hi guys it's me ColorMeCassie and today we're doing my August battle of the boxes!
So guys today we're doing August $10 battle of the boxes and that means we
have ipsy we have birchbox we have Sephora play and if you guys have not
yet seen my lovely face before hi my name is Cassie it's nice to meet you and

gonna be starting with Birchbox and I think this box is actually really really
cute it kind of looks like a California sunset there's some palm trees on here
and first of all neither this little card in here that says easy does it
and it also on the back has everything that's in the box but don't look at that
sneak peek what's in there. You guys I'm such a dork this is going
so badly the first thing I see is this curling Laboratories sulfate free color
enhancing anti anti fade shampoo with pomegranate there there's like a
bajillion words on here you guys how am I supposed to read all those words come
on apparently it's a shampoo an anti fade
conditioner with pomegranate it says shampoo I'm confused oh there's
also this little foil packing of the conditioner and this is a bonus item so
that means there's six items in the box this month. Let's be real guys I don't
love getting hair products in my boxes, but let's see what else is in this box
and see if we can make it up a little bit. The next thing I've seen in here is
this Avena clearance cleansing gel oh my goodness they've got like multiple
languages line after line so I can't understand what I'm reading is supposed
to be English or if it's supposed to be like French but I can't read it. How do I
graduate college? I don't know.. So that's kind of cool
I like gel cleansers I tend to get all out of my makeup off so that's a good
thing. So I'm definitely excited to try that out!
The next thing I'm seeing here is this Coastal Scents blush and bronzer
palate that's kind of cool I wonder how big it is. Static electricity is
making things stick to my hands. Okay so this is what the little sampler looks
like they're about the size of eyeshadows so I think that's actually a
pretty good deal. I mean for a blush and bronzer they're a
little bit small but they seem pretty pigmented. You can't see the bronzer too
much on my skin tone probably like two bucks apiece I think that's what Coastal
Scents eyeshadows cost and these are about the size their eye shows like this
is a four dollar value maybe a two to four dollar value so that's a good chunk
of the cost of the box. The next thing I'm seeing here is this
Hollywood California glam glow thirsty mud hydrating treatment so this is a
really good thing to get in your box because glam glow is really expensive so
if you got a sample size like this you're actually getting a good amount of
product and a good monetary value. $69 for the full-size but this is a decent
amount of money right here so very happy with this I'm excited to try it out. And
the last thing I'm seeing here is this Marcel City tinted cream
it's a tinted sunscreen you guys so it's coming in this little packet thingy city
multi protection protection city of multi protection tinted creme SPF 25 in
the color fair the full-size $22 so that seems like it might actually be my shade
on my face because my face is a little bit lighter than my hand but it's got a
decent amount of coverage it feels really nice on the skin I would be
interested to see how that does on my face the box is in my lap you guys know
I was trying to find the box and it's sitting in my lap it's one of those days
so out of that two of the items are makeup items the glam glow mask is
something that is very expensive so that's a high value item I'm not too
stoked about the shampoo conditioner the gel cleanser I'm really excited about as
well so I'd say this is a decent box it's definitely not the best box I've
ever gotten but it's it's not a bad one I'm not mad at it so that's it for
Birchbox let's jump right into our Sephora play so this is the inside of
this too for up to four dattara this is the inside of the support play this
month yeah we've got our typical little card card in here and it looks like it
has some chemical elements on it so that's intriguing and in here we've got
our little bag if you guys have any suggestions of what to use this little
Sephora play bag for let me know in the comments down below because I've got a
ton of them just sitting around and I really don't know what to do with them
okay so popping right in here the first thing I'm grabbing is this hourglass
advantage seamless finish foundation stick yes I've heard such good things
about the hourglass foundation sticks and this is a comes with directions hold
the presses guys this foundation stick comes with legit directions that is
really funny to me okay so going back to the foundation stick this is obviously a
sample size it's pretty little so all in all you're giving about that much
product in there so I don't even know if that's enough to cover your face but it
looks like it's a little bit dark for me but again I've heard awesome things
about this I'm definitely excited to try it out next thing I'm reaching for in
here is this Burberry my Burberry black so it's just a little spray perfume like
this I don't love getting perfume samples oh man that's really spicy it
smells kind of like a cologne I don't know how I feel about that interesting
I'll have to think about that a little bit
next thing I'm reaching for in here is this Beauty Blender mini I'm so excited
about this you guys these are expensive today check the prices over here there's
no prices on this anymore that's cheap yeah there's no prices on here anymore
so I don't know how much things cost but this is a good value I love using these
for concealer underneath my eyes I feel like they really blend it out very well
so I'm excited about this and next thing I'm seeing in here is this little purple
bottle and it's a miracle multiplying volume mist I don't really need any more
extra volume in my hair though my hair is pretty voluminous of its own cord
they kind of have a mind of its own especially when there's humidity and
then it just kind of goes both and it's like a big triangle of hair poof it's
definitely good size if you have hair that is less on the voluminous side a
little bit flat and you're definitely gonna like getting this in your box
because there's a lot of product to be used in here very good deal to get that
in your suppor play the next thing I've seen here is where's the label Clinique
lash building primer and Clinique high impact mascara so it's a primer and
mascara in one you've got two little sides here this is the mascara side and
then over here you have the primer side I do really like lash primer I think it
gives me a lot of length so my eyelashes are pretty pale blonde so they're kinda
hard to see so like I'm mascara to make them look very dark and also I like
mascaras that hold curl because I do have a long lashes but they kind of
stick out like straight out so you can't really see them unless I curl them and
use some good mascara to hold them in place you know this is cool to get not
necessarily my specific cup of tea but I'm always out for trying new mascara
and the fact that this one comes with the primer is kind of cool and the last
thing I'm having here is this Kors golden Korkis ageless Saffron elixir
this is weird but it's an elixir they're trying to get you to pay more for that
because they're calling it an elixir but it comes with like a little rubber
dropper thing let's see what that's actually made for it says it's an
anti-aging serum infused with antioxidant rich Greek saffron that
visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines for a youthful youthful for a
youthful and smooth complexion so in the Sephora play we got three makeup items
the mascara the Beauty Blender and the hourglass foundation stick and we have
one hair item one skin item and a perfume so that's not too bad either
definitely not the best box I've ever gotten from Sephora plate either so
without further ado let's jump right into our hip C so guys this is the
JMC this month I think this is really cute
very much my cup of tea as far as an Ipsy bag goes so let's jump right into
this thing and they're introducing this thing that's called the FC shopper where
you get cash back for shopping at makeup sites and stuff if you guys don't know a
bait also does that so I'm gonna I shop at Sephora and Ulta all the time and get
cash back from eBay so if you want to hear more about that you want me to do a
video on it let me know in the comments down below I'd love to share that with
you guys so the first thing I got in this bag was actually not in the bag it
was in a little foil e shipping bag that they sent but it was these two face
masks and the first is a kiwi yogurt mask the other is a strawberry yogurt
mask so these both sound kind of fun one is for brightening and one us for
revitalization so I will definitely enjoy those so the next thing I'm seeing
in here is actually a little palette guy that's Cassie proof the Cassie proof
things are returning okay we're ripping a bubble wrap so
Pacifica is now available at Ulta apparently and this is me coconut blush
from the Pacifica this is tape chat - they just really don't want me to get
into my makeup today you guys why would you do this to me come on I'm starting
to feel like maybe if she doesn't want me to open anything you just want me to
struggle give him with sinners I can't get it open
let's try to rip it now now I can't get the lid to flip and we're working the
box thank you the box people finally into this thing this looks pretty huge
Wow there are like two full-size products in here you guys and the back
of this is a mirror that's kind of fun that's impressive
in a ten dollar box we got two full-size blushes and they're really pretty
looking oh they're creamy too pulling off a little bit powdery on my hand
that's not always a bad thing in blushes so I'm definitely excited to try this
out and see how they do on the cheeks but that is amazing that they had two
full-size blushes in this little travel compact tip see that's a really good
deal okay so let's go on the next thing in here
Aurora times FC pro cover up concealer I don't know what this brand is I've never
heard of it before it's like a little concealer that's actually pretty good
size for a concealer bottle it seems to be nearest to my skintone that's kind of
cool next thing I have in here is a brush yes I love getting full-size
brushes in my Ipsy I feel like if C is the only $10 bag that does that but this
is 1835 precise blending brush and I cannot read the brand for the life of me
but it feels decent it doesn't feel like a super soft brush but you know
definitely not a sharp brush or a rough brush and it's this really cute mint
green color so I'm excited about that it always makes these bags really really
worth it when they throw a full sized brush in there so I'm really excited
about that the last thing I'm seeing here is this
bon voyage Hallet mini thing but this is a brown
shadow in cahuachi cherie but i cannot pronounce that but it's supposed to be
an illuminator type thing yeah you can definitely see that I'm excited about
that that is very pretty and it's nice to have a golden highlight that I can
actually use on my skin tone because I am very pale but this is kind of a very
pale golden highlight so excited about that so four out of five things in the
epsy bag were makeup items and the last thing in the box was two facial masks so
I would say this month if she'd done a pretty good job so guys before you go
