Filmmaker Bobby Razak on the 'hardcore journey' that led to 'Mask' documentary - Duration: 7:39.
Filmmaker Bobby Razak on the 'hardcore journey' that led to 'Mask' documentary
Bobby Razak has earned his stripes over the years as mixed martial arts' premiere documentarian.
But nowhere did he earn it more than the most difficult film he ever made, "Mask," the tribute to his friend Charles "Mask" Lewis which was recently released on multiple platforms.
That's because the Los Angeles resident was close friends with the late Tapout co-founder, making every bit of work on the well-received film a tough task.
"It was brutal," Razak said on a recent edition of The MMA Hour.
"Every time you go into edit bay, every time you to shoot, every time you work on it, it was like a knife was going through your heart.
It's one of the most extreme filming/edit/documentary sessions I've ever been in in my life.
It took so long, it was brutal.
It's so brutal, I feel like I need emotional distance from Charles now.
I kind of need emotional distance.
The film has come out and I feel I need to have a little bit of separation.
That is how much of a hardcore journey it was for me.".
Part of this was due to the extraordinarily difficult decisions Razak had to make about what material was suitable for inclusion in a film about Lewis, who died in a horrific 2009 automobile accident in Newport Beach, Calif.
, when his Ferrari was struck by a Porsche which was being operated by a drunk driver.
Should the film simply be a glossed-over tribute to a friend? Or should it be a warts-and-all look at Lewis' life?.
Razak opted for the latter, believing the more authentic route was the best option.
"He was incredibly personal with deep and emotional issues in his life — sexual abuse and peeing the bed throughout high school," Razak said.
"All this stuff he had never told anyone, he was concerned about his image a lot of the time and what he was trying to portray.
He was a very big fan of KISS, and so costumes and what he'd wear was all really a mask to really cover what was going on with him.
"So he wouldn't really have wanted that stuff, so I really reconciled myself, do I really want to make a fan movie about someone who is great? Or do I really go deep into the guy and really talk about who he was and what he had to overcome?.
I wanted to show that regardless of where you came from, you can overcome anything.".
This also helps explain why it took so long for the project to come together.
Razak set out to make the documentary in 2011, but only finished it a few months ago.
As time passed, the film evolved into the end result.
"I feel like Charles wouldn't want this to happen, Charles wouldn't want this to come out," Razak said.
"Maybe that's why it took so long, I needed that 2011-18 to maybe become comfortable, because I remember the earlier cut, 'Charles is great, Charles is great,' but as more time, you know, from his death part, I become more, 'Okay, let me explore this subject as a documentary filmmaker, let me step out of the box.' As I was mourning the first couple years.
The film was more of a mourning film, and then as time passed, I had reconciled to myself just I have to be true to myself as a filmmaker, I have to be honest and I have to show the fans and show people what he's really about.".
The mixed martial arts world in 2017 is considerably different than what the sport looked like at the time of Lewis' passing.
In hindsight, 2009, which featured the massive UFC 100, was the period of transition between the sport's up-and-coming days — the era in which Tapout spoke to the MMA audience and connected with them as big corporate sponsors still shunned the sport —- and the current era of network television, big-name sponsors, and an upcoming ESPN deal.
Razak believes Lewis would be in awe of what the sport has become.
"It would have blown his mind," Razak said.
"I think about that all the time.
Especially when sometimes there's a FOX Fight Night on Saturday or Sunday morning or Wednesday.
I mean, this was not around when he was alive.
I mean, we had Conor McGregor vs.
Floyd Mayweather.
You had Ronda Rousey — women's MMA wasn't around in that way.
So much of this sport has moved forward.
It would have blown his mind, I believe.".
The UFC's Reebok deal, in which Reebok is the exclusive apparel company, is a different story.
On one hand, Razak believes Lewis would be appalled by this era in which every fighter looks the same.
On the other, Razak believes the same entrepreneurial spirit which built Tapout from a company that sold t-shirts out of car trunks into a multi-million dollar brand would have also pushed to make Tapout the UFC's official supplier instead of Reebok.
"Charles was about the free market and free enterprise," Razak said.
"He did not hate the competition.
He understood that you needed competition in order to crush the competition.
You needed someone to crush.
If Charles was alive, he would have made sure if there was going to be one clothing company, it would have been Tapout.

BEST Cheap Graphite Pencil Under $5 DIXON TICONDEROGA (worlds best pencil) Review & Tips by J.Sheetz - Duration: 2:57.
Just getting into drawing and you can't afford expensive supplies
expense of graphite pencils and
You don't know where to look because all the ones you see around you or generic and they're cheap
You don't think they're gonna work very well
Well have some pencils here that have been using for a very long time
I've used them for 15 years or more and
I never thought they'd do very well
but they always worked really good for me in school and they even use them for drawing as well and
Those would be the Ticonderoga pencils
They come in various different
pencil hardness and
here I have the one B the two HB and
The three I'll leave a link in the description of this video so you can find them online
they're pretty cheap and they work really good for their price range a
Lot of the other ones that you get that are good pencils
Will cost upwards of twenty to forty dollars for only a dozen pencils or so
Although these are cheap pencils. I was surprised by how well they work
Comparable to Derwent and other brands of pencils that are very expensive compared to this
But if you're just getting started out and you want a pencil, it'll work well for you. I
Try these these pencils work surprisingly well for their price range
They do great shading
They blend really well
You can make detailed lines
And one thing I love most of all about these pencils is I don't want to worry about what I'm sharpening them
the fear of them breaking or
worrying about the fact that
The price of them is so cheap
That even if one does break, I'm not too worried about it because I can just buy more of them online
But I've never even had a problem with these breaking the lead stays sharp really well
The LED never breaks on me shade really well
and even done some hyper-realistic drawings with these
When I told people what type of pencil I was using
They didn't really believe me. They thought that that there's no way you can draw something like that with cheap pencils
But it's more about your skill
It's more about the work you put into it. That's kind of matter than the supplies that you're using
As long as you're practicing a lot
Putting a lot of effort into it that's going to matter a lot more than our supplies you're using
So just get out there and
Try some pencils it doesn't really matter too much about what kind of getting it doesn't matter if they're expensive or cheap
maybe in the long run
But if you're just getting started out and you're wanting a good pencil I recommend these
They'll do you well

Do I Include My Wife In My Finances? - Duration: 6:44.
Welcome back to Limitless TV. Should I include my wife in my finances. Hey
friends, Stephen Michael Miller here and you know, this is a question that
I've actually heard so many times, in so many different places which is, "Should I
include my wife in my finances?" Now, typically, you hear a whole lot of
information on wealth and real estate and things like that, even mindset. But
we're going to dive into some relationship counseling here. I guess this is
what this is all about. So, let me jump in here. Should you include your wife in
your financing or if this is coming from from a woman here, should I include my
husband in my finances and let me just start off by giving my opinion. The
answer is absolutely, "Yes". And my belief around... This is really a conversation
about relationships probably even more than it is about your finances. Although,
I will say this, your finances will improve. Your finances will actually get
to a much better space if you are including your significant other, if
you're on the same page about your finances. So, I guess maybe the
deeper question is that, "Should I include my spouse..." or it's probably more of, "How
can my spouse and I get on the same page when it comes to our finances?" And that's
just all about communication. So, this video is probably about to take a whole
different turn than maybe what you expected. But listen up, because this is
going to help you in all of your relationships whether those are once you
have right now or maybe these are future relationships for you. Including your
significant other and your finances is one of the, in my opinion one of the
greatest things that you can do. And it's all about learning how to communicate
with each other more openly, drawing on the strengths of each other. You see, I know
in my relationship, my wife is extremely really, really good at the details. She's
very detail-oriented, her mind thinks that way. I, on the other hand, I'm a big
dreamer, I'm action oriented. She's very into the planning aspect of it, I'm very
into the implementation of it. Now, if you were to separate us, in terms of our
finances and only choose one method or the other, with my wife, she would plan
a lot, a lot of detail would go into the planning of it. But not everything would
get done necessarily. I mean, I'm not here to say that she doesn't work. My
wife works a lot harder than I do. But she loves the planning part of it. So, she
spends the majority of her time planning and scheming and thinking about how to,
you know, turning it around and looking at all the different angles of
it. And that often times, she could spend more time doing that than the
implementation of it. On the other hand, I get into it , I get after it, I act
first oftentimes before I plan, before I think. And that can also be detrimental
by itself. But you take both of our gifts. You take my wife's ability to plan and
and being detail-oriented and my ability to just jump in and act and get
things done. And when you put those things together, all of a sudden you find
a better system. If we're communicating appropriately, that can cause and lead us
to greater wealth, to greater financial freedom, to greater handle and hold over
our finances. And that's not going to come separately. That only comes as we
share with each other, as we open up and as we're working together towards a
common goal. Two minds, if they're working together and they're synced together
will create synergy, right? Synergy is important when you're talking about
your finances and you're looking at discovering solutions to problems or
you're looking at achievement or achieving goals that you've set. And if
you can look at your spouse in that way and if you can work with your spouse in
that way, then working with them, including them in the finances will
actually improve your outcome. It'll improve your possibilities. It'll get you
both synergizing and working together and create more and more solutions than
you would have ever found on your own. Another thing that it does, is, it holds
you accountable. If you include your spouse in your finances, then you can't
get out and, you know, just go out and spend frivolously, necessarily, although I
know some of us really want to do that at times, right? If you got your spouse
included and you're open and agreed to talking to them about your various
purchases that are going to be made then, it'll do a few things. Number 1, it'll
put a little bit of a stop in place. it'll allow you to really consider,
"Is this purchase that I need to make right now
or is this the best allocation of my funds right now?" I've talked about this
before but this is a really important thing. And when you're talking about
working with the spouse or including the spouse in your finances, having that
accountability partner, it can be just an amazing boost for you to be able to
actually accomplish and achieve your goals. I mean, if you look at, for example,
the fitness world. If you're looking to lose weight or you want to bulk up and
gain more muscle, you want to get healthier ,oftentimes, having an
accountability partner, having a coach there that can spur you on, that
can keep you going and that can motivate you and excite you. And can make all the
difference between you achieving your goal. Or, you falling off the wagon and
going back and eating all that chocolate that you have put aside, right? Having
that accountability partner is super critical.
Likewise in your finances, having an accountability partner to hold your feet
to the fire, to remind you of the goals that you've created. To say, "hey, is this
really where we want to put our money right now or would it be better put in
in this location or in this investment?" Having that person that's on the same
page helping you accomplish your goals will always benefit you more than just
trying to do it on yourself. We are, as people, we are, you know, we have
weaknesses, right? Sometimes we get in to situations we allow ourselves things
that aren't in alignment with our goals and what we actually want to accomplish.
Sometimes we will do what's called self-sabotage. But if you have another
person there especially someone that you love, respect and trust, if you have your
spouse there helping you out and saying, "Hey, this is where our goals were, how can
we help each other accomplish this more?" It'll keep you in line to what you
really want to accomplish. So, again, the question was, "Should I involve my
spouse in the finances?" And my answer to you is yes if you're willing to openly
communicate to share everything to listen and then to move forward together
then I would say, absolutely, involve your spouse in the finances. Okay, not only are
we helping you with mindset and with wealth. But I just saved you a whole
lot of time and effort and going to the relationship counselor, right? Follow some
of the things that we just talked about. If you liked what you heard, then go
ahead and click the like button. If you've got some more questions about how
you and work with your spouse, then please,

Delicious Crab Cakes recipe with Mangrove Jack Fishing Catch and Cook EP.411 - Duration: 20:44.
Andy's fishing
Hi, everyone it's Andy here. I'm out in the boat and today I'm not
just catching and cooking I'm gonna be catching while I'm cooking well that's
the plan anyway I've got my crab here this is this is leftover from the other
day when Andrew and I caught some mud crabs so what I want to cook is, crab cakes I've
been meaning to do these for a long time, they sound really delicious. I've never
done them before but yeah crab cakes with a nice salad. So first I'm going to
cook the crab you see it pumping away there then I've got to cool it down then
I've got to do the rest of it but we'll go another fish while that's happening
I'm gonna go fish the shore here for some mangrove Jack, barramundi, Cod. I
don't know see what happened
catching whilst cooking there we go mission accomplished well half the
mission accomplished that is Estuary Cod and I quite enjoy
casting with both hands sometimes you'll see me casting with my left and
sometimes just see me casting with my right oh yes saw him coming up
that's another Cod I think look at that two fish and three curse
what have we got this time, black spot cod, I think two species in three casts
another quite small fish he's gonna get me unclean very badly he'll there right
there we go beautiful Oh still looking for my mango jack here's a neat little
trick to get blew her off the rock just playing the rod like this twang it yep
there you go so the reason that works is because the line has tension in it and
it shocks the lure actually backwards and usually it's just a little rock or a
noice to the here a second ago let's see if he's still around Valley
clean fish what have we got Oh a little baby trevally that wasn't the one I saw
oh actually now it's a queen fish baby queen fish that's were was huge and oh
and I get this little guy so if you catch one of these guys don't put your
fingers here they spines and those spines are really nasty and they've got
a bacteria and which stings for about an hour so we'll just let this guy go off
you get that was pretty cool on fishing really close to the bank here and a big
splash out behind me and I didn't get the big fish but I got a fish so that
was fun if we knew this caught the big fish
quite often swim behind you part of the deal
I was just gonna say I can see this stick in the water but it looks like
there's a school of fish just to the left of this stick and then I was all
Barracuda it's nonstop here
get rid of him let me go marry cooter he's been he's been attacked by
something yeah look at that almost bitten in half
hey everything out here is food for something else and I think that's what I
saw I saw a school of Barracuda there I don't really want them back who or what
I want to do is go by to stick there go beside the stick and then down by this
rock that looks like a good rock oh yes I can see the bait whore big bait out
that wide what's some nice tingle on cast and really quite a fast retrieving
well it sounds like the timer I'm gonna get the mud crab out of the pot yeah oh that
was a hit okay straight and fast it is that was a
mackerel I think
Oh golly I think we might have the bait we have the bait well we have a greener
I'm gonna go with Grinner on this one
have a guess why they call them Grinner's that's where he got the first
hook that actually came out and then the hook hooked him in the stomach but here
excellent bait these guys will eat anything that's the same size or smaller
than them okay off you go buddy see ya but I think
we've gotta go saw that crab out all right let's turn it off and see oh yeah
yeah mr. Crab is done and you don't need a lot of water in here because you're
just steaming them I've only got like centimeters centimeter and a half of
water in there okay quite hot oh there we go look at that beautiful crab so
what I'm gonna do now is I'm gonna put him in the S key I've got a bit of ice
in there we're cooling down and then we'll process him and then we'll make
our delicious crab cakes looking forward to that
oh that's an awesome anger oh cool he hit me as soon as that little touch the
water he's undersized but I'm not hearing guys I'm just gonna say I'm not
here to take fish home today I just want to catch a few whilst now now that my
crabs cooling down whilst my crabs cooling down that's cool target species
God and now so many other species so far two types of Cod trevally queen fish
Barracuda actually pike there was the other one greener and now no Mangrove
Jack that's some that's huge that's lots of fun what's a different species I'm
guessing he's hanging out with the babies oh that is a good fish there was
actually I think two more in there just saw the bait flicking around in the
rocks and these guys are never far away
he's not bad look at the colors on that guy he is he's just legal but I'm not
taking so these guys always use lip grippers you'll notice I've actually
lost my orange ones they're on a cod river somewhere if you find them and you
welcome to have them you're the big eyes on them they're just an amazing fish so
I'm just gonna let this guy go I'm gonna hold him in the water for a little while
cuz did take me a little while to get the hook out but I think he'll be pretty
right hey little fella yep he's good I like to see if he's from oi
this was any stomach Mangrove Jack's eat crabs there you go that's interesting
fact for you didn't think that I know Cod do but I didn't think mangrove Jack did
anyway let's see if we can get those other two they just over that same spot
a little bit further cast but I'll just get it in the zone yeah yeah that's the
spot right there I really like it when when fan semi
lures it always gives me a nice little surprise he just came up from down deep
I think that's another that's another Estuary Cod he can tell Estuary cod by the
orange dots on them and John that lure's done a great job thank you odd little
fellow but he pulled hard hey guy there we go mystery cars he's no more than 27
centimeters maybe 28 hey everyone the good news is the mud crab is nice and
cool but there's a reason why my drone is sitting there I just crashed it in
the salt water anyway we'll get the meat out of the crab yeah I'm not really
happy about that but such a nice day and oh why did this have to have to happen
it was pilot error so anyway I'll show you the crash later on and start
dismantling this crabs before I cooked it I took the gills and the stomach
contents out so it's all nice and clean and and good tasting I won't bore you
with the whole thing I'll give you the basics though so I like to break it in
half then crush this a little bit just give it a squish then pull out each
leg section nipper pull them out all separately
hey guys there's a little bit of meat in this still don't don't just throw that
away this there's actually good meat in there so this is how you get the meat
out of the nippers okay and that's not a super full crab but it's not bad it's
not bad at all and then we'll start making our crab
cakes so we've got our crab meat all sorted out and has about 300 grams there
maybe 250 and we're gonna need a bowl a nice big bowl we can work with that so
I'm gonna chop some shallots or spring onions yes one egg I'm doing this from
memory I just had a quick read before I um went out in the boat so we get a nice
big juicy chili now I don't want it too hot so I'm gonna take out the seed chop
this stuff really fine like really like small slivers then we grab a lemon just
cut him in half he's got seeds so I have to use our
fingers to separate the seeds
so we're doing all these ingredients first and we add some quality mayonnaise
three tablespoons that's ringing there we can already and we'll just just give
that a nice mix around mix it around before you put the crab in you want to
get all those flavors to meld together
green red white sure that's a flag of somewhere all right there we go all nice
and combined then we put the crab in and you'll
notice there's big chunks of crab that's from a leg we don't want to pull it
apart we want to leave that whole there's a bit of claw you can still see
the nodules from his claw so we dump all that in there get the juices well all
right now we give that a little mix we don't want to go overboard with that we
just want to integrate the meat with the sauce then other recipes have called for
breadcrumbs but I'm gonna use panko crumb which I just found out those I
don't know what I was reading but panko is the bread without the crust so for
those people who don't like crusts this stuff is perfect for you so we won't put
too much in to start with all we want to do is just get it so it starts to bind
and we can make little patties out of it so it's a bit of a bummer about my drone
definitely stick around and see what the footage is at the end we'll just have to
see and hopefully I don't have to find your drone that would be very expensive
day for me so we'll just give that a little taste mm-hmm good good we'll just
add a little tiny bit of salt all the recipes I've seen ask for a little bit
of pepper but to be honest I'd rather taste the crab there you go
okay put our nice non-stick pan and we're gonna use butter to cook this crab
butter is very nice just down here it gives extra flavor to things now I'm
just gonna use my fingers no hands make little little crab cakes
one might be a little bit small but we'll start with that
mmm that's smelling pretty good already oh yes and I like how there's just a
most of this is crab it's not like lots of bread or fillings or anything like
that a crab cake it's mostly crowd in my opinion is it the right thing mmm and
you can lick your fingers because the crab cooked all the other stuff a nice
raw ingredients all right let's see we can lift that up it's holding together
yeah a little bit on the dark side that one the dark side I'll do started
drinking it go that was much better him lower heat i started off a little bit
too hot and you see that one's a bit too brown but this this ones are actually
really nice I shied away from this recipe a little bit because I didn't
want to ruin crab by turning the cakes but now that I've seen what goes into
crab cakes I think I think it's actually a nice way to treat a crab I had had the
white wine and garlic crab the other day which actually I'll put a link in here
as well I've had crab quite a few times but yeah this is the respectful way of
cooking this crab so this time we'll get a plate
very useful cook set by snow-peak I love it couldn't be simpler salad
we've got rocket and spinach baby spinach leaves there we go and there's
some Greek salad dressing like like the flavors in Greek salad dressing just all
over the salad there we go beautiful now these flavors should go really well
together I think that one might be ready let's have a look at him oh yes that
one's definitely ready in there use a fork to to turn these guys I'll lift
them up Oh yep that one is perfect neither these are only taking three
minutes to cook if that not even three minutes all right that one's definitely
really that one oh that one looks amazing look at the color on that that
is a great crab cake and let's see hopefully this one's not so good Brad
yep there we go look at that that looks pretty good I do say so myself Wow look
at that all right look at that two four six seven crab cakes oh I'm
eating well today let's have a little taste
oh that's good and have a look at my my restaurant a my restaurant this is where
I'm cooking I found a little sheltered bit there's wind over there and wind
over that way but right here it's just amazingly calm and beautiful delicious
meal for a king look at that I've even got them all out yet and some number
three to go a lovely meal mr. mud crab here thank you for your life and
delicious crab cakes with some salad crab and salad and I'll just put the
chilies on there as a bit of a garnish but I think it's time to eat this is
gonna be yummy oh the Sun it's just about to go down
the fish are just still jumping ahead with you I'm gonna keep fishing
after this but let's let's get into this I'm really keen to see how this tastes
as a whole so guys these crab cakes are going to be delicious
look at this setting we're in ok yummy these crab cakes are I had a good day
hopefully the drones okay and I'll um like I said I'm going to put that
footage in very shortly there's nothing like Minecraft to be honest
I'm trying to remember it's a little bit like a potato rosti mmm with crab flavor
mmm this is nice so nice if you guys suffered enough I'll show you that
footage now what a nice afternoon Sun just at that crack down below the hill
and not even have a bathroom dinner this is paradise magic paradise we're going
to call it
as a fish all right show you that footage now
thanks for watching guys hopefully my drone survives I won't be
able to tell from today or when I see this footage but we'll tell in a couple
of days time when things of either died alright that's you guys
you
you

Don't sacrifice what you love just to achieve your dreams | Nick Offerman - Duration: 7:10.
Nick Offerman: One of the great secrets to maintaining a discipline in one's life is
that it has an incredible meditative or Zen quality to it.
My character in this film, Frank, is a little bit obsessed with playing music and creating
music.
It comes out in sort of an ugly way in the scene on the porch at Toni Collette's house
where he just simply says—but it's kind of nicely underwritten—he says "I don't
want to sell music."
And what I take from that is, he's saying "I don't want to be the salesman of other
people's albums.
I want to be making my album.
Even if nobody buys it, that's what I should be doing."
And I know that feeling firsthand.
As somebody in the performing arts, when—it's an ugly business, we've all kind of heard
stories about, that are true about how much rejection and how superficial the business
is.
It's very seldom merit based.
So, for example, I've done very well.
I'm very grateful for all the wonderful good fortune I've had.
But me and my wife and all of our friends who have done well, we all have friends that
we think are more talented than we are and it didn't work out the same way for them.
And so one of them is teaching college; Their life took them on different paths.
And so knowing that, people often ask me, how can I get my kid involved in show business?
And the same might be asked of Frank, you know.
How can we make it?
How can our band make it as musicians?
And I always say, I would advise that you take up woodworking, because it's addictive.
It's an addictive craft that is so satisfying, that doesn't require the input of any corporate
entities.
So quite frequently in Los Angeles when I would go to a big audition for like a TV pilot
or something that like really would change my life, it's incredibly stressful.
You're just doing your best for days to keep your cool.
You go do the thing and it's invariably for a room full of bankers.
It's a terrible room.
Usually with me I'm trying to get a laugh and they're all like—they all have their
abacuses out and are like, "Well in Maxim magazine…. he has a mustache….
that's 17 points…."
And you leave, and it's just inscrutable.
You're like, "I have no idea how I did," which gives you a lot of stress and a lot
of agita.
So I would go straight to my shop and just start sanding a walnut table.
And after just an hour of that (and put on some music) and I would see the tangible result
of this work that I had done.
That's the thing is there's no way to describe the sensation.
There's magic in it, whether you're working with glass or metals or food or knitting or
wood.
You're making something better than it was.
It was a pile of stuff, and now it's a lasagna.
And you've done that with your magic powers.
And so that sensibility, that Zen I find so incredibly healthy.
Again, as a human being with foibles, when left to my own devices I will happily, especially
when I was younger.
I'd be like "Oh, I suddenly have the day off unexpectedly.
Let's go get drunk and go to the movies."
And that's fun once in a while.
I don't disparage it, but it should be a special occasion.
When you get to doing it with any regularity, that's when it becomes unhealthy.
And so anything in this realm I have found it to be lifesaving.
And the thing is it's antithetical to what we're talking about business.
And especially about show business.
Show business, you're supposed to hustle all the time.
You're supposed to beat people's doors down and be flashy and selling yourself.
And I was never able to do that stuff.
If people weren't going to give me jobs based on the merit of the work I was doing
I wasn't interested in selling myself beyond that.
And so—I didn't do this because I was wise.
I did this, I tricked myself into this by listening to the right teachers, by going
away and working in my woodshop.
That gave me a mellow demeanor to the point that I no longer cared as much about the TV
shows.
Also related to this movie, I mean this is the theme for me of this movie, is if you
are having dilemmas in your life, if you're experiencing loss or there's any kind of
trauma or tragedy, it's something we all have to deal with at some point.
As long as you focus on the love relationships in your life and the health of them – and
that health could mean screaming at each other and saying "I'm sick of how you leave
the toothpaste cap off!" or whatever it is.
That is healthy.
You're working it out so you can live together and love one another, whether it's your
mom or your daughter or your spouse or your sibling.
If you focus and maintain the health of those relationships everything else is going to
be okay.
You may lose your job.
You may get another job.
That doesn't matter.
Jobs will come and go.
But you want that love relationship to always matter.
And in this movie my character Frank learns that if he makes the right decision and focuses
on his love relationship his dream will always be there.
His dream is playing music.
He makes the right decision as a parent.
Everything works out in a satisfactory way.
He doesn't become a rock star, but his dream continues.
And in my life by chilling myself out in my woodshop, amazingly when I got my big break
they said "Oh!
We love your woodshop.
We're going to make him a woodworker."
And somehow my woodworking, my antidote to show business became part of my persona.
And now I have a campaign doing commercials for a glue company.
So if you want to get on stage, learn how to use a chisel.

Another Huge Sewing Supply Haul | Whitney Sews - Duration: 15:30.
hi everyone I am back today with another haul video because I'm clearly failing
the Sew Your Stash challenge for this year but seriously though the local store that
I've talked about in a couple videos they're going out of business they are
about to close and they still have so many amazing deals that I just cannot
help but take advantage of so I wanted to share once again what I picked up at
the local fabric store that is going out of business and by the way it is a fine
fabric store is what they were called so they sold like higher-end garment
sewing supplies and things like that as well as like the notions and things that
I've already shown in some videos so let's jump into what I picked up this
time so first up I thought I would go over the sewing patterns that I picked
up this time they had these sewing patterns they were the Butterick and
McCall were a dollar nineteen unless you bought ten or more and then they went
down to 89 cents each and the Vogue patterns were 249 each unless you bought
10 or more and then they went down to a dollar 89 so I bought more than 10 of
each kind so first up is this McCall's pattern
I don't normally gravitate toward this kind of item but some of these items
look kind of like something Princess Leia wore in the original three Star
Wars movies I forget which one and we're in to Star Wars so I thought this one
could be useful if I wanted to do that particular Princess Leia costume the
next one I got is this Butterick patterns by gertie swimsuit pattern is a
really cute vintage inspired a swimsuit that I just thought was really cute I
have thought about trying to make vintage swimsuits before and never had a
pattern that I really liked and I like this one so I might give it a try
sometime I also picked up this Butterick pattern it is a retro reprint from the
50s it's just really cute I love the angular pockets here I've been watching
the show wartime farm it was on bbc2 I'm not sure when it originally aired but
I've been watching that a lot so I really have liked the 40s and 50s on the
brain well the 30s 40s 50s all that so that's
why I gravitated towards so many vintage reprints this time and this next one I
bought two copies of because I bought the kids size and the adult size I just
thought this is a really cute one that I've seen several times
it's from 1958 originally and this is obviously the reprint from McCalls I also
picked up this next one and two different sizes and then realized I
thought I had it comes in kids teens and adults and I thought I had the teen one
at home which does me no good because they don't have a teenager but I
actually had the adult one at home but I'm not sure that all the pieces are
there because it was secondhand but I got the kids and adults of this poodle
skirt pattern because I do have a poodle skirt inspired project that I'm wanting
to do I'm not sure that this will be the pattern that I use because it's gathered
at the top and I really want like a smooth fit at the top with a zipper
instead of gathers so I don't know it's always good to have a basic long circle
skirt pattern anyway so grab those this next one is a reprint from a 1955 outfit
I really like the unique way the hips are done and I just think it's an
interesting look I like her little hat that's not in the patterns but she just
looked so cute in her little hat so I thought this one was a nice really cute
pattern this one is a 1933 reprint I did not think it was that interesting until
I looked at the back the design for view a has this really neat asymmetrical yoke
on the waist and I think that was just so cool-looking and unfortunately they
matched their patterns so smoothly on this skirt that you can't even see that
on the envelope cover so I think they're really
losing out by the fabric choices that they used on this one had they chosen a
different fabric I think this pattern would be so much
more stunning from the front of the pattern envelope this next one was kind
of a random pick it's this tote bag pattern I've never bought a tote bag
pattern before but I just thought this could be some fun inspiration and I just
thought it would check it out and see if I like it or not I don't know it helped
me get to the lower price point by buying some extra patterns this next one
is also one that I don't need but I just thought it was really interesting I have
seen some jackets like this after I had both of my kids and I really would have
liked to had these when I was pregnant with Peyton and when Peyton was little
it's a jacket that you can wear normal you can add in a panel for when you're
pregnant and then you take that panel out and flip it upside down and you use
that for when you are wearing your baby and it's cold out so I just thought that
was so so interesting so I bought the pattern just to kind of look it over and
see how it's all put together just because it really interested me and I
just really wish I would have had this when my kids were younger the last of
the McCall's and Butterick is this pattern from 1933 and it just has a really cool
design feature as well with the interesting waistline and everything I
just thought it was really really well done
so I grabbed it and super cute okay so the rest of these patterns I
have are vogue patterns start with the larger ones they have these really huge
envelopes and this is a pattern that I also bought in two different sizes and
the reason for that is because this one is size 12 14 16 and this one is 18 20
22 and I fit a variety of sizes according to my bust waist and hip so
since the sizes that I am are on both of these
I decided to get both of them just to be safe and that way if I do need to kind
of like Frankenstein the patterns together to use like the smaller bust
and waist and the larger for the hip area I'll be able to do that and have
both patterns that I need just in case and for the low low price that I was
paying like it was worth it to just get the two instead of later on if I decide
to make it than being upset that I don't have the right size for everything the
other larger envelope one I got oh and this was a 1952 reprint so the other
large envelope I got was in 1956 reprint and it's just a nice classy dress
just a pretty just a pretty dress from the 50s I grabbed this one that I
thought was just beautiful I love the way the pockets are done this is from
1949 and the reason I notice the pockets so much is on the show wartime form that
I was watching I just watched the episode where they were talking about
like fabric rationing and that they were limiting the amount of pockets you could
have on clothing and how many buttons and things like to make sure that people
were really only using as much as needed to be used and so when I noticed the
four pockets on here that just stuck out of my mind that this is obviously not
war time they had extra pockets that were not necessary so I just thought
that was a really cute outfit I had to get it and then this one is just a
really nice 1940s vintage reprint again wartime era I'm really had that on my
brain a lot lately cuz I've been watching that show so this is just a
really basic dress but it's the print that makes it so visually interesting
and as you can see it's just a simple simple dress and I just really like that
then I got this one it has just the interesting detail at the shoulder I
thought it was really nice a reprint from 1951 it's just really
cute one I hear Skyler she must've just woken up
and then this is the last vintage reprint that I got from 1951 it has this
really neat gathers with the crust over detail they're just really nice I also
got three modern patterns it's so weird I don't buy too
many modern patterns that aren't either like vintage reprints for costumes so
I bought just in basic shorts pattern I just thought this would be really nice
to have you can always use a good pair of shorts right and sometimes you
need pair of shorts to go under something or whatever I just thought
this might be a good one to have in my stash because all my other shorts
patterns are not the right size they I bought them before I had gained some
weight and so they just aren't right so if I do need to make a pair of shorts
now I have a pattern that will work I also grabbed this one this one kind of
inspired me for another Star Wars costume that is like a non-traditional
costume I've seen some people do like classed up versions of Star Wars
costumes where like it's not really a costume like it's everyday wear but it's
inspired by a character and this one kind of inspired me by Rey so how it
ties around her the sash and everything just kind of made me think of Rey from
Star Wars so I wanted to see if I could maybe come up with a way to use this in
a fun outfit that is just a nod to Star Wars but not really a costume and the
same with this one I think this is a tremendously ugly pattern to be quite
honest I think the shape of the skirt is horrible but when I looked at it I had
Star Wars on the brain and I thought hmm maybe I could make that into a BB8
skirt so the pattern itself is like a it's
stretchy fabric so it's a pull-on waste and then it has like this section in the
kind of a curved section and a bottom section so I thought maybe I could use
bb8 colors and make kind of like a high-fashion bb-8 inspired skirt I don't
know I needed to find enough patterns to make them cheaper then on here some
other things that I grabbed the the carded buttons were still six for a
dollar so I got three more cards for $0.50 I just I don't know just thought
these were cute grabbed him then I got
orange tulle I don't like orange I don't like tulle but I have a project
that I need orange tulle for um so I got I told him I wanted 10 yards that
there's about 12 or 13 yards and she sold it to me for the 10 yard price
which on sale was 75% off so I got ten yards well really 12 or 13 for $2.50 and
it is 52 inches wide so that is an awesome deal I also got some white tulle
I got five yards of this and it is 72 inches wide so I got it for like 75
cents a yard I think so not too bad so my reason for her going back to the
store was to buy two fabrics and they are to go with this fabric that I showed
in a previous home I picked up this off why it's just like slightly off-white
I would have preferred white but they were out and this is for the lining of
the bodice of the Rose dress and then I picked up this green that I don't 100%
love but you know I picked up this to go with the dress
as well hopefully it will look good so that is why I went to the store all this
other stuff is just added bonus and the last thing I picked up is some power
mesh I only had heard of power mesh pretty recently and at the store I saw
it and I could not remember where I had heard about it because someone was
talking about it recently and I thought I need to get some of that and try it
out and while I was at the store I couldn't remember what project it was
that I wanted it for but I did go ahead and get a yard of it and I was talking
to the ladies at the store and there's a lot of good uses for it like they
recommend it if I did make the swimsuit I could use the power mesh in that as a
lining like there's just a lot of uses for it so I got a yard of it and I will
see what I end up using it for I'm not really for sure yet on anything but it
was half off so I had to get it so that is my most recent haul from the local
store that is going out of business they closed their doors officially this
Saturday but the owner did mention to me that if he has anything left
he might unlock the door the following Monday so there's a chance I still might
go back one more time so we will see I did get a lot of really good stuff which
I'm really excited about it's very sad that the store is closing they have a
super long history in the city but I'm also really happy that I could get some
really good deals because previously when they were full price there was no
way I could afford most of the stuff in there so now that they've lower the
prices is when I can actually afford some of the stuff and start taking
advantage of the really good quality items that they have and that has been
really cool so anyway I hope you enjoyed this haul and if you want to see the
other hauls I've mentioned for this same store they'll be linked right
over here to the side make sure you subscribe because I have a ton of videos
that are coming up soon and I will see you all again next time happy sewing

don't get shiny object syndrome I've had a lot of people think about going to
Amazon FBA after signing up drop shipping and after a week there's nnews
results so they move up to Amazon FBA they felt with Amazon FBA they go into
affiliate marketing it's just a vicious cycle and I think it's really important
to you know stick in there Duke it out because no business is easy no business
venture is easy there is no such thing as making money really easily I mean
this I mean there's simple ways to make money and if you're smart about it you
can make money quite quickly as can anyone in this world money is very
abundant in this world however talent and hard work is not that abundant in
this wallet surprisingly just keep hustling guys it's very important to

with all my students and businesses in a full-time job at the same time for the
people that new to this channel that I've been following on this series be
sure to subscribe because there's so much more free content coming out I love
to produce free content push it out there for the beginners for

My Pastel Pink To Lilac Hair Color Transformation | Beauty With Mi | Refinery29 - Duration: 6:23.
Saw what?
My nose pick?
Just making sure!
Hey guys, it's Mi-Anne, and this is Beauty With Mi.
Today may be the last day that you see me with pink hair.
Before we get started, though, please hit subscribe down below, little red button down there.
Hang out, become part of the family.
So, I love my pink hair; I've had it since January, so it's been a few months now...
and purple has definitely been on my list.
I am transitioning my hair to lilac today.
I've been gathering some celebrity images– examples of things that I would want my
lilac hair to look like.
So, Billie Eilish is on there, Jourdan Dunn's there, Nicole Richie...
I'm going to bring this little portfolio of photos to my hair colorist, Madison, and we're
going to mix the perfect color for me...
And you guys are going to see the entire process.
Stay tuned.
The next time you see me, I will have purple hair.
I'm back!
And as you can see, I've gone purple.
When I got my hair dyed pink, I asked you guys what color I should do, and an overwhelming
number of you said, "lilac," "lavender," "purple," like, a lot.
So, I went over to the salon, and before we could even start mixing the color, we had
to deal with all of my new growth.
So I'm here with Madison, here at Spoke & Weal.
We have been hanging out for the past six months doing my touchups, so...
We've been talking about going lilac for a really long time, right?
Since almost the beginning, so...
Since, like, January.
Alright, so, before we kind of sit down and look at inspiration pictures, uh, we need
to get your roots touched up.
So, let's get started!
I've been getting my hair touched up every four to six weeks.
This time I pushed it; I was very close to the seven week mark, but we still made it work.
Madison bleached my roots with the help of her lovely assistant, Cat, and we sat tight
there while it was doing its magic.
So, right after she bleached my hair, Madison brought me over to the shampoo bowl.
She rinsed out all the bleach, which felt amazing.
And moved on to DDL.
So, DDL is a chemical – it stands for Direct Dye Lifter, and what it does, essentially,
is strip out all of the pink pigment in my hair so that it could make room for all the
purple pigment that's going to go into my hair.
Once that was rinsed out, Madison glossed my hair twice just to get it to a more neutral
color palette before going in with the first base color, which was the purple, kind of
gray-ish color, that laid down the base for my color.
Then came the fun part!
The mixing.
I wanted a kind of cooler purple tone for my hair.
So, I brought in a couple of photos.
I wanted something that fell in between the Billy Eilish color, the Jourdan Dunn color,
and the Nicole Richie color.
We mixed it all up together, and...
Voilá!
I had my color.
So, after putting in my base color and washing it out, she rough-dried my hair just to get
it a little bit on the drier side before Cat and Madison painted the mixture we created
all over my hair.
I was wondering if you have any tips in terms of working with your colorist on transitioning
your hair on a, you know, semi-regular basis.
When you're transitioning from one color to the next, you want to start with kind of the
same color palette.
So, you wanna do something that's in the pinks and the purples
before you move on to the greens and the blues.
When you do something as strong as a blue or green, they have more longevity and they
stay in the hair a little bit longer, so that means when they fade, like these blues will
fade to more of seafoam greens...
What's the color that you've noticed fades the fastest?
Anything that's going to be a pastel.
Pinks and purples, any of those pastels, they're gonna fade, super quick.
Sat there for about 20 to 30 minutes while it was, like, infusing into my hair.
Headed over to the shampoo bowl, washed it all out, and...
I had purple hair.
That was pretty much the entire process.
It took like, five hours.
If you have creative hair color like this, you come to terms with the fact that it's
going to take a long time – it's going to take a lot of time out of your life.
Alright, are you ready?
Yes!
Okay...
I love it!
Ugh!
The first color change in the books.
I've had my hair bleached for a little over six months now, and even though I do think
my hair is in a relatively healthy place, it's of course, drier than it was when I had
not dyed it.
And I wanted to ask Madison what are some extra things I can be doing to make sure that
my hair is really healthy.
Because I'm already doing everything that you said to do, like not putting it up in
a ponytail, um, masking my hair, um, avoiding washing it too much...
But I still feel like I'm scared that I'll get to a place where I'm going to not be able
to color it anymore.
We're never gonna let your hair get to that place.
Uh, you can have platinum hair and it be seemingly healthy and long.
Things that you can do at home...
A silk pillow is really great.
Nothing that's like a tough texture.
It doesn't tug on it, so it's not going to add into any type of breakage.
You don't want to use any type of heavy, dense type of brush.
So, like, a wet brush or a comb is really great.
When you blow dry your hair at home, make sure you rough dry.
You want to get, like, 75-80% of the moisture out because if you put soaking wet hair in
a brush and then heat right on it, it's too much heat hitting one area for too long, so
you want to get most of the moisture out and then go in with your styling brush.
When you use any type of heat styling, whether it's a curling iron, flat iron, you don't
need to be on the highest heat – your hair's already dry.
So, use like, the lowest setting, and you should be fine...
Really?
So, what, what about like, numbers-wise should I set my iron to...?
I think it's around, like, 280.
280!?
If you have a number.
Okay, I'm doing like, 400 right now.
You don't really need – no, you don't need 400.
Ah!
What about, like, product?
We kind of discussed this a little bit earlier...
You want to stay away from masking every single time.
Which is what I have been doing.
Yes.
You don't need to add that much protein into your hair.
Your hair will only hold onto so much, so if you over-protein, it's kind of like, uncooked
spaghetti, your hair's just going to snap.
Every-other time you kind of want to add a mask.
Every-other wash?
Yeah.
Okay, cool.
Thank you so much!
Alright, it was good seeing you.
So, those are the things that I have to keep doing.
I'm excited to keep up the lilac, at least for a couple months before I get bored of
it and try something new!
So let me know what you guys want me to do next, and I hope you guys enjoyed this video,
and I will see you guys next week.
Bye!
Thank you all so much for watching.
Let me know what you want to see next on Beauty With Mi in the comments down below.

Can I Appeal If I'm Denied A Disability Pension In New Jersey? – NJ Disability Attorney Sam Gaylord - Duration: 2:34.
You applied for a disability pension in New Jersey, and you were denied.
Do you want to know if you can appeal that decision?
Join me, and I'll provide you that valuable information.
Hi, I'm Sam Gaylord, disability litigator in the State of New Jersey, managing partner,
the law firm Gaylord Popp, representing injured workers in the areas of workers compensation,
social security disability, and disability pension appeals.
You applied for a disability pension, and you were denied.
You want to know if you can appeal?
Absolutely, you can, and you must.
You would've received a letter that indicates that you have 45 days from the date on the
letter in order to file a notice of appeal to combat the decision that the board of pensions
has made.
What happens is, within that time frame, you have to send a letter to the division of pensions
and benefits indicating that you are intending to appeal the decision and that you want the
matter to be transferred to what's called the Office of Administrative Law.
Now, in addition to sending that letter, send it Certified, in addition to sending the letter,
you also want to start contacting your doctors.
As part of the application process, they would've had to have completed documents to say that
you're disabled.
Well, as a result of that, you want to make sure that you're contacting doctors to see
if they're going to support your application for disability pension and potentially would
be available to help you in court.
The other thing that you want to make sure of is that the matter gets transferred from
the division of pensions and benefits to the Office of Administrative Law and gets assigned
a judge.
If you found this information helpful, go to our website.
We have other videos and written materials that you'll probably find helpful.

Bo protokół postępowania wielu lekarzy mówi: jest chory, odrzućmy go.
To dzieciobójstwo.
Aby zapewnić sobie spokojne życie, zabija się niewinnego.
To okrucieństwo.

Nick: and how do you feel about waking up in the morning with birds?
Now it's time to pay. How much would these cost?
We don't know yet. (this is what we ate)
It's 65,000won in total ($65)
So, how was the sushi that I bought?
Say thank you right now!
Thank you, treat me next time too
Nick! say thank you to me
Nick: I said thank you!
Forcing you to hear "thank you"
I thought it would be more than 100,00won but it didn't cost that much
Sia: I also thought it would be more than 80,000won
When you have to treat food to someone, do like me
Make them uncomfortable! (I'm joking :D)

A SMALL TEAM ... I CAN NOT GO TO MEDJUGORJE ... HOW TO DO IT? - Duration: 3:08.
A number of Catholics can not not go to Medjugorje, for reasons
money or health problems ... do not worry, Marie knows perfectly
that you can not go to Medjugorje, she does not blame you and Jesus neither
... for you she has planned another path ... she said that anyone, who
would pray at the same time or the lights of medjugorje have their appearance
will receive as much grace as if they were in the village of Medjugorje just next to
of the seer ... of course to receive these graces you have to have an open heart ... this information
comes directly from the seers ... a faithful of Medjugorje neither believed at all and he
never pray at this moment ... and he discovered, 30 years after this contact
with Mary, feeling her presence ... I'll tell you something ... I did not
never set foot in Medjugorje and that makes already more than 15 years that I am with Mary
... And yet I do works for God
as Mary asks and I received a lot Thanksgiving ... I am the perfect example
who works for Medjugorje in staying at home ....
So do not lose hope, you can very well by staying at home working for
Mary and receive the graces you have need and be happy ... trust and hope
A little tear ...
Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Vista Hermosa in Colombia, In the sanctuary of the Virgin
of Guadalupe, a statue began to cry tears of oil.
With the internet we realize that the phenomenon tears of oil is finally enough
current.
In any case we warms our heart, even if Mary is sad and that tells us
that there is a life after life ... a life in paradise with God ...
