Arsene Wenger pins his hopes on Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette forming a lethal - Duration: 8:15.

Arsene Wenger pins his hopes on Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette forming a lethal partnership for Arsenal

ARSENE WENGER is banking on Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette striking up a deadly partnership for Arsenal.

Sanchez is fit again and available for today's Premier League clash at Liverpool — and it opens up the mouth-watering prospect of the Chilean playing alongside £44million club-record buy Lacazette.

Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette will be hoping to hit it off for Arsenal.

Alexandre Lacazette in training for Arsenal ahead of Sundays trip to Liverpool.

Gunners boss Wenger has vowed to do all he can to keep Sanchez at the Emirates for the final year of his contract and persuade him to sign a new deal.

And the Frenchman hopes Lacazette's arrival will convince Sanchez that, as a strike partnership, they can rip defences apart and seriously compete for the title.

He said: "Their co-operation looks promising. The two are good goalscorers, good finishers, good passers, have good assists — that means they can find each other.

"The rest will be more about the desire to play with each other, but usually the good players have that.

When Luis Suarez moved from Liverpool to Barcelona three years ago, many wondered how well he would do with Neymar and Lionel Messi alongside him.

And Wenger admitted: "That was the question we all had when Suarez went to Barcelona and they had Neymar and Messi.

Alexis Sanchez will return from injury for Arsenal at Anfield.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is hoping his new attacking partnership will transform their goal record after they came fifth last season. "I had a conversation with Javier Mascherano before the season when Suarez moved there.

"We both came to the conclusion if it works, it'll be fantastic, but it can be as well a disaster because they can kill each other.

"But one of the qualities of Suarez is he manages to get the best out of people around him. He did that at Liverpool. You had Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling — they scored over 100 goals.

"And that is a quality that is important and sometimes you cannot measure so much because you only look at the number of goals a guy has scored.

"But sometimes the way he can marry with people around him decides the quality of the team. And I think Sanchez and Lacazette should be able to do that. All the ingredients are there.".

Sunday Premier League preview including Chelsea v Everton.

Alexis Sanchez has for so long been the main attacking threat for Arsenal - and now Arsene Wenger hopes he has a world-class partner in Alexandre Lacazette.

Alexandre Lacazette is stipped to adjust to English football and become one of the best strikers in the Premier League. Wenger believes that although Lacazette must adapt to English football, his Arsenal team-mates need to adapt to him.

He said: "Alexandre is a player when you look at his numbers, his assist numbers are good as well and he's not an absolutely obsessed, selfish striker.

"You have many types of strikers and he is the one who is more of a combination player than a finisher.

But if you look at his numbers, the quantity of his finishing compared to the rest of Europe is a bit below.

"That means he plays more in situations where he could have taken a shot rather than pass to others.   He is a guy who doesn't shoot a lot but, when he shoots, he finishes.

"You think sometimes during games, 'Where is he?' but when you watch the game again, you see he made a good pass here or his team-mates haven't found him.

"The team needs to adapt to him and it can take three or four months. Wenger admits that Lacazette has had a shock introduction to English football but has no doubt he will be a big success.

He added: "Alexandre is still in an adaptation period to the team and to the league. He's a bit surprised by the intensity of it all in training and in the games.

"He will get there because he is brave and intelligent. The intelligence of his runs and the quality of his technique is very good. Overall I don't worry for him.

"At the start he was completely taken by the intensity of it and he slowly adapts. I feel every week he is getting better.".

Alexandre Lacazette was quick to make his mark on the goal charts with the season-opener for Arsenal against Leicester.

One thing though that is clear already to Wenger is that Lacazette has settled in with his team-mates off the pitch and is in a positive frame of mind.

The Gunners boss said: "He's friendly with everybody.  He looks a naturally friendly guy. He comes from a Caribbean family and they are quite extrovert, he smiles easily and is a happy boy.".

Arsenal paid Lyon £44m and Wenger added: "I believe he is a bargain compared to the fees being paid for strikers now.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp agrees and is also a fan of summer free transfer Sead Kolasinac, who played against him while the defender was at Schalke.

Chile superstar Alexis Sanchez is in the final season of his Arsenal contract.   Arsenal fan favourite Santi Cazorla steps up recovery from injury nightmare.

Klopp said: "They made good signings. SK is a good signing. Lacazette, of course pretty much the whole world thought about him and Arsene got him. A really good team.". Klopp expects a tough afternoon trying to get the ball from Arsenal.

He added: "We compete for the same ball and then they can play football. "They are all involved. Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez . . . Walcott, Giroud, Lazacette.

"It's really difficult to step in but that is part of the game, you cannot play a little bit of football and hope you get anything from Arsenal — they are too strong.

Was Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette offside when his goal was disallowed at Stoke. Keep up to date with ALL the transfer news and gossip on our blog.

Ewangeliarz OP - 27 sierpnia 2017 - (Mt 16, 13-20) - Duration: 2:44.

[music]

There's such a sentence in The Book of Job that,

when I read it for the first time, still in high school,

it moved me really deep.

This is the sentence at the end of the book, when Job says,

after the entire hell he'd been through,

He says to God: "I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you'';

There's a bit similar sentence in the Gospel of John when

people from the town of Samaria turn to Jesus and say:

"Now, looking at You and listening to You, we do believe

that this is You who is indeed the Savior of the world."

"It is no longer because of what that woman said who had talked with You that we believe,

for we' ve seen for ourselves, with our own eyes."

It' s one of the most important points to push past.

When first, we are in the world of opinions on Jesus,

different opinions,

positive and negative,

and even if we were only in the circle of positive words about Jesus, the stories about Jesus,

even the most pious of us

still, it is not MY Jesus,

yet, it's not the Jesus, I have met with my own eyes.

The already gone "Kaliber 44" band leader sang the shocking song titled "Be, and I'll Kneel"

and he even shouted so desperately:

"Why is that obvious that You do not exist?!''

''Why that is obvious for ME You don't exist?!''

''I wanna LOOK at You, I WILL look at You with MY eyes and NOT my mother's eyes!"

This is the invitation we hear in the Gospel today,

when Jesus wants to invite His disciples,

to stop spreading opinions on Him,

but to discover Him with their OWN hearts instead

and stand by Him as their OWN decision.

How you can use Smartphone Photography to Improve ALL of your photography. Part 2 - Duration: 11:48.

In part one of this Smartphone photography set, I promised to share my favorite apps

for shooting and processing my smartphone images and I told you that I would share a

list of apps that can help you improve ALL of your photography - even with your expensive

pro cameras.

So lets do this - stay tuned!

Hey gang!

My name is Joe Edelman and my mission is to help photographers like YOU to develop a solid

understanding of the HOWS & WHYS behind great photography so that you can achieve your goals

as a photographer.

If you haven't watched part one of this set - I hope you have a good excuse!

You can find the link to it in the description below the video.

I mentioned in the first video that I shoot my smartphone images as RAW files!

A lot of people were surprised to hear that was possible.

Well it is - but let me clarify a few things…

RAW files are not a native feature on smartphones - so you will need to use a different camera

app than the one that is part of your phones operating system.

<<<Camera Apps>>>

Just like there are different camera brands - there are fifty times as many different

camera apps for your smartphone.

So let's look at two of my favorites..

Probably tops on the list for both functionality and ability to work on iPhone and Android

is the app called ProShot.

This is a $3.99 app that effectively turns your smartphone into a DSLR styled operating

system.

You can shoot with Auto Exposure, Program, Automatic or Manual and you can create two

custom modes to fit your shooting style - just like you do with a DSLR.

The ProShot App gives you Manual, semi-manual or automatic control over exposure, focus,

flash, ISO, shutter speed, and white balance.

You can shoot in JPEG or RAW - which is a DNG file or just like your DSLR - you can

shoot RAW + JPEG.

Also, you can shoot in a standard 4:3 format or 16:9 or 1:1 square and even create custom

aspect ratios.

The ProShot app also offers manual focus assist, Burst, Timer and Timelapse modes, Bracketing,

Live Histogram and a lot more.

I have included a link in the description below.

My personal favorite app for shooting stills is ProCam.

This is an iOS only app.

ProCam sells for $4.99.

It will allow you to shoot a RAW file or even shoot a Lossless TIFF as well as jpegs with

three quality options.

In addition it has all of these features……

If I am working on a shot in low light levels and I want to limit the amount of noise - I

use an app called Hydra.

Hydra merges up to 60 individual images to make a single high-quality picture, effectively

getting more light from the scene.

That way, Hydra produces up to 32-megapixel high-resolution images with enhanced dynamic

range and reduced camera noise in low-light scenes.

Hydra is an iOS only app that sells for $4.99

So how do you figure out which is the best app for you to shoot with????

The same way you figure out the best camera or lens to shoot with…you consider what

types of photos you like to take…and try a bunch of different apps.

A lot of the camera apps offer a free version and paid version.

The free version will help you figure out if you like the layout and design of the app

and if it is worth spending the money for the paid version to unlock all the cool features

You can also use YouTube to see detailed walkthroughs of most of the apps.

It is worth pointing out - I still keep the native iPhone app icon on my main screen.

If I am in a hurry - need a quick snap of something and I am not trying to be creative

or create a work of art - nothing beats the native camera app on iPhone or Android for

that quick snapshot.

<<<Post Processing>>>>

Yes - it said post processing - all digital files are meant to be processed - just like

in the film days.

You see we really haven't evolved that much.

I do want to be clear - post processing does not mean slapping an Instagram filter on your

photo so that it looks like five million other shots that used the same filter.

My all time favorite app for post is Snapseed.

Originally by Nik Software and now owned by Google, Snapseed is free for both iOS and

Android.

Supports raw files and allows you to create editable files so that you can undo and change

your edits.

Snapseed in very robust and it's features include - well - all of this…..

I think it is important to mention that the latest version of Lightroom Mobile is extremely

robust and well laid out - but it still suffers from the same roadblock as the desktop version

of Lightroom - IMPORT - for me - I don't want to have to import my photos so they live

in the Adobe ecosystem.

So for my workflow - Snapseed stays at number one but if you use Lightroom on your Desktop

and love that set-up, I would strongly encourage you to take a look at the Lightroom App.

Its also worth mentioning that for the occasional gimmick there are apps that will create reflections

and mirror images and raindrops and just about anything you can imagine.

Honestly they are a lot of fun - just don't over do it.

Remember - a bad photo is still a bad photo and adding a reflection to it - won't save

it - so use any of these apps sparingly - please.

<<<< DSLR HELPERS>>>>

I know - these are the ones you have really been waiting to hear about.

Let's start with Shoot Prep.

Smartphones give us so much useful technology for planning photo shoots - it really is hard

to imagine how we ever got great shots back in the film days.

Hopefully it goes without saying that Google Earth and Google Maps are incredibly important

from the ability to see a location that you have never visited before to of course being

able to map out the fastest route to get there.

Both apps are free and available for iOS and Android.

Aside from Google Earth and Google Maps - Number one on my must have list is called Sun Surveyor.

If you are going to shoot outdoors for any reason this app is extremely useful.

Sun Surveyor allows me to track the sun throughout the day on any calendar date.

It will show me where the sun will be in the sky, how high it will be, how long the shadows

will be and more.

I can use this in a map view mode - but also a street view mode to get a realistic idea

of how my location will be lit.

Using my phones GPS - I can even stand inside a building and use the app to figure out how

much light will be streaming through windows at any given time of the day.

Sun Surveyor also helps me plan night time shots by tracking the moon and for any give

calendar day it will give me detailed breakdowns of sunrise, sunset, golden and magic hours

and more.

This is a $9.99 app that is worth every penny and for me it replaces several apps like the

popular LightTrac and The Photographer's Ephemeris.

Sun Surveyor is much more robust and information packed than any other app of its kind.

It is available for Android and iOS.

Also when planning a location shoot - the Weather Channel App which is FREE and available

for iOS and Android is incredibly important to be able to review weather forecasts and

also satellite radar data.

If you want something a bit more robust, for $1.99 in both iOS and Android, you can pick

up the NOAA Hi Def Radar app which has hi-def radar displays for more accurate predictions.

a 99 cent per month subscription is required to see future radar data - but this is a worthwhile

expense if you routinely work outdoors.

I like to keep track of potential shoot locations as I am out and about so I use an app called

Scene Scout.

Available for free on iOS and Android, Scene Scout allows me to shoot and organize my potential

locations - tag and search them AND crowdsource by sharing them with others.

This also means that if I am traveling somewhere new - I can check Scene Scout for locations

that have been shared by others in the past.

Another very useful app - especially for landscape and architectural photographers - but even

handy for us people shooters is Hyperfocal Depth of Field.

This is a calculator app.

It supports over 1,600 different camera models and lets you input your camera, lens and aperture

and it will tell you the hyperfocal distance for that combination.

In case you haven't actually studied depth field…

The hyperfocal distance is the closest distance that your lens can be focused at while keeping

objects at infinity acceptably sharp.

So when the lens is focused at this distance, all objects at distances from half of the

hyperfocal distance out to infinity will be acceptably sharp.

If I just confused with that - you need to go and read up on how depth of field really

works.

You know.. the part that doesn't just mean bokeh in the background.

I will be releasing an in-depth video about depth of field in a few weeks.

The Hyperfocal Depth of Field App is for iOS and it's FREE.

It is supported by small ads at the bottom of the screens.

The Android alternative is an app called Depth of Field Calculator which is also free or

you can pay just under two dollars to have the ads removed.

Having your gear stolen is the ultimate nightmare.

Lenstag allows you to register your lenses, cameras, and other equipment and stores a

photo of your gears the serial number tag as proof of your ownership.

In the unfortunate event that your stuff goes missing, you mark it as stolen on your account.

If a third party buyer does a search for the serial numbers of the equipment you are missing,

they'll be notified that the stuff they are looking to buy was stolen.

It's also FREE and available for iOS and Android.

I find it is useful just to have a complete inventory of my gear in case of theft.

That inventory can be downloaded as a .csv file.

Last but not least on my list, since I am a people photographer Model Releases are important

and I am so over using paper.

My long standing favorite is the app called Easy Release.

Available for iOS and Android.

This is a $9.99 app that is also worth every penny.

You can use the release's that are pre-installed in the app or upload your own.

The app will allow you to collect a photo of your subject, add their signature and then

produce a jpeg or pdf of the signed release that can be emailed to you and / or your subject

as well as saved in the cloud.

And btw - Easy Release also handles property releases.

So there you have it gang.

These are my MUST have smartphone photography apps.

Be sure to check out the link below the video that will take you to my blog article containing

all of this information and the links to the various apps.

Feel free to bookmark it and I will keep the information updated as things change and new

and better apps are introduced.

Now you understand why I said in the first video that the best camera you have is your

smartphone.

It is an excellent tool to help you develop your ability to see and keep your creative

edge when you don't have the time to pick up and setup your dslr.

It is also an incredibly powerful tool for planning and executing most any kind of shoot.

Let me know in the comments what apps that you find really useful.

Hey, please hit that thumbs up and subscribe so that you don't miss any videos and until

next time go pick up that camera and shoot something because your BEST shot - it's

your NEXT shot, so keep learning, keep thinking, keep shooting.

Adios!

WINNER Rocks The Stage On "Party People," Reflects On Past With Park Jin Young

WINNER brought all their charms on the August 27 episode of s Party People. After a medley of their song, including REALLY REALLY and Island, the group sat down to talk with Park Jin Young.

Lee Seung Hoon was happy to be reunited with Park Jin Young, who had been his mentor on SBSs K-Pop Star. Park Jin Young told Lee Seung Hoon, It seems like youve clearly entered a more relaxed state.

I still have memories of you showing us your artistic side through freestyle, even during the survival rounds when you only had a short amount of time. The host ambushed the young star with a song he prepared so he could show off his impromptu freestyle abilities.

Soompi. Display. News. English. 300x250. Mobile. English. 300x250. ATF. Next, the group began to discuss Song Minos onstage and offstage personality. Kang Seung Yoon stated, There is a huge gap between the Song Mino you see onstage and his real personality..

He continued, Onstage, he is really sexy, charismatic, and strong, but in reality he is a really cute and not a macho-type at all! Song Minho responded to this description of himself by saying, Arent I a little bit macho? to which Kang Seung Yoon responded, Not at all!.

Next, the group talked about Kim Jin Woo. Kang Seung Yoon stated about his fellow member, Hes the biggest out of all of us, but he has a really soft heart.

He always is worrying that we will lose out. He has that soft of a heart..

He continued, However, he is becoming a bit of a narcissist about his looks. At first he was really when people told him he was attractive, but now he just agrees! Everyone thought this was hilarious.

The group moved on to discuss the background of the dance to Love Me, Love Me. Lee Seung Hoon stated, We combined the original choreography and showed it to Yang Hyun Suk.

He responded with just three words: This is strange. He gave us some ideas and we changed the choreography. At Park Jin Youngs request, the group showed the beginning of the songs original choreography.

WINNER revealed that Wonder Girls track Nobody was the song that they would have really liked to have.  We really wanted to sing that song ourselves.

Luckily, the group was allowed to present their version of the song on the show, which, when featuring Song Minos rap and Kang Seung Yoon and Kim Jin Woos vocals, held an entirely different feeling than that of the original track.

Park Jin Young responded to the performance saying, We certainly have to do casting for this.

If you raised [Yoon] Jong Shins royalty earnings seven years ago, today you raised it for me, referring to when Yoon Jong Shins By Instinct became popular because of Kang Seung Yoons performance of it on Superstar K..

Vigil in Memory of Otto Warmbier - Duration: 40:26.

Good evening.

My name is Sarah Kenny, and I serve the Student Council President.

On behalf of the University of Virginia Student Body,

I would like to extend my welcome

and my gratitude

for those of you joining us this evening.

To the students, staff, faculty

administrators and community members

who have had the great pleasure of knowing Otto,

I offer my most sincere condolences

for the inconceivable loss

of this friend, scholar and community member.

To Otto's family

I offer my prayers and my empathy

for the horrific tragedy that you are facing

in the loss of your son, your brother.

Although President Sullivan

is unfortunately unable to attend

this evening's vigil,

she has asked that we share the following words

I deeply regret that I am unable to be there tonight for the vigil

due to previously planned travel

please know that I will pause at this hour

to join in your spirit of grief and remembrance

as you gather to honor the memory of Otto.

All of us in the University community

are profoundly saddened by his death

and we are outraged by the circumstances that led to it.

We condemn the horrendous treatment

that certainly contributed to Otto's condition in North Korea.

Even if we denounce these evil acts,

we continue to hope and believe

that the forces of love and goodness

will overcome evil in the end.

And even as we grieve,

we fondly remember and celebrate

Otto's joyful attitude, sharp intellect, and adventurous spirit.

We will remember Otto's finest qualities

long after today.

We will continue to hold the Warmbier family

in our thoughts and prayers in the difficult days ahead.

And I encourage you to rely on one another

for solace and support.

I encourage you to look to the faces of the friends

and to the strangers gathered here tonight.

And to search for strength

for courage

in the forces of love and goodness

that each one of us holds within.

I, who witnessed that love and goodness

in the individuals who worked tirelessly

to make tonight's vigil possible

and to all of you, I am grateful.

My wish for tonight is that

we are able to begin the healing process

the process that will require time, self-care, and faith

at both the individual and the collective level.

This evening, you will hear from the Commonwealth Secretary of Education

Ms. Trent on behalf of Governor McAuliffe

and you will hear the blessing from Professor Peter Ochs

of most importance

you will hear from those who knew and loved Otto

to formally bring this vigil to a close

you will hear from the leader of the class 2017

the class that Otto should have walked down the lawn with

just this past May

Following Josh's remarks

we invite those of you who feel so compelled

to share a memory, a sentiment

about the dear friend, we have so unjustly lost

Otto, although many of us never had the privilege of knowing you,

you have inspired us with the legacy

that will forever be part of the University of Virginia Community

Good evening, UVA Community

My name is Dietra Trent and I am Secretary of Education

I am deeply saddened by this occasion

and I know that there are absolutely no words

that can be said at this point

to bring consolation to this community

or to the world for that matter

I think we are all in awe and shock

and dismay for the evil acts

of one who deserves absolutely

no recognition, no acknowledgment, what-so-ever

and I don't

hope not to get too political

I'm a little furious at this

at what has happened

The Governor unfortunately is overseas on a Trade Mission

he left on Saturday, or Sunday

and was not able to be here

when we did the invitation to attend, he asked that I come

and extend his condolences

and he did send a letter from he and his wife

and I'd like to read it at this time.

Dear Friends

Dorothy and I extend our deepest condolences

upon the tragic death of Otto Frederick Warmbier

who just left the University and the country shocked and saddened

As a Theta Chi Fraternity brother and student of McIntire School of Commerce

Otto was an engaging and brilliant young man

with a promising future.

In high school, Otto was Homecoming King and captain of this soccer team

as well as Salutatorian of his graduating class

Around the University of Virginia Grounds,

Otto was known for his unique style and collegial spirit

I'm sure that his kindness, love and devotion to family and friends

will never be forgotten

I'm truly inspired to see the UVA Community come together

in solidarity due on this time

Otto's untimely death has brightly sparked

public outlay across the nation

he was undeserving of his treatment by the North Korea regime

and we as Virginians condemn these actions

We must continue to face evil with the unified front

to ensure that this tragedy is never repeated

My prayers remain with the Otto Warmbier's family

and friends, and the UVA Community during this time

Thank you.

Good evening

Professor Vanessa Ochs is far away tonight

and unable to come, but she sent me these words

to speak to you

I am Professor Peter Ochs

Vanessa Ochs offers words as we gather tonight

Words from Otto's dearest tradition

we remember Otto and hold him and his family in our hearts

we share two prayers

First,

these words of Poet Zelda

each of us has a name given by God

and given by our parents

Each of us has a name

given by our stature and our smile

and given by what we wear

Each of us has a name

given by the mountains

and given by our walls

Each of us has a name

given by the stars

and given by our neighbors

Each of us has a name

given by our sins

and given by our longing

Each of us has a name

given by our enemies

and given by our love

Each of us has a name

given by our celebrations

and given by our work

Each of us has a name

given by the seasons

and given by our blindness

Each of us has a name

given by the sea

and given by our death.

At Otto's family funeral

his family will be reciting the words

of the Jewish prayers for Mourner's Kaddish

These are not words one might expect

a mourner to utter, since they say nothing about

death, and loss

and speak instead almost counter intuitively

about the abiding presence of God

How can we speak these words

when our hearts are so torn

the words hold us together

there are mysteries we can not fathom

we share these ancient words with you now

and as you hear them

please join me in words with your hearts

to pray that Otto's family and friends

will be comforted in time

by the blessing of his memories

If it is your habit, please rise

you may also sit

(Mourner's Kaddish)

Good evening

My name is Kevin Davoli

and I was one of Otto's pledge brothers

It's an honor and privilege to be in front of you all tonight

on behalf of the brothers of Theta Chi here at UVA

We are heartbroken at the loss of one of our closest friend, Otto Warmbier

Even with heavy hearts, we are comforted by the outpouring

love and support from the UVA community

and we thank you all for being here tonight to remember and celebrate

an incredible person, and an extraordinary life that he led.

Otto truly was one of a kind

He had such an uncommon charisma

that made every interaction with him unforgettable

those lucky enough to have known him through the kind of impression he can leave.

From his sharp intellect to his unique, and sometimes peculiar taste

Otto was someone who followed his passion with unwavering bravery

He lived his life with ambition and integrity

always showing respect to his friends, brothers

classmates and family

We first came to know Otto in spring of 2014

upon receiving bids to join Theta Chi

His fun loving attitude quickly made him the life of the party

and someone whose energy was infectious at all hours of the day

Otto went out of his way to invest himself in our lives deeply

and at times, pushed his limits to make us feel comfortable

or make sure that we made it home safely

He was big on human connection,

and valued inner personal relationships heavily

often skipping handshakes upon introduction

in exchange for a 'bring it in,' or "let's hug it out' and a tight embrace.

Otto had a passion for adventure like nobody else

whether it was his pursuit for unbeatable hummus in Israel

on a Birthright trip with members of our pledge class

or confidently leading the exploration of a city he had never been to.

Otto's curiosity led with grace in a manner that only astounded

He was brilliant but never made you feel less than

helpful but never invasive

captivating but never overbearing

One of my favorite things about Otto was his eye for thrifting

the man had bins of unique items he had accumulated in regularly

Things I don't know where they made, but thin

My favorite piece was this yellow cardigan

spotted with lighthouses from around the country that he kept hung on his closet

He'd let me wear it just once

but it wasn't only about him

Otto frequently bought items for his friends

when he thought that would suit them better

never expecting anything in return

Billy, who will be speaking later, and I are both wearing pieces

we got thrifting earlier today

We all have plenty of stories I can tell here

some probably not appropriate for this venue

that will live on in our hearts and minds indefinitely

It's surreal that he's gone, especially in this way

but I know Otto is looking down on us

smiling that goofy smile of his.

I'll close with some remarks one of our pledge brothers

Tim McKinney wrote in the Facebook post yesterday

commemorating Otto's time with us.

Otto, you are model for all

in drive, energy, compassion, and friendship

Your abounding love for life and all its highs and lows

inspires me always to go out and seize every day.

Your grit and will, your ability to put your nose to the grindstone,

to meet goals and not take "no" for an answer,

showed me how much influence we can have in our world.

Your quick wit, usually good humor

and positive energy lit up rooms and changed moods.
