EDENI - The Positive ZeroWaste - Duration: 1:07.

Hello everybody!

Today we are with Hélène, from EDENI

Can you tell us more?

I first had the idea of EDENI during the G7, when I was working for the government.

I was seeing all the Environment experts, supposed to be the most advanced, with their plastic bottles.

I realized it is not by lack of motivation that we do not act, but because we do not know HOW.

So I created a Club, and a bootcamp

where, altogether during 6 weeks, over 6 evenings,

we help and challenge each other

with experts, philosophers, therapists,

we see in a really concrete manner what can be done in our daily life

to become Zero Waste, but also change in your work, have more meaning,

and wake up happier everyday!

Cool! Is it hard to become Zero Waste?

Honestly, no!

I started one year ago, and I only have one jar of waste left,

and my life is great!

I am a working woman in Paris,

and I don't need to produce waste!

Great! Thank you very much!

See you!

HAUL THINGS RANDOM ALIEXPRESS | things from Less than € 2 - Duration: 9:19.

What's up, neighbors?

Well, today I bring you another Haul Aliexpress

of little things I've been buying

It's a bit varied, has everything,

for both kitchen and bath, to do crafts.

I know it's not the background that I have usually

but the camera is giving me a lot of trouble

so I had to change the background because it did not focus well.

It was the only way to record the video.

The shirt I am wearing today

It is going back to the air

It is having the loop

I showed on the other Haul

and I leave here the information

if you want to see both Haul, such as t

All I'll teach you to let down

in the information box every link

so you can go buy whatever you want

and if you want, we started

The first thing I teach

I have received just today

and I bought it for a friend to give him

because it was his birthday

This kitty cup

Super chula

I love, you have the tail here

It is glass. It seems a little smaller

what came in the picture, but the truth is that it is super duper

I liked it very much. He came into this box

and he came very wrapped

He had lots of bubble wrap

in fact I have all the bubble wrap here

All this came to wrap the box

Cup cost me € 4.85 and took about 15 days to arrive

Another thing that took very little time to arrive

and I really saw him and fell in love

I also shared on the Facebook page,

If anyone had bought what ever

and the truth is that I was looking for quite some time

I decicí the end to buy it and actually buy two

They are travelogues

and the truth is that I look super cool

I bought one for me and one for a friend

that of my friend I'm not going to open,

but I'll show mine

It's like a folder

that you open and has inside

a small notebook

which it is as a diary

you can put the itineraries

You can score as a diary where you've been

it has cost you

then you have a checklist

You have to store phone number

on the other side

It has some maps

which they are scratch

of these which are then put color,

and the truth is that I really want to use it

and travel and record everything here

The daily cost me € 9.85

and it took 15 days to arrive

and it is super good.

I bought it for crafts

I've set out to do a few crafts,

so I decided to buy it.

It is a lot of crafts.

Which is super duper, really, I loved it.

Come, you see, pipe cleaners.

Not as I will call you.

I call "limpiapipas"

Is normal, matte color,

and those who come with glitter

like Christmas wreaths

and 100 are each

I mean, 100 normal and 100 others

Also came tiny pompoms,

Super funny, a lot of colors

are 300

then a great little pompoms

just different colors.

They come 30.

and plastic eye

They come in different sizes

tots come, come very large

they come medium

They are also 100

All this, total cost me € 8.45

and it took about 20 days to arrive.

With this that I plan to do little things craft,

also I had set myself a few things cosmetics

Manual, natural

such as lip balms.

and then I ordered a cosmetic jars

to save paints and cosmetics.

I ordered these little plastic boxes.

come 10

They are quite tiny

They are, for example, to go on a trip.

if you leave this out at the airport

They are the size of a coin 1 €

and shallow

and it comes in different colors. They are super good

I can not wait to use them to get things

They cost € 0.94 in total 10 boxes

and it took about 25 days to arrive

Another thing I was watching a lot of time

in aliexpress, it is this Ladybird

that is to hang toothbrushes

I bought it and used it a lot on the floor he had in Seville

We kept here all toothbrushes and paste

and it is super-cool

I liked muchísmo. It was very cheap

It cost me 86 cents

the pegarinas stick very well

He had in different colors

I think it was green, blue and yellow

Things that I have cooking

do not know if you have seen on Instagram

or facebook, I leave it down all in the information box.

But I was compratiendo few things I bought

to make pastries

and then I bought

this here

It is a dispenser of dough

I use it a lot, especially for

to make cupcakes

or pancakes

It works really well

It's like a pitcher. Right here

You can make dough

Cupcakes, the pancakes

and he has here as a push

your you squeeze and opens

a groove in the middle, through which the mass falls

also it comes with its lid

if we have done a lot of dough pancakes

and we want to save it

simply covers and refrigerator keeps perfectly

It's super easy to clean

I bought me but after 14 €

So two jars

I mean, this came and went another

It took only 15 days to arrive

and the truth is that I use a lot

and finally, the last thing I'll show

This applicator is

decorations for cakes or muffin

this came the applicator

several nozzles

with different shapes nozzles

and also he came with the pastry bag

It is like a pastry bag but

much easier to use

because all you have to do is

put the dough into a sleeve

it's included

and the nozzle here metes

and then you're pressing

as you want to go by

and it is super good. I really like

and I'm using pretty

to make all the decorations

and I love it

It cost about 2.76 €

and it took about 25 days to arrive

Well, neighbors so far featured video

I hope you liked it very much

Let down on the comments which is the thing that you liked

I think me, personally

What I liked most has been the travel diary

I'm really looking forward to using it

I can not wait to plan

few trips and to write down everything here

which it is very handy

Even in the envelope that comes

You can get something you caught

a restaurant. an invoice, a coaster

something that is characteristic of any site

and the truth that I like a lot. I hope my friend

also like it

I also liked a lot the lot of crafts

because I'm looking forward to doing a lot of little things

and ye see him

And nothing guys, thank you very much for seeing me and

Until next time!

Lost and Found - Jack Marshall Can't Do This - Webseries - Episode 11 - Duration: 4:46.

So, remember that girl's phone that I found in the last video?

I ran out of Davidson's Coffee Haus to try and find her, but she was gone.

So, I waited because who doesn't come back for their phone, right?

So, I walked around the corner to check some other stores.

I thought I saw her, so I ran after her.

I tripped.

I fell, and I shattered her screen.

So, I'm not gonna just return a shattered phone to Davidson's.

[doorbell chime]

I sent House to civilization the next morning to have it repaired

and, somewhere between having it fixed and returning it home safely,

he manages to drop it in a puddle.

Because what hasn't happened to this poor girl's phone yet?

[doorbell chimes]

House!

Couscous was all we had, so I stuffed it in a bowl and hoped for the best.

Finally, some good news.

The phone powers back on, the screen is now repaired,

and I'm gonna return it to Davidson's later this afternoon.

[multiple doorbell chimes]

[insistent knocking]

Just one second.

O.S.: Hello, Jack Marshall.

Uh, hi.

I believe you have something of mine?

Yes, right this way.

I went back to the coffee shop for my phone,

and they said that nobody turned it in.

Yes, so long story.

I bet because you had me going every which way, trying to track you on GPS.

I hadn't anticipated your crazy, disappearing, invisible ninja skills

Ah, well I think disappearing and invisible are the same thing.

No.

Disappearing is an act. Invisibility is a state of being.

So.

Where's my phone?

Right, yes.

What's it doing in there?

The important thing is that it is in one piece.

What, did you drop it in a sink or something?

It was a puddle, and it wasn't me. It wa- -

Doesn't matter. It's fixed and here it is.

What's that?

Oh, I do video blogs.

Is it recording right now?

Yeah, I mean I was in the middle of doing one when you, when you came in.

Uh-huh.

Right.

Well, thank you for taking such good care of my phone.

So, how'd you know my name?

Everyone knows your name.

So, did you know my aunt?

Yeah, I did. Did you?

What's that supposed to mean?

Look, people have lived around here for a very long time and no one's ever seen you.

Those people don't know me.

Yeah, well they knew Josette Marshall.

She was my aunt, okay? I loved her.

It's not that same as knowing her.

Well, I'm getting to know her.

How?

I'm throwing a m-memorial.

A memorial?

Yes, a memorial.

When?

December.

Well, I look forward to attending that.

Are you sure you won't be out of town?

I never go out of town. Why?

I don't know. You just mentioned Miami and Los Angeles

when you're on the phone at the coffee shop.

Wait, were you eavesdropping?

No, I was not. -That was a personal conversation.

Well, in my defense, it was hard not to hear you.

That doesn't make it okay.

I know, that's not what I'm saying.

How about you mind your own business and I'll mind mine, okay?

Well, how about you stop talking behind your boyfriend's back so everybody can hear it.

Oh, so now I have a boyfriend, too.

You don't?

That is also none of your business.

You know, people have private conversations that are very personal at coffee shops all the time.

Would you just relax?

Relax? Oh, so now you're telling me how I should feel, is that it?

No, that's not it.

Let me tell you something, Jack Marshall.

And let me be really clear about it for all your weird little stories.

You can walk around here like you know everything,

but let me tell you that people here, we see right through that.

We know exactly what you're doing here.

And it has nothing to do with your Aunt.

And you know what?

I don't want you looking for me.

I don't want you to talk to me.

I don't even want you thinking about me, if I'm being honest.

So, asking for your name is out of the question?

[door slams]

That's a solid no.

Trump Rates His Puerto Rican Response A Perfect 10 As Residents Continue To Suffer - Duration: 3:46.

On Thursday Donald Trump decided he was going to rate his own response to the disaster in

Puerto Rico following hurricanes Irma and Maria.

According to Donald Trump, he would score his performance a perfect 10/10.

Trump doesn't think that he's done anything wrong with his response to the disaster down

there.

He thinks that he has been the perfect example of what a perfect leader should be.

Let's talk for just a second about how horrible things are down there.

28% of the population of that United States territory does not have access to clean drinking

water.

They don't.

No clean water to drink.

In fact, as we've put it on the past, the EPA has had to step in because people are

actually approaching super fund sites, areas that are filled with highly toxic corporate

waste, they've been going to those sites and trying to gather up the polluted water just

so that they had something to drink.

Furthermore, we know that the Trump administration waived the Jones Act to finally allow supply

ships to go down there and help them rebuild.

Then they immediately reinstated it, which has prevented further ships from being able

to make it down there with much needed medicine, food, supplies, water, things like that.

Then we have Trump's disastrous trip to Puerto Rico where he thew paper towels to members

of a crowd as if that somehow was going to help the situation or give the people what

they need to get back on their feet.

I'm sure a few rolls of Bounty is certainly going to put their lives back together.

A lot of comparisons have been made to Donald Trump's response to Puerto Rico to Bush's

response to hurricane Katrina and in many ways Trump's response to Puerto Rico is far,

far worse.

George W. Bush with Katrina showed an incredible amount of ignorance and arrogance and a complete

lack of empathy for the people in that region.

Trump has not only shown all of those things for the people of Puerto Rico but he's actively

taunted them and blamed them for their own situation.

He's told them that, "You know what?

Your economy was in shambles, so therefore your infrastructure was crumbling before the

storm.

Don't blame everything on the storm.

You got to take some responsibility."

Other republicans like Paul Ryan have actually come forward and suggested that maybe the

best thing is to let Puerto Rico pull themselves out of this mess.

Pull yourself up by your boot straps.

Be a self made territory, as it will.

This is insanity, folks.

Donald Trump's thinking that he has responded perfectly to this disaster where we have American

citizens dying ... The latest reports show that as many as 450 people may have died as

a result of these storms.

Him giving himself a perfect score is not only disgusting but it shows how dangerous

this man is as the president of the United States if he thinks that his response to Puerto

Rico has been 100% perfect.

At this point I honestly don't think that his response to the crisis in Puerto Rico

could be any worse than it's already been.

5 Things to Consider Before Hiring an ISA - Duration: 2:58.

Hey guys! Have you ever thought about hiring an inside sales agent,

but you're just not sure if you have the systems and structures in place to make it happen?

I'm gonna give you my thoughts on that today.

All right

So last video we talked about

hiring an inside sales agent in so many teams they jump into this hiring of an inside sales agent before they're ready because they're just

overwhelmed with business and so last video

I talked about some strategies and some tactics you need to look at

before you jump into the water of hiring an inside sales agent and today

I want to dive a little deeper into the systems and structure.

What you want to make sure is that you have systems and structures in place to make sure that your inside sales agent is really

efficient because if you don't have these in place you're gonna end up hiring an ISA

and they're gonna turn into an admin for your business

and that's not why you hired them. You hired them to get on the phone, to make cold calls, to do the things that you

don't want to do anymore for the most part

and so you need to make sure you have the systems and structures in place to make it happen. The first tip is you need

to have a CRM. Do you have a way to manage the

contacts, the leads, the prospects, that are coming in.

Do you have a way to manage them a system to manage them to make sure your ISA is efficient?

Second is, do you have a dialer?

I'm telling you definitely get a dialer for your business

you can hand-dial,

but trust me the dialer is just gonna make your ISA so much more efficient and able to just go from one call to the

next. The third that you want to look at is your business development process. How are you getting your leads?

How are you keeping track of them? How are you gonna want your a ISA to, you know structure their day?

What leads are they going to be calling? For my real estate agents out there

You should be looking at FSBOs, expired listings,

just listed/just sold campaigns, your past clients, your sphere of influence, this should be the structure of your

ISA's day. And then the fourth tip that I'll give you is the KPIs.

What are you gonna measure the ISA's

performance against? One should be the phone time. Your ISA should be on the phone three hours a day minimum.

You should be doing 15-20 hours a week as an ISA on the phone,

that's why you've hired them. Another would be the appointments

What's your go-off rate of appointments?Make sure they're actually hitting the benchmarks that you have set

because you are predefined the KPIs and the expectations of that ISA and then a last tip that

I'll give you is that

selling has really changed because we have

social media now, so so many buyers are making their decision before they even talk to somebody on the phone

so make sure your ISA is prepared for social selling and that you've included that into your system.

So there you have it guys.

There are some tips to help you with your system and structure that you need to be thinking about. If you like these tips subscribe

to our YouTube channel, of course comment below, let me know

you know the experience you've had with hiring an ISA and the systems and structures you've put in place. Check us out on Instagram and

Facebook, but most importantly guys take action on this today.

GUESS WHO WASN'T INVITED TO THE NFL MEETING ABOUT THE NATIONAL ANTHEM PROTESTS - Duration: 2:48.

National anthem controversy took a new turn when an important meeting, as they think , happened

its headquarters Tuesday.

Can you guess who were not invited to join the NFL meeting?

Yes, you are right, Colin Kaepernick or Jerry Jones were absent there, they were not asked

to attend the meeting.

Colin Kaepernick is the first anti-national flag player who started kneeling against national

last season.

Then the protest broke out in all NFL teams and they followed the rebelled Kaepernick.

It is odd that Goodell chose to invite at least one former player to participate, but

not the player who started the controversy to begin with.

But when the statistics of recent NFL ratings comes to us, it gives an understanding why

the former quarterback was denied.

Tuesday an unprecedented meeting between NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, players, and team

owners took place at league headquarters.

They were to address the National Anthem protest controversy.

It was supposed to hear of openly all the players' who are raising their silent voice

on field showing kneeling to national flag.

It would be an open and frank discussion of the issue, but one obvious voice was not invited

to be heard, that is Colin Kaepernick.

Chargers tackle Russell Okung, Washington cornerback Josh Norman, NFL Commissioner Roger

Goodell and New England owner Robert Kraft are among the players, owners and executives

attended the Tuesday meeting to discuss how the league should move forward on the national

anthem controversy.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones who threatened to bench any player who didn't stand for

the anthem was also absent the meeting.

According to the Times, an NFL spokesman said he was not aware if Kaepernick was even invited

to the meeting.

After the meeting, the league and NFLPA released this joint statement:

"Today owners and players had a productive meeting focused on how we can work together

to promote positive social change and address inequality in our communities.

NFL executives and owners joined NFLPA executives and player leaders to review and discuss plans

to utilize our platform to promote equality and effectuate positive change.

We agreed that these are common issues and pledged to meet again to continue this work

together.

"As we said last week, everyone who is part of our NFL community has a tremendous respect

for our country, our flag, our anthem and our military.

In the best American tradition, we are coming together to find common ground and commit

to the hard work required for positive change."

What do you think?

Did NFL take the position not to invite the quarterback at the meeting?

What the reason would be behind this?

Incredible Facts About US Special Forces - Duration: 13:52.

The United States government has tried their best to keep the facts about their Special

Forces and what they do as secretive as possible.

However, in a country that is so proud of its military and their lore, quite a bit has

managed to leak out anyway.

More recently, the Navy SEALs have been very much in the spotlight due to the raid on the

compound holding Osama Bin Laden, as well as the subsequent movies and books about it.

However, much of what you have heard recently about the SEALs may not be the whole truth,

and there are many other equally interesting Special Forces that have fallen under the

radar in recent years.

10.

The American Green Berets are a Nod to British Royal Commandos During World War 2

The Green Berets are one of the most famous special forces divisions in the world, and

one of the two most well known in the US army, the other being the US Army Rangers.

The Green Berets were originally formed as a unit for performing unconventional warfare

when needed, getting a lot of their original work during Vietnam, where they fought with

guerilla tactics and trained those Vietnamese on the American side to do the same.

However, while the classic green beret is synonymous with American special forces, it

is actually really a nod of respect to the British soldiers that inspired their existence

in the first place.

The green beret was designed by a former Special Forces Major Herbert Brucker, who had been

with the OSS, and was very familiar with the British Commandos during World War II, who

wore green berets as standard issue.

The green beret was actually not officially sanctioned at first, and was mostly worn during

combat training to sort of build morale.

Eventually, President Kennedy expanded the role of the Special Forces in Cold War operations,

and officially asked them to wear the green beret from then on.

The Green Berets now specially honor Kennedy, laying a wreath at his gravesite every year

in remembrance of the respect he showed them.

9.

The US Does Not Track Confirmed Kills For Any Branch, Special Forces or Otherwise

Not that long ago, late SEAL sniper Chris Kyle had a book published that self aggrandized

his life and role in a way that was likely not particularly approved by military command,

and doesn't really befit the generally humble and secretive role special forces are supposed

to take on.

Regardless, he quickly became a folk hero in certain circles, partly for his claims

that he had the most confirmed sniper kills in history.

Now, we should first point out that snipers today have a lot of very advanced equipment

and math on their side, so comparing them to the achievements of the past is hardly

fair.

Further, since then other snipers who had put their humility on the back-burner have

claimed to have even higher kill counts.

The problem is that their entire premise is bunk – there are no "confirmed kill"

lists in the military.

The military does keep track of incidents, but they are mostly going on the word of the

soldiers involved, and don't keep a kill tally anywhere.

They don't have the time, or would take the effort if they did, to go through every

incident a soldier was involved in and keep a kill tally.

So when a soldier says they have a certain amount of kills, some people would just take

them at their word, as they trust a military man.

But it is easy for our memories to play tricks on us and to exaggerate our accomplishments

even in our own minds.

The truth is that confirmed kill counts simply aren't a thing, except in the individual's

mind.

8.

The Navy SEALs Have Something Called "Hell Week" That is Perhaps Even Worse Than It

Sounds

The United States Navy SEALs have been in the news the past few years for several high

profile operations, and because of the media spotlight that Chris Kyle turned on himself

and the SEAL community.

They are known for being incredibly tough, absurdly well trained, and some of the best

of the best even among fellow Special Forces groups.

The way they get there is a selection process that is straight out of hell.

The final part of the initial training involves a five and a half day period designated as

'hell week', where you get less than four hours of sleep a night, and are constantly

subjected to grueling training in the most rigorous conditions.

Trainees can expect to get covered in mud, stand in ocean water, stand still while soaking

on the beach, paddle boats, carry boats over their heads, do all sorts of physical exercises

and training drills, deal with horrible cold, physical pain and discomfort, complete exhaustion

in some cases, and extreme mental fatigue.

All of this is expected to be done while extremely sleep deprived, and good decision making is

very important during the final part of the training.

To make matters even harder, the drill instructors will stand nearby with bullhorns and encourage

people to drop out, to mimic the voice in their head that tells them to quit.

The SEALs believe that mentally wanting it is more important than anything, so this negative

encouragement ensures that the trainee really does want it more than anything.

7.

The "Night Stalkers" are Especially Good at Nighttime Operations, Helicopter Use, and

Awesome Names

The Night Stalkers are a Special Forces division of the Army whose job is almost entirely to

fly helicopters.

Some of the larger helicopters that carry multiple people will also have a trained Night

Stalker medic on board as well.

These forces got their name because of their skill at getting to areas undetected at night,

although they are known for being good at stealth at any time of day or in any region,

and are known for their motto "Night Stalker's Don't Quit."

As a helicopter force, their job is to get into places where reinforcement, supplies,

or evacuation of some kind is needed, often having to make their way through hostile territory

to get there.

This has made them very good at making their way through incredibly dangerous weather,

terrain and enemy emplacements, in order to backup the US military as needed.

(Quick note: if you've seen or read Black Hawk Down, the Black Hawk helicopters were

piloted by Night Stalkers.)

They are known for comprehensive but quick training that is constantly reinforced on

a regular basis, bringing new people up to readiness quicker than some other special

forces – but no less good at their jobs.

Many people may also not realize that while the SEALs got the lion's share of the glory,

they relied on the Night Stalkers for insertion and extraction when they raided the compound

where terrorist mastermind Osama Bin Laden was hiding.

6.

Delta Force is So Secretive You Aren't Even Supposed to Know They Exist

Delta Force is one of the strangest Special Force units, and possibly the most elite of

them all – if nothing else, they are the most secretive.

Delta Force members are not supposed to tell anyone the unit exists, with threat of prison,

and understand well the consequences and the importance of keeping their role a secret.

When a Delta Force member dies, the United States Army will not admit that they were

a member of Delta Force, as the unit is supposed to be kept

that secret.

It is one of those open secrets, such as the DEFCON levels – something that is still

the highest level of classified – that somehow leaked out anyways.

However, despite their existence being leaked, this doesn't mean the government has any

desire to give any details about what they do.

We do know that they were the ones who captured Saddam Hussein, and who also took out several

top leaders in Iraq shortly after, but very little is known about them.

Unlike the SEALs, they are not compartmentalized.

They are more like a shadow force that operates almost alongside and within the regular army,

so that they can perform more longterm operations as needed – whereas the SEALs tend to be

used for more quick in-and-out missions.

While some wonder why the SEALs get all the glory, the focus on the SEALs helps Delta

Force to keep their mission and work as secretly as possible.

5.

US Special Forces Have to Know Multiple Languages On Top of Having Amazing Combat Capabilities

Most people tend to think of Special Forces as just highly trained killers who specialize

in survival skills as well.

They are often believed to be incredibly physically fit, and mentally sound, but popular media

often doesn't portray them as particularly intellectual in their pursuits.

More often than not, it focuses mostly on the aspect of their prowess as warriors and

their hardened emotions that allow them to make tough choices in combat and kill others

before they kill them.

However, to get into the Special Forces you have to be the best of the best, and this

does not just include physical characteristics.

Anyone who wants to be in the Special Forces, especially in a leadership position, needs

to clearly demonstrate their intelligence, especially under pressure.

And Special Forces training includes intensive training in another language, usually one

that will be used commonly in the region you are deploying to.

You are not just expected to be tough and strong, you are also expected to be bilingual

so you can communicate with the locals and even blend in if necessary.

Being in the Special Forces is often more about the mental aspect than the physical.

As we talked about earlier when discussing the Navy SEALs, many in leadership believe

that the drive to be a part of the Special Forces is far more important than your physical

fitness.

4.

Some US Special Forces are Allowed to Grow Beards and Have More Lax Discipline in General

Some US Special Forces are actually allowed to grow beards.

This is partly due to the Special Forces units often having more individuality and lax discipline

as part of their structure – the most elite people tend to be less likely to want to submit

to strict orders and the stifling of creative thought.

However, apart from the unique personality of Special Forces, there are also strategic

reasons for beard-wearing in the Middle Eastern theaters of war, specifically.

Many Middle Easterners simply do not respect a man who does not have a full beard, and

for those who are in positions where they constantly interact with regular, everyday

folk in the towns, it can make it difficult to get respect or blend in without a beard.

And more often then not, these roles end up in the hands of the Special Forces.

This has always been controversial, as many in the regular units feel it is giving the

Special Forces privileges they should not have, and some in leadership believe that

it can eventually lead to a breakdown in order and discipline where troops wear less and

less of the proper uniform, and altogether take their jobs too casually.

Recently the United States military cracked down and started ordering those who are not

in positions where they regularly interact with people in the towns to start shaving

their beards, whether they were Special Forces or not.

In order to ensure proper discipline, they felt that if you don't have a strategic

reason for having a beard, you should not be sporting one.

Of course, some in the Special Forces were not happy at all to hear this.

3.

The US has a Division of Special Forces Who Specialize in Predicting the Weather

It's something you really don't think about, but when you do stop to think about

it, it seems rather obvious.

Of course the United States military cannot afford to rely on the National Weather Service

for accurate weather predictions.

They often need very quick and accurate calculations in very tense situations where lives are on

the line and time is of the essence.

These situations often occur in remote areas where any kind of weather service is little

to nonexistent, or simply isn't close to accurate enough to make calls that could decide

the fate of human lives.

And that is where the Special Operations Weather Technicians, or SOWT, come in.

They are tasked regularly with keeping a constant eye on the weather in new and hostile environments,

and sometimes have to make decisions with very little to go on.

In some rare cases, they have been parachuted in in order to assess the situation to see

if a safe escape by helicopter was possible in dangerously foggy conditions.

They are often brought along as a precaution when weather is bad, in order to provide input

to helicopter pilots on how to avoid the most dangerous weather and bring everyone safely

back to base.

While most people have not heard of them, they are a vital and integral part of the

United States Special Forces.

2.

The US Unified Command Structure For All Special Forces was Only Established in 1987

The United States Special Operations Command, or SOCOM for short, is something you would

think existed for a long time.

They are tasked with coordinating all of the various and sundry Special Forces units, making

sure that they can all work properly together, and don't accidentally bump into each other

while performing operations.

While it would seem like common sense to have something like this to begin with, sadly that

was not the case.

Back in the 1980s the Iranians were holding hostages, and Delta Force botched a rescue

effort rather badly.

Not to besmirch Delta Force, though; the blame for the failure was put on the fact that several

Special Operations groups were not properly coordinating together, which lead the mission

to become disorganized.

After this disaster, the United States leadership decided that they simply could not afford

such a thing to happen again – our most elite units and all the training we put in

are no good if we cannot keep them properly organized and coordinated.

We do them a disservice that way.

Since then, the United States has had a unified command for Special Forces to ensure such

problems do not occur again.

1.

The US Pararescue Force is Often Tasked with Recovering Astronauts After Water Landings

The Pararescue force is one of the most elite in the United States Special Forces.

While they are not as aggrandized by the media, as they are not really known for combat, their

skills are some of the most important, and very, very few make the cut.

The entire strength of the Pararescue at any given time is only about 500 men, which is

incredibly selective even for Special Forces.

They are intensively trained in the ability to parachute from all kinds of distances and

into all kinds of conditions, are skilled at survival, and are often trained with medical

skills to help those they are trying to tend to behind the lines.

When they were in their earliest days, the Pararescue were volunteer medics from the

army who dropped into a deep jungle to care for wounded people who had bailed out of a

plane near the Chinese border.

Since then they have been tasked with being on hand to rescue astronauts from the water

on splashdown, and once rescued Neil Armstrong and astronaut David R. Scott when they had

to make an unexpected landing in 1966.

More recently, they have seen a lot of activity in the Middle East, rescuing civilians from

landslides while braving horrific weather conditions and risking enemy attacks at the

same time.

How to Eat Seasonally And Know What's In Season - Duration: 3:06.

Hey y'all! It's your girl Haley. I'm the girl behind Brewing Happiness which is a

health and happiness website with recipes dedicated to all versions of

health. I'm partnering with Mint to bring you a series of articles and videos

about food and your budget. So this week, I'm talking to you about eating

seasonally. First, how to know what's in season. Second, why to eat seasonally and

then in the article that's linked with this, I'll be providing some examples of

what's in season right now and maybe even some recipe ideas. So check that out.

So first and foremost, figuring out what's in season. People think that this

is very intimidating and hard to do, but I promise it's super simple. My first tip

is go to your local farmers market. Everything there is gonna be grown by

the farmers locally so therefore will be in season. Or even if you don't like to

shop at your farmers market, you could go take notes of what the farmers

have there and then you could buy those things at your grocery store. Second tip

is at your grocery store take a note of what there's a lot of right now. I know

in my grocery store there's a lot of squash, there's a lot of apples, there's a

lot of greens, so I know all of those things are in season. And the second

thing is to look for what's on sale. What's in season is often gonna be on

sale. It's simple supply and demand. There's a lot being grown by the farmers

and a lot that they need to sell, so prices go down. There's often signs in

your grocery store that tell you where the food is grown from so if the food is

being grown somewhere relatively close to you, it probably means it's in

season. If they're having to ship it from pretty far away, probably means that it's

not in your local season. So I would stay away from those things. So those are

three good things to check when you're in the grocery store to help know what's

in season. The third easy way to know what's in

season is to just Google it. There are tons of resources online that can help

you with that, so give it a go and you can make a list before you go to your

grocery store and it'll make it easier for you to shop seasonally. So now I want

to talk a little bit about why to eat seasonally.

A: helps farmers. It helps continue the cycle of supply and demand farmers have

a lot of it so if people consume it, it works out really well.

B: because there is a lot prices, will go down. So that means it's gonna help your

food budget. And C: eating seasonally can actually help you figure out what

pairs well together. Often what's grown in season together, mixes really well

together in recipes. So that's a very brief overview of how to know what's in

season and why you should eat seasonally. Again, the article attached to this will

have some more specific information on what's currently in season and some

recipe ideas for you. If you have any questions, follow me at @BrewingHappiness

I'm happy to answer those and I will be back for more of these talks with you

guys about food and budget and life and I will see you guys next time! Bye!

Cuphead: The Story of the Moldenhauer Family - Duration: 11:06.

How far would you go to make your dream project a reality?

Would you make a deal with the devil, and gamble everything you own for a chance at success?

For Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, creating their own magnum opus was no easy task.

When the pair of brothers started working on a video game inspired by Golden Age cartoons,

they had no idea just how much work would be involved in bringing the project to life.

Jared and Chad's game evolved from a simple hobby project that they worked on over weekends,

into an enormous, life-changing experience that saw them quitting their jobs, refinancing

their homes, and betting their entire livelihoods on the hope that maybe, just maybe, people

might love their work.

It took seven years to complete their game, but when it finally was released, Chad and

Jared saw their humble little passion project take the world by storm.

This is the story of the tumultuous birth of Cuphead.

Chad and Jared Moldenhauer were not only brothers growing up; they were best friends.

The pair came from a large family, but they got along best with each other, bonding over

their shared love of video games, and animated cartoons.

Jared and Chad spent hours together, watching VHS tapes that showcased a bygone era of animation.

Betty Boop, Popeye the Sailor Man, and the early adventures of a certain cartoon mouse

were all in regular rotation in the cassette player.

The pair pored over each individual frame, falling slowly but inevitably in love with

the wacky, bendy cartoons that were already fifty years old by this point.

As the brothers grew up, and even as they moved to different cities in their home country

of Canada, they constantly kept in contact.

Chad's wife Maja liked to joke that he spent more time talking to Jared than to her!

As the two chatted back and forth about their interests, they had the idea to try making

their own video game.

This was only ever planned as a hobby project – they simply wanted to try their own hands

at making a game like Contra or Gunstar Heroes.

Something tough, that hearkened back to the oldschool shooters of their childhood.

Their initial plans fizzled out, but it didn't really seem to matter, as it was only ever

something to do for fun.

The games industry of the year 2000 wasn't designed to allow small, independent game

makers to get any attention.

Then, a decade later, with the success of indie hit Super Meat Boy, which traded high

on punishingly difficult platforming, the pair figured that perhaps it was time to reignite

their plans.

Jared and Chad imagined a game that took their two great loves, and mashed them together.

Their obsession with hand-drawn 2D animation of the 1930s still burned strong, and they

wondered whether they could make a video game using traditional animation methods that could

also be a gruelingly challenging bullet hell shooter.

For inspiration, they looked at a very obscure.

In a 1936 animation released long before World War II broke out, Mickey Mouse is shown representing

America as an evil invader, while a heroic Japanese character with a cup for a head morphs

into a tank to protect civilians.

It's a bizarre cartoon to say the least, but it had stuck in Chad and Jared's heads

to firmly that they felt like they wanted to create their own tribute character.

Thus, Cuphead was born.

Jared and Chad weren't interested in taking shortcuts to make their game match their vision.

The artwork would be paramount to the experience, and that meant doing things the old fashioned

way.

They were going to use authentic cartooning paper, pens, and paints to hand-draw every

single frame of animation that would appear in the game.

This proved to be a pretty difficult process.

Maja, Chad's wife, joined the project as an artist, and ordered a huge stack of special

transparent animation cel paper, thinking that she'd bought enough to more than cover

the making of the game.

It didn't take long for the entire supply to run dry, and Maja had to order twice as

much again in order to cover the small team's needs.

As it turned out, animating an entire video game involved far more drawings than even

a big budget traditionally animated cartoon movie.

Aware of their limitations, Chad and Jared agreed that while they'd like to make a

long, sprawling shooter akin to the games of their childhood, they'd probably be better

off making something smaller in scope.

They had the idea to create a Boss Rush of sorts, with the player facing a series of

big, colorful enemies without too much platforming or exploration.

The initial plan was to create eight of these bosses, and then possibly expand the roster

with downloadable content if the initial game proved a hit.

All of this work continued around Jared and Chad's day jobs.

Along with Maja and some other helpers, they worked on weekends and at evenings, having

fun building something they could be proud of.

This, they hoped, would be a fun game that they could get some enjoyment out of, and

maybe other people out there might like it too.

Nevertheless, the Moldenhauers were making something special, and this was clearly obvious.

Their game was selected for debut at E3 2014, after four years of initial work on the project,

and audiences went wild.

There wasn't a playable demo ready at that point – the team insisted that they weren't

even half-way through finished with the slow animation process at that point – but instantly,

the game earned a massive following.

The next year, Cuphead returned to the show, and the Moldenhauers suddenly discovered that

popularity comes at a cost.

Audiences who had been looking forward to the game were disappointed to learn that it

was going to be so small.

They weren't aware of how much work was going on behind the scenes, and they felt

that a simple Boss Rush was a wasted opportunity for such an inventive premise.

In the wake of the show, Jared and Chad had some difficult decisions to make.

Could they expand their game?

Should they return to their older plans for a more expansive title and create the Cuphead

that they'd initially dreamed up?

This work wasn't easy.

Committing to a bigger game would mean betting their entire lives, all their savings, and

even their homes on the hope that their little project would prove a success.

But the fan reaction from E3 was clear.

People wanted a bigger game.

Hesitantly, Chad and Jared quit their day jobs and remortgaged their homes to provide

enough capital to start their own video game production company.

This was it, they were going all in.

It was an enormous gamble, and they didn't want to have to face the devil if they lost,

but they were going to risk everything for the chance to make Cuphead the game they'd

always dreamed of making.

Expanding the team for this new, larger vision of Cuphead wasn't easy.

Jared and Chad had to find artists that shared their own sensibilities, and their love of

oldschool animation.

There was a lot of guesswork involved, looking at people's portfolios and wondering whether

they'd be able to capture the spirit of early animated classics.

Even once the new workforce was hired, the Moldenhauers had their hands full trying to

get the new artists up to speed.

This process of hand-animation was unfamiliar to most modern game artists, and that meant

having to relearn the process of drawing, as they grappled with a strange, archaic work

method.

Drawing things by hand meant that tiny changes to a character's animation, or size, or

movement pattern would mean starting all over again.

If an enemy's arm needed to me moved down by a few pixels, that meant redrawing the

entirety of every frame that needed to be fixed.

It also didn't help that, as new gameplay mechanics and ideas occurred to the team,

older parts of animation had to be completely redrawn.

Nevertheless, the artists that joined the team rose to the occasion and quickly started

to produce excellent work that Chad, Jared and Maja approved of.

The team also allowed for some concessions: while the backgrounds for the game were all

painted traditionally, the animated sprites were coloured digitally.

After some tests, the team found that using Photoshop to add in colour made things a lot

quicker, but didn't detract from the artstyle that the game was aiming for.

Even so, the new expanded scope meant that progress was slow.

There were plenty of delays along the way, and for a while it seemed to the public as

if Cuphead would never actually be finished.

A game that had been started in 2010 and announced in 2014 still wasn't ready after years more

work.

Finally, in 2017, the game was completed.

Chad and Jared took a deep breath as they observed their work, pleased that they'd

made something they were proud of.

As Cuphead launched around the world, gamers quickly embraced the quirky title, falling

in love with its beautiful artwork and tough-as-nails gameplay.

It turned out that there really was a large fanbase eager to explore the retro animated

world that the Moldenhauers had created.

The moral of the story is that patience will be rewarded.

You may start on your own creative projects, as Jared and Chad did, without realizing just

how much work will go into achieving your goals.

It's not always easy to make something special, and it can be tempting to take the easy way

out and do things quickly in order to avoid having to commit too much time and effort

to your project.

Effort will always shine through in creative work.

The reason why Cuphead drew attention right from the start was because Chad and Jared

had poured their hearts and souls into making the game that they'd initially been inspired

to create.

They refused to cut corners, and even though it took almost a decade to complete their

hobby project, they finally made it happen.

Don't try to rush art.

It may take a long time to make something you can be proud of, but it's better to

say that you've tried your best, than to take the easy way out for the sake of getting

things done quickly.

If you push yourself to do your best, you'll feel far more satisfied with your finished

creation.

What The Color of Your Urine Says About Your Health - Duration: 3:42.

The

color of human urine has been very useful in diagnosing diseases for centuries, since

changes in our urine's color, density, or odor, may indicate that something isn't

right with our body.

Every day, we expel tons of residue through our urine that comes from what we eat and

drink.

However, urine can also be used to alert us to a health problem, since it changes color

and odor whenever something isn't right.

When you're healthy, your urine is yellow, almost transparent.

Its characteristic color comes from a pigment called urobilin.

Our normal urine transports these urobilins which are diluted in water and give our urine

this yellow, almost see-through color.

That indicates an adequate level of hydration.

If our urine's color gets more intense, it might mean we're dehydrated.

However, if your urine is too clear, and you constantly feel the need to urinate, it might

be water intoxication, or hyper hydration.

That happens when a person drinks too much water.

Your urine could also be other colors.

Here is what they could indicate about your health:

1.

Dark yellow urine Dark yellow urine is common and normally means

dehydration, due to lack of water consumption.

However, when your urine stays dark for a long time, it could mean you have hepatic

problems.

2.

Orange urine Your urine could be orange due to an exaggerated

ingestion of foods rich in beta-carotene, such as carrots, as well as some medicines.

Liver problems may also cause your urine to turn orange.

3.

Red or pink urine If your urine is red or pink, it probably

means there is blood in your urine, and that you have a urinary tract infection, gallbladder

stone, or renal problem.

It might be a accompanied by other symptoms.

Foods such as beets may also cause your urine to turn red or pink.

4.

Blue urine Blue urine is normally caused by blue dyes

or blue methylene contrast used in computerized tomography exams, liver surgeries, or other

procedures.

5.

Green urine Green urine a serious condition normally caused

by the foods you eat, artificial dyes, medicines, or contrast used in some diagnostic exams.

6.

Brown urine Brown urine is normally a sign of severe dehydration,

but it can also indicates liver problems such as hepatitis and cirrhosis.

7.

Whitish urine Whitish urine also known as albuminuria, can

be provoked by the presence of a severe urinary tract infection, normally accompanied by a

burning sensation while peeing and fever.

There are also a few other changes in our urine that we should know about:

Foamy urine In these cases, the urine's color is almost

always normal, but it may also appear a few shades darker.

If it's very foamy, it means that there are too much protein in our body.

Strong smelling urine No type of urine has a particularly pleasant

odor, but we all know how to tell the smell of normal urine and urine that smells too

strongly apart.

If your urine smells really bad, it could be because of coffee or asparagus.

If that isn't the case, consult a doctor to see what could be wrong.

Dogs 101 Shiba Inu Japanese Dog 柴犬 - Animal Facts - Duration: 10:11.

Did you know that the Shiba Inu is considered the oldest and smallest of Japan's dogs?.

Brought to America from Japan as recently as 60 years ago, the Shiba Inu is growing

in popularity in the West and is already the most popular breed in his homeland.

This Japanese native, with his alert expression and a smooth stride, looks almost fox-like.

But for a small dog, he's a sturdy, muscular pooch with a bold, confident personality to

match.

Let's get to know him.

Hi, I'm Leroy and I'm Rosie and this is Animal Facts.

Let's get started.

But, before we start, take a moment to like and subscribe for more fun, fauna facts.

10.

The Shiba Inu is the smallest of the six original and distinct Japanese dogs.

The others are the Akita Inu, Shikoku Inu, Kishu Inu, Hokkaido, and Kai Ken.

The Shiba goes way back.

According to National Geographic, the Shiba Inu is the breed that's most genetically

similar to wolves, suggesting that he's among the oldest domesticated dog breeds.

All of the ancient Japanese breeds were bred before the 19th century and are part of the

Spitz family of dogs, exhibiting pointy ears and a thick coat.

We publish Every Monday and Friday, so hit that notification icon to not miss a single

fact.

9.

He is perhaps one of the oldest dog breeds in the world.

The Shiba's ancestors probably accompanied the earliest immigrants to Japan way back

in 7000 B.C.

Archaeologists have found remains of dogs about the size of Shibas in sites that were

inhabited by the Jomon-jin people, who lived in Japan from 14,500 B.C. to 300 A.D.

The Shiba Inu is likely the result of breeding between the Jomon-jin people's dogs and dogs

that came to Japan with a new group of immigrants in 300 B.C.

8.

The Shiba Inu has been identified as a basal breed that predates the emergence of the modern

breeds in the 19th Century.

Basal breed is a term given to breeds which have far less mixed DNA than more "modern"

breeds whose true origins are difficult to ascertain for that reason.

Originally, the Shiba Inu was bred to hunt and flush small game, such as birds and rabbits.

Despite efforts to preserve the breed, the Shiba nearly became extinct during World War

II due to a combination of food shortages and a post-war distemper epidemic.

During World War II, Japan's focus wasn't exactly on dog breeding.

All subsequent dogs were bred from the only three surviving bloodlines.

These bloodlines were the Shinshu Shiba from Nagano Prefecture, the Mino Shiba from Gifu

Prefecture, and the San'in Shiba from Tottori and Shimane Prefectures.

Today's Shiba Inu is most similar to the Shinshu, but all three contributed to the modern breed.

7.

In 1954, an armed service family brought the first Shiba Inu to the United States, but

little is known about the breed in the US until the late 70's.

In 1979, the first recorded litter was born in the United States.

The Shiba was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1992 in the Miscellaneous group and

added to the AKC Non-Sporting Group in 1993.

He is now primarily kept as a pet both in Japan and abroad.

Today, he is the 46th most popular dog in America.

Because of his friendly nature and relatively long lifespan of 12 to 16 years, the Shiba

is currently one of the most popular and most numerous companion dogs in the Land of the

Rising Sun.

He was even declared a national treasure of the country in 1936.

Many Shibas have become Instagram and YouTube sensations in Japan.

At just five years of age Bodhi the Shiba Inu has achieved something that many aspiring

models never will - he's become a successful male fashion model.

Bodhi lives in New York City with his owners Yena Kim (a former designer at Ralph Lauren)

and David Fung.

Now living the life of a high-flier, he has gained over 322,000 followers on Instagram.

Bodhi reportedly makes around $15,000 a month.

6.

The Shiba's name is kinda mysterious.

We know the word "inu" means dog in Japanese, but we don't know for certain where the name

"Shiba" came from.

Shiba means brushwood in Japanese, so it's possible that the Shiba Inu was named for

the terrain where he once hunted.

It's also possible that the name came from the Shiba's coat, which is the same color

as the autumn brushwood.

A third explanation is that the name came from the breed's size.

An obsolete meaning of the word Shiba, in an old Nagano dialect, is little.

So his name could literally mean "little dog".

Makes sense.

That's why the Shiba Inu is sometimes referred to as the "Little Brushwood Dog".

5.

His name might mean "little dog", but most would say he's conveniently sized.

He's certainly neither a large dog nor a small dog at 13 inches to 17 inches tall at

the shoulder.

And he's certainly not heavy at between 17 and 23 pounds.

His size makes him too large for the AKC's toy group, but he places nicely in the Non-Sporting

group.

The Shiba Inu is a medium-sized dog with a compact, muscular frame.

4.

The Shiba Inu is known for a bold, fiery personality.

The Japanese have three words to describe the breed's mental traits and forgive me if

I mispronounce these: kaani-i (spirited boldness), ryosei (good nature), and soboku (alertness).

Combined, these traits make up the interesting, intelligent, and strong-willed temperament

of this breed.

Like a ninja warrior, the Shiba Inu moves quickly, nimbly, and effortlessly.

3.

You must stay one step ahead of the Shiba Inu, for he is both dominant and clever.

The Shiba is very challenging to raise and train.

A bold, high-spirited "big dog in a small body," he must always be kept on-leash, for

he has a high prey drive and quick reflexes and will pursue anything that moves.

He's a true runner.

He can outrun and out-dodge any human....and frequently does.

2.

The little Shiba Inu is also an escape artist!

If bored or left alone, this dog will literally pull off some Houdini tricks in order to escape.

He is incredibly agile and flexible, and can easily climb over fences and squeeze through

narrow holes.

He is also an excellent digger, and can swiftly burrow under fences.

Now combine this with his brilliant mind, and it's perfectly clear the Shiba can't

be easily confined outdoors.

It is mandatory that you always supervise your Shiba and spend as much time as possible

with him.

This also applies if you keep your dog indoors.

Sure, he won't escape as easily from an apartment, but he'll discover other ways

to deal with boredom, such as destroying your furniture, chewing things into pieces, or

even ripping up your carpet.

1.

In 2004, an earthquake struck the village of Yamakoshi in Japan.

When her family's home collapsed, a Shiba Inu named Mari sprang into action to save

her puppies and her elderly owner.

She moved her puppies to a safe place and then found and woke her owner, who had been

trapped underneath a fallen cabinet.

He managed to free himself and was eventually evacuated from the area by helicopter.

He was forced to leave Mari and her pups behind, but when he returned two weeks later he found

that they were all alive.

Mari's story was made into a Japanese movie called "A Tale of Mari and Her Three Puppies."
