BREAKING News!!

IT'S BEEN CONFIRMED!!

They All Just LIED...ENJOY PRISON!!

Politicians and voters alike have been waiting for weeks now to see the results of the congressional

probe into the FBI.

This came about because Democrats insisted that there needed to be an investigation into

the Trump campaign, to try proving that he conspired with a foreign government to win

the election.

There was even a supposedly unbiased investigator put in charge of it.

That investigation has turned up quite a bit of dirt, just not on who the DNC wanted it

to be on.

In fact, the liberal brass in the FBI has been put under the microscope, now that much

of their private correspondence has been placed on public record.

The apparent anti-Trump bias was shocking to many who still held hope that law enforcement

was unbiased.

The heat has been on FBI official Peter Strzok, and his messages exchanged with Lisa Page.

Strzok was in an alleged affair with Page.

The initial information dump was incriminating enough, but when the Congress discovered that

months of subpoenaed texts and emails were missing.

The collective hackles of the congressional branch stood up, and the nation wanted to

know what they were hiding.

While this is still very much an evolving story, according to The Gateway Pundit, investigators

now say that there's no way there was a glitch like the FBI claimed.

They suggest that this was an intentional indiscretion on the part of the FBI:

"Judicial Watch Chief Investigator Chris Farrell told Lou Dobbs on Wednesday he spoke

with three different FBI officials who disputed the claims by the DOJ and Deep State officials

that the Peter Strzok – Lisa Page phone messages were lost in a "glitch" is a

complete lie.

This weekend the FBI released 50,000 text messages between top FBI Investigator Peter

Strzok and his mistress and top FBI Attorney Lisa Page.

But the FBI told Congress thousands of text messages between the two agents were deleted

during a five-month period from December 2016 to May 2017.

The premier international intelligence agency said they lost them.

The FBI "lost" five months of text messages between Chief FBI Investigator Peter Strzok

and his mistress and FBI Attorney Lisa Page.

Chris Farrell from Judicial Watch says his FBI contacts (not part of the Deep State)

say it is impossible to believe the phone glitch excuse.

Chris Farrell: Meanwhile I have talked to three FBI agents who told me this whole lost

text message thing with Samsung is absolute baloney.

That there is no way in the world this could have happened.

That the FBI actively monitors agents' communications both from an insider threat and a counter-intelligence

prospective.

And that their back-ups had back-ups.

So three different sources have told me there's no way in hell that it's possible, that

someone is deliberately sabotaging this or deliberately deleting or lying.

The evidence is compelling that the FBI tried to keep information from those in charge of

investigating the situation.

It makes sense that this would be an unfamiliar situation for the FBI to be in.

Usually, they're the ones doing the poking around.

However, that also dictates that they're very familiar with the rules and how to follow

them…or how to break the rules.

There's a distinct possibility that they're trying to protect more than just their own.

As Freedom Daily reported, the missing messages could implicate a lot of people.

It makes sense that the people who might be in trouble would be a little secretive about

them:

According to Fox News, an exchange from July 1, 2016, revealed that days after it was discovered

that then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch had a meeting with Bill Clinton on a Phoenix airport

tarmac, Lynch knew there would be no charges filed in the investigation.

The exchange came after Lynch said she would accept the findings of the FBI in

the matter.

'Timing looks like hell,' Strzok said in a text to Page.

'Yeah, that is awful timing,' Page said.

'It's a real profile in courage (sic), since she knows no charges will be brought.'

The texts were among 384 pages of messages from Strzrok and Page that were turned over

to the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

However, FBI officials notified committee chairman Sen. Rob Johnson of Wisconsin that

texts between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017, were

lost

by the bureau.

'The Department

wants to bring to your attention that the FBI's technical system for retaining text

messages sent and received on FBI mobile devices failed to preserve text messages for Mr. Strzok

and Ms. Page."

The United States is in the middle of a battle for truth and justice.

If we lose, then we might not ever get our hands on transparency and accountability again.

Let's hope and pray that we win.

Look what I found! - Duration: 11:23.

what does this 60-year old Japanese fishing knife have to do with a Mora

knife and a hultafors stay tuned we'll find out hey there everybody thank you

so much for joining me today I do appreciate it it's the shootin guy and

if your subscriber thumbs up to you it's a it's awesome that you've subscribed

and that you've come around and watched these videos I do appreciate it a lot

it's because of folks like you that keeps me doing this stuff and I do

appreciate it if you are just someone who swung a buy today and you didn't

know what this was all about thank you for stopping by you could have gone

anywhere but you decided to stop by here for that I'm very thankful consider

subscribing because we do a whole bunch of things like looking at knives and

guns and outdoorsy things but these knives today is what we're gonna be kind

of looking at I've got the more the more a knife the hultafors and this very

unusual Japanese I think it's a fishing knife that is for doing cutting up your

fish in for scaling them and doing all that and they kind of get nice and

tucked in like this and it comes in this little package shipment guy where did

you get that thing well the other day we were unpacking some things cuz many of

you know we recently moved and I had some of my fishing equipment tucked away

in a box pulled them all out of there opened up the tackle box and actually

open up my father's tackle box cuz he gave that to me and it was something I

got after he passed on and I looked inside and I saw this and I thought oh

my gosh there it is I was looking for this thing didn't know where it was but

I found it once again and what we're gonna do is we're gonna take a look at

this knife a little bit closer but the reason why these two knives here these

two Swedish knives are here is because this knife even though it I believe it's

a Japanese knife it has a sandy grind just like these two knives and I'll get

do a little close-up here in just a second but you'll see some interesting

scallops here on the edge of the blade and then of course this back here for

scaling a fish it does say stainless steel made in

Japan and that's the only thing that's on it but it's very much in the Japanese

way of being able to close up a knife and protect a knife and it's done very

well protecting itself being inside of a tackle box for as many years as it was a

well used tackle box I might say but what I'm gonna do today oh by the way if

you're interested in looking at these two knives you can I'll put a link down

below and up in the card where you can take a look at the review we made on

these knives so that you're fully covered there and if you're interested

in purchasing them we've got a link down below you can certainly pick up one of

these both of these all of these I do like these I'm gonna get these out of

the way cool knives by the way I'll get this out of the way and then we're left

with this and you know what I'm gonna do before I do anything else I'm going to

tell you the specs overall length while in the scabbard 10 inches blade length 4

and 3/8 inches it weighs in at one and a quarter ounces it's made of a Japanese

mystery stainless steel I have no idea it's made of what appears to be bamboo

and it's got this brass pin that holds the blade inside the ends are made of

some sort of plastic material that keeps out the dust and keeps it from getting

dull now I have no idea what this thing might be worth these days or what it

cost in the day but you know for me it is absolutely priceless it's one of

those things that you get passed on to buy in my case my father and many of you

may know how that is when somebody passes something on it's something

you're gonna keep for my lifetime and then hopefully pass on to my son with

the same story so he understands where this thing came from my father purchased

this long before I was born it's it was roughly 1958 and he was my

father was an avid fisherman he just loved love to fish

ocean fish freshwater river fish pond fishing but his favorite was always

river fishing and ocean fishing and he used this quite a few times when I was a

kid when we were out trout fishing and he would use it to scale using these the

scaler grooves back here scale the fish and then fillet the fish they're fresh

right the hair hit the water put in the little bag and bring the fish home it

was absolutely wonderful I have some very fond memories of this

knife and when my father and I would go fishing so yeah not gonna get rid of

this thing any anytime soon now if any of you know much more about this than I

do please put some comment down below I would appreciate it a lot it looks like

it has what's referred to as a Japanese home oh yeah the home own that's that

edge scalping I'll put a close-up there you can kind of see what that looks like

close-up very very interesting the problem with this knife is right now it

is very very dull and let me get these paper I'll show you of course we got our

handy piece of paper take the knife yeah it kind of tears the paper more than ugh

that's it it kind of tears it though and what I want to do is I'm gonna get out

my work sharp and put an edge back on this baby so that it's gonna be nice and

sharp shooting kid and I are gonna go fishing here pretty soon that's why I

was going through the fishing equipment pulling out some stuff and I want this

thing to be good and sharp case we need to use it so join me outside at the

workbench with the work shirt and now for something called the shooting guy in

the backyard practicing archery

and that was something called the shitty guy in the backyard practicing country

all right here we are in the workshop and we got the work sharp and we're

gonna try to put an edge on this this blade here if you remember the last time

we were out here we're actually putting a new tip on a knife because the tip had

broken off and it did the job quite quite well so I'm pretty sure we're

gonna be able to put a really nice edge on this guy today now I'm not sure if

what the angle is this is a Scandi grind that is it has just one one edge to it

it doesn't have a primary edge and than a secondary edge it's just got one the

thing about it is it's a bit rounded so it's almost like a convex Scandi grind

as opposed to a sharp edge and I can I can see that it's kind of convex just by

the light reflecting of it here so what I want to be really careful with is the

the angle that I set this at and I'm gonna I'm gonna put this in here and I'm

gonna take a good look because I have it set for 25 I am almost thinking it's set

at 30 and it just might be so I'm gonna put it at about 30 degrees and I'm just

kind of sizing it up I'm looking at the belt and the edge and as I lay this

against the blade rest is making full contact and it seems to be so I'm gonna

give it a try alright you ready I'm ready no turning back here we go

well yeah got a burn on that side so let's get it on this side now clean that

up there we go

yeah got a burr over here too okay I think we got the we got a oh I can even

see the line oh cool all right I'm gonna put the next belt on there and keep

going we're getting there nice and polished

yeah we made sure that we strapped it so it was nice and polished edge you know

what I got to get me a piece of paper and we're gonna try this paper test all

right there's our paper let's give it a try

Holy Smoke yeah tons better folks it is razor-sharp and I bet you I want to be

able to fillet a fish really cool with this all right let's bring it back

inside and put it back on the tabletop okay there you go that's what a work

sharp can do on a precious heirloom of a knife like this and if you have

something like this and you need to get it sharpened up get yourself a work

sharp I'm telling you my work sharp isn't paying for this this video by any

means it's just the tool that I have and that I use and that I trust when

sharpening even my most precious knives if some of you know what this knife is

all about and have some details on it please leave a comment down below leave

some comments send me send me your comments so I can learn more about this

knife I just know I love it it was my dad's it's now mine it'll soon be my

son's and if you're also interested here's the Mora knife I'm gonna put a

link down below where you can buy yourself a Mara knife you can buy

yourself a hultafors knife where you can pick yourself up a work sharp these are

very cool things I'll have a whole bunch of links down below when you click on

those links you directly support us so please buy through those things please

that'll help us and keep these kinds of videos coming to you for a very very

long time as long as we can get that kind of a support I do appreciate it a

lot all right that's all I got for you thank

you so much for joining me today and for allowing me to go down memory lane and

take you along with me and sharpen this beautiful heirloom yeah all right you

Julia, Registered Nurse Part 1 - What I do and how much I make - Duration: 5:32.

My name is Julia Walker, I'm 27 years old,

I'm a Registered Nurse, and I make around $56,000 a year.

So I work in a hospital in a Critical Care Unit.

Critical Care Units are typically the most intensive care

that a hospital will provide.

So, I tend to care for the sickest patients

that walk through the hospital doors.

So, as an inpatient nurse, I typically work

about three shifts a week.

That's a total of 12 hour shifts, which you never

leave on time.

It's more like 13, 14 hours that you're on the job

or on the clock, if you will.

And I try to clump them together so that I know my patients,

so I don't walk in the next shift

and get a different patient assignment.

Sometimes you have that happen, but for continuity

of care, that's really nice in nursing.

You get to know your patient, their families,

and they get to know you as well and trust you.

I go on around six at night, get there a little early

of course, get settled, but then I'm there until 6:30,

seven in the morning.

And it's a different pace at night.

There's pros and cons.

Pros, you know, it's not as busy, so that's very nice

in some ways, you know.

You don't have as many family coming in, physical therapy's

not pulling your patient out of bed at four in the morning,

and you really get to be with your patient

and spend more time on the cares, if you will.

But also, it's very hard on you as the nurse

because your circadian rhythm, that's your sleep rhythm,

gets totally off because you go from working,

staying up three nights, and then you have to go back

to normalcy for four days or so.

And so, personally, that can be very difficult.

You have to do a lot of self care.

But when I walk on, onto my first shift,

I take my assignment from my charge nurse,

I go and look at all of my orders from the physician.

That includes medications, what the plan of care is,

any special studies we have to have performed,

and really, I make a plan for those 12 hours

so that I know exactly where I am and where my patient

needs to be.

And I coordinate that plan, not only with the patient,

but their family, and the physicians,

and other nursing staff that I'm working with.

So there's two different branches of nursing

that we're taught in nursing school.

There's the science of nursing,

which is very honed in upon, but then there's the art

of nursing, and that's really where it gets

to the human to human connection and interaction.

That's where you give your patient a hand massage

just because they need a little tension relief.

You clean them, that's honestly one of my favorite things

to do, is clean a person.

There's nothing more humane that you can do to somebody

than help them feel worth and feel like they have dignity.

Cleaning their environment, making sure they have

a nice, clean hospital room, preventing infection,

and sometimes helping them pass on as well.

That's a big part of nursing, and that's one of the most

rewarding things, really, that I've done,

is helping people pass beautifully.

And it can be done.

A lot of people think that the soft skills of nursing

are just ingrained in nurses.

I've worked with many nurses who are fabulous nurses

that don't necessarily have those soft skills,

but have to learn it.

Now, these skills are compassion, patient teaching,

patient education.

There is such an art to explaining a disease process

to a patient.

It's hard to communicate, but most nurses

have a healing touch, I find.

They have, when they lay their hands on a patient,

you can tell that they're communicating their love,

strength, nurturment.

And you can tell when a patient has been cared for well

that day.

And so, while you have to be a great critical thinker

and have a lot of knowledge base, you also really have

to have the compassion.

A lot of people end up in the hospital for issues

that, really, they don't need to be there for.

They're more just needing somebody, needing to be heard.

And that's, it's nice to be that person.

So I love that about nursing.

I love the compassion.

I love being tender to people that maybe

haven't really felt tenderness before.

I love the variety too.

You can be an ICU nurse or you can work in a school

with children.

I mean, there's great variety, and that can change

throughout your career.

You don't have to be stuck in one thing.

Registered nurses have a lot of variability

in what they can make as far as their salary.

They can make anywhere from 35 to 45,000, which is around

where I started in outpatient nursing, to over $100,000.

You can make that kind of money if you become

a clinical nurse specialist.

So you're still a registered nurse but you have

more credentialing, you focus on specific fields,

or if you go into nurse leadership, you can certainly

branch into higher salary brackets.

If you decide to advance your education and obtain

a masters or doctorate degree in nursing,

you have even more potential for salary increases.

So, nurse practitioners in the state of Colorado

right now can make starting around $80,000,

which is an nice jump from where I've been

as a registered nurse.

So that's one of the reasons why I'd like

to become a nurse practitioner.

But also, you have more autonomy as well,

which is very important to some nurses.

Michael, Construction Business Owner Part 2 - How I got my job and where I'm going - Duration: 2:51.

I'm Michael Walker, I'm 25 years old.

I have two different jobs, I run my own company,

which is Walker Wilderness Enterprises,

which builds tiny houses and hunting cabins.

And I also work for a large equipment auctioneer company.

I went to college at the University of Colorado Boulder

and I studied environmental studies there.

Decided when I was getting out of college

that it really wasn't for me,

I didn't really like some of the jobs

that were some of the starting jobs with that.

So I started my own business from there.

And when I was you know,

starting my business I needed another income as well,

and so I got a job at the auction house as well.

As the owner of Walker Wilderness

some of the things I needed to start it

were the passion to start the company,

the idea of the company

and some financial backing, so capital for starting it.

For the containers, I learned quite a bit on YouTube.

Comparing different videos

and how different people did things

and how I thought the best way to do it was.

And then also, my wife's father was

in construction and did drywall,

and he knew a lot of different contractors.

And they would come and help show me a couple of pointers

and I had them,

I went to a couple different job sites with him

just to look at how things were

and talk with different contractors on how they did things

and what their opinions were on how I was doing something.

And then for my auctioneer company that I work for,

I just needed to know some things about equipment

and kinda have a mechanical background.

And from there they had their own little training program

that I went through to really become fully qualified

to do the inspections.

So growth opportunities for both jobs,

first for Walker Wilderness, I think the sky's the limit

in terms of where to go from here.

But I just have to really reach out and do more marketing

and contact clients and really understand what they want

so that I can, you know get the job from them,

and then build more and more containers

and get the word out.

And then for my auctioneer company,

the growth there would just moving up the ladder

in terms of being a manager of inspectors

or going into sales.

So for getting into a company like Walker Wilderness

I think you have to follow your passion

and hone the skills you need for your passion,

and sell your passion.

And then I would say for a pitfall,

don't spend money right off the bat.

Try to figure out how you can keep money in the business

before you start just spending it all right at the start.

For more infomation >> Michael, Construction Business Owner Part 2 - How I got my job and where I'm going - Duration: 2:51.

-------------------------------------------

Julia, Registered Nurse Part 2 - How I got my job and where I'm going - Duration: 7:25.

I grew up on a farm next to my grandparents.

Of course, I lived with my parents,

but my grandmother was a nurse, and so I was first

introduced by nursing by my grandmother

who was an OR supervisor.

And I always was very interested in the compassion

of caring for somebody.

And I got to do that with my great-grandmother,

younger cousins, and so just caring for people

in general was kind of ingrained in me as a child.

I entered college with the intent of going into medicine.

I didn't end up becoming a medical doctor,

as I had initially planned.

Family members and people that I had shadowed with over time

said, "You know, being a physician as a woman

"is kind of hard in this country, even though things

"are changing.

"If you want to have a family, it's a very hard career."

And I learned that from female physicians,

and I guess I took their advice,

and I'm really glad I need.

I ended up going into nursing

against my grandmother's wishes,

and I initially started that journey,

I started at University of Colorado with the intent

of going to medical school, so I got a history degree,

thinking that would set me apart.

And I never ended up taking the MCATs.

Instead, I applied for nursing school

and got a second bachelor's degree.

So in nursing school, you learn a lot of different things.

You not only learn about the physiology and anatomy,

the pathophysiology, pharmacology of nursing,

but you also learn the softer side of nursing.

So you do a lot of social sciences as well.

To get a degree in nursing, you typically have to have

some sort of psychology education,

teaching education even, sometimes that's involved

in programs.

Community service is a big one, too.

A lot of nursing programs require that you do service

in order to give back to your community,

to understand that you're not always taking.

You're not going to your job to take home a paycheck.

Of course, that's why we do it, but in nursing,

you have to have a little bit more of an edge

to why you're doing it every single day.

So my bachelor's program for nursing was 11 months long,

and it was at school actually, so none of it

was online.

So I went to school three days a week,

and then I was in the hospital two days,

so a total of five days, sometimes six.

And then in 11 months I was finished,

and I was taking our state boards in order to practice.

You have to study so much for the NCLEX boards,

and it's terrifying, and you walk out of there,

and you feel like you didn't pass.

Everybody says that.

Most of us do.

Most of us do.

After that, I had to go through the job hunt,

just like everybody else, and it was stressful.

It is very hard to know that you have so much to bring

and get denied constantly.

I had a 4.0 GPA in nursing school, and I sent out

over 20 applications and got denied around 15 times.

And it's defeating.

It is exhausting, it's time-consuming, and it makes you feel

pretty rotten about yourself, but nonetheless the right

thing does come along, and it did for me.

I worked in an outpatient specialty clinic,

which I really enjoyed.

I worked there about a year and a half.

I ended up becoming a manager towards the end

of my time there, and then realized that I wanted

to be a nurse practitioner.

So in order to become a nurse practitioner,

and the best nurse practitioner I possibly could be,

I realized I needed acute care experience

to really hone in on those critical thinking skills.

So then I ended up moving towards the critical care unit.

So the job that I'm currently in, I got through networking,

actually, which is huge in any field, really,

but also in healthcare.

I got it through a family member, actually,

and fortunately this critical care unit

was willing to take on someone that doesn't have

previous critical care experience, outside of school,

that is.

You do get some in school.

I was there for about a year, and then I had a baby,

and I took quite a chunk of time off.

I decided with my husband that raising our child

and having Mommy home with her constantly

was more important, so I'm taking time off right now.

Fortunately, I had a wonderful boss who said

that when I'm ready to come back, she will have

a position for me, and I'm very grateful for that.

So there's so many opportunities for growth in nursing.

Whether you want to stay at the bedside,

which is working at a hospital.

You can move up to a charge nurse position,

management, administrative roles.

Nursing informatics is actually a huge field

in which nurses are getting into with the electronic

medical records system, trying to make those

more seamless for nurses and providers to use.

There's also the clinical side of things

where you can get a master's degree or doctorate degree

and become a nurse practitioner

and basically wear the same shoes as a physician might,

just from the nursing perspective.

There's a lot of opportunity for growth in nursing,

which is why it's such a wonderful profession.

So my long-term aspiration in nursing

is to become a nurse practitioner.

I'm currently in graduate school.

I'm doing classes online right now

while I'm taking care of baby,

and I hope to become a nurse practitioner

probably working with children.

That's my goal.

My specific field that I'm studying in

is family practice, so you can really go anywhere

with that degree, whereas other master's degrees

focus primarily on pediatrics, gerontology or older adults,

or even sub-specialties, like acute medicine,

things like that.

So I hope to be a nurse practitioner,

maybe have some normal hours, not work at night.

Come home and cook dinner with my family

and not have to work Christmas day.

That would be really nice, too.

So if you're in high school, and you're interested

in nursing, go get a job or volunteer in some capacity

in which you are caring for people,

whether you become a nanny.

That's the route I took, actually,

is I did childcare all through college

and worked at a daycare.

You can become a CNA after, I think, age 16.

It kind of varies between states,

but you can become a CNA or a Certified Nurse Assistant,

where you can work in hospitals or retirement facilities,

where you're really focusing on the softer side

of human care, bathing, bed changes, things like that.

That really helps you have an edge up on other applicants

into nursing school, if you can show

that you've already had hands-on patient experience.

And I think the biggest pitfall to avoid

is once you get into nursing school, and you're on the floor

doing your nursing school shifts, don't let

the older nurses walk over you.

That's really common in nursing, and we're really trying

to get away from it, but just take what the nurse says

with a grain of salt if it's very negative and move on.

If you're in nursing or if you've chosen nursing,

you're there for a reason, I'm guessing,

because it's not the easiest profession,

but it's a calling, and so if you feel called,

you should do it.

Five Books I Read Because of BookTube | #StrikeBackVideoAThon [CC] - Duration: 5:02.

Hi, YouTube, it's Kathy, and welcome back to another video for the Strike Back VideoAThon.

In this video, I'm going to talk about five books that I've read because of BookTube.

It can be argued that I read most of my books, if not all of my books because of BookTube,

because I talk about every book I read on BookTube, but shhh.

I had to narrow it down somehow.

And if you've been here for a while, you might know that I'm also really terrible at lists.

So in order to narrow down what I already narrowed down, I narrowed it down to books

that I have physical copies of.

I live in a bachelor suite with another person, so I tend to get all of my books from the

library because I don't have a lot of space for books - despite how many I have [giggles].

So I kind of figured if I actually own these books, and they're books that I read because

of BookTube, they gotta be special.

My lipstick is doing weird things.

That's fun.

The first book I wanted to share with you is The Long Way to a Small Angry Planey by

Becky Chambers.

I absolutely adored this book last year, so much that I actually went out immediately

after finishing it to get the second in the series.

And part of me is low key upset that the third one isn't out yet, because I would love to

read it.

The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet centres around a bunch of people who work together

on a space ship.

It kind of has Firefly feels in that it's like a found family, except for the people

on this ship are very diverse.

There's people from all sorts of different backgrounds, all sorts of different genders,

all sorts of different sexualities, all sorts of different species.

And basically, they work making these space highways, if you will, where they basically

punch holes in the fabric of space/time so you can get through it faster, which just

sounds fascinating.

If you're into any thing set in space, and you haven't read this book yet, pick it up.

Next on this list is a book I kept seeing pop up here and there, and that's

History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera.

I cried at this book [chuckle].

I mean, it's an Adam Silvera book, so what do you expect?

But this was my first one that I read so I didn't know to expect to cry.

This book is about a boy who finds out his ex-boyfriend has died tragically and he has

to deal with all the feelings of grief over that, and meet his ex-boyfriend's boyfriend.

So obviously, with a premise like that, I should have known I was going to cry, but

yeah, it happened a lot.

On to something a little bit happier, we have Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde.

This one is just cute and fluffy.

It takes place at a convention.

It has a friend group of three people who go to this convention together.

One of them is an indie film actress who is promoting some work that she just recent did,

and the other two are there basically as con goers, as opposed to being behind the scenes

and on the panels and that type of thing, so you get to see these two different perspectives,

and there's two different love stories, and it's just really cute.

I read it in a day.

And because one of the protagonists is bi, I was just like, "ah, yes, please".

This next book is a recent release from somebody who I have been watching on BookTube for probably

the longest since I started watching BookTube videos, and that's

The Beginning of the World in the Middle of the Night by Jen Campbell.

Firstly, look how beautiful this hardback is.

Just - it's absolutely stunning.

Jen Campbell, if you don't know her channel, I'll link it down below, because you should

be watching it.

She's a writer based in the UK, and I absolutely love what she has to say about books.

She judges tons of literary prizes, and she writers her own poetry.

This is a collection of short stories, and they're wonderful.

And recently she also released a kids' book, which is also wonderful.

I bought a copy of it and sent it to my niece and nephews.

And the last book on this list, I tried to get from my library and they didn't have it,

although they do have it now which is good because other people should read it, and I

figured based on the premise that I as going to love it, and I might as well just have

my own copy, and that's Eliza and Her Monsters.

This book is about a girl who writes her own web comic and publishes it anonymously, and

it is super big.

Like, a lot of people read it, a lot of people are interested in it, there's tons of people

on these forums that talk about it.

And there's only a few people that really know her identity.

A couple of friends in the forums know who she is and then her family also knows she

does this, but, like, they don't see the big deal about it, and they really don't get the world.

And they think she's just, like, doodling, basically.

And this, along with Queens of Geek are two books that I put on my favourite Fandoms Reads,

which is a video I will link down below and up in the cards because it is a genre of books

that I feel like a lot of books in this genre are starting to come out.

I'm just really here for it.

I find fandom or just enjoying things and wanting to share that enjoyment with others

just such a great topic that I will pretty much read anything that is a fandom read.

If you can think of any Fandom Reads that I should read, that I haven't read, please

let me know, because I want to make a follow up to that video.

And there we have it: just five of the books that I've read because of BookTube and absolutely

adored every single one of them.

Have you read any of these books?

If so, let me know down in the comments below because I would love to talk to you about them.

On the way down to the comments, if you hit that Subscribe button, that would be very nice of you.

You can like and share this as you see fit, and I will see you next time.

Bye!

Why I choose LASA - Duration: 0:35.

- I choose Austin ISD

because LASA has a very strong math curriculum.

And in general, most of its classes

and teachers are very high level

and will prepare you very well for life and college.

The journalism classes taught me a lot better how to write

because writing had been my weaker point for a long time,

but the expressive aspect of newspaper and journalism

in general really helped me develop

that side of my academics.

Power Lead System Income Proof - How To Make $1000 A Week Online - Residual Income Online - Duration: 29:38.

what's up guys it is Paul farmer from paulgfarmer.com today what I want to

do is I'm going to share with you my income proof and results from power lead

system I power lead system income proof and results for the last week for the

last week okay so over the last couple months I've been doing this pretty much

every Tuesday I kind of fall into this routine where I share with you what's

going on and for those of you that don't know if you're watching this and you

haven't met me before you haven't seen me before you know I'm part of power

lead system and power lead system is basically a marketing tools and training

platform where you can use to help you build your business whatever business

that maybe it will help you build your business it's basically the backbone of

any business and anybody that uses it and uses it for a good amount of time

will rave about it because of what it does for them okay so I just want you to

know that I started this business in April of 2015

okay so I started this business in April 2015 but as I'm going to show you today

I didn't take it seriously from the beginning and the reason I didn't take

it seriously was there was a lot of reasons one I didn't understand it I

understand the compensation plan I didn't understand how important it was

to really upgrade to the highest level and you know I'm gonna give you some

advice today and I do hope and trust that you will take this advice because

this advice is exactly why I am making what I'm making with power elite system

in so few months because here's the thing okay I didn't take it seriously

for a very long amount of time it was probably nearly two years I didn't take

it seriously and then you're gonna see I'm going to show you today what

happened when I decided to take it seriously so please I encourage you to

pay attention and follow my advice if you want to get the same

results or better as I am getting because what I'm doing is super simple

anybody and everybody can do it I truly 100% believe that and it really is that

simple it really is I know many people will not say it simple just because they

they in their heads they don't really understand how everything goes together

so I'm going I'm gonna do my best to share with you how to make this simple

how to get the best results I'm going to show you proof of my results because

proof is in the pudding obviously right so without further ado let's just get to

this okay so I'm gonna jump over here to power lead system okay this is power

lead system right here this is my back-office and what's important to

understand is all my buttons are green okay so what that means is I have

purchased every single membership level okay every product that they have in

here so when you first come in you're going to start at what's called the gold

level now the gold level gives you basically all the training and all the

tools outside of not not including the bigger paid programs okay

the upgrades you don't get those but you get everything else one of the things

you get that's really cool is when you come here to the training section is

you're going to get this endless free leads 2017 it's actually gonna be 2018

but this is gonna teach you how to get leads using social media this is about a

four hundred dollar product that's sold outside of power elite system but when

you're a gold member and an affiliate okay so what that means is you're a gold

member a gold member is thirty dollars a month that gives you access to unlimited

marketing tools you know you can trace many pages there's many sales pages just

use the different tools that are provided here and you get access and

then as an affiliate you pay twenty three ninety seven and that unlocks the

compensation plan so you can start earning by sharing this with others so I

highly encourage you to go through this training because this

training will teach you how to get endless leads on facebook for free and

this is something I utilized when I was first starting because when I was first

starting I didn't use paid traffic I'm gonna get to that in a minute okay so

that's that now let's just jump over to my account all right so I'm just gonna

go to Commission's earned and what we're gonna do today is I'm going to share

with you I'm gonna share with you starting from the very beginning to

today where I'm at now okay starting from the very beginning and I'm gonna

walk you through what I did wrong and why I didn't earn so you don't have to

make that same those same mistakes okay so as you can see right now okay

currently I'm at 515 dollars for the week now the week started over on Sunday

now so far I haven't got any platinum sales okay but all I've been doing is I

haven't been doing much to be honest but uh once you get this thing set up the

income keeps coming in so I'm at 515 right now this is probably gonna grow to

over a thousand maybe two thousand I don't know about in the week we'll see

what happens but to me on a Tuesday I'm at 515 that's

not too bad many many people out there you know they'd only make 20 bucks in a

year so this program absolutely works okay so let's just go all the way back

to where it first began okay so power lead system has been around since 2013

it's its software and tool suite is powered by priceless possibilities to

actually start it in the 90s so this is a very stable program this is not a

program that you're gonna have to go and worry about it disappearing overnight

it's not a program that you're gonna have to worry about it not paying you in

fact many people that were in power lead system before are now coming back

because we're showing them just how powerful this program is it's like a

real wakening it's like being reborn again right so

here we are April 12 2015 okay so this is basically where it all

started for me April 12 2015 I that's obviously not the date I

started I probably started a couple weeks before that but I started in April

okay and here's something that you may not know and that is my sponsor quit on

me after a week so a guy came to me he's all hey you gotta get him power lead

system things awesome I knew the guy he quit after a week okay so I haven't

really known my sponsor this whole time and I just want you to understand that

you know many people think it's their sponsor that is their problem I've done

this without my sponsor okay I didn't have my sponsor has never really helped

me I didn't know my sponsor done this without so it is possible you just gotta

want it okay so it's gonna break this down for you okay so I started at the

gold and diamond level and then I refund it the diamond level stupidly

oh it was dumb that's what I did don't do what I did okay and the diamond level

was 147 one-time and it makes you $100 over and over and over and over and over

and over and over okay so you definitely want to upgrade to that you definitely

wanna upgrade to platinum uh get to that okay so here I am at Gold I would

upgrade to diamond I think like a year later I'll come back into diamond I

decide to go back to it but here's the thing okay before I start

showing you all this this is what I learned this is the mistake I made I

listen to somebody that told me power elite system was hard to convert and I

also listen to somebody they told me don't drive traffic unless you have at

least five hundred dollars on the back end well that's great advice but if

you're not all in then what's the point of driving traffic what's the point of

you doing advertising and that's where I was mentally so I had a guy tell me hey

this doesn't convert I believed him stupidly

I believed him because it does convert that was bad advice okay and then the

other thing is I listened to another guy that told me don't drive traffic

unless you have at least a $500 back in product now I believe that's good advice

I really do but that is one of the things that hung me up because I didn't

get to platinum which is 497 it will pay you $400 commissions so I didn't listen

to that you know I didn't I didn't follow through I didn't upgrade I ended

up going from program to program to program to program taking all these were

better than this and I wasted a ton of time I wasted a ton of money and I'm

kicking myself because I could have been making I mean I don't know what I would

have been making now if I would have just focused on this okay so I'm focused

on this now but back then I was and I was all over the place

maybe these are some of the same mistakes you made but I encourage you

don't make the mistake of coming in small plain small and because because

it's just a huge mistake I see people all the time they come in at the lowest

oh I'm gonna test it out and see well you just basically set yourself up to

fail that's basically what you're doing you're basically making it way more

difficult than it has to be now if you have to start at the lower level start

it started that's important but if you have the money and you don't do it

that's just foolish I'm just saying and you can hate me for

that but I'm trying to help you so you can create a full time income okay and

you can do it within a few months when you listen and follow what I'm teaching

you you will get there because obviously I'm doing it so I have experience doing

it I know what I'm doing that's why I'm sharing this okay so let's go through

this 32 bucks whoa 32 dollars yeah well what's that take a guess may be awesome

right that doesn't even pay for my my membership 53 97 a month that doesn't

pay for it okay um here I made 126 I think I'm know I don't know if I had

diamond in I'm not sure I remember I canceled diamond but man I came back but

126 that's that's not too bad to start right ten dollars whoa ten bucks yeah um

that was from a matching bonus okay so you get 50% matching

Onis on the gold sales 26 1814 what guys I'm not in pain enough to cover my 53 97

a month but here I want you to look at this too I stuck with this even though I

wasn't making any money I stuck with it I didn't quit the reason I didn't quit

because I was using the tools I was using the product I was a product of the

product I bought out my training on my blog using the tools so when you're when

you're listening to me talking about this I actually use the tools you know I

don't just sell the product I use the tools so some people don't really use

them but I'm actually a product to the product I've been doing this for a while

this this week was zero Wow zero you know twelve bucks twenty six twenty six

woo six dollars Wow don't spend out all in one place right 40 bucks 46 a hundred

twenty see we're back in twenty fifteen twenty twenty twenty forty six you see

this is at the gold level you see I'm not making a whole lot of money I'm not

driving a traffic because I think in my head that if I don't have five hundred

dollars on the back end what's the point and then what's the point of going out

and busting your butt doing free strategies for twenty dollar sales you

see I didn't understand the compensation plan I didn't understand I got fifty

percent matching bonus on anybody I bring in at the gold level so I make ten

bucks every single time someone makes a sale doesn't matter if they're on my

team a past it doesn't matter if I brought them in the business I'm making

fifty percent of what they make at the gold level that adds a big but I realize

that so here we go twenty zero there's another of you saying 20 alright this is

not money to get excited about this was not exciting to me at all this doesn't

pay any bills but I still stuck with it because I was used in the product okay

forty 20 40 40 40 40 20 20 20 you see like this is like nothing 55 20 20 20 20

you know and these just go on here's 100 20 September 25th 2016 20 20 20

20 40 20 20 20 so so you can see this is just not a lot of money and you can see

look at this I mean this is large v and my next payment wasn't until March 26

okay and then the next one after that jumped to May so I made nothing April

March April May so a whole month of April I made nothing so you can see like

I just wasn't taking this seriously $138 okay so now we're getting into 2017 okay

still still not taking this seriously still I am off somewhere else

yes I'm having somewhat success in other programs but it's not one of the things

that was the problem was there was no leverage built into these other programs

I was in so I just wasn't you know I was bringing people into my business but I

wasn't making hardly any money because there was just no leverage it was just

like a constant it's like a salesperson right my eyes you're gonna see this is

not like this there's tons of leverage built into this and it will just grow

and grow and grow and grow if you decide to grow okay if you decide to do what

I'm teaching you to do on this video okay so here we go

$38 $70 44 136 so I'm coming into August of 2017 still not taking it seriously

you guys can see this still not taking it seriously still not making hardly any

money I mean 136 dollars that's nothing 100

dollars that's nothing right I can't live off that there's no way

right okay so we hit September September okay now late September I decided enough

is enough the program I was doing I noticed some some trends that I didn't

like it wasn't boring how I wanted it to go the leverage wasn't there yes I was

bringing people in my business yes I was successful but there was no leverage

very little leverage not like I wanted okay so I decided enough was enough this

was after I passed up two platinum sales I lost $800 not to mention all the money

I lost from not upgrading before not taking this seriously and

this is where I decided to take seriously and this is where I had a

shift so let me explain the shift because this is super important you

understand this this was my shift okay so I went from you know what I can only

make like $20 a sale what's the point oh you know what I could only make $100

those hardly ever come in what's the point I don't have enough to go by

traffic you know and really make sense of this so I'm not doing anything -

that's it I'm done I'm tired of losing money I'm going on in I'm taking this

seriously and there's no looking back okay I'm gonna build this into something

very strong that I could be proud of and that's all there is to it there's no is

it gonna happen maybe it will happen no it's is certainty like when I went

platinum I knew without any shadow of a doubt I was gonna build this business

strong without any shower but I'm just getting started

I call this okay so September 17th this is where I decided to take this business

seriously I upgrade it so when you upgrade this what happens okay so to be

upgraded all the way we're talking about 700 bucks so you're done so her box plus

the 53 97 per month I want to be clear on that that is your residual income yes

you want residual income residual income gives you leverage it frees up your life

that's why you want it I know people complain about these monthly monthly

expenses okay we're talking fifty three ninety seven for a business you can be

profitable in within a few months within a month within a week you'll be

profitable okay go do that with a brick and mortar business it doesn't exist you

know I have some brick and mortar business owners on my team and they tell

me it's absolutely ridiculous that people get hung up on fifty three ninety

seven it's absolutely ridiculous that people get hung up on $700 $7.00 one

time to start a business that could pay you thousands weekly is ridiculous okay

I'm not trying to bash anyone I'm just trying to get you to think differently I

don't I want to say trying I want you to think

differently because if I can get you to think differently if I could think get

you to think big if I could get you to start believing that this really works

then you're going to start making more money and you're going to be able to

walk away from job you really live the life you want to live okay

freedom that's what you're gonna be able to do okay remember just getting start

so I'm gonna show you my results I'm just getting started like I just started

overcome September I decided to take it seriously so I don't count the rest of

the stuff because I'm just using a product I don't count that that's that's

like hardly anything okay I count now September 17 - now that's what I count

and you watch okay maybe you're impressed with my results now this is

nothing you wait until the end of the year you wait until the summer and see

what I do because I don't play games guys I don't sit around and go oh I hope

and wish this helps this works I really hope it works and I have to look at

10,000 people making results and I still don't believe it because I know

something you are out there you're watching this video now I don't know if

I can do this hell yeah you can do it if I can do it a

guy that came from no sales background no marketing background okay I was a

teacher I taught physical education I got laid off I didn't know what the hell

I was gonna do okay this is not the first program I chose I struggled bad

but I'm telling you you pay attention you watch you listen and you do what we

teach you to do okay well you do what I teach you to do because it works

it absolutely works and you know I'm not an expert there are people out there

that can destroy what I'm doing they have monster lists they know way more

effective traffic strategies to me but you've got to start somewhere you got to

start somewhere okay so I put up a post just yesterday actually success means

doing the best you can with what you have I'm doing the best I can with what

I have okay I'm growing as I go I'm constantly

learning alright so let me go back where was it here we go alright so here

we go here's the fun all right so we are at where do we leave off at we left off

at September where we at here September September September September we go oh

I'm on the wrong wrong year alright so here is where I started taking this

seriously okay so here we go $413 next week 7:30

next week 2055 this is a week this is one week okay this is when I start

taking it seriously look it didn't take me long didn't take me long and you're

gonna see a little bit of a fluctuation because some weeks you know people

upgrade some weeks a don't but overall if you just follow the steps that we

teach it evens out like it works it just flat out works 1,000 over a thousand

okay so this is slower week this was a slower week over a thousand over a

thousand this was a slower week I believe that was during Thanksgiving

okay so during the holidays things slowed

down a bit you know people are more interested in spending time with their

family their traveling or doing things okay 566 here we go three thousand four

hundred seventy dollars okay so obviously it's growing over 2000 and

this is less my last week and I really didn't have hardly any upgrades last

week and I still ended up making up just over $1600 okay

and then we were caught up to this week we're at 515 I haven't had any real

upgrades yet but I'm already at 515 dollars so guys what am i doing how is

this happening how can you be successful how can you get numbers like this or

better okay cuz to be honest with you I want this to be better I do okay but

here we go okay so I'm going to take you through this it's very simple okay

it all starts with a simple system simple system okay we give you we just

take you overhear fast start training we give

you this page so when you get started we give you this page this page right here

it's gonna walk you through the process of setting everything up tell you

exactly what to do how to get traffic how to follow up and that's really all

you need to know ok to get started so basically what I did was I stripped

everything away to make it as simple as possible for you to have success as long

as you take off your your ego right like I know a lot of people have ego and they

want to do it themselves all the stuff and they get caught up in the setup

process and all this stuff that keeps them stuck it makes them getting zero

results it when you follow what what is taught on that fast start training you

start applying what is taught then you're going to be able to get results

as well and we have tons of people get results that are following our training

ok so this is how it works alright I'm just gonna break this down first thing

get it click the link below this video get in get started next step get all in

don't skip that step don't go into that and go you know what I'm just gonna test

it out and see if it works it works I'm gonna show you how I just showed you how

well it works it works okay there is no like maybe it works it might work it

works for you but not for me no it works for everybody you just follow the steps

what we teach so we haven't done for you funnel what a funnel is is basically

it's a machine it's a sales machine now what it does is it collects information

it gives information education it teaches it follows up for you for your

for your prospects for the new people so really all you need to do in this

business is get eyeballs get real people to see this page or some more page to it

and have them go through the funnel ok the next step is following up and that's

pretty much it we just rents and repeat so what we do is we set up our funnel

that's step one in the video the fast start video looks something like this it

has a nice capture page it takes like two little buttons two steps to

set this up takes literally no time at all you're gonna skip this so obviously

the skipped is a pretend some will put their information when they put their

information in they're gonna come to a page like this has a great nice

attractive headline with a great video that's only you know just over five

minutes long it's short but it's to the point teaches what people need to know

and it's just very laid out what is the product how does that the compensation

plan work so it does a telling and the selling for you in a very professional

way okay and then what happens after this on the back of this is the

follow-up so you have emails that are pre-written

they're already done that go out for you on your behalf now in video three right

here video three I show you how to follow up with your list with your new

prospects with the new people that came into your funnel I show you exactly how

to follow up with those people so now if you start making more sales you can get

more upgrades and things like that because the fortune is in the follow-up

ok the fortune is in the follow-up and that's just how the system works so

basically what we do is we get traffic to this page or a page similar to this

that has a high converting offer something that is interesting some kind

10 Scary Confessions Caught on Tape - Duration: 15:02.

Police detectives are allowed to use a wide variety of mind games to convince suspects

to tell them everything they know, and these advanced tactics are designed to get all of

the details until every last memory has been squeezed dry.

Most of the confessions on this list came only after hours of intense questioning, though

some were willing to fully recall all of their wrongdoings as if they were fond memories.

10.

Daniel Wozniak is broke and needs money for his wedding, so he comes up with an unlikely

solution that's twisted, sadistic and downright bizarre.

He asks his friend Sam to help him move some boxes over at his place and instead takes

his life.

This is what Daniel tells the police when arrested a short while later.

. .

The plan was to take Sam's ATM card and drain

his entire life savings to pay for Daniel's marriage.

Daniel disposes of his friend in a nearby park.

He then goes to Sam's apartment and uses Sam's phone to invite Sam's girlfriend

Julie over.

When Julie arrives, she finds Daniel waiting outside instead of her boyfriend.

Daniel says he has something important to show her and lets them inside with Sam's

keys.

Daniel was obviously out of his mind by this point, but here is what he was thinking.

He hoped that the police would mistakenly conclude that Sam ended Julie's life and

then went on the run.

The deception doesn't work as planned and he was quickly taken into custody.

9.

Jeromie ["Jeremy"] Cancel was 24-years-old and homeless when he saw a Pace University

student named Kevin Pravia ["Pra-ve-a"] returning home from a bar one morning.

Kevin asked Jeromie to sell him something and then Jeromie agreed to go up to the apartment

where together they watched Saw.

When the student passed out a little while later, Jeromie started pillaging all of his

belongings.

Then he suddenly got another idea . . .

Jeromie claimed that his main motivation for doing this was purely boredom.

He showed absolutely no remorse throughout his trial and reportedly laughed in reaction

to the court's imposed sentence of 25 years to life.

8.

Linda Stein was an extremely wealthy New Yorker who had once co-managed a famous punk band

called The Ramones decades ago.

She eventually switched careers from the music industry to the real estate business and hired

someone named Natavia Lowery ["Na-ta-ve-a" "Video Pronunciation of Last Name"] to

be her personal assistant.

But when Natavia took around $30 thousand from her boss, Linda confronted her about

it in person, and that's when things got completely out of control.

Natavia grabbed a heavy walking stick from Linda during the middle of the argument and,

in her words…

Though she may look remorseful now, Natavia was so angry that she doesn't remember how

many times she used the walking stick before regaining her composure.

By the time it was done, the wealthy socialite ["social-lite"] was on the ground and

no longer moving.

Natavia was sentenced to a minimum of 32 years for her actions.

7.

Alonso Perez ["A-lon-so" "Per-rez"] is suspected of taking another man's life

and now finds himself inside of a stuffy North Vegas police department interrogation room.

He looks around nervously for a while and then decides to make one last effort at escaping.

Thinking fast, Alonso leverages all of his body weight against the cuffs and snaps free.

He remains seated for a long time and tries to make it appear as though he is still shackled.

I think his original plan was to jump the next person who entered, but then he looks

at the ceiling and gets a better idea.

Alonso stands up and easily removes a square drywall panel.

He rips out some insulation and then makes his way through the rafters.

Amazingly, he was able to drop out the ceiling into an empty hallway and quietly leaves through

the backdoor.

Authorities were able to recapture him four days later and they are now seeking capital

punishment.

6.

When a Florida man named Checkingson Sinclair ["Check-ing-son" "Sin-clare"] discovers

a text message from his wife's ex-boyfriend on her phone, the two get into a serious argument

and Checkingson ends up doing the unthinkable.

He calls the police one hour later and lets them know exactly what he's done to his

wife who is in the bedroom.

What's most concerning is the even tone in Checkingson's voice.

There is almost no emotion whatsoever as he makes his confession.

According to Checkingson's story, his wife became aggressive and he did what needed to

be done to stop her.

He was found guilty of his actions one year later and his trial sentencing started in

February 2017.

I couldn't find anything beyond that, so maybe the final sentence is still being debated

in court.

5.

25-year-old John Paul Suleski ["Soul-les-ski"] was angry at the world when he decided to

randomly take the life of an innocent jogger one day in Fort Smith, Arkansas ["Are-can-saw"].

When police pry for details, John describes the jogger's initial reaction after what

happened.

John's exact motivations seem to vary throughout the police interview.

He seems angry at times, but then seems sad and talks about how much wrong there is in

the world.

During this part of the interview it seems like he thinks ending a person's life is

helpful because of how miserable the world is.

He was sentenced to life behind bars without any chance of parole.

4.

In 2008, an eight year old child named Christian Romero was accused of taking the lives of

his father and another man in their Arizona apartment.

In the state of Arizona anyone 8 years old and up can be legally charged with an offense,

so believe it or not there was an interrogation.

Police were able to get Christian to confess pulling the trigger on the two adults, though

his testimony remains controversial due to his young age.

Some people say that the 8-year-old didn't understand the interrogation and simply felt

pressured to say what the police wanted to hear.

Christian was sentenced to a ward where he remained until he was 15, at which point he

was placed in a foster home and allowed to attend public school.

I couldn't find anything else about exactly why he did this, so if anyone knows more details

about this mysterious case, then please let me know what caused Christian Romero to commit

such a heinous act on that day.

3.

Elizabeth Wettlaufer was a hospital nurse who sometimes cared for elderly patients out

of their homes.

Now she is talking with a police detective after doing what the voices were telling her

to do.

Elizabeth goes on to explain she how she would hear a voice not in her head, but somewhere

deep in her stomach.

This voice would encourage her to over dose her patients with insulin.

When she did as she was told, the voice would howl with laughter and move from her stomach

up into her chest for a while before moving back down and requesting for more.

She said that she personally didn't like giving her patients too much insulin.

She didn't like how they would shake and moan throughout the night until they passed

away clutching their sheets, though sometimes she admits she would watch with some degree

of curiosity.

But apparently this was not Elizabeth's choice.

God was directing her to do this, and she didn't question his divine plan at first.

After a while, however, she thought that maybe it was the devil tricking her into believing

she was doing God's work, and this thought worried her deeply.

Of course the hospital didn't know any of this was happening in her head because she

appeared relatively normal on the outside.

In fact, the hospital was planning to move her into the kids ward to operate their insulin

pumps.

She quickly resigned when she heard about this change because she knew she would lose

control and possibly do something to a small child.

Even in her delusional state, Elizabeth knew she couldn't follow instructions to do that

to a small child from anyone, not even God.

She planned to flee the country, but she decided to check herself into the psych ward instead.

She spent three weeks under evaluation and said enough to her appointed psychiatrist

during this time to raise concern.

The psych ward alerted the authorities who took her in for questioning.

She proceeded to describe in detail how she ended the lives of 8 patients and attempted

to do the same to many more.

In 2017 she was given life behind bars with parole eligibility within 25 years.

2.

Jerrod Murray was a student at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma who everyone could

tell was a little off.

One day he asked a fellow student for a ride to Walmart in exchange for 20 dollars.

The student gladly agreed and Jerrod got inside.

Somewhere along the way, Jerrod pulled a small fire arm and began playing with it.

He told his driver to go to the nearby town of Asher instead of Walmart.

During the long ride, Jerrod talked with his companion about life in general and many other

philosophical subjects.

He seemed to enjoy toying with the young man's mind all the while.

At one point Jerrod unchambered his fire arm and gave both the fire arm and the clip to

the driver to make him feel at ease.

Sometime later, Jerrod took out a second fire arm from his pocket.

He quickly loaded it and pulled the trigger three times.

He got out of the slow moving car and let it stop into a tree.

Then he checked

his prey.

Throughout the interview, the sheriff repeatedly seeks a motive as to what caused Jerrod to

do this.

He learns that Jerrod has absolutely no grudge with this person and only chose them after

playing video games together two weeks prior.

The sheriff searches for some shred of humanity in Jerrod but time and time again finds none.

He was found not guilty by reason of insanity and is now institutionalized.

1.)

On April 16, 2007 Seung-Hui Cho went on a rampage at Virginia Tech that ended the lives

of 32 students.

First he entered West Ambler Johnston Hall at around 7 in the morning and quickly ended

the lives of two students.

As emergency services and police arrived, the deranged student snuck away and changed

into clean clothes.

He went to the local post office and mailed a package to NBC News.

This is the video he sent shortly before going back on campus and ending the lives of over

two-dozen other innocent students later that day.

As you can see, his best attempt to logically explain himself comes out as a strange semi-religious

rant that is impossible for anyone to fully understand.

Even with a camera pointed directly at his face, he cannot clearly tell anyone why he

did this, though he seems desperate for the audience

to understand.

Man, look here, let me tell you somethin. I was born back in 1919.

People were damned lucky to get some food. You didn't have no money to go to no damned school.

Music school or no other one. So, when I learned how to play music, I learned the best way I could, by listening

and The Good Lord just blessed me and gave me one of those badass ears that I could play anything I damn hear.

You know, you don't like to use the word dinosaur

But, I mean it literally, Joe is like that.

I mean you're just like, he is a person from another era that doesn't exist anymore.

He's just, he's so rare. I mean Joe came to Ogden in

1945 for a two-week gig and he hasn't left. And he's kind of become the musical godfather of 25th Street.

♪ Trap set plays ♪

So he might start out on his solo; bat dat da da du da

You gotta have something to say cuz he expects you to say it. There is something about the way that Joe plays jazz.

I don't know how to describe it. All know is I just play.

It's a community sound if that makes sense. He plays with

The Sexuality in Call Me By Your Name - Duration: 6:41.

Oh hi! There's a very good chance I'm gonna cry in this video. Two nights ago I

went and saw this movie called Call Me By Your Name. It is simultaneously this

coming-of-age story, as well as a romance. And, in my opinion, is the most important

piece of queer cinema since, probably, Brokeback Mountain. At the very least you

will never look at a peach the same way again. Trust me on that. The quick

synopsis is that it's about a teenager, living in Italy with his family, who

falls in love with his father's visiting research assistant. It's set in the early

1980s and is about sexuality, Jewish heritage, and (of course) the beautiful and

gorgeous Italian landscape. I want to explore that sexuality portion. You might as

well call me Un-Focused on the Family. But I can't stress enough that this movie is

very, very gay. In the best possible of ways. It captures the struggle of coming

out to yourself, the feeling of shame that can sometimes come along with that,

and of course the gay sex. Now I'm being a bit flippant with that, but as a

bisexual man I am very empathetic with those types of stories. That being said I

cannot imagine somebody who feels uncomfortable with seeing that type of

stuff on screen would ever enjoy watching this movie. But prove me wrong

internet! To the other queers out there, however, I have to say that Timothée Chalamet'sl

performance is wonderful. Not that he's all that much older than the

seventeen-year-old, Elio, that he's supposed to be portraying,

but there's just this naturalness to the way that he acts. He is a teenager so

there's these extreme moments of passion and moodiness, but he also has this sense

of the carefree. And in moments there's even a bit of goofiness. This is not the

idealized Hollywood version of what a teenager is supposed to be. Instead it's

a much more dramatically interesting one. Armie Hammer gives his first performance

that I've ever truly loved. He's been fine in other films, I've just never been

blown away. As Oliver he has the professionalism that you would expect

from a serious research assistant, the knowledge that their budding love is

going to be a problem, and the tenderness to make sure that neither side is

feeling pressured. But here's a secret. In many ways this is a fulfillment of a

fantasy that I had as a teenager. To, you know, live in the Italian countryside

while an acclaimed singer-songwriter composes songs to score my life. For

a Canadian kid I would have picked Rufus Wainwright, but I guess the millennials

need their Sufjan Stevens'ssssss. That rolls right off the tongue, doesn't it? No, it's

that the unrequited love that I had would become requited. That the person

that I was crushing on would grab me in their arms and sweep me away to a world

of happiness. Of course that was just a fantasy. I never had my Armie Hammer. I had

my arm. And a hammer. I was very confused with how sex worked as a teenager.

It's – slight spoilers for the movie coming ahead – but that happiness doesn't even

happen in this movie. It feels like it is, but then when it doesn't you feel that

crushing disappointment that Elio exudes but tries desperately to hide. In gay

relationships (not so much nowadays, but definitely in the past) you had to honour

your relationships in silence. You needed to hide your true self away, fearful of

the way that society would react to you, and accepting the fact that your future

may not have a happy ending. Which is why I treasure so much the way that Michael

Stuhlbarg portrays the father of Elio in this film. He's definitely not the father

that you normally see in these types of movies, and he's absolutely not the

stereotypical 1980s dad reacting to his son's sexuality. Near the end of the film

he calls the son over to come and sit on the couch and this is what he tells him...

This was never gonna have a happy ending. Myself, as an audience

member ,definitely wanted there to be but the realities of the time period – as well

as the way that the characters were being portrayed – it just wasn't meant to

be. One of the underlying themes, then, is that it's okay to feel sad because then

you know that the thing actually mattered. Not exactly groundbreaking, I

admit. But I think the story surrounding that message is. Having a father tell his

son that he not only approves of the gay relationship that he knows that he's

been having, but also that you should be proud of it, is mind

blowing for a guy who grew up at a time where gay equated as evil. "Don't kill it

and with it the joy you felt." This can be awful for teenagers or adults alike to

hear, when they're in the middle of devastation. You want to kill the sadness,

and that may mean trying to destroy the happiness you once had because it is so

closely tied to the sorrow. But to hold on to that joy instead of having the

grief overtaking you is a powerful message, no matter what your age is. And

it's something I should probably be better at following myself. This is another

bit of a spoiler: At the very end, Elio is crying, the credits are rolling, and he's

just staring off into the distance for a few minutes. At the very end, before it

does cut to black Elio breaks the fourth wall and stares directly at us through

the camera, before getting up and going and sharing a meal with his family. To me

he's accepted his grief. He's not allowing it to define him, and he's

staring at us, the audience, to defy us so that we can stand up and continue

living. This movie is not exactly plot heavy. It languishes on beauty – be it the

human form, or nature – it relishes in the silences of everyday living. Both the

writer, James ivory, and the director, Luca Guadagnino, need to be commended for

maintaining that tone for the entire picture. This movie was nominated for

four Academy Awards, and I polled my audience on Twitter about whether to

actually do 24 individual videos about each category of the Academy Awards. The

"NOs" very clearly won out. But instead what I think I'll do is five videos

going through all of the different categories. So I'm sure to be talking

about this movie more in the upcoming weeks. If you've seen the film I'd love

to hear your thoughts on it. Did you have the same response? Did you hate it? Let me

know down in the comments below, I'll be responding to each and every one. Thank

Webcomics | BookTube - Duration: 10:57.

Yes, I consider comics to be books, including webcomics.

Hello, I'm Rogan and welcome.

A while ago, in one of my wrap-up videos, I asked you if you would be interested in what webcomics I read.

Quite a few of you said yes, so here you go.

If I don't say where it's from, it's from Tapas. And the majority of these are from Tapas.

I won't mention any "slice of life" type comics in this video. This will be long-form comics.

Also, many of these comics are still in progress. They're not finished, so I will say specifically if they are finished.

I will link all the comics I mention in the description below. I will also link a few short-form comics.

So, in no particular order, let's get into it.

"Always Human"

This is on WebToons. It's fantastic!

Someone recommended it to me when I asked about webcomics, and… It's beautiful. This is a finished one.

It's set in the future, it focuses on two main characters. Both women, and it's sort of a lesbian romance, kind of.

But it also includes a lot of struggles with identity, and disability, and… It's beautiful.

"Sharp Zero" Oh, the queer representation in this is FANTASTIC.

They have bi, pan, ace, genderqueer/fluid, trans, you name it, they have it.

They even have a few disabled characters.

Sharp Zero is set in, I guess, the not-too-distant future where superheroes are a real thing,

The main character's a normal person and then he somehow becomes a "superhero" but we still don't

"Desert Rose" It's still in progress. The main character, a boy, has a celestial being in him.

"Everblue" It's hosted on its own website.

and there's a lot of them.

know what happens, because it's still in progress.

It's hard to be normal like that.

The story follows him and another main character on their journey to unite the nations and save the world.

Now, the main character, the boy, is trans.

[text: *And so far, one disabled character!]

There's also magic and fun stuff in this! [text: *And so far, one disabled character!]

You know Waterworld? Similar concept with no land, just islands that were built by people.

So Waterworld, and Avatar: The Last Airbender, kind of. Those two combined. Kind of.

It's really good! It does take a while to update because… Several reasons, but it's worth it. Worth it.

"The Property of Hate" It's on its own website.

I'm not even sure how to describe this story because it's very…different. Unique. It's…

I really don't know how to describe this story. I tried looking up the website to see if it had a blurb, but no.

It's really interesting.

"Sprinter" I'm just going to read the blurb for this one.

Sprinter was supposed to save the world; she saved herself instead.

This is beautiful.

Raised beneath the weight of an overwhelming responsibility, an impulsive flight

But it's not long before she's forced to acknowledge the consequences of her [decision].

whisks her [from an ordered life] into one of adventure.

The art style of this comic is interesting because the majority of the comic is in black-and-white.

But each character has a specific color associated with them.

So parts of their clothing will be of that color. It's really cool.

"The Flying Ship"

The story opens with the king announcing, "If you want to marry my daughter,

you must create a ship that can fly." So that's a very interesting start.

Right now, the comic is mostly following the main character who is homeless, she travels.

She ends up with a dog, traveling around. I'm not going to say anything more than that.

Other than one, the story has magic, kind of magic, it's fantasy.

And the main character is queer.

…in some way. [text: *And disabled!]

"Scandinavia and the World" It's on both Tapas and its own website. This is a cute comic.

It basically takes the Scandinavian countries and turns them into a person.

The drawing of them has a head that looks like a stereotypical person that lives in that country.

It has different stories about their cultural differences, or things that are special to their cultures.

Sometimes it'll show how they behave when they're in a group. It's really cool.

This is kind of short-form but long-form? That line is blurry, so I'm just including this because it's a good one.

"Lochbank Cryptid Society" I will read the description for this one as well.

Three teenagers start an after school club dedicated to hunting cryptids and legends of their small town,

only to discover a conspiracy bigger than anything they set out for.

This is good so far! It has one non-binary character, and I think a couple of the main characters are queer too.

"Demon House" A woman who needed an apartment found one for very cheap, and moved in.

The landlord told her, "Just so you know, many tenants can't, don't live there long. So just be aware,

because they keep saying there's ghosts in the house or something, so you know."

She thought, "That's fine, I can handle some imaginary ghosts, that's fine, whatever." Moved in. Oh.

The whole house is full of demons. And the story goes from there. It's really good.

One character is gay, and there's one ace character, I believe.

And I think there's a few other queer characters too. I'm not exactly sure.

"Cupido" It follows a person who has the ability to see the marks that connect soulmates.

He sets out and tries to connect soulmates without screwing up things. He does that with a friend.

It is good. The main main character is gay, and his friend is bi, I believe.

...Or maybe it's the other way around? Anyway, one is gay, one is bi. That much I know.

"Himawari Share" It follows three international students living together in Tokyo.

This comic is SO relatable, because I experienced living internationally for a year.

And the way this comic is done is beautiful.

The main main character used to live in Japan, but moved to the US when she was seven.

She speaks English. So she came as an international person, being lost, not sure…

Not really understanding fully everything in Japanese. So, the artist does this.

You know the dialogue bubbles?

If the character understands, she will show the English words, but if the character doesn't understand,

she will show a blur. It will have clear Japanese, but the English is blurred.

So she writes in both languages in the dialogue.

And you can almost see the evolution of [the character's] understanding of Japanese.

At the beginning, there's a lot of gaps, and as it goes on you can see more and more words, and less gaps.

So that's really cool. I like that, I relate to that experience.

"Les Normaux" This is a world where the real world and the supernatural world exist,

but the real world doesn't know about the other. They exist together, but hidden.

This story is set in Paris, supernatural Paris.

It's really interesting because it's basically a parallel world, but in the same place.

It follows a human wizard that finds out he has magic, and he can do that stuff.

So he moves to Paris to learn, it goes from there.

The queer representation in this is pretty diverse. It's really good.

"MaryDeath" This has a very similar feel to Calvin and Hobbes.

So if you enjoy Calvin and Hobbes, read MaryDeath.

Death is a person, Mary is the only one who can see him.

They have conversations about the universe, about death, about different stuff,

similar to Calvin and Hobbes.

"Project Nought" I'll read.

Ren didn't expect to be thrown over a hundred years into the future for an exchange trip,

but it's apparently what he signed up for.

It's interesting so far. It's still really new so…we'll see what happens.

This is by the same person who drew Rock and Riot, the comic I mentioned in my wrap-up.

So I'm guessing, because—based off that comic, this probably will have a lot of

queer representation in it down the road.

"what qq" This is technically a "slice of life" comic, but it was drawn by

a deaf trans masculine genderqueer person.

And they've recently been doing a series, well, a long form comic of their experience figuring out

who they were. I thought I would include this, just because. [text: Again, I can do what I want.]

That's all! I know it's a lot, but I read a lot.

This was probably more than half of what I read (edit: lies, less than half). I read a lot so…

I hope you found some that you're interested in reading, and if you do read any of them,

please let me know in the comments what you think of it.

Start. - Duration: 4:50.

My name is Chris, and I'm a filmmaker.

I'm starting my channel because I love filmmaking,

and I love telling stories.

I honestly don't know exactly where I'm going

and it's not just because I'm driving a way I don't normally drive.

I just know that my channel's going to be about

story.

Directly or indirectly everything, well,

everything is a story.

So, imagine this:

A young girl, all alone in a strange land,

has no idea where she is, or where she needs to go.

She meets all sorts of interesting, odd characters.

There may or may not have been some drugs

or some sort of altering substances involved.

[wind blowing]

[footsteps] She was lost at every turn.

Finally, she finds a character

who she thinks can help her.

Or, at least, he's willing to converse.

But, of course, this character is only mildly helpful.

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"

"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,"

said the Cat.

"I don't much care where—" said Alice.

"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat

"—so long as I get somewhere ,"

Alice added as an explanation.

[wind blowing]

"Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat,

"if you only walk long enough."

[footsteps]

So in case you couldn't tell,

that was from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

For too long, when it comes to video and telling stories,

I've wished and I've hoped and I've dreamed,

and I've started and I've stopped

and I've dabbled.

But this is me walking.

Creating regularly,

filming, telling stories,

and just

making films.

I don't know everything my channel will entail,

but everything will revolve around filmmaking and story.

Some of it will be like this,

talking about story.

Some of it will be actual story,

like short films and such.

And some of it might be

behind the scenes or tutorials,

or the making of stories.

I have a full time job.

I have a wife. I have kids.

But telling stories with video is my passion.

I don't do it nearly enough,

so this is me giving myself permission

to tell stories with video.

One of the goals of my channel is to,

to tell stories regularly

and just work on the craft of filmmaking.

So this is me making something.

Forcing myself to be consistent in storytelling

and not letting my dreams and goals

fall by the wayside.

I love storytelling and I love filmmaking.

I can't say exactly where I'm going,

but I hope you'll come along for the ride.

Because I think

everything is a story.

Convert MSA files to Atari ST floppy disks - Duration: 8:53.

Vincent Rivière presents...

Convert MSA files to Atari ST floppy disks

Hi, all!

Today, I will show you

how to download MSA files

and convert them to floppy disks

for your Atari ST.

MSA files represents full floppy disks,

just like ISO images for CD-ROMs.

MSA stands for:

Magic Shadow Archiver

That's the most popular tool

to create floppy images on Atari ST.

We will download files with a PC,

and transfer them to Atari

using an intermediate floppy.

On Atari,

we will need the MSA tool to write floppies.

It can be found at various places on Internet,

for example, on TiK's website.

The website address is:

http://tik.atari.org/

In the left menu,

click on "Emulation - Utils"

Go to the bottom,

and click on the yellow link:

MSA II v2.3+

Save that file on the desktop.

I recommend you to rename it to:

MSA.PRG

to avoid Long File Name trouble

due to "+" character

Then you need a floppy disk

formatted as Double Density.

I explained that in detail in previous videos.

You can now copy the file MSA.PRG

to the floppy disk.

We can find a lot of MSA floppies on Internet.

I propose you to go to Pouët

to download a few demos.

We will start with Flashback,

a production of group TCB "The Carebears"

in 1993.

The website address is:

http://www.pouet.net/

In the search box, type:

flashback

We are interested in the demo

with Atari logo.

On the left, click on the demo name.

On the right, click on "Download".

Then save the file on the desktop.

Open the ZIP file,

and extract the file FLASH.MSA to the desktop.

We can see that this file is only 349 KB.

This is because MSA files are sometimes compressed.

And we are lucky:

As this file is less than 700 KB,

it will fit on our PC floppy.

So I can copy it to the floppy right now.

Then I eject the floppy,

and I insert it in the Atari.

Open the A: drive,

and run MSA.PRG

An information dialog appears,

just click on OK.

Click in the field "MSA-File"

and select the file: FLASH.MSA

On the right, check option "Format Disk"

and uncheck option "Protect Disk".

On bottom left,

click on "File ⇨ Disk"

Then click on "Continue"

Now, the program loads the MSA file into memory.

This operation takes about 35 seconds.

Then the program asks

to insert B floppy into drive A:

You must insert another floppy,

which will be completely overwritten.

The program formats it,

and writes the contents of the MSA file.

This operations takes about 2 minutes and 40 seconds.

As soon as write is finished,

you can push the Reset button

to reboot and watch the demo.

In case of Flashback, that was easy.

because the MSA file fitted on the PC floppy.

But in practice, this is rarely the case.

As second example,

we will download the Flip-O-Demo.

That's a production of groups

Diamond Design and Oxygene

also released in 1993.

Go back to Pouët,

and in the search box, type:

flip-o

We directly land to the demo page.

On the right, click on "Download"

then save the ZIP file on the desktop.

Open the ZIP file,

and extract the MSA file to the desktop.

You can see that it is 762 KB.

So it can't fit on the floppy.

We will need to split it,

and transfer it in 2 times.

But that's not so simple.

because MSA files have a special header.

We need to use a special tool to split them.

To do that, we will use the tool

"MSA Converter" on Windows.

The website address is:

http://msaconverter.free.fr/

On the left, click on the link:

MSA Converter 2.1.zip

and save the archive on the desktop.

Open the ZIP file,

extract the file msa.exe to the desktop,

then run it.

In the "Tools" menu,

click on "Convert a disk image".

On the right, click on green "+"

and select: FLIPO_P.MSA

Unfortunately, MSA Converter does not know

how to directly split an MSA file.

We need to use the "ST" intermediate format

mainly used by emulators.

In the "Conversion Parameters" zone,

uncheck the 2 checkboxes:

"Compress (ZIP)" and "Overwrite without asking".

Then click on the icon: 🗐 ⇨ ST

A new file flipo_p.st appears on the desktop.

It is strictly equivalent to the MSA file,

only the format differs.

Close the conversion tool,

and open it again.

Click on "+"

and select the file: flipo_p.st

In the field "Nb of files (MSA)",

select: 2

and keep the 2 checkboxes unchecked.

Then click on the icon: 🗐 ⇨ MSA

2 new files appear on the desktop.

flipo_p_a.msa and flipo_p_b.msa

They are the 2 halves of the ST file, in MSA format.

To avoid any Long File Name issue,

I advise you to rename those files to 8.3.

For example : flipo1.msa and flipo2.msa

Open the File Explorer,

and in "This PC", open the floppy.

Delete the old MSA file to make room.

Then copy the file flipo1.msa to it.

Then insert the floppy into the Atari.

Do exactly the same as previously,

but with the flipo1.msa file.

This first half contains tracks 0 to 39.

MSA detects that automatically.

Then start again with the flipo2.msa file.

This time, MSA writes tracks 40 to 80.

When write is over,

press the Reset button to enjoy the demo.

That's all!

Now you know how to download

any MSA or ST file from Internet,

and convert it to real floppy for your Atari ST.

Don't hesitate to subscribe,

as I still have a lot of things to show you

on Vretrocomputing.

See you soon!
