Deputy Assistant Secretary for Southeast Asia Murphy Briefs on Burma - Duration: 9:20.

MS NAUERT: Thank you, all of you, for coming today.

I know a lot of you are interested in the issue of Burma and what is happening with

the Rohingya there.

We have talked about it a lot from this podium about our level of engagement at the State

Department on that issue.

We have been proud to have announced $104 million in 2017 that has gone to both internally

and externally displaced people.

We've talked quite a bit about the good work that the Government of Bangladesh has

done in accepting so many of those refugees.

So because of that, because of the focus on this and I know your intense interest, I brought

our Deputy Assistant Secretary Patrick Murphy.

He was on the Hill earlier today briefing the Senate Foreign Relations Committee with

assessment of our U.S. policy toward Burma.

That included the geopolitical, economic, and humanitarian considerations.

He's going to join us for just a short briefing.

He has a very tight schedule today.

He'll take a couple of your questions, and then I'll handle the rest of the briefing

from there.

So with that, I'd like to welcome Deputy Assistant Secretary Murphy.

Thank you so much for coming on in today, sir.

Go right ahead.

MR MURPHY: Thank you very much, Heather.

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.

Indeed, Burma has preoccupied us quite significantly since August 25th when armed attacks took

place on security forces, and the ensuing humanitarian crisis is of epic proportions.

Many of the challenges in Burma have preoccupied us for decades, but this current crisis has

been quite devastating.

I had a very good morning joined by colleagues from our refugee bureau and USAID with the

members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as we did a couple of weeks ago with their

counterparts on the House side of Congress.

Let me give you a few top lines of our discussion today, where we are with regards to our actions

addressing the crisis, and then take your questions.

Burma's long struggle defied authoritarian rule to transition to a democratic society.

The terrible Rakhine State crisis has exacerbated longstanding suffering of Rohingya and other

populations, and threatens this peaceful transition as do other challenges the elected civilian

authority inherited just 16 months ago.

Our efforts seek to end the violence, support the displaced and their return home, and address

the conditions that sparked this colossal population movement.

We also want accountability for atrocities.

As we announced here last night, we have identified new and ongoing actions to hold responsible

those who have committed violence, including the following measures, and let me share them

with you: suspending travel waivers for military leaders; assessing existing authorities to

consider options to target individuals responsible for atrocities; finding that all units and

officers involved in operations in northern Rakhine State are ineligible for U.S. assistance

programs; rescinding invitations for Burmese security leaders to travel to U.S.-sponsored

programs; maintaining a longstanding arms embargo; consulting on accountability options

at the United Nations, the Human Rights Council, and other venues; and pressing for access

for the UN Fact-Finding Mission – a mission that we helped support the establishment of.

There is also a need to address long-term causes of instability in Rakhine State.

We support Burma in implementing the recommendations of the Kofi Annan Rakhine Advisory Commission

to take on underdevelopment, lack of services, access to justice, and a citizenship process

for all people in Rakhine State.

At the same time, Burma's overall success is very important for the peoples of Burma,

for the region, indeed, for U.S. national interests.

We will continue to work with the democratically-elected civilian leadership, Burma's diverse populations

and other stakeholders inside the country, and the region on this crisis and other daunting

challenges in the post-military era of that country.

Today, as I said, we testified before the Senate and several weeks ago before the House.

There have been many questions there about how best to describe the appalling treatment

of the Rohingya.

I want to be very clear: We are not shying away from the use of any appropriate terminology.

We have a deliberative process to examine facts and a policy to support the pursuit

of additional information to make such determinations, thus our support, for example, for the UN

Fact-Finding Mission.

In the meantime, as Secretary of State Tillerson said, the violence has been characterized

by many as ethnic cleansing.

Our Ambassador to the United Nations Haley has said that action – actions appear to

be a brutal, sustained campaign to cleanse the country of an ethnic minority.

There is no question in our minds that atrocities have been committed, and we will work with

the international community and Burmese stakeholders to pursue all means available to hold accountable

those responsible for these acts.

Thank you.

With that, I'll take a few questions.

MS NAUERT: Thanks.

We'll start with Josh Lederman from AP.

QUESTION: Thank you for being here.

You mentioned the considerations about ethnic cleansing terminology.

Are you also considering whether the terms "crimes against humanity" or "genocide"

are appropriate in this case?

MR MURPHY: I refer in general terms to any terminology to best describe this human tragedy,

disaster, and collective set of atrocities.

There are a variety of terms.

Some of this is legal in assessing the best terminology, so all options are on the table

on how best to describe this.

In the meantime, I want to emphasize we're not waiting for any determination on what

best to call it to take actions.

We see that atrocities have been committed.

Accountability is necessary to both end the violence, ensure that responsibility is taken

for actions and acts that have been committed, and to forestall future violence in this complicated

part of the country.

MS NAUERT: Warren from Reuters.

QUESTION: So if the U.S.

Government does decide to use the words "crimes against humanity" or "genocide," does

that cause you to have to take certain policy steps?

I remember during the debate over Darfur several years ago, there was a debate about whether

to use the term "genocide."

The U.S.

Government eventually did, but I don't think it kind of precipitated necessary policy action.

MR MURPHY: I'm actually not the expert on it.

I think there are some legal issues involved with what obligations there might be with

any particular determination.

What I can say as a matter of policy, we've assessed that atrocities have been committed

and we must pursue accountability.

And to do so we're working with members of the international community, but equally

as important stakeholders inside the country.

And I want to emphasize here that there are many stakeholders when it comes to perpetuating

violence and taking responsibility to end it.

There's the government, the armed forces, local authorities in Rakhine State, and the

general population across Burma; all of them have some responsibilities to contribute to

ending the violence, helping reveal all of the facts necessary for accountability going

forward.

MS NAUERT: Nike, go ahead.

QUESTION: Thank you.

MS NAUERT: And this has to be our last question.

Thanks.

QUESTION: Sure.

Just to follow up on Warren's question, does the determination of ethnic cleansing

give you authorization for new sanctions?

And separately, do you know when is the last time Secretary Tillerson called Aung San Suu

Kyi?

Did they ever talk after October 12th?

MR MURPHY: Listen, I've – over the course of my career, sadly – have encountered many

humanitarian crises of a very serious nature around the world, and I understand the frustrations

and the emotions in trying to describe them with the strongest terms possible.

What I have offered for you, what we've seen inside Rakhine State, is a collection

of serious atrocities.

There's no question about that.

There has been violence.

There have been many individuals and entities contributing to that violence.

We don't have all the facts.

Security forces have responsibility and they have responded to the initial attacks in August

in a disproportionate manner.

They also have a responsibility to protect civilians, and we assess they have had some

shortcomings.

There are other contributors to violence, including Rohingya militants, local vigilantes,

and the like.

Our effort now is to stop the violence and to pursue accountability, so the terminology

is really not a factor for us.

We know that violence has been committed and acts associated with atrocities have been

undertaken, and we are pursuing and encouraging voices in the international community and

inside Burma to provide the information necessary to come about with the measures

leading to accountability.

We view that, I think, as our most important priority.

MS NAUERT: Thank you.

QUESTION: Can I have just a follow-up on --

MS NAUERT: We've got to go.

QUESTION: On one thing?

Just a really quick follow-up on --

MS NAUERT: Any questions I – Said, any questions, I can collect them and get them for you later. Okay?

MR MURPHY: Thank you very much.

MS NAUERT: And I neglected to say you're East Asia and Pacific Affairs, so.

MR MURPHY: Great. Thank you very much, Heather.

Thank you, ladies and gentlemen.

MS NAUERT: Thank you, sir. Great to see you

Thank you.

Thank you.

<b>SID: MIKE FRANCEN</b> <b>CHALLENGES CROWDS OF</b>

<b>THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE TO</b> <b>STONE HIM IF THEY DON'T</b>

<b>SEE AUTHENTIC MIRACLES,</b> <b>NEXT ON THIS EDITION OF</b>

<b>IT'S SUPERNATURAL.</b>

<b>[MUSIC♪] LIFE AFTER DEATH</b> <b>EXPERIENCES AND ANGELIC</b>

<b>COMMUNICATIONS ARE ON THE</b> <b>INCREASE.</b>

<b>TERMINALLY ILL PATIENTS</b> <b>WHOM DOCTORS HAVE GIVEN NO</b>

<b>HOPE ARE UNEXPLAINABLY</b> <b>CURED.</b>

<b>PEOPLE ARE BEING</b> <b>MYSTERIOUSLY PROTECTED</b>

<b>FROM NATURAL DISASTERS.</b>

<b>SID ROTH, YOUR</b> <b>INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER,</b>

<b>EXAMINES THIS INVISIBLE</b> <b>WORLD ON IT'S</b>

<b>SUPERNATURAL.</b>

<b>[MUSIC♪]</b>

<b>SID: HELLO.</b>

<b>I'M SID ROTH YOUR</b> <b>INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER.</b>

<b>MY GUEST MIKE FRANCEN HAS</b> <b>SEEN MIRACLES THAT MOST</b>

<b>PEOPLE JUST READ ABOUT AND</b> <b>THEY SAY THEY'RE NOT TRUE.</b>

<b>TELL ME THE FIRST MIRACLE</b> <b>YOU REMEMBER SEEING,</b>

<b>MIKE FRANCEN.</b>

<b>MIKE: THE FIRST MIRACLE I</b> <b>EVER SAW WAS SOMETHING</b>

<b>THAT HAPPENED TO MY</b> <b>MOTHER.</b>

<b>WE WERE NOT BROUGHT UP IN</b> <b>A CHURCH HOME AT ALL AND I</b>

<b>DIDN'T BELIEVE IN CHRIST.</b>

<b>IN FACT, I PROFESSED TO BE</b> <b>AN ATHEIST.</b>

<b>I BELIEVED IN BASKETBALL</b> <b>AS MY RELIGION.</b>

<b>I BELIEVED IN BASKETBALL</b> <b>AND THAT'S WHAT I DID ALL</b>

<b>OF MY LIFE, EVERY DAY.</b>

<b>AND TO MAKE A LONG STORY</b> <b>VERY SHORT,</b>

<b>A MIRACLE HAPPENED TO MY</b> <b>MOTHER.</b>

<b>WE WEREN'T BROUGHT UP IN A</b> <b>CHURCH HOME,</b>

<b>NEVER WENT TO CHURCH.</b>

<b>THEY WEREN'T CHRISTIANS.</b>

<b>THEY WERE NOT EVEN A</b> <b>RELIGIOUS FLAVOR AT ALL.</b>

<b>SID: I'M SO GLAD.</b>

<b>YOU KNOW WHY?</b>

<b>I HATE RELIGION.</b>

<b>MIKE: NOBODY HATES</b> <b>RELIGION MORE THAN I HATE</b>

<b>RELIGION.</b>

<b>SID: GOOD.</b>

<b>WE GOT SOMETHING IN</b> <b>COMMON.</b>

<b>MIKE: CHRISTIAN RELIGION</b> <b>CAN BE JUST AS DESPICABLE</b>

<b>AS ANY, IF WE'VE TAKEN THE</b> <b>WORD OF GOD AND JUST MADE</b>

<b>IT TRADITIONS AND</b> <b>SUPERSTITIONS.</b>

<b>SID: RULES.</b>

<b>RULES AND TRADITIONS.</b>

<b>SEE, I'M JEWISH AND WE GOT</b> <b>A CORNER IN THE MARKET ON</b>

<b>TRADITION.</b>

<b>BUT YOU CHRISTIANS ARE</b> <b>CATCHING UP REAL FAST.</b>

<b>MIKE: OH YEAH.</b>

<b>OH YEAH.</b>

<b>I MEAN, IT'S, I HATE</b> <b>RELIGION IN ALL FORMS.</b>

<b>AND SO ANYWAY, THE FIRST</b> <b>MIRACLE I EVER SAW</b>

<b>HAPPENED TO MY MOTHER.</b>

<b>AND LIKE I SAID, I CLAIMED</b> <b>TO BE AN ATHEIST AND I</b>

<b>KNEW THEY WEREN'T CHURCH</b> <b>PEOPLE OR DIDN'T BELIEVE</b>

<b>IN GOD.</b>

<b>A LADY PRAYED FOR HER.</b>

<b>SHE HAD LOCKJAW AND SHE</b> <b>ARTHRITIS IN HER KNEES SO</b>

<b>BAD SHE COULDN'T WALK</b> <b>UPSTAIRS,</b>

<b>AND HER JAW, SHE COULD</b> <b>ONLY OPEN IT JUST MAYBE</b>

<b>ONLY HALF AN INCH.</b>

<b>SID: OKAY.</b>

<b>I DON'T UNDERSTAND</b> <b>LOCKJAW.</b>

<b>IS THIS SOMETHING THAT</b> <b>JUST BY ITSELF GETS</b>

<b>BETTER?</b>

<b>MIKE: I DON'T, NO, IT</b> <b>DOESN'T GET BETTER.</b>

<b>SHE HAD BEEN TO THE</b> <b>DOCTORS MANY TIMES.</b>

<b>THERE WAS NOTHING, THEY</b> <b>COULDN'T TELL,</b>

<b>YOU KNOW, SHE WAS EATING A</b> <b>LOT OF HER FOOD THROUGH A</b>

<b>STRAW.</b>

<b>SHE'D GET A HAMBURGER AND</b> <b>SHE'D MASH IT DOWN TO TRY</b>

<b>TO SQUEEZE IT IN HER</b> <b>MOUTH.</b>

<b>AND THE DOCTORS COULDN'T</b> <b>DO ANYTHING FOR HER.</b>

<b>THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING</b> <b>FOR THE ARTHRITIS IN HER</b>

<b>KNEES.</b>

<b>THEY GAVE HER SOME</b> <b>DIFFERENT PAIN THINGS,</b>

<b>BUT SHE COULDN'T WALK UP</b> <b>AND DOWN THE STAIRS.</b>

<b>AND A LADY PRAYED FOR HER</b> <b>ONE DAY.</b>

<b>AND SHE WAS TOO</b> <b>EMBARRASSED TO REJECT THE</b>

<b>PRAYER, SO SHE LET HER</b> <b>PRAY FOR HER.</b>

<b>AND WHEN SHE WOKE UP THE</b> <b>NEXT MORNING THE PAIN LEFT</b>

<b>HER KNEES, HER JAW WAS</b> <b>FREED AND OPEN,</b>

<b>AND THAT WAS THE FIRST</b> <b>MIRACLE I EVER SAW.</b>

<b>SID: DID YOU BELIEVE IT</b> <b>WAS A MIRACLE?</b>

<b>MIKE: I KNEW SOMETHING</b> <b>HAPPENED BECAUSE I SAW A</b>

<b>RADICAL CHANGE IN HER</b> <b>LIFE,</b>

<b>AND THEN IT MADE A BIG</b> <b>DIFFERENCE TO MY FATHER</b>

<b>WHO WAS FAR FROM LIVING</b> <b>FOR GOD.</b>

<b>SID: BETTER QUESTION: DID</b> <b>YOU EVER THINK THAT YOU</b>

<b>WOULD PRAY FOR PEOPLE AND</b> <b>SEE MIRACLES FAR MORE</b>

<b>SPECTACULAR THAN THAT?</b>

<b>MIKE: NO, NO.</b>

<b>SID: BEYOND THE WILDEST</b> <b>IMAGINATION.</b>

<b>MIKE: NO, I NEVER,</b> <b>BASKETBALL WAS ALL THE,</b>

<b>THE ONLY FUTURE I EVER</b> <b>SAW.</b>

<b>SID: ALL RIGHT.</b>

<b>I WANT TO TEASE SOME</b> <b>PEOPLE RIGHT NOW.</b>

<b>THERE IS A WOMAN IN THE</b> <b>BIBLE THAT WAS HUNCHED</b>

<b>OVER.</b>

<b>SHE LITERALLY, SHE HAD TO</b> <b>WALK LOOKING AT THE FLOOR.</b>

<b>AND THE MESSIAH TOUCHED</b> <b>HER,</b>

<b>AND SHE WAS HEALED.</b>

<b>IN TANZANIA, THIS VERY</b> <b>SAME THING HAPPENED TO</b>

<b>YOU.</b>

<b>TELL ME ABOUT IT.</b>

<b>MIKE: IT WAS AN AWESOME</b> <b>MIRACLE.</b>

<b>IT WAS A MUSLIM WOMAN WHO</b> <b>HEARD FOR 30 YEARS,</b>

<b>THIS WOMAN, FOR 30 YEARS</b> <b>WAS BOWED OVER.</b>

<b>SHE WALKED, SHE HAD TO</b> <b>WALK ON ALL FOURS,</b>

<b>HER HANDS ON THE GROUND.</b>

<b>SID: I'VE SEEN PEOPLE LIKE</b> <b>THAT.</b>

<b>IT'S THE SADDEST THING.</b>

<b>MIKE: IT IS.</b>

<b>ALL DIGNITY HAS BEEN</b> <b>STRIPPED FROM THEIR LIVES.</b>

<b>THEY HAVE NOTHING LEFT.</b>

<b>THEY CAN'T STAND AND TALK</b> <b>FACE TO FACE.</b>

<b>THEY LOOK AT PEOPLE'S</b> <b>FACE.</b>

<b>THEY LOOK AT THE DIRT.</b>

<b>FOR 30 YEARS - SID: SHE HAD</b> <b>TO BE SO DEPRESSED.</b>

<b>MIKE: SHE HAD GIVEN UP</b> <b>HOPE.</b>

<b>YOU KNOW, SHE, FOR THREE</b> <b>MONTHS SHE HAD NOT EVEN</b>

<b>BEEN OUTSIDE OF HER HOME</b> <b>AND FOR 30 YEARS BOWED</b>

<b>OVER.</b>

<b>AND THEN FOR FOUR DAYS, WE</b> <b>HAD A FIVE-DAY CRUSADE IN</b>

<b>TANZANIA, AND FOR FOUR</b> <b>DAYS,</b>

<b>SHE HEARD HER FRIENDS AND</b> <b>HER NEIGHBORS COME TALKING</b>

<b>ABOUT THE MIRACLES, THE</b> <b>BLIND AND DEAF,</b>

<b>AND CRIPPLED.</b>

<b>SID: BUT WHY WOULD A</b> <b>MUSLIM WOMAN COME,</b>

<b>BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE IN</b> <b>JESUS?</b>

<b>MIKE: NO HOPE.</b>

<b>HER RELIGION OFFERED HER</b> <b>NO HOPE.</b>

<b>HER RELIGION OFFERED HER</b> <b>NO HELP.</b>

<b>THERE WAS NOTHING THE</b> <b>DOCTORS COULD DO FOR HER,</b>

<b>NOTHING HER RELIGION COULD</b> <b>DO HER.</b>

<b>AND ALL HER FRIENDS, WHICH</b> <b>WERE,</b>

<b>SOME OF THEM WERE MUSLIMS</b> <b>BEFORE,</b>

<b>BUT CAME BACK TALKING</b> <b>ABOUT THIS JESUS,</b>

<b>TALKING ABOUT THE</b> <b>MIRACLES,</b>

<b>ALL OF A SUDDEN HER</b> <b>FRIENDS CAME TALKING ABOUT</b>

<b>THIS, AND SHE SAID, "I'M</b> <b>GONNA TO GO.</b>

<b>I'M GONNA GO."</b>

<b>SHE, ON THE LAST DAY OF</b> <b>THE CRUSADE,</b>

<b>SHE SAID, I'M GOING, ON</b> <b>HER HANDS AND KNEES.</b>

<b>SHE HADN'T EVEN WALKED FOR</b> <b>THE LAST THREE MONTHS,</b>

<b>NOT BEEN OUTSIDE OF HER</b> <b>HUT FOR THREE MONTHS.</b>

<b>SHE LIVED ON TOP OF A</b> <b>MOUNTAINSIDE,</b>

<b>AND ON HER HANDS AND</b> <b>KNEES,</b>

<b>SHE GOT UP EARLY THAT</b> <b>SUNDAY MORNING,</b>

<b>AND SHE CRAWLED ON HER</b> <b>HANDS AND KNEES DOWN THAT</b>

<b>MOUNTAINSIDE, CRAWLED DOWN</b> <b>THE DIRT ROAD AND CRAWLED</b>

<b>ONTO A BUS.</b>

<b>AND IT TOOK HER ALL DAY</b> <b>LONG TO GET TO OUR</b>

<b>CRUSADE, AND SHE GOT THERE</b> <b>THAT AFTERNOON.</b>

<b>SHE CRAWLED INTO THE</b> <b>STADIUM AND WE HAD JUST</b>

<b>THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE PACKED</b> <b>IN THIS PLACE.</b>

<b>AND SHE CRAWLED IN THERE.</b>

<b>SHE SAT AND SHE LISTENED</b> <b>TO ME TALK ABOUT JESUS</b>

<b>CHRIST AND HIS GOODNESS,</b> <b>AND HIS FAITHFULNESS TO</b>

<b>FULFILL HIS PROMISES AS I</b> <b>PROCLAIMED THEM.</b>

<b>SID: WHAT HAPPENED?</b>

<b>MIKE: I'M NOT GOING TELL</b> <b>YOU.</b>

<b>SID: OH COME ON, I'M GOING</b> <b>TO HIT YOU OVER THE HEAD.</b>

<b>MIKE: IT WAS, YOU KNOW, TO</b> <b>SEE THE MIRACLES,</b>

<b>SID, WHAT'S THE GREATEST</b> <b>MIRACLE YOU'VE EVER SEEN?</b>

<b>YOU KNOW, THERE ARE SO</b> <b>MANY.</b>

<b>SID: I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT</b> <b>HER.</b>

<b>I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THIS</b> <b>ONE.</b>

<b>YOU CAN'T DO THAT, MIKE</b> <b>FRANCEN.</b>

<b>MIKE: I'VE GOT A VIDEO YOU</b> <b>COULD BUY AND YOU CAN SEE</b>

<b>THE WHOLE THING.</b>

<b>SID: I HAVE BOX TOP TO</b> <b>SEND YOU.</b>

<b>NOW TELL ME.</b>

<b>MIKE: SHE SAT THERE.</b>

<b>SHE LISTENED TO ME PREACH</b> <b>THE GOSPEL OF JESUS</b>

<b>CHRIST.</b>

<b>SHE CRAWLED UP RIGHT NEXT</b> <b>TO THE PLATFORM AND THEN I</b>

<b>BEGAN TO PRAY A MASS</b> <b>PRAYER FOR THE SICK.</b>

<b>WHEN I ASKED, HOW MANY OF</b> <b>YOU WANT TO RECEIVE JESUS</b>

<b>CHRIST, SHE DIDN'T REALLY</b> <b>DO ANYTHING.</b>

<b>SHE PRAYED AND WENT</b> <b>THROUGH THE MOTIONS.</b>

<b>SID: WHAT DO YOU EXPECT</b> <b>FOR A PERSON TO DO?</b>

<b>MIKE: YOU CAN'T EXPECT IT.</b>

<b>THEN I PRAYED A MASS</b> <b>PRAYER FOR THE SICK AND</b>

<b>ALL OF A SUDDEN, HER BODY</b> <b>BEGAN TO SHAKE AND JUST</b>

<b>QUIVER.</b>

<b>AND SHE CAME UP IN A</b> <b>LITTLE BIT AND TOLD ME THE</b>

<b>STORY.</b>

<b>SHE SAID, "MY BODY BEGAN</b> <b>TO SHAKE.</b>

<b>MY ARMS SHOOK AND MY LEGS</b> <b>SHOOK."</b>

<b>AND THEN I SAID, I JUST</b> <b>SPOKE TO THE CROWD.</b>

<b>I DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS</b> <b>THERE.</b>

<b>PEOPLE SAID, "OH, LOOK AT</b> <b>MIKE FRANCEN,</b>

<b>HE'S GOT GREAT FAITH FOR</b> <b>HEALING.</b>

<b>MIKE, YOU'VE GOT GREAT</b> <b>FAITH."</b>

<b>I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW SHE WAS</b> <b>THERE.</b>

<b>DON'T BLAME ME.</b>

<b>IT'S GOD HONORING HIS</b> <b>WORD.</b>

<b>DON'T BLAME ME FOR THE</b> <b>MIRACLES.</b>

<b>IT'S GOD AND JESUS CHRIST.</b>

<b>SID: YOU KNOW, AS YOU</b> <b>STATE THE TRUTH,</b>

<b>THAT BUILDS THEIR FAITH</b> <b>AND CAUSES A MIRACLE TO</b>

<b>HAPPEN.</b>

<b>MIKE: THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED</b> <b>TO HER.</b>

<b>I PRAYED A MASS PRAYER FOR</b> <b>THE SICK.</b>

<b>GOD BEGAN TO TOUCH THEM.</b>

<b>THEN I SAID, "DO WHAT YOU</b> <b>CAN'T DO BEFORE,</b>

<b>WHICH YOU COULD NOT DO</b> <b>BEFORE AND SEE IF GOD HAS</b>

<b>GIVEN YOU A MIRACLE."</b>

<b>WELL SHE FELT SOMETHING</b> <b>SHAKE AND HAPPEN TO HER</b>

<b>BODY.</b>

<b>SO SHE BEGAN TO STAND TO</b> <b>HER FEET AND FOR THE FIRST</b>

<b>TIME IN THREE MONTHS, SHE</b> <b>WAS STANDING,</b>

<b>BUT SHE WAS STILL BOWED</b> <b>OVER.</b>

<b>AND I SAID, "DO WHAT YOU</b> <b>COULDN'T DO BEFORE."</b>

<b>ALL OF A SUDDEN, SHE BEGAN</b> <b>TO STRAIGHTEN UP.</b>

<b>AND SHE CAME UP ON THE</b> <b>PLATFORM AND FOR THE FIRST</b>

<b>TIME IN 30 YEARS, SHE</b> <b>STOOD UP STRAIGHT,</b>

<b>AND SHE HELD HER HANDS UP,</b> <b>AND THE CROWD JUST WENT</b>

<b>WILD.</b>

<b>BUT THE STORY WENT ON FROM</b> <b>THERE.</b>

<b>SHE WENT BACK HOME.</b>

<b>SID: AND HOW DID SHE GO</b> <b>BACK HOME?</b>

<b>MIKE: SHE WALKED BACK</b> <b>HOME.</b>

<b>SID: STRONG AND ERECT.</b>

<b>MIKE: DIGNITY.</b>

<b>I MEAN, SHE HELD HER HEAD,</b> <b>JUST A SMILE.</b>

<b>SID: HOW OLD A WOMAN WOULD</b> <b>YOU SAY SHE IS?</b>

<b>MIKE: I WOULD SAY SHE WAS</b> <b>IN HER 60S,</b>

<b>LATE 60S.</b>

<b>SID: SO WOULD SHE, HAD SHE</b> <b>BEEN THIS WAY HER WHOLE</b>

<b>LIFE?</b>

<b>MIKE: FOR 30 YEARS SHE HAD</b> <b>BEEN BOWED OVER.</b>

<b>ALL OF HER FRIENDS KNEW</b> <b>IT.</b>

<b>SID: THIRTY YEARS.</b>

<b>MIKE: AND WE TOOK HER</b> <b>HOME.</b>

<b>SID: NOTHING BUT THE</b> <b>CROWD.</b>

<b>I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING</b> <b>MORE DEPRESSING.</b>

<b>MIKE: NO, NO.</b>

<b>SHE HAD NO HOPE.</b>

<b>BUT JESUS GIVES HOPE AND</b> <b>HOPE IS THE FOUNDATION OF</b>

<b>FAITH, AND FAITH BRINGS ON</b> <b>MIRACLES FROM GOD.</b>

<b>SID: SO SHE WENT HOME AND</b> <b>WHAT HAPPENED?</b>

<b>MIKE: WHEN SHE WENT HOME</b> <b>WE HAD,</b>

<b>WE DROVE HER HOME BECAUSE</b> <b>WE HEARD HER STORY.</b>

<b>IT WAS JUST A PHENOMENAL</b> <b>STORY.</b>

<b>SHE HAD A GREAT, WE NEED</b> <b>TO JUST INTERVIEW HER FOR</b>

<b>POSTERITY SAKE IF NOTHING</b> <b>ELSE.</b>

<b>AND SO WE WENT TO HER</b> <b>HOME.</b>

<b>WE DROVE UP THIS MOUNTAIN</b> <b>AND THEN ONE OF THE</b>

<b>PASTORS WALKED UP THERE</b> <b>WITH HER,</b>

<b>AND HE WAS HOLDING HER BY</b> <b>THE ARM.</b>

<b>WHEN SHE GOT NEAR HER</b> <b>HOME,</b>

<b>SHE SHOOK HER ARM LOOSE.</b>

<b>SHE SAID, "LET GO OF ME."</b>

<b>SHE SAID, "I TOLD MY</b> <b>FRIENDS AND MY NEIGHBORS I</b>

<b>WAS GOING TO GET HEALED,"</b> <b>AND SHE SAID,</b>

<b>"I WANT THEM TO SEE WHAT</b> <b>GOD HAS DONE."</b>

<b>SHE WALKED HOME, WALKING</b> <b>UP STRAIGHT.</b>

<b>ALL OF HER NEIGHBORS,</b> <b>"LOOK AT MAMA GET HEALED,</b>

<b>MAMA GOT HEALED, MAMA GOT</b> <b>HER MIRACLE."</b>

<b>AND IT JUST, I MEAN, THE</b> <b>GOSPEL WAS PREACHED IN</b>

<b>THAT LITTLE VILLAGE, EVEN</b> <b>THOUGH SOME OF THEM NEVER</b>

<b>WENT TO THE CRUSADE.</b>

<b>SID: YOU THINK THAT'S A</b> <b>GOOD MIRACLE.</b>

<b>WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR HOW</b> <b>THIS WHOLE PHENOMENA OF</b>

<b>MIRACLES STARTED WITH MIKE</b> <b>FRANCEN. [MUSIC♪]</b>

<b>IT'S AMAZING.</b>

<b>AND GUESS WHAT?</b>

<b>GOD IS NOT A RESPECTER OF</b> <b>PERSONS.</b>

<b>GUESS WHAT THAT MEANS?</b>

<b>WHAT HE DID FOR THIS</b> <b>WOMAN,</b>

<b>HE CAN DO FOR YOU.</b>

<b>ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO</b> <b>THOSE WHO BELIEVE.</b>

<b>DON'T GO AWAY.</b>

<b>[MUSIC♪]</b>

<b>(SWOOSH SOUND)</b>

<b>WE'LL RETURN TO MORE OF</b> <b>SID ROTH AND IT'S SUPERNATURAL.</b>

<b>[MUSIC♪]</b>

<b>SID: HI. I'M SID ROTH YOUR</b> <b>INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER.</b>

<b>I'M SPEAKING TO MIKE</b> <b>FRANCEN AND I WANT TO FIND</b>

<b>OUT HOW BLIND PEOPLE GET</b> <b>THEIR SIGHT BACK,</b>

<b>DEAF HEAR.</b>

<b>I MEAN, DID GOD COME TO</b> <b>YOU ONE DAY AND CALL YOUR</b>

<b>NAME OUT THREE TIMES, AND</b> <b>SAY,</b>

<b>"MIKE FRANCEN, GO TO</b> <b>AFRICA AND YOU WILL SEE</b>

<b>MIRACLES"?</b>

<b>MIKE: IT WAS INTERESTING</b> <b>THE WAY THAT THIS ALL CAME</b>

<b>ABOUT TO HAPPEN.</b>

<b>TO ME, I ACCEPTED CHRIST</b> <b>TWO YEARS AFTER MY MOTHER</b>

<b>HAD GOTTEN HEALED AND I</b> <b>REALIZED THAT I HAD BETTER</b>

<b>MAKE A DECISION ON WHAT MY</b> <b>INTERNAL DESTINY IS GOING</b>

<b>TO BE.</b>

<b>AND I GOT A HOLD OF ONE OF</b> <b>T. L. OSBORN'S BOOKS, AND</b>

<b>T. L. OSBORN HAS PROBABLY</b> <b>PREACHED TO MORE PEOPLE</b>

<b>FACE TO FACE THAN ANYONE</b> <b>WHO HAS EVER LIVED.</b>

<b>JUST FOR NEARLY 60 YEARS</b> <b>HE'S TRAVELED THE WORLD</b>

<b>WITH THE GOSPEL AND HAD</b> <b>MASSIVE CROWDS OF HUNDREDS</b>

<b>OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE.</b>

<b>SID: I REMEMBER READING A</b> <b>BOOK ABOUT HIM AND HE WENT</b>

<b>TO A FOREIGN COUNTRY AND</b> <b>CAME BACK SO DISCOURAGED</b>

<b>AND BURNT OUT, AND THEN HE</b> <b>WENT BACK AND MIRACLES</b>

<b>HAPPENED, AND EVERYTHING</b> <b>CHANGED.</b>

<b>MIKE: YEAH.</b>

<b>THE FIRST PLACE HE EVER</b> <b>WENT TO WAS INDIA,</b>

<b>AND HE WENT THERE FOR A</b> <b>FIVE-YEAR TENURE,</b>

<b>AND CAME HOME AFTER 10 OR</b> <b>11 MONTH DEFEATED BECAUSE</b>

<b>HE COULDN'T CONVINCE THE</b> <b>MULTITUDE.</b>

<b>THE ONLY THING THAT</b> <b>SEPARATES WHAT WE HAVE</b>

<b>FROM ALL THE RELIGIONS IN</b> <b>THE WORLD,</b>

<b>IT'S NOT A PRAYER, BECAUSE</b> <b>THEY ALL HAVE PRAYER</b>

<b>MEETINGS.</b>

<b>IT'S NOT A BOOK, IT'S NOT</b> <b>OUR BIBLE BECAUSE THEY'VE</b>

<b>GOT, YOU CAN'T GO TO INDIA</b> <b>AND OPEN YOUR BOOK,</b>

<b>THEY'VE GOT THEIR OWN</b> <b>BOOKS.</b>

<b>THE BUDDHISTS HAVE IT.</b>

<b>EVERYBODY HAS GOT THEIR</b> <b>OWN HOLY WRITINGS.</b>

<b>THEY ALL HAVE THEIR HOLY</b> <b>SERVICE.</b>

<b>THEY ALL HAVE THEIR</b> <b>RELIGIOUS PRAYERS AND THEY</b>

<b>ALL HAVE THEIR SONGS.</b>

<b>THE ONLY THING THAT</b> <b>SEPARATES WHAT WE BELIEVE</b>

<b>FROM ALL THE RELIGIONS IN</b> <b>THE WORLD IS MIRACLES.</b>

<b>AND THAT'S WHAT T. L. </b> <b>DIDN'T GO TO INDIA</b>

<b>WITH THE FIRST TIME. HE</b> <b>DIDN'T GO WITH THE MIRACLES.</b>

<b>HE WENT TRYING TO CONVINCE</b> <b>THEM,</b>

<b>TRYING TO PERSUADE THEM BY</b> <b>SIMPLY OPENING A BOOK.</b>

<b>BUT YOU SEE, JESUS</b> <b>QUALIFIED HIS LIFE BY</b>

<b>MIRACLES.</b>

<b>HE SAID, "GO AND TELL JOHN</b> <b>THE THINGS THAT YOU SEE</b>

<b>AND HEAR, THE BLIND SEE,</b> <b>THE LAME WALK."</b>

<b>T. L. WENT BACK TO INDIA YEARS</b> <b>LATER AFTER HE HAD GOTTEN</b>

<b>THE REVELATION AND THE</b> <b>UNDERSTANDING THAT GOD</b>

<b>USES MIRACLES TODAY JUST</b> <b>AS HE DID IN BIBLE DAYS.</b>

<b>HE NEVER, JESUS NEVER</b> <b>CHANGES.</b>

<b>AND SO HE WENT BACK WITH</b> <b>THAT AND SHOOK THE WORLD</b>

<b>IN INCREDIBLE WAYS.</b>

<b>TENS OF THOUSANDS OF</b> <b>CHURCHES ARE DOING IT</b>

<b>TODAY.</b>

<b>SID: I WANT TO KNOW WHAT</b> <b>HAPPENED TO YOU BECAUSE</b>

<b>YOU'RE JUST A NICE,</b> <b>NORMAL,</b>

<b>AMERICAN.</b>

<b>YOU HAVE AN EXPERIENCE</b> <b>WITH GOD.</b>

<b>YOU WANT TO SERVE HIM.</b>

<b>HOW DOES SOMEONE GET FROM</b> <b>POINT A TO HAVING</b>

<b>THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN</b> <b>THESE MIRACLE HEALINGS?</b>

<b>MIKE: IT WAS, I GUESS THE</b> <b>BRIEF VERSION THAT I SAW</b>

<b>IN ONE OF T. L. OSBORN'S</b> <b>BOOKS CALLED, "SOUL WINNING"</b>

<b>AND I SAW THE PICTURES,</b> <b>AND I SAW THE CRUSADES,</b>

<b>AND I SAW THE MIRACLE</b> <b>TESTIMONIES.</b>

<b>AND I THOUGHT, I'M GOING</b> <b>TO SPEND MY LIFE GOING TO</b>

<b>THE WORLD AND TELLING</b> <b>PEOPLE THAT JESUS CHRIST</b>

<b>IS ALIVE.</b>

<b>HE'S NOT DEAD.</b>

<b>IT'S NOT ANOTHER RELIGION.</b>

<b>HE'S LIVING TODAY.</b>

<b>AND SO I SAW THAT AND I</b> <b>MADE PLANS.</b>

<b>IT WAS SHORTLY AFTER THAT</b> <b>I FOUND MYSELF IN NIGERIA</b>

<b>WITH ONE OF THE GREAT MEN</b> <b>OF GOD,</b>

<b>RECENTLY WENT HOME TO BE</b> <b>WITH THE LORD.</b>

<b>HIS NAME WAS BENSON</b> <b>IDAHOSA.</b>

<b>SID: I KNEW HIM.</b>

<b>MIKE: POWERFUL MAN.</b>

<b>I JUST, I COULD SPEND ALL</b> <b>DAY TELLING MIRACLE STORIES</b>

<b>OF THINGS ABOUT HIM.</b>

<b>BUT I SAT THERE AND I</b> <b>WATCHED HIM IN CRUSADES,</b>

<b>AND I LIVED WITH HIM IN</b> <b>HIS HOME FOR THREE MONTHS</b>

<b>IN 1984.</b>

<b>AND HE TOOK ME FROM</b> <b>CRUSADE TO CRUSADE,</b>

<b>AND I MET T. L. OSBORN AT</b> <b>THAT TIME, AND I WATCHED</b>

<b>THEM AS THEY PRAYED</b> <b>FOR THE SICK.</b>

<b>AND I WATCHED THE</b> <b>MIRACLES,</b>

<b>AND I WATCHED ALL THESE</b> <b>DIFFERENT THINGS.</b>

<b>AND THEN AS I SAT ON ONE</b> <b>OF HIS CRUSADE PLATFORMS,</b>

<b>AND I WATCHED T.L. OSBORN,</b> <b>AND I WATCHED BENSON IDAHOSA</b>

<b>PREACH AND PRAY FOR THE SICK,</b> <b>AND MIRACLES HAPPENING,</b>

<b>IT WAS LIKE A THOUSAND</b> <b>VOICES BEGAN TO WHIRL ON</b>

<b>THE INSIDE OF MY HEAD: YOU</b> <b>CAN DO THIS.</b>

<b>YOU CAN DO THIS.</b>

<b>YOU'RE GOING TO DO THIS.</b>

<b>YOU'RE GOING TO DO THIS.</b>

<b>AND IT JUST, IT WAS JUST</b> <b>BOMBARDING MY EARS.</b>

<b>AND I WENT BACK IN</b> <b>DECEMBER OF 1984.</b>

<b>I LEFT JANUARY OF '85.</b>

<b>I WENT AND STARTED TO DO</b> <b>MY OWN MIRACLE CRUSADES.</b>

<b>SID: HOW DID YOU START,</b> <b>JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY?</b>

<b>MIKE: WHEN I WAS IN</b> <b>NIGERIA,</b>

<b>I HAD SPENT THOSE THREE</b> <b>MONTHS WITH IDAHOSA AND I</b>

<b>ASKED HIM SEVERAL</b> <b>QUESTIONS THE LAST DAY I</b>

<b>WAS THERE, AND I SAID,</b> <b>"PAPA,</b>

<b>I SAID, "WHAT AM I</b> <b>SUPPOSED TO DO NOW?"</b>

<b>I SAID, "YOU'VE NEVER DONE</b> <b>THIS FOR ANYBODY AND</b>

<b>YOU'VE INVITED ME HERE,</b> <b>AND YOU SAID I NEEDED TO</b>

<b>LEARN HOW TO DO BIG</b> <b>CRUSADES.</b>

<b>WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO</b> <b>NOW?"</b>

<b>HE SAID, "SON, GO DOWN AND</b> <b>DO LIKEWISE."</b>

<b>WELL NOBODY TOLD ME I</b> <b>COULDN'T DO IT.</b>

<b>I JUST, I SAID, OKAY,</b> <b>THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.</b>

<b>AND SO THE NEXT MONTH I</b> <b>GOT ON A PLANE AND WENT TO</b>

<b>THE PHILIPPINES.</b>

<b>DIDN'T KNOW ANYBODY THERE,</b> <b>DIDN'T EVER BEEN THERE</b>

<b>BEFORE.</b>

<b>JESUS JUST SAID GO.</b>

<b>AND SO I WENT THERE AND I</b> <b>HAD A MASSIVE BUDGET OF</b>

<b>$120 FOR MY FIRST CRUSADE.</b>

<b>AND I GOT OVER THERE, AND</b> <b>I MADE A FEW FLYERS,</b>

<b>A FEW POSTERS AND</b> <b>HANDBILLS.</b>

<b>I MADE TWO 15-SECOND RADIO</b> <b>SPOTS ON THIS LITTLE</b>

<b>5-WATT RADIO STATION THAT</b> <b>DIDN'T DO ANYTHING.</b>

<b>SID: YOU DIDN'T HAVE MUCH</b> <b>MONEY.</b>

<b>MIKE: NO, I HAD $120 FOR</b> <b>MY FIRST BUDGET.</b>

<b>SID: $120.</b>

<b>SO HOW MANY PEOPLE CAME TO</b> <b>YOUR FIRST MEETING?</b>

<b>MIKE: IN THAT FIRST</b> <b>CRUSADE,</b>

<b>WE HAD SOMEWHERE NEAR 4000</b> <b>PEOPLE ACCEPT CHRIST.</b>

<b>SID: YOUR FIRST TIME.</b>

<b>HOW OLD WERE YOU?</b>

<b>MIKE: I WAS 22, 23.</b>

<b>SID: TWENTY-TWO YEARS OLD,</b> <b>YOU TAKE A PLANE TO THE</b>

<b>PHILIPPINES, YOU HAVE A</b> <b>LITTLE OVER A HUNDRED</b>

<b>DOLLARS.</b>

<b>YOU PUT UP A COUPLE OF</b> <b>LITTLE FLYERS.</b>

<b>MIKE: BRING THE BLIND,</b> <b>DEAF AND CRIPPLED.</b>

<b>SID: TELL ME YOUR FIRST</b> <b>THOUGHTS.</b>

<b>I MEAN, YOU'RE STILL KIND</b> <b>OF,</b>

<b>WAS THERE A LITTLE FEAR?</b>

<b>MIKE: THERE WASN'T ANY</b> <b>FEAR IN THE BEGINNING.</b>

<b>YOU KNOW WENT OVER THERE.</b>

<b>BENSON IDOHOSA SAID, "SON,</b> <b>GO DOWN AND DO LIKEWISE,</b>

<b>SO I DID.</b>

<b>I COULDN'T MAKE THE NICE</b> <b>COLORFUL POSTERS HE HAD,</b>

<b>BUT I MADE THESE TINY</b> <b>LITTLE POSTERS THAT SAID,</b>

<b>"MIRACLE HEALING CRUSADE.</b>

<b>BRING THE BLIND, THE DEAF</b> <b>AND THE CRIPPLED AND JESUS</b>

<b>WILL HEAL THEM ALL".</b>

<b>SID: DID MANY SICK PEOPLE</b> <b>COME IN?</b>

<b>MIKE: I GOT THERE THE</b> <b>FIRST NIGHT OF MY FIRST</b>

<b>CRUSADE.</b>

<b>I WAS THERE WITH</b> <b>EXCITEMENT AND WHEN I GOT</b>

<b>TO THE FIRST NIGHT I</b> <b>LOOKED AT THOSE PEOPLE,</b>

<b>AND I HAD NEVER SEEN SO</b> <b>MANY SICK PEOPLE ALL MY</b>

<b>LIFE.</b>

<b>I SAID, MY GOD, WHAT HAVE</b> <b>I DONE.</b>

<b>AND THEY WERE CARRYING</b> <b>THEM IN ON STRETCHERS.</b>

<b>THEY WERE LEADING THE</b> <b>BLIND IN.</b>

<b>I SAW WOMEN WITH HUGE</b> <b>GOITERS HANGING OFF OF</b>

<b>THEIR THROATS.</b>

<b>AND I HAD NEVER SEEN SO</b> <b>MANY SICK PEOPLE IN ALL MY</b>

<b>LIFE AS WHEN I SAW THAT</b> <b>FIRST DAY.</b>

<b>SID: YOU KNOW WHAT I'D</b> <b>LIKE TO DO,</b>

<b>I'D LIKE TO SEE A CLIP</b> <b>RIGHT NOW FROM THE</b>

<b>PHILIPPINES, AND THIS IS</b> <b>SOMEONE THAT,</b>

<b>A LADY THAT WAS BORN DEAF</b> <b>AND DUMB.</b>

<b>DO YOU REMEMBER HER?</b>

<b>MIKE: YEAH.</b>

<b>YEAH.</b>

<b>IT WAS A POWERFUL</b> <b>TESTIMONY.</b>

<b>SID: TELL ME ABOUT HER.</b>

<b>MIKE: I'M NOT SURE WHICH</b> <b>ONE THEY'RE SHOWING NOW</b>

<b>BECAUSE THERE WERE SEVERAL</b> <b>IN THIS CLIP.</b>

<b>SID: I'LL TELL YOU WHAT,</b> <b>LET'S JUST SHOW IT RIGHT</b>

<b>NOW.</b>

<b>MIKE: LET'S SHOW IT.</b>

<b>SID: THIS WOMAN FROM THE</b> <b>PHILIPPINES.</b>

<b>[MUSIC♪] </b> <b>NARRATOR: THIS PRECIOUS</b> <b>23-YEAR-OLD</b>

<b>FILIPINO WOMAN WAS BORN</b> <b>DEAF AND DUMB.</b>

<b>SILENCE WAS THE ONLY WORLD</b> <b>SHE HAD KNOWN.</b>

<b>HER FRIEND WHO CAME WITH</b> <b>HER TO THE CRUSADE</b>

<b>TESTIFIED THAT SHE HAD</b> <b>NEVER SPOKEN A WORD IN HER</b>

<b>LIFE.</b>

<b>BUT THIS NIGHT JESUS</b> <b>PROVED HIMSELF ALIVE AS</b>

<b>HER EARS WERE OPENED AND</b> <b>HER TONGUE LOOSED.</b>

<b>SHE SPOKE HER NAME FOR THE</b> <b>VERY FIRST TIME.</b>

<b>TEARS OF OVERWHELMING JOY</b> <b>COVERED HER FACE AS THE</b>

<b>REALITY OF THE MIRACLE</b> <b>DAWNED.</b>

<b>SID: LISTEN,</b> <b>HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A</b>

<b>YOUNG MAN, MIKE FRANCEN</b> <b>STARTS SEEING THESE</b>

<b>MIRACLES AND THEN MAKE A</b> <b>STATEMENT: "STONE ME IF</b>

<b>YOU DON'T SEE MIRACLES."</b>

<b>YOU BETTER HAVE THE GUTS.</b>

<b>I MEAN, YOU'D REALLY</b> <b>BETTER.</b>

<b>CAN YOU PICTURE BEING IN A</b> <b>FOREIGN COUNTRY.</b>

<b>I MEAN, I'M NOT TALKING</b> <b>ABOUT NEW YORK CITY.</b>

<b>I'M TALKING ABOUT A</b> <b>FOREIGN COUNTRY.</b>

<b>"STONE ME IF YOU DON'T SEE</b> <b>MIRACLES."</b>

<b>WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK AND</b> <b>WE'LL FIND OUT IF HE GOT</b>

<b>STONED.</b>

<b>[MUSIC♪]</b>

<b>(SWOOSH SOUND)</b>

<b>WE WILL RETURN TO MORE OF</b> <b>IT'S SUPERNATURAL RIGHT</b>

<b>AFTER THIS.</b>

<b>[MUSIC♪]</b>

<b>SID: HELLO. SID ROTH YOUR</b> <b>INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER.</b>

<b>WHAT COULD POSSESS A YOUNG</b> <b>MAN OUT IN A FOREIGN</b>

<b>COUNTRY, THOUSANDS OF</b> <b>PEOPLE LISTENING TO HIM?</b>

<b>HE COMES OUT AND HE SAYS,</b> <b>"IF YOU DON'T SEE A</b>

<b>LEGITIMATE MIRACLE," I</b> <b>MEAN,</b>

<b>DON'T NOT COME BACK THE</b> <b>NEXT DAY,</b>

<b>"YOU CAN STONE ME."</b>

<b>WERE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?</b>

<b>HOW DID YOU EVEN THINK TO</b> <b>SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT?</b>

<b>YOU WERE TELLING ME</b> <b>SOMETHING ABOUT THE MAN</b>

<b>THAT MENTORED YOU, SO TO</b> <b>SPEAK,</b>

<b>BENSON IDAHOSA, WHO WAS A</b> <b>TREMENDOUS MAN OF GOD IN</b>

<b>AFRICA, NIGERIA.</b>

<b>WHEN DID YOU SEE HIM?</b>

<b>MIKE: THE FIRST TIME IN</b> <b>1984,</b>

<b>WHEN I SAW HIS FIRST</b> <b>CRUSADE,</b>

<b>AND I HAD SEEN THE</b> <b>PICTURES,</b>

<b>BUT IT'S DIFFERENT WHEN</b> <b>YOU'RE THERE.</b>

<b>AND GOD WAS JUST POURING</b> <b>SO MUCH OF MY LIFE AT THAT</b>

<b>TIME.</b>

<b>AND I SAW BENSON IDAHOSA</b> <b>STAND UP,</b>

<b>AND I WENT TO THREE OF HIS</b> <b>CRUSADES,</b>

<b>AND I SAW HIM STAND UP IN</b> <b>ONE OF THE CRUSADES.</b>

<b>AND PEOPLE WERE</b> <b>CHALLENGING HIM.</b>

<b>THEY SAID, OH, THERE'S NO</b> <b>MIRACLES.</b>

<b>AND HE'S HAD INCREDIBLE</b> <b>THINGS THAT GOD HAS USED</b>

<b>HIM TO DO.</b>

<b>ONE TIME THE POLICE</b> <b>BROUGHT,</b>

<b>YOU KNOW, HE HAD TALKED</b> <b>ABOUT HEALING JESUS AND</b>

<b>GOING ALL OVER THE WORLD</b> <b>AND HOW YOU RAISE THE</b>

<b>DEAD.</b>

<b>DURING ONE OF HIS</b> <b>CRUSADES,</b>

<b>THE POLICE THREW A CORPSE</b> <b>ON HIS STAGE TO MOCK HIM</b>

<b>IN FRONT OF ALL THESE</b> <b>PEOPLE.</b>

<b>AND I DON'T KNOW IF IT WAS</b> <b>A GIFT OF FAITH OR</b>

<b>SOMETHING CAME OVER HIM.</b>

<b>AND BENSON LOOKED OVER AT</b> <b>THEM AND JUST PEERED.</b>

<b>I MEAN, HE HAD PIERCING</b> <b>EYES.</b>

<b>AND HE LOOKED AT THEM, AND</b> <b>HE WENT OVER AND GRABBED</b>

<b>THAT CORPSE, AND HE SAID,</b> <b>"IN THE NAME OF JESUS</b>

<b>CHRIST, COME!"</b>

<b>AND IN A MOMENT OF TIME,</b> <b>THAT DEAD PERSON CAME BACK</b>

<b>TO LIFE.</b>

<b>I MEAN, IT'S - SID: WE</b> <b>JEWISH PEOPLE HAVE A WORD</b>

<b>CALLED CHUTZPAH, NERVE.</b>

<b>MIKE: YEAH.</b>

<b>SID: BENSON HAD CHUTZPAH.</b>

<b>MIKE: YEAH.</b>

<b>I SAW SO MANY THINGS LIKE</b> <b>THAT.</b>

<b>I WASN'T THERE THAT</b> <b>PARTICULAR ONE.</b>

<b>WHEN I SAW HIM DO ONE OF</b> <b>THE CRUSADES,</b>

<b>WHEN WE WERE IN A CITY IT</b> <b>WAS TOUGH.</b>

<b>THEY WERE RESISTANT TO THE</b> <b>GOSPEL.</b>

<b>THERE'S A VERY STRONG</b> <b>MUSLIM,</b>

<b>ISLAMIC HOLD IN THE NATION</b> <b>OF NIGERIA.</b>

<b>AND I WAS THERE, AND HE</b> <b>STOOD UP,</b>

<b>AND HE SAID, "IF THERE ARE</b> <b>NO MIRACLES HERE,</b>

<b>HE SAID, "YOU STONE ME.</b>

<b>IF JESUS DOES NOTHING HERE</b> <b>WHEN WE PRAY YOU STONE."</b>

<b>AND I'M WATCHING THIS AS A</b> <b>YOUNG 22-YEAR-OLD MAN.</b>

<b>AND THEN I SAW HIM ON THE</b> <b>SECOND DAY OF THAT CRUSADE</b>

<b>AND THINGS WERE TOUGH, AND</b> <b>HE WAS JUST PREACHING.</b>

<b>AND THERE WAS A PARALYZED</b> <b>WOMAN,</b>

<b>PARALYZED FROM THE NECK</b> <b>DOWN FOR YEARS.</b>

<b>HE SAID, "BRING THAT WOMAN</b> <b>UP ON THE STAGE."</b>

<b>AND I'M JUST ON THE EDGE</b> <b>OF MY SEAT,</b>

<b>WHAT IS GOING ON HERE.</b>

<b>SID: I MEAN, IF YOU'RE</b> <b>GOING TO PICK SOMEONE,</b>

<b>PICK SOMEONE WITH A</b> <b>HEADACHE.</b>

<b>MIKE: YEAH.</b>

<b>ANY BACKACHES HERE, YOU</b> <b>KNOW,</b>

<b>JUST COME UP HERE.</b>

<b>HE SAID, "BRING THAT ONE."</b>

<b>SHE WAS LAYING THERE,</b> <b>COULDN'T MOVE HER FINGERS.</b>

<b>"CARRY THAT WOMAN."</b>

<b>AND THEY FLOPPED HER UP</b> <b>THERE JUST LIKE A BAG OF</b>

<b>ROCKS.</b>

<b>SHE LAY THERE ON THE</b> <b>STAGE,</b>

<b>COULDN'T MOVE.</b>

<b>AND HE BEGINS AND HE SAYS,</b> <b>"I'M GOING TO PRAY."</b>

<b>HE SAYS, "IF THIS WOMAN</b> <b>WALKS YOU'LL KNOW THAT</b>

<b>JESUS IS THE CHRIST AND IF</b> <b>SHE DOESN'T YOU'LL KNOW</b>

<b>THAT I'M A FALSE PROPHET."</b>

<b>AND SO I'M JUST, I'M ABOUT</b> <b>READY TO RUN OFF THE STAGE</b>

<b>OR SOMETHING AT THAT</b> <b>POINT.</b>

<b>SID: THAT'S RIGHT.</b>

<b>IT COULD BE CONTAGIOUS.</b>

<b>MIKE: OH YEAH.</b>

<b>AND SO HE TAKES HER BY THE</b> <b>HAND AND HE SAYS,</b>

<b>"IN THE NAME OF JESUS, GET</b> <b>UP AND WALK."</b>

<b>AND HE ALMOST PULLED HER</b> <b>ARM OUT OF THE SOCKET.</b>

<b>HE SAID, "GET UP AND</b> <b>WALK!"</b>

<b>AND SHE GOT UP, AND SHE</b> <b>STARTED WALKING,</b>

<b>AND SHE STARTED DANCING,</b> <b>AND THE CROWD,</b>

<b>I MEAN, THE PLACE WENT</b> <b>WILD.</b>

<b>THERE WAS PROBABLY 40 OR</b> <b>50,000 PEOPLE</b>

<b>IN THAT FIELD</b> <b>AND THEY WENT WILD.</b>

<b>SID: YOU REALIZE WHAT</b> <b>WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF SHE</b>

<b>HAD FALLEN DOWN AND</b> <b>COLLAPSED.</b>

<b>MIKE: THANK GOD SHE</b> <b>WALKED.</b>

<b>SID: I MEAN, CAN YOU</b> <b>IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAVE - </b>

<b>MIKE: THANK GOD SHE</b> <b>WALKED.</b>

<b>SID: I GUESS THERE'S</b> <b>NOTHING MORE YOU CAN SAY</b>

<b>THAN THAT.</b>

<b>SO YOU HAD SEEN THAT.</b>

<b>SO WHAT DID YOU DO?</b>

<b>MIKE: MY FIRST CRUSADE,</b> <b>YOU KNOW,</b>

<b>SEE, I JUST REMEMBERED</b> <b>BENSON'S WORDS WHEN HE</b>

<b>SAID, "SON GO DOWN AND DO</b> <b>LIKEWISE."</b>

<b>AND JESUS SAID, "GO INTO</b> <b>ALL THE WORLD."</b>

<b>AND HE SAID, "THESE SIGNS</b> <b>SHALL FOLLOW."</b>

<b>AND SO MY FIRST CRUSADE, I</b> <b>GET TO THE FIRST NIGHT AND</b>

<b>I'M LOOKING, AND I'M</b> <b>SEEING ALL THESE SICK</b>

<b>PEOPLE AND I SAID, MY GOD.</b>

<b>AND YOU ASKED, WERE YOU</b> <b>AFRAID,</b>

<b>ARE YOU SCARED, ARE YOU</b> <b>CONCERNED.</b>

<b>I SAW ALL THE SICK PEOPLE</b> <b>AT FIRST AND I RAN BEHIND</b>

<b>THE STAGE, THIS FAITH MAN,</b> <b>YOU KNOW.</b>

<b>I RAN BEHIND THE STAGE OF</b> <b>THAT FIRST CRUSADE AND I</b>

<b>SAID, "MY GOD, WHAT HAVE I</b> <b>DONE."</b>

<b>I SAID, "JESUS, I'M SO</b> <b>SORRY.</b>

<b>I'LL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN."</b>

<b>I JUST SAID, "GET ME OUT</b> <b>OF THIS,</b>

<b>GOD."</b>

<b>BECAUSE I WAS SCARED.</b>

<b>I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.</b>

<b>SID: I CAN UNDERSTAND.</b>

<b>MIKE: I TOLD THEM TO COME</b> <b>AND THEY CAME.</b>

<b>I GUESS I WAS HALFWAY</b> <b>EXPECTING THEY WOULDN'T.</b>

<b>THEN THE THOUGHT CAME TO</b> <b>ME.</b>

<b>I DIDN'T COME HERE IN THE</b> <b>NAME OF A CHURCH.</b>

<b>I DIDN'T COME WITH THE</b> <b>NAME OF A RELIGION.</b>

<b>I DIDN'T COME ON MY OWN</b> <b>NAME.</b>

<b>I CAME IN THE NAME OF</b> <b>JESUS CHRIST.</b>

<b>AND WHEN THAT THOUGHT CAME</b> <b>TO MY MIND,</b>

<b>I GRABBED THE MICROPHONE</b> <b>AND I PREACHED FROM</b>

<b>BENSON'S MESSAGES, AND I</b> <b>PREACHED LIKE I PREACHED A</b>

<b>THOUSAND TIMES BEFORE.</b>

<b>AND THEN I BEGAN TO MAKE</b> <b>STATEMENTS LIKE I HEARD</b>

<b>HIM MAKE.</b>

<b>"JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD</b> <b>AND WE'RE GOING TO PRAY</b>

<b>FOR THE SICK, AND IF THE</b> <b>SICK GET HEALED,</b>

<b>YOU'LL KNOW HE'S THE</b> <b>CHRIST.</b>

<b>BUT IF THEY DON'T, YOU GO</b> <b>AHEAD AND YOU STONE ME AND</b>

<b>YOU RUN ME OUT OF YOUR</b> <b>TOWN."</b>

<b>SID: THIS WAS YOUR FIRST</b> <b>MEETING.</b>

<b>MIKE: FIRST CRUSADE.</b>

<b>SID: OY VEY, I CAN IMAGINE</b> <b>HOW YOU ARE RIGHT NOW.</b>

<b>SO WHAT HAPPENED?</b>

<b>I MEAN, YOU TOLD ME THERE</b> <b>WERE SOME VERY SICK PEOPLE</b>

<b>IN THE CROWD.</b>

<b>MIKE: THE FIRST PERSON TO</b> <b>TESTIFY WAS A MAN WHO HAD</b>

<b>BEEN IN A WAR AND A SHELL</b> <b>WENT OFF,</b>

<b>AND LET HIM TOTALLY DEAF</b> <b>FOR 35 YEARS.</b>

<b>I PRAYED LIKE I SAW HIM</b> <b>PRAY.</b>

<b>I PREACHED HIS MESSAGE.</b>

<b>I SHARED HIS TESTIMONIES.</b>

<b>FIRST MAN, TOTALLY DEAF 35</b> <b>YEARS.</b>

<b>THE NEXT MAN WAS A MAN WHO</b> <b>HAD NOT WALKED AND HAD NOT</b>

<b>SPOKEN IN SEVEN YEARS AND</b> <b>HE GOT UP,</b>

<b>AND HE WAS WALKING AND</b> <b>TALKING,</b>

<b>INCREDIBLE THINGS.</b>

<b>SO I COME BACK THE SECOND</b> <b>NIGHT OF THE CRUSADE AND</b>

<b>I'M JUST, YOU KNOW, I'M</b> <b>FILLED WITH BOLDNESS AND</b>

<b>CONFIDENCE, AND PROBABLY</b> <b>SOME STUPIDITY,</b>

<b>BUT THANK GOD, HE SEES</b> <b>PASS OUR STUPIDITY</b>

<b>SOMETIMES.</b>

<b>AND I REMEMBER BENSON,</b> <b>WHILE I WAS PREACHING,</b>

<b>I REMEMBER, ALL OF A</b> <b>SUDDEN THIS THOUGHT CAME,</b>

<b>YEAH, HE PICKED UP THAT</b> <b>CRIPPLED WOMAN.</b>

<b>AND SO I REMEMBER SEEING A</b> <b>WOMAN CAME.</b>

<b>SHE HAD TWO CRUTCHES.</b>

<b>SHE HAD A MAN ON EACH ARM</b> <b>THAT HELPED HER GET THERE</b>

<b>AND I WATCHED HER COME IN</b> <b>THAT NIGHT.</b>

<b>AND SO WHILE I'M</b> <b>PREACHING,</b>

<b>ALL OF A SUDDEN I REMEMBER</b> <b>WHAT BENSON DID.</b>

<b>AND I LOOKED AND I SAID,</b> <b>"BRING THAT WOMAN UP ON</b>

<b>THE STAGE."</b>

<b>SHE, HER LEGS WERE DEAD.</b>

<b>THEY WERE USELESS.</b>

<b>SID: DEAD, DEAD.</b>

<b>MIKE: DEAD, DEAD.</b>

<b>AND I SAID, "BRING HER UP</b> <b>ON THE STAGE."</b>

<b>AND I SAID, "PUT HER IN</b> <b>THIS CHAIR."</b>

<b>SO SHE'S SITTING THERE AND</b> <b>ALL OF A SUDDEN I'M</b>

<b>STARTING TO MAKE AN ISSUE.</b>

<b>I SAID, "I'M GOING TO</b> <b>PRAY."</b>

<b>AND I SAID, "IF THIS WOMAN</b> <b>WALKS YOU WILL KNOW THAT</b>

<b>JESUS IS THE CHRIST AND IF</b> <b>SHE DOESN'T YOU'LL KNOW</b>

<b>THAT I'M A FALSE PROPHET."</b>

<b>AND I'M JUST LIKE BENSON</b> <b>DID.</b>

<b>SID: WEREN'T YOU FEARFUL?</b>

<b>MIKE: AT THAT POINT I</b> <b>WASN'T.</b>

<b>SID: SO OKAY, WHAT</b> <b>HAPPENED?</b>

<b>AND YOU'D BETTER TELL ME.</b>

<b>MIKE: I GRABBED HER BY THE</b> <b>HAND AND IF YOU BUY MY</b>

<b>VIDEO TAPE YOU CAN SEE</b> <b>EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED.</b>

<b>SID: WHAT HAPPENED?</b>

<b>MIKE: I GRABBED HER BY THE</b> <b>HAND.</b>

<b>SID: I'LL BUY YOUR TAPE.</b>

<b>MIKE: IT'S NOT ON TAPE.</b>

<b>IT WAS MY FIRST CRUSADE.</b>

<b>I GRABBED HER HAND AND</b> <b>SAID,</b>

<b>"IN THE NAME OF JESUS</b> <b>CHRIST,</b>

<b>GET UP AND WALK."</b>

<b>AND I PULLED HER.</b>

<b>THANK GOD, SHE GOT UP AND</b> <b>WALKED.</b>

<b>SHE WALKED.</b>

<b>SHE STARTED TROTTING BACK</b> <b>AND FORTH ACROSS THE</b>

<b>STAGE.</b>

<b>THE AUDIENCE WENT WILD, AN</b> <b>INCREDIBLE MIRACLE.</b>

<b>AND THEN WHEN YOU GIVE AN</b> <b>ALTAR CALL AND ASK PEOPLE,</b>

<b>"HOW MANY OF YOU WANT TO</b> <b>ACCEPT CHRIST,</b>

<b>AFTER THEY SEE SOMETHING</b> <b>LIKE THAT HAPPENING,</b>

<b>THEIR HEARTS,</b> <b>WHOLEHEARTEDLY.</b>

<b>SID: OKAY.</b>

<b>I WANT YOU TO SEE</b> <b>SOMETHING LIKE THAT</b>

<b>HAPPEN.</b>

<b>WE'RE GOING TO TAKE YOU TO</b> <b>A MIKE FRANCEN CAMPAIGN</b>

<b>THAT IS IN THAILAND, AND</b> <b>AS A MATTER OF FACT,</b>

<b>THIS IS SOMEONE THAT NEEDS</b> <b>TO LEARN HOW TO WALK ALSO.</b>

<b>NARRATOR: FOR 11 YEARS,</b>

<b>THIS WOMAN HAD NOT WALKED.</b>

<b>THE HEAD MAN OF HER</b> <b>VILLAGE BROUGHT HER TO THE</b>

<b>CAMPAIGN WHERE SHE</b> <b>RECEIVED A MIRACLE.</b>

<b>HE VERIFIED HER STORY IN</b> <b>THE NEW FOUND MIRACLE.</b>

<b>HER FIRST STEPS MAY HAVE</b> <b>BEEN SHAKY,</b>

<b>BUT THE SMILE ON HER FACE</b> <b>TESTIFIED OF THE AMAZING</b>

<b>MIRACLE.</b>

<b>SHE IS WALKING.</b>

<b>HER JOY HAS SPREAD ACROSS</b> <b>THE ENTIRE MASS OF PEOPLE,</b>

<b>WHO WITNESSED HER FIRST</b> <b>STEPS IN 11 YEARS.</b>

<b>THE CRIPPLES ARE WALKING.</b>

<b>SID: WHAT DOES</b> <b>IT FEEL LIKE,</b>

<b>MIKE FRANCEN, WHAT DOES IT</b> <b>FEEL LIKE TO SEE SOMEONE</b>

<b>LIKE HER WALK THAT</b> <b>COULDN'T WALK.</b>

<b>THE BLIND SEE, THE DEAF</b> <b>HEAR.</b>

<b>WHAT IS IT LIKE?</b>

<b>MIKE: YOU KNOW, I'VE BEEN</b> <b>DOING THIS FOR 14 YEARS</b>

<b>AND THE MIRACLES NEVER GET</b> <b>OLD.</b>

<b>THE TESTIMONIES NEVER GET</b> <b>OLD.</b>

<b>I LOOK AT THAT AND I LOOK</b> <b>IN THEIR EYES AND I SEE</b>

<b>JESUS IN THEIR EYES.</b>

<b>AND YOU LOOK AT IT, FOR 11</b> <b>YEARS,</b>

<b>SHE HAD NOT STOOD ON THOSE</b> <b>LEGS.</b>

<b>YOU SAY, WELL SHE WASN'T</b> <b>RUNNING.</b>

<b>THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SHE</b> <b>STOOD IN 11 YEARS,</b>

<b>LET ALONE WALK.</b>

<b>AND THE HEAD MAN, THAT WAS</b> <b>LIKE THE CHIEF OF THAT</b>

<b>VILLAGE CAME.</b>

<b>THEY JUMPED IN THE BACK OF</b> <b>A PICKUP TRUCK.</b>

<b>THEY HEARD ABOUT THE</b> <b>CRUSADE,</b>

<b>THEY CAME.</b>

<b>AND THIS WOMAN PRAYED.</b>

<b>SHE HAD NOT STOOD ON HER</b> <b>LEGS FOR 11 YEARS.</b>

<b>SHE HAD NOT WALKED IN 11</b> <b>YEARS,</b>

<b>NOT ONE STEP, NOT STANDING</b> <b>FOR ONE SECOND,</b>

<b>AND THERE SHE IS.</b>

<b>AFTER WE PRAYED A MASS</b> <b>PRAYER FOR THE SICK,</b>

<b>WE SAID, "NOW DO WHAT YOU</b> <b>COULDN'T DO."</b>

<b>ALL OF A SUDDEN, SHE'S</b> <b>THERE WALKING.</b>

<b>AND WE WENT ON LATER AND</b> <b>SHE WALKED BACK TO THAT</b>

<b>TRUCK.</b>

<b>SHE WALKED, INCREDIBLE</b> <b>MIRACLE.</b>

<b>SID: WHAT KIND OF MIRACLE</b> <b>DO YOU NEED?</b>

<b>MAYBE IT IS WALKING.</b>

<b>MAYBE IT'S HEARING.</b>

<b>MAYBE IT'S THE HEART.</b> <b>[MUSIC♪]</b>

<b>MAYBE IT'S CANCER IN YOUR</b> <b>BODY.</b>

<b>MAYBE IT'S DIABETES.</b>

<b>MAYBE IT'S HIGH BLOOD</b> <b>PRESSURE.</b>

<b>MAYBE IT'S PAINS IN YOUR</b> <b>BODY,</b>

<b>YOUR BACK AND YOUR NECK.</b>

<b>DO YOU REMEMBER THE VERY</b> <b>FIRST MESSAGE THAT MIKE</b>

<b>GAVE?</b>

<b>HE SAID, "I DONíT COME IN</b> <b>MY OWN MY NAME.</b>

<b>I DON'T COME IN THE NAME</b> <b>OF A RELIGION.</b>

<b>I DON'T COME IN THE NAME</b> <b>OF A PARTICULAR GROUP.</b>

<b>I COME IN THE NAME OF</b> <b>JESUS THE MESSIAH,</b>

<b>THE ANOINTED ONE."</b>

<b>AND IT'S IN HIS NAME YOU</b> <b>ARE HEALED BECAUSE THE</b>

<b>WORD OF GOD SAYS, "BY HIS</b> <b>STRIPES,</b>

<b>BY HIS STRIPES, YOU WERE</b> <b>HEALED."</b>

<b>AND THEN MIKE SAID, "DO</b> <b>SOMETHING YOU COULDN'T DO</b>

<b>BEFORE."</b>

<b>SO I SAY TO YOU, IN THE</b> <b>NAME OF JESUS OF NAZARETH,</b>

<b>DO SOMETHING YOU COULD NOT</b> <b>DO BEFORE.</b>

<b>BEND THAT ELBOW.</b>

<b>MOVE THAT HEAD.</b>

<b>THEY'RE A THING OF THE</b> <b>PAST.</b>

<b>EYES ARE BEING HEALED, THE</b> <b>GUMS,</b>

<b>WHATEVER YOU NEED.</b>

<b>IT DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER</b> <b>I SAID IT OR NOT BECAUSE</b>

<b>HE PAID THE PRICE FOR ALL.</b>

<b>HE'S IRRESPECTIVE OF</b> <b>PERSONS.</b>

<b>IT'S YOURS.</b>

<b>IT'S YOURS.</b>

<b>IT'S YOURS.</b>

<b>DO SOMETHING AND PRAISE</b> <b>GOD.</b>

<b>LIFT LIKE YOUR HANDS LIKE</b> <b>KING DAVID DID,</b>

<b>ALL THE WAY ABOVE YOUR</b> <b>HEAD.</b>

<b>LIFT HOLY HANDS TO GOD AND</b> <b>YOU'LL SEE THAT HE IS A</b>

<b>GOD THAT DOES MIRACLES.</b>

Healthcare Is a Human Right—Don't Let Economics Tell You Otherwise | Nicole Hassoun - Duration: 5:37.

Several years ago the World Health Organization declared that it wasn't cost-effective to

help people get treatment for drug-resistant tuberculosis.

And there was an organization called Partners in Health that simply refused to accept this

claim they said we're going to do whatever it takes to help these people.

So they came up with a program for treating drug-resistant tuberculosis in some of the

world's most conflict-ridden, poorest places.

And they succeeded in doing it they had very good treatment outcomes.

So they thought creatively about how to come up with treatment programs that worked and

as a result funding for drug resistant TB increased spectacularly, and now many people

around the world have treatment.

So what did they do?

I think what they did is they have this virtue, which requires three things.

First, that we commit to fulfilling human rights.

Second, that we think creatively or imagine ways of doing that.

And finally, that we act to do so.

So let me explain the virtue of creative resolve a little bit more and hopefully you'll see

why I think it's really important.

So first to have the virtue one has to question evidence against the possibility of fulfilling

human rights.

We can do this in many ways so we can question the source, reliability or implications of

that evidence.

It's possible to acquiesce too quickly in the face of evidence that it's impossible

to help people, or to be so pigheaded that we refuse to accept the constraints of the

given.

The second thing that we need to do is I think consider all of the options on the table and

then use our imagination to come up with new options.

Finally, we should act to fulfill human rights.

And this requires a measure of grit, will or resoluteness.

We can't be inflexible and persist even when it is actually impossible to fulfill

rights, but at the same time we shouldn't be complacent about it.

Since change is difficult, people who don't think that it's possible or desirable to

fulfill human rights probably won't try hard to do, so hope is important for the virtue

of creative resolve.

Hope is simply believing something that one desires is possible but not certain.

Still, even when we lack a kind of hope I think we should have the virtue of creative

resolve as long as there is not conclusive evidence that fulfilling human rights isn't

possible.

So the kind of hope we need is a radical hope.

In the face of uncertainty we must persist and exercise our moral imaginations to help

people meet their basic needs.

But the reason we should have creative resolve is this: the ground for the human rights is

protecting everybody's ability to live a dignified human life, and it's really important

that we do that so we should try hard.

I think the imperative to try hard is particularly compelling given that there's a lot of psychological

evidence that people don't try hard enough.

They tend to search not far enough for solutions to problems, and many people seem to have

a narrow view of possibility and feasibility, assuming tight time frames and financial constraints.

When we imagine ourselves succeeding in tasks we're often more likely to do so, perhaps

because our imagination spurs a sense of agency and lets us set plans for the future and act

to achieve them.

The crux of my disagreement with critics of the human right to health who think we have

to ration and that the human right has to tell us how to do that is this: I don't

think that's what the human right to health has to do or even that it should, rather I

think it does something much more important for us I think it inspires us to do our best

to help everyone meet their basic needs.

Okay.

But if we do have to ration here's what I think, I think creative resolve can help

us do that.

I think it can help us find better ways of helping more people.

We can't, though, simply build hospitals in the city rather than also in the countryside

because it's most cost-effective to do that.

Everybody has a human right to health and if we think creatively enough about how to

do it, we may be able to help everybody.

Okay.

So there's two sides to this virtue, on the one side we should try very hard to help

people fulfill their human rights.

On the other side we don't have to try when it's impossible or impermissible to do that.

But I'm going to stress and I have been stressing the positive or commitment side

of the virtue for this reason: millions of people around the world are suffering and

dying every year from poverty related causes, and it's not as if there's millions of

people trying to help them.

I believe we need to try harder, try harder, try harder.

I think we need to find both the resources and the political will to do this.

And like Martin Luther King, we should refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt.

New Apple iOS Will DESTROY Your iPhone - Don't Install iOS 11! - Duration: 2:38.

You may or may not have noticed that the new IOs update is causing a lot of problems.

If you haven't updated yet, you may want to wait.

More on this today on IO.

This is infom overload, where we overload you with information.

I'm charlotte, and if this is your first time here, please take a quick moment to subscribe.

So who's updated to IOS 11.3?

Are you experiencing problems?

Let me know in the comments below.

Apple is having a hard time getting IOs 11 right, because they just released their third

bug fix in 3 weeks since releasing the new operating system.

You would think after a 3rd update, apple would have gotten its act together, but people

are still experiencing issues.

Yes, the new update has some really cool features, but if I were you, I would wait.

Here's why, The update drains your battery extremely quickly.

After testing, all iphones died after less than 5 hours of continuous screen usage.

Users contacting apple support on twitter have reported that their batteries are draining

as they type tweets.

Other users are reporting that their iphones have frozen and they stopped working completely.

This is especially true for users with the iphone 6 and 6s.

Another problem being reported is that apps will become extremely slow, and they will

crash a lot more often.

According to Wandera, users who updated to IOS 11 experienced battery life declines of

60 percent.

So why is this happening?

Well the update is meant for phones with 64 bit processers, so if you have an older phone

that runs on a 32 bit processer, your phone isn't going to work properly.

This is apple's way of forcing you to upgrade to a more powerful phone.

So guys, if you're thinking of updating, just don't do it.

Because once you update to IOS 11, from IOS 10, there's no turning back.

I would strongly recommend you wait for IOS 11.1, which is currently in beta testing and

will likely launch with the release of the iphone 10 in late fall.

According to yahoo finance, 11.2 will dramatically improve battery life.

People who have installed the beta version experienced 2-3 hours of extra screen life,

with the iphone 8 experiencing over 4 hours of extra screen life.

COMMENTS David cena – and this is why android is

better.

Iphone is literally only relevant because people want to show off or be cool.

i personally don't feel that way.

I can always tell when someone is using an android through instagram stories.

Androids lag like nobody's business.

I am not about that life.

Vloger 24 – imagine if the iphone 8 split open and 1000 potatoes came out.

Ummm that would be bad but also good?

We've come to the end of the video, If you guys are interested in checking out some more

iphone news, check out this video, the iphone 8's are splitting open.

That's it for me, later taters.

Dropping the Hammer - Jack Marshall Can't Do This - Webseries - Episode 13 - Duration: 6:17.

We have a problem.

After the incidents in the last video,

I decided I would run the camera in the library all night to see if I could pick up anything and...

Success!

Well, I'm not happy about it but,

you know what, just take a look.

[muffled footsteps]

It's creepy, right?

Like spine-tingling, hair-raising

I didn't sleep all night once I saw that video kind of creepy.

If that's House on the video, then why is he sneaking around at 2:00 a.m. in the dark?

And if it's not House? Who is it?

I think it's time I put on my detective hat.

I don't have a hat, so work with me.

P. I. Jack Marshall on the case.

These are for your friend, you say?

Donni. She's my best friend and my cousin on my mom's side who's - -

- -doesn't matter.

She's on a research expedition in northern Alaska and there's nothing to do up there, so...

I'm not sure why she'd want to know about me.

Well, you, the house, well the actual house, the whole situation.

So, you said that you've been working for my in for almost five years.

Yes, yes, that's correct.

(O.S.) What's that?

Um, I said how long have you worked for the estate?

About five or six years.

You said there's no heat coming out of here at all?

No, doesn't feel like it but I haven't used it until now.

You know, since it's getting colder I wanted to get it fixed.

So, what's your typical day like?

Not very interesting, I'm afraid.

I go somewhere, I fix something. Go somewhere else, fix another thing.

It usually involves a trip to the market and in the post office and, um...

Sometimes, I just sit in my truck. so how many

So, how many people would you say have business with the estate?

A half a dozen, perhaps.

Really?

The cleaners, the postman - -

The cleaners?

Once a week.

Uh, when would you say they come?

Before your awake, I'm afraid.

So, how often would you say you're here for maintenance?

(O.S.) Whenever your man calls me. I'm not on a schedule.

After brushing my teeth, I check all the doors and windows in the house including the cellar.

Generally speaking?

Once, twice a week.

Mr. Morgan, he's here nearly every day of the week.

Is he? Oh, that reminds me.

I found this the other day. You think it's his?

Why, I can't say for sure. I could ask him if you'd like.

Oh, no, no, I got this.

I came across this earlier in the week, is it yours?

Mine? No. I have my own.

Oh, wow, that's so shiny. It's, just, brand-new.

Well, this must belong to the house then.

I try to be in bed by 10:30 each night but,

if I'm reading an especially good book like Walden - -

Oh, you know what, I think we have more than enough.

Nope, yep, we got it.

Heaters back up and running.

You're a miracle worker.

Been fixing things a long time.

I'll bet you have.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out when something's been broken on purpose.

I don't know if I follow.

Been thinking about that brick that came through your kitchen window.

Really?

Someone would have to be awfully close to bus that thing through the glass.

Mm-hmm.

If I were you? I wouldn't feel safe here.

Some might think twice about being a sitting duck.

Well, you're only a sitting doc if you choose to be.

So, thanks for fixing the heater.

Jack.

Okay, so, what did we learn?

The hammer is definitely Morgan's.

The tags are practically still on his new one.

So is that him on the video?

I don't know. But he definitely caught on to my little stunt with the pipes.

The real question is, what is he looking for?

And House is either clueless or an accomplished liar.

Although I don't know what he would lie about. He's so boring.

And the more people that have access to the house the harder it is to keep an eye on everybody.

Although at this point I think I trust the faceless cleaning crew more than I trust Morgan or House.

And in the interest of not being a sitting duck,

I think it's time for some upgrades.

This little operation is getting a surveillance package.

Although I do have to figure out how to

install the equipment without being seen.

Something tells me the middle of the night might not be our safest bet.

But, once the cameras are up, I think we'll have a better understanding of who's in the house

and what they're up to.

Or we'll have exclusive access to House's weekly musings on Thoreau.

Win-win?

you

Clinton Campaign Revealed To Be Funder Of Russian "Golden Shower" Dossier On Trump - Duration: 5:29.

According to a new report from the Washington Post on Tuesday evening, it was the Clinton

campaign and the DNC itself that helped fund, basically pay for, that Christopher Steele

Russian dossier about Donald Trump and his alleged golden showers and many other very

important claims in there.

Here's the thing: We actually knew earlier this year.

The New York Times had reported that Democrats had indeed funded this particular report,

so the new Washington Post revelations were not that groundbreaking.

The only difference is that the New York Times had reported earlier this year that Democratic

donors had specifically funded the dossier, whereas the new Washington Post report says

no, it was actually people within the Clinton campaign, specifically Clinton campaign lawyer,

Mark Elias.

Another thing that we found out was that, initially, this dossier was actually funded,

Fusion GPS, the group that hired Christopher Steele to do this, was originally funded by

Republicans in an attempt to basically stop Trump from running for office.

Once Donald Trump secured the nomination, the Republicans thought, well, not much we

can do at this point.

We're not going to fund it anymore, so the Democrats then stepped in and said, well,

hold up, we still want this, so they took over paying the bills.

At this point, we actually do have both a consortium of Republican and Democrats who

funded this information to try to take down the Trump campaign.

Furthermore, with the exception of the golden shower accusation within the dossier, most

of the claims that have been made from the dossier have, in fact, been confirmed.

For example, the fact that a Russian diplomat working in D.C. was actually a spy for the

Russian government.

That has been confirmed along with several other claims made in the dossier.

Right now, Republicans all over the country are freaking out, saying this is some kind

of treasonous activity, we knew the Democrats were behind it, they're the ones who faked

this.

But hold up, nobody said anything about this report being faked.

Nobody said that the claims made in here were not accurate or well-researched.

In fact, that is one of the things that Bob Mueller, special prosecutor, is actually looking

into.

As I just said, a lot of the claims have already been confirmed.

Funding opposition research is something that all major campaigns do in the United States.

They used an American company, Fusion GPS, so there's no kind of collusion thing like

there is with the Trump Administration.

Essentially, this new Washington Post report tells us a lot of things that actually, when

you think about it, do not matter.

It does not change the validity of some of the claims made within the report.

It does not prove any kind of illegal activity on the part of the DNC or the Clinton campaign,

and it doesn't vindicate Donald Trump's claim last week that the Democrats, the FBI and

Russia were somehow behind fabricating the dossier because, again, so far we haven't

been able to confirm or deny that anything in there was fabricated.

Republican needs to calm down a little bit.

They haven't been vindicated in any of their claims.

All they know now is that, yeah, the Democrats funded it because that's what campaigns do.

I don't want to come across as an apologist for the DNC or the Clinton campaign but, technically,

legally speaking, based on all the reports and everything we see, they didn't anything

wrong in this particular instance, and they didn't even use the dossier to try to take

Trump down.

John McCain, in fact, is the one who handed the dossier over to James Comey so, again,

kind of goes back to Republicans.

It's an interesting story to say the least but, as of right now, there's nothing necessarily

too new that we've learned from it, and there's no evidence whatsoever of any kind of illegal

activity on behalf of the Clinton campaign.

All we know at this point is that both Clinton and Trump were just two people who were absolutely

so desperate to be President of the United States that they would turn to any source,

any information that they could, in order to win that office.

That's about the only thing we can truly confirm at this point about what both the Clinton

campaign did and about what the Trump campaign did with regards to who they met with, who

was in that meeting with Don, Jr. and that Russian lawyer and what they really talked

about.

Two people, who desperately wanted to be President of the United States, no matter what they

had to do to win that office.

Top 10 ABANDONED PLACES You SHOULDN'T Visit (Urban Exploration) - Duration: 9:40.

Hey YouTube, Jim here!

Welcome to Top10Archive!

Just how brave is the urban explorer within you?

Can you stomach the empty halls of an asylum or the deepest reaches of hospitals long-since

shut down?

No matter how brave you may be, there are abandoned places around the world you should

avoid, relics overtaken by time and or claimed by nefarious groups.

These ten neglected places should be at the top of your list of areas to avoid – just

as they're at the top of ours.

Don't gear up for an expedition to these deserted places before subscribing and clicking

the bell.

If you've been to or know of any other abandoned locations that should be avoided, leave us

a comment and don't forget to give the video a like.

10.

The Domes, Casa Grande, Arizona Featured on an episode of Ghost Adventures,

The Domes of Casa Grande are a series of unique, UFO-like structures that were the start of

a facility intended to be used for computer manufacturing.

Partway through construction, the project was abandoned and the unusual buildings were

left to crumble in the desert sun.

Beyond the safety hazard the structures pose, if you believe what the Ghost Adventures crew

has to say, these domes are a breeding ground for evil.

Even if you scoff at their claims of demonic activity, locals largely believe that the

secluded location has made them an epicenter for cultist activity and witchcraft.

9.

Kolmanskop, Namibia As much as we'd love to encourage you to

visit the abandoned ruins of the sand-swallowed town of Kolmanskop in the Namibian desert,

we couldn't do so in good conscience.

It's not that the South African Germanic town is rife with dangerous entities or home

to sacrificial rituals, but has instead fallen victim to the persistence of Mother Nature.

The structures that one stood proud within the early 20th-century mining town have crumbled

through years of neglect, some filled nearly to the ceiling with soft desert sand.

As fascinating as it would be to experience the final days of this diamond-obsessed ghost

town, building instability may make the experience more dangerous than it's worth.

8.

Craco, Italy Once a bustling village in Basilicata, Italy,

the now-abandoned village of Craco still towers over the nearby grassy plains.

From a distance, the towering hilltop community looks less like a home for people and more

like a breeding ground for trapped souls.

Potential paranormal inhabitants aside, the structures at Craco aren't to be trusted,

especially after the landslides, earthquakes, and floods that struck the village in the

1960s.

Guided tours are available to showcase some of the safer and sturdier parts of town that

you should stick to exploring.

Potential building instability and the whispers of residents long-gone make the bulk of this

Italian village worth avoiding.

7.

Michigan Central Station, Detroit, MI Thanks to a recent installation of new windows,

the exterior of the once proud hub of Detroit's passenger train hides the grim truth of what

lies within the walls of the early 20th-century station.

From 1913 to 1988, the station welcomed countless passengers, but today, much like the city

of Detroit, it's little more than a breeding ground of bad decisions and hidden dangers.

The striking architecture is still there, hidden beneath layers of graffiti and rubble

coating the ground.

Consider you just don't know who may be calling the abandoned building home or what

you'd find beneath the debris, we recommend seeing this building from afar… like here

on Top10Archive.

6.

Ryugyong Hotel, Pyongyang, North Korea Oh, we're sorry, are the nicknames "Hotel

of Doom" and "Phantom Hotel" not deterring enough to keep you from wanting to access

this unfinished 1,080' (330 m)-tall skyscraper?

Started in 1987, construction on the Pyongyang pyramid hotel was met with numerous obstacles,

including issues with building materials, an economic crisis after the fall of the Soviet

Union, and methods used during construction.

The building is still in a partial state today, though military personnel was observed on

sight in mid-2017.

Even if you could get access, questionable building tactics may be a good reason to avoid

exploring the incomplete hotel.

5.

Oradour, Haute-Vienne, France If you kept up with your World War II tragedies,

then you may recognize the French village of Oradour-sur-Glane as the site of the Waffen-SS

company massacre.

The remnants of the old village remain to remind of the 642 lives that were ended at

the hands of the Nazi company.

Considering the magnitude of the events of June 10th, 1944, the energy around the crumbling

memorial must be intense.

Though the massacre happened over 73 years ago, a walk through Oradour requires care,

not just for the preservation of the site, but to avoid suffering injury on a rusty piece

of equipment or on a jagged brick.

4.

North Brother Island, New York If you're one to believe that places of

great turmoil and suffering leave behind a strong and potentially dangerous energy, then

North Brother Island between the Bronx and Riker's Island in New York may be a trip

worth skipping.

Once the site of a hospital that housed tuberculosis and yellow fever patients including "Typhoid

Mary" and, subsequently, a World War II veteran's home, the island has seen its

fair share of death.

Even if the souls of the damned aren't a concern, nature's tenacity has made much

of the old brick hospital a hazard to walk through.

3.

Old Atlanta Prison Farm, Atlanta, Georgia Sometimes, echoes from the past can be heard

as you walk through, embedded in the walls and the articles left behind.

If you enter the halls of the desolate Atlanta Prison Farm, you can almost hear the 50-years

of activity, the sounds of prisoners shuffling in their cells, and prison cell doors slamming

closed.

It's a spooky, dangerous building hollowed out by a 2009 fire that firefighters let burn

because the building wasn't worth the risk to save, but avoiding the prison isn't just

a matter of safety.

Trespassers elicit a quick response from law enforcement.

2.

Six Flags Jazzland, New Orleans, Louisiana One would expect visiting a place called "Jazzland"

would make for a boisterous good time, but this abandoned New Orleans theme park is a

haunting site filled with unstable structures and plenty of opportunities to contract tetanus.

The once happy place, like much of the Big Easy, was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina

and has sat unattended to for over a decade, the joy that it once provoked resounding like

ghostly memories.

Despite plans to turn the former Six Flags into a water park or shopping mall, the steel

frames continue to rust, corrode and grow even more hazardous to curious visitors.

1.

Pripyat, Ukraine The town of Pripyat was built just under two

miles away from the nuclear reactor at Chernobyl, so when the reactor blew on April 26th, 1986,

the town and its residents were not going to be protected from any fallout.

Thirty-six hours after the nuclear accident, the town was evacuated of its 50,000 inhabitants

and left to suffer the long-term effects of the catastrophe.

There are pictures of the town in its disheveled state, meaning it wasn't too deadly for

a photographer to spend any length of time within the town, but we'd still err on the

side of caution.

You're still embarking on a trek to these locations, aren't you?

Well, before we lose you, don't forget to subscribe, comment, and maybe even hold off

on your journey to check out these two videos.

Newt Gingrich Just Let Everyone In On Trump's Little Secret And Made Every Democrat Cry - Duration: 21:45.

Newt Gingrich Just Let Everyone In On Trump's Little Secret And Made Every Democrat Cry

Former Speaker of the House and regular Trump defender Newt Gingrich got on Fox News Monday

to talk about President Trump's biggest accomplishments so far.

One interesting fact that people tend to forget about is the huge number of conservative judges

President Trump has been able to nominate to the judiciary, not even including Supreme

Court Justice Niel Gorsuch.

Here's what Gingrich said:

"In a little while –another year or two– lots of reasonable people are going to start

saying they don't quite like some of his style, but he [Donald Trump] is really effective…"

"You look at the conservative judges: He and McConnell have collaborated, they've

had twice as many judges approved so far as Obama got in the same length of time, and

they are conservative, and they are on average eight or nine years younger than the Obama

judges."

That's right, folks.

President Trump's judges are nearly a decade younger than Obama's- that means on average

they're going to be around for a whole lot longer.

You do NOT hear about this so much in the news because these nominations happen without

much fanfare and the mainstream media probably absolutely hates it.

As Gingrich said:

"He's shaping the next generation of the judiciary.

All these things are happening in a methodical way."

Check out his whole interview here.

As always with Newt Gingrich, it's a must watch!

Access A Trader Review - Thomas H. Testimonial - Duration: 5:37.

- I've been trading for about six years and

I joined the room a little more than six months ago.

It wasn't quite a year ago I decided to take

what I was doing really seriously and

I had to kind of step back because I didn't know

how to define what I saw, I guess.

You know, I started to notice trends or patterns.

Kind of, well, if the chart looks like this,

you know, I might do this.

Especially when you're day trading,

it's important to be able to define entries and exits.

You know, very clear cut.

You could write it down on paper,

follow it and execute it the same way

over and over and over and over.

That's the way that you're gonna generate some success.

You know, mentorship has always played a huge part.

Anybody that's doing anything successfully,

didn't have people that they looked up to,

at least one person.

It's the same in all industry.

Now, it's kind of different.

A lot of us are working from home.

We're working from offices without anybody else.

The difficulty now is finding the right mentors,

the right people you can learn from and grow from.

I would say the majority of people starting out

aren't going to be able to tell the difference between

somebody that really knows how to trade or

has been in the business for a long time and

somebody that hasn't and sees an opportunity to

become a mentor for people.

"I got these alert systems, these trading systems."

So, starting at ground level,

you kind of have to get creative,

figure out a way to find inspiration.

For me, that was Dan Shapiro.

Just through following him on Twitter for a while,

I knew that he knew what he was talking about.

He'd post ideas, basically, entries so to speak,

ahead of time and it's like, the guy's hitting every trade.

I mean, not in reality, probably,

but what was in front of me, I was just like,

"Holy crap!"

I'm sitting there treading water.

I can't figure out high from a low, pretty much.

So, that sort of interested me and I thought,

let me do more research and literally just took notes,

listened to his interviews over and over,

just trying to get a sense of what he was doing

from the little bits of information that

was out there and available.

He understands the fundamentals of supply and demand,

order flow and tape reading.

I'd say that's the single most important part of trading.

You can look at charts all day,

your hot stock tips and all that stuff,

but if you're not properly reading

what the price is telling you,

to be able to actually watch how that price goes

through that level, what's actually happening, is crucial.

Just listening to him, it's like I'm sitting next to him.

You know?

If he's watching Tesla trade and, in real time,

talking about his thought process,

like this is the level we're looking at.

"Oh, like, you guys see there's a buyer here."

He can clearly see it, you know?

If you're watching, you're timing sales,

you can see that, you know?

It's like, wow.

Like, I get the concept but to try and figure that out,

on your own, it seems sort of like duh, you know.

But, it's not.

That has benefited me so much just listening to him

and his sort of process throughout the day and his mind,

what he's looking at, what he sees.

If I don't see that, I can scroll back and look at sales.

I can try and, oh, that's what he saw.

You have to be confident.

You have to know beyond a doubt that

what you're doing is going to work,

has positive expectancy behind it.

If nothing else, the biggest thing that I've gained

from this room and listening to Dan is confidence.

I really appreciate everything that he's done

for me, for all of us.

For everybody else that wants to put in some time

and dedicate themselves to becoming a trader

or becoming a better one,

this is the spot to be, you know?

Top 10 Insane Sonic Easter Eggs - Duration: 5:23.

Top 10 Insane Sonic Easter Eggs

Easter eggs are glorious things!

There's nothing like finding an amazing easter egg while playing through a game, especially

if those easter eggs are referencing the franchise of the game you're currently playing.

Which is something several sonic games are quite versed in doing.

So today we're counting down the top 10 insane sonic easter eggs.

And some of them aren't that insane, just really interesting if I'm being perfectly

honest.

So let's jump in!

10 Sound Test Date Sonic the Hedgehog 2 introduced us to the

cheat codes of debug mode and the level select option.

Turns out the specific numbers you pop into the sound test in order to get the level select

- 19 65 09 17 - correlate to a certain date - September 17th 1965, the birth date of the

former head of the Sonic Team, Yuji Naka.

9 Sonic's Face Sonic Mania is a game we'll be talking about

quite a bit on this list.

In that particular game, when you're on the home screen, if you look past the main

logo and down below it to the island it's spinning above, you'll notice a familiar

shape.

Or rather, a familiar face.

It's Sonic's.

8 Eggman on the PA In Sonic Colours, as you dash through the

park you'll hear Doctor Eggman announcing things over the PA.

While some of it is original commentary from Eggman, he also quotes some other notable

franchises.

Including Alien.

And references the game Crazy Taxi

7 Translations Another Sonic Colours easter egg here, jumping

to the end of the game after Sonic has defeated Doctor Eggman, there's an interaction with

one of the wisps who save him from dying via the exploding amusement park after the fact.

Tails uses a translator to figure out what the little guy is saying.

It appears in decimal code on the screen, and we catch a glimpse of it long enough to

see that there's additional code at the bottom of the translator's screen.

And the first two lines it translates are spot on in terms of what we get from the cut

scene, but there's an additional third line.

Which translates into 'if you can read this you're a geek".

6 Pink Bot In the studiopolis zone, there's a reference

to another Sega game Streets of Rage.

The Pink Bot sign that appears incredibly similar to the Pine Pot Cafe that appears

in the Streets of Rage 1 and 2, in all of it's neon glory.

5 Big the Cat cameos In Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, if you button

mash during various cut scenes.

Big the Cat will make a cameo in the background, seemingly not visible to the other characters

in the cut scene.

And he's just kinda there, either running by or scratching himself.

Gotta love big the cat.

4 Suicidal Sonic Getting into darker territory for our next

number here, in Sonic CD, Sonic is a tad sucidial.

If you put down the controller and leave the game still for long enough, he'll jump off

the ledge and kill himself.

After tapping his foot profusely, he'll say "I'm outta here!" and jump.

And then it's game over.

Now, if you're playing the US version, you also get this creepy music accompanying the

game over.

3 SegaSonic Popcorn Shop Sonic Mania is filled with a ton of easter

eggs, one of which is the Segasonic Popcorn Shop that appears in the Studiopolis Zone.

The Segasonic Popcorn Shop was actually a real life vending machine though back in 1993.

It dispensed popcorn - of course - that was microwaved and then dropped into a cup.

It had a game component too - you had to turn the green crank on the machine to help Tails

get the popcorn kernels into the fire.

2 Sonic 3D Blast Unintentional Easter Egg If you wiggle or smack the cartridge for Sonic

Blast 3D, you get sent to the level select screen.

Traveller's Tales founder Jon Burt revealed this easter egg's origins in a video he

posted.

He worked on the game, and one of the things they would do to pass cartridge regulation

tests was to cover up the error messages with easter eggs, turning what was a bug into a

bonus screen.

Meaning these glitches would just seem as if they were part of the game rather than

bugs and would still pass certification.

1 And Knuckles Sonic Mania was critically acclaimed, and

many fans felt that it was a love letter to the classic Sonic games.

Keeping true to it's roots, the game has a throwback to the classic's debug mode,

with it's own classic level select cheat.

On this menu we also get a shoutout to the popular meme And Knuckles, which came into

existence due to Sega's 'Lock On' feature that allowed you to add cartridges onto existing

games, made it possible to play Knuckles in Sonic 3.

The meme really blew up though in 2010 after a joke review of the fictional game Sonic

the Hedgehog 3CD and Knuckles and Knuckles.

So what's all that got to do with easter eggs?

Well, there's a easter egg in Sonic Mania that many think is a shoutout to the meme's

infamy.

A mode that lets you play as Knuckles, with Knuckles as your side kick once you unlock

debug mode in the game.

There we have it friends!

I Changed My Dark Lips to Soft Pink Lips Overnight With Just 3 Ingredients - Duration: 2:06.

Winter Season is almost here.

This Season Turns lips dry & black with a bad color.

I have researched a lot on this topic.

but i thought i will only share this remedy with you on the day when i instantly turn black lips to pink.

so today i will share this secret remedy with you.

First of all I will take a toothpaste and brush my lips with it.

toothpaste has effective enzymes which reduces the darkness of lips.

I have researched a lot in the lab and toothpaste is not dangerous for our lips.

Just after brushing you will notice that your lips will turn pink.

before going to next step please support my video and like it.

Now we will take one lemon.

and then scrub your lips with it .

The main reason for dry and chapped lips is shortage of vitamin c.

so by scrubbing your lips by lemon your lips will repair.

and they will turn soft and pink.

in the last step you will put on Vaseline on your lips and then go to bed.

when you will wake up in the morning your lips will be pink and soft.

it is 100% effective and real remedy.

There is no camera trick involved in it.

You just have to use this remedy one in two to three months.

and your lips will be pink and soft.

I hope you will like my video and it will be helpful for you.

For Now Bye Bye.
