5 things to do right when you encounter a stroke

(How To Start A) Bonsai Tree Collection - Shohin Larch Part 4 - Duration: 7:52.

Hello everyone and today I am going to be

working on a little Larch tree which is

part of the how to start a bonsai tree

collection. It's a beautiful little

tree and has been in this plastic pot

for a number of years. I t's grown enough

and I think its time for it to have its

own pot. so stay tuned.

Hey it's me, Iqbal Khan, if you have not yet

subscribed to mikbonsai then click

the subscribe button and hit the bell icon

to subscribe and receive notifications as I

upload new videos.

That's the let Larch tree which

we are going to repot today. Its

been in this plastic pot for a number of

years and I think the time has now come

to for this to go into its own

little bonsai pot and the trunk has

thickened, its slightly thicker than a pencil

and has some surface roots so without

further ado we will get starte,

so now I am going to take the tree out of the

pot it was very easy and start working

the top.

There are a few weeds here so

I'll take those out, we don't want them

transferred into the new pot with the

new soil. There is Bonsai soil from

the previous report, which helps

and the bottom is full of roots. I will

have to basically trim these off and

that's the wire mesh which is completely

tangled up in the roots. There's a couple

of wire meshes. Just take that out,

put that to one side, here's the other one

where the roots have gone through it.

Just do a quick root prune and like

so and that's all I am going to do with it

for now. We'll tidy up and catch up shortly.

I have chosen this pot, it's quite a quirky

little pot. I've prepared it with wire

mesh and also wired it up to secure

the tree in it and I will now start

repoting it and put some soil in it.

First create a little mound and then

ease the tree in on it, like this and

I also have anchor wires

and we will secure the tree

in the pot with the anchor wires

and I'm going to do that now

and after that we'll continue adding more soil

that's the anchor wire I'm going to do

it gently and lightly by my hand and then

tighten it up it with a plier afterwards

and same thing with the other

side and I will now use a plier to

tighten, just gently tighten these wires and

we'll do the fine tuning after we've

added some more soil to the pot.

We have to straighten it up a bit

more by putting some more soil

underneath the tree and centralise it as

much as I can,

and now I'm going to use

the chopstick to drive the soil in between

the roots making sure that there

are no air pockets. As you can see the

soil is sinking in the pot and that's

because it's being driven into the air

pockets and will try to ensure that is

thoroughly done.

I'm now going to secure the tree

in the pot, just checking to

make sure that it's at the angle that I

need it to be at. A slight adjustment

here and that's done by pushing the soil

underneath the tree from the bottom

which pushes up the side from which the

soil is being pushed in, so now I'm just

going to tighten these anchor wires and

make sure that the tree is fully secured.

Yeah that's tight enough

and I will now cut these anchor wires

and then turn the rest in and bury it

into the soil, hiding it from view.

i am going to finish the repoting by

adding a little bit more soil to top it

all up and that should do. I will again

firm it in. its quiet a small pot I am

going to use my hands to firm it all in

and now we'll give it a quick soak.

I have a little watering can

will keep watering until it runs clear

go around the tree

and give it a quick prune there's a

little dead branch here so I'm gonna take

that out and also the new growth

I am going to prune that, there is very little

pruning to do. There are just a few

branches which I'm going to prune back

to there and this one again to there

and there's this one too there, so that's all the

pruning that I'm going to do on this

little tree today.

There we are folks the little Larch

repotted from its plastic pot into

proper bonsai pot, lightly pruned and

I think it's the pot matches a tree very

well they complement each other.

I am going to give it a quick 360 so you can

see the tree from all sides and the pot

is a bit quirky it's uneven it's

handmade and Thats where we started

Hello everyone! Welcome to Ruchkar Mejwani with Sonali.

Our meals are incomplete without rotis (Indian flatbread).

Lot of time we are left with extra rotis. What we do is, throw them away..

..what if we use these rotis for making a dessert? How would it be?

So, today I'll be showing you 'Leftover Roti Cake'.

We will need 1.5 cup roti crumbs. I am going to grind these rotis in a mixer.

Make pieces of roti and add them to the mixer container. These are stale rotis.

Lets make crumbs.

We need the crumbs to be this fine.

Now, lets add the dry ingredients in it.

I have taken 4 tbsp white flour.

3 tbsp desiccated coconut. Lets mix this a bit.

Now, we are going to mix all the wet ingredients.

And, I am going to take 1\2 cup oil in the blender.

In that add 1 cup caster sugar.

Next, we will add 2 eggs.

Now, lets blend these ingredients.

Lets mix this mixture with the dry ingredients.

Lets mix everything.

Now, we will add 1 tsp Vanilla essence in this.

Lets mix it again.

Lastly, I'll be adding 1 tsp baking powder..

..and 1\2 tsp baking soda.

Lets mix it nicely.

Now, I am going to add the cake batter to the greased and dusted mould.

Tap it so that the air bubbles release.

Now, we have to bake it. For that, I have preheated the oven at 200 degrees.

We have to bake it at 180 degrees for about 30-35 mins.

Our cake is ready now.

Now, lets unmould it.

How to Submit an Article - Duration: 3:52.

Hi there.

I am John Bond from Riverwinds Consulting and this is Publishing Defined.

Today I am going to talk how to submit an article to a scholarly journal for possible

publication.

So, you have done the research.

You have compiled your data and drawn your conclusions.

Your manuscript or paper is written.

You have had colleagues and friends give you feedback and you have made appropriate changes.

You have had it proofread by a friend.

Now it is game time.

You want to submit the manuscript for publication in a peer review journal.

But how do you proceed?

First, draft a list of possible journals for consideration.

Hopefully, you know and read these journals religiously.

This will help to decide which journal to try first, based on its niche.

Next, go to your top targeted journal and read their Guidelines for Authors or Information

for Authors.

Study it and ensure you are in 100% compliance, such as with their requested page count, reference

style, types of manuscripts they seek.

Third, consider whether you should query the editor of the journal about their interest

in the submission.

Some journals encourage this, some allow it, and some don't address queries without the

manuscript.

Now you are ready.

Most journals will use a manuscript submission tracking system.

Popular ones are Editorial Manager by Aries Systems, ScholarOne by Clarivate Analytics,

and others.

When you find get to journal's page for submission, your first step will likely be

registration.

You will create an account that you will potentially use to check back in on its progress.

Next you will need to enter into the system information about your manuscript.

This will include title, authors including contact information and degrees, keywords,

and more.

Likely, you and the co-authors will need to sign a conflict of interest statement as well

as potential financial disclosures.

Next you will upload the manuscript.

The text part of the manuscript will be separate, as might the abstract.

After that, you will upload the various components such as tables, figures, videos, or more.

Most journals have exacting requirements as to the format and size of the files.

The journal might then display a PDF or complied version of the paper for you to approve.

The final step is, although for some journals it might be earlier in the process, is signing

a copyright statement or form.

All authors of the paper will need to read and sign it, likely electronically.

You may need to acknowledge any fees such as an APC or author processing charge for

an open access journal, but they are usually not due at this stage.

You may also be asked for colleagues in your area of specialty to submit your article to

for peer review, but they are likely to have their own list as well.

From there, the journal and peer review process take over.

Each journal has a slightly different procedure, but they all roughly follow these steps.

He said on the Transfer Window podcast: "They found something which made Liverpool slightly wary of paying the full fee, which was in excess of €60m (£53m).

"Liverpool offered a compromise agreement - based on the medical results which of course Lyon were made aware of - which included a flat fee plus add-ons should the player play X amount of games, should they achieve certain results.

Which is fairly normal in terms of transfers anyway.

"The abnormality in this case was the lowered initial fee.

Lyon have rejected that and now Fekir is in a no mans land.

"I'd say the chances of it being completed this summer are 50/50.".

The Gunners have agreed a €30m (£26.2m) fee with Sampdoria for defensive midfielder Torreira.

He has a €25m (£22m) release clause in his contract but Arsenal are willing to pay a premium so they can spread out the payments.

According to the Daily Express, Arsenal could then announce Torreira's arrival before Uruguay's World Cup fixture against Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

6.25am: 9.35pm: Thibaut Courtois wants out of Chelsea this summer - but fears Alisson could block a move to Real Madrid.

Journalist Duncan Castles explained his dilemma on The Transfer Window Podcast.

He said: "Thibaut Courtois has told Chelsea hes not interested in signing a new contract.

He is hoping to move this summer.

"Hes prepared to wait until next summer when his contract is up, but he would like to get a move - ideally to Madrid.

"Ideally Real Madrid although Im told that is unlikely at present, he thinks Alisson will be the choice as goalkeeper - but hes sees the option of Atletico were Jan Oblak to leave..
