CC: TELEMUNDO NETWORK

THE ACERO DYNASTY

This can only mean one thing.

Indio Amaro is working with someone or for someone.

Which one is it?

Daniel might be flawed, but he's not a bad father.

Don't hide from him that he has a son.

That ------------- gringo!

I'm gonna pull a liter of blood for every kilo he took.

Let me go!

Don't you dare touch me again!

Leave her alone!

-Shut up! -Leave her alone!

------- it!

Either way, Pepita will watch you die.

And now, till death do you part, suckers.

We seized almost two tons.

The downside was that Owl and some bald, fat guy got away.

We caught one of them, though.

We spent the night examining fingerprints

and looking for clues.

We tried to get the guy to talk,

but, as you can imagine, he didn't say a word.

Indio Amaro's people won't talk

even if you're beating them to death.

Want to hear the interesting part, baby?

What?

We found initials on the merchandise.

That leads us to believe that Indio is working with someone

or for someone.

We asked the DEA to trace the merchandise and...

Baby, are you listening to me?

Yeah.

Yeah?

Uh-huh.

I'm telling you something interesting.

We dealt the Tijuana Cartel a strong blow

and I thought you'd be pleased.

Gringo, did you have a child with Frida?

You took my merch, -----!

You have my woman!

Know what I'm gonna do to you?

I'm going to tear your heart out.

I'll make you watch.

You and everyone else responsible for this mess

will become human sacrifices to the Aztec gods.

Pepa claims he ratted us out.

He's paying the price right now.

A revenge worthy of you, boss.

Only two people knew about this shipment.

Jose Angel wasn't one of them.

Did you betray me, ------------?

Never, sir. Ask Azuceno.

I didn't rat you out. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here

and ICE agents wouldn't have tried to blow my brains out.

How the hell could you let them take Ratface?

It was him or us, boss.

Besides, I don't think that guy will talk.

My men are well trained, boss.

Not as well as yours, but they know not to blab.

Azuceno, find Ratface and rip his head off!

We can't leave any lose ends.

We will destroy them all!

Hey!

Let me out!

I feel sick!

Carmencita, hang in there.

I swear on all that is holy that we'll get out of here.

I'll get you an antidote.

Please hang in there.

I can't...

I can't, Jose Angel.

This is my fault!

I wanted to die alone!

I wanted to escape the pain.

I had nothing left on this ranch.

I hated knowing you didn't want to look at me anymore.

I couldn't stand this hell...

and I dragged you down with me.

Forgive me.

Yes, baby, I went to see Frida so we could talk.

I didn't tell you, so we wouldn't argue.

You've been keeping a lot from me lately so we don't argue.

I just want to know if that kid is yours or not.

I don't know.

Frida says he's not, that I shouldn't get any ideas,

but if I'm really honest, the math says otherwise.

I don't know, though.

I'll be honest too, then. Take a paternity test.

If the test comes back positive...

What?

What happens to us if it comes back positive?

That's not what matters.

If it comes back positive, you do the responsible thing.

Spend time with him and be a good father to him.

Do you agree?

Yes.

Don't cry, baby.

No!

That's not it.

Let's just drop it because I'm still confused.

I need some space.

How could my perfect plan fail?

I thought you knew the desert inside and out, Owl!

Why'd you end up looking like a newbie?

I know that area very well.

And traitors aside, things are different now.

Everything's being monitored.

They've installed sensors underground.

There are drones that follow suspicious movement.

They're spending money to turn that area into a stronghold.

I learned that from Indira Cardenas, the ICE Chief.

Right now, she's ICE's most guarded prisoner.

Speaking of Indira. What about her?

I keep hearing her talents are going to waste.

We need to force her to work for us.

It won't be easy.

That bitch is very stubborn. Plus, she's lost it all.

There's no way to blackmail her.

Before being sent to prison,

Ayala said her ex and son were under police protection.

They're still alive, then.

A woman would do anything for her children wherever they are.

The copper's Achilles heel is her kid.

He is her heart, her blood flows through his veins.

We're going to shed that blood.

We'll leave her with nothing!

The burger would've been better with a beer.

What is the minimum drinking age in Canada?

Nicolas, you've got a lot of waiting to do.

Are you going to finish it?

From now on, everyone will fear me.

I will be everyone's shadow.

Whoever messes with me faces a death sentence.

Whoever has seen me, crossed my path,

breathed the same air I have, is dead!

Or suffering.

What's this? I never get food at this time.

Then you have something to be thankful for.

Everything we do here is for your own good.

They will see a storm brewing.

If they don't kneel before it...

they will drown.

The storm bears my name.

If you were followed, we could be in danger!

Indio Amaro could walk through that door right now!

ASÍ COMO SI NADA EN ESTE MOMENTO.

Relax, our men are ready for anything.

Who are you, Officer?

Erick Quintanilla, you're under arrest for attempted homicide,

conspiring with the drug trade, and gun trafficking.

I don't have enemies.

An elephant can't be the ant's enemy.

A giant can't be the dwarf's enemy.

A wolf does not negotiate with sheep.

It's the natural order of things.

I command pain and suffering!

That can't be.

My husband was just awarded for his fight

against the drug trade.

I received a medal from the President himself.

Under whose orders are you acting?

This must be a mistake.

Each and every one of them will fall...

like a house of cards.

No, this isn't a mistake.

They have evidence that he is guilty of the crimes mentioned.

You work for us, you bastard!

What are you doing, Triple R?

I'm upholding the law.

I couldn't let someone like him hold such an important post.

You're a criminal.

Bebote.

Don't do anything, Erick.

Officer, you're making a huge mistake

and you'll never forget it.

You're arresting an innocent man,

someone who could be the next mayor of Matamoros.

-Let's go. -Don't hurt him!

Get rid of them and come with me, Bebote.

I think...

Frida, be honest with me.

Am I the father of your child?

I command destruction.

Acero, Quintanilla, Phillips.

I couldn't care less about their last names.

When the last one of them falls, no one will remember them.

Get that silly notion out of your head.

A puppet's strings are weak, like people themselves.

If you don't tell me the truth, I'll demand a paternity test.

Don't be ridiculous!

I wouldn't make him take such a stupid test.

You wouldn't, but I would if you're not honest with me.

He's not your son!

Mom! - MAMÁ.

Sweetheart! Hi, honey!

How'd it go at school?

I hate school!

Who is he? A friend?

No.

Yes.

Yes, we're friends and I wanted to meet you.

And those strings... always snap!

It doesn't bother me that Daniel had a son with Frida.

It bothers me that he didn't tell me about it

and that he left Frida to be with Jessica.

Right, but you don't even know if he's really his son or not.

No, I don't, but I hate that he keeps secrets from me.

He met with her on another occasion

and didn't tell me about it either.

And you know how he reacts

-when I bring up Romero. -You're jealous too, Vicenta.

-I'm not jealous, damn it! -Oh, yeah! I can tell!

Daniel only has eyes for you.

Now, what would you do if it turns out he is his son?

What would we do? Nothing!

We'd man up and we'd treat that kid right.

He'd have an honorable and responsible father,

God knows I wanted one!

If Daniel refuses to do that, then we're not getting married.

I'm ready to go on our trip.

You look ready for summer, Mrs. Victoria.

-You look great! -What? We're not going?

You promised you'd take me to the beach!

Have you seen the weather outside, ma'am?

This is getting old.

Daniel asks me to get dressed and pack my bags

and then he says we're not going because he's busy.

That's why you can't trust men.

You can't trust men! I agree!

Why are you here so early, honey?

This is when I normally get here.

Yes, that's right. I lost track of time.

I'm sorry!

Aren't you going to introduce me to your son, Frida?

My name is Diego.

Diego.

Nice to meet you, Diego. My name is Daniel.

How old are you?

Nine.

Hey, did you know that you weigh less in space?

-Really? -Yeah.

Does that mean you like astronomy?

Yes!

Mom and I visited NASA recently.

We're going to go back to see a launching.

When are you going?

I'd love to join you if you don't mind.

-Sounds good. -May I?

No, he can't, honey.

He's a very busy man who works a lot.

I can make time for this trip.

Daniel?

Have you met Diego?

Yes, we were just introduced.

He invited me to join him at NASA, right, Diego?

-Yes! -You should go!

Diego loves space, galaxies, and the universe.

Must be why Frida's head is always in the stars.

Well, no one's going to NASA.

We have a lot of work to do. Please get Diego out of here.

Why? What's the rush?

We're getting to know each other.

Let them talk.

What's there to talk about?

We all know Pluto isn't a planet anymore.

No, Mom. Pluto's a planet again.

Why are you so nervous?

Yeah... why are you so nervous, Frida?

Huh?

Why are you so nervous?

You're so pushy.

Help!

Help!

Hang in there, Indira.

Hang in there.

Help!

Help!

José José | Capítulo 12 | Telemundo Novelas - Duration: 14:58.

If you're dating him,

I need to tell you a few things.

You pig!

-Are you okay? -Yes, Pepe.

Take us to the bus terminal.

What if he comes looking for you again?

These employees of yours make me want to start right now.

Gonzalo? That's Jose Jose's brother.

Gonzalo, wake up.

Come on, you drunk fool!

Your mom will say I don't care about you!

If you keep this up, you can forget about marriage.

I didn't think you were the marrying type, but alright.

Kiki, why don't you come on tour with me?

Because I have children.

Kiki and Jose? Are you guys having issues?

May I please have a rum and cola?

No ice.

I'll just have a cola.

-What? -I don't drink.

Do it for me.

You and I are going to take over the world.

This is my buddy, Jose Jose!

Come on, Pepe! Yeah!

-Calm down! -Let go!

-Come on. -Get off!

Let me go, Pepe!

I've never told you anything!

Get him out of here. Now!

No, no. Please calm down.

We don't want any trouble. Calm down.

I'll take full responsibility. Stop it.

Calm down. Calm down, Chumo.

Take it easy, please.

No one's safe in this business.

What kind of drug are we talking about?

Pheno... something. What do I know?

Anyway, it doesn't matter.

I just want to know why that man's looking for me

if he wants to spread a rumor about Kiki.

Because you want the man she's with.

-No! -Yes.

Jose's traveling.

So is Kiki.

Isn't that too much of a coincidence, honey?

Here's everything I managed to get my hands on.

Do you think we're stupid, Minerva?

What?

Let's go talk outside.

Hey, calm down. I'm doing the best I can.

Then you'll have to do better.

Isn't your brother-in-law selling a bunch of records?

How come we're not reaping the benefits?

That's rich.

Why don't you do something yourselves?

You want everything, but you won't move a muscle.

If you expect to live off of me,

you won't have enough to even buy a pint.

Damn. She's right.

About what?

We can make our own money.

Am I right?

So, babe... When should we start work?

I'm not your babe.

And I'm not looking to hire you.

I want you to leave.

You're making a mistake, Sister.

A place like this needs some security.

Someone could come and destroy it.

What if someone flips the tables?

Get out of here!

What if they break things? [Estruendo]

Poncho, don't. Please.

God willing it won't happen.

But if He's willing,

we'll be here to watch your back.

Get out!

You don't get it, do you?

Alright. See you later.

See you, Sister.

Speaking of vices, what do you think?

-Is it true or just a rumor? -I think it's true.

Kiki dated Javier.

They were in all the papers.

And all the magazines!

Anel, this is your chance to get revenge.

No! I won't do it.

It'll surely bite me in the ass.

Besides, I have self-respect.

Benefitting from harmless gossip isn't a crime.

What would be my benefit?

-Pepe! -Who?

- ¡AY!

Honey, please.

We know this is valuable information.

If you don't use it, I will.

-I forbid it, Jorja. -How come?

Didn't she call you a whore and a junkie?

Yes, but I won't stoop to her level.

I may be a lot of things, but I'm not a gossip.

Well, don't get too caught up playing the Virgin Mary

or you'll waste a good opportunity.

I think this is your chance to get your prince back.

What prince?

How many times do I have to tell you he's not my prince?

-He is. -He is.

Where were you?

I've been looking for you all day!

-Then you weren't really... -Shush.

My mom's sleeping.

Then you weren't really looking.

My mom's sleeping!

I was here. Ask your mom.

Where are you coming from?

Come on, Minerva. Don't be like that.

I'm sorry.

I don't know what happened this morning.

I already wasn't feeling well. Remember?

All I remember is that you were so drunk you could barely talk.

Well, I wasn't feeling well and you were hounding me.

So it's my fault?

No, it wasn't. It was my fault.

It won't happen again. I promise.

Really?

And how do I know you won't slap me around next time?

No, babe. I swear.

Look, I might be crazy and stubborn,

but I promise I'm not a violent guy.

I heard otherwise at the market.

What happened with the Crocodiles?

Nothing. They left.

You know why?

Because I won't let anyone talk smack about you or my mom.

Come on. Forgive me.

Fine, but listen to me.

If you ever raise your voice or your hand at me again,

I'll rip it off and take it with me.

Okay. Deal.

Wait, Chumo. Take it easy.

You'd make a great lawyer.

We've only gone partying this once.

Yeah, and it cost us a lot.

I barely had enough money to pay for the mess you made.

You're being dramatic.

No, I'm not.

Tomorrow we have an 8:00 AM flight to Puerto Rico.

Don't forget.

Exactly! So let's celebrate.

No, man! Stop it.

Why don't you buy a bottle?

I'm not buying anything. This is important to me!

Oh!

My, my... Yes, sir.

Chumo.

Chumo!

Hi. Do you speak Spanish?

Yes, what do you need?

My friend's staying in 502 and I knocked but he didn't answer.

I also called him and nothing. I'm starting to get worried.

You're Jose Jose, right?

Yeah.

Let's see if your friend is in.

Thanks.

Thanks a lot.

Chumo.

Chumo!

He's not here.

I'm taking his suitcases in case he catches up with me.

Thanks.

-Can I have an autograph? -Sure thing.

Angelica.

The Lord won't allow Satan to return to this place.

Mark my words.

What'll we do?

The Crocodiles are growing in numbers and power.

Well, yeah,

but they've built their reputation on corrupt deeds.

They're lost souls.

Oh! I think I get it now.

God set them on this path so I'd keep an eye on...

Why not just call the police and be done with it?

What for?

We went to the police recently and they didn't do anything.

They might hear you out, though. because you're a man.

Well, my cousin works in city hall.

I'll talk to him.

Hey.

Wasn't it weird seeing Minerva with them?

The whole thing was very strange, right?

It was, but it's not the first time I see them all together.

Cream, milk, cheese... Where are the eggs?

My boss asked me to...

Ma'am, I'll take care of this.

I left the beef on the stove

and I always overcook the potatoes.

See you.

My boss wants them to pay off the debt first.

I know.

It's just that she's having a rough time.

Even I'm chipping in and helping her.

I feel bad.

Isn't her son Jose Jose? He's famous.

Well, yeah, but fame changes people.

The poor thing sacrificed so much for her sons,

but she barely has enough to eat.

They're really ungrateful.

If I were famous, I'd make sure my mom was well off.

Hey.

So what do you say?

Can we pay you later?

Yeah. I'll even talk to my boss.

Great.

Hey.

Isn't there any way for you to bring me a dozen eggs?

Since you're around, you know?

Hi, sir.

Are you checking in?

I don't speak English.

Are you checking in? The plane has to leave.

Right...

I'm just not sure that my friend will get here in time.

-Can I change my flight? -Of course.

Just say when.

Well... later today.

Sorry, all other flights leaving today

are booked to capacity.

Ma'am, I have important commitments in Puerto Rico

and I can't cancel them.

Calm down, sir.

You're the one who wants to change his flight.

I apologize.

Where the hell are you, Chumo?

Hello.

Jose?

We thought you'd be in San Juan by now.

I'm looking for Chumo. I thought he was here.

I haven't seen him.

-Thanks. -Okay.

How's it going, man?

Have you heard from Chumo?

Yeah, he came back last night and joined us for drinks.

Later we asked him to join us at a cabaret we work in,

but he said no because he had an early flight.

Did he leave with anyone or was he alone?

Alone. He took a cab.

That's strange.

I went to his room, but he wasn't there, just his things.

Don't worry, Jose.

Chumo does this when he's partying.

I've known him for years. He always comes back.

What do you mean by that?

Well, when he parties, he really parties.

But he calms down eventually.

That's weird.

I've never seen him like this before.

He's very professional when he's working,

but when he's partying, he's up for days.

He eventually calms down, but you never know when.

This is the studio's main attraction

because of the wondrous women who work here.

Anel, sweetheart.

What's wrong?

You're here, but you seem distant.

Why?

Kiki's away and you're the star.

I know, Mau, but if I'm honest, I'd rather she were here.

Not someplace else.

And not in such good company.

Do you know where she is?

She didn't tell me.

But from what I've heard, I'm sure she's in Acapulco.

At the Alemans' wedding.

So she's in the country?

You never know with her.

She could also be in Paris having mimosas.

Just mimosas?

Are you sure she's not drinking anything else?

Oh, Anel!

My lips are sealed.

We all have our secrets.

Which always reveal themselves in the worst ways.

Chumo.

Hey. What's up, man?

Excuse me?

Are you really asking me that?

We missed our flight to Puerto Rico, Chumo!

I was worried. I didn't know where you were.

Alright, alright. Don't yell at me.

I'm hung over.

You've never done this to me, Chumo.

I was really worried about you.

Well, don't worry.

As soon as I get rid of this hang over

and my head stops throbbing, it'll be fine.

Alright, well... Eat something.

It'll make you feel better.

No, I can't keep anything down. What I need is a beer.

Take a bath, then.

I'll make some calls and I'll get you your beer.

You know what? Make that two beers.

Miss, can you patch me through

to El Condado Hotel in Puerto Rico?

Yes, I'll hold.

Hello and thanks for watching EV-TV!

Did you know that this coming Friday,

Americans will participate in a strange, but fun tradition?

This Friday is February 2nd.

In America, every February 2 is Groundhog Day.

What is a groundhog?

A groundhog is an animal.

An animal that is like a squirrel, but bigger.

On Groundhog Day, Americans watch for a groundhog to come out of its burrow.

And why are we interested in the groundhog?

Because according to tradition,

when the groundhog comes out it will predict the weather.

How does the groundhog predict the weather?

There is a belief that the change in seasons

from winter to spring

depends on whether the groundhog sees its shadow or not when it comes out of its burrow.

If the groundhog comes out and sees its shadow,

then it means that winter will be 6 weeks longer.

But if it doesn't see its shadow,

it means that spring will come soon.

Groundhogs are animals that are good at a lot of things.

They aren't just weather forecasters.

In 1993 there was a movie called Groundhog Day,

starring Bill Murray, that many people may have seen,

but the tradition of Groundhog Day comes from the German people

who lived in Pennsylvania in the 19th century.

The biggest celebration of Groundhog Day

has been going on for 132 years

in the city of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.

This city has a long name that is hard to spell.

Punxsutawney. This name comes from an American Indian language.

The city of Punxsutawney is home to

a fat groundhog,

named Punxsutawney Phil,

or for short, Phil.

Each year, thousands of people gather together at a hill

called Gobbler's Knob,

close to the city of Punxsutawney.

People gather there to see Phil come out of his house.

A special group of people,

called the Inner Circle,

takes care of Phil and organizes the celebration.

The president of the Inner Circle uses a magical cane

to knock on Phil's door.

When Phil comes out he tells the president

whether or not he's seen his shadow.

The president is the only person

who can understand Phil's language.

This language is called "Groundhogese".

Last year, Phil saw his shadow.

This year, I hope that Phil doesn't see his shadow

and winter will come to an end soon!

So what do you think?

Leave a comment below and tell me!

I hope you had fun with this video,

Top 10 best 5 star luxury hotels in Spain - Duration: 10:06.

Are you looking for the best of the best in luxury holidays?

Well, in this video I want to share with you my top 10 of the best luxury holidays in Spain

you can book this year and know for sure you have made a great choice.

All of these hotels I pick out of the over 400 hotels I visited in the last year in Spain

and all of these hotels offer absolute great value for money.

The Sentido Mallorca Palace is a 5 star finca style boutique hotel in Sa Coma.

The whole hotel radiates class and relaxation.

Many of the ground floor apartments have direct access to the beautiful gardens and walk in

style balconies, so with easy access to the pool.

The hotel Sentido Mallorca Palace of course also has a nice Spa in the hotel to enjoy.

I would call this a boutique hotel… tiny, personal, original and compact.

Lopesan Villa del Condes is one of the many 5 star Lopesan hotels in the Meloneras area.

This one has a grandish welcoming receptions build into a cathedral style building.

The hotel itself is very big so offers everything you could wish for but because of the layout

of the hotel it does not feel very big.

It feels more like being on holiday in a small authentic Spanish village with beautiful gardens.

Also because there are multiple small pools, it never feels crowded or like you are in

a very busy hotel and the pool is always within easy walking distance from your accommodation.

This hotel is front line to the ocean and about 300 meters from the Meloneras beach

but also within the hotel you will find a pool with sand beach if you do not wish to

leave the hotel but still want the beach.

The Lopesan Villa del Condes also has a large spa and indoor swimming pool.

The hotel Hesperia Villamil is a brilliant hotel right next to the beach and right in

the middle of Paguera.

This is also one of the reasons why it scored the high rating, because for its location.

This hotel was recently renovated to keep up with the high standards it has been offering

for years.

It is very popular with couples.

The hotel Hesperia Villamil is an ideal option for people who want a classy, relaxing holiday

right next to the beach.

The hotel Sir Anthony in the Mare Nostrum Resort in Tenerife is an excellent place to

relax.

The hotel itself is kinda tiny, in a good way.

It has a very relaxed and personal service.

All the staff as well were very friendly and helpfull.

If you are looking for a chilled out holiday in Playa de las Americas, the hotel Sir Anthony

is a great choice.

This hotel is not specificly adults only but mostly focuses on adults only holidays.

Children are aloud in the hotel but you will see very few of them.

The hotel Botanico and the Oriental Spa Gardens is a very surprising hotel.

From the outside it does not look out of the ordinary but once inside it is very unique.

This is one of the first 5 star hotels in Tenerife and has been providing great relaxing

holidays for years.

There are amazing gardens surrounding this hotel, even a golf area and of course the

Oriental Spa.

The hotel Botanico is part of a bigger group that has many great quality restaurants and

excursions on Tenerife.

So before I move on to the top 5, some of you might have seen already that this is a

bit of a different video then normal, this is because I am not in Spain, I am in Europe

and I am absolutely cold and freezing visiting some friends and family here for the new year.

But also this year again I will be in Spain, I will be visiting Lanzarote, Fuerteventura,

Ibiza and Menorca for sure but most likely also some other places and I will be coming

back with great videos from those places and great holiday information.

The Radisson Blue Resort & Spa Gran Canaria Mogan is a brand new modern hotel build in

2016.

The whole hotel is very open fresh and clean and has different pools spread out over the

entire area.

There is the main pool but also a dedicated pool for children with wet bubble slides loads

of other fun stuff.

On the other side of the hotel away from all the kids there is also an adults only pool

for if you would want to relax.

In the hotel Radisson Blue Resort & Spa Gran Canaria Mogan there are also 2 different restaurants

located poolside, 1 general buffet restaurant as well as a dedicated Italian restaurant.

The hotel also offer a mini club, volleyball and other sports fields as well as a rock

climbing wall.

The hotel Jardines de Nivaria by Adrian hotels is located right next to the beach of Fanabe

in Costa Adeje.

This hotel offers everything you could want for a 5 star luxury holiday in Tenerife.

The hotel offer many different room options with very different prices, so make sure you

book the right one for you.

The hotel Jardines de Nivaria by Adrian hotels has great pools set into some stunning gardens.

Also there are many different restaurants to choose from.

So there is really not much reason to leave the hotel.

However if you wish to do so, just outside the door there are many different restaurants

and barst to choose from, as well as an upscale shopping center just a few minutes away from

the hotel.

The 5 star hotel Lago Garden in Cala Ratjada s absolutely amazing and unique.

To make my video series on Mallorca I travelled around Mallorca for about 2 months and have

visited over 200 hotels and I can honestly say that the hotel Lago Garden is one of the

most unique hotels I have seen.

The hotel has amazing gardens and many separated pools.

There is a little pool bar, random chill out areas all over and the whole hotel radiates

warmth and class.

There are many Lago Gardens all over Mallorca, so make sure you book the right one!

In the center of Playa del Ingles you will find the Bohemia Suites & Spa, a 5 star hotel

with easy walking distance to the beach.

Within the hotel you will find 2 great heated pools,1 with a bit of soft music and 1 purely

with water sounds for relaxation.

There is also a very good gym with sauna and ice shower and an large dedicated Spa center

with extensive menu of different treatments.

From the restaurant on the top floor of the Bohemia Suites & Spa you will have an amazing

panoramic view over the surrounding are and beach.

Here you will also find the cocktail bar in loungey relax style to enjoy the cool breeze

in the evening or during the day.

The Seaside Gran Hotel Residencia is a 5 star GL - hotel in Meloneras area.

So what does that mean?

Well... it's kinda like 6 stars but since Gran Canaria does not offer 6 star ratings,

its 5 star GL.

This hotel really surprised me even before I knew the star rating, so I suppose this

rating in well deserved.

The whole hotel consists out of little villas set in some beautiful and relaxing gardens

around a central pool.

If money is not object...

I can definitely advise the Seaside Gran Hotel Residencia.

If you interested in booking any of these hotels do know you can have a look on my website,

that is checkedholidays.com where you can instantly price compare and see what company

is offering these hotels at the best price.

If you have any question you can ask them just write them in the comments below, and

I try to answer them as soon as I see them.

Normally that is within 1 or 2 hours, but if I am travelling and filming it can take

a bit longer so be aware of that.

Hope you have a great holiday in Spain because of this video.

Skiing in Cortina d'Ampezzo near the Italian Dolomites - Duration: 1:33.

The Snow Service Ski rental is a shop in the heart of Cortina d'Ampezzo, five minutes

from the main bus stop in town.

Here I rented a pair of boots, skis and a helmet for a day of skiing in the Italian

Dolomites.

Ready to ski in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Socrepes is about 10 minutes away from Cortina by bus, offering slopes for the less experienced.

It is here you can learn to stand on the skis, walk and slide down the baby slopes.

The views are absolutely breathtaking on either side of the ski lift and if you are lucky

the sun will be shining like it did when I was there.

The Dolomites now completely dominate the area and are now protected under UNESCO World

Heritage status.

If you slide down through the forest route, you will arrive at the Teleferico, which will

take you to the top of the mountain.

The ride will take about 10 minutes with one change, flying you up to 2800 meters.

Cortina will be in front of you in the valley as you stand at the edge and later while you

are descending back to the valley.

Catalunya - Behind the Scenes - Duration: 7:17.

Hi guys my name is Oliver Astrologo and today I'm gonna talk about the

production process behind the Catalunya video, also I will give you some tips and

some insights about my creative approach

I was truly impressed by the big variety of flavours, colors and destinations that

Catalunya can offer many of you are aware about Barcelona a city with

thousand and thousand of things to do and also enriched with the amazing masterpieces

of the architect Antoni Gaudí Catalunya is not only Barcelona as this

land will cover any needs that you can have, regardless if you a fanatic of the

mountain hiking or you prefer to relax at the sea

so you can now imagine how challenging is

to put everything in a just a three-minutes video, when the Catalan

Tourism board contacted us for creating this video I was pretty excited

despite we have planned the whole trip and we careful decided every location

we managed to keep enough of free time for experimenting it happened very often

when when we were driving or travelling around the region to stop and discover

something that we found interesting

the whole shooting took approximately

two weeks my team was composed by four people myself two camera operators that

helped me to capture different points of view of the same scenes and an assistant

it was crucial to get the support of a location manager that brought us in

the right places and also helped us to find the people that would have enhanced

the storytelling and gave an extra color to the video for this project we have

collected over 6000 4k different clips at the end for creating the final video we

used approximately 350 different Clips ok guys now let's talk about my

equipment and my mostly used camera was the sony 6500 i loved this camera

because it's really small a really affordable works like a charm with

the Zhiyun Crane combined with a Manfrotto monopod

my second camera was

the sony a7r2 i love this camera because can provide excellent

video quality and also can be used for getting some nice stills

between one shot and other if you need to get some nice point of view shots for

example the point of view the climber of the mountain

I suggest use the GoPro Hero 5 this camera also can be used for getting

some nice underwater shots most of the beautiful aerial images that

you can watch in Catalonia video where captured using the support of a local

company called Aeroshots they provided us an Hexacopter equipped with a

Panasonic GH4 camera

my mostly used lens consists in

the wide angle is a Sony 10-18 millimeters that works like a charm

combined with the Sony a6500 I like the cinematic look that the sony 28

millimeters is capable to provide this lens combined it with the sony a6500

become a 35 millimeters that is my favorite focal because it's the

closest to the focal composition of the human eye for capturing a more close-up

shots used sorry 55mm 1.8 and also a telephoto lens forgetting the far

subjects if you want to know more about my gear and some technical aspect of my

work you can have a look to the medium story I published you can

find a link down in the caption on this video have you heard the sound? If you

listen this video using your headphones you can feel different layers of sounds

all these sound effects that you can listen in Catalonia video where achieved

just using my smartphone or an h4 sound recorder i think that the music is

a crucial element to give the emotional feeling into the video i worked with

Max he is a very talented composer from Canada he already collaborated

with me in the creation of my previous videos Rome Malta and Vietnam let's have

a look or what Max has to say about this video hey I'm Max ll I wrote the

music for Oliver Astrologo's catalonia video and for the music in the

film we really wanted to meet the music to have this cinematic feel while still

maintaining colors and influences of music of catalonia and the way we did

that was to integrate two elements in the music the first is the catalan rumba

which is the rhythm you hear the guitars playing in the background track

and secondly we use an instrument called the Gralla which is a typical instrument

that you hear towards the end of the track

be creative when you are

adding your sounds to your videos these shots for example where you can listen the

train I combined the sound using a rattlesnake toy to give the feeling

of movement of the camera you can also alter the pitch the length of every

sample in premiere or you can even reverse them to get a transformed

sound in something that is completely different from the original one

I received a lot of question about the transition guys transition are not as

important storytelling is the important aspect of your video before applying any

transition or special effects watch your video without any effects to see how the

flows works either way I don't use any plug-in for creating my transitions all

the effects the movements are organic just obtained with the camera

so guys if you want to start making travel videos my suggestion are

think about a story and find a character that could be the main subject of your story

try to combine different environments with the story the Gralla maker that you

can see here was combined it with the house on the lake to create the feeling that

he was living inside try to get in contact with the local people get close

to them start talking with them a absorb their stories explain what you are

doing to them they will open to you and probably they will invite you to

discover something that is unexpected that could be a very nice aspect for

your video one of the most difficult bit is to make sure that the every

location is not filled with people especially tourists or things that are

not related to destination one of the most challenging items in catalunya

video was the shooting the human Tower so I managed it with my collaborators to

shoot the same scene from different angles at the same time one shooting

from the top another one getting the details of the faces for the people and

I was free with my gimbal to move around the tower and get some nice shot on

different point of view thank you for watching guys I hope you enjoyed this

behind the scene videos please feel free to leave any comments or questions in the

box below I need to say thanks to all the people collaborators that were

involved in the creation of this video and of course and the Catalan tourism board

agency for this amazing challenge please keep watching don't forget to

subscribe because there are new tutorials new behind the scenes videos on

the way thanks again

How Often Should Get My Period - Duration: 3:14.

how many this cycle is best for healthy menstrual cycle how often should I get

my period you should get your period about once every month

a typical menstrual cycle is about 28 days this means that there should be

about 28 days from the first day of your period to the first day of your next

period 28 days is an average number but anywhere between 21 and 40 days is

normal what happens if period comes early an early period can be bleeding

again just days after your last period are for example two weeks before you

expect the next one to arrive it can be caused by hormonal and lifestyle changes

that disrupts the balance of your body unbalanced hormones are the main cause

for an early period an early period could also indicate the beginning of an

irregular menstrual cycle but it can also be an indicator for polycystic

ovary syndrome it's time to visit your doctor for a consult early periods can

sometimes be a sign of pregnancy or implantation bleeding how often should

bleeding continues your period will usually last between three to five days

but in some cases bleeding continues for eight to ten days it indicates as

abnormal and the amount of blood flow you have will probably be different each

day you will usually have the most blood in the beginning of your period and the

least towards the end when you're first getting your period you may have a very

heavy period one cycle and very light one the next normal quantity of bleeding

during periods is 30 to 50 ml if it gets more than 80 ml then it's indicated as

abnormal some women get dark shanky clots of blood during their

period when they have days of heavy cramping and heavy bleeding your body

usually makes things call anticoagulants that keeps your blood from clotting as

it moves to your vagina and out of your body

but during days of heavy bleeding and cramping the blood may be leaving the

uterus so quickly there isn't time to release these anticoagulants the blood

then clots if you have clots that are bigger than the size of a quarter you

must talk with your health care provider periods during pregnancy miscarriage

miscarriage is nothing but loss of pregnancy in the first twenty weeks is a

very common experience especially within the first thirteen weeks of a pregnancy

when a miscarriage occurs very early in pregnancy it can be difficult to tell

the difference between a normal menstrual period and a miscarriage

especially if a person occasionally are early experiences heavy are painful

periods symptoms of both menstrual periods and miscarriage can include

heavy bleeding pain and cramping if a person doesn't know they are pregnant

and has a miscarriage around the time of an expected period

they'll probably assume they are having a period as usual if you are nervous

that you might be pregnant and want to know if your bleeding is a miscarriage

or a normal period you should take a pregnancy test or visit your health care

provider miscarriage may occur because of hormonal imbalance and chromosomal

abnormalities there is baby forms in abnormal condition it will also lead to

missed miscarriage experts suggest that the age is a factor to consider in the

case of miscarriage and moreover it can be treatable by consulting write

gynecologist for any queries and suggestions feel free to comments in

Live Inspired. Vlog Episode #159: Find Time To Be Silent - Duration: 3:21.

Well Good Morning, my friends!

Welcome to Live Inspired with John O'Leary.

I think our children, if we are really paying attention to them, can teach us an awful lot

about life.

Just two nights ago, while putting one of my little ones to bed, Henry looks up at me

and says, "Hey Dad!

Dad!

Did you know that listen and silent have the same letters in them?'

Listen and silent have the same...

"No, Henry.

I did not know that, man!"

And my friends, I wonder how many of us might know that truth, too.

That listen and silent have the same letters in them.

I thought about little Henry's wordplay recently while Beth and I, waking up early in the morning,

heard an unusual noise.

Birds!

It has been a long time in this home of ours since we've heard birds singing to us in the

morning.

So I kind of rolled over and said, "Babe, do you hear that?

The birds are back!

They're singing again!"

They're singing in the reminder that winter is slowly starting to melt away into Spring.

But the only way you hear birds sing in the morning or throughout the day is if you're

really paying attention.

If you're really listening.

If you really create a little bit of silence for the noise- the worthy noise- to creep

in.

My friends, in the midst of our busy lives, as we sprint from meeting to meeting and event

to event and life occurrence to occurrence, it becomes of critical importance to find

the time, the space, the silence.

The silence

to listen.

To listen to not only what's going on in nature, not only to what our little ones are teaching

us about life, but listening to what's going on within our own minds, our own hearts, our

own lives.

To create that space.

You know, sound and silence matter.

The dance between the two matters.

This week on our Live Inspired channel, we had an incredible inspiration, a great guy,

a dear friend of mine.

His name is Mike Mattingly.

He's our most recent guest on the Live Inspired Podcast.

He teaches us not only about music and silence and art and rebounding into life going forward,

but he's going to teach you how you can live a better life going forward in your own journey.

You're going to love him.

His name is Mike Mattingly.

Check him out on the Live Inspired Podcast with John O'Leary.

My friends, silent and listen have the same letters in them.

I hope on this Wednesday morning that that encourages you to listen a little bit more

to what our kids, to what the birds, to what life can teach us about where we've been,

about where we are, and about ultimately where we can go next.

So for this time, and until next time, this is your day.

Embrace it, celebrate it, dance into it, and Live Inspired.

So before I move on to the top 5, some of you might have seen already that this is a

bit of a different video then normal, this is because I am not in Spain, I am in Europe

and I am absolutely cold and freezing visiting some friends and family here for the new year.

most unique hotels I have seen.

The hotel has amazing gardens and many separated pools.

There is a little pool bar, random chill out areas all over and the whole hotel radiates

warmth and class.

There are many Lago Gardens all over Mallorca, so make sure you book the right one!

GIG OR JIG ? HARP ADVICES FOR NEWBIES ARTISTS |ENG SUB | 2018 - Duration: 11:26.

Hi everyone, I hope you are well! I'm coming back today for a new video

so, some time ago, I discovered a channel and a youtubeur called Adam Neely, who talks a lot of music in general

during a video - question / answer - a person asked him the question, what was his point of view a -GIG or event-

It is true that as a person who speaks in French, we do not know this term, it is the equivalent of - concerts / events - however we must distinguish two contexts

in the first case, a concert as a Job, you are hired to make a performance, for a wedding, a theater, a festival ...

it is therefore in a professional context, it is necessary to check all the requests and the needs, that it is at the level of your contract, punctuality, your salary,

the term of your contract, what is included or not, accommodation, catering, transport, sound system, if you can repeat before in the place, schedules ...

it is in this kind of case, if you are serious and pro that you will be able to have a certain number of benefits, an example, a member of the public who appreciates your performance

this person will think of you as being serious, she will tell herself- I would like to have this artist for my next event -

and also the fact that everything is going well and that you are punctual, well dressed, and that your music pleases will give a good image to your work

this will open up opportunities and commitments. There are two styles of events, the paid and pro event

and the event that produces your music, and that must be seen as an investment.

the second event that can be interesting is to have the opportunity to do "performance"

you have to tell yourself that it's in another setting, you're not engaged professionally, you are going to ask for some places, cafes / restaurants,

even some festivals that start and have few budgets, and in return the officials of these places will ask you a counterpart

sometimes there are places to pay, especially in Paris! the musicians who will pass by will understand what I am talking about!

to be able to present a new album or a new show, I had to pay theater, but I also had to make sure to bring back the audience

it's a trickier situation to manage, because you have to really commit and think in terms of investment, or will go to a place where you will not earn money

on the other hand the goal is provided to present a show, the "lapping", we will have contacts, but we must make the difference between

but we must understand that in the first case it is a commitment with a contract for a defined work and it does not give rise to a particular emotion

for example there are harpers who specialize in weddings, people who hire them for their wedding asks them to be dressed in a certain way

to be punctual, to animate with music a cocktail, or during a religious ceremony, or in a town hall

It must be understood that in this case, I have already played for weddings, it must be understood that it is not the artist who is put forward, who is the star, it is the bride and groom

you are behind the stars of the day, you are a musician who is there to play the repertoire you have been asked for money

So the idea is not to stand out as an artist but to be part of this event by being present but discreet

it's important to say this because some musicians may not like this kind of situation because it's particularly

For example, I remember that for a cocktail party for a medieval wedding, I had no amplification, at the request of brides who wanted acoustics and in an abbey

the guests came near me and spoke at the same time that I was playing, it can embarrass the musician, we must learn to play with it

you have to tell yourself that it's a job, it's not to show you how to do it and to tell you - how good I play! - because the public does not really listen to you

the guests listen but at the same time they discuss, and sometimes worse, they attracted by the music like in a discotheque or we like to speak at the same time as the music!

and they may be talking even harder than you play the harp! I experienced this kind of situation, and I tried to play the harp without the embarrassment

remember to ask if you made this kind of contract, its duration, the list of pieces to play during the religious ceremony or other

it is important to understand that in this first case, it is a job. in the second case, it is to present in a frame

I would not say it's an unprofessional setting, but where we're not going to give you that much precision, to have the opportunity to play in a group

in a cafe, in a restaurant, you can ask to be paid, but in some places, they do not have the culture of paying an artist

it must be said that it is an investment on your music

instead of playing in your corner, presenting your music to an audience, and can be engaged for other events

these are the two cases that exist, but we must be careful especially in France,

if you live in the Usa - or elsewhere - and you have other ideas to share, do it in comments

the idea is to tell yourself that you have two styles of events - Gigs - one is professional, or you are engaged with a pay

and in the other case, an event - not professional - which is rather to invest in a music, to present it or to - to work - of a show

but in these cases, do not expect to have some remuneration, and we will ask you to bring back the public in exchange

in a bar or a restaurant, the goal is to have money coming in

it is true that it is quite ambiguous, I do not advise everyone to do this

at the beginning of my career, I played without being paid, with more or less success

I had places that were nice to me, and that offered me a drink or a meal

and I had other experiences with places where people made fun of me and more than that I say thank you!

I advise you to be well informed, before contacting a place, what a reputation in this place, find reviews on the internet

the best advice I give you, avoid playing too often for free or very quickly people will find out

once I told someone that I could play without being paid,

and a few weeks later, a festival director asked me to come for free

but this festival had something to pay me, but I said I could play for free

I think the minimum is to ask for a counterpart, it can be a drink, a meal see more, but at least a counterpart

to avoid the fact that we musicians are associated with the fact that it is our passion - but also our job - and therefore we are not paid

I hope this video gave you ideas and do not hesitate - in both cases - to be professional

that is to say, to send a maximum of information to the persons in charge of the places, the possible date for your concert, a schedule, the information on your band

to send samples of MP3 tracks, or a link with videos, and be serious

I built my reputation in my community, because compared to my harp, I always arrived in advance, I talked with people

if there were technical problems, I tried to solve them before, so that when the concert started, everything was settled

I hope this video helps you, because when you start an artistic career, I think it's useful to have help

I think it's a bit of a subject - taboo- people keep their information for them, on my side I want to be transparent with you - break this pattern -

with my own experience... so - voilà -

I tell you soon for new videos!

YEAR 1 AND 2 FASHION SCHOOL WORKBOOKS AND Q&A: What to expect at Fashion School! - Duration: 21:01.

Hi everyone! Back in 2017 I finished my second year study at fashion school,

and before I start back at fashion school, which is at the end of February, I thought it might

be a good time to reflect back on what the past two years have been like and give an insight to anyone

who is interested in studying fashion. We will start this video with a small Q&A and then get more in-depth

by going through my school books and showing all the work that goes into it.

Before I begin, there is another reason for why I'm combining both the first and second year of fashion into one video,

I have been to two different schools for both of these years and have discovered that

depending on the Institute they will teach these things in either year.

So if you not taught all of these things in the first year, you're probably Just gonna pick it up in the second year.

While each school who teach the same degree have to follow the specific curriculum,

in my case that is for the Bachelor of design, specializing in fashion design.

There will be some different ways that they like to teach the degree. So while you may not be learning the

exact same stuff as I have, there will be some kind of interchangeable or similar way to it.

On my Instagram, I asked if anyone had any questions about what it was like to study fashion design, and here are your questions.

c_bynes asks: How hard is it to perfect your tailoring and cutting skills?

Usually the first year at fashion school is more focused towards the pattern cutting, drafting, sewing and other

tailoring techniques, more so than the designing itself. Which can be a bit of a downer for anyone

who is more interested in the creative and designing part of fashion.

But it is so important to get those technical skills up to speed. When entering fashion school,

you will meet people with all levels of cutting and tailoring experience

and it can be quite difficult to get into if you haven't done it before. But trust me it gets a lot easier as you practice, and you will have

plenty of opportunities to practice, I can assure you. I'm still far from perfect, but it's not as scary as one might think.

naystardoll asks: To be a stylist, do you have to know how to sew, and what is your favorite brand?

From what I know of, styling has different requirements than designing. You need to understand fashion of course, and fashion school definitely helps with that.

However, sewing isn't usually a significant requirement when it comes to styling in particular.

I have heard of styling courses at fashion schools overseas, which I think would be a great experience,

But we don't really have those kind of resources readily available in New Zealand just yet. There seems to be a lot of expectation around

self-directed education rather than formal education (even though fashion school would definitely help).

When styling, sewing just isn't really as important as other factors as branding, understanding your clients and business, as you're usually

sourcing the clothes and not necessarily making them yourself. My favourite brands are usually more small elusive street brands

particularly from Japan. These being HeiHei and NIIMI among others.

I usually get my fashion fix from following Tokyo Fashion, which feature many different street snaps of Tokyo street styles

which is where I get a lot of my favorite brands and designers from.

lolinha asks: How were the two years of studying fashion? How did you create a collection and how did you learn more about fashion?

These past two years have been a lot, as you will see. Unfortunately I can't show you all of my books

because some are still at school, but it has honestly been a couple of years

which I have learnt a lot from and really appreciate the experience.

I have greatly enjoyed these years (and have cried a lot more than I would like to admit!)

However, this is pretty much what it's gonna be like an any fast-paced learning environment.

While going through the good and the bad,

I feel as if I am growing and improving as both a designer and as an individual.

About how I made my recent collection, my previous video actually goes through the process on how that worked out

and the fashion show at the end of it. However that video didn't show everything that went into the assessment criteria, which I will show you

in a few minutes. The entire process to design and construct a collection takes place over weeks, if not months while at school.

and as the years go by a fashion school, you will slowly take on more responsibilities, and have to make more garments,

but I'm really excited to get into that. Anyway, now's a good time to start looking at my fashion school workbooks, so let's get started!

Before I begin, as I attended two different schools in each of the two years

Some work tends to cross-over which I think works great to show how

differently the same subject can be taught. Just so things are easy to understand,

I will refer to my first year work as 'School A' and my current fashion school as 'School B."

Already you can see there's a considerable difference in the height of these piles, but to be honest

I feel like the same amount of work has actually been done between both years,

It's just that this school really likes things being put into portfolios and looking nice,

which just makes it 'bigger.' Before we got to design anything ourselves

We were taught about the design elements and design principles. As you come to learn more about fashion, these things are incredibly important.

So the way that they were taught in 'School A,' there were actually two separate classes we learned this. And in 'School B'

There was just one class we learned about all this. So the way the assessment was broken up at 'School A', this one is called

'Material' and this one is called 'Dress'

The title of Dress class is a bit misleading because we're not making a dress, We're dress-ing someone

The criteria for this class was to select a partner from the class and then design and make a garment specifically for them.

This was a really fun challenge because I usually make women's fashion,

but I was partnered with a guy and his design tastes are very different to mine,

and that was really fun to see fashion from a different perspective. So here's different artists, seeing if I can interpret some sort of colour

combination with it and applying it to the body. So one thing we both really liked were patches.

While my patches are more colourful and rainbow, his patches are a bit more personalised, screen-printed and very one-colour.

It was really cool trying to experiment with that, and seeing how embroidery and different things can change

how the garment looks. I got really into making these drippy paint prints,

so I was trying to experiment that with sweatshirts and very loose garments,

seeing how that would look. I don't think this turned out that great, but it was very good to just experiment with it

anyway, and even if it didn't work, I know that it didn't work, and I can go on to something else.

So here's my first lineup development. Very loose clothing, lots of patches, lots of straps.

There's also quite a few rips and things. Something I remember from when we talked, is that he quite liked the journey

of fashion; how things can degrade over time, how your journeys and experiences can affect the clothing you wear. So from there,

I started to look into putting personalised images onto patches to show his own personal journey on the clothing he is wearing.

From my final lineup, I decided that I would place patches,

but I would show them flowing down the garment, or flowing across the body as a way to show that as the journey continues,

more and more patches will fill up the garment. I decided to make the little sweatshirt here,

so I was just showing how the patches were gonna be placed on the shirt. The final design,

which I might have drawn up the night before the hand-in, so it's a little bit rough,

but I did a painting as well as showing the process of how I made the final garment.

Here are the patches. It's from a year ago, so it's starting to fall apart.

But, it just shows the different symbols of things around the city, places where he grew or had experiences.

So the criteria for this class was that we had to use the different design elements and principles to create a new material.

And I don't mean material as in a fabric, it could be anything.

So for our secondary research, looking online or looking through books at different pictures, and then throughout the city

I looked at different craft stores and looked at different kinds of textured items, purchased them and seeing how

I can manipulate them to become something different.

Showing different ways to weave things, different threads and their pros and cons of using it.

And began to look at some things that were a bit different, such as not even using thread or fabric at all,

but actually using paint and different mediums to see how they can be combined with something else.

Weaving paper and other materials on a weaving loom as well as trying origami and paper folding techniques.

Things got a little bit weird by weaving wire in with gel medium, so it can be bent around,

gluing eyes onto things. Honestly, the weirder the better I think with this class.

Kinda got a bit too carried away here with the googly eyes and other

materials like that. This is where things really started to come together, so instead of just using the googly eyes on their own

I actually cut the backs out of them and used them as windows.

Then we had to make a final sample which was about A3 size.

Because I didn't have a big weaving loom or anything to tie it to, I ended up getting a chair and

laying the legs back and using that as a weaving loom. The final sample is made from a rainbow wool base, the blue around here is

a combination of blue paint, blue glitter and lots of glue. The glitter doesn't flake off or anything and it's actually quite squishy

so it's really fun to play around with. All the samples that were shown in this book have been stuck into my big portfolio.

It's much nicer to see them in real life and see how they sparkle,

as well as the texture and how different it is. This was one of the weirder classes that I took,

But it was really fun to just go a bit loose and a bit crazy on things so yeah!

This class is called creative process,

and we had to put a portfolio called 'Ways of Seeing', which is just us demonstrating our understanding of the different design elements and principles.

So we had to build different sections, title pages, showing primary and secondary research.

We took little field trips going around the city, taking photos, which is our primary research.

Then looking online and in books from other artists and designers,

and that worked as our secondary research. And from our research we had to make a couple of exercises showing our understanding, so here I

did things like using tracing paper over images to create a print.

I won't show all of it, but I'll just browse through and show you a couple pages.

So for Shape and Form, we used paper cutouts and other 3D objects

to apply it to the model, and then traced over to see how it manipulated the body

I think tracing paper works well to make everything look a little bit more professional.

Especially considering that I was using my phone camera to take all these photos.

For Texture, we went around the city and took rubbings of things like the concrete or grates, anything that had an interesting texture to it.

And then we applied it to models here, to once again create some form of print.

My favorite section is colour, because we took our primary research and made colour palettes out of them.

And from there, we created different tints and tones and messed with some very basic prints

to see how they would change depending on the color used. Pressed some flowers to see how the color changes over time.

Just more drawing images and overlays, and I always have to put something holographic in here somewhere..

so that's my contribution. I love this water marbling, I cannot recommend it enough. It is

really good and an easy way to put colour into something. A class you will definitely learn within the first year is patternmaking/drafting.

This is what I learned from 'School A' and this is what I learned from 'School B'.

From both schools, we did all of our planning on paper,

so it's a lot easier to understand and you can just carry it with you whenever. Patternmaking is very focused around mathematics

as well as visualizing (before drafting it up to a bigger size),

so if you're like me and not very good at math, don't worry! Just use a calculator, it's saved me quite a few times.

We start off with very simple things, drafting blocks as well as doing things like t-shirt dresses and gathering.

The interesting part of patternmaking is that we learnt how to draft the patterns up in two different ways. The first way is that you

can use normal paper, a very large sheet that you are able to get very hands-on and draft it up.

The other way to draft patterns is that you can do it on the computer, using a digital patternmaking system.

And that is what I did here, I just took screenshots off the pattern and just wrote up the measurements on top so I can use them whenever.

And here is where we get into my collection patternmaking so this is from the mini-collection

I made at the end of last year. Not only did we have to show the technical drawing,

but our mock-ups and the process we took to draft the pattern. So these pages are

dedicated towards the two t-shirts that I had. They were both very simple patterns

So they weren't that hard to do. This is for the bomber jacket,

Which was probably the more complicated garment to make because it had a full lining. The hoodie dress, which I

really love and I'm going to keep this pattern and use it in the future. And on the digital patternmaking system

I drafted up both the denim skirt, as well as the jeans. One thing that also helped me, when drafting a lot of the garments use the same

same templates and symbols. So what we did is that we made little cutouts of the blocks that we did

And just trace around them. It made everything so much faster.

Considering we learnt this all in a very short amount of time, I am very happy with how everything turned out and everything fitted very well.

So, thank goodness. Patternmaking for 'School A' was actually one class, but I ended up putting it into two books.

This course us mostly just a basic introductory

To patternmaking. We never actually make any garments. Instead, we made paper toiles which is a downright pain when you had to tape

The clothing to the model, otherwise everything went pretty well I think.

This class mostly focused only around dresses and skirts, very basic forms.

We had to make six individual concepts, and with each concept we had to show how we made the pattern from the block.

So, showing how we cut into the pattern and manipulated it to look completely different.

It really helps colour-coding these things, because I would have been completely lost if I didn't. The final design was expected to be the most complex one,

and then showing the development and how it was done.

Lots of research here, we had to show our process of the class exercises we did.

The dresses here weren't very complicated at all. They were very basic, fitted or only slightly loose garments.

We weren't really taught that much beyond it, so this is why I think this is the most basic

introductory course you could get on this subject. I think this class was really good for anyone who hasn't done fashion before,

because it can be quite daunting starting off. So doing something a bit more simpler can really make a difference.

This book is so full that it's starting to fall apart!

But it is a combination between 'School A' and 'School B', and this class is Construction class.

We're expected to build a portfolio around all the techniques we had learned. There is also a bit of patternmaking in here as well.

If you haven't studied fashion before it's really good, because it starts with the basics like seams. And as you go through you start

learning other techniques, like different pockets. It's also really handy to keep construction notes on how to put them together because I

instantly forget it as soon as we've learnt something like this. So to keep notes or at least take photos of it really helps.

We learnt about zippers, pant flies,

Waistbands.. so even if you're not very good at doing some of the more complicated techniques,

there are the simple ones that you can master very easily. What I did find interesting because this is a page from 'School B',

we only let this in one week, which is about the panel lines and dart manipulation. Whereas this took us six months at 'School A'.

It doesn't necessarily mean that one school did it better than the other. It just shows that there are differences to how they like

to teach and what different schools like to focus on. There's a lot of work here, I can't really show it all. Once you get into fashion school you learn all these things yourself,

It's not as daunting as one might think. And it's really helpful to keep this around, or keep it in a cupboard somewhere, so you don't lose it.

This book is from both the patternmaking and construction class.

At fashion school, you would definitely be building these spec sheets, but they will probably look quite different to this.

So for each garment we made or were expected to make,

we had to build these spec sheets showing our fabric samples, any techniques we were going to use as well as any trims

that we needed to get before then. Some of these I've done at home on my own of garments that I've already made,

but I want to remember the different techniques I did so if I wanted to make it again, I could.

This is a spec sheet for the bomber jacket that I finished recently, so it was really handy to have this on hold

so I can use it anytime I wanted. And these are a couple of the spec sheets that I had for the mini-collection,

the rest of them are at school unfortunately. So this book in particular is very heavy. A lot of work has gone into it and the class for it is Textiles.

It's probably not that interesting to just look at, you really need to read through it and there's just too much of it to show.

The class was focused around showing understanding of different fibre types as well as different fabric weaves.

Here's a lot.. a lot of stuff that we had to do. Just showing our

understanding as well as building a resource that we can use later on.

So we've got our protein fibers, cellulosic fibers and synthetic fibers..

Just a lot of stuff here. Doing things like burnt tests, so we know how to identify different fibres.

Different kinds of twists and yarns. If this is stuff that seems unfamiliar to you, don't worry.

You're gonna learn all of this within the first year,

It's exactly what you go to the school for. My favourite part was more about the dyeing process,

so seeing color fastness,

How dfferent processes can affect how much color stays in or the color itself. Tea dyeing,

so with different types of tea. Most of this is just writing, so it is a difficult thing to put into a video.

These are both from 'School B' and are both garment assessment workbooks.

We're expected to both design and make a garment. This is from the end-of-year mini collection,

And then this is from a shirt assessment we did earlier on. It was originally in a book, but the folder broke recently,

so we're just gonna have to make do. The assessment criteria for this was to design and make a shirt with specific construction techniques.

Everything else like the inspiration and style was up to us.

So my concept was "To design a shirt which appears to combine both the real world and the digital realm."

Compulsory research, looking at the history of shirts and designers that I found quite interesting

and I thought were relevant for my design development. I quite liked this part because involved colour and photo manipulation.

So I took a couple of photos around the city and pixelated them,

and then turn them into some sort of fabric print to see how that affected the body.

Then continuing from this, I used paper and cut out various shapes

and stuck them onto models. Some worked out better than others.

One thing i've noticed about fashion school is that they really love when you experiment with different techniques and processes.

So this is something very digital, then back to traditional, and digital again, but in a different way.

Quick design development. There were specific techniques and processes we had to put into our final garment,

so I was trying to play with that to see how I could also make that work with my concept. A little bit more

experimentation with pixelating the body and seeing how that affects things. Going from the pixel art I did earlier,

I ended up starting to make some stencils that I would apply to the fabric.

Starting to think about ideas like if the fabric wasn't meant to look like this, it's broken like a broken texture in a video game.

I ended up finding this really cool patched denim fabric and made it into this cool

pixelated broken-image-thing, and that ended up being the main fabric for my final garment.

So once the final design was made, we had to do this thing called a 'storyboard.'

This is mostly just to show the final designs; front and back view, swatches, what it's about as well as a bit of the inspiration behind it.

Here's a little bit about it, "The technology behind the shirt dress has been created from has

malfunctioned and distorted from the original design as a result. The shell of the garment is still intact,

but visually it seems corrupt and fragmented."

So here's the final garment. The denim patch fabric actually came patched as it is, but these little blue squares

I had to cut out and sew in individually.

This is a fun little extra. When I have concept designs or drawings that don't really fit any of my portfolios

I make them into a little scrapbook which I can use later and keep a hold of them.

This is all from 'School A', little concept jacket designs and other little space inspired garments.

Concepts from the end of year collection that just never made it into the workbook.

Here's something, we had to do a technical drawing assessment,

so instead of doing the technical drawings on the computer, we had to do them on pen and paper, and show the details of different garments.

Different garment details on shirts, pants and other things. This book here is from the mini collection,

which I made only a few months ago. I've already shown this book on my channel,

so feel free to check out my previous video to see how it all went as well as how I made the final garments.

I will show you all a few pages anyway,

this is the design that I wanted to print on the back of the shirt. As I keep going and as I keep

designing I actually wanted to make two final designs. Much of this collection was based around space and the infinity of it,

so there's a lot of space symbolism and stars.

These two were the final proposed designs to be screen-printed onto the shirts,

and here are one of the shirts to show what they look like.

This is the back of the shirt. The print itself is about A3 size,

and then on the front of the shirt there's a much smaller and similar design.

Not only did I design t-shirts, but there was also a bomber jacket, a hoodie dress, denim skirt..

All together there were about six garments.

So here was the final design of the bomber jacket, the denim skirt as well as the t-shirt you just saw. And here is the final bomber jacket star.

So yeah!, That's pretty much all that there is to show so far.

I hope this has helped anyone interested in studying fashion design,

and given some sort of insight to what it's like. If you have any further questions,

feel free to ask them below or contact me on social media. I hope you all have a wonderful day,

thank you for watching, and I'll see you later!

Remove Stuck Oil Filter Toyota Prius Corolla Scion Lexus - Duration: 6:55.

Today I was presented with the toughest oil filter I have ever had to remove.

It's a very common filter. It's on a lot of Toyotas. It's on the Prius, Corollas, Rav4

It's even on some of the Lexus. Tons of threads out there by people having a heck

of a time getting these off when they're over tightened. Even Toyota printed on

their box: What's that say techs? "DO NOT OVER TORQUE!"

Well somebody definitely went to town on the one I'm working on. These are some of

the tools I've had a lot of luck with in the past. This is a pretty standard metal

strap wrench. It's adjustable. Nope, it did not work on this one. This guy has always

worked. A nylon strap wrench that gets tighter as you use it. Nope! Here's the jaws of death.

It often destroys the filter, but it always got it off. Not this time!

Now we're looking at, this is made for the actual filter. Notice the top will

take either a 27 millimeter or you could plug a socket directly onto it.

Inside you've got fourteen flutes that fit the top and you've got teeth to fit

the ears on the filter cap. Here's the 27mm that I'm going to use to ah - on the top of it.

I'm gonna save you time since I've

already tried it by hand, we're now moving on to - this is the latest and

greatest impact wrench. The maximum setting on this is 300 FT-LBs (according to Ryobi).

Now where is this little bugger? Well, it's right under the passenger

wheel axle. It's right next to it. There it is just waiting. Now I've already

tried all those other tools that I've shown you. So let's go ahead and try this

cast metal cap wrench that's designed specifically for the Toyota filters.

This is just a test. I just wanted to demonstrate how it only fits one way.

Okay so we've got that on there and we've got our 27mm socket.

There's plenty of room, so let's go ahead and put the socket on the impact wrench.

It's on maximum setting. Again, 300 FT-LBs. Here we go.

Okay, that broke so fast you probably missed it.

Look at the teeth on that cap wrench on the bottom. There, okay one of

them blasted right off. So I'm going to fast-forward this a little bit to save you

guys some time. I worked on this for a little while and I kept at it.

Maximum setting again. A wonderful ranch by the way. And there we have glory! Oh that's worth watching again.

Let's watch it in slow-mo. Finally! I tried everything on this thing.

It finally come loose. It's still a little too tight for hand so I'm gonna go ahead and

take it a few more turns with the power wrench. Alright! Fantastic, now I can

finish taking it off by hand and we can have a look at how old this filter is.

Probably - I just this just came across me, but I'll tell you this filter

probably hasn't been changed for a while, given how hard it was to get it out.

So sure enough it is a very dirty, old filter so I'm going to be glad to get rid of that.

I'm sure the car is going to be happy now.

The brand new filter comes with an o-ring< And then I went ahead and picked

up this is the filler plug gasket. It's good to replace that as well. Here's the old one.

So we'll go ahead and put a new gasket on the filler plug as well.

Now if I pull up close you can see here where one of the ears is sheared off of the filter cap.

And then here's where one of the teeth broke right off the cap wrench.

I had to hammer like crazy to separate these things. They were really seized.

Now you can see the effects of various attempts to get this thing off.

You can see where the clamp wrench was gripped on. And this is the you know

here's the broken tooth on the on the cap wrench. So the new filter is on there.

To get the old o-ring off, you don't have to dig out it with a screwdriver or anything.

Just go ahead and squeeze it forward and it will pucker up and you will

be able to grab it and pull it off. And the new one, just put it on the clean

side over the filter like that. And once it's in the correct place, just put a

little oil, rub a little oil on there and it should be good. The Box does have

instructions. At least the OEM box has instructions. So you can make sure you get

the o-ring in the right place. And there's a few other useful instructions

on the box too. Well let's get this new filter on the car.

I've got it hand screwed on a little bit now. Forgive me, I'm gonna resist any temptation to put a

power tool on here. I'm just going to tighten this by hand.

Toyota's recommended torque (yes there is a recommended torque for this) it's less

than the filler plug. It's 18 FT-LBs. I recommend quite snug - that should be sufficient.

What you won't find are a bunch of Internet threads talking about

how these things fall off all the time because they're too loose. What do you do next?

You put the fresh oil in. in case you didn't

know, this is where that happens. What kind of oil do we put in? Well at least

with the Prius anyway, they like 0W20. So we're gonna go with the zero weight.

How much do we put in? Well as you can see I drained it into this container.

This is how much I took out. Liters on the left, Quarts on the right.

A little less than four quarts. So let's start with that. Once you've got your oil in

and you've got your level set, then we can go ahead and let the car know that

we changed the oil. We're going to do that by resetting the oil service light.

First, make sure that you're in Trip-A mode.

Then, shut things off. Keep your feet off the pedals. Now go ahead and hold down

that kilometre button. While you're holding it, press the power button once.

Now press the power button again. You'll hear five nice little chimes to tell you

you did it right. Okay, well that was definitely the toughest filter

I've ever had to take off somebody definitely over-torqued that thing.

If this helped you guys out, I hope you'll give a thumbs up and subscribe. Maybe share this

with somebody trying to do the same thing. Thanks for watching.

Qurani Kerim | 96- Al-Alaq

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

(1) Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-

(2) Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood:

(3) Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-

(4) He Who taught (the use of) the pen,-

(5) Taught man that which he knew not.

(6) Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds,

(7) In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient.

(8) Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all).

(9) Seest thou one who forbids-

(10) A votary when he (turns) to pray?

(11) Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?-

(12) Or enjoins Righteousness?

(13) Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away?

(14)Knoweth he not that Allah doth see?

(15) Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,-

(16) A lying, sinful forelock!

(17) Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades):

(18) We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)!

(19) Nay, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)!
