and the channel before wasn't called Nyadia-chan

it was called neko-chan nyadia

someone was very, very focused on the anime when she has 11 or 12 yeasr old

to put a name like that

I'll tell you a little about the previous version of the channel

for example

the most popular video thah I had

it was a creepypasta (called "the diary")

where a group of high school children were gathered for an art class

to learn a dance

and on the way from school to home

was developing a type zombie apocalypse

where each of that small group of students

(small and were like 12)

where that small group of students were killed one by one

until the protagonist leaves the remaining survivors in the group

to realize she was crazy and had murdered his companions

and comes to a self-service

to die frozen inside... a refrigerator

and if it was not enough he wore at least one head of some of his companions inside the backpack

Bond Index Funds in Rising-Rate Environments | Common Sense Investing with Ben Felix - Duration: 5:18.

One of the favourite arguments of active managers and financial advisors selling actively managed

mutual funds is that active management will protect you in a down market. Let's think

about this in the context of bond funds. When interest rates go up, bonds will generally

fall in price. With interest rates as low as they are now, wouldn't you be a fool

to buy a bond index fund as opposed to an actively managed bond fund?

In fact, you would not be a fool. The performance of actively managed bond funds has been just

as dismal as that of actively managed stock funds compared to their benchmark indexes.

Over the 15 years ending in 2016, less than ⅓ of U.S. bond funds were able to beat their

benchmark index.

If active management isn't the answer, and interest rates really do have nowhere to go

but up, should you still expect positive returns from your bonds?

I'm Ben Felix, Associate Portfolio Manager at PWL Capital. In this episode of Common

Sense Investing, I'm going to tell you why you don't need to be afraid of bond index funds.

When it comes to bond performance and interest rates, the factors that matter most are the

magnitude of any interest rate increase, and the average duration of your bond portfolio.

Duration is a measure of price sensitivity for bonds, where higher duration indicates

greater price sensitivity to changes in interest rates. If interest rates were to increase

by 1%, a bond fund with an average duration of 5 years would be expected to drop by 5%.

Bonds with longer durations are increasingly sensitive to interest rates, but they also

have higher expected returns.

Increases in interest rates will likely result in negative short-term performance for bonds.

These negative effects become more pronounced as the duration of the bond portfolio increases.

This is a fairly standard risk/return tradeoff.

With interest rates as low as they are now, a common thought process for investors is

that future bond returns must be low or negative going forward, this is because interest rates are

either going to stay low, resulting in low yields, or rise, causing bond prices to fall.

This thinking ignores an important aspect of the situation. As interest rates go up,

new bonds are issued at the now higher rates. Think about a a bond index fund. It is a fund

that owns a bunch of bonds, based on an index. A bond index includes bonds based on a set

of criteria. For example, the Barclays Capital US Aggregate Bond Index only includes bonds

that have at least one year remaining until maturity.

The index usually rebalances monthly, meaning that bonds in a bond index fund that no longer

meet the criteria of the index are sold, and new bonds are purchased. While it is true

that bonds in the fund are likely being sold at a loss during a period of rising interest

rates, the new bonds being purchased will have higher yields such that the index fund

will eventually recover from any losses.

Bond index fund prices may decline with rising interest rates, but over time it is expected

that as the index rebalances into new bonds with higher coupons there will be positive

long-term performance. Long-term expected bond returns are independent of future interest

rate scenarios, but realizing any expected return will almost always come with periods

of volatility.

If you are thinking about ditching bonds altogether, remember that they are there to help you in

bad markets. A really bad year for bonds is not nearly as bad as a really bad year for

stocks. The worst 12 months in recent history for the FTSE TMX Canada Universe bond index,

an index representing Canadian bonds, was between July 1982 and June 1983 when it posted

a negative 7.90% return. Over that same period, the S&P/TSX composite index, an index representing

Canadian stocks, dropped by almost 40%. Similarly, Canadian stocks dropped by 33%

in 2008, while Canadian bonds posted a positive 6.4% return.

If you are concerned about low or negative returns in the bond portion of your portfolio

due to low interest rates, an active manager is not the solution. It is expected that bond

index funds will outperform actively managed bond funds over the long-term. One option

might be to reduce the duration of your bonds, decreasing their sensitivity to interest rates,

but doing so will also decrease your expected returns.

Even if interest rates are expected to rise, bond index funds continue to have positive

long-term expected returns. You might see a short-term decline in bond prices, but that

does not mean that the bonds are no longer doing their job. Investing is a long-term

game. If nothing else, bonds act as your buffer against down markets, so unless you have a

stomach of steel, it's probably worth keeping them around.

PL/SQL tutorial 69: PL/SQL Strong Ref Cursor with User Defined Record Datatype in Oracle - Duration: 6:52.

In the previous tutorial we learnt how to create a PL/SQL strong ref cursor using table

based record datatype variable.

There we saw a demonstration where we used the strong ref cursor to handle the data from

all the columns, mind you, all the columns of the employees table.

This raises our concern that – What if we want the data from some specific column of

the table?

That's exactly what we will be addressing in today's tutorial.

What's up internet?

I am Manish from RebellionRider.com and I am back once again with another PL/SQL tutorial.

In this tutorial we will learn how to create a PL/SQL strong Ref Cursor with a user defined

record datatype.

This tutorial will need a good working knowledge of user defined record datatype.

Which you can get from the PL/SQL tutorial 37 whose link, is like always in the description

of the video.

So without wasting much of your time let's start with the tutorial and do an example.

Unlike the example which we did in the previous tutorial, this time we want our strong ref

cursor to handle the data only from the salary column of the employees table.

In order to achieve this we can use our old and trusted method of user defined record

datatype.

Let's see how…

SET SERVEROUTPUT ON DECLARE

TYPE my_rec IS RECORD ( emp_sal employees.salary%TYPE

); Here we have created a user defined record

datatype with the name my_rec.

This record datatype has one field which is emp_sal.

Unfortunately, right now I don't remember the datatype and the data width of the salary

column of the employees table and I am too lazy to check it out.

Thus I defined this field as an anchored datatype.

That way the field emp_sal will automatically get the datatype and the data width of the

base column that is salary.

Now that we have a user defined record datatype ready to use, let's create a PL/SQL strong

ref cursor using this.

TYPE RefCur IS REF CURSOR RETURN my_rec; cur_var RefCur;

at_var employees.salary%TYPE; Here we have our strong ref cursor RefCur.

As you can see, this ref cursor is returning a result of my_rec datatype which is the record

datatype we just created.

In the next line we have our cursor variable cur_var.

This variable will be used to refer to our strong ref cursor ahead in the code.

Apart from the cursor variable we also have an extra anchored datatype variable.

This variable will be used to hold the data returned by our strong ref cursor.

As we know our ref cursor is returning the salary from employees table.

Thus the datatype of this variable must be compatible with the returning result to hold

the data comfortably.

You can make this variable with the same datatype and the data width as of the salary column

of the employees table if you have this information handy.

If you don't then you can use anchored datatype to create them as we did here.

So much use of anchored datatype in this tutorial, I didn't know that before, anyways, if you

don't know about anchored datatype then you can refer to that PL/SQL tutorial 4.

But for now we are done with the declaration section of this PL/SQL block.

Now let's move ahead and write the execution section.

But before that, I'll ask you to subscribe the channel if you haven't already and like

this video as it keeps me motivated for producing more such interesting videos.

Let's see if we can reach 100 likes in a week this time.

That being said let's come back to our topic and complete the remaining code.

Here we are writing the execution section of this PL/SQL block.

Let's do it.

BEGIN OPEN cur_var FOR SELECT salary FROM employees

This execution section is pretty much the same as we saw in the previous tutorial.

The only thing which is different here is the SELECT statement for which we are opening

our cursor.

In the last tutorial the cursor was holding data from all the columns of the employees

table whereas today in this example our cursor is opened for a select statement which is

returning the data only from one column which is salary of the employees table.

Note here, this cursor is holding the data of a single column which is salary.

This will not be possible if our cursor returns a table based record datatype.

In that case we will have to get our cursor opened for the data from all the columns of

the table for a specific employee as we did in the previous tutorial.

But, if that is not what you want then you can design your ref cursor using a user defined

record datatype, like we have done here.

In the first statement we opened our cursor for the "Select" statement which is returning

the data from salary column for the employee whose employee id is 10 sorry 100.

In the second line we fetched all that data into the variable at_var which we declared

earlier in our code.

In the third line we closed our cursor.

Closing a cursor that you are done with is a good practice.

In the fourth line we have an output statement which is displaying back the data which was

stored into the cursor and later fetched into the variable at_var.

Let's execute this code and see the result.

Here is our desired result.

So that is how we create a PL/SQL strong ref cursor in Oracle Database using user defined

record datatype.

DIY no carve pumpkins, Dollar Tree Makeover - Duration: 4:46.

Hello Friends!

Welcome to another Smiling Colors video.

I'm Smitha Katti also known as theshinynest on instagram and in todays video we are DIYing

some no carve pumpkins

I love changing my home decor every season and fall means decorating with pumpkins, so

today I am sharing two ideas of painting them and then doodling or lettering on them.

I love pumpkins but I am hopeless at carving them- so I painted them instead.

You gotta do what you are good at.

Here is what you will need- pumpkins to decorate.

You can buy them at the super market, the craft store or like I did today at Dollar

Tree.

Inexpensive and these are made of foam which is actually great!

While I was at the dollar tree I also picked up some gold glittered nail polish for this

project.

Other than that we will need a few more items- some white acrylic paint, a foam brush and

a black marker.

If you are decorating a large pumpkin you would need a thicker marker.

But thats about it.

This is really fun project, so lets get started.

We will start by applying our acrylic white paint all over the pumpkin.

Always apply thin coats of paint and let the paint dry in between coats.

If you have a spray paint at home, you could simple spray paint these and get it done much

faster.

I have a lot acrylic paint on hand, so I chose to use that.

I chose white color, but really you could paint these pumpkins any color of the rainbow.

I would say you will need about 2 to 3 coats of paint to achieve an even coverage.

Let's start with this pumpkin with the doodling all over.

Using the black marker draw simple flower and leaves shapes.

And just keep repeating this over and over again.

You can doodle anything- leaves, spiders with spider webs or even just draw simple polka

dots or stripes all around.

I think the contrast of the black against the white just looks so modern.

You could also skip the painting, and just doodle all over an orange pumpkin too.

I have used this same marker on a real pumpkin and that surface is super slick so writing

on it might take a bit of practice.

I would suggest you look at your pumpkin, find which is its front and back side- or

the good and bad side- and start doodling on the back or wrong side.

This way you can get a feel of how the pen moves on the pumpkin first and then you can

go decorate the front side.

This foam pumpkin turned out actually pretty awesome.

The foam takes the paint really nicely and the marker moves great on it.

It is very easy to doodle on this and in the end no one easily tell that this is a foam

pumpkin that cost just a dollar.

If you were painting a larger pumpkin, maybe try painting the leaves and flowers with a

black paint instead of a marker.

Thats and idea.

So for my pumpkin, I started with the flowers and leaves, and then I filled in the empty

spaces with smaller flowers and smaller leaves.

Once everything looked good to me, I went in and added more details to the larger leaves.

I LOVE this pumpkin, I had an idea in my mind for this, but it turns out way better.

I also think now that this would look amazing if I doodled with colored markers as well.

Okay now lets do some lettering and I chose the word BOO.

Small word and that means less chances of making a mistake.

Before I letter onto the pumpkin, I just did a rough sketch of what I had in mind.

I highly recommend you do this, because its just a smart idea.

Now on the pumpkin, start in the middle of the word so you can space everything nicely.

You can do faux calligraphy or brush calligraphy on this as well, I chose a simple font and

then I filled in the space with close black lines.

If you do make a mistake, just paint over it, let the paint dry and letter over it again.

Easy fix.

Initially I had planned to paint the stem of the pumpkin gold, put now I kinda like

the green, but I had messed it up while painting the pumpkin white so I went in with some watercolor

and repaired it to be green again.

Then I applied a coat of the gold glitter nail polish on top, this is a clear coat and

so the green kinda shows through it a bit and I like that pop of color.

And that's it!

Our pumpkins are decorated!

Who would believe that these pumpkins are inexpensive?

They look all modern, trendy and really artsy too.

It is easy for people to convince themselves that they don't need to be likable.

The difficult truth is even the biggest introvert needs to be liked by at least one person otherwise,

it's a really lonely world out there.

If you find yourself not being included in work lunches or Friday evening plans, you

may want to do some things that you probably already do more often and with a conscious

thought process to make yourself more likable.

There are certain habits that people who are likable often have.

In our day to day lives usually we see the same people everyday.

There are people we like to be around and others we generally would rather avoid or

not see at all.

You see them coming towards you and you immediately start coming up with ways to avoid having

a conversation with them.

On the flip side, there are people you can't wait to see on a Monday morning to share details

of your weekend because they are just nice people to be around.

These people have really good social skills and they tend to be very likable.

Some of the habits noted below are things you may have noticed about people who are

likable.

They are habits that you may already have but need to do more often.

1.

You are not a know-it-all.

You don't jump into conversations and act like you know everything.

You listen to other people and you ask appropriate questions.

You tend to make people feel good about themselves.

People find themselves gravitating to you for advice or just small talk.

2.

You mind your own business.

You aren't a snob but you generally don't give your input where it is not needed.

It is quite annoying when you have a person in the office who eavesdrop on conversations

and provides their opinions when they aren't invited to do so.

You know when you are needed and when it is a good idea to keep a low profile.

3.

You don't hold grudges.

You let things go especially when the argument is inconsequential.

You have learned over time to be the bigger person which makes you win people's admiration.

People like you because they have a clean slate with you.

You are not a pushover because you let people know what they have crossed the line but you

also don't hold it against them in the long run.

You are patient.

You give people opportunities, room to grow, and space to inherently make mistakes.

You know that everything in life has a learning curve and you give people around you a chance

to grow into themselves.

This makes you more likable because people can trust you.

You are often the person people come to for help around the office if something isn't

working.

You give compliments.

You notice things about people which means you are not self centered.

Often people see you and they smile genuinely because they are happy to see you.

People subconsciously remember you said something nice about them which makes you more likable.

You notice the good things about people.

Sometimes, it is difficult to work with people who have different personalities especially

when they are so different from our own.

You are able to see the good in people and focus more on it than on the bad which has

opened many opportunities for you because you are likable.

You are able to capitalize on the good things and people feel appreciated around you.

You don't jump into conclusions.

There is nothing more annoying than someone who doesn't know all the facts forming an

inappropriate or unfair conclusion.

You take in the details and weigh all the facts.

That way you don't come of as unfair or biased.

People respect you and like you more because you take time to analyze issues before making

premature conclusions.

You are genuine.

It is becoming harder to meet genuine people these days which makes you more likable.

You are not phony and you also don't entertain fake people.

You give constructive criticism and people often come to you when they have an issue

they need to resolve because they know you genuinely care about them.

Once you have built a reputation for being genuine, anything you say or do for them comes

from a good place.

When people need your help they know they can count on you to provide adequate support

without taking all the credit.

9.

You are generous.

You are not stingy with good things.

If you find a discount or deal, you share it with the people around you.

You are the type of person who brings snacks from the places you have been on vacation

to the office.

If there is something you can do to help someone you find a way to extend yourself which makes

people like you.

You help when needed without being overbearing.

You can be relied on to keep people's secrets.

You do not betray confidences and people trust you.
