I have watched this play during its first season at Sesc Pinheiros theater, in São Paulo.
When that woman realizes that she doesn't have any idea of who she is actually, she decides to spend
her free afternoons in a dirty room, The Room 19, located in a hotel in downtown of the city where she lives.
In that place, she does not stop asking herself: "Who Am I?" "What are the consequences of marriage and children in my life?"
During all play, Amanda Lyra shows all that woman drama, that looks so familiar to contemporary women of our society
who have been asking themselves if they should quit her career because of a marriage or to take care their children
"Quarto 19" is directed by Leonardo Moreira, who is also Hiato Company Theater director. "Amadores" and "O Jardim", two Hiato Company Theater plays, are some of the most awarded plays in the latest years.
"Quarto 19" is based on a Doris Lessing short story.
Doris Lessing is a Britain writer and she won a Nobel Prize for literature when she was 88 years old, in 2007.
And the moment when she was told she won a Nobel is very funny. I am going tell and show you how was that.
As soon she was announced as a Nobel winner, some journalists and photographers stayed in front her home in London.
When she gets there from a supermarket by taxi, a journalist asks her if she has been listening the news
She looks like do not understand that question, and then journalist lets her know that she won the literature Nobel.
Doris Lessing, then, says: "Christ!"
She then breathes, pays the taxi driver and, then, she says to journalists…
"Look, I have already won several literature awards in Europe, Nobel Prize is just one more in my career
And, besides that, I do not understand how Nobel organization chooses a writer to award, I do not understand how Swedish people, who looks like does not having a literature tradition, chooses the winners
Doris Lessing wrote several books, including "The Sweetest Dream", that it was released in Brazil by Companhia das Letras.
This book tells the story of a group of young people who believe they can change the world and finish with all injustice in our society in 1960s and 1970s
But, when they face the reality in Africa for example, they realize how hard is that because of the corruption, for instance. So they get disappointed

Hi guys, so there goes my
one day fasting/puasa experience
Actually this is a spontaneous
idea that i had few days ago
if I have this idea earlier, I would have
lengthen the number of days for my fasting experience
So, through this experience
the most significant feeling that I have is
thirsty.
I don't get cracked lips but
my throat is so dry because I
talk alot today. I do feel abit of
tiredness (like no energy like that) but
it's still bearable. and I must say that
i'm quite amazed that the Muslims are able to
go through this for one whole month
which I don't think i can do it
So
#RESPECT
So the reason why I want to make this video
is because I want to encourage more
non Muslims to try and fast like for
a few days
So you can better understand the feelings of
the Muslims
and you will be more sensitive
and know what you should do and what you
should not do during that period
to show respect for the Muslims.
As a non Muslim, I have a lot of things
that I don't know about puasa (fasting) and
the purpose of it
At the same time, I believe that
there are many people like me who wish to know
more about it
so I hope that my video will give you
a brief idea about it

23rd World Taekwondo Championships kick off in Muju - Duration: 4:25.
Taekwondo.
Rooted in traditional Korean martial arts that require one to push oneself to the limit
to master and deliver kicks with surgical precision... it has evolved into a sport loved
the world over.
Fans and athletes have gathered in Muju, Jeollabuk-do Province for one of the biggest global Taekwondo
events.
Kim Mok-yeon takes us there.
This year's World Taekwondo Championships will go down in history on many levels, this
year's edition being the biggest one yet.
Under the slogan...
"One World, One Taekwondo at Taekwondowon," it kicked off on Sunday in Muju County for
a 7-day run.
[STAND UP] ed: devin "This is the Muju Taekwondo center, where
the 23rd World Taekwondo Championships are being held this week.
It was completed in 2014 as the world's largest Taewondo center, and by hosting this event
it's become a mecca of Taekwondo."
The organizer, the World Taekwondo Federation,... hopes the champsionships will spread the value
of unity.
More than 17-hundred athletes from 184 countries are participating this year.

I have a lot of friends from around the world, and that's why taekwondo is amazing.
like it says, one world, one taekwondo.
Taekwondo brings a lot of people together.
Its fun.

It's very exciting and it shows that everyone can really come together for a common sport."
This year is the first time a team from North Korea has come to the South in more than a
decade.
It also represents the first South-North interaction since President Moon Jae-in took office.
President Moon himself came to the venue and thanked the North Korean delegation for their
symbolic visit, speaking of hopes to make Taekwondo a bridge that connects the two Koreas.
- June 24,2017 "I've heard the World Taewkondo Federation
demo team is working to return the favor by participating in the ITF's competition to
be held in Pyongyang this September.
I hope this reciprocal visit does take place and serves as a significant turning point
for peace on the Korean Peninsula."
The 32-member North Korean delegation gave several performances during the opening event
and are also performing in the cities of Jeonju and Yongin.

If there's a difference, I personally think the South Korean team were fancier, while
the North Korean team focused more on the martial art itself."
Though Taekwondo is long-established as a global sport with more than 80 million practitioners
around the world, Korea, is working continuously to promote and further develop its traditional
martial art.
For this competition, the World Taekwondo Federation has changed the rules to make it
more smooth-flowing and engaging.
16'13 "To make the matches more entertaining, we
re-inforced the offense-scoring-system.
For instance, 2 points are given instead of 1 when you kick the body.
And to discourage the athletes from tip-toeing around one another, they no longer get a warning
before they're penalized for not attacking."
And the changes are a hit with spectators and athletes alike.
12'35 " I think the new rules make the matches longer
and more exciting.
It takes a lot of physical strength so I think it would be more entertaining to watch."
On the sidelines of the competition, there are events to help Taekwondo appeal to a wide
variety of visitors.
These range from smashing pinewood boards... to virtual reality experiences.
"Taekwondo is more than just a competition.
I think there is a lot of room for improvement because many efforts are being made to fund
and teach Taekwondo to countries that can't afford to learn the sport."
In this spirit, members of the Taekwondo family hope that this year's championships spark
a Taekwondo sensation around the world.

Team New Zealand designer dies on day they win back America's Cup
Doug Peterson in Auckland during Team New Zealands unsuccessful defence of the Americas Cup in 2003. Team New Zealand lost one of their legendary designers to cancer on the same day they won back the Americas Cup.
Doug Peterson, the man behind Black Magic which gave Team New Zealand their 1995 Americas Cup breakthrough, passed away in San Diego on Tuesday at the age of 71. Peterson was earlier this year inducted into the Americas Cup Hall of Fame.

Peterson, a two-time winner of the Americas Cup, was a key member of the design teams for America3 (winner in 1992), Team New Zealand (winner in 1995), and Prada Challenge (2000 and 2003).
I started putting boats down on paper when I was 10, and have never wanted to do anything else, he once said as he started to gain international acclaim for his work. American Peterson had a long relationship with Cup legend Dennis Conner.
In 1992 he joined with Bill Kochs group and helped design America3, which defended the Cup in San Diego. He wasnt hired for the defence of the Cup three years later and instead joined Team New Zealand.
Ironically his boat won the Cup 5-0 in San Diego, beating Conners Stars and Stripes.
Black Magics advantage in speed was due in part to Petersons decision to design her with a narrow beam and a mast positioned further aft than her conventional counterparts, establishing a new paradigm in Americas Cup class yacht design, the Americas Cup Hall of Fame said of the designer as they confirmed his induction.
Peterson further attributed the success of the boat to using a total approach to design: We started on a path with the hull, but then interconnected other components like mast and sails, always looking at it as a whole.
That is our strength.. Black Magic is now a feature of the Maritime Museum in Auckland. Peterson is survived by four children - Mark, Jamie, Laura and Julia.

Can I just write a poem that says "fuck the police," for every single line,
for every single stanza, and leave it at that?
Because I'm imagining his next victim - because there will be a next one - and how she will
feel when she finds out that he had my former report on his private police record,
accessible only by certain police.
I want to scream, but the metal chain he put around my throat to choke me because,
"ha ha you like that, right?" after I had already said no,
is still there, so nothing can come out of my mouth;
except, I've already been screaming as loud as I can, for so long;
One year, and I'm still not free.
His body weight is still crushing me, still heavy;
the bruises on my body still felt every day; my body a museum of decaying loss and

Or how about the second cop I met, who rolled his eyes at me when he learned
that I met my rapist on tinder?
I gave the cop a smile, and answered that yes, that's true,
because what else was I supposed to do but tell the truth?
Or, the first thing he said to me when writing the initial police report was "so then you
had a few drinks..."
Well no, sir, that's not what happened, at all.
Back up.
Please.

I've been silenced enough.
I thought I was doing the right thing to heal.
Still.
In my partial hospitalization program that I went to for my diagnosis of PTSD,
that I got from my rapist, I learned that the "right" thing to do was to seek help right
away after a traumatic incident so that it doesn't
lead to lifelong suffering; And I've always wanted to do the right thing:
Like getting him arrested for raping me.
But the police still haven't listened even when my body has been confiscated, graffiti
marked by my rapist, torn apart, bruised, and filled with ghosts;
and the police still tell me coldly to just
seek counseling;
because, after all:
I "consented," and that my rapist isn't a rapist in the eyes of the law.
My rapist isn't a rapist but my rapist still IS a rapist and he's still going free.
I did the right thing, but I'm still stuck night after night waking up crying;
I wonder who will be next and that person's weight is added on top of me;
The gallery of bruises he inflicts will just continue, and I wonder
where on snapchat will they be next?
