But "Quinta, quarta, terça" (thursday, wednesday, tuesday)
To me "Terça" means...

We started making videos because I liked making videos

In the past I was like "I want to be a powerful woman"
It was something like this
And he had this passion
About filmmaking
And I've always used to document everything
I used to write
To this day, I write a lot
It was very weird
And also really beautiful
We mix the business aspects with the visuals

He put the camera in front of me and I said
"This is so weird"
"But I'm loving it!"
It was like this
And then I wrote a couple e-mails saying
"We have this channel, we want to partner with you"
To the companies
And that's how It started
The trips
But in the beginning-
I'm drooling all over
This is such an important story I'm drooling
This is the powerful woman
I'm so clumsy

Alright, in the beginning we were in college
With no money
- [Jo] It was sad - [Damon] We had nothing
Every meal it was like
"Oh, I'm hungry." We had 5$ or less to eat
And then we decided "Let's move to New York"
The most expensive city
The most expensive ever
Next to San Francisco
San Francisco, New York
And after a year "Oh, let's move to Paris"
Also very expensive
Only choosing cheap places
But we managed to survive
In the meantime we started documenting the process
And our story basically
How are we going to live in Paris
With minimal things
How to have dinner in Paris for 3€
We made a video about that
How to take a 7€ flight to Barcelona
We slept on a bench in the beach
Because we didn't want to pay for a hostel
If we spent only 7€ on a flight
Who's paying to stay in a hostel?
To sleep, yeah
Yes, we are sleeping outside
And we did and we slept outside
There's also a video on that
And that's how things started
And then after several years, several videos
Now it turned into a career
Where we travel showing you beautiful places
Weird places
Interesting places
And also learning languages
Which is also a big part of our story
Speaking of travel

What was the weirdest place you've been to?

But that was our fault
That wasn't Iceland's fault

But I think Slovenia. Have you ever been to Slovenia?
No I haven't
I think it was kind of weird

First thing, who chooses Slovenia?
As their travel destination?
I don't know anyone
We went there
We went to Liubliana
Which is the capital
Everything was different

It's a really tiny country
But there are caves, rivers, there's...
It's a very
Alternative country

And I never thought Slovenia was going to be something like this
I think Liubliana was one of the most alternative cities
You thought it was going to be a very traditional place
No, it wasn't like that
It's like
It's really weird
But it's not weird in a bad way
It's interestingly weird
It's different
Iceland as well
But this was our fault. There's a video on that
I watched it
When we travel we stay on AirBnb's
We also stay in hostels, hotels...
But in this case we stayed in a farm house
In the middle of nowhere in Iceland
There wasn't even five houses in the city
This is scary
And we arrived at 9PM
It was pitch black
And there was like, I don't even know the words in portuguese
There was-
Do you know when a person dies...
There's the person's ashes
And they put in a-
I forgot the name of that box of ashes
The box of ashes
There's a specific name for it
At the door-
Like, there was a door and a little window
With the ashes of someone
A candle
On a AirBnb?
AirBnb
And the most horrific part
The door was open
And there was no host
There was no one there
You basically got in, a person's ashes on the corner
Horrible!
9PM
No other houses around
No light on the streets
Nothing, no one
We get there and the door was open
There's this thing on the window
And the door was not supposed to be open
There was a lockbox
Where you put the password
We opened
The password was like "1923"
The year the house was built, of course
We got in with the key but the door was already open.
And we were like
All the time
But it was haunted
It was a terrifying house
Afraid of having someone living in there
Or haunted
And the crazy ones here
We spent two days there
Two nights
Which was the-
But we were all in the same room
Like, there was 4 rooms in the house
And you all stayed in the same room
Almost sharing the same bed
It was crazy
This is so funny
And what was the most different food you had on your trips and where was it?
- [Jo] Where I just mentioned - [Damon] Slovenia
We made it to Liubiania and I said
What do you guys eat here?
And everyone "Horse Burger"
And I was like
Horse? Horse!?
Horse burger
And I thought it was just the name of a type of burger
I don't know
Just like you just told me
What was it?
Whatever "cavalo"
Filé a Cavalo
Which is a regular steak with egg on top
I thought it was something like this
That it was a joke
But it was literally a horse burger
Made of horse meat
Horse meat. It was this big
And then I went for a culture experience
To show that this is a thing
Experience the place's culture
We filmed the video, published and suddenly everyone on our channel was vegan
Everyone!
How could you do something like this "Jo?"
"I can't believe it"
"I'm leaving this channel and never coming back"
"You're a horrible person"
And I didn't even like it
- [Jo] It wasn't something like... - [Catarina] It wasn't good?

It wasn't good
There's a couple myths in Brazil
I don't know if you know this
That the McDonald's burger it's made of a lot of stuff
There's the earthworm story
- [Catarina] They say that the burger is made of- - [Jo] Ew! "Minhoca" it's worm
So gross.
There's also the horse myth
And the myth that it's made out of both
A lot of people say that but that's not true.
That's so gross
I hope so
You can tell that it's made out of horse
Is that strong?
It's not that it's-
It's heavier than a regular beef
But...
I don't know
I could hear like
While I was eating
Not good
Crazy things of our life
But I think it's interesting that...
When we travel we discover new foods
I really like brazilian food

If I had never gone to Brazil
I would never get to try a type of food that I really like
And... Like
Time for philosophy
You get to discover these flavors, these foods you'd never find elsewhere
And you'd never find out that you like them
It would be so sad if I "never discover"

And what was the best food you've ever tried abroad?
Vegetarian
I'm vegetarian
Jo always used to tell me that when we go to Brazil
That it would be really hard for a vegetarian
And that's not what I experienced
When I was there they had lasagna, quiche
Vegetarian
Rice and beans
A lot of vegetarian food
What else?
That's because I was only looking forward to the barbecue
- [Jo] That's what I wanted - [Catarina] One of the first things that pops up it's the barbecue.

From the world?

Like, french salad
But It's nothing-
That's what it's called

I like this. I don't know if people eat this in any other country

They have this in Brazil but it's not that popular.
I'm thinking about Tokyo. What I had there?
Tokyo is one of my favourite cities, have you been there?
I haven't. I want to
It's so cool as a city.
It's similar to New York
But like ten New Yorks
There's a lot of people, but they're not aggressive
Everyone queues to get on the subway.
Everyone is quiet
I've never went there. But I heard this a lot
I have this impression in mind that Tokyo, Japan has two opposite sides
Some really zen, calm places
And others full of lights, like a huge Times Square
A lot of people, those crosswalks
What about you?
Your favourite places
The weirdest, these kind of things
One of my favourite places is the Atacama Desert, Chile
It was a place that we went that it's not that common
And it's a great opportunity for who's in Brazil
Because it's nearby
It's really cheap
And it was incredible
The hotels are amazing
You get a flight to Santiago
And then you go to San Pedro de Atacama
Which is a city in the middle of the desert
It's called acclimate because it's really high up
And you get really dizzy
You have to stay a couple days
You can't eat red meat
To help your body to acclimate
We did solo excursions
We rented a driver
And it was so cheap!
- [Catarina] We had a driver- - [Jo] I love this
Food was cheap, accomodation, everything was cheap
And you see these desert landscapes
And I've never been on a desert before
I thought there would be nothing to see in the desert
That It would be just sand, nothing else.
There are mountains, lakes...
The salt flats
I love it, I've always wanted to go
It's wonderful
It was a place which we took low expectations
And I think this helps
It's not like when you go to Paris for the first time
You get really high expectations
We didn't have much expectations
And when we got there...
It's something I recommend to everyone
It's one of the most beautiful places we've ever been to in the world.
And another beautiful place is where we spent our honeymoon
The French Polynesia
I don't know if you've been there
French Polynesia!
I was going to mention
Your Instagram is very tropical
Tropical, yeah
That's what it is
Actually I like the city way more
Europe, the cities and everything
But Rafa is more into a tropical style
It's good to-
That's how it is-
That's how it is with us too.
I can't even speak properly
Any of you too prefer-
He loves the city
I love the beach
He also likes the beach and I also like the city
But like, if I had to opt I would go to the beach
If you can choose
Yeah, we are exactly like that
I like the city, to do a lot of things, a lot of activities during the day
And he'd rather be relaxed on the beach
Enjoying a good place
French Polynesia

These are my favourite places
And I also loved Chile because of the food
I have this thing where I remember places by their food
I remember France because it was the first time I tried Crème brûlée
It was in France
They have this in Brazil, it's really common
But I was like "Oh, this doesn't look good, It's just a little custard"
"It's not a lot"

And then I tried for the first time there
And It was something like "Oh my god"
Every country I remember by the food I had
That was incredible

It's a flavour memory. I don't know why.
I think it's interesting because we-

Don't remember the food we had on the places we went to
Of course, you don't even eat

There are travellers who
Remember the food they had, the cultures
And others who-
There are people who's about the visual, others who's about the smell
About the food... I'm about the food
My mom argues with me like "Oh! You only think about the food"
I want to go back to eat
That's good
Even if the food is not that great.
But my head is fixed on that memory that it was delicious.
What do I remember?
Like, nothing at all
I think that you are really about the visuals
I'm about the coffee

Yeah, like
It's okay
I mean the coffees

Because I really like to dance
This is something I don't pay any attention to
I couldn't tell about the places
The smells
But here in the America
What's the food that makes you think about the American culture?
I don't know
Something that you like
It's not necessarily the food from the place
Like, when I think of New York
I love a specific dish from the Buddakan restaurant
I don't know if you ever went to Buddakan
In Paris
In New York
Next to the Chelsea Market
It's a specific dish. New York reminds me of that dish
It's not necessarily American
But the city reminds me of that food. Do you know what I mean?
I don't know. Where we live there's a peruvian restaurant
Where we always go to
I know that if I ever move from here, when I think about that city
I'll remember the food I had in that peruvian restaurant that we love
I'm always about the food.
That's how my memories work
Lastly, what's your favourite country?
We always change that
Now you have to choose
One country?
One country? I think it's the United... No.

I don't want to say this because it's so...

France
But...
But that's what it is
Yeah but I want to be more exotic
Okay, I'm going with France
Because it's true
France it's my favourite country
I really like the culture
Really intelectual
They're really curious
When you see a french person
They're always curious person
They'll a lot more-
They'll ask more about you than talk about themselves.
And...
I don't know, there's a-
That's how my portuguese is
A french person will always have a favourite book
A favourite art
An opera
Opera?
A favourite opera
And here in America I don't see that
They're less interested in these kind of things
Cultural
What about you?
Italy
Whenever I have a free time
I'll go there by myself
And I love it. Because I never feel lonely there.
Because it seems like they have this brazilian wamth
But european
And I also love the language
I speak with my hands, like this
Yeah, I already feel like-
Like you belong to their culture, speaking with your hands
And they're more-
They have this passion
Like, everything they say will have emotion
Either if it's good or bad
Do you know what I mean?
They'll be a bit more aggressive
More intense, but I'm intense too
That's why I get along with them
And I love the food, although it's really heavy
I go there wearing larger pants

But I love it
And we are well aligned
Mine used to be Italy
And now I'm more into France
Really?
I love Italy because it's such a beautiful place
I love the language, the culture, all of this together it's really cool
But last year we went on a trip to the south of France
I love the south of France, if I had to choose
South of France
It conquered our hearts
The food was fantastic
The people was so cool
It was like Italy inside of France
Exactly
And it was beautiful
Wow, a lot of history
A lot of culture but at the same time the nature was beautiful
And we were like "Oh my god"
We decided already. That's where me and Rafa will retire
