so this is what I call like Chinese snack food it's a little bit of this and

a little bit of that these are the dumplings

I love the dumplings these are like pork

mmm-hmm sometimes I want Chinese but I don't want all the rice or the noodles

so I will she fell apart it's okay I always say don't worry about food

these with his food it's really good

well down the hall from from our room

there's an elderly couple the husband comes to sit with his wife all day long

and I know that because I'm here day and night I spend the night with Grandpa so

I see who comes and goes he'll get visitors or new don't you know

and sometimes it's kind of sad people don't get the answers but you know you

never know their situation you know so

this is a little ginger and the wasabi a little wasabi and I only put a little

wasabi on because it could really be spicy so let me tell you those guys

you're gonna crack up so I after grandpa got done eating and

every time when he eats I will take his tray out of the room so once he gets

done eating

and take the tray right down the hall and put it on the cart

that way I'm helping you know I'm helping the nurses because here at the

rehab center a lot of times the nurses man they do everything they're

delivering food they're doing everything so if I can help them I try to help I

mean why not right I got to do something instead of just sitting there all day I

have to you know move so

so take the tree put it on the cart and

this gentleman he comes out of the room because the cart is right by his room

and he comes out the room and he tells me you could take my wife straight too

and I'm like pardon me and I could have laughs you know I said hi to him a

couple of times when I passed by and he'll come out the room or something I

think I said hi how are you doing you know he said you could take my wife

trade not cart my wife's tres she's done you know and I'm like I don't work here

I said I don't mind taking your tray out for you if you'd like me to but I don't

work here and he said you know work here I said no I don't work here he goes I

thought you worked here I keep seeing you going up and down the hallway you

know with ice I go get ice cream for my husband I go get towels all day long I'm

getting towels what else I go get the nurses to tell them it's time for his

medication he said I thought you worked for us are you going up and down the

hall as I know I'm just here with my husband he goes man they need to put you

on the payroll I said I wish they would woohoo I said I wish they would all this

time I've been speaking to him I just naturally assumed that he knew that I

was there for my husband but oh no he thought I was where I worked here hmm

mmm that's so good did they give me a chuckle that kind of made me laugh Oh

black boy you know what another lesson right don't assume you know what they

say about assuming something mm-hmm they thought I worked here I thought that was

funny

so how have your day been going today I hope you're eating something with me

good to just have you know little bits of pieces of things that you really like

and

I love edit edit Nami so I said give me some and enemy I love sushi give me just

one sushi roll I love the dumplings so I got six

dumplings so to me this is Chinese snack food and I got an egg roll this is

Chinese snack food yeah basically

Trice try them sometimes they are so good

see that beautiful pea in there they are so tasty hmm I've seen them in the

frozen section at the store and this is probably where they get theirs from I

don't know I've never seen them fresh

but I've never gotten them in the frozen section Oh

I was enjoying this meal guy

I don't know how much longer we're gonna be here maybe another maybe we're gonna

do another week because grandpa can still not you know stand on his own or

walk on his own

but he's getting stronger everyday

everyday

call them pop or sodas I think it depends on what part of the country you

live in in the North they call them pops I think

in the south here they call them sodas so they hear me say pop they know I'm

from somewhere else every day here I get asked where are you from

they start having to exit

at this I guess I do have an accent to them so good

this makes you feel like you're eating so much food because you really have to

work for it

The problem with online charter schools - Duration: 5:22.

Okay. so think back to high school.

I know this might be painful, but picture your

typical daily schedule. 50-minute blocks, one for each subject: Chemistry, Geometry, English, etc.

This is what the school day has looked like for most students in the

United States for about the last hundred years, but that's changing. For a small

but growing number of students, the school day looks more like this.

Ten minutes working on a math worksheet then 15 minutes on an English paper, then

20 minutes on Facebook and then a three-hour shift bagging groceries.

That's because in 32 states and D.C., students of all ages don't actually have

to go to a physical school building. Instead they can attend online charter schools, full time.

In their advertisements, these schools promise

students and parents autonomy, flexibility, and peace of mind.

If I didn't have Florida Virtual School I probably would have been a dropout. I can

start and end work when I want to. After years of bullying and changing schools I

could finally learn at my own pace.

There's just one problem with these

schools: for the vast majority of students they don't work.

The share of

American students who attend online charter schools is small. It's less than

1%, but enrollment has grown fairly steadily since 2011 and their growth is

part of a wider movement in public education known as "school choice".

It's the idea that parents should have options beyond the neighborhood public school.

It's a notion that education secretary Betsy DeVos has championed for years.

The more choices we have, the more competition we have, but also the better product.

Like traditional public schools, charter schools are funded by a mix of

federal, State, and local taxes. But while taxpayers elect school board members to

oversee traditional public schools, charter schools are different. If a group

of people want to start a school, they sign a contract or a charter with the State.

Some charter schools have longer hours or use a different curriculum.

Most have a physical building, but a growing number don't.

For both types, the state

pays the group a set amount for each student that they enroll.

Most of the groups that run online charter schools are for-profit companies.

The largest are k12 Inc. and Connections Academy. They run 122 online charter schools

in 29 states, which enroll more than half of all online charter students nationwide.

They're both part of publicly traded companies, which means that some

of the tax dollars they get for running schools go towards paying their shareholders,

One of whom used to be Betsy DeVos.

Gary Miron is a professor of education. He studies online charter schools and he

crunched the numbers and found that these companies made:

In their ads k12 and other online

charter operators tout their research-based curriculum, but the data

show that kids in online charter schools are falling way behind. One way that

researchers measure a school's success is to look at students test scores at the

beginning and end of a school year and see how much they've grown. In the most

comprehensive study to date, researchers at Stanford University looked at 17

states with online charter schools and compared their yearly growth to regular

public schools and charter schools in those states, that serve similar

populations of kids.

They found that attending an online charter school had

the equivalent effect of missing 180 days of instruction in math.

In most places that's an entire school year. In reading, students lost about 72 days

compared to their peers in regular school.

There were a few exceptions.

Online charters in Georgia and Wisconsin had significantly better growth scores

in reading than regular schools, but those states only serve a fraction of

the country's online charter students. The vast majority live in states where

attending an online charter school is statistically equivalent to missing

weeks of school.

They're allowing these companies to operate charter schools,

sometimes with more than a hundred students per teacher. That's more than

six times the national average for public schools.

We reached out to k12 and Connections and both companies

disputed the methodology of the Stanford study. K12 said they changed their

curriculum since the study came out in 2015, but a 2016 study of online charters in Ohio,

found that students there are still doing significantly worse than

their peers in regular school.

So, if these schools get such poor results,

why don't states just shut them down?

Online charter companies like k12 and

Connections have spent millions on lobbying and campaign contributions at

the state level.

Of the 64 online charters they ran in 2011, all but one

were still open in 2016. And 55 new ones had opened for business.

States have the power to hold these companies accountable they're just choosing not to.

And students are paying the price.

DANGEROUS Places You Should NEVER Swim! - Duration: 11:12.

Water is usually good for you, but in this case, you better watch out!!

From flesh-eating bacteria to radioactive streams, here are 8 places where you definitely

shouldn't swim!

8.

Berkeley Pit

If you're in Butte, Montana and have 2 dollars to spend, then you might want to consider

visiting Berkeley Pit.

It is one of the only places in the world where you can pay to see toxic waste.

It's pretty easy, just pay the $2 admission fee and enter the viewing platform.

The Berkeley Pit is a former open pit copper mine that is filled with highly acidic water.

There are metals and toxic chemicals that seep out of the rocks, including copper, iron,

arsenic, cadmium, zinc and sulfuric acid!

Of course, you don't need me to tell you what would happen if you went for a swim there.

The pit was closed in 1982, the groundwater slowly filled the pit and now, it is a serious

environmental problem.

In 1995 a flock of geese landed in the water and over 342 dead geese were recovered.

But the place is not really lifeless.

New fungal and bacterial species have been found to have adapted to the extremely harsh

conditions inside the pit.

An even more interesting discovery was that these species developed a better production

of highly toxic compounds to improve their chances for survival.

Some of these might be useful against cancer!

However, there are other things about the Berkeley Pit the State of Montana should be

concerned about.

The water level in the pit is constantly rising.

This is a very big problem because if the water level reaches the critical point it

will contaminate the nearby ground water of the entire Butte valley which is home to more

than 30,000 people!

A water treatment plant was built in 2003 to help avoid this catastrophe and hopefully

this year, 2018, the facility will be able to treat and divert the deadly water.

7.

The Drake Passage

Back in the day, if you wanted to travel from the west coast of America to the east coast,

you had to travel south and pass through what is known as the Drake Passage.

This is where the Atlantic, Pacific, and Southern seas converge, and it is the fastest way to

get to Antarctica.

The Drake Passage is almost 1000 km wide and the current creates some extremely choppy

water.

Combine that with unpredictable weather and you can either have the smoothest water ever

or an extremely violent journey.

Aside from the harsh weather, the Drake Passage is also known for its cold and deep waters.

The waters are actually among the coldest on earth!

And its average depth is of about 11,000 feet!

Extremely large cargo ships that cannot go through the Panama Canal, are forced to go

the long way around the Americas and go through the Drake Passage.

Before the Panama Canal, the safest, most trafficked route to reach LA or San Francisco

from New York was to go down to Cape Horne and around the west coast.

It would take about 90 days.

There are many cruises that you can take to Antarctica and despite the rough crossing,

many people say its worth it for the spectacular landscape and wildlife that you can see including

dolphins, whales, and many kinds of birds.

It is apparently quite the adventure!

Just make sure to take your motion sickness pill!!

And whatever you do, don't fall into the water!!

6.

Saco River

Saco River is a popular recreational river and many people come here to visit every year

hoping to cool off and have some fun.

Located between New Hampshire and Maine, it is 220 km long.

It passes through several counties and towns before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean at

Saco Bay.

You can camp near the river, rent a canoe, go tubing, or simply enjoy its beauty along

the shore.

It really sounds like a very nice place to spend your free time.

If you ask the right person, that is.

There is a reason Saco River is on the list, after all!

There is a local legend that the river is cursed.

The story goes that in 1675, three drunken English sailors encountered a woman from the

Sokokis tribe with her child.

They made a bet about a European myth that stated that an Indian baby can swim upon birth

as animals do.

They attacked the woman, took her child and threw it in the lake where it drowned.

The woman's husband, Squandro, the chief of the Sokokis tribe, cursed the river "to

claim three lives every year until all white men fled its banks!"

While there are no complete statistics on deaths occurring at Saco River, locals say

that the legends is indeed true and three or more white lives are lost there every year.

Spooky!

5.

Amazon Basin

There is a lot to be said about the Amazon Basin.

With so much water plunging down from the Andes into the lush canyons of the Amazon,

you will certainly find some of the best whitewater rivers in the world, perfect for going white-water

rafting.

Or if that's not your cup of tea, maybe you would rather take a canoe ride, or take

a rainforest canopy tour.

One thing you shouldn't do, is go swimming in the Amazon basin.

Most of it is filled with rough waters and dangerous creatures ranging from toxic bacteria

to black caimans.

There are also plenty of piranhas which will bite if they see shiny jewelry or if you have

any sort of cut.

Scavenger and parasitic catfish are even more dangerous.

The blue whale catfish is one of the scariest fish that can bite you because they have razor

sharp teeth that can tear out a chunk of your flesh in a moment.

Parasitic fish like the penis fish can come after, and they can only move in one direction

because of its needle-like spines.

If one ends up in a human, the only solution is surgery.

Usually they get inside humans when they are urinating in the water so yeah, don't do

this!

You can also get zapped by electric eels that hang out by the river bank which can cause

excruciating pain and swelling.

Flesh eating bacteria can be found in the sediment of warm standing water almost anywhere

in the world.

The bacteria can get into your body through your nose and spread.

If not treated quickly, the bacteria will start to consume your tissue and you can lose

limbs.

Did I already mention the large whirlpools that will pop out of nowhere and swallow entire

boats?

A tour group let 12 people into the water with life preservers, and 11 came back.

Swim in the Amazon, but just remember you might not make it.

4.

Cape Tribulation, Australia

This place earned its name in 1770 when British Lieutenant James Cook's ship sunk.

He named it Cape Tribulation because "here begun all our troubles"!

Not a good sign!

Nowadays here you can find a small number of bed and breakfast lodges, tourism resorts

and backpacker hostels, some very rare plants, beautiful beach landscapes and a list of dangerous

creatures that would be more than happy to take a bite out of a swimmer!

Of course!

It's Australia!

If you still think the beautiful beaches are as safe as they look, let's review some

of the dangers one might encounter at Cape Tribulation!

The most common thing that a swimmer might encounter is jellyfish.

Between November and May, this place is full of them so pack your wetsuit.

Even then, if you think you'll be okay… you're wrong.

Stinger suits are just a tasty bonus for crocodiles!

Just kidding!

They'll take a bite out of you with or without it.

Even away from the water you can have quite an unpleasant time if you're not careful!

There are lots of places to go hiking but beware of the stinging trees that are all

over the place.

This tree has heart-shaped leaves with very fine hairs on the leaves.

Red berries hang from the trunk, but be careful!

If you are tempted to grab one and you somehow touch the leaves you will receive a very painful

sting, which will most likely last for a long time!

3.

Laguna Caliente

The Poás volcano in Costa Rica is active almost continuously and the main crater is

home to one of the most acidic lakes in the world, Laguna Caliente.

In April 2017, visitors had to be evacuated because of the increase in gases coming out

of the volcano.

Tourists at the national park were complaining about eye and throat irritation as they were

leaving.

This volcano has erupted 40 times since 1828! Laguna Caliente which means "hot lagoon",

is located at a height of over 2000 meters, in a crater 1.7 km wide and 300 meters deep.

Due to the high acidity, no aquatic life has been found in it.

A fun fact about Laguna Caliente is that it changes colors every once in a while.

You might see it as blue or emerald green, but then someone visiting a few hours later

might see it as gray or white!

Another interesting thing about this lake is that it often experiences eruptions caused

by the magma reaching the water.

When this happens, because of the extreme heat, the water and acid turn into explosive

steam.

These giant geysers can reach up to hundreds of meters high!

Many guidebooks might claim that Laguna Caliente is a geyser but technically it's not.

The lush tropical forest around the volcano suddenly disappears because of the acid fog

and rain caused by Laguna Caliente and other fumaroles.

2.

Jacob's Well

Jacob's Well is a popular natural swimming spot in Texas.

It looks very cool and refreshing at first glance!

Especially since Texas can get hot as hell!

It's extremely tempting to get your diving equipment and just jump right in, but it is

also a never-ending black hole that has lured divers to their deaths.

People consider it one of the most dangerous diving spots in the world!

Those with more adventurous spirits love to leap from a nearby outcropping into the well

to get away from the heat.

You might think you are ready to go in, but most likely you probably aren't.

This blue hole has a diameter of about 4 meters (13 ft) and it descends vertically for about

9 (30 ft).

At that point, there are a series of small openings that can lead you into underwater

caves that can go down 30 meters (100 feet) or more.

In 2007, trained cave divers started exploring the well.

To date they have documented 1828 meters (6,000 feet) of passages.

What makes Jacob's well so dangerous is that inexperienced divers love to explore

the narrow cave system which can end in some close calls.

Not everyone who makes it to the caves located at the bottom of the well will make it back

to the surface.

There are 8 recorded fatalities between 1964 and 1984 but researchers guess there have

been many more before that.

Just don't dive and you should be ok!

Lake Karachay

Between 1945 and 1948 the Soviet Union decided to build their own plutonium factory in the

Ural mountains.

Mayak was the largest nuclear facility in Russia and it was kept secret until 1990!

But being the largest doesn't mean being the best, clearly.

Actually, the secret nuclear complex was concerned with everything but safety.

There were many leaks, meltdowns, and tons of waste was dumped into the river.

Lake Karachay is considered the most polluted place on the planet.

In 1990, standing on the shore for an hour could kill you.

Now it's supposedly better but I don't think you should risk it.

The nearby villages who used water from the river fell ill with radiation sickness but

doctors weren't allowed to talk about it because the entire operation was a secret.

Lake Karachay is now full of concrete to keep the radioactive soil away from the shore,

but the riverbanks will be toxic for hundreds of years.

Now, you might not die but still...is it really worth it?

A League Of Their Own Cast Doesn't Look Like This Anymore - Duration: 7:16.

One of the most beloved sports movies of the '90s, A League of Their Own dramatized the

true story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League formed during World War II.

Some of the movie's stars have gone on to have prolific careers, while others have stepped

back from the limelight.

Let's take a look at what the Rockford Peaches and the rest of the cast are up to today.

As the star of A League of Their Own, Davis

was the main event in memorable moments like this one — but that was just one stop on

her long and successful career in Hollywood.

After playing everything from an international assassin to the President of the United States,

Davis has most recently been seen on Fox's The Exorcist television series and in the

sci-fi flick Marjorie Prime.

In 2015, Davis founded the Bentonville Film Festival, a celebration of diverse filmmakers.

At the festival's 2017 edition, she hosted a softball game celebrating the 25th anniversary

of A League of Their Own that brought together much of the original cast and some real-life

veterans of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League.

While it's perhaps not his most famous role,

Hanks delivered a great performance and some terrific lines as manager Jimmy Dugan, including

this oft-quoted gem: "There's no crying in baseball!"

Following A League of Their Own, Hanks' star continued to rise, with back-to-back Academy

Awards for Philadelphia and Forrest Gump.

He continued to score commercial and critical acclaim with the Toy Story franchise, Saving

Private Ryan, Cast Away, and The Da Vinci Code franchise.

Most recently, Hanks starred in the biographical drama Sully and appeared opposite Emma Watson

in the technological thriller The Circle.

Befitting his position as America's best and most favorite person, in 2016 Hanks was presented

with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States' highest civilian honor.

The other half of A League of Their Own's

sibling rivalry, Lori Petty is probably still best known for playing Kit Keller, who clashed

with her sister Dottie both on and off the field.

But that wasn't the end of her Hollywood story.

She's gone on to appear in dozens of films, playing the title role in 1995's Tank Girl,

and popping up in guest roles on primetime TV.

Most recently, Petty has played the role of paranoid-schizophrenic inmate Lolly Whitehill

in Orange Is the New Black since 2014.

Though she's best known as a pop mega-star,

Madonna made one of her periodic detours into film here in the role of "All the Way" Mae,

the Rockford Peaches center fielder who knows how to draw a crowd.

"What if at a key moment in the game, my uniform bursts open, and whoops, my bosoms come flying

out?"

Following her role in A League of Their Own, Madonna stuck around Hollywood long enough

to film Die Another Day and Evita — earning a Golden Globe Award for the latter in 1997.

She's also put out eight full-length albums since her days on the diamond, including 2015's

Rebel Heart, which Rolling Stone called her "finest album in a decade" and which she celebrated

with an 82-show worldwide tour.

This actress was right at the start of her

career when she played loud-mouthed third baseman Doris Murphy in A League of Their

Own.

From there, she's been a constant presence in Hollywood, including hosting a talk show

with her name on it from 1996 to 2002.

She's also twice served as a moderator on the popular daytime talk show The View.

And she's still acting, too: O'Donnell provided the voice of Terk in Disney's Tarzan, and

has appeared on television shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Empire.

In 2017, she appeared in When We Rise, an ABC miniseries about the roots of the gay

rights movement.

Though she doesn't get much screen time, you'll

definitely recognize Ramsay as Helen Haley, who plays first base for the Peaches and makes

sure the umpires get their pre-game caffeine fix.

Since 1992, Ramsay has continued her acting career on both big and small screens, most

notably on the long-running TV series Mad About You.

You might also have caught her in recurring parts on shows like Six Feet Under, Dexter,

Hawthorne, and Hart of Dixie.

And because no actor's resume is complete without a few screams, she turned in a memorable

performance as the title character's daughter in the 2014 horror film, The Taking of Deborah

Logan.

Cavanagh made her feature film debut in A

League of Their Own, playing the Peaches' astronomically talented but slightly awkward-looking

second baseman, Marla Hooch.

"What do you suggest?"

"A lot of night games."

Despite gags like that one, Marla is the league's best hitter, and gets one of the movie's happiest

endings.

Since then, Cavanagh has continued acting, appearing in movies like Robin Hood: Men In

Tights and doing voiceover work for animated projects like Jimmy Neutron and The Mighty

B!

She's also a newlywed, too; the actress tied the knot with her wife Anne Chamberlain in

2013.

As Betty "Spaghetti" Horn, left-fielder and

relief pitcher for the Peaches, this actress is the star of one of the film's most heartbreaking

scenes — in which Jimmy Dugan has to tell her that her husband has been killed in action,

right before a game.

Reiner has quite a Hollywood pedigree — she's the daughter of director Rob Reiner and filmmaker

Penny Marshall, who directed A League of Their Own — and she's stayed in the family business

ever since.

The next couple decades saw her acting sporadically, most notably as the wife of Bill Paxton's

character in Apollo 13.

But more recently, she's been working behind the scenes as an executive producer on another

film directed by her mother, a documentary titled Rodman.

You'll remember this actress as Evelyn Gardner,

the right fielder who proved that at least sometimes, there is crying in baseball.

Despite her memorable performance here, Schram never really caught fire in Hollywood — her

biggest hit since has been a recurring role on the USA crime comedy Monk, where she played

a registered nurse and personal assistant to the title character.

That's right: John and Joan aren't the only

Cusacks in Hollywood.

Their older sister Ann is a prolific actress, and she made a memorable appearance in A League

of Their Own as Shirley Baker.

After she hung up her baseball glove, Cusack starred alongside Lori Petty in 1995's Tank

Girl, and she's been working pretty much non-stop ever since.

Her recent projects include a mini-League reunion with Tom Hanks in the 2016 film Sully,

as well as in a recurring role on the Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul.

Jon Lovitz Lovitz was in the middle of a successful run

on Saturday Night Live when he appeared in this film as talent scout Ernie Capadino,

who spots Dottie Hinson and her sister Kit playing in a local amateur league near their

Oregon home.

Lovitz only stuck around long enough to deliver some of the movie's best one-liners…

"You know, if I had your job, I'd hurt myself!" ...but his comedic talents have scored him

dozens of roles since then.

His highlight reel includes High School High, The Critic, The Producers, and voiceover work

for Hotel Transylvania and its sequel.

And he's still working with his SNL co-stars, too, teaming up with Adam Sandler for the

Netflix original comedy Sandy Wexler and performing live in Las Vegas with Dana Carvey.

There's one thing you definitely can't say for Lovitz's post-League of Their Own career…

"It stinks!"

Surprising Things We Learned About Aaliyah After Her Death - Duration: 5:14.

The entertainment world was rocked when recording artist Aaliyah Dana Haughton was lost after

her plane crashed shortly after takeoff in the Bahamas on Aug. 25th, 2001.

Six people, including the "Rock the Boat" singer, perished instantly, while two others

later succumbed to their injuries in a hospital.

In the years since the tragedy, surprising new details about the 22-year-old have gradually

emerged.

Here's what we didn't learn about Aaliyah until after her fateful final voyage.

Suspicious skies

As fans mourned, U.S. and Bahamian authorities began investigating what could have caused

the twin-engine Cessna to crash on a Saturday night in seemingly perfect weather.

Aaliyah and her crew were originally supposed to leave the following day, but they were

reportedly in a hurry to get back to Miami, so they hastily chartered the doomed flight

after shooting the music video for "Rock the Boat."

Before piling into the small plane, an argument reportedly broke out between her entourage

and the pilot, Luis Morales.

Morales supposedly thought the plane was overloaded with nine people, their luggage, and camera

and sound equipment.

And shortly after takeoff, the plane crashed, taking the lives of everyone on board.

But a heavy load may be just one of the reasons the plane went down.

Following the incident, more details about Morales emerged.

"It's turns out that the pilot of that plane, Luis Morales, was recently charged for cocaine

possession and may not have been authorized to fly that plane."

As a result of the revelations, Aaliyah's parents, Diane and Michael Haughton, sued

the plane's operator, owners, and the flight broker.

In 2003, the suit was settled for an undisclosed amount.

Afraid to fly

As if her fate wasn't heartbreaking enough, it was later revealed that Aaliyah was terrified

of small planes, and she was even said to be hesitant to board the tiny plane from the

Bahamas to Miami.

According to Newsweek, a friend who accompanied the singer to the airport said Aaliyah was

expecting a larger aircraft for the flight, and she was uneasy when she noticed the small

plane.

The company producing her music video reportedly offered to charter a larger private jet for

Aaliyah and her entourage, but the singer declined because she was, quote, "anxious

to get home to her boyfriend and enjoy her last free weekend before beginning a rigorous

fall schedule."

Secret projects

During the height of Aaliyah's career, social media wasn't the force that it is today.

This made it a bit harder to learn about a celeb's personal life, and Aaliyah was exceedingly

reserved.

In fact, because the songstress was rarely seen without a dark pair of sunglasses covering

her eyes, rumors emerged that she had a lazy eye or a glass eye.

Even when she ditched the shades, she frequently covered one eye with a perfectly coiffed bang.

Of course, those stories weren't true, but her secretive nature meant that most fans

didn't know she had a funny bone until after she was gone.

Aaliyah befriended Kidada Jones, the daughter of music mogul Quincy Jones, at a Tommy Hilfiger

fashion show in 1993.

The pals reportedly loved to act silly when they were together.

In a 2011 interview with the Fader, Jones said Aaliyah once prank called her father

and pretended to be pop star Christina Aguilera, explaining:

"She was asking my dad to do something on her record and she was just singing, and he

totally believed it was [Aguilera]."

But Jones and Aaliyah were more than just best friends.

They were becoming business partners, too.

Aaliyah was known for her impeccable sense of style.

She could effortlessly wear a pair of baggy jeans and a crop top one day and a Roberto

Cavalli dress the next.

Jones told Fader that she and Aaliyah had been developing a girl's clothing line called

Dolly Pop.

"Right when she passed we were getting ready to sign our contracts for that.

We were making plans for this brand that was gonna be girly and cute and have Japanese

inspiration."

Considering Aaliyah's ability to make the best-dressed list at any occasion, there's

no telling how successful that line would have been.

Love life

Aaliyah worked hard to keep her love life under wraps, but that didn't stop her romances

from making big headlines.

Vibe magazine blew the lid off her secret marriage in 1994 to her then-mentor, R. Kelly.

Aaliyah was just 15 years old when they wed, and Kelly was 27.

She reportedly lied about her age on the marriage license, claiming she was 18, so their union

was eventually annulled.

Towards the end of her life, Aaliyah had sparked a relationship with Damon "Dame" Dash, the

co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records.

Supposedly, both he and his former business partner, Jay-Z, had their eyes on Aaliyah.

Dash said:

"I was going at her but Jay was going at her."

But the reason it didn't cost the men their partnership was that Aaliyah was able to keep

a cordial relationship with Carter even after putting him in the friend zone.

"Aaliyah was the type of girl that would give you a shot.

She didn't care what people thought.

So she'll date you and be your friend."

Clearly, there were no hard feelings because Jay-Z led a touching tribute to the singer

at a concert in Detroit one year after her crash.

Meanwhile, 10 years after her passing, Dash was still coping with his loss and told Billboard

Magazine:

"My heart was broken.

Nothing prepares you for that."

Though Dash and Aaliyah spent a lot of time apart working on individual projects, they

were apparently planning a future together.

He told MTV News:

"As soon as she had time, we were getting married.

She was the one—she was definitely the one for me."

On top of all of these bits of posthumous news, perhaps the most surprising thing we've

learned about Aaliyah after her departure is just how poetic her words about her work

really were.

"In the end it's all worth it because it makes me really happy, and I wouldn't trade it for

anything else in the world."

Reiki to Enhance the Heart Chakra Through Breathing - Duration: 14:31.

Hi everyone. This is Lourdes the Reiki in this video is to make your Heart

Chakra stronger. Now this is going to be different, because it's going to be an

exercise that we're going to do together. So please stay with me

and I would like to walk you through it. In the meantime if you are new to

Reiki my videos, or my channel, please check out my Frequently Asked Questions

playlist. There's a link to it above my head. If you're interested in Reiki,

sessions, services, classes, or readings please go to my website, www.RestRelaxationandReiki.com.

On YouTube please check out the Community Tab.The Community Tab is where I post Reiki Infused photos,

and occasional poll, sometimes an exclusive video just for people on the committee tab and sometimes I send Reiki

to everyone who I post (excuse me) posts or comments on something I put up.

Now for this video what I'm going to do is ask you to follow along with me. As I

send the Reiki what I would like you to do is imagine that as you breathe in, energy

is flowing to the back of the Heart Chakra. So that's actually in the center

of your back (right in back of the front of the Heart Chakra). Imagine air is

coming in as you breathe in. Then as you breathe out, imagine that the air coming

out gets changed into, transmuted, transformed, changed into pink light, glittle (mistake)

glitter, sparkles, fairy dust, whatever you'd like. The goal is with

every breath that you take, your Heart Chakra starts expanding. And as you

breathe out, you start releasing more of the blockages that are keeping you from

being the strongest and most love filled that you can be. So I'm going to walk you

through for the first couple of times and then once I stop talking please keep

doing the exercise, but just do without me speaking. And I

would love to hear your comments on it. It's something different, it's something

I've been practicing for myself and I have found that it has helped me a great

deal. So if you're ready, please sit back relax and let's start going through this

exercise. So first of all just take a deep breath, imagine the air coming in

from the back, your back ( the center of your back) and as you breathe out imagine

that it gets transformed into something beautiful and pink. I'm saying pink but

if you like you could also use green or white. So let's do it again breathe in,

feel the heart getting stronger (the Heart Chakra), breathe out and as you breathe

out imagine the space starting to fill up with beautiful love energy which

could be pink or white. Now I'm going to stop talking as much and just say

breathe in and out. Breathe in fill (mistake) the Heart Chakra grow,

feel it grow, breathe out. Imagine the light starting to fill the space. Breathe

in, let the Heart Chakra grow strong and big, breathe out. Breathe in, fill that

Heart chakra with beautiful light and breathe out.The room is now filling with

pink light. Breathe in

breathe out. )Please continue to do so.

Thank you for watching this video and for more videos that may interest you,

please check out the videos around me. Thank you
