Youtube daily report w Jun 26 2017

AND FOR CON SESH TIFS RAND PAUL, MIKE LEE, RON JOHNSON AND TED

CRUZ. AND SENATOR RON JOHNSON JOINS ME

NOW. HE CALLS HIMSELF A NO ON THE

HEALTH CARE BILL. WELCOME BACK TO MEET THE PRESS,

SIR. >> GOOD MORNING.

NOT A YES YET. >> FAIR ENOUGH.

LET ME START WITH PROCESS BEFORE WE GET TO THE SUBSTANCE.

YOU YOURSELF SEEM TO LEMENT HOW THIS HAS GONE DOWN.

YOU WERE LEMENTING THE PARTISAN ASPECT OF THIS PROCESS AND YOU

SAID MAYBE THIS IS WHAT HAS TO HAPPEN.

THE DEMOCRATS HAVE THEIR BILL AND REPUBLICANS ARE DOING OURS

AND THEN WE'LL FIX OUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM.

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT YOU'RE ADMITTING OR YOU MAY BE

ADMITTING THAT EVEN IF YOU GUYS PASS THIS BILL IT'S GOING TO BE

DONE ON A PARTISAN BASIS AND AS SOON AS THE DEMOCRATS GET POWER,

THEY'LL DO ANOTHER BILL AND WE HAVE MORE UNCERTAINTY IN THE

HEALTH CARE MARKET. AREN'T WE JUST BANGING OUR HEAD

AGAINST THE WALL HERE? >> CHUCK, MY BACKGROUND IS

REALLY MANUFACTURING. AND I UNDERSTAND WITHOUT A GOOD

PROCESS YOU'RE GOING TO END UP WITH GOOD PRODUCT AND PROCESS IN

TERMS OF PROBLEM SOLVING STARTS WITH INFORMATION BUT THAT'S

FOREIGN TO WASHINGTON D.C. I'M NOT OF THAT WORLD.

WASHINGTON D.V. IS AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE WHERE PEOPLE TALK ABOUT

POLICIES VOID OF FACTS, VOID OF THE TYPE OF INFORMATION THAT

YOUED NEED TO SOLVE A PROBLEM SO THAT'S MY FIRST POINT RIGHT NOW

IS WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION, I DON'T HAVE THE

FEEDBACK FROM CONSTITUENT SYS THAT WILL NOT HAVE HAD ENOUGH

TIME TO REVIEW THE SENATE BILL. WE SHOULD HAVE STARTED THE

PROCESS, REACHING OUT TO THE DEMOCRATS.

POINTING OUT THAT OBAMACARE DIDN'T WORK.

IT DIDN'T DRIVE PREMIUMS UP MORE THAN DOUBLE NATIONALLY.

SOME PLACES THREE TIMES HAS BEEN THE INCREASE IN PREMIUMS.

LET'S ACKNOWLEDGE THAT AND LET'S REPAIR THE DAMAGE DONE BY

OBAMACARE AND TRANSITION SOMETHING THAT WORKS.

>> YOU JUST DESCRIBED WHY THIS PROCESS HASN'T WORKED.

YOU KNOW, FOR INSTANCE, WE HAVE THIS DEBATE ABOUT THESE

INSURANCE COMPANIES. WHY ARE THEY LEAVING THE MARKET?

HERE'S SOMETHING THAT CONGRESS DOESN'T KNOW.

THEY DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T

HOLD A SINGLE HEARING WITH A SINGLE HEAD OF AN INSURANCE

COMPANY IN THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS.

SO HOW DO WE KNOW? >> WE DO BUT NOBODY WANTS TO

REALLY TALK ABOUT IT. WE KNOW WHY THE PREMIUMS

INCREASED. REMEMBER PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON

TALKING ABOUT OBAMACARE AS A CRAZY SEASON.

HE STARTED TALKING ABOUT THE PEOPLE BUSTING IT WORKING 60

HOURS A WEEK AND THEY'RE LEFT WITH PREMIUMS DOUBLED AND

COVERAGE CUT IN HALF. THOSE ARE THE FORGOTTEN MEN AND

WOMEN IN THIS ENTIRE DEBATE BUT WE KNOW WHY THE PREMIUMS

DOUBLED. WE HAVE DONE SOMETHING IN OUR

HEALTH CARE SYSTEM THAT YOU WOULD NEVER THINK ABOUT DOING

WITH AUTO INSURANCE WHERE YOU WOULD REQUIRE THEM TO SELL A

POLICY TO SOMEBODY AFTER THEY CRASH THEIR CAR.

STATES THAT HAVE ENACTED GUARENTEE FOR PRE-EXISTING

CONDITIONS, IT CRASHES THEIR MARKETS.

IT CAUSES THE MARKETS TO COLLAPSE AND PREMIUMS TO

SKYROCKET. THE GOOD NEWS IS YOU CAN ADDRESS

PEOPLE WITH PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS WITHOUT COLLAPSING

MARKETS. IT'S BY DESIGNING HIGH RISK

POOLS. WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO IS ADD TO

THIS INVISIBLE HIGH RISK POOL BUT WE DON'T HAVE THE COURAGE IN

WASHINGTON AND THE HONESTY TO TALK ABOUT THESE THINGS WITH

REAL INFORMATION AND REAL FACTS AND GOU THROUGH THE PROBLEM

SOLVING PROCESS. INFORMATION AND AGREE ON

ACHIEVABLE GOALS AND THEN PASS THE LEGISLATION.

>> ISN'T SOME OF THE PROBLEM HERE THE RHETORIC THAT GETS

USED. I'M GOING TO USE YOU AS AN

EXAMPLE HERE. I WANT TO PLAY THE RHETORIC YOU

USED DURING YOUR RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN.

>> THIS IS OUR SHOT. WE'RE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO

REPEAL OBAMACARE THE NEXT TIME. THIS IS OUR SHOT.

>> YES, YOU BET I WOULD REPEAL NIT A HEART BEAT.

>> AND THEN THIS IS WHAT YOU SAID IN JANUARY.

THIS IS WHAT YOU SAID IN JANUARY ABOUT THAT RHETORIC.

>> IT'S WAY MORE COMPLEX THAN REPEAL AND REPLACE.

THAT'S A BUZZ WORD BUT IT'S NOT ACCURATE.

THE POINT IS DURING THE CAMPAIGN YOU USED THAT LITTLE BUZZ WORD

AND YOUR CONSTITUENTS ARE HEARING THAT BUZZ WORD AND

THEY'RE LOOK AT THIS NOW AND SAYING YOU BEEN PROMISING REPEAL

AND REPLACE ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL FOR 7 YEARS AS A PARTY AND

NOW YOU'RE BEING REALISTIC IN THE JANUARY STATEMENT WHEN THERE

ISN'T AN ELECTION COMING BUT ISN'T THIS PART OF THE PROBLEM

THAT YOU USE ONE SET OF RHETORIC DURING THE ELECTION YEAR AND

THEN WHEN YOU NEED A PRAGMATIC PROCESS, THE CONSTITUENTS DON'T

BUY IT? >> THE PROBLEM IS ON SHOWS LIKE

THIS YOU GET A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND YOU HAVE TO CONDENSE WHAT

YOU WANT TO DO. NO I WOULD REPEAL ALL OF

OBAMACARE AND I WOULD REPLACE IT WITH SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY

WORKS. SKYROCKETING PREMIUMS AND

COLLAPSING MARKETS AND ADDRESSING THE FORGOTTEN MARKET.

YOU SAID YOURSELF SLASHING MEDICAID.

THAT'S WASHINGTON SPEAK. MY DEFINITION OF A CUT IS

SPENDING BEING REDUCED YEAR OVER YEAR.

WE DON'T HAVE THE FINAL FIGURES BUT ANY PROJECTIONS THAT I HAVE

BEEN WORKING WITH REGARDLESS OF THE BILL, I DON'T SEE ANYTHING

OTHER THAN REDUCTION IN THE GROWTH OF SPENDING SO LET'S BE

HONEST ABOUT WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HERE.

WE $20 TRILLION IN DEBT. OVER THE NEXT 20 YEARS ANOTHER

129 TRILLION DOLLARS IN ACCUMULATED DEFICIT.

WE'RE MORTGAGING OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE.

A COMPASSIONATE SOCIETY DOESN'T IMPROVISH FUTURE GENERATIONS FOR

BENEFITS IN THE HERE AND NOW. >> YOUR CONCERNS ARE PROBABLY

NEVER GOING TO BE FULLY ADDRESSED IN THIS BILL.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR YOU, AT SOME POINT YOU HAVE TO DECIDE

WHETHER TO DO THIS OR NOT. IS THE POLITICAL PRESSURE OF

SAYING IF YOU DON'T DO THIS AND YOU'RE ONE OF THE REPUBLICANS

AND YOU HAVE HEARD FROM PRESIDENT TRUMP HE HOPES HIS

GOOD FRIENDS DON'T TANK THIS BILL, HOW MUCH DOES THAT

POLITICAL PRESSURE WEIGH ON YOU EVEN THOUGH YOU LOOK AT THIS

BILL AND YOU SEE A LOT OF FLAWS? >> THE REASON I LEFT THE LIFE I

LOVED IN WISCONSIN WAS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AND WHAT I FIND SO

DISAPPOINTING IS THESE BILLS AREN'T GOING TO FIX THE PROBLEM.

THEY'RE DOING THE SAME OLD WASHINGTON THING THROWING MORE

MONEY AT THE PROBLEM AND OF COURSE WE HAVE ALL THE INFLAMED

RHETORIC SO WHAT I'D LIKE TO DO IS THROW SLOE THE PROCESS DOWN

AND GET THE INFORMATION AND GO THROUGH THE PROBLEM SOLVING

PROCESS AND REDUCE THESE ROOM PREMIUMS THAT HAVE BEEN DRIVEN

UP BECAUSE OF OBAMACARE MANDATES SO LET'S FIX THE PROBLEM BUT IN

THE END I COME FROM A MANUFACTURING BASE.

I'LL LOOK AT WHATEVER I'M FORCED TO VOTE ON AND I'LL ASK MYSELF

IS THIS BETTER TOMORROW THAN WHERE WE ARE TODAY?

IS IT CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT. >> YOU DON'T LIKE THIS PROCESS

BUT YOU'RE NOT WILLING TO DELAY THINGS TO FORCE THE PROCESS TO

GET BETTER? >> I WOULD LIKE TO DELAY THE

THING. THERE'S NO WAY WE SHOULD BE

VOETH ON THIS NEXT WEEK. >> ARE YOU GOING TO WORK TO STOP

A VOTE NEXT WEEK? >> I HAVE A HARD TIME BELIEVING

WISCONSIN CONSTITUENTS OR MYSELF WILL HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO

PROPERLY EVALUATE THIS FOR ME TO VOTE FOR A MOTION TO PROCEED.

SO I HAVE BEEN ENCOURAGING, LEADERSHIP T WHITE HOUSE,

ANYBODY I CAN TALK TO FOR QUITE SOMETIMES.

LET'S NOT RUSH THIS PROCESS. LET'S HAVE THE INTEGRITY TO SHOW

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHAT IT IS WHY HAVEN'T THEY LISTENED.

>> AS YOU

GET STRAIGHT A's I How to become a straight a student| Cal Newport - Duration: 7:46.

When I was in school, I was often surprised by the grades of Sunil and

Rohit Sunil always used to get straight A's in his exams and Rohit somehow

managed to get only B or B+....the funny thing was Sunil used to party a

lot, go for movies, take part in extracurricular activities...Rahul was a

more of the serious types...study and study he used to study more than 7 to 8 hours a

day...then why was this difference....let's find out and once you have understood

please go ahead and answer three simple questions below....1) Which according to you

is the most effective study tip? 2) Is this list comprehensive enough for you to

implement? 3) what else would you have liked to see that I have missed?

please leave your comments below

students like Rahul generally study for long hours....so the concentration is

diverted constantly...by their phone or TV etc...so the amount of information that

they can retain is very less... whereas for someone like Sunil...reading

in bursts work better....the maximum amount of time that they would study is approximately

for one hour and they take a break hence they can maintain full

concentration and finish their studies much faster...also due to less amount of

time available generally they would plan their studies better another tip is to

keep a detailed calendar to deadlines and upcoming tasks....schedule everything...

studies time offs parties this will help you to fight procrastination yeah I mean

that annoying lurking voice in your brain that keeps on saying that you have

plenty of time then you spend your whole night awake just to

submit the final assessment on time yep that's the one to fight it off schedule

everything and stick to it you will be much ahead of the curve

also the evening our body starts to slow down and prepares itself for sleep this

of course means we have less energy to spend on concentrated study also at that

time our friends will be free for partying so study early will help you

enjoy your life as well but study in isolation and rotate the place of self

this prevented Sunil from growing bored with the same four walls everyday

however I differ with this idea I am a creature of habits so having a known

setup works for me better but do try this out implement what suits you best

also having a healthy diet helped him to maintain focus a simple iron deficiency

can wreck a havoc on your focus same goes for water dehydration can lead to

extremely tired and it can become hard for you to do day-to-day activities

having at least 8 glasses of water every day can cause wonders on your energy

level another sure-shot way to get straight A's is to go to class

surprised yep going to class is the most efficient way to conquer your material

but only going to class will not get you straight A's if you cannot take accurate

notes I'm highlighting some of the methods that you can use...will produce a

separate video in future describing the methods in detail outline method

straightforward hierarchical discipline and overall very simple it is based on

bullet points in hierarchy you create new bullet points then fill up the lower

level bullet points with all the details Cornell method which employs dividing

the page into three columns cues notes and summary note-taking system

number three is mind map or producing a map of your mind

the fourth one will be no method final system of taking notes is the lazy man's

way of taking notes Yeah write on slides a simple trick that Sunil used

to apply to get straight A's is to study only those topic that are relevant for

exams so you think through the details that are worth remembering something that

I have found particularly helpful is to ask what will be the focus of the exam

do I need to know the mean and the exact dates for the exam will I need to

explain complex theories? another thing I used to do is to read

and re-read a specific topic and then try to explain it in my own words or write a

little personal test on notes that I have preferred once I could answer them

confidently I was sure enough that I will score good in the exams now that we

have prepared for exam let's look at how to tackle the big day once you have the

question paper in your hand skim through it quickly figure out the

easiest one to answer this way you're going to learn more relaxed when you

reach the tough question another very clever tactics is to set aside

10-15 min for revision you can immediately improve your score if you

revise there will be a lot of tissue with your existing answers and having time to

revise will help with rectify them oh I almost forgot

the most coveted secret of the straight-a students like Sunil

they know how to do optimum research on a subject

Do you drown your circle books frustrated agitated confused lost

too much of information so much to remember CHUCK IT learn the basics of

research my friends when collecting sources only gather necessary

information and nothing else you don't want to get lost in research recursion

syndrome start by outlining the important arguments you need to

research breaking the topics into general chunks find out if you have researched

an adequate amount of materials check two things first that all the topics

central to your exam have two good sources also you have at least

one good source that will be helpful but aren't necessary if you have this two then

stop successful study isn't about how much time you invest in it but on the

intensity and efficiency with which you do it by applying these techniques you

can get straight A's while studying less and having more time to spend on the

things that you really enjoy now take a few moments to answer the questions

which according to you is the most effective study tip is this list

comprehensive enough for you to implement what else would you have liked to see

that I have missed please let me know in the comment section below

this will help need to produce videos that can benefit you the most I have

gathered this information about how to get straight A's

by speaking to the different people my own experience and from the book how to pick

up a straight-a student by Cal Newport do share this video with your friends who

are not able to score as good as you in their exams it will benefit them charity

is a good thing right if you have enjoyed this video smash

that like button also for my future edu-tainment videos please hit the

subscribe button see you in next video till then bye bye

The Curious Case of Captain Robert Campbell - Duration: 3:30.

The Curious Case of Captain Robert Campbell

Captain Robert Campbell began his British Army career in 1903 at the age of 18.

Shortly after WWI started, in July of 1914 Campbell and the soldiers he was leading,

the First Battalion East Surrey Regiment, were sent to Mons-Condé canal in the north

west of France.

One week later, after an attack by German forces, Captain Campbell was seriously injured

and ultimately captured.

He was then treated in a German military hospital in Cologne, and, once healed up a bit, sent

to the prisoner-of-war (POW) camp in Magdeburg, Germany.

None of this makes Captain Campbell particularly unique in the "War to End All Wars."

Between 1914 and 1918, approximately 10 million civilians and servicemen were captured and

interred at various detention camps.

What makes Campbell's story different is something that happened two years after his

capture.

Now in his early 30s, Captain Campbell received word that his mother, Louise, was suffering

from terminal cancer.

With nothing to lose, Campbell wrote directly to Kaiser Wilhelm II, requesting compassionate

leave so that he might see her before she passed.

Surprisingly, the Kaiser agreed, granting him two weeks leave provided he "gave his

word as a British Army officer that he would return."

After giving his word, Captain Campbell was indeed released.

Details of how he actually made it home have been lost to history, but it is thought that

he traveled through the Netherlands and then took a boat to Kent.

Upon arriving home, he spent a week with his mother before returning to the POW camp by

equally mysterious means.

campbell-leave-of-absenceThere was no recorded explanation in the British military archives

why no one in the army tried to block his return, but presumably a British officer's

honor being at stake had something to do with it.

Whatever the case, in February of 1917, Captain Campbell's mother died while he was still

a prisoner.

Perhaps to keep himself occupied, and said to be a matter of honor and duty, as soon

as Captain Campbell returned to the prison camp, he and a group of other prisoners spent

the next nine months digging a tunnel out of their camp.

This tunnel project was partially successful in that they were able to use it to escape

the camp, but were caught near the border of the Netherlands and sent back.

While you may think that Captain Campbell's story and the show of mercy and good faith

on Kaiser Wilhelm II's part might have inspired the British to do the same, this was not the

case.

German POW Peter Gastreich was being held at the Isle of Wight when he learned his father

was dying.

He then asked for a leave of absence to go seem him, but the British Prisoners of War

Department summarily ruled against this, stating, they

"Cannot recognise the temporary release, on parole, of Captain Campbell as a precedent

for such concessions.

They were not consulted before leave was granted to the Officer by the German Government and

would not have consented to such a proposal had it been put before them."

At the war's end, along with the other POWs, Captain Campbell was released and remained

in the Army until he retired in 1925.

When WWII began, Campbell rejoined the army and served as the Chief Observer of the Royal

Observer Corps on the Isle of Wight.

He lived to the ripe old age of 81.

ultimately dying

in 1966.

WP3401402 - Replacing Your Whirlpool Dryer's Power Cord AP6008494 299416 PS11741633 - Duration: 2:56.

Hello my name is Megan.

Today we are going to be replacing the power cord on our Whirlpool Dryer.

You may need to replace this is if it is broken or frayed.

For this repair, you are going to need a quarter inch nut driver, a flat head screw driver

and a 5-16 pan snut driver.

Before working on any appliance please disconnect your power source.

This is our whirlpool dryer.

First thing we are going to do is flip it around.

All we are going to do is unscrew this screw right here.

I am also going to unscrew the top screw so i can easily get this plate out.

I'm just going to put it out.

Set it out to the side.

Were are going to unscrew the ground wire with your 5-16 snut screw driver

Now we are

just going to push that down, pull it out, and then you are going to use a flat head

screw driver if you need it or not it will come right off by pulling.

Now grab your new OEM replacement part and if you dont already have one

You can purchase it on our website.

Now we are just going to re-attach the wires, push it in.

And we are just going to make sure it is tucked in and then we are going to slide this back up

Now you are going to take your 5-16 screw and you are just going to screw it back in.

Put your Axe-panel back in.

Now you are just going to grab your screws.

Screw the two back on.

Turn it around and plug in your dryer.

You've completed your repair.

Finally don't forget to plug in your appliance.

If you need to replace any parts for your appliances you can find an oem replacement

part on our online store.

Thank you for watching our video.

Please like comment and share and don't forget to subscribe to our channel

WPW10359270 - Replacing Your Whirlpool Dryer's Left Roller Shaft AP6020387 239480 PS11753706 - Duration: 7:43.

Hi I'm Mike and today i will be showing you how to replace the roller shaft in your dryer

model.

The reason you would be replacing this part is if the shaft has been broken or been badly

damaged due to a bad bearing.

For this repair you are going to need felt head screw driver, a putty knife, a flat head

screw driver, a 9-16 snut driver, a pair of channel locks, and a sock wrench with a 9-16socket.

Warning before doing any repairs please disconnect your appliance from the power source.

Here we have our dryer model, and the first thing that we are going to do is remove the

lint screen.

Once you remove the lint screen you can go ahead and remove these two screws.

Next is using a putty knife and were going to pop open the top panel of the dryer. and

we are going to lift the top panel of the dryer open.

so we can gain access inside of the dryer.

Next using a flat head screw driver, we're going to disconnect this wire harness.

Using a 5-16 snut driver we are going to remove the two screws that hold the front panel to

the dryer in the inside frame.

Next we are going to pull out the front panel and we are just going to slide the front panel

out and remove it.

Next we are going to disconnect the belt.

After you disconnect the belt and move the pully grab onto the belt and remove the drum

from the dryer.

So after the dryer drum is removed we're going to se that our shaft is located right here.

We are going to have to first remove this right here.

Once that shield has been removed we are going to remove this support.

After that support has been taken out, we are going to remove the tri-ring.

After that tri-ring has been removed You can go ahead and slip the wheel off.

So if you notice any debris such as like what we have here.

I recommend that you just clean it off because you will have to remove another tri-ring.

Once that second tri-ring has been removed.

Next we are going to have to turn the dryer around to gain access to the back of the roller.

Once you've turned your dryer around.

You are going to remove the back panel of the dryer.

Here we have the back of our rover its going to be located just above the gas line.

using a 9-16 socket wrench we are just going to loosen up the bolt of the roller and then

we are going to remove it.

So then we remove the washer after that.

We are going to move the dryer around again and then we are going to move the roller.

So once you turn your dryer around you can go ahead and pull the roller out.

so we are just going to remove the washer out of our old roller.

Now lets get your new oem replacement roller if you do not have any you can purchase one

on our online store.

were just going to take the washer we took off previously and place it on the roller

before we place it back into the frame.

So now we are going to place our new roller into where it is supposed to be position.

Once you place the roller back you are going to take your bold and then very lightly rotate

it onto the shaft. just a few turns.

Once you put the bolt on, next we can tighten the roller onto the dryer frame.

We are going to have to take a pair of channel locks and hold the end of the roller ,we are

going to lift it up.

And we are now going to take our socket wrench and tighten the bolt onto the roller . Next

we are going to reattached the back panel.

Once the back panel has been put back on, we are going to have to turn the dryer back

on again to have access to the inside.

So once you turn your dryer around we are going to place the back tri-ring onto the

inside of the shaft.

We can go ahead and turn our wheel back on, and then place the front tri-ring onto the

shaft as well.

Make sure everything is secure.

And then you can just replace that support we took off previously.

After you put in the support you can go ahead and replace the cover.

and once that is covered you can go ahead and insert in the drum.

Next we are going to take idr pully, place it in position.

while holding the idr pulley we are going to take the belt and pull it around the pully.

and we are just going to slide it over the motor pully.

After the belt is in place you can take the front of the dryer and slide it in position,

Next we are going to screw the inside of dryer.

We're going to snap the wire harness back in.

We are going to take a top of the dryer, snap it back into place.

After you shut the top of the dryer you a can go ahead and replace those two screws.

After those two screws has been replaced, you put your lint filter back in and your

repair is complete.

Finally don't forgot to plug in your appliance.

If you need any of the parts mentioned in this video.

You have find the specific replacement using your part number or model number.

Thanks for watching our video your support is what allows us to keep creating this free

content for your to enjoy

Senator Ron Johnson: 'We Should Not Be Voting' on Healthcare This Week | Meet The Press | MSNBC - Duration: 7:54.

What Die Hard Fans Don't Even Know About Steak 'N Shake - Duration: 4:30.

If you don't have a Steak 'n Shake near you, you're missing out.

The fast-ish food joint specializes in hamburgers — they call them "steakburgers" — and

is one of the fastest-growing restaurants in the US, with over 550 across the country.

It's not just a fad, though, as Steak 'n Shake has been around since the 1930s.

So, what took them so long to make an impact nationally?

Here's a look at what die-hard fans don't even know about Steak 'n Shake.

The start of the slogan

Steak 'n Shake founder Gus Belt was a bit of showman.

When he opened the first Steak 'n Shake in 1934, he decided to prove how fresh his steakburgers

were by hauling a wheelbarrow of fresh meat through the store and then grinding it right

in front of the customers.

That sounds… kind of horrifying, actually, but it led to the famous Steak 'n Shake slogan

"In sight, it must be right."

Also in sight?

The milkshake machines, which he put in the front window so people driving by would be

enticed to stop by.

They have their own language

Another Steak 'n Shake slogan flashes in red at every location.

It looks like a tricky tongue-twister: Takhomasak.

So where did Belt come up with this?

Well, he didn't.

A restaurant in Denver, Colorado called Rockybilt actually pioneered the slogan "TAK-HOMA-SAK"

as a suggestion that hungry patrons order pickup.

You know… "take home a sack?"

When Belt appropriated the slogan, he simply took out the dashes from the original spelling,

and the familiar Takhomasak slogan was born.

There was a Steak 'n Shake civil war

In 2013, the Steak 'n Shake brand devolved into civil war when 50 franchise owners banded

together to fight back against their corporate masters, who were demanding that all franchises

lower their prices to adhere to a new $4 value meal menu.

The rebellious franchises claimed that the drop in prices would lead to hundreds of thousands

of dollars in lost revenue.

"What are the odds, Mike?

All four meals under four dollars going to the same table?"

"Yup."

The results were a mixed bag for the franchises.

While some reached a settlement out of court with parent company Biglari Holdings, at least

one franchise was forced to pay damages after unhappy patrons brought their own lawsuit

alleging they had been charged $5 for food that was advertised as being on the $4 menu.

You could say they were playing for… high stakes.

It's changed hands several times

When founder Gus Belt died in 1954, his wife Edith took over the company.

In 1969, though, she sold the 50 or so Steak 'n Shake locations to a company called Longchamps.

That was just the start of a string of buyouts: The Franklin Corporation bought Steak 'n Shake

in 1971, then sold it to E.W. Kelley and associates in 1981.

Company head Ed Kelley decided to return the franchise to its roots of fresh meals, made

to order, and eventually expanded the chain to where it is now under the new parent company

Biglari Holdings.

It inspired Shake Shack

If you're a die-hard fan of Shake Shack, you have Steak 'n Shake to thank for your favorite

spot.

Yes, it's true: Shake Shack founder Danny Meyer told The New York Times that his career

path started at the Steak 'n Shake in St. Louis when he was just a teen, saying,

"[I] spent a lot of my weekend nights as a teenager at Steak 'n Shake… and those

parking lot experiences hanging out with friends were inspirational in desire to create a burger

joint that would bring people together."

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but in this case, it's also the

yummiest.

Roger Ebert was their biggest fan

You might like Steak 'n Shake.

You might even love Steak 'n Shake, but you, friend, are no Roger Ebert.

The famous movie critic gave the restaurant two thumbs up and waxed poetically in prose

usually reserved for an Oscar-winning film.

He said if the Pope asked for a good spaghetti joint, he'd recommend the Chili Mac or Chili

3-Ways – both Steak n' Shake specialties.

His love affair with the burger joint started on the campus of the University of Illinois

when he was just 3 or 4 years old, and continued throughout his life.

Ebert wrote in his loving ode to the restaurant in 2009 that if he were on death row, his

last meal would be from Steak 'n Shake.

He finally succumbed to cancer in 2013 after a lengthy battle — let's hope he had one

more steakburger for the road.

Bloodthirsty Koch Brothers Warn – Cut Our Taxes Or No More Campaign Money - Duration: 3:57.

This past weekend, the Koch brothers hosted a donor retreat where at least 18 elected

officials also attended, where they met with wealthy Republican donors, talked policy,

and basically just mingled and had a great time with one another.

During this meeting, both the Koch brothers and several other wealthy donors issued a

warning to Republicans in the United States, "If you do not pass healthcare reform and

if you do not pass tax reform, we are going to close the piggy banks."

Specifically, one wealthy Republican donor from Dallas said that his Dallas piggy bank

is now closed until those two initiatives, those two pieces of legislation actually get

passed.

What's happening here is that these Republican donors are engaging in extortion, I mean textbook

definition of extortion at this point.

They're trying to get money in the form of tax breaks, and they're using coercive measures

threatening to remove funding for these Republicans in order to get it.

That, folks, is extortion, a federal crime.

That's how we get a lot of Mafia members put in prison, by charging them with extortion,

and that is exactly what these wealthy Republican donors are doing to members of the Republican

Party.

Now I have no sympathy for members of the Republican Party whatsoever, not even the

least little bit, but they are currently being held hostage by these wealthy donors.

They know that they have to go back to D.C. and pass healthcare reform only because it

cuts taxes on the wealthy.

They have to pass their so-called tax reform because it cuts taxes for the top one percent,

and that's what these wealthy donors want.

That is what they've been trying to get done for years but couldn't get it through

Obama, and now the Republicans control everything.

They're calling in the chips.

They're saying, "It's time for you to deliver for us because we have consistently delivered

for you."

That's what big money does to American politics.

These Republicans and even those who weren't in attendance, people like Paul Ryan, who

is completely beholden to the Koch brothers, they owe them everything and they will deliver

on everything that they can for these wealthy donors.

Those are the only people that they care about.

They do not care about their constituents.

They do not care about the environment, policy, healthcare, Medicaid, anything other than

cutting taxes for their wealthy donors because they know, and Republican donors proved it,

confirmed it this weekend, that if they don't do that, if they don't give these billionaires

more money, then their campaign funds are going to dry up.

Now a skilled lawyer could come in here, see what these people said at these meetings,

and absolutely move forward with extortion charges.

Unfortunately, our US Supreme Court says that political money is free speech, so it would

be a little difficult to actually get charges against these people for this.

But make no mistake, if this were any other situation, not politics, the men at that meeting

would absolutely be charged with extortion.

Kevin: for a lot of everything kinda just you know

Jarod: you have two characters and the harmony thickens as the second character joins

Jarod: I mean obviously two people

Armoured Trains of World War 1 I THE GREAT WAR Special feat. Military History Visualized - Duration: 9:31.

They were a development of the 19th century, but they certainly played a part in the First

World War and beyond in the 20th, especially in the wide-open spaces of Russia and the

Eastern Front where roads didn't go.

I'm talking about armored trains.

I'm Indy Neidell; welcome to a Great War Special Episode about Armored Trains.

Before I start, I want to point out that these are trains that had armored protection for

their crews AND weapons, not like "armed trains" which were more for transportation

only.

And not like the mighty railway guns, which developed in parallel to armored trains and

deserve their own special.

Anyhow, the expansion of railway networks during the industrial revolution saw trains

becoming vital military resources.

Mostly for transport, but even in combat as early as the Austrian revolutionary days of

1848.

Armored trains were used in the American Civil War in the 1860s; the first one patrolling

north of Baltimore and being used against the Confederacy - this hinted at their later

use in anti-partisan warfare.

For the remainder of the century, the British army led their development, using them in

colonial warfare.

A big development during this time was placing an expendable railway car at the front of

the train to protect the locomotive.

The first major deployment of armored trains was in the Boer Wars, and the British had

13 trains in use - they could travel quickly through dangerous territory and soldiers could

fight from within.

"The best known action took place on November 15th, 1899...

General Louis Botha ordered a Boer military force to block the train near Frere, while

his troops launched an ambush from behind...

When the train attempted to withdraw, it ran into a large boulder placed on the tracks...

and one of the armored infantry wagons was derailed.

The armored train was then blasted by the Boers, who were armed with two field guns...

The armored train's own 7 pounder gun was knocked out of action, but the armored locomotive

was eventually able to push past the obstruction, leaving behind the derailed truck.

Botha's task force captured over 50 British troops as well as a young journalist... the

young Winston Churchill."

This showed that the trains couldn't really operate independently, so the British gave

them seven main missions: infantry support, intercepting enemy troops, flanking protection,

reinforcing railway stations and camps, patrolling, reconnaissance, and railway protection.

They did not further develop the trains, though, as they saw them as only useful in colonial

warfare, not European, but the Russians had been taking notes and began building armored

trains around the turn of the century.

So, when the Great War broke out neither the British or French had armored trains deployed.

The Germans converted 9 civilian trains with armour plates and these were used behind the

lines against Belgian and French saboteurs.

The Belgians actually had two armoured trains of their own.

The British Navy helped out at Antwerp by putting some naval guns on flatcars, and the

Germans also used some during the beginnings of the Battle of Verdun, but armored trains

weren't very useful in the stalemate of the Western Front.

It was a different story in the east.

The war there was often highly mobile and covered huge expanses of land that were inaccessible

by roads.

Now, the Russian armored trains were based around an armored locomotive that pulled two

armored cars that had machine guns and cannons.

It also pushed two flatcars in front for security.

These were used in the Battle of Galicia and in East Prussia in 1914 and had notable successes

around Lemberg and then Brest-Litovsk in 1915.

Austria-Hungary was so impressed - or concerned - by their performance that Hungarian Railways

began building them in the winter of 1914-15.

By 1916, they had improved the design and had deployed ten of them in Russia, Italy,

and Romania.

Again, the Germans put some together that were improvised designs, but they weren't

nearly as good/sophisticated as the Austrian or Russian models.

MHV: Actually, Indy the Germans had a pretty good plan on how to use their armoured trains.

Indy: Oh, I would recognise that German accent anywhere, you are the guy from Military History

Visualised!

MHV: Genau!

And as I was saying the Germans had already developed a plan on using armoured trains

for transport and patrol purposes, 4 years before the war they had regulations that even

detailed how to mobilize their trains.

Although, later on they improved less than the Russians and Austro-Hungarians.

Yet, one interesting concept was the "Panzerhaus" or "armored house", it was a rail car

with traversable armored box or house on it.

This allowed them to put various various field guns into them and since those also had frontal

shields anyway, they had basically a poor man's turret.

Indy: This certainly sounds like the kind of ingenious design the Germans would come

up with during the war.

MHV: Exactly!

If you want to know more about the German and Austro-Hungarian Armoured trains, you

should come over to my channel and check out my new video about it.

Indy: Oh, that sounds awesome, we will certainly do that. And I am sure everybody out there will also do that.

Thanks for stopping by!

Anyway, the Russian army.

They really used armoured trains for surprise attacks and carrying troops into "hot zones".

They had 15 armored trains in use from Finland down to the Caucasus.

Early in the war they were really just rolling fortresses with firing slits in armored cars,

but by 1915 they were more like warships, with turreted guns and multiple machine guns.

The Khunkhuz class for example had a 76.2mm gun at the front with a wide angle of fire

and with a bunch of Maxim guns to protect it.

Development then proceeded to armored railcruisers.

These were self-propelled, needing no locomotive, and both the Russians and Austrians used these

smaller machines with a fair degree of success.

The most intense use of armored trains, though, came during the Russian Civil War.

You could sort of guess that since much of the war was fought along railway connections

between the larger cities, and that war also saw many smaller factions fighting irregular

warfare.

Different local militias took over the trains left from WW1, but the Red Army began producing

its own.

There was a wide variety of models, but the most common was still with two armored cars,

a locomotive in the middle, and flatcars up front, maybe with a couple of field guns and

12 machine guns or so.

Even so, these made up only around a quarter of the roughly 300 armored trains used in

the Civil War.

They were very effective; a Polish soldier recounted from the Polish-Soviet War, "In

the recent battles, armored trains were the most serious and terrible adversaries.

They are well-designed, act shockingly, desperately, and decisively, have large amounts of firepower

and are the most serious means of our enemy's tactics.

Our infantry is powerless against enemy armored trains."

They eventually became the shock force of the Red Army, transporting raiding teams made

up of 165 infantry, 47 cavalry, and a machine gun detachment.

These units functioned as the train's protection, but also as an extension of its operative

range.

That war even saw train on train combat, as the White Army had more than 80 armored trains

of its own.

One famous armored railcruiser was Zaamurets.

Built in Odessa in 1916 and powered by two Fiat automobile engines, it saw fighting in

1916 and 1917, then when the Bolsheviks came to power it changed hands several times, fighting

with Ukrainian militias, Bolshevik revolutionaries, and the German army of occupation.

Eventually, it had an armored train attached and was taken by the Czech Legion, who were

trying to leave Russia but had to go by the Pacific since the Germans were still fighting

the war to the west.

It was renamed Orlik and served with the Legion until they reached Vladivostok in 1920.

The White Army then used it to fight the Bolsheviks until 1922 when they took it to Manchuria

where it fought with the Fengtian Army in the Zhili-Fengtian War.

It was captured by the Japanese and that's the last I know of it.

If you know more, tell us in the comments.

Post WW1, armored trains were used by emerging nations from the former Austro-Hungarian Empire,

they were used in the Chinese Civil War, and both the Nazis and the Soviets used them in

World War Two, but their "glory days" were over; the days as a technical marvel

and a weapon to be feared on the Eastern Front and indeed throughout Russia.

One of the main sources for this video was "Armoured Trains" by Steven J Zaloga,

Noah: "I'm telling you. "

"They're everywhere."

"Twitter,"

"Facebook."

-Raven: "Ugh. This is so depressing."

"Why are we looking at all of these again?"

Noah: "Raign says she's not being harassed.."

"I just..."

"I don't buy it."

"I think she's holding out."

-Raven: "When have you ever known Raign to hold out on you?"

-Noah: "Exactly! If she doesn't want me finding out about it-"

"-It's gotta be bad."

Raven: "Orrr you're just being your super dramatic self,"

"And jumping to conclusions like you usually do."

Noah: "Look at this."

"Half of these guys are men our age, okay?"

"Now just imagine being surrounded by teenagers with nothing better to do."

Raven: "Alright, yeah."

"I see your point."

"Should I try talking to her?"

"She usually opens up to me."

Noah: "Yeah about girl shit,"

"Things she can't talk to me about."

"But not things like this."

Raven: "If she's holding out,"

"It's because she doesn't what you're in particular worrying about her."

"I'll try talking to her."

Noah: "Okay..."

"Yeah."

"Thanks."

Raven: "You're welcome."

Ezra: "Hey."

Tresor: "Hey! I've been trying to reach you all morning."

"Are you okay?"

Ezra: "I-I'm just really held up with work right now."

Tresor: "You sound upset."

Ezra: "I'm just tired."

"That's all."

Tresor: "You should take a break."

"Meet up for lunch?"

Ezra: "I can't."

"Work's just-"

"Kind of been, uh-"

"Stacking up."

"I'll see you later then."

"I love you."

Ezra: "...I love you, too."

*clears throat*

Tresor: "Are you sure you're okay?"

Ezra: "Yeah, I have to go."

Noah: "Everything okay?"

Tresor: "Yeah."

"Ezra can't make it to lunch."

Noah: "Let me take you then!"

"It's been a while since we spent some time together."

"Just the two of us."

Tresor: "That-That sounds great.

Raven: "Noah."

"Want me to pick up Raign today?"

"I'll take to her on our ride back."

Noah: "Yeah, that'd be great."

"Thanks, Raven."

Jonah: "Are you and Raven exclusive?"

Simon: "What?"

Jonah: "You and Raven."

Simon: "Yeah."

"We're exclusive..."

"Why?"

Jonah: "Uh.."

"The-"

"Way"

"she is with Noah!"

"Because everyone seems to be acting like it's nothing!"

Simon: "It is nothing."

Jonah: "How is THAT nothing?"

Simon: "I trust Noah."

"And Raven."

Jonah: "We are way pass the whole-"

"Would they or wouldn't they.."

"They already are!"

"It's happening."

"That ship has sailed."

Simon: "They're close.."

Jonah: "Yeah."

"Too close."

Simon: "It.."

"Takes some time to get used to,"

"I know.."

"But-"

"Noah is the most important person in Raven's life."

"Always will be."

Jonah: "And You don't find that weird?"

"She's your girlfriend!"

Simon: "I- I did at first..."

"Like I said, takes some time to get used to-"

"But..."

"He's her best friend."

"That's all there is to it."

Jonah: "And you believe that?!"

Simon: "Like I said!"

"I trust Noah with my life."

Jonah: "Didn't realize you two were so close."

Simon: "I did practically raise the kid.."

"I mean.."

"Tresor did, but-"

"I was there for most of it."

Jonah: "I still think it's weird..."

Simon: "You know what's weird?"

"That phone call between Tresor and Ezra."

Jonah: "What about it?"

Simon: "The whole..."

"Not answering the phone all morning."

"Not available for lunch situation."

Jonah: "He's stuck at work."

"I mean I'd hardly call that a situation-"

Simon: "Something's obviously off."

Jonah: "Cause he couldn't make it to lunch...?"

Simon: "It's not about the lunch."

Jonah: "I don't think ezra's as bad of a guy as you've painted him out to be."

"I think something's clouding your judgement."

"Do you have feelings for Tresor?"

Raven: "Babe someone's on the phone for you."

"Rick something?"

"He said it's about the beer tap or whatever."

Simon: "Can't you handle it?"

Raven: "I tried, but he insisted on speaking to the manager."

Raven: "You know there are tons of other bars you can waste your day away at."

"Tons of other states too."

Jonah: "Alright!"

"What is it?"

"I mean this- this can't just be about me leaving Noah fifteen years ago."

"What?"

"Do I remind you of an Ex or something?"

Raven: "You wish."

Jonah: "You know, you, uh-"

"-Might be missing out on something really great here."

Raven: "I'll take my chances."

Jonah: "You can't genuinely hate me."

"You don't even know me."

Raven: "Simon's going to work in ten,"

"You can see yourself out."

"If he's not here to deal with your shit, then I sure as hell don't have to either."

*clears throat*

Ezra: "What?"

Jordan:" I heard."

"So I came to check on how you're doing."

Ezra: "My mother is forcing me to choose between my fiance..."

"And my life as we know it."

"All for a job that-"

"-That I don't even want to begin with."

Jordan: "I'm-"

"Sorry."

Ezra: "I know."

"I'll have to-"

"-Find another job."

"It'll take some time..."

"To.."

"Uhmm.."

"I'll have to work-"

"I'll have to start."

"From the bottom."

"And work my way up, but-"

"It'll be okay."

"I just-"

-"I don't know where to apply..."

"I never really.."

"Had to apply for a job before, and uhm-"

"I don't know.."

"I'll find-"

"I'll find something!"

Jordan: "So you're just gonna stand by and let her take everything away from you?!"

Ezra: "I don't have a choice!"

Jordan: "Yes, you do!"

Ezra: "Leaving Tresor-"

"Is not a choice."

Jordan: "Listen to me.."

Ezra: "There's nothing to discuss, Jordan."

Ezra: "I'm not-"

"-leaving Tresor."

Jordan: "Just hear me out!"

Ezra: "No!"

Jordan: "I am your spokeswoman, Ezra."

"I'm the one who foresees all the polls, and statistics, and numbers."

"Since the shooting the percentage of people voting for you has dropped from a 78 to a 42 percent."

-"The odds are stacked up against you winning, Ezra."

"The odds are you are going to lose the election."

-"Whether you stay with Tresor-"

"-or not."

"Why lose everything when you can end up losing nothing at all?"

Ezra: "What are you saying?"

Jordan: "All your mother wants is to see you try."

"To see you fight for this position."

"Just like you dad did. And his dad before him, and so on."

"Whether you win or lose, it doesn't matter."

-"If you were to.."

"Momentarily.."

"-hold off your relationship with Tre-."

Ezra: "No!"

"Absolutely not!"

"I'm not gambling away my life with Tresor!"

Jordan: "Ezra look around you!"

"This!"

"Is your life with Tresor."

"Your job, the house, the car, the money!"

"Your life together has been built around it whether intentionally or not!"

"You will lose-"

"EVERYTHING."

"You don't think that'll effect the life you've lived with Tresor so far?"

"Is that the future you promised her?"

Ezra: "Any future is better than no future at all."

Jordan: "You are not listening to me."

"The odds are stacked up against you."

"You are most likely going to lose this election."

"You just.."

"You need to take some time away from each other until after the election."

"That way,"

"Your mother can see you fight for this position."

"And when you do lose, she'll understand."

"And she will leave you alone."

Ezra: "And If I win?"

Jordan: "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it-"

"-IF-"

"We come to it."

Ezra: "I don't know..."

Jordan: "Just please.."

"Promise me you'll think about it."

*weird splash sound effect*

Bellamy: "Rivers?"

"You okay in there?"

"I know you're in there."

"Might as well just answer me."

Raign: "What do you want from me?!"

Bellamy: "I'm just checking if you're okay."

"Are you?"

Raign: "Just leave me alone.."

"I said leave me alone!"

Raign: "What do you want..."

Bellamy: "I want to help."

Raign: "I don't need your help."

Bellamy: "I saw what happened out there.."

"It sucks."

"Look-"

"Your shirt is all wet."

"It's practically freezing outside."

"I have a dorm room."

"I can lend you a shirt!"

Raign: "Why?"

Bellamy: "Because your shirt is all wet and it's freezing outside. "

Raign: "No..."

"Why are you being so nice to me?!"

Bellamy: "Why not?"

Raign: "Because..."

"My dad shot down a hospital..."

Bellamy: "Its right there in the sentence."

"Your-"

"DAD."

"Shot down a hospital."

"I don't see the point in taking it out on you."

Raign: "Most people don't seem to see it that way."

Bellamy: "I'm not like most people."

"Come on."

"Let's get you out of these clothes and into some dry ones."

Jonah: "Ehhh, Fuck it."

"Fuck."

Tresor: "Soooo.."

"Raven's going to be picking Raign up."

Noah: "Mm-Hmm."

Tresor: "Why is that again...?

Noah: "She's going to be talking to Raign about college and stuff like that."

"She's not really opening up to me."

Tresor: "And you think she's going to open up to Raven?"

Noah: "They're close."

"What is it?"

Tresor: "Nothing! I- I just-"

"I can't stand the idea of Raven breathing next to Raign, never mind being the one she comes to for advice!"

Noah: "Tres..."

Tresor: "I mean.. Raign is so easily influenced,"

"And I think everyone can agree that Raven isn't exactly the epitome of good behavior-"

Noah: "Tresor."

Tresor: "Or decent behavior for that matter."

Noah: "Tresor, I love you,"

"but you need to stop talking."

" I know a lot has happened between the two of you,"

"but that doesn't change the fact that she cares about Raign,"

"And what's best for her."

"And I wouldn't have her around Raign if I doubted for a second that she's not good for her."

Tresor: "I know..."

"I'm sorry."

"She's just so-"

Noah: "Tresor."

Tresor: "Okay, okay!"

"I'm sorry, I know you care about her."

"For some reason...."

Noah: "Seriously??"

Tresor: "I'm sorry! I'm done. I promise."

Noah: "You're impossible."

Bellamy: "Make yourself comfortable."

"I'll find a shirt for you to wear."

"Here."

"I really only own over-sized shirts, but hopefully it'll do."

Raign: "Thank you."

"Can you...?"

Bellamy: "Oh!"

"Right."

*weird inconsistent sound effects*

Raign: "Okay, uh, how does it look it-"

Bellamy: "-Perfect."

Raign: "You're very tall."

Bellamy: "And you're very tiny."

Raign: "I'm sorry about earlier."

"and yesterday..."

"I just..."

"You were trying to help..."

"And I-"

Bellamy: "Water under the bridge."

"To tell you the truth,"

"I was kind of impressed."

"Was starting to seriously doubt you could even talk never mind go off like that."

"Never took you for a badass."

Raign: "I am not badass..."

Bellamy: "Your dad freaking mass murders a whole hospital, and you're back here in a week?!"

"That's badass."

"I would've been long gone by now."

"Some place where no one knows me."

"But not you."

"You stayed."

"You my friend,"

"Are one of the strongest people I know."

"Oh fuck! Class started 10 minutes ago."

Raign: "Wait, what about your shirt?"

Bellamy: "Just, give it to me tomorrow."

"It'll give me an excuse to talk to you."

Jonah: "Are you alone?"

Tresor: "Yes..."

"What's going on?"

Jonah: "Follow me."

Jonah: "You should sit down."

Tresor: "Okay, you're starting to freak me out."

Jonah: "I found these hidden in Noah's room."

"Okay, now. I'm not saying Noah's addicted, but there are a lot of pills."

"and I mean a drawer full of them-"

Tresor: "Jonah..."

Jonah: "And I googled symptoms-"

"-of painkiller pills abuse,"

"And I got a lot of shit,"

"But also anxiety."

"And I mean, I-I know I've only been here for like a week,"

But Noah's just about the most anxious son of a bitch I've ever met."

"Oh! And- And get this!"

"one of the symptoms..."

"Mood swings."

"MOOD SWINGS."

"Everything adds up."

Tresor: "The orange ones are cholesterol modifying medications."

"I guess you're familiar with the aspirin one."

"The yellow ones are beta blockers, the purple and white ones are nitroglycerin."

"Raign always thought they were the prettiest so we had to be extra careful with keeping them out of sight."

"The rest are, uhm,"

"Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors."

"And.."

"Angiotensin Receptor blockers."

"I don't know which is which, I can never tell them apart."

Jonah: "I- I don't understand."

Tresor: "Coronary artery disease."

"He was diagnosed when he was ten, and had two coronary artery bypass grafting since."

"Both were covered by insurance."

"As long as he takes his medication, avoids smoking, drinking, heavy physical activity, or stress.."

"You know stuff like that that'll wear his heart out."

"He'll be fine."

Jonah: "Sorry you had to go through all that alone."

"So he's not a prescription painkiller pills abuser,"

"Suffering from mood swings among other symptoms.."

Tresor: "Sorry."

Jonah: "He just hates me."

Tresor: "He doesn't hate you."

Tresor: "Okay, he hates you."

Jonah: "Do you think he just needs time or...?

Tresor: "Do you want me to tell you the truth or what you wanna hear?"

Jonah: "Well that's pretty much all the answer I need."

"God..."

"I.. Was really holding on to the possibility that my younger brother is a pill-popping Druggie

"How screwed up is that?"

Tresor: "Pretty screwed up."

Jonah: "Fuck."

Tresor: "Come on."

"Let's go to Simons bar. We're hanging out there tonight."

Jonah: "I think I'll just hang out here."

Tresor: "Uh-huh."

"Self pitty is definitely not a good look on you."

"Come on, let's go."

Jonah: "I don't know..."

Tresor: "It'll make Raign happy."

"It'll make me happy too."

"Please?"

Jonah: "Jeez, if you're going to start beggining."

Tresor: "Come on."

Noah: "You two have been out all day."

-"I was starting to worry!"

Raign: "We had lunch then went on a shopping spree."

Noah: "That explains the weird shirt you're wearing."

Raign: "Oh, no, this-"

"This belongs to a friend of mine... Bellamy."

Noah: "Bellamy...?"

Raign: "You've never heard of her because we only just became friends today."

-"Raven can I have the keys to your apartment?"

"I need to use your bathroom upstairs."

"I've been holding it in since I left the house this morning."

Simon: "It's already open Raign. Go ahead."

Raign: "Thank you."

Noah: "She's making friends?"

Raven: "She's making friends."

"She is going through shit, though. Don't get me wrong."

"But, she's handling it."

"Really well actually."

"I think she's going to be fine."

Noah: "Thanks."

Raven: "You're welcome."

"Alright."

"I need to get out of these clothes and into something more comfortable."

Jonah: "Listen..."

"About earlier today..."

"I-I was out of line."

Simon: "You were."

"And this is the last time you're opening this topic,"

"Not with me-"

"-Not with anyone."

"Are we clear?"

Jonah: "Got it."

Simon: "So, can I get you anything?"

Jonah: "Just a soda.. Thanks."

Simon: "You got it."

Noah: "What is it?"

Tresor: "Nothing. I'm just trying to reach Ezra."

Noah: "Since this morning?!"

Tresor: "Of course not!"

"We talked durning the day, it's- it's just-"

Raven: "I think you owe me a dance."

Noah: "Yeah?"

Q&A: VidCon, Summer In The City, Why I Started YouTube, Deaf Culture | English + ASL Mix - Duration: 6:56.

(marker scratching)

(Pokemon game sound)

OK, so I asked Twitter to leave me questions for a Q&A.

It's been a while since I've done a Q&A, so...

Normally I only do these on my birthday

but I decided maybe we should do one a little earlier.

It's actually supposed to celebrate my 50,000 subscriber milestone.

So... OK. Chronicles of Sassy asked and says:

Just started watching your channel because of BrizzyVoices.

Loved it instantly. What made you want to start doing YouTube?

A long time ago, I was a makeup vlogger.

I had graduated from high school and after that, I was bored and depressed.

I needed something to do.

So when I firsted started watching YouTube regularly,

I somehow came across makeup tutorials and reviews.

I became intrigued by them and spent all night watching more.

I started thinking a bit and thought, "I'm liking this. I want to try it."

Later on, I thought, "I want to start a YouTube channel."

I didn't have school or a job.

I just needed something to do.

So I continued making makeup videos for about four years.

Eventually as time went on, I got bored of making these videos.

I wanted to stop doing makeup videos, but not YouTube altogether.

So I had to start thinking of what it was I could do.

Then I remembered, "Hey! I'm deaf!"

I watch a lot of YouTube that's uncaptioned content.

And so I wanted to talk about being deaf or hard of hearing,

captions, learning ASL, and learning about Deaf culture and the community.

I wanted to about accessibility since it was important to me.

For the record, I'm not making makeup videos anymore.

Ever.

I 100% quit that.

Kathryne asks,

Turquoise.

Paul Roth asks:

Who are you looking forward to hanging out with at VidCon?

What's something you haven't eaten in a while or ever that you'd like to?

You, James - even though he's not coming to VidCon -

Molly, Annie, Andrea, Abby.

A lot of people.

I want to eat...

What do I want to eat?

Ramen.

I mean, I ate that last week, but I want it again.

Oh, and Doomie's!

I've never had Doomie's before and I really want to try it.

I know there's a Doomie's in LA.

And Natalie asks:

What's some advice you can give on someone who is becoming hard of hearing

and isn't familiar with the deaf community/deaf culture

How to sign that? How to sign that?

How do I translate that?

Close enough?

Research online. Read books.

Watch videos [from deaf people].

(Hi, watch my videos!)

No, but really, there are other d/Deaf/HOH vloggers.

Also, find d/Deaf/HOH people in your area if you can.

Rikan asks:

How did you find out about Hello!Project?

What's your favourite group and song?

OK, in case you have no idea what Hello!Project is,

it is a Japanese music label, record label, right?

So, they have groups like Morning Musume

and C-ute and Berryz Koubou

and really the only group I mostly listened to from Hello!Project

was Morning Musume, and then there were some solo artists.

I did like some songs from C-ute and Berryz

and other subgroups that may have been made,

but my ride-and-die group was pretty much Morning Musume

whenever I listened to J-pop.

It took me years to get into AKB48 so...

FYI, AKB48 is not part of Hello!Project,

they're kind of rivals in that industry, but yeah.

(laughs)

Mack asks,

"Where are we going for dinner?"

AKA... Where am I taking you for that dinner I owe you?

Bean in Charlotte or Asheville.

Depending on wherever you are, we're going to the Bean there

because that's my favourite vegan place ever in the area

and I want to go - I always want to go.

And if I can get the queso dip for free, I'm getting it.

I forgot how to pronounce my own friend's name, but Mhairi asked...

Mary? Is it Mary? (laughs)

You ever think about coming over to the UK to some events?

Maybe Summer in the City?

[attempting to translate in ASL]

Something like that.

OK, I have a philosophy when it comes to events

and going somewhere and travelling

that isn't my own personal trip.

If you will fly me out and pay me, I will go anywhere.

So, if Summer in the City wanted to invite me, I would love to go.

That is something that I've always looked at and was interested in.

I want to go to the UK, I want to go to places like England and,

you know, Ireland, Scotland, but

that's a little expensive for my own pocket so...

And I'm sure those events could use accessibility talks.

I am more than happy - if any of these events want to invite me over,

I am more than happy to come on over.

So, those are all the questions that I have for that hashtag

and, yes, I attempted to do two languages

in different spots of the video.

I don't... Don't ask me why, I just wanted to.

Variety is the spice of life.

The First Public E3: A Goddamn Mess - Duration: 11:09.

Hey, I'm Hamish Black and this is Writing on Games and I guess we're in LA

for E3 or something. That's weird.

Yeah, weird is the right word for it.

Since blagging a couple of media passes for the show this year, it's been hard to contain

both my excitement and general bewilderment.

E3 has always held a kind of magical quality for me and I've dreamed of going since I

was a kid.

On the other hand, I was also aware that I'd be covering one of the strangest years in

the show's over two-decade long history.

See, E3's importance has increasingly been brought into question over the years.

Publishers have been pulling out of the show due to high booth prices and the fact that

they can control the message by selling directly to people rather than going through some industry/media-focused

event.

It seems that every year

now people are asking the question – will this be the last E3?

E3 has seen this decline coming, and in a bid to maintain their reputation as the number

one gaming convention... thing, they've opened their doors to anyone willing

to pay the $250 price tag, giving publishers a reason to come back to the show.

So the downside, according to a number of industry vets, is that nothing about the way the show is laid out has changed

to accommodate the extra 15000 people coming through the doors.

There were reports on day one that they had to open the show early because the people

queueing in the street was deemed a hazard.

That's kinda wild.

That said, E3 has always been about the experience over all else for me.

The idea of going to the conference in this transition year to end all transition years

excited me far more than the prospect of playing unreleased games.

Me being the masochist that I am, I was super into experiencing that chaos first hand.

Little did I know, however, that what would greet us would be something this bad.

A convention entirely unequipped to deal with the extra bodies being dumped on it, an ESA

entirely ignorant to the real problems they were causing, all culminating in a show that

had me and many others asking the question – how could this possibly be a worthwhile

experience for a paying public?

This conundrum first became apparent the moment we got to the Convention Centre on day one.

Arriving in what we thought was good time led to us being angrily sent to the back of

the queue which stretched down one long block, then folded back on itself several times.

A sea of yellow laminate greeted us – the indicator of a paying public badge holder,

as opposed to the clear holders for media badges.

I couldn't imagine that hour-long wait was the best first impression if you'd just

dropped $250 on a pass.

Don't get me wrong though, once we did get in it was hard not to get caught up in the

grandeur of it all; the monoliths of a culture you've idolised your entire life standing

proudly before you.

At first glance it's a beautifully maximalist experience, the perfect snapshot of

excess - everything is loud and bright and colourful enough to distract from the

fact that you're essentially being advertised at from every angle.

It's exactly how I imagined both E3, and America in general, as a kid.

Then we realised just how unprepared the convention was to deal with a newly formed mass of people

stampeding through it, and the charm wore off fast.

People were having to line up in order to join other lines while not knowing where those

lines led, a number of demos had wait times of up to five hours, people were cutting and

bumping into each other constantly and generally not really knowing what to do.

The public were even queuing up for unbelievable amounts of time just to get into the merch

stores to get... tote bags I guess.

It was a total mess which also led to a number of people raising legitimate safety and security

concerns regarding the event.

And just trust me on this – if you're anxious of crowds, stay the hell away from E3.

Not only did they make getting any work done impossible without retreating to the bunker

of a news room provided for media, as someone with anxiety it took a lot for me not to run

the hell away.

I couldn't exactly blame the public for this, however.

There are only so many demo booths, the convention centre only open for so long, which meant

you had to constantly make truly tough decisions as to what lines were worth waiting in, and

even that didn't guarantee you'd get to see the game before they closed everything

down.

I'm willing to bet that if a member of the public got their hands on four games in a

day, they were LUCKY.

Then there were the cavalcade of signs informing people that the queues were full – imagine

paying $250 to get into the convention and being told you didn't even have the privilege

of waiting in line?!

It was madness.

It all led to a real "look but don't touch" atmosphere, where the scale and splendour

of everything was right there in front of you, but the option paralysis of choosing

which line to spend hours waiting made it all feel eerily distant; like you were there

but you also weren't.

The only reason we got to see as many games as we did in those first couple of days was

because, as media, we'd been able to set up appointments with publishers – something

the public didn't get to do.

We'd avoid the queues and get looked after by PR without the usual time constraints associated

with demos on the show floor.

One particular spot we visited on day 2 had free food and beer, readily available games

in air conditioned trailers, and all after we'd seen a bunch of disappointed public

badges get hurriedly turned away.

It legitimately made me feel bad – we were getting this hugely preferential treatment

precisely because we didn't pay to be there.

And we spent a lot of time there, because it meant we didn't have to squeeze through

the aimless crowds.

Nothing about this setup says "this is a worthwhile purchase for the public."

By day 3, we were honestly kinda over it.

We slept in, I got some writing done, anything felt more productive and less panic-inducing

than navigating that crowd again.

However, as we solemnly prepared to brave the killing fields one last time, we realised

that the show floor's population was noticeably thinner.

Whether that was the public getting a better grasp on how to navigate the show floor or whether they just got tired

and abandoned it altogether doesn't change the fact that what was once an asphyxiating mess

of bodies was now far easier to deal with.

The person managing the line for Mario Odyssey, one of the most popular booths, gleefully

informed us of the 25-minute wait.

It totally turned out to be way more than 25 minutes, but hey, an hour in line was certainly

better than the upwards of three hours seen previously.

People seemed happy and everything felt… calmer.

It seemed something had clicked with Nintendo's staff in particular, realising the popularity

of their booth, finding ways to better demarcate lines and more efficiently herd us as cattle,

as opposed to the comparative free-for-all that characterised previous days.

And it was with this room to breathe that you started to get a little bit of clarity

on things – it made me think, even for a brief second, that despite the mess we'd seen

previously, maybe there was a way to make this work.

Whether the solution is a media only day like with Gamescom or simply better organising

organising lines, it was clear that the problem wasn't the fact the public was there, just that nothing

was done to accommodate them.

I got a chance to talk to some of the public in line that day and honestly, the prevailing

attitude was one of cautious optimism.

It's important to remember that at the end of the day, there's a reason these people

bought those tickets – E3 still holds a sense of prestige for a lot of people.

The idea that they'd be able to get into this once-secret club; to actually be inside

the place where everything is being revealed.

Hell, they got to play the new Mario before most other people

that holds real value to some.

Would I say that their optimism is misplaced?

Probably.

It's hard to tell if it's genuine or merely an attempt to justify an expensive purchase.

Would I say that they deserved better for the price tag?

Absolutely, and the ESA's reticence to accept that their approach led to real problems is

going to sink the show in years to come.

And it's not like the ESA is going to change their approach too drastically here – they

made buck off the public this year, so the public will always be at E3.

If the media abandon the show, so be it; it might lose a little of the prestige that made

people buy a ticket in the first place, but hey, maybe that's just where the show is headed.

Would I go next year? Sure, despite it being difficult at times,

it was as chaotic an experience as I kinda wanted it to be. I also don't have to pay for a ticket.

If it remains a bad fan convention as it was this year, however, then they've lost both

the original purpose of the show AND driven away their one potential lifeline.

That's something you can't exactly bounce back from.

So I hope you enjoyed my second piece on E3.

I may have another, more game-centric video on E3 planned, but otherwise regular programming

will resume very soon.

I have to thank the best dude on the planet/podcast host Nico for filming the footage you saw

in this video and generally making it possible for me to attend the show.

Katy Perry Has A Pretty Strange Love Life - Duration: 5:01.

Although Katy Perry tries to keep her private life mostly private, the pop starlet has gone

through some very public hook-ups and breakups that have many fans scratching their heads.

The "Roar" singer may be on top of the world in terms of fame and fortune, but when it

comes to matters of the heart, she seems to have trouble finding a man who measures up.

Here are some of the weirdest aspects of Katy Perry's relationship history.

Walking on Air

Back when Katy Perry was still going by her birth name, Kathryn Hudson, she dated Relient

K frontman Matt Thiessen for three years and dove headlong into that relationship. As in,

during one of their cover performances of Eminem's "Lose Yourself," she did a stage

dive into the crowd, and it did not end well for her. Clips of the embarrassing incident

still circulate the web to showcase just how strange the singer can behave in the name

of love.

Circle the Drain

Before becoming a household name, Katy Perry dated actor Johnny Lewis from 2005 to 2006.

In 2012, Lewis died after falling from a roof — but not before he allegedly beat his landlady

to death and killed and dismembered her cat. Yes, really. Lewis reportedly suffered from

drug addiction, and sources told the site that he may have been under the influence

of methamphetamine or PCP at the time of the incident.

Perry was reportedly "devastated" by Lewis' death. A source told US Weekly, "She had to

separate from him … to get ahead and focus on her career. He was in trouble then and

she couldn't help him. A lot of her songs were partially inspired by him."

"You have a situation that's out of your hands, like you can't change someone. Someone won't

change unless they want to be changed."

Among the songs that were supposedly devoted to his memory were "The One That Got Away"

and "Circle the Drain."

Hot n Cold

Perry and her first public boyfriend, Travis "Travie" McCoy, were serious enough to have

promise rings. They dated for more than two years, even making appearances in one another's

music videos. Given all that history, imagine his surprise when she dumped him over email

in May 2009.

He said, "[The email] started off with 'I love you so much I hate to do this, blah blah

blah.' Someone that you are ready to spend the rest of your life with sends you a f**king

email just s**ting on your whole parade. It destroyed me."

Of course, Perry did have her reasons for letting him go.

"I basically broke down. I chose drugs over our relationship"

But that poor form of saying goodbye would come back to haunt her later on in life.

Dark Horse

A little over two years after she dumped McCoy over email, Perry got a taste of her own digital

medicine when her then-husband Russell Brand told Perry he wanted a divorce via text message.

She revealed to Vogue, "[he is] a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married

him. Let's just say I haven't heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing

me December 31, 2011."

And that wasn't the only oddity about her marriage to Brand, either.

Perry also told Vogue that her intensive tour schedule for Teenage Dream was a factor in

her divorce from Brand, but that there were also some unnamed, sinister elements at play

as well, saying:

"He didn't like the atmosphere of me being the boss on tour. So that was really hurtful,

and it was very controlling, which was upsetting. I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending,

but then I found out the real truth, which I can't necessarily disclose because I keep

it locked in my safe for a rainy day. I let go and I was like: This isn't because of me;

this is beyond me. So, I have moved on from that."

Some suspected he may have been unfaithful to her after one of Perry's best friends,

Markus Molinari, name-checked him in a tweet about infidelity. But for his part, Brand

has adamantly denied any philandering during the brief marriage.

Chained to the Rhythm

If you're starting to notice a pattern with the type of guys Katy Perry has been with,

it's because there is one. Her most high-profile relationships have consistently been with

guys that have bad reputations, and her on-and-off romance with John Mayer was no exception.

The two experienced a roller coaster romance that spanned several years, several breakups,

and even a musical collaboration, and their shared stage history seemed like a winning

combination for both.

"We have a lot of fun, you know, we have music as an understanding and love between each

other and we connect."

But it was her words about her attraction to Mayer that explained so much about her

overall history with men.

During one of their "off" moments, she told Vogue Magazine, "I was madly in love with

him. I still am madly in love with him. All I can say about that relationship is that

he's got a beautiful mind. Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why

I am attracted to these broken birds."

The two split, seemingly for good, in 2015, but he's since been writing songs about her

so don't count this celeb duo out of the tabloid equation just yet.

Unconditionally

Although Katy Perry and John Mayer may have some unfinished business, she did date actor

Orlando Bloom for a bit after her break-up with Mayer. And, like most of her relationships

before it, the hook-up was filled with publicized drama.

The two had been together for just one month before she met his son with ex-wife Miranda

Kerr, Flynn, which seemed fast to outsiders. But if she thought they were serious, he reportedly

did not.

A source close to Orlando Bloom told People that he was "still keeping his options open"

throughout his entire year-long relationship with Perry. Another source told Radar Online

that "Orlando never changed his ways with hanging out with other women [during the relationship].

He would still continue to hang out with his actor buddies and there were always a ton

of sexy women around."

Bloom was even photographed in some compromising positions with other ladies before he and

Perry announced their breakup, proving, once again, that she sure knows how to pick 'em.

Mutual Funds Vs Stocks - Duration: 5:17.

are you wondering about mutual funds

versus stock funds when figuring out

about investing I am going to share the

difference in those two strategies in

this video hi I am Camille Gaines I am

founder financial woman but I have been

personally investing for over 30 years

and here I share and teach about what

I have learned over those 30 years with

investing my own money now what I want

to share with you in this video is

information about mutual funds versus

stocks individual stocks because a lot

of people when they think about starting

to invest they the first hurdle they

come to is should I buy a mutual fund or

should I actively invest in stocks so I

want to point out some pros and cons of

each of those in this video first of all

what is a mutual fund well investors

pull their money together and in an

active and manager or a team of managers

pick stocks for that fund now having

said that is not always the case

because a lot of mutual funds invest

simply in an index and you may have seen

my other videos about index investing if

not you will want to watch those but an

index an index mutual fund simply buys

the stocks that are in that index so

you have probably heard of the S&P 500

that is an index but that is not what I am

going to talk about here I want to talk

about mutual funds versus individual

stocks because I find that that is where

a lot of people get caught up in

investing or they get they are unclear

about where to go with that so a mutual

fund as I say can be active or passive a

lot of people make the mistake of

thinking that it can not be but it can be

either one actively managed or passively

managed so when it is actively managed

you got that that fund manager or team

of managers picking stocks for you they

are going around the globe possibly to

visit companies they are they have got a

whole research department that is behind

them providing research so they can pick

the best stocks for their for their

investors in the

fun so that is a huge advantage having

that big research team having said that

mutual funds become so huge that

sometimes they are at a disadvantage from

what an individual investor can do on

their own beyond the research simply

because an individual investor is easily

able to buy and sell stocks because

they are simply buying a smaller volume

you can imagine how hard it is for a

company of fund rather that has ten

billion dollars in a stock fund to buy

and sell in and out of a stock position

those stocks prices are going to move

because simply because that fund is

buying and selling so that's one

advantage that an individual stock

picker can have over a mutual fund now

as I said a disadvantage is that they are

not going to have that whole research

team that is backing them and helping

them pick out stocks that meet their

criteria now I would say that if you are

interested in buying your own stocks

then I think that you really have to

like research and you have to like

analysis not only that I think that you

have to have an interest in the

financial news in staying on top of

what is going on in general in the

financial markets because most stocks

move depending on where the overall

market is moving it's not so much

picking the right stock anymore as it is

you know picking the timing as to when

you invest in certain types of

investments such as stocks so that's

something to really be aware of so in

addition to liking to research and

liking to analyze stocks you have to

also be wanting to stay on top of the

financial market and follow the

financial news to see how those

companies are doing in any sector that

you have chosen so that is what I wanted to

share with you in this video I am NOT a

financial advisor I do not meaning I

simply do not manage

for other people I teach people about

investing so they are empowered to make

choices around how they invest whether

that is on their own or with a financial

advisor or through a mutual fund and I

have a more holistic approach that goes

way beyond simply investing so that is

what I wanted to share with you in this

video while also explain to you I am not

telling you where to invest

I am just educating you on the

differences between mutual funds versus

stocks and that is what I want to share

with you here this is all based on my

own experience and research over the

past three plus decades if you like this

information be sure to like it and

subscribe to my channel so you do not

miss my other videos thanks for watching

Exploring the Rhodope Moutains [VLOG 5 in Bulgaria] - Duration: 11:25.

Hi everyone, today we're in Asenovgrad.

It's a small town located near Plovdiv,

about 20 kilometres I think.

We rented this car

to come here in Asenovgrad

because it's hard to take public transports to this town.

Behind me, we can see the mountains.

It's really a great view.

The landscape here is beautiful.

But our goal is to go to Asen's fortress

which is a well known attraction,

a historical landmark to visit.

Asenovgrad is well known

for the great number of shops

that sells wedding dresses

It's here that most of Bulgarian wedding dresses are made.

A lot of women come here to buy their dresses

they come from everywhere in Bulgaria

because there's a lot of choice here

and also because it's usually cheaper.

Now we're at Asen's fortress.

It's located at 279 metres above sea level

and according to what we found, the first people who lived there

were Thracians.

They were an old barbarian people

who used to live in Bulgaria.

Behind me there's the only remnant

which has been rebuilt.

It's the Church of the Holy Mother of God.

But it was part of a much bigger fortress

which had walls of 3 metres of height for 2.9 metres of depth.

Sadly, there are no walls anymore, only ruins

and this church which is quite new

as it has been rebuilt in the 20th century.

We're still not on the top of the fortress

we're getting there.

But even from here, the view is stunning.

It's really impressive.

There's the church here behind me.

Now we're going to the top.

While we're there, on this beautiful mountain

even though you probably can't see because of the camera angle

let's talk about our last buy

it's a very small book.

On this book,

there are a hundred tourist attractions

in Bulgaria.

The goal is to have all of them stamped

each time you visit them

When we have visited all of them,

we are rewarded with a gold medal.

This is what we did today.

Our very first landmark.

I hope we'll be able to visit all of them

we'll see !

It's a good start, 1 out of 100!

*autistic screeching*

Now, we're at the Bachkovo Monastery.

It's not far from Asen's fortress

we drove for 10 to 15 minutes.

I think it will be the same landscape

there's the same mountains at least

I hope the monastery won't disappoint us.

I don't think so

We're inside the monastery

it's the second biggest in Bulgaria

it's 8 kilometres from Asenovgrad.

During the 14th century, it's a big cultural centre

a literary movement is even created here.

Sadly it is sacked by the Ottomans

when they conquered Bulgaria

in the end of the 14th century.

While Bulgaria is under Turkish rule,

it was a stronghold of Bulgarian language and culture.

because the kept a lot of Bulgarian manuscripts

and they tried to keep the language and the culture alive.

Inside the monastery, there are three churches

and an ossuary

and the dining room has frescos

that were done in 1846

and that tell the story of the monastery

since it has been created.

We were about to go home

but we found this nature reserve

there should be a waterfall in 30 minutes

we're going to check it out.

It might be in less than 30 minutes

because there should be a fountain in 10 minutes

but we're already there even though we have walked for 2 minutes.

Maybe we'll be at the waterfall in 5 minutes

and then we'll see what we do.

Day 52

we're still hiking

we're starting to run low on water.

We're tired.

We haven't eaten in four days.

I think about starting to eat Dari.

just a little piece.

We can hear the watefall

We arrived at a crossroads earlier

that was badly indicated

I wanted to go on the path that went down

and we took the path going up as Dari wanted.

And we're hearing the waterfall so maybe we took the right path

I was right!

We don't know that yet

but I hope you were right.

We have arrived at last!

And here is the waterfall behind me.

I'm going to check how cold is the water

It's super cold!

It's good after the sun we had before.

It's our last evening in Plovdiv.

And we are eating

I hope the owners won't see what Corentin is doing

with their plates

Corentin

tell our friends what you fed the cat.

Some delicious Houmous.

Do you think that cats like houmous?

It looks like he enjoyed it.

Do you like houmous?

Yes, you do?

Parti Pris - Neil Luna - Duration: 2:44.

I would've done everything for you

Just show you how much I adore you

But it's over now, it's too late to save our love

Just promise me you'll think of me everytime you look up in the sky and see a star 'cause...

To me, you were a story — nah, you were a fairy tale that came to life

But trust me, I know that you're not

I was stuck on your ground thinking I found

the sweetest of treats but they all warned me about you

that beneath your smiles, bright and dauntless,

is a field of ivy and springs of toxic

AND WHY THE HELL WOULD I CHOOSE POISON?!

Your voice made me hear the footsteps of sunrise

in the midst of what once was a paradise

yet your hands were too small to carry it with you

dropping the love that you deserve

The world warned me about you.

I was living in fantasy —no, I was living in a sugarcoated reality

where I made myself believe that you would stay

when you didn't even arrive, it was a prolonged farewell

you were the answers to my uncertainty

I know that it's confusing

every inch of you, I can only see your beauty

but every inch of you is like suicide

Our world was a room trapping darkness within

you have always been the light as far as I can remember

but I am a mere firefly attracted to your ember

the world warned me that you can't be what I need

but please know that you were not perfection, you were acceptance

every inch of your smile makes me forget the fact

that our lives are parallel just like our lines are meant to mirror each other

but not meet in between

the world warned me that you were far from real love

but to me, I know that your love was real from afar

For I knew that you're love after it's over

'cause everything that comes after does not feel like love at all

you were not just Alice, you were Wonderland

you were more than just a character you are not just a chapter

or a story for your name, it spells every inch of the book

from the cover until its very last word on the blurb

but in my chapters, what I had was love

even if I know that we're not.

I know what we're not.

I know what we'll never be.
