from there it will be up to President

Trump to either take a stand for the current rules or decide to ink the end of the FCC

privacy regulations.

We Are Change will keep you covered on this story as new information comes in.

Burger King® | French Toast Sticks Review! 🍞👑 - Duration: 3:52.

YouTube and social media peep this out

guys it's Ian K back again with another one for

you a quick one for you today is I'm

here at BK to take a look at an item off

of their breakfast menu that looks to be

a pretty decent value and if you're a

fan of french toast this one's most

definitely for you yes sir I've been

meaning to swing back to bk for a little

bit now to take a look at their french

toast sticks and that's mainly because

of the request for many of you guys

shortly after did my review on the

french toast dips at carl's jr. not that

long ago which if you curious to see

how that one went hit the card in the

upper right hand corner of our display

and definitely check it out and it's

with that in mind that I knew I'd return

eventually to see what BK had to offer

with their version of these so let's not

waste any more time guys but before I take

that first bite to give you my thoughts

like I always do let's get right up on

it first for a closer look let's peep

this out

have it your way for breakfast here at

BK even if it's just a quick snack on

the go with their 3-piece order of

french toast sticks with a side of syrup

all for a buck and at roughly 33 cents a

stick that's not a bad deal at all these

actually look pretty decent even if they

are a little on the thin side and what

really strikes me about these aside from

the crispy presentation here is actually

the aroma of funnel cake that I have in

the car right now a little bit of hints

of fried goodness and powdered sugar in

the air even though there's no visible

powdered sugar on it and hey if it's got

that funnel cake like flavor to go with

that aroma I'm gonna be all for it but

there you go it's the french toast

sticks here at BK lets people out this

flavor man the crispy fried sweet smelly

goodness of a funnel cake let's see if

these french toast sticks have the

flavor to match not quite well it's

definitely crispy and fried and while

I'm not really tasting funnel cake the

way I was kind of expecting it to be a

little bit it's not really tasting

anything like french toast either

honestly this is really just kind of

like an overly fried piece of bread with

a little bit of sweetness that's really

it this really doesn't taste like french

toast to me guys just an overly fried

piece of thin bread I think had they

cook this on the grill the bread itself

would have stayed a little fluffier and

it would have been a little better but

overall just very very crispy and very

fried tasting let's see if some of this

syrup can say these guys because so far

I'm not feeling these at all the syrup

has a nice smell in my car right now and

I'm really hoping it's gonna add the

right amount of flavor that this one

desperately needs but overall the

thickness is not bad and it definitely

looks great let's see if it completes

the package little better definitely

some nice maple flavor to go with an

over fried piece of bread but like I

said earlier if the bread was a little

bit thicker that may help even out just

a little bit more of the fried flavor

there but the maple that I'm getting

from the syrup is actually a very nice

touch but like i said the fried flavor

of this overpowers it one more shot of

this one guys i really wish the

thickness of this bread was a little bit

larger to really help balance out the

over fried flavor that I'm getting on

this one but I understand you do get

what you pay for three for a dollar it

is what it is but I think this would

have been a lot better if it was just a

little bit thicker yeah I'm definitely

not gonna finish those even though it will

score a point because of the value of

what you do get for a dollar so on that

bomb sexy for your face scale of 1 to

10 the french toast sticks here at BK

are going to finish out with a mediocre

5 out of 10 it's that extra point that

gets this one to the middle of the road

score wise but if they can just increase

the thickness of the bread just a little

bit and maybe dial back on the frying

time this one will be so much better now

of course that's just my opinion as

always but what do you guys think have

you had these french toast sticks here

at BK and if you have are they truly

worth the value of what you're getting

for a dollar flavor-wise drop a comment

down below definitely let me know and

that's it for this episode of peep this

out guys as you know I've got content

every single week on my channel so while

you stay tuned for the next review

coming real soon in the meantime stay

frosty guess they can't all be winners

but what are you gonna do right alright

everyone have a great weekend I'll talk

to you soon
