Varicose Veins Home Remedy 4 Diuretic Teas for Varicose Veins - Duration: 4:21.

4 Diuretic Teas for Varicose Veins In addition to helping you fight varicose

veins, the diuretic properties of these teas will help prevent fluid retention.

Learn more about the best teas for varicose veins!

Thanks to their unsightly bulging appearance on the skin, varicose veins have been classified

as one of the worst and most common aesthetic problems that affect women today.

Aside from this, however, its important to note that they could also indicate circulatory

or lymphatic health problems, which both trigger an inflammatory response in the tissues.

Varicose veins appear when the unidirectional valves of the veins become weak, decreasing

the flow of blood from the lower part of the body toward the heart.

As a result, the capillaries increase in size and block blood flow, causing the veins to

appear swollen and bruised.

Fortunately, this condition can be treated with a variety of therapies.

Improving your circulation will significantly improve their appearance.

Among the many options are teas that have diuretic properties.

These teas promote the elimination of retained fluid and help reduce this problem.

Today, we want to share the five best options when it comes to teas for varicose veins.

The Best Teas for Varicose Veins 1.

Horsetail tea Horsetail is a natural ingredient that has

anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties.

These are key for reducing varicose veins.

Drinking this tea will improve the circulation through your veins and also tone the capillaries

to prevent inflammation.

Ingredients 1 cup of water (250 ml)

1 tablespoon of horsetail grass (10 g) Preparation

Bring the water to a boil and add the tablespoon of horsetail grass.

All it to steep for 10 minutes and serve.

Mode of consumption Drink two to three cups of this tea a day,

at least three times a week.

2.

Parsley tea Parsley tea is a well known treatment for

fluid retention and the problems with inflammation that are associated with it.

It contains vitamins and minerals that support your bodys detox processes, while stimulating

the removal of any waste that interferes with your circulation.

Ingredients 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley (10 g)

1 cup of water (250 ml) Preparation

Add the parsley to the cup of boiling water and let it sit for 15 minutes.

Strain off the liquid and serve.

Mode of consumption Drink a cup of this tea on an empty stomach

in the morning, and optionally repeat in the afternoon.

3.

Horse chestnut tea The diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties

of horse chestnut have been known for centuries.

Its used as an alternative treatment for the circulatory problems that cause varicose

veins to form.

Drinking a tea or using it to make compresses can both improve your vein health while also

diminishing inflammation and pain.

Ingredients 1 cup of water (250 ml)

1 teaspoon of horse chestnut bark (5 g) Preparation

Bring the cup of water to a boil and add the horse chestnut bark.

Let it steep for 10 minutes before serving.

Mode of consumption Drink one cup of this tea a day for two weeks

in a row.

4.

Witch hazel tea Natural witch hazel tea has diuretic properties

that promote the removal of any retained fluid and stimulate circulation.

The astringent effects strengthen your capillaries and restore the function of the valves that

facilitate return blood flow.

Ingredients 1 teaspoon of witch hazel (5 g)

1 cup of water (250 ml) Preparation

Add the teaspoon of witch hazel to a cup of boiling water and let it steep for 10 to 15

minutes.

Mode of consumption Drink this tea twice a day for three weeks.

AJAZZ AK60 RGB Mechanical Keyboard - I love this keyboard! - Duration: 3:32.

hey what's up guys so we're back for another product unboxing and this time

we have the Ajazz RGB mechanical keyboard from gearbest.com so without further ado

let's jump right into it alright so here's the box and I love the packaging

so there are bunch of papers here and this is a key cap removal tool and has

that clicking thing so let's take a look at these paper things oh these are in

Chinese well all of them are Chinese alright so let's take a look at the keyboard

oh wow so these are black top key caps it's side legends it's really heavy

and it feels so solid alright so let's dive deep into it okay

so it has a heavy duty braided cable and these are not detachable and on the

lower right corner of the keyboard you can find the word first blood and on the

upper right corner of the keyboard there you have the volume wheel the skip and play

and also the light controls the volume wheel works great with this it's easier

to access to volume without having to look at a keyboard and on the bottom

there you can find an Ajazz branding in four rubber pads for anti-slip and two

rubber tip flip-up feet so you can also adjust the light of the keyboard by

pressing this and rotate the wheel clockwise all right so let's play some

and try the volume wheel so all you have to do is to press the same

button to toggle into volume

so everything works great all right so let's talk about the RGB light so you

can cycle on different modes by pressing this or by pressing F N and the keys on

top of the arrow keys so this is the wave mode and this one is the breathing

mode so you can also customize the color by pressing the same key of the same

mode

it's kind of weird using it for the first time cause these are side legends

and the top of the key caps are blank and it felt weird at first but I got

used to it typing experience is really awesome I

like typing on this keyboard and here is how it sounds like and the best part is

playing games with it I've been using it for a month now and

What I Loved About Carnival Vista - Duration: 13:35.

I'm onboard Carnival Vista this week.

It's day 7 of an 8-day southern Caribbean cruise.

And this video is all about what I love about the Carnival Vista.

And at the very top of that list is the Havana pool area at the back end of the ship.

What they've done with the Havana pool area is create a quiet, un-crowded area of the ship...

Where there are always chairs and loungers available...

And where the swimming pool and the two big Jacuzzis are un-crowded and ready for you.

If you've ever sailed on a mega cruise ship before, you know the pools and Jacuzzis can be very crowded.

And all the loungers by the pool either occupied or chair-hogged.

But not in the Havana pool area on Carnival Vista.

My wife and I were always able to find a place to sit and usually had a Jacuzzi to ourselves.

And there was always room in the pool, even on a sea day at peak times.

Now how is that possible, especially considering there are 4600 passengers onboard Carnival Vista this week?

It's because the Havana pool area is for the exclusive use of a small number of passengers

who have paid a little extra to stay in one of the Havana cabins back at the end of the ship.

And if you like a quiet, relaxing time by the pool... believe me, it is totally worth it...

Even though it is a little more expensive than a regular cabin on the ship.

Of the 4600 passengers onboard, only about 130 of us have access to the Havana pool area at the back of the ship.

Now if you want to be social in the Havana area, the best place for that is the swimming pool.

There's usually several other people in the pool, and you can chat with them and get to know them.

The depth is less than five feet, so you can comfortably stand up in the pool and have a nice chat with your fellow Havana cabin guests.

The Jacuzzis are a better place if you need some alone time, just you and your sweetie.

And then also there's plenty of other places on the Havana deck there, by the pool...

where you can sit in a lounger, or on a day bed, and have time to yourself and relax.

The Havana cabins on deck five have really nice balconies where you can sit out and have some quiet time.

If you're cruising with your sweetie, the ultimate Havana cabin is the Havana Suite.

It's the most expensive cabin on the ship, but I think it's worth it.

My wife and I are staying in one this week.

There's only four on the ship and...

If you want some romance, the Havana Suite is for you.

There is a big shower in the bathroom.

Plenty of room for two people to share.

Very romantic experience in the Havana Suites!

I think my wife's favorite part of our cabin was the swing out on the balcony.

And all the Havana cabins on deck five that have balconies also have this swing.

Now there are also interior cabins on deck five that don't have balconies...

And those interior cabins are the least expensive way to have access to the Havana area.

Of course, there's a lot more to like about the Carnival Vista than just the Havana area and the Havana cabins.

Something that no other cruise ship has is the IMAX theater.

A real IMAX theater with a gigantic screen and it shows current movies.

We saw the movie "American Made" with Tom Cruise...

Actually a day before it was released out to most theaters on land.

And you pay regular movie theater prices, so they're not gouging you there.

I really enjoyed seeing a movie in the big IMAX format last night here on Carnival Vista.

Something else I really enjoyed on this cruise, and it worked really well for me...

Was using Carnival's HUB app on my cell phone to keep in touch with my friends, Liz and Kimble and Kat that are cruising with us this cruise.

It was so easy to just text them using Carnival's HUB app.

That text feature only cost five bucks, and boy, that made it just really easy to coordinate with our friends so we could meet up at certain times and certain places.

And five bucks well spent!

The HUB app is actually free, it's just the texting feature that is five dollars to use.

Another thing I really liked about Carnival Vista was that the photos that the ship's professional photo staff take...

are not actually printed out on paper like they are on most other Carnival ships.

That's a huge waste of paper, because most people don't end up buying very many photos.

On Carnival Vista, those photos are displayed electronically rather than printed out.

You can sort through them and pick out whichever ones you like and they'll print those for you.

Also, one of the best things about any Carnival cruise is all the fun and entertainment onboard.

You can see the water park behind me.

I went down the water slides and had fun.

Clearly, all the kids were having fun on the water slides.

And I enjoyed watching them having fun.

But there's all sorts of other things to do on the ship.

There is lot's of comedy.

That's probably something that Carnival's stronger with than just about any cruise line.

There were four different comedians on the ship this week.

We saw some great comedy shows.

Most cruise ships will have one or two comedians during a week.

Carnival's just really great about comedy, so four comedians is pretty much the standard on any seven day Carnival cruise.

Of course, there's plenty of other things to do onboard Carnival Vista.

And some new attractions that you can't find on the other Carnival ships...

Like the big Sky Ride up at the top.

The ship has a ropes course, like some of the other newer Carnival ships have.

And it seems like there's always something to do.

And if you're looking for that big fun atmosphere, that's the center pool area.

If you want a more quiet atmosphere, you go to the aft pool area, and that's open to the public.

And then the exclusive pool on deck five, open to only about 130 guests, is the Havana pool...

My favorite place onboard the ship.

They're trying out some new elevator technology on Carnival Vista.

The front set of elevators is unlike any I've ever seen before.

You tell it outside of the elevator what floor you want to go to.

It finds the optimum elevator that will give you that ride the quickest and most efficient way...

without a whole bunch of stops.

And when you actually get inside the elevator, there are no buttons to push...

Just a display showing you what floor you're going to go to.

One of my favorite places on just about any Carnival cruise ship...

Guy's Burger Joint!

Oh, what a great burger there!

Certainly the best burger you can get at sea, on a cruise ship.

And for me, it's my favorite hamburger in the world, land or sea.

So, I have just totally loved the Carnival Vista this week.

My favorite Carnival cruise ship, and I'm sure I will return...

Especially when they reposition the ship to Galveston.

That's a great place to cruise out of.

But of course, there were a few things that I didn't like.

Rooms for improvement here on Carnival Vista.

And I thought I'd just mention a few... especially in case anybody from Carnival is watching!

Here's some things you could work on!

The first thing I was disappointed in was the speed of the Internet service onboard.

I've been on Royal Caribbean's newest ships, where they have fantastic Internet service...

Using a series of low earth orbit satellites from the O3B networks.

That works really well.

Unfortunately, whatever service Carnival Vista's using...

At least in the southern Caribbean, just doesn't work well at all.

It was some of the most frustrating Internet use I've had on a cruise ship.

I would have expected, on a brand new ship, that it would be more advanced in terms of Internet speeds.

Not so, I'm sorry to say.

There's also a problem in the buffet restaurant on Lido deck in the early morning hours when they first open for breakfast.

They open at 7 o'clock, and there's a big demand there right at opening time from the early risers for breakfast.

And they just don't open up fast enough, and with full capacity.

They open at kind of a 1/4 capacity in the buffet at first, at seven.

And then 7:30, they open up a little more.

And then by later on in the morning they open it all the way up.

And it's just not enough first thing in the morning at seven o'clock.

And then on a day when the ship has an early port call...

Like for us, it was the day we visited La Romana very early in the morning.

We had a 8:15 meeting time for our shore excursion.

Which meant we had to eat breakfast as soon as possible.

And there was a lot of other people that had early shore excursions too, apparently!

Because they were all trying to eat as early as possible.

And the buffet restaurant was only open to a small portion of its capacity at that hour.

And it was just a total zoo. So, that was a mess.

Now, while I did really love the Havana Suite that my wife and I stayed in...

There were a few little quirks about it... Things that maybe they could have designed better.

First and foremost was the way the couch sticks out in the living room section and creates a little choke point there by the desk.

If I'm sitting at the desk, it was impossible for my wife to get by.

A couple of other little problems in the Havana suite that we stayed in...

You know... I knew this was going to be this way going in... And it was a little bit of a problem.

There's no privacy out on the balcony. You have people walking by the walkway that's out between your balcony and the edge of the ship.

And you can very easily hear all the conversations going on on the balconies of the other people around you.

I don't know if there's any way around that, but that was a little bit of a downside.

If that would be a big problem for you, stay in one of the Havana cabins up on deck six rather than the ones down on deck five.

Probably the biggest problem for me was the music that was played late at night in the Havana bar area.

There's a Cuban band that plays music back there just about every night.

Not every night, but almost every night.

And they play up until about 12:30 in the morning.

And the bass from that band could be easily heard in our cabin.

And the closer your cabin is to the Havana bar, the more you're going to hear that.

So, pick your cabin accordingly, if you're staying in a Havana cabin.

For me, as a photographer, it was a little bit of a problem out on the balcony that there's a gigantic piece of glass between me and the ocean.

I really couldn't shoot any photos of anything interesting, like sunrises or sunsets, through that glass.

So, anytime I wanted to take a photo or shoot a video like that, I had to go up on to one of the upper decks

rather than being able to shoot it from my balcony.

A weird design choice that they made in the bathroom of the Havana suites...

Is that they placed the electrical outlet for an electric shaver on the left side of the bathroom...

And the shaving mirror way over on the right side of the bathroom.

And they placed the roll of toilet paper in a very awkward spot.

It's behind you, where you can't easily reach it. That wasn't a good move.

But don't get the wrong idea! I certainly loved our Havana suite...

And they've really come a long way since the Fantasy class and the Spirit class and the use of all that orange in the cabins.

The cabins are so nicely decorated now, especially the Havana cabins.

So, that's my report from Carnival Vista.

I really enjoyed my cruise.

I highly recommend this ship.

If you've never cruised with Carnival before, this would be the ship to try... it's their best.

And also, look for the Carnival Horizon, a sister ship, in 2018.

Although there is one little thing about Carnival Horizon you should know if you're going to stay in a Havana cabin.

And that is that there are going to be more cabins on the ship that are Havana cabins.

So, that's good news because they're more available...

But it's bad news because it means there will be a few more people with access to the Havana pool area.

So, it may be a tiny bit more crowded.

But it's still going to be very uncrowded, I'm sure, because it will be a limited number of people back there.

I'm Jim Zim. Thanks for watching!

And I hope to see you on a cruise ship someday.

I did run in to two of my YouTube channel subscribers on this cruise.

So, that was kind of fun!

They recognized me and introduced themselves, and we had a nice chat.

Maybe me and you sometime, on some other cruise ship!

That was fun!

Aw, you have such nice style!

WHY I FAILED MY DRIVING ASSESSMENT TEST | TIPS + STORYTELLING - Duration: 10:07.

why I fail my assessment test three times

hey guys welcome back to our Channel so the sole purpose of sharing my

driving experience to everybody just to help those people who doesn't know what

to expect you when you try to get your license in Dubai I'm really really

really happy to get a lot of positive comments from a lot of people I'm so

happy to hear that I'm helping you out and to those who are giving me a thumbs down

probably you have a different experience if you think that I miss anything or you

know you wanted to share something else please leave them in the comment section

down below so we can help each other reach other people so I'm sure if you

have your own perspective please leave them in the comment section down below

I'm going to pin that for all the other viewers that are gonna see my video yes

okay so let's start assessment tests are done primarily by

the school test officers or test examiner so this is completely out of

RTA so I wish it would be RTA you know at some point because I feel that

my RTA exam was way easier than my assessment test okay my first assessment

test why I failed because of two major reasons I have two immediate fails

actually and have like nineteen minor mistakes so I'm entering the roundabout

and then I saw one car came you know in the other side of the exit which is

opposite my exit which he's gonna take quite some time before he reached me so

he went and and I went out and then the examiner gave me an automatic fail

because he said that Iran about should be clear before you enter that's one

thing that they really wanted you to do make sure that the roundabout is

completely zero but actually in real life if you wait for the run about to be

like zero maybe we're gonna stay there waiting

I don't know maybe half-day the second immediate fail that I got when the

assessment officer takes you for your assessment test you have to expect that

he's gonna take you somewhere where the students don't normally you know

practice so that's where he took me and by chance because it's you know it's

exiting the small street so I'm entering the bigger one and I didn't see see that

there is a solid white line and a stop sign under the tree so somehow the stop

sign is not very visible for me actually I stopped but I went over the stop line

like because I need to see the cars on my left if they were coming so if I

don't move forward a little bit I would not be able to see them because there

are like trees so but then he said it's a solid line and you should not cross

the solid line so I got an immediate fail for that and then I got like some

nineteen minor mistakes so figure that out

that's why I failed in my first assessment test the first test I was

expecting to fail anyway it's not really like a big thing for me you know I

wasn't really hurt and I was prepared for that anyway so I said okay anyway

the next time I'm gonna know what to do so when you fail your assessment test

take note that you're gonna take another eight classes before you can schedule

your next assessment test my second assessment test day came and I was all

prepared and I'm thinking I'm not gonna fail this test and you know things like

that so this time he asked me in a sixty to eighty road but there is like let's

say around five hundred meters distance between um the last signal to the next

signal so I was thinking you really cannot accelerate a lot during this time

because I there are a lot of cars he told me that hours and I'm following the

road speed limit and you cannot just accelerate because you have to see if

there are a lot of cars and you have you know to know whether the road is safe or

not and I was like okay I cannot accelerate with cars in front and behind

me and just I cannot reason with them so I

said okay fine we did a u-turn again and then he doesn't like how I make the

u-turn what my instructor told me that when you

make a u turn and you can use always the last lane on your right but the officer

asked me to be in the middle lane so you know like I get confused because I was

practicing already on the last lane and suddenly he asked me to be in the middle

lane the second time I fail the assessment test

I was quite anxious already do you know but I still I didn't make any fuss

about it I said okay maybe I need to do more practice I was still you know cool

about it though I'm a little bit angry already because I felt that I shouldn't

fail and have like I think nine minor mistakes which is not really a lot you

know I didn't argue at that time because I said I don't want them to you know

like point at me or give me a hard time because I'm arguing or making problems

for them so I just you know accepted it and even though I'm angry I just paid

the next eight classes and then took the eight classes and I told my instructor

you're not teaching me everything I was fighting with my instructor at that time

because I was really angry and I cannot you know like really have this

confrontation with the test officer because I don't want him to have that

eye on me and you know like fail me every time so I said okay that's a

schedule my third assessment test good thing is the different examiner's

already so they changed the examiner on my third assessment test this guy I

didn't see him writing on my paper not really saying a lot of things but he

kept telling me that speed for you know changing lane from this signal to the

next signal I didn't see him write anything probably he just checked some

minor mistakes and that's it and then when we went back to the school and he

told me I failed then that time I really really burst already and I told him okay

what to why you fail me what was my mistake and then it was like okay if you

drive like this if you take your RTA you're gonna fail as well and then I was

like okay but tell me what is my mistake I mean what did I do wrong

show me in the paper and he cannot show me in the paper because he didn't write

anything I was really angry at that point I feel that I should pass already

because I didn't really make big mistakes I spoke with the manager and

really I made a very big complaint I told him if I'm supposed to fail if

there are mistakes I committed I'm okay to fail not because

you think I should fail that is not fair what he told me because I was really

furious at the time and really nobody can settle me even the manager keeps

saying that you know it's the examiner decision and I told him no I'm not gonna

accept it and then the examiner told me okay just get your eight classes because

I don't know maybe he put it already in the system or something like that just

pay the eight classes and then I'm gonna give you your pass

I was actually really you know but I didn't question anyway and then I said okay I'll pay after the

eight classes because I still have to schedule the eight class and then on my

assessment day I went there and then he just put a stamp says I pass already but

that's really how my story want I have now top five tips which I learned from

this experience from which probably you guys can learn as well top tip number

one i think that if you know the road so well like for example if you have the

instructor with you and you're practicing anyway make sure that he

takes you to every single corner of the road also that you don't get surprised

when the examiner takes is somewhere else that you don't know so make sure that you

circle around every single corner of the place where you're practicing and

make sure that you know every sign so you don't just get confused or you don't

get surprised secondly I really highly recommend that you do observe the

traffic signs because they're really really particular about observing

traffic signs like make sure that you don't enter the wrong way because there

are some roads which is one way as I mentioned in the roundabout make sure

that the roundabout is clear before you enter because that's really what they want

this is really crucial number 4 parking in and out you have the practice

parking in and parking out with your instructor before you take your

assessment test because its not gonna be the same when you're outside

parking in is normally front first not back first not how you park in the garage

parking it could be a garage parking but you don't have to park backwards so you

can just go ahead and park with your face I mean with the not your face with

the face of the car another trick is that if your car is on the right if you're on

the right side and you have a lot of parking space try to choose the one on

the left side because then you have a lot of space you know to maneuver and

make sure that you do the right you know left turn correctly and make sure that

you don't forget your signals as well so the last tip that I wanted to share with

you guys is very very very important if you fail your assessment test make sure

that you know the reasons why you fail ask the examiner demand for answers like

seriously what else could go worse I mean you failed already and you might as

well know what is the reason why you fail so that you can you know work

around with that when you take your eight classes and you can practice more

they're not gonna eat you so just ask please just ask why you failed okay so I

hope you guys enjoyed this video and I hope it was really helpful leave me in

the comments section where you're at in your driving or what videos you'd like

me to do to help you more and if you haven't subscribed please do so so you

get notifications whenever we upload new videos and thank you so much again guys

for watching you have a good day bye

Three Other Approaches to Turn Timers | GMTK Extra - Duration: 6:13.

Earlier this week I released an episode of Game Maker's Toolkit about how designers

push you to try more interesting gameplay styles - and how those decisions can be met

with controversy when the game forces you to play in a specific way, or punishes you

for not meeting the creator's vision.

I got loads of great comments on that video, with many of them focused on XCOM 2's design choices.

A quick reminder to get everyone up to speed. XCOM Enemy Unknown was awesome, but Firaxis

wasn't happy with the fact that players were approaching the game slowly and cautiously.

They thought the game was more interesting when the player was faster and took more risks.

So, for the sequel, XCOM 2, the studio put a timer on many of the missions, so if you

take too many turns, you'll fail the main objective. This certainly did the job, but

it was met with no small amount of controversy. Lots of players just didn't like being rushed

by the game.

Anyway. Lots of people in the comments pointed out that there's actually a number of tactical

games out there that have found clever ways to encourage players into speeding up, without

completely annoying them.

And so, in this cheeky bonus video, I want to give a shoutout to these games and take

a look at their unique solution to this tricky design problem.

Let's start with Invisible Inc, which is by Klei Entertainment - the same studio as

Mark of the Ninja. This game is heavily inspired by XCOM but has more of a focus on stealth

and espionage. So in each mission you'll be sneaking past guards, hacking into cameras,

and pinching valuable secrets.

Technical Designer James Lantz told Gamasutra, "We knew we needed [a] sense of time pressure

for Invisible, not only because it fit the game's theme but also because we wanted

players to be making interesting tradeoffs with every move, and keeping busywork to a

minimum".

Basically, the studio was looking for high stakes break-ins, where you'd have to make

the tough choice between robbing a few more safes or booking it towards the exit.

The solution was a security system. Every single turn, the system ticks up one notch.

And every five notches, a new level of security is introduced. Maybe new cameras come online,

or it becomes more expensive to hack things, or additional guards are introduced.

So it's still a turn timer, just like XCOM 2, but the consequences for taking too long

are nowhere near as severe. It's not a fail state - it just ramps up the challenge. In

fact, it can be kind of fun, because these extra security measures can add surprising

new wrinkles to mess up your plan.

The alarm system still was met with some resistance, but Lantz says "we were able to ameliorate

the issue by providing lots of in-world fiction for the alarm and making it very clear and

predictable to players with extra UI and tutorialization, including the small but incredibly effective

change of renaming it from 'Alarm' to 'Security Level'."

Okay, so the next example comes from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. This is another

XCOM-style game, only this time with the surprising inclusion of, uh, Super Mario and those annoying

Rabbids from the Rayman games.

So in this game, you're basically just graded on your performance in each battle - with

the game noting down how many team members made it out alive, and how many turns you

took compared to a par time.

And then, at the end of the chapter, you'll be rewarded with a trophy and - more importantly

- coins based on your performance. So finishing missions within a smaller number of turns

rewards you with handy goodies. Which is cool.

It certainly doesn't put any pressure on the player, though. And that's maybe something

I should have addressed in my original video. Rewarding players for being fast is one way

of doing things, but it's fundamentally a different experience to feeling the pressure

of death looming over your head if you don't speed up - which is why systems like the rebel

fleet following you in FTL are still extremely worthwhile.

But stress is not really the aim of a game like Mario and Rabbids. The game does want

you to be fast and mobile, but it achieves this just by giving you lots of fun and powerful

tools for zipping around the battlefield, like how you can get big damage from sliding

into enemies, or cover huge amounts of ground by bouncing off other team members.

The coin reward for finishing within fewer turns is just an extra incentive for playing in

a bouncy, zippy Mario-like way.

Okay, so the final example comes from another very XCOM-like game... uh, XCOM! Enemy Within,

that is, which is the expansion pack for the original Enemy Unknown.

Not the original original. You know what I mean.

So, Firaxis was thinking about encouraging speed back during the development of this

DLC. Enemy Within lead designer Ananda Gupta told Eurogamer, "We really felt players were

having fun with the tactical game, but we felt like, especially on the harder difficulty

levels, heavily conservative play was being rewarded. There's nothing wrong with heavily

conservative play - that's fine - but we wanted to make it so that it wasn't a no-brainer".

So in this expansion, you've got all these cool new toys to play with like mech walkers

and genetic upgrades to create ridiculous super soldiers. And this useful junk is all

purchased with a new currency, called Meld.

Now this stuff is found on the battlefield of many of the game's missions, in Meld

Canisters. And this is where the time pressure comes in. As soon as you spot one of these

things, they start a self destruct sequence. If you get to the canister in time you can

take the currency home with you. If not, the meld is lost.

These meld containers provide a reward for taking risks, and a certain level of pressure

as the timer ticks down, but speeding up is optional and the punishment for running out

of time is a missed opportunity - not a completely failed mission.

I think this is a pretty great piece of design, but I'm not trying to say that these games

are necessarily better than XCOM 2, or that these designs are "right" and the more simple turn timers

are "wrong". But it's just interesting to look at some other ways that designers

have attempted the same idea - but in a unique way.

And, often, with less backlash. But not zero backlash - Invisible Inc's James Lantz admits

"there are definitely players we lost along the way with the alarm system". Though

Klei does let you turn the whole system off, from a generous menu of options and modifiers.

But, that's a whole 'nother topic.

For now, thank you so much watching and thank you for your comments. I try to read as many as

I can, and all your feedback helps make the show better and more informative. Without

you, a bonus episode like this just wouldn't exist. See you soon.

[ENG] Moroccan Coconut Macaroons / حلوى جوز الهند المغربية - CookingWithAlia - Episode 593 - Duration: 2:18.

Today we are making the yummiest of them all

coconut macaroons

Chewy coconut cookies of heaven!

First, separate the egg whites from the egg yolks.

Place the egg whites in the larger bowl because that's where all the mixing is going to happen.

Add to the egg whites, the sugar,

dried unsweetened shredded coconut, and a pinch of salt

Using a spatula, mix all these ingredients until well combined.

Place a saucepan over medium-high heat.

Pour water and bring it to a boiling point.

Place the bowl with the coconut mixture over the boiling water

keep stirring the mixture constantly for around 5 minutes until it becomes warm.

Once it becomes warm, remove the bowl from the bain marie

and continue mixing until the mixture cools down completely

The dough will become both smooth and sticky.

Using two spoons, take a bit of the dough and shape it into a ball the size of a large walnut.

Place the cookie balls on a baking pan covered with parchment paper

then using the back of a spoon, flatten them a bit

Bake the cookies in a pre-heated oven to 170°C / 340°F

for 30 minutes until they become deep golden brown.

Look at these beauties…

Let them cool before serving.

These will be perfect with a cup of milk!

One bite and I am back to my childhood days…

hmmm…. Bon appetit

[Korean Beauty] Recommending 3 Gray Lens! O-Lens, Ann365, and Lensme Basic Lens and Pearl Lens - Duration: 4:14.

Hi guys

It's Kyung-Ah from Ryu's Penna

Today, since it's been a while since I prepared a beauty content, I brought one

Today is! The gray lens recommendation

Actually, I really like gray and pink lens, so I buy only the two

Lately, I bought three gray lenses

And they all look good and are comfortable so

I'm going to introduce them to you guys

As you can see, there are three kinds I prepared

But their brands are all different

This is from Lensme

And This is from Ann365

The last one is from O-Lens

Let's take a look on these three

The first one is this!

It's from Ann365

It's a monthly use, and today is the day I need to throw it away

That's why I'm wearing it

I can just take this one out and show you so,

I'll show you right away

I flipped one of the pair on purpose

As you can see the color differs a lot, so you don't need to worry about putting it in the wrong way

This is a new product which has pearl in it.

I don't know if the pearls can be seen when I close-up

Since I put this on from the opening of this clip

You can guess what it's like

I'll show you the eye close-up also

(Sorry about the eyelashes falling out and the poor eye makeup) It's surely more shiny than normal gray lens, aren't they?

This one has a black outline, helping the pupil look more apparent

This one comes in a bottle

I'll show you the Lensme Kiwi Pop

This one's diameter is 0.3 more bigger than the other two

But I love this one because of the beautiful lens graphic

I'll show it to you

I like the graphics that have bold outlines like this

I tend to like to show that "I got lens on"

That's why I really liked this one and want to buy it again

The bad thing about this one is that it looks the same on both sides

So, I don't know whether the lens are flipped until it hurts

I'll show you how it looks like on my eye

I came with it in my eye (since it's the same gray, you might not know the difference)

If you see, it has a little bit blue and green inside making a pretty look

That's why I really like this and got it for a while

This bottle lens are for 6 month use, and has been about 4 months

Actually, the left one is a little bit torn, making me to struggle

I try to not put in lens that are not good to my eye health

Since I really like this and want to buy this again

I wanted to introduce to you guys and that's why I put it on

Isn't the color pretty?

Honestly, I had no irritation

But when it had been 4 months, some irritation occurred

I think it's because it was torn a little bit

Considering the diameter, it almost has no irritation and hoola at all

So, I really recommend it

This is the last one!

Finally, I'm going to put on O-Lens 'Glory Lens'

This is also pearl lens

The Glory Lens from O-Lens is the most natural gray of the three

The Glory Lens from O-Lens is the most natural gray of the three

You might think "Wow this must be pearl lens"

This lens' outline is softer than the other two

So, it blends in with the pupil

(I have it on now) Actually, I thought that pearl lens are

(I have it on now) Just powdered with shadow, making it uncomfortable, but it wasn't at all

If you go somewhere with lights at night or in the sunshine in the day, the pearls shine beautifully

So, I recommend it to people who want to get their eyes shining

Personally, I think that people who like gray lens are people who like unique styles like me

So, I think their taste will be similar to me

Well, I hope this clip helps your choice on lens

This is the end of this clip

If it was fun or useful

Click the like and subscribe please!

See ya in the next clip!

Bye~
