Hey girls and boys, I'm back with new makeup video.
Today I figured to do one of those "back to basics" makeup looks
So I'm gonna tell you a little about my base makeup
I'm gonna tell you why am I using any of these products, how am I using them and with which brushes and all that good stuff!
So maybe if you're just starting your journey to enjoy makeup
Or if you just wanna know WHY am I using these broducts
Then this video is perfect for you
I hope you can find this video helpful, and I'll stop talking around and let's finally get into this business
Like I've said before, I always start my makeup by doing my brows
And if I want my brows to look natural, I'll use brow pencil
And if I want "instagram brows" I'll work them trough with brow pomade
Pretty much whatever brow pencil in allright, currently I'm using one from Colourpop
Aaaaand, I'll take you a little closer
I start doing my brows by drawing a line unredneath my browhairs
So I can see what kinda shape I want them to be
I basically draw em just like my brows are naturally
soooooo, I'm doing the bottom line first
And I extend yhe end of my brow a little, because as you can see it's not that long or intense naturally
After that I'll just draw "brow hairs" on beginning of my brows
and then
I'll start "coloring" it through my natural brow shape
I'll use more pressure while I'm doing my brow curve, because I personally like how it looks
All the other parts of my brow I'll do it with pretty light hand, but I do want my brows to have some shape so I'll use more pressure while doing my brow curve
Aaaaaand, that's pretty much it
I also use some..
what is this?
So basically this is a brow glue.
I have really light brow hairs naturally
I haven't been tinting them in a long while
So basically I wouldn't even need this "brow mascara"
But so they wont fly anywhere, I'll put this to my brows anyways
Also this gives little more texture to my brows, and it makes em look little more fluffy and I like it
So now I'll just do my another eyebrow the same way
I know that for most of the people brows are the most important part
And I do think brows are really important
But I don't spend hours and hours and hours just doing my brows sooooo
Every now and then they go like sisters and another times like cousins
But hey, at least I'm trying
Feels so much more comfortable when you're not so close to me
And next we'll start working on our base makeup
I always always always recommend doing eye makeup first
But because I know that today I'm not playing with glitters or colorful eyeshadows
So I can do my whole base makeup first
But I still always recommend doing eye makeup first
So if there is any fall out or anything it's easy to just wipe of with makeup remover
So I'll start my makeup with this Stilla one step primer
And oh boy, this promises so many good amazing things
Green color will fight back with redness
Peach color will help out with any darkness, for example under your eyes
And that lavender color promises to brighten up your skin
I don't really know how I feel about this primer
I basically use this primer, because it makes your skin a little tacky
And I feel like your foundation really sticks to it, and your foundation will look more like your own skin
I put primer on so my foundation would look smoother and better on top of it
And I usually like to use hydrating primers, because my skin type is really dry
So I'll need all the hydration I can get before I'll start putting all the layers of makeup on
If your skin is over all in pretty good shape, just some smoothing priver would work for you. For example that Wet n Wild one
But if you have lot of pores or your pores are big, you might wanna use some pore filling primer
There is really alot to choose from
I personally like to apply my foundation with some beauty sponge
But if you want more coverage out of your founation
I'll recommend you to use a brush
And when you're picking up your foundation shade
Always make sure it matches your neck skin colour
So when you're picking it up and if there is testers available make a test swipe close to your neck to see if it's a right shade
if it does it usually means it's your shade and it will match with your whole body
Also always remember to bring some foundation to your neck and ears
So it'll match with everything
I'll take you a little closer now so
You're able so see my face with and without foundation
I personally use foundation to make my skin look more even, because I have alot of redness in my face
So basically with foundation it just looks more even out
So this side of my face is with foundation
And this side is only with my natural beauty
And now when I have foundation all over my face, I'll put some concealer on. This is from NYX and lightest shade available.
And I'll only put it under my eyes
Because if I take mirror really close to my face
I can still see some darkness under my eyes and I want to cover it
I know that a lot of people highlight their face with concealer also
Especially their chin, nose and forehead
And they make huge triangles under their eyes, but
When I'n just doing my "everyday makeup"
I simply want my concealer to cover my darkness under my eyes
And if I have some pimples or whatever in my face I'll try my best to conceal them too
And I consciously take a lighter shade on my consealer
So it will brighten up my unredreyes too
Because that's how I just use it
And if you decide to make those huge triangles under you eyes
Please remember to blend also that strike between corner of your eye and your hairline
I personally see way too often girls or boys with makeup
And they had that huge triangle under their eyes
And then I can just see that strike. And it's not cute you guys.
So please remember to take your time blending that concealer
Next up I'm taking my powder and that same beauty sponge
And I'll use my sponge to take some product and press it into my skin
It gives just a little extra coverage, and really sets that concealer in place.
And if you'll miss this step
Most likely your concealer will crease up and show all your lines
Also remember to set your eyelids in place (and everywhere where you did put concealer on)
And after all that it'll be all even out with as less creasing as possible.
Rest of my face I'll just powder with a big powder brush
And because I have dry skin I don't really play around with powder
With a really light hand I'm simply just setting my face so my foundation wont move around during the day
And next up is a step which can go wrong really quick and easy
And we're talking about bronzer
I'm currently using one from E.L.F "sun kissed glow bronzer"
Only because I'm trying to use this up
And with it I'm using this kinda big powder brush
And I particularly like this because this is pointed
So when you're picking up some product it'll mostly go on top of your brush but you can blend it so nicely
And because I'm so pale I use bronzer to just bring some color to my face and also warm it up a little
And always when picking up some powder product..
So all the extra product will fall off
And then I'll just start bringing my bronzer under my cheeks
And I'll bring it up all the way to my forehead
Also some of it under my chin
And under my bottom lip
And just a tiny bit on sides of my nose
And please try not to forget your nose because
Really often you can see girls and boys with beautiful bronzers and contours on sides of their faces
And there will be some blush and highlight and all
And then your nose it just all bare
So I'd recommend to put a little of bronzer or blush to your nose so it'll look more even
Here you can see my face with bronzer
And here without
It brings little bit of life back to your skin
Actually next I'll do my very simple eye makeup off camera and I'll be right back
My eye makeup is all done
I did a really easy and light handed smokey eye. I also put a little yellow color going on to bring some color up.
Next up I'll put some Wet n Wild "pearlescent pink" blush to my cheeks.
I've heard a lot of people to say that you should smile while putting on blush..
But think about it, when you stop smiling
Your blush will fall down a little
SO I always recommend to put blush on just like that
And bring it up and back a little so it'll blend really nicely and naturally looking
I prefer not really dense brush with blush, so it wont get too intense way too quickly.
Next up is highlighter
If you want your highlight to be intense, I'd say use a little brush with it
And just put it everywhere you feel like
But if you prefer more natural look
Use some kind of fan brush
And if you wanna have all the pigment possible,
Swipe your brush a few times in your highlighter
And then spray your brush with setting spray or water (I use water) and then swipe that glow to your face
I put highlighter on top of my cheekbone,
I see a lot of people bringing that highlight really low
But I like to keep it just on higher parts of my face
I also bring it a little right there, on side of my face. Between my eyebrow and hairline
After that just a little on my browbone
cupid's bow
A lot of people put highlighter also on their forehead, nose and chin but I don't wanna make em pop.
Then I'll take a smaller brush and I'll put some on my inne corners of my eyes
It will open up your eyes a little more
Next up is setting spray. I'm using one from Milani "make it last"
And I simply use setting spray to make my makeup last longer
Now I'll just curl up l´my lashes and I'll add some mascara
And I'll finalize my look with a lipcolor
Before I put any lipstick on I always put some lipliner underneath
Because I can be so much more precise with lipliner than just with regular lipstick
So I'll be precise with my lipliner and then I can me little sloppy with my lipstick
Because my eye makeup is so simple today I'll put some pink color on my lips so it'll also match with my blush
While using lipliner I like to give a little tiny smile
So I'll see my cupid's bow way better
I personally really like when cupid's bow really pops up, so that's whats I'm doing
I also don't over line my lips at all
I know they're not as big as "they should be"
But I like em and I'll work with what I naturally have
And because my eye makeup is all matt today I'll add some lipstick AND lipgloss on top
And this is my final look. I'll quickly go fix my hair and find my glasses somewhere and I'll be right back.
So, here I am, all done with makeup and hair
Every time I do one of these natural makeups I keep my focus on blush and lips, so I'm able to bring up some color to keep interest.
And that's all for this video
I hope you find this helpful somehow
I'll catch up with you trough my next video
