Youtube daily report Jan 31 2018

Hi, I'm Dr. Hackie Reitman; we're continuing our conversation with my friend, Dr. Bankole

Johnson from the University of Maryland, who is one of the world's authorities on the brain

and addiction and so much more.

Cole, welcome to our show.

Thank you for having me on your show.

It is great to be here and I'm looking forward to our discussion this afternoon.

I noticed on your, uhh, your fascinating website, BankoleJohnson.com, you're quite a writer

and you write a lot of stories and everything but you also take note of certain, uhh, news

stories going on and, umm, I'd like to get your comments on the opioid crisis and the

recent emergency that was declared about it.

Well, as you know, the opioid crisis is upon us and it seems to be deeply rather than getting

any better and for the first time, umm, the lifespan of individuals in the United States

is decreasing.

And that tells you that it's a powerful, it's producing a powerful toll in the economy and

this is going to be a toll that must be borne by our health system.

But there are many reasons why this has happened, but one of the myths to discount, to really

dispel is that this is not a simple phenomenon because people are bringing more drugs into

the United States.

That's probably true.

But this was a crisis, I think, primarily created because doctors couldn't treat pain

very well and being told they weren't giving enough pain treatment and pain medication

to the point where now doctors were overprescribing pain medication and now the number of people

who were affected has mushroomed.

You know, I can give you a very simple example, I, I was at a hospital; it was about a year

ago.

I had a chest infection, and I was given some Oxycodone tablets to take to reduce my cough,

and even when I left and I was given my discharge prescription, I was given 60 tablets of Oxycodone.

Who needs 60 tablets of Oxycodone?

But the protocols were I got 60 tablets of Oxycodone.

Now, if I took those Oxy-, uhh, as soon as I got home, and I, my, my wife opened the

packet and she saw all these Oxycodone tablets, she did the smart thing.

She just opened up the, the, the loo and then she dumped all, practically all of them in

them and that was it, but you can imagine if you had those sitting on your shelf and

now you have something else happened, well, here's now some Oxycodone for something else,

and here's now continuous Oxycodone.

Now, umm, your family now has access to it.

Lord forbid your kids have access to it.

So there are so many of these tablets that were being dispensed that the level of addiction

was being picked up.

The second point was, I think, a lack of good medical training.

You know, if you in a, almost any university in the United States, I always tease, and

it sometimes gets me into trouble, you know, but, you know we had, uhh, a sort of ebola

crisis in the United States, and we all had to stop to learn about ebola and how to detect

cases, so it actually took probably a week to a month of most doctor's time to get up

to speed.

Well, where were all the cases?

Yet when you go to medical school, you get probably two weeks of trea-, uhh, work and

help on learning how to treat pain.

You get a couple of weeks of addiction and no one's teaching you how to deal with the

opioid crisis.

Yet it's what killing 64 to 65 thousand Americans.

So in a sense, the medical system and the medical curriculum will very slowly and not

responsive in the way to helping young doctors learn how to treat pain and addiction better.

And, you know that I consider pain a neurodiversity and that neuroplasticity changes the wiring

in your brain as you go.

Umm, American medical schools and residencies give very little training for pain, for autism,

for Alzheimer's.

It just isn't unless you sub-sub-subspecialize.

The other thing I would like just want to mention is that the, the, the other elephant

in the room is I remember when Oxyc ontin first came out, Oxycodone and everything.

The, umm, the drug rep was saying that it's unlike Percodan and Percoset, it's not addictive,

it doesn't give you a buzz.

You don't have to worry about that, and I was always of the ilk that I would educate

the patient, like before I did arthroscopic surgery: I'm going to give you a cryo cuff;

you're going to come in the day after the surgery; you're going to be walking; I'm going

to give you maybe three pain killers but I don't think you'll need them.

I put all the positive things in.

Some of my partners thought I was a little bit draconian that way, but I rather have

the patient call me because you're not supposed to have pain, you know, and so forth.

So at the time, I was boxing and I was down at the gym in Miami, down at the old 5th Street

Gym, and, uhh, a lot of times, some of the fighters, you know many of them have been

in and out of jail and they're all nice in the gym but you know, they've been around

and they're trying to hustle, so, "Hey, doc," they would come up, "Can I have

a Percodan, my back is hurting," and I tell them, "Come on you know better, I'm not

going to do anything like that."

So one day, after the drug reps were around and everything and "You can't get a buzz

from this," and "Just give it every 12 hours," I'm down at the gym and one of the

usual suspects comes up and says "Hey Hackie.

You know, my back's really hurting.

Can you get me some oxycodone?"

And I said, "You know I'm not going to do that."

I said, "But by the way, the drug rep told me that you don't get a buzz out of that,

it doesn't get you high, and it's not really like that."

And he said, "Well, you ask the drug rep why I'm getting $5 for a Percodan and $10

for an Oxycodone."

And I notified the drug company.

I tried to get through, because you know I was very idealistic about it and I thought

maybe it was an honest mistake.

But the fact of the matter is these, as you well point out, these prescriptions for 60

strong pain killers or 90 or whatever.

They're unnecessary, and that, but people are following protocol and I think you know

one of the important aspects of pain management is everybody thinks that pain is simply a

sensation.

Pain is very complex and is represented in most of us, umm, in the parts of the brain

that are also associated with mood regulation and that's why various people have various

levels of thresholds and appreciation of pain and therefore the treatment of pain leads

to be more, I would say more complex.

Not everybody requires an opiate because they have pain.

Some people may require behavioral treatments, some people may benefit from talk therapy,

some may benefit from yoga, some people will benefit from electrical stimulation, some

people will have various complications including their medicine… but to simply have an opiate

narcotic as the only armamentarium to treat someone with pain is pretty poor treatment

of pain indeed and patients don't tend to be satisfied by that approach either.

Can you talk about some of the, umm, organic or biological pathways that are expressed

when one is taught breathing exercises for pain which seem to help quite a bit?

Well most of the breathing exercises are associated with reducing stimulation through our suppression

of activity and activation of more vagal stimuli.

So then the person feels calmer and the person is able to take deeper breaths.

That actually has an impact on brain neurochemistry.

More recently it has been suggested that deep breathing exercises and such do tend to affect

also other neurochemicals in the brain, specifically dopamine.

And those produce, if you like, umm, because dopamine is also linked and correlates with

opioids in the, in the brain, it actually produces a sort of euphoric effect.

Now people won't feel pure euphoria but they will feel relaxation; they feel a reduction

in tension… and then the use of either deep breathing exercises or actual physical exercise:

riding a bike or being in the gym, might also be important for the modulation of pain and

the modulation of addictive processes, and that is actually being studied quite actively

now in the national institutes of health because the more we can incorporate our understanding

of more natural ways to improve our mental health, the better actually it is for everyone

to be able to, uhh, prevent, uhh, mental illness and mental disease.

You know, one of the jokes as I came as I told you this morning, I said, "You know,

not many people wake up and say, 'Gosh what am I going to do for my brain today?

How am I going to optimize my brain today and make sure it's in great working order?'

You know, the same people who'd get out of bed and say, 'Gosh I've got to go for

my five mile ride.'"

They never think about, you know, what to do with your brain or what nutrients to, to

have.

But I think as awareness advances, people will realize, I hope, that having a healthy

brain is just, perhaps, I would argue, even more important than many aspects of physical

strain because your brain conditions really how your body reacts and how your body can

actually help you understand the world and to appreciate and enjoy the world.

So one of the other things is and I tell this to my residents, and, uhh, if, if, if, if

a patient came to you and you were an esteemed psychiatrist, you took out your pen and your

wrote out on your prescription pad "This patient is completely free of all mental disorders

and I declare the patient to be completely sane, logical, and fully responsible."

and you sign it "Dr. X" and you gave it to the patient to present to someone at work

every day, people are going to laugh at it because they are going to say it sounds ridiculous

for us doctors to write notes saying "This person is completely free of physical illness,

physical pain, and is absolutely able to do their job."

So our understanding of this dichotomy between our physical health and mental health is very

important.

The second, uhh, piece of this is most people don't think about prevention, you know,

especially psychiatrists.

Psychiatrists think more about mental illness and I'm beginning to try and work with my

old faculty at the University of Maryland to focus on mental wellness because if you

can get people to be able to look after their mental health, regulate their stress, take

in the right nutrients, be able to appreciate when they have risks to their medical health

and what to do about it long before they become mentally ill, then that is an important step

to be able to improve the wellness of the community and a well community performs better

than one that is not very well and that is stressed out.

Cole, what is the single most important message in your view that you can give our viewers

regarding addiction?

The best advice is that if you feel you have a problem with addiction that you should see

your f-, your family practitioner or your doctor.

And the reason is if I'm your practitioner doctor I'll be able to take a full physical

and medical history from you and be able to determine whether you need appropriate treatment.

One of the other things we found is that most individuals who have an addiction have all

sorts of other disorders that are not being attended to, whether it's their heart, their

lungs, their blood pressure, or diabetes and so getting a good health check is important.

The best message for hope is that addictive disorders are treatable and people do get

better and worrying about being stigmatized by going to see a doctor is the wrong worry.

It is better to be treated and well than to die of ignorance or to be harmed by ignorance.

So it's much better to go to your doc and get the treatment.

Does the average doctor know about this stuff?

Not as much as they should, to be honest.

I think it's now behooving on a lot of specialists and the national institutes of health and

also universities who have people who are knowledgeable to spread this knowledge and

also people like you who are spreading this knowledge through the neurodiversity programs

that you have.

It is very important for that pressure to be put on for people to have public education.

Uhh, take, for example, smoking.

You know, before, umm, you know, Sir, Sir Richard Doll came out with the, uh, epidemiological

study, a lot of people smoked.

Doctors smoked and look how much has been achieved by public awareness of smoking and

preventative health, and smoking rates have gone down so much so that tobacco companies

have to find different populations to influence and basically different parts of the world

to, to sell their, to sell their tobacco.

Sure, and the Mothers Against Drunk Driving or the men's one, wi-, the reason that driving

drunk became not cool to do.

When I was growing up it was cool to drive drunk.

Then Mothers Against Drunk Driving came out.

It is not cool to drink and drive at all.

That's for sure; that's for sure.

It's been a pleasure having you here.

We've been speaking today with Dr. Bankole Johnson again.

Thanks so much for returning; you're terrific.

Keep up the great work and thanks so much for being here at Different Brains.

Thank you so much Hackie and I admire everything you're doing, uhh, in neurodiversity and it's

a pleasure to haven been on your show and good luck with everything.

You're really doing a stellar job educating the public.

Thank you.

BREAKING News Out Of NYC – He's Just Been Found Dead After Exposing The Clintons – This Is HUGE! - Duration: 6:28.

BREAKING News Out Of NYC – He's Just Been Found Dead After Exposing The Clintons – This

Is HUGE!

Another day and another dead body with a connection that cannot be ignored as Hillary Clinton's

body count seems to be on the rise once again, after a brief reprieve of no sudden, mysterious

casualties.

The latest is possibly the most shocking yet in the truly startling trail of dead bodies

that keep accumulating around this crooked woman with major secrets she's desperate

to keep hidden no matter who has she has to kill off to ensure it.

It didn't take long for her latest victim to be found dead in his pricey New York City

apartment by his 11-year-old daughter who discovered his death that's strangely been

ruled a "suicide" even though how it happened suggests otherwise.

In what's being reported as a famous surgeon to the star's unexpected suicide brought

on by stress, the timing of his death after what he just exposed of Hillary's cannot

be ignored.

Why would a wealthy, acclaimed trauma surgeon with three young daughters kill himself in

a particularly gruesome manner in his home?

We're not the only one asking this very important question.

The way he died would have been particularly difficult to do to himself.

Furthermore, when his daughter found him and called for help, she reported it as an assault,

a fact that Democrats are desperate to hide.

The New York Daily News reports:

Investigators were treating the death of Dr. Dean Lorich as an apparent suicide, sources

said.

"He was under some personal stress," a police source said.

The surgeon was home with his daughter, police said, adding there were no signs of forced

entry at the tony Upper East Side apartment at Park Ave. and E. 96th St.

The girl alerted the building's doorman, who called 911.

Police said the call was regarding an assault.

Cops found the 54-year-old doctor's body in the bathroom around 1 p.m.

The knife was near his heart, a source said.

Lorich's wife was playing tennis at the time, police said.

Lorich, a father of three girls, was the associate director of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service

at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

He was also a professor at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Although he's known for his many accomplishments and treating notable figures like U2's Bono

and was also on a team of doctors who helped NYPD Officer Tarrell Lee recover after an

SUV plowed him over, his alleged connection to the Clintons has just surfaced.

Neon Nettle reports:

One of the United States' leading surgeons, who exposed misappropriation of funds by the

Clinton Foundation in Haiti, has been found dead after being stabbed in the torso.Dr.

Dean Lorich was found on the bathroom floor of his New York apartment by his 11-year-old

daughter with a knife still stuck in his chest at around 1 pm on Monday.

Those who follow Wikileaks and have investigated Hillary Clinton's emails may recognize Dr.

Dean Lorich's name already.

In 2010, Lorich was part of a relief effort that flew to Haiti as a volunteer to offer

his skills for civilians who had been injured during the earthquakes that devastated the

region.

Within 24 hours of the earthquake, a 13-member team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating

room nurses was assembled, with a massive amount of orthopedic operating room equipment,

and flew to Port-au-Prince with Dr. Lorich.

Bill and Hillary Clinton's "charitable" Clinton foundation led the relief effort in

Haiti raising millions of dollars from around the world to help the people recover from

the natural disaster.

Sadly, most of the funds never reached the people of Haiti, but instead, lined the pockets

of the Clintons' associates who were meant to redevelop the nation, but never delivered.

Dr. Lorich and his team were there to help save the limbs of those injured, which without

the proper medical treatment, would have meant amputation for a lot of people.

Lorich described amputation in those conditions as a "death sentence" and hoped to treat

as many sufferers as possible, saying:

"We expected many amputations.

"But we thought we could save limbs that were salvageable, particularly those of children.

"We recognized that in an underdeveloped country, a limb amputation may be a death

sentence.

"It does not have to be so."

With the amount of money that was being donated to Haiti for the victims, Lorich and his team

expected to have full support when their plane touched down.

Instead, he described the situation as "shameful" and witnessed, first hand, a huge misappropriation

of funds, with the people affected by the disaster receiving no help whatsoever.

Dr. Lorich was disgusted by what he saw and sent an email to then-Secretary of State Hillary

Clinton's Cheif of Staff Cheryl D. Mills to report what he had seen.

The email was forwarded to Hillary Clinton which meant it then found it's way into

WikiLeaks' possession and can be read here.

Unsatisfied with the lack of response from Clinton's people, despite the fact that

they had clearly read his email, Lorich wrote an article for CNN that exposed what he found

when he arrived in Haiti.

"We found scores of patients with pus dripping out of open extremity fractures and crush

injuries," reported Lorich.

"Some wounds were already ridden with maggots.

"About a third of these victims were children.

"The entire hospital smelled of infected, rotting limbs and death.

"Later on, we would judge our surgical progress by the diminishment of the stench.

"As we got up and running and organized the patients for surgery, we told our contacts

in the United States [the Clintons] what we needed."

Unfortunately, that help never arrived.

"We left feeling as if we abandoned these patients, the country, and its people, and

we feel terrible," said Lorich, adding: "Upon our departure, we witnessed pallets

of Cheerios and dry goods sitting on the tarmac helping nobody.

"Yet our flight of critical medical equipment and personnel had been canceled.

"Our role back in New York is to expose the inadequacies of the system in the hopes

of effecting change immediately."

Dr. Lorich's reports on Haiti shone a huge spotlight on the level of corruption that

was taking place in Haiti while Bill and Hillary Clinton reaped the praise as the faces of

the relief effort.

Hillary Clinton never seems to be able to escape scandal and as long as she's a free

woman, rather than being locked up where she belongs, she will be continued to be questioned

in everything that she has any kind of connection to.

What do you think about this?

Over 50 Anti Aging Evening Skin Care Routine - Duration: 14:21.

okay so before we get started here let's take it close-up of my skin well hold on

I need to present you with a disclaimer before we go any farther I'm not a

doctor I am NOT a skin care professional in any way shape or form I'm not

qualified to give you any medical or skincare advice I'm merely showing you

as requested what I do with my own skin and this is my evening routine thank you

I want you guys just see in full-hd is the reason I'm doing this how much my

skin has improved in just the two months that I've been doing this skin care

routine after the drunk elephant Fiasco I will be at the six-month mark showing

you the difference between where I left off with drunk elephant and where I am

at that point I do want to make a video before then about a couple of devices

that I use and in that one I have some movie clips and pictures that didn't get

included in the drunk elephant video that I want to show you I'm putting on

the black one because I like it better okay so I just took off these and you

can refer to my daytime routine if you don't understand these scrunchies are

doing but the first thing that I do is I plop down in front of a television and I

stick coconut organic coconut oil in my mouth and I began to do my evening pull

with coconut oil and while I'm doing that I take makeup wipes so these are

ponds evening soothe but ponds wipes and then I

remove my makeup okay then I will come in with Lancome bifacil and a Shisedo

cotton round and I will take off my eye makeup make sure I've got all of that

off really good after that I go into the bathroom and I use this it is survey

renewing sa cleaner salicylic acid cleanser and I wash my face really good

with that now we're caught up to speed that's that's where we are after I've

gotten my face off cleansed then I will come in and I will take another Shiseido

wipe and micellar water and just go over my face and throat just to make sure

everything is in fact off my face so making sure then I have everything off

my face and while it's still damp from the micellar water I go in with the

first thing that I use which is marula oil okay so start with the lightest

thing so this marula oil is by Shea Terra and

I just put some in my hand now because this is a 2 ounce bottle

it's pump is longer so it only takes one pump and that's

plenty to go over your face and then I just tap it here here up here I just

start tapping it around my face down my neck and decollete ok then I start doing

the tap and thing again if you watched my daytime I think you kind of get that

I like doing this and I just watch TV and press this all into my skin in case

you're wondering I'm filming this on a Thursday night I don't mind how long

this takes I mean I will sit here and do this

forever okay because I have a good time with my skincare it's my knee time then

I go in with another oil so this well oh gosh please don't judge my bottle

I don't know what happened but this is Cacay naturals oil and I used this oil

on my face every single night I think maybe I'm not supposed to use it every

night but I do and all I use is two drops just two it goes a long way and I

put it over here over here and then in the same manner I just work that into my

skin so second oil I don't know I guess it wouldn't hurt anything if I mixed

them marula oil is mixed with all kinds of stuff in the drunk elephant line I

just enjoy my skincare so I'm sure that you could mix these two together and say

the stuff but I just pop that into my skin next thing I do while that oil is

sinking in is I use the eye cream right now this is different I cream it's still

by timeless but this one is the one that gets its in the purple container this

one helps to get rid of dark spots while this is sinking in I have been on a Beenigma

thing. Beenigma was sent this to me and I've been using Beenigma every

single night on my forehead only because you know I'm not ready to report results

yet I don't know that I've used it long enough I understand you have to use it a

long time but I just dip in like that and get some Beenigma and I bring it

between my eyes and all along my forehead and like this I just want to

see if it will do something different to my forehead then it's then the rest of

my face is getting so Beenigma goes on my forehead every single night this I

don't know if anyone realizes I went back on this Oh three weeks ago okay so

three times a week Monday Wednesday Friday

I put my care post on this isn't a care press night so that's not what I do

tonight but I'm just saying three times a week I use care first so then the next

thing that I do is I take castor oil okay see now that I cream that I was

using from timeless it's all sunk in now so the next thing I do is I take black

castor oil and I take it and I I get it on my finger like so I rub that

together and then I come up underneath my lashes and I rub this way first and

then I start working it into my lashline both top and bottom like that and then I

bring it underneath my eyes because I think it is amazing I love black castor

oil and then whatever's left they go like this over my eyebrows this stuff is

responsible for my eyebrows growing back I now have arches and brows that I can

fill in I didn't get rid of this I love this stuff I just supplement it with

care pros three times a week for extra long and thick luscious lashes now

before I finish up my face what I do is I use this this is the Nivea skin

firming and smoothing Anne Marie talked about this and I'll try and find it a link

that video below I think what I use it for here's my neck I bring it up

underneath my chin like this and down my neck the next thing I do is I take my PM

my CeraVe PM okay and I'm only doing this because I have this I have this

leftover from before I started drunk elephants skin care so why not use it but you know

after it's over I'll probably just continue to use this but what I do is I

take a pump of this into my hand and one of the CeraVe p.m. which this is the one

I recommend that you that you use this is the one I will use when the yellow

stuffs all gone I mean the yellow stuff is nice but I really like this so and I

just mix these two together and Pat it all over last step then is my Carmex

and it's all good I need to get a new one but you know you can always scrape a

little bit out and I get it everywhere that's it for Thursday okay

on Wednesday I use this this is the trophy skin labelle and I'm gonna do a

video on this device on Friday night I get out my microdermabrasion system so

it's in here and I have a whole video on that I will link if you want to see a

demonstration on how you use this but this this system here if you go back a

couple of years ago I had this persistent age spot that drove me crazy

no matter what I do it couldn't cover that thing and I mean I put concealer on

and then and then you could see through it and I mean I just did everything you

could think of and I was just beside myself over it and this system got rid

of that it reduced my pore size it I mean my pores are in really good shape

now there was an age spot that this one here's lightened up since I've been back

on this if you have deep set wrinkles this isn't gonna do it okay

maybe go see your dermatologist and find out what they may or may not be able to

do to help you but if you're like me and you just have like fine lines and

wrinkles this thing will greatly diminish those it'll take away your

hyperpigmentation it will reduce the pore size it these little lines that you

have above your lip this thing here so when do I mask because I love

I will do I won't if I'm gonna do this mask this is a wonderful mass by omg and

no I'm not affiliated with OMG I get nothing for all these headbands are

wearing these masks and this mask here is my favourite it's a two-in-one and

it's a bubble mask any like little bubbles on your face your skin will feel

amazing but I don't do this on a night I've done a skin device what I do on those

night is one of these I like getting these dermal masks they come in packs of

like 16 or whatever on Amazon I'll see if I can find the link and put that

below they're always extremely moisturizing they're always really full

you could put that on your skin and then I use the silicone mask because I love

to scare my family and I put this over the mask okay and you could wear it for

hours then you can even take this off and like put this in a ziploc bag and

reuse it but why don't cost that much so I put this on here to hold it you run

around the house and whatnot but these here they have a lot of moisture see

and you put it on there just feel so good and after I do my my

microdermabrasion I just feel so good there's always enough serum in the

bottom of this that you can pour it and put it on your arms and your decollete

and they're just really generous with the serums and these Korean masks I love

them at this point I'm still not using any retin-a I'm still not doing micro

needling or anything like that but I really don't think I need to I think the

trophy skin itself is enough to stimulate collagen so yeah

so that's it I hope you guys enjoyed that outfit was useful information and

I'm gonna go watch some TV with my son before bed I think I hope you guys have

a pleasant night I hope you got really good dreams I hope God blesses you and

you know if you feel like you're not being blessed in your life please go out

Pairen: Hey, Shuri. I prepared the documents you requested before, so I'll leave them here.

Shuri: Thank you, Pairen-san. It helps. #I was originally planning to do Ei's event, but noticed this avaliable#

Pairen: There were quite a lot of them, so it wasn't easy...

Shuri: Is that so? I don't remember giving you that much...

Pairen: Isn't that only by your standards?

Shuri: Hmm. I wonder, Hinari-chan...

Hinari: I don't know... but Master takes about as long as Pairen-san.

Pairen: So it's the same as Hongou... I believed I was at least better than him when it comes to office work.

Hinari: Master has been doing a lot of various work lately. #I don't know if I should feel proud of Kazuto or feel bad for Pairen#

Pairen: I see... he has it hard too, I guess. #Look at it from the bright side, she's closest to her loved one#

Aisha: I'm coming in, Shuri.

Shuri: What's wrong, Aisha-san?

Aisha: Oh, if it isn't Pairen-dono... can I borrow Shuri for a bit?

Pairen: Yeah. It's okay, I'm finished here already.

Shuri: Did something happen?

Aisha: It's just that. I've heard that you assigned Rinrin as a supervisor for the investigation in three days... is that true?

Shuri: You say supervisor, but she has assistants, and she'll mostly just be there as a guard. I thought Rinrin-chan should manage.

Aisha: It'd be okay if she was just guarding them... but, putting aside if she was with Shion or Sei, but I doubt Rinrin can take command over precise work by herself.

Shuri: Yeah. That's true, but... Shion-san and Sei-san have other plans for that day.

Hinari: I believe Aisha-san has plans too.

Aisha: Yeah... normally, I should come along.

Pairen: So you need someone to keep her in check?

Shuri: Yes. I wish we had someone free. #Please don't be so predictable#

Hinari: Enya-sana and Tanpopo-chan are free, but... #Wait, what? Do you have a problem with Tanpopo?#

Pairen: I doubt those two can keep Rinrin in check. What about Touka or Hongou?

Hinari: Touka-sama and Master on that day are both...

Pairen: I see...

Aisha: Pairen-dono, do you have anyone in mind? #Umm... Nene, Ei or Yue... and Ren, to enforce their orders#

Pairen: I've finished all urgent tasks, so I'm free for a while, but...

Aisha: Oh! Pairen-dono! #Let me guess, she'll fail?#

Hinari: Pairen-san is a fitting choice! #Specifically, Rinrin won't listen. That's why, take Ren#

Aisha: Yeah!

Shuri: Pairen-san! Can I request you to supervise the investigation instead of Rinrin-chan?

Pairen: Yeah... wait, what? #Oh, so she won't have to deal with tiny boar#

Aisha: If it's Pairen-dono, she should have no problems being a supervisor.

Pairen: Y... yeah.

Pairen: That's weird... I offered to keep Rinrin in check so why exactly did I get appointed as a supervisor...

Pairen: Nn, nn, nn...

Pairen: Hey. Mister, refills. #Oh, okay, she won't fail, this is not what this event is about#

Owner: Kousonsan-sama. That was your third one, right? Don't you think you're drinking too fast today?

Pairen: There are days like this. Refills. #It's an event about a drunken depressed tsundere#

Owner: Okay...

Pairen: They even said my paperwork is on par with Hongou's... #Is that a bad thing? That just means she's competent#

Pairen: Well, I knew I can't match Aisha or Sei when it comes to combat... #But she's better than Kazuto, Shuri, Hinari, Meirin and Reiha#

Pairen: I also knew I lose to Shuri and Hinari in office work and strategy... #But she's better than Rinrin, Enya, probably Tanpopo#

Pairen: But not on Hongou's level... #Now you're just being rude. First world problems, and insulting Kazuto#

Owner: Kousonsan-sama, your refills. #She's a reliable all-rounder with common sense that never causes troubles#

Pairen: Yeah, thank you.

Owner: And have this. At least eat something as you drink, okay?

Pairen: Sorry...

Owner: It's okay...

Pairen: This tastes really good, Mister...

Owner: Thank you.

Pairen: Hey, Mister.

Owner: Yes?

Pairen: What do you think of me? #Dafuq are you doing, drunkard?#

Owner: Well... you're a regular here...

Pairen: Not that. I'm asking if I'm beautiful or not.

Owner: I think you are, why? #People selling booze should be quite used to this#

Pairen: Thank you... you're the only one that says so, Mister. #And once again, you're being rude towards Kazuto for no reason#

Owner: I see... well, I'll be working inside, so call me if you need anything. #I'll even go check Pairen's H-scene to see what Kazuto said#

Pairen: Yeah.

Pairen: Beautiful... he said... hehe... #Yup, Kazuto at least said she's cute#

Pairen: Nn... nn... nn... puha.

Pairen: But, there's that... if you want someone beautiful, there's always Sei. If you want someone cute, there's Touka and Shuri...

Pairen: ...

Pairen: ...Huh?

Pairen: Do I... even have anything I'm confident at? #Horsemanship, loyalty towards Kazuto, common sense, appearance#

Pairen: In terms of combat, there's way too many I can't match, right?

Pairen: In terms of pollitics too, there's way too many I can't match, right? #She really doesn't understand what being an all-rounder is all about#

Pairen: In terms of charm too, there's way too many I can't match, right? #No. Definitely not. I believe Pairen is very popular with fans#

Pairen: ...

Pairen: No wonder I can't contribute. Haha... #Her ONLY flaw is how she focuses too much on her inexistent misery#

Pairen: Uu, I can't stand it without drinking... #Also wrong, drinking is actually what causes all those thoughts#

Sei: What are you doing, Pairen-dono?

Pairen: Huh, now that's unexpected... meeting you here.

Sei: It shouldn't be. I believe it's you who told me about this comfortable bar.

Pairen: Now that you mention it...

Sei: It appears you got drunk in a bad way again... did something happen?

Pairen: I kinda realized my lack of impact...

Sei: ...

Pairen: Ah, you just thought "took you a while"...

Sei: No, I thought "Did she never notice before?"...

Pairen: You're making fun of me!

Sei: I'm not making fun of you. I'm just sincerely surprised...

Pairen: That's even worse, idiot! It doesn't work as a [follow]! #Also, Pairen is pretty good at tsukkomi#

Sei: [Follow]?

Pairen: Hongou mentioned it before. After someone says something rude, followed by something even more merciless, that [follow] thingy comes into play!

Sei: [Follow]... hmm.

Pairen: Nothing to "hmm" about!

Sei: Jeez... I wanted to keep you company for showing me a good store... but it appears I've drawn a short straw.

Pairen: Keep me company, if you're going to! Mister! Bring some more booze!

Pairen: So. You know how the fighting tournament went?

Sei: Yeah.

Pairen: I got destroyed by strategists during that shogi tournament... well, I won against Renfa though.

Sei: Yeah.

Pairen: Debate tournament... huh? Did I even get my turn there?

Sei: Yeah.

Pairen: You're really a beauty, Sei.

Sei: Yeah.

Pairen: But your personality is seriously twisted.

Sei: Yeah.

Pairen: Not "yeah"! You're not listening!

Pairen: Listen to me!

Sei: Ugh... speaking without noticing change in Pairen-dono, that was the biggest failure of Chou Shiryuu's life...

Pairen: I'm the biggest failure here. Why am I so insignificant... what do you think, Sei?

Sei: Why, you ask... born under such star or something?

Pairen: Come to think of it, Touka popped up and took a bunch of my soldiers, you fled, and I barely achieved it during the Anti-Toutaku Alliance...

Sei: And now you're bringing up some old stories.

Pairen: Well, I managed to become a territory lord, you know? Though nobody probably remembers anymore.

Sei: No, we remember it.

Pairen: But. After that, before I realized, I lost to Reiha, and even after joining Touka, I somehow don't stand out.

Pairen: There's that too. I bet Touka and Karin will have a lot of focus in the future history books...

Pairen: But I'll probably only have one line about me: "Defeated by Reiha before she realized".

Sei: That's something for future historians to worry about. Am I wrong?

Pairen: You're right, but... somehow, won't things work out, Sei? #Seriously, she has everything, but makes problems out of nowhere#

Sei: Normally, Milord would conveniently drop by at times like this...

Pairen: Did you say something?

Sei: I didn't.

Kazuto: Achoo!

Touka: What's wrong, Master? Caught cold? #You know, the whole sneeze = illness is a dumb logic#

Kazuto: Doesn't feel so... anyway, how are those documents? #You're way more likely to sneeze due to dust in the air or bright light#

Touka: Pairen-chan organized them well, so it's almost done.

Kazuto: I see. Pairen really helps us behind the scenes a lot... #And they even added a scene that shows that her worries are over nothing#

Touka: Right. Okay, let's work a bit more for Pairen-chan's sake, Master!

Kazuto: Yeah!

Pairen: So. Before I noticed, even though I offered to keep Rinrin in check, but I ended up being the investigation supervisor in her stead.

Sei: ...Isn't that a good choice?

Pairen: Well, that's true. But at the same time, it's almost as if they told me I can't keep Rinrin in check.

Sei: Well, I won't deny that truth...

Pairen: Did you say something?

Sei: I did not.

Pairen: Well, how should I say, it's not like I don't like being investigation supervisor. But I really don't feel right with how that conversation went.

Pairen: I mean, noone offered me to keep Rinrin in check, right?

Sei: (I mean, there's no way Pairen-dono can stop Rinrin...)

Pairen: Did you say something?

Sei: Really, I did not. Also, being supervisor means you need to be able to deal with emergencies, isn't that a proof that your skills are needed?

Pairen: Well, that I'm grateful for.

Pairen: Then, why didn't they ask me in the first place? #Because they're assholes#

Sei: ...Did you have other plans?

Pairen: I did not. From the very beginning.

Sei: ...

Pairen: I think they probably forgot about me... #But that's not Pairen's fault#

Sei: No, that's... or maybe they thought you're busy and were being considerate?

Pairen: I'm Touka's friend, so there's no need to be considerate. #Honestly, those are not good people. Almost none of them#

Sei: ...

Pairen: And I don't think Touka treats me... as stranger.

Sei: (This is really terminal... is it booze's fault?)

Pairen: You said something again. #See? Sei is not exactly being a good friend either#

Sei: N, no, I did not.

Pairen: No, you did... I won't let you go until you confess, got it? #The only good people in this game... Yue, Ei and Pairen#

Sei: (She gets really troublesome when she's drunk!) #Ren is irresponsible. Shion is a bad parent. Touka is selfish#

Pairen: I bet you just thought I'm a troublesome drunkard! #Oh, wait, there's Toshi too, she's good#

Sei: I, I really did not! #Kikyo would be good... but she got a lot of soldiers killed for weird reason#

Shuri: Master, Touka-sama... how's the work going? #There's Shia too, she's a good person, so five of them#

Kazuto: Ah. Thanks to Pairen's documents, we'll finish soon... where's Pairen, by the way?

Shuri: Dunno. She's not in her room, so did she go out? #Nagi... would be, if she doubted people more, she's too easily misled#

Kazuto: I see... I wanted to invite her to eat with us all after we're done here... #Maybe Ruru too. So even if I'm lenient, only seven people#

Touka: Mmm...

Kazuto: No, that includes you too, okay? #See? She's your friend, Touka, at least let her have her time#

Shuri: W, what about me? #I said Ei, but I guess people might argue there#

Kazuto: I said all... #But Ei never really did anything bad, she was only protecting Yue#

Pairen: So. I kinda also want to... umm, how was it called in Hongou's country, establish myself as a colorcter?

Sei: Colorcter? #She mispronounced it, so I had to improvise#

Pairen: Ugh. I think he said colorcter. Anyway, I'm hopeless unless I establish myself as a colorcter.

Sei: That should be possible with some herbal medicine... why don't you visit a store that handles them?

Pairen: No, I'm not trying to get a colorful tattoo! I want to establish a colorcter!

Sei: (She's not making any sense...) #Apparently, mispronounced version word can mean tattoos or something#

Pairen: Don't you think I'm making no sense!

Sei: I, I did not! ...Hmm?

Pairen: What's wrong, Sei?

Sei: Pairen-dono. Were you talking about establishing yourself as a character?

Pairen: Colorcter...

Sei: No, it's character.

Pairen: Colorcter... colorcter... colorcter...

Sei: ...

Pairen: Oh. Oooooh. Yeah, you're right, colorcter!

Sei: No, really, it's character...

Pairen: I haven't established myself, right? As a colorcter. #Umm... tsundere, drunkard, good-natured, skilled rider, unlucky#

Sei: Hmm...

Pairen: Don't "hmm"! Be honest, give me your honest opinion! Say yes! #So, yeah, she has plenty of personality traits. There's also Kamen Hakuba#

Sei: Well, now that you mention it, you haven't established one... #Sei, slap her, she's being way too greedy#

Pairen: I haven't, right?

Sei: That's right.

Pairen: Uu, I'm sensitive about it... Sei, you'll make your friend cry if you put it that bluntly, you know? #Wtf happened to sound in my recording there?#

Sei: ...

Pairen: Well, don't wry. I'm well aware that you're this kind of person. Don't sweat it!

Sei: Worrying aside, you don't really need to get depressed then. #She's just that kind of a drunkard. Depession type#

Pairen: What! I'm not depressed, my heart is just a bit down!

Sei: That's called being depressed...

Pairen: So, how do I establish that colorcter? #The irony is, she's more unique than Touka#

Sei: Hmm...

Pairen: I'm serious here. Come to think of it, I haven't established myself as a colorcter. I don't even know where to start.

Sei: How about you go with "drunkard"? You've established yourself quite well as one, you know?

Pairen: I believe I said I'm serious... #That's also a personality trait though. One she doesn't need#

Sei: Hmm...

Pairen: There's no way I can remain drunk forever. I'm not you, Sei. #Yeah... there's plenty of drunkards in this game already#

Sei: It's not like I'm always drunk either. #Pairen should go with "supporting and loyal"#

Pairen: Right? First of all... I'm not even drunk. #She's the one that causes least troubles for Kazuto#

Sei: Sigh...

Pairen: So, what should I do? #In the world where everyone hates Kazuto, an ally would rock#

Sei: Hmm...

Pairen: I can't ask Hongou or Touka about things like that... #Seriously, just focus on relationships, and not just sexual ones#

Sei: That's right... what are you good at, Pairen-dono? #Common sense when sober and crippling depression when drunk#

Pairen: Good at... #A reliable ally in the world where everyone else is a living landmine#

Sei: Combat?

Pairen: Nyot enough to beat Aisha or Rinrin.

Sei: Then, strategy or politics?

Pairen: Nyot enough to beat Shuri or Hinyari.

Sei: Then, horsemanship?

Pairen: We have Seiryo's Sui and Tanpopo for that... our traits overlap and I can't beat them.

Sei: Then, try fighting with your breast size or something...

Pairen: You're just making fun of me now!

Pairen: I'm sensitive about that... I mean, Hongou would be happier if they were a bit bigger, right?

Sei: Hmm... then, how about your feelings for Milord?

Pairen: That, I doubt I'd lose... but... you know...

Sei: ...

Pairen: That goes for Touka, Aisha and you too... right? #No. They might claim whatever they want, but that'd be a lie#

Sei: Well, I won't deny that... #Unless they're all sexually sadists#

Pairen: So. I can't find a single thing that I can win against others in.

Sei: Then, how about you try finding one first?

Pairen: Finding...

Sei: To establish yourself as a character, you need to determine what kind of character you want to be.

Pairen: Sonshi!

Sei: Exactly. Know your enemy, know yourself, and you won't need to fear even a hundred battles. If you figure out your own personality, you will have a fighting chance.

Pairen: I see. As expected of Sei! #Personality? Kind and reliable#

Sei: And, if you know what exactly you're good at, you won't have an overlapping traits like with horsemanship. Something you're number one in... if you find your own trait, that will become your character.

Pairen: Ooh! That's a good idea! You haven't established your own colorchter for nothing!

Sei: ...Pairen-dono, what kind of character do you take me for? #Pairen has two routes. Depression and reliability#

Sei: Mean and twisted.

Sei: ...Can I leave now?

Kazuto: Jeez. Morning feels good when your job is done.

We've somehow dealt with the mountain of work. After collapsing on a pillow and sleeping, this morning feels quite pleasant...

Sei: Oh, Milord.

Kazuto: Huh, you're quite early today, Sei. You don't have an early shift, right?

Sei: No, well, I was drinking with Pairen-dono yesterday. I ended up waking up early, since I expected something interesting.

Kazuto: Is that so? I see, Pairen was drinking with you...

Sei: Oh. Did you need something from Pairen-dono?

Kazuto: Well... the documents she gave us yesterday helped us a lot. I wanted to thank her for that...

Sei: Ah. Pairen-dono probably won't leave her room today. You should wait for another day.

Kazuto: Huh? Hangover?

Sei: She's not that weak to alcohol... but, well, it's similar.

Kazuto: Should I got check on her?

Sei: You'd better not. Most likely, if she sees you right now, Pairen-dono would take a leap out of the window.

Kazuto: Did something happen? #Depression is fine, as long as she doesn't try to suicide#

Sei: Well, kinda.

Pairen and drinking, huh... that means...

Kazuto: I believe Pairen is a type that remembers everything from when she was drunk...

Sei: You can guess the rest...

Kazuto: I'll do that.

How should I put it... Pairen is really unlucky.

Why Gordon Hayward Should NOT Come Back To The Celtics This NBA Season - Duration: 5:09.

Gordon Hayward went down to one of the most gruesome injuries in NBA history.

But it seems as if he's ahead of the timetable for recovery and could possibly be cleared

to play towards the end of this season and comeback for the Celtics.

But should he?

What is up dudes, dudettes, ballers, players.

It's ya boi MJ.

Today I wanted to talk about Why Gordon Hayward should not come back to the Celtics.

Let me know in the comments if you think Gordon Hayward will come back.

One giveaway winner will be announced at the end of the video.

Alright let's get into it.

Before all the Celtics fans kill me for saying this, I want to say that I believe that Gordon

Hayward will ultimately make the Celtics even better than they are now, which is scary for

the rest of the NBA.

The Celtics have a legitimate chance of making the NBA finals this year and contending with

anyone they face.

Brad Stevens has the Celtics running smoothly, Kyrie has been leading the team in more ways

than just scoring and closing, and the young players have put in work.

Gordon Hayward seems perfect for the Celtics, Hayward doesn't need the ball to be effective.

He's a deadly shooter, he can move without the ball, he can create for others.

Hayward's been seen shooting and splashing just like these phone cases are a splash with

dope sports designs so check out Athletic Cases in the description.

For Celtics fans, they have a Kyrie case!

My problem with Hayward coming back, if he's medically cleared, is defense and team chemistry.

Hayward is no slouch on defense.

He ranked 42nd in the league last season which means he is above average.

Yet, Hayward's so called replacements of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have not only

been extremely efficient on the offensive end, but are first and third in the league

respectively for defensive win shares.

This means that these two lanky, athletic wings have been putting in work.

A lot of that has to do with Brad Stevens and how he has his players playing, but Brown

and Tatum have athletic gifts that has caused problems for opposing players.

Add to the fact that the players have to be in sync for the Celtics team defense to work

and Hayward coming back might disrupt this.

It takes a while to build chemistry and here chemistry is trusting teammates to rotate

and knowing what everyone tends to do.

If Hayward does comeback towards the end of the season, I'm not sure if there is enough

time to integrate him defensively.

That sounds weird since usually we talk about offensive integration, but for the Celtics,

their defense is a huge part of their identity.

Of course offense is also very important and Hayward would need to be integrated into that

as well.

But I see Tatum and Hayward as similar players in terms of shooting capabilities, especially

since Tatum has been increasingly putting the ball on the floor and creating his own

shot.

Brad Stevens also knows Hayward and since Kyrie will be the primary ball handler, Hayward

can be a more playmaking version of Tatum.

Hayward definitely has more carrying ability right now and can lead a team if need be which

is important in the playoffs.

Hayward would need to get his legs under him and we can see Isaiah Thomas struggling with

that right now, but Hayward is already shooting, so hopefully that is mitigated.

Still, with such little time before the playoffs, it's not the best time to experiment.

If there was more time to get Hayward more comfortable with the offense and defense and

if Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum were struggling, it would have made sense to get Hayward back

to the Celtics as soon as possible.

But, it doesn't seem like Hayward would have much time to get back into the flow.

That's why I am super excited for Gordon Hayward and the Celtics next season, because

he can definitely improve their offense and fit in their defensive schemes.

The Celtics pushed the Warriors to the limit without Hayward and are already amazing.

I just think that they need more time and that's why Gordon Hayward should not Come

Back to the Celtics this season.

But what do you think?

Am I wrong?

Are the Celtics winning a championship this season?

Sounds like something we should try,

because we've got the ingredients in front of us

and a bowl and some stink pits.

Yeah, we do have that.

So, @mrsthecobra suggests four parts baking soda

to three parts coconut oil.

Got some tea tree oil.

And it has antibacterial and antifungal properties.

[ Sniffs ] Smells good.

Yeah?

Yeah.

Okay.

Ready?

Load me up, buttercup.

All right.

Oh! That's cold and wet.

This is the most intimate thing I've ever done with anyone.

I don't like any part of this.

Okay, let me get active

real quick.

Oh, sure.

Let me just hype this up for you a little bit.

Huh?

High activity.

How is it?

[ Both sniffing ]

I mean, it smells fine.

It smells like any other deodorant.

I'd give this a whirl.

And it's like the natural deodorant I pay $18 for.

Well, you ready

for hack number two?

Yep.

This hack comes to us from Alejandra from Texas.

She says...

No.

We're doing this.

Why?!

'Cause it kills germs?

Yes.

You have very sensitive pores in your armpits.

They're designed to irrigate your system,

to flush yourself out if you're overheating

or there's toxins.

I don't know that it's a good idea

to mash hand sanitizer

into them.

How about we put on just a baby amount,

just to see how it feels?

Mm-hmm, okay.

Whoo!

It's really cold, yep.

All right. Okay!

All right, all right,

all right.

Ooh, yeah!

That doesn't feel good!

Uh...

Aah!

Alejandra!

Why, Alejandra, why?

I would recommend that

to nobody.

No.

Not at all.

Adi from San Francisco --

her user name is @tinyshinyhearts.

Aww! She says...

Iodine?

Iodine.

[ Woman screams ]

Why for my armpits?

[ Chuckles ]

Simple question.

Okay, if we're gonna unpack this...

Please do.

...iodine -- it was put on, like,

freshly sawed-off legs during the Civil War era.

It's like a disinfectant.

Have a seat.

[ Grunts ]

Lie down.

Take a few deep breaths.

Okay.

This is only gonna hurt a little bit.

Is it? Why would it?

I don't know. It shouldn't.

Great, I'm happy to guinea-pig.

Okay.

Okay. Yep.

Okay.

A few drops on your --

[ Gasps ] Oh, my God!

What? Really?

Oh, my God!

Really?

No, it's fine.

[ Sighing ] Oh.

I don't really smell anything.

Right. I mean, a neutral odor is better than a bad odor.

Agreed.

But even if it is a miracle natural deodorant,

it's not cost-effective.

This stuff is like

$30 a bottle.

What have

we learned here today?

Well, let's start with hand sanitizer.

We've learned that it's a relatively inexpensive hack

for your armpits, but it's also filled with chemicals

that I can't pronounce.

I just do not think it's something you want to be

putting into your body on a regular basis.

Ugh!

I'm going to

agree with you.

Next up, the iodine.

Even if it is the most effective miracle serum on the planet,

it is priced

out of my reach.

And that is why we're giving

the "Hack My Life" seal of approval

to @mrsthecobra's homemade deodorant.

[ Cheers and applause ]

Congrats to you

and your entire snake den.

How to Work Less & Get More DONE - Duration: 4:40.

- Creativity is like a battery.

Have you ever felt really charged and inspired

and you couldn't wait to smash it

and then there were other days

where it felt like no matter how much brain power

you put into something, you just couldn't

figure out the solution to that problem

or the hook for that marketing angle or the book

you wanted to write or the blog post

that you wanted to write?

I'm midway through an ATV trip here in Costa Rica

and I am here because I have been dealing

with almost medical burnout.

I received some blood tests

that suggested that I had been working so hard

and my stress hormones were so high

that it was actually causing some problems

and I needed to get away from it

in order to recharge batteries.

Not only recharge batteries, but recharge creativity.

Something interesting happens when you're an entrepreneur

or you're a high achiever,

especially when you're paid to be creative

or you're paid to produce,

is that we're rewarded for certain activities,

but if we don't stop doing those activities,

we can't do them anymore.

It's like the battery completely runs out.

I think thoughts come from two things.

Our thoughts and the way we think about things

comes from the inputs that we put into our brain

and the people that we hang around with.

But inspiration and creativity almost comes from the ether.

It comes from being so charged and so primed and ready

for that moment of inspiration

that it just naturally happens

and we so often try to burn the candle at both ends

and then wonder why we can't come up with

good pieces of work or art to create.

It's kind of the curse of being a high achiever

or a creative person is that we earn our living

and we are able to do what we're doing

by being rewarded for it,

but if we don't stop every once in a while,

we can't do it anymore.

I have a mentor, his name is Dan Sullivan,

and Dan says if you are feeling overwhelmed,

like there's too much to do,

the very first thing you need to do

is go on vacation.

(laughs)

Because once you come back to that,

things don't seem--

First of all, you see what is important

and then you don't feel this heaviness

around each piece anymore.

But when you're in that state of being completely depleted,

every little ounce feels like it requires so much energy

for us to do.

While I was on this ATV trek,

I was thinking about my business

and all of a sudden, the answers to the questions

that I had been trying to figure out in my head

were just popping

and that's because creativity usually doesn't come

from the front of the mind.

Creativity comes from higher levels of the mind,

it comes from the mid brain.

So when we're in that constant fight or flight mode

and we're trying to figure things out,

that's really, really good for narrowing our focus

and being able to attack a to-do list.

But it comes from the mid brain,

when that prefrontal cortex silences and shuts down

and says, "I'm safe, I'm having fun,"

that's when the creativity can flow.

That's when you feel inspired and creative.

So if you're like me

and you are a high achiever

who is constantly at it,

I'd recommend two things.

One, step away from the computer and go do something

that gets you out of work mode.

For me, that is softball, travel and cooking.

Those are like the three things that get me

out of work mode.

And number two, strategically put yourself

in situations around other high achievers

who will change your thoughts,

who will change the way you view things.

If you combine those two things,

that one-two punch is a magic formula

for thinking big and staying creative

and one of my mentors, Peter Shallard,

says that is when your job as an entrepreneur is complete

because your only job as an entrepreneur is to put yourself

in the situation where work is easy.

And we only do that by staying charged

and staying inspired and that comes

from what you feed your mind

and silencing that fight or flight

so that you can be creative.

That's how you maximize your output as an entrepreneur.

Not just through hustle.

(wind blowing)

WHY YOUR SUFFERING WILL TEACH YOU MORE THAN YOUR SUCCESS EVER COULD - Duration: 6:19.

- Why your suffering will teach you more than your success

ever could is a common question I get.

People are always asking me things like,

how do I find a way to get unstuck?

I'm always find myself overtired.

I've been working a long time, long days,

and I don't know what to do.

I feel confused and I'm not sure where to turn.

But that's a common problem to feel so lost and uncertain

that we've all been there.

We've all been there at different times,

and absolutely is a challenging thing to figure out

where to go and where the next step is.

Finding out who to ask, you know,

might be the quickest answer, or what to read.

Sometimes just picking up the proper book,

spending some time investing in yourself is the way to go.

The biggest thing, I think, is for you to start

finding a way to change your perspective

on how suffering actually helps you and doesn't defeat you.

You know, when I go back to my experience,

from you know, spending time as a paraplegic

when I broke my back at the age of 23,

in the hospital, just coming out of intensive care and

four months in rehab, and learning how to walk again,

it was very challenging for me

to find belief and strength in

the suffering that I was going through.

But, all that stuff that I've been through

has helped create the resilience in my life,

and the courage and inner strength to keep on going

when I've always felt like I wanted to give up.

So, what I wanna do is just kind of go through

a couple of ideas,

just three pieces of information that I've learned

over my time on how you can help start to view suffering

as a strength instead of a weakness.

So number one is to understand that failure

is part of the process.

You know, when I have been building

my business in this case, the Sledge Hockey Experience,

there's no way that I could have gone now to where I'm at,

18, 24 months from the day it was an idea,

without having to go through several moments

where I felt like I totally wasn't getting it right.

And that goes from everything of like

sending out the wrong documents,

to wording things the wrong way,

to showing up, you know, or figuring out

maybe 40 hours before the event,

I don't have what I need,

and maybe I couldn't deliver on something

that was, thankfully, a smaller detail,

but I knew that I had to fix it for the next time.

And if I didn't go through those failures,

there's no way that I would have gotten to the point

where we're now delivering a polished event

every single time we arrive at the arena.

And Randy Pausch has a quote that said,

"The walls that are put up in front of us

"are put there for a reason, and that reason is,

"to keep those people who don't want something

"bad enough, out."

Now when I heard that, it made me really think about

you know, a lot of the obstacles that are in front of us,

especially the ones that we're going after

something for our own desire versus what we need in life.

You know, it's there for a reason, and so I want to decide

in my mind that I'm gonna be the guy, or girl, whoever, to

break through that barrier and find my ways

to make my suffering become part of my success.

Number two is to remember that, you should always

be taking things one step at a time.

When I was in the hospital learning how to walk again,

people would always ask me the question,

how did you learn how to walk?

And, I wish I could just say something

as simple as I took a pill.

Sometimes I throw it as a joke and it always flops. (laughs)

Because the truth is, is that it wasn't easy.

It required me going through several weeks of seeing

zero results, trying to wiggle my toe just by me

sending the brain signal down and looking at my toes.

And when I finally got it to work,

it was one toe after six weeks,

and then one more week til I got my second toe,

and then another week until I got three toes,

and then three toes, and then an ankle,

and an ankle, and then I was learning gravity

on a walker, and a wheelchair,

and then walking holding on to walls,

and then learning to walk every day.

And, it was such a remarkable lesson because

I just literally learned that the process of

learning how to walk at the age of 23,

not when I was a child, was one step at a time.

So remember that no matter what it is you're going through,

an obstacle or getting yourself

out of a bad position where you're struggling,

might seem like impossible or super far away,

but just recognize that it takes several small baby steps,

one step at a time.

The third thing I wanted you to think about is that,

it's okay to ask for help.

When you're struggling, whether you're

consciously aware of this, trying to build a business,

going through some form of therapy,

or if you're in a depression, for example,

is to recognize that it's okay to ask for help.

There's several times where I've had people come to me

and say Kev, what do you think about this or

what do you think about that, what should I do,

and I say, let's talk to someone,

let's call somebody or go here for help and,

that person will often comment to me, they're like,

no, no, no, it's okay, it's like I got this.

And I'm like, do you really have this?

Because if you did have it,

you wouldn't be coming to me asking for help.

That means that you don't need help.

So, it was like an aha moment one day when I realized that

that's the moment where you get to choose

to be the hero in your own movie,

is to actually have the courage to ask for help.

Because so many of us are suffering in silence

and it doesn't need to be that way.

We, anyone who wants to help you,

just needs to understand and know that you're struggling,

but it requires you asking for help.

So, just remember that, to review real quickly,

the three things, remember that

failure is part of the process.

When you're struggling, failure's part of the process.

To remember, take things one step at a time.

And then it's okay to ask for help.

So, I challenge you to start viewing your suffering

as part of your success, and understand that

it's going to help make you stronger.

It's going to help you create more resilience in your life

by deciding your own mind, that you're going to

go through this process.

And that it's okay to ask for help.

And that, my friends, is your opportunity

to be the hero in your own movie.

YOUTUBE KEEPS DEMONETIZING MY VIDEOS!! - Duration: 5:57.

what's up everybody its Meech welcome back to on the radar so I've been having

all these technical difficulties hopefully I'm done with it

and they won't keep going but um I haven't been uploading any workout

videos lately because I haven't been getting my vintage build in just came

from my workout I haven't been doing that getting any footage lately I've

just but I'm still in the gym still working out just haven't been bothering

to record having been wanting to just interrupt my process and so Jim has been

a lot more crowded lately all of the new you know the movies want to come in and

test the gym out and get their workouts oh I'm so so a lot a lot more crowded

so that's ass but I got in the gym today knocked out some legs yesterday I did

chest and arms so they had this in the legs

not the greatest session probably because you know I just came from work I

don't even want to blame it on being tired cuz I really wasn't tired I don't

know what it is just wasn't strong you know just wasn't strong got some

squats in didn't really do good on the squats just did some other leg accessory

work 45 minutes of cardio nothing crazy I wanted to talk about my drink this

vintage build shut up old-school abs by the way four centimeters shaker bottle

also before I get into what I was going to say there is a sale today for vintage

burn and vintage for been vintage burn and vintage blast it's 25% off off the

Amazon sale so click the link in the description all the information to be in

it in the description but definitely for everybody who loves burn and blast

that's the free workout in the fat burner it's 25% off definitely check

that out you know you know all information is in

the description but Alma what I was going to say is the other day

uploaded the Thai pod challenge video and it was more of an awareness video I

wanted to get a point across of course I did not you know eat the tide pod and

all that stuff but you know and I got a lot of good response from it but you two

decided to demonetized a video and somehow it seems like they actually

stopped the views on it because it went from you know it was it was it was

getting views and all of a sudden I was watching it on the live whatever is

called the live counter thing and the live view feed or whatever and it just

stopped right when it got demonetized that the view just stopped and typically

the the videos don't just stop like that when they're when they're generating a

certain amount of views so I found that to be weird you know this is some of the

funny stuff that YouTube is doing for whatever reason they they deem this

video to be unsuitable for advertisers and they they cut it they cut the

monetization then you have to send it in for a review but if you don't read this

reach a certain criteria you know they won't even review it it's

a lot of funny nonsense going on and you know this is what I was talking about in

the previous video why I said these are the things that makes creators you know

not want to upload and you know I didn't upload it for views or for um you know

for money it was more to just get a point across but still you know it's

frustrating when you see that it seemed to get cut you know it definitely and

when I mean get cut it seems like they did something to stop those views and

stop the video from being seen you know and they D monetize it so YouTube is

bugging out so I don't know what's going on with that but hopefully I'll get back

in the gym today for a second session and I'll definitely get some extra

footage so that's just it just that's just it wanting to give you guys a

just check in with you guys let you guys know what's going on still on the grind

check my Instagram if you don't / if you're not already following me on

instagram check the Instagram because I upload clips you know a lot faster and

more consistently than I do on YouTube so that's that Lincoln isn't it in the

description also that's pretty much it I'll be knocking out some more fitness

workout videos this week and some other content so just stay tuned also

everybody who's been commenting on the videos lately I have enough and had a

chance to get back to that stuff I will be commenting and responding to that

stuff to the night Instagram Facebook and YouTube I will be making those

rounds and catching up with you guys so that's pretty much it just gonna drink

my vintage build get some work I mean get some sleep you know you know that's

it and hopefully get back into the gym today and like I said check the 25% sale

for the vintage burn and the vintage blast in the description so until next

time stay focused stay fit please hit that like button show you support people

tune in next time to see what else pops up on the radar so look you could tell

I'm tired I'm saluting too early gotta get some sleep

this is gonna help with recovery though I'm tired you see that it's bad it's

time to something get some sleep

The ACMA's Communications Report - Nerida O'Loughlin - Duration: 1:54.

Nerida O'Loughlin is Chair of the Australian Communications and Media

Authority and she's here to talk with us about the Communications Report. Nerida

what is the Communications Report? The comms report is a useful snapshot in

time of the Australian communications and media landscape. It's got a lot of

interesting facts and figures around industry's size and shape, services and

consumer behaviour, all in our one annual publication. And why is it important?

We really want to provide an evidence base to inform regulators such as ourselves

policymakers and industry on issues and trends right across the sector and it's

designed so people can dip into it to find the information they need. A sort of

one-stop shop of facts figures and trends. And how do you gather the

information for it? Much of the information comes from our own databases

and from industry through surveys analysis and other public sources

So what's industry doing to meet the changing communications landscape?

Billions of dollars are being invested by industry to improve 4G networks and

to prepare for the next generation of 5G networks and we're also seeing a

commitment to the commercial deployment of the Internet of Things which really

has the potential to significantly improve productivity right across the

economy. And tell us more about the Internet of Things how is it changing

the comms landscape in Australia? Well the Internet of Things is really

rapidly moving from the fringe right into the mainstream. The network

connectivity it provides is growing rapidly from smart bins out in Bondi to

self monitoring water tanks on rural properties. It really has the potential

to underpin the next wave of economic growth in Australia. Thanks Nerida

Thanks Emma
