so what's it like buying fabric for an entire year I'm checking in and I've got

an update for you welcome to the Sewing Report I'm Jennifer Moore helping you

discover your love of sewing crafts and DIY projects at the beginning of this

year I announced that I was going to go an entire year without buying any fabric

a total fabric band fabric blackout I don't know what you want to call it so

it's about six months later and I thought I would do an update video a

follow-up to let you know how it's going what kind of thoughts I've had since

I've not been buying fabric don't am i experiencing withdrawal am I about to go

crazy so I haven't been buying fabric for the last six months my stash the

reason I did it was because I felt like my stash was totally out of control

I just kept accumulating more fabric and there was more than I could possibly use

over a course of several years so at that point I decided you know maybe

enough is enough as you know in 2017 I stopped buying

clothing and I still haven't bought any clothing since then for myself and that

project has been going pretty well that that whole challenge so adding another

layer on top of it I thought might be a little a little frustrating or I might

run into more roadblocks and I've got to say it's been a lot easier than I

thought it would be before I started the ban I did kind of think about all the

projects I might want to do throughout the year and I spend about $100 from

fabric wholesale direct and I haven't really used any of that stuff either so

I think that just goes to show sometimes you think you need something or you

won't you think you won't be able to go without something and you really can in

fact I did a pretty large D stash a few months ago on my Instagram account

sewing reports shop or shops on report I'll I'll throw it up here right now if

you want to follow me in fact I may do another D stash because I'm just coming

to find out that I really have more fabric than I

need at the moment and if we move again which looks like it might be a

possibility in the future move out of this apartment then I definitely don't

want to be lugging around all that fabric again I think that's what kind of

brought me to the breaking point as well so I was like wow you know I keep all my

fabric a lot of it in plastic totes it's if they're very heavy it's a lot to

manage and again I don't know what kind of place we're gonna be moving into

after this so if it's smaller that's definitely gonna be a problem so I'm

deaf I'm certainly trying to use up my stash this year and I'm probably gonna

do another D stash to try to purge fabric that I clearly haven't used and

I'm gonna try to basically purge it I guess I guess that's what I'm saying

not that I'm going like full-fledged minimalist we're not going all tiny

house or anything but I guess I just realized I don't want to be the kind of

person that has shut those like huge ass bookshelves filled with fabric I really

don't want that meet me I've got like kind of a small cabinet right over there

that has some fabric in it and some other notions and I think another thing

that's come out of this whole thing is that I've I don't know what it is but

I'm also gravitating towards other interests like the dollhouse addiction

that's becoming a little bit for problem and I'm also developing an interest in

knitting in crochet and again I think that's another thing that you need to

think about with these hobbies the more you accumulate materials for it supplies

what if your interests change for instance I had a huge stash of quilting

cotton and then I started making garments and quilting cotton is not the

best substrate for a lot of the items I want to make so then of course I had to

start accumulating garment with quality fabrics stuff that I you know knit

fabrics things that were a little more like wash and wear that didn't wrinkle

as easy so again then you just start

accumulating more and more and overtime again your interest could

change you might not be as hot about quilting as you used to be I could you

know totally fall out of the dollhouse thing I have no idea so I'm really

trying my best to try to at least if I'm switching interests trying to offload

some of my other materials that I might not be using the longer it sits to like

not like fabric goes bad but it probably will go out of style and over time maybe

the quality could degrade or it could get discolored I don't know have I been

tempted to buy fabric yes I have every time I get those emails announcing sales

there is one collection in particular that I was that caused me a little bit

of agony it was the cloud9 fabrics the they have this collection called glimmer

and if they're just gorgeous fabrics and they're metallic they've got metallic

threads woven in and I will link it below because it's a gorgeous gorgeous

fabrics and if I could buy one fabric this year it would definitely be that

line I just I just really fell in love with those metallic fabrics and I was

like ah so that's probably the one weak moment I had where I was like oh I

really want that I do want to also do some videos this year with repurposing

fabric from other places um I still haven't done my Goodwill

shopping yet but here's the thing though I just it's not like I need any more

materials to work with I already have tons of fabric tons of supplies so I

really don't need to really go out and buy new stuff or find new stuff so come

on oh but this whole thing has really been an interesting experience and if

you haven't done it or and you you're in a place where you feel like you have too

much stuff this could be really good for you and help kind of change your mind

frame and chill out on some of your you know again I'm also not spending money

on fabrics that's been kind of cool too I think the downside though it I do feel

a little bit bad because I'm not supporting fabric

and fabric manufacturers that's probably the thing that kind of bums me out but

there's so much fabric out there and sometimes it's really hard for you to

pare down what you're going to do what you're gonna buy because you you can't

buy at all none of us can buy every piece of fabric that's ever been created

probably not possible overall it really hasn't been as tough

as I thought it would be I know that sounds crazy but that is the truth and I

think I can I very easily feel like I can go the

rest of the year without buying any fabric so I just wanted to kind of do an

update and let you know how I was doing which is which is pretty good and I hope

Twitter Video shows Chris Giardina, 29, unleashing an expletive-laden string of epithets, including the n-word, at a bouncer and another man outside of a Brooklyn bar.

A Brooklyn real estate agent was caught on video threatening to "bury" a black bouncer while spewing racial slurs at the man in front of a Bushwick bar early Friday morning.

"Touch me again you f—ing n—-r," Boston-area native Chris Giardina can be heard shouting during the cell phone video.

Giardina, 29, is accused of hurling the n-word at a bouncer after an expletive-laden video of an argument that surfaced last week outside Wyckoff Avenue performance space The House of Yes, according to the New York Post.

Then he turns to a man shooting footage of the incident and shouts more racial obscenities: "Yeah I said it, 'cause he's punching me you f—ing s–c.

Here's what you need to know about Giardina:.

Giardina Allegedly Unleashed a Torrent of Racial Expletives After Accusing the Bouncer of Punching Him.

Giardina alleged that the bouncer struck Giardina in the face for exiting out the wrong door.

He was on the phone with police threatening to "bury" him for the assault.

"Get a cop here now or I'm going to end up burying this black guy," Giardina shouts into the phone.

He continues screaming, swearing and hurling racial slurs, while continuously telling police that he was going to "bury" and/or kill somebody.

The video is approximately six minutes long, with Giardina shouting through most of it.

"I will bury you," he repeatedly screams at the bouncer.

"You hit me in the face like a dirty, f—ing black person.

You'll lose your job and you'll lose your house.

Trust me.".

Pointing at the cameraman and bouncer, he exclaimed, "I hate ignorant people.

Sp-c—ignorant. Black—ignorant.

You're the n-gger.".

He Claims He Was Drunk During the Incident & is Not a Racist, Just an Idiot, for Using Slurs.

The New York Post reached out to Giardina Sunday, who claimed he is not a racist because someone else used the n-word first.

"The word that I used, that I'm embarrassed by using, was being thrown around the entire time.

It was already in the air," he told The Post during a phone interview.

"It doesn't make me a racist; it makes me an idiot.".

He said he couldn't recall anyone else using the slur against Latinos, although he is clearly heard calling the person holding the camera a "dumb f—ing s–c.

" Not long after, he starts shouting "dude, s–c, go away s–c.

Giardina claims he was drunk at the time, but also says the video was "manipulated" to make him look bad.

He says that the crowd outside the bar was "actually on my side" until he started dropping racial insults, according to the Post.

Both men on the receiving end of Giardina's racist tirade remained unmoved throughout the ordeal.

"This is America," said the person filming.

"We're better than this.".

Giardina Worked as a Real Estate Agent for the Hipster Apartment Broker MySpace NYC.

"Some companies like to tell you that they've been around the block a few times.

MySpace NYC fired Giardina over the video, according to principal broker Shawn Mullahy, the Post reports.

"I was very disappointed in the video to say the least," Mullahy told The Post.

"I was embarrassed and saddened by it.

It's not in line with the company culture or values.".

The brokerage has lost several agents in the past few years.

MySpace saw the sharpest decline in agent count among Brooklyn brokerages from June 14, 2016 to February 20, 2018, according to a recent analysis by The Real Deal.

The company lost 63 agents, representing a 44 percent drop, the Real Deal reports.

Giardina Would Leave Bottles of Tequila and Birthday Cards for Renters When He Was a Broker.

Had Giardina kept his job with MySpace NYC, he may have had a harder time finding people to rent through him.

His renter's profile on Naked Apartments is starting to flood with people calling him a "racist pos" with links to the video in the review.

"How many times calling people "n****r" or "sp*c* or "dirty black person" is acceptable? If you say less than 15, find another realtor," one review stated.

However, there are a plethora of good reviews among the bad, claiming that Giardina would leave a bottle of tequila for new renters after signing the lease, as well as sending birthday cards to his renters.

"We have rented an apartment from Chris 3 years in a row and love how hard he works for us and keeps putting us in the best apartments! The bottle of tequila waiting at our new apartment is always a good touch along with the birthday cards every year! If you want a broker to spend time in your search, make things easier and to become a friend, work with him.

Thanks Chris!".

There are other reviews claiming that Giardina was a great broker, taking the time to really help renters find the right place, always readily available to answer any and all questions, and was considered an all-around excellent broker.

Giardina was Escorted Out of House of Yes Due to His Aggressive Behavior Toward Another Security Guard Inside the Building.

Jacqui Rabkin, a marketing director at House of Yes, told Gothamist, "We are deeply appreciative of the way [the bouncer] kept his composure while the aggressive patron was hurling racial slurs at him, and we feel he acted fully within his rights throughout the interaction.

"We feel we made the right move escorting this patron out of our venue when he became aggressive and engaged in name-calling towards a different security guard indoors, and that decision was validated when we saw how his behavior escalated outdoors," she added.

The video ends shortly after police arrive on the scene.

According to Rabkin, the cops asked the bouncer if he wanted to press charges, and "he replied that his only desire was for everyone to get home safely and he did not want to waste the emergency unit's valuable time.".

Hello, everyone.

Before I begin,

I would like to say that I, in conjunction with everybody wearing a red ribbon today, am in support of

instituting Asian-American Studies at Williams.

It took me four years to miss the sea.

Being from Florida, I took it for granted and I even hated it for a while.

But I recently realized that one of my favorite things on this planet is the beach at night.

This past week my friends and I took a 2:00 a.m

stroll down to the beach at Hilton Head, where we were greeted by an incredible view.

The sea was at low tide and the coastline extended for miles.

Only the specks of white at the waves' crests were visible

We ran down the sand dune and barreled into the sea.

Well, everyone except me.

I stood on the beach absolutely overcome with emotion.

The dark abyss absorbed my field of vision. The onyx nothingness penetrated me.

I felt small.

I stood on the compacted sand, wind tousling my hair,

salt licking my face and all I could do was clutch my head and laugh.

It was a desperate nervous kind of laughter

And then I cried.

Through my tears, I slowly walked to the sea's edge and I repeated a phrase over and over again.

"A march to the sea, a march to my death."

A little morbid for Hilton Head, I know, but bear with me.

A march to the sea, a march to my death. I have no idea where that came from.

Why on earth was I thinking about my death when I looked at the sea?

Why was the sea, of all things, making me cry?

I realized then that what I saw as death was not death as such, but this feeling of being outside myself.

I lost my body.

I wagered it to the sea when I walked up to her, and I lost it as she enveloped and consumed me.

The sea's sublimity pushed me outside myself, and my being—my soul—

dissolved into the saltwater around me and became just as opaque.

And this anxiety of not knowing where my body ended and where the world began

overwhelmed me.

To say it was terrifying would be an understatement.

And yet I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge that it was also a moment of ecstasy.

The whole week I was saddled with the kind of subdued anxiety that comes right before massive and imminent life change.

In a lot of ways, I was on the brink of a kind of death, of the end of an era

So to feel the water around me, to feel outside myself, bigger than myself, and for it to feel good

was so incredibly comforting. By briefly forfeiting my body to the sea I gained clarity.

Today we are all at the sea's edge.

She calls us into her and of course we're afraid.

We're afraid of not being in control, of things going wrong, of losing the relationships that we spent four years making.

We are on the precipice of the rest of our lives and that naturally makes us feel pretty nervous.

But if the sea has taught me anything,

it's that leaning into that which overwhelms you can feel good because you feel part of something bigger than yourself.

Such is the case with us.

Williams alums that will go out into this world and change it for the better.

So go, my friends

March to the sea.

But not towards your death. March towards your life and don't look back. Thank you.

so what's it like buying fabric for an entire year I'm checking in and I've got

an update for you welcome to the Sewing Report I'm Jennifer Moore helping you

discover your love of sewing crafts and DIY projects at the beginning of this

year I announced that I was going to go an entire year without buying any fabric

a total fabric band fabric blackout I don't know what you want to call it so

it's about six months later and I thought I would do an update video a

follow-up to let you know how it's going what kind of thoughts I've had since

I've not been buying fabric don't am i experiencing withdrawal am I about to go

crazy so I haven't been buying fabric for the last six months my stash the

reason I did it was because I felt like my stash was totally out of control

I just kept accumulating more fabric and there was more than I could possibly use

over a course of several years so at that point I decided you know maybe

enough is enough as you know in 2017 I stopped buying

clothing and I still haven't bought any clothing since then for myself and that

project has been going pretty well that that whole challenge so adding another

layer on top of it I thought might be a little a little frustrating or I might

run into more roadblocks and I've got to say it's been a lot easier than I

thought it would be before I started the ban I did kind of think about all the

projects I might want to do throughout the year and I spend about $100 from

fabric wholesale direct and I haven't really used any of that stuff either so

I think that just goes to show sometimes you think you need something or you

won't you think you won't be able to go without something and you really can in

fact I did a pretty large D stash a few months ago on my Instagram account

sewing reports shop or shops on report I'll I'll throw it up here right now if

you want to follow me in fact I may do another D stash because I'm just coming

to find out that I really have more fabric than I

need at the moment and if we move again which looks like it might be a

possibility in the future move out of this apartment then I definitely don't

want to be lugging around all that fabric again I think that's what kind of

brought me to the breaking point as well so I was like wow you know I keep all my

fabric a lot of it in plastic totes it's if they're very heavy it's a lot to

manage and again I don't know what kind of place we're gonna be moving into

after this so if it's smaller that's definitely gonna be a problem so I'm

deaf I'm certainly trying to use up my stash this year and I'm probably gonna

do another D stash to try to purge fabric that I clearly haven't used and

I'm gonna try to basically purge it I guess I guess that's what I'm saying

not that I'm going like full-fledged minimalist we're not going all tiny

house or anything but I guess I just realized I don't want to be the kind of

person that has shut those like huge ass bookshelves filled with fabric I really

don't want that meet me I've got like kind of a small cabinet right over there

that has some fabric in it and some other notions and I think another thing

that's come out of this whole thing is that I've I don't know what it is but

I'm also gravitating towards other interests like the dollhouse addiction

that's becoming a little bit for problem and I'm also developing an interest in

knitting in crochet and again I think that's another thing that you need to

think about with these hobbies the more you accumulate materials for it supplies

what if your interests change for instance I had a huge stash of quilting

cotton and then I started making garments and quilting cotton is not the

best substrate for a lot of the items I want to make so then of course I had to

start accumulating garment with quality fabrics stuff that I you know knit

fabrics things that were a little more like wash and wear that didn't wrinkle

as easy so again then you just start

accumulating more and more and overtime again your interest could

change you might not be as hot about quilting as you used to be I could you

know totally fall out of the dollhouse thing I have no idea so I'm really

trying my best to try to at least if I'm switching interests trying to offload

some of my other materials that I might not be using the longer it sits to like

not like fabric goes bad but it probably will go out of style and over time maybe

the quality could degrade or it could get discolored I don't know have I been

tempted to buy fabric yes I have every time I get those emails announcing sales

there is one collection in particular that I was that caused me a little bit

of agony it was the cloud9 fabrics the they have this collection called glimmer

and if they're just gorgeous fabrics and they're metallic they've got metallic

threads woven in and I will link it below because it's a gorgeous gorgeous

fabrics and if I could buy one fabric this year it would definitely be that

line I just I just really fell in love with those metallic fabrics and I was

like ah so that's probably the one weak moment I had where I was like oh I

really want that I do want to also do some videos this year with repurposing

fabric from other places um I still haven't done my Goodwill

shopping yet but here's the thing though I just it's not like I need any more

materials to work with I already have tons of fabric tons of supplies so I

really don't need to really go out and buy new stuff or find new stuff so come

on oh but this whole thing has really been an interesting experience and if

you haven't done it or and you you're in a place where you feel like you have too

much stuff this could be really good for you and help kind of change your mind

frame and chill out on some of your you know again I'm also not spending money

on fabrics that's been kind of cool too I think the downside though it I do feel

a little bit bad because I'm not supporting fabric

and fabric manufacturers that's probably the thing that kind of bums me out but

there's so much fabric out there and sometimes it's really hard for you to

pare down what you're going to do what you're gonna buy because you you can't

buy at all none of us can buy every piece of fabric that's ever been created

probably not possible overall it really hasn't been as tough

as I thought it would be I know that sounds crazy but that is the truth and I

think I can I very easily feel like I can go the

rest of the year without buying any fabric so I just wanted to kind of do an

update and let you know how I was doing which is which is pretty good and I hope

Twitter Video shows Chris Giardina, 29, unleashing an expletive-laden string of epithets, including the n-word, at a bouncer and another man outside of a Brooklyn bar.

A Brooklyn real estate agent was caught on video threatening to "bury" a black bouncer while spewing racial slurs at the man in front of a Bushwick bar early Friday morning.

"Touch me again you f—ing n—-r," Boston-area native Chris Giardina can be heard shouting during the cell phone video.

Giardina, 29, is accused of hurling the n-word at a bouncer after an expletive-laden video of an argument that surfaced last week outside Wyckoff Avenue performance space The House of Yes, according to the New York Post.

Then he turns to a man shooting footage of the incident and shouts more racial obscenities: "Yeah I said it, 'cause he's punching me you f—ing s–c.

Here's what you need to know about Giardina:.

Giardina Allegedly Unleashed a Torrent of Racial Expletives After Accusing the Bouncer of Punching Him.

Giardina alleged that the bouncer struck Giardina in the face for exiting out the wrong door.

He was on the phone with police threatening to "bury" him for the assault.

"Get a cop here now or I'm going to end up burying this black guy," Giardina shouts into the phone.

He continues screaming, swearing and hurling racial slurs, while continuously telling police that he was going to "bury" and/or kill somebody.

The video is approximately six minutes long, with Giardina shouting through most of it.

"I will bury you," he repeatedly screams at the bouncer.

"You hit me in the face like a dirty, f—ing black person.

You'll lose your job and you'll lose your house.

Trust me.".

Pointing at the cameraman and bouncer, he exclaimed, "I hate ignorant people.

Sp-c—ignorant. Black—ignorant.

You're the n-gger.".

He Claims He Was Drunk During the Incident & is Not a Racist, Just an Idiot, for Using Slurs.

The New York Post reached out to Giardina Sunday, who claimed he is not a racist because someone else used the n-word first.

"The word that I used, that I'm embarrassed by using, was being thrown around the entire time.

It was already in the air," he told The Post during a phone interview.

"It doesn't make me a racist; it makes me an idiot.".

He said he couldn't recall anyone else using the slur against Latinos, although he is clearly heard calling the person holding the camera a "dumb f—ing s–c.

" Not long after, he starts shouting "dude, s–c, go away s–c.

Giardina claims he was drunk at the time, but also says the video was "manipulated" to make him look bad.

He says that the crowd outside the bar was "actually on my side" until he started dropping racial insults, according to the Post.

Both men on the receiving end of Giardina's racist tirade remained unmoved throughout the ordeal.

"This is America," said the person filming.

"We're better than this.".

Giardina Worked as a Real Estate Agent for the Hipster Apartment Broker MySpace NYC.

"Some companies like to tell you that they've been around the block a few times.

MySpace NYC fired Giardina over the video, according to principal broker Shawn Mullahy, the Post reports.

"I was very disappointed in the video to say the least," Mullahy told The Post.

"I was embarrassed and saddened by it.

It's not in line with the company culture or values.".

The brokerage has lost several agents in the past few years.

MySpace saw the sharpest decline in agent count among Brooklyn brokerages from June 14, 2016 to February 20, 2018, according to a recent analysis by The Real Deal.

The company lost 63 agents, representing a 44 percent drop, the Real Deal reports.

Giardina Would Leave Bottles of Tequila and Birthday Cards for Renters When He Was a Broker.

Had Giardina kept his job with MySpace NYC, he may have had a harder time finding people to rent through him.

His renter's profile on Naked Apartments is starting to flood with people calling him a "racist pos" with links to the video in the review.

"How many times calling people "n****r" or "sp*c* or "dirty black person" is acceptable? If you say less than 15, find another realtor," one review stated.

However, there are a plethora of good reviews among the bad, claiming that Giardina would leave a bottle of tequila for new renters after signing the lease, as well as sending birthday cards to his renters.

"We have rented an apartment from Chris 3 years in a row and love how hard he works for us and keeps putting us in the best apartments! The bottle of tequila waiting at our new apartment is always a good touch along with the birthday cards every year! If you want a broker to spend time in your search, make things easier and to become a friend, work with him.

Thanks Chris!".

There are other reviews claiming that Giardina was a great broker, taking the time to really help renters find the right place, always readily available to answer any and all questions, and was considered an all-around excellent broker.

Giardina was Escorted Out of House of Yes Due to His Aggressive Behavior Toward Another Security Guard Inside the Building.

Jacqui Rabkin, a marketing director at House of Yes, told Gothamist, "We are deeply appreciative of the way [the bouncer] kept his composure while the aggressive patron was hurling racial slurs at him, and we feel he acted fully within his rights throughout the interaction.

"We feel we made the right move escorting this patron out of our venue when he became aggressive and engaged in name-calling towards a different security guard indoors, and that decision was validated when we saw how his behavior escalated outdoors," she added.

The video ends shortly after police arrive on the scene.

According to Rabkin, the cops asked the bouncer if he wanted to press charges, and "he replied that his only desire was for everyone to get home safely and he did not want to waste the emergency unit's valuable time.".

French fried truffle shuffle

With black truffles selling for as high as $95 per ounce, there could be no more over-the-top

ingredient for a burger place that charges customers an average of $5 per meal.

But, in 2015, McDonald's Singapore stepped it up when they introduced their own brand

of truffle fries, with a truffle seasoning that comes in a little packet on the side.

But before you go rushing for your private jet, think about this: the buzzy truffle boom

has led to all sorts of imitation flavorings, most of which don't hold a candle to the real

thing.

McNoodles for days

In 2012, McDonald's jumped on the European noodle-box craze and rolled out McNoodles

in Austria.

The restaurant tops their noodle bowl with chicken, vegetables and sweet-and-sour sauce

or curry.

But if you're hoping for noodles with a sweet, Italian-style flair, pick up some drive-thru

McSpaghetti in the Philippines Totally on-point with fans, according to Sora News 24, this

pasta is "sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet", like the locals dig it.

Veggie paradise

In 2012, McDonald's appealed to the world's 375 million vegetarians by opening an all-veggie

restaurant in northern India.

On the menu is the McCurry Pan, a bread bowl filled with curried vegetables.

Since Hindus shun beef and Muslims skip pork, meat-free dishes like this meet everyone's

approval.

There's also the McSpicy Paneer, a meatless burger made with a breaded soft cheese.

Mashed potato burger

It might sound weird to sandwich mashed potatoes into a burger.

More baffling, however, is that this down-home creation launched as part of McDonald's China's

so-called "Manly Man" campaign, aimed at dudes that consider themselves, quote, "young urban

meat lovers."

If you're wondering what it is about adding mashed potatoes to an otherwise standard bacon

burger that screams "meat lover," or why they're targeting city-dwelling dudes with mashed

taters, it might be time to book a trip to China and find out for yourself.

A salty porridge

A riff on the Indonesian favorite, the Bubur Ayam McD is fast comfort food — it's got

porridge, chicken and veg, but it also contains almost half of your daily recommended sodium

intake.

The website claims this dish tastes "Just like mum's cooking!"

— That is, if your mum home-cooked you a bowl of salt with a sprinkle of vegetables.

Poutine, eh?

A french-fried export from Canada, poutine is a savory pile of fries covered in cheese

curds, topped with gravy.

And the dish finally appeared at McDonald's Canada back in 2013.

While all the traditional ingredients remain, we take exception to McDonald's use of their

regular fries, which are too thin to be authentic to the dish.

But as far as regional McVariants go, things here could have been far worse.

And we're not gonna be mad at those cheese curds.

A classic, reinvented

The Greek Mac is exactly what it sounds like: a Big Mac gone Adriatic.

Two beef patties, topped with yogurt sauce, onions, tomatoes and lettuce are folded into

a pita . It's a tried and true McFavorite, with a regional twist for the locals.

But we can't help but wonder if a Greek Mac should maybe be made of lamb, or goat, or

something a little more Greek.

But, we get it, it's McDonald's.

We'll consider it the low-key Mediterranean version of our beefy friend from the States.

Nonetheless, Donald Trump says it's back on, he wants to meet with Kim Jong Un, he's super

excited about it, he gave him a nice letter, and then he admitted eight minutes later he

never read the letter.

Maybe he's read it at this point, maybe he hasn't, but again, totally beside the point.

What happened when Donald Trump received that letter was exactly what Kim Jong Un wanted

to happen.

North Korea absolutely trolled Donald Trump spectacularly by handing him this giant oversized

letter and mocking his tiny hands.

Or at least, playing off the theme that Trump has tiny hands that we heard throughout the

campaign.

That's what this was all about, and Donald Trump wants to go out there and praise this

man for keeping the appointment, wanting to go to the meeting, wanting to make concessions

that the CIA already said he's not gonna make.

Trump is playing right into North Korea's hand.

And he doesn't even realize that they're mocking him in front of the entire world.

Trump is the kind of guy who any time he senses the slightest little bit of attack from somebody,

he immediately goes on the counter attack and will not relent ever, really.

But in a much more nuanced attack, Donald Trump isn't even smart enough to realize that

they're playing him.

And it's not just with the big giant letter, they have been playing him from the start.

That is why no other US presidents would meet with the leaders from North Korea, because

they didn't wanna legitimize them.

They knew that they were fraudulent, they knew that they were brutal dictators, and

they were not gonna take the time out of their lives to put them on the same stage as equals

with the President of the United States.

Donald Trump doesn't get it, and that's why he wants this meeting to happen.

To be honest, he probably admires Kim Jong Un a little bit.

We've seen recently with Donald Trump's increasingly, shall we say, potentially illegal expansion

of presidential powers, that he wants more than what the office of the presidency has

to offer.

He wants what North Korea has for himself.

And Kim Jong Un knows that, most of the American public understands that at this point.

The only question is how much damage is this man gonna do to the office of the presidency

by sitting down with this dictator who has destroyed the lives of countless people in

his own country, just because he wants expanded power?

That's what Trump is trying to do here.

So yeah, it would make sense for these two to meet, but it's not gonna bring North Korea

up to everybody else's level, it's gonna take the US down to theirs.

Speaking of storylines that not many people liked, and David Arquette winning the WCW

Championship in 2000 is thought to be one of the worst decisions made by a major wrestling

promotion ever.

While there are those who have defended it - mostly Vince Russo - fans frequently mock

the angle where Mr. Arquette won the title - which was done simply to promote the movie

Ready 2 Rumble.

But that was 18 years ago, surely we've all moved on from that.

Well apparently not, as Arquette revealed on the Wendy Williams Show that he's been

trolled on the Internet for nearly two decades about his wrestling career - and, like me,

he's also making a triumphant return.

"I'd like to announce my return to professional wrestling."

Hilariously, Wendy Williams didn't even know that Arquette had been a wrestler - which

shows just how successful that angle was [1-screen] - and Office Dewey told her, "For 18 years,

I've been trolled on the internet and people have attacked me.

I just want to bring some respect back to my name.

They're the worst.

They sort of blame me for ruining WCW which is no longer around, so maybe I did have something

to do with it".

Pro Wrestling Sheet are reporting that Arquette is currently in a marathon training session

which will be part of a documentary about his return to the squared circle.

But where will Arquette wrestle?

WWE?

Impact Wrestling?

Ring of Honor?

New Japan?

Headline: All In 2 Location Confirmed?!

The big talk of the wrestling world over the last few weeks - even while I was trapped

in a cupboard - was the success of Bullet Club's All In show - which sold out it's

10,000 seats in Chicago in less than half an hour.

With that success, All In 2 seems like a given at this point, and there has been a lot of

conversation about where Cody and The Young Bucks might hold this hypothetical event.

Well, at a Ring of Honor show from New York's Hammerstein Ballroom, Cody revealed that not

only was All In 2 happening, he even announced it's location.

Big thanks to Graham Matthews for capturing this video where Cody said: "This morning

we decided the location of All In 2...

Can you guess where it is?...

That's right, All In 2 is in New York City!"

This is a massive announcement, as New York is a huge market for pro wrestling with a

very rabid crowd that will…

We would never hold All In 2 in this crap city."

But that's not the only bit of All In news - although that wasn't really news - as

the official Twitter account last night revealed who will be officiating the event in September.

The show's referees will be PWG's Rick Knox, ROH's Paul Turner and Todd Sinclair,

Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer Earl Hebner and wrestling legend Jerry Lynn.

Man, can't believe they passed over Chris Roberts.

Hebner is of course one of the biggest names in pro wrestling officiating - known for his

involvement in the Montreal Screwjob and getting a PPV victory over WCW's Nick Patrick at

WWF's InVasion.

Jerry Lynn is best known for his work in ECW and around the world, who had his final wrestling

match in 2013.

I'm surprised to see that New Japan's Red Shoes isn't in the line up, but perhaps

they're saving him for a big tease announcement.

And speaking of long-term teases - bear with me folks I've been away for a while - and

NXT faction SAnitY have been on the "coming soon" list for Smackdown Live since the

Superstar Shake-Up the week after WrestleMania - but still haven't debuted.

For those keeping score, that's now seven weeks.

Not quite Emmalina numbers but we're getting there.

SAnitY haven't even been featured on WWE house show or live events either, that was

until a show in Waco, Texas over the weekend - where the group finally made their debut

on the main roster for Smackdown taking on the Good Brothers Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

This footage was captured by WrestleForver - don't throw too much at them for filming

it in portrait - and WWE's Spanish Twitter account posted these images of the debut.

Could we see SAnitY finally debut on TV soon?

Bernie Sanders Demands Wage Hikes, Gets Smacked By His Own Stupidity

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) spoke in California in a bid for radical wage hikes.

He claimed that he cared about the everyman and working class.

Yet viewers were quick to expose his own stupidity on the subject.

Perhaps he's not a friend to the working man as he claims.

Bernie Sanders is a communist.

That's no big secret.

He likes to call himself a "democratic socialist."

That's nice.

You can dress up your label all you want, Bernie, you still want to turn free America

into a dictatorship.

Bernie represents the very worst in liberal politics: big government, massive spending,

and a dead economy.

He only gained steam during the Presidential primaries because he promised free tuition

to college students.

Big surprise those lazy, entitled children suddenly "felt the Bern."

They wouldn't feel the same when they entered the job market and realized over half of their

paychecks would have been taken in taxes.

Guess Bernie forgot to mention that in his rallies.

Despite his massive loss, he still bothers Americans with his toxic, Soviet plans.

He wants to punish wealthy, hard-working Americans with high taxes and regulation.

Business owners will suffer the most, as Bernie's leftist policies make it impossible to turn

a profit.

All those workers he promises to help?

They're not going to be doing so well after they are let go.

That hasn't stopped this "democratic socialist" from traveling all the way to California to

champion massive minimum wage hikes.

Funny how he doesn't push for this in his home state.

These radical policies where the government saddles business with ridiculous demands only

seem to take off in the West Coast.

I guess all the white, super elite, rich folks of Vermont reject them.

Bernie pushed for more government-forced wage hikes at a rally at Disneyland.

He demanded the stage require companies to pay much more to their unskilled, entry-level

workers.

But observers were quick to note Bernie's hypocrisy on the matter.

His wage increase would result in the loss of thousands of jobs.

And recent comments he made all but celebrated the loss of work for numerous working-class

folks.

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., rallied California's Disneyland Resort workers in Anaheim on Saturday

in support of a state wage-increase measure that some say would cost the state "thousands"

of jobs.

In the same speech, Sanders also praised Disney CEO Bob Iger for canceling ABC's "Roseanne"

after its star's recent Twitter meltdown — even though the sitcom's shutdown reportedly

threw hundreds of crew members out of work.

"While touting himself as a friend of the working man, Bernie has come all this way

to support a measure that will result in thousands of lost jobs for the people of Anaheim,"

Todd Ament, CEO of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, said in a written statement.

Government-forced minimum wage hikes are one of the most obvious voter scams I've ever

seen.

Democrats push it, knowing low-income people will be on board.

Perhaps it will get these con artists more votes during an election.

But they never tell these voters that wage hikes result in lost jobs.

Companies can only pay so much to their employees.

They have to turn a profit to stay in business.

But even a minor increase in wages — when they can't afford it — will force a company

to make serious changes.

Many small businesses can't raise their prices — customers will go somewhere else.

So they have two options: go out of business or lay people off.

Bernie Sanders gets away with pushing this idiotic notion, by attacking big companies

like Disney.

"Obviously Disney has plenty of money to spread around," people like him say.

"Shouldn't they contribute more to the working man?"

Democrats like Bernie hate wealthy business owners.

He doesn't think they deserve their hard-earned success.

In his warped mind, they should pay to support the poor and working class of this country.

That include massive taxes and forced wage increases.

Bernie never mentions how those policies hurt small businesses and ultimately workers.

"Uncle Bernie" also recently praised socialist ABC for canceling Roseanne over a tweet.

Apparently, this senator forgot all the people ABC was firing — including union workers

and laborers.

Oops.

You see, people like Bernie hate the capitalistic roots of our country.

They don't want you to work hard to earn a good living.

Bernie doesn't think you deserve private wealth and success.

He, like all socialists, wants everyone equally poor.

Except for himself, of course.

Compare that to President Donald Trump.

His historic tax cut bill has resulted in increased wages for millions of Americans.

He didn't force companies to do it.

Trump simply slashed taxes, giving companies more money.

Naturally, they used it to reward their staff.

What a surprise!

Companies aren't the greedy, evil institutions Bernie says they are.

Perhaps he'll learn something.

Probably not.

48-year-old Melania Trump's dearest friends might be worried after what they're finding

out about her.

Melania had surgery on her kidney, stayed in the hospital for a while, and then returned

home.

However, that was the last time anyone outside of the White House has seen her.

Some of her friends outside of the White House may be wondering why she hasn't been seen

for at least three weeks.

It's like she's a ghost and no one knows what she's up to.

Some people are worried about her, but she's probably just recovering and working on projects

that the First Lady is responsible for.

She doesn't owe the public anything, nor does she have to visit with the mainstream

media or paparazzi.

She is allowed to avoid them if she wishes.

Her friends might be worrying because it's not something they're used to.

Hollywood Reporter shared this: "Melania Trump, 48, has caused a lot of

speculation after suddenly having kidney surgery and not being seen since and even her friends

are starting to worry.

Although the First Lady seemingly took to Twitter to reveal that she was resting at

the White House, many people are concerned that there's more to the story than is being

told.

"Melania's friends outside of the White house are genuinely starting to worry about

her," a source close to Melania EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.

"Nobody has heard from Melania over these past few weeks, and her cell phone has been

switched off.

Whenever any friends enquire as to where she is, or how she is, we're just told that

she's 'fine' and that she's 'recovering' but that really doesn't make any sense.

Nobody believes that Melania wrote that last tweet, everybody thinks that was written by

Donald [Trump], because it didn't read in the way that Melania writes.To have radio

silence for this long is just strange, something is going on, but nobody knows what, it's

definitely concerning."

Melania's friend's sentiments are similar to that of her followers.

Without warning, it was announced that she was undergoing kidney surgery on May 14 and

since even before the surgery (May 10), she hasn't made any appearances either alone

or with the Donald.

Although she could very well be recovering from the surgery, many find it odd that there's

no indication from anyone that she's at the White House like the tweet claimed and

of course, there's been a ton of theories to go along with the situation, including

one that claims she may have moved out of Washington D.C."

Meanwhile, Mirror wrote this: "It has now been 23 days since Melania Trump

has been seen in public and people are getting concerned.

The White House announced last night that the First Lady would not be joining the President

at his Camp David retreat this weekend.

On May 14th Mrs Trump had surgery for a "benign kidney condition" and hasn't been seen

in the three weeks since.

While the White House announced the operation was successful, and there were no complications,

the procedure typically requires only a single night's recovery in hospital.

And it gets weirder.

The Friday after that, Donald Trump was asked about Melania's wellbeing as he prepared

to board Marine One on the White House lawn.

The President pointed to a window in the White House residence, saying: "She's doing

great.

She's looking at us right there."

But when reporters turned to look, she was not there.

There was no sign of her.

And then there's THAT tweet.

The First Lady – or at least someone with access to her Twitter account – posted a

message on Friday.

It read: "I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing.

Rest assured, I'm here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard

on behalf of children & the American People."

While it's entirely possible that the message is genuine and she's really just working

too hard to appear in public, there's one thing that sticks out as being really unusual.

The phrase "working overtime."

It's the first time the First Lady has ever used that phrase, in her tweets at least."

I suppose that's our answer.

Melania is recovering and working.

If Donald Trump says Melania is fine, then she's probably fine.

Trump loves the press and free media coverage, so if there was something going on with Melania,

then he'd probably say it and watch the public turn it into something controversial.

so what's it like buying fabric for an entire year I'm checking in and I've got

an update for you welcome to the Sewing Report I'm Jennifer Moore helping you

discover your love of sewing crafts and DIY projects at the beginning of this

year I announced that I was going to go an entire year without buying any fabric

a total fabric band fabric blackout I don't know what you want to call it so

it's about six months later and I thought I would do an update video a

follow-up to let you know how it's going what kind of thoughts I've had since

I've not been buying fabric don't am i experiencing withdrawal am I about to go

crazy so I haven't been buying fabric for the last six months my stash the

reason I did it was because I felt like my stash was totally out of control

I just kept accumulating more fabric and there was more than I could possibly use

over a course of several years so at that point I decided you know maybe

enough is enough as you know in 2017 I stopped buying

clothing and I still haven't bought any clothing since then for myself and that

project has been going pretty well that that whole challenge so adding another

layer on top of it I thought might be a little a little frustrating or I might

run into more roadblocks and I've got to say it's been a lot easier than I

thought it would be before I started the ban I did kind of think about all the

projects I might want to do throughout the year and I spend about $100 from

fabric wholesale direct and I haven't really used any of that stuff either so

I think that just goes to show sometimes you think you need something or you

won't you think you won't be able to go without something and you really can in

fact I did a pretty large D stash a few months ago on my Instagram account

sewing reports shop or shops on report I'll I'll throw it up here right now if

you want to follow me in fact I may do another D stash because I'm just coming

to find out that I really have more fabric than I

need at the moment and if we move again which looks like it might be a

possibility in the future move out of this apartment then I definitely don't

want to be lugging around all that fabric again I think that's what kind of

brought me to the breaking point as well so I was like wow you know I keep all my

fabric a lot of it in plastic totes it's if they're very heavy it's a lot to

manage and again I don't know what kind of place we're gonna be moving into

after this so if it's smaller that's definitely gonna be a problem so I'm

deaf I'm certainly trying to use up my stash this year and I'm probably gonna

do another D stash to try to purge fabric that I clearly haven't used and

I'm gonna try to basically purge it I guess I guess that's what I'm saying

not that I'm going like full-fledged minimalist we're not going all tiny

house or anything but I guess I just realized I don't want to be the kind of

person that has shut those like huge ass bookshelves filled with fabric I really

don't want that meet me I've got like kind of a small cabinet right over there

that has some fabric in it and some other notions and I think another thing

that's come out of this whole thing is that I've I don't know what it is but

I'm also gravitating towards other interests like the dollhouse addiction

that's becoming a little bit for problem and I'm also developing an interest in

knitting in crochet and again I think that's another thing that you need to

think about with these hobbies the more you accumulate materials for it supplies

what if your interests change for instance I had a huge stash of quilting

cotton and then I started making garments and quilting cotton is not the

best substrate for a lot of the items I want to make so then of course I had to

start accumulating garment with quality fabrics stuff that I you know knit

fabrics things that were a little more like wash and wear that didn't wrinkle

as easy so again then you just start

accumulating more and more and overtime again your interest could

change you might not be as hot about quilting as you used to be I could you

know totally fall out of the dollhouse thing I have no idea so I'm really

trying my best to try to at least if I'm switching interests trying to offload

some of my other materials that I might not be using the longer it sits to like

not like fabric goes bad but it probably will go out of style and over time maybe

the quality could degrade or it could get discolored I don't know have I been

tempted to buy fabric yes I have every time I get those emails announcing sales

there is one collection in particular that I was that caused me a little bit

of agony it was the cloud9 fabrics the they have this collection called glimmer

and if they're just gorgeous fabrics and they're metallic they've got metallic

threads woven in and I will link it below because it's a gorgeous gorgeous

fabrics and if I could buy one fabric this year it would definitely be that

line I just I just really fell in love with those metallic fabrics and I was

like ah so that's probably the one weak moment I had where I was like oh I

really want that I do want to also do some videos this year with repurposing

fabric from other places um I still haven't done my Goodwill

shopping yet but here's the thing though I just it's not like I need any more

materials to work with I already have tons of fabric tons of supplies so I

really don't need to really go out and buy new stuff or find new stuff so come

on oh but this whole thing has really been an interesting experience and if

you haven't done it or and you you're in a place where you feel like you have too

much stuff this could be really good for you and help kind of change your mind

frame and chill out on some of your you know again I'm also not spending money

on fabrics that's been kind of cool too I think the downside though it I do feel

a little bit bad because I'm not supporting fabric

and fabric manufacturers that's probably the thing that kind of bums me out but

there's so much fabric out there and sometimes it's really hard for you to

pare down what you're going to do what you're gonna buy because you you can't

buy at all none of us can buy every piece of fabric that's ever been created

probably not possible overall it really hasn't been as tough

as I thought it would be I know that sounds crazy but that is the truth and I

think I can I very easily feel like I can go the

rest of the year without buying any fabric so I just wanted to kind of do an

update and let you know how I was doing which is which is pretty good and I hope

Just five months out from November's midterm elections, voters in competitive battleground

districts don't have a clear idea of who leads the Democratic Party, a new poll reveals.

When voters in those key districts were asked who the party's leader is, the most popular

answer was, "There isn't one," according to a CBS/YouGov poll released on Sunday.

Forty-five percent of midterm voters say Democrats are leaderless, the poll found.

Voters who said the Democratic Party does have a leader, couldn't agree on who that

leader is.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer received with 16 percent of the vote; House Minority

Leader Nancy Pelosi received 15 percent; and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, a socialist independent

who ran for president as a Democrat in 2016, received 13 percent.

Seven percent named former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the twice-failed presidential

candidate, as the leader of the party, while another four percent listed someone else.

The midterm battle for control of the House of Representatives is currently a toss-up,

the poll found.

The poll was conducted over May 24 – 30 and has a margin of error of plus or minus

1.6 percent.

That's one of the league's old catchphrases from the 1980s, and it still rings true today.

In addition to being fantastic to watch, action in the NBA can also get pretty strange, especially

once the players leave the court, the crowds go home, and the lights in the arenas are

switched off.

Here's a rundown of the league's most peculiar players, along with a few retro ballers who

helped set the bar when it comes to NBA eccentricity.

Whether they're playing now or have since retired, these basketball stars can be really

weird people off the court.

Offhand remarks

Russell Westbrook has spent his career playing point guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder,

and he's also demonstrated some truly peculiar habits.

That's one of the reasons the New York Times' Sam Anderson described him as a "misunderstood

genius" in a 2017 profile.

Anderson noticed that Westbrook writes with his left hand, but shoots hoops with his right.

Ambidexterity isn't all that odd, but Westbrook became angry when Anderson noticed this while

he was signing a stack of documents, telling him,

"Don't put that in your article."

When Anderson jokingly tried to strike a bargain with him, the point guard said "You don't

get to bargain with me", and then cursed at him.

According to Anderson, "He added a curse word with so much venom it made me laugh out loud."

"Are you upset with something?"

"I just don't like you."

Give Peace a chance

The memorably-named former NBA star Metta World Peace was anything but peaceful during

much of his NBA career.

After a 2003 loss to the Knicks, the player, formerly known as Ron Artest destroyed a $100,000

TV camera and a monitor in Madison Square Garden.

The camera's lens alone reportedly cost $60,000.

Years prior, the small forward also decided to get a job at Circuit City during his rookie

year in the league.

It's not like he was hard up for cash, coming off a season that netted him a $1 million

salary.

According to him,

"I was bored.

I was partying a little bit too much.

I was trying to find ways to stay grounded.

[...] So one of the things I did was apply for a job at Circuit City."

Also,

"Because he wanted to be able to get the employee discount."

World Peace didn't exactly work his way up to management at the company, though.

In fact, he only worked a single shift.

Redick

J.J.

Redick likes to stay organized.

Really, really organized.

The shooting guard meticulously plans his naps, his sock selection, and his meals.

His rigid pre-game routine includes eating roasted chicken, a baked potato, asparagus

or broccoli, and washing it all down with a cup of coffee.

While being profiled for the New York Times in 2018, Redick discussed one disastrous occasion

when his dinner arrived 20 minutes late.

According to Redick,

"It completely threw me off."

The team lost that night by 24 points, and he missed ten of his 11 shots.

Redick has said he follows the same pre-game warm-up routine down to the minute, finishing

off with a specific type of granola bar he's been eating for years.

But his OCD doesn't just apply to the court - it plays into his whole life.

At home, for instance, his closet must stay organized with, quote, "military-grade precision."

"If you go in my closet right now, like everything is lined up by type of shirt, type of shoe,

color, brand.

Shoes are the same way."

Redick seems to derive little joy from all that extra effort.

As he told the Times, "It's exhausting."

The world according to Dennis Rodman

No list of weird NBA players would be complete without the man who inexplicably became the

United States' number one liaison to North Korea.

Before he started hanging around with Kim Jong-Un and practicing "basketball diplomacy",

Rodman was widely considered one of the most eccentric guys to ever play professional basketball.

"I'm all of both worlds here."

During the 1996 off-season, the former power forward announced he was getting married to

an unnamed person.

When his wedding day finally arrived, Rodman rode around New York City dressed in a bridal

gown, announcing that he had decided to marry himself before attending a book signing for

his first autobiography, Bad as I Wanna Be.

Rodman's other antics included dating the equally eccentric Madonna, dyeing his hair

every color of the rainbow, kicking a cameraman in the crotch, and wrestling alongside Hulk

Hogan in the WWE.

He's also spent part of his retirement years working as the commissioner for the Lingerie

Football League.

On top of all this, Rodman has his trips to North Korea, where he got so close to the

nation's secretive ruler that he was able to call Kim Jong-un "a friend for life."

The sound of Chocolate Thunder

Once upon a time, Darryl Dawkins made smashing backboards with super awesome dunks a fairly

regular habit.

It was one of the things that helped him earn the nickname "Chocolate Thunder."

"I was the greatest dunker of all time!"

Dawkins' monster jams helped push the league to replace their fragile hoops with ones that

had breakaway rims and shatter-resistant backboards.

Dawkins' exuberant personality and weird behavior made him hugely popular in the 1970s.

He gave his dunks names like "The Look Out Below", "The Yo-Mama,"

"Or the Chocolate Thunder flyin' glass flyin' babies cryin' glass still flyin' rump roast

bundt toast and thank you ma'am jam."

...and his favorite: "The Get-Out-of-the-Waying, Backboard-Swaying, Game-Delaying, If-You-Ain't-Grooving-You-Best-Get-Moving

Dunk."

"Well, it's uncalled for, you know?

It didn't have to happen, but that's Darryl Dawkins."

Dawkins passed away in 2015, but before he left, the baller routinely claimed he was

actually a space alien from "The Planet Lovetron," here on Earth to spread the gospel of what

he called "interplanetary funkmanship."

"I was all of that, and a bag of chips.

They just wasn't ready for me."

Mexico answers Trump tariffs with - Duration: 13:28.

Mexico answers Trump tariffs with new duties on US products

The government of Mexico announced on Thursday it would implement new duties on various U.S.

products in response to President Trump's decision to levy steel and aluminum tariffs

on the country.

"Mexico reiterates its position against protectionist measures that affect and distort

international commerce in goods," the government said in a statement.

"In response to the tariffs imposed by the United States, Mexico will impose equivalent

measures to various products like flat steels (hot and cold foil, including coated and various

tubes), lamps, legs and shoulders of pork, sausages and food preparations, apples, grapes,

blueberries, various cheeses, among others, up to an amount comparable to the level of

affectation."

The announcement comes after U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Rosssaid the administration

had decided to end temporary exemptions on tariffs for Mexico, the European Union and

Canada.

"We look forward to continued negotiations with Canada and Mexico on one hand and with

the European Commission on the other hand, as there are other issues we need to get resolved,"

Ross said during a conference call, adding that the White House would have to see how

its allies responded to the new tariffs before deciding what to do next.

Trump first imposed tariffs of 25 percent on steel and 10 percent on aluminum in March,

but announced his administration would grant several countries, as well as the EU, a temporary

exemption.

Mexico, one of the top exporters of steel to the U.S., said in its Thursday statement

that the tariffs "are neither adequate nor justified."

The country is currently participating in negotiations with the U.S. to reform the North

American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Trump had previously threatened to scrap a new NAFTA agreement if Mexico didn't do

more to enforce security at its northern border to prevent migrants from entering the U.S.

The Mexican government issued a response saying it was "unacceptable" to use immigration

as a precondition for trade.

The EU on Thursday also said it would retaliate against the Trump administration's move.

The bloc's top trade official, Cecilia Malmström, said, "Today is a bad day for world trade."

Mexico said its countermeasures would remain in place until the U.S. removes the tariffs.

"Mexico reiterates its openness to constructive dialogue with the United States, its support

for the international system of commerce, and its rejection to unilateral protectionist

measures," the country said in its statement.
