GLORIA: Everybody's got something trying to be a
stronghold in your life or you've had it that way.
Because why? Satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy.
That's just his job. That's what he does.

GLORIA: Billye Brim's back with us today, and she's got some
really good things for us. We're going to be talking about the
weapons of our warfare that are not carnal, or they're not
natural. They're not human, but they're powerful to the pulling
down of strongholds. If you got--everybody's got something
trying to be a stronghold in your life, or you've had it that
way. Because why? Satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy. That's
just his job. That's what he does. And so he puts all the
effort into it he can to kill, steal, and destroy. But what
stops him? BILLYE: Our weapons. GLORIA: The weapons of our
warfare. They're not natural-- BILLYE: They're not natural.
GLORIA: --but supernatural. BILLYE: They're not carnal.
GLORIA: Hallelujah. BILLYE: And the Lord, Gloria, gave me that
title. GLORIA: That's excellent. BILLYE: Just as soon as I knew I
was going to be invited to be on the program again, "The Weapons
of Our Warfare are not Carnal," and start with the back word,
start with "carnal." Explain what "carnal" is. GLORIA: Yeah,
yeah. That's good. BILLYE: And so we're spirit beings. GLORIA:
Now, Billye, you and I and Ken have been--we've been learning
about these weapons for a great number of years, maybe longer
than we want to admit. But-- BILLYE: Don't tell him, don't
tell him. GLORIA: But we know what it does for you. BILLYE:
Oh, my goodness. GLORIA: Ken and I, it changed every--every--and
we went from defeat to victory because we learned the power in
the name, the power in the Word, in doing what the Word says.
BILLYE: Yes. GLORIA: And-- BILLYE: Exactly. Because this is
a warfare tool. GLORIA: --it'll work for anybody-- BILLYE:
There's an enemy out there. GLORIA: --that'll do it. BILLYE:
There's an enemy. GLORIA: Yeah, yeah. BILLYE: And he--he's
called the thief. GLORIA: Yeah. And what does he do? BILLYE:
Steals. GLORIA: Kills. BILLYE: Kills. GLORIA: Destroys. BILLYE:
Destroys. GLORIA: Yeah. BILLYE: And so--but we can stop him.
GLORIA: That's right. BILLYE: We have authority over him. GLORIA:
That's right. BILLYE: And--but we're going to have to do it
with spiritual weapons. GLORIA: That's right. BILLYE: And you're
going to have to--the better--you do it the better if
you grow up spiritually and you know that you--and you--then a
spirit man operates these weapons. Paul wrote to the
church at Corinth, and I have the scripture right here. He
said, "I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto
spiritual, but unto carnal, even as babes in Christ. I fed you
with milk, and not with meat: because you're not able to bear
it, neither are you now able to bear it. You're carnal: I can
tell it because your envying, and strife, and divisions, are
you not carnal, and walk as men?" And as you pointed out in
the Amplified, it says, "mere, unchanged--" GLORIA: Normal. In
other words-- BILLYE: "--men." GLORIA: --if you're walking as
just somebody normal, a mere man that doesn't have any victory,
that just gets beat up all the time, that's a mere man. BILLYE:
That's a mere man. GLORIA: Mm-hmm. BILLYE: And to tell you
the real truth, Gloria, the devil is going to have high
carnival in your life. GLORIA: That's true. BILLYE: Because to
walk--to--to walk in victory, you are--you need to know that
you need to operate in the spirit realm. GLORIA: That's
right. BILLYE: And--and Satan's in the spirit realm. And you
cannot defeat him with carnal weapons. GLORIA: Hmm-mm. BILLYE:
You cannot. And if you're going to be a carnal Christian, you're
going to have a hard time defeating him. GLORIA: Now, the
Bible describes that as "mere man." If you're living like a
normal human, and you don't have--you're not taking any
authority with the name of Jesus, you're not receiving what
belongs to you from the Word of God, you're just out there as a
mere man, which is so much as to say-- BILLYE: You're a target.
GLORIA: --you're out there on your own. BILLYE: You're a
target. GLORIA: You're a target. BILLYE: Now, how can you tell if
you're carnal? Well, Paul said you've got envy-- GLORIA: Yeah.
BILLYE: --you're jealous, you've got strife. You're--are you mad
at half the world? Are you mad at your husband? Are you mad at
the people down at the church? Do you have divisions? In the
Amplified, it says, "envying, jealousy, wrangling, and
factions." Have you got divisions among you? GLORIA:
Does that sound like your house? BILLYE: If that sounds like your
house-- GLORIA: No. Get rid of it. BILLYE: --you're carnal. We
used to have this joke, and it's-- I don't know if you'll
get it or not. But around our house-- GLORIA: Oh, we're pretty
neat. Go ahead, Billye. BILLYE: (Laughs) But around our house,
you know Kent and me and our four kids, and if people were
acting carnally, and their flesh was really numb, we said, "You
must have you been eating carnal corn." (Both Laugh) GLORIA:
Carnal corn. BILLYE: You know caramel corn. Ah, you probably
didn't get it, but anyway... GLORIA: Well, I never heard that
anywhere else. BILLYE: Carnal corn. But what it means is
you've been eating flesh food. GLORIA: Natural. BILLYE: You've
been--you've been feeding on the television-- GLORIA: Yeah, yeah.
BILLYE: --you've been feeding on this and that. GLORIA: That's
right. BILLYE: And you did not--you have not been feeding
on the sincere milk of the Word-- GLORIA: The victory Word.
BILLYE: --that you may grow thereby, because you're born
again, and you need to grow up. GLORIA: That's exactly what has
to happen. BILLYE: When Nicodemus came to Jesus by
night, he said to Nicodemus, "You must be born again." Or
actually in the Greek, it says, "You must be born from above."
You--you've got to have a Spirit birth. Even on this earth--
GLORIA: Yeah. BILLYE: --where we live, and we're walking around
here, we get born from above. GLORIA: Yes, that's right.
BILLYE: It says in Galatians 4:26, "Jerusalem above," which
is free, "is the mother of us all." There is Jerusalem below,
there's Jerusalem above. But we got born from above. The Church
roll is kept in heaven. It--your name might be on the first
such-and-such roll on the earth, but that does not count for
beans with God. GLORIA: That's not "the" roll, is it? BILLYE:
No, that's not "the" roll. The roll is called-- GLORIA: That
might be B roll, but it's not A roll. BILLYE: No. The roll will
be called up yonder. GLORIA: Yeah. And I'll be there. BILLYE:
And so for your name to be on that roll, the Church is born
above. It's membership records are kept above. GLORIA: That's
right. BILLYE: We are citizens of heaven right now. GLORIA:
That's right. BILLYE: Philippians 3:20, "For our
conversation," which is citizenship, "is in heaven--"
not just when you die. Right now. You are a creature from
another planet if you're born again. "--from whence we look
for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: he will change our vile
bodies--" The body's going to get changed. "--that it may be
fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working
whereby he's able to subdue all things unto himself." GLORIA:
Just like our spirit got born again, our body's going to be
changed. BILLYE: Our body's going to be changed. But right
now, we haven't got the redemption of the body yet.
GLORIA: No. BILLYE: Now, our spirit got born from above. And
I like this Colossians 3:1-3. God wants you to know you're a
spirit being. He wants you to know that you're from heaven. He
wants you to know that you are an ambassador here on earth. He
wants you to know that you have different rules to live by. "The
law of the Spirit of life in--" GLORIA: That's right. BILLYE:
"--Christ Jesus has set us free--" GLORIA: Yeah, that's
right. BILLYE: "--from the law of sin and death." So if you
know how to do it --Colossians 3:1-3, "If you then be risen
with Christ, seek those things which are--" where? GLORIA:
Above. BILLYE: "--above, where Christ sits on the right hand of
God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the
earth. For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in
God." GLORIA: The old man died. BILLYE: The old man died. He's
not in there fighting with you. GLORIA: No. BILLYE: Some people
think that. They think there's a battle going on inside you
between the old man and the new man. The old man is dead. There
is a kind of a battle in you, but it's the battle between the
inward man and the outward man. GLORIA: Or you could say the
flesh and the spirit. BILLYE: That's exactly right. The inward
man is the spirit man. The outward man is the flesh man.
Hallelujah. So when we are born again, the weapons of our
warfare are not carnal. So carnal is when your body rules,
when the outward man dominates you. You are to be born again.
You are to feed that inner man on the Word of God and
fellowship with God, and then you will grow spiritually. And
as you grow spiritually, that inner man is to dominate you.
But if the outer man is dominating you-- GLORIA: And it
also--it'll--it will dominate you, but it also--through the
power of that reborn spirit in the name of Jesus, you
dominate-- BILLYE: That's it. GLORIA: --the world around you.
BILLYE: That's it. You are-- GLORIA: Just the same--if Billye
and I are here in the studio, and there's thunder today, if it
was coming a tornado right down our alley here, we could go out
there and dominate it and say, "You're not coming here in the
name of the Lord Jesus Christ." That happened to us one day in
the airplane. And we were heading in an area, and the--
BILLYE: Twister. GLORIA: --tornado started coming down.
BILLYE: Yeah. GLORIA: And we said, "You get back up there in
Jesus' name." And it went, "Fft, fft, fft, fft." BILLYE: Exactly
right. GLORIA: Went back up there. BILLYE: Exactly right.
GLORIA: Now, you could do that with--if you have the name, and
you know you're--you're living for God and not disobedient, you
can--you can control things. You can control-- BILLYE: You're
called to. GLORIA: --not people, but you can control things that
would be a detriment to you like a storm or a--we've seen
things--people, in the midst of an accident, like their cars
turning over, and said, "You get back down there in the name of
Jesus," and it went-- BILLYE: Yes. GLORIA: I mean, so you've
got that power in the name. BILLYE: It's spiritual. GLORIA:
Yeah. BILLYE: That's the weapon of our spiritual warfare--
GLORIA: That's right. BILLYE: --is a spiritual weapon which
you--which you use. You spoke about using it over weather.
Bless the Lord. Thank God if you live in tornado alley. Last
April, we had a meeting at our church in Collinsville,
"Authority of the Believer." The Lord has really got me camping
on authority-- GLORIA: That's so important that-- BILLYE: --right
now-- GLORIA: --that you learn that. BILLYE: --because of the
demonic activity that's going on in this earth. GLORIA: Yeah.
BILLYE: Well, we are to have authority over it, but it's
spiritual authority. And you've got to use your spiritual
weapons. GLORIA: Got to use the name. BILLYE: And in our church,
we had built a new church auditorium, and it would seat a
good amount of people. But we had more people registered than
we had seats for. So we decided to put a tent up outside and put
cameras and put, you know, screens out there. And our own
church people, they sat out there and let our guests come
into our building. Well, we thought we're going to have to
use a tent here in April. In Oklahoma, that's tornado month.
You can check these figures, folks. So we got our church
prayer group there in Collinsville to go on the case.
And they started out a couple months ahead, "We're not having
any storms. That's going to be a great weekend--" GLORIA: That's
smart to do it ahead of time. BILLYE: "--da-da-da-da-da-da." I
heard on the local Tulsa news, and then I--and then others
heard on the national news, it's on record as
the most storm-free April in the history of Oklahoma.
GLORIA: Praise God. BILLYE: Not one tornado. GLORIA:
Praise God. BILLYE: Why? Because we used the
spiritual weapons-- GLORIA: We have authority in the
name. BILLYE: --of our warfare. Now, a natural weapon could
be--let's say man tried to do something. Say he got big fans
and tried to, "whoosh," put them on outside, huge fans blow away
the tornado. That ain't going to work, McGee. GLORIA: No, it's
not going to work. BILLYE: The natural weapons don't work. The
thing in--and, folks, we're going to get to this before the
next--end of the next time. Satan's come out as never
before. He's come out. There are demons on this earth operating.
He's running scared. He sees his time is short. GLORIA: Time is
short. BILLYE: It tells us that. Adam's lease is about up.
So--but you and I, we're to manifest and show in the
heavenlies--that's God's plan. We're to show God to those
principalities and powers. GLORIA: Right. BILLYE: How do
you do it? GLORIA: Take authority. BILLYE: When you told
the twister to go up in the air, when we told them, "No, we're
not having it," you don't pray about weather. That's what
Brother Hagin taught us. GLORIA: You speak to weather. BILLYE:
You speak to weather. GLORIA: Command it. BILLYE: Because the
weather came with the curse. When God created the earth, it
was perfect. But then with the curse, we have these weather
patterns. And sometimes it's just a pattern, but it can be a
demon itself right in that storm. So you take authority
over it. GLORIA: Right. BILLYE: Now, the weapons of our warfare
are not carnal. We've been looking at "carnal." Now we're
going to look at "our." Who are we? "Our." Who--whose weapons
are these? Does this belong to the mere men? GLORIA: Hmm-mm.
BILLYE: No. They don't belong to the mere men that are walking
down the street, that are depressed, that don't know what
in the world to do. Sometimes you see them on TV. They're
talking heads, supposed to be the experts, but they're not
experts because they don't know the Word of God. GLORIA: That's
right. BILLYE: John 1:12-13 says, "As many as received him,
to them gave he authority to become the sons of God--"
GLORIA: Yeah. BILLYE: "--even to them that believe on his name."
Ooh-hoo! GLORIA: Hallelujah. BILLYE: "Which were born--"
GLORIA: How--what does it mean, "received him?" Well, made him
Lord of your life. BILLYE: Jesus, yes. GLORIA: Many of you,
when you were young, said, "Jesus, I receive you as my Lord
and Savior." Well, that's permanent. BILLYE: Yes, it is.
GLORIA: I mean, it doesn't go away. And that's what that's
talking about. "As many as received him, to them gave he
power to become the sons of God." So to them, we--we can
use--I'm one of them. I made Jesus the Lord of my life.
Billye's one of them. So we can make--we can use the name of
Jesus at a storm, at--at a--we saw a car one time that was
turning over-- BILLYE: Yep. GLORIA: --in front of us. We
spoke to it, and it slapped back down. So you know-- BILLYE:
Because-- GLORIA: Actually, when you think about it, when you get
born again and you--you understand the Word and your
authority, you're a weapon against-- BILLYE: You are a
weapon yourself. GLORIA: --Satan and-- BILLYE: Because why?
You're a son of God. GLORIA: That's right. And you've got
authority. BILLYE: You're a child of God. GLORIA: Yeah.
BILLYE: Of God! GLORIA: That's right. BILLYE: God is my Father.
GLORIA: That's right. BILLYE: "Which were born," Verse 13,
"not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of
man, but of God." GLORIA: Yes, amen. BILLYE: The Bible says in
another place, "You are of God, little children, and have
overcome them." GLORIA: That's right. BILLYE: Gloria, I kind of
like to look at my genealogy just for fun and relaxation. But
to tell you the real truth, my real genealogy of my spirit--
GLORIA: Mm-hmm. BILLYE: --is of God. Straight from God. I am of
God. GLORIA: It's the most--most important. BILLYE: I am a child
of God. Hallelujah. GLORIA: Amen. BILLYE: Now, John 4:24
says, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship
him in-- GLORIA: Spirit. BILLYE: "--spirit--" GLORIA: And--
BILLYE: "--and in truth." GLORIA: Truth. BILLYE: So how am
I a child of God? I had a spiritual birth. GLORIA: Yeah.
BILLYE: I had a spiritual-- GLORIA: You were born-- BILLYE:
--new birth. GLORIA: --again. BILLYE: I was born, not of
blood, not of-- GLORIA: You're born in the natural, and you
were born again. BILLYE: --not of the water-- GLORIA: Yeah.
BILLYE: --like Jesus said. GLORIA: Yeah. BILLYE: That's a
natural birth, a water birth. GLORIA: With water. BILLYE: And
then you're born of the Spirit. GLORIA: That's right. Praise
God. BILLYE: Hallelujah. Now, when you're born again, II
Corinthians 5:17-21. "If any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature," a new creation. GLORIA: Yes. BILLYE: "Old things
are passed away; behold, all things are become new." When you
got born again, Gloria Jean, when you sat on that--were you
sitting down when you said, "Take my life--"? GLORIA: I
don't remember. BILLYE: "--and make something of it"? Whatever.
GLORIA: I don't remember. BILLYE: You were home alone.
GLORIA: I expect I was. BILLYE: You were at home alone. GLORIA:
Probably, yeah. BILLYE: Probably, you were in your--you
know, sitting there. GLORIA: Yeah. BILLYE: You said, "Take my
life and do something with it." At that moment, Gloria Jean, the
old Gloria Jean, was gone. GLORIA: I made Jesus Lord.
BILLYE: And there's a brand-new Gloria Jean. GLORIA: Much
better. (Laughs) BILLYE: She's a brand-new creation. GLORIA:
Amen. BILLYE: Some--some translations say, "a brand-new
species." GLORIA: That never has been before. BILLYE: Never been
before. GLORIA: I think that's the Amplified. I'm not sure.
BILLYE: "Old things passed away--" GLORIA: Old things.
BILLYE: "--all things are become new." In the spirit, it's a
spiritual birth. Now, all things didn't become new on your body.
If you had blonde hair before, you have blonde hair afterwards.
If you have blue eyes before, you have blue eyes after, which
she does. But, in the inner man, right then--and I don't think
she had that much knowledge to know what had happened. GLORIA:
Oh, no, I had no knowledge of spiritual things. BILLYE: But at
that moment, she was a brand-new person. She had no past.
Anything she'd ever done before was wiped away by the blood of
Jesus. She starts with innocence. You become a newborn
babe. You are innocent from the moment--I don't care what you've
done. I do not care if you robbed a bank before you turned
on this television today. If you would accept Jesus as your Lord,
it would be wiped away and everything would become new. You
would become a brand-new person. Bless the Lord. Where? Only in
your inner man. GLORIA: You know, Billye, I had the
privilege of going to the- BILLYE: Yes. GLORIA: --prison in
Texas where the--the--I went to preach to the women. BILLYE:
Wasn't it death row? GLORIA: Yeah. And they were--there were
five women on death row at that time. And they got--they let
them come out, come to an area, and I spoke to them, preached to
them. And there were--all of them had killed people. And they
were multiple murderers. But they got in prison, and they got
born again, and now they're not the same old people that they
were. BILLYE: Hmm-mm. GLORIA: And we just got along great. I
mean, they liked the Word, they took it. They laid hold of it,
you know. And they were--in that time, there were about five
women on death row, and most of them had killed multiple people.
BILLYE: Mm-hmm. GLORIA: Now, those women that accepted Jesus
as the Lord of their lives, they got born over again. And that
old sentence in the spirit and in the natural--in the natural,
they still had to deal with, but in the spirit-- BILLYE: They're
brand-new. GLORIA: --they're brand-new. BILLYE: And
even--even I think one of them was executed, that you knew--
GLORIA: Mm-hmm. BILLYE: --for that. But when she was executed,
she went straight to heaven-- GLORIA: That's right. That's
right. BILLYE: --because of the inner man was born again.
GLORIA: That's right. BILLYE: And when we are born again,
Gloria, we become a brand-new species, something that never
was before. GLORIA: That's exactly right. BILLYE: Never was
before. GLORIA: You're not the same-- BILLYE: In the Old
Testament-- GLORIA: --in the spirit. BILLYE: --they had the
Jews, they had the Gentiles, the nations. GLORIA: Mm-hmm. BILLYE:
But in the New, any Jews, any gentile, when they accept the
Lord Jesus Christ and they believe that God raised Him from
the dead, then in that instant, they become a brand-new species,
something that never was on this earth again. Now, here's what I
see in the Church, Gloria. They don't see so much. I'm not
talking about you and--and a lot of people you and I know who see
this. GLORIA: Mm-hmm. BILLYE: But a great number of the Church
don't see that they're a brand-new species. GLORIA: Well,
they've never been taught that. BILLYE: They don't see that
they're brand-new creations. And they just go right along letting
the devil beat them down, letting--letting their minds be
plagued by the devil. GLORIA: Under guilt. BILLYE: Under
guilt, under worry, fear. GLORIA: Yeah. BILLYE: All these
things because they have not learned that they're a brand-new
creation, a brand-new species who walks by different rules.
GLORIA: That's right. BILLYE: The Bible says here that "Now
you are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you--"
And Christ said, "Be reconciled to God." We're ambassadors.
We're a brand-new species. We're--we are from heaven.
GLORIA: We represent. BILLYE: We represent God, and we're down
here on the earth as ambassadors. You and I are
ambassadors from heaven today. We are ambassadors, and we're
talking about the country we come from. GLORIA: Mm-hmm.
BILLYE: In a--in a--let's say we have an ambassador of the United
States that's even in Russia. Well, on that ambassadorship in
that embassy, the laws of the United States take place. So
here we are on the earth. I'm an ambassador, but I'm really a
citizen from heaven, so I walk in the laws of heaven. GLORIA:
That's right. BILLYE: I don't have to be sick. GLORIA: That's
right. BILLYE: I don't have to be poor. I'm well provided for.
But I do have to enforce-- GLORIA: You have to enforce.
BILLYE: --in my laws. GLORIA: That's right. BILLYE: I have to
walk like a new creature. Paul said, "You're not walking like
new creations." GLORIA: You have to speak-- BILLYE: "You're
acting like the world." GLORIA: --new-creature words. BILLYE:
You're carnal. You're acting like the world. You're fussing,
you're fighting, you're going along there--now, if you insist
on that, if you insist on walking carnally, after you grow
for a while--you can get away with things when you're a baby.
When you're really a baby Christian and you only got born
again last week, or maybe you only got born again last year,
well, you--you know, you get some slack cut for you. GLORIA:
It's just like natural. You can get away with a lot for a year
or two-- BILLYE: That's right, but after a while-- GLORIA: In
the natural-- BILLYE: --that baby-- GLORIA: --but in the
supernatural, they can't. BILLYE: You don't be carrying
that baby around when he's 10 years old. GLORIA: That's right.
He'd look funny if he wore diapers. They'd laugh at him.
BILLYE: You walk. You get up and walk here. GLORIA: That's right.
BILLYE: You grow on up and be an ambassador. You grow on up
and--and you--you show those demons and principalities and
powers in the area-- GLORIA: Praise God. BILLYE: We'll talk
more about this later. You manifest God to them. You do
what you're supposed to do. Now, here's what--that's what I think
is--is the crying need of the Church, is to see who we are--
GLORIA: Amen. BILLYE: --who we are in Jesus Christ. GLORIA: And
act like it. BILLYE: Act like it. GLORIA: Yeah. BILLYE:
Enforce Jesus' victory on the earth. Bless the Lord. And
manifest God. GLORIA: Miracles and healing and-- BILLYE: Yes.
GLORIA: --wonderful things that belong to us. All those things
belong to us now. Everything good you see in that Scripture,
if you're born again, it's yours. But what do you--but it
won't just roll on you. BILLYE: No. GLORIA: You have to receive
it. "As many as received him became--" BILLYE: That's it.
GLORIA: Glory to God. BILLYE: "--sons of God."
GLORIA: Billye and I'll be right back.
