Youtube daily report w Jun 3 2018

We're back with more Cyber Formula. Before we begin, let's try out Nu Asurada's ability.

I've hard-subbed this in case of offline viewers. Look at the green texts above.

We're back at Australian GP, home of one of the most exciting races in this game so far.

Once again, we have to win here if we wish to keep Fritz's championship chase at bay.

Sydney R has a faster pace than its original layout.

De-accel a bit here to gain traction, then tackle the upcoming corners flat out.

This chicane corner is a deep left-right corners. Slow down, turn in early. The AI likes to screw up here.

Use the Lifting Turn here. Aim for the inside apex on the exit, but be careful not to hit the wall.

Slow down here and navigate through these corners very carefully.

Boost as soon as you can once you enter the straight.

Disengage the boost here. Slow down, aim for the red stripes on your right, and go through the next deep corner with another Lifting Turn.

Once again, use the Lifting Turn. Be careful not to steer too much during the lift. You don't want to fly into the wall when the car smashes down.

This corner is identical to the last.

These multiple turns can be a bit tricky.

Boost at the end and go downhill, back to the start-finish straight.

Nice and easy. Back to P1.

So far, so good. Fritz's still behind me, though.

First, second and third places have rather big gaps here.

I aimed the car too narrow there.

So far, Fritz's rubber band is very aggressive, but he keep messing himself up and he can't catch up.

This lap is pretty bad. I may have a problem here.

Forgot to use Lifting Turn there. Then again, it's good to have a bit of a variety.

Perfect cornering!

That was even faster than the qualifier's time. This Nu Asurada isn't for show.

Bad entry, bad exit. Hrrnn...

That's another 10 points in the bag. Thank you very much.

Shinjyo hasn't made any improvement at all, has he...

If Phill wins the next race, I need a second place finish. Otherwise, it's over for him.

Next time, Fujioka. It is not going to go as smoothly as this one.

Me dói real", disse ela na primeira publicação. "Na minha cabeça era para estarmos juntas apoiando umas às outras independente da escolha de cada uma

Porque não podemos escolher formas diferentes de nos definir além do que foi imposto pela sociedade? Uma mulher de verdade é recatada ou não, é mãe ou não, é sofisticada ou não, é culta ou não", finalizou

What I'm Currently Reading | June '18 - Duration: 8:44.

Hello everyone!

I am Ashleigh, and today I'm going to be talking about the books that I'm currently reading

this week, because going into the month of June I seem to have quite a few books on the

go, so I thought I would talk about them since I've just done my wrap up and they didn't

fit in there.

So the first book that I'm currently reading is The Smoke Thieves by Sally Green.

This is an ARC that was sent to me by Penguin, and it's about a band of characters whose

lives are all linked together by a mysterious bottle of demon smoke.

I don't know how they're linked together yet, and I won't actually find out how because

I'm going to DNF this book.

I was reading it this morning, on the day that I'm filming this, but as of right now...I'm

DNFing it, because I am not getting along with it at all I'm afraid.

I don't know whether I just don't get along with Sally Green's writing style, but I feel

like it's just really clumsy and it's a bit awkward to read.

I'm just over a hundred pages in, and that's what I usually give books before I decide

to DNF them.

And I'm still not really liking any of the characters - in fact they're all annoying

me because specific character traits for all of the keep being repeated, and I don't know

why.

For example there's Tash, who really like boots, and you know this because it's mentioned

on every single page.

There's March, who absolutely hates the person he's working for, and you know this because

he mentions it every single time he talks.

And there's Catherine, who lives in a very restrictive society but really really likes

this one person, and you know this because that's all her chapters consist of.

And it's actually the character of Catherine where most of my problems lie.

Because when this ARC arrived, it came with a letter from Sally Green writing about some

of her intentions with this book.

Now the couple of paragraphs that I'm about to talk through, I will actually copy out

and put in the description box down below so that you can read it for yourself if you

want to.

But she basically says that while there are a lot of talks about feminist characters in

YA, there aren't that many strong, intelligent female characters who don't end up being the

bad guys of the story.

Now even when this package arrived, I remember saying in one of my videos that I couldn't

agree less with Sally Green, because I feel like every single Young Adult book that I

read has intelligent, female, strong protagonists who don't end up being bad guys.

So I already was quite sceptical of Sally Green's view of this.

However she then goes on to say that this story works because of this one character,

Catherine.

And she basically says that she hopes she has embodied and accurate representation of

a strong intelligent female protagonist within that character.

So I went into this book with my focus on Catherine, because while I was sceptical about

how Sally Green perceives the representation, I was intrigued about how she did the representation.

Unfortunately I didn't like it, because it's just so blatantly obvious that it seems almost

lazy, in a way.

Catherine is placed in a setting which is so strongly patriarchal, that every single

paragraph seems to have something going against that.

And it was less of a case of it being written to show her as a strong character, as being

told that she is a strong character because this is everything she's going against.

And it kind of just got to a point where it was so blatantly obvious and mentioned so

often, that every single time I got to one of her chapters and it was mentioned yet again,

I kind of just was like "oh my god I know, we get it, you've said it enough times".

I did actually have a conversation with Kate, who blogs over at Reading Through Infinity,

about this book because she's current reading it at the same time as I was.

And I sent her a photo of the letter so that she could understand what I was talking about,

and we ended up having quite the conversation about feminism and a bit of a rant.

And we were kind of talking about how it was interesting that the "feminist icon" of the

book so to speak was a princess, because Catherine is the princess of the book, and all of the

sort of feminism conversations were put onto her character, meanwhile there were plenty

of other characters that it could have been taken across to, such as Tash, who is literally

the first character you come across and is also a young girl.

But Kate actually pointed out that Tash is the equivalent to working class in this society

and in this book, and so that possibly says something about how people believe that the

working class don't have the power to change anything in society.

Especially because it is the stereotypical princess of the fantasy story who is the one

that's making the change, so to speak.

Another thing that Kate pointed out was that Sally Green, in the letter, says that she's

disappointed by the little progress that's been made since the seventies, and how much

that demeans and diminishes all the progress we have made since the seventies and all the

people that have done that work.

Which I completely agree with, because we have made progress, and it's not fair to just

completely disregard that because we're not quite as far as you expect it to be.

But yes, I just think that the addition of the letter didn't really help anything in

this case, because while it's nice for authors to add a little touch for ARCs that are sent

out, in this case it just put the focus on the wrong person and I probably wouldn't have

had as much to say about this book had I not read this letter, and gone into the book expecting

something revolutionary when there was nothing revolutionary about it.

So I am actually going to be DNFing this book because I can't imagine it getting any better

and I don't want to end up with a massive rant of a review, especially when it's been

sent to me.

But Kate will be finishing this, and she will have a full review on her blog at some point.

So if you want a kind of continuation/more cohesive version of what I've just said, then

I will leave a link to Kate's blog down in the description box.

You should go and check it out anyway because her blog is incredible.

That being said, I did email the publisher and ask if it was alright for me to do a giveaway

for this, because while I didn't get along with it, I know that so many people are excited

for this book, and have enjoyed it already.

I've seen plenty of people rate it 4 or 5 stars, and I just don't want an ARC to go

to waste sitting on my shelves when I'm not even going to finish reading it.

So I will be doing a giveaway of this book over on my twitter between June 1st to June

10th I think.

So if you're interested, then I will put my twitter handle somewhere on the screen - probably

over here - and my twitter will also be linked down in the description box below.

So you can head over there and find the tweet with this included and retweet for a chance

to win it if you are interested.

If I've not put you off.

Apologies if the angle has changed or the focus has changed or anything like that.

I can't wait until I have an actual camera with a viewfinder so that I can see what I'm

doing.

That day will hopefully be soon.

But yes, since I will be DNFing The Smoke Thieves by Sally Green, I will instead be

picking up All These Beautiful Strangers by Elizabeth Klehfoth?

Klehfoth?

Klehfoth, I'm going to go with.

This again was sent to me by Penguin so hopefully I get along with this one much more than The

Smoke Thieves otherwise that's going to be a bit awkward.

This one is a thriller, which I don't tend to read often but I do when I want something

quick or mysterious.

And all I know is that it has some sort of secret society involving a school, which kind

of reminds me of The Secret History but I doubt it's going to be quite as dark as that

book.

Also it has quite ominous sprayed edges.

But I've decided to pick this one up because as of tomorrow?I think? when this video goes

up - I will be starting a summer placement.

I will be working as a communications and digital media assistant, and while I'm easing

into that job and having a schedule and working everyday, I wanted something that might be

a quick read, and somewhat easier to read than a lot of the intense fantasy stuff that

I read or the nonfictions.

So I thought this one would be good to pick up because it sounds mysterious, and mysteries

always get you reading quicker.

You've got to know what happens.

I'm quite intrigued to see how this one turns out.

And the final book that I'm going to mention in this video is Amazons:The Real Warrior

Women of the Ancient World by John Man.

This is a nonfiction discussing the myth of the Amazons, who were a society of warrior

women in the ancient world, and how there's actually evidence that these women might not

have been myths after all, but might have actually existed.

I am just under a hundred pages in this, and I am enjoying it so much.

As you might imagine, it has a lot of archeology involved because it's talking about the evidence

that they've found in their digs.

It's really easy to read, and the subject in itself just fascinates me.

It's also one of those nonfictions that has spreads for the photographs of some of the

things that have been mentioned which - they're so interesting, I just can't even get over

it.

I have spent so long looking at these photos, it's so interesting.

But yes, I am very impressed with this book so far.

Hopefully I shall continue to be.

So those are the books that I am currently reading!

Let me know if you've read any of these and what your thoughts on them were if you have.

I know I had quite a long ramble about The Smoke Thieves so I'd like to know your thoughts

on that.

But other than that, hope you're having a lovely day, and I shall see you next time

with a new video.

Bye!

The Corvette Gets Wrecked! | Frenemies EP3 - Formula Drift Atlanta - Duration: 11:14.

- We're here in Atlanta,

and everyone knows that Atlanta,

there's only one wall to hit and I found that wall.

What up, I'm Matt Field.

- I'm Odi Bakchis, and this is my car.

- And this is my car.

- I think I can teach him a few things.

- Don't get me wrong.

I want to beat everybody out there,

but there's one guy in particular.

- He's a great teammate but an even better frenemy.

- We're here in Atlanta.

This place is crazy.

The track is fast, it's technical,

one of my favorites.

You throw the fans into the mix,

legit people camp out from Thursday night

to get out here to get a spot.

They're wild, they're rowdy,

and the action here is always top notch.

So right as I'm about to load up my car,

I take it for a rip down the street,

the diff blows up.

We're working on the cars til 4:00 AM,

getting the whole drive train back in the car,

very little sleep.

We still had a couple of things that we needed to do,

alignment, this, that, the other.

So going into practice, my first two runs,

they were solid.

I was like alright, let's do some follow runs.

Followed a bunch of different drivers,

we're turning laps, we're doing pretty good,

the car's getting good, but I'm driving tired.

My focus isn't quite there.

And then I followed one guy, Forrest Wang,

known for his style and smokiness.

And unfortunately for me, that smoke is totally what bit me,

I got blinded a little bit,

my muscle memory wasn't quite there,

and everyone knows that Atlanta,

there's only one wall to hit,

and I found that wall.

- My stomach dropped.

That was probably the biggest hit I've seen on this track.

He stepped out of the car, and he's totally fine.

I could just tell right now Matt is running

all the scenarios through his mind.

How do I get my car back together

in a timely manner to get it back on track?

- It's racing.

Stuff just happens.

We drive our cars and push our cars to the absolute limit,

so it's expected that stuff's gonna break.

My team has my back, and they thrash.

Go into qualifying, I know we have a solid car.

All you can do is drive it, feel it.

If it feels good, drive it hard.

All of a sudden, he's here.

And when I go through the smoke, I'm like (bleep).

I should have had better muscle memory, but still.

- The Formula Drift, we go through eight different venues

and they're very distinct from one another.

We have to adjust the car specifically to each one,

our gearing changes, alignment changes,

every single venue, our setup is completely different.

Road courses are a whole different beast,

and we're on one out here in Road Atlanta.

I could run my car very low out here

because the track is very smooth.

I try to calculate everything that I do behind the wheel,

step up little by little from there,

so I'm very calculated.

- First run out, laid it down, no question.

Soon as I take off down the line,

I can tell the engine's not 100%,

but I make it through the run.

Got an 87, not a bad way to start.

Then, on my way back, I'm like, there's smoke in the car.

What else now?

The front main seal pushed out.

- At the end of the day, it's racing.

These kinds of things happen.

Some events are more rough than others,

but that's what we're here.

- For Top 32, I'm paired up with Vankirk.

He's a rookie driver.

The things that rookies mess up on,

they're just overthinking it,

making a simple mistake,

and basically taking themselves out.

If you're a rookie and you have to battle someone like me,

tighten up your car, go as fast as you can,

and try to lay down as solid of a lead line as you can.

- [Announcer] Odi Bakchis hearing that Falken Tires.

Watch this guy drive.

- Play it somewhat safe, put on a good show,

and do what you're supposed to do.

Things go well through both runs,

get to advance to Top 16, so overall,

I'm glad about getting a little bit of practice

going into Top 16,

but it was a fairly easy battle.

- Top 32, we're going against Dirk Stratton.

Dirk is coming from Pro2, so basically a Pro1 rookie,

but he's driving well.

You have to drive smart and drive hard.

- [Announcer] We've got Matt Field and Dirk Stratton.

And here we go, send it fellas, the onboard Vette battle.

Matt Field initiates into the first front clip.

Dirk Stratton taking on that front clip's

second outer zone.

Matt Field tightens it up through that front clip

and exits out of the keyhole.

- That was a veteran driving there, bud.

Great job, great job.

- Out on the follow run, that's gonna make or break.

If I'm following a slower car,

do something stupid and run into him,

that could be the whole battle.

So I just played it safe,

applied pressure where I needed to apply pressure.

He had a solid lead run,

which obviously makes it easier

for the follow car to follow.

I was able to stay close enough and then we got the win.

- [Announcer] And the judges' verdict is in.

Matt Field is your winner.

- Won our Top 32 battle against Dirk Stratton,

Formula Drift's first Corvette on Corvette battle.

He drove great, man.

Seriously super solid.

- Congrats dude.

Good job.

- You drove good.

- When I put two and two together,

that I have to battle Piotr Wiecek,

I know this is gonna be a tough battle.

I met Piotr when he was competing in Europe.

I've battled him before and advanced.

Statistically, there's only so many times

I can beat this guy.

Piotr's been under the gun so much.

It's hard to rattle his cage.

- [Announcer] Piotr Wiecek will lead,

and Odi will give chase.

Here we go, Piotr Wiecek throws in,

and Odi Bakchis right there, wow.

Piotr Wiecek now into that first outer zone

into the second.

Odi will drive down the door.

- I ran as hard as I could,

even though I was blinded by smoke at times.

- [Announcer] Just a gangster initiation.

- I knew that if I just put down a solid follow run,

he's gonna have to step it up when he chases me.

- [Announcer] Barely let him transition in front of him.

You cannot even see Odi.

- It's always great to put your opponent

into a risky situation.

I felt like he might have trouble

keeping that same proximity when it's his turn to follow me.

- [Announcer] Bakchis, Piotr Wiecek,

you see him twitching his way towards Bakchis.

Transitioning up the hill, Wiecek,

right there, wheel to wheel,

looks like they're about to touch Falkens.

We got some serious Falkenry going down.

- He's quite a ways back,

so that's when I'm going alright, we pulled a gap.

After the run's over, I hear my spotter,

and she said, it was a great run,

but then my lead run wasn't probably as great as Piotr.

She's very analytical,

and sometimes, it's the hard truth.

- [Announcer] Slide them right for Piotr Wiecek,

says Ryan, Andy says one more time,

and Brian says Piotr Wiecek gets the victory.

And Piotr Wiecek again, Ryan and Brian siding with

Piotr Wiecek. - Well, that's a bummer.

That was one hell of a ride, gotta take it,

and build on it for next round, I guess.

- Why you got to break my heart Piotr?

- I was lucky, I was lucky for the first time on this track.

I'm still shaking.

- Good luck on the next one, man.

- I will try my best.

Thank you, thank you. - See you.

Unfortunately for us, when you're racing

versus world class drivers,

your margin of error is much tighter,

so today wasn't our day,

but we'll get them next round in New Jersey.

- You're going against Dai Yoshihara,

you know his lead run is solid,

so it's gonna be easy to follow,

but he's also fast and that means your lead run

has to be just as good.

Last time I faced Dai, Irwindale, when I got my win

a couple years ago and he got second.

Dai's a solid driver,

and I know I can drive a hard with him,

so no games this drive.

- [Announcer] Daijiro Yoshihara will lead,

Matt Field will give chase.

Matt Field has had one heck of a weekend.

Dai Yoshihara, he's been looking flawless.

Alright, here we go.

- He does a solid follow.

He kind of underestimated the amount of grip on the entry.

- [Announcer] Matt Field dips his Co into the dirt.

- Had to hang on the hand brake a lot longer

than I would have liked to,

and that immediately gave me a little bit of a gap.

- [Announcer] Man, Dai Yoshihara is on a tear.

- We still have a battle,

we still have a fast car,

just trying to see if we can pull a gap.

- Let's go, Matt.

- [Announcer] And here we go

with the second half of this battle.

It's all Falken right now.

Dai Yoshihara and Matt Field.

- My main goal in my lead run is to just hit my marks

and go fast.

- [Announcer] Field initiates, nasty initiation there

into that front clip.

- To be completely honest though,

my head's not all there.

There's instances I'm going around the track,

where normally I wouldn't pull the handbrake,

but just to be safe I did.

- [Announcer] If he really wants to lock this in.

- I know that cost me a little bit of speed,

but it was just like, huh, I just didn't feel all there.

He had the advantage I guess.

Two judges said Dai, one said one more time.

My heart wasn't in it like it should have been.

- The whole thing is you don't want to leave the event

in the judges' hands, so you just have to beat them

by a margin that there's no

judgment call on behalf of the judges.

So it's just one of those situations,

where Dai was just a smidge better

and the judges gave him the win his way.

- All in all, not a bad round.

Every round the car gets better,

and honestly, I drove better here in this car

at this round than I have ever in my S14.

I see the light at the end of the tunnel,

just it was a rough one this round.

- Overall, I was not happy with my finish here.

The event is over for me, and I'm pretty bummed out

about going out in the Top 16.

But moving forward, I gotta hustle

and get back on the podium.

You can have pretty bad lows,

but the highs kinda balance everything out

and what happened is not so bad.

Real Reason CM Punk QUIT WWE! | WWE Backstage Exposé - Duration: 5:11.

Despite walking out of the WWE in January 2014, CM Punk is still one of the most popular

wrestlers in the world, with chants of his name still ringing through arenas when WWE

fans run out of things to say.

Since leaving, Punk has competed in the UFC, losing convincingly to Mickey Gall, and has

consistently stated he'll never return to his former pro wrestling employer.

So why exactly is there such bitterness between Punk and the company he spent almost 9 years

with?

I'm Luke Owen, and here is the real reason CM Punk left WWE.

In 2005, CM Punk was renowned as one of the most gifted young wrestlers in the world,

holding the Ring of Honor Championship at just 26 years of age.

The hype around punk lead to him being signed to one of WWE's developmental promotions,

Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2005.

Punk gradually built a name for himself in WWE as a star of the future, and after a spell

on ECW and as the brand's champion, Punk cemented his role on the main roster.

Unfortunately for Punk and WWE however, cracks began appearing pretty quickly.

Despite booking him to win the Money in the Bank briefcase at Wrestlemania 24, and five

separate runs with the company's top title, the relationship between Punk and WWE became

increasingly hostile as time went on.

During an infamous podcast on Colt Cabana's "Art of Wrestling" podcast in November

2014, ten months after he walked out the company, Punk spoke out about the reasons behind his

departure for the first time.

He described WWE as a "creatively stifling, toxic environment", and described how many

stars felt trapped by a team of writers and backroom staff that didn't allow for superstar

input.

Punk referenced several occasions where he felt WWE exhibited a total lack of transparency,

for example asking him to star in a film, before changing their mind to Randy Orton

without telling him.

His frustrations only increased as time went on, as Punk felt his work in the company should

have been rewarded with a main event spot at Wrestlemania.

This spot however was taken by other stars time and time again.

This Wrestlemania related anger peaked before Wrestlemania 29, a show CM Punk and many fans

felt he should be headlining, but was instead main evented by John Cena vs The Rock II,

a match which 12 months beforehand had been advertised as "once in a lifetime".

"I kept asking what was going on for 'Mania and Vince kept very disappointingly telling

me that it was going to be the rematch between Cena and Rock."

Punk was booked to lose against The Rock, The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar.

This was almost the final straw for him, saying that losing to part-timers was incredibly

damaging and short-sighted booking.

Apparently when he was told he would be losing to the three aforementioned men, Vince McMahon

explained that it would help him become "the hottest heel in the world", to which Punk

replied: "explain to me how losing to a 45-year-old man that wrestles once a year

is going to make me the hottest heel in the world?

No disrespect.

Explain to me how that works.

Because I'm the one that's still going to be here the next day, you know?

Rock beats me, Rock leaves.

Undertaker beats me, Undertaker leaves."

And it wasn't just his creative frustrations that caused him to quit the company.

Punk revealed his own battle with injuries made him "miserable".

"All the time, it made me miserable.

I guess the black and the white of it, when you just boil it all down, the essence of

it, was I was miserable."

He mentioned how he often felt as though he was made to fight through injury, and that

it got to a point where he hated the wrestling business.

"I was sick and hurt, and sick and tired, and burnt out, and I walked."

Punk's accusations against WWE Dr Chris Amann for clearing him to wrestle despite

being injured and for allegedly misdiagnosing a staph infection lead to Amann filing a lawsuit

against Punk for $1 million in damages.

Punk's final appearance for WWE came during the 2014 Royal Rumble, a match he was booked

to stay in for far longer than he did.

During a spot with Kofi Kingston, Punk suffered a concussion, and WWE doctors took the decision

for Punk to be eliminated early by Kane.

After the match, he spoke to Triple H and Vince McMahon, and it was during this conversation

that he told the two men that he had had enough and was leaving.

Punk claims that McMahon contacted him two weeks later to tell him he had been suspended

indefinitely, There was then no contact between the company and Punk until two days before

his wedding to then WWE Superstar AJ Lee.

Triple H texted Punk to ask for a chat, and Punk said after his wedding and honeymoon,

he'd be happy to chat.

However, on the day of his wedding, Punk received a letter from WWE telling him he had been

fired.

"The day of my wedding I got a FedEx in the mail.

It was my termination papers.

I was fired."

The eyes of the Wrestling World will be on All In on September 1, and who knows what

the future of wrestling holds for CM Punk.

IT'S OVER Jeff Sessions Is Officially Done - Duration: 12:24.

IT'S OVER Jeff Sessions Is Officially Done

Things just got a whole lot worse for Attorney General Jeff Sessions as Fox News' Judge

Andrew Napolitano spoke out to slam him for recusing himself from Robert Mueller's Russia

investigation.

Napolitano believes that Sessions never should have taken the position if he was planning

to recuse himself.

"Jeff Sessions, in my view, and I say this as a personal friend — we have a lot of

mutual friends and I've known him for years — it pains me to be critical of a friend,

but I have to be intellectually honest," Napolitano began, according to Daily Caller.

"Jeff Sessions shouldn't have accepted the job."

Napolitano went on to say that Sessions should have told President Donald Trump when he was

first nominated for the position that he was "going to be in the middle of this Russia

investigation, as illegitimate as I think it is, and as you know it to be, it's going

to happen, and I'm going to be a witness."

"We have hindsight, and it's 2020.

He didn't do that," Napolitano concluded.

This comes after Trump blasted Sessions in a series of tweets throughout the day on Wednesday:

6 Things You Should NEVER Do After Eating! - Duration: 3:14.

Eating is considered to be one life's greatest pleasures, but it's important for us to choose

foods that will nourish our bodies and help us stay healthy.

When it comes to a good meal, the food we choose isn't the only important choice we

have to make.

Some of the habits we have after eating can negatively affect our body.

In today's video we're going to show you what not to do after you eat:

Drink tea This might be news to you since some teas

are said to improve digestion.

The problem is that teas contain phenolic compounds which keep our bodies from absorbing

iron.

However, if you like drinking tea after you eat, always give priority to the ones that

aid in digestion, such as green tea, chai, basil, sage, rosemary, and chamomile.

Smoke There's actually never a good time to smoke.

Cigarettes contain over 4500 toxic substances which increase the risks of the smoker developing

a disease.

Even with the amount of information and anti-tobacco campaigns nowadays there are still people

who insist on lighting up a cigarette after they eat.

Even though there isn't any strong evidence, it's believed that smoking after you eat

can cause ulcerative colitis and even worsen the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.

Nap You always get a little sleepy after eating

a good meal.

But even though you really want to take a nap, this practice is directly tied to obesity.

Furthermore, sleeping with a full stomach increases the risk of heart burn.

Depending on the way you lie, part of the food you just ate and gastric fluid could

come back up and cause that unpleasant burning sensation.

People who snore and go to sleep with a full stomach are putting more pressure on their

diaphragm and lessening their sleep quality.

Eat fruit Fruit is very healthy, but when you eat it

can be very important.

When you eat fruit after a meal, it ends up digesting in your stomach with the rest of

your food, and can cause flatulence.

Take a bath You've probably already heard that our body

needs a good blood flow in order to perform its different tasks, one of them being digestion.

After a meal, circulation is directed to your abdominal region and all of our blood is aiding

digestion.

When you take a bath or swim at the beach or pool, your circulation is directed to your

extremities in order to stabilize your body temperature.

This process can mess up your digestion so you need to wait at least an hour after eating

before you go swimming.

Walk Just like eating fruit, walking can be bad

for your digestion depending on when you do it.

Right after a meal, walking can cause acid reflux and indigestion, but if you wait 30

minutes it becomes beneficial and can aid digestion and weight loss.

Transgender Oregon county commissioner comes out to the public - Duration: 2:19.

I don't mind living in a man's world as

long as I can be a woman in it.

Classic Marilyn.

Really, this is an acknowledgement

and a moving forward on

something that I have known

since I was a child but

I think frankly,

never saw

a path

never had the courage until now

never had the resources until now

to actually realize it.

On June 4th

I will begin living publicly.

full-time, 24/7

as Claire Elizabeth Hall.

It's the big milestone,

big public milestone anyway

in me completing a transition

from male to female.

I am a Lincoln County Commissioner.

I do love that job.

I will be up for re-election to that job

in 2020 and I hope the voters will allow

me to keep the job.

I run the board of directors for our

family homeless shelter and the 9th,

that's our big annual gala.

So, it'll be my big first social event as Claire.

This has been an, is gonna seem I'm sure

to a lot of people very abrupt,

very startling.

Most people I have shared it with

up to now have said that they

didn't see any sign of it coming

a few people have said mmm

I always saw something

about you maybe a gentleness so

I'm not totally surprised

I hope they'll see

that even though the exterior package

has changed, my inner essence really

hasn't changed except perhaps I'm gonna be

happier,

freer

more open, not feeling

like I'm wearing a mask 24/7

but that for the first time in my life

I'm finally able to be me.

Wow.

Chicago Bears Linebacker Sam Acho Reflects On His Childhood In Dallas Texas | BLX - Duration: 3:20.

(upbeat music)

- Back in Dallas, Texas, right now.

This is the home I grew up in when I was

about eight, nine-years-old.

Though I grew up in Dallas, the household I grew up in

was a Nigerian household.

The culture, the food, the music,

everything was that kind of African culture.

That's what this house means to me.

(upbeat music)

So, we're inside my house now.

This is my dad, Dr. Sonny Acho and we're looking

at pretty much a scrapbook.

It's crazy because, you know, my parents used to work a lot,

obviously, to support the family and have four kids.

Yet they never missed a game.

You know in African households, education is

of the utmost importance.

My dad would threaten us sometimes,

"If you don't get this B to a A, or this B- to a B+,

"I'm takin' you outta football."

- We didn't really raise then to play ball, to be honest,

we raised them to go to Saint Mark's and get

their education and go to Ivy League school.

And all of a sudden they got big, got quick,

started moving people around, and they

call it football.

So we have to say "Okay, let's do this."

- It's so cool to be able to come home and know

that I made my parents proud.

Especially knowing all they've been through,

coming from a developing country in Nigeria

and not knowing what was going on.

To be able to come to America and now their

two sons are playing in the NFL.

Like, stuff like that doesn't happen.

(upbeat music)

So right now we are at my high school,

St. Mark's School of Texas.

It's the number one college preparatory school

in all of the state.

- Here he goes. - Yeah, so.

- [Man] They got all your credentials right there, too.

- Yep, all the accolades.

MVP, captain, Campbell Trophy, Weurrffel Trophy.

Without this, it wouldn't have got here.

You know what I mean?

Every time I get a chance to come back home,

come back to Dallas I always try and come by this campus.

Because it reminds me of honestly, my roots.

I went here my whole life.

And because of my time here, that helped me

become the man that I am today.

(calm music)

Right now we're in Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship,

which is the church that I grew up going to.

My dad was a pastor here for about 20 years.

This is where I grew up.

Every week Sunday I was here.

And Wednesday nights we came to the mid-week

services as well.

And it's just a huge part of who I am.

Honestly this is the first time I've been

back in a long time.

It's so rare I get to be able to come back home.

It's been years.

And so I just think about listening to the choir.

You know, and some of the music.

I think about hearing the pastors preach

and thinking about just being 10-years-old

in that pew right over there.

Sometimes playing around with my brother,

sometimes taking notes and really understanding.

But I just remember being a child

and not knowing how important this place was

until coming back like a time like this.

Money doesn't motivate me, success, fame.

My faith in Christ is what takes me everywhere.

THE ULTIMATE LAVA CAKE BATTLE - Duration: 17:22.

Hey, welcome to the channel.

We are Sorted, a group of friends

in London looking for those amazing things in food that

make you go wow, between stitching each other up

and innuendos.

Now be warned, we have two chefs,

but we give them limited air time.

And we make sure all of our ideas

start with a suggestion from you.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

I'm gooey in the middle, baby, let me bake.

Hello, I'm Jamie and somewhere-- that's Barry.

You know what, today, basically everything goes wrong.

This is one of, one of the best / worst videos

we've ever made.

So please, get it out there, give it

a like, tell everyone you know.

Today's ultimate battle is molten lava cake.

They will go head to head to head

to come up with something that is spongy with something liquid

inside.

The rest is up to them.

Go!

Oh, that's how we're doing this.

OK, fine.

Are these [INAUDIBLE]?

Look at the stain in that bowl, disgusting.

Baz, did you say you needed a bowl?

I need a little bowl.

There you go, mate.

Thank you.

I'm going to make a cheats ice cream, which

means whipping this cream to soft peaks, which is one,

knackering, then two, the positive

is that I'm making cheats ice cream, which is basically

cream and condensed milk.

How soft peaks?

Keep it in your original bowl and then stir

through some condensed milk.

So be careful not to knock all the air out of it.

Add some mushed raspberries.

And then, believe it or not, we're going to ripple it.

This 30 minute fondant recipe now becomes a six hour fondant

recipe.

Because this has got to go in the freezer to freezer.

So far I'm--

You're dusting.

--I'm greasing my ramekins and coating them

in a little bit of cocoa powder.

And I think you're going to do the same, aren't you, Jamie?

I'm going to do a mixture of Graham cracker and cocoa

powder around the rim.

Part of the cake has not cooked, has to ooze out.

And that's, for me, always a chocolatey inside.

But it could be other things, couldn't it?

Yeah, you could add other things to it.

If you had an imagination, you could

put like something that wasn't chocolate inside, couldn't you?

You could add marshmallows.

Yeah.

You know what?

That will fit perfectly.

Look.

Yeah, oh no.

They're mine.

They just got chocolate on it.

I know you're going to have to eat that now.

Think lemon drizzle lava cake.

I like both of those things.

So inside is a lemon curd, but it's

flavored with the exotic citruses of kaffir lime

and lemongrass as well as normal lemons.

So I'm hoping that that will bring a different flavor

dimension to your palate and that your palate will

be satisfied.

With raspberry ice cream, my palate is excited for this.

Let's just face it.

Let's be honest with one another.

I know it.

You know it.

You know it.

You've clicked on this video because it's

my recipe in the thumbnail.

I think that's very forward-thinking because you

choose to focus on the thumbnail and you haven't baked this yet.

If it's not got a molten center.

I know, I know this is going to be the best looking

and the best tasting.

Because it's not only got chocolate,

but it's also got peanut butter and salty caramel

in the middle.

And Oreos.

So you just ticked all the cliche YouTube boxes.

And sometimes that works.

That's why you clicked.

And that's why I'm going to win.

Right now I'm just melting chocolate and the butter

in the microwave in a bit at a time so it doesn't burn.

What if you combine s'mores with--

Ebbers hates s'mores.

--a lava cake.

So you put a marshmallow mixture in the middle.

He slags them off all the time.

And then the outside, you have chocolate cake.

And then on the outside of that, you

have graham crackers crushed up.

What if?

That is the question.

And I look forward to it.

Yeah, all served with a salted caramel and cinnamon ice cream.

Pow. [WHOOP]

Ebbers, you're not a fan of the s'more, are you?

I feel like we're a bit s'mored out,

but one thing I would say is after 1,200 recipes,

you've got to work at how to put other things inside of other

things.

And I've never yet seen a s'more combined with a molten lava

cake.

But have you seen lemon drizzle in a cake before?

Not in a molten lava cake, no.

But you have seen it in a cake before.

Not as many times as I've seen s'mores on this channel, no.

Oh.

For reference-- oh.

Let's make this more interesting.

I've got egg in my collar.

Oh, it's down my shirt.

He's laid it.

I washed-- I just washed that off.

No, you didn't.

I did!

What?

The whisk?

Yeah, you piece of doggy poo.

No, that's mine.

That's mine.

No, I'm using it.

There's only one, let me use it.

How many grams of sugar is that?

This is mine.

You were biting me like a schoolchild.

[INAUDIBLE]

You just sucked.

I did a solid bite to you.

And I started dribbling, so I thought I'd just--

You just sucked my thumb.

And I'm really concerned it's ascended.

I'm going to kill--

I'm going to murder you.

Why?

Have you got a lemon on your ball bag?

You've got one of my lemons on your ball bag?

No.

On one side, I've got my eggy, sugary, salty mix,

the other buttery chocolate.

We're going to bring them together, whisk them, and then

fold in my flour to create my perfect, chocolatey batter.

This is why it has to be chocolate.

Look at it.

[GARGLING]

[LAUGHTER]

We actually just gone there.

That's where we've gone, right?

[COUGHING]

Yeah, yeah, don't worry.

It's not there yet.

It's just, I had to get it into--

[INAUDIBLE] you were about to spoon it into your ramekin.

No, it's fine.

Stop interfering!

So for my lemon curd, I've got eggs, I've got sugar,

I've got juice and zest of some lemons.

I need to retrieve the other lemons from the guys' pants.

I will kaffir lime, lemongrass.

And I'm going to thicken that on a low heat in a saucepan.

In that saucepan is also going some honey.

I have mixed some dulce de leche and some peanut butter

together, salted it.

And I'm only going to put a couple of teaspoons

in the middle.

I'm also going to put it back in the fridge

so it sets a little bit more and doesn't start to cook too much.

Because you want to stay runny later on.

So again, two teaspoons to the middle

then top it up with chocolate.

And hopefully you should have a chocolate and peanut butter

effect in the middle.

Like a marbly, swirly, molten bit.

Yeah.

What did you do?

What on earth is going on?

Just giving it back.

I wanted to play fair, so.

Oh no.

So I processed my eggs the wrong way.

I've got a lemon from earlier.

So I don't need it anymore.

That is perfect because I can't use those anyway.

We've started again.

We've now got two egg yolks.

And now I can put the full eggs in.

What's the problem?

I've washed up those whisks.

[LAUGHTER]

They were just clean whisks there.

I didn't know they were yours.

I know I washed those up so I could use them in my cream.

This lemon curd is good to go.

You know how I know?

This.

So now I'm going to stir in some butter

and then strain it through a sieve

and put it in the fridge to cool up.

Oh.

Have you not whisked it?

No.

What have you done then?

I just stuck it straight in.

All right.

Well, I have made a major error.

He's not whisked his cake mix at all.

I wondered why everyone was doing that.

Bowl--

What's wrong with you?

What's the matter?

No, I had a bowl, just had a bowl.

I turned around for a second.

Oh, I was just using what was in the kitchen, which

I thought was the brief.

I thought that's what we do.

The whipped cream.

I've added my melted butter and chocolate

into the egg mix, folded that in with some flour, combined

it all, and now it's ready to go into the ramekins.

Sugar, butter beaten until pale and fluffy.

So now into that goes eggs and milk.

In case it couldn't get any more citrusy,

I'm zesting some limes into my sponge.

Then I chuck in some flour, stir it all together,

fill my ramekins halfway.

I'm going to pipe my lemon curd into the middle

and then put the rest of the batter on top.

So this is not the time to have a casual lean as I'm cooking.

Who knows what's going to happen now?

Marshmallow mix into the middle of my fondant.

My fondant is in the oven.

So I'm going to have a little go at some presentation, which

has always been my strongpoint.

Something, something, something, quenelle some ice cream

or something.

So the thing with molten lava cake,

you've only got a very small window

to get it absolutely right.

And we've challenged the boys to go one for photo,

one for some sexy shots, and one for me to cut into.

Or I can just [INAUDIBLE] if there's no time.

No.

Later.

This is your test one for photo, isn't it?

And yours isn't going to be the photo, so.

You don't know that.

People are watching this for my fondant.

They want to see this in [INAUDIBLE]..

Oh my goodness, he's so cock sure of himself.

And it just so happens that I have some limes knocking about

that I used for zesting.

So I'm going to squeeze the juice out of those

and combine that with some icing sugar, mix it until it's lovely

and smooth.

And that's going to be my drizzle.

Do you know what?

I don't mind mine not being the thumbnail.

Mines more about taste, I think.

[INAUDIBLE] left.

Just remember, you don't have enough mixture.

Just remember that.

Yeah.

[LAUGHTER]

You just spoiled Jamie's chef-y flair?

Stop it.

We all know how this works.

You do something and then I do something worse.

And then you do something worse.

And then Ben's veins pop out of his head.

And then we both gang up on Barry?

Yeah.

Just do that and see what happens.

Will you stop it?

All right, I've got to save this.

[INAUDIBLE] cake right.

That's going to go in there.

This is OK.

[GASP]

So it turns out, I was too organized.

And because I made all three of my lava cakes at the same time,

whilst the other two were sitting there

and this one was cooking, the marshmallow

was slowly falling further and further

towards the bottom, which is actually

the top when you turn it out.

And therefore, it doesn't come out the ramekin

because it gets stuck.

What does lava do from a volcano?

It erupts.

This is the eruption of the s'mores--

can we just take a picture of it?

Barry?

Yeah, mate?

Can we take a picture of mine?

I'm really busy, mate.

Fine, I'm going to take a picture.

And it's going to be the thumbnail.

And then you're going to cry to your mommy.

[CAMERA CLICK]

[CAMERA CLICK]

[CAMERA CLICK]

I might have nailed it, James.

They're completely blurry.

The shutter speed is like really slow.

Why is the shutter speed so low?

I changed the settings.

[BLEEP] right.

[LAUGHTER]

Its construction time.

[LAUGHTER]

What happened?

What went wrong?

I don't know.

Your ice cream looks a bit sad.

It all looks sad, James.

You all right?

[INAUDIBLE], you all right?

I'm taking that to the table because I've

got no other choice now.

I turned mine out and it wasn't cooked

even though it was the same amount of time

as the other ones that I've made just now.

So I'm piping it full of my curd.

[DRAMATIC MUSIC]

[BUZZER]

I'm going to start from this end because this one might

have an ooze.

And then we'll get--

That's definitely got an ooze.

Then we'll discuss that one.

There we go.

Oh, it's the best one yet.

Come out.

That has got a nice ooze, a nice dribble.

That's got an ooze.

It's not as easy as that, though, is it?

I'm so sorry, mate.

It's fine.

It's really funny.

It's fine.

Shiny, glossy, slightly different texture

with the peanut and the chocolate.

Hot and cooked all the way through.

Normally, if a chocolate fondant or a molten lava cake

sticks to the rough of your mouth,

it's probably because it's a little bit undercooked.

Yeah.

That's not the case here.

That's the peanut butter.

This is because of the peanut butter.

That is actually delicious.

That is-- That is quite annoying.

--divine.

It might be the thumbnail.

Well, I told you.

[INAUDIBLE] thumbnail right now.

[INAUDIBLE] Don't inflate his ego.

It's massive already.

However, I like the fact that you've

gone for something different.

You haven't gone for chocolate.

Slop on a plate.

Your third one isn't as good as your first

two, which is quite annoying.

Really annoying, isn't it?

I am not confident about this at all, mate?

Well, you've done a second injection.

I have.

Ignore-- maybe just shut your eyes from now on

and focus on the flavor.

And get a bit of ice cream.

And get a bit of crunch.

So I have to, unfortunately, judge on what's been plated.

Because your first two also, also look the part.

But what this does is taste delicious.

And since it's fresh, the curd has got a tang.

But it's still that kind of gooey, just about liquid center

you expect from one curd.

And the ice cream is great.

[LAUGHTER]

Now, I think you might have a new thing here,

Jay, puddle cake.

I'm going to do the honors and taste it, but my--

I'm guessing, from looking at it,

it's probably a little under.

You know when you muck around and you've done something wrong

and you try and get away with it,

you can't get away with fondant like that.

But to have three different cakes

and them all come out different-- differently.

Yeah.

And the first one was actually the best.

Also, you did miss the plate.

I didn't miss the plate.

So this one flew out of the pot, whereas the other two

stuck a little bit and I had to get the knife around there.

This one, I turned it over, and it went "aflegh,"

and then it went "maah."

Conceptually, your cinnamon mascarpone ice cream

is the best compliment of all three.

The idea is good.

It just-- it just didn't work.

What happened?

This has changed color.

I thought in your first--

I thought this was brown.

Communication error.

Oh.

The thing with molten lava cake is

it is all down to how it looks and that molten ooze.

So you guys can probably judge third, second, and first place

as well as I can.

But all of them tasted great.

You know when you buy them from the supermarket

and you put them in the microwave for 50 seconds,

they come out perfect every time?

Yeah.

Do that.

The question is, would you agree with my decision?

Use the poll on YouTube to get your favorite molten

lava puddle a vote.

And don't forget to check out the link down below.

We'll list a whole playlist of our other battles.

Because some of them have three successes in them.

Jamie got what he deserved.

And if you think you've missed any of our battles,

don't worry.

We've made a special playlist on the channel with our top five

favorite battles of all time.

Do I win any of those ones?

Probably not.

Are you ready for a relevant dad joke of the week?

Can I go now?

No, no, no, stay for this one.

This is a good one.

You ready?

OK, yeah.

I-- I burnt 2,000 calories yesterday.

Yeah, right.

Yeah, forgot to take my cake out of the oven.

[LAUGHTER]

That was good.

Better, better.

Yeah, I told you.

As we mentioned, Sorted is just run by a group of friends.

Homemade Apple Pie Recipe - Simple and Delicious (2018) - Duration: 5:38.

hi guys for those of you just tuning in I'm Jillian Butler and I want to welcome

you to my youtube channel I have to start off by letting you all know that

I've really appreciated all of your comments and your questions I love it so

keep connecting and I'll post things you've been asking for in the next

couple of months I'll be working on video tutorials for my chocolate cake

recipe featured in my top 5 moist cake tips video so subscribe if you want to

know when that's coming up plus I'll be taking you to the Cakery for a virtual

tour in another video but today I'm really excited to bring to you a classic

American favorite dessert before I tell you which one I'll tell you a little bit

about myself I'm obviously Australian but I grew up

half my life in America Dallas Texas to be more specific

Homa cowboys and cowgirls yeehaw can't believe I did that

anyway I still have a lot of family and friends there and before moving back

home I had the proverbial lightbulb moment where I realized that I wanted to

be a pastry chef or maybe a domestic goddess actually no probably just a

professional Baker let's go with that but anyway I just wanted to let you know

why I'm making videos about pies and baking and all things sweet and

delicious

actually it's probably the best option

so the classic pie that I'll be showing you is none other than my mile-high

Granny Smith apple pie served warm with scintillating spices including cinnamon

because it is my favorite Crisp apple and sweet crunchy crust so without

further ado here's the video this is my expresses best recipe for mile-high

Granny Smith apple pie have your dry ingredients in a bowl add your cold

cubed butter and shortening and get in there with your fingers and squeeze the

fats into the flour until it looks like small peas and sand it's okay that

there's a few lumps of fat left because that will add to the flaky layers for

your pie add some but not all of your iced water and mix it up until it just

comes together wrap the dough in plastic and chill for at least 30 minutes put

your dough on the table and press it flat then roll it out to a fairly thin

round sheet today's awesome tip take your pie dough and roll it onto your

rolling pin and then lay it over your pie dish right not sure if you're

wondering why I'm using a disposable foil pie tin in this tutorial I have

dozens of beautiful pie dishes that I could be using and showing off to you

right well the fact is that when you bring dessert to a friend's house the

last thing you want to do is to ask them to stop their conversation or their

dance or whatever they're doing go and clean your beautiful pie dish because

you want to take it home with you or the dreaded keep it till you finish response

because you know it'll be months before you see it again my hot tip for today is

keep your beautiful dishes for your parties at home and bring disposable

pythons to your friends and family no mess no fuss no beggin for the dish

later on trim the dough to the rim of your pie dish then take the leftovers

then roll it out again take a knife or what I'm using which is a pastry wheel

and cut strips of dough and chill both the base

and the strips until you finish with your fillings what a cool contraption an

apple core it peels slices and cores at the same time cut them into quarters and

add the juice of one lemon

now it's spice time cinnamon mixed spices and sugar then use

your fingers to lift and combine the flavors together fill your pie base with

as much Apple as you can and then lay the strips of dough in a crisscross

pattern there's a fancy way to do it in a traditional proper lattice weave but

I'm gonna keep it simple and do it all one direction first and then go back and

do my cross direction glue your strips down with egg wash and give it another

coat to stick the raw sugar to this pie is going to have a crunchy sweet flaky

pastry that will stand up to the coldest of ice creams bake in a preheated 180

degrees celcius oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown

hey thanks so much for watching the video if you have any questions or

comments please put them in the comments below and I'll try to answer them as

soon as I can and if you want to know when new stuff is coming

turn on your notifications and don't forget to subscribe to my channel see
