Youtube daily report Jan 16 2018

Hello, I'm Jill.

This is ASL Stew Life!

(cat meow) ♪♪♪

Hello, welcome. Long time no video.

Obviously if you're following our social media,

that means that you know our son, Mikko, was born.

Let me show you.

Hopefully he stays asleep.

♪♪♪

Anyways, Mikko doesn't have a sign name yet,

but we'll do that in the future.

He was born January 5, 2018.

So.... today's Saturday, so last Friday.

By the time I put this up it will be 2 weeks.

But anyways, 1 week and 2 days old because

I'm filming this on Sunday.... yeah.

So he has been growing really well.

He was born 7 pounds, 15 oz. So almost 8 pounds.

Then during the hospital stay he lost weight.

Meaning he left the hospital at 7 pounds, 4.5 ounces.

So lost quite a bit.

But I'll explain more of that later in the birth vlog what happened.

But he's fine.

Now he has gained weight back and he is up to 8 pounds.

So, yeah he is 8 pounds exactly two days ago I believe.

We went to the doctor and he weighed 8 pounds, so great!

So, what has been going on the first week?

Ummm....

long story short... I'm not going to explain too much in detail,

but I'm not able to breastfeed.

I tried.... I'll explain more later, but it didn't work.

So right now he is using formula.

Not what I had planned, but that's okay.

What's important is he's being fed

and it's what's best for him and our family.

So if you don't like that, then I'm sorry.

Don't leave a comment. I don't want to hear it to be honest.

It's been struggle enough for me.

But anyways, if you have any tips related to bottle feeding,

umm let me know. I'd appreciate it!

He's a great sleeper.

Right now typically he sleeps more during the day.

Overnight he drags it out and is awake quite a bit.

So sometimes overnight I don't really get any sleep.

But right now Jenna's home for about a good month.

So until about the beginning of February.

So that means she typically sleeps overnight.

I let her sleep unless I really need her.

Then I try to sleep during the day

or if he sleeps overnight I'll sleep at the same time with him.

So I try to get it when I can.

Trying to get used to having broken sleep and whatnot.

Other than that he's pretty much a normal baby.

Eat, sleep, poop, pee.

You know, that kind of routine.

Newborns don't really do too much, so not much to explain.

He already has a "new" routine that he likes to do.

He pees while we change his diaper.

So I think I've been peed on at least

two or three times already and pooped on... on my hands. (laughs)

Jenna's had it happen a few times.

Recently we've been trying to open his diaper...

wait... and then put the new one in,

but then he'll pee.

So we're going through diapers quite a bit more often than we should.

Hopefully I can cloth diaper soon

because that will save a lot of money there

especially because we're paying for formula.

That's quite expensive.

We already talked that out with his pediatrician

to find a good, cheap brand that is still healthy for him.

I looked online and it said that the Kirkland brand,

or the Costco brand you can buy for much cheaper.

Our doctor said it is the exact same one as Similac.

Literally they just label the cans differently.

So there's literally no difference.

It's healthy. It's been tested, approved, everything.

So that's all good.

Right now we're using the Enfamil,

but then we'll switch over and hopefully he can tolerate that.

Now for me, physically postpartum, 1 week.

Umm.. I've had a lot of issues

because the birth itself was very, very hard.

You'll see later in the birth story.

But it was pretty awful for me.

Long story short, I had a 2nd degree tear

plus I had an episiotomy.

It's not what I wanted, but he was having issues so I had that.

So quite a lot of stitching down there, and quite a bit of pain.

I think...

there's just a lot of recovery for me

trying to rest as much as possible and do what I can.

I'm moving okay.

If I need to, I can use my Dermaplast spray.

But most of the time I'm doing okay.

Umm, I've had a little bit of uterine contractions.

Sometimes If I stand up, or even if I'm sitting,

I'll feel this tightening pain. I'm assuming that's that.

I'm not sure.

I'm not sure exactly how that works if I'm not breastfeeding.

Typically that's what helps to shrink down your uterus.

So hopefully it will work.

To be honest that's about it.

There's not too much to update.

Hopefully you liked the video.

Oh, let me know any other information you want to know,

but do remember I'll have the birth story which will explain a lot

of what happened before, during the hospital, and all of that.

Most of the pictures and updates will be on Instagram.

So definitely follow me on Instagram.

I'll have the link down below.

Umm yeah, that's about it!

Hopefully you enjoyed this video.

If you did, click LIKE, remember to subscribe.

Hit the notification bell so you know when the next video comes out.

Hopefully the next one should be a vlog.

Which will include some pre-birth plus that first week.

It's very, very random to be totally honest.

Mentally just haven't been there

and I haven't been doing that great the first week.

So...

umm....

yeah...

that's one thing I guess I should add in.

This week I've gone through the breastfeeding journey

and trying to do that and failing.

Has made this week really mentally the worst time ever of my life to be totally honest.

I feel like a big failure and

it's just been really hard to let go of that dream of wanting to breastfeed.

But my body, my breasts just didn't develop

and they won't provide the milk that he needs

and it's overly frustrating trying to do that and pumping and everything.

So it just didn't work.

I already spoke with the pediatrician and got her medical opinion

and I trust her very much.

She's a great doctor!

That's why the next vlog will be very random.

Just a few short clips.

You know, I'm trying.

Hopefully I'll improve and get better with the vlogs from now on.

But just be patient with us.

Because if I'm mentally not there, we're not gonna vlog.

Just to be honest, but anyways that aside.

Umm, yeah if you want to support this channel,

you can do so through our ASL Stew merch store.

We have shirts and stickers there.

Hopefully we will open that up soon.

Right now it's closed just because of baby.

But hopefully we'll get that open soon again.

Or you can do monthly which is Patreon.

Monthly donation and there's cool perks for that.

Or a one-time any amount donation through Ko-fi.

We really appreciate all of your support.

Thanks and see you in the next video. Bye!

Let's show you Mikko!

Steven Spielberg: Oprah would make a brilliant president and I will back her - Duration: 5:29.

Steven Spielberg: Oprah would make a brilliant president and I will back her, The undeclared

but burgeoning campaign to elect Oprah Winfrey the next president of the United States has

received another boost, with the full-throated backing of one of Hollywood's biggest figures:

Steven Spielberg.

"I think Oprah Winfrey would make an absolutely brilliant president," the Oscar-winning

director told the Guardian on Thursday.

Spielberg, in London to promote his new movie The Post, said: "If she declares, I will

back her."

Speculation about a Winfrey presidential run in 2020 took off following Sunday's Golden

Globes awards ceremony, where the TV host and impresario delivered a barnstorming

and intensely political speech.

Afterwards her partner, Stedman Graham, told the Los Angeles Times: "It's up to

the people.

She would absolutely do it."

Spielberg, widely acclaimed as the most commercially successful film-maker in cinema history, was

effusive in his praise:

"She is crackerjack on the money on women's issues and I call her the ambassador of empathy.

And our country could use a dose of empathy right now."

Spielberg, who directed Winfrey in his 1985 film The Color Purple, said the actor-turned-TV-mogul

would be a unifying figure.

"She's been on the air for 35 years with all kinds of social outreach, building bridges

between different

ideologies and different points of view."

Asked if she has the skill set to be president, he replied, "Does our current president

have the skill set to be president?"

Pressed on whether Democrats should look to replace Donald Trump with a candidate with

governing experience rather than another TV celebrity, Spielberg said: "I think we need

a mindful, empathetic human being in the White House who understands people and puts people

ahead of their own ideas of power and self-aggrandisement – and I think Oprah has

already proved her capacity for selflessness."

He noted that previous presidents had often arrived in office having fulfilled no role

comparable to the US presidency.

"I think she'll learn on the job the same way Bill Clinton learned – a former governor

of Arkansas – or Barack Obama, a junior senator, learned on the job.

I'd much rather go for someone like Oprah Winfrey than a career politician."

Asked if his endorsement was serious, Spielberg said it was and that he'd "like the next

president to be a president of the people".

Spielberg was speaking ahead of a press conference in London for The Post, at which the film's

star Meryl Streep said Winfrey talked like a presidential candidate should talk, and

that she had the voice of a leader.

"Whether she is leading us to the candidate we need or whether she herself is a candidate,

she sets the bar pretty high on campaign talk."

Asked about the #MeToo and Time's Up movements Streep said we were seeing a "global seismic

change".

She said: "As a movement it is pretty interesting to be involved because there isn't a leadership

hierarchy, we don't know who the top

dog is.

We have a hive, it is like a hive of bees, there are more and more coming in.

Everybody is making honey, everybody is doing the good work.

"It is a moving thing and that's good because it needs to fly, it needs to alight

on many different industries, many different enterprises ... government, military, the

church.

The inequities and the imbalance of power isn't just in Hollywood.

The exploitation of women, their labour and their reticence to come forward... that goes

right through societies, not just in the United States.

"It is a growing thing and the most heartening thing for me is that it doesn't feel like

a one-off, I don't think we'll go backwards."

Streep added that the movie industry, of course, needed to be diverse; a sentiment echoed by

her co-star Tom Hanks who said, when it came to diversity, "television kicks movies'

ass".

"In television, which is probably better than it has ever been ... women are much better

represented than they are in motion pictures."

Hanks said he had worked with women directors such as Penny Marshall and Nora Ephron.

"I'm of the generation who, frankly, didn't give too much of a shit about the gender of

the person in charge."

The Post, which tells the story of the 1971 battle by the Washington Post to publish the

Pentagon Papers – detailing decades of US government dishonesty over the war in Vietnam

– and which champions the role of the press, is also set to be seen as a coded attack on

the Trump administration, which has made no secret of its hostility to what it calls "the

fake news media."

US readies North Korea INVASION FORCE as troops hold secret drills under LIVE FIRE - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 3:34.

US readies North Korea INVASION FORCE as troops hold secret drills under LIVE FIRE

DONALD Trump is about to send a huge strike force to Kim Jong-un's doorstep as the US

military practices for an invasion of North Korea.

At US military bases across America, more than 1,000 reserve soldiers are getting ready

to be moved overseas.

They will practise setting up mobilisation centres, which quickly ship troops abroad

to warzones.

As the Winter Olympics kick off in South Korea next month, the Pentagon is also thought to

be considering sending more Special Operations soldiers to the Peninsula.

Special Ops have been deployed to large global events before – like the 2014 World Cup

in Brazil – but their numbers will supposedly be far greater this year.

The deployment could see the formation of a Korea strike force ready to cripple Kim's

dictatorship.

The US will also carry out military exercises this year where troops are placed in chemically

contaminated environments that could be found in North Korea.

Special Ops will also work to counter weapons of mass destruction – including nuclear

and ballistic missiles.

At Fort Bragg in North Carolina last month, 48 Apache gunships and Chinook helicopters

practised moving troops and equipments under live artillery fire.

Two days later, 119 soldiers parachuted out of C-17 military cargo planes in a simulation

of a foreign invasion.

The Army's chief of staff, General Mark A Milley, is worried that US troops have forgotten

how to fight a land war.

He said: "Do not wait on orders and printed new regulations and new manuals.

"Put simply, I want you to get ready for what might come, and do not do any tasks that

do not directly contribute to increasing combat readiness in your unit."

The US and its allies have already stepped up military drills in a bid to intimidate

Kim.

In December, thousands of US troops and 230 airplanes descended on the peninsula after

his latest missile test.

Officials are said to be preparing for a war with the dictator, even after recent promising

signs.

North and South Korea held talks last Tuesday where the regime agreed to send a high-level

delegation to the Winter Games in the South.

Seoul also proposed that the two Koreas' athletes march together at the opening ceremony.

It was the first high-level contact between the countries in more than two years.

Kim paved the way for the talks during an optimistic New Year's Day speech – but

still insisted that North Korea would produce nuclear missiles of operational deployment.

He and US President Donald Trump have exchanged barbed insults ever since the Republican took

the Oval Office.

The Donald has repeatedly referred to Kim as "rocket man" and "a sick puppy".

Attitude Affects Results! - Duration: 5:26.

As a professional speaker, my most requested keynote presentation is called

"Attitude, Action, Traction". And in my opinion, that first part, attitude, is the

most important as far as the impact it has on your results.

Today's Motivational Firewood™ video was inspired by a New Year's Eve wait at a

Chinese food restaurant. Ohhhh, we saw some attitude that night!

Here we go.

Welcome back to the Motivational Firewood™ YouTube channel

Steve Gamlin here, talking today about attitude. According to an on-line

dictionary: attitude is the way you think or feel about something and how it

affects your behavior, in response to those feelings. On New Year's Eve, Tina

and I had called in a Chinese food order, that's a very popular dish on New Year's

Eve! We asked them for the time to pick it up and they said seven o'clock. We got

there about five minutes of, paid for it and were told it was gonna take a

little bit of time to wait. Well, about 7:15, the lobby area was starting to be

populated by grumbling, grouchy people who were there to pick up their food

which was not ready yet. One of the staff members said: "If you'd like to go on the

other side of the room" (there was an ante room, a little bar area on the other side

of the glass), "you could wait there". And what I found out very quickly: it was

also populated by people who were grouching and grumbling...much less.

See, when things don't go our way it's okay to get upset about it. But, if you

continue to grind on it, as the people near the entrance were doing...I watched

it first-hand. It seemed every time somebody came in to pick up their order,

a person seated near the door managed to shout out, like a time check: "We've been

waiting for...(this long)". I get it. Things happen. If you've got a house full of people

waiting on this food, I get it...you're frustrated. But they continued to trumpet

over and over and over and over, how miserable they were, so that the staff

and everybody else around them, could hear them. Hey...I was waiting too. I was on

the other side of the glass. What did I discover on the other side of that glass?

People who were willing to make that little journey to the other side of the

restaurant were having a freaking ball. We were all waiting. We were all

frustrated. But guess what? Complaining is not gonna get us

anywhere. So, on the other side of that glass, some of us just started making the

other people around us laugh. And the first one was: "Man, if I could have just

read one of the names on the bags that was ready, I would have said: That's me!"

And just hoped that the bag was not full of something like squid. And as I started

to make jokes, other people in there started to as well. Then a staff member

came in and asked: "Would anybody like a free drink on the house? We appreciate

you waiting". The people at the table behind me said: "We've heard great things

about your Mai Tais...we'll have two!" We sat there and we just shared as much positive

energy as we could. We were all waiting. It was New Year's Eve. But what I figured

out was, all the people who stayed near the door, continued to grouch and the

people who came on our side...understood what was going on, understood the

situation wasn't perfect and made the best of it. And, matter of fact, after we

finished watching one of the football games that was on, we saw a really cool

news piece on Make-A-Wish, which is one of my favorite nonprofits, and then

another woman came, in sat down and then turned and asked: "Do you mind if I change

the channel over to the Three Stooges Marathon?" I love The Three Stooges...'Coitanly!

And we spent the last 20 minutes waiting for our food, right up until

nine o'clock (two hours late) laughing and watching the Three Stooges.

As we got our food, we received again a profound apology from the staff, a $10

gift card to come back and enjoy their food one more time, and then as we made

our way out the door, realized the people that were sitting in the seats, even

though the faces were different...were still bitching. Like a really bad tote

board they kept letting everybody know how long they'd been waiting. See, it

comes down to attitude. The world is not a perfect place. but here's the cool part:

You have 100% responsibility over how you react to it. Are there things that

happen in this world that do deserve an angry response? Sure! Are there things

totally out of our control that some people flip out over, screaming and

kicking and stomping their feet...which gets them absolutely nowhere except a

really crappy day, and gets all the people around them really annoyed?

Yeah. So how will you respond to what's going on in the world today? What's going

on under your roof at home? What's going on at your place of business? How will

you react? Will you choose a way to just go along as best you can? To try for a

decent outcome? Or are you gonna kick and scream and basically cannonball into a

septic tank? Just making it worse, make it messy and making it stink.

It's up to you. Which one are you gonna choose? What attitude are you going to have on

full display...today?

If you'd like to have access to more pieces of Motivational

Firewood™, just like this one, click on my face down there, hit that notification

bell, so you will be alerted next time one of these videos comes out.

Until next time...take care.

I thought I'd go in there and pick up a box of nickels which I did so I'm hoping

this is a uncirculated box first and foremost that's the first order of

business we got to get to let's check that out

and obviously by two different coin fronts and that coin right there and

that one right there we know it is a circulated box of coins so with that

being said let's get started if we find something cool as usual well loop you in

I want to mine number one I'm still looking for a few key dates here I'm

still in search of a 38 San Francisco a 39 Denver a 43 silver Denver and a 1950

D as well let's get to huntin We're off to a great start first roll in and about a

third of the way through the roll we've already got ourselves a 1941 plain I

will take it start us off with a 40s coin and we'll see what else is going on

in the box all right guys this is pretty amazing

I put the roll back because I told you I be checking Enders as I pulled him out

so let me show you what I did I pulled it out and I saw this which is a newer

Jefferson nickel and I flip it over and we've got a buffalo under and it's the

head side up with a 1935 date shown that my friend is a beautiful beautiful ender

I'm actually going to wait to open this to last if you recall on my last video

that I recorded that had a buffalo ender he had a friend with him now I'm not

expecting a friend to be with this one but this is my second ever

Buffalo ender and we're only in the sixth rolls now we pull out a couple of

50s and a 40 as you see in a couple o nine so we're not off to a bad start but

isn't that beautiful Wow let's get back to the hunt and we'll

get to that one later 13th roll on the box guys we got

ourselves a 1940 plain it is beat up but it ain't our second 40s coin which is

good and we've got five 50s and 3 - '09's and it's we're only in the 13th roll and

really we're in the 12th roll because if you recall we've got a Buffalo ender

alright let's see what's in this 13th roll and we'll keep on hunting very next

roll, roll number 14 boom 1947 D add that to the 40's and let's get back to

the hunt okay guys 28 roll in and we got another 40s coin got ourselves a 1948

plain put that here at the 40 so little over happens in the box we have four

from the 40s 11 from the 50s 4- '09s and you know I've been really fond of these

uh I know it's not a black beauty air year the 58 and 59 coin but it is in

1970 and it's a 1970s so it's also got that dark toning which I like and it's

not a bad shape really so I figured I'd pull it out just cut the toning is

awesome we'll put it aside may not keep it but anyway just want to show you

let's get back to the hunt hopefully we find some more cool things like a

buffalo or silver remember we still have a buffalo Endor sitting right here and

that's awesome okay guys 34th roll of the box and it's got the look

right here you can see it you can tell most of the time if they're silver

sometimes it's toning but typically when they have that yellowing green look yeah

well they have that yellowing green look they're almost always a silver if I can

pull it out that would be nice oh you can already see it 1944 so we've got our

first silver grab this guy out of here yep 1944 San Francisco it's in rough

shape but it's still worth its weight and silver good old dollar coin right

there put it down here with the cool fines so we've got our first silver of

the box we know we have a Buffalo ender right there it's a 35 so let's get back

to the hut maybe there's still some magic in this box

all right guys 40 first throw the box and I almost didn't really catch it

because it's hard to read first I thought it said 44 but it's it's a 41

pretty beat-up looks like it's a 41 d yeah 41 D it's beat up but it's another

40s coin so we'll stick it in there but a nice of a silver but it's not alright

guys we finished the rolls in the box you'll remember I pulled this Buffalo

entered to the side and so let me set the camera up and we're gonna open this

live and you know I thought I'd find another buffalo nickel in the box

considering I had an ender in the early rolls but that wasn't the case it would

be odd if there's only one Buffalo in the box and it happened to be an ender

but it's not like it can't happen so that being said we are hoping for

friends but if we don't get any still cool to have the anticipation opening a

buffalo nickel ender even though we can see the date' kind of bummer we already

know what it is so no surprises there but we don't know if it's a D or an S or

just a philadelphia so let me get this open let me get the camera set up let's

hope he has friends

Buffalo is on this side always good to remember where you got them I'll lay

them out where you can see them and we'll start with the buffalo nickel off

to the side we'll take a look at him in a second let me just run through these

and see if there's any key dates in here or any good nickels at all and it looks

like there's not any other big nickels in the roll guys so let's go ahead and

pick up the camera and take a look at this buffalo nickel not a bad-looking

nickel got a good clean 1935 date let's flip him over and see if he has a mint

work he does would you look at that let me put him down and he's got an S

midmark guys an s mint mark that's awesome I don't have a 1935 s mint mark

buffalo nickel and now we have one I'm gonna look at it under the loop just to

confirm it's not playing tricks on me and I'll give you a little history on

the 1935 s buffalo nickel here in a second

alright guys I did a little research a 1935 s Buffalo is the lowest mintage

buffalo nickel for the 1935 year there was about 58 million from Philadelphia

12 million from Denver and 10 million 300,000 from San Francisco not a lot of

value in it only about a buck or two but we're not looking for not looking

for them just for their value we're looking for them for their

collectability and the fact that there's only a little over 10 million minted of

these means it's a little tougher than normal poll and again I don't have a

1935 s matter of fact I think it's only my second or third San Francisco mint

minted buffalo nickel that I have currently from corner all hunting so I'm

excited about that he looks pretty good let me give you a roundup of the box not

a bad box we end up with six 2009's 14 from the 50s and we got some good years

here we got a couple of 50 ones a couple of fifty threes of 54 and a 55 we've got

a 56 a couple of them we've got two 57 to 58 and 259 s so we have every year

except for 50 of course and 52 not bad 40s we only got five of we got a 1940

not very good shape couple of forty ones a forty seven and a

forty eight and then of course we also got a 1944 San Francisco mint silver war

nickel so the key finds of the box we ended up

with a nice score got another silver war nickels as well as a 1935 San Francisco

minted buffalo nickel I'll take that any day I hope you enjoyed this hunt with me

if you did please give the video a thumbs up and guys as always thanks for

watching

[Eng sub] Trader Joe's Vegetarian Groceries Haul | Ăn chay thì đi chợ mua gì? - Duration: 15:01.

Hello everyone.

Welcome back to Butterfingers Kitchen

Today I am sharing with you

my vegetarian groceries haul

The store I went to this time is Trader Joe's

If you live in America, I am sure you've heard of it

This store is more expensive than other stores

Normally when I am not on a vegetarian diet, I usually go to Asian stores

I usually would go to H Mart

Because I would need more specialized ingredients to cook Asian dishes

But now I am on a vegetarian diet, so I eat more simple

So I choose Trader Joe's because it's near my apartment

I can even walk there

These are all the things I got from Trader Joe's

I will introduce each of them to you

and briefly tell you what I am going to cook with them

I will start with eggs

I still eat eggs on a vegetarian diet because it's really quick to cook

When I am too busy or too hungry out a sudden

I can make egg fried rice or a sunny side up with toast

I bought eggs this time

because I want to make a video on avocado toast with poached egg

It's quite popular here

Stay tuned for the video!

Next one would be fresh produce

I will start with banana

Banana is a very nutritious kind of fruit

I like to eat toast with peanut butter and banana

So I usually get banana

Next will be blueberries

Blueberries are delicious

and they contain a lot of antioxidants

Rumor has it that if you eat blueberries everyday, you will be pretty

I hope I will be pretty

so I bought them LOL

That's it for fruits

Now it's vegetables time

I didn't get any roots this time

This is shredded cabbage

I am super lazy, so I like to get already prep vegetables

I know that it's cheaper to get a whole cabbage

But I usually can't finish them before they go bad

Then it would go to waste

In the end it's still a waste of money

So I get this

It's already shredded and washed, so I can just throw it in when I cook

On the package it says "High in Vitamin C"

It's good for my immune system, then

Broccoli florets

Also trimmed and washed

Next one is mushroom. I love mushroom

All kinds of mushroom, from asian to western

Because they are tasty and...healthy I guess?

This is organic

There are A LOT of organic products in Trader Joe's

If possible, I like to get organic stuff

because I feel a little more safe eating it

While I am not sure that they're REALLY organic

But let's just believe they are

I wanted to get CILANTRO

The price tag said "Cilantro"

But I picked the "Parsley" one instead

They look kinda similar

I don't really know what parsley is in Vietnamese

But I gotta use it anyways now that I got it

Next time I will be more careful

I will read both the tag and the package LOL

This one you have to wash before use

Frozen produce

Green peas imported from Denmark

I got frozen ones for the same reason

I don't want them to go to waste before I can finish them

I can sauté them or put them into my soup

I usually only use a little bit each time,

so frozen one makes more sense

Frozen berries medley

Raspberry, blueberry and strawberry

I got this to make Açaí bowl with this yogurt too

It's also organic and high in vitamin D

Because I don't wanna suffer from malnutrition

so I have to get my nutrients from different sources

That's not animals or fish

Yogurt is one of them

I am gonna link my Açaí bowl recipe up here for you

Açaí and blueberries both have antioxidants

so it's supposed to make you pretty LOL

My food Moto is "Eat delicious, eat healthy and...eat...pretty" LOL

It's snacks time

This is dried cranberries

Orange flavored cranberries

There are a lot of specialized products at Trader Joe's

Only available at Trader Joe's

The other day I got this Thai Lime & Chili Cashews

It was bomb!

That's another reason why I like Trader Joe's

This is similar to raisins

I usually snack on these

or nuts

such as almond, cashew or pistachio

They are more healthy than potato chips

I like potato chips too but they make me break out

and cough

so I try to eat these instead

They're actually tasty too

I got cranberry because somebody at home doesn't like raisin

And this is crackers

There was a huge selection of these at Trader Joe's

But I can't really tell the difference

So I ended up getting this one

Trader Joe's brand

It says here "No Artificial Colors and Flavors"

and "No Preservatives"

I will believe you baby

Milk. I used to like cow milk and goat milk when I was a kid

Now I don't like milk that comes from animals anymore. I don't know why

I like non-dairy milk more

such as almond milk, cashew milk, soy milk

This is the first time I found this, Rice milk

It's organic

and unsweetened

It has a lot of calcium, vitamin D and vitamin B12

It's made from brown rice, so more healthy

I don't know if this taste good, but I hope it will

I am excited to try

But I still have some almond milk in the fridge

I will try this when I finish the other one

This is vegetable broth

For soup or stew

When I started cooking,

I used to make this from scratch

But it takes a lot of time

and making big portion would be more economical

But I usually can't finish them before they go bad

When I was in Vietnam, I preferred to eat soup, noodle soup, or anything with soup

But when I have to cook it, I don't like it anymore LOL

I got this because it's convenient for me

It won't go bad too quickly

It's organic, low sodium, low calorie and fat free

Hopefully it's more healthy than the other brands

Of course it's better to make it from scratch

but I am too lazy for that

This is the last one

I am so excited about this

It's like a kind of Italian dumpling or pasta

This one is actually from Italy, so I am even more excited

It has filling inside

Usually lobster

or cheese

Those are my top favorites

But this one is butternut squash ravioli

I don't know if we have this in Vietnam

But I am gonna put a picture here so you can tell me if we have it over there

I never went groceries shopping in Vietnam so I have no clue

I love butternut squash because they are soooo delicious

I usually make butter squash soup

With heavy cream

It's so hearty

After this I will cook this ravioli up and eat it

Hopefully it's gonna be goooood

This is everything I bought from Trader Joe's yesterday

Hopefully it lasts me a week

I hope it should last me at least a week

I spent 39$ in total

I think it's not too much for organic and already prepped products

I should stop blabbering. I am gonna go cook now

Bring some water to a boil, add some sea salt

and olive oil

When water boils, I will add ravioli

cook 3 minutes

Now it's time for the verdict

It's actually really good

Because butternut squash tastes so good

I think this mic would record my chewing sound so well LOL

Just wanna let you know that it tastes really good

Now I will turn this off and eat

Goodbye! See you all soon in another video!

Modern Shakespearean Sonnet 53. A Woman Makes The World Around Her, by Andrew Barker - Duration: 1:14.

Hi, I'm Andrew Barker. This is "Modern Shakespearean Sonnet Number 53:

A Woman Makes the World Around Her." I left the filth of father's world to learn/

That father's greed was not to taste my heart./ Assimilated girl, not mixed but spun,/

The type they put on posters. Worldwide-smart/ Enough to know each home is mere default/

A setting most accept. Not those like me,/ Who take existence

with a shot of salt/ And look away from life's vulgarity./ Today we trade from

Shanghai. Covered skin;/ Those understand the worth of ladies gloves/

Who shape a white silk world to hold life in:/ A woman touches only what she loves./

How silk can smooth away the present's hurt,/ And salt can make the world taste how you want./

Thank you. That was "Sonnet 53" from "Joyce is Not Here: 101 Modern

Shakespearean Sonnets." If you enjoyed that please Comment, Like, Subscribe.

BREAKING!! Sanctuary City Sheriff Might Be THROWN In FEDERAL PRISON! HELL YEA! - Duration: 40:35.

BREAKING!!

Sanctuary City Sheriff Might Be THROWN In FEDERAL PRISON!

HELL YEA!

Texas is making good on its pledge to cut back funding on sanctuary cities and protect

her citizenry against the illegal invasion attempting to cross the state's southern

borders.

However, that pledge is not without controversy some of which comes from directly within the

state of Texas itself.

However, both Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the state Attorney General Ken Paxton are

taking a hard-line stance to prevent those that would flout federal immigration law or

even state immigration laws from running roughshod over the citizens of Texas.

In May 2017, Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed the nation's toughest law prohibiting local

police from interfering with immigration law enforcement.

Gov. Abbot stated of the law known as SB4

"All law enforcement officers are going to be required to follow this law.

If they refuse to follow this law, or if they adopt sanctuary city policies, they are subject

now to the stiffest penalties in America for adopting sanctuary city policies – which

includes jail time where sheriffs could wind up in the same jail they may be releasing

inmates from who are the subject of ICE detainer requests."

The law provides both civil and criminal penalties for city and law enforcement officials who

violate the law.

The Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) recently announced that it is conducting an

investigation into potential violations of the state's new sanctuary city law by San

Antonio Police Chief William McManus.

The investigation could lead to the criminal prosecution of McManus and others involved

under the SB4 anti-sanctuary city law passed in the 2017 legislative session.

This is the first investigation by the Texas OAG into potential violations of the State's

new law.

OAG spokesman Mark Rylander states of the ongoing investigation – "Our office has

received multiple complaints alleging that the San Antonio police chief violated Senate

Bill 4, the Texas law prohibiting sanctuary city policies that the attorney general has

authority to enforce.

We have begun our investigation and demanded that the San Antonio Police Department preserve

all of its records relating to the incident."

Assistant Texas Attorney General Cleve W. Doty wrote a letter to the City of San Antonio

on behalf of the Texas Attorney General's office demanding the preservation of any and

all evidence that might be related to the case.

The letter addressed to the San Antonio Police Department, City Council, City Manager Sheryl

Sculley, City Attorney Andy Segovia, Mayor Ron Nirenberg, and Police Chief William McManus

states in part

"Several citizens have filed complaints with the Texas Attorney General's Office

regarding an incident on December 23 involving the release of numerous suspected illegal

aliens.

The Texas Attorney General's Office will investigate these complaints and the procedure

in Senate Bill 4 contemplates litigation.

We demand that you affirmatively preserve all relevant materials."

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, a proponent of SB4, also asked the attorney general to investigate

the incident, stating –

"I am very troubled by the recent news reports of the San Antonio police chief releasing

suspected illegal immigrants in a case of human trafficking or human smuggling without

proper investigation, identification of witnesses, or cooperation with federal authorities.

Such action could be in direct violation of the recently passed Senate Bill 4 and threatens

the safety of citizens and law enforcement."

The Attorney General's office is demanding records of all officers involved in regards

to the response of San Antonio police to a smuggling incident last month that resulted

in 12 undocumented immigrants being released with no charges filed.

The demand for records encompasses those of all of the officers involved in the incident,

any recordings of the incident, office and personal phone records of Chief McManus, his

assistants, and the officers involved in the incident, and any orders Chief McManus gave

to any subordinate officer regarding the incident or the illegal immigrants.

The letter demands written confirmation by Monday, January 15.

Doty concluded the letter with – "This letter serves to warn you of your duty to

preserve all relevant information pending an imminent, statutorily-mandated investigation."

Under SB 4, parts of which have been blocked by courts, local officials can face fines

for restricting the enforcement of immigration law by the local police.

Several provisions have been left in place, including one that punishes local officials

who won't let police ask about immigration status.

According to MySanAntonio.com –

Police found 12 immigrants who apparently had been smuggled to San Antonio in a tractor-trailer

Dec. 23 on the East Side.

Rather than turn the immigrants over to federal immigration authorities, McManus decided to

charge the truck's driver under a state smuggling law.

Police interviewed the 12 immigrants as witnesses and released them.

In a similar incident in July that left 10 people dead in a sweltering semitrailer, San

Antonio police turned over the surviving immigrants to federal authorities.

McManus has taken heat from council members and the union representing police officials

over the December incident.

Councilman Greg Brockhouse sent a letter Wednesday to the U.S. attorney's office asking it

to investigate a possible "lapse in protocol."

McManus has said police didn't have the authority to hold the immigrants because they

weren't being charged criminally, which immigration attorneys have said is accurate.

However, he's still faced questions about why he used the state charges and why the

immigrants weren't turned over to U.S. immigration and Customs Enforcement.

McManus has responded that ICE was notified and agents weren't prevented from interviewing

the immigrants or detaining them.

San Antonio is one of several cities and counties challenging SB 4, which is under appeal with

the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals

in New Orleans.
