youtube's been good to us then it was so hard for me when I do the fashion week
everyone is laughing and having fun and I'm so self conscious they're just going to look at my teeth
so my goal is to see if I can get you to smile I think there's a part of you that
says I just want to grow my platform or my I think you said followers but you
just have a lot more opportunities to be able to do some things if you weren't
guarded against your smile because everything else is just perfect and then
all the sudden you just get this little limitation and there's no reason for you
to have it you have a whole life to live you know what happens if you had to go
four more years or five more years if you always ask people if you just go
back 24 months how many more people would you have smiled at how many more
people would you I would have talked to a lot of people, especially guys!

cause face to face I'm like they're going to stare a my face it's a subconscious thing I think everybody watching this
would agree if there's something holding you back you should be able to get it

being serious I felt like there was something missing in your element

People talk to me like you're so friendly you're so outgoing but through your pictures you're just so different

thinking wow she's pretty serious and once I knew that then we kind of got
engaged in I think he worked with some people from our staff I did I met a lot of amazing people that
helped me through every single thing the process as well as you can tell I had a hard time getting
the fitted right they help me every step out of the way and I like taking their time
and doing this I was more than amazed and that's why I was like you know what
it's worth it for me to be patient even if it takes for a year I want everything
I can do to get you to where smiling is not a problem where you don't think about
it you know we sent you some draft ones your team helped me you send me out the
first veneers I was like in love with it it was perfect they fit tight enough and
just it was I feel like these are made for me
the only thing in the top bottom I mean the top one was like I just felt like they were a little bit big
me yes and so we at the time we thought they can't be look at the impression and
then when you said I want to try again I said your another impression it made
it real clear that we'd actually kind of moved the gum line and so we gave us
more opportunity to be aggressive you haven't seen the last ones yet so let's
get started let's get some new ones everybody's gonna ask but I don't think
they doubt that you ever seen it's gonna take a little bit to get used to

worked hard to get yours done I know pretty challenging because of the way they
gapped down a little down but if you didn't if we didn't work together the
only choice you would have had was to grind your teeth Definitely I love it. I'm not going to stop looking at myself now. well it's just that
you've trained yourself not to let your lips go up yeah and that's why now it's
like now I have to turn back myself to smile like it's okay You can smile no one is looking at you Now that's what I have to get used to I still feel like
I still feel like oh my god you're staring at me I'm staring at you now
because 15-20 years God knows how long I didn't a smile I'm hoping that you'll use
it as a tool to have a voice to do stuff it's closer not just clothes makeup hair
and things that you're passionate about and go out there and not be so
scared straight up just go right exactly but you're a strong person
you realize you ran over me you're like hey dude I get that a lot I'm so tiny but I tell someone like, no.
If something is wrong or something is unprofessional I like to stop them
I like the way you say that. Because I feel like I grew up enough here to know what's right and what's wrong.
where I come from it depends on who you are as big a following as you have as many pictures as
you post hundreds of thousands of people and you don't smile at guys because
you're afraid they're gonna judge you Your teeth look so freaking good thank you thanks to you you're the genius behind it
you're just a happier person you if anyone ever wants to know what
you really like I can tell you that I think you're a lot more happy than you
are serious even though you've done really good at carrying yourself I was
very glad that you work with me you always have to have motivated people on
both sides and we're always looking for people we can make the change with I
think today we've made a big change Don't you think? Definitely

Hi, Sharon Danley here with another Two Minute Tips. This week's its about two tips in two minutes.
First tip - want to wear your hair curled
but you you haven't got time for a variety of different reasons and you
need to get on a boat your day well here's a fast and easy tip with just a
sponge roller and a scrunchie so I'm going to take all my hair and put it up
into a ponytail now with people who have hair about this length you you know some
of you wear your hair though for those with curly hair you wear you know a
roller tube and maybe in the top Erlik or a sock bun or something like that
well this is kind of the same thing only for day wear now I'm taking this sponge
roller and wrapping it around the hair now the thing I love about sponge
rollers is you can make the curl as tight or as loose as you want depending
on how tightly you roll it okay now now that that's in let me just pull back a
little bit more then you take your scrunchie and you simply put it over top
like so and then you make sure that you use the
scrunchie hair to cover over the roller secure with a bobby pin and then
you're good to go about the day doing your errands or whatever at day's end
you got a date with hubby or whoever and you want to let your hair down and
flowing you just whip off your scrunchie take out the roller turn your head
upside down and back ala rita hayworth and you've got some
wonderful girls that are fresh and vibrant and tip number two I have a dome
brush here that is in my rather massive collection of brushes that I've had over
the years I needed a denser brush for around my eyes so I needed a smaller one
but there's no way I'm gonna go buy another brush so what I did was I took
an elastic band and I simply wrapped it around the base of the brush as many
times as you need to what that's doing is making the brush more dense because
it's bringing the bristles in and tightening them up there now that's
that's smaller and it's more dense so let me just get a little closer here for
you so what I like to use it for is when I'm putting on my makeup I need to push
what they do a finish powder I push it in like this and push it along here like
that I also push it around the nose and
around the corners of the mouth why because it pushes the makeup in better
when you do it there's several ways to wear your dual finish powder and you can
put on with just a sponge with a dense Bunch for you no more difficult areas
with a with a regular foundation brush or whenever it all depends on what your
skin needs are but I've noticed for me because you know I'll have a picture
here hopefully of how I look normally and but I'm finding that my eyes need to
have I needed to push and I found that this is this really
works well the other thing that I've done is I've started using the go Mac
long-wear Pro Longwear concealer sometimes I just mean sometimes after
I've put my makeup on then I put a little bit of concealer in where it
needs it and then I put take this brush to add just a little bit more powder
overtop works great for the entire day so that's it I currently do you can wear
during the day in camouflage and a dome brush made nice and dense for the inner
corners of your eyes. Hope those helped. We'll see you next time.

Meet a Science Major: Blake Day, Chemistry - Duration: 2:26.
My name is Blake Day and I'm a chemistry major.
One thing that I think makes it the best major for me is it's got this almost fantastical
element to it and I grew up reading a lot of fantasy as a child.
So there's this idea that you can take all these different elements on the periodic table
and kind of combine them in a very wizardly way and all of a sudden you have a new drug
or you have a new material.
It's just very appealing -- and why that happens.
I actually was very fortunate: I've been able to do undergraduate research for over two years
The amount of commitment I've put in, going in for whatever needs to get done and beyond has
really opened up so many other things to do, like going to a conference and presenting a poster.
Getting the SURE grant was amazing.
I got to go to Southern California for a conference.
The weather is gorgeous.
I'm sitting in this room surrounded by legions of people who have much more experience and
love the same field as much as I do, which was an utterly transformative experience.
Don't be afraid to ask questions!
They have stuff like "help holes" or TA hours.
("Help holes" like the "Mole Hole").
Any of the help centers: go to them, ask loads of questions.
I work in one and I love it when students come in.
It shows that they really care.
Beyond that these classes ramp up and are not going to get any easier, so understand
that the amount of work you put in now can really define how you experience your path
as you move along and whether or not you enjoy them or they're something that's soul-crushing.
Also to have balance.
Respect your life boundaries and your ability to rest and cool down.
You don't want to burn yourself out.
I really want to help guide and mentor others coming after me so at the moment I really
want to become a research professor.
I want to be able to mentor students who come to my lab and also teach classes because I
absolutely love the field I study and to even just communicate some of that passion and
some of the impact that field itself can have would be the most fulfilling thing.
If I could have students who maybe they didn't care about my class and forgot the words I
said as soon as they were out the door but if they remembered the fact that there is
something to be said here and there's something passionate about what you can do that is not
completely devoid of emotion or benefit to society that would be really important to me.

First tip - want to wear your hair curled
but you you haven't got time for a variety of different reasons and you
need to get on a boat your day well here's a fast and easy tip with just a
sponge roller and a scrunchie so I'm going to take all my hair and put it up
into a ponytail now with people who have hair about this length you you know some
of you wear your hair though for those with curly hair you wear you know a
roller tube and maybe in the top Erlik or a sock bun or something like that
well this is kind of the same thing only for day wear now I'm taking this sponge
roller and wrapping it around the hair now the thing I love about sponge
rollers is you can make the curl as tight or as loose as you want depending
on how tightly you roll it okay now now that that's in let me just pull back a
little bit more then you take your scrunchie and you simply put it over top
like so and then you make sure that you use the
scrunchie hair to cover over the roller secure with a bobby pin and then
you're good to go about the day doing your errands or whatever at day's end
you got a date with hubby or whoever and you want to let your hair down and
flowing you just whip off your scrunchie take out the roller turn your head
upside down and back ala rita hayworth and you've got some
wonderful girls that are fresh and vibrant and tip number two I have a dome
brush here that is in my rather massive collection of brushes that I've had over
the years I needed a denser brush for around my eyes so I needed a smaller one
but there's no way I'm gonna go buy another brush so what I did was I took
an elastic band and I simply wrapped it around the base of the brush as many
times as you need to what that's doing is making the brush more dense because
it's bringing the bristles in and tightening them up there now that's
that's smaller and it's more dense so let me just get a little closer here for
you so what I like to use it for is when I'm putting on my makeup I need to push
what they do a finish powder I push it in like this and push it along here like
that I also push it around the nose and
around the corners of the mouth why because it pushes the makeup in better
when you do it there's several ways to wear your dual finish powder and you can
put on with just a sponge with a dense Bunch for you no more difficult areas
with a with a regular foundation brush or whenever it all depends on what your
skin needs are but I've noticed for me because you know I'll have a picture
here hopefully of how I look normally and but I'm finding that my eyes need to
have I needed to push and I found that this is this really
works well the other thing that I've done is I've started using the go Mac
long-wear Pro Longwear concealer sometimes I just mean sometimes after
I've put my makeup on then I put a little bit of concealer in where it
needs it and then I put take this brush to add just a little bit more powder
overtop works great for the entire day so that's it I currently do you can wear
during the day in camouflage and a dome brush made nice and dense for the inner
corners of your eyes. Hope those helped. We'll see you next time.

Meet a Science Major: Mirek Brandt, Physics - Duration: 1:58.
My name is Mirek Brandt and I'm a physics major.
Physics was what I found the most interesting in high school.
Initially before I was a physics major I was a mechanical engineering major here.
I ended up switching my major a week before school started.
I knew that I wanted to do physics and on the car ride over I was talking to my dad
about how much I want to do physics but I was basically scared of doing it.
And he said "well why are you not doing physics then?
Why are you doing mechanical engineering?"
So I called the office here and got an appointment to switch my major on the car ride up.
Specifically, the things that have changed my thinking about science the most is doing
science, so doing my undergraduate research, which I've had a lot of opportunities to do here.
For anyone there's a lot of opportunities to do that here.
Which is kind of amazing.
Especially after talking to people at other universities who sometimes don't even have
the opportunity to do so.
I think if I could summarize the way that my thinking about science has changed most
since coming here, it's probably my comfort with being wrong.
I kind of think of it as something nice now, because it indicates that I know I'm wrong
so there's no more ambiguity about it. I can learn something new.
Exercising, hanging out with friends, those things are really important.
They actually help your productivity in a non-intuitive way.
So studying ten hours might not actually be as productive as studying for six and doing
something else for four.
The most important thing is to find people that will help you and the thing to aim for
is try to be as helpful as possible to people and patient and hope that they do the same
for you when you're struggling.
That's been something that's very important.
