Obviously my welcome was under a strong rain..
But luckily it has finished already..

they allowed me to get to their boat..
To let me see and explain how they go fishing..
I don't know how it's floating.. it seems a miracle!
it's made of wood, fixed with random materials to take it together..

TV Shows (series) to Improve Your English Listening | English Tips - Duration: 11:11.
Hi everyone, welcome back to English with Max. In this video
I'm going to talk about TV shows that could help you improve your English.
In my last video I talked about movies. If you haven't seen that video yet,
I recommend that you first go and watch that, because a lot of the things I said
about movies also apply to TV shows. As usual, I'd like to remind you that you
can follow me on social media - I have Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Don't forget to hit the red subscribe button if you haven't yet subscribed to
my channel - it's free, so why not? And remember that there are English
subtitles available for all my videos. If you're watching this on a mobile device,
you need to click the little three dots - the three little dots in the corner - and
then click "captions". If you're watching this on a computer, you either need to
click the CC button, or the little button that looks like a credit card. Thank you,
Thomas (who's one of my viewers) for pointing that out to me. I knew the
button looked different, but I didn't know how to describe it. Okay, let's get
started. Firstly, let's look at some terminology. Some of you might be
wondering why I've said "TV show" and not "TV series". What's the difference?
Often you can use them interchangeably, but in my mind "TV show" is more generic, and it
refers to any programme on television, apart from the news and movies.
These include fictional shows, game shows, shows about politics, or documentaries.
There might just be one episode, or a series of episodes.
And just so you know, in the UK and Australia people often say "TV programme"
instead of "TV show". A TV series is a type of TV show that has multiple episodes
and often the same people or characters appearing in those episodes. And yes,
"series" is plural and singular. One series, two series, three series. And yes, we can just
say "series" instead of "TV series", just like we can say "show" instead of "TV show",
if it's clear that we're talking about television or something that appears on
the internet. I think watching TV shows is generally more beneficial than
watching movies. The first reason is that if you find a TV show that you really
like, you might become addicted to it, so to speak, and you'll just continue
watching because you want to know what happens. So you'll be working on your
English, but it won't feel like work. Another reason is that series are
typically a lot longer than movies. This allows you to get used to different
characters' accents, and you'll probably hear the same words and phrases repeated
a lot, which is good for your vocabulary. A lot of the things I said about movies
are the same for TV shows. Dramas are generally easier than comedies; very old
shows are normally harder to understand than newer ones (when I say "old" I mean 60
or 70 years old); shows with regional accents are typically harder; and so are
science fiction and fantasy. To give you some concrete examples: Game of Thrones
is quite hard. That's mainly because it's fantasy and there are a lot of names and
words that the author invented. Some of you might have also seen the series
True Detective. I thought it was very good, at least the first season (I didn't see the
second season because people told me not to bother), but even I sometimes didn't
understand every word. That's partly because it's set in Louisiana and lots
of the characters had strong southern accents. But it's also because
Matthew McConaughey mumbles. If you mumble, it means you don't open your mouth very
wide and you don't articulate very well.
I went to the beach yesterday and it was really great. There was like,
lots of sun and waves and everything, but I got lots of sand in my clothes
and it was just... yeah, even in my underwear.
I sometimes mumble as well, but not normally when I'm teaching English. So what do I think are
some good TV shows for your English? Firstly, I think Friends is a good option.
I know I said that comedies are often a bit difficult, but there are exceptions,
and I think that Friends is definitely a lot easier than something like The Big
Bang Theory, because there isn't all that scientific language. Even though I think
that The Big Bang Theory is a better show. While we're on the topic of
comedies, I also enjoyed Sex and the City, and I think that the actors normally
speak quite clearly. Be careful, though, it's for adults. I thought that Desperate
Housewives was pretty good, and last year I watched a black comedy called
Imposters, which was actually one of my favourite shows last year. A black comedy
is a comedy that has some darker or more serious elements. When it comes to dramas,
last year I watched Broadchurch, which is a very good British crime drama. Another
good British show for working on your English is Dr Martin. It's more a comedy-drama.
I also really liked Homeland, but I have a Spanish friend who said he
found it a bit difficult to follow at times. Another popular drama was Mad Men.
I only watched a few episodes, because I found it a bit boring,
but that's just me. Lots of people liked it, and I think it's relatively easy to
understand. I've also heard very good things about Stranger Things. I haven't
watched it, but I've seen clips of it and the English doesn't appear to be too
difficult. If you want to hear some Canadian English, you could watch
Anne with an E, which is based on the book Anne of Green Gables.
I watched it recently on Netflix. If you like soap operas or telenovelas ("telenovelas"),
you might like shows like Beverly Hills 90210, The O.C., Party of Five,
Dawson's Creek or Felicity. All of those shows are a bit old now - they're about 15
to 20 years old. I'm not really sure which soap operas or family dramas are
popular right now.
I didn't watch all of those. I only watched part of Dawson's Creek, and I did
watch Felicity. But I think Felicity was a little better than your average soap opera.
Something else that you can watch is reality TV. I know a lot of people
turn their nose up at reality TV, because it's not considered very intellectual,
but I think some shows are a bit better than others.
Reality TV shows are shows in which there are no actors. It's just real
people being filmed doing various things. Of course there's some debate about how
"real" it actually is, but that's another topic.
Reality TV can be useful for learning English, because you hear how people
speak in real life. This has its advantages and disadvantages. It's good
because you hear natural English, but some of the people on these shows speak
very badly. Nothing's perfect. I admit that I watch some reality TV.
My favourite reality TV series is The Amazing Race, which is basically a race
around the world, so you get to see lots of different countries. I also like
Survivor, and I admit that last year I even watched parts of The Bachelor.
Oh the shame.
Another show I can recommend is called Extreme Cheapskates.
A cheapskate is a person who is stingy - someone who really doesn't like spending
money, in other words. Lots of the episodes are on YouTube. It's really
quite hilarious at times. Finally, you could watch game shows. Game shows are
just shows in which there's a game that regular people participate in, for
example, Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune. My favourite game show is The Chase. If you
like trivia or you like expanding your general knowledge, and you really want to
expand your English vocabulary, then I can highly recommend The Chase.
I recommend the British version and the Australian version. There are lots of
episodes on YouTube. Thanks very much for watching, guys. I'll put the names of all
the shows I've mentioned in the description box. If you have any
questions, don't hesitate to write them in the comments, and also please tell me
what your favourite TV shows are. Don't forget to hit the thumbs up if you
liked the video, and as usual please share this with your friends.
See you next time!

Staring Germans?! Do Germans STARE AT YOU on the Street? - Duration: 6:12.
There's a rumor going around that Germans stare.
Is it true?
Hey everyone! I'm Dana and you're watching Wanted Adventure Living Abroad.
I've been living in Germany for about 8 years now, and one of my favorite things about
living here has always been how walkable the cities are.
I love being able to walk places rather than take the car to get there, and Germany
is great for that.
Something interesting though: from the very beginning I noticed quite an interesting phenomenon
that I hadn't experienced walking around other countries.
The phenomenon of the staring German.
Okay, lemme set the scene for you.
You're going down the sidewalk, minding your own business, when another person comes
walking toward you.
You don't know this person, so you just kind of keep your eyes focused in front of
you, but then as they get closer, you feel it; the gaze of the another person upon you.
Or maybe it's just your imagination playing tricks on you.
So you dart your eyes toward them and then quickly back again to find that no!
You're not imagining things at all.
The other person is definitely looking right at you.
Not just glancing your way.
Not just giving you a quick once over.
No, the person is staring right at your face, as if trying to drill deep into your soul
and discover all your greatest fears and joys in life.
Now, this definitely does not happen with every person that I walk by in Germany, but
it has happened enough times that it's became a "thing" that I've noticed here, and when
I talk with other people who also moved from another country to live in Germany, many of
them have also reported noticing this unique experience as well.
So, my curiosity piqued, over the years I've done a little unscientific research here.
Does the staring happen when I'm: Plugged into my earbuds, listening to music?
Yes, it does.
Not listening to music?
Yes, it does.
Walking alone? Yep. Walking with someone else? Yep.
Running? I don't know I'm always going to fast to see! I'm so fast. Just so fast.
I'm not fast at all.
As I said, no this does not always happen, but it happens enough that it's something
I've taken notice of.
Now, in the U.S. when you go by someone on the sidewalk, depending on how many people
are on that sidewalk and where in the U.S. said sidewalk is located, there's a pretty
good chance that you might exchange a quick hello with the person that you just went by,
or at the very least maybe do one of those wordless, closed mouth smile and nod things.
So I thought maybe that's what the starers were after; just some kind of little interaction.
So I put my scientist's hat back on, and tried that out a few times, both saying
hello and giving the smile and nod.
I think that once or twice I got a quite startled "Hallo!" in return, but most of the time, nichts.
Lately I've been trying something that brings me all the way out of every bit of comfort
zone that I've got, and that is staring right back.
Oh my God, it is so hard to for me to do!
We're walking towards each other. I feel the gaze upon me, so I meet it.
I stare right back at the other person's face.
Which leads to our eyes becoming locked.
They are locked and it is terrifying.
Don't look away, don't look away, I will myself to hang on just a little bit longer.
Who. Will. Look. Away. First?
It's always me. It is always me who looks away first. I cannot stand it.
All of the hairs on the back of my neck have stood up on end, and I get goosebumps and
shivers in the very core of my body.
I hate it so much.
I am always the one to look away first.
So my question for you is: Okay, I have so many questions here!
First of all, have you noticed this phenomenon in Germany or anywhere else in the world...
are you, yourself, perhaps someone who does it?
Next, do you have any idea what the staring is all about?
What does it mean, and what am I expected to do in response?
Stare back? Look away? Burst into tears and go screaming in the opposite direction?
I don't know.

At your face. As if trying to...
How am I supposed to not crack up laughing.
I just saw you do that.
And if you heard that laughter, that was Mr. German Man laughing behind the camera.
I'm glad I made you laugh.

Direct & Matt Van - I Don't Mind [Cover Art] - Duration: 3:48.
Every day is a reason To chase what you've been dreaming
For you I strive
(For you I strive)
And every week is a season
The winter's got my knuckles bleeding
But I don't mind
In your heart there's a beating
Sometimes I think that I can feel it
It keeps my time
(It keeps my time)
And every night when I'm dreaming
It feels like I'm falling through the ceiling
Oh, I don't mind, no-ooo
Am I falling in love
Or am I just falling apart
The king's horses and men can't mend What is left of my broken heart
Now I finally realize
It's what keeps me in line
No, I don't mind
No, I don't mind

5 Things You Will Never Be Able to Hide from an Empath - Duration: 3:30.
5 Things You Will Never Be Able to Hide from an Empath
Empaths are highly sensitive people who have special ability to read and feel their surrounding
without even interacting to it.
Basically, it is quite difficult to avoid your condition to be read by empaths.
You know, it's really hard to hide your feelings in front of empaths because their abilities
are capable to see right through you.
Empaths can understand if you are being fake or dishonest with them.
If that's happen, depending on the empaths, they usually have a hard time confronting
you.
In short, they may just ignore your dishonesty even though they realize it.
So, if you think you have successfully fooled an empath, you better think it twice.
They just have this strong intuition, that they cannot help.
If you still think you can play the hide game with an empath, these are 5 things you will
never be able to hide from an empath.
If you're new to our channel, make sure to click the subscribe button below, and don't
forget to like this video if you find this information is helpful to you.
#1 - Bad Intention Behind The Gift
Empaths are highly capable in reading minds.
That means, you basically cannot hide what you are thinking in front of them.
They read your mind not only based on their ability to read body movement, intonation,
facial expression, and other details.
In fact, they can feel the energy you emit throughout the course of encounter.
Therefore, basically you cannot just run away from empath.
#2 - Calculated façade
Sometimes, people just want to use empaths.
They come to empaths with innocent-looking face.
They start talking and make empaths cornered.
However, this effort is actually quite useless for empaths.
The reason is because empaths are really capable in turning the table down once they figure
out who you really are.
#3 - Motives
Any kind of your intention can be noticed easily by attuned empaths.
They see people from the energy they carry, and they basically can know whether your motives
are positive or negative.
After that, they also can decipher the real intention of yours when approaching the empaths.
Basically, you just can tell the truth with empaths since they can read when you lie.
#4 - False emotion
Most people tend to hide their feelings to people they never met.
Unfortunately, it is kind of impossible to express the opposite emotion.
Even non empaths can read false emotion at some degree, and empaths can do even better.
In addition to being able to decipher false emotion, empaths also can offer solution towards
the problem that the other people have.
#5 - Going behind their back
Above all things, you should never go behind their backs.
If you have any ill intentions and you try to go behind an empath's back, you are going
to get a terrible backlash and will regret your behavior for a long time.
All in all, that's the 5 things you will never be able to hide from an empath.
Really cool information isn't it?

KITE SURFING IN PAJE, ZANZIBAR VLOG - Duration: 3:08.
(cheerful music)
- Good evening everybody.
It is the 6th of January 2018.
It's 5 p.m. in the afternoon, and I'm at Paje Beach
here in Zanzibar, and it's 5 p.m. as I mentioned,
but also, I thought I'd fire up this video because
I went to the Rock Restaurant before, one of the top ten
restaurants in the world apparently, strangest restaurants
in the world.
Quite incredible, the shrimps are forty cheap,
you can see it.
Highly recommend you go check this place out if you have
come to Zanzibar, definitely go and check out the Rock.
But I just want to quickly talk about, I'm on Paje Beach
here, and I'm actually quite relaxed at the moment,
I'm totally in holiday mode,
I wasn't even going to shoot new videos
to be honest with you
just gonna relax a little bit,
but here in the background here,
now you can only see a few kites in the background there
but if you go around the corner, there are
hundreds of kites being launched here at Paje Beach.
If you're looking to come to Zanzibar,
it seems that everybody is doing kite surfing here,
or wind surfing here.
And I'm actually pretty annoyed with myself
that I didn't make the effort to do the two day
course here to learn how to do it.
But every tourist, it seems, is doing kite
surfing or wind surfing here at Paje Beach
and I feel like a little bit of fun mode,
that fear of missing out, I should have done it.
But just see if you can't text, if you want to do
kite surfing here in Zanzibar, there's really
good wind today, cost you about 300 Euros.
It's eight hours of training.
It's usually about four hours per day.
So it's usually about a two day course.
And in that eight hours you'll learn everything
you need to learn to launch the kite,
to steer the kite,
to do, to kite surf.
You start on the beach first, to control the kite,
and then you move into the ocean.
But 300 Euros usually what you pay
and cash only, by the way, keep that in mind.
Cash only.
300 Euros, what you pay along, anywhere along
this beach, 250, 300, 350 Euros, two days,
eight hours, the same shit.
I can't say that I recommend it cause I haven't done it,
but I would highly recommend it because I didn't do it
and it looks, it looks incredibly awesome,
so anyway, I'm gonna sign off.
That's it for me.
I miss doing the videos and I thought
I'd just do this video, the first time in three days
doing a video, so, and enjoy.

This is a world title fight, sure, but it's also intriguing because you have one guy in Matthysse, who is certainly well known in the boxing world, and you have another guy in Kiram, who has limited footage of his fights available.
Matthysse's last 10 fights have all been in the United States, while Kiram has fought exclusively in Thailand and will be participating in his first professional bout inside the US.
Still, Matthysse has done his research.
"We've got some tape.
We know [Kiram's] big and he knows how to work the distance, but we've done a great camp here," said the 35-year-old Argentinian.
"I've done all these sacrifices for my family, all the people who mean so much to me, and that's why I'm going to get the title.".
With losses to Danny Garcia (September 2013) and Viktor Postol (October 2015) in his previous two world title fights, this will be Matthysse's third shot at a belt.
This one will be a little different, though, as he made the move up to welterweight following the loss to Postol.
He won his debut fight at 147 pounds with a fifth-round TKO of Emmanuel Taylor last May and will enter this fight with confidence.
"You learn from your mistakes.
I learned I might've trained too hard for the Postol fight.
I was a little too tired.
You learn every time you fail.
Now, I feel the best moment of my career has not arrived yet.
On [Saturday], it will arrive.".
Kiram, who is ranked as the No.
1 WBA challenger at 147 pounds, stands at 38-0-0 with 28 knockouts, though it's difficult to decipher to legitimacy of that record because he has yet anyone near the quality of Matthysse.
Still, though, he has shown compelling talent, and if Matthysse takes him for granted, it could mean trouble for The Machine.
In the co-main event, Jorge Linares, who has won 12 fights in a row and defended his WBA lightweight title twice in 2017, will put his belt on the line against Mercito Gesta, who is 31-1-2.

This will be the second time in the last three Grand Slams that Federer and Cilic have matched up in the final.
They met at last year's Wimbledon, with Federer rolling to a 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 victory to claim his eighth title at the All-England Club.
In that one, Federer neutralized Cilic's big serve, winning 37 percent of the return points and breaking the big Croatian three times.
Federer again knocked off Cilic at last year's ATP World Tour Finals, running his record against the Croatian to 8-1.
And with the way things are going in Melbourne, it would be fairly surprising if Fed-Ex didn't continue his winning ways.
While Federer has still yet to drop a set so far this tournament, Cilic has had some battles.
It took four sets to get past Vasek Popisil in the first round.
Ryan Harrison took him to a couple of tiebreakers in the third round.
His matches against Pablo Carreno Busta and a not-100-percent-healthy Rafael Nadal went four and five sets, respectively.
It's hardly been simple for Cilic, who will be playing in his first Australian Open final and is seeking his second Grand Slam title (he won the 2014 US Open).
Still, when Cilic is on his game, he has the talent to beat anyone in the world.
"I like (Cilic's) attitude," Federer said.
"He's very professional.
He's always very much the same regardless of whether he wins or loses.
I like that attitude. "He's a winner.
You can see it in the way he behaves on the court.
He's there to win and not just to be there.
Sometimes you see other players you feel like they're happy to have made the quarters so far.
He strives for more.
I like those attitudes.".
The 2018 Australian Open has been a mostly unpredictable ride, but in the end, it's two players who undoubtedly belong there.
Despite the lopsided head-to-head history, this should be an entertaining battle.

SHOCK REPORT Obama Buried 500K Docs After Bin Laden Raid & Lied to America, But It Gets
Worse
Barack Obama ran the shadiest administration in American history.
It was scandal after scandal, whether we're talking about the IRS, Fast & Furious, or
Benghazi.
The list seemingly never ends.
Now, another bombshell has just been dropped.
This one is raising serious eyebrows all over the nation!
From Conservative Tribune:
In a detailed exposé in The Weekly Standard, journalist and author Stephen F. Hayes showed
that Obama buried a staggering number of documents from Osama bin Laden's compound, and essentially
lied to the American people about the real status of Al Qaeda in order to win votes.
Finally, thanks to the Trump administration, those documents are now coming to light.
WHAT IN THE WORLD?
This is absurd!
A key piece of Obama's re-election was the elimination of bin Laden and the claim that
the administration had Al Qaeda on the run.
Afghanistan was won, the incumbent president boasted, and Islamic terrorism was waning.
The path forward was to lift sanctions on Iran and move forward.
There was one big problem: The administration knew it wasn't true, but repeated it anyway.
WHOA!
They knew and they STILL lied to us all!
That's 17 out of a cache of around 470,000 documents, or less than 0.003 percent of the
full picture.
Obama cannot get away with this.
He needs to answer for his crimes.
He needs to serve time in prison for being an enemy
of
the state.
Agreed?
