Melissa Mainier was working as a waitress in a restaurant called Peachtree when a man

in a walker came in that she'd never forget.

His name was Benjamin Olewine.

At the time they met, Melissa was an aspiring nurse who was paying her own way through school.

However, like many aspiring professionals, the school debts had heaped high and Melissa

was unsure how she could ever pay them off.

But Mr. Olewine was not someone who turns a blind eye when he sees a need.

At 92, Mr. Olewine, had become a regular customer at the Peachtree.

Over the many years, he had become a successful businessman and made multiple efforts to find

creative ways to give back to the community.

He asked Melissa how she was planning to pay the student debts that weighed her down.

Melissa responded that she simply planned to work as much as she possibly could.

Then Mr. Olewine, with a grin on his face, asked Melissa a question that she never saw

coming.

Then, he said something that floored the young woman.

"Melissa, I'd be happy to pay your tuition," he stated as he looked her in the eye.

What follows can only be described as disbelief.

Melissa was astounded!

Listening to the kind man recount the story from his perspective gives us insight into

what he has learned throughout the many year of his life.

He takes joy in giving back to those who need it.

This is something that is very rare in today's age - and something that is truly special.

As Melissa continued her schooling, she gained an opportunity to work as a nurse in a hospital

that was close to Mr. Olewine's heart.

He discloses the reason why he is so fond of that particular hospital and why he took

her under his wing.

Their exchange is truly touching.

To Jeff Flake's Resignation Speech Attacking Trump

Jeff Flake just shook up the political world and announced he will not seek re-election.

Flake has been a far too frequent critic of President Trump and Trump decided to do something

about it.

He got firmly behind his primary challenger, Kelli Ward.

Who has relentlessly attacked Flake for what he has done to Trump and has seen her numbers

skyrocket while Flake's fell off a cliff.

So today, not really having any choice because he will lose, Flake announced he will not

run for re-election.

But the manner in which he announced his resignation was uncalled for and a bit obnoxious.

Of course he ripped Trump from the Senate floor when he made his announcement.

Flake actually said this on the Senate floor about the sitting President of the United

States of America:

"Reckless, outrageous, and undignified behavior has become excused as telling it like it is

when it is actually just reckless, outrageous, and undignified.

And when such behavior emanates from the top of our government, it is something else.

It is dangerous to a democracy."

Wow he sounds like Nancy Pelosi doesn't he?

He continued:

"None of these appalling features of our current politics should ever be regarded as

normal.

We must never allow ourselves to lapse into thinking that is just the way things are now.

If we simply become inured to this condition, thinking that it's just politics as usual,

then heaven help us."

Flake went on and on and continued to hammer at Trump in his sky is falling way and blamed

him for basically everything wrong in America.

Most Senators, including John McCain and Bob Corker, rose and gave Jeff a standing ovation

although we aren't sure if they were cheering his resignation or his Trump bashing?

The media of course descended on White House press secretary Sarah Sanders demanding a

reply from Trump.

She said she hadn't spoken to Trump about the big resignation and then glared into the

cameras and finished off the carcass that is Jeff Flake's political career with a

brutal one liner,

"Based on the lack of support that he has from the people of Arizona, it's probably

a good move."

"Probably a good move," the absolute perfect 4 word response: classy, funny, on point and

above all brutally honest.

Good job Sarah, Jeff Flak's political

career is over, Trump won again.

Woman Lays Lifeless In The Wilderness – Then A Dog Appears From Behind The Bushes

When Amanda heard of Bear, an abandoned, lost dog in the mountains of Evan's Creek, she

decided to act immediately.

Together with her friend Dylan, they set out to try to locate the lonely dog.

For over an hour, Amanda and Dylan tried to coax Bear using food and treats – but their

plan failed.

The next day when they returned, they spotted Bear in the same area.

They again tried to coax him to get closer so they could help him, but in vain.

That's when the girls got, to say the least, a very creative idea.

They decided that Amanda would lay down and 'play dead', acting as if she were in

need of help.

Said and done: The next day, Amanda lay down on the ground in the area they she suspected

Bear was.

And what happened two hours later has filled thousands of animals friends' hearts with

warmth.

It all began when a driver spotted a dog at a campsite in Evans Creek, Washington State.

The dog looked both scared and malnourished.

The dog got aggressive when the driver tried to approach him.

A few days later, a girl named Amanda got wind of the wild dog, known as Bear

Amanda and her friend Dylan decided to try to save the dog and take him to an animal

hospital.

They tried to attract Bear with treats – but to no avail.

The dog was still too suspicious to dare approach people.

So Amanda decided a try slightly different tactic.

She layed down in fetal position and played dead.

And soon enough, Bear seemed to embody the spirit of help.

He approached Amanda and sniffed at her for 20 minutes, then lost interest and went away.

But Amanda didn't give up.

One hour later, he was back.

This time, he simply sat beside Amanda.

Within the next two hours, Amanda won Bear's trust and he could be certain that she meant

him no harm.

He followed her to the car and together they drove off to the vet.

Bear finally got the help he so desperately needed – thanks to these amazing animal

friends who refused to give up on him.

Animal welfare organization Lost & Found Pets in Washington has tried to locate the dog's

owner, but with no luck.

Fortunately, a family got in touch and expressed its desire to adopt Bear, so he now has a

loving home!

I mean if I weren't playing the piano, I'd want to do something involving communications.

Before each concert I have a little nap.

I take one hour to sleep a little in order to calm down and then I practice.

I think the best way to prepare a concert is to warm up properly in the concert hall.

You know, with the acoustics and

you do a kind of a pre-concert by yourself.

I am very fortunate to have such wonderful people around the world - this audience

caring about what I do, which is making music.

As a musician, you know, we make so many friends.

On just trip I have made so many new friends.

It's a real blessing and

I feel very grateful

to be surrounded by people. And I really like to be with people.

I think, you know, different music conjures up different pictures for me.

When I am playing Brazilian music,

I think about Rio, the landscape here, Iguazu Falls, and the Amazon rainforest.

When I play German music,

I experience the beautiful fields, the greenness, the forest and

also the Alps… the mountains.

It's important that you reflect the culture in that place.

I actually think it's time for me to do more Bach at this age.

Since I was a kid I've played a lot of Bach, although seldom in concerts.

Now I would like to do more concerts with Bach.

The hair ribbon. One day at lunch break after the children had finished eating

Totto-chan was skipping across the assembly hall when she met the headmaster

It is perhaps odd to say she met the headmaster when he had been with them all through lunch

But she met him because he was coming from the opposite direction "Oh

"What is it?" Totto-chan delighted to think she could give the headmaster some information

He asked looking at the bow she had in her hair

The expression on Totto-chan's face when she heard that couldn't have been a happier one

She had been wearing the bow since the day before, it was something she had found herself

She went up closer so the headmaster could see the ribbon better

"It was on my Aunt's old school uniform." she said proudly "I

Noticed it when she was putting it in a drawer, and she gave it to me

auntie said I was very observant." "I

See" said the headmaster deep in thought

Totto-chan was very proud of the ribbon. She told him how she had gone to see her aunt and was lucky to find her aunt

airing some clothes

She noticed how longingly totto-chan gazed at the bow as she listened

Stroking it and feeling it and said "I'll give it to you. I shouldn't be wearing this again"

She took some scissors and cut the thread attaching it to the skirt and gave it to Totto-chan

That was how she got it

It really was a beautiful ribbon

It was wide in a very good silk, and had roses and all sorts of designs were woven into it

Wide and stiff when it was tied it made a bow as big as Totto-chan's head, and she said the fabric was imported

While she was speaking Totto-chan jiggled her head occasionally so the headmaster could hear the rustling sound the ribbon made

When he had heard her story the headmaster looked a little distressed

"So that's it." He said "yesterday Maiyo-chan said she wanted a ribbon just like yours

So I went to all the ribbons shops in jiyugaoka

But they didn't have anything like it so that's it. It's imported is it?"

His face was more like that of a troubled father

PUMPKIN PUKE GUACAMOLE - No.3 Most Disgusting Halloween 🎃 Recipes - Duration: 6:37.

Hi and a huge Halloween welcome to Steve's kitchen. We're continuing the

five most disgusting Halloween recipes today with number three and one of my

favorites, excuse me just a moment, Guaaacaamole.... excuse me. Now it's so unfair

of me to say guacamole turns my stomach because this recipe is absolutely

delicious and it's a pumpkin guacamole so it's a little bit of a twist. Let me

show you how we're going to make it.

You're going to need a carved pumpkin, I've got a video by the way on my

channel on how to carve a pumpkin but this one you're going to cut the mouth

out like so, so it's opening and then I'll just pop that back in there for the

moment, it's like one of those little baby toys where you've got to put the

shapes in. I've of course taken the lid off and I've also cut these sort of

crow's feet eyes out, so it looks like his eyes are sort of screwed up. Now I've

seen very many wordy blogs online that sound authoritative, that say you don't eat

carved pumpkin. You do eat carved pumpkin, it's perfectly good,

it's absolutely really delicious and we're going to be using the excess flesh

off of this to make our guacamole and we're just going to slice this into

maybe about quarter of an inch strips. So I want lots of nice little cubes of

pumpkin like that. Around about half a cup of diced pumpkin. Now in a pan with

about half an inch of water I'm just going to pop the pumpkin in there. We're

just going to bring this to the boil and let it cook for about three to five

minutes just to tenderize the pumpkin. You might think that pumpkins are really

unusual ingredients to have in a guacamole but actually it goes really

well trust me and it is Halloween. We've got our tomatoes and avocados let's get

and prepare the tomatoes. Roma's are great tomatoes for guacamole they have a

little less juice in and just take your tomato and we're just going to slice it

across horizontally at first. I'm going to make three or four cuts

I want fairly small dices, just mind the tips of your fingers there and then I'm

going to make some vertical cuts in the tomato as well and then we can make nice

little cubes out of this Roma. Now they are a lot juicier than I thought they

would be, I'm actually going to put them into a little sieve. Now I'm going to

sprinkle about half a teaspoon of salt over these tomatoes, I'm also just going

to add a little pinch of sugar on there as well. Now what the salts going to do

it's going to release a lot of the juice out of here, just going to toss that

through and I'm going to leave that for a few minutes just to let some of the

moisture drain off. Now I love these little avocados, pound-for-pound they

really do give a lot of meat and I'm just going to cut this one round, you'll

see what I mean when I cut and pull this open, they only have a tiny seed inside and a

lot of flesh. Now a great little trick for dicing avocado, if you take your

knife and just cut, you'll feel the knife hits the skin

inside, we're just letting it follow the edge of the skin, so we're basically

slicing it in the skin and then we turn it to the side and go the same this way.

We're just going to bring the knife across, just let it guide against the

inside of the skin. So now if you take a little teaspoon and just don't take it

all out at once, you'll get lovely little cubes of avocado. Now to stop that

avocado from going brown I've got a lime here, just going to squeeze a little bit of

lime juice just to keep the avocado from going brown. Now I'm going to get on and do

four of these small avocados and you can join me in a moment. So I've my four

avocados diced up, I've got a couple of Roma tomatoes which we're just draining

over on the side there, down here we've got our half a cup of pumpkin which is

softened now, it's just been on there for about three minutes. I've got up a little

onion and some jalapeno peppers, let's get and assemble our guacamole. So a

little extra lime juice in with my avocado, in go the diced up jalapeno

peppers and some diced onions, probably about a couple of tablespoons and my

tomatoes have drained off now so I'll pop them in there, I can then use the

sieve just to drain off my pumpkin as well. Pop that in over the top of the

tomatoes, look at the colour of that. Now I like heaps of black pepper, so I'm

going to put plenty in, now if you want to spice your guacamole up put more

chillies in or like I'm doing about half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper and I'm not

going to add any more salt for seasoning yet, we're just going to mix this through.

Now look at this, this is a beautiful chunky guacamole, at this point you want

to taste it and see if it needs any extra salt or seasoning. Now I've had a

taste and this is perfect, the salt from the tomatoes was just great, it's got a

real kick to it and actually you could have this just as it is, this would be a

great guacamole but we want to make it look a little bit like pumpkin puke, so

I'm going to take this perfectly beautiful looking guacamole and take a

masher and just mash it up a little bit. So I've set my pumpkin up on a platter

like this, I put blue or black corn chips around the outside, a few light

ones as well. You can see he's facing out with a bit of space at the front of the

plate there. Now rather like feeding a baby we're going to put the guacamole in

the pumpkins mouth and already you can see it's starting to look pretty

disgusting. We want it to come out onto the plate here our beautiful zingy

guacamole just coming out onto the plate, doesn't that look ghouly and disgusting.

Last thing we want to do is pop back on the Wizards hat and we are ready to

serve this ghoulish Halloween treat. Now let me know what you think in the
