Becoming a parent

This is the CF Hybrid from Boundless, a hybrid vaporiser

suitable for dried flowers, for resins and also for e-liquids.

This is the box, let's see what it contains.

We take a Dabber, scrape a little on the glass and we will place the hash,

the BHO or whatever you want in the area of the ring, the quantity you want,

turning it and loading more or less resin.

Once loaded, we re-screw the capsule at the bottom,

open the vapo with the bowl and put it in this position,

with the resin below, and place it inside.

We close the vaporiser and we can vaporise any type of resin.

Let's see now how it works for grass, which is also very simple,

as you can imagine. We remove the capsule, we won't use it for the herb

but we'll put the herb directly inside the bowl.

We are going to break it down, there are people who prefer to grind the bud

to make it finer, and this gives it more flavour

but the tokes will be much stronger, and it will be harder to vaporise.

This way the terpenes will also be much better.

Load the bowl… a little more, making sure it's well filled,

we close the vaporiser, in this case upside down… okay,

and now to vaporise (it's very simple) we press the top button 5 times.

We can see that the screen turns on,

and after a moment the temperature will appear so we can adjust it.

With the upper button we raise the temperature

and with the lower one we go down. We'll set it for example at 195ºC,

once set we press the upper button

and we can see how the vaporiser temperature starts to rise.

until it reaches the maximum temperature,

or the temperature that we've programmed, in this case 195ºC.

When it reaches temperature, the screen will be fixed at the degrees set

and a steam-like icon also appears on the side, so you can see right away.

This is the moment to start vaporising.

We're reaching 171ºC, it's not enough, it takes about 30-40 seconds

to reach normal vaporisation temperatures, between 185 and 200ºC,

and once it's heated up, I don't know if you can see it,

the icon at the fixed temperature, means we can vaporise normally.

We turn the nozzle, which is very practical, and give a strong puff…

Now to vaporise e-liquids, like this one with CBD we have here,

but the first thing we have to do is clear

the bowl of the herb that we just vaped…

very simple, open the bowl and remove the grass with the dabber or a tool…

the bowl is ceramic and quite tough, but we should take care

Becoming a parent

Is probably the greatest identity change

I've gone through in life

The biggest sacrifice as a parent

Is probably less and less alone time

I met my wife

When we were elementary school classmates

Perhaps I'm feeling nostalgic

I love it when she puts her hair up in a pony tail

She's the prettiest like that

I think it was two weeks before my due date

When I cut my hair short

What aches the most

Is when she expressed

Her lack of self-confidence

And that she doesn't dress up

Or apply makeup anymore

I usually just wear nursing clothes

I don't have time to manage my hair

When I first met her

It was me who made the first move

She did something that I really liked

She smoothed her hair backwards

She wanted to cut her hair short when she was pregnant

I even tried to talk her out of it

Persuading her to keep growing her hair

I'm the main caregiver

Meaning that I spend 24 hours with my baby

I'm always with them

And I noticed that it's impossible

To spend time on my hair

To wash it

Like gaining weight

Or dressing up

These were all what we expected

It's just that

To be honest

Her postpartum hair loss

We didn't think it would be this serious

My hair falls when I wash it

It falls when I blow dry it

There's so much hair that I need to use a broom

In old photos

When I had long hair

I looked so confident

Now when I look back at the photos

Gimp: Cut Out a Furry Object or Short Hair - Duration: 10:07.

The technique in this tutorial can be used to select a furry object or short hair.

If you want to follow along, you can find the download links

for the images in the video description.

Go to file, click open and open the photo of the two cats.

Click on the zoom icon in the top right corner of the window

to maximize the image in the window.

Now we right click on the layer and click add alpha channel.

Press Ctrl+Shift+D to make a duplicate of the layer.

We will use this duplicate as a reference.

Now we press Ctrl+Shift+N to make a new layer.

Name it white background and make the layer fill type white.

Then click okay.

Hit the little green downwards pointing arrow at the bottom of the layers panel to lower

this new layer one place in the layers stack.

Activate the top layer.

Go to the toolbox and activate the free select tool.

We are going to make a selection of our subject but we make sure that we stay a little bit

within the boundary of the hair.

Zoom in by holding the Ctrl key down and simultaneously rolling the mouse wheel.

Click the first point.

Click the second point so we get a straight line.

Then we click the next point and while holding the mouse button down, we can draw a line.

Let go once in a while to make new points.

When we hold down the space bar, the cursor changes into the move tool.

We can now, by moving the mouse without clicking, move the image.

When we let go of the mouse, we have the free select tool again and we can continue selecting.

With the backspace key we can undo one or more previous made points.

Then we can just continue with our selection.

For the sake of the tutorial we will go fast forward.

When we are back at the starting point, we hover over the last point and when it turns

yellow, we click and our selection is closed.

Go to view, click zoom and then fit image in window.

Go to select and hit invert.

Then we go to edit and here we click clear so our background is deleted.

Back to select and now click on none.

In the toolbox we activate the smudge tool.

We choose brush bristles 02 and leave the size on the default 20.

Zoom in again and here we start smudging the outline of the hair like shown in the video.

Try to follow the flow of the hair.

We can also jitter while holding the mouse button down.

When we make the white background temporarily invisible,

we can see if we are still on the right track.

We can make the rate higher to make longer strokes, or lower to make shorter strokes.

In this way we follow the outline of our object until we are satisfied.

Now we will again go fast forward.

When we feel its okay, we go to view, zoom and fit image in window.

Then we make the free select tool active again.

We will make a selection of the edge of the subject like shown in the video, except the

back of the right cat.

We are going to sharpen this area.

First we go to select, feather and now we feather the selection with 50 pixels,

so we will get a smooth transition from the sharpened selection to the rest of the image.

Hit okay.

Go to the menu bar, click filters, enhance and sharpen.

Drag the dialog box to the top of your screen.

Then drag it out and move the image in the preview pane.

By sliding the sharpness slider, we can see that only the selected area is affected.

Make the sharpness 80.

Then click the preview of and on to see the difference.

Satisfied?

Hit okay.

Now we will make a selection of the back of the cat, to blur this area.

When we close this selection, the previous selection disappears.

Again to select, feather and just click okay, so this selection is

also feathered with 50 pixels.

Click filters, and now blur and gaussian blur.

Move the dialog box to the top of your screen again

and pull it out.

Make the blur radius 30, click the preview of and on, and then click okay.

Go to select and click none to deselect the selection.

Now we go to file, click on open as layers

and here we search for our background image, and we open it.

Hit the green downwards pointing arrow in the layers panel to move the background image

below the image of the cats.

Go to image and click fit canvas to layers.

Then click on view, zoom and fit image in window.

Now activate the move tool, check the option move the active layer

and activate the layer with the cats.

Move them in a way that you get a proper composition.

Then we activate the crop tool in the toolbox and we drag out a cutout.

By moving the handles and or the corners we can make corrections and by click and drag

inside the cutout, we can move the whole cutout.

When we think it looks okay, we click in one of the corners or hit enter to apply.

Click on the background layer to make the yellow dotted line invisible.

When we go to file and click save as, we can save our work

with all the layers as an xcf file.

But when we want to have an actual image, we go to export as, give our image a new name

and export it to our image folder.

And there we have it, a method to select a furry object or short hair.

Radiocarbon in dinosaur bones - it shouldn't be there! - Duration: 1:01.

How would our view of dinosaurs change if scientists found carbon 14 in their bones?

Well, a group of geophysicists claimed to have discovered exactly that—carbon 14 in

dinosaur bones!

This is indeed a shocking proposal for those who believe that the last dinosaurs died out

65 million years ago, because carbon 14 decays so fast that it could not possibly survive

that long.

There should not be one atom of carbon 14 present in dinosaur bones, if they really

are as old as is usually claimed.

After going to great lengths to rule out contamination, the researchers concluded that they had indeed

found carbon 14 in dinosaur bone.

These results seriously undermine the evolutionary story of long ages of earth history.

However, they fit nicely with Biblical history, whereby dinosaurs lived only thousands of

years ago, with their fossils forming from animals buried during Noah's Flood.

everyone this is a look at one of the first lego seasonal series brick heads

this is the Valentine's be from will you be my Valentine and it's already one of

my favorite brick heads that they've done because it has personality it has

purpose it has a certain value of its own and it is its own thing and it comes

with not just the brick head and a stand but a little bit of flourish a little

bit of embellishment around the edges the brick head itself is just a a person

in a bee costume they have a little bit of rosy cheeks going on there or you

know it's a little bit of a little bit of warmth and in this hand is a stick

with a bucket of honey at the end of it and the other hand right now is a heart

that is on some clear pieces got the antennae up on top and they got even

wings on the back and these wings can be adjusted has a little stinger tail as

well and bring these in or outs to make them a little bit more visible from the

front and then you get some of the new 2018 flower pieces used in this so this

has the new stems that are stackable much more closely and more effectively

than the old ones they also have the new actual flower pieces included in red

over here you also see one in white you also see one in the green color they've

got the bright green colored leaves and their handful of those including set

same thing going on over here on the other side and they want you to be able

to change these out if you would prefer to use the more summery design of just

you know kind of checking it down a notch and and just using sunflowers so I

have a large one for that side and the other side get that off from the base

the shorter one over here just to keep it from being too boring Lee symmetrical

I like it I mean I like the other flowers better but I appreciate the

ability to do a little bit of config raishin and i appreciate the inclusion

of the extensions to the base you know that actually kind of creates a scene

turns this into somewhat of vignette of its own rather than just having the

relatively cold stand that just says hey this is a figure this is a collectible

thing this this is more to me and I like it I like what they've done it's a

simple break head you know it's not one of the more complex ones with the hair

and the face and everything and even the accessories but all the stuff around it

I think is what really makes this the seasonal ones have the seasonal little

print on the 2x4 or just to kind of denote them the whole thing is raised up

just a little bit at the level of plate underneath and that's pretty much it for

this one good start to the series and it is indeed just the start of a new series

they've got all of these planned for 2018 they may end up showing up with

more of them before we know it you know some little extra special ones that may

appear in between but these are looking pretty appropriate as well I wonder if

there's anything that we're not seeing with these as well

because notice that these don't show you anything to the sides even for the B

which does include extra stuff so hopefully there will be more

embellishments around that'll add even more character to those sets and

eventually we'll be seeing what will be coming up for 2019 as well that's it for
