Hi guys! I know I'm back again so soon, but I just can't help it. I mean...you guys sent me a lot of questions and
I just got home and I was in the mood to film a video, so...
Sabi ko (I said to myself), before I let this moment pass, this rare moment of, like, purpose...
of productivity
of intention... I was gonna take the opportunity and just film a video. You guys sent me a lot of questions on Curious Cat.
I set up a Curious Cat account and now I'm gonna answer your questions.
Let's just start, because you know how long I get with these intros, so...
Wow, right off the bat, we're gonna go into the love questions. I guess you just really have to listen to your heart, 'cause...
Mulan says, "Follow your heart."
or is that a different Disney princess? I think the most important thing about
deciding if you should pursue someone or stop pursuing someone is first think about
if your values and his or her values align with each other. If not then...
Why are you even still trying? Why will you fit two pieces of a puzzle that
don't fit? I'm not sure that's the best metaphor, but do you know what I mean?
If you guys just don't... *makes weird hand gesture as if to say "fit"*
You don't mesh well, your attitudes, your lives...why keep trying? But you know, if both parties want...
something to work, it's gonna work. So follow your heart, check your values, check your lives...
and drink a lot of water (lol).
The only ACET tips I can give you probably is to
study well? I mean...wow Nikki that's such genius advice *sarcasm*. I know, but my point is...
study smart. Don't study like 24 hours a day for seven days a week.
Because that's just gonna fry up your brain and you won't have any more energy left
to answer the ACET. So study smart, study well, meaning... have a schedule, have a strategy.
For today, I'll study english and for this day I'll study math. Or for this number of hours
I'll study this certain subject. You know it's just like being in school. Just don't cram everything in your head.
Study months earlier than the ACET.
Or whatever else...whatever other college entrance exam you're taking, because...
The one thing that's gonna make you the most nervous is the fact that, like, you know you didn't prepare.
But, for me, the thing that made me the most calm is
because I knew that I prepared. I studied, I prayed for it, I meditated.
Etcetera. I knew I prepared so just the fact that I prepared made me feel calm and ready to take the ACET, so...
Every person has different study techniques, so that's just my personal... uh my person--
Has that been out the whole video? It bothers me so much when these things are out, it's like...
anyways
Why didn't you tell me that that was out?
Study smart, have a study schedule, prepare months in advance...
Prepare your soul for it, prepare your being for it. Not just your mind and your brains
prepare your heart your soul
Just, everything so that you're calm and you know that you prepared... nothing can stop you brah
I'm gonna choose
probably
Phoebe. Wow I'm kind of surprised by my answer. I would have thought I would...
I would choose someone like Rachel or Monica. But I think it's Phoebe, because Phoebe's such a wonderful...
person. Like her aura is just light and
She's not into the negative stuff. I don't mean that as if Phoebe's character avoids all negativity.
But you know if you watch Friends, you know that she's very light-hearted
and funny and she's unique she's quirky and she's weird. She doesn't let anyone's judgment
affect her personality
or her life that much that. She knows she's weird. I mean, come on, she wrote the song "Smelly Cat".
She writes other different weird songs and that doesn't really stop her from being her. And I guess I want to be
more like her in a way that's for me. Meaning, I want to be more myself
without
holding back.
So that's the answer.
I think we can all agree that that's a touchy subject for now if you watch my
recent video so i'm gonna skip that for my own well-being
So here's my grad pic
Yeah, I think I like my grad pic and I don't know if I ever posted it on Twitter or Instagram. I don't think so.
I think only facebook. And I don't really share my Facebook publicly.
If you want, you know, a copy and with a dedication. you know an attorney if i say oh?
Okay. This is a very interesting story in my opinion, because Renzo and I met in
2014 and we are both freshmen in college at the time. We just met in passing because my blockmate
is cousins with Renzo. And Renzo studies in a different college.
So we just met in passing. Like, I didn't even take a second glance at him.
I just knew that he was my blockmate's cousin. That's all I knew, and...
I didn't really have a reason to talk to him after that, after that short meeting, because, again, we were studying in different universities and...
we didn't really have a lot of common friends aside from that one blockmate.
After that, we didn't speak or whatever for two years and then we met again in that same blockmate's party.
And then we started talking...and talking... and now we're dating.
That's it. If you want a detailed story maybe that's for another time. Maybe. I don't know. Maybe.
It's weird that I'm calling the person "blockmate", because he's actually a very good friend of mine. His name's Anthony.
You've seen him in some of my videos.
I was watching Michelle Phan
And HappySlip. I don't know if you guys know HappySlip, but she's a Filipino YouTuber. One of the earliest YouTubers.
And I think her name is Christine. Michelle Phan and HappySlip.
kevjumba. nigahiga.
Those are the people I used to watch all the time. As in all the time. I would imitate their videos and make
my own videos out of my cameraphone and then...
I'd make a lot of silly videos. I have so many cringe-y videos I haven't even shown the world yet.
So many cringe-y videos.
And now I'm doing it.
That's not answering your question, but I wanted to say that because I only started YouTube when I was studying in college and...
the question is how was I able to balance my studies and YouTube. I'm not really the kind of YouTuber
well, not yet anyways... I don't have a strict schedule. I'm not like, "Okay I have to upload MWF."
Like, I never did that.
I never really had to choose between studies or vlogging, because I knew that studies, my studies, were always the priority
at the time I was studying, so I didn't really allow myself
to be stressed over it like, "Oh my gosh what am I gonna upload on YouTube?"
I never allowed myself stress over that because, again, I had so much to think about already with my school, my schooling.
Maybe now I should be more disciplined in uploading. But again I talked about in my previous video that...
You know that I'm going through some personal stuff that I talked about in that previous video. So yeah that's kind of how I
"balanced" it. Like there was no
strict or pressuring
schedule that I had to follow. I just decided that my priority was school at the time.
You know what? You never really know if you're an adult, it just happens
You grow up. I don't know. I mean I know I'm an adult by age, I'm turning 22 this year.
But I just... I... *frustrated*
I don't know. When do you really become an adult? Is it when you buy your first place?
Or is it when you have your first job? Is it when you graduate college?
I don't know. But I guess my first tip for growing up it's just...
Idk. Oh my God.
Wow that's such a life question. "Adulting tips"? I never knew that...
...those two words can put so much pressure on my brain.
My main advice is not to burn yourself out and by that I mean learn how to pace yourself.
Don't pressure yourself always by comparing yourself to other girls or other boys or other people in general.
because they're not you and you're not them.
They're never gonna be you and you're never gonna be them
So why put the pressure on yourself, to always compare yourself to how another person's life is going
Especially you know with the culture of... the culture of Instagram. When you scroll through IG...
Everyone's posting photos of their lives. And it looks like this person's life is so perfect.
He or she is always traveling, s/he is in my dream school. He or she is driving and...
You're always going to compare yourself.
The point is...
There's no satisfaction to the dilemma that you're having, because you're never gonna be them. So in the first place just don't do that.
Stick to your own thing. Like do... YOU DO YOU. YOU DO YOU. You do your own life. You do your own goals.
Don't make another person the ruler to which your life should be compared.
So just...
BE YOUR OWN... PERSON.
Do you know what I'm saying? I think that's my main adulting tip.
Like... there's this pressure... "Where is my life going?"
Etcetera. But my advice is just take your time to to reflect on where you want your life to go.
Because you don't wanna rush into things just because other people are doing it. You know what I'm saying? So you do you.
Wow. Another love question.
(sings) I got the right love at the wrong time
something like that?
And I think my answer to this question is if you meet someone at a certain time and it was the "wrong time"...
Then that person wasn't meant for you to begin with, because...
then it will be the right time. There's no such thing, I think, as "right person at the wrong time".
Because if it's meant to be it will be during God's time.
In destiny's time. In the universe's time. Whatever you believe in.
I personally believe that the right person will come in God's time and that's just me.
Some of you might believe in the alignment of the planets...
Or zodiac signs... Astrology (I kinda do too hehe)...
Some of you might not even believe in fate. But for me personally I believe that...
Again *frustrated*! It's out again!
For me personally I believe that... if it's the right person, it's the right time.
Again, let's skip that question, because we all know I'm still thinking about that.
I don't think I have a certain, like, one style icon.
I just wear things that I feel confident in, things that I feel pretty in,
things that I feel happy in...
I don't necessarily follow someone's style
just because they're wearing it? I don't know. I mean I just shop at Cotton On, H&M, Forever 21...
Who can forget Uniqlo?
Yeah. Just basic stuff.
Nowadays, books. Because, again, I mentioned before I've been rereading the Harry Potter series. I just finished book 4 yesterday.
And now I'm on book 5. I cried. I cried in book 4, because...
I don't wanna spoil for anyone who wants to read it.
But if you haven't read HP, I really think you should read it, because I mean that's HP.
It's amazing, the story. The writing is so... it's so fluid.
You don't feel like you're reading. I feel like I'm just in Hogwarts. That's what I feel.
But that doesn't mean I haven't been watching movies. I've been rewatching movies nowadays like...
I watched Easy A the other day... and I kind of watched The Godfather last night, but I fell asleep...
But yeah more on books nowadays.
Next question is not a question.
I'm very glad that it makes you feel calm.
because I also feel calm while...
videoing and editing and posting. So thank you for your kind words.
I got sentimental because I miss going to school... But at the same time...
I guess the best thing about being Atenean is that you never stop being Atenean.
Like what our president said, the Ateneo never ends. You carry Ateneo's mission even after graduating.
And that means being men and women for others.
That means looking at the face of the Other person.
That means accepting other people. That means fighting for the country.
That means fighting for the truth. That means standing up for what you believe in.
So I think that's the best thing about being Atenean. You carry it with you.
I don't think it ends on graduation day. It ends on the day you die. It ends on your last day here on earth. so that's the?
So that's the best thing about being Atenean.
Yes I think I am.
Idk how I'm gonna do that.
--yet. Because my room is messy. I mean it's not like jungle-messy.
I just want my room to be in the best state when I show you guys.
YES
don't judge me
It depends on my mood. Sometimes I want Jollibee. Sometimes I miss McDo's fries and gravy and chicken.
It depends on my mood.
Thank you!
My course was Bachelor of Arts in Communication. One of the best courses ever!
But, again, depends on what you want in life. The best course will be the course you want.
And the course I wanted was AB Com and I was lucky enough to actually be in my course.
Wow. All this college talk is making me so sentimental.
I think for now that's all I'm gonna answer. There's still so many questions here.
Don't you worry, I will still answer them maybe in my next Q&A.
Please don't hesitate to ask more questions on my Curious Cat, so I can decide if I should make a whole video again, part 2 of Q&A.
Yeah, that's it. Wow. Thank you for watching this video and for listening to all these questions.
I know these questions are all about me and I don't want to be so self-centered, but I appreciate that you guys
wanted to know more about me. Yeah, I just wanted to let you in my life and...
get to know me better.
Please don't hesitate to message me on Instagram or Twitter or even in the comments below, because I just...
I just like talking to you guys.
Saying 'hi', 'hello', 'ola', 'nĭ hăo'...
*thinks of other ways to say hello*
hi.
Yeah, I'll see you guys again in my next video. Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe, and all that good stuff.
And remember: STAY MONUMENTAL! 😘
Bye! 💘
