Woman's Financial Advice: Don't Pay Your Bills - Duration: 9:53.AN AUSTRALIAN WEBSITE KNOWN AS MAMMA MIA HAD POSTED AN EXPERT ñ
AN EXCERPT FROM A SOMEWHAT FINANCIAL ADVISORS BOOK.
A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE IN DEBT, SUPER INTERESTING TOPIC, IT
WOULD DEFINITELY SPARK MY INTEREST, BUT THE ADVICE
THAT WAS GIVEN IN THIS PARTICULAR EXCERPT OF THE
BOOK WAS QUESTIONABLE, TO SAY THE LEAST.
THE BOOK WAS WRITTEN BY A WOMAN NAMED SIMONE, AND I JUST
WANT TO GIVE YOU A LITTLE TASTE OF WHAT SHE HAD TO SAY, AND
HOW YOU CAN GET OUT OF DEBT.
LENNY PREFACE THIS BY SAYING THAT SHE JUST RANDOMLY FOUND
HERSELF IN DEBT; SHE HAD ACCUMULATED $187,000 IN DEBT,
BECAUSE SHE WAS TRAVELING THE WORLD, RACKING UP ALL THESE
BILLS, AND SHE SAID, BEFORE I KNOW IT I HAD ALL THIS DEBT AND
I DIDN'T EXPECT IT.
SO SHE WASN'T KEEPING TRACK OF HER FINANCES, WHICH IS A
BAD IDEA, AND IT'S INTERESTING THAT THAT WAS THE STARTING
OFF POINT TO HER GIVING FINANCIAL ADVICE.
BUT SHE GOT OUT OF DEBT IN TWO YEARS, DIFFICULT THING TO
DO, SO WHAT IS EQUITY IS HER ADVICE?
IS WITH THE EXPERT SAID; "IF YOU PAY YOUR BILLS FIRST, YOU
ALWAYS HAVE MORE PILLS.
WHEN YOU PAY THE BILLS FIRST, THE UNIVERSE SAYS, OKAY,
THIS PERSON WISHES TO HONOR THEIR BILLS.
LET'S GIVE THEM MORE BILLS."
SO SHE ARGUES THAT YOU SHOULD SAVE 10%
OF WHAT YOU MAKE, BUT YOU SHOULDN'T SAVE IT WITH THE
INTENTION OF USING THAT MONEY TO PAY YOUR BILLS, YOU SHOULD
SAVE IT WITH THE INTENTION OF HONORING YOURSELF.
BECAUSE IF YOU WANT TO YOURSELF, THE UNIVERSE WILL HONOR YOU.
I'M NOT KIDDING, THAT'S WHAT SHE SAYS.
SO SHE HAS THIS THEORY, I GUESS ñ OR HYPOTHESIS ñ THAT IF YOU
JUST THINK POSITIVELY ABOUT YOUR FINANCES, THEN GOOD THINGS WILL
HAPPEN.
WHICH IS INCREDIBLY INSULTING TO PEOPLE WHO ARE STRUGGLING WITH
THEIR FINANCES, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT PAID ENOUGH, THEY ARE
DEALING WITH STAGNANT WAGES, ALL THE THINGS WE TALK ABOUT ON
THE SHOW REGULARLY.
LET ME GIVE YOU SOME MORE.
THE NEXT THING SHE OFFERS IS THAT YOU SHOULD CARRY AROUND
THE AMOUNT OF CASH THAT YOU THINK A RICH PERSON WOULD CARRY.
HERE IS AN EXACT QUOTE FROM HER; "I LIKE TO HAVE AT LEAST
$1000 ON THE AT ALL TIMES.
I LIKE TO HAVE A BOTTLE OF WATER WITH ME AT ALL TIMES.
I LIKE TO HAVE A COLD BOTTLE OF WINE IN THE FRIDGE AT HOME."
THAT IS A WEIRD ACCOMMODATION OF SENTENCES, BUT NONETHELESS,
DON'T WALK AROUND WITH $1000 IN YOUR PURSE, OR YOUR POCKET, THAT
IS A DISASTROUS IDEA.
SO, I HAVE A VERY STRONG HYPOTHESIS ON THIS.
SHE IS EITHER COMPLETELY LYING ABOUT EVERYTHING AND TRYING TO
GET ATTENTION, OR SHE IS A RICH, CLUELESS, ENTITLED ASS.
THE ONLY THING THAT IS AGAINST THAT HYPOTHESIS IS THAT QUOTE
THAT ANA JUST READ YOU, BECAUSE HER VISION OF RICH PEOPLE IS
THAT THEY HAVE A COLD BOTTLE OF WINE IN THE FRIDGE, AND THAT
THEY ALWAYS CARRY A BOTTLE OF WATER WITH THEM.
WHEN DID I BECOME A RICH FOR SOMETHING?
AND THAT THEY HAVE $1000 IN THEIR POCKET.
BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO DEFEND HER.
WHAT?
GIVE IT SOME TIME.
I WILL NOT, I WILL ATTACK HER MORE VICIOUSLY.
OKAY, WELL ONE OF US LOOKED INTO THE STORY MORE THAN THE
OTHER, THAT'S WHY I'M GOING TO DEFEND HER, BUT FIRST LET
ME GET INTO WHAT HAS GOTTEN HER ñ WHAT HAS GOTTEN YOU ñ
GOT HER MORE CRITICISM.
SHE SAYS, "IF YOU AVOID HAVING MONEY ON YOU OR IN YOUR
LIFE BECAUSE YOU THINK WILL YOU WILL LOSE IT WHERE IT WILL
BE STOLEN FROM YOU, YOU WILL NEVER HAVE ENOUGH MONEY AT ALL."
SHE SAYS, "TO HAVE MONEY YOU MUST SPEND MONEY ON THINGS OF
INTENSIVE VALUE, SUCH AS GOLD, SILVER, PLATINUM, DIAMONDS
AND/OR PEARLS."
THIS IS DISASTROUS ADVICE.
I KNOW SOMEONE WHO, DURING THE FINANCIAL COLLAPSE, WAS
ABSOLUTELY WORRIED ABOUT THE VALUE OF MONEY, SO SHE
DECIDED TO SPEND ALL HER MONEY ON DIAMONDS OR SOMETHING,
AND YOU HAVE NO MONEY NOW, AND BY THE WAY, I KNOW FROM
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WHEN I TRIED TO SELL JEWELRY THAT MY EX GAVE
ME, YOU DON'T GET A LOT OF MONEY BACK WHEN YOU SELL THAT STUFF.
OF COURSE YOU DON'T!
LOOK, IT'S ONE THING TO SAY, BUY GOLD.
IT'S QUESTIONABLE, BECAUSE IT DEPENDS ON HOW THE GOLD
MARKET IS DOING, BUT IT COULD WORK, THE MARKET COULD GO UP.
IT'S ANOTHER THING TO SAY, BUY PEARLS.
THAT IS NOT A GOOD INVESTMENT ENTITY.
AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT, DIAMONDS DON'T HAVE GOOD RESALE VALUE.
I TOTALLY BELIEVE THAT.
THERE WAS AN INTERVIEW THAT SHE HAD DONE WITH A LOCAL
TELEVISION STATION, AND SHE SAID TO OTHER THINGS THAT I
THOUGHT WERE A LITTLE QUESTIONABLE.
SO SHE SAYS, "IF YOU WERE BROUGHT UP IN THE MIDDLE
CLASS YOU FEEL, TROUBLE IN THE MIDDLE CLASS."
SHE ALSO SAID, "IF YOU WERE BROUGHT UP WITH POVERTY, YOU
FEEL TROUBLE WITH THAT."
MMM...
DISAGREE.
IF SHE IS NOT A SUPER CLUELESS RICH PERSON, I WILL BE
REALLY SURPRISED.
I HAVE OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE OF THAT IN A SECOND, BUT GO AHEAD.
SO, I ñ LOOK, I THINK IT'S UNFAIR TO TAKE A PORTION OF A
BOOK, AND THEN DRAW A CONCLUSION ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT, YOU KNOW,
THE ENTIRE BOOK IS TERRIBLE AND JUST GIVES BAD ADVICE.
I THINK THAT, UNFORTUNATELY, THEY USE POSSIBLY THE WORST
EXCERPT.
I HOPE IT'S THE WORST EXCERPT, JESUS I HOPE THERE'S A
WORSE IN THERE.
RIGHT, BECAUSE I WAS CURIOUS TO SEE HOW PEOPLE FELT AFTER
READING HER BOOK.
AND SO I WENT BACK, LOOKED AT REVIEWS FROM BEFORE THE
STORY EVER BROKE TO SEE WHAT PEOPLE THOUGHT OF IT, AND A
LOT OF PEOPLE THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT BOOK, THAT IT
ACTUALLY DID CHANGE THEIR LIVES AND IT DID HELP THEM.
THE REASON I'M BRINGING THAT UP ñ
AND MAYBE THIS ISN'T REALLY A DEFENSE, BECAUSE I DON'T
REALLY KNOW ñ BECAUSE NONE OF US HAVE READ HER ENTIRE BOOK,
SO I FEEL REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE TOUCHING HER BASED ONLY ON THIS.
YEAH, SHE SAID CLOWNISH THINGS, BUT GUESS WHAT?
EVERYONE HAS SAID CLOWNISH THINGS, INCLUDING THE TWO
PEOPLE SITTING AT THIS DESK RIGHT NOW.
AGREE TO DISAGREE.
SO I JUST THINK, HOLD.
BEFORE YOU MAKE A JUDGMENT CALL.
I'M NOT GOING TO HOLD, NO.
I'M SUPPOSED TO READ HER CLOWN BOOK?
YEAH!
YEAH.
I'M NOT GOING TO READ HER BOOK BEFORE EVERY STORY NOW.
IF YOU SAID TO ME, THERE'S A BOOK, AND THERE'S A SECTION IN
THERE ABOUT HOW THE JEWS RULE THE WORLD AND HOW THEY STARTED
ALL THE WARS, WITH THE REST OF IT MIGHT BE GOOD.
I'M NOT GOING TO READ THE REST OF THE BOOK.
I LIKE HOW YOU WENT TO THE MOST EXTREME EXAMPLE.
I KNOW, TO MAKE A POINT.
BUT HER POSITION IN THESE EXCERPTS ARE SO
INDEFENSIBLE, I WOULD NEVER WASTE ANOTHER SECOND
READING ANY OTHER PORTION OF THE BOOK.
SO SHE SAYS, SHE WASN'T EVEN COME A QUOTE, COGNITIVELY
SURE HOW SHE GOT INTO DEBT.
WHY DON'T YOU JUST PRINT A BOOK SAYING, "I'M DUMB"?
HER DEBT WAS $187,000,
AND YOU WANT COGNITIVELY SURE HOW YOU GOT THERE?
I KNOW, BUT I THINK FIRST OF ALL, THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE
WHO FIND THEMSELVES IN DEBT, AND I DON'T THINK THEY ARE STUPID, I
THINK THAT IT'S ACTUALLY INCREDIBLE EASY TO FIND YOURSELF
IN DEBT WITHOUT EVEN REALIZING THE TROUBLE THAT YOUR ñ
OR THE WHOLE THAT YOU ARE DIGGING YOURSELF INTO.
A LOT OF PEOPLE FIND THEMSELVES IN THAT SITUATION, I DON'T
THINK THEY ARE STUPID.
BUT ANA, IT'S A MATTER OF CONTEXT.
IF YOU ARE IN $18,000
WORTH OF DEBT, IT'S ONE THING AND IS STRESSING YOU OUT
BUT I THINK SHE WAS INSANELY RICH ALREADY, OR I DON'T HOW SHE
GOT THE MONEY BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T EARN IT, SHE'S A TOTAL CLOWN.
YOU DON'T KNOW THAT THOUGH.
I DO, LOOK AT THE QUOTES!
LET ME FINISH.
SHE SAYS, I WOULD DEFINITELY GO AWAY FOR A WEEKEND, OR BY A NICE
BOTTLE OF CHAMPAGNE.
I DIDN'T LIVE FROM A MENTALITY OF LACK.
YOU DON'T LIVES LIKE THAT?
RICH PEOPLE.
NEXT THING YOU KNOW YOU'RE IN THE HOLE FOR $187,000.
AND WHEN SHE FOUND OUT, SHE WENT, QUOTE, OOPS!
I'M $107,000 IN DEBT.
IF YOU ARE AN AVERAGE PERSON IN THIS COUNTRY, OR ANY
COUNTRY, AND YOU FIND YOURSELF IN THAT DEBT, YOU ARE NOT
THAT WHAT ABOUT IT BECAUSE YOU HAVE JUST DESTROYED YOUR LIFE.
AND THEN SHE SAYS, SHE DOESN'T HOW SHE GOT OUT OF DEBT.
THE WHOLE POINT OF THE BOOK IS, I'M SUCH A FINANCIAL GENIUS.
HOLD ON, THAT'S NOT TRUE.
SHE DIDN'T SAY, I DON'T KNOW HOW I GOT OUT OF DEBT, SHE JUST
SAID SHE HAD POSITIVE THINKING.
DURING HER INTERVIEW WITH THAT BOX STATION IN DENVER, SHE
TALKED ABOUT WHAT SHE DID TO GET OUT OF DEBT.
SHE THOUGHT OUTSIDE OF THE BOX, SHE THOUGHT ABOUT CREATING
THINGS FOR DIFFERENT BUSINESSES THAT ENDED UP MAKING HER A
LOT OF MONEY.
LOOK, THE REASON WHY I'M BRINGING THIS ALL UP IS BECAUSE
MY GUESS ñ AND AGAIN, IT'S A GUESS BECAUSE I HAVEN'T READ HER
ENTIRE BOOK ñ HER BOOK PROBABLY GOES INTO THE OUT-OF-THE-BOX
SOLUTIONS THAT SHE FOUND TO GET HERSELF OUT OF DEBT, AND EVEN
THOUGH THIS EXCERPT SAYS SAVE 10% OF YOUR INCOME, BUT DID
HONOR YOURSELF AND NOT PAY YOUR BILLS, OBVIOUSLY SHE PAID HER
BILLS BECAUSE SHE GOT HERSELF OUT OF THAT DEBT.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?
YOU JUST TOLD THE UNIVERSE THAT YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY UNDER THE
$7000 IN BILLS, THE UNIVERSE IS GOING TO GIVE YOU MORE BILLS.
SHE CONTRADICTS HERSELF.
BECAUSE SHE'S A MORON!

Not My Fault The Customer is Mad - Duration: 8:32.Hi there, I'm Angela Brown in this is Ask a House Cleaner.
This is a show where you get to ask a house cleaning question
and I get to help you find an answer.
Today's question comes from a house cleaner who is livid.
She's super upset because she spent 4 hours at a customer's house.
And when she was done the customer was not happy.
The customer refused to pay her and she was very upset about the way
the house cleaner cleaned.
So the house cleaner comes away, she's all ticked off.
She's angry.
"It's the customer's fault!"
"The customer ruined my day… this that and the other."
And she's very defensive.
Okay, so when this happens, the question from this woman is
"What am I supposed to do now?
Can I take her to small claims court?
Because I threatened her.
Okay, so what I want you to consider is this; as a business owner, you have a lot of options.
And because you chose a service business you're going to run into a lot of unhappy customers
along your journey.
I don't know why but there are a lot of different types of customers that are out there.
There are a lot of different personalities that are out there.
And a person yelling at you does not necessarily mean that you did a bad job.
It's very possible that they just got in a fight with their spouse, you just happened
to walk through the room, and they took all that out on you.
A lot of times it doesn't have anything to do with you whatsoever.
And once the dust settles and that person is able to collect their thoughts, it might
be a different scenario.
Where they come back and they apologize and they pay you, I don't know.
But there will be a whole bunch of opportunities for customer service
in the house cleaning business.
So, having said that, think of it as a ballgame.
A customer is angry and they toss you a ball.
What do you do?
Do you catch the ball or do you step aside and let the ball fly right by you?
That's the question and here's why.
If you catch the ball you have choices.
You can hold on to it and think "Okay, this customer is really angry.
How am I going to resolve this?"
You can toss it right back to him and say; "Hey, wait a second.
I offer a satisfaction guarantee.
Let me come back and make the job right."
Or you can take the ball and you can spin it, and you can play with it, and you can
walk it over to a neighbor and say "Hey I need some advice, what do I do here?"
But as long as you've caught that ball you're in control.
If you step aside and you let it fly by you,
that ball flies right by you and it hits the ground.
When it hits the ground you no longer have control of the situation
and neither does your customer.
If somebody throws something at you, you have a choice to catch it.
My suggestion to you is always choose to catch that ball
because once you catch it you're still in control.
If you let it fly by you you're not in control at all and neither is your customer.
So, when you have a customer type of scenario catch the ball.
Okay, now what do you do with the ball once you have it?
Well, because you have the ball you're in control.
And so, you can go back to the customer and say,
"Hey listen I know you're not happy.
I don't want to see you unhappy because I'm a business owner.
I base my living, off of my reputation, and so I want you
to have an excellent customer experience.
What do I have to do to make this situation correct?"
And you can give them an option.
You can throw the ball back at them.
You can have them help you be part of the solution.
Or if they're not willing to talk and they're just really upset and
they're not thinking clearly.
You can come back and say "here's what I'm prepared to do…" and you can offer solutions.
But you can do that as long, and only as long as you're holding the ball.
If you're in control of the situation you get to choose what happens next.
If you let the ball fly by you, you don't get to choose.
This is not your game anymore; the game has stopped.
And so, between you and the customer you either get fired or the customer bad-mouths you on
social media or whatever.
Now we live in a world where everything you say can last for infinity.
Thanks to the internet and social media and screenshots and sharing and all these things.
Those are the things that promote you and those are the things that bring you down.
So you have a choice always choose always choose to catch the ball.
Okay, now let's say that you get in a situation where the customers really upset
and you're really upset.
Stop.
Stop.
Take a really deep breath.
I invite you all to take a really deep breath.
Get the oxygen flowing to your brain.
And then when you are able to slow down long enough, you can start
thinking through your options.
When you stop take a couple of steps back remove yourself from the big picture.
And as you look back on this scenario what do you see?
Who are you talking to?
Are you talking to someone from a different culture?
Because if you are, you grew up in two separate parts of the world.
You grew up with two different sets of beliefs.
You group with two different sets of ideals.
How on earth is it that you expect that you're going to see eye-to-eye?
There are some common discrepancies between people.
Are you speaking to someone who's twice your age?
Because if you are you're speaking to someone who has a whole
lot more life experience than you do.
And so how would you expect to see eye-to-eye if there's a 30-year age gap between you and
the person that you're speaking with?
You come from two completely different generations.
Of course, there's going to be a discrepancy.
That's just the common law of nature, right?
So, if you can take a step backwards and say "Wow wait a second, this customer is seeing
something I'm not seeing."
You can choose to be informed and say "Hey listen, my generation doesn't understand what
this is that you're telling me.
Can you explain it to me so as a business owner I now can move forward with the information
you're sharing with me?"
Because it might be true that a particular generation has a particular work ethic and
a younger generation doesn't have that same work ethic.
And so, if they can explain that to you and they can explain to you what their expectations
are, it's possible that you can incorporate the things that they share with you.
And you can toss that ball back and stay in business.
And not just toss the ball back to them, but to the other customers that are from that
same generation.
Does that make sense?
You want to always choose to be informed.
When someone comes to you and they're angry, this is going to sound really counterintuitive.
But when someone comes to you and they're angry,
this is an opportunity for you to expand your horizons.
There are so many different people in the world.
So many different personalities, so many different generations and different upbringings, and
different cultures.
There's so much as business owners we can learn.
And if you choose to use that as an opportunity to learn and improve, it can take your business
so far above the other people that you're competing with in your marketplace.
They're like "well, is not my fault.
She's a bad customer.
I'm just going to leave and walk away."
No. don't leave and walk away.
Jump in the line of fire and catch that ball.
Go back to the customer and say "Hey listen, you're not happy.
I don't like it when you're not happy.
Can you share with me how I can fix this and make this right?"
And learn from that opportunity, because if you catch that ball and you learn from that
opportunity this could skyrocket your business.
Now, I get the fact that you were mistreated.
I get the fact that you didn't get paid.
But this is like you going to college except you don't have the college expense.
You lost whatever the price was of that house cleaning because she didn't pay you.
Right?
So that was an investment in your learning.
This is the School of Hard Knocks and so that was the fee of admission for this lesson.
Most of the lessons are free, but every once in a while, you got to ante up some money
and this was one of those scenarios.
So, don't look at as like I lost the money and it's the customer's fault and I'm all
angry and all these things.
Don't do that because when you do that you're stepping aside and you're letting that ball
fly right by you.
And now the game is over.
You'll learn nothing, you're not in control, and you lost your customer.
Alright so that's my tip for today.
I hope that helps just a little bit.
Please keep me posted.
Let me know how this works out because I am interested.
and I do want to hear the ending to this interesting story.
Alright and until we meet again,
leave the world a cleaner place than when you found it.

Fr. Gheorghe Calciu - Miracle in prison on Easter's night - Duration: 5:57.On that Easter morning, I didn't turn with my face to the wall.
There was a prison guard...
If you have ever seen a beautiful devil,
this man was indeed a beautiful devil.
Sure, he was a young country man, a thin boy, tall with blue eyes, absolutely angelic,
with a very nice face, always elegantly dressed, with his uniform on.
Others came less clean. He was always very clean, very elegant.
Yet he had an unexplained cruelty.
I couldn't understand; how could someone who had such masculine and angelic beauty
be so cruel?
If this man didn't beat 5 to 6 detainees in his service,
he probably wouldn't feel well.
And generally, in jail, under terror, under fear,
it is easier to bear your own torture than to hear another person being tortured.
When you heard the shouting...
Most of those beaten were common law prisoners,
because we were few political prisoners.
These men cried out when they were beaten. We said nothing, we never cried out.
But they were yelling and our imagination started working.
Imagining horrible things.
It was such a great spiritual tension,
that you would have preferred if they came to beat you instead,
just so that you could no longer hear the cries of the others.
And this one was one of the people who found pleasure in torturing others.
That morning when he opened the door... I prayed all night to God.
I may have said hundreds, thousands of times:
"Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life".
Thousands of times maybe.
That the truth of the resurrection might enter deep in my mind and heart.
I stood facing the door when he came in, and I said: "Christ is risen!"
The guard looked at me, turned his head and looked at those who were behind him.
He turned back to me and said: "Truly He is risen!"
For me it was like a blow in the head.
And I understood then that it wasn't him who had told me "Truly He is risen!",
but that it was the Lord's angel.
The one, which sitting at the grave, said to the myrrh-bearing women:
"Why do you seek the living among the dead?" He has risen.
Come see the place where He was placed". [Mark 16:6]
Through his mouth the angel confirmed to me the Resurrection,
because I needed this confirmation
and because God wanted to confirm this to me through the mouth of my enemy
the truth of this Resurrection.
My cell was filled with light.
And my joy was so great,
that the 5 to 6 hours until lunch, when food was coming,
were in light and spiritual joy.
I was entrusted to a political colonel of the prison
who had a special treatment for me, in the bad sense of the word, not in the good sense.
The colonel was not a bad man when he was drunk.
When he was sober he was very bad.
Fortunately, he was more drunk than sober.
So I heard him coming down the aisle at 12am.
The aisles had a tremendous resonance.
We heard the steps down the aisle and knew, recognized his steps,
because the ear sharpens and the spirit follows every move,
so we knew who was coming and what his intention for coming would be.
And I thought like in a play.
I said: "I will sit with my back to the wall. I will turn my face towards him, I will look him in the eyes
and I will say "Christ is risen!".
It was no longer what it had been the first time. It was no longer an internal impulse.
It was like a play.
Like I knew what he was going to tell me, like he knew what I was going to tell him,
like we knew each other.
He knew my stubbornness, I knew his capacity,
his lack of imagination, in which you had to react exactly as I knew him.
He opened the door and I told him: "Christ is risen!"
He looked at me and said: "Have you seen Him?"
I said: "Mr Colonel, I did not see Him when He rose,
but I believe in the truth of the Resurrection in the authority of those who saw Him,
in the Apostles, in the disciples, in the martyrs,
in the millions of Christians who have died praising Christ,
be it in torment, or by natural death, but which constitute the guarantee that Christ has risen.
Have you ever seen the North Pole?
But you believe in the authority of scientists.
You haven't seen Marx or Stalin either except in pictures,
but you believe in them through the authority of the communists who speak of them".
The more I talked, the more I argued logically, the more my heart saddened.
The more the light in the cell disappeared.
Because I tried to argue logically, with human logic,
about a truth that shouldn't be argued.
The simple pronouncing of "Christ is risen!" was sufficient
to convince him or to lose him.
And I understand that I made a sin and God had forsaken me.
The angel that told me, "Truly He is risen" was gone, the light had gone from the cell...

Good Instruction Is The Key - Duration: 10:00.My name is Tre Riggins.
I'm from Atlanta, Georgia, but I currently live in the market that I'm doing is in
South Carolina, in Charleston.
And I guess I'm now a little bit, I'm about half way through the six-month, and
it's, it's been, it's been very, very useful, informative.
I'm currently teaching, right now, so I'm not doing it full time.
And it, I'm, I'm putting in the time to make the calls and what not, so it's not
like I'm not getting on the phone call, on the phone calls.
But it is difficult to put all of the pieces together given my schedule.
So it's, it's, we've gotten some memos back.
But nothing has closed yet.
I heard about Joe basically through Ozim and I'm not actually sure how I, how I first
heard about him but I bought some things from him, some of the, the courses and I was in
one of this programs and he talked, he talked about them a lot, how he got his start and,
I kind of wanted to get some information from, I guess, with the source.
So, that's how I found him.
So, I started in Boston, and there was a real estate group there who had AREA, it was really
into apartment complexes and rehabbing and so that's kind of the formula that I started
with.
Buying and selling rehab properties and hopefully flipping that into larger properties.
And I did that for a few years and, you know, we were able to do it.
But it's, it was a lot like having an adult daycare center, and the contractors would
say they would do something and they wouldn't, and just the whole rigmarole of following
up with that, it didn't, again, really fit with my personality.
I didn't enjoy that.
So, I got some information about wholesaling from a different person and it sort of handled
some of the issues of the logistics of it and it freed up a little bit of time.
It was still a little difficult for me to actually make it consistent.
It's like, each one of those had a little step of efficiency from rehabs to wholesaling
to the For Rent Method.
Each one had a little improvement on the last thing that made it a little easier to do.
There was, there were times where, there were gaps in information, I guess.
Joe is very, very thorough.
Sometimes you feel like you're drinking from a water hose because there's so much
information.
But the fact that there is that information and there are so many pieces that are there
for you to refer to it's defin- it, for me, too much information is a lot better than
not enough.
So, that's definitely an aspect that you see in his program.
I still had the issues of not necessarily things being consistent.
You know, I was able to get buyers, or, in one market.
I was able to get sellers in another market.
But it was too rare that I was able to get both sides of the transaction in one market
at the same time.
And so, you know, especially with the automation that Joe provides.
It seems that it's a lot easier to make those things happen.
The automation does make it more consistent.
There's just more information in general that kind of eliminates some of the gaps in
other training.
It's a lot more, not necessarily formulaic, but it seems to be laid out in a very concise
and methodical way.
Whereas, you know, other "gurus" they might have good information but it might be
sporadic and it might, you know, might be out of order, out of sequence and it's kind
of hard to piece all of it together and particularly with the Mentor Program, he's very responsive.
You know, if you have a question, then he, I love the way that he actually, he goes through
your email on his screen and gives you screencast as he's talking to you, make sure that he
addresses all of the issues that you have.
So it's kind of hard for things to fall through the cracks.
Well, one thing that I've already incorporated is his idea of getting a promissory note.
And that's already, some of the things that are in process that I haven't closed yet.
It's made it possible for me to potentially double the down payment that I've gotten.
So instead of getting, I guess it's $3,000 down, I'm getting $3,000 plus another $3,000
on promissory note.
I didn't know that before, you know, Joe's instruction.
You know, I talk a lot.
I talk a lot and I think one of the things that is really helpful about what Joe is providing
right now is guidance on me closing my mouth and listening to what it is that people are
saying to me.
It just, that practice, which I'm not very good at, is, it's a useful thing to be able
to do.
You need to be able to listen to people and let them come to their own conclusions about
what the solution is.
And you know, that's been a struggle for me.
And his insistence on me doing that I think is going to make me much more effective.
It already has.
I mean, I can see the difference in the tweaks that I've done just over, like, the past
three coaching calls, that's been a focus and you know, as we go through the weeks and
I make these, these adjustments, you can see that I'll get, the conversations are longer,
you know?
I'm getting more out of it and it's a tangible thing that you can see that that
skill and that very important area is being developed because of the attention that he
had to it.
I didn't even know, I mean, I guess I didn't know, I can't say I didn't know that I
needed to do it, but his, his insistence on my being aware of it and focusing on it is
going to make it, I wouldn't have improved that area without that guidance.
So he says that you should wait three months before you, before you do it.
I think what's in the pipeline, I'm comfortable enough with what's happening, and I think
I'm disgruntled enough.
I've already given my resignation, so, I won't be doing what I'm doing now next
year.
I'll be full time.
I felt confident enough in the material and the responsiveness of Joe.
It was even before I started getting the kind of responses that I was getting.
So, before there was necessarily a change in the response or, you know, actually signing
memos and things like that.
I had already, well, no, I guess I can't say that.
After I got my third memo, I figured that it would work.
And I felt like with his guidance and the way that he is so responsive to the questions
that I had I was pretty confident that if I can be as minimally effective as I am now,
you know, after school, you know, once I don't have to spend eight hours of every day doing
something else, I just don't see how it can't be effective.
Obviously, you know, good instruction is key.
You know, it's, you, it's very hard to do something if you don't know how to do
it and this program definitely has, it has laid out a lot of the information in ways
that are much more clearly stated than anything else I've ever seen.
And again, even information that's very similar, the person who invented the process,
I feel like Joe actually conveys it, at least to my personality, a lot better.
So, it's, I have been around real estate, especially creative real estate investing
since 2001 and I've read a lot of courses, a lot of books and I am very impressed with
Joe's stuff.

The Benefits, Truths and Myths of Meditation - Duration: 5:00.You must have meditated at some point and if not, you know someone who does.
To most, when they think of meditation, they think of yogic postures, feelings of
and being at one with nature.
In this video we are going to talk about four aspects of meditation
and hopefully bring some insight into the topic. Let's start with benefits.
Based on a study done by researchers at UCLA and Harvard,
people who meditated had increased concentration of grey matter in the region
called hippocampus. The subjects had increased learning ability, they were able
to recall past information better, they were better able at handling their emotions
and described greater empathy for others in their environment.
On the other hand, there was a reduced concentration of grey matter
in the amygdala, a region associated with fear, anxiety and stress.
Another study showed that mindfulness from meditative practices reduced the
likelihood of depression-related symptoms among adolescents.
Researchers at MIT had 12 subjects meditate for 45 minutes a day
for 8 weeks as a part of their study. After the study, the participants were
found to have higher alpha waves in their brain which made them feel less pain
and stress. There are many other studies which have found incredible
benefits of meditating, such as increased attention and focus, increased mental
flexibility and lateral thinking, and generally performing better under pressure.
These are all skills that benefit anyone doing almost anything, whether it is managing
business, writing a book, or organizing a volunteer drive in the community.
Meditation helps students learn better, professionals to understand their work
better, and allows for everyone to have a moment of,
sometimes very necessary, self-reflection.
Let's talk about some misconceptions. There are many misconceptions
surrounding meditation. The greatest of which is perhaps that it is a religious practice.
Yes, the methods of meditating are influenced by culture and religion
but the core principle is the same. It is religion-free.
Although, we have to credit the meditation we all are familiar with to this genius for
enlightening the world. Another misconception is the necessity of rituals.
Sitting in a certain posture, sandalwood, incense or chanting certain words
is NOT essential to meditation, although they can and are used by some.
Equating deep meditative practices with escapism from the troubles of life is
another common misconception. The belief here is that the pure spiritual process
of meditating is somehow antithetical to having a job, desire for more money,
having and maintaining stable family relationships, following your creative passions or just settling down.
The core misconception here is that these two things are simply incompatible.
But that is not the case. We need and are part of both the social world
and the individual experience. Most of you should be familiar with some of these lines.
You must have that one friend or family member who says at least one of these things.
Almost always, the reason is never what they say it is.
It is usually resistance to change their habitual thought patterns
which have found safety in the cocoons of their comfort zones.
Ok, you've stopped listening to your excuses and are now ready to meditate.
What do you do now? If you take a moment to be still and observe,
you will notice a constant train of thought in your mind, usually one leading
right next to the other, and that is the essential part of this method as well,
and it is perhaps, the easiest to do for many - just watching your thoughts float by
in your sky of consciousness, without any judgement. The second method is the same
in principle, but applied to breathing. Simply be aware of inhaling and exhaling,
and the two points in between where you are doing neither.
The third method is a bit difficult to understand conceptually. And I recommend
this method only after you have been doing the methods mentioned earlier for
QUITE a while. It is simply doing whatever you do, with total awareness
of the present moment, with no other thought in mind. It doesn't matter if it's eating,
singing or just catching Pokemon. Please DO NOT drive and do this.
Do simple physical things like walking. Then tackle your inner activities like
critical thinking and feelings. Again, even here, start small.
Don't try to tackle something like deep-seated family issues on the first go, for example.
There are many other insightful methods and teachings you should learn about once
you are an adept meditator and if you are really interested in it.
This is also where the cultural, traditional and chronologic impact is seen
on the methods as I mentioned earlier. I like to think of the variety of methods
as flowers emanating their own unique fragrances in the garden of meditation.
But all of them share the same core principle of being a flower, of being aware.
Follow these tips as you start on your journey, and soon you will
see yourself change for the better, and with enough people inspired
by you, the world will be a little bit more aware too.

hey you gave me an idea
I did? Hue hehehe

uhh...
alright...
hello friends my name is Arith Härger and today I'm going to talk about the bear
as the king of all animals
now if you have seen my previous videos you know
that I usually talk about Scandinavian studies - history, archaeology, paganism and so on
but if you have seen the title of this playlist
it's called "blog themes" so I talk about the things I write at my blogs and today
I'm going to talk about something a little bit different so let's get started
when people ask you what animal is the king of all animals the first
creature that comes to mind is the lion but in truth before the church imposed
the lion as the king of all animals the bear was the king of the forest
at least in the European continent the bear was a symbol of power, strength and Majesty
it is possible that our ancestors during prehistoric times
already worshiped bears and we can see bear skulls aligned in niches in caves
and they weren't placed there at random so there might have been an early
bear cult but unlike that image we grow up with of people living in caves our
ancestors actually built houses made of huge animal bones, tusks, tree trunks
animal skins and so on so those caves with beautiful paintings were in fact our
ancestors first temples but let's not go back so much in history
anyway we can find traces of the utmost respect and even fear and also admiration our
ancestors had for these creatures for instance in folk tales of course changed
by time and different social and political realities throughout history
and of course the new faiths
we can also see it in sacred places, Christianized
but were once places of pagan deities but with the new faith became the dwelling
places of saints and christian mythological accounts
for instance the Celts used to worship a goddess represented with a bear on her side or in
front of her, the bear goddess called Artio whose name has a lot of
similarities with Arthur who in turn has a name connected with bears so Artio
was a primitive goddess linked to the fertilizing forces of the earth in a
time when gods had not yet been anthropomorphized and were still represented
as animals
there were early Christian accounts that show the importance the
bear had to the pagans and as such the devil often took the form of a bear to
come and terrorize the monks so this means that the king of all animals was
turned against those who admire it the most by demonizing the poor animal
in the Jewish and Christian traditions the bear often has a negative symbology and
you can see that in the Old Testament
when the missionaries began their
process of evangelization throughout Europe they encountered a variety of
pagan deities which were either associated with bears or were bears themselves
to the Germanic and Celtic populations of Europe the bear was associated with
royalty so it isn't a coincidence that the most famous legendary King Arthur
was also associated with the bear and it is interesting to see that the bear, well...
the she-bear is connected with the warrior goddess Brigid of whom the
Celtic kings were sons of, making them little bear cubs, therefore the
connection between the Kings and the bears
so there was necessity to
Christianize this goddess and so Saint Brigid was born and later this goddess
already Christianized, was connected with a real person a real abbess from Kildare
which was named Brigid who died in the year of 525 of our era
to the germanic and scandinavian peoples the bear was connected with the warrior spirit
personified by the god Thor and it appears that in certain germanic groups
one of the imposed trials to the young warriors was the solitary bear hunt
although it hasn't been proven yet if these initiation rites were real or just
mythical anyway what is real is that the strength and ferocity of this animal was
an inspiration to the germanic and scandinavian warriors
many ancient cities throughout Europe still have the representation of the bear in their coat-of-arms
the survival evidences of the bear being the king of all animals
before the church replaced the symbolic functions of the bear for the lion so
the lion was this exotic animal and by the time it replaced the bear sometime
in the year 1000, the lion didn't belong to the European fauna and as such
it was almost a mythical creature therefore it was easily adopted
but to this day some cities such as Bern in Switzerland and Berlin in Germany to
name a few, still have the represtation of the bear in their coat-of-arms
it's not a coincidence that during the reign of Charlemagne a lot of bears
were hunted down almost till extinction because of the cult of the Germanic
peoples and the gods associated with this animal
and of course loads of sacred trees were taken down but we have often heard about
the forest devastation held by Charlemagne and his Nobles but we do not
often hear about the bear hunt
to the church, during medieval times, the bear
was the personification of evil, ferocity and chaos because the creature lived in
the dense and almost unreachable forests the forests were the dwelling places of
the pagans (in truth the forests were the places the pagans considered to be
sacred, once, but now it was their refuge from the horrible acts of forced
Christianization) but the bear started to enter in the christian mythology in
another way it became the symbol of the divine dominating chaos because the only
ones who could contact with these terrible creatures and turn them into
docile animals were the Hermits those who would seek the most inhospitable
places to live in solitude, for spiritual reasons, only through their fate and the
connection with the divine and the power of God could they do such a thing
turning a ferocious beast into a docile companion
thus the bear became the symbol of the victory of the divine over chaos and we
can actually see this representation in the story of Saint Columbanus and his
many encounters with bears and befriending them
now for obvious reasons
I cannot speak about Saint Columbanus and the bear stories associated with this
saint because this video will be too long but if at least 20 of you ask me
about it I can make a video about-solely on Saint Columbanus and all these
accounts with bears and befriending bears so you can understand how the bear
entered in the medieval Christian mythology as a
sort of propaganda to bring more pagans into the new faith
the bear was also associated with the devil and a symbol of the many vices and sins condemned by
the church and there were many accounts of bears being the evil creatures of
chaos to the point that they became the creatures that would kidnap beautiful
young maidens and rape them and we can still see in many folktales
the bear being the "bad guy" of the story and this might be the beginning of the
creation of the story of the "Beauty and the Beast", highly infantilized and
softened by Disney and thank the gods for that because no child would want to
hear the real account
so in conclusion the fight of the church against the bear
was a symbolic way, and in some cases a very real way, of [to] free territories from
there pagan past and Christianize those same territories and place order over chaos
unfortunately the bear had a very
negative connotation during the Middle Ages but at the same time the symbolism
the bear had during pagan times somehow survived until nowadays and I'm sure all
of us remember the childhood stories of the she-bear being the kind and caring
mother and it isn't a coincidence that to this day there are many children that-
that still sleep with their teddy-bears
alright friends, I know this
subject was a little bit different than usual but I hope you have enjoy it all the same

thank you so much for watching see you on the next video and of course

Team New Zealand want to return America's Cup to free-to-air television - Duration: 4:26.Team New Zealand want to return America's Cup to free-to-air television
Skipper Glenn Ashby, team principal Matteo de Nora, helmsman Peter Burling and CEO Grant Dalton celebrate Emirates Team New Zealands Americas Cup success in Bermuda. Team New Zealand will move to have the Americas Cup return to free-to-air television.
Emirates Team New Zealand principal Matteo de Nora gave a strong indication of that in a wide-ranging interview with Italian paper La Stampa where he expressed confidence Auckland could attract better audiences than Bermuda and that other buildup regattas would be held around the world.
He also emphasised increased nationality around teams and had a dig at Oracles governance of the event that saw the Kiwis at odds on several fronts, operating as a lone wolf outside the other five syndicates.
Yachting fans celebrate the Americas Cup win at the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club in Wellington. Team New Zealands stunning dominance in Bermuda earned them a 7-1 victory over Oracle Team USA to win back the Auld Mug and with it all the power.
There is not one formula only, but many ones that can work. The most important thing is that when you find the formula you fix the rules and there also has to be a certain transparency, de Nora told La Stampa.
He said there was a need for more fans to be given access to the event and that in turn would lead to greater commercial opportunities.
For the first time in New Zealands long and proud history in the Cup, this years live TV coverage was shown exclusively on Sky TV who pushed a delayed version out to the wider audience via Prime TV once Team New Zealand made the final.
This caused considerable angst among fans. The main goal is to have more audience, even among the ones that dont follow this sport. Besides the boat, there has to be a return to nationality.
The Americas Cup has to be a challenge between nations. And we need to also think about the TV, de Nora said.
Private networks, pay-TV, buy the rights and offer the Americas Cup in a non-clear way. The Americas Cup organisation can gain more money but at the end there is a more limited audience. This will reduce the sponsors interest..
Sir Russell Coutts, the Oracle boss and Americas Cup Event Authority chief for the last regattas, expressed doubts earlier this month that Auckland would work commercially as a one-off venue.
Auckland hosted the 2000 and 2003 Americas Cup regattas with large fleets and to wide acclaim.
The Americas Cup was already played in Auckland and the audience was higher than what we have seen in Bermuda, where the hotels are half empty, de Nora told La Stampa.
He confirmed the 36th edition of the Cup would be in Auckland. But they would consider having leadup events hosted by those countries that participate in the Cup.
De Nora, a key benefactor to the New Zealand syndicate, said he would continue in that role and looked forward to helping syndicate boss Grant Dalton set up the next event.
Italian syndicate Luna Rossa has already been named as the challenger of record and will work out the framework for the next Cup with Team New Zealand.
When asked what boats needed to be used to be successful, he dryly replied that the Cup would hold interest even if it was raced in steam boats.
He believed the current technology race had become so far advanced that organisers had to be careful not to scare off new syndicates as they look to increase the small numbers in San Francisco and Bermuda.
If catamarans remain, we should ask this question: Why a new team would join the Cup with rivals that are already five years ahead in the boat development?.
It was then suggested that was the right of the holders - that they didnt necessarily have to care about the challengers. Americans would probably act like that. We will do the right thing for the Americas Cup, he finished.

Rolling up a paper like it's morning meditation
Flew out to Ibiza put that ticket on a Visa
Boppin' when she wake up and she chase it with tequila
Independent woman, yeah she got no hesitation
See her in the crowd on some shoulders and she's singing

Drink away the problems, call it overnight amnesia
She give all her worries to the bottom of the bottle
Singing every word like the motherfucking gospel
